1. Interesting - The only gripe I have is that the songs thus far sound nothing different from what ABR has been doing for years now. But why fix what ain't broken? Interesting that they decided to feature Spencer Chamberlain, especially since he's now an atheist and a huge jerk. I wonder how his anti-Christ views sat with the band members' beliefs in the studio, and vice versa. I look forward to this album!

1. Metal Kingdom - As the gates open the world will see a sea of metalheads as far as the eyes can see. Standing strong with no fear or regret. We together fight for this genre and take on anyone who stands in our way. Plus anyone who doesn’t like what BabyMetal represents then that person doesn’t respect music from all cultures or metal in general.

1. Why Reinvent Perfection? - I felt the same ambivalence about this record as I did when Bon Jovi ‘re-imagined’ their hits catalog by stripping them down to simple acoustics on ‘This Left Feels Right’. Bruce Springsteen has repeatedly done the same thing over the years. I get it. But most times records of ‘reinvented’ or ‘reimagined’ masterpieces feel more like a band fulfilling their recording contract with their th out of records. It’s a testament to U that these greatly unrecognizable renditions stand on their own as significant masterpieces no matter how they were produced. But given a choice between this and new material, I’d trade this release for new material any day.

2. The haters are narrow-minded. - U weren’t out to replace the original versions of the songs presented here. Those original recordings still exist. The band didn’t set out to “improve” the songs. This is about finding intimacy in these songs, as many of them, The Edge explained, the band have outgrown. The band didn’t butcher anything, they experimented with their craft. That is what all good artists do. And it’s not like U don’t have new music on the way. And this isn’t a cash grab, because the project took a lot of effort to create in the first place. A lot of experimentation. The trouble is, the people who trash talk “Songs of Surrender” don’t know how to appreciate music made in this fashion. They want everything to be the same. They don’t know how to accept change, and frankly, as with ANY U album, this one will take many listens before it will sink in for the listener and the listener will like it. And that’s okay. This is music made by ARTISTS; not Billboard top pop crap made for people with no taste. This is ART.

3. Interesting but…. - what am I listening too??? Re-recordings their best songs? I don’t like what I have heard so far. They should focus on new music. Now I have heard the entire disc it is a dud. I love most of the originals and love when a band mixes it up a little in concert. It this just drags on. Not even inventive. Everything is just slower and the edge in the songs has been removed. Zzzzzzzzzz. PS. Move on from the “Songs of……” theme. It has gotten old. Do something original again.

4. All Acoustic Grown Up - Very risky to put out this type of music, knowing that there would be a lot of people that would not be willing to accept it from one of the biggest rock bands ever. I loved the stripped down versions, some were better than others, but overall I am pleased with these versions. Talented artists will always step outside their comfort zone, and clearly, U doesn’t have to prove anything to their public. They are all grown up, and I’m digging it.

5. Interesting, but ... - It's interesting that many musicians have used the time of the pandemic to review their catalogues and write some really interesting new songs music, U has chosen to reflect on older songs and revisit some stripped arrangements of them. Some of these revisits are worth a listen, others are not. I'll probably listen to these on YouTube rather than chosing to buy this collection, but I am impressed by their effort as always.
2023-03-21
6. A new perspective - I admit, that as a diehard U fan for over years, some of these songs are a shock to my system when first hearing them. However, similar to how I’ve seen them rework songs numerous times in concert to give us a new perspective, these are very special in their own right. Lou Reed and Frank Sinatra would be proud. (As the band has confirmed were just as influential on U as the ’s punkers that shaped their original sound.)
2023-03-21
7. Pandemic Album - This review comes from a lifelong U fan. One word. Disappointing. U should have spent the pandemic composing a new album instead of redoing old songs. Waste of time ruining great songs. Life is short. Bono should know that and he should have written new songs during the pandemic. U had the time and opportunity to create another Joshua Tree or Achtung Baby album and be the GOAT of the music industry. They are still me favorite band, but they blew it on this one.
2023-03-21
8. Not for Everyone, but I Love It! - If you can’t appreciate these artists doing what they do, then don’t go see them (or any artist for that matter) live. What Bono and the Edge are doing here is simply experimenting with their own music. How is that any different than doing what many bands have done over the years when releasing cover albums? They’re just doing it with their own songs and I think several of them are just as good, possibly even better, than the originals. Love it! Well done Bono and the Edge. Can’t wait to hear. These versions in Vegas.
2023-03-21
9. Listen Before You Review - Been a fan for years, have seen U times over tours. I love the dark, gritty, 's U the most, so I was very skeptical of a more acoustic reimagining of past songs. But I was SO wrong. This surpasses my expectations in every way and then some. The sad part is that U haters will come and bash them without listening to a single full song. Other will bash them after hearing the first or songs released early. The truth that over half of these reviews were written before the album was released. And if you just go through and listen to clips, you don't have any idea about this album. The full songs shift and change in ways that you don't see coming. Sadly WOWY is one of the weaker songs on the album. but there are that are pure magic. Just phenomenal. Stories for Boys is jawdropping, O'Clock Tick Tock, Out of Control, Bad, The Fly, Still Haven't Found, Stay, Dirty Day, Invisible, Little Things, Stuck... The list goes on and on. There is absolutely beautiful work here, with maybe songs that I would consider not so great.

10. A refreshing take on some of their great songs - Die hards I think will like this album. I wouldn’t really classify this as a new album as they are re-recording their old tunes.
I really enjoyed this especially driving through the American Southwest (of which U drew some of their inspiration on a few of these songs) on a recent road trip. Love the new version of Pride, Dirty Day, Until the End of the World, Desire, Two Hearts Beast as One. Are they as good as the originals?- maybe not but it is nonetheless refreshing and uplifting to hear these re recorded songs with new instruments and beats. More please!

11. Recycle symbol - (put it in the trash and be done with it) - I so wanted to enjoy but it's weird that a seminal bandmember and the key to so much amazing percussion (Irish!) is not on the interpretation of the old songs. There's some great reinterpretations but I'm hard pressed to name a standout. I remember as a freshman in college jogging (running!) with a Sony Walkman listening to Boy and and later, War. Their continued evolution was amazing and so enjoyable. Achtung Baby still resonates with me to this day, albeit driving listening to it on the car stereo with an old iPod. This just falls so flat that I'm saddened but encourages me to reignite the old albums again.
2023-03-20
12. Barf Emoji - I grew up with these guys, but this is boring and pretentious. Unplugged is one thing, but this is something else. Sometimes people think they will sound more profound if they speak softly and slowly. It might be tolerable if it were new songs or if they took old songs and reimagined them into different genres. Make one a reggae song, make one a punk song. Whoever came up with the idea to make every one droning with minimal instumentation shows a lack of imagination. I'm not enjoying leaving a bad review, but this whole exercise is not fun.
2023-03-20
13. look at the dates of the review-bombs, people - This album was released //. Look at how many -star reviews with maybe one word like "Ugh" or "Horrible" were written BEFORE THE ALBUM CAME OUT. The -star reviews don't talk about the album, while the longer and more thoughtful reviews DO talk about it. Will most of these versions REPLACE the classic versions? No. But there's a place in the world for a U Songbook Unplugged album. The changed lyrics are a mixed bag. Hard to get used to, but I'm just taking it for what it is--not the "finished" versions Bono claims, just a "where U in their s are feeling about songs written when they were younger." But I've always loved U unplugged. The unplugged Stuck in a Moment has always been better than the album version. And for people saying "record something new," U has put out more recent albums of new material than just about any act of their age that you could name. So chill. This was their pandemic unplugged version. And it's cool to hear the songs without the bombast. Some of the stuff from forward has been overproduced to the point where unplugged and live versions are better than the albums.
2023-03-20
14. Mixed bag, literally. - Growing up in the s you had the one cassette and maybe you were fortunate enough to see them live. years later im not a fan of alternate versions from WAR, Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby and even Rattle and Hum. To me its like an artist from The Voice is trying to "make it there own". A Beautiful Day sounds a lot like the original as well. And for that reason, i'm out.
2023-03-20
15. Throw in the towel, it’s time to Surrender - I understand the tie in to Bono’s book. But, they supposedly have lots of new material to record, and they come up with this? I bought the first album in the month it was released back in , and have bought everything since, but will skip this one. Yes, U, I have spent thousands on shows and albums and given you a great life, as you often thank your fans, but no more. Give something back that is new and % original, not un-plugged versions.
2023-03-20
16. U Re-imagined - Beautiful. Inspiring. It’s an incredible reworking of their songs and their classics that are now different. But at the same token, it follows the same path as an “unplugged” album that so many bands use to do and we loved. Streets and Stories for Boys stand out. So do City of Blinding Lights and With or Without You and The Fly. Keep the originals in mind, but don’t for a second believe it’s simply “stripped down” versions of those songs. These are different. And I think most fans, especially after a few listens, will find this collection to be extraordinary
2023-03-20
17. Do NOT pay for this!!! - This is a big hot mess! Absolutely a waste of time listening to. We all have these songs, we don’t need to re-buy them. There is really nothing worth checking out here. It was a painful hours plus listening to this. Is this U saying they are done? Cannot think of something new to do? Or is the mighty Bono done? Stream this hot garbage first before you pay money for it.
2023-03-20
18. I am all in!! - I really enjoy hearing them reimagine these songs. You can see each member’s personality in the songs that they chose and the manner in which they were rearranged. My personal favorite is Edge’s. I’m a car singer, and this collection is lots of fun to croon to on the road. Lots of artists did vanity projects during COVID, and this surely isn’t among the worst.
2023-03-20
19. Stripped down and acoustic - Some of these are better than the originals! At first I was suspicious they were re-recording old songs as a gimmick, but the new documentary A Sort of Homecoming puts this recording project into perspective. They wanted to capture the sound they have when performing live in the present day. I have always been a fan of U live shows more than the studio albums and I have quite a collection of live show bootlegs for that very reason. The live songs really do sound different from the studio albums we all got used to on the radio. This collection captures the magic of the loudest Irish folk band ever. If you enjoy the U concert experience, which always includes a stripped down acoustic segment where they slow down and create a floating dreamscape, this collection is awesome.

1. Great Album - I love Sam’s voice. Just shows that u don’t have to be born w/ the ability to sing but could be coached to as well. I was a fan since the hunger games but now a fan of the music as well. Riley’s voice is also great just shows the Presley family truly is a family of talented artists
2023-03-08
2. Aurora by Daisy Jones and The Six - I was anticipating this album as it seemed so real while reading the book, however, actually listening to the tunes I am deeply disappointed. Each tune set to the lyrics sounds exactly the same. I expected more variety of sound, some folk, some rock, some authenticity to what Daisy was writing in the novel.
The best song to me is More Fun To Miss, only because it doesn't sound like all the other songs. Riley Keogh has a great voice.
All the voices are great, the songs themselves just meh. Sorry, it's just how I feel about them.

1. Fleetwood Mac ...The Best - Great album... Have it from iTunes and the LP. Saw them at Boston Garden , Also the time when they filmed live for their DVD, which I also have! Rest in peace Christy McVie... you will be missed.
BTW, Mic Fleetwood has his restaurant on Maui, Hawaii. Have eaten there several times.

2. Please guys - - This is not incomplete & it’s not “short of perfect”…it’s a VALUE… It’s still loaded. HOFers & songs we all know and love from every doctor’s, dentist’s, specialist’s office, and even other places ss LOATHE and they make it worth it. People dinging this for that, go away. If you pieced this together it would cost double.

3. Best Band in History - An exceptional album full of songs that showcase the talents of the best band in history. It provides a great variety of songs that showcase the talents of each and every musician. Any Fleetwood Mac song could easily have made it onto this album, as each song is beautiful and transcending in its own particular way. (In my opinion, Landslide would have made an enormous contribution to this record.) Their music continues to inspire generations and will live on forever and always.

4. Deceptive Title - Calling this FW’s “Greatest Hits” is both deceptive and a bit insulting, in that it focuses on favorites from their top seller, “Rumors,” while largely ignoring almost all of their earlier work. In particular, it neglects the period when Danny Kirwan played guitar for the band, especially some excellent music from their “Bare Trees” album. That’s a shame. There are certainly some excellent songs in this collection, but don’t mistake it for a true “best of” in breadth or quality.

1. Great album - If you’re early (boomer) that’s me. These are the songs in the bars and clubs back in the day. Plus on MTV, ALL THE TIME! Love it that they compiled this cd. OF COURSE there are no bigger bands on here. Licensing, copyright and all that. Besides if you liked those bands you have a CD (or four or five) by now anyway. No point in rating this one star.

2. Hoping There’s a , , , , - This is an AWESOME start to what could be many more albums. Every song on here is great! I could make AT LEAST more out of songs I already have. There’s a lot of good songs and bands missing, but hopefully more will be made. People are upset because certain artists aren’t on here and I get that. But it’s NO reason to rate this album star. This is still an album FULL of super great songs! So / from me. Hope there’s more to come! BTW to StonerBeachBum, LIVE is on this album. lol.

3. I might add... - I have all of these songs on their respective cd's, bought over years ago. Once upon a time we would have had to spend over $ to have these songs (or considerably less if you knew how to work the subscription record company BMG by canceling and starting a new subscription a few months later). Otherwise a solid 's post grunge sampling of mid to late decade songs. I would add "Flagpole Sitta" from Harvey Danger and "Bound For The Floor" from Local H as & .

4. I mean... - These were successful songs. Really. But there's no Nirvana or Pearl Jam or Soundgarden or Smashing Pumpkins. I mean. Come on. That's like "Now That's What I Call s Rock" without the Beatles, Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Cream. Oh, you got Lit? Great. I mean...I get it. The bands probably declined to be on the compilation. But if you can't get those bands on board. I mean...just cancel the compilation.

1. Don’t Think So - Those who follow the pop rock version of Journey may accept this as a “greatest hits” release, but nothing on it compares with the material on their first three releases. Pre-Steve Perry releases “Journey”, “Look Into The Future” and “Next” showcased a band with talent that was bold enough to release sophisticated rock and roll music. Everything after these three was treated as a music company product instead of creativity by musicians.
2022-04-18
2. Out of this world VOCALS - Steve Perry’s lead vocals soar out of this world with impeccable range and scale. Notes that can’t even be reached by the best vocalist of today. Add in legendary guitar from Neal Schon & Johnathan Cain’s beautiful piano/synth skills. Also incredible and recognizable bass playing from Ross Valory. Of course have to mention Steve Smith’s one of kind drumming patterns and rhythm. This was PEAK Journey and how legendary they were & will always be for generations to come.

3. Best band ever! - I fell in love with Journey and Steve Perry’s voice in high school more than years ago - and I have never stopped loving them. These songs are the tracks that give rhythm and meaning to much of my life. I was lucky enough to see them in person with Steve Perry back in the mid s o n their Raised on Radio tour. What an amazing band, both live and in the studio. Whatever your age, do yourself a favor and buy this album. You won’t regret it.

1. Almost There - Great selection of CCR songs, but tragically omits "Born on the Bayou." How is that possible? Could easily remove "Lodi" or "Commotion" if they had to keep it at . Also "Midnight Special" should be on here, though it's another cover (I like it better than "Heard It Through the Grapevine," as is doesn't really stand up against Marvin Gaye's version).

2. Makes me feel young - Grew up with this music and loved it real time when it was released. Recently wife and I saw John Fogerty live in Indianapolis and he was amazing. years old and he had the most energy on the stage that night. Played or so of these CCR hits and I had to download this (previously had bought on vinyl and cassette).
Great music and great memories

3. - I was born in the ’s and I love this. I love the oldies (but goodies) I even love some of the music that were even before the ’s And proud of it and some ’s. but early to somewhat mid ’s music not really so much as good. Much need and wanted are the times when mtv played actual music videos and any this else that was music related. I am even good at naming a Song,The artist/band and even album for some of them. I remember the era of cassettes, and CD players in cars (not a good time for that during this age) and I wanted and still do want to own an tracks and player same with cassettes, I already own a record player and records (The good old days-miss it-).

4. Nostalgic &Amazing - Not sure why this CCR Greatest hits album got any negative reviews. Yes this was my parents music-especially my dads (who passed early unfortunately) yet it is amazing regardless. So many good memories growing up hearing these songs. Great lyrics, music and an unforgettable voice.

5. Lost album - I’m certain I have this album on my iPad, but iTunes Store claims otherwise. There are also two copies of this album being sold on here and neither version says I bought any of the songs. Yet when I open my music storage on my iPad the whole album is on here. Is this a side effect of their new Apple Music (which I don’t have)? Or is greed motivating this? I’ve also had this problem with movies I buy on here. If it’s a glitch PLEASE FIX the problem between Apple store and the actual files. [Posted //]

1. One of my favorite albums! - A couple years ago () I listened to More Than a Feeling on the radio (.), but some other Boston songs on the radio I didn’t like as much (at the time). But then, sometime this year (), I decided to check out the whole debut album, and I loved it! Here’s the list of all the songs ranked from least to greatest: : Let Me Take You Home Tonight It’s a great song, but it’s slower than the others. : Something About You It has a better feeling (to me) than Let Me Take You Home Tonight. : Rock & Roll Band It’s a nice, short song. The way they describe their band in the lyrics is great! : More Than A Feeling As I said before, I used to like this song a lot, but as much now. That doesn’t mean I haven’t stopped listening to it. : Smokin’ It has a really good feeling of rock and roll! : Hitch A Ride Beautiful song. : Peace Of Mind You could listen to this song like every day! : Foreplay/Long Time This is my favorite because it is basically a part song. I like the Foreplay part better, but the Long Time part sounds awesome, too!

2. Man this brings back memories - I used to drive around a lot with my dad, and he would always turn on this old rock and roll. Boston, the doobies, other bands like these, and just rock out driving down the road. There is no match for s and s rock. This pop and rap garbage being shelled out right now is unacceptable. We need to get back to when It was fine to listen to music that didn’t try to teach you something. Just listen to good music people.

3. Classic rock at its finest - One of the best, if not the best, classic rock bands and albums of all time. This is one of the albums that grabs you immediately with the first song and first listen, then holds you through to the very last note of the very last song. Stellar vocals and songwriting, as well as killer harmonies, guitar and just incredible talent and musicianship. An absolute must have for any fan of music or classic rock!

4. Album - A Perfect out of - Most than years later, the album is still one of the top debut albums & overall albums ever produced. Every song is perfect. Yes, Scholz is a genius and yes a bit out there, and Brad’s vocals (RIP) were amazing. s and s rock music will never be duplicated.
I’m so glad to have lived and love Rock music at this time.

5. ‘stillrockin - I grew up in the s and this was my favorite group for many years. I’ve listened to ever song they ever produced many times over and the first album is sooo good I still have to rock out to it all the way through. In I was fortunate enough to have been able to attend the final Boston concert by all the original members at the Joyce center at the Noter Dame university campus. Now I’ve attended more that concerts in my life and that was still the greatest show I’ve ever seen. It almost breaks my heart that they never made another recording together. One of the greatest ROCK n ROLL Band of all time. Buy this and turn it up loud and have fun. Perfect vocals, perfect guitars and great song writing. Always takes me back to my youth.

6. Awesome Band, Awesome Album - Boston is one of the greatest and most classic rock and roll bands to come out of the ’s. It is only bad politics that have kept them from the Rock Hall of Fame. Put on a pair of headphones and listen to the quality and fullness of this sound. The guitar and vocals are so clean and pure that you will get lost in the wonder of such great music. It is too bad music isn’t composed like this anymore. It is definitely an era gone by.

7. Underrated album - I love this album and my favorite songs are peace of mind and more than a feeling. When brad goes high on vocals ( she slipped away), I try to do the same but fail . This is just good music. This band was considered pop but I think it is soft rock if not wrong. I’m only but I still love this better than the other stuff produced today. Just good soft rock and peaceful music:)

1. Iconic Rock Album - I grew up in the 's and this album hit. It blew everyone away then and it still blows young people away today, not to mention the now older folks who loved it in the 's - like me! This is a quintessential rock album that belongs in any rock and roller's collection. It encompasses all the human emotions in such a beautiful way. The musicianship was, and is amazing to this day. Nobody could out perform this band in their day. I say that as someone who liked Fleetwood Mac, but not someone in love with them. Don't subscribe to the album, don't borrow it, or listen to it on YouTube, buy it! Have it, enjoy it, take it with you wherever you go. It's what it was made for.

2. FLAWLESS - This album is flawless in every way. Singing, writing, lyrics and band members. This will always remain a classic album for everyone’s playlist. If you like folk, rock, disco, country etc, it’s all here for you. This is an album you want on your deserted island list. A true GEM RIP Christine McVie Your beautiful song writing and music was the main hand of Fleetwood Mac. You’ll always be remembered for your incredible work and the wonderful person you were. A true Legend

3. What’s not a rumor is that This was one of the best Albums ever made! - Fleetwood Mac gives the term Tortured Artist Lots of Musical Creativity as Seemingly the Rumors Album was created by Fleetwood Mac out of, lacking in better terms, Personal Turmoil! I wouldn’t know what was happening though wise here but we did greatly eternal pop pout of this like “Go your own way” among other gems! There’s Replay value here to this day!

4. There the best - Stevie Nicks has the voice, of a angel. A voice to fall in love with. If you don’t like Fleetwood Mac you don’t like music. I so wish we had this type of music today, most new music, should have never went to a recording studio. I’ll always listen to the old music, it has a backbone

5. First album I’ve bought, weird... - I’ve usually listened to music online (Spotify, Amazon Music, SoundCloud) or by very crude pirating (recording songs on the radio), but when I finally decided to really buy something, I decided to get what I think is quite possibly one of the best albums ever. It brings back memories for me too, I remember listening to Fleetwood Mac when we would go to vacation in Michigan. I’m in high school now, going to college very soon and these songs really bring me comfort not just memories of “happier times,” but also a really nice easy listening experience, I think of riding to the convenient store at pm with my Grandpa, uncle and sister and hearing this on the radio in our old car. It’s still one of my favorites. So essentially this album means a lot to me, so perhaps I may be a bit biased when I say this album is simply wonderful.

6. A True Rock Classic - Inspired by destructive break-ups and ’s drugs, Rumours is an icon of music mastery that never was equaled. The songs stand each clearly on their own, yet are meant to be played in succession. I’d bet my life’s savings that each of the songwriters do not claim a Rumours’ song as their favorite. The struggle of making the album comes across in each and every song and result in a powerfully emotional, if not beautifully bitter, album that will touch you through memories of your own. Not to be duplicated again by the band, enjoy the journey that is “Rumours”.

7. The Best Album Created by The Best Band Created - Fleetwood Mac is my all time favorite band. They are no doubt one of the greatest bands of all time. They created so many masterpieces. Rumours is the best one. It's one of the best albums of all time. People still buy it to this day, years later. This legendary album will go on forever.

8. A classic, and definitely worth the money. - This is easily the best Fleetwood Mac album, and one of the greatest rock albums of all time. All of the songs on this album feel so real, simply because they are, with these songs coming from the hearts of the writers. I sing along to almost every single one of these songs, and I would definitely recommend it.

9. A Classic Masterpiece - Anyone growing up in the late s and s who listened to music had this album. Fleetwood Mac had the sound and the gift of writing catchy but meaningful songs. There's not a bad song on this album. In this day and age, it would be nice if there was another band with the cohesive sound and style of the likes of Fleetwood Mac and Doobie Brothers; thankfully such music is only an iPhone away.

10. Crisp tight perfection - We all know we like the songs I listened to them since "oh well " peter green days. Enjoy the songs but once you know them listen carefully and you will hear such an amazing arrangement such perfect in time meshing, especially sara oh daddy gol dust woman many more. Half way thru sara there is this sustained tension overlapping layers it just hangs there then it releases and shifts into next gear with this sizzle from mike's drum kit like a wave breaking out of the bridge into next verse so well worked out and smooth

11. "Best 's POP/Rock Album" - Nobody expected this re-boot of "Fleetwood Mac" to work! They were a hard rocking blues band! However, This album shook up music in the 's! Every song is a hit! A "Once in a Lifetime" Album! Just with "Dreams, Don't Stop & Gold Dust Woman" Alone? Your money is well spent, the rest is gravy! If you're young? I know you'll like this cd! It's not dated! It's "POP/Rock" Music at it's best! It sounds as good today, as it did back in ! Forget The Year? Listen To It? For It's Great Musical Quality & "Style"!

1. Take It To The Limit - Everytime i hear this song i get tears in my eyes cause it reminds me of when i did a day camp ossipee run and what started me thinking was going back to camp shore with ashley my new friend when in my mind this song was there yet i made a return trip for a night stay before being acquired by the stockton panthers

2. Eagles Greatest Hit - - Great Album!! I read several of the “Most Critical reviews” criticizing it because it didn’t include “Hotel California “. They obviously didn’t realize that Hotel California wasn’t produced by the Eagles until a few years later. Could be that they didn’t grow up in the ’s?

3. Ahead of their time - I’ve cut my teeth on these songs
And it’s hard to believe some of these songs on this album were not even released as a single— like Desperado— The Eagles were way ahead of there time— the beats, tight harmonies, and so on which led this album to be one of the greatest of all time in Rock....

4. Classic Eagles - What a great album. To those complaining about Hotel California being missing: It ain't here because this album came out before Hotel California was released. I always laugh at a story my brother tells: At an Eagles concert in LA in late ', the audience, expecting to hear all the awesome songs on THIS album, booed heavily when the Eagles started with "something new we've been working on". The new song was Hotel California. The audience was mystified and confused - it wasn't what they came to hear.

5. Favorite album of all time - This is my definition of a perfect album. There is not one song that I have the urge to skip while listening to it. Sure it may not have some of the Eagles later hits, like hotel California, but they were not recorded at the time the album was released. Overall, it's an amazing album. I would have spent $ on it if I had to

6. Their best - REVISED REVIEW: At one point I thought that a good Remastered version would fix some sound issues, but now, having purchased a Remastered version of their eponymous first album on CD, I realize that the noticeably poor sound quality of the guitar solo in Peaceful Easy Feeling is actually a part of the original recording. I’ll blame the sound engineer on that one. The band themselves aren’t to blame. Stars.

7. Eagles Eagles Eagles - One of the best rock n roll groups ever years together in one collaboration or another. Don Henley & Glenn Frye are in the top or better of Rock n Roll Song writing teams probably rd behind only Lennon/McCartney, & Ashford/Simpson. This Is evidently the best selling Greatest Hits album of theirs now even though I think their best ever is the Very Best of the Eagles only because it encompasses their whole career.

8. Timeless Music - This compilation of classic songs showcases the multiple talents behind this awesome group! I became a diehard fan as a child and remain a loyal fan decades later. I am ecstatic that my -year-old niece and her -year-old sister are Eagles fans! Goes to show how timeless Eagles music truly is.

1. The best - These are the best from Billy Joel in my opinion. I was never a huge fan. But I used to hear his music when I was a kid. I grew up with it. Uptown Girl was my favorite back then and now you can add others to that list. This is for any person that likes Billy Joel and any age can listen to it.

2. Bully Joel the Best Teen Idol I Ever Heard - Boy would like to see him live as the singer and the piano man. He's always telling it like it is in life through humid tunes and talents. He is not telling us just what we want to hear, but, through his own legendary career in music telling us how life is and how it is supposed to be. I would buy his albums and sing his River of Dreams in a talent show, after all, that song came on the radio five months after I had graduated College in . Just before the other nonsense that means nothing started to hit the airwaves in the late ''s until today. He is definitely to be corronated the king of music. People in the generation after me should buy and listen to his music. Maybe they might learn something about real music and what life really is.

3. Amazing Compilation Album - This is one of my favorite Billy Joel compilation albums! However, the weirdest thing happened to me. I was listening to New York State of Mind and it had saxophone parts that are not on the original version of the song and then at minutes or so the song just skips to the next song. Anyway I love this album and Highly recommend it

4. Uptown girl rocks - I know music but that song is not music it's a guy wishing he gets a rich girl to date him that's are dreams I mean we all dream of dating some one rich or famous uptown girl is his dream of some one he wants to date I mean in the song he shows he loves her he's madly in love. 1. Skeletons - I am from Michigan so I have have been listening to Pop Evil since the beginning… I love that they are still releasing new music. I have seen them times live; they are better in smaller venues but still a solid band. I like most of the tracks on this new album especially “Dead Reckoning”, it’s an in your face hard rock song then on the flip they do a ballad like “Worth It”. I recommend getting it if your fan… feel like this band should be bigger.

2. Finally good hard rock - This is literally the style that works best for them. I cannot believe they never went with the heavy instrumentals and big chorus approach in a whole album before. Now if the songs after eye of the storm were replaced with a really good slow song like torn into pieces then this album would be perfect but i cannot complain with all these bangers

1. This is not good metal - Metallica was a f’ing thrash!!! This is not thrash if you want to hear good metal go listen to Megadeth. Dave Mustaine was IN Metallica and they kicked him out with out even a goddamn plane ticket. Then after being kicked out he formed Megadeth. Dave definitely deserves to be recognized.

2. Awesome album - This is definitely my go to album I mean dude come on wherever I may roam is absolutely amazing nothing else matters like James said in. Metallica documentary is about missing you’re chick on the road and brotherhood and the friendship he had with the band members then years ago and of course of wolf and man is definitely not talked about as much as most Metallica songs enter sandman Is great to %

3. The Soundtrack to my ’s - This release delivers on so many levels and still holds it’s own many years later. Watch and learn from the masters kids. The songs are strong and the engineering superb. I knew the day I heard “Battery” from Master of Puppets, they were going to blow up big time. Thanks Metallica for setting the bar so high that it cannot be touched even today.

4. While a departure from their early sound.... - And yes!!! Much like a huge majority, I think Metallica's first albums are stellar. This album still rocks!!! Sure, it's a HUGE departure from their early sound. However, if you look at how far Metallica has come and the success they have had as a band, it's in large part because they took chances and a band must evolve if they will grow as artists and an artist can't just keep painting from the same pallet. Otherwise, they become boring and predictable. I had my skepticisms when this album first came out, but the songs really grow on you. It's a great album and one of their most successful selling albums. million sold!! x platinum!!! That is million people who bought, listen to and love this album. One of the highest selling albums of all time. Just saying.

5. Sellouts - I know this is going to ruffle feathers, but I’m going to call it for what it is, a sellout P.O.S.
Heavy metal used to be an exclusive club, until this album came out. Then every soccer mom had this playing from her mini van while picking up junior from school. They sold their souls for radio friendly rock.

6. BIKER METAL HEAVEN. - Quite possibly the best biker metal record ever. This record moves and sounds like a confident beast. Like a fat boy Harley Davidson. Around this time there was a biker metal movement that went on from to like . Testament , megadeth and Metallica were the leaders. This is a record that is a must own for anyone that likes hard rock , heavy metal and biker culture. Obviously AC/DC the black album was an influence in this records no none sense approach. A must own.

7. and blows the roof off to this day - Great album and songs . A great metal album . It's metallica what more can I say after this album came albums that I don't count . Then death magnetic which was a good album .This had a lot of melody and in my opinion one of the best recordings the band actually had out of all their albums . All the people saying this is bad to this day the album sells , copies a week I guess they did something right . The best metal band period .Game changer of an album period.

8. Yes it’s not thrash - Metallica in the s went to becoming more of a heavy metal band compared to the thrash metal s. This album has some played to death songs (you know what they are), but also some of the best deep tracks. Holier than thou, Through the never, and TGTF especially are great songs. This is still a good metal album beyond the overplayed songs.
2021-01-31
9. One of my favorites. - I am aware of the irony in my review title, but this is my favorite Metallica album, second being Master, it has the perfect album structure. You have the signature song, “Enter Sandman”, the softer love song, “Nothing Else Matters”, the power ballad, “The Unforgiven”, the song that they named a tour after, “Wherever I May Roam”. You also have the promotional singles that are awesome and have a connection to the writer, “The God That Failed”. Overall it is what you think of when you think of album.
2020-10-23
10. The album - This is the album that Hetfeild learned to sing. That isn’t a bad thing. Some may look at it like they sold out and I would say that was the next album. Metallica filled my ears when I was a teen and while I don’t listen to much of there newer stuff. I’m a fan and will be for a life.
2020-07-05
11. Through the Never - Without being “too quick to criticize” the music too much, but this is where Metallica definitely stopped making speedier and politically/socially poignant songs to more radio acceptable metal pop. Seriously, a song about the bogeyman? Yo ho indeed. But it’s their band and they can do what they want, and they did a great job making pop metal. Doesn’t suit everyone’s tastes but at least they threw a small bone to old fans with through the never.

If you are a Disney fan, I HIGHLY, suggest listening to this. Can't wait for the sequel

5. Omg chills - I am a huge fan of Disney and Peyton Parrish didn’t disappoint. This album is one that I have been waiting for since he announced that he was going to do a Disney album. If you are a fan of a twist off the Disney classics and want to hear it in a different version then this whole album is for you. I cannot wait until he comes out with his next one.

And my mom would like if you would do “Friends on the Other Side” from Princess and the Frog.

1. Great, but could have had a few more songs... - U is AWESOME and this is a pretty good compilation of their 's hits. A little more could have been done to push it to stars though. First, the album is only minutes long, so putting the short versions of "New Year's Day" and "Streets" on it was a mistake. The full versions would have only made the album . minutes longer, and the full versions are SO MUCH better than the short versions. Second, the Japanese album included "One Tree Hill", which would bring the album to minutes. A CD holds just under minutes (this came out in when CDs were still the most common format of music), so this awesome song would have been great to have on all versions of the album. Third, there's still minutes left on the CD, and the album is lacking in music from U's first albums, so fill those minutes up with some early U! Sure, they didn't have any hits from their first albums, but "Out of Control" and "Gloria" would have been good additions. Yeah, that brings it up to about seconds longer than a CD will fit, so just shave a couple seconds off from some of the songs' fade-outs and then it all fits! And finally, fourth, the bonus disc of rare songs is only about an hour long, so fill that last minutes up with more rare songs. There's so many to choose from! Aside from that, it's a good album overall. stars!

2. The Best of - - This is one of my personal favorite U albums. This album has a great flow, track after track. Also, this album has great vocals, great drum solos, and great guitar solos as well. Finally, the instruments wrap around the vocals like no other, and intertwine perfectly. Definitely looking forward to the next limited play album, and extended play album from U.

1. The OG - Linking Park is hands down my favorite rock band of all time. I love most of their work, and even though “Minutes to Midnight” and “A Thousand Suns” are my favorite, this is what started it all. ‘In the end’ is their greatest song of all time. I don’t even think that’s up for debate.
2022-12-24
2. A Perfect Album. - Linkin Park at its best. The last two songs are the weakest but there’s a reason why this album is the best-selling rock album of the st century. Shinoda, Bennington, and Hahn flawlessly play to their strengths in an album that gets you going from the very first song “Papercut”.
2021-10-21
3. A Respectable Rap Metal Album - Nü-Metal and Rap Rock were in full swing by the time this album came out. I feel like Linkin Park is the only band besides Rage Against The Machine to fuse hip hop and metal well enough to not make it sound gimmicky or corny. There are many aspects I like the guitars are heavy, some of the riffs are pretty catchy but other times they’re kinda rudimentary. Chester Bennington is certainly a talented vocalist, the most talented guy in the band as far as I’m concerned. My gripes with this album are Mike Shinoda. I’ve never thought he was great rapper and his pen game is pretty weak as well. Also the lyrics can be a little too “suburban white boy” angsty for me. Overall it’s still one of the better albums to come out of the nü-metal subgenre
2020-11-01
4. Yassss - Linkin park: times better than other bands!!!
Place for my head is actually better as the Amp version in Reanimation when they remake all their songs!! By myself is my ultimate favorite, even know Burn it Down is a whole lot better. Most of their music is in movie’s like Transformers or Little Nicky.
I LOVE YOUR GUYS MUSIC!! ROCK ON LINKIN PARK!! Random Reviewer
Oof

5. Hmm - I heard such great things about Linkin Park for years without ever listening. Have to say, I’m pretty disappointed. The instrumentals are well done and the music all sounds pretty good, but, seriously, people have got to be kidding when they say his voice is so good and unique. I mean, yeah, it’s above average but not any better than plenty of other artists. The reason I finally checked LP out is because of a cover band called Wretches and Kings (one of the vocalists is from a band I’m a fan of, Righteous Vendetta) and their voices are just as good. In some cases I like them better.
2020-02-03
6. Good. - Hybrid Theory is Linkin Park’s original sound. Many people worship this album like God, and it’s not hard to see why. Not my favorite, but very good nonetheless. My favorite songs are One Step Closer, A Place For My Head, and Forgotten. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into Nu Metal.
2019-05-26
7. Pretty Awesome - The first of LPs albums is definitely one of the best, and it’s a nicely flowing album. Here are my reviews for each song: . Papercut /
It’s a very nice intro to the album and it displays a palate of LPs skills.
. One Step Closer ./
It’s good to scream with if you’re angry.
. With You /
I personally love this song even though it’s less popular.
. Points of Authority /
Nice memorable tune.
. Crawling ./
Brilliant.
. Runaway /
Slightly repetitive.
. By Myself /
Different sound effects.
. In The End ./
One of the most popular LP songs but I enjoy other songs on the album more.
. A Place For My Head /
Great mix of rap and rock.
. Forgotten /
Nice start but sounds to familiar to other rock songs after.
. Cure For The Itch ./
Something different and a creative instrumental.
. Pushing Me Away ./
A great finish for this album.
Other Thoughts: I wish this album had an intro like some of the others. Overall, I have loved listening to this and won’t stop soon!

1. Bobby Bee on The Beach Boys - Again, like Chicago & the Beatles, this is music, that if you came up in my era, early 's-'s, hey were the SOUNDTRACK of our lives. I'm talkin' AM Radio boys & girls (WABC) in NY or even better -FM later on Cousin Brucie & the Good Guys - Listen & enjoy as I complete my ,-song collection... Yea The Beach Boys HAD to be included..... Peace (Oh yea, and I haven't purchased this one yet either, lol)

2. The Land Boat's docked out back - Brian Wilson's Pet Sounds Aniversary Tour's underway this summer - The Beach Boys came through that late 's summer I turned and got a drivers license. There was a hot- smart (can't have the first without the later - for me anyway) gal in a summer session...wanna go ?...aw..already had a date...they even got to dance on the stage - and it never occured to me to ask anyone else (still the same - when I'm feelin' it..how do the lyric's go ? " Got My Mind Set On You ". It's like time travel here in the back yard. There is an almost cherry, full size, sleek late ''s convertible - outta nowhere this collectors classic at a very affordable price - still planned on haggling but behind that locked garage door - this incredible car - Could not stifle myself nor stop grinning. With dredging, land is made /reclaimed every day, but they'll never ever make anymore of these, and like a beautiful woman, just can't stop looking at her. Told my granddaughter it's her's when she's old enough to drive, and do you like it? "Yes grandpa ..I REALLY LIKE IT "...and already behind the wheel while I'm under the hood helping start it. As it's still a good half dozen years till she can drive it'll be loads of fun polishing and tinkering on this real show car that sounds sweet too ! Tears well up as I think back when I heard some of the sweetest guitar picking ever - honestly don't know why but it touched me to the core - thought that's why God made the electric guitar, and that's why The Beach Boys "That's Why God Made The Radio" caught my eye...got it..then found out, while it's pure Beach Boys...it's new- so to speak- from the album of the same name. It also leads off The Beach Boys Greatest Hits album released that fall. Everyone who hears the engine agrees it's running in top notch condition. It's really nice when old equipment works better than ever. Haven't put the top down yet, just know it works..bought it without even putting my hands on the wheel. Some things you just don't forget how to do. Was told the radio's the only thing that doesn't work. God's plan may have been for it not to work - the radio that is - so I can add a sound system ( maybe a boom box to start ) put the top down, and go cruisin'. Should invite the one I really care about to take a ride or even drive it. People already wave and shout, and since she's truly one of the prettiest gals on the planet, cars will be colliding and crashing as motorists crane their necks to catch a glimpse of true classic beauty X .

3. Excellent but missing one - I grew up to the Beach Boys, I'm a big fan but where is"I can hear Music" in my view one their biggest. They didn't play it on their th tour and that was a big disappointment. Some lame excuse was given. In we couldn't stop singing it. Got to see the Beach Boys in and there was Carl singing it. Oh well, that is what the four stars is four.
2016-03-10
4. Impossible to do greatest hits - Honestly, every Beach Boy album and song is worth listening to. It's hard for me to understand how you could just listen to songs and not want more. I guess if your just a mild fan or newly introduced this is a somewhat solid album with remastered hits. In reality you still are not getting the whole picture of just how "on point" this group was, without listening to the full albums.

1. Don’t buy this version - This is not The Wall as you remember it. Songs have been edited for today’s snowflake world and other songs have been truncated and do not meld into each other like they did in the original album-sometimes yes but other times no. I wish i could delete this, get my money back and find the “real” album as it came out many many years ago.
2021-07-14
2. All in all, this just another great album in their catalogue - “The Wall” review - There’s not much I can say about Pink Floyd’s “The Wall”, you really just have to listen for yourself. Find the time to listen to this for an hour and a half in one go. Play this on your record player or with headphones and just relax and enjoy the music. One of the best albums ever. Happy th anniversary Pink Floyd to this incredible album! /, great album!
2020-02-16
3. The Greatest - Pink Floyd's Magnum Opus. You won't find a better rock album from a storytelling/musical perspective. The Wall is simply the greatest rock album ever recorded. Don't get me wrong. Animals, Wish You Were Here and DSOTM are Floyd staples. We all know how good those albums are. However, Floyd takes it to another level with The Wall. Roger Waters' songwriting is simply phenominal. Add to that the great vocal tracks, David's unbelieveable guitar work and Nick and Richard's contributions and you have a masterpiece. I've been listening to rock and roll for years and have no problem saying this is the greatest rock album ever recorded. I've listened to it hundreds of times and it still gives me chills. This album is a must have for any rock fan's collection.

Another Porcaro Masterpiece - Whatever Jeff does on his drums never ceases to amaze me.It totally grabs a hold and never lets go.He has that unique ability to dig deep into the inner soul and find out what a certain person is thinking about. So it is his way of finding out all about the intricacies of the mind
It is very interesting to discover so much more about what he can do. I love to hear his voice through my headphones. His rhythms make me wanna get up and dance. He will always remain the best heartstrings drummer of all time and gorgeous Dreamyeyed Angel.Keep grooving in heaven with all those other greats. .It's not the same without your drums. 5. Epic Album but.. - I can’t add to anything anyone else hasn’t already said about this epic album. It’s all that and then some. Roger Waters put together a masterpiece that will forevermore be one of the greatest albums of all times, transcending generations. My only issue is why cut off David Gilmore’s solo on Comfortable Numb? I remain incensed by the way this was recorded. This is one of the most famous guitar solos ever, and by one of the all time great lead guitarists, and it gets cut? I just don’t get it! This album and DSOTM rank in the top albums of all time. I would be remiss if I didn’t say that personally I’m not a Waters fan but I give credit where it’s due. He was, and is a musical genius. David Gilmore is arguably one of the top of all time lead guitarists and deservedly so. Without Gilmore I don’t believe these albums would have ascended the heights they have reached. Roger put it to paper but David made it come alive.

1. Negatory on the album bundling, Mr. Rights Owner - It is plainly ridiculous that the One True Live Performance of Free Bird is locked behind an album bundle. Free our Free Bird!! I’ll gladly buy it alone, but there’s no way I will pay the full album price for the one song – no matter how much I love it. Thank You

1. Back on Black - WOW - Debut album with Brian Johnson as the lead singer. Coming off the untimely death of Bon Scott and the success of Highway to Hell.
This album has strong songs and is considered a no-skip album. The opening song Hell’s bells is a brilliantly composed song and gets the the album rocking. Shoot to Thrill, Back in Black, & you shook me all night long were all staples on the radio back in the ’s and are still played on classic rock stations.
My favorite songs are What do you do for Money, Giving the Dog a Bone & Shake a Leg. All songs on the album are solid rock n’ roll tunes that should be played loud in the album format.
Rock n roll Ain’t Noise pollution, Let Me put my love into You, and Have a drink on me finish out this rock n’ roll treat. Through and through this is a star album with no weakness. As. Side note , comments about Angus playing/knowing notes should really see the live performance or look for this album being played live on other albums , because, it becomes very evident that Angus is up there with the greatest guitarists of all time. Check out his solo performances sometime.
Highly recommended album purchase .

2. AWESOME ALBUM!!! BEST AC/DC RECORD! - This is my favorite album I own on ITunes, and I own A LOT. It goes from Rainbow to Led Zeppelin to The Beatles, to even Cactus., Metallica, Anthrax, And even Great White to just name a few artists. Surprisingly, none of these artists albums ever really impressed me. (Except Led Zeppelin, they blew me away with Led Zeppelin II) When I found out about AC/DC, and I bought this album and Highway to Hell, I realized this was the band for me. Then I bought their least notable albums like Powerage, High Voltage, and Flick The Switch, and I loved those. Anyway, this album is incredible, and is one my favorite records ever.

3. THE MONSTERS OF HARD ROCK!!!! - This band is instantly recognized and recommended by me to anyone who really wants good ’s rock. Or even if someone is a pop head, or rap fan, and you are having trouble getting off that, this is one way to do it. I have listened too many times, and I have not lost interest. Not too heavy, but just enough to get me in the mood. ROCK ON !!!!

4. First in the series - I will only write a review when truly inspired and Back-n-Black does just that. My kid's kids will know this rocks from the first time they hear it. I suspect it will pass Thriller by then to be the best selling album ever. When you listen to the th best song repeatedly, you know you can't go wrong with this album

5. Shook me all night long - I bought this record back in after listening to Shook me all night long over and over at a friends house. I played it to death. I still have it and know where are the skips and where I have to nudge the needle to keep it from repeating, I love every song. Thank you iTunes for giving me the opportunity to purchase and listen to one of my favorite albums of all time

1. Mothership- greatest hits Led Zep - What a compilation! Listened to all their albums back in the seventies when I was young and stoned, and appreciated the talent and musicianship of the players. But now that I am older I find I love it even more for their variety, rockin’ pulse, and the overall never ending memories these songs generate. Every song is different in its own way, and I know I will listen to them til the day I die.

2. Led Zeppin again moves your soul - To be honest Zeppelin is one of those rock bands that's a soul shaking masterpiece of musical genius. Every album is epic in content! I've actually listened to every album from start to finish in one day and I was never disappointed. They set the Rock and Roll Bar very high in both music and lyrical genius. They are a pure pleasure to listen to! Thanks Road Lizard!

3. Good compilation, but buy the studio albums - This is such an amazing collection that represents why LZ is absolutely the BEST BAND EVER! But, as a huge fan myself that knows and loves every single one of their songs and albums by heart, I would say that getting their studio albums (plus Coda) is way more worth it in the end. By getting this compilation of their hits, you're missing out on the absolute gems that are on the studio albums, like How Many More Times, The Lemon Song, Friends, Celebration Day, Out On The Tiles, Misty Mountain Hop, Four Sticks, Going To California, The Rain Song, The Ocean (which should've replaced D'yer Mak'er for a Houses of the Holy song, in my opinion), Custard Pie, The Rover, In My Time Of Dying (Bonzo's best probably), In The Light, Ten Years Gone, The Wanton Song, For Your Life, Fool In The Rain, and Carouselambra. Notice these are listed in order of the tracks on each of the albums, which just shows how I know them by heart. Bottom line: This is great to introduce someone on to Zep, but the studio albums are way better!

4. Wow that really does sound like crap. - I used to have it on compact disc. Which sounded great. However I agree with the people that said the version on iTunes sounds really compressed. In fact, it seems all of Led Zeppelin‘s music on iTunes sounds that way. And I’m not even much of an audio file. I really hope iTunes gets it all figured out.

5. Not Version But Better - Although this compilation was released in , using the remasters, the version now on iTunes has been quietly updated to include songs from the and remastering of all the Zeppelin albums. The version previously available on iTunes did contain the remasters. I have it, as it was included on a digital only collection, The Complete Led Zeppelin, which is no longer available. "Nobody's Fault But Mine", for example, now clocks in at :, consistent with the version found on the remaster of "Presence". The previous "Mothership" version clocked in at :, which is consistent with the version of "Presence". Also, tracks -, from the first album, use the remaster from that same album, as the left and right stereo channels are reversed. This was done on the entire version of the first album and not corrected until the version. Note, the version is consistent with the original vinyl and CD. Given that the iTunes version of "Mothership" now uses remasters from the and remastered versions, it is without doubt the definitive introduction to Led Zeppelin for anyone not familiar with their music. These songs sound tremendous and represent the most well known Zeppelin music in the commercial sphere. Granted, those of us who have been Zeppelin fans for years know everything and regard all of it similarly.

6. For casuals? Sure. For audiophiles? Stay away. - One of my favorite albums, in fact I think this is one of the best albums, period. But this version has a serious case of compression, even the one on Youtube sounds better. I would recommend audiophiles get this album from somewhere else. But if you're just popping in some of those cheapo earbuds apple gave you- sure why not.

1. Greta album - Although not as strong as the Dark side of the Moon. This album is a testament to how truly great this was actually was. This was a more focused than The Dark Side of the Moon to the people that I would consider this one of the greatest albums ever made. Pink Floyd is a truly one of a kind band and there will never be a band like them ever again. This band shall live on.

2. Oh my - It was and is a magnificent album. If you know the history (Syd), “Shine on You Crazy Diamond” is an incredible tribute…and social commentary. And the lyrics on “Wish You Were Hear” are timeless. “Have a Cigar” and “Welcome to the Machine” are merely outstanding. As much as I like “Dark Side…” and “Animals”, this album stands out, not only as Pink Floyd’s best, but as one of Rock ‘n Roll’s seminal albums.

3. Awesome sauce :) - This is a good album. I may agree partially that it is not the best of the best Floyd album, but Wish you Were Here is a pretty good song with the acoustic and all. Mickey raww, why would you comment on an album if you don’t like it? Just comment on your bad music because I bet if you think Floyd is bad then what you listen to is worse. Pink Floyd is one of the best bands of all time. Even though it already passed years, it is sad that Syd died :(. I’m . I also like pt. of another brick in the wall. I honestly think it is better than pt. . Both are good though. Just my thoughts. It’s all rock and roll to me though.

4. The Seventies Superstars: Pink Floyd - I grew up in high school and college listening to Pink Floyd and still do. They are one of the most original bands and their psychedelic rock style appeals to a lot of people, me included. They are one of my favorite classic rock bands and will never go out of style, especially their best albums. This is one of them. Enjoy their great sound and lyrics. They are a masterpiece!

5. Loved It - Anyone who didn’t like this album, you’re crazy. I may have to buy the vinyl cuz it’s that good. My favorite song definitely “Shine Like a Crazy Diamond “ (all the parts) and “Welcome to the Machine” and “Wish You Were Here” I have definitely started going back and listening to more and more music from this group. Pink Floyd is true greatness.

6. Terrific - This album is an all time classic, coupled with its tragic figure Syd ..their very haunting and operatic compositions. As for reviewer Raw?? Well he’s either deep into rap and/or has no comprehension nor understanding of true musicianship, unable to appreciate musical virtuoso’s that have mastered their instruments as opposed to drum machines and over-dubbing....

7. Another absolute masterpiece - Who the hell is Mickey Raww? How can anyone listen to this astonishing album and conclude it is BAD? Dude has to be in a class by himself. My GRANDMOTHER likes this album. My GRANDSON likes this album. I've been playing it since and none of the tracks bore me yet. This is a classic's classic. My opinion is it is better that Dark Side...Play it once and make up youir own mind. Mickey Raww is the first guy I've come across in years who has a negative opinion of the album. I can't imagine what he listens to, but that's my opinion. Wish you were Here is a great album. That is a monstrous understatement.

8. Brit Floyd - After watching these amazing artists Who gathered for one last time for
Live Concert back on U tube,
I was stumbled to a performance in
Livermore park as a tribute to Pink Floyd by Brit Floyd !
Catch it on U tube. .. They have the audacity of being amazing!!!
Opening song ; Welcome to Machine
Inspired me to get this album off the shelf

9. Pink Floyd Will Always Shine On - Not only do I think this is Pink Floyd's best album, I think this is one of the greatest albums of all time, and the perfect starting point for anyone who wants to embark on the journey that is the Pink Floyd discography. The music is masterful and the lyrics will teach you something new each time. This album is a true /.

10. Excellent Sound Quality - Let me start by saying that I do still have my vinyl copy, I had it on track, cassette and finally on CD. That being said the question for me wasn't is this an album I should get because it is great, but rather, is the sound quality any better than the CD copy that I have transfered to my iTunes library that has a very muddy sound? Well I am here to say that YES it is remarkably better, a huge improvement over my CD copy. I also got Dark Side Of The Moon for the same reason and I am not disappointed. Who ever is incharge of Apple's Re-Mastering did a GREAT job. So if you are like me and already own all the previous lesser quality versions you will not be wasting your money if you purchase this copy.

11. IMO Better than Dark Side of the Moon - This album is one of the greatest creations that has befell the classic rock era. Every song is so powerful, so meaningful, and has such depth and creativity. The track opens up with the elegant magnum opus Shine On You Crazy Diamond, a two part (technically nine parts) tribute to their former band member and friend Syd Barrett, who coincidentally visited the studio during the sessions for this song. This song is my personal favorite Pink Floyd song of all time, and I've listened to everything, and currently it is my favorite song of all time. Next is the beautiful and dark "Welcome to the Machine," the first song I've ever listened to by the band and my entry point into classic rock. Here is a song telling us about the corrupt music industry, which is much relatable to the rocker "Have a Cigar." This song has guest vocals by Roy Harper, and he sounds perfect for this type of song. This segues into the beautiful Wish You Were Here, another ode to Syd Barrett, before closing out to the second part of Shine On (which the initials to every other word spells out Syd). Again, this is my favorite Pink Floyd album, a great entry point, and I recommend it to anyone and everyone. /!!!

12. Do not buy - I positively hate the idea of "iTunes LPs". Forget your iPhones or tablets for replay. I bought this album thinking that "Album Only" refers to the availability of the tracks "Shine on pt - and -" in conjunction with the Album. This in and by itself is outrageous, because typically some bonus material /additional songs should be "Album only" if one buys the entire album. But OK - I can accept that because I wanted the entire album anyway. BUT NO! You can only PLAY the instrumental songs through iTunes Album, you can not add them to playlists or move them to your iPhone. For example a playlist with only the instrumental pieces (which I had in mind) is NOT possible. iTune forces me to buy a CD in a store or to go to their competition, because an alternative form of the Album (regular single songs of all songs on the album is not available. Your loss. The only positive - the iTunes representative reimbursed me quickly and without any discussion. Very courteous response. Still - make sure you understand what" iTunes LP" means before you buy. It's not spelled out clearly.

13. An Amazing Journey - This is one of the best albums, let alone Floyd albums ever. It's for everyone, the Prog Rock nerds and casual listeners (although to them Shine on You Crazy Diamond might be a little much). It combines the ethereal, the psychedelic, the beautiful, and the thoughtful. I definite must listen and definitely better than Dark Side.

1. We will rock Jones/Stockton Biden trophy champions - The Stockton panthers are the Joe Biden trophy champions thank you to the Weare New Hampshire Predators after Brandon Zogopoulis gave Stockton the opportunity to celebrate the Joe Biden trophy when he charged over the Jones street blue line and ripped a steaming freight train by mark bellemare to officially end the night and end the race on the Jones street cheaters and allow Stockton to celebrate the trophy with the girls in Falmouth Maine when they lost the trophy on a technical error that the cheaters committed and robbed the girls of what was rightfully their trophy

2. Another one bites the dust!!! - Steve walks warily down the street with the brim pulled way down low. Ain’t no sound but the sound it the sound of his feet. Machine guns ready to go. Are you ready? Are for this? Are you hanging on the edge of your seat? Out of the doorway the bullets rip, to the sound of the beat. Another one bites the dust. Another one bites the dust. And another one gone and another one gone. Another one bites the dust. Hey I’m gonna get you too, another one bites my dust. First verse to Another One Bites The Dust!!

3. One of a kind - If you don’t like this music you have a problem. Freddy Mercury’s voice stole the show, he is a legend and always will be. I understand the story of him and how he performed in Live Aid with AIDS. The movie and music makes me want to get up and dance to the songs and beat. Thank you queen for what you have brought us. We would have never been like this without you...

4. I love the old Queen - The (Older) Queen is the best ’s-’s rock music ever made in rock history! Broken so many records within the rock music industry! Queen has been my favorite band for a long time now. I wasn’t born in the ’s, or ’s. Shoot, wasn’t even born in the ’s! I’m a baby. Me knowing Queen and Freddie Mercury’s history within Queen and himself says a lot! I am a HUGE fan of older music from the ’s-’s! Any type of music from those years. This is worth the money for the true source of rock between ’s-’s. Thank you for reading and hopefully you experience the same joy I have experienced with Queen. Have a wonderful day!

5. From OLD.....to YOUNG!! - I was busy raising my kids back in the ’s....then working in the ’s, ’s etc....to have a happy family. I recently lost my husband (high school sweetheart) of years married....and am very lonely without him! I have always loved music, and after watching the movie Bohemian Rhapsody decided to look up past music, and found QUEEN!! First it was the movie, I fell in love with! AND QUEEN’S music blew me away!! I fell in love with all of it, then went to uTube and have not yet seen everything about Freddie, et al.....there is so much, I will see it till the end!
Their story is amazing....and the music is all so varied and original.....! I always wondered where the one at basketball games came from, We Will Rock You....I finally found out! My kids listened to QUEEN in high school in the ‘’s but never mentioned it to me, course I was too busy trying to be a good Mom anyway and probably back then would not have wanted them to like QUEEN! But here I am today at the ripe OLD age of ....loving it ALL! So sorry to have lost Freddie, today he would still be alive with how far the treatment for AIDS has come! I do wish he had married Mary and had a child though! But it wasn’t meant to be! I think his Dad, Mom, and God forgives Freddie for his wayward ways, but he sure did leave his mark on his many fan’s lives! Mine especially!
Thank you Freddie!!

1. Don’t get it - Never have - never will. The most chameleon of any band ever, always changing with the times, always fake, always a show. No truth or - maybe or decent songs tops. Remove their looks early on and they would have been nothing. Their stole their name, sound and start from Buddy Holly and flip flopped with the times from then on. They have some of the worst songs ever recorded on some of their records.

1. Universally Timeless - Like Queen (tho they had to add AL to), Tom Petty has a huge catalogue of music with the Heartbreakers & Solo, continuing into st century; but obv they can’t tour. 1. Truly one of the greatest. - I had a miserable th grade year in elementary school. Paint It Black perfectly describes my feelings back then minus the losing a spouse part. Otherwise there are many other great songs here including Get Off Of My Cloud, Satisfaction, Gimme Shelter, and Ruby Tuesday to name a few. Definitely consider getting this.

2. Great music, I’m a new fan! - I didn’t know what to think of the Stones because I thought they were another trying-too-hard rock band without substance, but I couldn’t have been more wrong! I’d heard a few songs from this album so I took the plunge and bought the whole thing, and it’s really good! They vary up the songs and the high points are really high. I’d definitely recommend them!
