1. Bittersweet Story - I’m grateful for this book. My father was an abusive alcoholic from the time I was eight years old until I was fifteen. My mother never divorced him and never had the slightest interest in other men. The only man in her life was my dad and she loved him through the horrible years. Thankfully my dad gave up alcohol cold turkey, about six months before my mother decided to let him move back in with us. Then my dad was truly never took a sip of alcohol again. My parents remained married for over years total, until my mother passed away twelve days after being diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. My dad was heartbroken. He came to live with my husband and me until he died in his sleep three years later. I know their relationship had a lasting impression on me. I never forgot the bad times. Yet in the end, he was a good father to me. This book spoke to me in a personal way. My life with them was bittersweet and it had a major impact on my life, as an only child. Life is full of mixed blessings. It’s how we handle all of them that ultimately matters. I’m much stronger than I once was. My life is finally as close to perfect as it can be. Thank you for reading my review of “It Ends With Us” and I wish you all the best!

2. Interesting… - I flew through this book, it had me hooked and I lobbed most of the characters… however I’m simply not a Hoover fan, I always hear about how good her books are, and although I like the Storys her writing style just isn’t my favorite. In the end I would still recommend this book to others, but it’s not in my top

3. I loved this. - When I say I don’t read books, I mean it. I’ve spent the last years of my life hating reading and hating books. This is the second book in two days of Colleen’s that I have finished. I’ve always felt so dumb and felt l wasn’t smart enough to read. That I was stupid because I couldn’t comprehend anything that I read. But this time it’s different. I feel relief. This book made me feel something I’ve never felt before and I started to cry in the middle of it. I was in the story and that has never happened to before. So I want to thank Colleen because this is a pivotal moment in my life. I finally can say I like reading and it’s because of her.

4. Had to buy a physical copy of this one! - Absolutely loved this book. I didn’t really know what I was getting into with this one. Figured it would be another run of the mill romance novel. This was my first Colleen Hoover book. I decided to start book buddy reading with my cousin for fun. We’re on our th Colleen Hoover book in a month! Colleen Hoover has something special. She can capture you and keep you under a spell that you never want to end. Shes realistic and deep. This is the one that made me fall in love with her writing. I laughed and cried. My heart was ripped out of my chest a time or two. It was a rollercoaster ride. I can’t believe there are negative reviews but to each their own and all that. For me, this was a wonderful read. One that will stay with me forever. One that I’ll probably read over and over. As soon as I finished it I ran not walked to buy a physical copy to live on my shelf forever and ever.

5. Lovely. - In the best ways possible this book took me through it. I felt all of the feelings and emotions reading this great book and to be honest I’ve only read books with about - pages so was a jump for me but not really cause I couldn’t get enough of it. I wanted to read more, I wanted a bigger glimpse of what was to come for atlas and Lilly. Great book, I bought it quite a while ago like back in September of and just finished reading it today feb, , . I read it on and off because some parts I just needed a break and didn’t want to see what happened next but I did it. I just bought it starts with us and couple days ago since I was nearing the end and I can’t wait to see what’s to come!! I’ve related to Lily in more ways then one, I’ve shared similar experiences between both lily and Atlas and shared these experiences with other also. Very relatable, brought up some old memories I got to think of. / would recommend!

6. First…AMAZING!! - I could not put the book down the moment I first started reading it. I learned so much from this book and there were so many times I could just relate to certain emotions and situations. Just everything about this story, was impeccable. I will highly recommend this book to everyone I know!

8. Meaningful Story - Reading this book from beginning to end definitely had meaning! Maybe some parts of the book were cheesy or some might say corny, but this is a book I would recommend to anyone who loves romance and real life events. I loved Lily’s character and all the other characters. There were some humorous parts, kinky parts, sad parts, and everything is pretty detailed. the story line was a bit basic, but good. Please read the epilogue of this book.

1. Too Sappy - I read the first book in this series and loved it so I bought the second one to see how the story ends. It was a little too sappy for me and nothing really exciting happens. Atlas seems just a little too perfect. I kept waiting for some intense, dramatic scene between Ryle and Atlas which starts to happen but then fizzles out.
2023-03-14
2. A good continuation - I liked being able to read about Lily and Atlas’ story, however I do feel like there’s zero plot and it’s definitely a lot slower than the first book, but honestly, I’m not sure if anything could top It Ends With Us. Easy read, and I still do recommend this book for anyone who read the first!
2023-02-17
3. What’s with the ending?? - I stuck with the book in anticipation of more roller coaster ups and downs from the first book. This book was so predictable and ended predictably. I also feel like there could’ve been so much information provided to tie loose ends. It leaves a lot of characters’ stories too open-ended.
2023-02-09
4. Teaches and entertains. - I could not put it down. This is an easy read, but only because of the way Ms Colleen Hoover captures your mind. She draws the readers in to feel all characters’ feelings and thoughts. You feel connected to them all and understand things you may not have before. Her ability to make you understand both of the main characters points of views is amazing. It’s hard to understand the evil character or why the main character would stay with a villain. I believe this is a real inside to victims of abuse. It helps readers understand the common hardships victims may deal with and that tug and pull that is hard to overcome when stuck in this situation. While creating sorrow for the victim is an easy thing an author can portray, she was also as to show us to feel for the villain as well, something I never thought to be possible regarding the situation the book surrounds. I was in aw over that piece alone. Read this book for the knowledge to understand and for the entertainment. This book skillfully crafted teaching the reader while also entertaining the reader. I was not able to put this down.

5. Real, relatable, inspiring. - SOOOO GOOD
As a victim of domestic abuse, Colleen Hoover really got it right. The uncertainty, the pain, the love, the fear. This book was an absolute emotional roller coaster that helps people to understand the trauma of not being able to leave the situation, and what happens after you do.
2023-01-28
6. So sweet! - I loved the sweet twist on this one! The happy ending is everything I didn’t know I needed. I was hesitant because it ends with us had an ending. But to pick up a new beginning and start over almost felt wrong, but It was SO good. There are some grammatical errors and some sentences I had to reread to understand because of word misplacement but that was easy for my brain to fix. Still a GREAT book!

7. Another couldn’t stop reading - Go read it ends with us and then this book so it all flows. This book gave the perfect ending. I cried. I had tears rolling down my face. I couldn’t stop reading it. I was always wondering what’s going to happen. I felt I was inside the book series. It needs to become a movie. Read the books. You won’t be disappointed.

1. Good read! - Overall: I highly recommend! I did feel like the beginning started off a little slow, but once it picked up it was hard to put down. I wish more time was spent on Miles and his personal story, as I feel like that was rushed. However, a story of healing that has a beautiful ending. Definitely a page turner!

2. Beautiful - This book was absolutely beautiful. I loved it so much. All the incredible emotion in the way Colleen writes. I cried again at the end of the book. It was so different from the last book by her that I read “it ends with us” while it also allows ALL the incredible emotions to come to the surface and spill over. I can’t recommend this book enough.

3. No. Just no. - Why are people pretending this was a good book? I am genuinely curious. This was the first Colleen Hoover book I read (and I read more and it didn't get any better). This is one of those books that make you lose faith that there are good books out there. The plot and characters are incredibly toxic and disappointing. I don't even know why I mentioned a plot because the entire book is just emotional trauma and smut and I'm begging the MC to grow a backbone.

4. beautiful story - Truthfully, the writing itself wasn’t all that astounding but even so I couldn’t put it down. Tate and Miles have become something so precious to me and their story, aside from the writing in itself, I found beautiful. Miles overcoming everything he went through, how it showed the ugly part of love, not just the lovely parts that people love — just everything. Im also just a big sucker for damaged men. But also the characters themselves, I thought were great. All in all, even if the writing wasn’t the best, still worth a read in my opinion!
2023-02-02
5. Loved - I loved this book. The only thing I don’t enjoy is how it perpetuates the thinking of believing a man is offering you more than he states he is willing to give you. I feel like many women fall to this kind of behavior, hoping that their situation will be just like that of Tate and Miles’. Regardless, everything makes sense once you finish the book. It was a great read. I would recommend to any Coleen Hoover fan!

6. I felt so jealous - I got so jealous over Tate. She got the happy ending I have always wanted. Still waiting. I cried right at the end. My heart tore to pieces because I want the happy ending Tate got. But it touched me how the love is ugly until it’s beauty comes out. My heart broke and shattered. I felt the pain.

7. Very good - I’m not saying it’s good just to ride the bandwagon. Thoroughly reading this book and looking back at some of the things that happened.. just wow. The flow of the story was good. Flipping from past to present and understanding the reason why one character was a certain way. Figuring out how to love again, it was beautiful. I wish I could read it for the first time again! Also the it had enough spice for me lol!

8. Romanticizes unhealthy relationships - This story was very disappointing and I feel sad for the young girls and boys who may read this and think the behaviors of Miles and the feelings from Tate are healthy. Tate constantly says things like I know this is a red flag but… I hate myself around him… I’m scared of him and his reactions. Young boys and girls who read these types of stories, please recognize this behavior is extremely unhealthy and could easily lead to an abusive relationship in real life. Do not think that if you love someone else enough you can “save them.” Someone who truly loves you will make you feel respected and more yourself. Of course, in real life we can meet people who changes our lives, people who love and support a partner while they address their trauma and work toward healthier behaviors. This could have been a story of learning healthy strategies of surviving trauma and redemption depicting the healing journey. Instead it completely romanticizes unhealthy relationships and abusive behaviors. I gave star because it was a quick read and the potential this story could have had.

1. What a special book about family and the power of love! - I was truly taken by surprise at how special this book turned out to be. I thought it would be a light historical romance novel with some folk tales imbued in it. However, it was much more than that--A story about finding your own identity, loyalty, the power of a mother's love (adoption), and even an underlying story of a child with autism and how a single mother does the best for him at a time with so little knowledge and tolerance for it. I was in tears by the time it came to an end. The pacing never wavered and I couldn't put it down. The only negative is that I wanted the story to continue and the epilogue was way too short. I wanted more; more Effie and Lachlan in Scotland, and more Morna and Jack.

4. Such a strong loving story - It’s time for another amazing romance book alert. Melissa has a new book out and you know how much I love her books. So of course I’m gonna share it with you! It’s called Then came love and it follows Jax and Jordan’s story. Jax and Jordan story is a love finds you at the most inopportune moments type of story. Jordan ,a sweet woman who lost her family, is engaged and meets with Jax a brilliant famous wedding dress designer to design her dress. This should be a normal wedding thing to do but when sparks fly Jordan is left wondering what is wrong with her. Can she be friends and work with Jax to get her dress made or should she steer clear and buy a generic off the rack dress? Jordan is not alone in these sparks; Jax felt them too and hasn’t gotten her off his mind since but she’s marrying someone else. Can he show her how love is meant to be? I definitely recommend this book. As usual I was hooked from the first chapter. They are so emotionally tied together it makes me smile. I had tears of joy and sadness in the last chapter. I was sad the book ended so fast and I loved the story but wanted more. I want proposal, and more on Sully. I honestly can’t believe I got a year to wait to read Sully’s story but Melissa definitely reeled me in and left me longing for more in a good way. Her books are definitely addictive so head over and get your copy of this book today. You will be happy you did

5. Jax Jordan - Every Melissa Foster story is unique and dives a little deeper into what is or isn’t perceived as socially acceptable. This story has a very different beginning, but still leads to a happily ever after. Jax falls for Jordan the first time they meet. Unfortunately she is a client and is asking him to design her wedding gown. Jordan is keeping her heart safe and is staying with someone who has always been there for her, until she learns more about him. The signs of hope are all around us. Jax helps Jordan reach for her dreams and surrounds her with hope and signs of hope daily. Thank you, Melissa Foster, for the touching story of hope and love.

6. Wow. Just wow. - I have been waiting for Jax’s story. And this book more than delivered! Jordan and he were meant to be together, but there was Todd. Todd who I despised before even “meeting” him because he tried to dim Jordan for his own gains. Jax wanted to help her light shine, and it made me love him even more! Such a great book!

7. Jax is swoon-worthy - How can anyone not love Jax Braden? He's in love with Jordan, but she is with someone else. And he would never interfere in someone's relationship. He is so swoon-worthy. Goodness. Doing all of the "groom" tasks for the wedding without telling her that her fiance is a douche. Just spending as much time with her as he can. Is it wrong of him? Probably. But she needs a friend and that is exactly what he is being. I'll be honest and say I was not impressed with Jordan. She was being taken advantage of and used by her fiance. I felt like she allowed him the freedom to do that and made excuses for him. It frustrated me from a woman's perspective. I pride myself on women being intuitive and sensing when something is not right. A few notes - I loved those old ladies where Jordan works. They are a freaking hoot. I loved the "we're old, not dead" mentality. Good for them for being who they are. And Jilly is going to get hers and soon I hope. Goodness, she needs a man.
2022-05-19
8. Full of emotions - Jax and Jordan really are the perfect match. Too bad she’s engaged to someone else…and he’s designing her wedding gown. I mean, can this happen anywhere other than between the pages of a romance novel?
I spent much of the book wondering if Jax was an eternal optimist or if he was delusional. Jordan was set on marrying old what’s his name. Even with the sparks flying between her and Jax, she still held onto her plan to marry a man we didn’t love or was even compatible with. While I loved their chemistry, banter and budding friendship, I wondered if Jax specifically would get his heart broken. I honestly wasn’t that worried about Jordan. Harsh, but true.
While there’s no physical “cheating”, there was still feelings that were allowed to run between these two. Not gonna lie, I was skeptical. But I shouldn’t have been, because the tough stuff wasn’t swept under the rug and ignored. The author handled it in a thoughtful and honest way. Which made me love the characters and the storyline even more. Shame on me for even entertaining a moment of doubt. And kudos to Melissa Foster for yet another complex and loving book.

1. I wish I could reread for the first time - Everything about this book is just so sweet and so well written. The way Beyah believed in Samson and you could tell from the beginning he was hurt but meant well. She believed in and he saw the absolute best in her. They needed each other and found their way to be together after everything. Such a great happy ending for two people who deserved it the most.

2. Great book! - Colleen Hoover never disappoints. This book was refreshing! I’ve read so many mediocre books lately I was beginning to think I’d lost my passion for reading. Nope! Just reading the wrong books. I’m so glad I’m reminded of good authors and good books! This one is a must read. I read it in a day and a half!

3. Fell in love with Beyah and Samson - Such an endearing heartfelt and harrowing coming of age story about a girl who had the odds of life stacked against her. Her mother was an addict, she was a lonely hungry angry and neglected little girl exposed to gross abuse neglect and the dark souls of addiction. When her mother dies, she contacts her father whom she’s estranged from. She moved into his house and falls in love with a local boy from the beach town. But as much as he’s good and caring to her, he is holding dark secrets of his own. When they unexpectedly catch up to him Beyah is left alone to suffer through heartache and has finally admitted that her mother is dead to her dad after living with him for the months she was in his home over the summer. The end of her story and the beginning of Samsons is so heartwarming and heavy I cried happy tears and was thrilled these two kids had finally found some good in life and it’s circumstances

1. Loving this series- engaging mystery! - Kristen Ashley proves how versatile her writing can be with this captivating romantic thriller. Rus, Special Agent Zachariah Lazarus, has been the lead investigator filling the serially killer they call the Crystal Killer. He lands in Mystic Pines when they think they have his next victim. While investigating, he crosses paths with Lucinda Bonner, employer of the victim and catches Rus’s attention and proves herself useful in helping with aspects of the investigation. I loved all the layers and depths you get with this installment in the Mystic Pines series. We get to see some of the more layers form the previous installment as well as meet some new ones. What sets this apart for me was that it’s told entirely in third person from Rus’s point of view. In addition, you get a lot of details as you follow along with his investigation and really get to know these characters in depth. The romance aspect was very slow burn, but still enjoyable, but the emphasis in this one is definitely on the mystery and investigation. I can’t wait for more of these and have a whole cast of characters I’m hoping we get books for- Jase, Jesse, Yeager, and Moran.

1. Best of - Ik we just started but this is definitely one that I could go back a reread any time or one that I could go back and read parts that always caught my eye. ) Enemies to Lovers will forever be one of my favorite tropes and this is the definition of enemies to lovers )Nathan raised my standard, he's the greenest of green flags and I loved Stas for using communication and teaching Nathan to use it. It really helped when there was conflict between the two.

2. Awesome!! - All I can say was this book was purely amazing!! It was such a wind down, yet exciting book to read all in one. I could read it before sleeping, or in the middle of a party, and I would never get bored. The only thing I have to complain about this book is how fast it went, now I’m a slow burn romance fan, so this wasn’t exactly up my ally. If you’re into fast romance and straight to the point novels, this is the one for you guys!! I felt like I got thrown into everything though, no matter how much I was enjoying it.

2. November - I love it so much! I felt like I went through the same pain when Fallon she said she didn't feel nothing for Ben when in which she lied! I need more of their story! I cried at the end and felt heartbroken after it ended. Definitely recommend reading it! If I had to choose between - I'd choose a million it was that good! I won't ever forget this book! It is now one of my favorite books!

3. Heartbreakingly Beautiful - I waited months for this gem to become available via @libby.app and it was absolutely worth the wait. I found the characters (Fallon and Ben) to be believable, and they were beautifully complex. We have Fallon the Transient and Ben the Writer who meet once each year on November th. Their love is both instant and gradual, and they left me wanting more. I don’t like insta-love tropes, but Hoover gave me a whole new perspective on them. I wish I could say so much more, but I feel like I’m going to give away the best parts. I will say though that I didn’t expect the twist, and I enjoyed the surprise appearance from one of Hoover’e other novels (I won’t spoil who). If you haven’t read this one yet, you should

1. Innocent Target - I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. I could not put this book down. The plot was fast moving and thoroughly entrancing. The scenes were vividly playing in my mind just like a movie. The characters were very believable. Hadley is a strong but gentle loving woman who had to grow up early due to a competitive mom. Hadley is now in contact with her wealthy father and brother. It is because of her wealthy father that a contract to kidnap her is put out on her. Axel is a man that is paid to kill for living. A copy of the contract is given to him as someone thinks it is a mistake and wants Axel to look into it. I adored Axel and his strong alpha tendencies to protect Hadley. The journey to their HEA is full of conflict and mystery. Who put out the contract? Were there more hit men out there? Would Hadley accept Axel into her life knowing what he did for a living? This book was written in multiple POV format. Getting into the mind set of the characters is really necessary to fully understand the characters. I really think that Ms. Reus did a wonderful job in crafting a really intriguing suspenseful romance. Some items in this story my cause certain triggers for some readers. There is no graphic descriptions of violence but the kidnapper's intention for Hadley was mentioned. If you love suspenseful romance, then this one is for you.

2. A must read!!! - It’s been a while since I’ve read a Katie Reus Book, and Innocent Target has drawn me right back in to her writing!!! We’ve got the mystery and suspense we’ve always loved from her, along with a sexy alpha hero, and sweet heroine. Axel and Hadley were perfect together. They definitely leveled each other out, and it was great to see him go from someone who was a bit scary, to a guy who would do anything for his love. I enjoyed the fact that even though her dad and brother are new in her life, they are completely protective of her, and would give their life for her. A phenomenal must read I would definitely recommend!!!

3. This rocks! - Awesome addition to the Redemption Harbor series. This is the story we’ve waited for..Hadley’s HEA. We met Hadley in Dangerous Witness. She is the half-sister Brooks never knew he had. She has moved close to her father and brother in order to get to know them and continue with her attempt to become a vet. Little did she know that this would make her a target for revenge. There are people who don’t like her brother or her father and she is just an innocent pawn, waiting to be used by them. Axel is not a nice guy. Well, he is but he doesn’t see himself as anyones hero. He definitely doesn’t think he can be that for Hadley but something about her just grabs him. He becomes her protector, then her friend and eventually her hero. Love the gang from Redemption Harbor. If you haven’t read the earlier stories, you can read this as a stand alone but why would you? Katie Reus has another winning series.

4. INNOCENT TARGET - Axel is a contract killer, yet overall a good guy, he falls for Hadley. Mistaken contract, now he wants to warn her, and get out, was easier said then done. She was naive, a new father and family with money. Someone wants her dead. Well done plot of a love they both felt they shouldn’t have, the heart knows best. Protection and love is what Hadley needed, and he was the best there was, a good series, and good plot. Readers will love Axel and Hadley. Can be read as a stand alone, but all in series is good. Given ARC by Net Galley and KK Press for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

5. A new favorite! - When I read the blurb on this book I knew this one was going to be my favorite of the series. I love the idea of a contract killer falling for a target. Already being a fan of Katie Reus and her Alpha's, I knew she would do this particular story line justice. If you have never read this author before, she doesn't go very dark in her series. While the hero is a contract killer, he is still very much a good guy. He's just lost faith in the system and has taken it into his own hands to bring down the bad guys. Hadley is a fairly new character to the series. We got introduced to her in the previous book when she approached Brooks letting him know she was his half sister. Her mom kept her from her father and Brookes growing up and is just now getting to know them. Hadley isn't from the world that Axel, her brother and all the other characters in this series are from. She's still young and somewhat naive but she gets a fast introduction into their dangerous world when she becomes the target. This is an awesome series and I'm looking forward to the next book. ARC provided by NetGalley.

1. Yeah - What a deliciously sexy book. The characters were great and so much fun to read about. It wasn’t just sexy but so much fun. I want more stories from this world. I love it when Carley and Erika collaborate. Until next time y’all happy reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

2. Just a Little Hookup : by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde - This is a fantastic book about Derek and Jessica , these two have had a thing for each other for years due to Derek being best friends and business partners with Jessica’s brother . After she bids on him at a charity auction, things get very interesting and they finally come together.A must read .

3. Sizzling - Absolutely fantastic read, loved the characters and all the steamy moments. I loved Jessica’s attitude and self confidence of who she is in every sense of her being. I enjoyed Derek supporting nature and how they were able to open up to each other. Great new series and can’t wait for more. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

4. Fun and frisky - Jessica and Derek star in this first of the Dare Crossover series and as a fan of everything Dare from Carly Phillips, I am uber excited! Plus, she and Erika Wilde writing together just upstage hotness factor by %.
Brother’s best friend is one of my very favorite tropes, so I’m always all in for those stories. But the added fun of a bachelor auction plus a curvy heroine with body positivity from both herself and the hero, and we’ve got fun and frankness in between the pages of this book.
Derek and Jessica had fiery chemistry but also a friendship and ease in the way they interacted. Well, besides Jessica’s still raging crush on brother Ben’s friend. So their slightly “taboo” secret hookup is emotional as well as sexy.
Couldn’t put this one down!

5. A wonderful start to a new series! - A wonderful start to a new series! I. So in love with this crossover and getting a story for Derek Bettencourt is just the tip of the cake. Swoon worthy, sweet, entertaining this new release was all that and more. Jessica’s character was a delightful and when Derek sees her in a new light, talk about steamy chemistry. I enjoyed the storyline and characters that are so likable and relatable add the steamy romance made for a swoon worthy storyha did not disappoint. I can’t wait for more!

6. Just a Little Hookup - ARC for honest review with no compensation Received from BookSprout Just a Little Hookup is book in the Dare Crossover series by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde. Now we see some of the secondary characters come to life! Up first is Derek Bettencourt and Jessica Cavanaugh, winner of Derek at the bachelor auction to raise funds for the charity. She outbids his ex fiancé and seeks her revenge for something he did in her past…but what starts as friends turns into so much more… Forbidden fling, hidden feelings, sexy times, banter, curvy girl, insecurities and maybe a chance for a HEA…only time will tell.
2023-03-22
7. Entertaining! - Another entertaining read by Ms Phillips and Ms Wilde. This was a great addition to the Dare family via Nikki’s brother, Derek. I liked that Jessica wasn’t your typical wimpy female. She had confidence in herself, even though it was a long time coming. I did like that Jessica’s brother and Derek’s business partner didn’t have the typical “stay away from sister” approach. If you have enjoyed the authors’ other books, you’ll enjoy this one.

8. Carly & Erika-Yes please! - This is a wonderful story that is a brisk and easy read because it pulls you in right away. The characters have reasonable history and have their own parallel lives until they cross gently but believably. Their history becomes their present and the story is sealed. Being a PCOS warrior, as well as a curvy girl, I like seeing girls like me get the guy instead of just being the best friend who settles for the town nerd. I love reading books that have relevant characters from previous book series or even just previous standalone. I feel more connected to the characters and more invested in the success of their lives and their loves. The sex scenes are sensual without being raunchy and they don't happen every other page or so-just enough to keep you coming back for more-kind of like real life! I was eager to read an ARC for this book for two reasons-Erika Wilde and Carly Phillips!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

1. Racist themes - man supports the Confederacy - Honestly, everyone shrugging off when an old white man supports the Confederacy and talks to the young boy about Robert Lee, is just wrong and unnecessary. Can’t he just not like the outsider because he is from a city and not because he was not from the North? Furthermore, the cop not realizing the systemic flawed racist system that creates those ‘bad kids’ in the ‘hood’ is similarly outdated and needs to be changed. I loved the writing and the story line but it really needs to be updated or changed. This book supports racist stereotypes and ideas within society.

2. Family Dynamics - A fun read I enjoyed getting to know the characters an all their quirks. Add love, mystery an family conflicts the story evolved with each page. Those with families trying to understand each other an the people with no relationship trying to help but heads an learn to respect each other.

1. An enjoyable sci-fi romance. - I enjoyed this sci-fi omegaverse romance. There was plenty of action and danger. The spicy scenes were spicy. The world building was competent and the hero was super growly, which was fun. I recommend this one as a good mental break. I received a free copy of this book, and am voluntarily leaving a review.

1. be prepared to SOB!! - ive been binge reading colleen’s book and this one by far has been my ultimate favorite. the chemistry between sky and holder broke my heart into pieces and some how put back together. not only did this book make me cry uncontrollably but i somehow relate to sky in so many ways. i would definitely recommend this book to anyone i know. please indulge into the beauty of this book, and its series!!!!

2. I’m speechless - I’ve read several of Colleen’s most popular books because the love stories grasp at my heart strings so hard and I can FEEL what it’s like again to get butterflies and have crushes and to be kissed for the first time, the ache in my heart and all the nerves. She does such a great job of conveying what the character is going through. Most of the time, it’s just drama and heartache and rooting for the couple to get back together. But Hopeless had so many plot twists that were more of adult story lines than would be for teen or pre teen books. So many connections that all made sense in the end but I didn’t see coming. I read it in two days. Amazing. I’m so glad this is a series so I can stick with the characters.

1. Such a blast!! - Oh my gosh, this had me cracking up from the very beginning. Callie & Dash are such a fun, laugh out loud couple that you can’t help but giggle throughout. Dash is charming and sexy, dare I say dashing, just completely irresistible. Callie is witty and stubborn and a perfect match to him. And their chemistry is perfection. This was a blast and definitely a must read!!

2. Another Rom-Com Hit! - As with all of Lila Monroe’s books, this one is packed with witty dialogue, chemistry-perfect couple, and a smidge of redemption. Dash and Callie are the most wonderful “fake couple” : she helps him with his grandmother and trust fund while he helps her with her make-up line to get it off the ground. Not only do we have confident and cocky male lead, but also strong independent women that are relatable. Pick up this must read!

3. Hilarious fun - Another fun, fake relationship book in the Billionaire Bachelors series. Phineas Henry Dashford IV, aka Dash, is about to be cut off from his trust fund because his grandmother Zelda thinks he needs to settle down. Of course, he lies to his grandmother and says he is in a serious relationship, so he needs a fake girlfriend who won’t catch “feeling.” Dash meets Callie Delgado causing a viral moment in the subway. Callie is a budding makeup mogul, who wants to start her own makeup line. She agrees to Dash’s scheme if he will back up her new venture. Overall a delightful story with great characters. I received an ARC of this book from the author for my unbiased opinion.

4. Dash and Callie - This is part of a series but I have not read the previous books. This book stood alone very well but I loved it so much that I am excited about the future books coming out. This is a fake romance trope book between two people who are very different. But the the differences really make this book a fun and interesting romance. In this story we meet Dash and he is prince charming so much so that the person that he loves the most next to his sister, his grandmother doesn't see that while he might leading a dashing, reckless and fun life he also is a serious business man. His grandmother tells him he is cut off if he doesn't find someone to get serious about. Thats where he comes up with a plan to fake date a woman he met on the subway, Callie. Callie is a sweetheart but she might have big dreams but she has no clue on how to make it happen. Dash is a sweetheart too and I loved how he was with Callie. This story had some really fun scenes that made me cheer and giggle and swoon. I loved Dash's sister she was a lot of fun and I loved her scenes with Callie. This was a really awesome, feel good romance that centered on Calie making her dreams come true and Dash was awesome as the guy to help make that happen for her. I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

1. That Connor - Oh, Connor. I totally dug this divorced doctor, single dad, older brother, that is Connor Daniels. He's got his S together, oh, not in the dating thing, he's got a and up rule, as he's forty. I love the age-appropriate bent though its mitigated by his crush on Violet Robinson, the ten year younger nurse he works with. Violet is awesome at her job but clumsy in real life and had a mad crush on Connor. Sweet, steamy, fun, real and engaging. Recommend.

1. Off the beaten path. - It was a hard book to read. Very bitter sweet ending, but that relationships for you, there not always so easy. You gotta work through the hard parts, push forward when your ready to give in, loose hope, but gain it. This book helped refocus and remind me things don’t have to be so perfect, and it’s the imperfections that matter the most. Thank you for such a great book.

2. The longest relationships take both people not giving up on each other at the same time - Yet another book where CoHo had me crying like a baby at the end. I love how she started this book with a unique twist of how the characters met. She continues to build on that story through a series of back and forth “then” flashbacks detailing the history of their love story, to a “now” present-day storyline of how their relationship is falling apart. I love these characters together, but sometimes life circumstances can get in the way. As I read through the “now” stories, I found myself getting more upset with Quinn and felt she was self-sabotaging her relationship. Yes, she was going through something painful and yes, she was trying to make a decision that would make her husband happy, but she was jeopardizing that love. I think we can all say at times that we can get in our heads and think we are doing what’s right, when essentially it may be hurting our relationships. Truly honest communication between people, even lovers, is the hardest thing people can do. We hold back bc we don’t want to hurt others. We hold back bc we are hurting ourselves and aren’t in a place to verbalize. By the end of chapter , I was so mad at Quinn and wanted to throw the book across the room…how can you open the box when you know you feel the opposite way!?! With the box open, you discover Graham’s side of things. His letters had me in tears. But, you realize he too was doing the same, withholding his words/feelings, so he wouldn’t hurt his wife further. However, what he wasn’t able to verbalize in person, he was able to in written words. Words and feelings that should have been shared sooner, by both people, that would potentially have saved them heartache. The story does have a happy ending. There were three great reminders from this story that I walked away with… -Communication, honest and loving communication, is key. -Relationships are hard and imperfect, long-standing relationships take both people not giving up on each other at the same time. -Sometimes the storyline or ending you create or envision in your head for your relationship isn’t the only way to be happy together. Loved this book!

3. The epilogue!! - I love everything Colleen Hoover. This book was a little slower for me, I was so desperate to find out what was happening “now”, that I found myself wanting to skip over the “then” sections. But the epilogue just made it all perfect! If you have read her earlier books you will love the tie in. I can’t believe I didn’t think of it earlier.

4. Another good one by CH - Unlike some of her other books, this was a quick and easy read. Hard to put down (like all of her books) but less intricate than some of her others. A good dose of reality when it comes to what it’s like to struggle with infertility as a couple which I was happy to learn about. Also, a good look at loving someone else for who they are and what it can bring you through. Definitely suggest this one!
2022-12-16
5. WORTH THE READ! - I love the storyline of this book. Going back and forth from “then” to “now” each chapter can sometimes become a bit confusing and hard to follow. The way the story lined up so perfectly and the correlations between the “then” and ”now” were so seamless made this book such a quick read. As someone who is struggling with infertility I think Colleen did a perfect job describing the emotions a man and woman endure in their marriage while battling infertility. She showcased the love and patience that each partner needs to have beautifully. Will recommend this book to all of my friends! Sad that I got though it so fast. Was a beautiful story.

6. This is my story too, and it’s so well told - I have never before so completely identified with a character in a novel. Though different in many ways, my husband and I too have struggled through nearly years of infertility and so many of the feelings Colleen addresses in this of so very real (the pain of answer the question - when are you having kids? - at length at social functions!). I spent so much of this book going ‘me too’ or ‘us too’. I am so glad this is out there and hope more ‘childless not by choice’ people find this story and feel a bit less alone.
2022-10-14
7. All of the Perfects! - I’m not much of a reader anymore, but I could not put this book down. Incredibly relatable for married people experiencing infertility issues! Just when I thought the book couldn’t get any better, right at the end, there was a small Easter egg in the story you wouldn’t notice had you not already read “Finding Cinderella”, which happens to be the story/book that turned me on to this author. /, phenomenal book!

8. Ugly cried for the last pages - I started reading this in the beginning of august, it’s now the first of september. It started out a little slow in the beginning but it was the right pacing for this kind of book. i read the last pages in one night because come on. it was too good. i love colleen hoover books so much because she has a way of captivating her audience by developing characters with so much depth and so much realness. One of my all time favorite colleen hoover books and i would one thousand percent recommend this to everyone. one more thing. because she is able to add so much depth to her characters you are able to empathize so deeply with them and the reality is, they are not just characters. i felt the same way with it ends with us too. there are so many women who face these struggles and i’m only so being exposed to this raw emotion i think is so vital to empathizing with humans. i know that replicating a character’s struggles like these can never be replicated in a movie or show in the same way a book can but not just any book though can do this. a colleen hoover book definitely can and it does every time.

1. Cringe worthy - I loved the one the main character , Ridge . But the girl he falls for , just made the story so cringe especially with the whole situation on how their met and connected .
I had a love and hate for this story . Sydney made me cringe the most .
Not Colleen Hoover best work . Can’t believe there is a another book ?! Not necessary

2. % yes! - Okay seriously, so in love with this book. I think there’s a sequel to it but honestly the book ends so perfect and the flow is so great, I don’t even want to read the second for fear of disappointment. I’m happy with the ending so no need to go any further. Nothing felt rushed at the end, and overall a very good and easy read!

3. I loved this book! - I was scrolling through the book store looking for new to read and happened to come across this I started to read the sample to see if I would like it I read all of it and couldn’t put them down and then decided to buy it. Read is all night and just finished it. Headed to get the nest book!

1. Loved it - A nice quick read! I really love the pacing of this book. I physically felt the tension between these two lol ! The groveling is AHMAZING and perfectly executed!! Grace is a total babe and absolutely has this man on his knees. Logan is chefs kiss at taking care wink wink of our lovely Grace. It’s also nice to see characters from The Deal, especially the break through Logan has when he talks to Hannah. Also, the ending is satisfying! Overall pretty tame spice wise - but i enjoyed it! If you love a man that takes care of his partner then read away.
2022-11-25
2. Love it - Honestly I love this book! I love the details and how we get to learn so much about both characters! I also love how it wasn’t just about their love story but how Logan’s future. It wasn’t as amazing as the first book “The Deal” but it was definitely a great book! I can’t wait to read the third!
2022-08-16
3. Well written - This story was well written and cute/lightheaded for the most part, but also tackled the heavy topic of addiction well. However, sometimes it felt like Grace’s character lacked depth and, personally, the plot was a bit predictable. Either way I enjoyed the story of Logan and Grace, it was cute, but it wasn’t comparable to the first story in the series.
2022-06-26
4. Logan is / book boyfriend material - I laughed out loud SO often with this book. Logan is hilarious and I instantly loved him. Elle Kennedy hit it out of the park (sorry, still brushing up on my hockey lingo ) once again. I read this in two days— pre-mom life I would’ve finished it in a day. Lol I would give . stars if I could though, because I felt like Grace’s character was too one-note for me. I just wanted more from her character. But I would absolutely recommend this book and the series as a whole!
2022-05-29
5. Cute not great - I might be a little biased because The Deal is one of my go to books & I’m finally getting around to finishing the series buuuuuuut The Mistake didn’t quite hit the mark. It was cute & made me laugh a few times but I just:/// I did just buy book so hopefully I’ll have a better report on that one
2022-04-08
6. Another Book Finished In Hours Or Less - Has similar elements to The Deal—male lead who experienced a difficult childhood (for different reasons) that he doesn’t want people to know about that continues to impact his life, who is seemingly as self aware as he is confident, and falls hard for a girl that flew under his radar at first— without feeling like a repeat of the same story with different names. The situation with Logan having feelings for Hannah in The Deal was resolved in this book in a way that felt very genuine. While the middle section (Summer Break) felt a bit drawn out and lackluster, it captured exactly how Logan felt about not only that Summer Break, but also what his life after graduation would be, so I understand why it was necessary. I liked that Grace’s personality didn’t change when she came back from Paris, she just became more confident learned how to stand her ground. I would definitely read the book again.
2021-12-11
7. Cute but not at good as the first one! - Garrett and Hannah seemed so cute that I had to keep reading. Although there were some really cute parts to this book, I feel like there was a long pause in it regarding the main characters and it made me impatient lol. I liked it but thought it got kind of predictable and I can tell Elle doesn’t like too much conflict in her books but I feel conflict is necessary to make the makeup scenes better. Good, but Garrett and Hannah’s story was perfect.
2021-10-05
8. Slow burner - I must say the reviews were right about this one it’s not my favorite but I did love the story in the end. The beginning was VERY slow & I felt like there was some things that were just thrown in there for fluff that served no real purpose. I would have loved more expansion on when he was trying to win her back rather than the Paris trip part. The sex scenes were very intense which was good & Graces was not boring despite what the reviews said. Onto Dean’s story, I must say I’m gonna go broke paying for all these books but I have not an ounce of regret. Good job Elle.

1. Penellaphe just isn’t growing. - The first book, from blood and ash was great. But by the second book the characters are just toxic and boring. The immature tempestuous nature of their relationship which has not evolved much, because the characters haven’t, is boring and tired. They actually say the same thing to each other over and over again. I wouldn’t recommend continuing this series. I will begrudgingly finish perhaps, but the woman who wrote this probably needs to go to therapy, it would help evolve her characters.

2. Loved it - A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire is the second book in the Blood and Ash series and immediately picks up were From Blood and Ash the first book in the series left off. I was just drawn into this wonderful story and I just couldn’t get enough of it. It was just so easy to get lost in the lives of these amazing characters and I just felt so much for them. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

3. - Love these books! This series along with Blood and Ash seriously are the best of the best. I am going to have to wait until every book is out before I can continue reading. My heart can’t take waiting to know what happens. Blood and Ash quickly became a favorite of mine but I seriously fell in LOVE with Sera and Nyktos characters. I have thoroughly enjoyed these books. Well done.

4. Quite boring. So much reputation followed by messy writing. - It’s a good story line but so much more could’ve been done with it. I did end up finishing it hoping for excitement, really had to force myself though. Sort of disappointed I didn’t look forward to reading it after I started. The first few hundred pages are the same exact lines of the first book. Some parts later I didn’t even know what the writer was talking about due to sloppiness. It’s overcooked and undercooked at the same time. The battle scenes are the shortest I’ve read. Honestly, would not recommend.
2022-05-11
5. - So many issues with this book, just like the last one. There is a good story in here, but I feel like it wasn’t a fully formed idea. Like so much of the book repeats itself that I get annoyed by it. To explain I read anywhere from to hrs a week. Tv just isn’t my thing. While I like the idea, it’s just captivating enough to me. I also get caught up with the grammatical errors. The editor didn’t do a great job checking for errors. I’m not completely against this book and I only kept reading due to the last chapter of the st book. When Casteel was like …oh hey btw we are getting married. Poppy’s reaction had me thinking …..like okay I don’t love it, but I have to see how the train wreck ends. It’s not the kind of book series that expects intelligence from it’s readers to follow plots, and events. Especially when it’s constantly repeating what happened and who people are when Poppy is in her thought process. It’s like the author was just trying to fill in empty space by reiterating events. I honestly think these books could’ve combined down to just two novels and be done. But instead it drags everything out. The author isn’t the best I have read, but I do love the characters she created for Casteel and Poppy. I just wish there wasn’t so much regurgitated dialog and murky story lines. It made it feel like the book was stalling till something interesting took place. So I didn’t find myself laughing or crying or really that emotionally invested in the book as others have been. I know these books sell for the sex alone, but honestly to someone like me that’s only % intriguing if the rest of the book doesn’t have enough to keep my attention.

6. just keeps getting better… - / — Forewarning that the first -ish pages go in circles a bit but that doesn’t overshadow the masterpiece that this book is. So many layers to this story & so many character developments that keep you DYING to peel them back. And the PLOT TWISTS! Oh my God! Such an incredible story/series that just keeps getting better. Again, think GOT. So much action & the cliffhanger at the is killing me. Starting the rd immediately.
2021-10-16
7. Best one yet of the FBAA series - I think this one may be better than From Blood and Ash. There was less world building need so the action started right off. I fell even more for Casteel and Poppy. Separately and together I love them. Poppy is fierce and doesn’t put up with anything and I loved watching her find her voice and place and heart. I also really love Kiernan. His wit and love and loyalty and general hotness makes him my new book crush for sure. Again all in all great book and definitely working its way up to my top like . Again totally suggest everyone read this but it is definitely not for kids.

8. this book is literally drugs - I started the series because of the obvious fascination booktok had with it based of the scenes, but the writing was just so detailed and I was roped in from the first chapter. The tension, the characters, the plot development and twists. This book series has made it on my top favorites. If you plan to read this series, make sure you have no other obligations because it will be ALL you think about.

1. Utterly captivating - I will be the first to admit I was a little unsure when I started this book, but given how highly it was spoke of I figured I should give it more than a chapter chance and I’ve never been so glad I did! I completely fell in love with these beautifully written complicated characters. Plus, the spicy scenes are the best addition, I don’t know if I could love this series more!

2. Loved it - From Blood and Ash is the first book in the Blood and Ash series and this was just a great way to start off a new series. Oh my gosh this was just such a great book to read. I was just drawn into this new world with it’s characters. I just was taken on a journey and I didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
2023-02-27
3. Captivating series! - I’m re-reading this series after re-reading the prequel series and it makes so much more sense now! I’ve never re-read anything but I loved both series and I felt like I was missing pieces of the puzzle or couldn’t remember certain important details. Glad I took that leap. Plus I’m also biding my time until the release of the next books in both series.
2023-02-26
4. It’s good but not great - this was a highly anticipated read for me and I think the author has some skill in world building, there are several unique aspects to the book but the writing still is somewhat basic and it can be painfully repetitive. I agree with other reviewers that this book could have been shaved down to about half the size. Sometimes the author just needs to make her point VERY clear but I think she needs to trust us as readers to understand context as opposed to spelling everything out for us several times. I’ll definitely finish the book, there are a lot of good things about it, but I think her editor isn’t doing her any favors.
2022-12-21
5. Love, Love, LOVE - I adore this book! I’m a sucker for romance/fantasy/action/adventure books, and this book HAS IT ALL! I know the beginning can seem a little slow to some, but trust me, it’s a great story build up! This series is probably my favorite of all time, and I will most likely continue to read and re-read these books over and over again. GREAT READ!!

6. Like.. kind of..repetitive.. boring. Get to the point JA! - I’m really, really trying to get into this book but it’s difficult. It’s very slow paced and nothing is really happening. I’m on chapter or . The author is extremely repetitive in her writing. Writes a lot with out saying anything. I’m sick of reading how golden hawke’s eyes are!!! We get it? Ok? And yes we know Poppy’s the maiden. Jeez! I’ve heard her other books in this series are repetitive. The editor should have shaved this a down to half. Maybe get a new editor. I’m convinced JA was getting paid by the word. I’m going to finish this but hope it gets better. Life is too short

8. First book in this genre - I have never read a book with smut or a fantasy style book. This was a very good first read for me. I thought the storyline was very good there’s a lot of character building which does some may seem boring because it doesn’t have this month but I really enjoy the tension that the author billed through the character building and storyline. About halfway through the book I read a review that said that the smut comes towards the end of the book and I would agree. It was definitely worth the wait.

1. Roommates - He’s the guy who finds his new roommate insanely attractive, he is also the guy who can’t stand to be around his mean new roommate. Even though she’s the most inconsiderate person he’s ever met in real life, he can’t stop smiling.
She’s confusing. She’s frustrating. She’s unpredictable. She’s nothing He’s ever wanted in a girl. And absolutely everything he needed. Overall:
This was a sexually driven story. I was surprised by the number of sex scenes. I underestimated Colleen I didn’t think she had it in her to write these type of sex scenes. They were fun to read. This didn’t read like a typical Colleen Hoover book. Which suits me fine. Nothing wrong with variety. This was a quick fun read with lots of sex and pranks.

2. Fun, but not missing much if you skip it - This was a quick and entertaining novella about Warren and Bridgette, who we met in Maybe Someday. They weren't my favorite characters, but it was fun to get back into the world of Ridge and Sydney so I decided to give it a shot. It's told from Warren's POV and there are plenty of laugh out loud moments. I wasn't emotionally invested in these characters, but I did enjoy finding out the backstory to their tumultuous relationship and I liked that some things referenced in Maybe Someday were answered here (ie: Warren's porn addiction!) Overall, it was a light and funny read, but you're not missing much if you decide to skip it.

3. Hot & Heated! - I love how Colleen takes her characters to the deepest, darkest places and brings them out new and improved, even in her short stories she makes you feel...every single thing! You quickly learn how each characters is and why they are the way they are, how they got there and how life's little changes can make all the difference in the world. Warren and Bridgette are no exception. They are cruel, play pranks, fight, laugh, live and eventually love and it is an amazing journey to experience! Thank you so much for this great read!

1. The Deal - I enjoyed this read. Story line was good as well as the characters. The lead female had had issues at a party when she was . What happened to her could be a trigger to some. So have a close friend skip threw the book for you before you read it. Hockey players….so sex? Yes. I’m starting another book from thi same series.

2. Glad I gave this one a shot - This book definitely fits my typical genre, but is very unique in its own ways. For me, the standout is how it felt very personal and casual as if the characters are based on real college students. I LOVED how the story took some darker turns and approached serious issues like rape and child abuse. Without that depth my review would probably be a star. Great read, super funny characters, can’t wait to read the next books in the series!

3. Has Promise - This author has potential however this book was poorly executed. I find her main characters have interesting qualities and “skeletons”. The way the relationship progresses through the story is a little confusing and doesn’t quite “track” with what would happen in real life. It seems like this author just wanted to through an art major and a jock together and “see what happens”. Ultimately I give this book stars. I would say but I actually enjoy the skeletons that she gave the characters.

4. Great Read!! - Loved it! Read the whole book in one sitting. Written AND edited well. Didn’t have annoying grammatical errors every other chapter like the majority of online books these days. The book was emotional and laugh out loud funny. There were perfect amounts of descriptions, conversations and don’t forget the steamy parts! The author did an amazing job with the characters personalities. The interaction between them was so real life instead of far fetched and fairy-tale like. I also loved how the book touched on a couple real life traumas that people experience and had the characters rise above their pasts! I definitely recommend reading The Deal!!!

5. Absolute Favorite Book - I was surprised while reading how much I loved this book- by the time I finished it had become my favorite books to date. I’ve read a lot in this genre and I believe it to be better than most. It’s well written, heart warming, trusting, pure, and erotic. I have not read any others by the author but do yourself a favor and read this!

6. ABSOLUTE MUST READ! - I read this book in a duration of two days! It was everything I could’ve wanted in a book. I felt everything Elle Kennedy wanted her audience to feel! Garret is the perfect balance between tough and warm-hearted. He starts as a DB jock who goes from girl to girl and just wants to play hockey to a sweet tender man who never had a genuine emotional connection to another person. Hannah went from being a broken scared girl to being determined of what she wants. Their dynamic was so amazing and the way they needed each other to fix each other without even realizing how broken both were. All I can say is WELL DONE!! This is a number one must read! Don’t think twice about it!

1. Loved it - The Crown of Gilded Bones is the third book in the Blood and Ash series and I just loved getting to reenter this amazing world. This book picks up immediately after the second book in the series. Oh my gosh this book was just epic. I was just blown away by everything that was taking place. You get to a moment where you think that this series can’t get any better and boy does this author prove you wrong. I’m just speechless after that ending. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

2. Less sex, more murder. - The story itself is fun, but there are unnecessary sex scenes and they’re not well written. I’m all for sex scenes when they make sense/add to the story, but at least a third of them are unnecessary, uninspired, and repetitive. Based on the rest of the book, it makes me wonder if the author was “encouraged” by an editor to include these scenes. I started skimming, then skipping, sex scenes entirely and that greatly improved the book for me. Slight spoiler ahead for an example. Example: Poppy is feeling seasick at one point so cas takes her belowdecks and somehow “distracts” her from being seasick with sex. When you’re seasick, the worst place to be is below deck, she’d likely start vomiting. This scene didn’t contribute to the story at all. It also felt poorly researched. One google search would have told her seasickness gets worse when you can’t see the horizon.

3. It had some good moments - I’m obviously three books deep in this series, so it’s kept me interested this long. But I will say that I found this book to be a lot of dialog and inner workings. There were definitely a lot of bored moments for me where I felt like the main character continued to rehash information that didn’t go anywhere. Other than that I have enjoyed the overall series

4. Get to the point - I had to give up. I tried. The first two books were good and gave a pleasant mixture of dialogue and action. But this book is just a constant repetition of her questions and repeated history of her bloodline and then hormones. I would read more about the whole thing with Kieran but honestly, I am tired of this wordiness that seems like it’s simply filling words on a page. I appreciate the enthusiasm of their love and respect but what’s the point? Get to it. I am going to try again as ppl said it gets interesting again later but a lot of scrolling past is going to happen.

5. Had potential but fell flat - I enjoyed the first two books of this series so my expectations for this book were high. Unfortunately, I was severely disappointed. While there were a lot of things I disliked, I think the worst thing had to be the awkward dialogue. Half the conversations had me either rolling my eyes or cringing internally—none of it felt authentic and it could get really repetitive (like WE GET IT Poppy asks a lot of questions, do we have to mention it EVERY time??? It just quickly went from humorous to irritating). I also felt like the smut scenes weren’t fitting into the story and felt very forced which made them hard to even enjoy. This whole book didn’t have a solid plot and it just felt like a jumbled mess of all these different events (and a lot these events should have been really big moments but often felt rushed and underwhelming, but that’s a WHOLE other issue) that got very tiring to read. Especially, when the history started to get complicated and wordy … I ended up dropping the book and left it for months before reluctantly deciding to pick it up again. Fortunately, the last - pages got really interesting and it left off on a note that made me at least curious to pick up the next book. Hopefully we get more than what this book was giving us :(

6. Dont question it just buy it - This series has a disgusting grip on my life, I tried to space them out so I would finish this one the day the th one came out. I have learning disabilities, I work hour weeks, I went on a family trip, and celebrated mardi gras. I still managed to I read page books from one weekend to the next. Read this book.

7. Favorite series - I’ve read hundreds of books and NONE of them come even close to these books. The world building and plot are chefs kiss I couldn’t put it down. Twists and turns the whole series and it leaves you CRAVING MORE! I cannot wait for the next book! Perfectly written characters with gasps DEVELOPMENT! Loosing my mind I couldn’t recommend this series more to everyone.

8. Great Story in the Blood and Ash series - I love this series. I read over pages in days and am anxiously awaiting the next book. Casteel and Poppy are complicated and spectacular characters. All of the characters are well formed and interesting. The descriptions of their kingdoms, while nothing in our world really compares, are so clearly visible and clever. Romance, intimacy, laughter, adventure and action on every page. Well done

1. Lost Hope - Really should have read the reviews before purchasing this book. I feel like I skimmed through % of this book because if you’ve read “Hopeless” you read this book… minus a few inner thoughts from Holder and the very LAST two chapters the books are the SAME! This whole book could’ve been made into a bonus chapter at the end “Hopeless”

2. Losing Hope - I was somewhat disappointed in this book after loving the others that I’ve read. Many parts of Losing Hope were a repeat of Hopeless. I feel that Hopeless could’ve just been continued to include the final two chapters of Losing Hope. I’m not sure if I’ll read the next two in this series.

3. Favorite Book This Year!! - This book is amazing. The story of sky and holder is a masterpiece. The amount of love and sadness in this one book give me chills. I have never had a book make me cry like this book did. Even reading hopeless first didn’t make me feel like I did with this book. Holders side of the story is very powerful and it really shows you who he is. / I wish I could experience this book again for the first time.

4. I loved reliving this story thru the eyes of Holder. - I love being inside Dean's head reading his journal entries. This story is about Dean and how he deals with losing both Hope and Les.
Colleen handles these sensitive subject matters with great precision. High school is tough and I've never personally known someone to die during that time so this is a new experience for me. Colleen has covered all the bases.
Colleen adds a nice balance to this story considering the topic of death and kidnapping. There's humor mixed in with grief. There's anger mixed in with happiness. There's fighting mixed in with loving. There's intimacy mixed in with cheating.
I read Hopeless maybe years ago and have wanted to read Losing Hope for those years. I am amazed how easily all the information came back so simply. It was as if I read it yesterday. That story imprinted itself on my mind forever. I'm not one to remember details of a story but this one is still fresh in my mind. It has a draw to me. It touched my heart.
Holder is playing the part of a patient guy and its intoxicating. The flirting is seductive. I'm imprinting each moment in my mind. I love how Holder wants every moment to have meaning. Each shared encounter ship has to be relevant. I'm driven crazy by the sweet torture of Holder and his appreciation for Sky when he's adoring her.
I'm so wrapped up this story for a second time and I can't pull myself away. There is no part of the story that is easy to step away from. From one chapter to the next I find myself eagerly turning the pages. I love Holders character. I find Colleen has a way of capturing the innocence of a young male character. It's so sweet and pure. It makes me ache to have that tenderness.
Colleen you have a brilliant mind. I can see why people love you so much. You have this ability to look at all possible scenarios. You are like the devils advocate. Someone who can understand every possible path and give clarity to that perspective. That's what draws the reader. It's emotional and dynamic.

5. Beyond great - I read "Hopeless" and "Losing Hope" in days because I couldn't put these books down. You will go through an emotional roller coaster reading them but that's what keeps you reading. I don't remember ever reading a book where I LOL so much and then cried just as much but I loved every minute of it! The love that Holder and Sky share is beyond moving and heartwarming and everyone wishes they loved someone like they love each other. The only problem I had with these books is that they ended! I wish there was a rd book so we could see their life years later but unfortunately I know all good things must come to an end. Thank you for writing such incredible books and taking me on my emotional roller coaster and thank you for sharing Sky and Holders story of hope, fear, loss, trust, friendship, but most importantly, LOVE! Everyone should read these books!

6. Beautiful. - I fell in love with hopeless & once I found Losing Hope, I was ecstatic! Hoover is an incredible writer, she def has become my top-fave--must-drop-everything-when-she-releases-a-new-book-author. It's been a while since I've read hopeless, and after reading this, it took me on a whole nother ride, leaving me speechless. I think it was beautifully written, the ending brought a tear to my eye. And honestly, Hoover has been one of the only authors that ever made me cry. Read her other books as well! They will not disappoint!! Thank you Colleen!

7. Review: Hopeless : Losing Hope - Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover is the second book in the Hopeless series. Where Hopeless was tragically beautiful, Losing Hope was beautifully tragic. Both books have a HEA (Happily Ever After) as they are essentially both the same story from different POV's (Points Of View). In Losing Hope we get Holder's perspective. Who he was prior to and right after his sisters suicide, and what was happening with him when he first met Sky. To see what was going on inside the head of that beautiful specimen of man was a real treat. Lacey's journal - the back pages... Well that was a real twist. When Holder finally manages to deal with that, to read the contents, the redemption he's granted is priceless. If you loved Hopeless then you really owe it to yourself to get Holder's side of the tale. A pleasanter ear only slightly lee angst-filled as I already knew most of the details from the previous story and was prepared. I love pop culture references in books...It may not be deliberate, but for me this is a Barney from How I Met Your Mother reference. “Your logic terrifies me,” she says. “I sort of don’t find you attractive anymore.” Challenge accepted. I slowly slide on top of her, careful to hold my weight up with my hands. If my body were to touch any part of hers right now, we’d already be moving on to seconds and thirds. “You sort of don’t find me attractive?” I say, staring straight down into her eyes. “That can also mean you sort of do find me attractive.”
-Holder & Sky

8. Surprisingly unique - When I read Hopeless, I couldn't put it down. When I saw this book, I was skeptical, expecting it to repeat a lot of chapters from Hopeless. The handful of scenes that were replayed gave me an entertaining perspective from Holder's pov. I went back to Hopeless and reread those scenes. This book is a wonderful read & I will look forward to the next books by Coleen Hoover.

1. Emotional second chance story - This one had me reaching for the tissues! Cole and Eden’s long journey back to each other was filled with emotions, from sadness to anger, hope to despair. The pain of the past is mostly just discussed, with a few flash back conversations. It’d be easy to find fault with the way they handled things, but grief and guilt are hard as adults…for teens, it’s worse. But seven years removed from events in their senior year, Eden is still haunted by the past and has pulled away from everything and everyone she loves. Cole has learned to move past that time, mostly for his son and career, but also never truly moved on. Their story is a slow burn, but I appreciated the time and care that Stacey Lynn took to build their now so they’d have a future…and forgive the past. I loved both of them, and Cole’s son Jasper was sweet and funny. Marley was full of wisdom and love, just what Eden needed the most.
Already I’m loving this series and can’t wait to read the next book!

2. Swoon! - Get ready to Swoon harder than you’ve ever swooned before. This is a book that makes you feel from the moment you start reading until the very end, a book you can’t wait to get into and a book that once you’re in, you’re trapped, you’ll never want to get out. Full of forgiveness, grief, life, death, angst, heat, heart, emotions, passion and swoon. I LOVED reading this small town, second chance romance story! It’s been seven, hard years since Eden has been in Marysville Tennessee, seven years, since she had sworn never to return. But when Marley Bickerstaff, an elderly neighbor/ grandma asks her to return home so she can see her one last time, she honors her request and returns to take care of her until she passes. But Marley has another reason to want Eden to return and that is for Cole. Cole Buchanan is the small town hero who is now a NFL Quarterback for the Nashville Steel Football team. He has a five year old son named Jasper that helped him turn his life around after a tragedy that left him and Eden broken. But Jasper’s mother Selma has her own agenda as well and Eden isn’t in it. But Cole is the boy that Eden loved and the boy who was never hers to love, never hers to have, but they hadn’t cared until that fateful night. Is that magnetic force there still between them? Will love and forgiveness guide them back to each other? You will definitely want to read this to get all the yummy details. Filled with page after page of heart pumping drama and an emotional journey that left this reader mesmerized by the the pure beauty of this masterpiece. Stacey Lynn has just given me the best feeling in the world. You know the one… that little zip of excitement when you find a new author, and they’ve got the magical “thing” that makes you want to devour their back list… It’s epic right? Believe me you will not want to put this woman’s stuff down. Blending smart, sexy romance with heart racing, fist pumping, emotionally heartwarming and heartbreaking, wide grin on your face great read. I can’t wait to read more in this series!! I voluntarily requested an early copy and this is my honest review.
