Huberman Lab discusses neuroscience: how our brain and its connections with the organs of our body control our perceptions, our behaviors, and our health. We also discuss existing and emerging tools for measuring and changing how our nervous system works. 1. Changed my life - I tell everyone about this podcast because I have literally changed so many aspects of my life for the better because of the information that Huberman has so clearly, meticulously and incisively explained. I feel like I’m taking a college class with the best professor with the most applicable and important information about health and wellness. Thank you Huberman!

2. Great source of knowledge - It is a challenge to find verifiable evidence-based information in the tremendous volume of opinions, fads, and advertisements. The Huberman podcast is a rare find. Here you can listen to scientists who describe their research and findings, and learn how you can apply this knowledge to your own life.

3. We get it, you really, really like Stanford… - I have a mega crush on Dr. Huberman, but my crush (plus notching down my rating to four stars) lessens each time he says “Stanford.” % of his mentions of the school seem completely gratuitous and therefore get very obnoxious. It makes me wonder if he’s paid each time he mentions them… (He endlessly did these Stanford plugs even on the Joe Rogan show!) We get it, Dr. Huberman, you’re a super smart guy (why we listen!) and powerhouse researcher who went to/works at Stanford. Now let’s please move on.

4. Depression/serotonin: Dr. Julia Moncrieff’s study in journal NATURE - Hoping Andrew sees this note and addresses on a future episode: Learned a lot from Andrew’s episode about major depression, the neuroscience behind it, and why/how certain antidepressants work. But then on July , , the reputable journal Nature published the article “The serotonin theory of depression: a systematic umbrella review of the evidence” by Dr. Julia Moncrieff et al., which posits that there actually isn’t real evidence that depression is tied to low[er] levels of serotonin, or that the SSRI’s work (and even when they do, that they work materially better than placebos). Would really appreciate hearing Andrew reconcile the two in an update to said episode. Thank you for all your work, and for sharing it with the public!

5. Life changing information - I am so thankful that someone is willing to do all this research to help my vitality. Great info and so much fascinating science. The first episode I listened to was the one on alcohol and it’s effects. I only downloaded because I saw it on apple app store’s top ten shared episodes list of . I casually decided to listen to it (with my husband) on a road trip. We had no expectations except to fill the time with something interesting. By the time we reached our destination we were enlightened by all the scientifically backed info packed into the episode. I swear, from that moment in early January, any desire for alcohol was magically erased from my mind. Just knowing the facts made me question my desire… understanding the ‘why’ behind the urge to drink. It’s not like I’m trying to quit, but more like exposing the reasons behind the habit removed all desire for it. Thank you Andrew!! I love the enthusiasm and curiosity that drives each of his episodes!!

6. I call for new hubris - Solid subscribe. This lab’s intellectual and practical resources are exciting and unsurpassed. In which case, how can they best benefit all aspects of our humanity? (Assuming that’s a goal.) This podcast’s hubris resonates as extractive. A world-class, tenured team can do riskier research and produce eps w more creative marketing strategies. Flatter the listener’s more noble interests. (They exist.) I plead: more basic inquiry in the spirit of curious exploration and less a priori quest for mastering humanity’s (lucrative) efficiency. I hope this challenge echoes in your mind when writing the next grant proposal.

7. Insanely informative! - I really do enjoy this podcast. It’s like getting a college education without the college price tag. Obviously it can’t compare to the thoroughness of college but Andrew really loves what he does and conveys that passion and how he teaches and presents information. Thank you so much I’ve learned so much from this podcast and look forward to each new episode.

8. Well researched topics that truly make science accessible to all - I cannot begin to explain how wonderful this podcast is…I often find myself taking down notes/ articles to read to better understand the topics discussed. There is so much data out there and to have intellectuals with knowledge of the field (and knowledge of how to read studies/data) interpret that for layman is so great. I have made many dietary/habit based changes that have been discussed on this podcast and I’ve noticed improvements after implementing them!

1. I love you Jay!! - I wanted to leave a message to you here after meeting you - I was truly starstruck and did not know how to react. I’m not even sure if I introduced myself, but my name is Sophia and I am one of your biggest fans. It was an absolute honor to experience your show and meet you in person. I truly did not know how to react when meeting you because you inspire me daily with your podcast and everything you share on socials, not to mention the life-changing show I attended before getting to meet you in person, mind truly blown. (btw highly recommend to everyone, hope this tour was the first of many!! Unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before) I attended the SF show and the entire experience felt like an out of body experience where I felt connected/ in alignment with my heart & soul the entire time. I laughed, I cried, and created priceless memories. I brought my mom to the show who I am now convinced is an even bigger fan than I am! We listen to your podcast, read your books, and discuss you & the topics you’ve introduced us to almost daily. Jay you are a very special human being and have changed so many people’s lives including my own. I truly hope and pray more people like you exist in the world on well known platforms because we need this type of wisdom and knowledge to go viral everyday!! I have always felt so out of place in the world and when I turn on your podcast I feel like I found the friend I’ve always been searching for as well as the community I’ve always longed for. Thank you so much. I wish I had better prepared before I met you so I could’ve shared this all in person, but you were just so kind & humble which made it even harder for me to process because I truly view you as such an incredible person! How could someone so normal be so inspiring and have such a tremendous impact on me? But that’s what you teach us - we are all humans, with the same beating hearts trying to live out our purpose. Simple yet so powerful. It was an absolute honor and pleasure. I hope to attend every show of yours and also have another chance to meet you with more intention behind it. I love you Jay!! Also, just wanted to mention how I loved each introduction for you was a recording of Radhi announcing you! Every detail of the show was absolutely incredible. Thank you for everything Jay! PS Radhi if you’re reading this I love you too!!

2. Your podcast titles are a misnomer - It takes you - minutes to get to the topic as advertised and then you don’t always do it. Stop taking so much time to interview folks about their personal life (it gets boring) and cut to the chase. It’s almost like a “bait and switch” with your podcast titles. Disappointing.

I love following both of them on Instagram too!

6. Life change content - I have always seen the name but never felt the need to dive in to Jay’s context. One day my Reiki master suggested “Think like a monk”. I can honestly say I’m an truly grateful for all of the information Jay shares with the world.

8. My morning cup of mindfulness - I was actually born in India. In a crazy hippie cult. Then raised in countries. I was a little white haired year old when my parents signed over my custody to another family in an Indian law office. I never went to school and had a baby at in Italy. Short of the long is that. I’m a survivor. I’m so grateful I ran across your podcast about a year ago.
When my world is chaotic and I feel trigured and exhausted by everything on my plate. I put my earbuds in and listen to your podcast. It helps me feel grounded and have clarity. I also listen to the Daily Jay on Calm while sitting in the sauna at the gym. When I can. Thanks for all that you do. The wisdom that you curate is healing and so needed. Have a lovely day! Jay

1. My Go To Mindful Podcast - I’m an The Art of Being Well junkie. It’s my favorite podcast to help me reach my well being goals. I love how often new episodes come out and the variety of guests. I also enjoy the episodes where it is Dr. Cole and his team talking about upcoming books, questions submitted, etc. I regularly listen and always learn something new. Each week another new topic and new expert being featured. I’m an active year old with an autoimmune disease. I like to take care of myself and learn about disease in general. I love learning about new wellness tips and new interpretations of medical studies. Dr. Cole keeps the conversations interesting with thoughtful questions. The episodes also have a comforting feel. You feel like his guests are your friends by the end. I also love the rapid fire questions at the end of each episode. @lauracroniger

This podcast serves as an excellent entryway and guide to navigate this growing medical field.

4. So informative and fun - I love this show!!!! I’ve learned so much about health that I’ve incorporated into my life. I’m in grad school and struggling with some health issues that western doctors can’t figure out. I can’t afford a functional med doctor so this feels like a nice free resource in the meantime. Great show.

5. Dr. Will Cole is an American Treasure - I listen to a lot of wellness podcasts but this is in my top . Dr. Will Cole is such a kind soul. He’s not only super knowledgeable and educated but he’s open to any and all beliefs and viewpoints. I love how many different people he features from all walks of life. He also includes his expertise WHILE allowing his guests to talk! Heck, he names his podcast after them (“This is ‘Guest’s Name’ Art of Being Well”). @Julierswanson on IG

6. Such a gem! - I love the physical, mental and spiritual health advice and inspiration on this pod! The variety of thoughtful guests, “ask me anything,” episodes, perspective from Dr. Cole’s clinical staff, and testimonials from patients are all so insightful and make navigating chronic illness feel much more empowering!

7. A man who says he has given birth - Dave Asprey opens by stating that he does too know what it’s like to have a baby. That’s a full stop for me. Yes, writing a book is difficult and an act of creation. Minimizing the actual biological act of gestating and birthing a human being by comparison is ridiculous. Any person willing to do that is not someone I want to listen to.

8. The best!! - I absolutely love these podcasts! Every show is a new deep dive into an interesting health topic with amazing guests and insightful information. My favorites are the intermittent fasting shows because that is my passion but every show brings some new health information into my world! 1. Awesome team! Mark and Lewis - Gentlemen, I listen to both of your podcasts regularly. They are great. This one was especially poignant for me today. I want to start the journey.

3. : Genetics of the grain we eat, not genetics of the human - At about the one hour mark of the Hyman/food/obesity problem, they discuss how genetics might be blamed for overeating. However they immediately assumed the genetics of Americans was the issue, it’s not so much. The genetics of wheat is the biggest change. William Davis, “Wheat Belly” fame nails this. / of our calories come from ultra processed food so it’s impractical to get this to go away, but only / is from grains. We could replace that! The majority of our appetite aberration is (probably) caused by the bit of wheat protein after digestion in our diet. Get rid of processed grain (including bread) “whole” or not, out of your diet and replace with legumes, nuts and non-grass seeds which are greatly undereaten. Nutrition is complex and separating the wheat from the chaff (haha) is hard and obfuscation is easy. This simple step — avoid all wheat— will solve -% of the overeating problem.

4. Great information - I’m giving this stars based solely on the editing, which is sometimes very choppy. But that’s no reason not to listen. This pod is full of great information and has so far (this past month) turned me on to books that have been extremely helpful. Dr. Hyman is a chatty, warm and charming host, and is himself full of great advice and perspective. Looking forward to reading the new book on Longevity.

5. Mark Hyman thinks “young” is the same as “healthy” - Some episodes have helpful, thoughtful information and insights but they are overshadowed by mark’s interruptions and comments. Let your guests speak! I thought this was a health podcast that would have lots of different topics for a diverse audience but it seems the focus is on “being young.” Mark seems to equate youth with health and it comes off as though he is absolutely terrified of embracing his age. Also, the burping and slurping is so gross and I’m not sure if it bothers anyone else but it bothers me!

6. Political views off putting - Listening to the episode on failing and succeeding in love. I was liking the podcast until you decided to put down a past president with a comment you made. It was extremely off putting and we completely lost interest in the rest of your podcast. Not a good idea to alienate listeners by bad mouthing a president. You should leave those kind of comments out of your podcasts.

7. Why does he even bother having guests on? - I can not listen to this show. Dr. Hyman’s ego is massive. He constantly interrupts and talks over his guests. Hyman is so set on what HE wants to impart that the very interesting, knowledgeable, and learned guests are left mumbling. The flow of the interview is thrown off each time his demanding voice interrupts what could be an interesting discussion. He needs to learn how to listen, take an interest in what others are saying, and shut up. At this point, I am surprised he finds guests to come on the show. He also burbs A LOT - RIGHT into the mic! It is extremely offputting.
2023-01-20
8. Informative but also Repetitive - This podcasts is informative. I appreciate Dr. Hyman’s holistic approach to his work, something I wish more doctors did. I find it can be pretty repetitive most episodes. He tends to talk over his guests, and when he does it seems to be discourse on his “low body fat percentage” which he loves to just casually slip in. The silent burping that happens weirds me out, like maybe he talks to quickly and runs out of breath? I loved his books and the Fed Up documentary. Maybe folks should start with those then transition to the podcast.

1. Great variety of topics - Although Ten Percent focuses quite a bit on mindfulness as a route to happiness (which works btw!) Dan Harris often ranges more widely in these discussions and takes on topics of great interest if you are, as he says, trying to “do life better”. Dan is a skilled interviewer which makes this podcast very informative and enjoyable to listen to.

2. sujatha baliga-with gratitude - I have listened to TPH for years or so, and every now and then, an interview stands out and grabs my attention. The episode with sujatha baliga and restorative justice/forgiveness filled me with awe (Dacher Keltner) with her story and of what could be. So grateful for the podcast and the amazing people this self-deprecating skeptic-seeker called Dan Harris brings to our hearts.

3. Love this show - I’ve been listening to it for several years and it’s become my morning, get-my-head-straight ritual. It goes great with coffee! I’ve been introduced to healthier ways of thinking and operating in the world. My meditation practice has definitely improved. I appreciate the balance of mind/body/spirit teaching with scientific data to back it up. And Dan Harris’s journalistic approach, vulnerability, and humor are the magic sauce that make the perfect morning dish!

4. Amazing content - I’m have struggled with a meth addiction since . Since starting to listen in , this podcast is a centerpiece of my recovery. It’s helped me build a sense of spirituality through meditation while also giving me helpful tools for when my addict brain raises its voice to remind me it’s there. I’m currently months clean. The content on this podcast regularly helps me with introspection and self-love among many other qualities I am working on cultivating. Amazing work Dan and the team.

5. Great podcast! - Like the title implies, this podcast is full of advice and perspective that will make you a little happier! I think the host Dan is a good stand in for the average listener, he offers just the right amount of his own opinions and asks great questions. Overall, excellent podcast! I recommend to anyone who loves crime podcasts but is feeling a little depressed on them, give this a try!

6. They Listen to feedback from listeners!! - First of all, this show is fantastic! I wrote a review a few years ago outlining why I love this show. It has made a huge impact on me, and over the years an impact on my community as I am a program director of a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility, and I share these concepts and practices with clients as a certified mindfulness teacher. (Not trying to sound conceited, I plant seeds and invest in the process, not the outcome). The book and podcast absolutely sparked my journey to health and a bit more happiness. The reason I decided to write another review was because they changed the intro music!!! Which I have asked in the past during their surveying, among other suggestions and feedback that they absolutely followed through with. Love that Dan does most of the ads, as the ads in the past were incredibly jarring and loud, which took away from the vibe of the podcast lol. So I just immensely appreciate the fact that the team at TPH listens for feedback and makes changes accordingly for their audience. Thanks again Dan and everyone!!! You guys rock!

7. Major Acclaim for Dan Harris & % Happier Pod - I stumbled upon this podcast through a recommendation when going through a tough time in my life a little over years ago, leaving college to be exact and feelings like I lacked direction and understanding of myself and the world. I’m not going to say this podcast turned that whole perspective on its head, but I will say that Dan’s story himself, the guests he’s had on the show, and the intentional strategies shared made managing the experience a whole lot easier. To this day, I still listen to the pod and what I love most about it on a macro level is that Dan hasn’t taken his foot off the pedal an inch. You can tell the subject matter of meditation and his curiosity in interacting with a whole host of different guests is genuine. When I first started listening, I was unsure of the legitimacy of meditation as a means to improve not only mood and lower anxiety, but my overall worldview and ability to manage change and challenges that life inevitably presents us with. Thank you Dan and production team for having such a terrific, insightful, and engaging podcast that has truly helped encourage me to change my life for the better.

8. This has become my favorite podcast - I started out finding the host a bit annoying, and thought he might be too skeptical or cynical for what I was looking for. But over several years, either he’s calmed down or I’ve gotten used to his style and have grown to really respect the caliber of guests he invites, his topics and how they often feel so relevant to me, and the intelligence and grace behind his interviews. You’re doing a great job, Dan! Thanks for teaching me so much.

1. Longevity and health information superstar! - I have been listening to Peter Attia’s podcast for years now. You, Dr Attia have an amazing style and voice for so many interesting health topics. I look forward to checking a few times a week to see what has downloaded for my listening experience. I just heard you speak with Dr Huberman about emotional health and a glimpse of your own struggles and experiences. It was so moving. Thank you for showing that side of life with such honesty and heart.

2. Awesome & Informative - As a non-medical professional, I’ve learned so much from this podcast. Dr. Attia provides you the tools needed to be your own advocate regarding your health. He has wonderful guests and a great personality. I really enjoy listening and can’t wait for new episodes. Thank you for sharing what you know with the public and keeping us informed of our rights and crucial info so that we can be up-to-date on Healthcare news.

3. Episode The Fentanyl Crisis - Targeting Non Addicts - This minute episode is a “Public Service Announcement” made by Dr. Attia and broadcasted immediately after the interview. Please take the time to listen to the first minutes. That’s all that you’ll need to understand how important this episode is to you, your friends and family and this country.

4. Always interesting - I really like this show, especially because Dr Attia doesn’t shy away from getting very medical, technical and sciencey. You know he is passionate about improving health and lifespan from how into
Things he gets! This really makes this podcast stand apart from other health podcasts. I am a layperson, so things often go over my head, but I always learn things on each epidural. I recommend highly the most recent episide with Dr Layne Norton ( ) - it might be the most I’ve learned on health and fitness from any one single podcast ( it was over hours long too!) I also found the interview with Holly Baxter () - as a woman I loved that episode. Thanks Dr Attia!

5. Look forward to each episode - I am sorry that I hadn’t connected with you sooner. I learned of you from the Limitless series and searched for you. Thankfully you were easy to find. As a year old that is trying to change mindset and activity to create a longer and healthier life your content is invaluable. The more I listen, the more I learn so I can take more control of how I age. I’ve shared your podcast with my circle of influence and will continue to do so as the opportunity presents itself.

6. If Peter would only stop interrupting… - …the podcasts would be shorter and we could hear the guests. Interviewees are usually excellent, but Peter’s ego and need to demonstrate his superior knowledge dominate every podcast. I finally gave up with the upper extremity podcast - let the guy talk! The caloric restriction/fasting podcast was also a great example of Peter being unwilling to let actual data and information intrude on his beliefs/practices. I'm done.

7. A poor recommendation by MMM - I theory I should love this show but I can never get through it. I become so frustrated that the hosts talk about what they are going to talk about and - minutes in they still haven’t actually gotten into the subject matter. After three episodes I give up. GET TO THE POINT. So frustrating. You did me wrong Mr. Money Mustache.

1. Awesome Awesome Awesome and Thank you - I listen to a lot of different podcast and I have to say yours is definitely one of my top . Ya know when you’re listening in your car and the episode is over it automatically goes to the previous episode? Well I NEVER have to change it because your content is so awesome and relevant to so much of my life. I just got done listening to episode this morning on my way to work (learned so much), now heading home episode came on, it’s your interview on Ed Mylett’s podcast (love him by the way too). I cannot wait to drive to work tomorrow to listen to this. I’m minutes in and I can so relate. Thank you for all you do, for sharing all your knowledge and for your amazing guests. Thank you

2. Searching for Greatness not ratings - As the School of Greatness and Lewis himself have gained popularity over the years, the Greatness team has held steady on not falling into the trap of “which next celebrity can I get next” like many other podcasts I’ve listened to in this personal development space have. Lewis seeks experts. Not who is on the top charts or who will get him the most views, likes or clicks. It’s a beautiful that that he brings experts that deserve the spotlight to the stage via this podcast. My reccomendation!
2023-03-21
3. Essential - I wasn’t always a fan of Lewis Howes. Until a few years ago, I found him egotistical and narcissistic (for example, in older interviews that may still be on YouTube, he would place his book next to that of the guest he was interviewing, rather than letting his guest’s work get all the shine it deserved - dude, stop hijacking your guests’ special moment to make it about you!). But in recent years I’ve come to respect, admire, and be inspired by him for sharing his struggles, how he got professional help, and how he shifted his attitude and actions to lifting others up without getting in their way and expecting something in return. People can change, and the ones who do get even more respect when they admit their failures and use their lessons to inspire others. I now regularly listen to his podcast and get a huge mental boost out of each one. He asks the right questions and truly listens. While it’s true that there are so many ads now, the episodes are free and worth listening to. I’ve adopted a number of good habits, many thanks to him!

Sooo grateful - Lewis-I have listened to you for years-But today’s podcast with Mel Robbins really resonated with me-For years I have listened to you make reference to the time that you spent “on your sisters couch”-but I never knew the backstory that you had broken your wrist. I’m years old and just spent the last year healing from shattering my wrist and having a titanium plate and pins put in… It was so encouraging to hear you describe how you made it through such a difficult and challenging journey. You Gave me great hope thank you so much. Maureen

6. I love your questions Lewis - This podcast delivers a ton of value . Lewis finds the most inspiring thinkers to come on the show ..therefore I can always be sure to learn something new and interesting about myself or my business. Often I take notes and follow up on some of the suggestions later. Working alone in my studio most days, this podcast brightens my day and lightens my load !! I feel like I am not alone in doing the hard things that are required to level up !!

7. If you want to thrive in life, listen to a wise man - Lewis Howes has been through a lot in life. Throughout the past years he has brought his listeners value to aid in their emotional and psychological growth. He’s on a mission and if you don’t get on his team today you’ll be left on the sidelines — in life, in sports, in relationships, and lose out on a chance to conquer what’s holding you back. Listen and learn. There’s gold in these podcasts and in Lewis’s words of wisdom. Good luck! Sabah Fakhoury, Chief Rabblerouser

8. Truly Great - Lewis does an amazing job of picking out the most amazing guests and asking them the questions that most any of us would. He also tends to challenge/give his guests a call to action of some kind in most shows. This podcast has had a huge impact on my life and mindset. Truly thankful to have found it years ago.

1. Sticks and Stones - I am a great fan of these podcasts. They have helped me immensely and allow me to have quality sleep. However, in this one you have two spots you need to edit out. About three quarters through you are making personal comments in your normal voice about a sound booth and external noise.
2023-03-22
2. Highly recommend!! - I’ve been listening for a little over a year, the story and narration are equally mesmerizing. On days that i find myself especially wound up, I fast forward straight to the story, and listen while I get ready for bed. It slows my thoughts down and then I jump into bed and start it over so she can “tuck me and help me completely relax and fall asleep.

3. So beautifully written. - Wish there were enough for every night! Her beautiful little stories give my mind a calm, soothing resting place. Her thoughtful word selection maintains a wonderful positivity without being at all cloying. That’s a gift! And her delivery has improved over the years from being really good to really great. (Thank you!)
2023-03-08
4. The best I’ve found - reliable and quick sleep - Katherine writes her own stories and they are the perfect balance - enough detail and events to keep my mind engaged but nothing stressful or jarring. I have a few podcasts I use to fall asleep but this one is my reliable first choice when I wake in the middle of the night. And she is right about the brain training part. After a few weeks, it was working so well Most times I fall asleep so fast that I can’t remember anything beyond the introduction.
2023-03-05
5. Best sleep stories ever - I have been a poor sleeper since childhood. I have listened to sleep stories from many different apps over the last few years. The combination of Kathryn’s voice and her subject matter are unbeatable!! Also the volume of stories available is extremely helpful. On one particularly bad night of sleep, I let her stories just keep playing all night. Although I woke up many times, her voice would put me back to sleep in no time!! Previously that would’ve been a sleepless night for me! She’s the best!!
2023-02-27
6. Obsessed with this! - I have had difficulties falling asleep since childhood. I absolutely love this podcast! I am not the best at relaxing. Kathryn Nicolai is a master at soothing. Sometimes I’m not even going to sleep and will listen when I feel a bit edgy. Love the cozy, winter or rainy stories (my favorite weather). Thank you for sharing your gift with us

7. A doubter into a believer - I have been listening to this podcast for over years. At that time, it took me min- hour to go to sleep, often longer. When I started, I would usually listen all the way into the second telling of the story. The more I listened, the less story I heard. Now, when I start this podcast, I fall asleep almost immediately. I never thought that would happen or was even possible. Just last night, I didn’t even get through the introduction to the story. It’s like when they put you under for surgery and ask you to count to . At you feel so awake like “this isn’t working” and then the next thing you know, you’re waking up from surgery. Anyway, without Kathryn & sound engineer Bob Whittersheim, I would have much, much less sleep and many more exhausted days. I recommend this podcast to everyone who ever mentions sleepless nights!

8. Perfect bedtime companion - I could sit down and listen to this podcast all day - the stories are that interesting - but at the same time I’d be asleep before the second reading was done. While Nothing Much Happens I can’t wait to hear what will happen next. The best way to calm my mind and slide into sleep I’ve found

1. Incredible podcast, just one small quibble. - I love this podcast. I finally feel “seen,” even though it’s audio, ha. It’s liberating and informative, and once I discovered it, I binged it for days. (Poor choice of word for this podcast? Pun unintended.) I’m a -year-old fat woman and I feel like this is the first space where I don’t have to apologize for existing. (Only reason it’s not stars is because sometimes they talk over audio clips, and I can’t hear what’s being shared. And Mike’s spit-laugh (I don’t know how else to describe it) directly into the microphone just grosses me out. I realize this is a personal thing, but he did it twice during an audio clip on the episode I was listening to - so frustrating! I couldn’t hear the actual clip and there’s no rewinding…)
2023-03-24
2. All I talk about is how much I love this podcast - I avoided listening to this for so long as I have been recovering from disordered eating and I was afraid of confronting myself/hearing things that would make me uncomfortable. Now that I’ve started listening I cannot stop! It is educational, hilarious, validating, angering.. makes me laugh and also makes me want to tell everyone I know to listen!
2023-03-23
3. Insightful and Funny - One of my favorite podcasts! The hosts are great! I may not agree with everything they say and that’s ok. They are able to share research AND have a sense of humor which opens up the dialogue on various topics related to diet culture and the wellness industry. At times laugh out loud funny.
2023-03-22
4. Remember they are not scientists, doctors, or dietitians - Listen to this show as entertainment, not as science. I put it in the category of opinion shows which air on cable “news” channels. I’ve stopped listening because they are so dismissive and sarcastic - which I know many listeners love. Yes, they can be very funny. But they are at least as biased as the experts they skewer with their vastly oversimplified summaries crafted for ultimate snark. Apparently everyone has ill intent for society except the hosts themselves.
2023-03-20
5. Unpacking my anti-fat bias thanks to these two! - I’ve been following since about a month ago and just subscribed…currently binging all the subscriber episodes as we speak. I’m really grateful to Michael and Aubrey for their humor (I think this is the only podcast I listen to where I actively laugh out loud) and their perspective. Happy to learn from you both.
2023-03-16
6. Learn stuff & laugh too! - I always feel like a learn something new and/or gain insights into a subject every episode. As a fellow “fat lady about town” Aubrey has an uncanny way of crystallizing my thoughts on things that just feel “icky” but I can’t put my finger on why. I so appreciate Michael’s way of asking real, pointed questions without being snarky. That is until he’s dunking on Gwyneth ;D LOVE YOU BOTH!!
2023-03-15
7. Really good - Love your show sir much! I think you should do an episode on the Satchmo diet. Louis Armstrong the musician had a popular and he wrote books about it that recommended people take laxatives to lose weight! You can find the diet on eBay or anywhere online. I feel like you could do a deep dive on this like you did on the ed McMahon diet
2023-03-14
8. Top Favorite Podcast - Love hearing different perspectives on a topic thats literally drilled in our heads everyday. Making us feel like anything about being fat is utterly unhealthy & just bad for our society as a whole. Turn it on in you car, or headphones & listen up folks. fatacceptance yesimfat dontcare

1. This works!! - I’ve been listening every night for at least weeks now and I’m asleep within minutes. I’ve had such a huge problem with falling asleep for as long as I can remember. I can be tired but still lay awake for hours, my brain full steam ahead. I’ve tried so many different things to help, reading, routines, sleep supplements and pills, and other podcasts and none of them have consistently worked for me. My trouble falling and staying asleep has gotten a lot worse now that I am pregnant but now I am so thankful I have found Get Sleepy. The stories are interesting but they still manage to put me to sleep and since I never get through one, I can use the same episode multiple nights, I just skip to the part before I fell asleep. I could go on but basically, this podcast has drastically improved my sleep and I am so, so grateful. Thank you!

2. Good for high stress and anxiety - I’ve been listening to get sleepy for a few years now.
I’ve always been plagued with sleep issues, anxiety and trauma. Get sleepy positively distracts my panicked thoughts and eases my frantic mind.
I work a strenuous and demanding job hours a week and live on raw adrenaline, I find it difficult to wind down for sleep. This program really centers that left over adrenaline and aids relaxation.
Thank you!

3. Why’d you lock old favorites?? - I’m so disappointed at the decision to retroactively make certain previously-free episodes Premium only. You’re entitled to monetize your work, but it feels mean to arbitrarily put a paywall on once-free episodes?? (Especially when this podcast is ad-sponsored as well) I USED to listen to the Nov , episode, “Baked Apples on a Blustery Day” anytime I was having a hard time getting to sleep: it was a real comfort when nothing else worked. It’s locked now; so thanks a lot

4. AMAZING - i love this podcast so much, i listen to it every night and got premium for my christmas gift! let me tell you, it is absolutely worth it! it’s so soothing, calming and you never run out of episodes to listen to! my favorites are the rainy day bakery episodes, i could listen to those even if i wasn’t going to sleep. i’m so impressed with this podcasts and i looks forward to listening to it for every day in the future

5. Oh my Lordy lord - I found this a few weeks ago when my mind was too busy to sleep so I turned it on and fell asleep in about minutes. It has helped me so much with my sleep that I use it every night because I like the soothing stories and the wonderful narrators. This show helped me calm down and finally focus my attention on stuff other than my worries and troubles. I love this show so much and I would definitely recommend.

6. Good podcast but - I Love this podcast, I have ADHD and it is hard for me to go to sleep, I have sleeping problems and whenever I found this podcast it really helped me fall asleep but there is just one problem I saw one of the reviews that someone wrote and it said if you listen to the Podcasts back to back it has a loud beginning. Also i love the shows with Elizabeth Grace’s Voice because it helps me relax and also I like Tom’s voice it is also very relaxing so, yeah thank you guys for helping me fall asleep.
2023-01-12
7. this is the best - okay sometimes when im away from home i have trouble sleeping and get some slight anxiety at night. get sleepy is the best for this if i need an extra push into dreamworld. thomas has such a nice voice and now all i listen to is him i definitely recommend and you don’t even have to like the stories, you’ll be out like a light from all the soothing voices. ./ cause ads are not even that much related to sleep products at all.
2022-12-25
8. Used to be good but - Used to be good but now they have loud advertising. So that’s a problem. Switched to a sleep podcast that has quiet advertising at the beginning so if you listen to them back to back it doesn’t wake you up. Now that they have loud Advertising you can’t listen to back to back podcasts without being woken up by allowed ad. Too bad it was quite good before that.

The practice of medicine–filled with moments of joy, suffering, grace, sorrow, and hope–offers a window into the human condition. Though serving as guides and companions to patients’ illness experiences is profoundly meaningful work, the busy nature of modern medicine can blind its own practitioners to the reasons they entered it in the first place. Join oncologist Tyler Johnson and medical trainee Henry Bair as they meet with doctors, patients, leaders, educators, and others in healthcare...

1. A Space for Mystery - The title is both of an episode and of a stance. This podcast series recognizes medicine as a moral art, intrinsically imbued with meaning that is beyond technological expertise. Wonder if Chatbots will replace doctors? Not doctors like those in the episodes! Grateful for wisdom in an age of burnout, economic efficiency and depersonalization in medicine. Keep going!
2023-03-14
2. NAM President - Listened to episode with the NAM president and was impressed how much the hosts got him to talk about his personal experiences. It's valuable to hear how much he struggled during his career despite now being literally one of the most important and notable physician leaders in America.
2023-03-07
3. Brutal honesty - Came across this recent episode with Arghavan Salles and it's amazing. She talks about the not-so-glamorous aspects of a medical career particularly through a DEI lens, and it's not until I heard this that I realized how uncommon these conversations happen. She's right, medical culture tends to shy away from talking about the negative parts of the job. I'm glad she's shining a light on it.
2023-02-22
4. Bold - Found this show because of the episode on physician assisted dying. And...just wow. So bold of the guest to talk openly about this difficult work, and wonderful for the hosts for having her on -- even though one of them is against physician assisted dying. This episode gave me many new perspectives about this kind of medicine. Will be listening to more episodes now.
2023-02-02
5. Stunning, poignant, thoughtful, insightful - What is most impressive about this show is that many episodes are not only for doctors, but for anyone who experiences/has experienced the pain of losing a loved one, the suffering that comes from a terrible diagnosis, the existential uncertainty of what living and dying all means, and the hope that comes from the compassion of friends during difficult times. Episode after episode, I keep finding stories that resonate with me deeply. Give it a try.
2022-12-20
6. Stories to cherish - I was blown away by the episode with Wes Ely. Over the course of an hour, he shares stories that brought me to tears several times. He talks about his approach to patient care as a "burnout solution" and as a resident, I couldn't agree more. I'm convinced that no doctor who sees patients the away Ely does can experience burnout for long.
2022-12-15
7. Incredible nurse episode - The Nov episode with the nurse is simply incredible. This nurse comforts patients in ways I have never seen from other healthcare providers. How I wish all nurses and doctors could learn from her, and how I wish all patients had the privilege of being cared for by someone like her. Please keep up this important work.
2022-12-02
8. Against Burnout - Recent studies have repeatedly found that at least half of all doctors in America experience burnout, finding their work meaningless. This is a shocking statistic. I, like the hosts of this show, believe that helping people find hope and solace in life's darkest moments can be profoundly purposeful work. The stories on this podcast reveal the diverse ways that helping patients can manifest, and guests often share strategies for how to stay focused on the most meaningful parts of a career in medicine. If more doctors heard these stories and adopted the mindset and practices discussed on this show, a large portion of them would discover a salve for burnout.

1. Incredible Episode - I just finished listening to the episode with Jonah Berger, and by far, it was one of my all-time favorite interviews. It was obvious that John had a genuine appreciation for Dr. Berger's work and was clear that he had done his research and read the book. They both took deep dives into discussing why we change and Dr. Berger gave some great examples. I love how John interviews his guests which makes it great to listen to and it has significantly inspired me to expand my understanding of behavior change. I can’t wait to listen to it again and to more and more of John's episodes. Thank you.

2. My favorite podcast Passion Struck with John R. Miles - I am a podcast junkie and this is my favorite podcast ever! John shares excellent insights into all characteristics of being human and how to better ourselves, our relationships, and our careers. 3. Life Altering - If you’re looking for a podcast that speaks directly to you, this is it. John Miles is one of the best interviewers in the business. I am shocked one of the major networks hasn't picked him up honestly. The way he deep dives with his guests and the flow of his interviews is second to none. It makes you feel like you’re there with them and also participating. Thank you, John, for all the time and effort you put into this podcast and the high quality of topics, guests, and your solo episodes.

4. I have been listening to Passion Struck for close to a year now. - I started listening around the time my career started to fall apart. This podcast has been instrumental in helping me get to where I am now, emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. It is one of the best podcasts out there for real advice on behavior change with experts in the field. The great insights from John and his guests have helped me grow and view my career and life differently. I find myself reading books from his guests, and he has a great book list on his website. Thank you for everything you do and for leading me to create an intentional life.

5. What An Interview - I love Rachel Hollis, but that interview that John did was one of the best interviews of Rachel I have ever seen her give. John was able to get Rachel to be very vulnerable and the exchanges the two had showed the chemistry and respect they have for each other. Love the guests and the variety of topics John has on this show. Highly recommend Passion Struck.

6. Wow - Must Listen - John Miles is one of the most insightful, vulnerable, and humble speakers in this day of age. Listening to his podcasts each week gives me the tools for creating behavior change and self-growth. He and his guests provide amazing TOOLS to make me better, as well as becoming a better partner and parent. He has the deepest and most empowering things to say- including the way he interviews and gets the best from all of his guests on the show!

7. Great podcast discovery - I discovered this podcast through John's guest appearance on Think Unbroken with Michael Unbroken, and I have been pleasantly surprised by the content here. Great insights from various guests who are experts in their areas and topics on a large variety of interests. Officially following, it’s a vital one to have in your mix!

1. Honestly the ONLY Podcast I routinely listen to! - I appreciate you all so much. And the approach the MindPump Dream Team have to health and wellness. THANK YOU ALL so much for providing practical advice that is easy to understand and apply…. One of the things I appreciate most about MindPump is their commitment to educating their listeners. I truly appreciate how the team stresses the importance of finding what works best for each individual, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach at the same time giving the simplest general no-nonsense advice that can be applied to all. I wish I found this podcast sooner! It truly is the only one I listen to routinely!!! I have so many episodes to go back and listen to!!! THANK YOU MINDPUMP DREAM TEAM!

2. Lady Listeners Please Read - This is NOT your typical bro gains “focus on toning” podcast. I PROMISE! As a girl who lifts weights, there’s hardly any male hosted podcasts out there that are relatable to, let alone decent. That is until I discovered Mind Pump. Sal, Adam, Justin (Doug too) have created an awesome, informative podcast that covers so much more than just fitness info. I recently bought MAPS anabolic and love it! Highly worth checking out!

3. Game Changer! - Sal, Adam, and Justin (and Doug) shed light on a one-time mysterious, untrustworthy, gimmick-filled industry with their honest approach to fitness. If you want real talk, comedic sensibility, and no-holds-barred discussions that land on resistance training, strength-building, full-body workout programs—customized with a pre and post workout focused on mobility—and a lifelong pursuit of mind and body health, this is the place for you. You will never need to look for another “influencer” for advice, there have advice and programs for everyone. If you are new to mind pump, I suggest you begin with MAPS Anabolic and MAPS Prime. They are programmed to work together and you will run them simultaneously. I am happy I found these guys and have been listening for many years. I own several of their programs, and thought I should take some time to show them some love.

4. The best podcast out there! - I started listening in May and I have been listening non stop since then. I recommend the podcast to everyone because it is the most informative podcast out there for health and fitness. I have so many of their programs (finished anabolic and I am now on performance) and I have so many of the products that they advertize because I really trust everything the say! Definitely a / star podcast!

5. This Show Has It All! - I found this show while adding some new podcasts from the fitness space to my library. I am pleasantly surprised by not only the fitness content, but the great intro conversation that covers all areas of life. This is a fantastically produced and well thought out podcast that not only meets my fitness interests, but also offers engaging and thought provoking off-topic discussion that allows me to make the absolute most of my podcasting time!

6. My Go-To Podcast - I love love love this podcast! I have been listening for about a year and I need to go back and listen from the beginning, but with thousands of episodes that will be a challenge! 7. My guys!!! - Was writing a review for a different pod that Adam turned me onto and felt guilty that I’ve never left for one my MindPump boys. I’ll just put it plain and simple: Sal, Justin, Doug and mostly Adam make me a better man. I love these guys. Not just lifting, but so much more. Patenting, spousing, working, investing, reading, watching, listening, and all the other -ing’s…. These men have influenced my life for the better in so many aspects, and I am grateful. Oh yeah, and I’m snatched now because of them, so there is that!!

1. Struggling with the absolutes - not accurate - I appreciate the information coming out of this podcast. But it's hard to take everything you're saying as fact when you're speaking in absolutes. I listened to the first two podcasts and Dr Charlie has said "ALL egg, chicken and peanut butter allergies come from vaccines" - so not one unvaccinated person in the world has an allergy to these? Also "EVERY patient I've had with the shingles vaccine has gotten shingles within months" - really? Every single one? It's hard to not take everything you say with a grain of salt when you're speaking in absolutes like this which simply aren't true (I can say I know my father who has had the shingles vaccine has not gotten shingle for example) I'm very open to these different POVs (which is why I'm listening) but, it's coming off more opinion than educational when you use absolutes such as these.

2. Helpful but hard to follow - I’ve just discovered the natural side of healthcare I’m loving all the things I’m learning from this podcast! Because I’m new to this, there’s a lot I can’t quite follow along with, the terms and acronyms get confusing and even though I started at the beginning it feels like I missed something in a previous episode. Would love slower summaries of how the natural properties of the herbs/etc help the body.
2023-02-10
3. The proof is in the podcast - I really want to thank you for your knowledge and podcast. My daughter suffered from a severe reaction to the MMR vaccine last week (some may even label it an injury). However, we are grateful for her progress thanks to you, our local health food store, and our chiropractor. A supplement specialist at the store suggested Newtons Post Vaccine drops and your podcast and page. We also had our chiropractor perform an Asyra on our daughter and he has her on another homeopathic. I’ve always believed in the power of nature’s medicine cabinet, as my aunt calls it. I just wasn’t aware that our state allows personal exemption for vaccines. We are getting her exempt after seeing the severity of the negative side of vaccines. She had a full body rash, fever, inconsolable, crying/whining, not sleeping well, no appetite, etc. She is almost % again, minus sleep. I can deal with that knowing how much worse things could’ve been. We do not plan on reporting this, we are just looking at it as a lesson. We have found a new pediatrician that does not push vaccines and will be using our chiropractor and health food store as our first resource when we are ill (as we usually do anyways). Thank you for your work and keep doing what you’re doing. Peace and keep spreading your positivity

4. Chemtrails episode - Very silly and all over the place. Oregano is going to save us from chemtrails? Really? Lol. I couldn’t even finish the episode. But my purpose of the review is two things: you guys really didn’t give very much actual information that was factual/ helpful. It was mostly rambling opinions ( seeing chemtrails and then “noticing people coughing” is an anecdotal opinion, or this area has a lot of old people and Alzheimer’s…. Well yea…. That would be expected, wouldn’t it, I would’ve loved to hear actual science around the damage this is doing). And then…..Lauren. If you truly feel passionate about podcasting, you should seriously consider getting someone to help you hone this skill. Your public speaking skills are really, really distracting. You are incredibly hard to follow and give the impression you did a google search minutes before taping. I Will probably never listen to another episode, but wanted to give feedback as to why you might not be reaching a broader audience.

5. Excellent - Love this show, super good information and very Informative. Dives way deeper than their Instagram profiles and if you want even more sign up for the membership! My only complaint is the sound quality sometimes isn’t great but it’s not as horrible as some other podcasts I listen too. The content is worth the struggle with the sound issues.

6. Great Info, but ear piercing voice - I really really love what the two of you are doing. I love all the info. Dr. Charlie, you are so calm, and communicate information clearly. Your dialog is focused easy to understand. I hate what I’m about to write next, but it’s just my opinion, and hopefully this serves to help improve the show. Lauren, your dialog is extremely unpolished. You speak incredibly fast, and with a lot of “uuuummmms”. Your train of thought is mostly scattered. Every once in awhile you a have good point, but I find myself wanting to hear Dr. Charlie’s perspective instead of yours. Lauren, it’s clear you have a lot of great and relevant experience, but I find you increasingly hard to listen to. Again, just my opinion, and I plan on tuning in for a long time.

7. Informative Truth - It is so hard nowadays to know what is fact or fluff/fiction/exaggeration. Dr. Charlie and Lauren give you facts, not fiction. They do all of the hard work for you by researching facts and they back all of their research with results. They are truly concerned about your health and how to correct it. Not put a band-aid on it. Not make a profit. I absolutely love this podcast and appreciate all of their hard work. If you are looking to broaden your knowledge or a way to fix your health concerns this is the podcast for you.

3. Life changing - Honestly life changing. I stumbled upon this podcast at a very dark time in my life. I was searching for something to help me keep my head above water. This podcast did that and more. I’m more motivated to heal my inner self than ever before. And it’s never felt doable until now. This is a daily listen for me and I share it with everyone I know.

4. Great tip: I love that, I have a funny story for you - Rob, so our family friend, Eric, was having a hard time about something. I said,” this too shall pass”, only I had recently been in a car accident and he turns to me and says “so what does your friend Jen have?
He couldn’t understand me:so I repeated it and it was all fine. Still we got a good laugh. Alison Schuback

5. Life changing! - I had never listened to a podcast before this. I honestly felt so comfortable in my daily regular life. Honestly, what I did in my down time was watch a show I had seen a thousand times because I felt comfort in seeing something that was repetitive because it was comfortable. I knew what was going to happen. I felt I could do chores and have this show in the background that made me not to have to watch every second, it was just soothing to listen to. Then there was a sudden eruption in my life. I won’t get too specific but it had to do with a relationship that meant the world to me and part of it was me but the other part was my child in the way she was treating others that got so bad. I felt hopeless. Here was the partner I loved most in the world. Here was me, who has been going through constant stress and insecure complexes, and my daughter who has been raised with extreme anger problems learned from her father and confusion from a divorce, even though it was years and years old. I felt like my world was on fire and I couldn’t win. I had been given advice that podcasts, instead of those shows I had watched a million times could help. I don’t remember exactly how but somehow, the first time I started looking into a podcast to watch (likely self-help), Rob Dial came up. I started listening and I was hooked. I have only been listening for two weeks. I listen to them - times a day and not only do I feel a mental shift but the people around me have noticed it. I spread the messages and have shared the podcasts to people in my life that are experiencing the same things. This is the first time I have ever posted a review for something. It just means so much to me and only after two weeks I feel it has changed my life. That being said, life will always be hard. Mindset is a practice, not a light switch. Rob, not sure if you read these but thank you for changing my life in the way I view myself, my thoughts, situations, and the way I view others and the world around me. I had never been in such a dark place and to feel the progress I feel now is indescribable. From what I have experienced, I am not over exaggerating. Everyone is different but for me, this has changed my mindset everyday and my life.

6. Motivational and Inspirational! - I have two millennial sons who have been going through so much the last three years. With everything that's going on in the world right now your podcast is such a great help and Godsend. I share your podcast with them almost every day. It is making a difference not only for my sons but for myself. Straight forward, simple but life changing advice that the world needs more of. Bless you Rob!

7. Take your life, business and relationships to the next LEVEL - I just wanted to say I’ve been listening to you for over two years and wow you are instrumental to my past, current and future successes. Proximity is power. Even though I’ve never met you and your team, your podcast is EVERYTHING It took over two years to finally review your podcast. I’ve always wanted to do it but I’ve been busy building a business, everyday life and kept saying “when I get to it”. My nickname is G-Wisz and I started an accounting firm, G-Wisz It’s Tax Time.
It’s not a plug for the business but in January for the new year, I removed your podcast( a few others) and listened to accounting firm owners podcast ONLY Figured I’d focus on what I thought was most important. Accounting firm podcasts focused on advisory services You’ve become a part of my life and I felt something was missing. I searched for whatever I felt was missing. In February I redownloaded you for my mindset, motivation and personal development growth!!!! My oh my how I missed you and I NEEDED you in my life I respect, honor and am so thankful for what you do!!!!! You are the fin man!!!!!

8. Life changing! - I love this podcast, it has been sitting in my library for a long time and I finally decided to start listening to it. Some of these topics are things that have been on my mind, things have been put into perspective and have affirmed the thoughts that have been running my head for months now. I am so glad I found it and have been listening nonstop!

1. Love it - I have been listening to this podcast on and off for years to help me sleep, especially when I was working midnights and had to sleep during the day. I’m unsure how I even found it but I’m so glad I did. I think I found it when I worked a job I had to be there at am and it helped me so much. Just the little twinkle introduction is soothing to me at this point

2. I love this podcast! - It works only little complaint I really have is just there is tab bit too much of ads I understand you need money but it’s way to much and also when you’re doing the ads you amplify your voice way too loudly like come on it’s a sleep podcast calm down and it causes me to be awake but all that aside it’s good podcast and it puts me to sleep every time also helps me calm down my anxiety I love this podcast

3. Excuse me, what? XD - Just read a review from a listener who doesn’t seem the brightest in the world. “I dont support a podcast that pushes left wing beliefs” like what are you talking about? The host literally only talks about shows and movies they like, what about that is political??? But anyway, my insomnia has been pushing past my meds lately and this podcast really helps me go to sleep. It also keeps me from having mental breakdowns in the middle of the night. They’re voice is so calm and comforting- unlike any podcast I’ve ever heard. I relate to how their mind works and how they explain plots in such a silly way. This is the podcast i needed all my life while dealing with insomnia

4. Riddled with ads constantly making desperate pleas - This is an ok sleeping podcast. But the insufferable desperation for “support” seriously ruins the show. The most annoying part is that he makes it sound like he’s desperate for funding to feed himself when really the “support” is just adding more about adding more “cream” or profit to line his pockets. Check out another sleeping podcast. There’s tons of them and they don’t hound you ad nauseam for “support”.

5. Thank you - Thank you for your safe place. So very appreciative. You’ve helped so many wound-up days and nights. Hope you know or can at least imagine how valuable this is. Weird how a stranger can make you feel comforted by saying “I’m just here to be with you through the deep, dark night.” It’s something I never thought I needed.

6. This is a strange trip - It works in a most annoying way. Not sure how Scooter does it, rambling so inanely that one can’t help but fall back to sleep. Just as I realized I was clenching my jaw in annoyance and was about to give in to the urge to switch to another podcast, I heard him mumbling something about making sure my vacant stare was “slack in the jaw” and I stayed the course with this warlock reader of insomniac minds. I didn’t even make it through the intro, so next time I need it I’ll adjust settings to turn it off after just one episode. But I’m not exactly looking forward to it.

7. get in bed turn off the lights aaaand - aaand listen to min of ads a plugs. Finally you played this uncomfortable jingle about ur patrons . But wait there’s a min ramble about how infuriating it is to have insomnia and overthinking. I’m not positive this show isn’t completely trolling. Maybe I’m missing something. First time listening btw. I can’t guarantee it’s not the last but I’ll give it a try. So far I hate it

8. Essential - I found the podcast during college in when my roommate/best friend went abroad and I had to live with a stranger who snored very loudly. My friend and I would always talk before falling asleep, so not having her company left me staying awake all night and feeling incredibly lonely. Sleep with me was the friend in the deep dark night I’ve needed, and Scoots has kept me company on three continents across many countries and time zones since. Now as adults, I always put Sleep With Me on as my best friend and I drift to snooze when we have the rare sleepover.

1. The awareness window - Thank you for this podcast! I heard you speak at Elevation Church and had to look you up. I’m listening to S E, I keep rewinding the episode to hear it over and over. It’s all making so much sense, the being stuck developmentally and how much emotional immaturity I see in myself, and the dysfunction that runs in my family. How do we get “unstuck” and mature? How do we heal? I need articulate, tangible practices to incorporate into my everyday life. God is answering my prayers though you work. Thank you for doing what you’re doing and sharing your journey with us Adriana

2. Thank You - I stumbled upon this podcast as I was so desperately trying to find something to bring a little hope back into my life. I am just coming back to God after many years of just knowing I could never be forgiven for all of the terrible things I have done in my life and that I absolutely am not worthy of his love. Turns out that gets tackled in the first episode. Lisa sharing her stories made me realize I am not alone. I feel for once in a few years, hopeful. Thank you.

3. Just started listening - I just started listening to this podcast. I like it so far because I enjoy learning about psychology and how we can heal if we work on it.
Season episode was a little bit confusing because they state the following: “So we already had a session on that. If you missed that, we'll put a link so you can go back and listen to that one.” There was not a link to this “previous session” and because this was episode of season it was very confusing because there is not an episode before this.

4. This is a great starting point, and little support moving forward - I have really appreciated the insights discovered in these podcasts & am so thankful for the efforts…. that said, I have had a very challenging time finding this place to leave a message & further, have reached out to Aacc.net to no avail locally, & have found that Jim Cress has a waitlist beyond that. I know that u intended this to a b temporary “pause” while ppl await help; rather, that is not the case.

5. Usually A Fan…. - I’m usually a fan of Lysa, which is why I started listening to this podcast. My first episode was about porn-demic, however, and I stopped listening after the third time Lysa said “I just don’t get it.” I feel like that’s the attitude and language surrounding porn that keeps married men silent about their issues…

6. Helpful - Hi Lisa, Thanks so much for this! I am a new fan. The - podcasts have been helpful & informative. I really appreciate the careful, professional insight from Jim & Joel. It matters to me very much to think biblically about these issues while not glossing over what has really happened. Thank you for using your story & wisdoms to help others. It truly does.

7. So good and so needed! - I’m so glad you guys are doing this podcast! It makes all the difference to be educated and equipped to deal with your own issues and stop unhealthy cycles, that have been happening in your own family history for ages, and have them end with you. I’m thankful for grace filled, intentionality here too, and understanding that we’re all on our journeys. My thanks to all three of you. I have one observation on the episode with pornography and addictions (I think), and that is: it might have been helpful to have another female guest who “gets it”. It’s definitely a subject that is heavily discussed on the male side but not the female side when it comes to addiction, and if female viewed pornography has jumped % since , than it can only help to bring in more insight there. Thanks for letting me express that! God bless and continue your good work!

8. So Helpful - This is by far my favorite podcast I’ve listened to, regardless of genre. It’s so helpful as it makes you realize the feelings you have are likely similar to so many other people. It gives your practical techniques and knowledge as to why you may be feeling a certain way and how to handle/cope with it. Highly recommend!!

1. Going downhill fast - While I enjoyed earlier episodes of Life Kit, it seems that they’ve recently been scraping the bottom of the barrel to find meaningful topics to discuss. Personal style? Seriously??? Many of the more recent topics are so completely trivial and irrelevant, and yet are presented with the same gravitas as topics like financial health. Many of the “experts” are just random people with a side hustle and no real deep knowledge of the topic. It’s an annoying show now, but the back catalog is pretty good.
2023-03-11
2. No longer one of my favorite shows - Life Kit used to be great and I still recommend the earlier episodes, especially on money. It's become mainly just a place for businesses to promote their products (pretty blatantly at that). I finally unsubscribed today (Feb th) when I saw Episode where they had a behavioral psychologist from the dating app Hinge come on as an "expert" on finding love and connection. I don't doubt this person's credentials, but they are just there to encourage people to use Hinge and I expect more from NPR (perhaps some real journalism?) than that.

3. science for children - the host is constantly mispronouncing words and being surprised by very basic science that has been common knowledge for decades or common sense forever. the show sounds so smart at first but eventually it proves to be just dumb. the final straw for me was hearing her butcher the pronunciation of guillotine.
2023-01-12
4. My kind of episode - Episodes are a hit or miss: The regret episode is my favorite one that you have ever put out. It’s so universal but most people don’t know how to tackle it, the advice and tips are practical and felt relatable. But the boundaries one and several others I have heard can have no logical sense and the advice seems to be very self serving and self important in an self inflated way.
2022-11-25
5. Thank You - This is a podcast intended to help people with everyday challenges. Situations that apply to us all in this mystery called life. Thanks for inching me closer to knowing who I am. And done with such kind, empathetic, and caring voices. Thank you for what you do. If I can give back please let me know how.

6. I like the show but….. - I can’t agree with the advice on reading the chapter book that your partner wrote. Here is my better advice. Tell your partner, I am so excited about your accomplishment. and even though your book is not the genre I typically read I look forward to knowing a different side of you through reading your book. Put the book in your car / purse and read it when you are in a waiting room or stuck in traffic. This is not a race. But it is a really big deal that you read the book or at least give it a solid effort. Imagine that your partner baked a meal and wanted to share it with you- would you completely dismiss it and say, sorry I don’t eat anything with carrots? No; you would at least take a bite. Now imagine that this meal took many years to make. Why wouldn’t you give the book a chance as a way of showing love and interest in your partner!

7. Love it, but disappointed in one episode - I’ve been binge listening to these, and I overall really enjoyed the episode on living freely with Autism, but it did have a negative comment about ABA. I have a lot of empathy/compassion for people who have had bad experiences, i know there are plenty of companies out there that haven’t been great. As a BCBA, I’ve also seen the amazing things ABA can do. So I’m bummed that it was just lumped into something negative.

8. How to talk to Customer Service - How silly. Customer service calls and caller are not friends and don’t “like or care for each other. Really disappointing. Dr. GC Bike safety.
As a ER Doctor I did not hear enough about most important safety equipment Good quality helmet. Have treated enough concussions, broken jaws, assorted body parts to know good helmets save lives, pain and suffering.

8. Love - I honestly have a hard time with listening comprehension as a visual learner, so podcasts have been hard for me to get into in the past. However, as a follower of Mari since her dad’s basement days, I knew that I had to give this a try. I am so happy I did. I am the heaviest I have ever been, have been on a mental health journey, and have struggled with my wellness my whole adult life. I get overwhelmed knowing where to start and have started and quit so many times on my own journey to lose weight and most importantly, become the best version of myself. This podcast inspires me to keep trying, to find my own version of wellness and to not try to fit into a one size fits all mold. Mari is an excellent speaker and interviewer which makes this so easy to listen to. I love the variety of guests, perspectives and stories shared. Can’t wait for more!
