1. Good read! - Overall: I highly recommend! I did feel like the beginning started off a little slow, but once it picked up it was hard to put down. I wish more time was spent on Miles and his personal story, as I feel like that was rushed. However, a story of healing that has a beautiful ending. Definitely a page turner!

2. Beautiful - This book was absolutely beautiful. I loved it so much. All the incredible emotion in the way Colleen writes. I cried again at the end of the book. It was so different from the last book by her that I read “it ends with us” while it also allows ALL the incredible emotions to come to the surface and spill over. I can’t recommend this book enough.

3. No. Just no. - Why are people pretending this was a good book? I am genuinely curious. This was the first Colleen Hoover book I read (and I read more and it didn't get any better). This is one of those books that make you lose faith that there are good books out there. The plot and characters are incredibly toxic and disappointing. I don't even know why I mentioned a plot because the entire book is just emotional trauma and smut and I'm begging the MC to grow a backbone.

4. beautiful story - Truthfully, the writing itself wasn’t all that astounding but even so I couldn’t put it down. Tate and Miles have become something so precious to me and their story, aside from the writing in itself, I found beautiful. Miles overcoming everything he went through, how it showed the ugly part of love, not just the lovely parts that people love — just everything. Im also just a big sucker for damaged men. But also the characters themselves, I thought were great. All in all, even if the writing wasn’t the best, still worth a read in my opinion!

5. Loved - I loved this book. The only thing I don’t enjoy is how it perpetuates the thinking of believing a man is offering you more than he states he is willing to give you. I feel like many women fall to this kind of behavior, hoping that their situation will be just like that of Tate and Miles’. Regardless, everything makes sense once you finish the book. It was a great read. I would recommend to any Coleen Hoover fan!

6. I felt so jealous - I got so jealous over Tate. She got the happy ending I have always wanted. Still waiting. I cried right at the end. My heart tore to pieces because I want the happy ending Tate got. But it touched me how the love is ugly until it’s beauty comes out. My heart broke and shattered. I felt the pain.

7. Very good - I’m not saying it’s good just to ride the bandwagon. Thoroughly reading this book and looking back at some of the things that happened.. just wow. The flow of the story was good. Flipping from past to present and understanding the reason why one character was a certain way. Figuring out how to love again, it was beautiful. I wish I could read it for the first time again! Also the it had enough spice for me lol!

8. Romanticizes unhealthy relationships - This story was very disappointing and I feel sad for the young girls and boys who may read this and think the behaviors of Miles and the feelings from Tate are healthy. Tate constantly says things like I know this is a red flag but… I hate myself around him… I’m scared of him and his reactions. Young boys and girls who read these types of stories, please recognize this behavior is extremely unhealthy and could easily lead to an abusive relationship in real life. Do not think that if you love someone else enough you can “save them.” Someone who truly loves you will make you feel respected and more yourself. Of course, in real life we can meet people who changes our lives, people who love and support a partner while they address their trauma and work toward healthier behaviors. This could have been a story of learning healthy strategies of surviving trauma and redemption depicting the healing journey. Instead it completely romanticizes unhealthy relationships and abusive behaviors. I gave star because it was a quick read and the potential this story could have had.

9. i didnt like it - not sure why this has such overwhelmingly good reviews. for one thing, everything about the book is boring...boring characters, boring setting, boring plot. i didn't really find myself enjoying any part of it. for another thing, this book has incredibly toxic undertones and the fact that it has a happy ending is so disappointing. miles walks all over tate for the entire book, using his unresolved issues as an excuse. hes totally smeowelfish for the entire story and then gets rewarded for it by the end. i would be fine if it didnt end in happily ever after, but the fact that it ends with them getting together is just romanticizing abuse. colleen hoover seems to have a recurring theme in her books of toxic, abusive men. i wish she would stop romanticizing these kinds of relationships one thing i will give her though, is that it is very well written. it had some good elements that ended up coming together cohesively in the end. still, though, not worth reading

4. Such a strong loving story - It’s time for another amazing romance book alert. Melissa has a new book out and you know how much I love her books. So of course I’m gonna share it with you! It’s called Then came love and it follows Jax and Jordan’s story. Jax and Jordan story is a love finds you at the most inopportune moments type of story. Jordan ,a sweet woman who lost her family, is engaged and meets with Jax a brilliant famous wedding dress designer to design her dress. This should be a normal wedding thing to do but when sparks fly Jordan is left wondering what is wrong with her. Can she be friends and work with Jax to get her dress made or should she steer clear and buy a generic off the rack dress? Jordan is not alone in these sparks; Jax felt them too and hasn’t gotten her off his mind since but she’s marrying someone else. Can he show her how love is meant to be? I definitely recommend this book. As usual I was hooked from the first chapter. They are so emotionally tied together it makes me smile. I had tears of joy and sadness in the last chapter. I was sad the book ended so fast and I loved the story but wanted more. I want proposal, and more on Sully. I honestly can’t believe I got a year to wait to read Sully’s story but Melissa definitely reeled me in and left me longing for more in a good way. Her books are definitely addictive so head over and get your copy of this book today. You will be happy you did

5. Jax Jordan - Every Melissa Foster story is unique and dives a little deeper into what is or isn’t perceived as socially acceptable. This story has a very different beginning, but still leads to a happily ever after. Jax falls for Jordan the first time they meet. Unfortunately she is a client and is asking him to design her wedding gown. Jordan is keeping her heart safe and is staying with someone who has always been there for her, until she learns more about him. The signs of hope are all around us. Jax helps Jordan reach for her dreams and surrounds her with hope and signs of hope daily. Thank you, Melissa Foster, for the touching story of hope and love.

6. Wow. Just wow. - I have been waiting for Jax’s story. And this book more than delivered! Jordan and he were meant to be together, but there was Todd. Todd who I despised before even “meeting” him because he tried to dim Jordan for his own gains. Jax wanted to help her light shine, and it made me love him even more! Such a great book!

7. Jax is swoon-worthy - How can anyone not love Jax Braden? He's in love with Jordan, but she is with someone else. And he would never interfere in someone's relationship. He is so swoon-worthy. Goodness. Doing all of the "groom" tasks for the wedding without telling her that her fiance is a douche. Just spending as much time with her as he can. Is it wrong of him? Probably. But she needs a friend and that is exactly what he is being. I'll be honest and say I was not impressed with Jordan. She was being taken advantage of and used by her fiance. I felt like she allowed him the freedom to do that and made excuses for him. It frustrated me from a woman's perspective. I pride myself on women being intuitive and sensing when something is not right. A few notes - I loved those old ladies where Jordan works. They are a freaking hoot. I loved the "we're old, not dead" mentality. Good for them for being who they are. And Jilly is going to get hers and soon I hope. Goodness, she needs a man.

8. Full of emotions - Jax and Jordan really are the perfect match. Too bad she’s engaged to someone else…and he’s designing her wedding gown. I mean, can this happen anywhere other than between the pages of a romance novel?
I spent much of the book wondering if Jax was an eternal optimist or if he was delusional. Jordan was set on marrying old what’s his name. Even with the sparks flying between her and Jax, she still held onto her plan to marry a man we didn’t love or was even compatible with. While I loved their chemistry, banter and budding friendship, I wondered if Jax specifically would get his heart broken. I honestly wasn’t that worried about Jordan. Harsh, but true.
While there’s no physical “cheating”, there was still feelings that were allowed to run between these two. Not gonna lie, I was skeptical. But I shouldn’t have been, because the tough stuff wasn’t swept under the rug and ignored. The author handled it in a thoughtful and honest way. Which made me love the characters and the storyline even more. Shame on me for even entertaining a moment of doubt. And kudos to Melissa Foster for yet another complex and loving book.

9. Finding the perfect love - Jordan and Jax meet for him to design her gown. Through the process of him designing the gown, they form a bond and spend time talking. While they know they shouldn’t be spending time together, Jax still turns on the charm! I loved that she finds she doesn’t need to settle. And that they find their way to each other! Definitely a must read!
2022-05-18
10. Loyalty and Support Above All Else - I love the strong, confident, and caring nature of Jax. He is confident in himself, knows what he wants, and isn’t afraid of a little hard work to get to his goals. Jordan reminds me of myself. Wanting to make everyone happy and forgetting that sometimes, you need to put yourself first. I love her tenacity and determination. I love that she never gave up on what she knew in her core to be true and that she was able to prove to the world that she was deserving of all the happiness. The relationship between Jax and Jordan was perfectly written. I love that they support each other and that they both know they can rely on each other. I thought this book was beautifully written. Every character brought meaning to the book and every relationship was truly there for a purpose. Fingers crossed for a spin-off for Jordan’s sister

11. Then Came Love - ARC for honest review with no compensation Received from Greys PR Then Came Love is book in the Braden & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill-Oak Falls series by Melissa Foster. 12. Amazing! Loved Jax and Jordan! - Melissa Foster totally left me wanting more of these characters. This might be one of her best books yet. Jax and Jordan are amazing. Their coming together is respectful and thrilling. Melissa Foster writes with heart, hilarity, and passion. Her characters make me feel as if they are real people as I am transported into their world. Jordan has had to deal with so many challenges in her life. The additional trauma that Jordan experienced with her family had me on edge and in tears. What a wonderfully written star read. Looking forward to more.

13. Empowering Love - Jax Braden, a famous wedding designer, met the woman of his dreams several months ago when she came in for a consultation for her wedding gown. He couldn’t get her out of his mind. Months later, Jordan Lawler hired Jax to finally design her gown after several postponements in the past. Jax decided he could not walk away this time. Their several business meetings turned into many confessions, questioning emotions, and igniting passions that couldn’t be denied. Jordon’s past plays a major role in their journey. This is an empowering story of sadness, passion, and accepting the past and their future. Fantastic book and a great addition to the series!

14. Jax and Jordan - Devastating loss, misplaced gratitude and the courage to walk away. Then Came Love has all that and so much more. Sometimes we stay with the wrong person out of loyalty, misplaced gratitude and our own inability to see we’re settling when we deserve so much more. Jordan Lawler has lost so much in her life, that she’s holding on to her fiancé Todd Karns. Fighting for his time, his attention, his anything has become a way of life for her. She’s scarcely more than an afterthought to him. It’s little wonder she’s found reasons to cancel their wedding four times. That little voice inside her trying to prevent a colossal fiasco. Rationalizing his inability to put her first in any way, repressing her feelings over the loss of her family, and playing second fiddle to everything in his life. Jax Braden was more than happy with his life when he met his one and only, true soulmate during a wedding dress consultation. Fate can be cruel- finding himself hung up on a woman he can’t have and can’t forget. It’s not his intention to try and steal another man’s woman, but he’s a firm believer life is too short not to be honest. He also sees how undervalued she is to her fiancé and can barely fathom that. Jordan quickly sees so many amazing qualities in Jax, qualities Todd is sorely missing and for the first time in maybe ever, feels validated and valued. She can truly be herself with him and he not only accepts her for who she is, but whole heartedly encourages it. That’s a gift. You have to love the way fate stepped in at just the right time to prevent one mistake (marrying the wrong person) from ruining two lives. There’s so much to like about this book. Life is complex and heartache, loss, passion, love and hope all are experienced. When you have the right person by your side you can do more than survive. You can thrive and grow and spread your wings. Friends, family, partners, lovers. It’s what a truly great life is all about and this book has it in spades.

1. be prepared to SOB!! - ive been binge reading colleen’s book and this one by far has been my ultimate favorite. the chemistry between sky and holder broke my heart into pieces and some how put back together. not only did this book make me cry uncontrollably but i somehow relate to sky in so many ways. i would definitely recommend this book to anyone i know. please indulge into the beauty of this book, and its series!!!!

2. I’m speechless - I’ve read several of Colleen’s most popular books because the love stories grasp at my heart strings so hard and I can FEEL what it’s like again to get butterflies and have crushes and to be kissed for the first time, the ache in my heart and all the nerves. She does such a great job of conveying what the character is going through. Most of the time, it’s just drama and heartache and rooting for the couple to get back together. But Hopeless had so many plot twists that were more of adult story lines than would be for teen or pre teen books. So many connections that all made sense in the end but I didn’t see coming. I read it in two days. Amazing. I’m so glad this is a series so I can stick with the characters.

1. Amazing! - I can’t say enough good things about Colleen’s books. They’re so well written, and are able to keep you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t put this book down. Worth the heartache I felt. Colleen brings out ALL kinds of emotions out of me while reading her books. % recommend this one.

2. November - I love it so much! I felt like I went through the same pain when Fallon she said she didn't feel nothing for Ben when in which she lied! I need more of their story! I cried at the end and felt heartbroken after it ended. Definitely recommend reading it! If I had to choose between - I'd choose a million it was that good! I won't ever forget this book! It is now one of my favorite books!

3. Heartbreakingly Beautiful - I waited months for this gem to become available via @libby.app and it was absolutely worth the wait. I found the characters (Fallon and Ben) to be believable, and they were beautifully complex. We have Fallon the Transient and Ben the Writer who meet once each year on November th. Their love is both instant and gradual, and they left me wanting more. I don’t like insta-love tropes, but Hoover gave me a whole new perspective on them. I wish I could say so much more, but I feel like I’m going to give away the best parts. I will say though that I didn’t expect the twist, and I enjoyed the surprise appearance from one of Hoover’e other novels (I won’t spoil who). If you haven’t read this one yet, you should

I had a love and hate for this story . Sydney made me cringe the most .
Not Colleen Hoover best work . Can’t believe there is a another book ?! Not necessary

2. % yes! - Okay seriously, so in love with this book. I think there’s a sequel to it but honestly the book ends so perfect and the flow is so great, I don’t even want to read the second for fear of disappointment. I’m happy with the ending so no need to go any further. Nothing felt rushed at the end, and overall a very good and easy read!

1. Roommates - He’s the guy who finds his new roommate insanely attractive, he is also the guy who can’t stand to be around his mean new roommate. Even though she’s the most inconsiderate person he’s ever met in real life, he can’t stop smiling.
She’s confusing. She’s frustrating. She’s unpredictable. She’s nothing He’s ever wanted in a girl. And absolutely everything he needed. Overall:
This was a sexually driven story. I was surprised by the number of sex scenes. I underestimated Colleen I didn’t think she had it in her to write these type of sex scenes. They were fun to read. This didn’t read like a typical Colleen Hoover book. Which suits me fine. Nothing wrong with variety. This was a quick fun read with lots of sex and pranks.

2. Fun, but not missing much if you skip it - This was a quick and entertaining novella about Warren and Bridgette, who we met in Maybe Someday. They weren't my favorite characters, but it was fun to get back into the world of Ridge and Sydney so I decided to give it a shot. It's told from Warren's POV and there are plenty of laugh out loud moments. I wasn't emotionally invested in these characters, but I did enjoy finding out the backstory to their tumultuous relationship and I liked that some things referenced in Maybe Someday were answered here (ie: Warren's porn addiction!) Overall, it was a light and funny read, but you're not missing much if you decide to skip it.

3. Hot & Heated! - I love how Colleen takes her characters to the deepest, darkest places and brings them out new and improved, even in her short stories she makes you feel...every single thing! You quickly learn how each characters is and why they are the way they are, how they got there and how life's little changes can make all the difference in the world. Warren and Bridgette are no exception. They are cruel, play pranks, fight, laugh, live and eventually love and it is an amazing journey to experience! Thank you so much for this great read!

4. Colleen has done it again, omg this book is just awesome!!! Live Warren so much!!!!!! - Maybe not was so good love Warren so much, laughed so much at this book!!!! But OMG even already knowing the story Colleen can still twist and squeeze your heart and make you feel so much!!!!! That's what you can an Awesome Writer. Omg love, love, loved this book so much but OMG IT WAS TOO SHORT I NEED MORE WARREN!!!!!!!! Please Colleen??!!?? What an awesome surprise gift for your readers thank you so much for writing this novella!!!!!

1. The Deal - I enjoyed this read. Story line was good as well as the characters. The lead female had had issues at a party when she was . What happened to her could be a trigger to some. So have a close friend skip threw the book for you before you read it. Hockey players….so sex? Yes. I’m starting another book from thi same series.

2. Glad I gave this one a shot - This book definitely fits my typical genre, but is very unique in its own ways. For me, the standout is how it felt very personal and casual as if the characters are based on real college students. I LOVED how the story took some darker turns and approached serious issues like rape and child abuse. Without that depth my review would probably be a star. Great read, super funny characters, can’t wait to read the next books in the series!

3. Has Promise - This author has potential however this book was poorly executed. I find her main characters have interesting qualities and “skeletons”. The way the relationship progresses through the story is a little confusing and doesn’t quite “track” with what would happen in real life. It seems like this author just wanted to through an art major and a jock together and “see what happens”. Ultimately I give this book stars. I would say but I actually enjoy the skeletons that she gave the characters.

4. Great Read!! - Loved it! Read the whole book in one sitting. Written AND edited well. Didn’t have annoying grammatical errors every other chapter like the majority of online books these days. The book was emotional and laugh out loud funny. There were perfect amounts of descriptions, conversations and don’t forget the steamy parts! The author did an amazing job with the characters personalities. The interaction between them was so real life instead of far fetched and fairy-tale like. I also loved how the book touched on a couple real life traumas that people experience and had the characters rise above their pasts! I definitely recommend reading The Deal!!!

5. Absolute Favorite Book - I was surprised while reading how much I loved this book- by the time I finished it had become my favorite books to date. I’ve read a lot in this genre and I believe it to be better than most. It’s well written, heart warming, trusting, pure, and erotic. I have not read any others by the author but do yourself a favor and read this!

6. ABSOLUTE MUST READ! - I read this book in a duration of two days! It was everything I could’ve wanted in a book. I felt everything Elle Kennedy wanted her audience to feel! Garret is the perfect balance between tough and warm-hearted. He starts as a DB jock who goes from girl to girl and just wants to play hockey to a sweet tender man who never had a genuine emotional connection to another person. Hannah went from being a broken scared girl to being determined of what she wants. Their dynamic was so amazing and the way they needed each other to fix each other without even realizing how broken both were. All I can say is WELL DONE!! This is a number one must read! Don’t think twice about it!

1. Lost Hope - Really should have read the reviews before purchasing this book. I feel like I skimmed through % of this book because if you’ve read “Hopeless” you read this book… minus a few inner thoughts from Holder and the very LAST two chapters the books are the SAME! This whole book could’ve been made into a bonus chapter at the end “Hopeless”
2023-01-26
2. Losing Hope - I was somewhat disappointed in this book after loving the others that I’ve read. Many parts of Losing Hope were a repeat of Hopeless. I feel that Hopeless could’ve just been continued to include the final two chapters of Losing Hope. I’m not sure if I’ll read the next two in this series.

3. Favorite Book This Year!! - This book is amazing. The story of sky and holder is a masterpiece. The amount of love and sadness in this one book give me chills. I have never had a book make me cry like this book did. Even reading hopeless first didn’t make me feel like I did with this book. Holders side of the story is very powerful and it really shows you who he is. / I wish I could experience this book again for the first time.

4. I loved reliving this story thru the eyes of Holder. - I love being inside Dean's head reading his journal entries. This story is about Dean and how he deals with losing both Hope and Les.
Colleen handles these sensitive subject matters with great precision. High school is tough and I've never personally known someone to die during that time so this is a new experience for me. Colleen has covered all the bases.
Colleen adds a nice balance to this story considering the topic of death and kidnapping. There's humor mixed in with grief. There's anger mixed in with happiness. There's fighting mixed in with loving. There's intimacy mixed in with cheating.
I read Hopeless maybe years ago and have wanted to read Losing Hope for those years. I am amazed how easily all the information came back so simply. It was as if I read it yesterday. That story imprinted itself on my mind forever. I'm not one to remember details of a story but this one is still fresh in my mind. It has a draw to me. It touched my heart.
Holder is playing the part of a patient guy and its intoxicating. The flirting is seductive. I'm imprinting each moment in my mind. I love how Holder wants every moment to have meaning. Each shared encounter ship has to be relevant. I'm driven crazy by the sweet torture of Holder and his appreciation for Sky when he's adoring her.
I'm so wrapped up this story for a second time and I can't pull myself away. There is no part of the story that is easy to step away from. From one chapter to the next I find myself eagerly turning the pages. I love Holders character. I find Colleen has a way of capturing the innocence of a young male character. It's so sweet and pure. It makes me ache to have that tenderness.
Colleen you have a brilliant mind. I can see why people love you so much. You have this ability to look at all possible scenarios. You are like the devils advocate. Someone who can understand every possible path and give clarity to that perspective. That's what draws the reader. It's emotional and dynamic.

5. Beyond great - I read "Hopeless" and "Losing Hope" in days because I couldn't put these books down. You will go through an emotional roller coaster reading them but that's what keeps you reading. I don't remember ever reading a book where I LOL so much and then cried just as much but I loved every minute of it! The love that Holder and Sky share is beyond moving and heartwarming and everyone wishes they loved someone like they love each other. The only problem I had with these books is that they ended! I wish there was a rd book so we could see their life years later but unfortunately I know all good things must come to an end. Thank you for writing such incredible books and taking me on my emotional roller coaster and thank you for sharing Sky and Holders story of hope, fear, loss, trust, friendship, but most importantly, LOVE! Everyone should read these books!

6. Beautiful. - I fell in love with hopeless & once I found Losing Hope, I was ecstatic! Hoover is an incredible writer, she def has become my top-fave--must-drop-everything-when-she-releases-a-new-book-author. It's been a while since I've read hopeless, and after reading this, it took me on a whole nother ride, leaving me speechless. I think it was beautifully written, the ending brought a tear to my eye. And honestly, Hoover has been one of the only authors that ever made me cry. Read her other books as well! They will not disappoint!! Thank you Colleen!

7. Review: Hopeless : Losing Hope - Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover is the second book in the Hopeless series. Where Hopeless was tragically beautiful, Losing Hope was beautifully tragic. Both books have a HEA (Happily Ever After) as they are essentially both the same story from different POV's (Points Of View). In Losing Hope we get Holder's perspective. Who he was prior to and right after his sisters suicide, and what was happening with him when he first met Sky. To see what was going on inside the head of that beautiful specimen of man was a real treat. Lacey's journal - the back pages... Well that was a real twist. When Holder finally manages to deal with that, to read the contents, the redemption he's granted is priceless. If you loved Hopeless then you really owe it to yourself to get Holder's side of the tale. A pleasanter ear only slightly lee angst-filled as I already knew most of the details from the previous story and was prepared. I love pop culture references in books...It may not be deliberate, but for me this is a Barney from How I Met Your Mother reference. “Your logic terrifies me,” she says. “I sort of don’t find you attractive anymore.” Challenge accepted. I slowly slide on top of her, careful to hold my weight up with my hands. If my body were to touch any part of hers right now, we’d already be moving on to seconds and thirds. “You sort of don’t find me attractive?” I say, staring straight down into her eyes. “That can also mean you sort of do find me attractive.”

8. Surprisingly unique - When I read Hopeless, I couldn't put it down. When I saw this book, I was skeptical, expecting it to repeat a lot of chapters from Hopeless. The handful of scenes that were replayed gave me an entertaining perspective from Holder's pov. I went back to Hopeless and reread those scenes. This book is a wonderful read & I will look forward to the next books by Coleen Hoover.

9. Hopeless romantic - When I finished hopeless I was so excited to read losing hope. Unfortunately, the book even had the same dialog word by word... I had to shop a lot of the book because I has already read it in hopeless.... I with Colleen would have done this on a different manner in order to make the book interesting. The best part of the book was the ending, it was really the only new part of the story.
2013-09-13
10. His View - I am so glad that you did the second book "Losing Hope" it was nice to be able to hear his side of the story. I love how you added things to this book that were not in the first book. I really enjoyed both books and I have to say it was one of those books that when you start reading it is hard to put it down. This book is a great love story with an extra twist. Thanks for a great book! I will be reading all your books now.

11. Hoover did it again! - This book was amazing. I LOVED hopeless so much. Colleen Hoover is my favorite author! With slammed and point of retreat I knew this series was going to be amazing but this book literally blew me out of the waters. I was laughing and then crying a second later. This story is just amazing and I couldn't have been satisfied more!

1. My Heart Is Full - There are times when I read a book or a series and I’m desperately longing for more after “The End”. And Maybe Now fulfilled all of my expectations and so much more. This book made me cry because it’s utterly a beautiful and perfect ending for all of the couples in the series and when I tell you it’s absolutely amazing, touching and heartwarming, it’s literally ALL of those things. Thank you Colleen Hoover.
2023-02-21
2. Best ending! - This book had me on an emotional roller coaster, and I’m so happy Colleen finished the series the way she did! It’s so hard to pick a favorite book, but this one might just be up there! And the best part, it’s truly inspiring, I can take away real life lessons and apply them to my own life! Love love love this book!!
2022-10-14
3. Maybe Now - I read all and I just can’t describe the amount of sadness I have now that I have read all . I am going to miss reading about the different types of love in this book. Mean and sarcastic love (Bridgette and Warren, adventurous and in the moment love (Maggie and Jake, and then my favorite kind of love… true, passionate, understanding, deep love where they don’t even have to speak to understand the other person kind of love (Ridge and Sydney! I am sad that there are no more of this series because I’ll miss reading about Ridge and Sydney the most! This was by far my favorite series out of everything I’ve read. Love these

4. I need a th book - I’m new to Colleen Hoover books, but after It Ends With Us & now this series, I am hooked! I loved this series. I read all of the books in about days. I skipped over the Bridgette/Warren novella & decided to read it last because I just had to know what happened with Sydney & Ridge after the ending of Maybe Someday. At first I was annoyed that Maggie had her own chapters, but then I learned to love her character as much as the others. I liked the ending & I’m not sure a th book would even make sense, but I’m attached to the characters & I need more!
2022-09-24
5. LOVE - The Maybe Someday series was the first few books I’ve read of Colleen Hoover. And I love them! I especially loved this book. I didn’t think that either of the other books were left unfished but man was I surprised to learn from this book that there’s way more to learn about Maggie, Warren, Brennan, Ridge, Sydney, and Bridgette. / recommend reading if you’ve read the other two books in the series!!
2022-08-07
6. The perfect resolution to a lovely story - My only complaint with this book is that I wish there was more Maggie content! I love that we get to see so many points of view with this series. I love the representation and hope that they (deaf community and people with CF) feel like this book did a good job with it. I just love this series. I couldn’t imagine a more fit ending than what CoHo delivered us. I would absolutely be first in line if she ever decided to pick their story back up for a fourth book.

1. Elle Kennedy is at it again!! - I cannot read these books fast enough, I’m loving every second! This addition to the Off Campus series was funny, sexy, and even had me crying towards the end. I wasn’t able to predict any of the twists Kennedy had in store and picked my jaw up off the ground multiple times. Dean and Allie have sizzling chemistry, and of course, we can’t forget about Deans roommates who are ALWAYS good for a laugh. I can’t express enough how much I recommend this series!
2022-05-29
2. Dean is my favorite - Dean is my absolute favorite. Allie is the girl I want to be. I’m so sick of this world we live in where sexuality is such a tabu. As long as we are not hurting anyone or ourselves we should be able to enjoy the things we like, sex included. Best couple ever — and yes, better than Hannah and Garret.
2022-02-21
3. . - Dean and Allie (E. Coast University) - Book of - The Off-Campus Series (stand alone). Contemporary Romance. He is an insanely rich college senior who plays for the hockey team. She is also a senior at the school who is an inspiring actress. They are an unlikely pair but circumstances put them together where they share a one night stand. But he wants more and is not afraid to pursue it.
2022-01-24
4. Okay Dean! - He won my heart! Allie and Dean... I feeling the squish in my heart.
This story is just amazing and downright amazing!
Elle Kennedy did it again!
I’m rumbling but basically, I can’t explain how I feel.
This is an amazing story. Now I’m off to peep through Tucker and Sabrina’s attempt to parenthood!
2021-11-12
5. Pleasant - Going into this book I was more reading it to stay up to date with the series. I didn’t care much for Dean so wasn’t really interested in learning about him. I was pleasantly surprised and found myself really enjoying it. I love Allie and Dean as a couple and loved there ups and downs. As is though It wouldn’t be repeat read for me
2021-09-01
6. Just couldn’t... - I just couldn’t put this book down! Each chapter, just luring me in, page after to page. Out loud, blush inducing, giggling is what The Score is all about. Albeit, I read the first book in the series and skipped the second due to other reviews saying how good this one was and man am I glad that I did. Though there are some spoilers if you read the series out of order like me but honestly it doesn’t leave you questioning everything. It instead, pulls you in to wanting to go back and read book two with Logan and Grace! I’m so glad that the characters and their stories are still woven into Dean and Allie’s story and that they aren’t forgotten about. The Score is witty, sassy, steamy, and emotional and addictive! I’m so grateful for Elle for tackling tough and real situations with realistic consequences and having her character handle them tactfully and earnestly! BUT what I’m not grateful for is her writing the female leads to be strong and self created heroes and tackling those unspoken mind games and dark thoughts most women have and help to bring it to light so readers can just a sense of kinship with the characters. I’m hooked on this series and with Elle as a writer. I can’t wait to read Tucker’s story and to go back and read Logan’s!! Read this series, the only disappointed you’ll have, is how quickly you read the books/series!

1. Loved it - A nice quick read! I really love the pacing of this book. I physically felt the tension between these two lol ! The groveling is AHMAZING and perfectly executed!! Grace is a total babe and absolutely has this man on his knees. Logan is chefs kiss at taking care wink wink of our lovely Grace. It’s also nice to see characters from The Deal, especially the break through Logan has when he talks to Hannah. Also, the ending is satisfying! Overall pretty tame spice wise - but i enjoyed it! If you love a man that takes care of his partner then read away.
2022-11-25
2. Love it - Honestly I love this book! I love the details and how we get to learn so much about both characters! I also love how it wasn’t just about their love story but how Logan’s future. It wasn’t as amazing as the first book “The Deal” but it was definitely a great book! I can’t wait to read the third!
2022-08-16
3. Well written - This story was well written and cute/lightheaded for the most part, but also tackled the heavy topic of addiction well. However, sometimes it felt like Grace’s character lacked depth and, personally, the plot was a bit predictable. Either way I enjoyed the story of Logan and Grace, it was cute, but it wasn’t comparable to the first story in the series.
2022-06-26
4. Logan is / book boyfriend material - I laughed out loud SO often with this book. Logan is hilarious and I instantly loved him. Elle Kennedy hit it out of the park (sorry, still brushing up on my hockey lingo ) once again. I read this in two days— pre-mom life I would’ve finished it in a day. Lol I would give . stars if I could though, because I felt like Grace’s character was too one-note for me. I just wanted more from her character. But I would absolutely recommend this book and the series as a whole!
2022-05-29
5. Cute not great - I might be a little biased because The Deal is one of my go to books & I’m finally getting around to finishing the series buuuuuuut The Mistake didn’t quite hit the mark. It was cute & made me laugh a few times but I just:/// I did just buy book so hopefully I’ll have a better report on that one
2022-04-08
6. Another Book Finished In Hours Or Less - Has similar elements to The Deal—male lead who experienced a difficult childhood (for different reasons) that he doesn’t want people to know about that continues to impact his life, who is seemingly as self aware as he is confident, and falls hard for a girl that flew under his radar at first— without feeling like a repeat of the same story with different names. The situation with Logan having feelings for Hannah in The Deal was resolved in this book in a way that felt very genuine. While the middle section (Summer Break) felt a bit drawn out and lackluster, it captured exactly how Logan felt about not only that Summer Break, but also what his life after graduation would be, so I understand why it was necessary. I liked that Grace’s personality didn’t change when she came back from Paris, she just became more confident learned how to stand her ground. I would definitely read the book again.
2021-12-11
7. Cute but not at good as the first one! - Garrett and Hannah seemed so cute that I had to keep reading. Although there were some really cute parts to this book, I feel like there was a long pause in it regarding the main characters and it made me impatient lol. I liked it but thought it got kind of predictable and I can tell Elle doesn’t like too much conflict in her books but I feel conflict is necessary to make the makeup scenes better. Good, but Garrett and Hannah’s story was perfect.
2021-10-05
8. Slow burner - I must say the reviews were right about this one it’s not my favorite but I did love the story in the end. The beginning was VERY slow & I felt like there was some things that were just thrown in there for fluff that served no real purpose. I would have loved more expansion on when he was trying to win her back rather than the Paris trip part. The sex scenes were very intense which was good & Graces was not boring despite what the reviews said. Onto Dean’s story, I must say I’m gonna go broke paying for all these books but I have not an ounce of regret. Good job Elle.
2021-01-16
9. Pretty Good, but slightly boring - I thought that the book was overall good and told well. The parts that I did not like were that it seemed there were a lot of plot holes that were not exactly filled and many different events occurred that did not really matter to the story. I thought Logan and grace were cute, but their relationship was not as fun to read as Garret and Hannah’s was. Overall a good book.

1. The point is there is no point… - I typically give Colleen Hoover a star review but her writing in this book was a little more spastic. Still a good read and I will finish the series. I can tell that this is one of her earlier books due to the way she writes here. I shed a tear or two and had my heartstrings pulled again.
2023-01-30
2. Ooof - I really wanted to like this book but the female main character is beyond immature and selfish and it is hard to swallow. It’s actually frustrating how she acts at times and while I understand she is , it’s definitely aggravating. I just don’t think this book has the same magic that her other books have and I was a little disappointed by it.
2022-09-11
3. Holy Crap - Oh my god. This book destroyed me and put the pieces back together all within a few hours. This book made me truly think about life, death, and everything in between. Absolutely heartbreaking in the best possible way. Sobbed for a few minutes after finishing, and I’ve never done that with a book before. If / stars was an option I’d give it in a heartbeat.
2022-08-03
4. Another great Colleen Hoover book - This is my th book of Colleen’s and it did not disappoint. This story had a commonality in the Michigan connection which was cool and the story line pulled at me a lot of times. I cried a couple times throughout it. Another great read and can’t wait to read the next in the Slammed series!
2021-11-29
5. I could have passed on this one. - I’ve read several by Hoover and have enjoyed each and every one. Many of which I could not put down. However this one was a disappointment. The characters seemed a bit too immature for me and I had a difficult time getting past that. Didn’t grab me like her others.
2021-07-10
6. Filled with love and depth - After finishing this book, I couldn’t stop thinking about the impact it had on me. I loved so much of this book including the characters, plot, poetry, affection. From the beginning it engrossed me with ever page and made me feel joy, sadness, humor, and meaning. A great read and would highly recommend.

7. You must read it!!!!! - It's my new all time favorite book. This kind of reminded me of Ezra and aria from pll !!! I loved how there relationship had to go through many obstacles along the way and that's what made this book even more exiting and great. I can't wait till I get to read the second book. I'm really looking forward to it. Will and Lake are so lovable.

8. OMG sooooo good!!!! - Slammed was so good. It's like one of those books that you never want to put down once you start. Love the drama the twisted situations. Colleen Hoover is one of my favorite authors of all times. Her books end ironic endings that leave you wanting more. I really recommend that you read slammed first before reading any of her other books in slammed series. Because if you don't it will not make sense. The three books that so well together. I just wish they had a fourth one coming out. I wish they made a movie out of it is because this book is amazing. No let me restate that her books are amazing. I am now such a big Colleen Hoover fan !!!!

9. Slammed - what a terrific book! - Came across this book by accident and so glad I did. What an amazing first novel and to have it self published just makes it more so! Kudos to Colleen for writing characters and a story that really ring true. Can't wait to read the nd book! Two of my favorite characters.
2013-11-13
10. Disappointed :( - I read this after reading the Hopeless series and it does not compare! Throughout the entire book, beginning to end, I was in the back of my mind, thinking 'is this the same author?'
The characters had little connection and strained, stiff emotions. I did not favor either of the main characters. There was no angst moments. I nearly skimmed the whole book, waiting for a real moment to be excited about. I guess my expectations were hoping to parallel with Hopeless, but I was unfortunately disappointed with this one. It seemed like it was written for a much younger crowd, even though both stories are set in high school. Was there a better beta reader/editor reached after this series that brought better dialog, writing and character development? I'll be waiting for newer reads if so.

1. % Recommend the entire series!! - This series was my absolute favorite so far! Finding Perfect ended the series with all of the happy feels. I cried so many happy tears (not sure if I’ve ever cried over a book before). Such a heart warming series and I recommend reading them all in order to get the full experience! These characters are so real, with such real experiences. It’s easy to connect with at least one of them, if not more. I absolutely adored the ending of this series and am just hoping one day there will be another that adds on to it!

1. Love it - I love this book! This my third Colleen Hoover book and my favorite by far. I couldn’t put it down. Colleen has such a refreshing way of writing. I’ve read plenty of books that leave me dissatisfied but this one gripped me, I fell in love with Owen’s character. Thank you Ms. Hoover for delighting my soul.
2022-11-30
2. WOW. ALL THE EMOTIONS in the best way. - This book truly kept me turning the pages and wanting more the whole time. The way that the author teased how Owen knew Auburn at the beginning of the book makes you feel like it may be from a negative memory but the way he knew her was truly unmatched. It’s so easy to love Owen and the way he cares for others and will do anything for the ones he loves even if it impacts his life in the greatest ways. The guilt he holds from the car accident is clearly there but the way you watch him learn to accept it and continue to help his father is beautiful. Auburns drive and love for her son is the sweetest thing and really incredible how she’ll do absolutely anything for him. The end is truly a mic drop moment when you think Trey has won but she comes up with the master plan to get Owen out of jail and get custody of her son. This book is one of my favorites from CoHo!
2022-11-24
3. Slow, Slow, Slow Start, Amazing Ending - I love me some Colleen Hoover but man did this book have a slow start and a slow middle. It really stared picking up towards the end and I loved every second of it. Also, the ending was incredible and worth it, so if you are having a hard time getting through this book just keep going it’s worth it!
2022-10-12
4. Incredible. - I’m not typically a reader, the last time I read a book for my own enjoyment was over ten years ago when I was reading the twilight series… lol. But I’ve seen this authors name so many times and I’m a sucker for a good love story so I tried out her books. I’ve only read two so far but each of them blew me away. The way Colleen Hoover pulls at emotional strings while also hitting you with a twist you didn’t expect and then also giving the best endings possible, is incredible. I cried when I read both books, this one and “Ugly Love”. I can’t stop reading now and look forward to more!
2022-08-07
5. Decent - Compared to her other works this was a bit of a let down for me, a lot of filler and Owen’s character was an exact copy of Miles from Ugly Love. Considering that it was overall a good read but not worth the price if you’re going to reuse characters. It didn’t give me fresh the more I think about it, it’s a combo of It ends with Us and Ugly Love. Which kinda left no surprises because knowing nothing those stories I already knew the plot behind this one. Beginning and End were the only good parts about this book.
2022-07-14
6. / - Confess is definitely a great read! It’s so heartfelt and perfectly described the lengths that love can go and how much love can endure. I loved the the beginning, middle and the ending was literally thee cherry on top! Colleen Hoover is so clever and descriptive and the added illustrations was definitely a pleasant surprise but an amazing touch! Would recommend %.

1. So many issues - I’m not going to get into the inconsistency in the timeline, those seem to have been addressed by prior comments. I will however get onto character issues. Never in my life have I hated a character more than I hate Olivia (and I read about a book a day, which also proves a point that it’s taken me weeks to finish this series) not once during the entire series did I root for Olivia, not once did I want her to get the man and the happy life. I was hoping I would like her more after some time passed but the longer this goes on the more I regret even spending the $ it cost to read this nonsense. Olivia is a b plain and simple. Leo needs better, she deserves to live in her car. And I won’t be reading another novel by this author again. If all her characters are like this I’m not going to waste my time or money on it. As an author myself I can say without a doubt I learned something from this series, what not to do
2022-01-28
2. I don’t like Olivia - I missed spelled her name on my first review. But I don’t like her Attitude and she has Anger Issues. This writer is very confusing, first Olivia is an only child then she has a sister that she want to call then she don’t have a sister....uuugghhh. Then Leo hires Samatha to replace Olivia, then as you get in the middle of the story she said that she had to go help Rebecca in the Accounting Office. So the writer forgot who she first said was replacing Olivia.....uuuggghhhh. I really don’t like this story at all. Who in their right mind would take in a stranger and plus let them work in the company. And how she going to get mad at him when she won’t tell him anything.
2021-10-07
3. Sloppy storytelling - The timeline was way off from the days and events that occurred. Again, as I said in my review of book two, the story had errors. In book two, the woman they hired as head of accounting was named Samantha. In book three, her name was Rebecca. Her physical description was also different. Lastly, it was annoying that Leo kept referring to Olivia as “girl”. She was years old. I will not be reading this author ever again.

1. Not as good as the others - I just came across Colleen Hoover last week when I saw “it ends with us” on Instagram. Since then I read five of her books in four days. There is no doubt that she can pull you in and captivate you with her characters and their raw human emotions. “Point of retreat” was the fifth book of hers that I read and let me tell you I was disappointed. Hoover obviously is a talented writer but, her writing from the male perspective is lacking in emotion compared to her female perspective writing. I felt this way about “ugly love” but that was only a partial and this book was entirely male perspective. I did read the whole thing but it was bland and it felt like she was forcing herself to not right from a female perspective and in turn made the male character so boring. She did not hit it out of the park this time.
2022-08-15
2. So much love - First of all before reading point of retreat I recommend you to read slammed, i'm because point of retreat makes so much more sense of why certain events happened. And why a character feels the way they do. Point of retreat was my favorite one of all three. It made me cry so many times. I love the drama . Sometimes I feel like I'm in the story. Causes you to react towards certain events in the story. I would definitely recommend you to read all slammed series and I know for sure you would love point of retreat. Colleen Hoover is the best trust me you will not be disappointed. The book is so easy to read and understand nothing too complicated. OMG just read it you will love it. I promise!!!!

3. Suspend belief? OK. - I agree with the spoiler in that I had to suspend all belief about the sex, or lack thereof. It is ridiculous to think that two people totally in love at that age would have this restraint, and I don't think that story line added anything to the book overall. I also agree that the timing of some events are unbelievably coincidental, and predictable - I saw both coming from a mile away. That being said, I loved this book. I thought it was witty and charming and lovely and I laughed out loud a number of times. We suspend belief all of the time in movies and I have no problem doing that for this beautiful story.
2014-01-26
4. Disappointed - For the reasons I loved Slammed, I was throughly disappointed with Point of Retreat. Was this written by the same author? Where did all the detailed expressions, emotions, the touch, the words she used in Slammed that me feel all that Lake felt. She made Will's POV seem so matter of fact with no intensity. Will writes poetry, but severely lack the ability to describe his emotions with any passion, hunger, lust or severity.
2013-10-18
5. Great Author - I love this book as much as the other . If you like Hopeless you will enjoy this book too. It is a very touching story of a family that has had many misfortunes but they still manage to be happy and live an amazing life. A story of a family that has been through a lot together but manage to hold on o this amazing bond.
2013-08-31
6. Butterflying Amazing - I loved her first book in the series and this one proved to be equally amazing. I love how she continued with the slam poetry and even got the kids do it. The essence of family is well crystallized here and u can't help but find yourself absorbed in what is happening to the characters. I just love it.

7. Me encanta!!!! - Nunca habia llorado tanto leyendo un libro pero me parecio buenisimo no es facil parar de leer y no Queria q se acabara no veo la hora de leer mas libros de Ella.... I cry so much with this book, is not easy to put down I didn't want it to end I can't wait to read more books from her

8. Love this author! - I read Hopeless last week after it was rated & reviewed so well. Fell in love with that book! So this weekend I've spent on Slammed/Retreat when I found breaks from the wife/mother roles. The stories are so captivating, entertaining, enlightening, and just plain FUN to read! I'm ready for her next book! Excellent writing! Thanks!

9. Slammed/point of retreat - Loved both of these books! They are the first books I have read in just one day each. I laughed and I cried several times while reading these books. There are lots of turn of events that keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters are very admirable. The poetry in these books is amazing as well. Overall, they are wonderful books that I hope have more coming!

10. Slammed & Point of Retreat!! Definitely a must read!! - I love love "Slammed" and "Point of Retreat"!! I enjoyed reading both books soooooo much!! I read both books over the course of days!! The series is an intense and powerful/moving story about love and life and loss/death and family and friendship... There are a lot of moments of joy/happiness, heartaches and sorrow and hardships... I think the story was very well written and all the characters are amazing and real with raw emotions... The slam poetry written in this book are pretty powerful too!! There is also a lot of GREAT advice that you can use and apply to your own life that you would benefit from!! This book made me laugh out loud so many times and sigh and cry and cry... It was more like sobbing with snots and all... Oh yeah, it's a tearjerker!! :'( and then I would laugh some more... My heart was being pulled in all sorts of directions... Definitely a must read!! I loved loved it!!

11. I should have quit while I was ahead - Although I read and enjoyed SLAMMED (I did have to really do a lot of suspending of belief to do that), I was unable to suspend my belief for this story. SPOILER ALERT Major spoilers ahead - Read at your own risk There are just too many things I could not buy. One is that Lake's dying mother would make Will promise not to have sex with her ADULT daughter until a full year after her death. No one does that. Second, that Will would actually make and keep that promise. Third is that every time they're together and making out, although Lake is willing, Will refuses to have sex with her, even after the year time period has lapsed. They then plan this entire weekend together where they'll finally "do the deed" and of course minutes before they leave, the ex-girlfriend shows up at his house and refuses to leave. Of course Lake arrives just as Will is comforting his ex (kiss on the forehead) and storms out. Weekend is shot to hell and Lake refuses to talk to Will. This not talking goes on for a bit. When it finally looks like they're FINALLY going to get together, tragedy strikes. At this point, I'm so frustrated with the book I'm skimming like crazy and wondering what on earth the author was thinking when she wrote it. In the end, I was so disappointed, I wished I had just stuck with SLAMMED and hadn't read a word of this book because it ended up tainting SLAMMED for me. I learned my lesson and I will definitely not pick up another book about these two characters if one should come out. I should have quit while I was ahead.

1. I don’t like Oliver - Oliver has Anger Issues, I don’t like her. How can see get mad at Leo for trying to find out about her after he asked her over and over about herself and she refused to tell him anything. And he is stupid for letting a stranger move in and work for his company and he knows nothing about her. I don’t like the way this writer tell stories.

2. Dragged on - This book was just filler and pretty boring. As I stated in my review of the first book in the series, there are story errors. The name of Olivia’s home town changed from book one to book two. In book one, Olivia bought a blue dress for the charity event from Linda during the first shopping, along with an entire wardrobe. Later Olivia bought a red dress for the charity event as if she hadn’t already bought a dress, and bought another dress for a dinner as if she hadn’t bought any others. My biggest complaint in both books is all the drinking and driving. That is not okay. The author blew it because instead of reinforcing the image of smart, responsible professionals, driving drunk just makes Leo and Olivia seem stupid, irresponsible, and dangerous.

1. The nail in the coffin… - Again, Harley does an amazing job, I always considered myself monogamous, but as I became enlightened by Jess and the boy’s relationship, I can no longer look at open relationships the same, it’s not about what you own or whose yours, it’s about the love and devotion that exists, seeing the person you love also fall in love, not being jealous, just simply having a bond unbreakable and unreachable to the outside world. I feel in love with Jess, this book after her full metamorphosis, the lake scene, the way she told every boy she loved them, was raw, she loved every single one of their own way, she loved Manson, he strong protector, his gentleness towards her and the first person she feel in love with, Vincent, she loved him for his total undivided devotion, I’ll never recover from his murals, and also the prom scene from Losers Part I, Jason, the young man whose first thought was to protect her and love her, their love for the gym, fast cars and sensual sex, Jason was the one character I held dear to me, Lucas, the tormented soul, changed for her, his sanity was withering at times while around her, yet he couldn’t get her out of his head or heart. The emotional scene of her and him expressing feelings did not hold me back from the happy tears of relief, after losing everything, just like Manson, he only had his boys, Jess would be the final person that would cement his healing, the trauma expressed in this book, could be triggering, but what’s a story of love without anger, disparity, and relief, Harley, I can’t thank you enough for your amazing work, I am speechless.

2. Kidnap but make it sexy - This book will make you realize you have kinks you didn't even know you had!
All sexiness aside, this story is so much more than just steamy sex scenes in almost every chapter. It is about love and continuing to grow as a person. I love reading about this family's dynamics and how I feel like I am part of it.
I do not want to choose favorites, but my favorite is Jason

3. Best Series Ever! - Absolutely love love love! I’ve been waiting so impatiently for part to come out and it didn’t disappoint! I wish I could give this stars! Characters are amazing and so in depth, plot was phenomenal, ending was perfect(especially ending scene)! Amazing read and quite possibly my favorite series to date.

1. I will never recover… - The journey from Dare to Losers Part , was something I was unexpectedly not ready to comprehend. The character development of Jess was enlightening, the metamorphosis of her character as well as realizing her sexuality and taking pride in it was emotional and captivating. Manson, one of the greatest male protagonist I’ve ever read in a book, continued to take my breath away, his exploration from a tough, strong and resilient man, to a vulnerable and emotional human being was an emotional rollercoaster for me. Vincent, whose character was extremely likeable from the beginning, made me feel safe, as though someone who would give anyone the world, and more, a man whose confidence relied within himself, but from also taking care of those he loved most, his love language for cooking and words affirmation I couldn’t get over, not to mention, his long hair and tattoos make me want to step into the book. Jason, a sweet blue haired boy with intense eyes, a geek within a heart of gold, and colorful personality reminded me of people from my past, beautiful people both inside and out, he showed a passionate devotion to Jess, even though she had hurt him, he never allowed her to think of herself unworthy of love, Jason Roth, I wish I could marry you and your perfect soul palate of colors. Lucas, my dark and demented krytonite, I’ve always had a thing for the so called damaged boys, and Lucas ignited my liking in an unforgettable way, intense, intimidating, yet the bane to my existence, his sweet side for Jess and his boys, his mean attitude to anyone that disrespects him or anyone he loves, and his body full of dark tattoos has his camouflage to the world, I never imagined falling for a character. I will never recover from this book…

2. Amazing follow up to the Dare! - I really loved this book. If you enjoyed the novella, The Dare, then you will enjoy this follow up to it. It retains the same vibes and level of spice of it but Losers dives deeper into the characters. Normally when reading a book where characters have multiple love interests I have trouble liking them all or at least not playing favorites. I assumed going into this that Manson would be my favorite but after reading this, I really loved everyone of them each in their own way. Even though all of the boys have a lot of similarities due to interests, they are very unique from each other and have their own struggles, something that can get lost with this many characters. Jessica was also amazing. I just adore them all. I can’t lie, I’m bitter they are all fake because I would happily be with them all. I really like the little moments in this book. Losers is very heavily smut oriented but there were just quite a few sweet parts, domestic moments, and just adorable interactions between the characters that it balanced it all out. I enjoyed how much they loved each other. The polyamorous aspect of this seemed well done. They guys weren’t together for the sake of the smut but because it made sense for the story and their characters. I appreciated that aspect a lot and it was good bisexual representation. Another part I enjoyed was the character development. Even though Jessica can be terrible, I got where she was coming from with her logic and so it made it easier to love her even before she became better. I am curious to see where she goes in the second half. I definitely need a little more depth from everyone but it’s hard to fairly judge that without part but it is heading in a direction that will allow for more complexity of the characters. There is a lot of potential for a lot more in part that I can’t wait to see. They all have their own struggles and mental blocks they need to get past. I like that they aren’t expecting anyone in this relationship to be perfect. They are all messy and need to work on things but are learning that they can lean on each other when needed in a very healthy way. Overall, I’d recommend this one for anyone who enjoys very spicy books. It does not hold back and the content warnings on the first page should tell you what you are in for (hint: it’s a wild ride). But I enjoyed the balance of it with interesting characters. It is more character driven than plot driven but that works for me. I think the characters will continue to stick with me for a long time. I hate that I’m a fast reader because my brain is having a hard time leaving this word and I need more. I’m so thankful it isn’t a long wait for Losers part because I need more Jessica, Manson, Lucas, Vincent and Jason in my life.

3. Warm, Fuzzy, Sexy, Daring - I am in awe of her writing style, the way she details everything, the emotion she captures with every single character. I feel so close to them all and I just feel so many things I can’t even put into words. This series is AMAZING and I can’t wait for more. It feels so right while I’m reading this book. Like I’m not just trying to get through it, and I’m not feeling put off by any aspect. It’s so real and unconforming (not a word but you get it). I already loved her work and now this tops it all for me. Can’t wait to read more- TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!

4. Mind blowing - This book blew my mind. I read the Dare and it was a short book but full of so much I couldn’t wait to learn more about the guys. Manson, Lucas, Jason and Vincent. This book blew everything out of the water my emotions are all over the place still. Back stories came out of the guys and some broke my heart one made me happy. Each story had my feelings all over the place. Jess own back story was something not everything we perceive is as it seems.
I can’t wait for part because I know what I want to happen and I hope it does. Bravo to this amazing author who created a world and characters that are so human but it also makes you think more about how we treat people and where people come from and what is lurking behind your neighbors door too. The steamy scenes are hot hot hot!!!

5. Fascinating and exciting read! - Hands down one of my most anticipated reads for and let’s just say Harley Laroux didn’t disappoint!!! This book was everything I hoped it would be I love this group of losers I’m obsessed with them their story is sexy exciting and so freaking hot but it’s so much more we get insight into each character and what their feeling and thinking my heart aches for these broken boys and Jess well it takes a special woman to handle these bad broken boys and I think she’s absolutely perfect for them I absolutely loved her character and even her character growth from the Dare was amazing to see and witness I will be anxiously waiting for part and I can’t recommend this book enough! Check your trigger warnings because this book won’t be for everyone but I personally loved it!

6. Emotional and Exhilarating…Best Read of - I am here to say this book is my top read. Harley Laroux was able to capture the essence of The Dare that we all loved and spin this story into even further depths. The intense insight we are given into each character with an extreme focus on each of our clown boys really changes everything you assumed about them. My dark heart, beautiful, broken boys. There's not one I could possibly choose over the other, but I can tell you who I identify the most with. Lucas Bent. If you go into this story just looking for smut and kink, you're missing the bigger picture. There are all those things but the pain and longing felt is visceral. I'm excited to see where Losers Part takes us.

1. Ehhh.. didn’t live up to my expectations - This is the first Elle Kennedy book that just didn’t do it for me. Some of the themes I could appreciate, but a lot of it just felt really juvenile and had weaker storylines. I would recommend the rest of this series, but this one you could take it or leave it.
2022-08-20
2. hm??? - Her only personality trait was being insecure about how she looks. I mean relatable but also it’s - i know that Elle Kennedy can dig a little deeper than that. I mean seriously, i feel like elle kennedy is actually a year old man the way she writes women. overall / book it was okay. not the worst but not the best i guess. the love story was semi cute and only made me want to throw up like twice.

3. It was great but - It was great and the only reason why I took off a star was because she can’t get past her being on the curvy side. As a curvy girl myself it’s annoying that she does this to herself and in MY OPINION, you should never rely on a man (even tho he is a great one) to love yourself. I wish she would have found that for herself without her man. That’s the only thing I didn’t enjoy about this book. He constant thing about her weight and food she eats. If you can’t love yourself how do you expect someone else to. That’s my logic.

4. She did it again... - Every book in this series just got better and better. I loved seeing the change and growth in Conor and ending the series with his story could not have been better. I said this after every book I finished in the series but...this was my favorite. If you want to read a great story with real struggles, insecurities, humor, and acts of love and selflessness, this is for you. And if you have an appreciation for great writing and well thought out details and back stories give this whole series a go, you won,t regret it! My biggest thanks to the author for the journey I just went on.

5. so good! - I love the other books in the series, and I was very sceptical about this one because of the reviews. As a curvier girl, this book made me so happy, it made me feel represented and appreciated. I feel like the author does a really good job of acknowledging how it feels in society now to not be super thin. I love this book much, and I love seeing this side of Connor. Honestly might be my favourite of the series. Must read!

6. Amazing! - Before reading I read the reviews and a lot of people didn’t like this book. However I felt I related to this book a lot more than the others and I loved it. The boy with a past the girl with weight problems and being teased yet somehow they find a way to make it work. The girl is different from the other girls who were all known as skinny, but I thought it was just different enough.

7. Good - I had higher hopes for this one than the others when I read the reviews of it being about a “curvy” girl. I wanted more positivity around the fact that she was bigger aside from Connor but regardless I loved the book & Elles style of writing. I’m officially a fan. I’m sad this Briar U is over but onto the next series.

8. Love this book - It was so good to read. All of Elle books are. I read this one in days could not put my phone down. I would love a nd book on the date. I would like a nd for all of them. I love all the characters. They are so good. Side note: I think I couldn’t put this one down bc I can relate to T on how she was in the beginning with wanting to hide.

9. Worth the read - While Garrett Graham in “The Deal” remains to be my book boyfriend, Conor earns a spot in my heart too. He’s sweet, funny and a very nice guy. Taylor is definitely a lucky girl. Needless to say, I enjoyed this story. The inclusion of Coach Jensen’s love life is also a plus for me. Kinda sad though, since this is the final of Briar U series but at least it ended really good.
Job well done, Elle Kennedy! More good and fun stories, please.

10. Stars for Con and T! - Elle Kennedy is back to deliver her last book in the Briar U series! In The Dare we follow Conor Edwards, a member of the Briar U hockey team who we met in the previous book of the series. Conor has been shown as a big ladies man, always hooking up with different girls and being the talk of the campus because of it. His reputation definitely precedes him when it comes to the ladies. Much to the point where he feels he's basically became more of a conquest to them than an actual person. And he's getting pretty bored of it all. Enter Taylor Marsh - a sorority girl with a major case of body insecurities. Her fuller figure makes her stand out amongst the other girls around and some of the girls in her sorority don't let her forget it, always finding a way to humiliate her. Which is why they dare her to seduce the notorious Conor Edwards - because why would a gorgeous guy like him even give her the time of the day? But to everyone's surprise, one dare turns into something neither Conor nor Taylor ever expected - love. I went into this with low expectations. Sad to say, but overall this spin off series hasn't really lived up to it's predecessor - the Off Campus series. Especially the last book was a big let down for me. However, this book was big step up from that and I genuinely did enjoy it. This gave me the same feelings I got while reading The Risk and Off Campus. I think this is one of the better books in this series. It really surprised me. First of all, I didn't expect Conor to be so sweet. I kinda expected him to be a sort of Dean clone. More cockiness in his personality than anything else. But in reality he was just very misunderstood, struggling to find who he was in the world, and full with so much love to give. He was the perfect guy for Taylor, no doubt about it. He loved her unconditionally with all her faults and despite her insecurities which he could not see at all. To him, Taylor Marsh is his perfect match. I loved him for being a great guy and always doing the right thing in the end and supporting/loving Taylor through everything she goes through in this story. Which brings me to talk about Taylor. It's crazy how much I could relate to her. Being a bigger girl myself, I could totally see where she was coming from on a bunch of things. Not wanting to show off her body by her clothing choices, getting fat shamed, and not thinking you're good enough to be with a good looking guy...the list goes on. I liked the journey she went on in this. From letting the mean girls get to her, to in the end being fed up with it and standing up for herself. And with the help of her friends and Conor, she's learning to accept herself the way she is - that she is beautiful and desirable and is worthy of Conor's affections. In the end, she and Conor made one another better people. They both had issues of not thinking the other was good enough for each other. Conor with his identity crisis because of actions/choices he made in the past and Taylor because of her insecurities. I liked how they were both dealing with the same things, just in different ways. And sadly these things did tear them apart more than once in the story (which is why I deducted a star), but they did find their way back to one another. Overall, it was a wonderful love story between them. So, what should you expect?
- Fake Dating
- Friends To Lovers
- Curvy Heroine
- Ladies Man with a Heart Of Gold Also TW for: body/fat shaming & body insecurities. If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, don't hesitate to pick this one up!

11. Good but - I really like the book so far, but the amount of skinny shaming really hurts. People need to realize that being skinny isn’t much of a choice and reading books and seeing all these curvy women being thirsted over by guys makes us really insecure. At one point the author wrote in Conor’s perspective, “Women are supposed to be soft and curvy and squeezable” like women aren’t SUPPOSED to be anything I thought

12. The last one - So sad this is the end ;( loved the book. Connor and Taylor are so sweet. The interactions with Con’s roommates were some of the funniest. And the whole thing with coach as my favorite! Just had a big smile on my face reading about it.. especially since he was in every book. Anyway, Connor gave me Dean and Tucker vibes, he was so sweet with Taylor!! Thank you Elle for creating this amazing universe

13. Incredible book - I love every single book written by Ellen Kennedy she has a way to made feel connected to every story she writes. I enjoy the book very much I laugh so hard all the time and I finished the book in just days it was super fun and hilarious. I love the story between Connor and Taylor it’s such a sweet and funny story that only thing that I didn’t like was how extremely insecure Taylor was, even though I feel identified with her in some aspects while I was reading sometimes made me feel annoyed. But for that I love the book and I absolutely love Connor and his part in the story was my favorite!

14. The Dare - OMG!! This was a fantastic book. Hilariously funny . I haven’t laughed like this in a good while. I truly loved it and definitely can relate to Taylor and her insecurities. I have a awesome husband who loves me when I’m thin or heavy. I’ve battled with weight my whole life and understand her reservations while also hiding behind clothes. This really touched home. It’s hard these days to find a man like Connor who truly loved Taylor for her and not what she looked like. Fat shaming and body image issues is a stigma happening more and more today. The fact she found value and self worth in herself was uplifting. Taylor also found the courage to fight and stand up for herself. A great book for any young person to read.
2020-06-18
15. Boring with No Substance - This is quite possibly the worst book I’ve ever read. The characters aren’t compelling and the subject matter in the book lacks any substance. It’s predictable. I understand that it wasn’t meant to be a literary novel and thought it might be a fun read. But it was so trivial and such a common story that I couldn’t even finish it.

16. Fake relationship that fell a bit short of expectations - Elle Kennedy's Off Campus series is one of my favorite series ever, just completely perfect. Its the one series I constantly recommend, whether someone is looking for a great sports romance or new adult series. All the books were five star reads for me and the week I spent reading them in was a great reading memory for me. That being said, I was so disappointed with The Dare. The Briar U spin off series has been hit or miss for me, I enjoyed The Chase and The Risk were fun reads, but I DNF The Play due to some content I found problematic. I kind of wish I DNF'd The Dare too... I'll start by saying there were quite a few moments that I found myself smiling at. I enjoyed their meet-cute and how their fake relationship turned into a real one. I loooove fake relationship plots and those moments with Taylor and Connor pretending to date in the beginning were great. I thought the moments with Connor's friends were hilarious and reminded me a lot of the great banter from Off Campus. And I always appreciate a hero that is really into the heroine (although at times their chemistry felt off to me) I'm all for a plus size heroine but Taylor was SO insecure. If you compare yourself to two of the hottest supermodels, own it! Her insecurities and negative self-talk made it really hard for me to connect with her story. I really struggled with all the subplots in this story, I kind of hate the "mean sorority girl" trope and I really disliked all those parts in the story. Also Connor's shady backstory subplot felt out of place and a little unnecessary. I kept expecting characters from his past to pop back up because that storyline felt so unfinished. I really hate miscommunication and I felt like the final conflicts Connor and Taylor had were a little too much. Overall, The Dare was a -. star for me. This was one of my most anticipated summer reads and I'm so sad it fell short for me.

17. . Stars! - Eeeeek! I loved this book! Conor, Conor, Conor.... holy hotness! Loved this sexy, smirky, witty, delicious character. He was adorable, and I could not get enough of him! I have loved all of the amazing stories and characters from Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus and Briar U series. I’m sad to see them come to an end, so I savored every bit of Conor and Taylor’s story. I loved how brave Taylor was when it came to that silly sorority game. It was so cute how Conor played right along and didn’t skip a beat. I really enjoyed how Conor responded to Taylor. You could feel the crackle of electricity between them. I loved the angst, the witty dialogue, and all the emotions their story brought out in me. Most of all, I loved that their story made me smile. My favorite books are those that leave me wanting more. I can’t wait to see what this author releases next. Until then, happy reading. The Dare is a MUST! Review by Lys

18. This fake to real sports romance is everything! - Sooooooo. I devoured this book in hours. Taylor!! Loved her so. Wish she saw herself like others see her... Conor... seriously cool, kind, awesome. It starts on a dare or dare... And who doesn’t like to play a game on the mean girl you know? Then stuff starts to get and feel real! I hardcore love this hockey series! Loved this so big!

19. GREAT FINALE - I fell in love with these characters and that school pages into The Deal. Elle’s stories and relationships only got better through all books! I have been waiting for The Dare FOREVER and it was everything I hoped for. Conor and Taylor’s banter had me laughing out loud and their deep conversations left me teary-eyed. I couldn’t imagine a better ending to the Briar U Hockey boys!!

1. Love love love it!! - Oh my gosh! I hated to see this story end. The Sheridan brothers are dreams come true and Dylan doesn’t disappoint! He’s just as caring and thoughtful as Logan and Ryan were in their stories. I didn’t want to put this down. I love seeing the family dynamics of the Sheridans and the end is so heartwarming. I wish there were more brothers so we had more stories to read!!I’m hoping the Aloha series is just as good. I haven’t been disappointed with any of Kate’s books so I’m looking forward to reading about the Sheridan cousins next! Keep writing Kate!
