1. Brilliant & thoroughly entertaining podcast - I’m a new listener, and thank you, Brett, for putting this out in the world! It’s such a joy to hear you and your guests talk about life, death & movies. The most meaningful movie I’ve seen & can watch a million times — Forrest Gump. I remember seeing it with my parents when I was a teen, and it felt like I somehow connected to their younger selves as they grew up in the time period of the movie. The music is a perfectly aligns to key moments of his story, which I observed resonated with my parents, especially my mom. It’s a great film that highlights the imperfect beauty of life, love, and relationships. (Maybe this assessment is why Ted Lasso strikes a chord with me, right?) Cheers, and I’m excited to keep tuning in as a subscriber!

2. Worth every listen - Singin’ in the Rain is the film that means the most to me. I saw it in the theater with my late grandma who loved the films of the s and s, especially musicals. Singin’ in the Rain was the first film we saw together, just us - and with it, our shared love of film began. I cannot ever get through the opening without crying because it reminds me of her. This is my absolute favorite podcast. I’ve been listening very casually for two years and still have over half of them to go. Brett Goldstein’s appreciation for film shines through and the unpretentious way he speaks about them is incredibly relatable. Be excellent to each other

3. Your Neighbor Maureen Teaches Tai Chi to Rob Delaney’s Large Adult Sons - I saw The Sound of Music for the first time on Christmas Eve at my grandparents’ home when I was five. Captivated. Received it on DVD a few years later for my birthday. Portrayed a nun in the chorus of my high school production (too scared to try out for Baroness Shroeder, a great regret). My mom and I sing Climb Every Mountain till we piss ourselves laughing and drive my dad from the room. Anyway, making my way through each episode of the podcast in no particular order. Currently listening to Pete Holmes, rewinding and relistening to the bit around : where he Solves Existential Angst. You’re a gift, Brett Goldstein. Much love.

4. Never ever stop please - I learned of this podcast from a fellow Ted Lasso fan and I can not get enough. I have been listening so much to catch up. Thank you, Mr. Brett Goldstein, for helping me to realize that it is not weird that my life has been so impacted by films and tv and it’s ok to love them and be really into them. So far, the episode with Dane Baptiste is my favorite! I started following his podcast after hearing him blow my mind on this podcast. Brett Goldstein is easily now one of my favorite human beings to have ever existed and I only feel sad I didn’t know of all his wonderfulness sooner.

5. Wonderful comfort show - The movie that means so much to me is Adventures in Babysitting. When I was , an aunt took me to the movies to see Annie. After that, I didn’t set foot in a movie theater for five years as our family was really struggling to make ends meet. Then things got a little better. One night my mom was doing sometimes with friends and my dad announced to my brother and me, “let’s go to the movies.” We were confused but so excited, and we went to see Adventures in Babysitting which I loved (though who knows if it was just the experience). We really became a big movies family after that (video and theater), but I’ll never forget that first time.

6. Over Prepared - I spend my time listening to the podcast over, preparing for my answers for the day that I get invited on the podcast. I’m not a comedian or an actor or anyone of note so that’s not going to happen. But, should the need arise, I’m ready to tell Brett how much I love Pootie Tang. Chris Rock dressed as corn? Sign me up. Also very proud the Brett is a member of the tribe.

7. The movie with the greatest experience - My movie that means the most to be because of the experience is The Force Awakens. This was the first “grown-up” movie I took my son to. He was years old at the time, and he was so excited! It was also the first time I saw Star Wars in the theater. We both were practically shaking when the title crawl started… and I got a little emotional when Han and Chewy boarded the Falcon!

8. Incredible Podcast - Brett Goldstein is smart, kind, thoughtful, and curious. His film background and gift for asking insightful questions make every guest shine. It has made me reevaluate movies in my life and what they mean to me. I have used his questions to learn more about the people in my life! The film that I most relate to is Addams Family Values. I love Wednesday and feel her stuggle finding her voice in a world that does not understand her. This podcast is everything.

1. Excellent - Fascinating and professional. Great programs.
BIG PROBLEM I’ve had to stop listening because of the music. It’s so wrong. You’ll be telling a sad story, a death, snd there’s an upbeat silly song on the background. It doesn’t go with the topic. Please don’t do that. It’s cringe. Everything else is great but I have tuned out.
2022-11-02
2. Excellent podcast - I decided to listen because this was one of the top podcasts. I was surprised to see the low rating as I really enjoyed this podcast. It seems the low ratings are from easily offended people who consider any differing opinion just a side effect of “woke-ness.” sigh I found this to be an excellent podcast.
2022-07-22
3. Love How The Pod Has Aged - I’ve been listening to this pod since the beginning and I love how the format has changed. The current rendition is much more favorable than when the podcast was first released and l love it. I love this pod so much that I literally no longer even watch Netflix docs. I listen to the pod and I find that satisfying enough with no urge to even watch the shows. Keep it up!
2022-05-27
4. Tiger King - Softball questions with no follow-up for Tiger King makers to fluff their feathers rather than give substantive insights that people are really interested in. Real documentary filmmakers want to educate and make an impact - Goode and Chaiklin are reality show peddlers who obviously don't care about helping to end the exotic pet trade or they would join us in lobbying for the Big Cat Public Safety Act and would never drive a false narrative that helps prop up Joe Exotic as a folk hero. It says a lot that Goode and Chaiklin apparently won't do any media interviews except for this Netflix podcast. What substantive questions are they afraid of having to answer?
2022-02-21
5. Love it! - I love Netflix’s doc series and of course I adore anything Rebecca Lavoie does, so this is a win win. The conversations are engaging, pulling the curtain so we can see what really happened in some of these docs. Rebecca’s energy is so approachable and engaging, so all of the interviews feel like an enjoyable conversation between creatives.
2021-12-15
6. Disconcerting speaking style - I love the premise and content, but the host has a speaking style that is disconcertingly chirpy and cheerful, often at odds with the content being discussed. She speaks as if presenting an infomercial. I wish she would talk more normally I would give this podcast five stars.
2021-10-19
7. Britney v Spears - Fantastic documentary and this is a fascinating interview. Rebecca always asks all the questions I want to ask, and many many more. I feel like listening to her interviews has made me more inquisitive overall. I am in agreement with the documentarian, this is the type of film that exposes the underbelly of a case with a victim in plain sight to the world. EVERYONE should be questioning how forced conservatorships are happening to all kinds of people. I appreciate her passion, her film and this interview has struck a real chord with me. Rebecca, keep up the fantastic work.
2021-10-14
8. Quality Interviews - Rebecca Lavoie is one of the best interviewers out there. Hands down. The initial breakdown and diagnosis with Kevin Flynn is just gravy. When she interviews the directors it really gets into so much about what you want to know about all of these episodes. Sometimes i listen first to set the stage and sometimes again afterwards. I really liked the “Lady of the Lake”episode.

1. Love it - I listened to STWR from cold chicken fingers, so of course I had to give Hello Ross a try! As much as I absolutely LOVED STWR (even cried during the finally episodes ) I am not disappointed by Ross’s new podcast. Of course I miss the old podcast and all of the wonderful people he had join him there, but I still enjoy getting to listen to Ross and all of the people he interviews here.
2023-02-12
2. Wonderful! Amazing! So fun! - I love this pod. Ross is so fun to listen to! He is so kind and wonderful to his celebrity guests and the people he talks to on zoom! He talks about real things and gets real people to share their stories and insights. I love his viewpoint on things. Keep these coming!!!
2023-02-11
3. Sad ): - I really tried with this pod. I was a loyal listener to STWRM. I understand this is different and I wanted to like it, but I don’t. It’s pretty boring & is just like every other celebrity podcast…interviewing other celebrities. I understand straight talk ending, but I am not sure this was the right move.
2023-02-03
4. Blah… - I have followed Ross his entire career. One of the best! But this podcast is hard to get through. He said he would be interviewing “normal interesting people,” but so far it’s just him and a celebrity telling each other how wonderful each is. It just seems fake as if he is forcing himself to smile throughout the entire episode. I’ll keep trying to listen to see if it gets better but so far it is just too fake and co-celebrity promoting to be entertaining. This is definitely no “interesting normal people” like he suggests when he refers to Mr Rogers Neighborhood.

5. Honestly Disappointed - year fan. Supporter of every podcast he's had. Financial supporter of STWR. But this new podcast is overly scripted & sanitized. Just another generic interview show w/guests you can hear countless other places. It's like Ross is trying to emulate Cristina Ferrare but... in a bad way. It's inauthentic & not him at all. Mass market appeal & money-maker this is not. Holy crap it's bad. Please start over. The fans are here for you & we'll wait. Update: I asked a question on his paid Patreon about whether he plans to interview any of his Drag Race colleagues and weirdly got banned by Ross & received a message from him. Fan lost forever. So I'll add: forgot to mention Ross is still with Radio One/Podcast One/Cumulus. The network hosts & caters to the most homophobic shows on earth. Seriously, just check their website. Really, Ross? BEN SHAPIRO? Insane. The owner sexually harassed a friend of Ross, Heather McDonald, CAUGHT ON RECORDING. And Ross continues to work with them. Deeply disheartening. I've had discussions with him privately and he only offers vague excuses. He doesn't practice what he preaches here and is just afraid to rock the boat by refusing to profit from anti-LGBTQ bigotry. It's why so many have so publicly stopped working with him. P.S. The Leslie Jordan interview was recycled from his old podcast. He used it to profit from the death of the man, trying to pass it off as unheard. Didn't think I could be more disappointed but here we are.
2022-11-23
6. Chicken soup for my soul - That’s how this podcast makes me feel! Your ability to get to the heart of anyone you are talking to never ceases to amaze me. Been a big fan for decades and have been craving something like this since your talk show! Update: this show is so good I had to come back to add to my previous review. Martyn Lawrence Bullard is so fascinating and I, more than most likely, wouldn’t have ever got to “meet” him without Ross’s introduction. You’re interview skills are second to none and this podcast has quickly become the thing I look forward to each week.
2022-11-19
7. This is not STWR, it’s a new change for him - Seeing all these awful reviewers going after him and saying horrible things and so much negativity towards this new thing, I am very sad for you. This is A NEW JOURNEY FOR HIM! STWR was gonna end. We know this. With Nikki and Malone having their own podcast now and Malone with his own, it was a matter of time. Ross is in NYC and with Drew Barrymore and living his best life with his new husband. This new podcast is showing a side that Ross always wanted to do…be the interviewee. He even said he always wanted to be an Oprah or a Sally and that’s what he is trying to do. I personally like to see change. Yes STWR will be missed but Ross is “growing up” in the podcast world. Congrats Ross. I’ll always listen
2022-11-08
8. Miss the podcast :( - The interviews that Ross used to do with celebrities were my least favorite part of the podcast, so hearing that the new podcast is exclusively that is very disappointing. I remember Ross saying that the listeners really care about their personal lives and silly things they talk about—he was right! I miss them. It’s just not fun to listen to when Malone and Nikki aren’t there to goof around with Ross. I don’t care about celebrities! The new podcast feels so inauthentic and impersonal. I hope the old episodes are uploaded again someday.

1. Woooow - Wooooow jinx, I knew the universe had a message… but you really confirmed it for me. I always had a sneaking suspicion that hard work is what made things special, but the way you explained it to me today really convinced me that i was on the right track!!! Thank you for the inspiration Xoxo nicky @werkhunty
2023-02-20
2. Please listen to the reviews Jinx! - Please let your guests speak! I love you Jinx , and I love your guests as well but they cannot get a single word in without you interjecting so much. Like others have stated, it’s not a conversation it’s a Jinx monologue and hey I would love a Jinx monologue- but it’s different when you can hear the frustration in the guests voices
2022-11-30
3. Love Jinxx but let guests talk! - I really love Jinxx and like the podcast. However, as the podcast has gone on I’ve noticed that Jinxx has a really hard time letting the guests actually talk. Often it feels like the guest are brought on to let Jinxx unpack the same stories of her childhood trauma over and over. Stop interrupting when they speak (although this seems a consistent theme across all the MOM shows)
2022-09-21
4. Not what I expected - I absolutely love Ms Monsoon and really enjoy her other podcast. This podcast unfortunately doesn’t give us anything new or uniquely Jinkx. It’s just celebrity interviews talking about the standard road to fame and other industry stuff. I’d love to see some other types of episodes or segments mixed in that give us more of Jinkx.
2022-07-22
5. this is a complisult - I love you jinx but you have the tendency to take over the episode and not interview— just talk and have the other person listen to you. I mean, it is your show so you can do whatever you want, but if you are interviewing a guest on your show it would be nice to actually hear from them —just a wish from a weekly listener. It doesn’t happen all the time — and story telling is great. But, when I’m listening, it sometimes feels like the guest is just there listening to you instead of it being an actual conversation.
2022-07-19
6. The Veteran Dave episode warmed my heart - Thanks to both of you for this episode!
So wonderful to here Dave’s take on everything and Jinx’s appreciation for him, and thank you Dave for your service in the military and the LGBTQIA movement/ world I wish I was this strong! This was truly an education;) and I feel like a better queer person for listening to this, I laughed, I cried I was joyous… THANK YOU!
2022-06-08
7. Both a blessing and a squeal! - Living for how much I’m loving this. First time first time and I’m midway through binging
All the episodes (except the minute ones/teasers. What can I say, it’s darling, inspiring, and bridging the gap between humans and the robotic-Intellect running the simulation. As a human, I enjoy it greatly. As a woodland-forest witch, I enjoy simmering in the information and the joys and laughter. Blessings
2022-06-07
8. I mean… it’s Jinkx. What else do you want? - Jinkx is an amazing and entertaining host. She has had excellent guests so far and does a really great job in terms of interviewing them. I like how this podcast keeps me laughing but can also touch on more serious topics. My favorite guest so far was Harvey Fierstein!

1. Can’t decide on format - The original idea, I think, was to get to know people and explain the industry to the fans and general public. This started with an audio format with an additional video background to actually see the actors as they might act a character. This has turned into a video based format that leaves out audio listeners. Now audio listeners need to watch first so you don’t miss the visual cues. Not great for audio only.
2022-10-26
2. Radtacular VO Pod - I Hear Voices fills the void from the equally awesome Rob Paulsen’s Talkin Toons. The VO actor community seems genuinely nice, and Christy and Will are no exception. I also appreciate and respect their efforts to promote artists interested in the industry. Keep up the great work!
2022-10-12
3. Miraculous ladybug - Please have the miraculous ladybug and cat noir character voices. I would like all the characters voices please Podcast idea you should have a podcast of you too and you talk to Kim and Ron and you should have a conversation with them. ( I know there played by the host of this podcast)
2022-08-15
4. Kim Possible.......Not just for kids! - My two daughters grew up watching and loving Kim Possible. I watched the episodes along with them. Each of us liked different things. They would like the episodes for just the content. I’d like the inter-action between Kim and Shego; and Shego’s put-downs of Dr. Dracken. (One of my dogs is named Shego!). Great show! Great podcast! Keep it going!
2022-06-07
5. Oh my word!! - Did I just five star this podcast after just hearing the trailer? Yes. Yes I did! I have always wanted to get into voice acting and it’s gotten to the point whenever I read stories to my kids they ask me to just read it normally and without a voice is this time. Yes it stings a little bit but I still do some of the voices anyway.
2022-05-20
6. Mic Drop - I look forward to each episode every week. You guys invite such fun and insightful people and I love getting a peek into that world behind the mic! Will and Christy have such a joyful vibe and connection to each other which is so lovely.
I am a nerd and also have a love for acting. My fiancé and I always do voices and he tells me I have the knack for it because I have the acting chops too. ;) Living vicariously.

7. Fans of Voice Actors, lend me your ear! - A delightful and informative podcast for anyone who is a fan of animation voice work.
The great energy between Christy and Will carries over from their Emmy winning show. And when it comes to asking questions about what it’s like and what it takes to work on both sides of the microphone, these two veteran voice actors do a wonderful job of asking the right questions, and uncovering some interesting and amazing stories! So far, my favorite episode is the interview with Kevin Conroy a.k.a. the BEST Batman ever! Who’s got two thumbs and is super excited for their future podcast and guest? This guy, right here! Thanks KP and Ron!

8. Makes my day. - I am so thankful for this podcast. I follow Christy on YouTube. So that is how I found the podcast. I really like that they post both video and audio only renditions of the show. It allows me to listen anywhere and still he entertained. It’s a very interesting podcast. I enjoy learning about the process of voice acting. The show really perks up my day every time I listen/watch. Right now my day to day can get really stressful as I help care for my father who has cancer. I have listened to I hear voices while my dad is in PT. Dueño my stressful days I can count on Christy, Will and their guests to make me genuinely laugh; something oh so precious to me in this season. Thanks for cheering up my day.

1. Great SW talk - It’s a fun show because it’s like sitting around in a coffee shop chatting with fellow SW fans. Sometimes you agree, sometimes you think they’re way off (especially on the pronunciation of CAP’N Crunch) but that’s the fun. Plus, then you get the interviews with the key players of the universe.
2023-03-16
2. It’s fine I suppose - Come for the hosts’ solid access to Star Wars material, creators, content, etc., and genuinely entertaining discussions of all that. Leave once the repeated interjection of the word Like renders it unlistenable. It’s also weird that the hosts have spent the past Disney shows (Obi Wan & Andor) repeatedly complaining about the pacing…while complimenting much of the story/show-content that seems specifically good because of how things are paced. But to each their own, I guess; it’s a very decent show.
2022-10-27
3. Great Podcast! - I started listening during Obi-Wan and now I go straight to it after every episode of Andor - I love how it goes up right after the show drops and I always find the discussions very interesting. Through this podcast I also heard about and started listening to Devan’s other podcast - All Rings Considered - and although I wasn’t a huge Lord of the Rings guy I’m also loving that show and podcast. Hope you keep these up even after the current shows are over.
2022-10-13
4. New Favorite Podcast - Please keep this podcast going past the Obi Wan show talking about current, past and future Star Wars shows. I admit that I wanted to listen to this podcast mainly because it has my EW fave Dalton Ross (seriously, you could be talking about peanut butter and I would find it fascinating), but the mix of Star Wars fan and nerdom, interesting guest stars like Indira Varma, Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Rupert Friend, and show runners, engaging discussions like the top Star Wars characters make this a super duper interesting and engaging podcast. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
2022-06-14
5. War of the Stars!!! - The podcast hosts are absolute stars themselves, and it’s been a battle to decide who’s my favorite. Listening to them talk about the franchise is honestly delightful. They’re so knowledgable and thorough, which I really appreciate. Take a listen, you won’t regret it. Han shot first!!
2022-05-12
6. Life's too short - Because life’s too short for EW podcast running times, I skipped ahead to the credits, which brings the Darren and Kristen's idiocracy together. The credits also features drivel and a masked virgin set to some truly ridiculous retro-softcore music. I do think there’s room for a mature-content podcast romp in our post-listening to the podcast review universe, but eternal exposition runs alongside a tin ear for dialogue.
2019-12-25
7. Missing the Point - If you love people complaining and being negative, this is your podcast! I don’t know why they even bother. It’s one thing to “review” films but it’s another to just whine, stutter, and pretend like you know how to even make a movie. Do yourself a favor and search for the Binge Mode podcast. They review, and critique, and do everything professionals do, but you’ll enjoy the hell out of it along the way.
2019-12-20
8. A New Top-Notch Star Wars Podcast - Only a few weeks old as I write, this Star Wars podcast has instantly become one of my favorites in that category. The hosts are smart, funny, perceptive, and fun. Surprisingly, I’ve learned new information and gained new insights even about the old films. This is what happens when each of the hosts is a (very good) professional critic and knowledgeable Star Wars fan. Enthusiastically recommended!

1. The best interviewer - This is absolutely my favorite interview style screenwriting podcast. I’ve listened to so many interviewers talk with screenwriters and Al is SUCH an amazing interviewer. The balance of being personable, respectful, asking the best questions and bringing out the the best answers from the interviewee without overly inserting himself into the conversation/interrupting/etc. These interviews are informative, delightful, and so helpful for an emerging screenwriter. I can actually relax while listening instead of being filled with secondhand social anxiety like I normally am. Ha. Thank you Al for being so wonderful!
2022-06-09
2. Insightful and inspiring. - Well done Al. You dive deeper than Tom Daley and unpick the tangle of screenwriting so we can learn from other writers’ experience, where they were, what they were thinking, what was going on around them, and how they got the story from script to screen. Writing can be a solitary calling and you create a feeling of community. Thanks.

3. “Needless to say, there won’t be a Script Apart episode on CRASH anytime soon. (snicker)” –Al Horner - “Needless to say, there won’t be a Script Apart episode on CRASH anytime soon. (snicker)” –Al Horner. What were you thinking? Wow. Needless to say… you weren’t. Clean this up, Al. Awesome job scoring points with your guest, whose film lost to Crash at the Oscars. But classless job leaving it in the episode.

4. A wonderful podcast for film lovers - This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. Imagine being able to attend a Q&A with the writers of your favorite movies, where they answer questions about how they transformed unpolished nuggest of ideas into the amazing final screenplays we love, hosted by a likable, intelligent moderator. I just saw an episode for Terminator appear in my feed and was so excited to listen, I knew it was time for me to leave this review as a recommendation and a thank you.

Pistone came up on the mean streets of Patterson, New Jersey before going deep undercover and spending six years inside the Bonanno and Columbo crime families. In the new podcast “Deep Cover-The Real Donnie Brasco,” Joe Pistone shares the true stories of his time with The Mob to his friend, and our host, actor Leo Rossi. 1. Great show - Great show, Joe is a fascinating guy and they bring really interesting guests on pretty regularly. I could do with fewer Leo stories - he works in the fact that he wrote the first script for Gotti and that he goes to mass every day at least once an episode. Other than that, these guys really do a great job.
2021-07-22
2. Joe and Leo are fantastic! - This podcast is so interesting and the friendship dynamic between Leo and Joe makes it even better. Joe is an absolute legend and the way he recounts his memories with such detail is incredibly impressive. Listen if you want insight into how the old school mob operated and lived.
2021-04-25
3. Great job Joe! - I just found this podcast and listened to all available episodes in two afternoons! It brought back a ton of great memories from stories I’ve heard you tell over the years. Joe, you’ve always been a good friend and my mentor in this undercover thing we love so much. Take care and keep telling the stories from your rich and unique history! Steve D.

4. Hands down st round KO to all contenders. - Let me first say (and you might call me a nut) but I have seen Donnie Brasco no lies over times. I sleep with the TV on and go to sleep with my favorite movies playing. I drift off and if I wake I might start another movie from my list (list in my head). Sometimes I will watch the same movie for or weeks and no other in the rotation. Of late Donnie Brasco has been going for over weeks. There are nights where I might watch the whole movie and crash on the nd (Goodfellas, All GF’s, Bronx Tale, yada yada) movie. Due to Covid I have been work from home since March but even at work I always have one beats pro or Klipsch in and I’m listening to podcasts while I work (during football season it’s strictly football pods, Sirius XM fantasy, etc.) but about a week ago I heard a commercial for this Pod and it’s on me, but ran through the whole Pod in days. It takes a strong Podcast to get a week out of me because I switch around but I took to this pod like a fiend. No other type of media have I ever felt like I was just sitting there watching Joe & Leo reminisce. The entire show from the front of the house to the back, working in unison and providing the audience with perfection.

5. Great great show! Can’t wait for - Can’t wait for the next set of episodes!! Here’s a thought, now that The Bulls out and has his podcast, wouldn’t it be an unbelievable conversation between Mr. Pistone with Leo facilitating the conversation? Especially the Castellano hit. You’d have both sides. A top top dog in the Outfit/mob and the top top undercover, that would be indescribable. God bless you both!!!
2020-12-29
6. On the fence - I like the show , but I’m still on the fence if pistons is a good guy or not . On one hand he put lots of bad guys in jail and on the other , he betrayed a group of guys that trusted him . I love mob stories and pistons don’t give a sit west I think lol so I’ll listen any way .. thanks for the show guys

7. Donnie Brasco - Besides knowing Joe personally, I thought the podcast was down to earth, all real and very informative Great podcast, being a close friend of Joe makes it x better. A true Hall of Famer in the Law Enforcement world. Joe is the GOAT. Keep the series continuing! The shows keep getting better and better. Its an eye opener and you cant beat first hand info
2020-08-07
8. The real Donnie Brasco - This is better than the movie! Listening to Joe Pistone tell the story of his undercover escapades is more suspenseful; and TRUE! This guy grew up in Paterson (as did I) and was in-training for this role his whole life. Thus was the ‘real’ guy that chose the right path when he could just as easily taken the wrong fork in the road.
Great listening!!!

1. disappointed .. no critical lens - I was really disappointed in the analysis of “X” and especially “Pearl”. The hosts talked about being unsatisfied by the lack of "answers" Pearl provied. I don't think it's about that. It's about painting the landscape and building context. There doesn't have to be an explicit "why". Pearl’s psychopathic behavior is shaped and brought to a head from her experience as a woman of that time. She was brought up in a repressed household- her parents being first generation German immigrants, and a repressed society plagued by pandemic and war. The hosts talked about why pearl didn’t explain the “sex stuff” in X but you have to fill in the blanks. Think about the scarecrow scene.. think about how the projectionist showed her a pornographic film for the first time.. and now think about the conservatism of the time Pearl grew up in addition to the restraints her mother imposed on her, and how she ultimately never escaped it. It was my first time listening to this podcast- I picked it after skimming a few other podcast descriptions after reading that FPS had in depth discussion I clicked. I was let down…. It all felt like a really subjective read with no real critical lens or context.

2. Confused by star ratings - So, I only listened to one podcast and actually couldn’t listen to all of it so this is based off my initial impression which isn’t good. The three hosts constantly talk over one another which makes any movie review difficult to follow. The audio quality is atrocious and the movie that was reviewed wasn’t even a review. It was merely phrases “I ain’t mad at it” which brings nothing to the table. On top of that, it was evident the hosts weren’t prepared to discuss the movie they had just watched since they didn’t know the setting which as presented early on in the film. Therefore, I am confused by the ratings that praise this. Again, maybe it was the one episode I chose to listen. Unfortunately, this podcast isn’t for me.

3. Focus - I don’t understand how you review movies & TV Series without paying attention to the movie or TV Series. It’s almost like they review stuff while on their phones or doing something else that takes attention elsewhere. My other issue is THEY HATE EVERYTHING You can’t go down the “Poor Writing” road but so much until people start to ask: What have you written?
2021-08-20
4. The best ever - This is the best podcast I’ve listened to. I find myself listening to reviews of movies i haven’t even watched. The cast here are awesome at putting things into different perspectives and really breaking down the movies to make It make more sense or less sense. The cast really puts in the work and are hilarious. I love this podcast!

5. NICK THE GOAT - hey guys just wanted to say I’ve been a fan since y’all reviewed Kendricks Section whatever year that was. FPS is my favorite format for you guys and that is mainly because of one Mr Nick. Nick brings such a breath of fresh air to you guys’ dynamic it is actually great. Hope to see Nick in more of you guys’ projects and hopefully he shows up in a DEHH video one day.
2021-02-12
6. Been following DEHH since !! - Love the content. Appreciate the hard work you all have put into growing your platform. Grown to listen to ITMSO and FPS more than what got me into y’all, album reviews. Basically if you guys review an album, I’ll check it out regardless but I love the insights into culture on your podcasts. Would love to see a review of Blade Runner on here, with all the dystopia going on currently. Keep up the great work, guys!

7. Black is king episode - I enjoyed your review of Black is King. I haven’t finished watching the whole show because we’ve lost our internet due to recent weather. I was curious about what people thought Beyoncé was trying to portray in this show. I too found it beautiful and confusing in regards to the story. I understood the references to lion king but felt there was more but couldn’t quite figure it out. Thanks for your thoughts. I liked the show and hope I can finish watching soon.

8. Super Entertaining - I have been a long-time watcher of the Walking Dead since the beginning and have listened to the Frames Per Second podcast’s reviews of the show through the seasons. Ken, Myck, Beezy, Feefo, Rod, etc are fun to listen to, they have great chemistry and the reviews are funny and attentive to the themes and characters we have grown to know. Super Entertaining.

Comments
1. I’ve reviewed this podcast in the past. - Sonny’s interviewing style has developed to a point now where nobody can dispute he is one of the very best. I just now listened to his discussion with Ken Auletta, and there are no flaws in this discussion. Perfectly done. I learned so much. FYI, I wrote this on my own without encouragement. Sonny has no clue who I am. Just found his website through the intercession of goofy priests. Hopefully he will never grow tired of what he’s doing!
2022-07-29
2. Sonny does it again - I was a fan of ATMA & of course the SubBeacon pod, so it’s not at all surprising to have yet another top notch podcast from Sonny Bunch. I love the interview format. As someone who enjoys movies but knows very little about how they are actually made, I’m learning a lot. The D ep was fantastic!
2020-09-12
3. D Podcast Bulwark goes to Hollywood - Fascinating discussion on the art and business of D movies. If this sounds dry wait till you hear Tony Davis spin tales. Great to listen to Sonny Bunch’s excitement as he realizes he has podcast gold. Sonny unchained in these podcasts is an informative / entertaining host
2020-08-17
4. A Rarity Among All the Film Podcasts - There are a lot of podcasts about film...like, a lot. What sets “The Bulwark Goes to Hollywood” apart from the rest is that it focuses on the business side of the film business. It’s both insightful and interesting about an industry is changing faster than we can keep up.
2020-08-13
5. Sonny’s very good - Nobody has more interesting insight into the business side of Hollywood than Sonny Bunch. As Hollywood transitions into strange, uncharted territory Sonny is the perfect man to guide us through the madness. Disclosure: Sonny gave me a t shirt last month but that won’t cloud my impartiality.

Comments
1. Scott does all the homework so we don’t have to - I have listened to every episode of this podcast! Scott Feinberg is an insightful and diligent interviewer. All the guests (except for one notable one) on this podcast feels engaged with Scott so every conversation is rewarding for the listeners. If I had a nickel every time a guest says “Scott, you really did your homework!” I would be able to afford eggs if you love movies and movie history, start listening!

2. This Is Not Journalism. It’s PR - You are a cog in the misogyny wheel in Hollywood. FYI: The Hollywood Reporter was the gossip rag of choice by Harvey Weinstein to dispute the fact that Weinstein was a rapist, and horrific monster to women. Then, listening to the awful statements made by Scott about how Harvey Weinstein treated HIM (during the Renée Zellweger interview). This is not a podcast: this is a public relations piece for every single Hollywood star Scott and his team can get their fingers on. Couple that with the fact that you have multiple pieces still listed with men accused of, and proven to have sexually harassed, assaulted & intimidated
women available (Weinstein, Woody Allen, Louis CK) demonstrates the lack of character that this podcast and its entire staff holds.
2022-12-10
3. Scott asks the questions I don’t even know I have - Scott is a great interview partner for the featured guests. He gives their answers room to breathe but drives the conversation forward at a great pace. I am able to better understand the art created by the guests because of his interviews. Highly recommend!
2022-12-08
4. Best Podcast EVER!!! - I started listening to Awards Chatter a few months ago. I started with episode and I’m now on episode . I just can’t get enough! Scott Feinberg is an amazing host and asks the sometimes hard questions with such respect and grace. There is a genuine love and respect for the entertainment industry and all of the players in it that really shines through. As an actor and podcast host myself, I really appreciate the conversations. They inspire me everyday to keep going! Thank you for this podcast. I LOVE IT!

5. Interesting guests with an annoying host - Sure, sure, the guests are acting icons and I’m interested in what they have to say but I find the host, Scott, more often than not annoying. First, the voice. Ugghhh! Second, he does this “mhmm.. mhmm… hmmmm” back to people like Gary Oldman or Robert DeNiro which is rather disrespectful and unprofessional.
2022-04-10
6. My favorite podcast! - Scott does a ton of research and asks good questions. It’s interesting to hear about artists’ backgrounds and what has influenced them through the years. I was more interested in the awards season because I had learned so much about the different films and creative people involved.
2022-03-29
7. Tone Deaf moment killed my interest - I used to absolutely love this podcast but Scott’s handling of bringing up Woody Allen was mortifying. Allen man is widely known and accused as being a rapist. Yet Scott chose to hype him up in his interview with Penelope Cruz and emphatically implied what an honor it is working for him. As a journalist, there is a way to phrase things and these handle things. He could’ve simply acknowledged the movie and Allen without any of the editorialism. Extremely insensitive to his victims. Has Scott and the Hollywood reporter not learned anything? This is very disturbing and disappointing.
2022-01-27
8. Gillian Anderson - Best interview I’ve heard in a long time! I’ve been a huge fan of her for years and you asked so many questions I wanted the answers to! Talk shows always are too quick, and usually about topic, but this was so informative and enjoyable. I learned so much about one of my favorites! I’ll definitely check out other interviews.

1. Love Phase Zero - Not a really a big comic book fan, but love Marvel movies and TV shows and this show is a great listen for Marvel fans who don’t have a huge knowledge of the marvel comic world, but get hype about the new MCU releases. Love the core cast on the show plus guest Cam Heyward. They have great chemistry. I do get sad when other guest hosts come on…they tend to overshadow the other co hosts and the show doesn’t flow as well. Not all voices are heard.

2. Such a great podcast! - Love how positive the show & commuinity always is. Started downloading episodes now that I know that helps more. I usually watch on youtube. My question is, if I'm not mistaken Holland has one more apperance in current deal. Where would you most like to see that happen? To me obvious answer is Daredevil. Even though it's less likely I like the idea of him being in Secret Invasion because Fury not being on world when spell was cast so he should be one of the few who knew his identity and he could trust Spider-Man agaisnt Skrulls.
2023-01-30
3. podcast on the air - Listener since day . I love the dynamic of the group of BD, Aaron, Jamie and Jenna. Even jailhouse Jim. The news, and conversations of marvel project are top notch. What has better odds of happening… Thunderbolts has skrulls on the team or the reason Daredevil born again is episodes is cause it finally is a show that occurs during the blip with time jumps to current MCU day?
2023-01-30
4. Awesome podcast!! - I love your podcast!! Big huge marvel fan, so question for you guys? I am a Daredevil fan, the Daredevil series about to film and heavy rumors is that there’s going to be a lot of team ups. Who would you love to see Matt team up with? Mine might pretty obvious but it’s Spider-Man
2023-01-26
5. I love this podcast and I have a question! - I have been listening to you since late and have listened to every episode since! For your upcoming podcast where you will be answering questions, I have a good one. If you could choose two characters to team up who would they be? I would have Ms Marvel and Ironheart because they would be so funny together and have such great chemistry! -Ethan

6. Annoying - Listened to this pod for the first two years. It was never one of my favorites but I gave it its chance thinking that being the sister pod to Comicbook Nation, it would eventually become better. It hasn’t. It feels like the host and some of the panelists are making it to amuse themselves more than to entertain the listener. Today, I unfollowed it. Won’t miss it.
2023-01-12
7. had to write a review… - you guys finally covered my favorite topic which is the idea of a movie taking place in another universe and it’s only revealed later. my dream Fantastic Four movie involves us seeing the origin of the team, with Krasinski as Reed, only for the post credits scene to reveal its from the universe and we’re at Reed’s funeral following Wanda turning him into noodles. that being said i’ve been following the podcast since the very beginning, one of my favorite MCU things to take in. i’ve reviewed else where but got on the Apple Podcast app just to give you five stars here too.

8. Such an enjoyable crew! Phase Zero is just tops! - I kinda-sorta remember why I started listening to Phase Zero. It could have been around San Diego Comicon when Marvel/K.E.V.I.N. got on stage and introduced several new properties/sequels/phases… I dunno… I was trying to find out in real time what was going on but most of the other channels were kinda lame. Then I caught a recap from Phase Zero on their YouTube channel and I felt a true connection with this crew… these aren’t just entertainment guys the Phase Zero crew is made up of FANS… and they’re KNOWLEDGABLE FANS!!! My goodness! I started listening to their more recent podcasts and began listening backward… then I rewatched “Loki” and decided to listen to the Phase Zero “Loki” podcasts and loved their reactions. I did the same for “Ms. Marvel,” “Hawkeye,” and “Moon Knight” - I still have some episodes to listen to from way back in the day, but I’m pretty much caught up - and I WISH that Phase Zero did a podcast maybe two or three times a week instead of just on Thursdays. The perspectives are fun, they are SO inclusive and respectful of fans of all ages, races, religions, etc… they are humble and admit if/when they’re wrong (which isn’t that often) - but I LOVE how friendly they are with each other. I’d honestly love to join this crew on a podcast and chit chat about upcoming movies or shows (especially Ant-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy - that’s my JAM) - I’d have so much fun just TALKING with them. Anyhow… sorry… I’m supposed to give you reasons why you should listen to this and not fanboy out on a fanboy program… but honestly, you couldn’t find a better group of people to geek out on Marvel with. The guests they’ve brought on are amazing (I mean the Michael Giacchino/Jessica Gao interview was so incredible I blocked off my work schedule just so I could watch/listen to it in real time). Listening to Phase Zero reinvigorates my love for all things Marvel and I’m pretty sure this podcast needs to continue for as long as it possibly can. Keep up the excellent work BD, Aaron, Jenna, Jim, Jamie and the rest of the crew! Thank you for giving me an extra hour of joy every week!

1. From a different type of director - Amazing show that I have recommended to several of my students who want to go into filmmaking. I am not in the filmmaking community, but I am a band director and stills photographer who very much enjoys the industry. These guys are entertaining, dynamic, and enthusiastic about sharing their directing experiences with this community. They choose relevant guests and include just the right amount of sarcasm (wooo). I also thoroughly enjoy unpaid endorsements! Thank you guys for all you do.

2. A Filmmaker’s Journey Worth Following - I started listening to these guys back in . It was their th episode entitled “A Tale of Two Orens.” Six years later, they’re well over episodes and I’m still listening. It’s a podcast for erstwhile filmmakers hungry to “make it.” The ironic beauty of this successful podcast is that Matt

3. Constantly Valuable - I think I’ve listened to at least episodes and I find value in everyone. There are so many tips and pieces of inside knowledge that you probably can’t get anywhere else when it comes to commercial directing. On a programming note I love the flow that comes with each episode. A lot of film podcasts have a way getting way off topic and it eats away at the run time. This duo are like ying and yang they balance each other out so well and usually spotlight both sides of the coin with each topic. thank you Oren and Matt for this show.
2022-08-31
4. Best Filmmaking Podcast Out There - The rigorous attention to the daily mechanics of directing, writing, producing coupled with the sincerity and passion from Matt and Oren are unparalleled. Listen to them, listen to their guests, and you will be able to not only make a film, but have a strong sense on how to navigate the (wild) entertainment industry. I began bingeing this podcast during the pandemic, and it armed me with everything I needed to know to shoot my first short film, including the encouragement to "just shoot it". Most importantly: write to your resources. My first film ended up winning awards in a few film festivals, and I have since directed two more shorts, one of which premiered at a BAFTA-qualifying film festival (my dream festival!), and I was recently named to a Director to Watch list from an industry publication, and have several commissioned projects in que for . Seriously, I feel like I owe everything to this podcast (will be donating to their patreon shortly!). Favorite part of the podcast: when Oren or Matt stops their guest and says, "wait, let's unpack that". It is always where I find myself wanting to know more granular details, and these two always prod for the juicy info that typically gets glossed over in other podcasts. Love this. Oren, thank you for addressing the nitty gritty of how parenthood affects the life of creatives (mom of two young ones here, married to a composer). The naivete can be staggering, but it’s so important to discuss.

5. Great Show About that Covers the Process of Filmmaking - This is a solid show in the filmmaking podcast network. I’ve been listening to Oren and Matt’s podcast along with a select handful of others as I’ve been directing my own first feature the last few years. Very informative. They cover a good array of topics and some great discoveries have been made. In these wild times we’re living in with an onslaught of over information, it’s great to have a few solid staples that deliver great content and episodes on a regular basis. Remember, when all else fails, Just Shoot It! It’s a great call to action.
2020-10-14
6. Existential-... Triumph? - Listening to over episodes over the course of several months, I finally caught up to current events and WOW. Matt and Oren discussing their triumphs and misery so open and honestly, along with their incredibly insightful and sincere guests, makes for an entertaining and supremely educational show that I am so incredibly happy to have found. I’ve saved a handful of quotes to later be put on T-shirts, but I shall end this review with these : “If you stick it out, your odds are better than in ” (Oren) and “Steven Spielberg was never a shark.” (Matt)
2020-06-12
7. Fantastic Podcast - Matt and Oren consistently deliver a high level look into the industry from a modest point of view....from the perspective of “I’d like to get there one day.” In that, it’s very relatable while also being informative and inspiring. I appreciate that Matt and Oren have different opinions, and how unapologetically Oren asks guests the questions we all want to ask but probably wouldn’t. I also appreciate how many of their shows feature female creators (at least since I’ve started listening). Slowly I’ve stopped listening to other filmmaking podcasts because I get so much out of this one. Two thumbs up.
2019-12-08
8. Definition of what a podcast is - Just Shoot It is the reason why I continue to listen to podcasts. Not only is the show creative but it is presented by two individuals who truly have a passion for leadership, creativity, and assisting others in their journey. Their selfless dedication to those trying to learn what it takes to be a part of film is truly admiring. I recommend that everyone experience this podcast with open arms. One thing that I’ve learned while listening to the past few podcasts is that there is a very restricted side of film wherein it takes months to years to complete a project though the actual film is complete. This is due to management and quality control or broadcasting. If you want to learn about the above as well as go through an in-depth review on these facets of filmmaking, I implore you to take a listen. RECAPPING FROM : If you are asking for a manager or agent, you should probably just shoot it first! Dakota

1. Excellent interviews - Caroline is a gifted interviewer. Instead of interrupting with her own personal anecdotes, as some podcasters do, she listens carefully, gives her subjects the space to expand upon their ideas and asks the perfect follow-up questions. I’m not even a writer and I enjoy this podcast about the writers’ backgrounds, inspiration, and craft.

1. Phenomenal Storytelling and Perspective - This is probably my favorite podcast I have ever heard. It is a cultural artifact with expert storytelling and also a historical account that will tell the story of the people behind this monumental film and our beloved Chadwick. Thank you to everyone involved for this gift of a show!
2023-03-03
2. Beautiful - I only recently began to listen to podcasts that give insight to how a film or show was made. This one is the best I’ve heard! I’m not sure if it’s the resonance with black culture and the representation but this made the film that much more beautiful. To hear all the meticulous effort to get the Mayan history and culture as correct as possible as well as the love and dedication to Chadwick warmed my heart. There were times when I dropped a little tear just because I was so touched to hear all the love Ryan and the cast and crew had for the project. This was honestly one of the best podcasts I have ever listened to and I’m grateful to everyone involved for giving the films and this podcast to us and our cultures. Just beautiful!

3. Fantastic Podcast - If you loved the film, you’ll definitely love listening to this podcast. Every episode is a deep-dive into a different aspect of the movie, and is a fascinating look at how much love and care went making sure they got it right. Not gonna lie, I choked up several times listening to the cast talk about Chadwick.

4. A Beautiful Collection of Stories - I feel deeply grateful to everyone involved in the making of the podcast. It is exceptional, stirring and emotional. Each episode is a treasure trove of both creative insights and examples of the strength of the human spirit. Thank you, a thousand times, thank you.

5. Great first episode - // update Outstanding. My sincere gratitude to all of you for this incredibly emotional podcast. Tonya A Thank you, Ta-Nehisi and Ryan Coogler. This initial episode was incredibly moving. My first viewing of Wakanda Forever will be on Friday morning (/). I look forward to future episodes of this podcast. Thank you! // I’ve just listened to episode . Wow. I love the care that was taken to ensure the Mexican/Maya/Meso cultures were represented respectfully. I wasn’t the only person who didn’t want the Wakandans and the Talokans to fight. I get why, but we want them to co-exist peacefully. Thank you, again, for this excellent podcast and sharing perspectives from the cast and behind the scenes crew.

6. What We All Need To Hear - This is one of the best podcasts I have heard in a long time. I bought Wakanda Forever on K, but was disappointed when there were only special features. This podcast is exactly what I was looking for. It gives more background in the transition from BP to BP, and goes in depth at the themes, world building, and thoughts behind every character and idea. A must listen to.

7. Saw the movie times before listening… - I live for this depth of behind the scenes of a film. Thank you everyone who has anything to do with bringing this film from page to screen while mourning the lead actor.
I include this podcast.
Thank you for this beautiful gift.
I’ll be coming back to listen to different episodes when I rewatch the movie.

8. Thank you for caring to share - As a podcast lover & an actress I’ve absolutely loved to her the creative processes that have been told on every single episode. 1. It’s really good - I accepted the mission from Light the Fuse podcast so long ago and am overdue for a review. Drew and Charles are such great hosts and have inspired so much admiration not only for the amazing MI franchise but for many many other movies as well. The episodes are full of great Mission Impossible insights and stories from an astoundingly awesome and diverse guest list. I’m really excited to what Drew and Charles think about MI: and !
Thank you guys! You are the storm.

2. The best movie podcast - This podcast is not just for fans of Tom Cruise or the Mission Impossible franchise. I have learned so much about how movies are made and the inner workings of the movie business. I’ve even been inspired to enroll in a film class! So often we are so obsessed with the actors and actresses that we don’t give enough credit to the enormous talent that is required to make big movies - from the producers and directors to the editors, camera crew, stunt crew, costume designers, makeup artists…. I don’t know any TV show or podcast or other medium that has shed a light onto this aspect of making movies the way these guys have. And the fun facts are fascinating. I’m savoring every minute. Any time I walk anywhere, I have my headphones in and am listening to the show with a smile on my face. People must think I’m nuts. :-) Thanks, Drew and Charles!! And congrats on the coconut cake!

3. More than just Mission - For all film lovers! It’s a behind-the-scenes filmmaking podcast that stretches way beyond Mission: Impossible. The guests are amazing and they always end up talking about a lot of other movies too. The hosts know a lot of film history and they do a great job of keeping it relaxed and fun.

5. my life ceased to exist before this podcast - UPDATE: I had to come back and add that even now, as we wait sooooooo long for a new MI film, this podcast still delivers each and every week!! I spent the entire summer yelling at everyone who crossed my path — friends! family! Grocery store cashiers! — about how unfathomably good Mission Impossible: Fallout was. To discover there’s an entire podcast for wayward Ethan Hunt obsessives like myself is as delightful as Ilsa saying “oh, I like her” about Julia while looking to diffuse the two bombs in Kashmir. I can only express my emotions through Fallout references BUT THESE ARE MY PEOPLE AND THEY UNDERSTAND. Anyway it's perfect so subscribe ok?

6. Fantastic Podcast about more than MI - While the hook of this podcast is the Mission Impossible franchise, its appeal goes far beyond that. By focusing on the narrow topic of the MI movies, we actually learn about movie-making in general, and meet guests whose jobs are fascinating. For example, the conversation with an on-set photographer was a delight, and I would never have been exposed to that without this podcast. Keep up the good work Drew and Charles.

7. Amazing podcast - I’ve been listening to this podcast for several months now and I gotta say it’s an absolute blast to listen to. While it is primarily about Mission Impossible, it gives you great insight into the film industry, as well as references to your favorite movies. The two hosts, Drew and Charles, are amazing and hilarious. Really entertaining podcast and great interviews, like with Brad Bird and Chris McQuarrie. Can’t say enough great things about this podcast. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: is to subscribe to this podcast and listen.

8. Awesome Podcast!! This review will Self-Destruct in Seconds! Good luck Drew & Charles - I’ve been a Mission: Impossible fan for a very long time since I was years old, and I’m so glad that I’ve found this Podcast! Very informative, fun to listen to, and they’ve got some awesome guests on the Podcast that actually worked on the Mission: Impossible films and also on the original Mission: Impossible TV series. Drew and Charles are so much fun to listen to and they have great chemistry together! They are not only two passionate M:I Fans themselves, but also great friends who have vast knowledge in the film industry and about the Mission Franchise. I love how they ask their guests at the end of each episode about which choice of Tom Cruise’s haircuts they like the best and which Mission: Impossible films are their favorites! I always look forward to every Friday listening to a new episode of Light The Fuse!! The holy grail is to get Tom Cruise on the PODCAST!!!! Awesome Job, Light The Fuse Podcast!! Keep Lighting the Fuse!! - - - - LightTheFuse Love Fellow M:I Fan, Hope

1. Downton podcast - I love Downton Abbey. My mother begged me to watch the show a few years prior. I remember paying no mind during its syndication. But she sat me down to watch it and I’m glad she did. We are now both huge DA fans. And we just saw the New Era the other night and it was beyond brilliant and a gorgeously shot film. Thank for this podcast.

2. I miss the show!!! - This podcast is the next best thing to another season in the show. Love to hear from the cast and Mr. Fellows. I do wish you would close the podcast episode with the cast instead of just cutting them off. I love the show, love the podcast, the movies. Please: more Downton Abbey!!!!
2022-05-11
3. Love Downton Abbey - I was so glad to see this podcast pop up while I was going through my third (?) rewatch of the series in preparation for the movie. My major criticism of the podcast is the recycling of audio across multiple episodes. Why are they doing this? It’s a huge disappointment to see that a new episode is in my queue and it’s just a repeat of earlier material from other podcast episodes.
2022-05-03
4. Downton Abbey the BEST!! - This is such a wonderful podcast. It reflects back to all the old episodes for the past seasons and the movie. It actually gives a opening to A New Era. I can’t wait to see it. Thank you. Best series with so much compassion, love and morals of being human no matter what your stage in life.

5. New Host Please! - I am a die hard Downton fan and could’ve cried tears of joy when I discovered this podcast. Then I listened to it… I am not convinced the host has even seen a full episode of Downton, yet she exhibits an over the top “fan girl” persona that is quite embarrassing and very cringe worthy. I find myself repeatedly feeling like she is giving all Americans a bad reputation in her interactions with the cast with her word choice and incessant rambling. The minds behind this podcast could take a lesson from The Gilded Age podcast. Beautifully and artfully executed!
2022-04-07
6. Not Actually a Rewatch - The first episodes have been enjoyable interviews with creator and cast, but it’s introduced as a re-watch, and it’s certainly not that (yet). Jacqueline Coley is a good host and interviewer, and it feels more pitched toward a US audience, which is fine for me as an American, but others might want to keep that in mind. When the recaps start, I’ll probably come back to review it again.
2022-03-29
7. Pleasantly Cheerful - As a big fan of Downton, I was so excited to accidentally stumble upon this podcast. I love the interviews and insights from the actors. My one complaint, and this is the only reason this review is a star, is that the episodes are too short. I feel as though the eps could easily be minutes to an hour and no one, who is a true fan, would complain.
2022-03-25
8. A fan’s podcast - Love how much the creator/host of the podcast are fans. Spot on about Molesly. I am always so touched when he’s working on the road and struggling and let’s his guard slip with Anna and then immediately asks apologizes for being “self important”. That’s when Kevin Doyle made Molesley one of my favorites.

On Feeling Seen, writer and general enthusiast Jordan Crucchiola invites filmmakers, writers, comedians, and artists to discuss the movie characters that made them "feel seen." It's about that instant when a person connects to a piece of art so deeply that they see themselves reflected in it. Every week Jordan gabs it up with a guest about those magical moments when they were watching a film and realized, "That's me!" It's an informative, funny, and comforting show about our intimate relationshi...

1. Really cool concept - Let your guests talkkkkkkkkkkk. Pleaseeeeee. Your questions are too long. I don’t care how many worlds you know. I’ll still listen because there are moments that are delightful! And Jordan can be a good host with really good questions! But for the love of anything please start to let your guests talk. On a recent episode they said how they run Q and A’s better. Do you?! Or do you like your essay length talking points??

2. Generally great content, lackluster for a POC - I first heard of this podcast through an ad on another podcast. It sounded interesting: the topics seemed great and the host sounded engaging. The only issue was that the ad itself referenced talking about "Southeast Asian" representation when talking about things like Harold and Kumar and with an South Asian guest speaker. But I gave it the benefit of the doubt thinking "hey, maybe they did indeed share interesting factoids or ideas about Southeast Asian representation." So I gave the advertised episode (as well as a couple more episodes) a listen. Turns out, the podcast got South Asian and Southeast Asian confused; which wouldn't be so bad if the podcast wasn't all about progressive ideas, representation, deconstructing stigma and stereotypes, etc (all valueable and great themes), which makes me feel like the podcast falls short of what it tries to represent. Yes, this is a very very small detail to most listeners (or may be completely invisible), but it was extremely disappointing, and would be disappointing to anyone who is aware of the differences in Asian regional cultures. Perhaps it may be helpful to have a more diverse podcast team/staff to catch diverse details that otherwise slip through the cracks; otherwise, more and more of your viewers will slip through the cracks.

3. A total delight - Jordan Crucchiola is delightful to listen to— whipsmart, thoughtful and exuding positivity. She gets the best guests— often from something I’ve just seen or have been dying to see (e.g. Mariama Diallo, director of MASTER; Jasmin Savoy Brown, one of the stars of YELLOWJACKETS; Isabelle Fuhrman, star of THE NOVICE) and eagerly explores with them a piece of art that made them feel seen. I look forward to this podcast and always learn something!
2022-03-18
4. A Wonderful Perspective! - Pretty much everything Jordan Crucchiola puts out gets at least a try from me, but even by that standard I was really impressed! She’s a great interviewer getting lots of fascinating guests in for some really deep conversations on identity as seen through the lens of media. Can’t recommend highly enough!

The OFFICIAL podcast of Film Threat!
Release date: 2023-03-24
Comments
1. Could be great - Chris, let me start off by saying that I love what you’re doing with Film Threat and I have been a big fan ever since running into your Film Courage videos. I love having a critic out there, doing this work, that not only loves pop culture but also has deep knowledge of show business. Which is why I desperately want to love this podcast, but it’s really hard to sometimes. First, the way you’re doing superchats leads to a stilted, tangential, and non-cohesive “conversation”. I really want to hear your thoughts on Obi-Wan but it feels like as soon as you get any momentum going in that direction you interrupt things to read superchats, most of which have nothing to do with the topic. What about having a dedicated section of time for superchat and Q&A instead of interspersing it randomly throughout the episode? Also, as much as I love your brain and the points your making, please be mindful of running over others on the episode with you. The interruptions/talking over the other contributors to the conversation isn’t a great look for you. Again, love what you’re doing and as is this podcast is more good than bad. But I believe it could be truly great with just a little more polish.

2. Great Film Festival Coverage - Interesting, informative coverage of some of the big festivals, with lots of insider information. And these guys are funny, too. The banter is always entertaining and they know what they're talking about. This one is about the best movie podcasts among the big heap of fan podcasts that are out there today.
2018-05-09
3. Favorite movie podcast!!! - I have been a fan of Chris Gore since he was on Attack of the Show with his segment for DvDuesday. Also Anthony Bench who is a reviewer on Film Threat is also on the podcast and I like that a lot of the time you get different perspectives from him and Chris. If you are a fan of movies and want to hear another movie buffs thoughts on different films then I really recommend subscribing to this podcast. There website also has great movie reviews especially on independent films.
2017-10-04
4. One of my favorite film podcasts! - The best podcasts feel like you're listening in on the conversation of a couple of old friends, and this is what FILM THREAT is all about. Casual (but smart) movie talk, and an excellent guide on what to see this weekend and what to stay far away from. Chris & Anthony are funny, entertaining, and informational. Keep up the great work guys!
2017-07-07
5. Film Threat's BACK! - I'm a huge fan of Film Threat, G, Attack of the Show, etc and it's so cool to have Chris Gore back talking about movies. Chris and his co-host Anthony Ray Bench have a really fun repertoire , and it feels raw and unpolished but not in an incompetent sort of way, more like punk rock if I can compare it to anything. I love when Chris does DVDDuesdays, and the best part is Olivia Munn isn't there to rush him through it now, he can properly discuss the film and its features. If you like movies, independent OR big budget stuff, you'll love this podcast!

Welcome to the Act Two Podcast where screenwriters Tasha Huo and Josh Hallman demystify what it means to be an everyday working Screenwriter. A podcast for Screenwriters, by Screenwriters.
Release date: 2023-03-13
Comments
1. Boots-on-the-Ground - I can tell you precisely why you should listen to this podcast: there’s a top % in every field, and this podcast is it. Entertainment, Writing, Filmmaking, Animation - these careers spawn enough leagues of hopefuls to warrant a market that can put food on the table for the ambitious internet content creator and maybe even buy them a Porsche. The bell curve on content quality for writing varies immensely, some produced by people with little to no success in the business or worse: they have the knowledge but don’t know how to delivery it clearly or comprehensively. Not so with the Act II. Tasha and Josh are hard-working creators of great ambition. They share the genuine nuts-and-bolts of the screenwriter’s life, and do so with information gleaned from real experience, insightful observation, honesty, and content so real that you can actually make an informed decision on whether or not it’s for you.
2023-03-07
2. Clear, kind, positive, relatable, grounded - I don’t even look to see what the subject this week is any more, I just click and listen. In addition to covering all the artistic, technical, and business aspects of writing for TV and film, Tasha and Josh share how they (and we) feel about that and how to cope with / celebrate the process as creative people trying to build a career. It’s holistic. I love it.

3. What a valuable resource! - I was recently approached by a management company regarding my screenplay and in researching if I should sign with them or not, I found this podcast. Wow. You guys really do a fantastic job! I love hearing your stories and how you navigate the screenwriting world. This podcast is a must-listen to active screenwriters and anyone trying to get into the biz. Thanks so much!

4. Mountain Lions in Ireland - Thoroughly enjoyed ep. ! Great to hear an experienced and casual approach to the industry & craft. Also, tons of great writing games & software recos! I found myself pausing every couple of minutes to take notes! Writer beware: don’t go hiking where there are mountain lions just for a story idea BUT do take a month-long trip to Ireland just for a cheap flight! - Ash Lazer
2021-11-09
5. Favorite Screenwriting Pod - I guess my title says it all, but this really is the screenwriting podcast I most look forward to (of the four I listen to weekly). The hosts are funny and down-to-earth and they maintain a healthy balance between discussions of craft vs. industry topics. They also never sound preachy or too cool for school.
2021-05-07
6. Great Screenwriting Podcast - This is a great screenwriting podcast that focuses on new and emerging writers, and the current state of the industry from in (the often unpaid) trenches. It’s a much needed perspective that podcasts like Scriptnotes with its veteran, A-list screenwriters, just can’t give. Highly recommended.

Hollywood & Levine looks at the world of entertainment, pop culture, screenwriting, and life, and takes none of it seriously. The point is to make you laugh, although useful information might accidentally slip through. Hosted by Emmy-winning writer/baseball announcer/talk show host, Ken Levine, Hollywood & Levine will feature commentary, war stories on Ken’s career (MASH, Cheers, Frasier, Simpsons), interviews, writing advice, movie reviews, snarky award show recaps, tall tales from his base...

1. My One Can’t Miss Podcast - I listen to a lot of podcasts every week but Hollywood & Levine is the only one I can’t wait to hear each Wednesday when Renaissance Man, Ken Levine, drops his new episodes. The hour always goes by too fast, is always entertaining and usually teaches me a new thing or two. And you can’t beat the price!
2023-03-02
2. A Must-Listen for all Current and Future Entertainment Professionals - As someone who has worked in the “biz” my entire professional life, “Hollywood & Levine” is the real deal! Honest, funny and insightful anecdotes from Ken Levine and his entertainment industry colleagues is a Masterclass for all to enjoy. As a part-time Adjunct at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, this podcast will now be an essential part of the curriculum. THANK YOU KEN!!!
2022-06-09
3. How I found it I do not know but I like it - Probably a glitch in the search engine of my favorit podcast app which is definitely not made by Apple led me to this podcast. I listened to a bunch of more recent episodes then started at episode . Ken is so personable, it is a completely pleasant experience to listen to him. His combination of TV, Radio and Baseball makes for interesting stories. He is a good interviewer too.
2021-09-20
4. One of a Kind - I don’t know how many times Ken can close a show requesting his listeners to leave a review before I actually do it. I guess I’m always basking in the enjoyment of the episode to remember to do it. I love HOLLYWOOD AND LEVINE. Ken Levine brings his decades of experiences as a television writer, baseball enthusiast, and playwright and uses it as a jumping off point to, well… talk about whatever he’d like. You never know what you’ll listen to from week to week. Perhaps a series of anecdotes about his years of writing for classic shows like MASH, CHEERS, and FRASIER. Maybe he’ll read one of his plays. Perhaps he’ll give an interview. But these are rarely interviews with participants doing the press rounds on every other podcast you listen to. Maybe he’ll speak someone running a pirate radio station out of his garage, or an actor who appeared on one of his long canceled shows to help shed light on their experience in and around the business. Sometimes Ken will provide readings of his plays. And all of this takes place in roughly minutes a week, too short a time if you ask me. In addition to this, Ken is excellent at engaging with his fans. You got a question for him? Shoot him an email and in all likelihood he’ll be happy to respond to it. The television landscape has changed and not many participants of its various golden ages are still around to tell tales. I love listening to Ken’s stories. The man has one of the best voices in the business. Give him a go. You surely won’t be disappointed.
2021-04-26
5. A Treasure - Ken Levine would be too good to be true if he weren’t for real. He started as a Top DJ, transitioned into television comedy writing for some of the most prestigious shows ever (such as MASH, Cheers, and Frazier), took a detour as a Major League Baseball announcer, and is now a blogger and podcaster. And it’s a great podcast. He’s known and often befriended many famous people (Ted Danson, Vin Scully, and Kevin Smith, just to name three) and has stories about most. He’s a great interviewer, and often the least-famous guests have the best stories. Do yourself a favor: subscribe.

6. Listened To Them All - In January , I was lucky enough talk to Ken Levine when he was a guest on the Sirius XM talk show, "The Diner with Lou Simon". It was during that broadcast I found out about his podcast. I have been a fan of MASH since the s. I've seen every episode mutliple times. So I was very famiiar with the name "Ken Levine" but didn't know who he was or anything about his career in the time before or "After MASH". I started listening to this podcast in January and finished listening to all of the episodes released up to that point that June.
The scope of the talent, knowledge, and experience that Ken Levine has had in his career is so much more than just as a TV writer. In this podcast's archives you will meet and learn about the people Ken has come in contact with during his multi-faceted career as a: Radio DJ, TV Writer, TV Director, Screen Writer, Baseball Announcer, Sports Talk Show Host, Playwrite, and Author. His interview episodes are treasures woven into the fabric of this fantastic podcast. I learned more about how the entertainment business works than I ever have from one source. I have also picked up some behind the scenes info about shows like Cheers, The Odd Couple, and Fraiser that I didn't know. This podcast has broadened my horizons when it comes to watching any type of entertainment. I know longer watch in a pedestrian way. I now look to peek behind the curtain and find out more about the show, actors, production staff, and history of anything I watch I highly recommend listening to this podcast and all its episodes. You will be educated and inspired by all of them. BTW, If you email Ken, as he promises at the end of every episode, he will write you back. Now, don't hesitate, get listening. And get a pen and paper, you will want to take notes.

7. Hidden Gem Podcast not just for Cheers fans - HUGE HUGE Cheers fan as a kid.(even had a Cheers skateboard my brother made me) So I was pleased to discover this podcast recently. I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the shows. They’re not too long, not too short and great to mix in throughout the day. It’s been great hear tidbits and stories from his experiences in life and behind the scenes in Hollywood. Highly recommend !

8. Look forward to it every week - Honest and insightful—Ken puts a lot of effort/prep into every episode and guest. Nowhere else have I found such illuminating info about comedic writing and the making of sit coms—in addition to his wonderful war stories and guests, who rarely do podcast interviews.
