Iconic! - When the album first came out, I didn’t like it a lot, but now I can’t stop signing it!! reputation was a huge stage in Taylor’s life, when she got to do the music SHE loved and SHE wanted. When she really poured her heart out to us, her fans, and couldn’t stop writing. I find that Delicate, Call It What You Want, and New Year’s Day are songs that really just scream Taylor’s inner emotions and let us feel what she’s going through even more. “My reputation’s never been worse so, you must like me for me” is an iconic line for me in Delicate. And songs like Getaway Car, Ready For It, King of My Heart, I Did Something Bad, Don’t Blame Me, and This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things are so catchy and fun! (And Gorgeous explains my life!! Lol) Love this iconic album. Keep being YOU, Taylor!

1. Album of the Decade for the s - is a zero skip album. Period. Even it’s week spot “bad blood” is an insanely iconic and nostalgic. It contains her nd greatest song in her discography “style” which deserves to share the spot with “Blank Space”. The production is the best on any album I’ve ever listened to in my life. 6. I’m gonna get BOMBED for saying this… - I think Taylor Swift is overrated. After hearing “Shake it Off” times a week, I cringe when hearing her. It seems like whenever she releases something, people think it’s GOLD. She is the most overrated person I’ve ever known! Take my word, this album is terrible! 2. Never ordinary - This collection is closest to Elton’s original greatest hits album that sold million copies. There is no filler here like some other compilations. If you’re a new Elton fan and want a good introduction as to why he dominated the charts in the ’s or an old fan wanting a trip down memory lane this is the album you want. Elton, perhaps more than his contemporaries, was always a great singles artist. Listening to this collection will remind you of what it was like as a kid in the seventies listening to AM top waiting for an EJ song. These songs are more than nostalgic though. They have held up with the passing of time. They are classic pop tunes that will sound good for generations to come.

2. My honest opinion - I am not a big Harry Styles fan so my review is not biased This album is okay at best. A few of the songs are actually good ( as it was, late night talking, Matilda) but the rest of the songs are generic and boring. Definitely didn’t deserve a Grammy. People just like his music because of how he is and looks as a person, not because of how it actually sounds He’s grown very popular in the past few years and shown he can write good songs. he will probably will put out another album. That could be his album, and who knows, it might actually be a good album. was just not his year and Harry’s house is just not his album. 7. His best work - This is truly everything a great album should be. From start to finish it’s an amazing body of work. Standouts like “Matilda,” “Music for a Sushi Restaurant,” and “Boyfriends” make this album his best work yet. 1. It’s hard to beat - Of course, you should get all of their albums, but especially Arrival- The Visitors. Absolutely timeless. Great intro to their catalog and hits most of the hits, but of course, there is More ABBA Gold as well to continue that story plus through an previously unreleased gem in the mix... I grew up with them, remember their break up as couples as a child and their break up as a band as well ... then came the haters... never understood why they had such a backlash, but by the early ’s they were being recognized once again for their timeless perfection. 3. Great! This is a YAS QUEEN worthy album. - I have the actual album but not the soundtrack I was like, “[censored], I should have totally bought the soundtrack before I spent spent all my money. I totally regret it. Next time I get iTunes credit, I will have to add a reminder on my iPad to get the soundtrack. I have listened to all the songs before, EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Made me get up and dance. Totally recommend getting this album if you have not heard ABBA yet. These are all the Golden songs. Just be aware this soundtrack does NOT have Angel Eyes. But it’s too minor to give it a star review. So, YAS QUEEN, GET THE SOUNDTRACK.

4. Mama Mia! - Just recently saw an outstanding performance of Mama Mia on Royal Caribben's Allure Of The Seas. The cast was amazing and truely did justice to all these great Abba Songs. To my horror I discovered I didn't have any Abba in my iTunes Library. Problem solved. My love for the harmonies and honest lyrics of Abba has been renewed.

Missing Duet "flowers" but otherwise OK - There are two versions of this collection identical including the same title and artwork, however this earlier version has the solo version of "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" and NOT the hit duet with Barbra Streisand. I also would expand this album to be songs. Among the missing essentials are "Longfellow Serenade," "If You Know What I Mean," "Brooklyn Roads," "Stones," "Be" (from Jonathan Livingston Seagull), "Desirée," and "Yesterday's Songs."

2. First time everything has been remastered - This is for the CD version of this album. Neil Diamond has had a very long career. Our family listened to his albums growing up and I don’t know that every one of his albums has ever been re-issued or remastered. A collection like this is really nice because it’s bringing together music from so many different albums over the years and remastering it so that it’s much more listenable. It's pretty amazing to hear these songs again with such clarity.

But, the download from ITunes is a very bad recording with a HISSING sound throughout while being played. Why can’t ITunes use a CLEAN version of this recording? 2. I paid but can’t download album - I purchased the whole album, it says I own the songs but iTunes won’t let me download the songs. This is fraudulent, in police work we call this theft which is punishable by the full strength of the law in the state of California. No person should be placed in this predicament even if it’s caused by a technical matter; there is no excuse. Apple has the capability to fix this oversight, they are a large company with the technological means to have it work and be available for download to the customer who purchased the album. Apple you have been warned fix this (today’s date is // at :am in California) if it’s not fixed within working days I’m going to file charges against Apple with the Santa Barbara County District Attorneys Office for theft.

You gotta admit tho - Despite the Album Only BS and this collection widely viewed as a ripoff...this is actually quite a decentcollection of pop/rock of that decade...there are glaring omissions of course (more Prince and hip hop woudl be a good start). But if you were to introduce someone to the music of the 's who had never heard any of it before (say, an alien or an unfrozen caveman) this woudl be a good place to start.

Wow great collection BUT!!!! - You know I love this collection and while I do have some of the songs I don't have all in this collection, at first I thought this was one of the NOW THATS WHAT I CALL xxx series and that it could be bought on CD format and there are a half dozen different Now that's what I call the 's collections and NONE of them have this same set of songs, they have some but not all, the most songs on any of the others is songs and they aren't all the same songs as found on this collection, this version of the 's actually has songs and again they aren't the same songs found on the other 's collections... Now in itself this is a great collection and there are songs but the thing holding me back is the $. price tag which is twice what it should be, I've seen collections with. hit songs sell for $. here so why would iTunes charge $. for songs that are to year old??? Are they trying to start a stimulus on 's music? It's just way too much for a music collection like this, not to mention that's the price for a digital music collection where you have no physical cd to add to a music collection, I mean what if you no longer had a Apple product anymore you wouldn't be able to access your songs without a lot of trouble and then maybe not at all? You'd loose the collection if you couldn't export it to a new phone through iTunes so its way to much for a digital version, if it was less I'd buy it in a second but as it is now it's just far too high for a digital music collection, hell if it were on cd you would still only pay $. to $. or maybe a little more but certainly not $. Otherwise great music collection and I'd love to buy it, I'm just not going to pay that much for it in digital format, I would pay maybe $. to $. for it on a cd if it were available that way but it's not BC

1. Love it!! - I am almost , and I. Love. Jimmy Buffett. All of my friends and family think I am crazy, but I love it!! I have been in and out of the hospital and doctor for the past months and everytime on my Bluetooth headphones I BLAST this album (Including Jolly Mon Sing) on full volume. The first ever time I remember hearing it was when I was and it was Jolly Mon Sing and I heard “Jolly Bob Stinks” so now it is one of my favorites and I always say Jolly Bob Stinks instead of Jolly Mon Sing . I my twelfth birthday is coming up (Late August) and at : am I thought,” huh, what should my birthday theme be? I GOT IT MARGARITAVILLE!!!” And everyone was still awake so I said, “I FIGURED OUT MY BIRTHDAY THEME!!!! MARGARITAVILLE!!!” And everyone laughed because I thought of it so early! Still awesome years after the release! - I’ve listened to Ed for a while now, and I was on my re-listen for all his albums, and I was instantly excited because I had reached my favorite one, Divide. These songs are amazing, each one is unique and lovely in its own special way(s). I specifically like Castle on the Hill a lot, it makes me cherish every moment, life goes by too fast. But this album is still my favorite, I love his voice and songwriting. Keep up he great work, man!

5. Divide and conquer. - He took over the music industry, and, for a long while, left no room for anybody else to get a chance to be big. The “ ” title is fitting because he made a division between himself and everyone who could have made a name for themselves. Artists like MGK had to wait to be noticed because of him. The music is overall bad. I think this album was too big for its time. Overrated artist, overrated music, overrated album! If I could give it now stars I would.

6. Idk - I admit, the music is pretty good. But the lyrics in Shape of You aren’t that great to listen to in my opinion. Like, hearing someone sing about women bodies is weird. it’s just a song with an overall weird theme and lyrics. From what I see in the reviews it’s making some listeners a bit uncomfortable. I personally believe it’s not his best work compared to earlier songs. Sort of a let down. But, there are songs in the album that are actually pretty good and ones that I would listen to regularly. Shape of You is just not it.

1. Nice Try - I am a big Ed fan but this album is so different than what he's done in the past. He asks us to listen to the entire album as it is presented. The problem is that there are epic albums that are created to be listened to through it's entirity as things flow from one song to the next building on what came before. One of my favorite albums like this is Supertramps Crisis - What Crisis? The songs aren't a bunch of singles like Ed Sheeran's albums. The entire album put out by Supertramp with Crisis uses the songs and the music to slowly push you toward a climactic peak and then pulls you back in with something milder at the last minute. There were no hit singles on Crisis because the entire album is meant to be listen to from the beginning to the end. By Ed's own description, these songs are crap. He wrote many songs a day but none of them have the music that doesn't feel like it was thrown in as an exhausted afterthought. Ed asked us to listen to the entire album before passing judgment but I only made it about half way through and then abandoned it. should be a continuance of Ed's development of his talent but it is just a bunch of mediocre singles. I believe that this album will not sell well and it will hopefully lead Ed to realize that every five or six songs that he writes every day are not all golden and that he needs to learn more about creating music that elevates his lyrics instead of whatever this album was supposed to be.

2. Great Artist - I read these reviews and it makes me mad at these trolls . Ed Sheeran is a great ARTIST . 3. Very disappointing! :( - Our Ed has lost lost his way...temporarily, I hope. All the opriginality he once brought to the scene is completely ahsent in this attempt. It could be any of a number of copycat artists doing their thing to a stereotypical rythmn track and a computer-generated melody/harmony hodgepodge. I'd like to give it a higher rating because I really like Ed's past work but as far as this album is concerned, it's a one star as far as I am concerned. I was very disappointed and I'm really hoping that this is just a one-time affair and that he will get back to what made him so interesting.

4. Business As Usual Sheeran- Very good - This is a really solid product from Mr. Ed Sheeran. I just listened to all the songs there are many standouts on this album. When Ed puts it all together with great lyrics, beats, & hooks that stay with you, there is nobody better in the business. However sometimes he can be a bit formulaic with either too poppy sappy love songs or jaded scorned lover songs. I was a bit worried when I st heard the singles released that this album would trend too much in that direction for my liking. I get it he has a record label to appeal to but this album had enough songs I liked that didn't go in that direction. So in a sense it feels as this album is pleasing to many different age groups. Best songs on this album in order of greatest are: ) Stop The Rain. This is about another heartbreak song, jaded scorned lover. It has a good vibe, good/beat but a great singalong tune. ) Leave Your Life. Catchy & an awesome beat. Ed sings this really well. Very identifiable and will grow on you each listen. ) Step. I really dig this one and it's the one on the album that sounds like this. Skatting and strumming has always been a strength. So glad he gave us one track like this. ) Love In Slow Motion. This will be loved, played and sung at all weddings. Ed's upper register in the nd half of the song sounds great. ) Joker & The Queen. What a beautiful track. The backing symphony is amazing. More of this please. It's a majestic sound. ) Collide. Bring me to life when you and I collide, nice lyric. Pretty catchy upbeat. The last seconds is the best. ) Bad Habits. This is the st single released that just worked. Not his best but just worked. The rest of the tracks are average are too poppy or boring for me. But there is enough solid songs for me to give this a stars and on par with his previous album efforts.

2. Original gold - Michael Jackson is on one of the greatest composers in history. He does not use auto tune, he has a good voice, and he writes his own songs, and beats from scratch. It’s good to still see his songs here even after he passed away. His legacy will go on throughout history. 6. I still remember - Micheal Jackson’s music was a big part of my childhood. I was when he died and I remember that day so well. I was truly hurt, but I never stopped loving his music. I’m now and still am a huge fan. I’m glad this album includes most of my all time favorites. This is what you call real music. On a side note, a lot of people kinda hate Michael now bc of his involvement with abuse to children. I DO NOT agree with what he did, but that doesn’t mean he didnt have a gift. 3. One of the best albums of the s - This remains my favorite album by John Mayer, because his songs possibly mean even more to me now than they did years ago. My personal preferences aside, YOU should buy this album for the lush R&B stylings of John Mayer and the fabulous session musicians. There is not a filler track on this album. Everything fits together and all of them have emotional pull with the possible exception of "Say" which is standard pop and a bit repetitive. The songs that open the album are great and are the ones you're most likely to be familiar with, but "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" is the standout track for me. It's a blistering ballad where the music sets the mood perfectly. "Stop this Train" gets me every time and it appeals to both young adults afraid of getting older as well as older adults watching younger generations struggle with the challenges of growing up..."Vultures" is just plain GROOVY. I was serious when I said in my opinion this might be the best album released between and by ANY artist...oh, and if you like this album then you will LOVE John Mayer Trio's TRY album for a live concert album full of "Bold as Love" style wailing guitar solos from an underrated guitarist in John Mayer...I wish he'd get back to R&B as I prefer it to his previous pop and his current folky stylings. BUY THIS ALBUM. $. is a STEAL for such a masterpiece!

4. BUY THIS ALBUM RIGHT NOW - John Mayer is a legend and this album just shows it. The lyrics are beautifully crafted and his ability to reach and touch others with his lyrics is unbelievable. Mayer shows his true craft, playing the guitar during solo's in songs such as Gravity. I would recommend this album to any age at any time. Probably my favorite musical album out there, definitely my favorite artist.

5. Unlikely Classic - This album is a great slice of what folk-rock is all about. My mom has compared this to the work of the Grateful Dead. Great guitar work by Mayer, with lovely jazz touches. Spectacular, well thought out album - While this is John Mayer's third album, he somehow keeps it fresh and doesn't fall into the trap of writing the same song over and over, running it into the ground to make hits. This is definitely not a follow up to Room for Squares or Heavier Things. This album was all about perfection in Mayer's eyes and it shows. This album is well thought out and there's not an out of place song in this album. He keeps his music fresh with great chord progressions and beautiful delivery. You can really feel the music. John Mayer is one of the few pop artists that don't compromise musicality for hits. This album is proof that your music doesn't have to be cookie cutter to sell. Great album that I would most definitely recommend buying!

8. Mayer's best album to date - This album embodies everything that John Mayer is about. While he has changed his style of music recently, nothing will beat Continuum for me because it is his most solid body of work. The bluesy rasp in his voice and his guitar skills are at its best and each song is one I would listen to on any given day. There's not a single song I'd skip over and that is hard to do in an album. I wish he would go back to his roots and make another album such as this one. Regardless, I'm still a big fan. My standout tracks are Belief, Gravity, Vultures, Slow Dancing In a Burning Room, Dreaming With a Broken Heart, and In Repair.

5. Greatest album ever - Nsync use to be a great hit and the best boy band ever. They were the one direction when I was a kid and I loved them. My mom and dad bought the tape at the store and we listened to it all the time and I was , but I had so much fun listening to it and then when I was older and Nsync wasn't together anymore my brother broke the tape and I was heart broken, but my dad went to a garage sale and found one for me and I couldn't be any more happy. I watch as Justin Timberlake make a fortune and I don't see any of the other members of the band any more and now I here that they are planning on getting back together, I didn't believe it because they have been apart for so long. This cd always makes me smile and I won't want that to change at all and I am glad I grew up listening to their music, I couldn't of asked for any better group of guys ever. I love the music it's so up beat and I just loved the bye, bye, bye song because I love the video where they are running away from that freaky lady. This I Promise you is so loving, it makes me want to press repeat over and over again. No Strings Attached is fun to listen to and I enjoy it. I think this is the greatest album ever and if they did get back together I will always be there biggest fan in the whole world.

6. A Good Pop Record - I have always been a HUGE music fan. I love playing it, creating it, talking about it, listening to it, the list goes on. That being said, I lovew all kinds of music. While the Backstreet Boys went on to be the best boy band of all time, Nsync, the other big contender, kind of faded away when Timberlake went solo. Looking back at Nsyncs records, their debut was weak. It had a few pop gems, but nothing special, then came No Strings Attached, which rivaled Millenium, (one of my all time favorite albums) This completely changed my view of Nsync, I said " okay, their not Just a boy band with "pretty" faces. these guys are real musicians." It shows, the album opens with the ever so popular, Bye Bye Bye. To this day, this song remains timeless, and you can't help but jam to it when it comes on. It's Gonna be Me follows, while I like it better than Bye Bye Bye, it doesn't seem to get that rep. Space Cowboy follows and once again, kills it. There are however a few songs I don't care for. For instance, Justr got paid and, it makes me ill are some weaker tracks, but this I promise you is classic, and then the album picks back up again. Overall, this is one of my favorite pop records, and unlike the boy bands of today such as One Direction, this album continues to stand the test of time. Celbrity, their rd record was okay, but was a step down from this one. Then JT did his thing and the band was disbanded. If you are new to the band, I would recomend this album first. Wheter you hate boy bands or not, this is an album that is worth checking out.

7. blah blah, fake, shallow, blah blah. - I've said the same things about all these bands and albums doing coprorate pop for profit marketed to shallow teens and i can say all the same things about this album. People that like this I usually don't like. So I don't really feel like reiterating that again here. So "fake/shallow/hollow rant" here. This is drastically better than Celebrity, but it's still just ok....what does that say about this album and this band?? As with all their albums, the few hits are mildly tolerable and the rest are painful toss offs created almost entirely by people other than those five boys. That cowboy song being the worst. I'm not even a fan of Country music, but I'm still offended on behalf of Country music.

NSYNC Forever - My older brother used to listen to NSYNC all the time when they first came out and then he got me to fall in love with them at the age of three. years have passed and I still love them as if everyday was the first. 1. A Very Talented Brother and Sister songwriting partnership - Few could match the hit machine the Carpenters were in the ’s with their lush melodies and more than accomplished songwriting. 1. Could’ve been better - Ok, so to explain everyone’s complaints. Disc : the slow songs. These are all the originals. Disc :: dance songs. I majority of these are remixes that are quite different from what you heard on the albums and often what you heard on the radio. Some are actual quite jamming and some are really bad. The problem was never that they included remixes of her dance hits (It’s Not Right But It’s Ok - Thunderpuss Remix is one of the best remixes ever actually), the problem is this is a Greatest Hits. People want the most familiar versions. This is especially true of her ’s dance songs. We don’t want How Will I Know in an trendy new remix, for example. So having the originals first and the remixes as a bonus would’ve made more sense. I guess they didn’t want to flip the bill to manufacture a CD set or something and were trying to promote her as some hip club diva? Also, the cover art is weird. Why is she drilling her record awards? To emphasize everyone will have a heart attack when they get to the nd disc? Anyway, this is a boatload of songs for the price so it’s actually a bargain just for all her ballads in one place and a few upbeat tracks done right, but it isn’t the complete collection it should’ve been.

Her songs connect to my whole life. So glad I lived during her time. I remember buying “Whitney” with my allowance and listening to her over and over. Still miss that life force. I have always thought of her as sort of the Gen X Judy Garland. In recent memory, IMO, there is Judy, Barbra & Whitney. The greatest voices, the greatest performers. 3. Astonishing!! - This is my favorite album that Taylor has made. You can see how much she has matured in her song writing. This album definitely has Style. 6. Jaw-dropping. - The three songs that she added to this deluxe version — "Wonderland," "You Are in Love," and "New Romantics" — are some of her best to this day! (And I love her new music.) 3. Best album yet - I have seen far too many reviews saying things like “I expected more from Adele” or “these songs go nowhere”. I get it, everyone can have their own taste in music, but these songs are PEAK ADELE. 4. What was she thinking? Slow and a bit narcissistic - Really enjoy Adele’s music, but I don’t know what she was thinking with . In her previous albums she would talk about how others (mostly men) affected her and the songs were her either working through her emotions or who she became on the other side. She does that as good as any artist. is all about her inner feelings and struggles. She is the antagonist through this album with little exception and it comes off like complaining. There are monologues in the midst of these songs and they are all about her, to think we want to hear her talk about mundane struggles spoken with an introspective tone in the middle of a song comes of narcissistic and really self indulgent. There is no hope, no resolutions….it’s just depressing. I’m not a mind reader but it seems she was thinking about herself and not her listeners/fans with and I hoped we wouldn’t let her get away with it but somehow it’s a star album. Her first album was generally slow but cool and interesting. Nearly every song on is not only slow but also uninteresting and frankly just boring. Getting through this album was nearly impossible the rd time. Save your $ and just by the “easy on me” single. It is the only song here with any value. Nearly every other song on should have stayed in Adele’s head as far as I’m concerned.

Simply Elegant, Beautiful and Heartbreaking - if i could, i’d give this album infinite stars. and to clarify, i’ve never been a big fan of adele in the past and my kind of music is indie/alt and rock and my favorite band is Foo Fighters. This album was able to make me dance around my room, lie in the floor and contemplate the meaning of life and love, and sob (To Be Loved and My Little Love, I’m looking at you) and this is simply one of my most favorite albums in the world. It was sad, beautiful and tragic and the songs were so well written and created. Be prepared for some of the best of adele in this album.

2. Good Compilation of Soft Rock Boy Band Music - Althought my loyalties were with Boyz II Men from their early beginnings, Backstreet Boys began to fill the void of no-harm soft rock boy band music. I was about - when they hit their peak in - and followed them into the early 's, when their inevitable fall began. However, listening back on their classic stuff, it does bring back my younger teenage and early 's youth and it's a fun step back in time.

Just as good as it was years ago - I’m almost and I’ve been listening to these guys since I was (so right around the time they came out with their second international album, Backstreets Back) I just saw them at Planet Hollywood for a grad present (vegas native right here) and they were GREAT. And I’m not saying that just because, I mean all guys are back, yay Kevin (: and they sounded just like the songs do on the album, Yes, they may not always play instruments (but they do play sometimes) and they may aways sing about heartbreak, girls etc. but their voices sound great, the harmony is perfect, and you can’t find a whole lot of other musicians that can sound just like their album work and they’re NOT lip syncing. They’re also funny and entertaining, they put on a great show and seeing them all together again and being able to sing the sings because I just automatically remember the words, just brought back such great memories of being a child in the s. Glad I can say I got to experience some of it before it was over.

5. oh, the 's!! - brings back such great memories. my parents bought me all the BSB, N'SYNC, and Britney Spears cd's for christmas when i was about or along with a little purple boombox! i remember feeling like i had hit the jackpot! LOL i danced around the living room that whole morning to all these CDs!! in fact, i was getting into this music so much i didn't even realize i had cut my toe on something on the floor until i had stopped to catch my breath (BAHAHAHAHA i was dancing hardcore!) and i noticed a pain in my toe! i am now and will enter my sophomore year of college this coming fall, but i am STILL a Backstreeter, N'SYNC-er and a Spears fan! the point i am trying to make is that was how addicted i was to these 's and early 's bands! they were the greatest thing then and EVERYONE was into them! those days are now part of a by-gone era, but whenever i hear these songs, they bring back so many memories! this is how music should be, not the junk that passes as music nowadays! buying this cd is seriously worth the money, because you will be able to listen to the songs anytime! :)

1. MATCHBOX TWENTY - This band was very much underrated, even at the height of its popularity. “Yourself or Someone Like You” was their debut album and had several hit songs. I can listen to the entire thing easily a few times while working or on long car rides, with no need to skip any songs. The lyrics are well written and Rob Thomas’ voice is strong, smooth (yes, I went there), and oh so very recognizable. 2. Never Let Me Down Again - I remember the first time I heard Never Let Me Down Again back in . It was featured in an episode of Jump Street for those who remember FOX channel Sunday night lineup before Married With Children took over. I think that episode was about a group of extreme thrill seekers out of control or something like that but as the opening credits rolled it said featuring music by Depeche Mode. To this day NLMDA remains one of my favorite DM songs.

3. Best DM Album Period. - Violator gets all the attention, but this is Depeche’s greatest album. From start to finish, it flows perfectly. Dave’s voice haunts every track he’s on. Alan Wilder’s musical genius creates a bleak European landscape that houses these “pop" songs. “Never Let Me Down” is one of those rare masterpieces that strangely gets better and more relevant every year. “Sacred” is vintage Martin, struggling with his faith and channeling it through dark, atmospheric pop songs. “Behind the Wheel” still puts the listener in a trance, while “Little ” and “Pimpf” are equally hypnotic. And the Martin anti-balled “I Want you Now” offers a sonic respite in the middle. “Strange love” still stands out at a fantastic pop/dance track with all the signature Depeche take on twisted love.

'Behind the Wheel' takes you to another world--'Nothing' will makes you instantly happy despite being about nothing happy at all--'Never Let Me Down' is the anthem of fanhood--'Strangelove' must be front and center in every New Wave playlist across the world--and how lucky are you to have Route and St. Jarna without having to buy the remix singles like we all did. 5. If you only own DM album ever, make it this one - Yes, sure…everyone loved Violator and it got lots of accolades and was the bands greatest commercial success etc and so on. And Violator is a great album indeed. But this album? This one is more than great. It is a work of art…it is genius. Every song on it is fantastic…EVERY SONG. I give it a listen from start to finish every so often and it reminds me of why I was such a huge DM fan in my teenage years and why I still am today.

7. On a roll after "Black Celebration"... - There's no topping "Black Celebration". There just isn't. But "Music For the Masses" is still a superb album. It grabs and maintains your attention. It makes you laugh, makes you sad, makes you dance...and, most importantly, makes you think. It's really a musical ellipses of sorts, starting with the hard-driving "Never Let Me Down Again" and closing with the equally dramatic "Pleasure, Little Treasure" (though not per the re-mastered edition). A great entry in their discography, and the second in a string of four stunning studio albums from DM.
