1. Your podcast titles are a misnomer - It takes you - minutes to get to the topic as advertised and then you don’t always do it. Stop taking so much time to interview folks about their personal life (it gets boring) and cut to the chase. It’s almost like a “bait and switch” with your podcast titles. Disappointing.

2. Thank you, this about meditation session on Calm! - I have been a long time listener and also meditate with Jay via the calm app, and it was there that I heard the say it: “to be sure to shine the light light in their faces, not IN theirs eyes. It’s very cute; that’s why I sent it to me!

3. Keep Going - I'm a happier and more purposeful person because of all that you and Ravi have created Jay. For the brilliance you share, I've been sharing your book, Daily Jay, and OnPurpose podcasts with more people than I can count in my own life. 4. My favorite podcast - I have been listening to Jay’s podcast for years, and listen to Daily Jay every morning too. It has been so good for my mental health and I just feel like a better, more loving, confident and capable person because of what I have learned from him! And his wife! I love following both of them on Instagram too!

5. Life change content - I have always seen the name but never felt the need to dive in to Jay’s context. One day my Reiki master suggested “Think like a monk”. I was hesitant and I thought to myself let me commit to listen to a few episodes before I invest in his book…. I can honestly say I’m an truly grateful for all of the information Jay shares with the world.

I love their work and their love towards sharing their knowledge for each of us! I came across Jay’s podcast as a resource to improve my mental health, and I am a lot grateful that I did! Thank you so much Jay from the bottom of my heart for sharing such useful knowledge and bringing such knowledgeable discussions to improve each of our mental health!

7. My morning cup of mindfulness - I was actually born in India. In a crazy hippie cult. Then raised in countries. I was a little white haired year old when my parents signed over my custody to another family in an Indian law office. I never went to school and had a baby at in Italy. Short of the long is that. I’m a survivor. I’m so grateful I ran across your podcast about a year ago.
When my world is chaotic and I feel trigured and exhausted by everything on my plate. I put my earbuds in and listen to your podcast. It helps me feel grounded and have clarity. I also listen to the Daily Jay on Calm while sitting in the sauna at the gym. When I can. Thanks for all that you do. The wisdom that you curate is healing and so needed. Have a lovely day! Jay

8. I love your podcast - Hi! Jay Shetty! I just wanted to say that I started listening to you a few months ago and I’m so amazed on what you’ve been speaking about. I recently bought “ Rules Of Love” by you and I’m only on the first chapter but still you have taught me so much already. I’m only and never had a boyfriend before, but I’m still reading it so I can understand and love myself better. Thank you Jay Shetty.
You’re an inspiration to us all.

Dan Harris is a fidgety, skeptical journalist who had a panic attack on live national television, which led him to try something he otherwise never would have considered: meditation. He went on to write the bestselling book, 10% Happier. On this show, Dan talks with eminent meditation teachers, top scientists, and even the odd celebrity. Guests include everyone from His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Brené Brown to Karamo from Queer Eye. On some episodes, Dan ventures into the deep end of the po...

1. Great variety of topics - Although Ten Percent focuses quite a bit on mindfulness as a route to happiness (which works btw!) Dan Harris often ranges more widely in these discussions and takes on topics of great interest if you are, as he says, trying to “do life better”. Dan is a skilled interviewer which makes this podcast very informative and enjoyable to listen to.

2. sujatha baliga-with gratitude - I have listened to TPH for years or so, and every now and then, an interview stands out and grabs my attention. The episode with sujatha baliga and restorative justice/forgiveness filled me with awe (Dacher Keltner) with her story and of what could be. So grateful for the podcast and the amazing people this self-deprecating skeptic-seeker called Dan Harris brings to our hearts.
2023-03-02
3. Love this show - I’ve been listening to it for several years and it’s become my morning, get-my-head-straight ritual. It goes great with coffee! I’ve been introduced to healthier ways of thinking and operating in the world. My meditation practice has definitely improved. I appreciate the balance of mind/body/spirit teaching with scientific data to back it up. And Dan Harris’s journalistic approach, vulnerability, and humor are the magic sauce that make the perfect morning dish!

4. Amazing content - I’m have struggled with a meth addiction since . Since starting to listen in , this podcast is a centerpiece of my recovery. It’s helped me build a sense of spirituality through meditation while also giving me helpful tools for when my addict brain raises its voice to remind me it’s there. I’m currently months clean. The content on this podcast regularly helps me with introspection and self-love among many other qualities I am working on cultivating. Amazing work Dan and the team.

5. Great podcast! - Like the title implies, this podcast is full of advice and perspective that will make you a little happier! I think the host Dan is a good stand in for the average listener, he offers just the right amount of his own opinions and asks great questions. Overall, excellent podcast! I recommend to anyone who loves crime podcasts but is feeling a little depressed on them, give this a try!

6. They Listen to feedback from listeners!! - First of all, this show is fantastic! I wrote a review a few years ago outlining why I love this show. It has made a huge impact on me, and over the years an impact on my community as I am a program director of a residential drug and alcohol treatment facility, and I share these concepts and practices with clients as a certified mindfulness teacher. (Not trying to sound conceited, I plant seeds and invest in the process, not the outcome). The book and podcast absolutely sparked my journey to health and a bit more happiness. The reason I decided to write another review was because they changed the intro music!!! Which I have asked in the past during their surveying, among other suggestions and feedback that they absolutely followed through with. Love that Dan does most of the ads, as the ads in the past were incredibly jarring and loud, which took away from the vibe of the podcast lol. So I just immensely appreciate the fact that the team at TPH listens for feedback and makes changes accordingly for their audience. Thanks again Dan and everyone!!! You guys rock!

7. Major Acclaim for Dan Harris & % Happier Pod - I stumbled upon this podcast through a recommendation when going through a tough time in my life a little over years ago, leaving college to be exact and feelings like I lacked direction and understanding of myself and the world. I’m not going to say this podcast turned that whole perspective on its head, but I will say that Dan’s story himself, the guests he’s had on the show, and the intentional strategies shared made managing the experience a whole lot easier. To this day, I still listen to the pod and what I love most about it on a macro level is that Dan hasn’t taken his foot off the pedal an inch. You can tell the subject matter of meditation and his curiosity in interacting with a whole host of different guests is genuine. When I first started listening, I was unsure of the legitimacy of meditation as a means to improve not only mood and lower anxiety, but my overall worldview and ability to manage change and challenges that life inevitably presents us with. Thank you Dan and production team for having such a terrific, insightful, and engaging podcast that has truly helped encourage me to change my life for the better.

8. This has become my favorite podcast - I started out finding the host a bit annoying, and thought he might be too skeptical or cynical for what I was looking for. But over several years, either he’s calmed down or I’ve gotten used to his style and have grown to really respect the caliber of guests he invites, his topics and how they often feel so relevant to me, and the intelligence and grace behind his interviews. You’re doing a great job, Dan! Thanks for teaching me so much.

1. I love this podcast! - It works only little complaint I really have is just there is tab bit too much of ads I understand you need money but it’s way to much and also when you’re doing the ads you amplify your voice way too loudly like come on it’s a sleep podcast calm down and it causes me to be awake but all that aside it’s good podcast and it puts me to sleep every time also helps me calm down my anxiety I love this podcast
2023-02-24
2. Excuse me, what? XD - Just read a review from a listener who doesn’t seem the brightest in the world. “I dont support a podcast that pushes left wing beliefs” like what are you talking about? The host literally only talks about shows and movies they like, what about that is political??? But anyway, my insomnia has been pushing past my meds lately and this podcast really helps me go to sleep. It also keeps me from having mental breakdowns in the middle of the night. They’re voice is so calm and comforting- unlike any podcast I’ve ever heard. I relate to how their mind works and how they explain plots in such a silly way. This is the podcast i needed all my life while dealing with insomnia
2023-02-06
3. Riddled with ads constantly making desperate pleas - This is an ok sleeping podcast. But the insufferable desperation for “support” seriously ruins the show. The most annoying part is that he makes it sound like he’s desperate for funding to feed himself when really the “support” is just adding more about adding more “cream” or profit to line his pockets. Check out another sleeping podcast. There’s tons of them and they don’t hound you ad nauseam for “support”.

4. Thank you - Thank you for your safe place. So very appreciative. You’ve helped so many wound-up days and nights. Hope you know or can at least imagine how valuable this is. Weird how a stranger can make you feel comforted by saying “I’m just here to be with you through the deep, dark night.” It’s something I never thought I needed.
2023-01-20
5. This is a strange trip - It works in a most annoying way. Not sure how Scooter does it, rambling so inanely that one can’t help but fall back to sleep. Just as I realized I was clenching my jaw in annoyance and was about to give in to the urge to switch to another podcast, I heard him mumbling something about making sure my vacant stare was “slack in the jaw” and I stayed the course with this warlock reader of insomniac minds. I didn’t even make it through the intro, so next time I need it I’ll adjust settings to turn it off after just one episode. But I’m not exactly looking forward to it.
2022-12-31
6. get in bed turn off the lights aaaand - aaand listen to min of ads a plugs. Finally you played this uncomfortable jingle about ur patrons . But wait there’s a min ramble about how infuriating it is to have insomnia and overthinking. I’m not positive this show isn’t completely trolling. Maybe I’m missing something. First time listening btw. I can’t guarantee it’s not the last but I’ll give it a try. So far I hate it
2022-12-27
7. Essential - I found the podcast during college in when my roommate/best friend went abroad and I had to live with a stranger who snored very loudly. My friend and I would always talk before falling asleep, so not having her company left me staying awake all night and feeling incredibly lonely. Sleep with me was the friend in the deep dark night I’ve needed, and Scoots has kept me company on three continents across many countries and time zones since. Now as adults, I always put Sleep With Me on as my best friend and I drift to snooze when we have the rare sleepover.
2022-12-26
8. Bring on the zzzzz - I’m a pilot that travels through a lot of different time zones. We’re not allowed to take anything to help us sleep lest it affect the safety of flight. I’ve been listening to Scooter since after a few hours of tossing and turning and getting that horrible sinking feeling that I was not going to get good sleep that night and would have to call out sick for my flight the next day. I searched for sleep meditation and the sleep with me podcast popped up. Right from the start I found his voice extremely boring and I could not follow the thread of his ramblings. The next thing I became aware of was the alarm going off and realizing I had gotten solid hours of deep quality sleep. Now I listen to Scooter every night and get a minimum of hours of sleep. I never had that break in period other people mention but do give the podcast a try a few times before giving up.

Comments
1. Good ideas but has some drawbacks. - John offers fine advise, but then dismisses his own opinion because of his gender and ethnicity. He also makes a lot of disparaging comments about men and boys being obnoxious, knuckleheads, etc. It’s hard to wade through the negatives to get to the insightful bits.
2023-03-03
2. This podcast has made me a better friend - Dr. John does such a great job of helping callers in a way that teaches all of us how to better understand ourselves, how we can heal and grow, and how to be there for others. I’ve learned how to be a better listener, how to grieve with people, how to support them through difficult times. This podcast has made me a better person and friend and I always look forward to hearing and learning from John’s compassionate advice.

3. My entire mind has changed - My sister recommended me this podcast along with buying me “Redefining Anxiety” and lending me her signed copy of “Own Your Past Change Your Future”. Both are amazing reads. This podcast has naturally turned my mind into a more positive, self loving, mindful and intentional place. I notice that as Dr. John speaks with the callers he is very intentional and genuine about what he says. I will never stop listening!

4. LOVE LOVE LOVE this podcast - I can’t say enough how much I love love love this podcast. dr. John is so funny and yet so insightful. so many times I’ve thought that he’s talking right to me or other times I thought I need to share this with one of my dear friends. 6. Thanks! - So I work in the medical field and two years ago I was in a severe depression with high anxiety. My Dr, told me I should check your pod cast out so I did. I could relate right away! I get something from every episode. You have been helping me now for about months. And I have recommended your pod cast to several friends family and patients that I feel would take the time. I continue to work toward a better me. And you are helping with that! Thank you!!

7. New book - This book was the most life changing book I have ever read. I have fought with guilt for a horrible mistake I made years ago. years of praying for forgiveness, grieving, and reliving my personal nightmare. After decades of prayer, I finally know that I am forgiven by God. I am learning to have thoughts ready when the guilt and shame shows up to haunt me. After I read this book, I am finally taking bricks out of my backpack. I have enrolled in a Celebrate Recovery class at my church. Years of counseling and I have never had been able to voice my shame and regret. Now I am trying to look to my future and voice this shame aloud. Thank you Dr Delony. I look forward to your next book. stars more. A must read for everyone, all ages, all stages of life.

8. Disparaging sarcasm vs professionalism - I very much enjoy the show and I appreciate Dr John’s advise, wisdom, empathy and expertise. I know conversations get heavy and the air needs to be lightened, however I don’t appreciate the disparaging sarcasm about drugs, tattoos, and cutting co workers to the quick.

1. changes lives - This podcast changed my life because it changed the way I think. Kara is so smart and clear in her approach. She is the only person I’ve ever heard in this space who offers actionable advice about relatable problems. When work issues rise up, I no longer feel fear because I know I can manage my mind around whatever happens. I no longer feel so vulnerable because Kara has taught me how to manage my mind, and when you can do that, you can handle and do anything.
2023-03-01
2. Multiplicity of ways to manage your mind - I’ve been I’ve been listening to this podcast for several years. I decided it was time to leave a review because of the helpful approaches to evolve my own thoughts and interactions to make them more helpful and reciprocal. Sure, perhaps % isn’t necessarily for me, but % of Kara’s content helps keep me in a practice of interrogating my own thought patterns and perceptions. That alone is of value enough for content that is thoughtful and free! I find it amusing that some folks can’t get past certain speaking conventions in the podcast or her promotion of ways to engage with her work more deeply for a fee. It takes for more than minutes to produce content, let alone produce and record a (weekly!) podcast… How else does somebody receive compensation for the energy they invest and offer? And normalize women obtaining value for their (otherwise) free labor? At the core of Kara’s work is learning to reflect on your own patterns, and perceptions of what limitations we place on ourselves when we think in absolutes if we’re seeking different outcomes: if it resonates, dig in. If it doesn’t, ask yourself why. If you’re satisfied and don’t need it, let that go. Not everything is made for everyone, and I appreciate the opportunity to coach myself for free and prompts to break out of limiting thought patterns. I also love the inclusion of others coaches’ voices who help people in different areas so I can be more informed about the thought and self-belief challenges they help other women overcome so I can be more aware outside my own cultural and professional bubbles.

3. This podcast changed my life - I have been an avid listener for years now and can truly say this podcast has been a driving factor in changing my mindset and negative thoughts. I have been in therapy since I was a child and had always suffered from depression. Once I started listening, I realized I could change the way I feel regarding my negative thoughts about myself. I rarely even have them anymore! This has been a great supplement to therapy and medication and has helped me get off some antidepressants and lengthen the time between therapist appointments. I’m so grateful for Kara and the information she shares. She has truly changed my life!
2023-02-17
4. A tonic for clearer thinking - I love this show and never miss an episode. It’s a tonic for clearer thinking and often helps me see well-worn issues in brand new ways. I also feel like I’ve learned a lot about how our brains work, but in an actionable, rather than acrdemic, way. I send many episodes to friends, and give it my highest recommendation!
2023-02-17
5. Life-changing if you do the work - This podcast and coaching resource (The Clutch) is one of the very few things I would say has “changed my life.” I cannot recommend it highly enough. I was working a - job, full of impostor syndrome and tons of insecurity, and now I own my own business, working / as much as I used to and making more than I used to (If the first thing you thought after reading that was, “I could never do that” - then you need this type of coaching, because that’s how I used to think too). I have better relationships with family and friends, and way less stress. Using Kara’s feminist mindset principles will change how you approach everything.
2023-02-16
6. Great ideas but listen critically - I used to really like this podcast. Some of the older episodes are really good and helpful. The episode about anxious attachment and perfectionist thinking really resonated with me. That being said, I’m pretty sure listening to the advice on this podcast played a role in me staying in a relationship way longer than I should have. I kept thinking I needed to “change my thoughts” and that it was me and my mindset for why I was so unhappy in that relationship, when in reality, he wasn’t right for me. I also think some of her ideas around diet and exercise are not the most helpful… like the most recent episode about why exercise isn’t always good… I did really love her for a while but lately I’m finding her kind of arrogant and annoying. But there are a few episodes that are worth listening to and saving for helpful advice. Just be critical of what you’re hearing and use your own judgement!
2023-01-13
7. Must she say the word “right” after every sentence? - This is nothing more than an obnoxious ad for other content she wants to sell. This woman says “right?” so much that it drives me up a wall. No idea how someone is a professional and speaks like that. Also the whole chicken thing is embarrassing and stupid. Not sure how anyone is fooled into thinking there is any substance here.
2023-01-06
8. Brilliant - I was considering therapy as a next step in my life. Recently I searched self help podcasts just to see what would pop up, and UYB was the first thing to catch my eye. I promised myself I’d try three episodes minimum, and move on if I didn’t like it. Honestly, best choice I ever made. I have never felt more normal and uncrazy. Kara, this is life changing, I feel it already. Thank you for sharing your brilliant perspective. I don’t need therapy, I need coaching! :) and your podcasts on repeat.

1. Silence is golden - Thank you, Dr. Gupta, for having one of our Olympic Peninsula’s heroes on your show. Gordon Brown has not only opened our world to the true sounds of silence, but he has also made us aware of the importance of centering ourselves with what Mother Earth gives us… for free. It is truly amazing to visit the Hoh River area he first introduced us to, sit on a log or rock and just listen. I hope you visit our stunningly beautiful area and sit with Gordon in silence.

2. Excellent podcast! - I loved the interview with Ed Wong on senses - what a marvelous way to open up a fuller appreciation of our world and all the creatures in it. I will walk my dog differently now! I’m appreciative of how Dr. Gupta let’s the guests talk about their area of expertise without interrupting.

3. “Dr Gupta” - Dr Sanjay Gupta is such a tool and a complete embarrassment to the medical community. Typical MSM “reporter” spreading false information and making a ton of money from it. Seriously, only brain washed idiots listen to CNN and this clown. He’s a joke within the medical community.

4. Learning to live after loss - I needed to hear this. I have yet to express the loss of my father because I don’t know how and when I do, some can’t relate. I lost my father to Covid last year after the holiday surge and moving forward has been a complete struggle. He loved life to fullest and fought a tough battle to remain with us. Losing him left me filled with sadness and angry because a lot of people don’t care about the pandemic or who it impacts. I have uninvited tears that come whenever they feel like it. I don’t have the same appetite I once had for life anymore and struggling to find my purpose because he had always been there. However, I get up every day and move forward because that’s what I’m suppose to do. Some days are good, some days are okay. I guess you can say I’m learning to embrace loss. But there are also days where I feel like what’s the point. I know what I’m battling with but I also know I’ll rise above it at some point. Your podcast has helped me understand what I’m experiencing and perhaps, pointed me in the direction to seek a grief doula. Didn’t know they existed nor did I know I needed one until now. Thank you for sharing others experiences and creating a space for grief. Mental health truly matters.

5. SA - Thank you for talking about Social Anxiety. When I was first diagnosed I was and it was called Social Phobia. I’m now and still struggle with the symptoms. My sons have it to some extent also. I always thought as I got older it would get easier to deal with. Unfortunately, it’s not the case. Thanks again for shedding some light on SA.

6. Absolutely the best Doctor! - Dr. Gupta is such a wonderful doctor. He has done so much for our world in medicine, as well as being a stellar human being! This show started out great and was extremely helpful during the Covid outbreak and they have evolved it through the past two years, to keep up with the current state of our world. Thank you for all you have done CNN and Dr. Gupta.

7. Too political. Thought you were a doctor - You lose credibility when your liberal bias shows. You probably don’t think you have it, but it’s obvious to anyone who is in medicine and can check you. Check yourself doc
Ironically you are taking about not trusting medicine, then talk about natural immunity with this vaccine.

8. Burn Out - How does one deal with burn out from having adult children living at home many years after they have graduated college? They are working a managerial job, putting in hours, and too tired to really help out at home, putting an excessive load onto their senior aged ( & ) parents. They want to move out but cannot do so currently because of the Pandemic; borders of where they would like to move are closed.

4. Heartbreak episode .. - I enjoyed this so much. I also lost my brother to overdose.. listening to this really put me in myself to feel. I was crying so hard with so much joy.. I was able to feel it and not feel embarrassed to show emotions.. I’m also a psychic and a medium I still get to be with my brother but it’s just not the same I don’t get to hold him and laugh with him anymore.. but listening to the two of you has helped me more then you know. I truly appreciate and enjoy you guys.. THANK YOU

5. Fluff, no actual advice - They talk around issues but don’t actually teach you how to heal. After listening to their fluffy episode on . Are you holding onto resentment? I’ve decided to cancel my membership in their program because it just highlighted the fact they don’t really ever show you how to heal. They just talk about buzzwords like trauma, healing, inner child, and they talk about why it’s important to heal but never talk about specific action steps to take to actually do the work to heal. No thanks.

6. I really wanted to like this podcast - I really wanted to like this podcast…… I’ve been following Nicole’s writings for awhile and find the way she presents her work very helpful and well articulated. I also love listening to her voice, which feels very grounded and clear. Listening to Jenna on the other hand is a different experience. Her voice comes across as somewhat forceful, anxious, with rapid speech - she doesn’t seem to be breathing much - It feels stressful listening to her. Perhaps this will get better over time and a more complimentary flow between their energies will develop. For now, I will stick to Nicole’s writings.

7. Life changing!!!! - The amount of healing this has given me is so profound! For a single mother who desperately wants to heal my inner child so I can be a better mother, friend & partner, this podcast has been invaluable. It’s so hard to find time for active inner healing while raising children & this podcast has been life changing!! Thank you so much for everything you do!!

8. Absolutely amazing - I relate so much to both. It was so relatable when Nicole shared how she wanted to puke when Jenna was being nice. Uck! The last few episodes have been hitting home. I love the personal experiences shared and challenges. It helps connect those dots for myself and what I’ve read. Also love how the steps are normally expressed or things to consider and say to yourself. Episodes , , , - have been amazing. Thanks ladies

1. MY LIFE AT NOT - This is a podcast show that literally explains my life, my childhood to a T. I often cry a lot because it’s nice to know you are not crazy like you are deemed because of the hand you were dealt. I didn’t ask for this horrible first years of my life. But now I am understanding exactly why I do what I do without knowing but knowing if that makes sense. Every week for counseling this podcast is shared and she takes note. If this helps just one person know that they are not alone, this is not their fault and it’s ok to say NO and learn to love yourself. I have been up since am up with pain and hard time sleeping due to ailments etc. I cried most of it literally my life. So thank you your soft tone to your voice is so calm and inviting that it’s easy to just lay back close your eyes and acknowledge, understand and grow!!! So THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for this show!!! Sincerely,
The year old healer.
TTFN- I’m out to find that beautiful little blonde haired girl that got so lost along the way

2. Podcast Routine - This podcast has become a part of my daily routine during my commute to and from work. I used to get really in my head, due to stress from work and life in general. It has helped pull me out of my head during those drives, giving me space to decompress, completely changing my mood and/or mindset for the day.

3. I LOVE this podcast!!!! - I’m listening to this podcast nearly every night now. Really enjoying those relevant topics to my life in the s as a female and how the host dives deep into the topics as well as the gentle way the host speaks. I literally burst into tears after ur ex’s answer to ‘when did I stop loving you’ ...and couldn’t really continue to finish that episode that night

5. amazing podcast for any young adults!!!! - i listen to this podcast every morning when i wake up. it sets up my day and makes me feel at peace, and think about a lot of things. i’m currently in college, so not exactly fitting the description of the title of the podcast, but i have been going through a lot of crazy life changes lately and have been reflecting a lot more than usual. this podcast and it’s relatability but research that backs it up has opened my mind and made me feel included and not alone. jemma does an amazing job with this podcast and i will continue listening forever. every title she releases relates to me and i always want to click on it. i will continue to listen to and support this podcast. jemma, if you’re reading, i love you and your podcast. you’ve done a great job. keep going

6. Right Show, Right Time… - First, confession time: I’m and male. That said, I recently stumbled across this show and have been really loving it. I recently finished hiking the Appalachian Trail, have gone through a major breakup, am living with my parents, am trying to move back to the city and trying to restart my career. Needless to say my emotions, feelings and thoughts have been all over the place and this show has been very grounding and edifying. It helps so much to know that I’m not alone in my struggles and that there is science and studies behind why I feel the way that I do. The most helpful thing I’ve heard recently that I’m really sticking to is reframing ‘anxiety’ as ‘excitement’. Both feelings use similar neural structures and pathways to communicate these sensations and so, with one’s wise mind, one can choose to interpret their life data in a more positive way. It’s the end of the year as I write this and so it’s a terrible time to try to get a job or move and that has caused a heaviness and sinking feeling for me to deal with; however, I have more power in how I perceive my situation and this show is a wonderful tool in my psychological quiver.

7. Speechless - I’m a new listener and have only listened to a few episodes. With that being said the relief my spirit feels after tuning in leaves me speechless. There’s something about the transparency that makes everything I’m going through feel shared. I’ve come to realize everything is a shared experience. This podcast has brought me a great deal of comfort and I / would recommend.

8. So helpful - Honestly I started listening to you about three days ago and I’ve already listened to about of your episodes. Listen to it in the car instead of music now and honestly has helped me this week so much! Many realizations and started to view things differently, it really helps hearing it come from someone else and out facts into it :) keep them coming haha

2. On Point - I have been struggling in my EMDR therapy to resolve the negative core belief that I’m not enough. I know I’m enough, I’m an awesome person. Something about that didn't seem to touch all the pain. After listening to Dec rd’s episode I had an eureka moment! It’s not that belief that’s is charged it’s the believe that I’m not wanted. This will change the course of my healing journey. I listen to everything you put out and your Live on Tik Tok. Thank you for all you do! Been flushing things out to try to heal. Keep up the work. 1. Thank You - I stumbled upon this podcast as I was so desperately trying to find something to bring a little hope back into my life. I am just coming back to God after many years of just knowing I could never be forgiven for all of the terrible things I have done in my life and that I absolutely am not worthy of his love. Turns out that gets tackled in the first episode. Lisa sharing her stories made me realize I am not alone. I feel for once in a few years, hopeful. Thank you.

2. Just started listening - I just started listening to this podcast. I like it so far because I enjoy learning about psychology and how we can heal if we work on it.
Season episode was a little bit confusing because they state the following: “So we already had a session on that. If you missed that, we'll put a link so you can go back and listen to that one.” There was not a link to this “previous session” and because this was episode of season it was very confusing because there is not an episode before this.

3. This is a great starting point, and little support moving forward - I have really appreciated the insights discovered in these podcasts & am so thankful for the efforts…. that said, I have had a very challenging time finding this place to leave a message & further, have reached out to Aacc.net to no avail locally, & have found that Jim Cress has a waitlist beyond that. I know that u intended this to a b temporary “pause” while ppl await help; rather, that is not the case.

4. Usually A Fan…. - I’m usually a fan of Lysa, which is why I started listening to this podcast. My first episode was about porn-demic, however, and I stopped listening after the third time Lysa said “I just don’t get it.” I feel like that’s the attitude and language surrounding porn that keeps married men silent about their issues…

5. Helpful - Hi Lisa, Thanks so much for this! I am a new fan. The - podcasts have been helpful & informative. I really appreciate the careful, professional insight from Jim & Joel. It matters to me very much to think biblically about these issues while not glossing over what has really happened. Thank you for using your story & wisdoms to help others. It truly does.

6. So good and so needed! - I’m so glad you guys are doing this podcast! It makes all the difference to be educated and equipped to deal with your own issues and stop unhealthy cycles, that have been happening in your own family history for ages, and have them end with you. I’m thankful for grace filled, intentionality here too, and understanding that we’re all on our journeys. My thanks to all three of you. I have one observation on the episode with pornography and addictions (I think), and that is: it might have been helpful to have another female guest who “gets it”. It’s definitely a subject that is heavily discussed on the male side but not the female side when it comes to addiction, and if female viewed pornography has jumped % since , than it can only help to bring in more insight there. Thanks for letting me express that! God bless and continue your good work!

7. So Helpful - This is by far my favorite podcast I’ve listened to, regardless of genre. It’s so helpful as it makes you realize the feelings you have are likely similar to so many other people. It gives your practical techniques and knowledge as to why you may be feeling a certain way and how to handle/cope with it. Highly recommend!!

8. So Inspiring - I’ve been struggling with my intimacy with the Lord and while my main go to was crime podcasts I decided I need to start listening/reading more about God. I found this podcast at the beginning of the year and it’s so relatable that I am thankful that I started listening to it. I am currently in a relationship that has put me through more pain than through happiness even though both me and my partner are Christians and know about the word. Episode really spoke to me about narcissism and about love languages and what I enjoy about these conversations is that it all points back to scripture and so I can go on about my day knowing that God is truly the one who will get me out of this situation or redirect both me and my partner to a healthy/balanced relationship. Thank you Lysa for such an incredible podcast and I just ordered “Forgiving What You Can’t Forget.” Can’t wait to read

So the parable goes, an elder speaking with his granddaughter says, "In life, there are two wolves inside of us that are always at battle. One is a good wolf, which represents things like kindness, bravery, and love. And the other is a bad wolf, which represents things like greed, hatred, and fear. " The granddaughter stops and thinks about it for a second. She looks up at her grandfather and says, "Well, which one wins?" And the grandfather says, "The one you feed." When host Eric Zimmer was 2...

1. So much - This is one of, if not, my favorite podcast.
Eric has an amazing voice. His questions are pertinent and to the point without ever being rude. The topics are interesting with a variety of guests. years ago my young son came home from school after getting in trouble …I asked him Why?
He simply replied “Mom I have a red David on one shoulder and a white David on the other”.
Feed the good one son.

2. Great podcast - I like to read. However I’m a mother with two kids and sometimes it’s easier to listen to a podcast than to read. I take my child on walks to nap and listen to this podcast. This podcast often re centers me after the normal chaos of life, work and kids. It is easy to follow and understand but is full of knowledge. feel good energy. This podcast should be bigger than it is and I imagine it will be soon or perhaps it is and I just didn’t realize. I fortunately stumbled on this podcast . I recommended it to my mother and she loves it too.

3. Grateful for this content - Long time listener to this fantastic podcast. I have learned so much and am grateful for the quality content on so many topics. I’m super happy for the creator that he is able to be compensated by having ads - he deserves it!!! I can only imagine the amount of work he has put in over the years! I hope he makes bank!! Thank you to the creator and team for this gift of a podcast. All the best fellow humans. Today I feed the good wolf.

4. Great show, horrible marketing - I’d listened to your show with James Nestor. Very informative and an excellent podcast! The interviewer was well spoken and directed the conversation flow wonderfully. I was, however, EXTREMELY unimpressed by the three McDonalds commercials which were placed randomly throughout that particular show; what a terrible turn off. Please have your marketing department reconsider their target audience. Personally I do my best to shop organically and locally; we vote with our dollars and I’d love to see you include more consideration for your listeners by choosing your sponsors more carefully. Thanks for your excellent interviews! Get your advertising under control you’ve got a completely successful show ( from an audience’s perspective).

5. Episode Assignment - WHAT: I am an educator and what I got from this episode were some new strategies (and a book I need to read) that may help me at my own classroom level, but also at a team and school level to bring some awareness to the experiences some of our more challenging students may be having from their perspective. SO WHAT: So now, in addition to wanting to read Sarah’s book, I can imagine taking time to create spaces within the day to be sure students feel seen and heard and represented through art displays, structured sharing time, and/or student selected activities that can be shared within the classroom/team. NOW WHAT: I would love to take the information I will learn in Sarah’s book and present some ideas to my administrators and team mates to try as we embark on a new school year starting in July!

6. Take a breath! - It’s ironic Cory Allen is promoting meditation and he doesn’t come up for air the whole interview? He made me super anxious and confused—talking too fast and not getting his point across. I do love your podcast but coach the guests a bit. To help people it’s good to slow down and pay attention?

7. Promotes positive thinking; not a fan of the opening song - Lately I’ve been skipping these episodes as soon as they start on auto play. I enjoy the content, but as soon as I start hearing that intro music I think, “I can’t listen to this right now.” I’m a HSP with ADHD, and I took the time to continue listening and ask myself “why do I keep skipping this?” I realized it’s the song. It’s terrible in a way I can’t explain. Maybe it’s the song itself, maybe it’s the length, maybe it’s the overlapping with the intro speech, maybe it’s all three? Anyway, I know this is a highly personal gripe so I’m not taking away any stars for it. stars because it’s good, but not great. Definitely enjoy episodes with some levity more than the super serious ones. The host has a nice, steady, clear way of speaking. Sometimes his response feels detached from the interviewee’s comments, as if he’s reading from a script or list of questions and doesn’t have the ability to improvise if their response is too far off from what he expects.

8. The one you feed - This podcast has been a top show for me for years now. I so enjoy the topic but also the tone and thoughtful approach. When I started listening I didn’t even understand the parable, and now it is part of my daily thoughts. I imagine it has helped thousands of others deal with the struggles of our minds as it has with me. Thank you!

1. Episode Women in the Workplace - Today was the first day I found and started listening to this podcast and it resonated with me so much as I moved out of Atlanta from college to a predominantly white area for my work. This episode gave me some really good insight I feel early on in my career that I can use moving forward. Thank you Dr. Harden Bradford and Dr. Thomas!
2023-01-22
2. Love the show, not the episode descriptions - As much as I love the show, I wish the description of each episode was at the top of the text rather than after the description of the show. We know what the podcast is about, but telling us what each episode is about is more important. Too much text to read or scroll past makes me delete the episode. I listen to a lot of podcasts, this is the only one that does this.

3. Therapy for Black Girls - Dr. Harden Bradford’s podcast is empowering! I’m continually enlightened and inspired by her expertise, topics and guests. Not only does Dr. Harden Bradford’s work help me personally, I share it with my year old daughter and others which exemplifies it’s community impact This gift and resource is invaluable!

4. - This podcast is amazing and also the first one I’ve ever reviewed. I’ve learned many a lesson here that’s impacted my personal and professional life. I’m a budding therapist currently getting my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and I use some of the techniques learned here to assist with helping others. Thank you.

5. Excellent space to feel understood and comforted by other beautiful women - I’m new and I’m making my way through the podcasts of interest and even some I didn’t think I’d like but I find learning about different topics very valuable. I also have enjoyed the three for Thursday chats, the check ins, book club and the sex talk in September with Goddie (Goody). Definitely will stick with this beautiful community of women who aren’t afraid to say I need help and I don’t have it all together as society pegs us as the strong black woman… We have pain, tears, deep feelings, struggles, wins, love, accomplishments, blessings from God, everything a human being has. We aren’t super human and if we have a tough exterior it’s the way we’ve learned to cope and care for ourselves. Love this podcast and Dr Joy’s “Sister Circle” app. It’s well worth my time and energy to get and give support to fellow sisters of any color.

6. Content needs refresh - Great podcast when I started listening a few years ago, but now the format is more interviews and sometimes gets a little self-promoty for the guests. But I get why bc BW experts and professionals have little spaces/platforms available to them so this show provides that. But perhaps a spin-off show would be better for that.
2022-10-10
7. This is a much needed resource - I’m a new listener and so far I love it. I have started listening at the beginning episodes and I find the encouragement and advice very helpful. I also like to read the reviews of podcasts that I am new to. I read a review where the listener said they felt the podcast was racist, and I simply don’t understand how they arrived there. So often as black women we are told we have to include everyone while simultaneously being excluded by everyone. There are plenty of podcasts that cater to other demographics but very few that address the issues, needs and concerns of black women. Please keep doing your podcast as is. As a black woman in my mid forties I’m just now learning how to advocate for myself and that includes finding spaces where I can be my full self and feel valued as a human. I’m only a few episodes in and this is one of those spaces. I appreciate you sharing your expertise with us. It’s very much needed.
2022-10-06
8. It’s okay - I really like this podcast and the messages it’s giving out but, I see it as racist .Black women aren’t the only females who struggle with things or need to be encouraged, their are many other women who need motivation and inspiration not just African American women. It’s really good just need to work on giving inspiration to other cultures.

1. Gratitude for Being Well - This is my absolute favorite podcast. I’ve been experiencing so much mental instability lately and Being Well has been such an important stabilizing force in my life. Forrest does an excellent job finding the balance between science and anecdote and really expertly navigates the nuance of the wildly complex world of mental health and psychology. I’m so grateful to you, Forrest, for creating such a beautiful platform for Rick and the other guests. Even outside of the really valuable content shared, your combination of high commitment and and high transparency and authenticity is such an inspiration to me. It feels almost too good to be true that we get to listen in on really beautiful moments with your father and generous moments of self disclosure. What a gift. Thank you!

2. podcast - appreciate the part focused on women’s experience in being embodied and most of the time disembodied - please do more just on women’s work on being embodied especially around abortion and how some states are going to imprison women for their deciding to give birth or not . also women of color have different trauma experiences from generational medical acts and psychological trauma inflicted on them by white men - huge subjects worth talking g about- thanks for putting these issues out there more and more as women’s rights are more under threat than ever

3. Bridget - Being Well is my Go To podcast. It’s the one I recommend to anyone who asks and sometimes when they don’t ask. Rich, nuanced content, well researched information, thought leaders who set their egos aside and simply attend to gentle and clear guidance on doing life. For all breathing humans, this is THE one!
2023-02-24
4. Healing, informative, kind - Wow, I’m so glad that the algorithm led me to this podcast! I’m still fairly new, but every episode I’ve heard so far has given me exactly what I needed in that moment. The discussions about self-worth, seeing the good in ourselves and others, forgiveness and change have all been incredibly eye-opening. I take notes as I listen because there are so many pearls of wisdom and so much great practical advice. Just answering some simple questions can be life-changing. But I love that none of it feels prescriptive in any way. There’s incredible kindness here. No one is telling you what you have to do if you want to have a better life, there’s not an ounce of condescension, no superior beings talking to the uninformed masses. It’s very gentle but powerful guidance. Thank you!

5. This Podcast! - There is no shortage of excellent podcasts one can enjoy on the internet. Many I return to again and again, as their guests are often sharing information that is entertaining, informative and helpful. Like many of us, my interests are many and varied, but my struggle with Depression and anxiety led me to Dr. Rick Hanson’s work. I’m often amazed how often the conversations with Dr. Rick and his son Hanson, along with their brilliant guests on their Podcast resonates deeply hitting home again and again. The topics they discuss and the depth and breadth of information they share consistently, is as interesting, enlightening, informative as it is transformative. I can’t speak highly enough of their work, the content offered in their podcast offered freely, is worth its weight in gold and I am ever grateful for all they offer and do on behalf of the human spirit and their belief in our ability to continue to heal, grow and thrive no matter our past.

6. Enjoy - I really enjoy your podcast and I like both you and your dad's voices. What I was disappointed in were your recent slams of political conservatives. Although I think your dad and guest tried to mask their dislike, it was pretty obvious based on the few comments that were said. There is so much political polarity in this world, please don't add to it. Thank you!

7. Five stars - Hello I want to share with you both and with All the listeners of your wonderful podcast, without having come upon Dr Rick Hanson’s work online, I’m not sure how my life would have turned around as it did….
I was at the lowest point in my life I’d ever witnessed. I’d been diagnosed with a debilitating disease, I was working, raising my daughters on my own on our farm where everyone counted on me with many needs outside my own, I was overwhelmed. I felt at one point of giving up. Never had I felt so alone, at the bottom and couldn’t find that step up that was so needed. Long story short, I somehow came upon the website and listened to a few videos and applied for a scholarship for the year long foundation course. I received the scholarship!! It changed everything for me and as of today, it was the door that opened- that set me back on my path of living life as best as I could…. I deeply appreciate everything you both bring to the audience in All of its colors - tone, authenticity, vulnerability, and joy! I say, it’s like the one starfish at a time story, you threw me back into the ocean of hope! Thank you so much,
Sandra

8. - I simply love this podcast. You guys are always well spoken, incredibly well articulated, make things easy for us listeners to understand and the topics are fantastic. 1. Multifaceted and honest, def give it a listen - I have followed Mari and Bloom for years now, and was thrilled when she announced the pod. It’s so refreshing to hear her talk about her struggles, new stuff she’s interested in, and how she incorporates wellness, working out, and mental health into her whole brand. I honestly love her and even listened to the whole liver king ep even if as a vegan I had to fast forward some parts ( )

2. LOVE MARI - I just recently discovered Mari and I have fallen in love with her journey. I feel so inspired and I can’t wait to continue to listen to her podcasts that motivate me to be the best version of myself. She’s educated and I feel like she really understands what I’m going through making me even more inclined to follow what she does.

3. The only podcast I listen to - I’m not one for podcasts but I absolutely love listening to this one! Been following Mari on social media for a couple years, her fitness journey is inspiring and I’ve loved how open she has been with a wide community of women. She’s opened up even more with all of us through this podcast; the guests she has are informative, the dialogue is relaxed and at times hilarious, and a lot of the topics have been very relatable.

4. The most inspiring podcast out there - I love Mari and this podcast!! I’ve been following along on her journey since the very beginning (YouTube, omg loved her vlogs). It’s been incredible watching the growth of her businesses and honestly a huge encouragement for me in my own mental health journey. I find myself coming here to listen when I am in need of encouragement, inspiration or motivation! Mari is so down to earth, open and Relatable. Highly recommend!

5. My girl - Been following Mari through her journey from the very beginning of selling booty bands out of her dad’s attic (still got that band btw). Mari is so genuine and has the most incredible vibe about her. So so glad she FINALLY created a podcast! Love my true crime podcasts but this may be my new fav. I look forward to mondays now! Cannot wait to watch this podcast take the heck off!

6. Love this podcast as much as I love Bloom Nu! - When I heard Mari was starting a podcast I subscribed immediately! I look forward each Monday to the latest on what Mari has to say, her guest speakers, and all the laughs that follow her banter. Not only is the podcast fun to listen to, but it’s super inspiring! Listening to someone I admire and connect with so deeply makes it feel like I’m getting tips from a friend. If you love Mari’s journey, her content, her business, or Greg… you’re going to be a fan of this podcast too!! Hit subscribe already!!

7. Fantastic! - I look forward to these episodes! They’re filled with lifestyle changes that the everyday person can easily implement in their lives. I began taking liver capsules and bought redmonds salt to sprinkle in my water for electrolytes. It’s given me a new spark to pursuit my own wellness!

8. My new favorite podcast!! - Really love the conversations on all aspects of wellness so far. I’ve been enjoying listening when making dinner or doing housework. Each episode has been inspiring to try something new or look at a topic from another angle. I’d love to hear an episode on equity and inclusivity, as often wellness can feel out of reach or excluding. Keep up the incredible content!

1. Great podcast! - Thanks for putting this together! Lots of great episodes. I want to commend the labeling efforts. Sometimes I’m looking for a story but most of the time I’m looking for workshops. I appreciate that it’s easy to locate based on the title. I also appreciate the effort at marking things like “funny” or “humor” - I’m not particularly into that style but I know a lot of people are so it helps to know what I’m getting. I also appreciate categorizing the date of the talk so I know whether it will be Zoom. Thanks again!

2. Meh - I don’t know why a lot of people who got sober at a young age are so militant in their interpretation of the literature. A lot of them sound the same and appear to be tied up in the dogma of “the black print”. I don’t know but it sounds like these people tie into this because it gives them a sense of control. Personally I need to remember that the book was written by a single man with little input from the first and slightly more help from a man who died drunk. Anyways, I love the basic text and this may help a lot of people. I tuned in for a moment. See y’all out there on the road.

3. Love this podcast - I listen to this podcast and it just makes my day!! Thank you to those for sharing with us and letting us grow and helping us each day! I am so grateful for this outlet especially on days when I can’t get to a meeting or just need to feel close to others! It’s a wonderful podcast and I encourage you to support it and also support by donation! It is ad free!!

4. Good but sometimes lacking direction - The meeting are great. My only feedback is that a lot of the meetings are focused on so much humor that it takes a while for the speaker to get to the point. It’s more like a comedy show. A little humor is okay but often there’s so much it drags out and you can lose interest easily. I wish that would be screened for better.

5. Bucket list - In this lifetime I will have the opportunity to shake Astrid H’s hand I listen to her speeches over and over again and always hear something new I missed the last time. I also have a hard time listening and she gets my full attention every time. Thank you Astrid you are in my gratitude list everyday! I’m a huge fan and don’t ever stop speaking! Keep shining:)

6. Marty C - Full workshop Trusting in a Higher Power - Absolutely loved this and listened to it again so I could write down his “pearls of wisdom”. I hadn’t heard him before but I could have listened to him for hours! The / flew by! Please post more workshops that carry depth and weight. Thank you for your service!

7. Sponsors - I love this podcast. I love recovery. I love AA. But this latest episode bothered me. Sponsors need to explain to sponsees that there are some things you do not share from the podium. These young people are welcome to AA but they are different in many ways from us older people, they are not as filtered. The episode titled Jeffery and Kelly is specifically what I am talking about. The older AAs do not want to hear about a girl getting “finger blasted”. That info might belong in a different program but not in AA. There are appropriate ways to talk about such things using appropriate language. Whoever this girls sponsor is I hope you can help her!!! And young lady, if you do not have a sponsor, find one! One who is over !

8. Astrid H speaker review - Good afternoon, I just listened to this podcast for the first time today. I heard Astrid H speak. I really appreciated the various topics that she covered. I listened today first as a person and second as a therapist. I found tools in many ways for both roles. As a therapist, I do tend to see things through the lens of recovery principles. Much of what she said rang true.

1. Think differently - The minimalist help me to look at my own live in different perspectives. Thanks to them I’ve learned minimalism is not only cleaning out physical clutter but clutter in many aspects of life. I encourage sharing their podcast with anyone who lives in this big crazy world as we know it.
2023-02-20
2. Good info, needs better delivery - I really appreciate what the minimalists have done. I started following their blog when they were new to the scene many years ago, after the original group including Joshua, Courtney and Colin. However, I don’t listen to their podcasts much because I honestly can’t stand the performative preachy way that Joshua goes on at length about nearly everything. I find myself wanting to hear from Ryan and their guests a lot more.
2023-01-27
3. Too deep for me - This podcast has gotten too crazy for me.. I keep trying to like it because these guys are highly regarded in the minimalism community.. but their episodes have gotten so depressing for me. You can no longer have passions or hobbies without becoming too ‘attached’ according to these guys and their experts.. And we have all been brainwashed and blah blah blah… so depressing .. exactly for whom is this kind of philosophy helpful??? I think they’ve lost their purpose.
2023-01-07
4. Good core message, but junk science - I appreciate their core message and I really like this podcast, but it’s not without issue. I recommend listening to the first - episodes which are less polished but give you the content they are known for. The podcast gets more polished as it goes, but also much more long-winded (until they FINALLY get a buzzer for Josh). I like these guys, but they buy into a lot of crackpot theories. The sleep episode has some guy selling snake oil to keep away the bad mojo from your cell phone. As though imbibing a small amount of oil would affect this, if it’s even a real problem, which they provide no evidence for. They moved to California and the woo-woo dial really cranked up.
2022-12-16
5. Best Podcast! - I have been listening to The Minimalists for years. I even became a Patreon supporter! I can honestly say these guys have changed my life and my mindset. With their help, I have minimized possessions, relationships, bad habits, and everything in between. I have maximized the intentionality in which I live my life daily. These guys helped me to clear the fog in my brain and realize what I truly need. Life isn’t about possessions, it’s about people.

6. Letter From a Serial Consumer - To everyone involved in the production of the Minimalist Podcast: You keep me on track. Perspective is so easy to lose! Your podcast is like the accountability partner I never had. As a young woman, I tend to get swept up into the world of fashion trends and struggle with relating my self worth to my physical possessions; but, since I’ve started listening to your podcast, those feelings of stuff-related inadequacy have dimmed. It’s as if my priorities and understanding of what TRULY matters are shifting: I’m realizing how little I value THINGS. It turns out, what I really value is acceptance and that things were just a perceived means of gaining that. I’m not sure if I ever would’ve come to this understanding without the Minimalist podcast! Now, my purchases are made with much more intention, and my focus is on experience rather than accumulating physical items. Thank you for what you’re doing,
An avid listener of the Minimalist Podcast To the One Pondering Whether to Give The Minimalist Podcast a Listen, If you start listening to this podcast, you’ll come to realize that minimalism is not about detaching meaning from items; rather, it is about coming to deeper understanding about what truly has value. The Minimalist Podcast makes simplicity attractive, and keeping up with the Jones’ sound like a rat race wherein nobody wins! The misnomer in our society is that MORE BETTER. But, you’ll learn all about how “more” really only dilutes meaning… This podcast is informative, warm, and genuine. These guys are not out to sell you some ridiculous promise of “happily ever after”: they’re here to bring awareness, intentionality, and guidance- not the kind that asserts their own values, but the kind that beckons you to reevaluate yours! Thank You @TheMinimalists

7. Great podcast. - At times a guest or content will be somewhat inappropriate. It may have to do with pushing sexual boundaries on a girl friend. Making the partner want a sexual experience they said they weren’t comfortable with. I dropped my jaw! When I left a constructive comment on their Instagram post with my complaint, it was removed. It’s important The Minimalists take constructive criticism, know their audience, and their purpose! The guest hosts should be more carefully selected. The content should be family friendly because ultimately the minimalist principals are being applied in family settings.

8. Life Changing! - I love this podcast! Josh and Ryan have inspired me to make so many positive changes in my life. By learning from their experiences, I have taken what works for me, and I've cleared so much from my life! They don't just talk about getting rid of burdensome STUFF, they talk about how living a more meaningful life through minimalism touches on many aspects of life: health, relationships, finances, writing, handling criticism, and so much more. I listen to them whenever I can. They don't preach, they share and inspire. Keep up the great work Josh and Ryan! NKC

1. Start listening now - Jessica brings emotional intelligence, criticality and absolute delightfulness to astrology. Grateful she has this platform to share her wealth of knowledge, wisdom, gifts, and grounded insights. I learn something new every time. I so appreciate that she highlights ways to learn from and support BIPOC and Queer-led organizing and activism in her show breaks, too. Thank you, Jessica, for helping us be better humans, and to remind the world that woo-work/the spiritual is absolutely political. Much love and respect for you!

2. Im Hooked on this podcast! Its good stuff and she is good stuff! - She is so awesome and im loving the knowledge and my mind has expanded and my spirit has aligned. Thank you so much Jessica for all you do! Happy Birthday and I hope you can read me some day. Fingers crossed. Your such a Diva! Ill admit there are end of the weeks when I throw my fists in the air and scream, “DARN YOU LANYADOO! I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE HEEDED YOUR WARNINGS!”

3. Sass Realness Love - Jessicas pod is honest, intersectional, and real. I love listening to her counsel people and reflect peoples unique qualities back to them. She is radically honest with such tenderness. Her horoscopes are a great place to learn astrology as she explains what planets and aspects mean and how to hold them in context. I couldn't recommend this podcast more!

4. if I could only listen to one podcast for the rest of my life… - …this would be it. this is the only podcast i listen to religiously, on a weekly basis, as soon as the new episodes come out. at first i was just looking to deepen my knowledge of astrology, but what i found was so much more. jessica speaks like the wise best friend we all need in our life. it doesn’t matter how much or how little you know about astrology when you go into this podcast, because the advice is universally wise and always couched within the historical and political reality we find ourselves existing in today. by offering advice within the context of listeners’ birth charts, jessica shows us how astrology is a language and a framework for making sense of ourselves and the world around us. i recommend this podcast to all of my friends, regardless of their interest in astrology, because the advice and realness jessica severs is always that deep, it must be heard.

5. A present to the world - I realized how much I enjoy the readings on this podcast when Jessica took a rare (and well deserved) week off for her birthday and I discovered how much I missed them! (She still provided our horoscopes .) Her readings display a wonderful blend of deep astrological know-how, emotional intelligence, common sense and genuine psychic insight (and this comes from someone inclined to be skeptical on this topic—her, I trust). A rare blend of woo and practicality ( leave it to a triple Capricorn to have both feet planted firmly on the ground); accessible to all levels of astrological knowledge. Thank you, Jessica for this compassionate, well-crafted podcast! And a belated Happy Birthday!

6. Wonderful information - I truly enjoy this podcast! I get so much info, not only the energy of the week, but more understanding about natal charts and how they can affect us. This has helped me grow in so many ways mentally and spiritually. Jessica, YOU RULE! This is my top podcast to listen to on the road. // - Happy annual trip around the Sun!

7. Always looking forward to the next epi - Wonderful podcast. Jessica’s knowledge of astrology and it’s relation to current life and current events is incomparable to other astrologers out there. Real discussions of how your chart/ others charts/ and the US as a whole, may be effected by the flows and changes happening. Jessica doesn’t miss.

8. Grounded and Enlightening - Going on year of listening to this podcast and it’s been such an insightful experience. Each episode I learn something new about myself & astrology itself. I love how anyone can listen. Whether you know a whole lot of nothing about astrology or you’re interested in learning astrology OR your an astrology guru. No matter the level of knowledge or interest as a listener you walk away with so much. I’m so happy I found it. It’s funny, insightful, intimate and so honest. It has been a impactful key to my spiritual evolution and understanding with astrology as well as an supportive aid in healing and processing feelings. love it! Love Jessica. She’s truly one of one and one of a kind. My fave! Browse and enjoy!

1. Her ads for her own products make this impossible - The constant bombardment of many ads in even the short episodes for her apps, pills, whatever etc make the useful knowledge pointless. It’s not just jarring, I’m forced to constantly be aware an ad is coming and skip skip skip ahead. Not worth it if you are in real need of help and support as her priority is getting you into a sales funnel or subscription. Find someone else.

2. Thank you for episode !!! - This was an Amazingly helpful and interesting podcast. I am trying to taper off of Paxil and klonopin at yrs old. I have been on both for yrs and have been desperately searching for information on tapering. I have worked with psychiatrists and have a much clearer and detailed understanding than all the yrs of researching. I am so grateful to Dr Horowitz for sharing his personal experience with tapering off his medications and for sharing the information on how to taper. He’s amazing and I would love to work with him. Please bring him back again! I would like to know more about tapering medications
at the same time. Thank you so very much!

3. Revolutionary - Thank you Dr. Leaf for episode . I’m currently trying to wean from an SNRI for the rd time, and I too have experienced depersonalization, derealization, psycosis, headaches, night sweats, tremors, dysarthria and so on. Not very many people are talking about antidepressant withdrawal so thank you for being the peoples voice. Really crucial stuff here
2022-11-19
4. Great Topics - This podcast has so many interviews with different angles but all related to Dr Leaf’s findings from years in the profession and research. I found the episode on Highly Sensitive People life changing! It helped me understand a memory that was unlocked from doing the Neurocycle and so many other things in my life.
2022-11-13
5. Too Many Ads Make Dr Leaf Seem Insincere - I understand that few things are free, and I find the Patreon vs listen with ads model reasonable. But as a first time listener, I selected a minute episode about disappointment. It began with an ad for a podcasting platform. Then came an ad for mental health. Both seemed ok as they are in keeping with Dr Leaf’s wheelhouse. Then she was interrupted mid sentence for a highly scripted ad about zit cream. I was beginning to wonder if she will advertise literally anything. Then she was once again interrupted by something nutritional or diet-related and I just gave up. Such a shame, really. I subscribe to podcaster’s paid extensions and would have considered Dr Leaf, but after all that shilling, I wonder how hard up she is and what she really stands for.
2022-08-06
6. She’s becoming TOXIC - I’ve been listening to Dr. Leaf for a few years, and also bought her book. I’m completely done paying attention to her after episode . It’s such a disappointment to observe how far removed she is compared to who she was when I first started listening. People typically change and grow; unfortunately Caroline Leaf is going in the wrong direction. I’ve lost respect for her and highly recommend not listening to this podcast.
2022-06-30
7. Yikes - Dr. Leaf first caught my attention by using God’s Word in her approach to science. God created science We don’t need to run from it!! Science and Faith are complimentary, not contrary! I’ve loved her for this approach, but she abandoned her WORD :( in order to pander to the loudest voices of our society. The silent majority was with you, Caroline. Careful here. The group you are pandering to tends to eat it’s own. You are brilliant and I’m praying for a revelation in your spirit!
2022-04-23
8. Episode w/ Josh Peck - I love everything I’ve learned from your podcasts and your book, “Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess”. Life changing! My favorite guest you’ve had on your podcast has to be Josh Peck. His story and your interaction with him revealed real life application of all the things I’ve been learning since discovering you and your work months ago. I look forward to each new episode.

Boring Books for Bedtime is a weekly sleep podcast in which we calmly, quietly read something rather boring to help silence the brain chatter keeping you awake. Think Galileo, Aristotle, Emerson, and whoever wrote the 1897 Sears Catalog—mostly nonfiction, mostly old, and a perfect blend of vaguely-but-not-too interesting If you're on Team Sleepless, lie back, take a deep breath, and let us read you to rest.

Comments
1. Outstanding Sleep Podcast - This show is criminally underrated! I’ve been listening to various sleep pods for years now, and this particular narrator does a phenomenal job. Many other shows get overly “breathy” and the reader’s voice comes across as being rather aggressive. Boring Books really sounds like a parent gently reading you a bedtime story, her voice is so smooth and soft. And the pieces read on the show are great for falling asleep. My personal faves are the old “scientific” books, because much of these obscure theories are not factually correct, it gives your brain a very tangled tangent to follow right to sleep.
2023-02-09
2. A Miracle - I have had chronic insomnia for years - progressively needing more and more OTC and prescription medication. But my mind would just keep going, and I couldn’t stop thinking. Then a friend introduced Boring Books to me weeks ago, and well, I have had a good nights sleep ever since! I’m slowly weaning myself off meds, too! I am so grateful, thank you!
2023-01-07
3. Sleep without stress! - Anxiety no longer keeps me up until the early hours of the morning thanks to this podcast, easy to focus on for a time to quiet my thoughts, but I also don’t care enough about it to stay awake for it. Side note:I’ve also noticed my dog goes to sleep faster when it’s playing!
2023-01-06
4. Incredibly interesting and soothing - All the books I want to read, but ADHD won't let me. Also, voice is very soothing for my anxiety. Great for getting into sleepy mode, or just having a nice relaxing time.
I am a geologist, so I especially enjoyed the ones about science or earth explorations. Not boring at all, but still very effective for bedtime! Hurray!
2022-03-27
5. Amazing. Five Stars. - Before I got into using Boring Books for Bedtime, I listened to audiobooks every night. Which I guess was fine, but they weren’t calming or boring AT ALL and I always ended up staying up much, much, much too late! So I decided to try something new. Something that wasn’t an audiobook. I wanted to try a podcast. So I searched “Bedtime Stories” and up popped this podcast, and I’ve been using it ever since! Boring Books for Bedtime is a great, soothing podcast that isn’t too long and isn’t too short to guarantee you fall asleep before the episode ends. Each is about minutes long, which is PERFECT since before I always set my sleep timer for minutes, now I just press play and doze off. It’s the most (boringly great) stories that put me to sleep faster then ever, and all my problems caused by constantly being sleep deprived are slowly disappearing! Thank you so much creators of this podcast, I use it every night and I even get excited to sleep thanks to you.

6. BBBx will send you to dreamland - If you have trouble sleeping, BBBx is the podcast for you! Sharon has such a lovely voice. I absolutely adore the obscurity of the books she reads from. Want to learn ‘Farm Engines & How to Run Them’? What about hearing some of the ‘Memoirs of Benjamin Franklin’? No? Well, if you just listen for a bit, you will not know how to Farm or any amazing things about Ben Franklin; but you will be asleep.
My faves to listen to is the ‘Media Purchase Terms & Conditions’
‘Sears Catalog Series from ’s’ , Practical Mind Reading’ and especially the ‘Book on Household Management’ series.
Have a listen. If you fall asleep it’s a win.
If you didn’t sleep? You learned some new and unusual things!
2021-11-26
7. THE BEST!!! - I used to take something to help me sleep. I thought it was the only way I would ever go to sleep. I could never shut my brain down. Then I decided to try listening to a sleep podcast. I tested samples. But this one is the only one I listen to. Several episodes are my favorites and I listen over and over. Some times I try a new one. I have never fallen asleep so fast as I do with this podcast. Not even when I took a sleeping pill. I can’t thank you enough.
2021-09-14
8. Great podcasts, but please correct low volume in earlier works - I’ve a hearing disability and wear aids during the day. For sleep of course I do not. I find some of the episodes from and earlier are such low volume I cannot raise it enough to actually hear. I like the option of controlling the volume myself, I hope you won’t make any more with low volume and can you correct the earlier ones?. This is a great podcast!! I’ve listened to many sleep podcasts and this reader has enough inflection to capture my attention, but sing song enough to gentle my busy brain. The variety of subject matter is much appreciated. My faves are the Sears Robuck catalogue, The History of Bread and this one on Etiquette Thanks so much for such an excellent group of podcasts.
