3. A true classic - This is truly where it all began for Shakira. "Pies Descalzos" was her breakthrough in Latin America, but "Donde Estan Los Ladrones" is what truly solidified her stardom. Classics she still performs today are found on this album, from catchy Mexican-trumpet-influenced "Ciega, Sordomuda", to angry rock song "Si Te Vas", and most of all, the Middle Eastern pop masterpiece, "Ojos Asi". 7. I may not speak spanish, but I still enjoy this album - Title says it all. I love the Spanish language, it's very beautiful, like the album. I like this album even more than some of her english releases. I translated the lyrics of the songs so now I actually know the meanings of them and I can say that the songwriting is brilliant. My favorite songs are Ciego, Sordomuda, Si Te Vas, No Creo, Inevitable, Que Vuelvas, Tu (my favorite song), Donde Estan los Ladrones, Ojas Asi.

3. Decent - This album has some good stuff. But she has too much reggaton. Donde está la Shakira con sus canciones sinceras? I loved Chantaje, Amarillo, Nada, and Toneladas. The rest just wasn’t true to herself and superficial. El Dorado only scratched the surface of a talented human being. I hope she digs more.

4. Canciones románticas en español - Nada, Amarillo, Toneladas Que canciones tan hermosas. Yo nosé que tiene esta mujer, pero las canciones en español las interpreta tan bien... No puedo decir lo mismo de las de inglés, ya que ella siempre suena sincera en español, pero demasiado mainstream en Inglés. Lo malo es que la lista de canciones es un arroz con mango: reggaetón y baladas. Demasiadas canciones que son de otros artistas y ya habían sido lanzadas anteriormente. 6. Amazing - Shakira's new album is already my favorite. The collaborations are great. She made a fantastic comeback. It was definitely worth the wait. I do find it annoying how some of the other reviewers don't understand how singles and albums work. Singles are like sneak peeks to an upcoming album. So you should expect them to be on the album. This is how many artists release an album. So in the end Shakira is not lazy you are just very stupid. Who cares if her music is different change can be good and this is a great example of that.

2. MR. - Elian Elias is just about the greatest pianist I have ever heard. With all due respect to Diana Krall and all the other great piano players whom I admire so much, to me they now seem to pale in comparison. Not Trying To Hate..... - I have to say that not only as a Dominican musician, but also as someone who grew up listening to bachata.... i understand what Romeo is trying to do, and it is a fair attempt at what could have been an amazing freshman solo album. However, as he calls this CD LA FORMULA he strays away from keeping the original format of bachata. I understand he is trying to change and develop bachata into something new for a new generation, but he should not try to change the original bachata sound. The albums is full of rockstyle solos and different musical nuances that do make this album a diverse one, while at the same time failing to give us classic bachata constructs as he did with Aventura. The so called FORMULA, is very simple. Stick to music that keeps the original dominican bachata sound! UNLESS, you would like to steer clear from bachata altogether and you created this album as just a trampoline to a full blown POP album. A good example of a song that keeps original bachata musicality is "Bella Y La Bestia" The guitar playing on this track is reminiscent of early "Luis Vargas" sounds. Very earthy, Dominican feel to it. Perfect execution.

4. No can do. Marc Anthony - I have enjoyed most of Marc Anthonys Albums over the years. But this one was a stretch. His vocals cannot compare to that of heavy weight male vocalist Christain Castro on his El Principe delux CD. All voices are not made to sing all genres of music. Christian Castro was born vocally to hit and manage these old time songs of the past with his vocal style. Marc Anthony is not. Marc Anthony attempted to reach too much into the past with some of the old great songs of the past. But please lets remember and honor the man that sang these songs Jose Jose, and the voice this man had. Only Christian Castro can mimic closely this style. Marc Anthonys' voice cannot not. But many artisits enjoy reaching over the top to try out new avenues of musical vocal genres, nothing wrong with this. It was a good attempt but not worthy of pruchase. Please compare and contrast Christian Castro El Principe Delux CD with this current version of Marc Anthonys'. I bet you will purchase El Principe. It is a CD of great passion, great vocal performance, wit, drama, and it does what its soppsed to do....entertain. I purchased this CD becuase I rememdered C.C. other great songs and great vocal performances, He has matured vocally and has honed in on his vocal craft. I vote for Christian Castro in this musical Genre.

Stars for Luis NOT for this album version - I'm not sure what happened here but I know this album like the back of my hand and it is absolutely correct that there is NO "live" cut anywhere in the original recording of Romance. I-tunes, please check into what happened here, it is not fair that the original recording is not being offered. As someone put it, the "live" sound completely takes away from the studio and incredible romantic feeling of Contigo en la Distancia and Inolvidable. If I were to buy this (and I almost did to download onto my I pod) I would have been extremely angry as Contigo en la Distancia (studio) is one of my all time faves by Luis. I love u I-tunes but this one, I just dont get!

3. Romance - The first reviewer is right. Add "No Se Tu," one of the most beautiful ballads ever recorded by any singer, to the list of songs originally recorded in the studio. This album was a gift, which I received when first released, and contained no live recordings. If you love this cd, finding the original release will be well worth it. Miguel's pure and emotional song delivery is truly special and unparalleled, with the exception of the older Julio Iglesias recordings. If you love Luis, you'll adore Tito Rodriguez, another great ballad singer, who died while still in his prime. Buy one of his cds, if you can find it. You won't regret it.

4. Are some of these songs mislabeled ? - Musically this is hands down Luis Miguel's best album. The only concern I have with this set of music is some possibly mislabeled songs. I don't remember anything on the Romance album being LIVE. After I downloaded the album, I noticed that the songs INOLVIDABLE and CONTIGO EN LA DISTANCIA were live cuts. Luis Miguel's studio version of CONTIGO EN LA DISTANCIA is such a pretty and relaxing song. The live version with the screaming fans just wrecks the ambience of the song. The point being that I may be wrong, but I think a couple of the songs on this set are NOT from the Romance album. Consider that before you make the mistake of downloading the whole album like I did. Can you say WARRENTY OF MERCHANTABILITY ????

5. Nostalgia - One of the biggest stars in Latin America - completely ignored in the US. One of those reasons being that he has avoided recording in English. He has an incredible voice, but not a very expressive one. He has time and time again updated old boleros, allowing a whole new generation to enjoy the great melodies and songwriting of the old Latin American composers. He's TOP material, like with so many other artists from the South, is substandard. It sounds like a watered down version of an original song you might have heard somewhere else (and some of them are real covers). The best in this collection are probably his boleros; the worst is probably that version of El Dia Que Me Quieras: the music is bland, and he's singing is as cheesy as it gets.

4. One of the all-time classics of Cuban music... - It's difficult to put my appreciation for this album into words. My friends know me as an avid music fan, and when asked me what CD I would take with me if relegated to a desert island, I instantly thought of Mi Tierra. Gloria's English language music, both during her stint with Miami Sound Machine and during her solo career, is good in a very commercial and ultimately disposable way. That's what makes Mi Tierra such a revelation. It's anything but disposable and really showcases Gloria as an organic talent. The songs sound beautiful, with careful and lush production and amazing lyrics. I don't know how the emotional intensity of the lyrics comes through for those who do not speak Spanish, but they are some of the most heartfelt and touching lyrics I've ever heard in songs. Most of the instruments are played perfectly by legends of Latin music, and whether a song is upbeat or a slow ballad, each song has amazing depth. This album helped me connect with my Cuban heritage and I recommend it to any fan of music, whether they're into Latin music or not. It's beautiful and timeless music.

Elegant Excellence - I was not familiar with Julieta Venegas, but was immediately enraptured when I came across selections from her MTV unplugged performance while channel surfing my local TV stations. This is an excellent introduction to Venegas for those who don't know her music because the set includes songs from her earlier albums. But what also stands out here is her expert musicianship and her generosity towards the musicians and guest artists that appear with her. Some of the songs, especially "Me Voy" are examples of pop genius, happy and infectious. I was so happy to have discovered this talented singer and musician, and happily recommend her to others.

3. It grows on you - I first heard Julieta here in town (Tijuana) over years ago. I didn't liked her or what I heard. Time has passed, she's gotten better and I've become more receptive to her music. 11. Padriiiisiiiiimo con i de JULIETA!! - El disco esta excelente. Las canciones son fenomenales. El dueto con La Mala, que no sabia quien era, esta buenisimo. El rap de la Mala hace la cancion mas unica de lo que era. La cancion El Presente esta de poca MOTHER y merecia ser el primer single del CD. La ignorancia es atrevida. - Es increíble leer como ignorantes de corta memoria y aparentemente ningún tipo de talento u oído musical le exigen a la banda de rock en español mas importante en la historia que vuelvan a sus raíces cuando esta producción es precisamente donde en los últimos años Maná ha sonado al Maná que nos hizo a todos fans en el principio. ¿Que tiene elementos nuevos electrónicos? 3. Finally - I've been jamming to this cd for a while now and I must say I'm impressed on how fresh their songs are. I was going to give up on them because all of their music was starting to sound the same which means it was slow boring and something about love. Sure they've had some songs that have stood out in recent memory, but since I didn't like their last couple CDs I wouldn't be able to name them. And don't get me wrong, this still have the slow love songs that they do but at least it's not the whole cd. Truthfully a more modern feel to this whole album and a great breath of fresh air.

4. Not another bandwagon review - Funny how the star reviews can judge when they probably couldn't even compose a child's nursery rhyme. Mana's new effort is put together to attract the new and long time fans. The songs are well written and are performed to perfection. My only gripe would be the track listing. The album/cd starts out too slow maybe some of the later songs would have fit better towards the top. So there you have it. Mana has put together another fine effort no true fan should miss. If your a fan stuck in the past then stay away you won't understand what it is to grow musically as a band.

Lamentable Maná olvido lo fundamental, la música, que los lanzo a la cima. Quien dicen que los Rolling Stones, U, o los Eagles tienen que "water down" su música parar dejar su marca. This group is going through an apparent mid-life crisis, at least Fher is with him being a top composer for the group. That’s the best way I can describe the differences in the regular and acoustic versions. Both are good, and worth buying. Same with tracks and . Track is a standout as well. Track ’s snippet made my body move to the beat, but I can see it getting tiresome over time. The beat is fairly redundant, so I won’t buy it.The rest of the tracks I mentioned are definite buys.

1. Less Popular Songs - I wore the CD out at least times when I first got it back in when I was . Everyone loved 'Livin la Vida Loca' and 'She's All I Ever Had (Bella),' but I loved the less popular songs. 'You Stay with Me' is such a beautiful ballad & "You are Made of Me" is the song that I overplayed way too many times for the fragile CD. This record proved he can do every genre the best! Still love him after all these years! Nearly every song on here is great and same goes for his other albums.

2. Love Enrique Martin Morales!! yeah that's your name boy!! - When I was a little girl, I loved Menudo, the latin answer to boy bands. He was just a little kid really. I'm so proud as a PuertoRican to see him grow up and become such a huge, diverse star. Menudo!!! But seriously, if you want a booty shaker, check out "La Copa de La Vida" or "The Cup of Life" written for the soccer games. Even if you don't understand it, it will inspire you to move around.

2. An Album Worth Buying - This is one of those albums that deserves to be listened by all. It is a great piece of work by one of Mexico's already greatest singers ever: Luis Miguel. The album has great songs and an absolutely great Mariachi. Whatever Mariachi this is, Miguel definitely hired one of the best I have heard. The music, the lyrics and Miguel's voice all fit in together perfectly fine. This album is quintessential ranchera music. It deserves to be played in Mexican restaurants and anything Mexico related. It is an album that represents the beauty of Mexico. Definitely worth hearing.

1. Simply The Best - When I listen to Shakira's songs, it seems at times that I hear not only her voice but her honest heart. I feel her pain! She makes me cry literally! No other singer has ever had that effect on me. And that's given that her songs seem to be fast for me. Her diction is just perfect. Even if the songs are in Spanish which I know so little of, I still enjoy them. So mesmerizing! Maybe I really could say I love these songs to the most honest definition of love. 2. Great but... - Two great albums but why no iTunes Plus version? Is it on the way? Or am I going to have to waste the gas to drive to one of the few music retailers left and purchase the CD so I can have DRM free copies. Honestly people we're suppose to be conserving, and not wasting. Put up an DRM free version so I don't have to burn the gas to drive to a store to purchase a hard copy which had to be shipped in a truck that also burns fossil fuel. :)

3. Definately the Oral Fixation - Shakira is a very talented artist, she has beautiful lyrics and strong meaning behind all her music. Among the best are Don't Bother, Las de la Intuicion, No, Timor, etc. Shakira is definately going to be around for a long time not only because of her words, but her strong voice. Her music is so avante garde, so different its created a sensation in your mind that is beyond all others.

4. Unspeakably genius! - Shakira blends Latin-American dance with American Pop so well. Most attmepts at this by other artists fall flat: sugar in an oil tank. But Shakira was able to pull it off. There aren't too many who are able to do that...this is a great album. I especially reccomend "La Tortura", both the video and the song.

9. Brilliant! - First of all if you bought each individual song and video (including the "album onlys") it would come to $. and this is only $.. Second of all I bought Vol. and separately when they first came out and I still bought this because it has new songs that weren't included with the originals, includes amazing videos, and is a great deal. She continues to create unique and catchy music that I can't get enough of. Great if you don't have the originals and an even sweeter deal if you are buying them for the first time with this collection.

11. Doesn't Make Sense - I don't understand why they put together two albums. If people were fans of Shakira, they would of most likely bought these albums already. I guess it is a good buy for people who want to start listening to Shakira, so some people this could be considered a good buy. It also wouldn't make sense to buy these albums because half and them are Spanish, and half of them are English. Most people aren't fluent in English and Spanish, but if you are, then this would also be a good buy for you. This is just a review, and it is a just an opinion, so don't just listen to this.

No matter how often I listen to that song, I get chills all over my body every time! I think the review was written by someone who eitiher doesn't care for opera or deep sentiment, in which case, they are missing a great gift in life... I feel sorry for them and as for their prediction that this group doesn't have staying power, I think this is due to the lack of emotional depth and maturity.
