3. Loved every minute!! - What I’ve learned watching M. Night movies are that no two are the same. That’s what makes each one unique and amazing in its own right. Each detail was relevant to the story. If you didn’t get that and were waiting for a twist, you weren’t paying attention. The movie was suspenseful and original and I enjoyed it very much. I bought it so I’ll go back and watch to see what I might have missed. Excellent movie!!

4. His movies get boring after the first minutes - Boring after the introduction of the premise. It turns into a play. Filmed mostly in one room. He needs to look at the source material and decide “can I keep the attention of the audience longer than minutes?” Dave Batista is good in this. Other than his performance, nothing to see here.

5. Bad ratings due to homophobia - This was a great movie. It’s jumps right into it, no plot twist…which is a change…since it makes you expect a plot twist. Acting on all counts was superb. It’s not scary, rather very suspenseful. The reason why it has such bad ratings are due to the homophobic reviews (many of which I assume didn’t even watch it). Yes, two men have a daughter. No kissing. No sex. Nothing. Yet the reviews would have you think people were clutching their pearls and barf bags. It’s a shame….At the same time, I smile at the torment these people must be facing as the world moves forward to evolve into inclusivity.

6. Republican nightmare - The very fact that the ignorant right hate this movie means that is has to be good. And guess what……..IT IS BRILLIANT. Great acting a plot with not too much to even think about. But the trump lover in the theater had smoke coming out his ears??? Was it anger? confusion? Probably both. They will never get it. 8. It’s good! - I thought it was good! I think it could have used a bit more explanation on what’s going on, and I found the book ending to be a little better (although very bleak). But the acting is good and cinematography is great, so I think it’s one of M. Night’s better films. 3. MGAN - Gees that was some crazy movie. MGAN can sing. This was a big mistake. They forgot to put the system codes on the lifelike Doll MGAN to prevent her from harming and hurting others. The Neighbors dog messed up the machine. This doll is out of control. It is now programmed to protect the year old girl and killing others who harm her. Mostly some are harming MGAN. Overall It’s starts out beautiful and then turns crazy because of MGAN. This is a fine movie and of course it’s better than Child’s Play.

4. They didn’t know how to end it. - This movie was like an episode of Black Mirror that they tried to make into a feature film. 2. Absolutely Phenomenal! - Courteney Cox still looks as beautiful as when she was in Scream . Aside from that, my favorite part was when Ghostface killed Dewey. If you’ve ever bought the Scream Operator Bundle in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, the “Finishing Move” is the same as the one in this movie. Pretty cool!

4. Entertaining sequel - Don’t get me wrong when I say that nothing beats the original. After all that one was the first one and it was fresh and new. However, this is pretty good being as it is, a sequel. it does what it says out to do . Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey are all back and they, as well as all of the actors, do a great job. The suspense and horror is there, making for a great and entertaining movie.

5. Awful Casting & A Chauvinistic Production Team - I wasn’t a fan of the casting decisions made in this installment. It was very reminiscent of Scream , which was also a train wreck. The production team has deviated so far from the OG storylines of ,, and . Also, I wasn’t happy to learn that Neve Campbell was dropped from the production of Scream due to not being paid what she’s worth. I refuse to support this franchise moving forward due to the growing environment of chauvinism in Hollywood. Supporting a Scream without Neve Campbell green lights sexism in Hollywood. It’s people. Their decision to remove her from the production over wage discrimination is absolutely abhorrent. .

The thought provoking meta-commentary that the franchise brought was always witty but in “Scream ()” it’s so forced & dumbed down that it feels like a really bad SNL skit where you can practically hear the wink in their voice. 7. Worst Scream Movie!!! - I almost walked out of the movie theater!!! I guessed the killers at the beginning of the movie. The opening scene was okay. The new characters were forgettable. The actress playing Samantha couldn’t act. The OG characters didn’t bring anything to this movie. The plot and the storyline didn’t make sense with concerning Billy Loomis. The ending was stupid and predictable. It didn’t add anything to the franchise. Wes craven is terribly missed! I think his direction would’ve made this movie better.

8. New Take on Original Scream - This film can be very much described as a new take off of the original Scream film. Although I like that the focus was not on “ Sydney Campbell” or other members of the OG cast. I very much believe that the creators behind this film could have taken the premise of this film further and added more of a detailed back story surrounding the father ( in this new take). I feel that having some OG cast members return was unnecessary because the above origins were not re- investigated or explored. Another problem with the film is that it never really feels like the stakes are high. The film fails ultimately because of this.

2. hrs wasted of my life! - I have never written a review but let this be the first and hopefully the last! I feel as if iTunes should do a better job at regulating movies and their pricing. I won’t get into all the semantics of what I thought about the production and the storyline of this movie because it literally would be too much to write. I will say whoever did the costume and digitizing was amazing. Back to iTunes this movie should not be offered for six dollars it would make more sense to offer it at $. or maybe even $. so people don’t feel offended like they were ripped off! I would like one of their executives to watch this and see if they would be willing to spend six dollars the answer probably would be no. they need to regulate customer experience this is what happens when you get too big and forget about customer experience . Don’t get me wrong I know it’s hard to find content because of Covid and movie production but putting something out there just because it’s available doesn’t mean it’s right! That’s just my two cents for what it matters

There are logical fallacies, missing space, a lack of significant character development. It’s clear the director may have been of fan of Lynch’s Lost Highway and White’s White Lotus … this is a mix of the two, however it doesn’t match the high end quality. The director needs more depth, logic and character analysis.

3. A Classic In Its Own Armor - This is a legendary film! No other film can be made like it. This has some scary parts in it, but it is a landmark in cinematic history. Bolaji Badejo will never be forgotten for his role as the Alien, and the Alien will never be forgotten as one of the first well-known aliens to ever exist. This was probably the earliest technology of aliens in horror movies during this time. I didn’t really like this movie the first time I watched it, but now, thinking back on it, I have learned to appreciate this movie for what it is. This older movie with older technology will never be forgotten, since it is one of the movies that serves as roots to the modern horror we have today.

2. Tedious - I really enjoyed the first Terrifier, it was an intensely gory and mean spirited ride that worked pretty well. I’m not sure why the sequel has such a high score on rotten tomatoes though. No slasher movie should be and a half hours and whatever story they were trying to come up with was totally ridiculous. The sequel ramps up the sadistic gore and misogyny that just about bordered on too much in the first one and it results in tedious overlong snuff-like murder scenes. The scenes are so over the top that at first they are sickening and then they sort of become mind numbingly disgusting and kind of boring. One insanely misogynistic scene involving a young girl who has her bones broken, her back carved open, a scalping, and then salt and bleach thrown all over her bleeding wounds is so vile that I was sort of just wondered what is wrong with whoever directed this and what was wrong with me for watching it. I love some good gore effects and found the sheer nastiness sort of fascinating in a sick way, but I did not need to see a mangled and tortured corpse of a young girl crying out for her mother as she STILL would not die. The violence is supposed to be over the top and comedic but it really just felt icky and excessive in a bad way. The characters aren’t very memorable and there is almost a total lack of suspense, so it just turns into a two and a half hour gore fest that is an overrated slasher flick. Not really looking forward to another entry after this one.

3. Art the clown is back - I honestly loved the second part better than the first. It is genuinely rare for the film series to come up with a much more interesting storyline than the original one to keep on tempting the audience and encouraging them on following the saga which “The Terrifier” obviously made a dead sure come back! 4. OMG! “ART THE EFFIN’ CLOWN” IS BAAAACK!!! - I don’t even know where to begin… This movie is NOT for the faint of heart, or if you are a squeamish person. I have never seen SO MUCH BLOOD GUTS AND GORE in any other movie besides the evil dead. This movie is beyond over-the-top, outrageous silly and absolutely insane. This is definitely a great follow up to the first film which blindly came out of nowhere… But beware as this is a very long movie. Every time I thought the movie was ending he just kept going on and on and on but this is definitely a fun thrill ride for anybody looking to have mindless, bloody gory entertainment for the night I found myself giggling with insane delight because it’s so outrageous… Enjoy

It has an actual story, some decent acting, and characters that feel like characters. This movie is very disturbing though. 2. Back Tru m- - THIS is what I wanted instead of Prometheus. I HATED Prometheus so much I’ve xcluded it (along with AVP) from the Alien films. Covenant was the most beautifully shot since the original, even the ship had that baroque look it like the ship of the original Alien. The only negative issue I have with Covenant is weak characters. Not much depth or development. Scott gets a pass on this from me anyway bcuz I am so relieved that this was nothing like Prometheus & Scott focused so much on honoring & paying respect the original. The gory special fx were more than decent & there was an atmosphere of dread. While not near as good as the original & Aliens, Covenant held its own very well.

5. I enjoyed it - This was a really good film and a worthy sequel to Prometheus and a good prequel to the Original Alien. I also like how Ridley worked in references to Blade Runner and Blade Runner , at least visually, to this film. The ending, whew...I had a feeling Ridley would do something like that since it is sort of what was the intended ending to Alien. I sincerely hope that if the Disney/Fox deal goes through, that this is one of the franchises that will be kept around along with Predator and X-Men.

7. Tell, Tell, Tell - Where "Prometheus" let the viewer think for themselves a little bit, the whole second half of "Covenant" tells, tells, tells. I loved "Alien" and "Aliens," and "Prometheus" was good and I could even stomach III and IV. But this was a movie that played everything safe, and I am someone who wants to think for themselves and doesn't like safety when watching something this philosophical and deep in the imagination. About half way through, this movie lost itself and lost me when it started explaining things.

There was just way more gore for the sole sake of gore and everyone dies at the end. Yes, interesting story about the development of xenomorphs but I'm really glad I rented this. Beautiful production, weak narrative - Although it betrays it’s spatial limitations and veers on inducing claustrophobia at times, Coppola’s ambition to create the film entirely on sets yields some beautiful production designs. He wanted to film black backgrounds and instead focus on ornate costume design and that explains the meticulous attention to wardrobe as well. Unfortunately the story is driven by an unconvincing doomed love story populated with mostly not very compelling characters. The biggest sin is that it isn’t remotely scary. Dracula is flamboyant here but not at all menacing. He’s a tragic romantic in this interpretation which ironically otherwise follows the events of the novel more closely than any other adaptation. But fundamentally changing the character motivation makes the finished product fairly pretentious, devoid of urgency and drenched in overwrought melodrama when it should be desperate and intense. Still the acting is committed and the memorable score goes a long way to create atmosphere. The Annie Lennox song is a good addition as well. There isn’t a two and a half star option so I’ll round it up to three.

2. My LOVE for this movie NEVER DIES - I’ve watched this on DVD, Blu-ray, satellite TV, VHS in & now I own it in digital format. I wish I could’ve seen it when it was first released in theaters, I was only years old at the time :( I really love the production value that was put into this film, minus the portrayal of Harker. Worthy of the time for me to write a review - I read the original Dracula by Bram Stoker months ago and I was so fascinated by it, especially odd for someone with as short an attention span as me, and finished this novel in just under weeks, reading everyday and night nonstop, it was such a lovely classic, I would certainly read it again. 7. Willy Wonka and Clue Meets Hells Kitchen - I bought this movie from Amazon and watched it tonight and it was surprisingly very good. The plot is horror Willy Wonka and Clue in an isolated restaurant where several wealthy people who all were invited to a lavish meal prepared by a mad chef who is sadistic and somewhat jealous of these people because of their status and his belief that they have failed and exploited him in his career. The entire movie was filled with suspense from start to finish and kept me on the edge! 5. A Perfect Example Of How And Why People Get Indoctrinated Into Cults - What’s scary about Midsummer is how many people saw it as a happy movie. They were happy that Dani finally got what she wanted, a family. In reality, the Hårga are a cult. Pelle chose Dani to be the new member because he knew that she had no family or friends who would investigate her disappearance and was desperate for a sense of belonging. It’s funny how people are confident that they’d never get indoctrinated into a cult, yet these same people didn't see the Hårga as a cult. I’m like, “of course you wouldn’t get indoctrinated into a cult. You’re not desperate enough.” People join cults when, like Dani, their lives are in shambles. They’re poor/homeless, their family abandoned them, their family is dead, they don't have friends, they’re sick, or they’re having an existential crisis and are seeking guidance. Some people claim that the Hårga wasn't that bad because they showed Dani she'd be getting into. But, does she though? For example, of the Hårga's traditions is when their members reach the age of , they're no longer seen as being of use to the village and commit suicide by falling off a mountain. So, what happens when a member reaches , is perfectly healthy, and doesn’t want to die? Do you think the cult is just gonna let them live and die of natural causes? No. They’re either gonna force them off the mountain, sacrifices them, or exile them to the forest to fend for themselves. Since the Hårga live miles away from civilization and don't have phones or cell reception, no one can call for help. The Hårga, like all rural villages, believe in traditional gender roles. What happens when a female member is infertile or doesn’t want to get pregnant? Or a male member doesn’t want to work or becomes disabled? Cults are notorious for being ruthless to members who step out of line or can’t contribute. We never see Hårga members getting punished or tortured for insubordination in the movie because they wanted to show Dani all their good sides. Do you think Pelle would’ve taken Dani to the village if it was raining or there wasn’t a festival? No. He specially chose the perfect day to make the Hårga as appealing as possible. Dani is still trapped and will be forced to conform to their way of life, or else. People also say the Hårga is like paradise compared to mainstream American society because they could give Dani what she needed without technology. However, it wasn’t modern society that caused Dani to be miserable, it was a combination of Christian’s apathy and Dani’s sister murdering her parents. We never know why she murdered her parents and killed herself. Was she mentally ill? We’re Dani’s parents abusing her? We don’t know. Society also didn’t make Dani introverted; that’s just the way she is. If Christian were a better boyfriend, and Dani had better friends, Pelle wouldn't have targeted her for indoctrination. There's also been debate on whether or not the Hårga are a cult. They are, but not in the way we think of cults. They're similar to the Amish. They can claim to not be a cult since the members are allowed to leave. There's even a tradition called Rumspringa where Amish teens can choose to either stay or leave the village. The problem is both the Hårga and Amish's way of life is completely incompatible with the outside world. If any of them did leave, where could they go? They don't have driver's licenses, passports, dental records, social security codes, birth certificates, education records, or any form of official identification. As for work, the only thing they could do is low-skill factory work, be a maid/housekeeper, or a farmhand. People who were born and raised there are unlikely to leave because that would mean abandoning all their friends, family, and the only life they've ever known. Even though they're not technically hostages, their culture makes assimilation with the outside world is almost impossible. That's why a lot of them say, "Why would I leave? I have everything I need." This is why we see none of the Hårga leave, even though they could. That's why self-sustaining cults are dangerous.

6. This movie is hauntingly unsettling - Ari Aster movies are a hit-or-miss for me. This was definitely a hit. I was surprised that this movie struck me as it did. Yes, it seems to be an homage to such films as the Wicker Man. However, where the Wicker Man fell flat (and it was pretty unleavened for me) this movie soars. Florence Pugh is brilliant and brings such power and raw emotion to the role. Yes, it’s really long - does it need to be so long? Not sure, but it builds the suspense and anxiety beautifully. I would recommend this movie to people who who enjoy folk/gothic type horror.

7. This isn’t a horror film - It’s a breakup film where an unstable girlfriend gets to murder her slightly douchey boyfriend. As already stated it’s a pretty film, and that’s about it. It’s not scary, it’s not “spooky”, it’s not gory (there’s about two gore shots and it doesn’t even approach GOT level violence). It’s boring. It’s overlong and very, very boring. There’s nothing new here and it isn’t “deep” or asking any interesting questions. I would have fallen asleep if I wasn’t so determined to power through the end. Avoid.

8. Not for simps - This is a classic “not for simps” film. Sorry to sound arrogant and/or condescending but people with short attention spans that expect a quick payoff and don’t want to think during a movie will hate this. 3. Yerrr Outta Here! - I hate this type of movie and this movie in particular, “Get Out”. I will explain, of course. This is the worst type/genre of movies – if promises something that never delivers, but what it does deliver is gruesome murder ad nauseum. The script has so many tone-deaf dialogues and actions that the story falls apart again and again after almost every scene. It bludgeons us with racism and stale history lessons of Uncle Tom mentality in contemporary life. It perpetuaes the ridiculous undercurrent of “systemic racism” that is a punch line nowadays. In fact, what a good way to describe “Get Out” in one word: joke. It makes us, the viewer, the butt of the joke. Halfway through, you scream at us, “Ha ha ha! Gotcha! Get Out-a here!” In one moment, one second, with the losing of the car keys, it’s like you rip off a band-aid and realize your wound is gangrenous, and you need to “Get Out” to a hospital, stat. Everything turns evil; catatonic; miserable; torturous; insane; and inane.

8. It's OK - It was obvious to me while watching this that the director is a Twilight Zone fan. The movie plays more like a modern TZ episode than a movie. The premise is just OK, but in our modern ultra-PC world not calling it a masterpiece will probably get you banished from the precious social media. It's something that I watched once and never have to see again. I've seen the director being marketed as a "horror master" on TV after the success of this movie - when he makes about more excellent horror movies, you can assign him that title. Should’ve Been Given An R Rating Instead Of A PG- Rating - Even though some of the humor in “Bros” won’t exactly age well due to its R rating because of a few mean spirited characters (particularly Billy Eichner’s character Bobby Lieber), among some other things, it’s still a little bit better than what’s on display in this awful movie known as “Prey For The Devil”. Honestly, this horrible horror movie should’ve been an R rating instead of a PG- because of not only the name but also the material itself, especially with young children involved. 2. Kinda creepy but not really? - I'm torn, I really dont think it lives up to the original in terms of scare factor. Story was a bit better. Personally, Tim Curry's IT was terrifying. His character was truely menacing. Bill Skarsgard's IT was a little too jovial. I mean sure its a clown, but the combination of costume and acting did scare as much. 3. Absurdly ridiculous - I loved the first remake, minus one scene. Chapter here is a horrible insult to the book and original movie. Changed to a Native American myth/legend/story about the Sky people the Hopi speak of. Just awful interpretation and change to the story. Like they couldn’t decide what kind of paranormal/supernatural monster it should be. So instead it’s a alien now. This new take of the story makes it so unbelievable it’s just laughable. 6. I bought this on my Xbox! - Ok so I’m making a review here as well because this movie is AMAZING! And this is coming from a Halloween franchise super fan So I typically only watch the Halloween movie and that’s it besides chucky and IT () and ()..... I occasionally watch The nightmare on elm street films but there not my favorites, But let me get back to this movie I LOVED it the original Tim curry film AND the remake I was even pennywise with a trick or treat studios mask last year () For Halloween Witch cost me Buck but it was worth it! As I was saying this movie is an excellent follow up to the remake, even though people said it sucked it did not it was a hell of a movie So I purchased it on my Xbox this year when it was on sale and i watch it at least times a week so its an awesome Movie!

7. Amazing from start to finish!!! - I absolutely loved this movie, I don’t even know where to begin! First of all, the acting was incredible, and I loved how they looked nearly exact to their child counterparts. The beginning, I’ll admit is a gory start that hits on a very touchy subject, however it is significant to the development of the characters in some indirect ways that I thought were ingenious! Although I didn’t particularly find this film scary, I was certainly on the edge of my seat the entire time wondering what would happen next. The special effects were so fun to watch, but they also weren’t overwhelming (also appreciated how this film didn’t overuse the jerky CGI). The entire time I felt very involved in the story, and I felt connected to each of the characters emotionally and mentally. I thought that Bill Hader was exceptionally incredible in his portrayal of Richie Tozier. I won’t spoil the ending (any fans of the first should definitely watch this one!), but by the end of film I was left in trembling tears as a result of the emotion I felt from his character. The cast as a whole was amazing though, and I love Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise, he brings such an eerie and brilliant tone to the entire film that I adore. Over all, this movie was very well done and I highly recommend it to anyone who is still on the fence. If you enjoyed the first one, I suggest watching where it was heading! Go in with an open mind, and don’t expect a horror film, but something more. If it scares you, great! If not, don’t focus on that because I feel that’s where a lot of people are blinded and discouraged from how great this movie really is. Five stars from me! I watch it all the time!

6. What a disappointing, awful movie. - I gave it one star because I think Lupita Nyong’o is fantastic. Had it not been for her I would have given it ZERO stars. Winston Duke is such a better actor than what he portrayed and those kids were just annoying. The best part of the movie was when the douche friend was killed. 8. Good movie ruined by unnecessary rd act... - Us is Jordan Peele’s nd movie and after he made Get Out, he was bound to make another horror movie. The premise is unique and ingeniously creepy. The thing is about how the movie was executed. Well.... Lupita is obviously a great and talented actor. The performances they all delivered was great but the dumb and foolish decisions their characters all made ruined most of the movie. The major stupidity of these characters lead to rage. Now the concept is brilliant, and the first and some of the second act is mostly exceptional but the third is unnecessary. A plot twist genuinely was unnecessary to the plot. The plot twist is hard to explain to others and I still don’t understand it all. The twist wasn’t needed at all in terms of plot. But this movie isn’t terrible. Jordan still manages to deliver a great score and keep the movie scary with tense scenes that truly deliver. Overall though, was expecting lots more outta this movie. ./ Overrated and not recommended to most people.

Two homeless teenagers break into a wealthy couples home ( Phrogging). They don’t want to steal anything, they need a place to sleep and food to eat. It turns out, the male Phrogger chose the house because the police officer (home owner) abducted him when he was a child and kept him hostage. The police officer usually kills his victims but somehow the Phrogger didn’t die. The phrogger gets revenge, killing the child serial killer and alerting law enforcement to the trailer in the woods with child hostages.

8. I See You.... - I cannot rave enough about this movie!!! I watched it three times just because it was so incredibly awesome. This movie will leave you with your mouth wide open and keep you guessing until the end. Very few movie plots are able to do that these days. Rent it or buy it! You won’t be disappointed.
