1. Ads are annoying as of late but show is good - It’s like they googled ‘how to make a radio ad’ and went with whatever they saw. BigCat will say the name of the brand like times throughout the ad as if that makes it effective, meanwhile the rest of it is just him barely even audible speed reading through it. Just bafflingly annoying

2. Pardon My Review - It literally took you minutes to finish reading ads before Electric Ave today. Why do podcasters think we need a sponsored summary of what we're about to hear? There is a description box you dopes. This isn't AM radio in the s. Words! Brought to you by language! In association with common sense.

3. Love the pod, but oh billy billy billy - Pod’s great, I’ve been listening for about years now and I look forward to it each day it drops. But oh my goodness billy has got to do something about his lying problems. It makes me wanna run through a stained glass window sometimes. The sad part is sometimes he gets so involved in the lie he convinces me that he truly believes the misinformation he is spreading. I wish the best for him and would never speak on another mans job… but cmon billy have some respect for yourself and tell the truth (Concussion )

4. Getting Stale. Needs a refresh. - I’ve listened to every single episode since June of . In the past year or so, some of the magic has seemed to disappear. Jake and Billy are way too involved, and when they do speak, their jokes fall flat. PFT’s too obsessed with his bits and hasn’t grown or evolved in years. We shouldn’t be hearing Delly jokes in . Hoping when the crew moves to Chicago, Big Cat will help recalibrate the show. Getting close to moving it out of my rotation which makes me very sad.
2023-01-25
5. Not what it used to be - Once Jake and Billy came onto the scene and Big Cat and PFT elevated them to be a main part of the show, I started tuning out. They aren’t funny and they kill the jokes and disrupt the chemistry between Big Cat and PFT. Plus, you can click on any episode and go to any random time stamp and you’ll probably hear at least two people speaking at the same time.

6. Huge fan…. One thing missing.. - Look, it’s the perfect podcast. Laugh out loud funny, great content setup, decent guests, well rounded all together…. Except for one thing. Everyone has won the lottery ball machine, but not Hank. It just can’t be true, and if so I call for collusion. There’s just not a chance he hasn’t gotten it yet.
2022-12-27
7. Lottery balls - Dear Henry, I also fail to predict the correct lottery ball number on a consistent basis. I guess every time, which I’m pretty sure hasn’t won yet. But I’m gonna get it before you, that’s a guarantee. Can I get the k if I do? I’ll also accept a car stick dog toy. Love you guys.

1. So much fun - I found this show after the Super Bowl, and I am really enjoying listening to each podcast, knowing how the season winds up for both brothers. I’m a long-time KC Chiefs fan ( years), and Travis is one of my all-time faves. Listening to this podcast, I’m really enjoying learning more about Jason. He is so excitable and hilarious to TK’s chill (unless he’s defending Arrowhead or screaming “you gotta fight…”). I don’t normally listen to sports talk shows, but I love listening to their recaps of each week. Most entertaining podcast on my list!
2023-03-03
2. Class act Kelce’s - From the moment Travis was a rookie I joked to everyone he was my fantasy husband. (He’s like my sons age I think. Hahah) my husband knew this and it was all in fun. Not only so handsome but you just knew he was going to be something great. And each year he got better, he got more humble. My boys are big football players and Travis and Patrick are their role models. They don’t miss anything they are associated with. Now comes in Jason! Holy moly. Can I have two fantasy husbands? Haha. For real though, their podcast is the coolest thing since football was invented. I love this duo and you just know their parents have got to be so proud of them. I love listening to their podcasts as they are very entertaining. We get their opinions on the weekly games and also some things in their personal life. I love hearing about their mom. I hope someday if my boys make it big they talk about me like these two talk about their mom. This is one family that genuinely loves each other. If you haven’t listened to their podcast yet you are missing out. Listen to it now! Thank you Jason and Travis for giving us this entertainment. It’s not always easy putting yourself out there so we do appreciate it. PS: my dream is to meet Travis in person and my boys so they can meet their role model. Jason would be a bonus! So Travis , if you ever feel like making this Kansas Mom happy well I’m sure you can respond to this .

3. Best podcast in a long time - Kansas City Native but honestly never followed football. This is change my perspective on football, and actually made me a pretty big fan, following games through the season. It’s been really special getting to listen to the podcast and talk about it with my younger brother who’s a Kansas City fire fighter. Really feels like a family show and it’s really brought my family closer together.

4. Jerry Kramers “Instant Replay” of ! - I got to meet and assist with some autograph session Jerry Kramer was doing a few years ago and then stumbled upon his book “Instant Replay” To be honest, I’m not even sure how I found this podcast but am definitely glad I did! Just like Jerry Kramer, one of the most interesting people I’ve ever had the privilege of meeting the Kelce brothers recap of their year resulted in a journal of an incredible year and journey! Can’t wait for Wednesday to see what they have in store for us!

5. Amazing podcast - I listen to all football podcast, this one AMAZING! I’m a huge football fan always have been but listening to these guys all year and then watching them get where they were.that changed the game. I was almost as excited for this game as if it was my own team (ravens fan). Thanks for making this football season a special one and a SB I won’t forget. The love the respect. Everything you guys stand for I support. Continue the amazing work/careers. Can’t wait for next season now.

6. LOOOOOOOVE The Kelce Bros! - I actually prefer watching your podcast on YouTube. Watching your faces just add to it! And you’re both easy on the eyes too You two are the best Podcast I have seen/heard in a very long time! The football talk is great, but I love hearing the stories of your youth, the banter, and Travis’ spelling issues never fail to make me giggle. Keep up the great work, guys!

7. The Kelce - From Kc Chiefs fan:
Love the podcast with the great brothers , best SuperBowl game ever, The Eagles did a great job too. Jason , really hope you don’t retire yet . I really wish daddy Ed and that lovely Moma Donna should get a Super Bowl Ring , for the Great Job of wonder sons. Proud Parents and of course Congratulations Travis the parade was Awesome !!

8. Love the brother bond and hilarious - I like football. I’m not obsessed but my husband loves it and we watch together. I saw these two brothers play in the Super Bowl and then saw that they had a podcast together. I wondered how close they were and started listening. They are HILARIOUS!!!! I love their bond. They are interesting and talk about things in the league that even a sometimes football viewer like myself finds really entertaining. I love the two different personalities but you can tell they have a lot of love for each other which is refreshing. I loved the Gronk episode! So good. All the episodes have been super entertaining and light hearted. Keep talking and making us laugh. You guys are awesome!

The Herd with Colin Cowherd is a thought-provoking, opinionated, and topic-driven journey through the top sports stories of the day.
Release date: 2023-03-06
Comments
1. Fantastic! And Disastrous - Absolutely love the show, absolutely love the thoughtful, in-depth opinion pieces. The show always makes me think about sports and more. But for the love of Pete, Jay Mac is a disaster. Sophomoric, often trying to make something out of nothing and it’s very transparent. this is not a good fit
2023-02-14
2. Nick Wrong - Another segment with the same blow hard trying to convince people Lebron is the goat. Enough is enough. Lebron is like Chamberlain. The most physically gifted basketball players of all time. But just could not win enough big games ie championships. Congrats to him though he has scored the most pts. & Mr. Wrong has the most wrong takes.
2023-02-08
3. Reaching out about antisemitic advertising - Herd team - I’m a daily listener to much of the volume. And I’m an antisemitism educator. I want to raise a flag about an ad that frequently runs at the start of the Herd podcast that is, likely unintentionally, pushing forward an antisemitic lie. Specifically, the ad, which is calling people to Jesus, blames the crucifixion of Jesus on his followers. While the ad doesn’t explicitly use the word Jews, it’s well known that most of his followers were Jews. Moreover, it’s we’ll known that the murder of Jesus has been blamed on Jews for millennia. This lie has lead to an incredible amount of antisemitic violence over the centuries, and remains central to many antisemitic attitudes in the western world today. It’s quite common to see Jews called “Christ Killers” online or in person, or to see it on billboards and highway overpasses in America, as a rallying cry for white supremacists in America and the west more broadly, who also blame Jews for the browning of America (and the west). Christianity is a beautiful faith and has much to offer people and the world, but at a time of heightened antisemitism, certainly we can find better ways to call people to Christ then to focus purely on the crucifixion in a way that reinforces an idea that has led to the death of millions of Jews over the centuries. Please reconsider the content of this ad and ask the organization to produce content to replace it that accomplishes the goal of calling people to their work without pushing forward stories that we know have caused great harm to a small minority group.

4. Class - Been listening a long time, always been a fan. Specifically today though, with the tragedy that was Damar Hamlin’s collapse last night, the way Colin and the team handled the show today showed absolute class and a well-thought out delivery. Well worth a listen today and moving forward, love his ability to measure out reason with a love for sports.
2023-01-04
5. Worth checking in once a week - I can’t listen to this day in and day out. It’s hours of listing the NFL quarterbacks by measurables. The first hour is game results and a weekly check in on how the quarterbacks look. The second hour is how Colin was right or wrong about those same results he just talked about. The third hour is a magic ball spin on what Colin thinks about— you guessed it— NFL quarterbacks. Somewhere in the middle is an interview where Colin regurgitates his takes on NFL quarterbacks that he just gave us for positive affirmation- which the host is more than willing to give—to have an ally in the profession. And this reaffirms Colin as an expert on the topic of quarterbacks. He’s a great opinionated personality but check in weekly. There isn’t enough variety of topics anymore. He is established and dug in with Fox and the hunger seems to be gone. He’s coasting. UPDATE: Yeah, I switched it to star I just can’t listen anymore. I used to love Colin, but it’s hours EVERY DAY of ranking quarterbacks in different ways. He is phoning it in but I guess people are listening. They shouldn’t.
2022-12-22
6. Stop screwing up the downloads - Look, I really enjoy Colin (the show is star) but I can't believe the nonsense in how the show is posted and managed on iTunes. Forget the gush of extra shows, the settings on the primary show cause the entire backlog to mark as completed and removes it from my phone. Its work to keep them saved so I can listen. Increasingly its work I don't want to do. I'd hate to give it up but will have to if this isn't resolved. Its the only show on all of iTunes that does this. Come on.
2022-12-02
7. Bring Back Background Music to Podcast - I enjoyed the show more when they played their background music for special segments ( e.g. Colin Right/Wrong, Herd Hierarchy, Herdline News, etc.) on podcast and radio broadcasts. It makes the show more fun and enjoyable for listeners who can’t tune in to the TV show. The music adds to the segment, whereas cutting it off before special segments seemed artificial and unnecessary.
2022-11-24
8. Used to be a big fan - Used to listen daily to best of the herd I still like his takes but the problem with this podcast and his colin cowherd podcast is too many episodes are from other podcasts that I’m just not interested in…I get him wanting to promote others but after couple weeks he needs to stop promoting them…the only one he’s promoted who is good is John Middlekauf and after two listens I signed up for the Middlekauf podcast and don’t need to listen on the cowherd feed for him If he released a best of the herd podcast with just the best of the herd ( min summary) and nothing else would sign up in a second and give that stars

The Athletic’s flagship football podcast covers the NFL like only The Athletic can. Robert Mays is joined by a team of world-class NFL writers and analysts including Mike Sando, Nate Tice, Diante Lee and more. They’ll break down the biggest stories throughout the world of football. Whether it’s happening on the field or behind-the-scenes, you’ll get an in-depth look at the NFL season and NFL Draft on The Athletic Football Show.
Release date: 2023-03-06
Comments
1. Best football podcast out there - Mays and Tice are the best at analyzing football while also having fun and interesting conversations about the sport. There’s not a better duo in the podcast game that provide the in-depth detail while also showing a genuine love for the sport. They’re informed and passionate - can’t ask for anything more. Plus Mays is a Bears fan and so he knows exactly how to turn self-deprecation into humor.
2023-03-03
2. Great insights while still being comprehendible - They walk the line really well between giving deeper analysis compared to what you would hear on football TV programs while avoiding going so deep that you can’t understand it. You can clearly tell the level of thought and predation they bring to each episode.
2023-02-24
3. Best NFL Podcast - Hands down the most consistent and best NFL podcast. Mays is genuine, intelligent, insightful and brings a wonderful humility. Tice should join him for every episode and despite being a badger, provides cogent and poignant additions. No self-aggrandizing between them or the smirking, condescending tone taken by the current Ringer crew.
2023-02-23
4. Football the fun way - The Athletic has assembled an amazing stable of sports journalists, each with their own unique expertise. The Athletic Football Show provides multi-faceted insight into our favorite NFL teams from those who have been on the sidelines, in the draft room, in at the press conference. Robert Mays is like you and I, but he has smarter friends. And he makes every conversation interesting and fun. I could listen to Robert and Nate Tice talk about football (and everything else) all day. It’s not easy to listen to a talk show, learn something, and have fun all at the same time, but dammit this crew makes it happen! Great listen every time.
2023-02-19
5. Come for the analysis, stay for the food recs - If all I ever got out of this podcast was the recommendation from Robert to go to Rose Mary, that would be enough to rate it stars Instead, this is consistently one of the most interesting, informative, and fun football podcasts out there. Robert and Nate are clearly great friends who are having so much fun doing this podcast together and it’s a joy to listen to them break down the MFL each and every week
2023-02-16
6. Must listen if you’re a football fan - I started listening to this randomly and am hooked. They help me understand the game so much better and a lot of the thought processes that go into personnel decisions. I really enjoyed the first episode Tashan’s Behind the Lines and look forward to the rest of the episodes.

7. THEE Football podcast….like running ! - The football podcast for true football aficionados and nerds. Whether it be discussing teams in season or off season, play design & execution, roster construction to team building philosophy….the conversation never fails to make you think. Twice a week the Athletic just says, “F it, our players are just better than everyone else,” by running their version of “” and have Robert and Nate dissect the games postgame for the week that was and preview the action for the following week. Soon to be challenging the LOB for DVOA championships for consecutive years of greatness.

8. Amazing show - I’m a high schooler who has listened to your guys’ podcast basically everyday. It is one of my favorite things to listen to while I’m at school or doing my homework. I love how deep you guys go into the scheme and personnel of the game. I have learned so much more about the little details of the game through your show. Thank you so much for an awesome year!!

1. Audio - This is one of my favorite podcasts but the audio issues that come up when y’all aren’t on the bus is terrible. Sounds like you’re listening to a conversation on speaker phone. Also when someone without a mic speaks and the podcast goes silent and then Will or Taylor responds to an unknown comment is a tough listen as well.

2. Lunchpail Boys - Payoff Willy The Ghost of Lewan A Spooktober Spectacular. The Boys in the back? Dogs. The high-caliber guests? Dogs. The banter and chirps? Pro. The vibes? High. Seriously, this show makes me smile, and I love the balance of silly and real talk. The Boys are always working on the mentals, leaving it all on the field, and always bringing…the biggest of hugs and tiniest of kisses.

1. Lions Draft - Your choice for Lions at six is not too bad but the better choices Joey Porter Jr. He fits with what the lions are looking for. He’s got Grit, he’s got size, he’s got the skill set, he’ll make a bigger impact at . Then at . You get it wrong, the lions will not take A.R. at instead, they will take Bijon Robinson Bijan, he has a bigger impact on the offense immediately, A.R. is a third round Malik Willis type quarterback, and unless he falls to the second or even third round Detroit’s not picking him, they are definitely not gonna waste a pick in the first on a guy who will take two years just to learn how to play quarterback.
2023-02-25
2. Love all the content - // At : Caleb Murphy . sacks. Is that a mistake saying he set the all Division record ? I thought Derrick Thomas had sacks his senior year at Alabama! // - On top WRs. The discussion went into Brian Hartline’s run of impressive WRs even naming J.Williams along with Olave, G.Wilson, JSN, and next years Marvin Harrison Jr. All respect to Hartline for his fantastic recruiting but Ohio State have been signing top WRs for the per cycle for the last years per Sports so they’d better hit on some of those guys. Not all of those guys are developing, but when you put numbers into a position along with tons of talent several have to pan out.

3. College Question - Hey guys love the show, I’d love to hear your guys thoughts on how the College Program GM role is going to effect job openings at the NFL level. Seems like most years top level College coaches are looked at as prime candidates for Head Coaching jobs in the NFL. Do you think College Program GMs will be looked at for potential GM openings in the league? Seems like someone with hands on roster construction experience and obviously a ton of tape study given how fast rosters shift at the college level might have a leg up on candidates from other NFL teams personal staff who have played supporting roles but never had their full blueprint on a roster. I’d love to hear your thoughts on the differences and pros and cons! Thanks Guys!

4. All Football. No baloney. Except Rhett Lewis - I really like that DJ and Bucky are all football. They don't get into other nonsense like a lot of sports "radio." The tell it straight, they break it down and they keep moving. I could listen to Bucky and DJ talk footballl all day long. But every Monday, Rhett Lewis wrecks the chemistry and ruins the show. He talks too much, he talks too loud, and he goes on endlessly. When he is supposed to make one point, he jams in and meanders all over the place. He tramples on Bucky and DJ and sometimes I wonder if he’s ever going to let them speak again. A great example of this is how he goes on and on in November th wrap up show. He seems to be trying to prove that he knows a lot rather than work with DJ and Bucky. Please give him some feedback on how to get better. Lance Zuerlein would be a much, much better fit as a third member on Mondays.
2022-11-09
5. Pre Snap Motion - I love the podcast. It is a must listen right when it’s downloaded. I do have a question, does it seem like the Packers are using a lot less pre snap motion this year? Are there any stats to back that up and do you think that’s why their offense hasn’t been as good this year as it has been other years under LaFleur?
2022-11-08
6. Can’t with Rhett anymore - I’ve been listening to this pod since either the first or second year of release. It used to be my favorite NFL pod. Three years ago or so when Rhett started participating in the show, it started going downhill for me. I’ve hardly listened this season. It might be time to reevaluate in the offseason and go back to the original duo. Might start listening again come playoff time.

7. Updated review - Still the best podcast on NFL Smart informative relatable and funny Which begs the question Why on gods green earth do I have to hear Dan Hanzus commercials per episode He is none of those and the constant interruption of that annoying unintelligent and unfunny voice is off putting Have to ask Does he have pictures of Goodell or something? You guys are the best He’s the worst Please find new advertisers
2022-10-13
8. A little lacking - DJ and Bucky give decent analysis but it lacks a little courage. In the episode recapping the Chiefs Raiders there was no mention of the egregious roughing the passed call on Chris Jones. I don’t know if that was because they employed by the NFL or if it’s because DJ can’t take off his Charger hat when talking about any team in the AFC West.

1. Great Dynamic - These guys are such a good team. Ryan is like the quarterback keeping the group flowing, Fred is the secret weapon coming in with great questions and Channing is the locker room guy making sure things don’t get to serious. Loved the PK interview because hockey needs more fans from diverse backgrounds. Keep it going boys!
2023-01-05
2. Inspiring - I’ve always been inspired to work hard to get to where I need to be and I put a lot of pressure on myself to be great at my profession but listening to these different successful people it shows me I’m already great because I put everything into it. When I get to where I’m going they will be interviewing me
2023-01-01
3. Ryan Leaf interview - Really enjoyed the interview with Ryan Leaf. He spoke candidly of his short time in the NFL and spoke of the self inflicted struggles and how he has a purpose in life. He discovered he was depressed and needed help and didn’t ask feeling he would be considered as “weak”. It took going to prison and having a brain tumor to realize he has worth. Good job guys!!
2022-11-30
4. Great podcast - Very interesting dynamic between all three of the host. Ryan is the more serious one and ask journalistic questions. Chan is the nine serious one. Fred is usually quiet but sometimes comes through with hitter questions. Overall I love the content, I love that they try to focus more on the real life side of things.
2022-11-01
5. Appreciation! - I don’t write reviews or call in to shows. But, I’ve become a consistent follower. I appreciate what I believe to be the authenticity and sincerity of the podcast. You guys do a great job of representing the culture and allowing your guests to represent themselves. In these times it’s refreshing to listen and get a fair representation.

6. This has quickly became my favorite podcast - So it took me awhile to listen but when y’all interviewed Jamarcus Russell I have to admit as a raiders fan I had to listen.. every interview is so different and u guys drop real knowledge and care for one another.. but my favorite ABSOLUTE FAVORITE THING BOUT THE SHOW IS CHANNING CROWDER that man is absolutely hilarious it’s just great to have a podcast with former nfl players and great players at that…Channing u was good but not on Freddy’s and RCS level still love u though keep it going guys great amazing stuff

7. Channing Crowder got y’all a new subscriber :) - Met Channing Crowder at Kevin Hart in Brooklyn, had no idea about this podcast but my husband is a huge fan of it. Such a nice guy who actually took his time to have a conversation and didn’t feel rushed. Thank you for being so kind and down to earth. Because of that, I came home and started listening to the Pivot and you guys have another fan :)

1. BYoung Eva - I see Bryce Young listed at - / to - / in a lot of places that actually post half sizes. - is the generic rounding up listing. He’s also always been a top flight prospect. So he has been measured A LOT. I dont think he’ll come in under -. And I think there is zero chance he weighs in below let alone .. he’s working too hard. I think he’s going to show up ripped tbh and put all the doubt to rest. He’s really not a small guy. He just has a unique frame. Carries his weight a little narrow in some areas which cheats the scale. He’s a strong dude in general. Much more durable than a guy like Tua. Check the elbow girth. That’s where you really want your QBs to size up. He’s got solid EG. Besides all that he’s an awesome player and has stellar character. All systems go.
2023-02-13
2. Most unique view of the NFL around - Dolphins fan here, and Braves fan (sorry Connor). Love the pod and the unique view you give draft fans and football fans year around. One request… can you discuss the Dolphins a little more and what their needs might be instead of just skipping over it as forfeited? Assuming that will come down the road, but it’s not our fault Stephen Ross is an idiot. Enjoy listening as always, guys!
2023-01-24
3. Draft Idea - You guys should snake draft teams where every player has to play both sides of the ball. on . Or like on with lineman if you wanted to cut it shorter. Me and my buddies did it once for fun. Hot take, George Kittle is an elite TE/DE. Just a Wolverine rushing the passer Thanks guys, you’re the goats
2022-10-26
4. Well-rounded Exellence - I was a listener of Trevor and Ben on the Locked-on draft podcast and was sad to see it end. Then a shining light emerged from the darkness about a year ago as this new podcast emerged. Trevor and Connor do a fantastic job and have great chemistry together. They have great insight, thoughtful reasoning, and just enough fun & humor without trying to hard for it. They also do not carry the snarky, intellectual elitism that usually comes with a PFF podcast. I don’t give out reviews very easily, but this one deserves it. You guys have made a great podcast and keep it up, and don’t forget the simplicity that makes it great. Thanks!

5. Mail bag question - Long time fan of Conner since STF days now a fan of both you guys. As a Oregon fan Mario Cristbol is great recruiter and motivator as a coach, but looking back how bad did he hold Herbert back in college. Especially seeing how much of a star he was from the jump ? Also should we be worried about the same thing for TVD now ? Thank you

6. Staple - Sup sweeties. Thanks for being here for me whenever my newborn baby’s crying gets to be too much to handle and I need to be entertained. My being a sex addict is what led me to this draft dad life. You lot better help see me out of it. Love the content. Keep it coming. MAILBAG: How has your top RB ranking changed now that football is finally back? Take that answer and now consider the following: Braelon Allen and TreVeon Henderson are able to declare as a part of the class. How do your rankings look now and why isn’t Braelon your unanimous spot?
2022-09-06
7. Eric Gray - Trevor you COWARD! How could you disrespect YOUR SON Eric Gray, RB, Oklahoma? Last year’s summer scouting you had him RB (Solak had him ) and this year you left him out of your top . He’s the most untouchable RB in the country and is literally the second coming of Barry Sander. Other than the Eric Gray SLANDER, this podcast is /. These guys are elite at what they do.

8. One of my must listens - Hey Guys,
Love the pod. Before my question, Trevor the Packers jersey is a throwback from the s not a color rush just to clear that up. However, my question is should the NFL revise the three years post high school to be draft eligible? For example, maybe elite players, like nick or Joey bosa or Leonard fournette, could apply to a review board to enter the draft early? Instead of waiting the full three years elite players who can play in the NFL should sooner should be able to. Keep up the great work!!

1. Love hate relationship, commercials OD - The pod can have strong content with a unique viewpoint but lord the commercials. They will have three commercials before he starts talking and then it is more commercials during the pod cast. Most I have ever heard. I am citing back on listen as it is so hard with the commercial OD.

2. Learn Not to Make Swallowing Sounds & Not Cuss - I like the substance , but hard to listen. John is constantly making swallowing sounds in the microphone, and sometimes even snorting. Very annoying and disrespectful of listener. Need to be more professional. Hydrate, get better mic filter, edit, don’t vape…whatever. Figure it out. Also, as a father, I’m not going to listen to this around kids or even recommend to friends b/c of constant cussing. Please, learn to increase your vocabulary and ability to express yourself. Update: Host continues to constantly smack lips, make swallowing sounds, and cuss. I like the takes, but just too annoying. I’m out.

3. Great for us - I have an interest for west coast sports and John is the best at covering them. ESPN content is so dated and east-coast driven that it drove me away years ago and it’s nice to listen to a fellow Californian who doesn’t always talk like a frat boy who went to Syracuse or any other east coast blah blah blah

4. Good - Love the football analysis since he’s been in the league but I always have to take a break from this podcast bcs he always finds a way to give a reach around to big billionaires/corporations and the sly conservative takes are pretty ignorant he always talks about not being apart of big media but he is actually in fact another cog in the big media machine.
2022-09-30
5. Good Football Takes but Ignorance Gets Old - Football analysis is good. Much more to the point and honest than most of the people who break down the league. His bro-like conservative takes on the world are ignorant and self-serving. It gets really old and keeps me from listening more. I hate saying stick to sports but sometimes it is better to avoid talking about things we have little to no real knowledge of. When he sticks to what he knows I enjoy the pod.
2022-09-26
6. Knowledge and Entertainment - No other way to put it, Middlekauff is hilarious in his to-the-point way of speaking and calling a spade a spade. Guy has tremendous knowledge of the game but doesn’t act like a know it all, just speaks about what he is passionate about and what he knows. Best NFL pod in my opinion.
2022-09-07
7. Love this! - Hey! You have to listen to this podcast. John Middlekauf is extremely smart, he’s very informed and he brings a completely different perspective on football. He gives expert caliber analysis of all the news and buzz around the NFL. Add this to your podcast library, right now! You’ll be chomping at the bit waiting for each episode to drop. This is the best football pod out there.

8. Great listen - This podcast is absolute fire during the season! Looked forward to it every week the best out there! Off season , brutal! All he does is talk about Elon musk and money. It’s too much , guy is obsessed with money. Millions of Americans have money issues they don’t want to be reminded about how much musk and bezos make!! Also spends half the podcast listing. For example says quarterbacks like , Mahomes , Rodgers , Allen , Brady . Lamar . We know who all the good quarterbacks are! Best in season pod , needs to spice it up in off season.

1. Cow boys - I love this sport I love cow boys they can make the play off they are my favorite team they can beat the Super Bowl. Some times this sport can be hard but you never give up people love it some many want to go to the Super Bowl let me tell you this get to this place and be or over to get it
2023-01-24
2. Great host chemistry - I must admit, I didn’t like this podcast at first listen. But it has since become my favorite football podcast. They aren’t into Xs and Os — head over to Robert Mays and Nate Tice at the Athletic for that — but their pure love of the game, from its absurd aspects to its beauty, shines through. And their personalities complement each other perfectly. I’d love to hang out with these guys over beers. Dan might be the perfect podcast host, from his voice to his ability to helm the ship. Marc’s sour demeanor and contrarianism are a welcome counterpoint. And Gregg is kind of in the middle, like the straight man. Don’t sleep on Gravedigger either — he times his interjections well (and has a great drop).
2023-01-21
3. Decent - The content is good for a novice football fan. You get a general idea of what’s going on in the nfl. They don’t really go in depth to teach you about the game. There’s a lot of commercials. Like, every ten minutes there’s a break and there’s only two advertisers per episode, so you hear the same add like , times, which is annoying. I’m curious if there’s an ad free option with nfl .
2023-01-18
4. Best overall football pod - I listen to all the major football pods. So many pods. If a stranger asked me to recommend one show, this would be it. Just the right amount of big picture, mixed with just the right amount of granular details. You come for the football, but you stay for the friends. I wish they released the YouTube episodes faster. There are reasons to watch on YouTube, so I’ll listen to other pods first, and then pray the video is out. Often it isn’t. I love the content though absolutely love it.

5. Great Show! Except… - Awesome show, informative and entertaining. The one drawback to the show is that the host (Hanzus, who is otherwise excellent) has two annoying habits: ) Constantly talking over other hosts, audio clips, etc ) Making a snake sound on the weekly draft show (which is horrendous when listening to show with earbuds) Small potatoes in the grand scheme, thanks for the weekly goodness
2022-12-20
6. Ads aren’t even Ads - Love the show, but the political junk needs to be canned. Mostly the stupid vax commercials. If you want people to take a life threatening virus seriously, then it shouldn’t be advertised like Claritin or something. Every time I hear those commercials I only think of the disgusting amount of money the vaccine companies are making off of all the suffering everyone endured these past years. Rethink your ad revenue. Love the Toyota ads Tugboat. Toyota gets me where I need to go IN A BIG SPOT
2022-12-14
7. Commercials blow - Used to love the show, listener since the beginning, but since the passing of Wess, the early-and-often commercials and the endless annoying banter without getting to solid content that made them famous is watering down the value. Almost feel like they are going to start using a laugh track for all of Greg’s dumb jokes that don't land. Constantly bringing in the producer Erica for personal life updates weigh heavy on the show (at least if you like the show in its original format). Really you guys have nothing else to talk about??? Its time to find someone who can replace the seriousness that Wess brought to the show to keep the pod on track. Plus, a little less on the Pats, browns and jets and more on other teams in the league would help. Plenty of pod nfl competition out there fellas, hope you tighten things up.
2022-12-07
8. Stop the rants PLEASE - This show is usually pretty insightful and has some information that is helpful for the casual football fan. But, the constant minute rants of NOTHING has to stop. This has become more and more frequent and causes me to either fast forward through the show or turn it off completely. The endless bickering at times drives me insane. Dan-it’s ok if you don’t always have the last word or something witty to say. I’ve been a long time listener but feel that the show has definitely been slipping lately, which is a bummer because I have always enjoyed it!

1. Great Pod - One of favorite pods each week! Wish it was longer. ML is hilarious and tells it like it is, which is rare in the media now days. Ties it to leadership and a coaching personnel background. Could listen to his stories all day. And unlike ppl that act like their tied in, he actually is! Can’t get enough sopranos, u two should start a pod on that! Bottom line this is a top NFL podcast out! Bring the sopranos talk back!!!! Tell Femi to get to work watching it! Please bring it back
2023-02-24
2. It’s called GM shuffle, not point/counter point with Feme and Mike - Not loving the chemistry between Mike and the new host. I think Adnan and Tate worked better in terms of setting up Mike tell us how the game is played and managed. The goal is to inform us and “make us smarter” as viewers and fans. The new guy likes to talk about the Cowboys, his bets and whom he thinks is a good player/team. He may be right, but I’m tuning in to listen to the GM, not necessarily to listen to two people go back and forth-I can tune into PTI or First Take instead. Also, the side chatter isn’t as good. Mike is Mike, so if he wants to go off on the Sixers, the Sopranos, Goodfellas,Frank and Dino, he needs someone to riff with. I don’t know if Feme is on the same wavelength; he usually just gives a chuckle after one of Mike’s rants and the conversation generally dies off after a brief pause. They either need to work on the chemistry or find a new co-host.

3. Like it … but - The football material is fine. Lombardi has worked with various teams and has some good insights. But there are some tired themes that he won’t let go. He likes to rail against the many who claim Tua is better than Herbert. Those people are never identified (I have never heard anyone say Tua is better). We can’t make it through an episode without bringing up the Sopranos. That show has been off the air for years — please let it go. It’s like that annoying friend who wants to keep re-hashing Seinfeld. And a question on point spreads, on which Lombardi does not only to tenths but hundredths. That is, in his opinion Buffalo is . points better than Cincinnati this week, while Philadelphia should be a .-point favorite against the Giants. There’s no explanation of how he’s getting to those micro-numbers. He’s going behind half points, quarter points and even eighth points. It’s weird and deserves an explanation.

4. Outstanding - Love the show, and I listen to every episode. I love the insight from Lombardi, who certainly makes me look at the game differently. As the GM shuffle transitioned to a new host, I was a little hesitant, but Femi is amazing. Very fun, enjoyable, and educational. Extremely underrated show!
2022-12-17
5. Mista Joe - Michael Lombardi‘s insight, knowledge and experience is truly exceptional. Listener’s can learn so much from him on the nuts & bolts of the NFL and player assessment and development. His Al Davis impressions are hilarious. More stories on Al, please. His ability to weave in cogent thoughts on leadership (that can apply to any industry or company) really makes this podcast unique. Finally, one of his greatest strengths is that he tells it like he sees it, regardless of how painful it may be for people to hear the unvarnished truth. That type of candor is quite rare in analysts and people in the sports industry. Give us more, Michael!! You are the best!

6. - nfl season hostetler replaced Simms. - Not like you said on ftm and not (niners beat broncos - season Super Bowl) like you said here. M L has more football success and knowledge than I can even imagine. I actually learn from him, respect him and admire how he goes about his craft I put major weight into the things he says. But cmon, get your dates together jak. ; ) all joking aside you two are a heckuva pair doing this. Salute to you both Feme and Michael.
2022-12-05
7. Favorite Football Pod (Minus Femi) - Love the insight from Lombardi. This is the only football show where I actually learn something new. That being said who is this Femi guy?? Has he ever watched football before? He asks the dumbest questions. Get out of the way and let us hear something intelligent from Lombardi.
2022-11-21
8. Star podcast - Great recap of NFL football games. Love to hear Mike’s analysis based on his GM experience and his association with former NFL head coaches and GMs. Mike’s honest analysis and opinion is very entertaining. Congratulations to the entire team (Mike, Femi and others) for a great Podcast!

1. Bussin with the Boys - The segment with Bussin with the Boys was textbook example of how more information doesn’t not change biases; they came on thinking PFF was rigged, asked questions about the process, received answers, and yet found loopholes to leaving thinking they’re still right. ‘Yeah but… you can’t account for every single person that works for the company…’
Ah well. Steven did a very good job managing that segment. Sam, as usual, repeats himself.
2023-02-09
2. Great general NFL chat - This show is exactly what I was looking for. They cover the entire league, with short previews and recaps for each game. It’s a good mix: they bring up Vegas lines but it’s not a gambling show, and they talk analytics without getting too granular. Hosts have good chemistry and conversation flows nicely.
2022-10-18
3. Here for it all. - Before we begin I want to make one thing clear. I love the rugby talk, I love the long episodes, and most importantly I love the actual football analysis. This podcast is great it’s an appropriate amount of depth and analysis. If I wanted to listen to headlines in minutes per game I would go do that. My only complete about this absolutely perfect podcast is that I could use a little bit less honesty about my Vikings.
2022-10-05
4. Content is Great But They Take Their Audience Granted. - At some point podcast hosts will show enough respect for their audience to not record a podcast where one of the hosts internet connection is spotty at best. If this were radio or television, the offending party would be dropped until the connection would be re-established. Here we had to continue listening to every third word while the host tried to find a better location. Extremely annoying to listen to particularly on the first show after the NFL season’s opening week.
2022-09-12
5. Perfect isn’t the enemy of good - Sam and Steve succeed in making a compelling show about the NFL that is mostly intelligent despite airing for many minutes several times a week. I mean that in the best way possible, although it sounds like damning with faint praise - it’s hard to make quality NFL content several times a week, especially during the offseason! Coming from PFF, you expect a higher level of discourse for stats, player evaluation, and narratives compared to the average NFL pod, and they mostly deliver there. They get stretched thin at times and end up defaulting to silly narratives or pointless comparisons, but overall they stack up well against the other options. Even though they are more “analytics” focused, they have great chemistry and are one of the best NFL pods in that category, far better than all the other PFF pods that swing wildly between frat-boy idiocy and bespectacled nerd vibes. Their great chemistry (not quite camaraderie) gets you through the rougher points, like when Sam tries to explain his understanding of some new social media phenomenon or when Steve tells a baseball anecdote. In the right mood, those interludes are almost charming. Truly the flagship show of PFF, they are the only reason I’ve given a try to their other podcasts or authors beyond their draft coverage. Give them more respect, management!
2022-09-10
6. Overall decent podcast but – - Does anyone else notice that Steve cannot help but get defensive about Tom Brady whenever another good QB is brought up? At first I thought it was just part of the analysis, but recently when Sam says anything positive about Aaron Rodgers, Steve has to interject with ‘Yeah, but Brady was better because…’ I understand having a rooting interest, but isn’t PFF supposed to provide unbiased analysis? It feels like Steve is more concerned that Brady’s legacy will be hurt by acknowledging that other QBs are good. Makes me doubt the objectivity of the his takes. With that said, Sam has decent analysis and the show is pretty entertaining (even if not always objective).
2022-07-21
7. Good pod but is definitely an anti-mahomes circle jerk - If mahomes throws a shovel pass TD, they will not miss it. shovel pass TD and downfield TDs? "There goes mahomes getting schemed up again..." Mahomes escapes Ravens pass rush and throws cross body to kelce who makes an incredible play? "Mahomes with another dump off TD" as if it was a screen pass. Then, they will go on to say chiefs are the best team in the league and will win etc. Still a good pod tho. stars. Just don't know why they're sick of mahomes doing cool stuff
2022-01-21
8. Greatest Football Podcast Ever - It took me forever to find a quality NFL podcast. I feel like I have listened to every single one and can honestly say none of them compare to the PFF pod. Also, as a psychology undergraduate student, it is so awesome to hear Steve and Sam break down biases in the NFL and disproving narratives with science. Well done! IG: @jacobrobertmorrill

1. Let’s get some moolah - So, I found you guys on Spotify, but couldn’t figure out how to leave a review there so I came over to Apple. Easy peezy. I’m honestly hoping I’ll get chosen as the best five star review. As someone new to sports betting (just became legal in Ohio), I’ve been looking for college basketball podcasts that cover the games in a thorough but interesting way. Honestly, you guys are one of my faves. Def one of my top . Thanks for covering basketball the way you do. Definitely planning on listening to every show! Keep up the good work!

2. An auto-listen, but the Action Network App... - It's a podcast that will become a staple to your daily/weekly college sports. The amount of games and detailed discussion per episode thoroughly beats out all other sports betting podcasts. But Action Network App...for the love of some all-powerful deity, please develop a static list of team abbreviations that don't have duplicates. My spreadsheets are begging you.

3. A Pod - If you like college BB and understanding how college basketball work, this podcast is for you. All hosts are informative/prepared and relatable. It was not hard for a relative newbie to college basketball and sports wagering, to understand what they are talking about. Only wish they would pass sports wagering in my state, so I have been trying to glean information for filling out my bracket in March!

4. Degenerate Nation - Longtime listener, finally leaving a review as it was long overdue. I’m a college student who loves college sports and look forward to every episode each week during college football and basketball. The analysis is great, but what makes the pod so great is the passion for college sports. Have had the pleasure of sweating games with Stuckey and some great moments such as mistaking texas state for a backdoor cover vs James Madison in which they were still a touchdown short or witnessing Stuck pull a hammy sweating a FG from an smu kicker to cover . vs Cincy. Just the best pod there is for college sports and betting. The personalities are great and you can tell these guys look forward to putting out the pods each week. This pod has been apart of my weekly routine for years now. Give them a listen and stars also.

5. A great podcast for bettors and fans - The Big Bets on Campus Podcast is outstanding. You might think that three guys from far-flung locations of a Lexington, Kentucky watering hole (Stuckey); running up the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (Mike Calabrese) and calling in from the middle of an Iowa corn field (BJ Cunningham) are not qualified to give you their insights and picks on college hoops - but you’d be wrong! Even though you need to sometimes turn up the volume a bit to hear Stuckey as he yells over the drunk UK fans; or Mike as his breathing gets just slightly labored on his sixth ascent up those famous steps; or even BJ as the wind whistles through the corn stalks in mid-January, these guys actually know their stuff - and they are following their own advice - putting their own money on these games and logging bets in pre-game into the award-winning Action App. On the pod they each make their picks and explain their reasoning - letting you decide whether to follow. It's an enjoyable listen and I'd recommend it for fans of college sports whether you're betting or not. Thanks guys for laying it all out for us (and BJ, just a suggestion, but put on a hat next time!)

6. Best Podcast on Earth - Thank You All - Stuckey and the surrounding CFB and CBB crews are the absolute best out there. BBOC has increased my net worth. 7. My Ears Have Missed This - It’s been a long, hot summer waiting for college football previews to come back. These are my favorite podcasts of the entire year!! I can’t wait for voicemails, Collin’s Arkansas history, and all the beats we will face this year, together. I will take Stuck, Collin, and Brett chatting for a couple hours a week over anything on sports related television. This is my rd year listening and I’m just so stoked to have you guys back in the weekly rotation, you all have been missed dearly. P.S. I wonder what the new Bo Nix NIL ad will be like up at Oregon??

1. Brutal Listen - Without callers to banter with Mike has completely fallen off a cliff. This podcast is mostly terrible. Mike is either pontificating obvious points to himself or talking over the line guests he secures. And the guests he gets are straight out of the ’s at best. No one wants to hear from Bernie Williams, Joe Namath or Bobby Valentine anymore.
2022-12-12
2. Mike Francesca - Excellent podcast stars . Francesa , This weekend You, Mike says The Jets have an enormous games against the Patriots- Can they finally go toe-toe with Bill Brlicheck’d squad? The Giants cannot overlook the scrappy who’ve recently shown fight . And after a sloppy game that cost the that cost them from an undefeated season the take on the roller coaster Colts.

3. The best there is at what he does! - Been listening to Mike since when he was teamed with Eddie Coleman. He brings a unique and intelligent take on sports that is unmatched. In a world where the knowledge of the history of the games is vanishing, Francesa brings a more to the table than any other broadcaster. This podcast highlights Mike’s talents and we don’t have to deal with annoying callers bringing him, the show and the listeners down.
2022-11-03
4. Mike on demand - This is exactly what we all love about Mike. The Monday takes after a big loss, or win…but instead it’s instant, the question and answer segments are great as we all love when Mike answers these types of questions in only the way he can. I will follow Mike wherever he goes. He is the best there is and ever was.

5. Mike deserves stars for admitting he was wrong about podcasting! - Listen, Mike ruled the biggest sports radio market on earth for decades. His takes were never ever once wrong… ever! Except when it came to denouncing podcast as a “cheap and fancy fad.” That fact that Mike ate his own hat and jumped onboard shows us all that even the great ones can be wrong and correct the error of their ways. Okay, I’m going to hang up and listen.

1. Awesome College Football Show! - Josh is great. He still really tries to focus on college football as a sport, and really maintains a focus on sport as a whole, as opposed to just micro-focusing on the game’s current elites. College football has always been a community-driven sport, where , people will sell out a stadium to watch two - teams play head to head on a random Saturday. Josh feels like one of the last of a dying breed, who still sees the sport for what it is, as opposed to just another season of Alabama vs. Georgia for another national title. Keep it up Josh!

2. Good content but it’s mainly an SEC podcast. - Josh is great and do enjoy the show. Only reason it’s not stars is because % of the show just focuses on the SEC. He then gets upset when he’s called out about that and then proceeds to spend min on Arkansas or another mid SEC team. Stopped listening to every episode since it turned into that. Now more just pick and choose the ones that aren’t all SEC for an hour. I get it though he’s a southern guy and grew up in SEC country but would rather be more honest about what this pod is about because it for sure is not a balanced podcast.
2022-11-12
3. Great show for CFB enthusiasts - I consume an embarrassing amount of college football podcasts and this may be my favorite one right now. Very good insights and he keeps it from stalling out, which is hard for a one man show. I usually find at least a few good angles for betting each week too. Appreciate the good work, my man. Keep it coming!
2022-11-05
4. Great listen - First off, I’ve listened to Josh and producer Collin since day one on the podcast, and the quality of the content, the way it has been presented and the unbiased opinions of each program has never changed!!! I’m happy for you guys and the success that has came y’all’s way! Keep up the great work and God bless!
2022-10-06
5. CFP Lover’s Dream - This show is fast-paced and gets through every important matchup, reviewing the previous week and previewing the next week. Features an oddsmaker’s perspective for those who enjoy point spreads and betting odds, but that isn’t necessary to enjoy the fantastic game breakdowns.
2022-10-05
6. SEC heavy - I really enjoy Josh’s passion for the sport and ability to do a one man show and hold interest. My main complaint is that there’s too much focus on the SEC. Not to say the SEC isn’t the best conference and the foundation of the sport but when your recap show is hyper focused on mediocre games featuring SEC teams, it’s not what I’m interested. Good games with good teams from the SEC, sure of course but a game featuring a bad Auburn team getting dragged, I tune out. I guess I can’t blame Josh, SEC fans are the most vocal and bring the most viewership/listens that can insulate from the rest of the country. Josh knows where his bread is buttered. Also seems most of his connection and sourcing around the sport is via SEC personnel. Last thing, attitude era wwf was overrated, please stop making references to them as a notion you’re a wrestling fan when you don’t both to watch the current product that is vast and good.

7. The College Football Podcast I've Been Wanting for Years - Josh and his team are great on each episode. They talk about a lot of the things going on in the sport (both on and off the field), but they also don't hesitate to let the fans steer the wheel about what the topics are from episode to episode. They also cover a wide variety of teams and players which keeps the show interesting and engaging.

8. Texas A&M will not even be a borderline top class - We will end up with a smallish class (they say), - recruits, and will end up around pts and be in the top (think Ohio St.’s class last year). We’ll have one of the highest avg. recruit rankings… top probably. Ans then get ready for our & back to back National Championship years.

1. Really good podcast, just a couple thoughts - I listen every day, and I love Judd and the boys. But the comments about Mackey are somewhat accurate lol “when will you admit that you were wrongggg” is sarcasm, so you should actually admit that you were wrong from time to time outside of Write This Down. You’re just a fan like the rest of us and a good podcast host but sometimes you denigrate your fanbase who doesn’t agree and act all annoyed with them. Btw this isn’t about Kirk, I’ve agreed with all of you on everything regarding him haha. Just my thoughts, keep up the good work.

2. My new daily addiction - Phil, Judd, and Dec find a way to talk about the Vikes EVERY day. Forthright, fun, and incredibly insightful. My football IQ grows every day and my purple passion continues to climb. Best place to go after a game (you tube) for celebrating a victory or for therapy after a loss. One message and one mission. One Super Bowl before we die! Skol!
2022-10-22
3. Vikings Fans Who Are Tired of Mediocrity - Phil, Judd and Declan are die hard Vikings fans who are just tired of the most Minnesotan saying of “There is always next year”. They are tired of mediocrity and just want the Vikings to win a Super Bowl. They are fun to listen to each day of the week as each show has a different title and different information brought. They also live the “reckless speculation lifestyle” which basically is spewing hot takes, similar to websites that offer trade/free agent speculation. All in all, a great show for Vikings fans who are tired of watching a team sell hope each year by narrowly missing the playoffs and want the Lombardi Trophy at TCO Performance Center.

4. Best MN Vikings Podcast…hands down - Phil, Judd & Declan are true Viking FANS. Phil and Judd are past beat writers, they’ve been in the locker room, they have reported on this team. Now they take this knowledge and experience to give great insights into what may be happening with their team. What I really appreciate is they do not drink the purple kool-aid but will talk about problems they perceive and ways they could be corrected. When they have been wrong they are not afraid to say they were wrong and why. I love listening to these podcasts everyday. A bonus to great information is they can be hilarious. You Berber quite know what you’re going to get but whatever comes it will be great

5. Purple Daily ROCKS!!!!! SKOR KFAN - Phil, Judd and Declan bring their purple “A” game literally every single day. If you’re a diehard Vikings fan like myself, you’d be absolutely foolish to pass this show up! They bleed purple and the takes/talkers are endless, UNBIASED (unlike KFAN) and top notch! Keep it up, boys! SKOL!
2022-09-12
6. Annoying - I used to enjoy listening to y'all but now you panic over the most stupid things imaginable. Who cares if practice is sloppy on the first day of practice? Not me nor any sane Vikings fans. Who cares if Chris Reed starts at Center? he had a good PFF grade. Also you bash cousins way too much. Purple FTW is much more enjoyable imo /
2022-08-09
7. Great show. - As someone who lives out of state, the Skor North daily content is massive for me. I rarely miss an episode of either show. I appreciate people willing to tell it like it is and reject mediocrity despite the fact that “Minnesota Nice” has programmed most of your audience to accept it.
2022-08-08
8. Mackey is an absolute hack - The self appointed “CEO of Vikings Twitter” is literally the worst part about this show. Its clear that any rational fan won’t respect anything he says. I’m ashamed to be a fan of the same team as him. Oh. And if you disagree with him on any of his half baked crappy takes he takes it about as well as a year old. Absolute hack. His obsession with hating Cousins used to be meme worthy, now it’s just absolutely pathetic and cringy. This show could possibly rival anything on kfan if the fat was trimmed. Unfortunately for these guys, the FAN will always be superior for anything Vikings related.

American Football is the untold tale of the rough-and-tumble origins of the National Football League. Produced and presented by Michael Strahan and narrated by actress and pro football enthusiast Kate Mara, this podcast reaches back into the past to explain the dirty, bloody, and tumultuous beginnings of America's most popular sport. Born from the grassroots of Middle America in the early 20th century, football exploded in popularity but quickly became rife with class conflict both on the field ...

1. Missed the Mark - I was interested in this podcast as my grandfather was the coach of the Pottsville Maroons. I was curious in what they would have to say about the Maroons, their Championship and how it was taken away from them by the NFL. Finally got to episode and the Maroons were only mentioned in passing as a footnote to in the Red Grange and New York Giants story. The Maroons beat the Chicago Cardinals for the Championship, not mentioned. The game between the Maroons and Notre Dame was scheduled before the season started and agreed to by all teams that the Champion of the NFL would play in that game, not mentioned. It was to be played in Philadelphia (Frankford) because Frankford assumed they would win the Championship, not mentioned. Frankford only scheduled a game so that they could contest the Maroons winning the NFL Championship and illegally played a game in their territory, not mentioned. By the way, it was Pottsville first year in the NFL. In addition, Pottsville beat Notre Dame, which was a key moment in the NFL to legitimize professional football over college football. If you want an account of the Maroons story, read the Breaker Boys.

2. Great Subject Badly Told - Why do you interject unrelated testimony from modern day players in a documentary is beyond my comprehension? One minute they are talking about NFL brutality and then next you have Matthew Stafford’s wife babbling about who knows what or Peyton Manning talking about teamwork. This series thoroughly missed the mark.
2023-01-04
3. Good history, but… - I love hearing about the early days of the game. But the format of this isn’t great. The fake broadcasts using current broadcasters is ok but the frequent interjections of splices from interviews that are obviously from random interviews from who knows when or for what doesn’t work for me at all. For example I’m listening to episode as I’m writing this review and they just threw in a random comment from Matthew Stanford’s wife about the life of an nfl wife. I don’t care what her story is, I want the history of the league. I was optimistic for this podcast, but am disappointed. Guess I will buy a book.

4. NFL Inside View - Growing up as a pre-Super Bowl football fan in Cleveland, I remember the radical concept of two leagues playing a final game for the championship - and the profit. (Cleveland won.) Hearing the history through the voices of players, staff, and executives brings it to life. I trust the podcast will explore the downside of the Reserve Clause, seen as so essential by owners in the formative years.

1. Mailbag Question: Could Baylor make a comeback? - Hey guys! I love the show and listen all the time. Y’all have quickly become my go-to podcast, and I enjoy all of your insights that I would never be able to have. Here’s my first question: I live in central Texas, and I was wondering if there is a possibility that the Baylor Bears are a New Years Six contender this year. If not, what is the cap for Coach Aranda and his once promising team? (That is my main question. This second is less important.) Is there anything you would alter about the new CFP? Also, what is the first non-SEC/BIG school you can see winning the new playoff? Thanks so much and appreciate all you put into the show!
2023-03-04
2. Could the expanded playoff save the ACC - Enjoy the show especially off season topics. With all the talk of Clemson and FSU carrying % of the viewership and % of the revenue could the playoff expansion offer a compromise? Instead of negotiating uneven revenue sharing of current TV rights, would a large chuck of the new ACC playoff money for teams making the playoff be enough to bridge the gap. Maybe even a distribution based on a running average of playoff appearances by team. We know Clemson would be on board, how about FSU?

3. Review Clock - Hey guys, I am an aspiring college football coach and I listen to the show all the time. I have two questions. I am going to Waco to visit Baylor soon. Do you guys have any food picks while I’m there? Second, with the NCAA trying to shorten games (they say for player safety) how would y’all feel about them having a review clock? This could either be a minute clock that if it runs the ref has to make a decision or a or so minute clock that runs every time there is a review and when it runs out nothing can be reviewed. The coaches would be allowed to decline the review to save time for later if they wanted to. Thanks! Love the show!

4. Best national CFB pod out there - Excellent podcast and a must for hardcore CFB fans. Question: when the ACC’s future is discussed, their terrible long-term TV contract is always brought up. Do you have any sense about how much the ACC could command relative to the other conferences if they were able to renegotiate their deal? Would they be closer to the SEC and Big Ten or the Big /Pac ? It seems like they have a lot of well-known brands, lots of tv markets, but only a few top-flight programs with rabid fanbases.

5. Great pod - Boiler Up (sorry Tom) - Hey guys, been listening to the pod since and love every episode. Wanted to drop a mail bag question in here. You guys did a good analysis of what the point spread would be if Georgia played the worst NFL team. What would the line look like if Georgia played one of these XFL teams? Which team would have more NFL-caliber players? Thanks again for all the quality content all year round, and Go Boilers.

6. Eye disrespect - Hey guys. Not to stir up CBS Sports podcast strife, but I have noticed that whenever Gary Parrish and Matt Norlander discuss Illinois on the “Eye on College Basketball” podcast, they always reference Tom Fornelli. Totally appropriate, as Tom is an Illinois alum and fan. But, whenever they discuss the UNC Tarheels, they never mention Chip Patterson. Or if Florida State is being discussed, Danny Kannell and Bud Elliott’s names are not invoked. Is Tom GP’s and Norlander’s bud, and the rest of you, not so much? I can’t buy that, as I have heard an episode of “Eye” when the hosts were Chip and Matt. So why is it, the rest of you aren’t identified with your alma maters when discussed on “Eye”?

7. Bud's (and Barton's?) Hidden Gems and Busts - Long time listener. Bud who are some guys you were personally higher than consensus as recruits and ending up making you look like a genius and who were some guys who really bit you in the butt? Would be cool to hear if you have any of Barton's (besides Puka Nacua) as well.

8. Great pod for both in season and the offseason - Looking forward to an exciting spring season full of content. Question: A few years back you all would adopt one Group of team and follow them throughout the season. If you all had to pick one to follow right now who would you pick and why? Also the group of has been hurt by conference realignment over the last decade, what would you do to ensure the schools and fan bases of those schools future stability?

1. Mailbag question - Y’all are great at your job. The pick six and this are amazing, Wilson maybe greatness just follows u and Rick as a life long Vikings fan I have all the respect in the world for u. Now for a mailbag question: Very sadly AT is not exactly who he has been in the past and may be a cap casualty and lots of rumors have circulated among Vikings fan pages that KOC may be looking for the OBJ to our Cooper Kupp like what opened up that ram’s offense in that Super Bowl run. Most Vikings fans were fairly satisfied with the last time you drafted a wide receiver in the first round rick and so my question to u is should the Vikings be targeting a receiver in this draft with the holes we have? And regardless of if we should or not maybe who is the realistic best pick at the , who is the dream guy, (someone who should not fall to but may just may be there) and maybe who is the best option for a value trade back. I personally would love to trade back to the beginning of the second round and pick Hyatt there. And I said Rick but obviously I would like your opinion as well Wilson.

2. The NFL Draft Fix You Needed - After PFF moved on from for Drafts because Austin Gale left for the Ringer, a gaping hole in meaningful and analytical NFL Draft content became available. With the First Pick fills that void nicely with the knowledgable and social Ryan Wilson. CBS got a big name in Rick Spielman, but he's a bit coarse to his co-host and not the most conversational. It seems to be his way or the highway, and Ryan does a nice job rolling with his punches. However, it makes a very informative podcast a little uncomfortable a couple of times each episode. This has all the makings of a -star podcast and is produced very well. Rick's shenanigans bring it down a touch for me. Enjoy the listen and highly recommend though! Great work Ryan.

3. Best Spin Off Since Frasier! - Loving the pod so far, never heard a real GMs insight before! Who do you guys think will be over drafted because of their position and who do you think will be under drafted because of their position? Also, my buddy is related to Trae Waynes and I like his story, would love to hear Ricks thoughts when they drafted him. Appreciate all your hard work!
2023-02-21
4. Great show - Love the banter between the hosts. And love watching you guys on YouTube every week. Have a question for Rick. When it comes to testing numbers, do you put more value on the combine compared to the pro day or vice versa? I ask, because it has been known at certain pro days, cough, cough, Clemson, cough, cough, Penn State, I am a Penn State fan, that it might actually be a or yard dash and such.
2023-02-17
5. Unprofessional - I was super excited to get an in depth view of the draft process from a unique perspective.. boy was I wrong.. rick is the most condescending, arrogant, “all about me,” and just all around unlikeable person I’ve ever listened to.. he doesn’t respect his co host or guests, openly mocks any views that aren’t his own, coughs and sneezes and clears his throat on the mic, and very stuck in his ways.. maybe that’s why he was fired from his GM job.. I feel bad for ryan cuz he’s very professional and knowledgeable about prospects but it’s clear he doesn’t like rick.. this isn’t the only cbs podcast where the hosts clearly don’t like each other.. it’s wild that a massive brand is just so bad at getting people to mesh on a podcast.. I didn’t give it star because I do like ryan and would love to listen to a podcast with him only.. cbs needs to consider what the Vikings did, and drop the corn ball boomer who needs to be the smartest person in the room at all times
2023-02-16
6. Best Draft Podcast - The content and conversation between Rick and Rick entertaining and really information! The things they talk about are what a fan from the outside looking on want to hear. Question for Rick: Tariq Woolen obviously had an amazing rookie campaign, which is even more impressive given the fact that he was a th round pick. If you had to pick one player in this year’s draft that will most likely be a day guy, but have the most potential to have an impact like Woolen, who would it be and why?

7. A - I listen to podcasts all day long but hardly review any. This is worthy of the time to write a quick note. Always enjoyed Ryan Wilson crushing Brinson on the pick pod and now Spielman is dunking on Wilson through the first episodes of this one. Looking forward to continuing to catch up and follow this pod through the off season. Great chemistry and content here. Way to go CBS.

8. Bears precedent - The Bears ironically set a precedent in trading up slot with the ers to draft a QB. In that trade they lost by points, based on the draft value chart.
With that in mind
How does it look in this years draft if the Bears trade slot down with Houston? I’m expecting the Bears to be major deal makers in the draft. With so many teams in the top wanting QBs is it possible for the bears to trade back multiple times in the top ? Design a scenario where the Bears trade back with Houston, the Colts and Seattle. While also drafting Anderson. This next part doesn’t have to be on the pod just me spit balling that scenario based on my research. Just my idea. Trade picks , rd to Houston For picks and Trade picks , nd to the Colts for picks , , st round pick and Leonard or Nelson Trade picks , to Seattle for picks , , DK Metcalf I’m sure you guys have a much better understanding on how Pick values work. Would love to hear your ideas in thes type of scenarios.

1. Best vikings podcast - Lot of weird reviews on here. This is by far the best Vikings podcast available. I’ve listened to most of the Vikes podcasts out there and Coller is insightful, objective, and analytical. He helps dissect the game and creates good content while doing it. His guests are phenomenal, which says a lot about the respect he’s earned in the industry. Hilarious that all of the negative reviews are “he was too mean to my team and hates Kirk.”
2022-12-16
2. Negative Takes Every Week - When I first started listening, I thought, “Man, it’s kinda refreshing to hear objective, sometimes critical views of the Vikings.” But episode after episode, Coller shows little to no positivity about the Vikings. The Vikings keep winning and Coller keeps criticizing. You’d honestly think he’s a closeted Packers fan. It’s more about the mistakes the other team makes than what the Vikings do to win the game. If you are a Vikings fan that wants real takes, positive and critical, Purple Daily is much better than this podcast. PD will actually give the Vikings credit where credits is due. Guests on Purple Insider are fine but there are better podcasts out there.
2022-11-14
3. Honest Review - I’ve been listening to matthew for a few years now, and i can honestly say that for the most part what he says it true. but in the same vein i can also say that the amount of pessimism he spews just it almost impossible to listen to sometimes. it’s like if we don’t have patrick mahomes or josh allen he’s basically gonna say we have no chance unless that chance actually comes to fruition.
2022-11-07
4. Leader of Negativity - Somehow this pod just can’t be positive about anything. It’s sad. Also blocked me on twitter last summer for asking a question on if he would change the way he would rank QBs in the draft because all the draft experts were wrong. Maybe form your own opinion… maybe not use other peoples work, then blame them when you are so wrong. Let’s stop talking about Diet Dr Pepper and actually do some work. I stopped listing for months, decide to check back in cause I thought there was no way this could be an unhappy pod. No is is arguing the Vikings have flaws, but admitting all you want to do is talk about how WASH didn’t want to win the game is silly. If the Vikings ever win a SB Mathew should not be allowed to celebrate.
2022-11-06
5. The guests are good. - If it wasn’t for the mediocre host and his annoying voice this would be a show worth listening to. I tried for a few months and finally took it out of my feed. Get a good host who is actually a fan of the team, and I’d probably come back. Until then there is much better Vikings podcasts out there.
2022-10-31
6. Top notch Vikings content! - Matthew Coller is an ABSOLUTE MUST in your lineup of Vikings pods. Great takes, awesome guests and extremely entertaining conversations make it easily one of the best choices you’ll make if you’re a diehard Vikes fan like me who wants to keep up with the team all year long. SKOL, Matthew! Great stuff!

7. This is the best Vikings podcast I listen to out of I use daily! - Matthew Coller is such an amazing host who has fun games . Great intelligence and knowledge of the game and history of the team. Some of his takes will make you wanna choke him while others you literally think he has hacked your brain. I have listened to Coller even back to when he would do Purple Daily with Manny Hill and after he left that show I googled his name over times trying to find him til I found this podcast purple insider and it hadn’t even started yet! That’s how good he is I went out of my way to go find him! Please listen to the show and spread the word cause I want him to succeed just like we all want to succeed . He’s a fantastic person and a great host. Purple Insider is the best podcast and I listen to soooo many Vikings podcasts with good hosts and good shows this is the very best and first one I listen to
2022-08-12
8. Informative and Engaging for all Vikings fans - I began listening to Purple Insider a couple years ago, and was hooked instantly. Matthew does a great job bringing in guests and “experts” that dive into different facets of the game and team, which ultimately make me feel more informed about a sport I love. One con, though, is that he probably won’t win any singing or song-writing awards. But hey, even Tom Brady isn’t perfect. Jokes aside, I highly recommend this to any Vikings or football fans in general.

1. -star Mailbag question - Hi Andy and Ari! Huge fan. Ari, it’s almost my birthday and I requested Domino’s cheesy bread from my wife. Andy, I don’t want to hang out with you only because you have such a big personality that I couldn’t hang. Y’all both rock. My question. Doesn’t the Jaden Rashada thing ultimately fall on him? He’s an adult. I listened to Andy as a guest with Bruce and Stu and Andy was the only one who made any sense. The thing is I don’t have a problem with NIL and most people don’t. I worried that we’d get into the game of kid gloves when we want and big boy money games when we want, which is the Rashada case. Either these guys are men and can make money and face the real world consequences when things don’t work out or they can’t. What am I, and a lot of other normal CFB fans, missing here?! Go Huskers. Sincerely, Naples (Fl) Nate. P.S.- I’m not trying to be an A.S.S. (See what I did there? ) But I got hooked into the Army by a recruiter when I was for WAY WAY less money with way way more danger and realized that, man, I made that decision…and it worked out decently. That’s most people’s attitudes, regardless of station or outcome.

2. Simply the Best - Best national podcast there is. The variety of hosts and topics is unmatched. Great analysis of topics that are meaningful and outright foolishness combine to keep you coming back each time. Ari trying to math on what percentage out of is and the lack of “masteringly” of the English language by these wordsmiths can only be described as an assault on the American education system. Don’t miss out!
2023-01-16
3. Ari we are out here! - Love this show. Best cfb pod going. Tons of insightful analysis with some people who are clearly plugged in. That being said, Ari I support your stars matter thesis and agree with many of your more controversial takes. Somehow you’re brave for saying that good players help teams win and I want you to know there are people who support you. Keep it up both of you!
2023-01-16
4. Get Rid of Ari - This feed is fantastic with one gaping exception: Ari Wasserman is an idiot. He engages in the worst kind of hyperbole and then is bewildered when fans of the show (and Ralph Russo) call him out for it. If the show were only Andy and his friends except Ari, this would be a five-star review. The most recent episode “Ari takes a victory lap” was an hour of nauseating idiocy. I feel sorry for Vanderbilt alum Mitch Light for having to put up with such a dumb co-host. Do better, Athletic!
2023-01-11
5. Jack hole - Andy Stapler is a jack hole. No idea why any one would go on this show. If he wasn’t on it, it’d be pretty good. Except for Ari. Fat clown. And Auerbach is totally lost Otherwise terrible. Stop playing with your pets during the podcast. Clowns. Ari blow your nose! It’s disgusting! Add Tuned in for Michigan sanctions podcast. Guess what, they don’t care. Rules don’t matter. Just do whatever you want. Funnest part is when Ari calls himself a journalist. Which is either hilarious or a vicious indictment of the state of journalism. You pick.
2023-01-06
6. Cheers to Power Auer - I’m giving this feed stars purely because I love Power Auer. The actual Andy Staples show could be a great listen if they got rid of Ari as a cohost. I don’t even care about his bad takes. Those I could handle, but this man is dull and smug, and I don’t like listening to dull and smug podcasters. Again, Power Auer is amazing though. Give it its own feed like it deserves.
2023-01-02
7. Star Question - Hey guys, Love the Pod. I had a thought the other day, with coaches buyouts getting so extreme - at what point does it become a better ROI for schools and boosters to NOT fire and buy out a coach, and instead repurpose those funds for a few massive NIL classes for or more years to see if they can right the ship?
2022-12-14
8. The Best - Andy and Ari are always entertaining. Love their dialog. Ari could stand to learn a little more about the SEC but otherwise no complaints. Of course, guess I could stand to learn more about the PAC. Anyway, for my money Andy is the best national writer/commentator in the business. Love his football and food takes. Keep it up, gentlemen!
