2. Didn’t want to put it down - Well it was pure torcher reading half this book and then having to put it down because life happens. I loved every moment of this book with tears of laughter, sadness and joy. This was well written and I’ve loved every book in all the series. Thank you Melissa for bringing these stories to life.

4. Such a strong loving story - It’s time for another amazing romance book alert. Melissa has a new book out and you know how much I love her books. So of course I’m gonna share it with you! It’s called Then came love and it follows Jax and Jordan’s story. Jax and Jordan story is a love finds you at the most inopportune moments type of story. Jordan ,a sweet woman who lost her family, is engaged and meets with Jax a brilliant famous wedding dress designer to design her dress. This should be a normal wedding thing to do but when sparks fly Jordan is left wondering what is wrong with her. Can she be friends and work with Jax to get her dress made or should she steer clear and buy a generic off the rack dress? Jordan is not alone in these sparks; Jax felt them too and hasn’t gotten her off his mind since but she’s marrying someone else. Can he show her how love is meant to be? I definitely recommend this book. As usual I was hooked from the first chapter. They are so emotionally tied together it makes me smile. I had tears of joy and sadness in the last chapter. I was sad the book ended so fast and I loved the story but wanted more. I want proposal, and more on Sully. I honestly can’t believe I got a year to wait to read Sully’s story but Melissa definitely reeled me in and left me longing for more in a good way. Her books are definitely addictive so head over and get your copy of this book today. You will be happy you did

5. Jax Jordan - Every Melissa Foster story is unique and dives a little deeper into what is or isn’t perceived as socially acceptable. This story has a very different beginning, but still leads to a happily ever after. Jax falls for Jordan the first time they meet. Unfortunately she is a client and is asking him to design her wedding gown. Jordan is keeping her heart safe and is staying with someone who has always been there for her, until she learns more about him. The signs of hope are all around us. Jax helps Jordan reach for her dreams and surrounds her with hope and signs of hope daily. Thank you, Melissa Foster, for the touching story of hope and love.

6. Wow. Just wow. - I have been waiting for Jax’s story. And this book more than delivered! Jordan and he were meant to be together, but there was Todd. Todd who I despised before even “meeting” him because he tried to dim Jordan for his own gains. Jax wanted to help her light shine, and it made me love him even more! Such a great book!

7. Jax is swoon-worthy - How can anyone not love Jax Braden? He's in love with Jordan, but she is with someone else. And he would never interfere in someone's relationship. He is so swoon-worthy. Goodness. Doing all of the "groom" tasks for the wedding without telling her that her fiance is a douche. Just spending as much time with her as he can. Is it wrong of him? Probably. But she needs a friend and that is exactly what he is being. I'll be honest and say I was not impressed with Jordan. She was being taken advantage of and used by her fiance. I felt like she allowed him the freedom to do that and made excuses for him. It frustrated me from a woman's perspective. I pride myself on women being intuitive and sensing when something is not right. A few notes - I loved those old ladies where Jordan works. They are a freaking hoot. I loved the "we're old, not dead" mentality. Good for them for being who they are. And Jilly is going to get hers and soon I hope. Goodness, she needs a man.

8. Full of emotions - Jax and Jordan really are the perfect match. Too bad she’s engaged to someone else…and he’s designing her wedding gown. I mean, can this happen anywhere other than between the pages of a romance novel?
I spent much of the book wondering if Jax was an eternal optimist or if he was delusional. Jordan was set on marrying old what’s his name. Even with the sparks flying between her and Jax, she still held onto her plan to marry a man we didn’t love or was even compatible with. While I loved their chemistry, banter and budding friendship, I wondered if Jax specifically would get his heart broken. I honestly wasn’t that worried about Jordan. Harsh, but true.
While there’s no physical “cheating”, there was still feelings that were allowed to run between these two. Not gonna lie, I was skeptical. But I shouldn’t have been, because the tough stuff wasn’t swept under the rug and ignored. The author handled it in a thoughtful and honest way. Which made me love the characters and the storyline even more. Shame on me for even entertaining a moment of doubt. And kudos to Melissa Foster for yet another complex and loving book.

9. Finding the perfect love - Jordan and Jax meet for him to design her gown. Through the process of him designing the gown, they form a bond and spend time talking. While they know they shouldn’t be spending time together, Jax still turns on the charm! I loved that she finds she doesn’t need to settle. And that they find their way to each other! Definitely a must read!

1. So many issues - I’m not going to get into the inconsistency in the timeline, those seem to have been addressed by prior comments. I will however get onto character issues. Never in my life have I hated a character more than I hate Olivia (and I read about a book a day, which also proves a point that it’s taken me weeks to finish this series) not once during the entire series did I root for Olivia, not once did I want her to get the man and the happy life. I was hoping I would like her more after some time passed but the longer this goes on the more I regret even spending the $ it cost to read this nonsense. Olivia is a b plain and simple. Leo needs better, she deserves to live in her car. And I won’t be reading another novel by this author again. If all her characters are like this I’m not going to waste my time or money on it. As an author myself I can say without a doubt I learned something from this series, what not to do

2. I don’t like Olivia - I missed spelled her name on my first review. But I don’t like her Attitude and she has Anger Issues. This writer is very confusing, first Olivia is an only child then she has a sister that she want to call then she don’t have a sister....uuugghhh. Then Leo hires Samatha to replace Olivia, then as you get in the middle of the story she said that she had to go help Rebecca in the Accounting Office. So the writer forgot who she first said was replacing Olivia.....uuuggghhhh. I really don’t like this story at all. Who in their right mind would take in a stranger and plus let them work in the company. And how she going to get mad at him when she won’t tell him anything.
2021-10-07
3. Sloppy storytelling - The timeline was way off from the days and events that occurred. Again, as I said in my review of book two, the story had errors. In book two, the woman they hired as head of accounting was named Samantha. In book three, her name was Rebecca. Her physical description was also different. Lastly, it was annoying that Leo kept referring to Olivia as “girl”. She was years old. I will not be reading this author ever again.

1. Awkweird - First time reading this author. This could have been a really sweet romcom BUT for the explicit sex scenes every few pages and so many F bombs. Guess that’s what sells books these days since so many authors have decided to write that way. The story really was cute and I liked the characters.

2. Laugh out loud fun - A funny addition to the Ice Knights series by Avery Flynn. We first met Tess in the Hartigan series as a shy wallflower. Tess had a tough childhood and her coping mechanism was to try to stay as invisible as possible. When she gets any attention, she starts spewing useless trivia. Tess meets Cole, a hot hockey player, at her friend Lucy’s wedding rehearsal. A couple of drinks and one round of trivia later, Tess and Cole end up getting “weddinged” (a meaningless wedding hookup). Of course, their protected sex wasn’t so protected, and Tess ends up with a bun in the oven. Now Cole and Tess have to figure out how to co-parent. Cole’s OCD life will never be the same. Cole and Tess are a great couple who react to stress in different, often humorous, ways. I love this book and am anxiously waiting for the next book in the series.

3. So glad Avery continued the Ice Knights series! - So glad Avery continued the Ice Knights series! After her traumatic and distant childhood, Tess has guarded herself as an adult by being awkward and as invisible as possible. The last to be single out of her group of friends, she is starting to feel lonely and a seventh wheel to the group. At the wedding of one of her friends, she meets Cole and while she’s extremely attracted to him, she focuses on putting no attention on herself. But as fate would have it, they end up competing together against the rest of the crew in trivia, which is her specialty, and they have an epic one-night stand. And as one-night stands go, Tess ends up pregnant. With Cole thinking he’s getting back together with his ex since they have been on and off for years and his reluctance to change, he resigns himself to being involved with Tess for the baby, but still plans to get his life back on track and to normal. But after Tess has some bad luck with her living situation and the pair are somewhat forced together at his home, she inserts herself into his way of life and changes him for the better. But with both of them being resistant to change and being vulnerable, it’s a question on if they will end up happily together. I continue to love Avery’s rom-com storylines and also love that being it’s part of a series we get to see our other favorites from books past and updates on them as well. Can’t wait for the next installment in this series!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

4. Bigfoot finds a permanent home! - Tess and Cole were pure magic! Just what the other needed! Tess is pure chaos and Cole is pure routine. Their meeting is during a wedding where they have a one night stand with a surprise baby. What will Tess and the baby do to Cole’s routine? Can Tess find more than the temporary home she has always had in the past? Will Bigfoot find his place in their home? This book is filled with lots of laughter along with a kitten with a penchant for toilet paper! I really enjoyed ready this book! It left me with a smile on my face!

5. Great Rom-Com!! - Cole and Tess were so much fun to get to know! Tess’ ability to remember random trivia was awesome and I thought it was great that Cole was able to come back with his own trivia knowledge. But, Tess also touched my heart with her attitude that everything is temporary. Cole on the other hand, I wanted to strangle him at times. His OCD regarding chaos drove me nuts! LOL!! I did love that his heart was in the right place when it came to Tess. Somebody needed to show her that not EVERYTHING is temporary. Looking for a fun, sexy read with a great HEA this is your kind of romance.

6. Adorable, Sweet & Funny! - Big win for this new RomCom from the very funny and talented Avery Flynn. What a charming, adorable, funny, sweet, sexy and yup at times awk-ward/weird story! I absolutely loved everything about it!! Tess & Cole (aka Thor's twin) are so amazing together and I just love their characters so much. Their chemistry is off the charts! After their awkward meeting during trivia at a wedding, one steamy thing leads to another and life altering consequences follow. Tess is awesome, she is so quirky and awkward and just so lovable. Cole is a hot, sexy hockey player and is pretty smart except for his on again off again relationship that he can't seem to let go in order to see what is right in front of him. Neither of them is keen on relationships but they are both on board with the pregnancy, so there is that little problem to overcome. But they really do fit together perfectly and complement each other in so many ways; all they need to do is see it for themselves and work out their own stuff so they can be the couple/family they are meant to be. I definitely fell in love with this couple and their story!

7. Love this series! - Oh how I love this world that Ms. Flynn has created!
This is the awk-weird story of Tess and Cole. An awkward meeting over a trivia game, random facts spouting and a hella hot hookup.
Tess is just precious. I could sympathize with her go-to reaction of spewing out random facts. I wanted to hug her hard after reading about her past and how she was shuffled along. I too know how it is to make yourself small, to disappear into the wall to not make waves.
Cole, oh this hot mess of a man. Such a stickler for consistency, but that is his "safe" place. I did want to shake him hard about his stubbornness with Marti, I mean come on! See what is in front of you!
Tess and Cole have sparks galore, but they also have insecurities and vulnerabilities that almost wreck their relationship.
With hilarious secondary characters and a spawn of satan cat, this story is one you won't be able to put down until the very end!

1. One of the best books i've ever read. - Usually I have a hard time reading books that aren't mainly focused on relationships and love. This book kept me hooked and as much as I was hoping more relationship would come in I think this book was genuinely perfect. The build up to learn about what the fallout was and the emotion that was in this book is overwhelming. My heart was thumping when everything was revealed and these characters were so relatable it felt as if I was in their shoes. Ontop of that they had a type of love and friendship that I feel everyone who is a hopeless romantic hopes to find one day. / perfect book.

2. Fell in love with reading again - I used to read all the time and even since life got busy, I put books aside. Now that I’m coming up on finishing college, I decided to try reading again. This book is completely worth it. Feeling like you are apart of the book is something I missed so much. This is a definite read!!! (I plan on buying the physical book too)

3. Great Beach Read! - Finished this book on my honeymoon, this was a great easy read for someone who loves romantic stories. I felt it was missing something, the story over all was captivating enough but seemed too easy in the end. Overall, I couldn’t put it down at one point. Would recommend for a light read

4. Beautiful - I could not put it down! I had looked at it a few times before I picked it for my next read... so happy I read this amazing love story.
The characters will make you laugh, cry and cringe with frustration. Then they take your breath away. The deep love Macy and Elliot develop for each other gave me chills ...I never wanted it to end.

5. Sentimental , heartwarming story - What I love most about this book that the storyline is very heartwarming you can feel the little details between Macy and her father , and with Elliot , it’s a little bit of a different take on love stories and I really enjoyed it , can’t wait to read more novels from a Christina Lauren .

6. One word: You - (Possible spoilers) Sit down because this is going to be a long one. (If you get what the review title means your a real one) First let me just say that I loved it, so many feels (Macy and Elliot were so perfect). Now on to the juicy stuff. Sean was a walking red flag. Don’t even get me STARTED on how he reminded me of Ryle (yeah THAT ryle from IEWU). The only slightly redeeming thing about him was how cute he was with Phoebe. The whole back story with Macy and Elliot was an emotional roller coaster . The feels were so extreme. Like they fr had me laughing, blushing, and crying within one chapter. Bro if that isn’t saying enough idk what will. Also the whole cheating-on-the-love-of-my-life-with-a-knockoff-and-then-her-dad-dying thing made me maddd . How th did he think Emma was Macy and her dad …… . Not cool Christina, Lauren not cool. On the other hand I related so much to both of the main character with their love of words. I feel like that’s something anyone reading this book (or any for that matter) would say, but it’s so true. Finally I can’t forget to mention the ending. Ummm there was no reason for it to be so good. Like I’m soooo waiting for the sequel where they are getting married and Macy is pregnant jus sayin. Thanks for listening to my Ted talk

7. A comfort book - I absolutely love this book and finished it in a day I was so engrossed. Truly it is a book of longing and loving and unspoken words. Elliot is this wonderfully written by a woman man and I will now forever swoon for him. It made me laugh cry and really feel like I was living it out. Couldn’t recommend this book enough.
2022-06-16
8. Devoured it - I finished this book in literally one night after searching high and low to find it in stores, only to find out it’s sold out everywhere in my city…and for good reason!! This book is SO good. The alternating timelines make it impossible to stop reading it, and it’s so well written that you don’t mind reading more. Ms. Lauren you have outdone yourself!
2021-12-30
9. Such a beautiful yet heart breaking story. - subtle spoiler I have to say, this book really took me by surprise. I did NOT expect most of the events that were revealed at the end of the story. The book is split alternating between the past and present, which gives an interesting twist to how the story plays out. I loved Macy and Elliots beginning and how it came about, but man the crazy twist that is revealed broke my heart. And then the author swooped in and picked up the pieces and glued them all back together. I do wish though, that there was a little more on their life afterwards. The writing was good, you could really feel the emotions between the characters. Character Development wasn’t as good as other books I have read, but it works for this sweet story. please read! You might cry, I did, multiple times.
2020-03-21
10. Love & other words - After reading many of the entertaining series by CL I was pleasantly surprised to find this sweet story...becoming invested in Macy’s journey and then Elliots too. Intermittent flashbacks helped unfold the parallel between the teen and adult love story perfectly. And I appreciated the depth to the main characters in that they were all relatable. I too felt the book went too quickly-a compliment to the writing.

1. Heartwarming story - Four and a half Stars Secretly Yours by Tessa Bailey is her first book in the Vine Mess series about life in a California vineyard. This steamy opposites attract story is the perfect start to a wonderful new series. Story Recap:
Hallie Welch had a crush on Julian Vos ever since he almost kissed her when she was only fourteen years old. Now, she’s been hired to plant flowers around the guest house he’s staying in at his family's winery. Julian can’t take his eyes off Hallie as she digs around his garden. Julian is a professor on sabbatical to write a book at his family's winery in Napa, California. He’s guarded and focused on his book. Hallie is the opposite, she’s a bit of a mess but in a good way. She’s fun and outgoing, even if ‘s still grieving her grandmothers’ death deep inside underneath her bright exterior. Will this grumpy sunshine romance work out? Or will Julian go back to his university position alone? My Thoughts: Tessa Baily is such a talented author. I loved these characters, especially Hallie. She’s a bit of a mess, but also a force to be reckoned with! She’s grieving her grandmother’s recent death, but that doesn’t stop her from being her usual outgoing self. And grumpy Julian is still hot, and sexy even if he doesn’t talk much. As with most of her books, Secretly Yours is a bit steamy which is either good or bad depending if you like that or not. But, it’s also a slow burn, so it takes a while to get to the steamy bits. Secretly Yours is a fun, light book, and the start of a promising new series set in wine country. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. Recommendation: I highly recommend Secretly Yours to anyone who enjoys romance. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

2. Meh. - You lost me at year old virgin with perfect curves and gorgeous blonde hair. It’s not like I’m looking for a lot of reality in my romcom fiction but come on. -year-old Virgin isn’t sexy anyway. Not to any women I know. The plot had potential, and I really enjoyed the flawed hero, although his dirty talk could use a lot of work. As a character I like him. I like her too. So, good concept, needed a much better editor and a better idea of who the audience is. Sometimes it’s just way too obvious when an author is writing out their own personal fantasy without talk to you more universal appeal.

3. I was expecting more WOW - I love TB, she is my favorite author but this just didnt do it for me. I was expecting something greater and with more pizzaz than Julian and Hallie. It was almost methodical the way Julian though which was a bit annoying, like text book reading but wanting to shake said book into making some sense. Looking forward to Unfortunately Yours, i think that book will be better.

4. Stars!! - Stars! Cute read! This is the first book in the new series ‘A Vine Mess’ by Tessa Bailey and can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed this book, especially the ‘sexy time’ scenes - soooo hot! The main characters are Julian and Hallie and they are total opposites. He’s very structured & regimented while she is haywire & very ‘fly by the seat of your pants’. At first I started to think Julian might be somewhat autistic with how seriously he took his time management, but he seems to get better throughout the book. I smiled throughout a lot of this story, some of the things that go on and what they say just had me wanting to be apart of the friend group. I’d probably become BFF’s with Hallie, her best friend Lavinia & Julian’s sister Natalie, if they were real people! I’d say this is an opposites attract, secret crush, second chance all rolled into one. I do love me a good Tessa Bailey read! I’d definitely recommend this book & I really can’t wait for the next book in the series!
I received this at no charge & I voluntarily left this review.

1. So so annoying- don’t waste your time - The main character, Olivia, got on my nerves so much. She acted so immature, refused to apologize for anything, and was so predictably clumsy and dumb that it wasn’t even realistic. Other books by this author were really good, but this is one to skip! I didn’t even finish the book
2023-03-23
2. Don’t waste your time or money. - Truly such a bad read. Weirdly paced and annoyingly written. The dialogue is weird and doesn’t flow. I would have stopped reading after chapters but I wanted to get my moneys worth. Too bad I lost brain cells reading the rest. Olivia is so annoying not just as a character but so badly written. The book depends on a bunch of romance cliches but they’re all strung together with nothing but boring, unrelated text. At a certain point I was just skimming because any information I got on these shallow characters either didn’t matter or made me hate them more. I can’t even fully describe everything I dislike about this book but this isn’t even the beginning of it. I was hopeful because the premise sounded cool but it was a waste. And if you’re thinking maybe you can just push through for the spice, it’s still not worth it. The characters, the writing, and the plot are all so poorly executed I can’t believe I finished this book.

3. Read it twice .. back to back - This book was so good.. better that good… awesome!!!
I loved the characters and the banter between them was so funny, sexy and hot. I knew the dark cloud of discovery was around the corner … and it was awesome. Great characters and passion.
Read it you will love it

1. Absolutely incredible - I was skeptical when I bought the book because I normally don’t like books set in academia, but my friends who’ve read it said to give it a shot. From the first chapter I was already in love with the book and by chapter it quickly reached into one of my top five favorite books of all time.
2023-02-11
2. Nice romance in the science scene - I liked the setting and characters of the story. A pretend relationship turned to a real one was the reason why I read this novel. But one thing I didn’t like was their first love making felt awkward and complicated with talk. Definitely not like other romance novel scenes.
2023-01-16
3. The ending ): - I absolutely loved this book. The characters are my absolute favorite!! I had to go back a reread my favorite parts before reading the end because it was too good. When I finally let myself get to the final pages it just ended… like at the very best part. The epilogue also felt like an afterthought. I was left with needing so much more communication and emotion from them at the end. I am still not over it and probably never will be. Brb crying for the ending we deserve!!! Still giving stars because of how much I just loved them together. Adam and Olive’s monologues are chefs kiss.

4. One day - I really like this book the romance, the relationship between Adam and Olive LOVE IT but I thin that It would be so cool if they were the one “talking”…. Like one chapter Adam and one Olive that way you can read the different perspective Idk but it was good I read this in just one day
2022-10-18
5. Favorite Book of the Year - Maybe it’s the science nerd in me but this was one of my favorite books I’ve read this year along with Daisy Jones and The Six. This book was laugh out loud funny, gave me chills knowing what Olive’s career wins feel like, and the romance will make you ugly cry. Never wanted this book to end!
2022-10-15
6. TOTALLY RECOMMEND - This book send me through so much emotions. I loved the way the author describes the way everything happens, how every single character is shaped. They are all unique- Olive is the sweetest and Adam is just WOW. If you want to read something that light that will bright up your day you should totally read this book. I enjoyed every. Single. Word.

7. The book that made me fall in love with reading again. - This book was nothing short of absolutely amazing. The build up, the passion between the characters, and the storyline was perfect. I hadn’t read for a long time because I didn’t know what I wanted to read or where I wanted to start and then I borrowed this from a friend and I’ve been chasing the high that this book gave ever since. SO IMPRESSED. It kept me interested literally from start to finish. This makes me swoon.

1. More than just a romance… - This book really snuck up on me. I think I was expecting more of a straight up romance, but it was so much more. The way the different relationships unfold made for a very compelling read. There were moments I laughed out loud, and others where I cried. I rarely do that with books, especially not with books that seem so lighthearted, at least at first glance.

2. lost for words - This book ….. when I first started the book I didn’t know if I was going to like it. I soon realized that I was going to fall in love with this book. Normally when I read a book I’m exited to be finished so that I can read a new book, this was not the case with this book. I have never been in a book slump or not been able to read but that book can put you in a bad book slump. CHARLIE LASTRA is one of my favorite book guys he is amazing. Nora amazing. Libby…. Every time I read Libby’s name it reminded me of Lilly bloom and in a way Lilly and Libby are similar so I always just imagined her as lily and it kinda hurt. BUT OTHER THAN THAT THIS BOOK IS MY TOP .

3. I sobbed - Okay did I think this book would be more open scenes yes. Did I hate it ? No, the opposite in fact. I was a crying mess on my flight as I read this novel. The first pages were so dynamic and made me fall in love with the characters. The themes in this book pulled at my heart strings. Unfortunately this book was a little too relatable at time. So it spun me back into the time I had to let go of my love for my college partner. Ahh I could literally burst into tears. Also the sister relationship in this book was wonderfully written and so real. Ah I love it! I can’t wait to re read the book already :)!

4. Why Stars? - I don’t know… people seem to live this book so very much. I did enjoy it a lot. It’s well-written, the characters are fun, the love story enthralling, but somehow I found myself skimming certain parts in the last third of the book. I couldn’t feel empathy for the sister drama. Which felt weird… like… why don’t I feel something??? The ending though was lovely to read. And who are we kidding? I can’t wait to watch the movie that comes out of this!

5. mothereffing stars - I have read Emily Henry’s other books and I was not impressed. But this one I was pleasantly surprised by. I just have so much to say but won’t because that’ll take up so much time. So I’ll just say the bare minimum. I was rooting for Nora the whole book. I absolutely love her so much. (Not as much as Charlie, no one can love Nora as much as Charlie. Wait Libby can but that’s besides the point) she was just so misunderstood and for good reason. She was an onion and you really had to peel those layers very slowly to understand her and why she is the way she is. She and Charlie had chemistry that leaped off the page! They were electric. The banter was so delicious. I could not put this book down, genuinely. The relationship between Libby and Nora was so deep and complicated. It evoked such emotion. I cried a bit while reading this.

6. A Realistic yet story worthy Love Story - Love story’s are always soured for me by the helpless and quite frankly pathetic girl always looking for a man. She’s nothing without him- Ewww. This book was refreshingly wonderful. A strong female lead. Real life issues and an equally wonderful plot. LOVED!!! A love story everyone can enjoy :)

7. Perfect summer read!! - Oh my goodness have I been waiting for a book like this. Loved the story line, the dialogue and quips were off the hook. I couldn’t stop cracking up at the banter between Nora and Charlie. What really charmed me is the mention of Charlies struggles as a child and the nod to his ADHD mind. It mentioned the struggle but also the beauty of it and it’s “super power” of hyper focus. It is one of the first books I’ve run across that understands and embraces it so well. The fact that the characters name is Charlie, which is the same as my son who also has this neuro divergency, just hit home. It is the perfect summer read but also has the perfect chemistry of follow your dreams as well as your heart. My favorite of hers yet!

8. Heart warming! - This book kept me wanting more! Everything about this book we’ve heard and seen before, but this author’s voice makes it feel brand new! You can’t help but begin to feel desperate for the Stephens to be happy, to have peace. Every character mentioned had a history, a true presence and an offer of a happy future. There are no characters that feel left hanging in the wind. An excellent, complete and romantic novel that I’ll definitely be reading again!

9. In New York - Somehow Emily Henry makes these pieces so full of life, emotion, romance, real life pieces and makes it mean so much more than black ink on a page. So many emotions cross through you while embarking on the journey of the Stephen sisters and the one and only Charlie. Glad I turned the page on this story and did not read the end first.

10. It’s good but…..repetitive - This book should be a star, but by golly if I have to hear Nora “I have to protect her” one more time about her GROWN, HAPPILY MARRIED sister, I may gag. I mean we GET IT. Nora has baggage, but boy do they repeat it over and over and over and over again. Loved Charlie and loved Nora when she wasn’t going on and on about the same thing. Like girl, WE GET IT.

1. I don’t like Oliver - Oliver has Anger Issues, I don’t like her. How can see get mad at Leo for trying to find out about her after he asked her over and over about herself and she refused to tell him anything. And he is stupid for letting a stranger move in and work for his company and he knows nothing about her. I don’t like the way this writer tell stories.
2021-10-07
2. Dragged on - This book was just filler and pretty boring. As I stated in my review of the first book in the series, there are story errors. The name of Olivia’s home town changed from book one to book two. In book one, Olivia bought a blue dress for the charity event from Linda during the first shopping, along with an entire wardrobe. Later Olivia bought a red dress for the charity event as if she hadn’t already bought a dress, and bought another dress for a dinner as if she hadn’t bought any others. My biggest complaint in both books is all the drinking and driving. That is not okay. The author blew it because instead of reinforcing the image of smart, responsible professionals, driving drunk just makes Leo and Olivia seem stupid, irresponsible, and dangerous.

1. I want my . back - This book was lacking for me :( lacking with romance and intimacy for a couple that plays hard to get/ “enemies” their inevitable union is underwhelming . Also the reactions from some of the character are weak , not enough just didn’t to a good place, I have read WAY better rom com stories for less $ . I won’t be reading this author again. It was a struggle to finish the book about / of the way through - skip this book and find a better option

1. A fun, light read, like a hug - If you like Gilmore Girls, Alex and Poppy are have Luke and Lorelai vibes. I truly believe that if you read this book at the right moment it will feel like a hug for you. I’m not a romance reader, but I do love the friends to lovers trope. Alex and Poppy are such opposites and Emily Henry does a wonderful, seamless job at showing their chemistry.

2. slow burn,,,but so freakin worth it. - This is the first book i have ever read by Emily Henry, and let me tell you not the freakin last. I have only read a couple of books where the author is able to transport you inside the characters lives so perfectly ( I’ll give you the sun , evelyn Hugo ). Emily Henry was able to make me dream about these characters, anticipating every next chapter, ever next moment with these characters lives. By the end we’re shown how our unsaid words, and feelings can plague our time and happiness with someone who’s worth it in the end. Also we definitely have an opposite trope in this, and who just doesn’t love reading about our missing puzzle piece in this world.

3. Great Story… - I don’t often take the time to write book reviews, but that was fantastic. For me, it was one of those books that you love so well you get a little frustrated at the end when the ads come up for other books. You just aren’t quite ready to move on yet, or even consider other book characters.
Clearly, I loved it.

4. People We Meet On Vacation - It always starts out as friends, doesn't it? Well..that's what they say. In Henry's second book, that seems to be the case: I love that Poppy (forgot her last name) and Alex Nilsen started out their relationship as friends; then I liked learning that their friendship turned out to be complicated when it is insinuated that they have romantic feelings for one another; and I enjoyed the slow-burn romance for sure as they got closer together---in the past and in the recent chapters. This book is one of my favorites.

5. For when you want to meet absolutely no one on vacation! - This was a cute little story I read while traveling. It’s perfect for zoning out on an air plane, and it makes you feel warm and fuzzy despite being sandwiched in the middle seat of a . Highly recommend for all of your cutesy rom-com travel needs.

6. Wow. No words. - Wow, wow, wow. This book has my whole heart. I fell in LOVE with the characters. The build up of Alex and Poppy’s friendship is what made me fall in love with this book. It was such a fun read. I was so interested in each summer trip, and the platonic relationship they had, and then it becoming a relationship-relationship. I felt like I was truly experiencing their friendship moments WITH THEM. It’s like whenever you have a funny moment with your friend(s), and you wish you had a TV show to rewatch it. That’s what it felt like. My new FAVORITE BOOK, and I’ve read a LOT of books. Read. it. now.

7. This book was like a warm hug - I LOVED this book! It wasn’t just about love, it was also about growing up and navigating the world. As a person in their s, I also found myself feeling lost or constantly running from my problems. This book allows the reader to fully process their own emotions through the eyes of Poppy & Alex. So beautiful.

8. So good! - If you love quirky rom-coms that will make you laugh, cry and blush through the steamy parts, this book is totally for you! The plot is very simple yet there are so many layers within this beautiful friendship between the two main characters that will make you fall in love with this book. I definitely can see myself re-reading this story over and over again. It is one of those light hearted romance reads but with enough drama and depth to it that makes it such a page -turner. I highly recommend this book!

9. Aw - What a cute little love story!
This book is not at all what I expected — as in, i absolutely misjudged the cover. I do that often and probably won’t stop. People We Meet on Vacation is a love story told from Poppy’s eyes. The whole plot alternates between “This Summer” and her re-telling of various trips during summers past all the while acquainting the reader to Poppy and her best friend, Alex. Each chapter builds on their character and highlights their truly unique bond as friends. The scenic description and hilarious banter between the two made me laugh aloud and fall in love with them a little more each time. You know an author has done well if you ever feel you want a specific character in your life. I wanted both these people in my life. A lot. Given my wild imagination, reading a book is like watching a movie for me. I know the pattern…all is well, things intensify, things are great, something happens, it all comes crashing down, and finally it gets resolved. I hate the crash EVERY SINGLE TIME. It was no different with this book. I was vehemently upset every time the story jumped back in time, despite knowing that it was for the better and that I would not be disappointed. Every chapter was a treasure on its own, but that didn’t keep me from wanting more of their friendship at present time. I truly enjoyed the book enough to give it five stars, but I’m restraining because this isn’t some literary masterpiece that I’ll take with me for the ages. In all honestly, I’m a sucker for Hallmark movies and that’s what this book feels like. Cried my eyes out at the end and highlighted some things I’m going to go whisper at my fiancé so he loves me for life.

10. I don’t even know - Okay. So, I liked the first half of the book, but god, the second half I cringed so badly through the other half of this book. Yes, the first half wasn’t perfect but it was still like acceptably unrealistic. The second half was just like a straight out romcom which makes sense as this book is inspired by When Sally met Harry. If I had known that fact before, I would avoided of losing so much of my happiness. Anyways, if you are a fan of romcoms, you will love this book.

1. Great start to a new series! - Great start to a new series! This book had it all! An amazing alpha dirty talking hero and a strong feisty heroine that comes off sweet and shy, but don’t let her fool you. Sway and Parts banter was awesome and a great source of entertainment. This book was funny, it was sweet, the characters had chemistry that was scorching! It was so captivating I couldn’t put it down. Hancock “Parts” Peters is a catcher for his professional baseball team and is known as short tempered, tattooed and one of the sexiest players in MLB! He doesn’t put up with anyone’s crap and he really doesn’t put up with anyone disrespecting women. He is so swoon worthy! I loved his character! Sway is the head athletic trainer for Parts team. It is a job that she was very qualified for and she was good at her job. She was harassed because of her curvy body and not taken seriously by a few people. She was able to hold her own and with Parts on her side, she could do anything. I don’t want to give anything away as I want you to experience this terrific story for yourself. I absolutely loved the characters, storyline, humor and all the hot scenes between Parts and Sway. If you love sports romance, pick up this book! I promise you won’t regret it!

2. Perfection - Absolutely, love this cover it couldn't be any more perfect! I always fall in love with Lani Lynn Vale's characters and Pitch Please was no different. Her writing is addictive and you become attracted to not only the two main characters but all of the supporting characters as well. Hancock "Parts" Peters is complete Alpha on and off the field, he does what he wants and nothing else & nobody questions that because he is the starting catcher and all-star of the team! Underneath it all, he is just a good southern boy with a dirty mouth! Sway Coffman is the athletic trainer who has baseball in her blood. She is confident and innocent all wrapped up in the perfect curvy package. I love how they had an instant connection but it builds over a quick friendship, their relationship doesn't seem rushed it just seems real...even if it only took them weeks to form an everlasting bond! Pitch Please was a great start to what I assume will be another standout series by Lani Lynn Vale! I can't wait to see who story will be revealed next...Connor's (fingers crossed)! Oh yeah, and I am hoping that Hannibal has a story coming! Favorite Quotes:
"As long as you're with me, baby, I can handle just about anything."

3. SO GOOD! - I love everything about a good sports book, especially when it has a lot of the sport in it. Another part that makes it even better is when the girl also knows about the sport, it makes everything so genuine! And that is what these characters were. Hancock and Sway were so genuine and unique! First thing, of course, is their spark. We immediately know that Sway has always liked Hancock, but was also immediately see the spark between them. This is so important in a plot and Lani did it so well! Second, is how different Sway is. I love that she isn't your normal female lead, she's sassy and she's a curvy girl. What is not to love?!?!? And we can all appreciate how Hancock likes those specific things about her. There is also quite a contrast between Sway and Hancock, it makes things so interesting. I found myself really addicted to this book, I got it done almost in one shot too. Lani did so well in keeping me hooked, and I mean hooked, line, sinker! Her characters were real, unique and so interesting! Between that and the real emotions we felt while reading I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read more of Lani's work!

1. Love love love it!! - Oh my gosh! I hated to see this story end. The Sheridan brothers are dreams come true and Dylan doesn’t disappoint! He’s just as caring and thoughtful as Logan and Ryan were in their stories. I didn’t want to put this down. I love seeing the family dynamics of the Sheridans and the end is so heartwarming. I wish there were more brothers so we had more stories to read!!I’m hoping the Aloha series is just as good. I haven’t been disappointed with any of Kate’s books so I’m looking forward to reading about the Sheridan cousins next! Keep writing Kate!

1. Best in the two book series - I’ve read this back to back times. I do recommend reading “It Happened One Summer” the first book in the series first. Although, I didnt do this and read this as a stand alone first. I believe it is amazing both ways, but the first book has a bonus chapter that totally adds to the experience of the book. Absolutely in love this these two books together. Gah! Swooning each time I read this book.

2. Really cute read. - I really enjoyed learning about Fox’s character arc. It wasn’t as spice as ‘It Happened One Summer’ however reading about how Fox pines after Hannah is pretty cute and makes for a great soft romance story. I would love to read more about the sisters because I love both of their characters.

3. It’s alright… - Definitely not her one of her best ones… I had to keep putting this one away to go reread some of her other stories for the passion and plot. Then I got all of the alerts about this being a quick Netflix romcom and that’s when it made sense these two stories are quick throw aways. Amazing for Netflix (it’s Tessa Bailey duh) but for the price and what this author has to offer with their other stories? Not worth it. I would pick up one of the alpha stories or runaway girl before this. Seriously. It. Was. Slow. As. F$/?)@

4. MUST READ!!! - Man!! I LOVED It Happened One Summer but this was by far the better of the two. I am so happy that this book was able to be adapted from characters in the previous book. Read in one day and it was definitely worth it. Normally epilogues aren’t page turners but this one had me crying happy tears late into the night. Definitely worth the buy!

5. Such a great love story - I liked It Happened One Summer, but I LOVED Hook, Line, and Sinker!! It was such a good, slow, beautiful love story that had me wrapped in it and unable to put it down. I have to admit, I was reluctant to read it, and kept putting it off, because often the sequels of these romance novels aren’t as good. But I was so pleasantly surprised. Team Hannah and Fox!!

6. So good - I just reread it for the third time, and I cried just as much as the first. Like violently sobbing in bed at a.m. This book is so good and deserves so much. I personally liked it better than It Happened One Summer. The vibes are good. It makes me so sad and so happy and so sad. Read it. Now.

7. Fun, amazing characters - Production assistant Hannah recommends the quaint fishing village where her late father grew up as the ideal location for the film she's working on. While there, she bunks with her totally platonic friend Fox, who's got a reputation as an incorrigible ladies' man. Which is fine, because she's trying to hook up with the film's director. She and Fox are just friends. Except for the super inconvenient sensual tension that neither one of them can seem to resist. And a drunken kiss they can't forget. Okay, fine, they have a thing for each other, but they live in different states and don't want to ruin their friendship. The longer Hannah stays, though, the more she and Fox want more from the relationship. Can they find a way to make it work? If you enjoyed IT HAPPENED ONE SUMMER, you'll definitely want to read this book. And if you didn't read the first book in the series, go and read that one first. You don't have to, because this one stands alone, but the reading experiences are similar and you'll enjoy the series more if you read the books in order. Hannah and Fox are fun, amazing characters. They both underestimate themselves, and through their friendship, they come to realize they're already the person they aspire to be—they just need to believe in themselves. This book really nails the friends-to-lovers trope: the camaraderie, the sensual tension, the unwillingness to jeopardize one of the best relationships in their lives. This couple is well-matched, with complementary qualities but also a willingness to grow together. Plus, the sensuality between them is off the charts. There are also charming side characters that make the novel even more endearing. The audiobook narration added to the enjoyment of the story. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

8. . Stars! - Can I just jump straight to the epilogue and tell you that it totally made me swoon??? Seriously, every romance novel should end on a note like this one did. All the struggle this couple went through to get that ending was so worth it. Fox and Hannah have a friends to lovers story that was also a slow burn. You can see that they both are attracted to each other, and they both have some obstacles standing in their way. Fox's was a bit of a surprise for me. He's the ultimate good looking guy who doesn't have to try for attention. He gets it with his looks alone. You'd think that would be what every guy wants, but not Fox. We got a good look into how even being extremely good looking can have a downside to it. Hannah put her issues perfectly in this book. She see's herself as the supporting actress in life, never the leading lady. What she doesn't know is that to Fox, she is the leading lady. I adored Fox and Hannah's friendship. It was a great foundation to building more between them. I think it's also why I loved that epilogue so much. Great read!

9. Stars! - Stars! This is book in the ‘Bellinger Sisters’ series and can be read as a standalone. I missed book and would’ve liked to know how the main characters met and got their nicknames but it wasn’t anything I absolutely needed to know before reading this one. This was a really cute read. However, I couldn’t really get into the book because I thought the main male character, Fox, had stupid hang ups about relationships. I kept thinking “seriously? Get over it already man!” and I couldn’t get past that. I kept waiting for Hannah, the main female, to say something to that extent but she has the patience of a saint! Ha! Still an entertaining book though.
I received this book at no charge & I voluntarily left this review.

1. Loved it!!! - It did kinda have a slow start and a few cheesy and cringy moments (but what story doesn’t have that. Lol ), in my opinion. But the rest was amazing!!! I loved each character. I wish someone like Aaron would come into my life . I really liked Catalina too, even though she did frustrate me at times. Reading about he family reminded me of my family in a way. It was very warm hearted, cutely funny rom-com. A very intense one too . I really enjoyed reading it overall.

2. A M A Z I N G - Such a good book! The characters were well developed for sure! Of course reading it, you knew it was going to be a predictable ending BUT, it wasn’t. There was so many turns in the end I wasn’t sure how I felt about any of it! Can’t wait to read the next one . I’d even love a book two

3. Characters you fall in love with… - I don’t know why I was so hesitant to read this, and one chapter in, I was already annoyed at myself for waiting so long. I typically don’t love enemies-to-lovers as a trope, as it has to be done very specifically & done very well to not put me off (personally). This one was perfect. It was lengthy, but never felt drawn out. Ironically, halfway through, I thought it wasn’t going to feel like enough, but it was just enough to be perfect. Aaron was surprisingly cheesy in certain moments/monologues, but he had just enough charisma & calm to balance it out. Loved it!

4. Still searching for the hype… - It’s not that I hated this book, I just really didn’t feel the chemistry between our main characters until wayyyy later. Truthfully, enemies-to-lovers isn’t my favorite trope, but I’ve read several lately that I still enjoyed. There were several funny parts, but I’m still left wanting. And, oddly enough, I wouldn’t mind a sequel where they head back to Spain, maybe to get married— I think that could be a fun, interesting story! But I had a hard time with this one until ish% in, which most people give up by that point… I wouldn’t recommend against this book, but I won’t be shouting about it from the roof tops.

5. Wattpad story turned published book - My book club decided to read this, and when we started, I didn’t understand why our first checkpoint was chapters... and now I do It’s very hard to get invested in the beginning, lol. The language gives off strong fan fiction vibes, and there’s a couple cringe-worthy moments that definitely made me roll my eyes. Overall, however, I thought it was cute :) It’s a slow burn, so be warned, but Lina and Aaron’s dynamic is adorable and the characters are really cheeky and relatable /

6. Phenomenal! - Ahhh where do I start?? This has to be the best book I’ve read so far. The characters are relatable and there wasn’t one cringe moment that I’ve seen in past romance novels. I don’t know a lick of Spanish and the author did so well to accommodate that. I can’t recommend this book enough!
2022-02-13
7. Oof - I saw TikToks about this and blindly bought it, could barely get through the first chapter :( very cringy middle school watt pad energy. Main character is an “omg stahpppp I’m so small! I can’t reach!!” Kind of gal and is petty and insecure. Love interest is toxic and annoying. BFF is timid and annoying also
2022-02-07
8. This book is a dream - Lina and Aaron are the dream team, I devoured this book and I absolutely adore it! Aaron Blackford is. the. man. It should be a crime to write a man like this! His open heart, honesty, loyalty, thoughtfulness, adoring, determined man… ugh… he is forever in my top boyfriends. This book checked so many boxes for me and I was flying through it. I loved all the early interactions and connections between Lina and Aaron… this is a slow burn that pays off in spades. The chemistry is off the CHARTS. While the set up is LONG, it is executed beautifully. I also loved the wedding scenes… and that the side characters did not engulf our leads and their time together. This story was developed with such care and detail, I appreciate it so much, it feels like a love letter to romance readers!!! My only complaint (and again I adored this book so I am OK with it) was the long ending, it got a little messy the last few chapters and the dialogue was too much (Lina stumbled and repeated herself)… but gosh did I ever look forward to their dialogue with each other! And I did actually love the way they brought more of Aaron in at the end with his dad and how much he loved being around Lina’s family. This was such a sweet touch, and could have been woven in earlier. So I think just a tighter end, less stumbling would have been icing on the cake! RUN and Go read this book, you will fall in love!!!!
2021-12-30
9. Frustrating Writing - Very small spoilers below I usually love these kind of books but something about Lina and the writing just made me so uninterested. The author would repeat certain phrases soo many times (“I almost fell to the floor…” “ocean eyes” “he was about to be my boss” “smile just for me” etc). Lina would also question if Aaron had feelings for her constantly and then in the next sentence acted as if it was completely impossible for Aaron to feel that way, that she MUST have been imagining it. Which is so exhausting. Like the author thinks we’re dumb and needs Lina to point out to the reader that “Hey!!! Aaron caressing her arm means that he probably likes Lina, but I still want it to be a slow burn at this point so she can’t believe the very thing that she is thinking!!!” Idk if this made any sense but yeah frustrating lol

1. Hey, Siri, find me apartments for lease in Westport, WA - Let’s all just pretend for a moment that someone my age is supposed to read this book, and get passed our differences. It seems that, for some reason, I’m always traveling when I read a romance series that makes me want to chuck it into the nearest body of water. Unlucky for “It Happened One Summer” I was staying about meters away from a lake in Scotland. Sadly, my brother beat me to it, and now my pages smell like hot-chocolate. Anyways, lets talk about how insufferable Tessa Bailey is when it comes to climax’s. And NO, I don’t mean the ones that happened about . trillion times in this book. I mean the literary climax, AKA when everything starts crashing down like a pile of fine china that was stacked way too high. So, the book has some build up to the climax, but it is so sprinkled and untouched that the actual climax seems almost… too abrupt? This might just be me, but when finishing this book on a train to London, my nails were creating creases in my palm. And I know that many call this good writing, so do I, but I still felt like I wasn’t worried enough before hand. I recommend Tessa Bailey to whoever wants a good ending… and I mean one that will make you stare into space, questioning your life choices to the point where you wonder if you’ve ever passed up someone as hot as Brendan Taggart. I didn’t cry, but my mom swore there was steam coming out of my ears. Characterization:

2. Didn’t love the characters. - This book just wasn’t my favorite. I honestly didn’t like the main characters. I love how there is someone out there for everyone and opposites attract and all, but I just didn’t love them. Sad, I know! Brenden was a bit obsessed with Piper even only after days of meeting her. It could have been romantic, but it sounded a bit forced. On the other hand, Piper acted like a year old instead of year old adult. I know that was the point of her just being this overprivileged child, but she kind of seemed one dimensional toward the middle of the book. Honestly it could have been the beanie that threw me off from the get go Lol.

3. Amazing - I LOVED ! LOVED ! this book so dang much ! I could not put it down I did not go to sleep until AM the NEXT day and then took a hour nap and woke up just to read AGAIN ! This book is amazing , it’s so dang amazing . It’s just amazing ! I felt like i was watching a movie and screaming at the screen the whole time ! I moved . I laughed , I cried , I screamed , I almost broke my face by smiling so dang much . It’s a wondering book , just wondering ! I was praying that this book didn’t have a female walk away from happiness like all the other romantic books and it didn’t and i loved that ! instead it had the girl fight for happiness , fight for what she wanted with the fears involved . Oh , Oh i’ve loved it ! I’ve absolutely, positively , loved it . Oh .

4. A- MAZE- ING - Just finished and it’s a / read. The plot is good and really easy to follow. A great love story that makes your heart so happy. Something happens and your heart hurts in chapters and but chapter glues it back together. The spicy scenes are the right amount of spicy and not unrealistic. Will definitely have your heart racing in more places than your chest! But over all / reccomend

5. Excellent! - I can’t say enough good things about this book. Sweet, funny, hot, sentimental, witty and romantic are just a few of the adjectives I would use to describe it. The storyline (a seemingly spoiled and shallow socialite is forced to spend three months in the hometown of her long deceased father, and she finds love there while discovering herself) is heads above what is typically found in this genre. All of the main and supporting characters are uniformly interesting and capture our hearts.
Tessa Bailey, keep writing them like this.

6. Great first book of Duology…I think that’s the word for a two book series lol - It was good. I really enjoyed this one. Felt like their romance gradually deepened. Main girl Piper was alright. I think I got annoyed at Hollywood lifestyle and behavior but she grew on me throughout the book. Brendan is hot but I felt he was lacking. Really grumpy to Piper’s sunshine. But he was fine overall. I gave it stars out of .

7. I couldn’t put it down! - This book is literally so amazing! It was almost as if I was reading a dirty Hallmark But seriously, I read this book all in one day and I will probably do it many more times. It kept my attention, my emotions, and my heart for the short few hours it was in my hand. You won’t regret reading this!

8. Growly hero! - This book was such a surprise for me. I admit to judging the first couple chapters to be the typical enemies to lovers trope. I've read so many lately that sometimes they just blend into one book. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that while it started out that way, there was nothing typical about Piper and Brendan. It didn't take long for these two to stand out and make me love them. For a spoiled rich girl, Piper was extremely likable. I really enjoyed that she wasn't typical for the roll she was slated too. Yes she had a superficial lifestyle, but when she was put the to the test, she excelled better than I would have. She had spunk. She was kind. She drew strangers and made them feel special. She's exactly the kind of heroine I can root for. Brendan started out very growly, gruff, and even rude at first. And I loved every bit of his fall to Piper. The moment he decided he wasn't going to fight it, she didn't have a chance. No woman would. I adored how he pursued her. These two shouldn't have fit so well but they were perfect for each other. This is one of those books that had me smiling so big when I finished it. I really enjoyed it and I hope the sisters book will be just as good.

9. Favorite read of so far! - Hysterical, steamy, and heartfelt enemies to lovers. I was hooked from the very start, and the chemistry between Piper and Brendan was off the charts! I really loved the character development and how both Piper and Brendan grew on their own and together through the book. Highly recommend this one! I was sent an ARC prior to release in exchange for my honest review.

1. TAKES FOREVER - I’m halfway through and literally I’m so bored! The characters are interesting but this whole story has been dragging on and on! Not to mention the fact that it’s filled with horribly cliche gags and interactions. And don’t even get me started on the essay long inner dialogue she characters have. UGH I wish I hadn’t wasted my money!

1. Started off good… - This is the first book in awhile that caught my attention, and I was really excited to get wrapped up in this novel. Unfortunately, as the storyline progressed, the author felt the need to get more and more “woke.” Sadly, about three quarters of the way in, I won’t be finishing. Waste of money.

2. Amazing - Ugh she’s done it again by far she’s my favorite writer the ups and downs of these books never fail to make me laugh and cry and fall in love all at once, this book was so incredibly good and I fell in love with bee’s character and her story line, probably gonna recommend to all of my friends, please please read it, it’s so good

3. A Brainy Romance - Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood was one of my most anticipated reads of and once again, I was not disappointed. There is a reason that romantic comedy is one of my favorite genres and Love on the Brain is one of the reasons. I just loved the mix of humor, emotion, and readability. Bee Königswasser is over the moon at getting a job at NASA working on a neuroengineering project until she learns that she will have to co-lead the project with her graduate school nemesis, Levi Ward. She doesn’t want to see Levi again, she knows he hates her, but she needs this project for her resume so she can finally get away from her job, and her horrible boss. Bee goes ahead and takes the job as she also needs to get away from her ex-fiance who broke their engagement recently. She knows she can ignore Leve, but can she? The project seems doomed as soon as she gets there, no email, missing equipment, and no support from NASA, and she’s starting to believe she’s being sabotaged. Is it Levi? Or someone else? Ali Hazlewood is back with her STEM characters and her signature humor. I love a book with a brainy heroine, and Love on the Brain fits that perfectly. Bee is quirky and unique without being over the top. And Levi is a wonderful hero. A bit dark and broody, but with a heart of gold. This is an enemies-to-lovers trope, and it’s got a You Got Mail vibe as the two main characters correspond via Twitter without knowing who they are DMing. Both Bee and Levi have some serious baggage they must overcome, and there is a bit of miscommunication in the beginning, but it’s believable. Every interaction they have is just wonderful, from witty banter to swoony tender moments, this couple is everything I want in a rom-com couple. I found the pacing of the book perfect, I was pulled right in from the beginning and I didn’t put this down until I read the very last word. If you liked The Love Hypothesis, you’ll love Love on the Brain. I highly recommend Love on the Brain by Ali Hazlewood to anyone who enjoys romantic comedies. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

4. Wish it could’ve been better - After reading the love hypothesis, I had very high hopes for this book. I’m not saying it was bad, but it definitely was not good. Most of the troupes in this book are on my “I cannot stand these troupes” list(miscommunication). Not to mention when the protagonist mentioned she was wearing GALAXY LEGGINGS I almost stopped reading completely.

5. Ahh my favorite - This novel was everything I could’ve hoped for and more! The love story between these two is incredible and keeps you wanting to turn to the next page. The level of compassion and love the two characters have is so lovely to read. I also loved Bee’s inner dialogue. And Levi’s love for her is ahhmazing

6. Love - Love! This is your best book Ali! I read it all night- just couldn’t put it down. And I am going to read it again. (Who needs sleep?) Ever so Reylo is one of my favorite writers. There’s something about her writing. I literally read all her stories and books all at once every months. I loved that this was a new story from Ali, and it was so beautifully written. Ali, I need another book soon- I am addicted to your writing!

1. Cute, quick read - I like the way this book explores the issues that Clara and Josh faced and how they came together despite all that. The plot kept me locked in enough such that I think I read this book in days. They are such a cute, nontoxic ship, and they are so soft for each other. And the sex scenes were okay. Though…this book is not a particularly complex read that challenges your inner thoughts or anything. (Note: the part where they do FINALLY have PIV sex was kinda underwhelming) And it is true that the ending felt anticlimactic. Very cutesy though. A cute chance encounter that changed their lives forever.

2. A New Perspective - As a year-old avid reader of spicy books, I found this title to be both surprisingly sexy and brainy. Most books in this genre tend to lack plot, and overflow with sexual innuendo. Where as, this one has a pleasant balance, even with one of its sole focuses being that of an adult performer. It amped up the anticipation to make the metaphorical and physical climax of the story really pack a punch. This was an excellent read!

3. Definitely worth a read! - This is definitely a sex positive book which I think is nice. The chemistry between Josh and Clara is great. Sometimes Clara can be annoying but she definitely grew on me. The spicy scenes are written great a lot of teasing except for when they finally do the do that was a little underwhelming and the only reason I didn’t give stars.

4. cute rom-com - i did enjoy reading this book! i love the sex positivity, the banter between clara & josh, their sexual tensssssion. however i wish there would have been more detail & descriptions in like % of the scenes. i felt like i didn’t even know what clara looked like for a quarter of the book. i did enjoy naomis character and it intrigues me to read the next book in the series.

5. Save your money! - I don’t normally leave reviews, especially bad ones, but this was a chore to get even halfway through, I kept hoping for the main character to become even slightly more like able or relatable, but she stayed pretty consistently horrible. The blushing socialite that’s perfectly slender and lovely and mentions her family name every other sentence, I couldn’t roll my eyes hard enough. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good ol sappy romance, but it’s like she threw every cliche at this thing, slapped a pink cover on it and called it a day. And the biggest affront, it’s TEN freaking dollars! I’ve read better quality free books.

6. Unexpected - Not sure where to start. I guess I’ll start by saying I downed this in one sitting and downed it because I was consumed. It wasn’t damsel in distress but a strong women figuring out what she wants with an equal for a parter. While showcasing that sex is great, normal, and has never been female focused and that has to change. I was turned on, I was anxious, surprised, happy, and my heart ached at times. Best book I’ve read in a while.

7. Funny and swoony - The Roommate by Rosie Danan deserves all the hype. It's one of my favorite romances I've read this year. It's funny, swoony, and extremely sex-positive. It doesn't villainize sex-workers. Clara Wheaton, East Coast trust fund baby from a conservative family, moves to LA, after an invitation from her long time friend and childhood crush, Everrett. She hopes they finally can take their relationship to the next level. Once she arrives in LA, Clara finds out that Everett doesn't plan to stick around in the City of Angels, and she ends up sharing a house with Josh, who is subletting a room from Everett, and who happens to be a famous adult performer (a.k.a a porn star). Sparks fly between Clara and Josh, but they are total opposites. Josh is sex on legs, and Clara has never experienced an orgasm with a man. Not to mention, Clara's scandal-averse family will never accept Josh, and Clara is not planning to disappoint her mother or embarrass her family name. I loved this book, and I adored Clara and Josh together. Also, it was interesting to learn about the adult entertainment industry, with its problems, and the stigma attached to it. I highly recommend this book, especially to those who love opposites attract trope and fans of The Kiss Quotient. ARC provided by the puplisher via Edelweiss.

1. So good! - I truly enjoyed Lennon’s story. She definitely had her challenges personally and professionally. She is a fighter and a go getter. It’s quite sad how people see her especially her family, but in the end Lennon overcame and acknowledged her mistakes. Her lover boy was a charmer, too. There was a surprise twist for Lennon, another family member to bond with. Overall, this is a great story!

1. Ok - Christina Lauren has been on my TBR for awhile but this book is my first. I was drawn in by blurb and the concept. Millie and Reid have been good friends for years. One half-night stand before their friend group decides to give online dating a try to find a date for a work gala definitely blurs the lines but they decide to keep their friendship and forget about the awkwardness. When Millie gets nothing but unpleasant experiences from her online matches, she decides to make a different profile that her friends don't know about. As Catherine she gets matched with Reid. As Reid and Catherine get closer, so do Millie and Reid. The lines were blurred after their first half-night stand and now they can barely see them at all. I love modern retellings of stories so I loved how this one was going to be a kind of blend of The Twelfth Night and Cyrano de Bergerac. I didn't feel like this book lived up to what I thought it was going to be. Maybe that's because I love those two stories or maybe it's because I've built up this author duo a lot but I had to force myself to finish this book. I felt like while Millie and Reid were supposed to be best friends, I couldn't really see why they were friends and it made Millie's actions that much worse. I will definitely still try another book by Christina Lauren since I think this one just wasn't for me. This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy

2. Fun! - What an entertaining group of friends! I loved the main couple but I loved the group of friends just as much. The fact that they all decided to join a dating app so that they would have a plus one for a work event was pretty comical. Sometimes I struggle with a friends to lovers story because you gotta get that transition just right to be believable. I admit, at first I thought things were just a little too easy, but the more we learn about Millie and Reid the more believable these two were. This is the third book I've read from this writing duo and after finishing this book, it made me think about why I've loved all three so much. I realize they have been like a sneak attack. They start out light, funny and very entertaining. Then as the story progresses, I start to see a subtle shift to a more serious side that just pulls me right in. It surprises me to get that serious look into these light and funny characters and I love when a book surprises me. This was a fun story and I can't wait to see what these authors bring next.

1. Such an easy read and I really enjoyed it - I really enjoyed the plot and characters, I honestly couldn’t put it down at some points. It was an easy read and didn’t take me long. Although some of the reviews say the plot was too simple and cliché, I personally wouldn’t agree (I kinda knew what the ending would be) but it was an enjoyable read and I would recommend it.

2. Swept away - I appreciate Amelia Kingston as a writer. For one thing, you don’t notice you’re reading her book, you only notice the story itself which speaks to how well written it is. I’m not talking about grammar and vocabulary which is usually the first thing literary critics would poopoo a work for lacking. There’s a time and place for it. But who doesn’t want to be swept away by a story? I mean, that’s kinda the whole point, right? And Amelia Kingston does that in this book. Another thing I really like about her writing, she makes me laugh and giggle out loud and even gasp in surprise or shock at the heartbreak of a situation or words spoken. That’s something you don’t get from every writer. As someone who has read an ABUNDANCE of books and loves to read, I will be hoping that more of her titles will deliver the same sweeping away as this book accomplished for me. Because in the end, we all want to read the kind of book that will make you turn each page dying to know what will happen next and read the last one with that wonderful feeling of having experienced the the whole journey and wishing it didn’t have to end. Right on, Amelia!

3. So, That Got Weird - While I appreciate how this book reminds readers that real love is unconditional, I found many aspects of the story problematic and stretched my suspension of disbelief, breaking the immersion and undermining the story. There are also a few typos. As a university graduate, pre-med isn’t actually a major, it’s a track that indicates an intent to enter med school, so whether Richard got her major wrong is up in the air. Professors don’t announce perfect scores in the US because grades are supposed to be private. Also, no one succeeding in pre-med has the time to be a gamer, much less be active on the forums and hold league responsibilities on top of it. This is also accounting for the fact that an hour a day to ten hours a week isn’t even remotely excessive, regardless of what Elizabeth says. As a female gamer, “Lizbit” is not a gender neutral name, since more familiar players would call her “Liz” or “Lizzie” as a result and it’s obviously Lisbeth short for Elizabeth. In game group video chat isn’t a thing because it doesn’t benefit gameplay, it’s difficult to moderate, and the number of players that would use it isn’t worth the resources required to implement and maintain it. Even if it were a thing, the fact that it appears to be public, since Austin can infiltrate it, and Elizabeth values her anonymity in and out of game, it doesn’t make sense for her to utilize the feature. She’d be using a third party program which would require getting an invite from someone in the group. Leagues in PC games generally don’t kick you for less than thirty days of inactivity because most players have lives and they wouldn’t be a large guild otherwise, especially since MMO nation builders aren’t popular, and Rule Them All makes it impossible to build a player base given that you can potentially lose all your progress because of a mere week of inactivity. The fact that she’s a seven year veteran and likely one of the larger contributors would grant her additional leeway, so getting dropped shouldn’t be a concern, and even if she did there’s nothing stopping her from simply rejoining. Concerns would make a little more sense if she were playing a mobile game on an emulator, but then the video chat wouldn’t at all. As someone who suffers from anxiety, Elizabeth doesn’t need a sex partner, she needs a therapist. Sex and/or a boyfriend as a solution for anxiety is problematic, and the way writers fetishize mental health like this is disturbing. Jackie’s toxic behavior goes unaddressed whether it’s the in game trolling, the disrespect for boundaries, or the body and virgin shaming. Despite Jackie’s claim, I’m fairly certain there are plenty of people who would love to bed Elijah Wood. This book also seems averse to religion while ironically coming off as preachy at times. I’m also fairly certain there’d be legal ramifications for the illegally obtained evidence and that it wouldn’t be admissible, but I’m not a legal expert. There’s a lot of cursing, a heads-up to those averse.

1. Pretty good apart from the ending - The beginning of the book was great, the writing was good the characters were well composed and I liked seeing their development throughout the book. My only issue it is that the ending was extremely abrupt, it was going nice and slow but then all of a sudden when the book gets out of the flash back, their relationship just speeds up and there is the end.

2. The cuteness is real! - UGH THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!!!!!!! I legit cannot handle the characters cuteness. It was a little odd at first, but the more I read the more I was convinced that this book would be cuter than anything. Now, this book definitely made me defend my love for the Love Hypothesis. I will legitimately read anything this woman writes and I’m happy I have a stack of books by her to tackle. Also? The Love Hypothesis just got announced into a movie yayayaya But anyways back to the book! The story was cute and quick and full of everything that makes me love romance. I love that it was too the point and still held real chemistry between the characters. Hazelwood has a great talent to make her main characters really relatable. All of Mara’s narration felt relatable and made me giggle. UGH love love love. Read this book!!!!! Than come talk to me about it!!!

3. Publisher should have done a book of shorts - I love the writing. Cute story. Great author- she is really great at characterization. I’m assuming the next two books for Mara’s friends will be a novella (ish) like this? Could have released them together. Either way, I enjoyed this. Keep writing. We obv love reading your stuff! And to be fair…it does say it’s a novella in the description! This is a short pleasant romp with few conflicts. Easy and relaxing read.

4. Pretty good - Ali Hazlewood made it to my favorite authors list, after reading Love Hypothesis. I had very high hopes for this book and everything was really good besides the sex. It was just really awkward and felt rushed. With the direction the story was going in, the sex scene felt so random, there wasn’t even really much events that led up to it which made it weird. But the plot is amazing and the characters are so perfect for each other. I love how Liam isn’t the typical grumpy guy and he’s actually pretty awkward and easily flustered. Ali Hazlewood has such a gift of making readers feel they are watching the story play right in front of their eyes. And both books I’ve read have perfect comedic dialogue.

1. Stuck with You - Okay, so, I binge-read the Loathe to Love You series over the weekend and I think out of the three stories, this one was my least favorite. Really, my only dislike about this book is that the couple’s relationship moves/progresses in a much faster pace than the other two books in the series do, and I prefer a slower burn enemies-to-lovers.I would have enjoyed it more if there was a bit more history between the two characters instead of literally just one date and a misunderstanding, but I get that it’s be difficult to squeeze much more into so few chapters. Nevertheless, this one just wasn’t as enjoyable to me as Hazelwood’s other works.

2. Low page count lack of spice! - This novella is so incredibly short, but as much as I still obviously wanted more, I didn’t feel like it was missing anything! I think Ali Hazelwood managed to squeeze every important detail into this book that was necessary. Low page count lack of spice. I would recommend this to any Ali Hazelwood fans or anyone looking for an incredibly quick, spicy read! Let’s not forget, the importance of representation! I love reading from the perspective of women in STEM.

3. Immensely enjoyed - Currently I would say her first novella and this one are very similar but I don’t like one more than the other. I enjoyed both the same amount. I liked the couple in the first one a lot more but I enjoyed Sadie’s energy lol she seemed very scatterbrained and nervous which I found very relatable because I feel like that a lot. Erik is hot. He really feels like a true Viking in the way he takes a woman and also his behavior. They are stoic but aggressive. He is such a simp for Sadie I loved it so much. Something I really enjoy is the softness the grumps feel for the leading women. It’s truly adorable. My favorite trope is grumpy sunshine.
