1. Great read- once you get past the “f-bombs” - Being one of Christian faith, I was not sure I wanted to read this one. I am glad I did. It was a great book with wisdom and historical relevance to his point. I am grateful I didn’t allow all of the “f bombs” to influence my decision. A must read!

2. Eye opening at the very least - I recently fell into pretty bad anxiety attacks about how I’m not doing enough or how I don’t have friends and all that, and after reading this book it really helped me put my life and future into a more stable perspective. I don’t want to spoil just in case anyone does want to read it (fantastic btw) but it’s definitely an eye opening experience and at the very least made me question some things about the myself

3. A great book about values - This book is very great in teaching what is truly important in life and what not to give a f about. This book really go into detail on all the key values and give amazing examples too. Definitely recommend if you feel like you struggle with finding something worth giving a f about or you think you care about too many things!!

4. Interesting viewpoint - An interesting read and take on how one might deal with day to day challenges that life brings. While most of the content is obvious, sometimes we forget to remind ourselves of how silly humans, including myself, truly are. Life’s a journey and it’s not about the end game. The path along the way is what we should treasure.

5. Positive Perspective of life and death - This book has truly given me a different insight of both life and death by appreciating both and realizing that one must have a full understanding of death in order to fully live with no guilt and minimal stress. This book also highlights the importance of challenges and being able to overcome those challenges without expecting others to help you.

6. LOVED every page of this - I’m in my late twenties, feel like I’m letting the days pass me by.. I felt it was destined for me to read this as it continued to pop up on my recommended list. I’m so glad I read this, I understand myself a little more, and am willing to ask the hard questions. We are worth investing in ourselves. This book was fantastic, would highly recommend!

7. Life changing. - I have read this book for the rd time since I’ve gotten it a year and a half ago. Every time it has given me something else to learn and take in. Never disappoints. I have recommended this to every person I talk to every time I have a chance. The author is very blunt and makes you feel like he’s the friend you need in life who is giving you advice about life. I have now bought the audio and it’s that much better and funnier. I encourage you to read this if you are serious about putting in change into your life without any excuses because this will teach you to take responsibility for your actions and how to react or not react to things. Please read! Take many notes!

8. An affirmation to your own greatness - This book affirms you while confronting you raw and bare like an old friend you barely knew from that one mmorpg, or from the alcohol binge party you used to rage at without fear of honesty. Excellent for truth seekers confronting themselves, about what they care for too much and too little. Looking forward to reading this again.

9. Life Changer - I knew that going into this book it was going to teach me something. But boy, I was not expecting to have gained such new insight on so many things. I hope that one day I am able to meet the author and tell him just how much this book means to because this book has seriously changed my life.

10. Wow - I truly enjoyed this book. Manson, has captured some of his lessons learned throughout life. And paints a vivid picture of how everyday trivial occasions do not ultimate define us. Death is always looming, so life should be grooming… grooming us to be all we can be. We never know when it’s time.

1. Sloppy Production. D- Work. - This product is miserably proofread, if it was proofread at all. Some paragraphs, especially the indented paragraphs, will have so many misspellings that a reader has to pause to figure out what is intended. One has to wonder how a publisher can be so sloppy & invest so little, & still expect the consumer to pay top dollar.
2023-02-04
2. Mesmerizing. Couldn’t put it down. - The quirks, twists and surprises kept me reading this book. Factual, yet cunning and insightful. If you want to manipulate manipulative people or entice people to do what you want, I’d say read this book. I thoroughly enjoy each excerpt of historical situations used to reveal different messages and a new lesson upon turning each page.

3. Jedi mind trick - A Sith Lord’s handbook on use of the dark side of the force. No, the dark side is not stronger than the light. Master Yoda once said “Quicker, easier, more seductive, but not stronger.” You’ll damage your body/soul without a doubt if you live by these laws. Remember the high ground and the inevitable fate of Vader.

4. Before you read this book... - You must know that you should not compare this book when it comes to having power in real life scenarios. this book is mostly only fitting for work places/corporate. for example, for those out there who works at a really good job where you have a CEO and you want to be on the CEOs level. or for example if you are working in anything as big as a mayor and you want to know how to be able to say the right things this is perfect.

5. ???? - ..... Like law . I don't like to talk much .... But I feel as a sensei I must share this information with you all ..... This book will transform you mentally & spiritually , while causing you to evolve into a complete different being . . Your power will increase ten fold ..... There is allot of other abilities this book grants an individual, but I'm forbidden to speak on ...

6. This book is okay, I guess... - While several of the laws can be used today I suppose, I found many of the laws to metaphorically be outdated. Then at the end of every chapter, which was probably - more pages than it should be, the author spent two paragraphs to 'debunk' the respective law itself - thus making all chapters contradictory at best. Probably won't be re-reading the entire book, but may come back to a couple of the chapters that seemed relevant.

7. Ebook full of errors, unreadable - This book itself is easily a -star read. Unfortunately, the iBooks digital version is a mess. What starts as a few confusing typost quickly gives way to bizarre formatting errors. At one point, sentences from two separate parts of a chapter are mixed up on after another, requiring decoding to read. In another place, half a chapter is simply missing and the next chapter begins as if it were over. (Perhaps the over half of that chapter is floating around somewhere else in the book; I’m not far enough along to know it yet.) Even in areas without these egregious mixups, there are frequent typos that make me think the ebook was scanned from a paper copy. Reviews indicate others have noticed these same errors; save your money and get a hard copy instead.

8. Awesome book! - This book is a little boring but really really good. It has you thinking and reflecting on your position in life at work relationships and how you have handled things in the past. Love it (crazy thing is my brother told me to read this and he's in pension and his gang makes everyone of their "soldiers" read this book" lol. Anyways read this book

1. Humbling. Eye opening. Comforting. - On a personal journey to heal - this book really helped me dive into how to start, validated a lot of feelings and thoughts within myself that are hard to even speak of in therapy. As I prepare for EMDR therapy I stumbled upon this title, and wil forever refer back to this as I complete trauma therapy to help imbed what to watch for in others, and myself.

2. Story of my life - This book is amazing! I’ve had so many issues that I’ve been fixing that don’t seem to come to an end. Once I found this book it all made sense. The author perfectly described many traits my parents have, how I’ve dealt with it and why it creates more issues for me down the line. She also provided easy and tangible ways to help you identify your parents patterns and heal from the trauma or caused. Finally I see a light at the end of the tunnel for improving my constant anxiety and worry that hinders me from living. I highly recommend this book for anyone. Even if someone doesn’t have the issues described in this book it’s also very eye opening about how other people react in different situations at work, school or anywhere else.

3. This book changed my world view - Not only did this book show me how to deal with my own emotionally immature loved ones, it also showed me how I am emotionally immature. We pick up communication from our parents. It makes sense that you’d also pick up their emotional immaturity. I started reading this book to deal with my relationship with my parents but it ended up showing me I can be a better person myself.
2021-04-01
4. Good information, questionable structure - I loved the insights in this book and found the big-picture point-of-view to be a very helpful framing. The way she delineated personality characteristics often did not resonate for me and I found myself needing to take the ideas that worked for me and leave a lot of the structure behind.
The latter part of the book gets into practical advise and “solutions” which I liked but also wanted to add a parenthetical frequently (this paragraph’s advice could take years to work through, don’t give up!).
I still would recommend this book as a thought starter for self-reflection and reframing of our earliest and most influential relationships.

5. A breath of fresh air - This book felt like it lifted a big weight off my back I didn’t know I was carrying. I like that the book uses the term ‘Emotionally Immature’ parents rather than other labels. I felt like I could relate to every sentence in this book. I kept wanting to read on as I continually felt relief as I went. Aaaaah!

6. Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents - This book and its instruction is changing my life. I wish I had read it years ago. Mrs. Gibson is a gifted writer, and prolific teacher who captured each quality of emotionally immature people and families without resorting to cliches or platitudes. Freeing my true self from the grip of my Mother and of all my own “ideals” was the best gift I’ve ever received. Thank you!

2. Great Insights, lacked some intersectionality - I am not typically a fan of self help books, but I found this one refreshing and appreciated many of the insights Wiest lays out. Left the book feeling inspired and empowered. I did notice however there was a lack of depth surrounding how different backgrounds and abilities may experience life’s difficulties. I as a biracial middle class woman was able to identify with a lot of what Wiest mentions however I was left wondering how other identities may feel as they read this.

3. perfect timing - I’m going through a break up, one that I caused with my mental health. Unfortunately, I deal with trauma. I live in constant fight or flight in relationships. I’m currently doing DBT and this book reminds me of so much of it. I highly suggest this book, it was eye opening. It made me cry in the end, but it also gave me hope and drive to continue to do the inner work.

4. Life Changing - This book helped me see things I thought were so out of my control. It’s eye opening and a deep dive in your emotions. Expect to release a lot of unresolved, buried feelings. But mostly importantly, be open to being wrong and question every bad thing you ever thought. Reality is not really what our brain tells us.

5. I am forever changed - Brianna, thank you so much. This book is transformative. I am forever committed to. The work of conquer and appreciating my mountains because of the truth filled in this book. The book aligns with everything my therapist and I have been working through recently. I am so blown away. Amazing work. I would love to meet you one day

6. BUY THIS BOOK NOWWWW! - This was an incredible read for me. It provoked so many thoughts within myself and conversations with those around me about how we, as people, think and self sabotage. I HIGHLY recommend you buy this and then buy copies for friends and family. It’s my new favorite book and I’ll be reading this a few more times!
2022-01-26
7. Literally needs a better editor - The only reason I’m not giving this five stars is the editing. I literally cannot believe any editor let an author use literally so many times. Other than that, this book helped me recognize some of my self-sabotaging behaviors. I also like that Wiest provides solutions to problems. Many books provide ample reasons of why we do thing without providing the how to fix them. I look forward to reading more of her books while plowing through this phase of my life.
2021-12-15
8. Not a lot of depth - Brianna is far more evolved than I was at , and I look forward to what she does next. However, her examples in this book tend to be overly simplistic and shallow. She does not back up her findings with studies to show why they are valid, and the reader is supposed to just take her findings as fact. I’ve liked her other work, but found this offering lacking. I think if you are under you’ll find this book as useful information. If you’re over , you’ll be left thinking “You need to have more life experience because I guarantee you, you’ll feel differently about this in years.”
2021-11-01
9. I think my life just changed. - Reading this book has opened my eyes to so many of the things inside of myself that I was unaware of. Irresponsibilities, codependencies, habits and patterns that I am capable of changing and growing from. Realizing that I’ve been blaming everyone instead of myself for my lot in life and the path that I’m on has given me freedom unspeakable. I’m in charge of my life. And the difficult years I’ve gone through were simply trying to tell me something was wrong. I’m so grateful to this book and to my therapists and all the other research I’ve done in order to become more self aware. Without it I don’t think I would understand so clearly the power I have to make and create change in the world. Read this book and you won’t be able to avoid a life changing experience of your own. Guaranteed.

1. Back To Happy :) - I am always on a search for the next best self help book and Getting Back To Happy, is exactly what I’ve been looking for!!! This book is deep, but an easy read, which is a must for me. This book just hits home and sometimes it hits home deep. As I was reading the other night I thought “oh wow, that’s what I’m doing with something in my life.” With that being said this is something very positive, but it was the result of a very difficult time of my life. I realized as I read this section of the book, it was good to recognize this and will keep me in check and in a positive place as I continue on this journey.

1. Great book - I bought this book when I was and never got to it currently and I am so glad I opened it and read it gives me so much clarity helped open my mind and see things from a very different perspective. Obligated me to sit with myself and come to realization the only person responsible for my happiness will always just be me the way others see me should never affect my judgment of myself and my persona helped me understand to not take things personal and everything around me can change when I change the way I think and the words I say

2. Worth reading, taken with a grain of salt. - This book presents a unique perspective on the human condition, and how to deal with it. Overall, I appreciate the message of a way to live in love and freedom. The author, at times, tends to exceed the bounds of reality a bit too much for me. For instance, I do not think that believing you will get cancer will actually cause cancer. In fact, believing you might get cancer may prompt you to avoid things that really do cause cancer. Other than that, good story!

3. Powerful!! - For only being my second book ever fully reading. I can’t believe how much I learned about life and myself. This book has helped me grow and expand my mind into a new way of life, a life of happiness and love. I will reread this book anytime I’m having any negativity running around in my head!

4. Perspective Changing - This book was the first self help book I had decided to pick up on my journey to self discovery. Not only is it a simple read (I finished it in under hrs), the perspective offered by Miguel Ruiz really set the tone to living a life of outside of the usual calamity and assisted me in developing an understanding to our connection to others and the universe. I’m currently in the process of reading the other books in this series. It was an amazing read overall and was very much insightful. Great job!

5. Must read - This book puts letting go of things you can’t control in a somewhat complex view. Just let go! I did however loved the way that he broke it down. This book will definitely benefit someone who has an open mind. Though I felt some of the explaining of the agreement was complex, I did understand everything the author was addressing

6. Eye Opener - This book was recommended to me from a close friend. I must say reading for pleasure has been and on and off thing for me but. This book changed my mind and honestly not trying to sound cheesy but my life as well. I am so glad I purchased this book and gave my all everyday to reading it piece by piece. The knowledge I have gained from this book will forever be with me. If you are ready to make a change in your life, or are going through a tough time, or just overall need a bit more clarity as to your purpose . This book is the greatest asset to your mind , body, soul and overall to your health.

7. Heretical, we are NOT a GOD, - This book states in a thin vail, that we are God, not true. It discuses basic Psychology principles, but wraps it in new terminology, and makes it more confusing, as if it were true. It is a shame that Peter Coyote was marketed to bring this into some kind of “acceptable story”. The wisdoms of past philosophers and recent psychology sound principles are the root of this book. There are no Toltec agreements, but a statement of accepted psychology principles. There aren’t any such documents from the Toltec era, and there are no scientific references, just the author’s story opinions. This has spurred a cottage new age industry in “self help” via Toltec values - that aren’t documented anywhere. It is heresy to say that we become a God like our God. A person is better off reading basic books on -“psychology ” and -philosophers from Greece and Rome, such as Epicurious, Socrates, -and the excellent book from Dr. David Burns “Feeling Good”, from Stanford University, -and a book titled: “You Can’t Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought”.

1. Pagination has been changed - The pages do not match up with the hard copy book. This makes it very hard to attend online Big Book meetings where some use this online edition and others use the hard copy. this ebook is fine if you just want to read the book, but if you want to be in discussion groups with others, you need the hard copy so everyone can be on the same page number. I bought this and am sorry. Will go find and acquire the hard copy version.

2. It Works if you Read it!!! :) - Im not too sure what I would do without my Big Book. The book here in the virtual library is the best thing since sliced bread, and well worth the $.. My only issue, and correct me if I am wrong, because if I’m not, I hope that this can be addressed. I take my iPad to my meetings and like all other AA’s, pages are always referenced. The pages in here do not correlate with the physical version (th addition). Am I just missing something?

1. Beautifully written, but took some willpower to get through. - This is a classic book that everyone should read at some point. If people were more interested in tangible things like money, we would have a lot less whining about “justice” and “inequality” and “police brutality.” There were passages that I shared, that I posted on my refrigerator for my staff to see, and that I am having engraved on accessories so that I may see them frequently. And then, there were entire chapters that truly tested my determination to finish everything that I start. I’m glad I made it through those, but be forewarned, this book gets really abstract at times, and definitely needs an edit so that young people, who have so much to learn from these classics, will be motivated to keep reading.

2. One of the best books out there - No matter your goal in life is this book is a must read if you want to reach your goal. Everyone should read this. 3. An African American Perspective - So, I’m a junior at Jackson State University. My friend group is BIG on self-sustainability. All my friends eventually want to run their own businesses or medical practices and other things in that nature. Books like these are in rotation often. We are trying to prosper. This book is a great book. Amazing read. Life changing. It is not to be read in one sitting. It’s not a fast read. You have to take notes as you go along through the principles. This book is full of knowledge. I love it. From the perspective of a year old African American woman hailing from the South Side of Chicago there are things in here that are delivered in a cut and dry manner that aren’t that way for us in reality. Self aware black readers will understand that parts of this book need to be tailored a tad to fit some of our circumstances. The plus side is it is easy to do such with this book. Some of the references to success are reaching; nevertheless they can be looked over or mentally replaced. I myself am not an entrepreneur per say. It’s not all about the money for me. I want to find the motivation to make it through medical school. This book can be easily applied and/or mentally altered to fit your lifestyle and goals. When I say mentally I mean when you think about applying these changes to your life. To conclude my review: I love this book. It’s full of motivational quotes to remember. It’s well written. You should take notes while you are reading. Read slow and take in all the information. Some this can be altered to better fit your life.

4. It's a ten - It's a ten if you can handle the writing style. My guess is most of the youngsters of today cant. Judging from my own kids it's not going to happen. Sorry Napoleon. My advice is read with patience and enjoy the treasures the book has to offer because no one in your day and age has one eighth of the gusto it took to write this. That my friends is a fact. Good luck. The secrets of the ages awaits you.

2. Untethered Soul is a book to read twice a year. - I bless the day I heard of this book. It was prescribed by one of my mentors. I looked it up on iBook and I saw the price, I couldn’t buy it at the time, so I started by reading the sample and boom! I found myself buying the whole book. Before I read the Untethered Soul, I was a lost soul myself. I was living in depression, confusion, envy and anxiety (though I’ve sought medical help with the depression and I’m gradually getting better). It felt like there was a dark cloud over me which made me irritable at every point in time. Words can’t express my current state of mind. I no longer get overly agitated about things that are out of my control. I now fall back and allow events to happen without holding on to them. I know I’m going to be a pleasant surprise to myself by the time I’ve put to use all the insights and knowledge shared in this of book of social, emotional and mental healing. Thank you Michael Singer for this great Book! It’s all encompassing!

3. This book will change your life!! - Reading it for the second time and is still as enlightening as the first time. By far one of the best books I have read to this day. I have gained a deeper understating of myself and a level of awareness I did not know I could incorporate in my life. I can’t express just how fulfilled this book makes me feel. So much substance, a must read!

4. Transformative! - I am on my fourth read of this amazing book. The author provides an insightful and deeply thoughtful path the reader can follow to understand and achieve a self that can experience the now. The author takes the reader on an amazing path by carefully explaining how our minds and the experiences and expectations we create causes each of us to live in an ill-defined world of the past and the future. This book has been a transformative and at times painful experience to read. The book has enabled a new understanding of awareness and a discovery of new profound personal energy. This book has changed my life.

1. Superb, deep, incredibly insightful introspection on the act of creating, and the human experience - For any artist, or anyone who wishes to create art. I recommend this book over any other book I have read. I happen to know that it was developed over eight long years, after a lifetime of paying close attention, and it shows. To the author and his team.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to put into words these ideas and experiences which are so intangible. In doing so you’ve given people the ability to perceive regularly what can take years of vigilance to get a glimpse of. Reading this book I have sobbed many times, not because of any explicit sadness, but because this book touches on things that are found so far within the depths of our experience. You’ve managed to pierce into the depths of my soul, Rick! And remind me.. we are a vessel. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. May God bring blessings upon you and your family. 1. Learning About Masculine vs. Feminine Energy Is - The imbalance between both energies is where a lot of problems in relationships, wether internal or external, arise. This book does a great job of explaining the power of stepping into your masculine frame as a man, and the negatives by not doing so. Same for women in their feminine frame. When both sexes switch energies, i.e., a man becoming more feminine, he loses his drive, purpose, and direction in life, resulting in his woman stepping into her masculine, making her abandon her true essence for love and support. This is my second time reading this book, and it was even better this time around. I highly recommend for both men and women!

3. Tj - This was a great book took me just a few days to read. I liked the author and his input on everything. The only thing that I’d tell future readers and to the author is a lot /most of this book is aimed towards married couples or girlfriend /boyfriend that are already in long term committed relationships and have some kind of intimacy with each other on a regular / weekly monthly type of basis. One of my biggest problems as a male is maintaining a committed relationship with a female. If you are not in a relationship with a woman you kind of have to own up to the fact that you are a single male with no woman/ or women there to help you in that kind of way sexually loving and feeling for you on a regular or weekly basis. I felt it was more of a book aimed towards people that were already married or deeply committed to one another. From a biblical context it is not good for the man to be alone that is why God created both male and female. So the fact that husbands and wives are talked about in here throughout the book definitely makes sense from a godly perspective. For me personally being a single male it kind of makes it difficult to relate to a lot of it not having that relationship to be able to help guide you however you would like it to. I could relate to a lot as far as finding a sense of purpose in the direction but as far as what a woman is feeling or expecting and bettering that , it just seems this book is more aimed towards the long term boyfriend /girlfriend or married husband and wife than the single guy who is not in a relationship with any woman. Overall I still give this a five out five stars and with my suffering and struggles as a man /human being there was still a lot learned even though much of it is designed for people that are already together.

4. Solid Read - Great book for men looking to lead their relationship in the modern world. For example, traditional social norms pressure men to be the “bread-winner” as one of their manly duties in leading their relationship. This book challenges these types of norms and provides practical examples and tools for both men and women to use to enhance their relationships with one another.

1. Lol nope - I was a firm believer that your wardrobe was just for a level of book cover etiquette. But this is absolute nonsense of a title alone. Within the introduction you mentioned your pristine life in California being very well off. Regret to inform you and other people on this planet but talking about your experiences within a temple, make it accessible to the plebs and take their money for your template is not any mindset of any monk who ever existed. On that level no one should waste their time, energy or money on a person so withdrawn from what they feel they represent. If you seek insight from someone like this for your purpose. You are in for a rude awakening within your soul.

2. / - I’m leaving this review before I’ve finished even half of the book. It’s unbelievable how relatable and comforting this is to me. Not only that, but Jay also gives thorough explanations and insight into how to recognize and specifically address each topic he discusses. I can’t imagine ever finding a better self-help style book than this one.

3. Eye opening!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - I was going through a tough phase in my life in which I made a terrible decision that left me feeling depressed. I could not figure out the root of the problem until I read this book and reflect on myself. This book helps me find ways to shift my perspective and to aspire to find my true purpose. Thanks Jay!

4. Must read! - I have always been a fan of Jay’s podcasts and Facebook videos which made me so excited to read his new book. I read it a few months back and it was nothing short of amazing! He is so wise and was able to phrase things into an easily understandable way. I will be reading again because there is so much knowledge to be taken away from this book! Thanks Jay!!

5. Making room - I believe that things come into my life when I’m in need of them. I’ve been learning to keep my mind, heart and body open and ready for these moments. Meditation has been on my mind for a while and I feel I’ve been making excuses. Think Like a Monk has allowed me to stop and evaluate myself on a different level. It has given me an outline of a life I can start living today. Jay Shetty’s words have provided comfort, guidance and clarity. Thank you for your words and being you. I recommend this book to all my friends and every clients in my chair at the barbershop.

6. Very timely book - I really enjoyed “Think Like A Monk.” It was very timely given the current state of the world, and what we are collectively experiencing. I recently began exploring my mindset (it’s a journey) and this book really helped me put it all together. Thanks for sharing your gifts with us, Jay.

7. Not an original thought in this mans head - Having worked in an MLM in the past and knowing people in the “self help” and “mindfulness” industry very well , this man has “borrowed” quotes from everyone across the board from Mark Twain to random modern memes. It’s one thing to borrow or emulate, completely another to take credit for and push the source aside. Self help mlm aggregator at best.

8. The best book ever!! - This book really is amazing!! It has lessons for your life not for some situations but for most situations. The book teaches the importance of calmness, and detachment which is very much needed in today’s world. Most importantly it teaches how working on yourself internally is just as important if not even more important than working on yourself externally. Think like a monk is already my favorite book and yet I haven’t finished it yet!! Jay Shetty really realizes a book that has priceless wisdom!! Congrats Jay on your success and thank you for sharing this awesome wisdom with us

1. Great but needs fixing in app - I enjoy the book and it has so much insight. However, please fix the ebook or the Apple Books store app because it’s running so slow. I can’t highlight, right notes, or barely load the book before it takes forever to come up. It eventually just crashes half the time after a while. Please apple, fix this.

2. Another Masterpiece. - Robert Greene has done it again. Any returning Robert Greene reader is going to absolutely love this book. 1. Best read ever - I cannot recommend this book enough. I have bought and recommended this book to so many of my friends and clients, and continue to talk about it, because it has changed my life. I always knew I was a positive person, but this book really helped me to see the positivity in everything and believe in myself far beyond my belief. This read has help me cope with childhood experiences and made me realize a lot of things about the person I am today. Purchase, and change your life now!

2. Truly Inspiring - This book has been extremely encouraging, laugh out loud funny, and instructive. In reading, I have identified some areas that I am now focused on improving. Just as important, I am learning to be kinder to myself in the improvement process. This book has had such a positive effect on me and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you to Jen for a worthwhile work.

3. Finally, the book that changed my life! - Thank you for writing this book. I was scared to take a step of faith. I knew I had to do it, but i didn’t know how I was going to make it. After reading your book it helped me believe in myself and in the Universe having my back. I’m courageous now and working towards my dreams!

4. Taught me ALOT - I can honestly say that i am super of myself for choosing this book to read, one it taught me new ideas of my different parts of life far as going for whatever you want to be in life no matter what anything thinks of you. Your life is already planned out you have to just take the steps to get there. If you are struggling with life for many different reasons money issues, family, work, stress depressed etc. i advised you o read this book

5. I hate that I bought this book for Karen - I bought this because it was in the discount section. I had read Mark Manson and thought it might be similar fun. IT isn’t. It starts with how you have to belief in a higher power and goes downhill from there. My best analogy iis that it is like watching Bo Burnham sing “White Woman’s Instagram” over and over until your brain melts.

6. LOVEDDDD THIS BOOK!! - I totally loved this book to the max and I would recommend this boon to anyone and everyone. This book not only shows you a different perspective to life but it opens up your eyes to how us as humans can be when life is nothing but an adventure and a journey and it’s true what they say you make the best out of your life ,, you’re in charge of everything and anything that comes your way!! I absolutely loved this book and definitely thankful to have gained knowledge and will definitely use this book as my guide to continue my journey through life positive, happy and doing what I love to do.

7. Very harsh tone, low literally level, amateur psychology - I realize this book has high review, that is why I wanted to listen. I could not disagree more, I do not like it and may not finish it. Very angry, rough, crude tone. Too generalized to appeal to everyone to the point of being offensive. The F work frequently used, disrespectful as in referring to God in many ways that are blasphemous by calling Him the ‘mother-load’. The voice of the author has an anxious, angry tone that is very irritating and makes it uncomfortable to listen to during my commute. Written at very low education level, instead of staying at a high moral respectful level and lifting readers/listeners to that level, the author was coming down to the depth of the barrel. Really no information in it that is earth shattering or would warrant even publishing. Wow, I am amazed that it has very high reviews. Well, that is my opinion for what it is worth and I am not sure I’ll finish listening.

8. Easy and Introductory Inspiring Read - I am not a self help/ instruction book fan but this one is filled with very simple concepts and statements that can change your way of thinking and just make things feel like they “click”. It was a great introduction to my now long list of books and authors to encourage me to strive for a higher quality life and mindset.

9. I liked the author’s side stories - Book left me skimming through the lines without actually reading content. I was trying to finish but I couldn’t get into what she was saying. I loved her mini stories. Her trip to India, her hike through canyons, and her grandma. I’d like to see a book with her stories! I know this was a self improvement book for others. She probably is a great coach. But some of her ideologies were somewhat redundant. You can tell she had a deadline for the book and was cramming. She took one concept and switched it around for different chapters. It was an okay book but I wouldn’t recommend for others to read. It wasn’t riveting or life altering. To each their own.

10. Really touching! - Overall this book was a great read! Jen really makes it cut throat how easy it is we can change our lives no matter what it is we got going on. She gives us the basic steps in order to make our lives have more of a fulfillment meaning to it. I recommend this book to anyone who needs a bit of a guidance and wants to get a more clear picture on how to get to the point in their lives they so wish to be at already.

11. Believe in helping yourself - I was recently in a severe accident where a car drove off the road and hit my work truck that I was loading and crushed me in between then sent me flying. When I awoke from the coma in ICU I somehow had a very positive attitude towards life and nothing negative to say or feel about the woman who had hit me. After my cousin (who had OD on heroin and then quit because of that life changing event) introduced my fiancé, my other cousin, and her fiancé to this book some months later I bought the audio book and listened to it all. Twice! It concreted my new personality of being happy and hoping for the best, only now I knew that the best was coming instead of just hoping. I can’t say this book changed my life, because that horrible day on December th changed my life, but this book was the mortar my new brick foundation. I recommend this book to everyone, and I believe in life being happy, even if crappy things do happen sometimes. Thank you, Jen Sincero, you have been a hero to many!

1. Quite a good book - An entertaining and informative book. While I did not, personally, find many of the tips revolutionary or mind blowing sometimes seeing it in text helps the point to stick. Overall I would recommend this book for anyone looking to polish their communication/social skills or anyone who is generally interested in social interactions. Side note: it is a very easy read and all of the "tips" are nearly summated within the chapters for reference, which I appreciate.

1. This Book is Life Changing - I’ve read dozens of self-improvement, productivity, and theory books. This one crushes all of them. The real life experiences of the author are tied to how we experience life around us, and he succinctly teaches us why our perspectives are altered by the comforts of modern life. I’m inspired and can’t wait to get out there (more)!

1. Straight Forward! - This book like the author’s first book tell you the things straight forward like it supposed to be. And easy to read for those who are learning English. This book is more than just hope, ot teaches you to not rely on hope but yourself. It teaches you to be better and whatever decision you make, good or wrong, you still gotta move forward and be better.
2022-01-15

3. Regurgitation of some solid thought exercises, but largely uninformed. - The author’s humorous lens by which he views a good chunk of social interactions and personality types is quite entertaining, but he’s completely out of his depth and relies on straw man arguments when discussing religions he chose to learn nothing about. I wanted to like this book, as I gave his previous book five stars. Each section is disjointed and only serves to entrench the author’s confirmation bias. He’s simultaneously repetitive and all over the map. I do have hope, however, that the author can mature past his current narrow field of view.

4. It’s Not What You Think It’s Going to Be - It’s not what the title implies. And it’s not very linear in thought or context. It certainly does not give you hope, but dare I say that is the point of the book? It delves into why hope is actually a bad thing. I had a small existential crisis while reading this book, then I realized it was just one man’s philosophy and I don’t have to subscribe to it. There were valuable nuggets in this book, which is why I’m giving it three stars. If nothing else, it’s entertaining. The end also gives you a nice conspiracy theory to chew on, if you’re in to that kind of thing.

5. Encouraging bad behavior and not helpful - I mean at the start it went deep about that loved ones die. I know people die but that didn’t cure my sadness and angry outbursts I’m disappointed in this book just like the first one. I’m hoping one of your books can stop myself from going into depression. It also mentions you could go shoot up a school but not thinking about criticism. It could effect the way you live. It sounds like your saying that I could balance on a tightrope over a volcano while juggling flaming chainsaws during a tornado for hours. I mean you gotta live life the right way not the wrong way it makes it more enjoyable. Don’t make people feel like dirt make themselves feel live they can do anything even if there’s a deadline to life. This shouldn’t be recommended in any form.

6. Gave Me Hope by Accepting Hopelessness - My title seems like a contradiction but that is what this book is. It makes you come to terms with the idea that life will always seem hopeless because as humans we will never be content. The key is to strive and aspire but detach yourself from hoping for an outcome.

1. Definitely a refocus - This book is for everyone and it came to me at right time of my life and career! It empowered or reminded me of how to get on track and take care of what’s important. Simple direct things we all know that get hidden behind the daily push of busy and constant attention to our technologies. It’s a good read.

2. Good insight, horribly applied - spoiler - I originally picked up this book not knowing it was fiction, I still continued to read it nonetheless. The overall advise within joining the am club is useful; However, the character development was horrible. Two of the characters, the entrepreneur and the artist, fall in love within days after meeting making their interaction and development more cringe than intriguing. There are an ungodly amount of metaphors that seem unnecessary. The advise given is overly repetitive and take pages to explain with pointless verbiage to give the characters more of a “philosophical” stance; when it could easily have been explained in the sum of pages. This author had amazing key points and advice to give, however the fiction format seemed to be a little much for the writer. This book would have been so much better without the fiction character development. It’s nearly impossible to get through willingly due to the highly repetitive nature, and pointless storyline. I fully believe this author could have written the book with his advise and would have had such better ratings. It isn’t easy to follow due to the lack of character development. It is hard to feel a connection to the characters- true character development doesn’t come until the last - chapters. The storyline is drawn out. The reason I’m giving three stars is because the advice that is given is useful- however, you have to search for it in the dump of verbiage and useless story line. I know Robin Sharma has amazing work, this however isn’t one of them. If you’re going to read this book I recommend reading chapter and skipping to chapter ; this is where the am teachings truly begin. Another thing I want to point out is that a lot of what is being taught to the entrepreneur and artist is repeated throughout the chapters in an annoying manner. I’m not a hard critic this book and the characters in the book had the potential of being better.

3. Work of Fiction - I don’t care for fiction. I rarely, if ever, pick up a work of fiction, let alone enjoy it. I wish I knew what I was buying before buying. I felt like the book belittled the reader, and had too many “rah rah” moments for me to actually engage. I cringed at the “spellbinder.” Many of my hard lessons were learned from failure, and never from someone telling me I’m special. I get the sentiment, but I wish I knew what I signed up for. I would not recommend.

4. Motivating - Great book, i met someone recently who seemed to radiate this energy I couldn’t really describe as anything other than magic. And they motivated me to start working and building myself again, I read this book as a first step on that journey and I couldn’t have picked a better one as it encompassed everything that i was trying to become. I still haven’t quite joined the am club but I’m getting there.

5. Changed my life. - This is the first self development book I’ve read start to finish and wow. I’m floored. I’ve already implemented the wisdom and guidance taught in the book and my life is improving every day. It’s like night and day when I run the routine vs not. Thank you Robin Sharma for your amazing work!

6. Long winded parables and padding - There is a cancerous trend of trying to make every self help book into a Russian novel.
This book wastes a lot of time and working for a book about making the most of your limited time.
If you want your words to sound profound, put the effort to polish your prose. Putting it in the mouth of a character named’ spell binder’ doesn’t improve the text.
Making the main character of you novel suicidal so your message can save her doesn’t make your message life changing in reality.
There is some good info in here, worth the money; not worth the time he takes to get to it.

7. Horrible - This book is mediocre at best. The writing is an atrocious combination of story telling written in the form of a seminar while the story is happening. Really bad. The characters have no depth and the dialogues they embody are HIGHLY unrealistic in any sense. The imagery is well, how do I say, unimaginable. The feeling you get while reading this is like when someone is talking to you and you keep saying “ohhh, yea, uh-huh”, only because you want them to get to the end as soon as possible so you can get it over with. Moral of the story, you’re better off motivating yourself. Watch some inspirational Ted Talks if you must, it’ll save you the time and it’ll actually be worth it.

1. If there was a higher rating, I would give it the highest rating. - I cried several times while reading this book. I cannot believe that a woman that was supposed to be a loving, caring mother was such a horrible human being! I cannot imagine what this child had to grow up with and how much trauma he was put through and is gonna have to live with the rest of his life.

2. I was left in tears - I’ve been recommended this book for years, but never had the opportunity to read it until now. I wish I had read it sooner. Once I started reading, I could not stop. It’s so incredibly thought-provoking and heart-wrenching; tears were absolutely shed multiple times while reading this. A very powerful story of trauma no child should experience and a feeling of hope for every kid out there who does.

It’s been about yrs or so since I’ve read it and every time I come across this book it reminds me of the cruel life he lived and makes me wonder how many children are going through this at this very moment. 1. Love - This book is absolutely amazing. Not only is it extremely profound and direct, but it really opens your mind to the importance of following your heart and not allowing the reasoning mind to control your dream. My entire perspective has shifted in the most beautiful way. Thank you Don Miguel Ruiz for sharing your awareness with the world.

2. The Love Bible - This book could be called, “The Love Bible”. It’s essential for anyone with the gift of life to read and heed! Don Miguel Ruiz crafted magnificent stories that show how we can love ourselves the way the Creator made us, how we can forgive those that have harmed or done us wrong, how you don’t have to accept “the dream” that was taught to you, how to treat relationships, and so much more. It’s all centered around love and it starts with us. I will continue to re-read and implement in my life and help influence those around me. Thank you Mr. Ruiz!

3. Must read - This is the type of book that everyone should read early in their lives. Everyone wants to be in a relationship, some type of relationship. Friends, romance, family, etc. this book guides and teaches how to make the best of our relationships with everyone in our lives. This book is about self love. Definitely recommending to family and friends, and most importantly my children.

1. Needs index and page numbers - I downloaded this for a step meeting. We are doing reading based on a topic in the index. While it would be great to have the index, what really makes this e-book useless is that when they say, “turn to page ,” I find that the page numbers are not in sync with the paper book that many of the participants are reading from.
2020-01-27
2. BEWARE- does not contain index in the back! - Courage to Change is one of my favorite books on the planet, and I wanted to buy an e-version in addition to the paper copy I have. To my great disappointment, this doesn’t have the index in the back! (Detachment: p. , , , etc). This severely limits the usefulness of this e-book. I am trying to figure out how to get my money returned.

3. Missing topic index - I love this book and never travel without it. I am so happy that it is now available as an iBook (one less printed book to carry around). I miss the topic index that appears in the back of the printed copies of this book. Perhaps it will be added if enough people realize that it is not included in the eBook?

1. Weak - I wanted to feel inspired or motivated but walking away at the end this book changed nothing. Instead I found myself questioning the terrible anecdotes and quotable excerpts. The writing distracted from the message and the constant reference to God and Angels really took away from the point of each story. There were some good takes on time and space but overall I did not enjoy this book.

2. Thought provoking read, few minor issues - I picked up this book, and was curious if it would guide me through my own creative blocks. While there were wonderfully written passages that makes me want to get up and get to doing what the author preaches, I was turned off by the religious tone near the end. I did appreciate his input to try to think of these religious affected parts in other ways. In addition to that: considering that this book was published in early s, I was not a fan of how the author portrayed the bit about dealing with depression as something trivial. This is something to keep in mind if you decide to take this book’s words to heart in your own journey to conquering your own creative blocks. Other than these bits, this book is definitely worth the read to reframe your own mindset.

3. Thought provoking and reflective - When I picked up this book the impression I had was it was strictly for artists or writers but as I continue to read it I realize it applies to so much more than just the arts. There are insights here that can be applied to many facets of our life. Many great takeaways. The way the book is constructed you could pick it up read a few pages put it down but you always come back. I think this will be one that I will reference periodically and continue to get wisdom and insight from.

4. “POWERFUL and LIFE CHANGING” - Few books, outside of the Bible and James Allen’s “As A Man Thinketh”, has left me Inspired, empowered and changed. This is one of them. The author has tapped into the source of inspiration as well as the reasons and excuses that we have all used ,at one time or another, as to why we don’t tap into our potential and unleash unto the world the gifts that we all have within us. I found out about this book watching a list on YouTube the books that could change your life. I’m glad I listened when it came to the War of Art. I recommend this book to anyone reading my review. Seldom do I write a review, which speaks volumes. I plan to reread this book and have already added it to my “ success library”. It’s money well spent and I’m certain you will feel the same after reading. It would be a disservice to the gift within you that the world is waiting for you to unleash. Thanks again to the author for this Masterpiece!

5. Outstanding! - Reading through this book has really opened my eyes to a whole new perspective on life, as a good book should. Pressfield writes in a way that shows he does not care to impress his readers of his knowledge, to show that he understands something we don’t. Instead he uses what he knows to teach through his writing, his muse if you will. Thank you Steven, I will be back to read again anytime I go off path.

6. Afterword: The Art of All Arts - The (Missing) Afterword The ultimate art is your life, that you co-create with God. Show up to the field relentlessly. Be present every moment. Face the fear. Be willing to be born in every moment (which can be painful or miserable). Don’t take yourself (your ego) too seriously. Humbly accept the gifts that come along. Master the art of life, the art of all arts. Out of it flows every other art.

7. Set your expectations low - A friend highly recommended this book because we have both been struggling with procrastination, and he suggested it was very inspirational for overcoming this. I have gotten halfway through, and I can honestly say that the only lesson I’ve learned is that professionals sit down and get the work done, no matter the pain. If you want to pursue a dream, set a routine. While he does sprinkle the a few inspirational references showcasing the importance of successful habits, it’s hardly a novel thought. On top of this, the author comes across as a massive douchebag on many occasions. He claims many audacious theories on how mankind is organized and divided, and his input is often baseless, in my opinion easily refuted with any critical thought, and worthless filler to the subject of producing professional work.

8. Hyperbolic nonsense - I don’t even know where to start. The author makes so many outlandish statements, mostly based on his prejudices, that it’s hard to take him serious. He equals eating fat and sugar with sin? This should never have been published. Also, the book has spelling errors and awful formatting. Clearly no one proofread this book.

9. Instant Clarity - I read this entire book in one sitting the very day I bought it. I haven’t read a full book in about years. That is really saying something. This book covers everything you need to know as a creative person. Thank you, Steven Pressfield for informing me on these key points and crucial information I so very much needed to pick up my career as an artist. Big ups.

10. Amazing Read - It's an amazing read and teaches you how to combat your inner battles. The book was very giving to me, as it gave guidance on how to explore your inner self in terms of creativity. From the book I learned we have a an angel and a demon each resting on each of our shoulder. They live within our soul and they each represent resistance (the demon) and genius (the angel). The genius is our Muse existing within us. The muse is our inner creativeness. But to ignite our inner Muse we must overcome resistance. Resistance is what we feel everyday, when we wake up in the morning, when we start a new project. It can take many shapes and forms and many times it can be seen as fear. Pressfield explains how we can overcome this fear, and distinguishes between two types of people: the amateur and the professional. He says: “The amateur believes he must first overcome his fear; then he can do his work. The professional knows that fear can never be overcome. He knows there is no such thing as a fearless warrior or a dread-free artist.” When you're going pro, “take a few blows. That’s the price for being in the arena and not on the sidelines. Stop complaining and be grateful.” He further explains, “The more scared we are of a work or calling, the more sure we can be that we have to do it.” He further explains the professional is an artist. The artist is the advanced model. His culture possesses affluence, stability, enough excess of resource to permit the luxury of self-examination. The artist is grounded in freedom. He is not afraid of it. He is lucky. He was born in the right place. He has a core of self-confidence, of hope for the future. He believes in progress and evolution. His faith is that humankind is advancing, however haltingly and imperfectly, toward a better world.” For the amateur, “Grandiose fantasies are a symptom of Resistance. They’re the sign of an amateur. The professional has learned that success, like happiness, comes as a by-product of work. The professional concentrates on the work and allows rewards to come or not come, whatever they like.”

11. Amazing! - This book was so helpful! It really allowed me to think about my art in a new way. Clearly defines terms and really helps us get out of the rut of not being able to practice our art. We have a responsibility to the world and this book really helps you realize that. Artist, Doctor, lawyer, scientist, etc. this book is for everyone.

12. A must read and re-read - This is one of those books you can read over and over again. I just finished my first pass of it and I have notes, highlights, and underlines all over the place. This is an amazing read and I really needed this in my life. I will revisit this book probably or times a year until I really digest this and apply it throughout my life as a musician. If you're an artist in any field... You need to read this book.

13. Thank you. SP. - I started this book last evening and just finished. It's :am. I'm not even tired and all of birds and whatever are chatting outside my window. While reading I stopped to write a children's book I thought about writing a year ago this month. After I called on my muse for guidance. Thank you SP. This book has given me something that I have been searching for, for many years. The why? The what and the how? CD.

14. The Love of War - When a soul speaks with a soul and reminds the soul of all there is, all there could be, all there ever was and validates the soul’s journey there is comfort. With the comfort The War of Art brings its reader there is magnificent responsibility. 15. Life Changing - This book quite literally changed my life. It helped me overcome the fear and self-doubt I had always been consumed by. Over the past year I have taken several major steps in my life including starting a business, and it was because this book helped identify everything that has ever held me back.

1. Terrible - This book feels like a history book by how many examples of important figures did in the past rather sticking to the main point of the chapter. There was a LOT of examples just thrown randomly in the book that I lost interest in reading and I was thankful for the summary at the end. Basically this book just go over the things that I and most likely you know such as to smile, be a good listener and don’t make the conversation focused on just you.

2. Good, informative, but too many errors - This book is a really good read, gave me much to take with me and apply as I pursue public speaking! But the editor of this particular book has far too many errors in it! So disappointing. Nevertheless, I’m glad I can still take away everything I need to succeed with and for people.

3. Excellent after all these years - I first read this book over years ago after taking a Dale Carnegie course on public speaking. Like many others have said before me, that course changed my life. I switched careers later in my life and stopped thinking about Dale Carnegie - I was out of the fast-paced business world. However, now in a leadership role, I was searching for strategies to motivate my employees. I decided to turn to an old friend for advice - I read this book again, after all these years. It did not disappoint!

4. Amazing book - lots of errors - I love this book, it’s fantastic. However, in this version there are TONS of missing words, spelling errors and improper grammar. Normally, it wouldn’t be a big deal. But since it’s about people skills, let’s see how much damage can be done with an example. There is an enormous difference between: A. Let’s eat, grandma.
B. Let’s eat grandma. Great book. Read carefully.

5. Great Principles and Applications - This book has many tips to develop the person who desires to become a better “people person” and leader. The stories which are shared give the reader a sense of how to apply each principle. Personally, I am looking forward to practicing the material learned from this book and will benefit greatly from this read.

6. Wonderful book - This book really teaches you a lot of concepts in handling people and resolving conflict. This is an awesome book for those that are not well versed in that area or want to become better at it. The only thing I didn’t like is that there are a lot of grammatical and punctuation errors. I’m not sure if this is from transferring the text from the book to digital text, but it would be nice if it was revised.

7. Ridled with Typos - Yes I meant that. :) I’m sad to say that this edition of this book is riddled with typos. I find this to be quite disrespectful to the author who put much effort into this piece. Some of the mistakes are so bad, they render their respective notions incomprehensible. THAT is not cool. I feel there is no excuse for this level of consistent error in the days of digital reading—in theory, you could [run spellcheck and] update the edition instantly after another round of proof reading. We‘re already (and sadly) living in the days of the public beta. Why not update books after their release? And to do this to such an important piece of literature... these mistakes will live as long as this book, which is likely thru the end of human civilization. Sad. Glad I only paid $, although I expect media of this low grade to be free! Also, can someone please explain how a book published in X contains an anecdote about how Stevie Wonder became one of the great pop artists of the seventies? The author died in the s!

8. A MUST READ! - This is the second time I’ve read this book. It is a must read for sure one of my favorite books of all time. And I’m sure I’m going to read it for the third time! Dale Carnegie has such savvy advice that works for businesses and employers home everywhere you’ll find your self you can apply as savvy advice. A couple of days ago my wife and I updated our cell phones. The associate that helped us never smiled the whole time she was helping us. I made it a point to remember her name. At the end of the transaction I made sure I said her name during the time we finish the transaction and guess what I got her to smile! It was a smile of pure delight that I remembered her name. Her face lit up like sunshine! And when I was walking out the store she said have a great day and said my name as well. I can go on and on how this really works in many other situations but this narrative may get a little too long. And boy this really works like magic!

9. Everything you will learn in this book works - I was texting a girl while reading the book and our relationship was amazing at first went out a few times before but slowly our conversations started to become less frequent and eventually it seemed like we didn’t even want to speak to each other. I decided to try out the principles that Dale Carnegie covers and as expected it actually worked out. Our conversations are fun and thriving all by me tweaking myself slightly. Instead of speaking about myself and my personal experiences I listen to her and in turn, she tells me everything. Thank you to Dale Carnegie for an amazing book

10. Definitely work the read - Many of these ideas have been re-hashed since the book was written but they so stand the test of time. If you want to truly motivate people this is a good starting point. Some of the examples feel dated now and he is a superfluous when it comes to providing real life example but those being the book’s only faults. I tend to be a very direct leader who can forget not everyone operates that way. This has helped me be more mindful of how to motivate people overall and in a positive manner specifically.

11. How to win friends and influence people - The content of this book is phenomenal. Dale Carnegie was an amazing man with a keen insight into humanity. As far as books go, this is a must read for everyone. As far as this particular edition, it is riddled with spelling and grammar errors caused by scanning software deficiencies and a lack of any proofreading effort, whatsoever. If you wish to suffer poor English in lieu of a cheap price, this is the version for you. If you prefer to read a book with proper grammar and punctuation, I would recommend paying more in the hopes that the people who are selling it have also read it, and were smart enough to correct the hundreds of errors.

12. Practical Help in Human Relations - This book is full of examples of how successful people handle human relations. Split up by practical principles, each chapter will challenge your thoughts on human relations and have you thinking of ways you could apply the content tomorrow. I would highly recommend this book. I did not agree with everything in it, but even where I disagreed, the way in which the content was presented made me reevaluate and occasionally even readjust my position on a matter. Overall, this book was very helpful and extraordinarily practical.

1. Decent Book About Time Management - The first half of this book was filled with gems on managing time better. One of the biggest takeaways was to focus on one major task everyday, proving to be more effective than trying to accomplish - things everyday. The other half of the books was stale imo, not as many gems just advice on resources to save time.

2. Great for young adults - As a twenty year old college student, life happens fast. You can get so caught up in everything to do and lose track of what you could be. This book has been a real eye opener. I have been feeling as though my life has been missing some happiness and purpose. This book has given me the wisdom to slow down and ask the hard questions. Very eye opening and well written!

3. Lots of Hyperlinks and Repetition, But Worthwhile - % of the book is comprised of hyperlinks to sites that the author thinks are interesting. Of the remainder, there is a good amount of repetition of philosophy about work/life balance and there is encouragement to live a particular lifestyle. It's a decent book and it motivated me, but I was turned off by certain parts.

4. Don't believe this awful book - This book is absolutely horrible and dangerous. My husband and I purchased it after he retired from the military and it's the most delusional, unrealistic and dangerous advice we've ever read. The author is a self serving, deceiving manipulator that makes money off of lying to people. It's completely disrespectful to hard working people that actually care about others and their families.

5. How Life Should Be Lived - I can't say enough about what this book can give you the freedom to do. If you hate the - rat race, never liked being an employee, thought there was more to life than working to live and living to work then this book might be exactly the tool to get you out of the mundane cycle of employment we're all taught is the 'smart' or 'safe' route. If you are small minded, insecure or afraid to really experience the world and what you are capable of, do not read this book. You will hate it. Stick to your routine and grumble your way through life. This is for those ready to really live.

6. Life changing - This book forever changed the way that I look at time management. Tim highlights common self defeating habits that many of us do on a daily basis and gives actionable steps for how to remedy them. He also gives great advice for navigating office politics, traveling the world on little money, and just generally getting everything we all want out of this thing called life.

7. Excited about what's to come! - I couldn't put this down. It really spoke to me and I started practicing some of the steps immediately upon reading them. I've learned to automate, delegate, and extricate myself from some of the mundane at work. I was encouraged because it worked! This is a must-read and will become a favorite book of mine to gift.

8. Practical, realistic and encouraging - I'm not in the "corporate" world but I found Tim's information and advise very applicable to me. As a public school teacher, I have limits but the concepts of "mini-retirements" just made my summers a whole lot more interesting. With the tips, I can now put a plan in place to spend at least weeks doing something adventurous. Thanks, Tim!

I Highly recommend that you read this book now. I wish I would have found this book years ago! Learn how to liberate yourself from the - grind and live the life you were meant to live!

10. Wow - I am currently in a work for work's sake position and have been doing so for the last years. This book has opened my eyes and reminded me that there is more out there besides work more/earn more. I have begun putting these principles in place and am starting to see results. I am nervous, scared, excited, curious, and optimistic what the future holds for my family.

11. Awesome book with one complaint - I love the book. It was a great easy read and has definitely made me think about how I can more automate my income and business to give me more time and money to do the things I enjoy. My only negative regrading the book is the minimalist or somewhat small thinking in terms of the end goals. For most, maybe extended travel would be enough to satisfy or a simplistic lifestyle jet setting with low cost fares would be great but for those of you who want opulence and riches beyond belief the book will help you get started and may get you there but it plays down the idea of true wealth too much. To some the goal is to not simply do but to so so opulently as well. Still, I found the book highly insightful and helpful and plan to put the principles, and there are many, to use immediately. Great read.

12. The -Hour Workweek - This book has the power to change your life! This is something everyone should own. Worth every penny! When you are done reading it, you will unlock the secrets of how to live life, be successful, and enjoy your time on earth all at the same time. You will break the chains of slavery of the American work force.

13. Living Proof - The -Hour Workweek has changed my life forever. In fact, our family is currently on a -month around-the-world journey, inspired and fueled by Ferris' principles (I'm writing this review in Prague, while my business back home foots the bill). Highly recommended not just for those seeking to escape the Rat Race, but for anyone seeking to make their business or life more efficient and rewarding.

14. Possibilities are endless! - This book isn't just about a four hour work week. I think it has information that can help people become more efficient at their current job. It also inspired me to think of additional sources of income that I can explore. Tim is brilliant! It is a good read just to see his thought process.
2011-04-28
15. Excellent! - This book is very controversial to the status quo! Which means this is a very good book to read since the majority of people are full of mindless drivel and easily dismiss things as nonsense especially if it requires one to take a new perspective on something as deeply rooted in ones psyche as their profession or in most cases their life since most people associate their life to their job! Answer this question. What do you do? If you would normally answer this question with your job title or the company you work for you should probably read this book. But then again don't take my word for it this is again your life. Good luck

2. I love this book - This book was very insightful and eye opening on a lot of things. Although at times it got boring and repetitive, the author quickly grabbed my attention again by revealing factual details about subjects like love, healing, friendships, relationships, and many others. It is very easy to understand and well written.
