1. Missing common words! - I purchased this to use as an “official” source when playing Scrabble with family, rather than having everyone consult various online sources. After downloading and opening it, I noticed it was essentially featureless other than a table of contents and the word entries, but that’s fine for $. I used it for the first time today, searching for the word “aghast”. It’s not in there. It’s in any proper dictionary you’ll find, but not here. In disbelief I scrolled through a few pages in the ‘A’ section and it’s clear that this dictionary is missing numerous words. What’s the point of producing and selling a dictionary that contains a fraction of the words in our language? Don’t waste your money. Google is easier, complete, and free.

1. Nice and cheep - I like how this lets you master kanji using the same method that many other books do at a much more expensive price for less words. I really like this book, also the activities are nice. Activities and tests are no where near as stressful when they aren’t dictating your future. It also lets you keep track to how many kanji you have learned, as well as the stroke order. Overall, very nice! I’m not even done with it yet and I can already see how good it is. Also, those funny stories keep you motivated “any jellybean will turn white if you throw it into the sun”.

1. So Cute and Helpful - I purchased this book because I am teaching myself the Spanish language. I had French in high school, and I thought it would be useful for me to learn a more spoken (?) language. In other words, a language that was spoken in more countries than French might be. Spanish is spoken all over the world, so I thought I would give it a try. Well, I am sure glad I did. But I digress. I wanted to let people know that this book is truly a pleasure to have. It's especially good to learn Spanish pronunciation. And you don't need anything else other than this book because it's all here. Well, not totally everything, but sure enough to get started. So, what are you waiting for? I doubt that you will not like this book. Try a sample first. That's what I did. I also wanted to add that I am in no way affiliated with this book at all. I am just an ordinary person who loves to learn languages. I might even try a book to learn Italian someday, but first I want to improve my Spanish. I don't travel, I just enjoy this alone.
