1. Is That Elizabeth Olsen?? - I just have ONE question about this film...why does the antagonist/ creepy robot girl, look like that Olsen chick from The Avengers that played Scarlett Witch? That's more creepier than the premise of the film. o.O I haven't seen the film yet, so I can't accurately rate it, but based on the preview clip, it's original for a horror film, although Spielbeg already did A.I. Looks intteresting, not sure entirely until I see it, so I'll give it stars and then after watching it, come back to give my cents on it.

2. Marvellous - You’ll jump, laugh and cry watching this awesome little flick. You might also find yourself rooting for the android! I don’t usually go for horror but this one is light on the graphic violence and is also darkly comedic (hence the PG rating). The soundtrack was beautiful A and unexpected surprise.

Margot and Tyler (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult), a young couple, travel to an elite, remote, coastal island in order to dine at an exclusive restaurant where a mysterious chef (Ralph Fiennes) has prepared a lavish, expensive menu. But it soon becomes clear that the pretentious, pampered dinner guests are about to be served some shocking surprises. Consumerism takes on a hilariously scary meaning in this dark comedy that features Hong Chau, Janet McTeer, Judith Light and John Leguizamo in a...

1. Should have been called Cult of the Chef. - Movie made little sense as to why everyone in the movie was such a devoted follower of the chef. Good acting but stupid story and a wasted opportunity since almost zero back story is given throughout the movie. Reason I would have titled it Cult of the Chef is because cults make no sense yet still get crazy followers just like this story. Stars for good acting.

2. BURRP PFFFFT MMM.. U.S. PRIME! - Homemade, all organic farm to fork! Gives devilish sharp commentary on the preppings and goings-on in a metaphorical world-class kitchen of the highfalutin, quite literally. Those that gobbling up, hoarding all the fixins, might pause to take note.. best tip well the server, best compliment often the chef, best shut up else Ye be on the menu. DIG IN! ENJOY!! TASTE THE OUTRAGE!!!

3. Excellent film - Superb film. The suspense is incredible. The timing is perfect and the acting is phenomenal. Especially Ralph Fiennes. Nobody plays unstable like him. Very entertaining movie. And good performances all around. This is by far the best film I have seen this year except for don’t worry darling. Both films are being ignored by the Oscar’s. Please

4. Willy Wonka and Clue Meets Hells Kitchen - I bought this movie from Amazon and watched it tonight and it was surprisingly very good. The plot is horror Willy Wonka and Clue in an isolated restaurant where several wealthy people who all were invited to a lavish meal prepared by a mad chef who is sadistic and somewhat jealous of these people because of their status and his belief that they have failed and exploited him in his career. The entire movie was filled with suspense from start to finish and kept me on the edge! The violence is not too graphic (except for a scene when one of the cooks kills himself) but there’s a lot of cussing so be prepared if you don’t like bad language. I would definitely watch it again!

5. Seems like an Angry Display of? - Have movies become public (populist) outrage for everything someone feels justified to be angry about? It seems so. If you not an angry person about your situation, then skip it. They (producers/directors) are relying on your anger for their support...stupid! Uplift me please. Let's have fun -give me that! Can we stop celebrating our anger?

6. Poor movie - What a ridiculous, stupid movie. I'm sorry, but it's devoid of suspense, humor, wit, and anything to beg for mercy. The script and plot are full of holes and implausible twists. It's sad that good actors like Fiennes give themselves to it. Above all, it remains a mystery what director Mark Mylod actually wanted to tell us ... BUT: Anya Taylor-Joy impresses with her aura and acting presence. However, she or her manager should have chosen better films in which to star. Careers can quickly be hampered by such bad decisions.

7. Great movie - not for everyone - This is a fantastic movie with a lot of minute details which require you to really pay attention throughout the entire film (especially the interactions between the “guests”. The movie is definitely not for everyone, there’s a lot of layers to peel back and I can understand why the reviews here on iTunes vary so much

8. Bummer folks are not open to understanding the movie - Maybe a spoiler so will say spoiler alert. Seeing lots of folks that are staring this movie over the ending or the courses that are dished out. This movie is about classism. Somebody is getting back at those that do not consider how their position in society impacts others that aren’t of the same class (generally speaking about most of the guests). I have seen this movie on repeat and don’t believe this is a waste of a watch.

Bound in human flesh, inked in blood-and amazingly hard to pronounce-the ancient "Necronomicon" (Book of the Dead) unleashes unspeakable evil upon mankind in director Sam Raimi's (Spider-Man) outrageously hilarious sword-and-sorcery epic. Back to do battle with the hideous "Deadites," Bruce Campbell reprises his role from the Evil Dead series as Ash, the handsome, shotgun-toting, chainsaw-armed department store clerk from S-Mart's housewares division. Demonic forces time warp him-and his '73 Old...

1. So many times... - The effects are lousy, the acting is cheesy, the accents are inconsistent and the plot is horrible. With Bruce Campbell staring in this, it's still one of the greatest films of all time. I've seen this movie so many times that I actually wore out store bought VHS tapes of this movie. This movie defines the term cult classic.

2. Looks like you're in charge of two things right now... - Army of Darkness is one of the greatest movies ever made. Some of the best one liners in the history of cinema. Observe: "This...is my BOOMSTICK!" (After he gets his new metal hand)..."Groovy" "Well hello Mr. Fancy Pants...looks like you're in charge of two things right now...jack and s&$@...and jack left town." And the list goes on. I've been watching this since I was , and it never gets old. Introducing people to this fine piece of B-movie cinema never gets old. Bruce Campbell cemented his legacy. Watch it. You won't be disappointed.

3. More humor, more silliness... - Harry Potter - got nothin' on this guy - a time traveling slayer of zombies! Lots of good quotes, plenty of dark humor. The best of the three movies (Evil Dead, Evil Dead , and Army of Darkness). It's not often the third movie in a series outdoes the first two combined, but Army of Darkness outshines them all. What happens when an average Joe gets sent to the past with nothing more than his wits, a chainsaw, and a shotgun to battle zombie hordes ? The answer is here! A good rental movie for Halloween, beats the hell out of the great pumpkin - literally!

4. Bruce Campbell - Real title is Bruce Campbell vs The Army of Darkness. I can not tell you how many times I have heard people quote lines from this movie and haven't even seen it! This is my BOOM STICK came from somewhere, this movie. If you want to really get to the roots of some 's and even current humor you have to watch this. Completely different from the other two movies in the series, this is a masterwork of humor that will stand the test of time forever. Now where is my sword boy?

5. One of the coolest movies ever - No matter how bad or good I feel, this movie always keeps me going and thinking, how they pull off this movie. Traveling through time fighting the dead. This is a hilarious movie. The ending credits music is kind of nice too. This is one of those films that it doen't matter how bad the movie is, people still like it. Yes I like this movie, even with the cheap looking Special effects, sometimes the actors make the movie possible. More Action movies baby. Hey I wanted to buy Transformers and other bunch of movies itunes don't want to sell, this people in Itunes think I will live for ever. Perhaps one day one day I will come back from the dead to buy the movies I want to buy. Good luck everyone and enjoy the movies you can't buy. Where you expecting me to thanks itunes, maybe someday I will. And now more movies.

6. Originality Goes a Long Way - My girlfriend said it's too much a guy's movie and while it's nothing short of comical horror, I guess I might agree. This guy kicks as as he is the 'chosen one' sent to deliver the Necronomicon. Full of dark, imaginitive humor and a good degree of action, it's not to be taken seriously or you might miss the point.

7. This.....is my BOOMSTICK! - Bruce Campbell..............is AWESOME! I mean, he's like the Chuck Norris of horror icons! He can kick any monster's a__! The film is a sequel to the first Evil Deads [the second one was better than the first] that follow's Ash's mishaps in Mideval times. Bruce Campbell really does have some good one liners. "Give me some sugar, baby." "Well hello, Mr. Fancy Pants. You ain't leading but two things right now....Jack and s___! And Jack left town!" "Groovy" "Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun." "Hail to the King, Baby!" My favorite moment of this film was when he took after the deadite in the S-Mart with a 's Winchester with a loop lever [hmm....why do I get a feeling that's a Rifleman reference?]. Sure there are some silly things in this film ["Klatuu Barada Niktu" being used in this.....even though Gort isn't around to hear it], but other than that this movie is awesome! Is there any wonder why Dynamite Press did a comic series after that. If you want a fun action/horror film, then I suggest you check it out, it's groovy.

2. Absolutely Brilliant. - Shaun of the Dead may be my favorite zombie film/comedy of all time. Because, this film just oozes with clever dialogue and fast paced editing/cinematography that drives the tone of film. I could watch this movie over and over and still find something new. I'd buy this one ASAP.

3. Simon Pegg - Nick Frost Classic - Watched last night for the first time when I booked the Cornetto Trilogy….all three actually (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World's End). I'm not much of a zombie or horror movie fan, but this series is phenomenal. Great story, likable characters, good variety of humor, action and just plain fun. I cannot recommend this movie enough. I wish I had watched it sooner. The subsequent movies as I mentioned are also just as good. The World's End is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Darncool and darn funny :D

4. A Classic - This movie has built a reputation in the movie industry for being one of of the comedy classics of this generation. It is simply hilarious, its comedy is spot on and it is mixed with a healthy amount of action and horror. In the end the movie is all about Simon Pegg's fantastic humor and the way he contrasts with his best friend. It is simply the funniest action movie I know.

5. Waste of money and time - I was extremely disappointed at this movie. All the reviews by critics and customers gave it good reviews when it was not even worth watching. It was the worst zombie movie I have ever seen. I honestly wish I could have my ten dollars back. If you're looking for a good zombie movie, this one is definately not it. Probably in my bottom worst movie list ever.

1. Glimpses of M. Night’s Old Form? - The Visit is not a great horror thriller by any means, but compared to the last four to five outings we’ve gotten from M. Night Shyamalan, try make this look like The Godfather. Did we actually get some of the old M. Night back? We got some good acting and solid, intense moments? Great. Except the found footage style is too disorienting to really focus on the film. Other than that, we may welcome Shyamalan back with open arms very soon.

2. Typical horror film not like Paranormal Activity - The Visit is worth the visit to watch but right after i found out that M.Night Shyamalan directed the film i was shocked that people say this is his breakout return to direct and i was speckital why. The Visit wasn't good but still it had a uncertian tone some of it was scary, funny, hailriously bad or a found footage thriller the film didn't know what it wanted to be so i treated like a comedy instead of being scared because this is not the film to be scared about.

3. I’m Obsessed with this movie - This movie was absolutely amazing! I literally want to watch it again, even though I watched it yesterday............I LOVE IT , I LOVE IT , AND I LOVE IT. An amazing plot twist too! You know when you find something to good, funny, scary, or gross you have to share it with someone. I want everyone I know to watch it! This movie has the perfect amount of funny and scary.

4. This wasn’t on my radar until after Glass - I guess you either loved or hated this movie. It’s got about an equal number of stars as stars at this time. Personally, I’m glad I found this little gem, and it was well worth the $. rental. I’d watch it again. I didn’t see the twist coming, and I thought the kids were great actors, & the material the kids were given reflected popular culture at the time the film was made. I had teenagers during that time, and it made sense to me. I liked how the trauma the kids went through after their father left came out in layers throughout the movie. It is true to how real people process or fail to deal with abandonment. If you are looking for a straight up horror flick, skip this one. To me, it was a great film.

5. This movie has it all! - Who ever enjoys a movie that contains everything - fun, emotion, sympathetic moments and also creepy horror - you have just discovered a little jewel. Of course, on the other hand, if you expect a classical, exchangable "number -horror-movie", better keep away - you will be disappointed. I liked everything about it. And the young cast of the two silblings is extraordinary!
Tue, 22 Jan 2019 13:45:03 GMT
6. Low budget film with some fine performances - This is a ‘found footage’ film with first person perspective hiding behind their camera throughout the ‘visit’, tediously opens after one hour of dull and boring visual tensions that leaves the audience looking for an elixir of cure. In a word, ‘classicism’ went out the door with this Director and his ethnically confused vision of theatrical freedom which seems to border on two standards of deviations that do not give credence to exploitations of cinematic standards. One, a college experiment low budget film unleashed from Hollywood standards, and two, the hope this film is sold to Blumhouse Productions. Ed Oxenbould ‘raps’ it up well with his defining linguistic word soup - “their throwing jade’ into this movie.
Some jump scares – great performances - not scary at all – entertaining –No encore here Watch it once, shame on Shamalan, watch it twice, shame on you!
Stay out of the oven with this one, lest you will burn your $ away! ./

7. Loved it - This is great! The twist is predictable. I thought about a plot like this if I were to make a movie. But it made me cry, get scared, laugh. It has underlying lessons about family. For those of you commenting about the boy’s rapping, I think he’s cute wannabe rapper. I have a year old who tries to be cool like that so I can relate.
Thu, 02 Aug 2018 21:21:45 GMT
8. why is this even a movie - I am disturbed by the fact that this is even a movie. the only jumpscare I though was when they opened there door to see their "grandma" butt naked. this could be considered pornography. I mean seriously. Also, what is the grandfathers deal with wiping dirt diapers on children? Seeing the white boy rap made me want to stab myself with a dirty, infected, butterknife used to cut slippery butter. M. Night must be from the psychiatric hospital thier grandparents atteneded. The fact that M. Night must really be into Grandma's butt is quite disturbing. please save your money, brain cells, and dignity. DO NOT WATCH!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

1. A very challenging and intriguing movie… - While it strays from the nuances of the novel it is based on, Luca Guadagnino brings us into a very unique narrative and deftly continues to demonstrate his formidable control of direction and story. The acting is really the best aspect of this movie, and Taylor Russell is outstanding. She is just so natural and honest as a performer and I can’t wait to see more of her work in the future. Also, Timothee Chalamet and Mark Rylance truly inhabit the characters of Lee and Sully as well. Any if these characters could have veered into over the top hamminess if they were inhabited by lesser actors. Make no mistake, this is a very disturbing and raw movie and it is not for the squeamish but if you crave original and bold filmmaking and storytelling than this might be for you…

2. Gorgeous Middle American Cinema - Gory and beautiful, sweeping Americana. Great performances by Chalamet, Taylor Russell and Mark Rylance. Great score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Cool ’s vibe. A sumptuous feast for the senses. See It To Believe It. Kudos Luca Guadagnino Kudos! (And the Oscar goes to…)

3. Not what you expect… - This movie will make you flinch a couple times. It takes on opposite genres and does it in a way that’s very smooth and fitting. The whole thing is a metaphor for how addiction brings people together as well as tears them apart. More specifically, fetishism as addiction. Think about real life. If you’re into something out of the ordinary, it can be really hard to find someone you’re compatible with. What do you do when you finally find the person who makes you feel like you aren’t completely alone, and you both lose control of the situation? The movie does a perfect job of showcasing that and does not have a happy ending. I knew I loved the music throughout, but it wasn’t until the last song that I realized Nine Inch Nails actually does the entire score. You get to hear Trent Reznor sing an original that embodies our finale. “For a minute, just a minute, we made it feel like home.” The thesis of this movie is simple and classic, it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

1. Best Shyamalan movie in a long time! - This is the second movie in a really dumb trilogy but the best thing is that you don’t need to see the first movie to know what’s going on! It’s a completely different story with different characters and James McAvoy does an INCREDIBLE job with his performance! I love psychological thrillers and this one is definitely a great one!

2. Remarkable - I'm not sure why some people don't respond well to McAvoy's acting here. I would go so far as to call it a tour de force. It's a shame genre films get snubbed by the Academy. At the very least he should have been nominated for this role. This film is a bit of a departure from the type of movies I normally enjoy but the twist here, again, as with Unbreakable, makes the movie something other than it seems on your first time watching it. Also, as with Unbreakable, I feel like that twist would have made the movie more enjoyable having known it at the start of the story and woven into the narrative more. It makes this movie much more rewatchable for me once I understand what's going on in the world the movie takes place in. As always, Shyamalan doesn't disappoint in character building and ambiance.
Wed, 05 Jun 2019 14:22:11 GMT
3. A Wasted Opportunity - SPOLER ALERT. Though the high quality acting was consistent, the storytelling diminished into cheap thrills and then, in the final moment, an unsatisfying reference to one of Shyamalan's other movies. So, in lieu of an actual conclusion, we get "beast on the loose" news footage and a hokey B-movie "gotcha"! This alone would have been frustrating but the effective and disturbing portrayals of child abuse demanded something equal to the caliber of the imagery. I do not mean that we - the viewer - need to be left feeling warm and fuzzy. The conclusion can be uplifting, sad, tragic - just something that ties the story and actually concludes and respects the viewer. In place of anything satisfying, we get a glance to a police officer, a look of concern on the officer's face and ambiguity that I gather we’re supposed to accept as “interesting” or “clever and ambiguous”. In many ways, the problem is rooted in the silly idea that the “Beast” spared her because of her abuse. In other words, it wasn’t Casey’s intelligence and fight that allowed her to survive – it was the fact that she lost enough clothes for the “Beast” to see her body (and the marks). There is a feminist argument to make here, but I primarily mean my critique to be centered on bad craft. What made Sixth Sense so powerful was the dedication to character, story, and journey. In this, Shyamalan sets up character and story and then disregards them for makeup and special effects. There is a reason all of his work is compared to “Sixth Sense”. It was good.

Oscar®-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele reimagines the summer movie with Nope, an expansive pop epic of uncanny science fiction. 1. A standout in bad horror - This movie looked super interesting from the trailers. Boy, was I wrong. Dead end plot lines that make NO sense, the most annoying female character imaginable, etc. look up the youtube reviews first, lol. Painful attempt at being woke. At least the main character dude is cool, waste of his time honestly.

2. Lots of fun - I thought this movie was going to be some sort of racial oppression metaphor, so I didn’t watch it when it first came out because I have no interest in that. But then a couple months ago I saw a guy on a flight watching it in the seat ahead of me, and some of the visuals were so nice that it made me want to see the movie. Turns out it’s a lot of fun, and if it does have the racial stuff, it is subtle enough not to be too terribly annoying. Worth the watch.

3. Omg nope! - I love the ufo genre, pretty much any movies except musicals. I have loved peele’s other movies…but this one, a hard nope! The acting was fine, the initial story concept but good but then, that twist happens and I was like wth! You ruined the movie. It was like game of thrones final season ruined our the matrix part three ruined! This could’ve been set good…but it wasn’t. Now I just want my time back, you can even keep the money but the time, that’s forever gone on this whack ending to what was a good idea for a movie. I clearly do not recommend but you should revert to peeles other works because they were really good.

5. NOPE,NOPE,NOPE! - Do not, I repeat, do not waste hours of your life on possibly one of the most overrated, overhyped sci-fi movies of all time. Very boring with lots of plot dead ends. This movie will leave you very disappointed from start to finish. Only reason it’s rated R is from the repeated swearing from kiki Palmer. Story is very unoriginal. The best part of the movie was some tail off of the main plot that involved a monkey that literally had nothing to do with the movie at all. Spoiler alert, no aliens at all, just a big flying thing that looks like a flying saucer/hot air balloon. Awful! Rotten once again gives a horrible movie a high rating. The movie studios must pay rotten for these scores. Reverse the score which would be a % and that’s a more accurate rating.

6. Could Have Been Much Better - This should have been at least a four star film. But for the role of the main characters sister it would have been. Every scene with her in it only detracted from the story by entering vile life choices by her. She ruined the film in my book. I am happy I waited till the film was reduced to $., else I would have felt even more cheated out of my entertainment budget allocation. I suggest you wait until it streams somewhere for free.

7. Took Me a Minute and Then I Loved It - check to do whatever he wants to do. Good. He’s a very confident filmmaker. I want him to keep making films. But…this particular film? It’s, uh, well there is no shortage of individually cool ideas. MORE THOUGHTS THIS MORNING I woke up thinking about this film. The thing is the more I think about it the more I like it. I’m not sure that all the individually cool ideas totally come together. They work on their own, that’s not even a question. Do they work together? On one hand, they all work to underscore the theme of the film. On the other hand, they don’t come together in the way they do in like, say Get Out. That being said, maybe this is a flaw in my thinking. Maybe they don’t need to come together in the way that I expect. The presumed untidiness of the film resembles life
more than it does a textbook example of screenplay. I think Peele is more of a contemporary of Christopher Nolan than the others he is he is frequently compared. Both of them understand what will evoke an emotional response from an audience. They both have natural cinematic intuition for what looks good on screen. At the same time both are confident enough in their storytelling that they are willing play fast and loose with how they tell their stories. Well, look at that, I do now know. I like this film.

8. Homage to ’s Movies - This might be my favorite Peele movie so far. It is such a wink to many movies of the ’s, especially one that if I mentioned it would be a total spoiler (it’s not Close Encounter of the rd Kind, but movie I’m talking about is the granddaddy of blockbusters). This is a movie that in the end is about spectacle while being a spectacle itself. Don’t get the reviews about ‘not understanding’ the movie. While the movie is loaded with symbolism and metaphors, the plot is pretty straightforward. It almost feels like this movie is being review bombed.

1. Should’ve Been Given An R Rating Instead Of A PG- Rating - Even though some of the humor in “Bros” won’t exactly age well due to its R rating because of a few mean spirited characters (particularly Billy Eichner’s character Bobby Lieber), among some other things, it’s still a little bit better than what’s on display in this awful movie known as “Prey For The Devil”. Honestly, this horrible horror movie should’ve been an R rating instead of a PG- because of not only the name but also the material itself, especially with young children involved. If there are any plans to make a sequel or multiple sequels to “Prey For The Devil”, somebody’s gotta make a petition to permanently cancel any possible sequels to this movie; maybe give them R ratings to avoid letting children watch them, too. In short, I hate “ Prey For The Devil”.

1. It was better as a short film - This movie was terribly boring. As a horror film I thought it was going to be like those horror movies that were ripped off from Japan where there is no escaping this demon plague. But it really just seems to follow a core character around and just wasn’t very fulfilling as it progressed. Glad I streamed it first because I would have been unhappy buying it.

2. Awesome movie! - I’m this age of awful horror (terrifier, conjuring) a gem shines through. Though this movie is not terribly original it’s definitely a must watch if you are a horror fan. The lead actor is amazing and there are truly some decent scares in the movie. Looking forward to this director’s next project!

3. Below average - If the writer had made this movie into a detective story instead, I think it would’ve been a really enjoyable movie. I wish I could get my money back but I can’t. I’m worried for Hollywood, I sincerely am, they haven’t made a successful movie in a long time. What’s happening? What happened to that magic they used to have? I think they need better writers and to refocus their energy towards substance.

4. it works - didn’t have high expectations, but this did surprise me…I think the actress really being convincing made the movie. it was also really interesting to find the short film this is based on…and how it actually intertwined with the begging. I’ll probably give it another watch again at some point

5. Good stuff. - I went into it with only having seen the ads of the woman smiling back when it was in theaters. No trailers, no spoilers. Was glad I did. Something about this one got me just right. I’ve watched it several times now, and I think Sosie Bacon should win (or at least be nominated) an award for her acting ability. She’s very believable as she’s living her nightmare, and it pulls you in. For a phycological thriller with a decent story and some good scares, two thumbs up here.

6. Fantastic - Yet another awesome new horror movie. This and Barbarian are some of the best horror films I’ve seen in a long time. This movie has strong The Ring vibes, and the way it’s filmed and the music is very unique. Scares come when you least expect them, and the overall vibe from the film is terrifying. Way to go!

7. Really scary and entertaining - People complaining about insensitivity to mental Illness need to get a grip , no need to get panties in a bunch - this is a movie about an evil entity that causes hallucinations so ppl need to stop being so dramatic and just enjoy the scary movie. Definitely one of the best of the year along with Barbarian. Good watch check it out on paramount plus :)

8. The Best Horror Movie of - has been an absolute banner year for the Horror genre, and Parker Finn’s exceptionally frightening movie SMILE is, imho, the best of the year. Disturbing, smart, well acted and beautifully directed and shot, SMILE is a movie you will be recommending to anyone who will listen once you watch it. I was so impressed by this debut film and I, for one, cannot wait to see what Parker Finn does next…

1. BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIMES!!! - I watched this movie for the first time with my best friends and have been obsessed with it ever since! No Caps!!! This is such an inspiring movie and all of the actors/actresses have done a great job with it! Even though I have only seen it twice I would still give it this title... I can’t wait to watch it again tonight with my family!

2. BEAUTIFUL!! Great story - The characters and cast are fantastic!
The plot is definitely thrilling, and the way it is filmed is definitely beautiful. No, it isn’t a horror film, but you still get the suspenseful side mixed in. Although it’s a good movie, I don’t suggest it to a “picky” movie watcher (Someone genre limited). It is wonderfully done, and by far, one of my favorites.

3. Good - This was a vey original movie. Very, very unique. Great thriller with an ending that you wouldnt suspect in a million years. I didnt think the ending was bad, I thought it was profoundly original and interesting. Dont listen to the debbie downers.
The downside is that once you know the ending, like many of his movies, you just cannot watch it again because it doesnt have the same effect.
So while I really liked this one, I wont be adding it to my library.
You should definitely see it though if you havent. Rent it and enjoy.

4. Fantastic - This is a beautiful, magical movie that has the ability to keep you on edge. The ending is VERY thought-provoking, especially with how it skillfully blends into reality and makes everything else that happened look real and realistic while still allowing it to keep its magical elements. James Newton Howard's score is sublime and puts the thriller AND magical elements on steroids all while blending everything very very well. A must-see and a must-own!

5. Wow - This movie is brilliant. Young people should not watch this movie because they don't understand it. It's not a horror movie, it's a movie about ordinary people who are fed up with the violent imperfect world that's all about money and power and they want to reverse it and live their lives in peace. We really should have more villages in this world to live in peace, love and happiness. Just like God intended. It's more about what one person will sacrifice for true love. His best movie so far, and I liked them all.

6. God Probably Likes This!! - This movie was made excellently! The twist, the story-line... I approve that they made the color "red" the bad color. I'm guessing they made it that piticular color because it's the color of blood. Though they never told us what Luches's color was, I think this was the best movie I have seen ever!

7. Beautifully executed movie - This mesmerizing story unfolds to reveal the one true purpose of their existence. Inspiring, beautifully filmed with an amazing soundtrack that creates the feel and emotion throughout the story. This movie was well cast, as characters are believable and William Hurts acting is especially good, not to mention the amazing blind girl character, Bryce Howard, I believe she's Ron Howard's daughter. I rank this to be one of MNS best films. A true original. I also like the cameo he did in this movie. He seems to do that in all of his films.

8. some hate it some love it - I loved this movie,it was dark the whole bump noise in the woods and the plot then the ending. Some people hate it i really liked it . I live by the woods and know what its like to walk in the woods at night .Some how he captured the feeling of walking in the woods at night. YOU will be scared but really what you think is out there is not out there.

Trapped in an elevator high above Philadelphia, five people discover that the Devil is among them – and no one can escape their fate. This chilling, supernatural thriller from M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs) will keep you on the edge of your seat all the way to a heart-stopping ending with a truly wicked twist.

1. AMAZING - Beleive it or not, this is one of the best horror films I have ever seen. Instead of having some ghosts or something, you are left to wonder WHO it is that is being possesed. You are always thinking it is someone, and then that someone gets killed. Keeps you on your toes. Horror is like the only genre I watch and I usually have to watch them alone because my friends are all too scared. It usually doesn't bother me, since I am not scared eisily. This movie made me jump once or twice. Thats how good it is. I reccomend this to EVERYONE into horror or even thriller movies.

2. Laughable until boredom. - The movie looks good and the acting isn’t bad but the writing is absolutely awful in this flick. Lines like “When you drop your toast jelly side down, the devil is near” from the overly religious maintenance guy who becomes an expert on the situation are just way too far out there. Cool concept on trapping people together, poor delivery. Sometimes it is better to sit on an idea rather than purge all the crap in your head onto the screen.

3. Disappointment - This really did have some potential, but by adding a supernatural element, making a good chunk of the characters annoying jerks, and a dumb twist ending that could only come from M. Night himself (who DID NOT direct this, only produced and created the story), it just makes the whole thing a silly stupid mess. My personal favorite scene is when a superstitious security guard tosses a piece of toast into the air, and claims that the devil is near because the toast landed jelly side down. That should give you a good idea about the quality of this film.

4. Better than you think - This movie is outstanding. As I watched the trailer, it seemed like nothing special to other horror movies. I watched this on my TV in high defintion and this movie was great. It was a little slow in certain points, but other than that this movie had me on my feet. Although it isn't a movie that will make you want to sleep with the lights on for the rest of your life, it's still pretty scary.
It depends on what your looking for. If your looking for ear-screeching horror that will scare you forever, go to Insidious. If your just looking for a horror movie with a well put together story plot, THIS IS YOUR MOVIE!!

5. This simple yet great movie will have you glued trust me.

6. Pretty Good - I have to say, I think this is one of Shamylans better movies. Keep in mind everyone is always asking why every movie is the same, finally a director come a does the unexpected and het gets pounded. He's' had some stinkers but this is good and has a Kurosawa morality twist at the end thats great.
Wed, 25 Sep 2013 03:25:54 GMT
7. Shyamalan has done good with this, but he still isn't in the clear - This film was better than most of the stuff he has put out in recent years, it does a good job of building tension in basically using one setting. The "twist" will definitely come from left field and will most certainly surprise you, but this film is all about tension, which it has in spades. Worth a rent.

8. twists and turns - this movie kept you wondering till the very end. it was a decent film and if you have the money i would rent it. it wouldnt be the same the second time because you would all ready know who the killer is. kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk 1. lol legit joke - Those TYE west movies are trash no hate at all just not entertaining nor a near crack at entertainment thank god for apple refunds!!! Those movies are like if “leatherface” mated with one of them hills have eyes peeps or wrong turn had to give a star to rate otherwise. Goose-egg!!!!!

2. A Modern Classic - One of the best films I’ve seen in a long time. A throwback to the films of the Golden Age of Hollywood, mixed with suspense/horror. There were some moments that made me feel like I was watching a f&@$d up ‘Wizard of Oz’, which is a testament to the brilliance of director Ti West. Mia Goth should be nominated for an Oscar for her performance.
Mon, 14 Nov 2022 17:14:12 GMT
3. Mediocre director - Ti West is mediocre. I gave this movie stars because of Mia goth. She’s easily one of my favorite stars. Her performance seemed authentic and gave me chills. Don’t be mistaken, she saved this movie. Without mia, this movie would have been a flop, in my opinion. I really hope Mia can get larger roles and join the conversation for an Oscar. The last scene of this movie alone was well acted.
Mon, 31 Oct 2022 19:59:14 GMT
4. It’s ok, Mia kills it - Although Ti West is a only a mediocre director that uses cheap, recycled tricks, the movie is actually pretty enjoyable because Mia Goth is superb with her performance. She rescues Ti West yet again. Without Mia, Ti is just a pretentious hipster with a nice camera and a decent budget. You can tell by the way he films his movies that he’s arrogant, but somehow it ends up working. I really liked X because the cast was great, especially Mia, and Pearl is just as good for the same reason. Mia. She really does have the X factor her characters so badly want in this series. I only hope she gets brighter, more popular roles than that of a Ti West film.

5. Incredible - This movie is what I want to see in a horror movie. The deep, dark origin story of Pearl is disturbing, and tragic. The movie is perfectly directed. Mia Goth truly deserves an Oscar for her performance. The way she brings this character to life is a sight to behold. Pearl is an instant horror classic.
Sat, 01 Oct 2022 23:46:06 GMT
6. Mia Goth kills it - Truly inspired choice turning Dorothy from Wizard of Oz into a properly deranged slasher. Would’ve been a complete failure without Mia Goth’s outstanding performance. It can be a little cheesy but brings it when it needs to. A bunch of nice touches in editing and even shot composition give it an early th century flair, but done with a st century budget. Really enjoyed, felt really unique, Mia Goth is a horror queen.

1. Tedious - I really enjoyed the first Terrifier, it was an intensely gory and mean spirited ride that worked pretty well. I’m not sure why the sequel has such a high score on rotten tomatoes though. No slasher movie should be and a half hours and whatever story they were trying to come up with was totally ridiculous. The sequel ramps up the sadistic gore and misogyny that just about bordered on too much in the first one and it results in tedious overlong snuff-like murder scenes. The scenes are so over the top that at first they are sickening and then they sort of become mind numbingly disgusting and kind of boring. One insanely misogynistic scene involving a young girl who has her bones broken, her back carved open, a scalping, and then salt and bleach thrown all over her bleeding wounds is so vile that I was sort of just wondered what is wrong with whoever directed this and what was wrong with me for watching it. I love some good gore effects and found the sheer nastiness sort of fascinating in a sick way, but I did not need to see a mangled and tortured corpse of a young girl crying out for her mother as she STILL would not die. The violence is supposed to be over the top and comedic but it really just felt icky and excessive in a bad way. The characters aren’t very memorable and there is almost a total lack of suspense, so it just turns into a two and a half hour gore fest that is an overrated slasher flick. Not really looking forward to another entry after this one.

2. Art the clown is back - I honestly loved the second part better than the first.
It is genuinely rare for the film series to come up with a much more interesting storyline than the original one to keep on tempting the audience and encouraging them on following the saga which “The Terrifier” obviously made a dead sure come back! I hope there is a part III coming up.
Sun, 08 Jan 2023 16:15:41 GMT
3. OMG! “ART THE EFFIN’ CLOWN” IS BAAAACK!!! - I don’t even know where to begin… This movie is NOT for the faint of heart, or if you are a squeamish person. I have never seen SO MUCH BLOOD GUTS AND GORE in any other movie besides the evil dead. This movie is beyond over-the-top, outrageous silly and absolutely insane. This is definitely a great follow up to the first film which blindly came out of nowhere… But beware as this is a very long movie. Every time I thought the movie was ending he just kept going on and on and on but this is definitely a fun thrill ride for anybody looking to have mindless, bloody gory entertainment for the night I found myself giggling with insane delight because it’s so outrageous… Enjoy
Sat, 07 Jan 2023 04:46:22 GMT
4. Improvement over the original - Despite this movie being a very acquired taste, this sequel is much better than the original. It has an actual story, some decent acting, and characters that feel like characters. This movie is very disturbing though. Seeing the things Art the Clown does to the human body is quite shocking and disturbing and terrifying.
Mon, 26 Dec 2022 23:07:58 GMT
5. Great and Funny? - The movie is so over the top that it’s actually a funny. The soundtrack is great and considering this movie costs only K to make, it’s a masterpiece in horror. The first movie is more Halloweenish with tension. This movie is just great and so gruesome and that it’s ridiculous and humorous. Don’t take it too seriously. It’s only a movie.
Mon, 26 Dec 2022 21:55:01 GMT
6. The best - If you thought the first one was good wow this one was on another level. Lots of gore. This movie lives up to the hype of people been saying about it. It's so gruesome and knarly. Honestly haven't had a movie make me yell in disgust and look away but at the same time keep watching because the make up and everything is really good. Art the Clown is ruthless and doesn't ever hold back. Never speaks either but yet you know what he's saying.
Thu, 15 Dec 2022 05:36:29 GMT
7. Terrible - The acting in this movie was terrible, it looked like the producers spent all the money on gore and then picked people off the street to act in their movie. The plot went off the rails towards the end and didn’t make any sense. I would not recommend wasting hours of your life watching this.
Tue, 22 Nov 2022 00:10:08 GMT
8. Disappointing. Full of filler. More gore than terror. - This was very disappointing when compared to the original. The movie is over hours, and it could easily be cut down to .. There is a ten minute children song in it. There was a lot of gore, but they linger on it way too much to the point it loses its impact and just gets boring. Some parts were good, but there were way too many points were we just said GET ON WITH IT. In summary, take the last seconds of the last movie (the weakest part) and draw that out for hours. That is this movie. Wait till it is free AND on a demand service so you can fast forward.

1. Really nice done! - I'm a horror bound, and unfortunately, most of today’s entries are formulaic, boring, and unsatisfying. Not this one! This was a blind purchase that thankfully did not disappoint! Its vibe is along the lines of The Autopsy of Jane Doe and, The Vigil. Solid horror entry, enjoyable. Looking forward to repeat viewings

1. Who Is the Monster? - Love when horror movies are about more than just blood and gore. Son is afflicted with a condition, but it's the mom who does the terrible things to save him. So who is the monster? And would you be willing to do these things to save someone you love? However you answer the question, doesn't that make you a monster either way? Didn't really expect a thought-provoking film hitting on different themes on family, redemption, love, addiction, etc. But if you're into elevated horror, this one delivers.

1. Among the best of the worst - The Happening is beset with unintended conflict: Fine actors turn in unbelivably akward performances. A captivating premis blows away in the wind. Unintended comedy gooses pathos and the scrip mimics wet bathroom tissue. Yes, the magnitude of misfortune belies anything less that genuine talent.

2. Well...That Happened - If The Lady In The Water was the warning sign, then The Happening is the beginning of the end for M. Night Shyamalan. An awful script, horrible acting and a poorly executed concept mark the opening to an unofficial trilogy—The Fall of Night. But I suppose one upside of this is that....it is absolutely hilarious. The funniest fail of a movie you will ever see. I totally recommend it if you are looking for a laugh. /

3. I’m confused... - While Lady in the Water isn’t horrible, you think THAT film is better than this? The only thing wrong with The Happening is cringe acting, which, is kind of funny. The plot was amazing! But, Lady in the Water is a MESS. The plot was messed up, and Bryce’s character was boring. Yes, it was a mysterious and spiritual movie, but you got to admit, it was very strange. At least The Happening was built on solid ground.

4. What a horrible movie don't watch it - Okay..... The Happening was painful more painful then after earth. M. Night Shamaylan needs to quit directing movies because he is setting the bar lower, lower and lower. The Happening is confusing and poorly acted in it's own atomsphere. The characters in the movie even with Mark Wahlberg who is terrible in this film are barley unlikable. Don't watch this it's the worst movies ever made.

5. Hilarious - Oh don't get me wrong, it's a HORRIBLE movie. But if you know going in to look at it as a comedy, it's actually hilarious. The acting, writing, and story are SO bad, it's a movie you have to see to believe. It's actually hard to comprehend that a human made this. A great "so bad it's good" movie.

6. It was kinda confusing but great - I feel like this movie was very confusing but great because I like the acting the people and all that stuff also it’s very interesting maybe if it was quite not that confusing I’d give it a but it still is fine but it’s not rated R for violent and disturbing images it’s for launguage too at some point at the movie and maybe they can make a remake if they want! Great but confusing

7. good movie bad reviews unwarranted - I don’t know what this director did to make everyone angry with him and give his movies such bad reviews but this movie is actually good and good entertainment. its entertainment people not Lord of the rings. and given all of the low imagination and lack of creativity that is coming out of hollywood, this is actually an interesting story. it seems that storytelling has taken a backseat to special effect and so on. this is not masterpiece theatre but just plain old storytelling and its very entertaining. I think folks have become too accustomed to the same stories being told over and over again. I think folks find it hard to accept a different way of storytelling. Folks should see this movie. its entertaining.

8. Do you want to see the worst movie in history? - Unless your planning on a spectacular comedy you might be disappointed. Just pure brilliance of Em Night Shumalong to go and throw this brilliant work of comedy genius together. Taking in Marky Mark who can't act beyond the surprised looked character he always plays and the blue eyed brunette that's in some commercials and seems to be the trend of yesterday was pure genius. I absolutely love this comedy with its ridiculousness close up moments of looking up Wahlberg's nostrils or the soldier cursing the words "Cheese and Crackers" in a time of dyer consequence. Keep em coming Em Night Shermalong.

1. How do people enjoy this movie?!? - It is so bad, I want to give you a zero. But that’s not possible, so I give you a one. Honestly, this movie had a weak plot and made no sense. It was boring, hard to follow, and the entire romance was more so a case of Stockholm Syndrome than a love story. I would not recommend this movie to anyone.

2. Yass - Love it totally recommend it. It’s just as good as Twilight maybe better definitely recommend it to any Twilight fan it’s like the Zombie version. Just saw it and fell in love with it almost right away Nicholas Hoult is super charming and a great R. Next thing I’m gonna do is read the books so look for my review about that.

3. One Star Raters Are Annoying. - Seriously....it's Romeo and Juliet. Duh. Julie, R. Her family disapproves-wants to kill his. His "family", M for Mercutio, disapproves, tells R she's for eating. They have a balcony scene. Her homie...Nora, who wants to be a Nurse (name in R&J is "the nurse"), catches them but helps him. He almost commits suicide for her, and both families wind up reconciled. If you can't understand the nature behind this flick, maybe you shouldn't bother trying to watch ANYTHING that states in the OVERVIEW that it's an adaptation. Idiots.

4. Epic - /
I don't write reviews usually but this was amazing. Hilarious, exciting but generally shied away from gore, the romance aspect wasn't rushed. Seeing inside R's head added humor. I had high hopes for this movie and they were exceeded. Although I liked both movies, this movie is not really like twilight in my opinion better. It was funnier and the girl is pretty kick-butt (not at all the helpless Bella character). I will admit that the movie is a bit unrealistic even in zombie terms mainly because the fact that Julie has little trouble with the fact that R has actually eaten people and even someone she loved). However this movie was amazing and even uplifting- something I was definitely not expecting. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a tasteful combination of humor action and a dash of romance.

5. A must see movie - This movie is by far so sweet. When i first saw it i thought it was going to be a horror movie. It wasn't. More than likely the scariest part was when R was eatting the guy's brains. But that was it! If you are a kid under i suggest first watching it with a parent or adult guardian and the. If you think its okay you can watch it alone. I really love this movie

6. Surprisingly Awesome - Firstly, I'd like to say that I am usually bored to tears at the idea of watching a movie twice-- not this one. I wasn't halfway through when I decided I wanted to watch it again. The characters are endearing and relatable. The suspense is tantalizing. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I am not a fan of zombie shows/ comics/ media either, but I still loved it. I highly recommend Warm Bodies to anyone who reads this!

7. A wonderful surprise - I was intrigued by the trailers but since I'm not a huge zombie fan I was hesitant to spend money on what seemed to be a zombie movie. Boy was I wrong! This movie is fantastic! Yes, it has zombies but they are not your typical undead corpses and the gore is kept to a bare minimum. Nicholas Hoult is remarkable as R, the main character who is tired of his dead-end existence. When he meets (and falls in love with) the human girl, Julie, everything changes, not only for them but for everyone around them, both human and zombie. Most of R's dialogue is done as a voice-over that is both truly hilarious and insightful. His witty observations about zombie life are worth the price. And Rob Corddry as his best friend, M, is the funniest zombie ever. The soundtrack is awesome. The songs by Guns N Roses, Bob Dylan, Bon Iver, Delta Spirit, and The National are integrated so perfectly into the movie, it would almost seem they were written for those particular scenes. The music stays with you long after the movie is over. Warm Bodies is more of a romantic comedy than a horror or action flick but it is definitely worth seeing. You won't be disappointed. My only regret is not buying it sooner.

Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale) is a Wall Street yuppie, obsessed with success, status and style, with a stunning fiancée (Reese Witherspoon). He is also a psychotic killer who rapes, murders and dismembers both strangers and acquaintances without provocation or purpose. Based on the controversial novel, the film offers a sharp satire of the dark side of yuppie culture in the '80s, while setting forth a vision that is both terrifying and chilling.

1. Arrogantly Obnoxious and Hilarious. - Straight from the opening scene, its pretentiousness is somehow adorable. Bale’s best performance, and arguably made his career. So many quotable lines. This is NOT a horror movie, as it’s categorized. It’s a dark comedy, and maybe one of the best dark comedies ever made. Top movies all-time. The book, however, is a different animal. Not altogether terrible, but a much different tone. I would argue its subtle message (gross elitism, materialism, entitlement) is as valid today as ever. But it’s not preachy or even necessarily intending to really make that point. The ambiguity at the end could be the only real critique I might have, but I’m not sure having any solid closure would have made it any better. It’s pretty flawless, top to bottom.

2. I put this film as. - Ohhh somewhere below mm. But below Silence of The Sheep. Yet the problem with it has been that all psychotics aren’t homeless bums. Majority are respected, dignified, family members and drunk with the power that others give them via awards and praise. John Wayne Gacy. Nuff said.

3. Gotta return the videotapes! - American Psycho is the perfect swtich from the classic Vampire's Kiss which starred Nicolas Cage. American Psycho takes the goolish take from Vampire's Kiss and makes into a stylish crazy loothed genre that follows obessed killer Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale) who is a wall street captain and slowy descents into madness and starts to kill innocent woman and also Paul Allen (Jared Leto) his best friend. Christian Bale's performence is creepy and striking but everytime he descents into madness it's hailrious in a good way. Vampire's Kiss is still a crazy wild ride but American Psycho remains a classic and without a doubt Christian Bale even before he became the Cape Crusader he is still wonderful and creepy at the same time.

4. Dark satire - Bloody and disturbing but also darkly hilarious. Bale is impressive and completely committed to the role. It is a trip through the eyes of a disturbed person but also a satire of obsession with status, materialism and the superficial. But it’s not for everyone and while well made the only actually entertaining moments are derived solely from Bale’s more animated and absurdly bizarre moments.

5. One of the most genius satires ever to be put to celluloid... - This movie is an absolute masterpiece in so many ways. It is an absolutely brilliant satire of late 's yuppie culture - one that is not only deeply disturbing, but also darkly hilarious, uncommonly perceptive, has an impeccable eye for detail, contains flawless acting (particularly from Christian Bale, who is a revelation here), and is imminently quotable ("I have to return some video tapes", "Because I...just...want...to fit in..", etc...). It also expertly depicts the study of a man who is deluded and clearly losing his grasp on reality. I also loved how it portrayed the young 's Wall Street set as so generically interchangeable that both they they themselves and the cops that later got involved with this group had trouble telling many of them apart. There is so much more that I could praise about this film, but I'll run out of space. I'll just advice you this: Pay not attention to the and star reviewers. Those calling it "boring" (those parts are essential to highlight the superficial banality of Bateman and Co's world) or who claim to not understand it I feel aren't meant to be the film's intended audience in the first place. The only legitamite reason I can think to steer clear is if you are severely offended by violence against women (and I am a female). It is an excellent adaptation of the book and an excellent film. I'd call it pretty close to perfection...kinda like the Sea Urchin Cerviche at Dorsia...

6. do you really need my bucks that bad! - come on guys that was awful. don't sell the unrated version as if it is the "un rated" version. that was deeply censored way worse than than book, in an unintended way. i love iTunes; don't make me lose faith. don't try to seem like you are selling something closer to the book, like in this case.

7. american psycho - to be human, or not be human? - it's just one of those films unlike any other .. the year, , manhattan island, new york, there walks a demon in a yuppie's skin, replete with 'valentino couture' suits, to blend in on wall street, 'jean paul gaultier' overnight bags for hiding bodies and 'oliver peoples' glasses so the detective mistakes you for the next guy .. Patrick Bateman speaks as if he's reading the cool 'quote' of the day in every sentence, choosing from a billboard of quotes in his head, everything out of his mouth is some current phrase and colloquialism of only the coolest, hippest regard .. it's this farce within which the 'american psycho' can communicate with 'real' people .. his performance is almost self-aware in a way, not quite breaking the fourth wall, but i feel in on the joke .. it's when Bale starts speaking about music while listening to it, that some of the most memorable parts of the movie derive, the balance between music, narration, and death, perfectly balanced .. Bateman gives a second-by-second review of the song or album, with lush, spot on descriptions rambling about production values and artistic idiosyncrasies .. Bateman's always under cover, speaking of fashion and manners and other people's itinerary's like he's a goddamn library of all things s, and you know what? it works. it works so well that this is one of the most haunting portraits of america and her people because by watching this film, you gaze upon the american dream, and wonder of the cost, because maybe this really isn't as metaphorical as it seems, because something feels quite immediate about the reflection of an america not too far off ..

8. one heck of a movie. - this was the first slasher movie i've ever seen. it was nuts! the ending confused me. but it was all good. but the part where he looks at the screen and it says feed me the stray cat. i found that funny. who ever reads this buy it. its really good. and be sure to buy these other great horror movies on i-tunes: the thing (), the thing (), resident evil, ailen, aliens, and sleepy hollow. hope you enjoy these.

At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined. 1. Entertaining But Not Exciting - The movie had potential at first but slowly became more and more unrealistic. Seemed a little over the top and in some ways poorly written. Did not hold my interest. I’m a fan of Jordan Peele but this movie’s only purpose seemed to be liberals forcing an extreme racism ideology down the audience’s throat and making every white person look like the devil. I just wanted a good thriller so I was a little disappointed.

2. Double standards - I found this to be a really interesting movie due to the plot twist. It’s just crazy how some white viewers are unpleased with Peel’s movies cause he puts a spin on traditional racism. Blacks didn’t complain about “Django” or “The hateful ” we set back and enjoyed the craft. We understood the stereotype and accepted the movie for its intended purpose. Ole well I guess a movie projecting racism is only good if the idea of racism stays traditional. SMH

3. Yerrr Outta Here! - I hate this type of movie and this movie in particular, “Get Out”. I will explain, of course. This is the worst type/genre of movies – if promises something that never delivers, but what it does deliver is gruesome murder ad nauseum. The script has so many tone-deaf dialogues and actions that the story falls apart again and again after almost every scene. It bludgeons us with racism and stale history lessons of Uncle Tom mentality in contemporary life. It perpetuaes the ridiculous undercurrent of “systemic racism” that is a punch line nowadays. In fact, what a good way to describe “Get Out” in one word: joke. It makes us, the viewer, the butt of the joke. Halfway through, you scream at us, “Ha ha ha! Gotcha! Get Out-a here!” In one moment, one second, with the losing of the car keys, it’s like you rip off a band-aid and realize your wound is gangrenous, and you need to “Get Out” to a hospital, stat. Everything turns evil; catatonic; miserable; torturous; insane; and inane.

4. Disturbing, racist and ridiculous. Which is why it was good. - Clearly someone has lost their forsaken mind! Well Giving Get Out credit for being extremely bizarre. The MTV Award and now Oscar juggernaut got our attention. Now after watching it again I did like this more! Allison Williams as Rose Armitage was awestruck Evil at it’s mostly didn’t see it coming motif! The Armitage family as a cult Experimentation with Black People was totally push button madness! I did like this movie more than when I first created this ITunes review! Get Out and check it out!

5. Ugh - So sad that this idiotic mishmash of useless folly from a mediocre mind should have garnered any acclaim as a 'top' movie of any decade, or lay claim to reperesenting any legitimate iconic racial concepts. Neither 'trying' nor 'pretending' necessarily constitute 'succeeding', which is at least one thing that the movie, and the arc of its characters, does demonstrate.

6. Great idea - Jordan Peele definitely has an amazing creative mind. The only issue with his movies is the amount of cliches in them. “Get Out” rolls along pretty good and it’s very intriguing, but towards the end it becomes a total mess full of “convenient” situations. This is a great movie that could have been amazing. I believe Jordan Peele will make many more interesting movies.
Fri, 24 Jul 2020 14:04:04 GMT
7. Not Just a Horror Movie A Brilliant comedy mixed with horror - Get Out is not a scary movie I think Jordan Peele is awesome at directing such a brilliant and smart horror comedy that dosen't rely on scares at all it's more like a sitcom which is impressive and funny with lots of great acting and solid tension going around this is true horror right here.
Thu, 19 Mar 2020 02:19:29 GMT
8. It's OK - It was obvious to me while watching this that the director is a Twilight Zone fan. The movie plays more like a modern TZ episode than a movie. The premise is just OK, but in our modern ultra-PC world not calling it a masterpiece will probably get you banished from the precious social media. It's something that I watched once and never have to see again. I've seen the director being marketed as a "horror master" on TV after the success of this movie - when he makes about more excellent horror movies, you can assign him that title. Until then, he better get to work.

Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder and Anthony Hopkins star in director Francis Ford Coppola's visually stunning, passionately seductive version of the classic Dracula legend. In Bram Stoker's Dracula, Coppola returns to the original source of the Dracula myth, and from that gothic romance, he creates a modern masterpiece. Gary Oldman's metamorphosis as Dracula who grows from old to young, from man to beast is nothing short of amazing. Winona Ryder brings equal intensity to the role of a young beauty who...

1. Beautiful production, weak narrative - Although it betrays it’s spatial limitations and veers on inducing claustrophobia at times, Coppola’s ambition to create the film entirely on sets yields some beautiful production designs. He wanted to film black backgrounds and instead focus on ornate costume design and that explains the meticulous attention to wardrobe as well. Unfortunately the story is driven by an unconvincing doomed love story populated with mostly not very compelling characters. The biggest sin is that it isn’t remotely scary. Dracula is flamboyant here but not at all menacing. He’s a tragic romantic in this interpretation which ironically otherwise follows the events of the novel more closely than any other adaptation. But fundamentally changing the character motivation makes the finished product fairly pretentious, devoid of urgency and drenched in overwrought melodrama when it should be desperate and intense. Still the acting is committed and the memorable score goes a long way to create atmosphere. The Annie Lennox song is a good addition as well. There isn’t a two and a half star option so I’ll round it up to three.

2. My LOVE for this movie NEVER DIES - I’ve watched this on DVD, Blu-ray, satellite TV, VHS in & now I own it in digital format. I wish I could’ve seen it when it was first released in theaters, I was only years old at the time :( I really love the production value that was put into this film, minus the portrayal of Harker. Gary Oldman’s Dracula gives me an insight of a man sworn to evil, because his love for a woman has caused him so much pain that he rips any shred of humanity left in him. Also, the haunting composition by Wojciech Kilar is my favorite film score of ALL TIME. I wish the music from the climax of this film was included in the soundtrack. I admire Coppola’s use of original movie tricks for this film

3. I too read the book... - Gary Oldman and Anthony Hopkins...what else do you need to know??? Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder were poor choices as co-stars having to work against two of the finest actors alive. Keanu was too young and unskilled as an actor and the two masters couldn't help but steal every scene. Winona just didn't pass the suspension of credibility test as a young English woman and the chemistry between her and Reeves simply didn't exist from the start. But she did present the script to Coppola so what else could he do?

4. The Best Gothic Romance Horror Film Ever Made - Coppola, Oldman, Ryder, and Hopkins all turn in some of their best work. The costumes, make up, special effects, sets, lighting, atmosphere, and amazing score all make up a one of a kind cinematic experience. Gary Oldman is Dracula, following the book while adding elements of romance and Vlad. This is the BEST version of Dracula ever!!

5. Worthy of the time for me to write a review - I read the original Dracula by Bram Stoker months ago and I was so fascinated by it, especially odd for someone with as short an attention span as me, and finished this novel in just under weeks, reading everyday and night nonstop, it was such a lovely classic, I would certainly read it again. I watched the movie times afterwards in counting because I liked the novel so much and the movie was good as well. The movie did have some spot on resemblance to the book as well as exact lines from the book which was nice to see, and overall it was such a classic tale of romance and suspense and thrilling, my favorite scene around :: when the Count first sees Madam Mina on the town square. Loved it. stars

6. My favorite Drac film - I just love this movie, from the first time I saw it in theaters. In this Dracula is a sweeping edgy romantic tale full of adventure, fantasy, doom and redemption. It is visually lush and grotesque at the same time. I never tire of watching it. The Drac is fluff compared to this retelling. This film is fabulous!

7. Romantic? More like, hot vampire sexy fun time. - I think it’s funny that other reviewers are calling this a romantic movie. This is practically lesbian porn… and I adore it. Vampires, Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder (her ridiculous British accent is tough to get past but if you like Ryder, you can look past it… if you try hard enough.) and Antony Hopkins? This movie really brought out my bisexuality as a teenager. I assure you, I’m not joking. Gary Oldman in that blue suit and those glasses? Swoon.. Winona Ryder in most anything? Swoon. Vampire chicks having sex? Swoon. Lol. I love this movie.

8. Wonderful movie - I remember watching this movie when I was in third grade (I was at the time) and loved watching the movie. Love Gary Oldman and Anthony Hopkins. They are my most favourite actors ever! I thought that Winona Ryder played an excellent Mina. I have also read the book a couple of years ago and I thought most the movie stayed true to the book. The thing about movies is that you make it your own and add/delete to make a good movie. They are like books, you can get in trouble for plagerism. Only way to do anything is when you have permission to use it. Francis Ford Copola added a perfect love story in it which I believe started the vampire romance novels of today (for young adults). I can watch this movie over and over again. I am so buying this movie.
