1. This is hot! - Normally, I only buy a few tracks off an album, but this album is outstanding! On it's own, the album has flow and it works very well, evoking many moods. Individual tracks mix into playlists of all sorts, especially Middle Eastern, but also even into jazz! I'm glad I bought this and the first CD in their entirety. This is hot stuff! These are very good tunes that are highly energized, yet have different moods. Buy the whole album, then go listen to each artist's other albums. You'll find even more great music! This is 'must have' music!

1. The World's Greatest Trumpet Player of his time! - I am thrilled to find this album on iTunes! While the recording technology of the music could be better, the musicianship could not. These are the sounds of a trumpet master. Each generation has a limited number of trumpet players who are role models. Rafael Mendez was that role model for my generation. I must express my thanks. In the late 's Rafael Mendez traveled to the small town of Mt. Shasta, California, to help out a pretty hot high school band with a fund raiser (uniforms). We found Mr. Mendez a man of good humor and, like our director a demanding but kind task master with high standards and expectations. No prima donna here; Mendez made a special point of reinforcing the teachings of our director. Opening night came and what a thrill it was to perform with "The World's Greatest Trumpet Player." Truly a once in a lifetime experience! Whether you feel this review helpful or not, I can guarantee that If you take time to listen to this man's virtuosity, you will find your money well spent!

1. The Best - Incredible album. Seriously, I was so psyched about this album that I travelled from San Francisco to Bilbao to see them live. Amazing... This one is a little different than previous OdB efforts. A little softer with stronger Latin American influence. Genius, Passion, Energy and Style (and more).
2009-11-212. Excellent Album and a Great Price! - This is an amazing recording. Ojos de Brujo is in fine form. I have all their albums and they keep getting better, crossing more musical boundries and delivering top notch musicianship. I hope they tour the US because they are an incredible live act! ODB are the best!!

Chambao - Chambao's self-tittled comeback album is heavily influenced by north african sounds which makes it very musically interesting, this is immediately apparent in the first single released, Lo Mejor Pa Ti. Lead singer La Mari sounds as good as always. Out of the eleven tracks four stand out to me, Lo Mejor Pa Tí, Miedo Por Dentro, Los Sueños, and Llevalo Contigo. Four very good songs in an eleven song album is not bad at all. That said, this group's albums tend to grow on me the more I listen to them so I might grow to like a couple more of the songs in it. That said the album is a no brainer buy for any Chambao fan.

1. Wow. - To arrange harp and piano together is an immense challenge, and Castaneda does some incredible wizardry here. The way he modifies the harp to have a bass in the low end is also brilliant. Amazing stuff. This is what jazz should be trying to do- redefining traditional boundaries and making listeners think about what they're hearing.

Naturally beautiful music - After perusing a lot of -second samples on Itunes, this is the first Flamenco Nuevo group that sounded like they didn't have a synthesizer pounding out the background percussion in perfect tempo. Hurray! Some pieces actually have a bit of ritardando (slowing of pace) or change in tempo. What a breath of fresh air! And simply lovely guitar playing.

1. not sure what the reviewer is talking about... - This album is calmer than the past two, and to me this shows that the band is maturing in its style. this doesn't mean, though, that the songs here are any less inspired. Listen to this album for yourself, because I don't think the iTunes reviewer listened closely enough to discover just how beautiful and original this album is.

Amazing, Invocative, Fire. - I came across LAGQ quite awhile ago with their release of "Evening in Granada" - an excellent album and one I was disappointed in finding out that itunes does not carry. The collective work of "El Amor Brujo" is also included in the "Evening in Granada" and I believe if the composer, Manuel de Falla, were alive today he would hear his work fully realized. In simply a word, extraordinary. The composition and the delivery show the modern mastery of the guitar that is LAGQ. The evocative tones bring you close to the fire that is found in Flamenco, but polished with a classical sheen. I am stilled stunned whenever I hear LAGQ play de Falla, even after years of listening. If you want to hear the fire offered from the Flamenco Guitar, if you want a full taste of what the Classical Guitar has too offer, played by true masters of the art, buy this album.
