1. Childhood - This movie is one of a kind and always will be. It’s original, it’s heartwarming, and it brings you back to a simpler time of being a child. When I watch I remember the days I spent as a kid running around my neighborhood thinking my friends and I ran that block and our city. Nothing but respect for one of the classics which is this.

2. wow - just saw this and holy mercy it is the best baseball movie ever. for those watching with younger kids, there is some language. for writing geeks, it does not have a well developed storyline (meaning, it didn't really follow the rules of the whole rising action, climax, falling action thing). but! that can be ignored. i didn't notice it till afterwards. the humor and suspense covers all that up tho. SPOILER the parts with the most suspense always turn out happy, so younger kids won't have something to scar their little eyes forever. i will say, though the writers didn't follow the regular story-writing path, they did a very good job of balancing everything out. there's a little bit of everything in this movie. literally amazing. i cannot stop raving about this.

4. Fantastic family comedy - A great movie about a group of kids who come together for their love of a favorite outdoor pastime for many children. A fantastic job is made of taking you back to that pastime and setting the stage for what will become a story to share (and is shared) for years to come. The nervousness of being a new kid in the neighborhood and the fun that is made in making the newcomer ‘feel welcome’ and part of this little misfit family, the solidarity that is formed in resolving the issue that comes from inexperience and resulting lifelong connections are all on display in a plain and obvious and simple format for all to love. No character building! The characters are introduced and their wonderful little individuality and quirks are readily on display and loved. Most anyone can relate here. This movie shows the disconnect between ‘critics’ and real movie watchers. Critics are movie ‘snobs’ who are invested in making sure that other snobs don’t chide them for properly reviewing a movie. No account is taken when thinking of the middle-of-America average movie watcher.

7. One of the greatest family/comedy sports movie - I personally love the sandlot. The sandlot is such a hilarious funny movie of all time. I used to watch it a lot when I was a very little baby. I have so many memories about the sandlot. There is a lot of great memorable moments in the film you can ever imagine. Tom guiry, Mike vitar, Patrick renna, Brandon Adams, victor diamatta, and James earl jones were so amazing in the movie. Everyone of the kids were absolutely young because they were kids. I think Mike vitar was probably years old in the sandlot in . Tom guiry was probably or years old. There is such a true heartwarming story about a boy named Scotty smalls who moves to the neighborhood and he wants to make some friends by playing baseball at the sandlot and of course there's this big dog at the neighbors house and they think it's a beast. The sandlot is such a true sports classic.

2. He got game - By far the best basketball movie and father son movie ever. It really touched me were it all matters. I was inspired by the movie to work on my basketball game. Also the sex scence was a nice add to the movie. Best opening credits ever. A must see for any basketball fan or in this case any one who wants to see a perfect movie. 4. THIS MOVIE FRESH - I really appreciated Spike Lee's fim He Got Game. It blends inner city troubles with a star basketball player trying to make it. This movie has excellent basketball footage and realistic recruiting footage. It also has a great plot and story and I was extremely impressed with Ray Allens acting. You don't see athletes who can act so real. I recommend you buy this.

6. Very good movie... - Denzel is Denzel again in this movie, portraying Jake Shuttlesworth as a man whose life is filled with angst to great perfection. Ray Allen does a very good acting job for an athlete, and the supporting cast is good as well. Spike Lee has made a very good basketball movie and a very well done father-son movie. There are a lot of sex scenes for the movie, which seems out of place though. Still, He Got Game tells a very good story and has a really good feel too it.

Greatest Sports Movie Ever - Not only does this movie revolve around my favortite sport,it also is a great insperational motivator, not to mention has great acting from both Denzel and suprisingly, Ray Allen. $ is a great price for this amazing film. 9. Ray got game - Ray Allen's performance in this movie was better than any other NBA player/ Actor in the s (i.e Shaq, Michael Jordan, Penny Hardaway, Dennis Rodman, John Sally). It a great film that shows darker side of being a highly touted blue-chip baller. Although Denzel has two academy awards and is an incredible actor, he cannot handle the rock very well. All in all, it is a moving father and son movie that comes full circle in the end.

10. If you love basketball, you love this movie!!! - This is one of the best movies ever. I think it is the best movie i have seen that portrays the love for basketball. 11. Probably my favorite movie of all time - Nice job iTunes. This is an amazing movie. In my opinion, not only is it the greatest basketball movie, but also the greatest father-son movie. Denzel is on point as usual, great directing from Spike Lee (besides the kind of pointless sex scenes, but hey...can't complain) great photography, and great music (score by Aaron Copland and songs by Public Enemy, works perfectly) . Definitely a must see movie, and I'd buy it if I didn't already have it on DVD. It's nice to see iTunes is putting a lot of Spike Lee movies on here, but I'll wait for Malcolm X.

1. Really Not Good - So glad I missed going to the theater and watched it on Xfinity instead. I just wanted it to end. There is no plot to speak of. John Hamm is a terrible actor; the others aren't that great either. Not only was it boring and pointless, but by the end it also turned into a pro Obama, pro affirmative action propaganda piece. To think I was excited to see this movie when it first came out, but like I said I'm glad I missed the "opportunity" to see this movie in theaters. If you want a good Disney baseball movie (that has the All-American feel) buy The Rookie or Angles in the Outfield.

2. I knew it - Dumb as always... It happens like they fired the old director from all those good Disney movies, now it's like the same thing in every Disney movie, and it gets old! They could add a little comedy, but it just gets old! It feels like it's just for year olds now! When are they going to be original again... Also, the actors bad! The plot is the worst of it! When I first heard of," Million Dollar Arm," I thought it would be far more different than the plot/story in this movie! Disappointing!

3. Fantastic Baseball Movie - I saw Million Dollar Arm with my father and it was an awesome movie! We are big Baltimore Orioles fans and this movie introduced me to the sport of baseball besides watching it at a stadium. It is a great movie about baseball and how these two people from India played it and eventually got drafted into the Pittsburgh Pirates.

4. Light-Hearted and Entertaining - I think most people realize that when going into feel-good sports movies, particularly when they’re produced by Disney, they shouldn’t expect a masterpiece. The majority of these kinds of films rely on true stories and are designed to pull at your heartstrings, and usually they succeed in doing so. But from my point of view they have become a bit lackluster recently, constantly being churned out as a quick moneymaker. We used to see great flicks like “The Mighty Ducks” and “Remember the Titans” every few years but these kind of movies now come few and far between. And though Disney’s newest movie “Million Dollar Arm” certainly isn’t a substitute for those, its characters and lively tone elevate the otherwise dull story. Set in , the film follows J.B. Bernstein (Jon Hamm), a down-on-his-luck sports agent who will soon be run out of business if he doesn’t close the next big deal. Inspired by his best friend, he gets the brave idea to find and train Indian cricket players to become pro baseball athletes in America. Setting up a competition throughout India called Million Dollar Arm, we see his journey and eventual struggle to complete what he started. A bit generic at times and not without its flaws, the movie stumbles along the way. The pace is a tad too slow (not to mention the two hour runtime) and it takes a little while to warm up to the characters. But by the end, I’ll admit I was extremely invested in the story and was having fun. Rated PG for mild language, “Million Dollar Arm” is light-hearted and entertaining.

1. iTunes & Apple TV Extras and K needed - Good movie, but when will the Special Features and Apple TV & iTunes Extras, along with the extended version/directors cut of the movie be added as Apple TV & iTunes Extras as well as upgrading to K? I found this movie on Disney and found the all deleted scenes of the movie. This is really annoying to me when the Special Features appear on the Home Video releases of movies, but not on iTunes because technology is advancing everyday. I think it’s time that Apple and iTunes should make it mandatory for all movies that came with Special Features on home video be released on iTunes as Apple TV & iTunes Extras as well.

2. Awesome Movie - Glory Road is actually my favorite movie. It is funny in parts, sad in others, and it makes everyone feel great at the end. The way the movie is written allows you to feel and experience the wins, losses, and pain the players and the coaching staff go through. I doesn't matter if you like basketball or not, I can promise that you will enjoy this movie. The actors are very good at showing you what it was like at that time, no matter if it is historicly correct or not. :D

4. Historically Inaccurate - Right after this movie came out, I heard a radio interview of one of the players from the original team. He seemed like a really down to earth and believable guy. He said that almost all of the racial stuff was fabricated for "dramatic effect". He said they encountered very little racism and most people were pulling for them to win because they were underdogs, not booing them because of their color.

5. Special! - This is one of the rare sports movies that transcends the genre. It is one of the best films ever made by Jerry Bruckheimer. I would even go so far as to say it is the best basketball movie ever made. Partially because tells the profound story of the racial problems black athletes dealt with not too long ago. But the film is also heartfelt and funny and very fun to watch. The acting is excellent. Josh Lucas is increadible as Don Haskins, he literally diappears into the role. This is a great film.

8. "...great film...it just moves you and inspires..." - Glory Road does not have high-speed car chases, gun shoot-outs, booby traps, or big explosions... So why do people enjoy this film so much? Because it's inspiring! The movie puts you into the player's shoes, and you feel their pain and their emotions. When they are threatened, you feel scared. When they get in fights, you feel hurt. And when they get to the championship game, you CHEER! I've dared people to NOT get involved in this movie, and so far, it seems impossible. And if you ask me, even if a movie doesn't have these "blockbuster trademarks", it can still be a great film if it just moves you and inspires you! Buy/rent Glory Road, because for the two hours you're watching it, you'll be part of (in my opininon) the greatest journey through basketball EVER!

2. It Was Alright... - This was a movie that I thought would be really good, so a few friends and I went to go see it. There were some funny moments, like the Sausages (you know, those sausages that race around between innings at Brewers games). But I left the theater wishing it had been a better all around movie. I don't really know what else to say... except I did think that it was cool how the baseball team came back to get rd place in the National Leauge Central Division (hahah I find that funny, because the Cubs had nd place... of course, Cardinals in st). Overall, I wouldn't buy this from iTunes unless you have seen it before and you know you like it. If you haven't seen it, rent it first, and then decide if you want the iTunes movie.

1. a feel good movie - Once I heard the real Jim Morris interview on the Jim Rome radio showI had to watch in the theater. The actors did their homework in getting the terminology, excreting, etc. to authenticate the game of baseball. His confidence improved at each stage i.e., from the minors to the majors. What an asset to middle aged(average age in the mid-’s) men can still fulfill their athletic dream (in light of the current bashing of man in the media). Just as pro golfer Tom Watson leading the Open Championship in his early ’s (but lost in the playoff). Any man suffering from depression, this movie WILL lift one’s spirits up for a couple of hours!!!

2. Didn't work for me at all - I do love Baseball, and Sports movies in general. And there are precious few who cut the mustard. Sadly, this ain't one of them. Firstly, Dennis Quaid is nowhere near looking , but every day of the years (and then some) he was old when he shot this film. Secondly, he couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. He’s probably a nice guy and may even throw a good ball, but De Niro he ain't. His wooden demeanor and two or three facial expressions do fit the schematic Disney script, though. There is not one really likeable character in this movie, and you never get the feeling that the people on the screen are real people with real emotions, ties, a genuine connection. The movie is neither as warm-hearted as Annie's Men, nor as schmaltzy as For Love of the Game. It's more like other Disney Sports Movies, e.g. The Greatest Story Ever Told (about Golf legend Francois Ouimet). I’m glad I only rented this, but still it was , and (worse) time wasted. Sorry, but this film didn't work at all for me.

3. Thrilling and Inspiring !!!! - This is one of the best sports movies out there. The storyline is very inspiring as a highschool baseball coach fullfills his dreams of playing in the major leagues. The acting is pretty good and the little son is so adorable. All and all a great family movie. 5. Bringin' the heat - This is definitely a family affair. Heartwarming, sweet, and realistic, even for it's tall-tale touch. Dennis Quaid delivers as a man who finally goes after his dreams, and proves that even though you might be matured, you can still grow. It pleases me to know that some true stories can feel straight out of books that have happy endings.

6. The Rookie Quaid is a Movie Star - This is darn good true story. The entire cast is excellent, except for the actor who plays his son, that kids is awful, I believe his in the CBS TV Show two and half men. You don't even have to like sports to enjoy this movie. As everyone has said Dennis Quaid is great in this movie, as he always is, but there is a solid story behind this movie and the movie rocks. It is a solid star because of Quaid but when it comes to sports movies Bang the Drum Slowly is far better. So is Remember the Titan's and Denzel smokes in that movie.

3. Gotta love Fever Pitch! - I love the red sox! When this movie first came out it was the perfect timing. The Red Sox had just one the world series the year before, the curse was over and the movie shows this season. And the love story is amazing also. I wish it was my life. 2. Best Boxing Movie Since Rocky - This movie got it right. Sports at their best is more than just a game; wins and losses. They connect us to our potential and make us better. I think Rocky was so good because that element was the subtext of the story. Same here. It's about boxing. But really, it's about much, much more. A surprisingly good story and everything I've loved about Rocky since I first saw it almost years ago (!).

3. Excellent capstone to the Rocky franchise - The Adonis Creed storyline is an excellent one. Taking Sylvester out of the spotlight as the fighter and bringing in a young and talented actor to play Apollo Creed’s son. The first Creed laid the groundwork for a bit of a boxing renaissance for Rocky and toiling by Adonis to become the heavyweight champion of the world. The first Creed was packed with rich characters, that you came to care for and who drew you into their lives. Creed rehashes the Clubber Lang Rocky storyline and adds the Ivan Drago storyline from Rocky . But it’s a brilliant story. Highly engaging. The characters are rich and complex. With action scenes that that are involved, and thrilling. It’s a brilliant piece of boxing storytelling.

4. A Very Well Done Sequel - Continuing the Creed legacy with characters maturing beyond their troubled pasts. The fight scenes are formulaic but this ending has an emotional impact absent from any of the films in the Creed/Balboa series. Stallone's character is still important but moves further into the background here. There are no "mortal enemies" in this film - the Dragos are shadows of what they could have been had Rocky IV ended differently. The Rocky Universe is left with enough material to create a compelling Drago film that plays to their fallabilities vs. whatever villainies may have existed.

5. Drago Fan - This movie was predictable... shoulda been laid out more carefully like the first one. It had me pulling for Drago halfway through because his story seemed more appealing than Creed’s. Pretty good overall, more of a chick flick than a boxing movie - Rather well done movie, considering how many elements of the story were crammed into a hr. slot, which was not enough time for the whole story to be fully fleshed out, IMO. For example, due to a deleted scene, I didn't really get the idea of training in the desert until watching the extras. The family-related aspects of the story were adequately covered, but if you're looking for a gritty, funky boxing movie, this might not be it...your girlfriend will probably like it more...lol!

9. TRUE TO FORM - This is a movie for ‘Rocky Fans’. If you haven’t seen Rocky , then you should before or after seeing this sequel. I am old enough to remember the impact that Rocky made in my life. As a constant athlete in a state where being great at sports meant so much to everyone; I had to find iconic stories of training to push my focus on the power of training hard vs. the winning during a short game each week. I never really found the Rocky character very interesting because he was so different from myself. But with Rocky and the addition of Dolph Lungren... that all changed. Ivan Drago was such a powerful character who also trained with intensity beyond the level of most. Of course there was the hint hint of steroids adding to the power of this character. This was very believable in my world of football and power lifting. In the state I grew up in (and almost everywhere); strength enhancement was common and often the only way people could compete in a world of anomalies. But I saw the honor of working harder than anybody else to achieve this strength within the scenes of Rocky and within this movie years later. There were many parts of the film which I saw as ‘filler’ and certainly many people will find this film to be pretty hard to relate with. So it’s the fight scenes and the training scenes which made this film a good watch for me. Michael Jordan is truly a gifted actor as well as Sly Stallone. 6. Fatherless Fighter Makes His Own Name - I've seen Creed three times. It is the best movie I've watched in recent years. The Rocky movies have changed my life, especially the first one, because I feel like I relate to Rocky so well. This movie was no different. Adonis Creed, the son of the late Apollo Creed, Rocky's rival turned friend, who we saw die in Rocky , is trying to find his own way and his own name without a father in his life. Eventually he finds Rocky, and invites himself into Rocky's life. If you grew up without a father, you will relate to this movie very well. The pain in Adonis is incredibly familiar to those who had no masculine influence growing up. Michael B. Jordan plays the role perfectly- his passion, his loneliness, his anger, his determination to prove that he's here for a reason- it's all amazing. Highly recommended. Please watch and enjoy. 2. Well ... - I watched the entire movie, but my stomach was in knots. Diane Lane’s character essentially abandoned her family for this horse. I understand her motives ... and being independent ... but, her kids missed her presence in their lives. That was the first point off for me. Diane Lane then looked at the horse and decided he could run, like the horse was talking to her (even after being told she should give him rest). No, the horse was not ready to run! It seemed as though her character wanted to race the horse, with no regard to his wellbeing. Second point off. Also, Secretariat got Founder’s at and had to be euthanized (which I’m sure was in direct correlation to his racing days). Two points off. This movie just made me want to cry, for the horse! Why couldn’t he run free in a meadow, surrounded by hay? Yes, I understand he was a thoroughbred, and was meant to run. But, there’s a line between racing and animal cruelty.

3. Awkward movie, miss casting, bad writing and timing... - So, the movie will be enjoyable just because of the storyline. But, oh my, there is something wrong. The dialog feels phoney and corny, it's predictable and really just sort of awful. If I had to guess I would say the castng of the trainer is the problem. This is not a John Malkovich kind of movie. He is so utterly unbeleivable as a horse trainer....TERRIBLE decision as far as casting. He is way to wacky and quirky. And what is the scene where they break out dancing to "I'll Take You There", just WeIrd! The actors don't have any chemistry. I like the story but the movie is awful. The other odd thing is how the scenes transition way too fast, it makes them unbelievable, feels rushed. The writing, dialog is poor as well.

3. A cheery, above average teen flick - This movie came out when I was a teenager, and I loved it from the beginning. Now that I'm almost , it still feels like a semi-classic, and it never fails to make me smile. This was a fantastic role for Kirsten Dunst - she is about as charming and fun as she can possibly be, and the entire movie is funny. Aside from a few too many homosexual jokes and dirty language, it's definitely above average in terms of teen movies. 5. Missed it. - It would be difficult to make a person and story that is so amazing into a boring biopic, but the editors managed to do it. In some films, all the magic of a movie can be ruined by weak editing. Sometimes the length of a look or a pause makes all the difference. So many films these days seem to cut haphazardly from scene to scene and completely miss the timing of key moments. An example here (not really a spoiler alert, the editors already spoiled it): The moment he tells his wife he is a Brooklyn Dodger should have been an amazing moment, the greatest of the film. Instead he starts to tell her on the phone, never finishes, and the next scene she and everyone else knows. There is no reveal, no moment. So few filmmakers really know how to tell a story anymore. This story can almost tell itself an they still ruined it.

7. Jackie Robinson is an inspiration - Jackie Robinson had amazing guts to not fight back against discrimination and very prejudice and racist people. When Robinson came to the Dodgers his only teammate that supported him right away was shortstop, pee wee reece. It doesn't sound that hard to break major leagues color barrier, but Robinson had haters everywhere even his teammates were agianst him. Nobody would take care of Jackie after the game, he would be the last one out of the locker room to take a shower. Baseball was americas number sport at that time and no one was on his side. So this movie will show you how Jackie Robinson had the guts to do this and also just do what he is supposed to do help the Dodgers win!

2. Possible Future Figure Skater - I love this movie. Even though I don't skate, I want to. This movie has inspired me to want to become a figure skater, but my family doesn't have the money to do it. Where I live in New Orleans, Louisiana there are no ice skating rinks around here. Only on the northern part of Lake Ponchatrain there are ice skating rinks. If I could ice skate I would so do it. It's hard for me to even rollerblade, but I would try to do it. No matter what, I will try to skate one day. I have my heart on figure skating in the future.

7. a fun, comfortable film - sure, it's not accurate. i trust the competitive figure skaters leaving these one-star reviews. but it's just a movie, and a good one at that. the real theme is to go for your dreams, no matter how it affects anyone else, and this protrays that, but it's not trying to get the whole "learn figure skating in a month-thing" out. i loved it as a fourth grader, and i'm still into it now in highschool. so, even disregarding my full-fledged respect for all skaters out there, this isn't a classic, but it is entertaining to watch.

1. Wow, Just Painful to Watch - I didn’t remember anything about this except for the gopher, but everyone says it’s hilarious, so I got it to share with the family. First, I’m not against raunchy comedy, but there needs to be more to it. I think Used Cars is a classic! Raunchy comedy, completely un-PC, but with a great plot too. This movie is more like a series of loosely related (as in, taking place on a golf course) set pieces. Bill Murray’s mumbling performance is just embarrassing (although the shaped explosives are funny). Rodney Dangerfield was once considered funny? Boorish behavior has its place, but his is just cringeworthy. Then we get to the big caddy tournament, then it’s almost immediately over, then we shamble on looking for another purpose to continue. Ok, suddenly we have another big game, this time over a bet, but we don’t even know that until we’re in the game. Then it’s over, and the only memorable part is the gopher. How did these people manage to get it together just a few years later to make Ghostbusters? All I can say is if you have fond memories of this film, you were probably and drunk when you saw it.
