1. Skeletons - I am from Michigan so I have have been listening to Pop Evil since the beginning… I love that they are still releasing new music. I have seen them times live; they are better in smaller venues but still a solid band. I like most of the tracks on this new album especially “Dead Reckoning”, it’s an in your face hard rock song then on the flip they do a ballad like “Worth It”. I recommend getting it if your fan… feel like this band should be bigger.

2. Finally good hard rock - This is literally the style that works best for them. I cannot believe they never went with the heavy instrumentals and big chorus approach in a whole album before. Now if the songs after eye of the storm were replaced with a really good slow song like torn into pieces then this album would be perfect but i cannot complain with all these bangers

1. Back on Black - WOW - Debut album with Brian Johnson as the lead singer. Coming off the untimely death of Bon Scott and the success of Highway to Hell.
This album has strong songs and is considered a no-skip album. The opening song Hell’s bells is a brilliantly composed song and gets the the album rocking. Shoot to Thrill, Back in Black, & you shook me all night long were all staples on the radio back in the ’s and are still played on classic rock stations.
My favorite songs are What do you do for Money, Giving the Dog a Bone & Shake a Leg. All songs on the album are solid rock n’ roll tunes that should be played loud in the album format.
Rock n roll Ain’t Noise pollution, Let Me put my love into You, and Have a drink on me finish out this rock n’ roll treat. Through and through this is a star album with no weakness. As. Side note , comments about Angus playing/knowing notes should really see the live performance or look for this album being played live on other albums , because, it becomes very evident that Angus is up there with the greatest guitarists of all time. Check out his solo performances sometime.
Highly recommended album purchase .

2. AWESOME ALBUM!!! BEST AC/DC RECORD! - This is my favorite album I own on ITunes, and I own A LOT. It goes from Rainbow to Led Zeppelin to The Beatles, to even Cactus., Metallica, Anthrax, And even Great White to just name a few artists. Surprisingly, none of these artists albums ever really impressed me. (Except Led Zeppelin, they blew me away with Led Zeppelin II) When I found out about AC/DC, and I bought this album and Highway to Hell, I realized this was the band for me. Then I bought their least notable albums like Powerage, High Voltage, and Flick The Switch, and I loved those. Anyway, this album is incredible, and is one my favorite records ever.

3. THE MONSTERS OF HARD ROCK!!!! - This band is instantly recognized and recommended by me to anyone who really wants good ’s rock. Or even if someone is a pop head, or rap fan, and you are having trouble getting off that, this is one way to do it. I have listened too many times, and I have not lost interest. Not too heavy, but just enough to get me in the mood. ROCK ON !!!!

4. First in the series - I will only write a review when truly inspired and Back-n-Black does just that. My kid's kids will know this rocks from the first time they hear it. I suspect it will pass Thriller by then to be the best selling album ever. When you listen to the th best song repeatedly, you know you can't go wrong with this album

5. Shook me all night long - I bought this record back in after listening to Shook me all night long over and over at a friends house. I played it to death. I still have it and know where are the skips and where I have to nudge the needle to keep it from repeating, I love every song. Thank you iTunes for giving me the opportunity to purchase and listen to one of my favorite albums of all time

1. The OG - Linking Park is hands down my favorite rock band of all time. I love most of their work, and even though “Minutes to Midnight” and “A Thousand Suns” are my favorite, this is what started it all. ‘In the end’ is their greatest song of all time. I don’t even think that’s up for debate.
2022-12-24
2. A Perfect Album. - Linkin Park at its best. The last two songs are the weakest but there’s a reason why this album is the best-selling rock album of the st century. Shinoda, Bennington, and Hahn flawlessly play to their strengths in an album that gets you going from the very first song “Papercut”.

3. A Respectable Rap Metal Album - Nü-Metal and Rap Rock were in full swing by the time this album came out. I feel like Linkin Park is the only band besides Rage Against The Machine to fuse hip hop and metal well enough to not make it sound gimmicky or corny. There are many aspects I like the guitars are heavy, some of the riffs are pretty catchy but other times they’re kinda rudimentary. Chester Bennington is certainly a talented vocalist, the most talented guy in the band as far as I’m concerned. My gripes with this album are Mike Shinoda. I’ve never thought he was great rapper and his pen game is pretty weak as well. Also the lyrics can be a little too “suburban white boy” angsty for me. Overall it’s still one of the better albums to come out of the nü-metal subgenre

4. Yassss - Linkin park: times better than other bands!!!
Place for my head is actually better as the Amp version in Reanimation when they remake all their songs!! By myself is my ultimate favorite, even know Burn it Down is a whole lot better. Most of their music is in movie’s like Transformers or Little Nicky.
I LOVE YOUR GUYS MUSIC!! ROCK ON LINKIN PARK!! Random Reviewer

5. Hmm - I heard such great things about Linkin Park for years without ever listening. Have to say, I’m pretty disappointed. The instrumentals are well done and the music all sounds pretty good, but, seriously, people have got to be kidding when they say his voice is so good and unique. I mean, yeah, it’s above average but not any better than plenty of other artists. The reason I finally checked LP out is because of a cover band called Wretches and Kings (one of the vocalists is from a band I’m a fan of, Righteous Vendetta) and their voices are just as good. In some cases I like them better.

6. Good. - Hybrid Theory is Linkin Park’s original sound. Many people worship this album like God, and it’s not hard to see why. Not my favorite, but very good nonetheless. My favorite songs are One Step Closer, A Place For My Head, and Forgotten. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into Nu Metal.

7. Pretty Awesome - The first of LPs albums is definitely one of the best, and it’s a nicely flowing album. Here are my reviews for each song: . Papercut /
It’s a very nice intro to the album and it displays a palate of LPs skills.
. One Step Closer ./
It’s good to scream with if you’re angry.
. With You /
I personally love this song even though it’s less popular.
. Points of Authority /
Nice memorable tune.
. Crawling ./
Brilliant.
. Runaway /
Slightly repetitive.
. By Myself /
Different sound effects.
. In The End ./
One of the most popular LP songs but I enjoy other songs on the album more.
. A Place For My Head /
Great mix of rap and rock.
. Forgotten /
Nice start but sounds to familiar to other rock songs after.
. Cure For The Itch ./
Something different and a creative instrumental.
. Pushing Me Away ./
A great finish for this album.
Other Thoughts: I wish this album had an intro like some of the others. Overall, I have loved listening to this and won’t stop soon!

1. I love every track - IMO, there has only ever been one flaw in this album, and that’s the exclusion of “Legs” from the track list. That said, this album was released at a time before digital download and there was only so much space on a CD. If you can find one track to leave off in order to get Legs on, congrats. Because I can’t.

1. TREMENDOUS album. Full stop. - One of the best I’ve ever heard in my life. Ask me what the ‘s sound was, THIS is my go-to. Every single song is sheer perfection, including the five (out of twelve) that weren’t smash-hit singles. And they did it with a one-armed drummer. I repeat: A. ONE. ARMED. DRUMMER. In MEN IN BLACK, Tommy Lee Jones has a line where he says that there’s a new music format coming that gives him an excuse to buy The Beatles’ White Album again. I get that; I’ve bought Hysteria on cassette, on compact disc…and one of these days, I’ll get it digitally, too. Why? Because it’s just that good. Because it’s five guys coming back from a tragedy that would’ve ended lesser bands, and coming back stronger than ever. Five guys reaching as high and as hard as they can for the brass ring, when anyone else would’ve given it up as impossible…and they made it. Full stop.

2. The best rock/pop the ’s had to offer - It’s funny this album I’m reviewing is now years old.it came when I was young year old who thought I’d seen it all living for fridays paycheck and chasing down girls into the weekend and this album was all over the radio non-stop.mutt Lange broke the mold of producing with this one.still today it’s aged like a fine but with tons of memories as a teenage so full of life with a lot of choices ahead to be made as I entered into adult hood.for ones who there and understood that feeling.”when you get that feeling” then you’ll need no explanation for the youth today you do not know what you missed.

3. Amazing Album Review - This is one of the bestselling albums of all time and it is pretty easy to tell Def Leppard has always been one of my favorite bands. I saw them in with Journey and they stole the show from Journey most of the songs they played that night were from this album. This is there best piece of work. Hysteria and Love Bites are the two songs that really make this album stand out from other albums of the s. I love this album.

1. Memories - This brings back so many memories of when I was an angsty teen but I didn’t feel like a rebel listening to LP; it just conveyed how I felt. The track Nobody’s Listening was something I felt like I could relate to. Asking for help but nobody being there or able to listen. These early Linkin Park albums are very special to me. Although my music tastes have changed drastically over the years I will always have a bond with Meteora and the self titled LP albums. Fantastic music in its accessibility for what sounds like hardcore to a casual pop listener. The band did a great job taking a hardcore sound into the mainstream and striking a chord with their tight chops, relatable writing, and rap influences peppered throughout. Chester forever. RIP. Wish he was still here. I was listening Chester.

2. - LINKIN PARK will always be my favorite! I’m going through a heart break and can’t get over her. She was a girl like no other, but this band is something like no other it won’t bring me heart aches or heart breaks it’ll only bring me happiness and a world to believe in and to have worth. Chester maybe sadly gone, but he is a true legend others can think whatever they wanna think. Chester is a true legend and for the sake of him being a legend he will always be a legend to all of us here and out there. Chester will never die in my heart. Keep the spirit up everyone! People need to know who this legendary band is… they need to know

3. Hybrid Theory: extra heavy edition - This album is good; I actually prefer it to Hybrid Theory. However, it’s very... derivative of their first album. “Easier to Run” is very similar to “Crawling”, and “Session” is a more serious, dramatic take on “Cure for the Itch”. Additionally, many of the songs on the record sound similar to each other (“Lying From You”, “Hit the Floor”, “Figure.”).
Now to the good. “Don’t Stay” is a great and fresh way for Linkin Park to open the album while communicating to the listener: “We added heavy sauce to these songs”. “Faint” is a fast pace flurry of pure action, and it’s totally awesome. And then there’s “Numb”. I don’t even think I need to explain that song to you.
While derivative, Numb is definitely a solid album from LP. However, its lack of originality (compared to other LP albums) makes me slightly prefer The Hunting Party to it.

4. It's a pretty good album from my childhood - The follow-up to Hybrid Theory, Meteora to me has always sound hard edged early s Nu Metal I grew up with when I was roughly years old. Recently buying this on disc, the cuts all have the traits that made their original sound appealing at that point in time. Listening to them today, the lyrics are these very angsty moody feeling and emotions from what an adolesant would feel. The closing track Numb felt a bit too angsty resulting in a more dated sound and lyrics that don't really speak to me. I know millennials always talk about growing up with Hybrid Theory. But I personally always enjoyed the material on Meteroa. Most of the singles on here is what blew my little year old mind hearing rap and metal/rock influences in the mix. Of course, now knowing today that bands such as Rage Against The Machine and Faith No More were doing the rap-rock thing ten years prior to Linkin Park, I still enjoyed revisiting some early s nostalgia from the Nu Metal movement.

5. Speechless - My biological father had an old deluxe copy of Meteora I found in my moms old boxes from before I moved to my new home. This was years ago, and to this day Meteora is one of my favorite albums of all time. The emotion put into every song, the striking chords of the guitar, the lyrical meanings, literally every aspect of this album is just amazing. R.I.P. To Chester, condolences from Chesapeake VA. LP will forever live in my heart.

6. Masterpiece - Linkin Park is really awesome and I like every album. To anyone who is struggling with depression just help is always available for you, whether it be a family member who you can really trust and rely on or a friend. Someone is always listening. Sometimes things can get the best of you but always remember you’re not alone.

1. Hard rock? Me thinks not… - The opening cut alone catapults this into the metal category, so hard rock is a vile mislabel on Apple’s part. As for the music, Toxicity is a freakshow of vocal acrobatics, disturbing changes in mood, violent riffing, thought provoking and often disturbing lyrics, and most importantly testosterone soaked rage. It certainly isn’t repetitive, and the shorter songs feel as complete as a minute epic. I love the production here from Rick Rubin, as it has what is missing in modern metal/metalcore today: an emphasis on aggression, intensity, and dark riffs, with melody being an afterthought. The three singles are the obvious classics, but there really isn’t a bad song here…

2. What a beautiful album! - I’ve always loved them since I was little and I would have to sneaky listen to them because they were “the devils music” now I know that is the opposite of what I was told. My son also loves them! Definitely want more from this band but still get to listen to classics while patiently waiting.

3. Great album - Let’s go through the songs one by one. Prison Song: BUM
bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bananaba!
Great opening, great song, a bit simple though. ./ Needles: YOOOOOUUUUU! My tapeworm tells me where to go.
Decent song, awesome riff, weird and hard to explain. ./ Deer Dance: PUSHING LITTLE CHILDREN! WITH THEIR FULLY AUTOMATICS! THEY LIKE TO PUSH THE WEAK AROUND!
Great song, amazing riff, weak solo. / Jet Pilot: My. Horse. Is a SHCKled old man.
Very good song, amazing chorus, very unmemorable. ./ X: WE DON’T NEED TO MULTIPLY!!!
Incredible opening, fast pace, but you would have trouble convincing me this is a System of a Down song. / Chop Suey!: WAKE UP!!!
Iconic, amazing and innovative, but goodness it’s overplayed. / Bounce: JUMP pogo pogo pogo pogo pogo.
Feels out of place, but has a fast pace. / Forest: Take this promise to the end, CAW!
Great song, simple yet effective solo, but long. ./ ATWA ( air, trees, water, animals ): good song, intentionally sloppy guitar solo showing the confused fragments of the individual’s mind. / Science: This feels like a generic song until the halfway point. Then it feels like a precursor to Arto. ./ Shimmy: I WANT TO SHIMMY SHIMMY SHIMMY TILL THE BREAK OF DAWN YEAH!
weird one for sure. I like the frantic pace, though. ./ Toxicity: the best single of the album. It’s just pure System of a Down. Great solo, too. / Psycho: The solo. That’s all that needs to be said. Also very, at first, out of no where shifts in tone, and a noticeable theme and meaning. ./ Aerials: Great song, definitely feels different from the other songs. ./ Arto: a what. / Overall: second best album. /

4. Awsome Music!! - I discovered System of a Down as recently as this year , while listen Metallica Radio on Pandora. Wonderful discovery!! I am stock with their music. I buy this album and some other song on iTunes. Great Live Performances available on Youtube. Could be interesting to know WHY they are not doing new material, BUT still go on Tour every two years or so in Europe, Brazil, etc.. Their lead singer has made some solo works... but is not the same. May the Peace be with you... Blessings!!

5. Absolutely stellar - This album is great for anybody who likes rock and metal. System of a down give a great album by combining raw emotion and brilliant execution. Seth Tankian gives an amazing vocal performance that keep headbanging with every track. Daron Malakian is not only a great guitarist, but also a great song writer who knows how to craft a melody that can manage to combine beauty and and hard hitting riffs. Shave Odadjian does som great rhythm work that keeps the music well rounded by supporting the guitar and keeping the drums tight. And John Dolmayan is just an amazing drummer that add suspense to tracks like "Chop Suey!" And "Toxicity".
This is an album that definitely not let you down.

6. SOADs Breakthrough Album!!! - Too many fans this is considered System Of A Downs greatest album. In my opinion this is SOADs second greatest album. My favorite album by System is their Self Titled Debut. But,this album is really good.It is a heavy metal album. All the songs are great. It features many of SOAD most popular songs including Chop Suey!,Aerials, and Toxicity. My favorite songs are Prison Song,Forest,Deer Dance,Psycho,Chop Suey!,Aerials, and Toxicity.Buy this album you'll love it!!!!

7. WTSF?!?! - I gotta ask... Is this a joke? Seriously?! What is this?!?! This music is absolutely terrible! I looked in the top albums in "Metal" not top albums in "Alternative". I personally like alternative rock so even calling this "Alternative" is an insult. I only gave it a second star because I have to give this band credit.... When I need a good laugh, I know right where to find them

1. One of the most iconic album's of the 's - Really nothing more to say. However, this album is not remastered at all as it sounds exactly the same as the original. They just changed the album cover and slapped on the Apple Digital Master. Another gimmick. Top Songs: . Would?
. Them Bones
. Dam That River
. Rooster
. Down In A Hole

2. My God… - The absolute most % incredible unreal and most spectacular album to ever exist. Literally from start to finish. No song is worth skipping and every song is worth understanding. Layne is by far the best vocalist to ever exist and so I don’t ruffle any feathers I’ll say till his death but we all know he’s the best. Jerry Mike and Sean are also killing it to. Literally unreal. I’m glad that I exists to experience this masterpiece. RIP Layne!!!!!

3. What kind of stupid review did iTunes post.. - ...for this Album?! This album is a complete example of how a successful formula can create a soulful metal sound. Yes Lane Staley’s struggle with addiction is the base of this soul, and Jerry and the rest of the band matching the pain with artistic support. Together they create a beautiful metal sound that has AMAZING vocals, guitar riffs, bass licks that guide and a drummer who can top it all off with beats to finish off the collaboration of musicianship chemistry. What an amazing piece this album is.

4. Love the album!!!! - I have fell in love with this album. My dad listened to rock in the car so I grew up listening to AIC. I got to meet Jerry and fell in love with the band all over again. What I find to be the coolest is that the song Rooster is about his dad and his dad is the man in the music video. The music video is also filmed at his dad’s place. The music is just amazing

5. years strong - I don't write reviews. In fact this is my first. This album quantifies the Seattle sound of the s, bridging the mainstream (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and even Soundgarden) with the more obscure (Mudhoney, Green River, Mother Love Bone). Never heard? Give it a listen. Solid cover to cover. RIP Lane Staley- please come back. Jesus pick off a Kardashian. Dam that river.

6. Dirt: A Review - Look, Alice in Chains proved themselves worthy of the throne of Grunge Metal with their day view album, "Facelift", but this just proves that they were made to hold that title. Songs like "Them Bones", "Dam that River", "Rooster", "Rain When I Die" and "Would?" are what led them into future classics like all of the "Jar of Flies" Acoustic EP and some songs off of their self titled album, like "Grind". From Start to Finish you're hooked on the guitar work and bass line behind it. Cantrell and Starr prove once again that they were made for great things with this album. Staley, while amazing as usual, had some questionable moments, especially on the songs title track and on "Hate to Feel". Staley stays true to what he felt necessary for this album the whole time. The drum work on this album is Semi- Decent and really becomes repetitive after the first Five to Six tracks. On a scale of One to Ten, this album earns an . due to Staley's somewhat questionable performances and the repetitive drum line. I would actually recommend "Facelift" over this album, but would still recommend this.

7. This is the best album to come out in the s - I know that's a bold statement to make, but to me it's the truth. This album is as close as you will come to having a tormented soul cracked open and poured out in the most truthful and raw way possible. It's a must have especially if you are starting to get past the introduction of Alice and see why the are the legends they are today.
2016-10-27
8. Musical Perfection - This is the best grunge/hard rock album of its time and genre. Every track shows extreme musical intellect and is worthy of stars out of stars. Layne and Cantrell's overlapping vocals and hard riffs provide for a signature sound that set AIC apart from other bands of the time. Songs like Sickman, Rain when I die and Would? Are a few personal favorites. I was introduced to Dirt when I first heard Would? on the radio. It became a personal favorite and months later I ventured to find the rest of the album was equally talented. Fans are not over exaggerating when they say this is the best AIC album. R.I.P. Layne

1. Still Can’t believe he’s gone! But this rocks - I’m a product of the early seventies so as I was coming of age Rush was played on the radio as Top . I can remember the first time hearing Tom Sawyer. I knew then I was going to be a drummer! But then reality hits back and it just wasn’t meant to be. What is meant to be is hearing Rush more clear than I’ve ever heard them. Whatever the technology is Apple is using really puts these old songs in a new light. They sound more full, cleaner, more crisp. I’m not even using my best pair of headphones and the sound is still amazing! Way to go Apple!

2. My favorite song by Rush - I was introduced to Rush about years ago by my moms ex, unfortunately he passed away about years ago he was their biggest fan, I couldn't go a day without hearing this band, this was almost all he'd listen to, it would drive my mom crazy but "Time Stand Still" always stuck out to me and I've always loved this song, but just a few minutes ago I watched the Rush documentary and had to hear the song again and I was on the verge of crying because it made me think of my moms ex, he was just an amazing guy, was a great male figure in my life, I miss him dearly

3. To Neil - One of my earliest memories is drumming to “Tom Sawyer” on the seats of my mother’s car on the way to daycare. Even as an eight year old, it was apparent to me that Neil’s drumming was something special, powerful. He was the spark that hit a lifelong fire for the drums and music. I’m not alone in this realization. That young boy from Iowa could have never imagined the friendship to come with Neil Peart. He shared his adventures motorcycling, sailing, touring, and drumming. Every day ended with a Macallan and lots of laughter. More than all of this, Bubba was there for me when my dad died of cancer. He brought me In-N-Out after I got creamed on my motorcycle. He’d meet with Make-a-Wish kids in secret, play drums with them, and take them for milkshakes. He was that kind of dude. Extraordinarily kind, even after the universe took everything from him. He left our world a better place then he found it. “The measure of life is a measure of love and respect,
So hard to earn so easily burned
In the fullness of time, A garden to nurture and protect
(It’s a measure of life)
The treasure of life is a measure of love and respect, The way you live, the gifts that you give
In the fullness of time, It’s the only return that you expect” Neil wrote these lyrics for the last song on the last Rush album. To the last... you measure up, Bubba.

4. Fantastic Choice for those wanting to get into Tush - This album is a great collection of their music at a great price. I would definitely recommend purchasing this. My only caution would be that this only has their biggest hits, meaning none of their big progressive pieces such as YYZ or La Villa Strangiato. Overall it is an amazing purchase for those getting into rush.

1. R.I.P. EVH - Has to be the best debut album in hard rock history! And just like Eddie was inspired by Eric “Slowhand” Clapton, Eddie has already inspired millions and will continue to inspire new generations of musicians as they try to learn the best techniques. I remember my friend Jason in my sophomore year in high school in Kona, Hi. learned to play “Eruption” and almost all of VH ‘ the album perfectly, because he believed that if he was going to play guitar he may as well learn from the best. I miss those days of yesteryear, and I agree with another reviewer, I hate , F@K Trump, F@K COVID- , and F@K every kind of Cancer. Too many good people have died, and too many more will die. Hopefully him and all his enablers will be voted out on Tuesday November rd.

2. Officially The End of an Era - I heard the first Van Halen album when it came out in ‘ and was completely blown away as a yo kid who was learning guitar. Like everyone else who heard it back then, Eddies virtuosity on the guitar was and still is mind bending to hear. I was an immediate fan. Every time I listen to an EVH solo it still gives me chills. His music still holds up. His playing is still technically light years more advanced than many who have come after him and before him as well. We as music lovers who will be around years from now, will still marvel at his guitar playing. Rest in Power Eddie. I’m sure all the greats are jamming with you up in heaven. I’m also sure your guitar playing is the music throughout the clouds and on g-d’s playlist.

3. You don’t own this???? - You should prob either get your head checked out or you’ve been living under a rock, this album is one of the best debut albums from start to finish a rock band has ever had. Absolutely kicks butt from the second you press play all the way up to “On Fire”. Every song is A and meant to be played as loud as your stereo will let you. Crank it up until your ears bleed with joy.

4. RIP EVH - I can remember where I was the first time I heard this album. I was living in Prattville, Alabama and I was at my friends house in his room when he put the record on by a new band called Van Halen. Running with the Devil started it off but it was Eruption that blew me away. I could not believe what I was hearing! I had never heard anything like that before or since (to be quite honest).

5. Best album ever recorded - I don’t ever leave reviews, but this album is by far the best purchase I’ve ever made. In my opinion, album is worth any price. I’ve listened to this album start to finish at least once a day for many years, and instead of gradually getting burnt out of the songs, as is typical, I’ve only grown to love each song more and more. I still get goosebumps listening to this masterpiece. I can’t recommend it enough.

6. The Classic Van Halen Album - This along with other Davis Lee Roth era albums (VHII, Woman and Children First, Fair Warning, Diver Down, ) were basically the soundtrack of my youth and set the template for swagger that all the LA Bands that came out in ’s strived to emulate, it sure made being a kid in the ’s and a teen in the ’s a great time to be alive with memories that will last a lifetime that the kids of today will never know because of all the technology and tracking of ones every movement ......I’ll take growing up then with all the fun, optimism, and friendships of my era over today out of times...

7. First time hearing Eruption and Running With The Devil - Every single song is great, trust me. I’ve heard every song on this album. All have a guitar solo, which are all epic, plus great lyrics by David Lee Roth. Other hard rock artists such as Led Zepplien, Boston, and AC/DC have great debut albums, but this band took what they all created and mushed it all together to create this epic album. Bravo, bravo.

8. Mastered for iTunes?!? - This edition of this album sound WAY over compressed! I also have the high definition Khz version of this album and it’s totally fine. Apple is supposed to be using this same HD master for the Mastered for iTunes stamp. They must have messed something up during the process. Apple please fix this error!

1. Great album, people should stop hating - This album is fantastic. Ok, so it’s not M or HT, but look at it with not the assumption that it will be a clone of those albums, but as a piece of a bigger puzzle. It’s great in its own right, but if we are comparing it to how much it sounds like the first , it’s a /. This sounds nothing like the first albums, but it’s still great. Just listen to LOST IN THE ECHO. It’s heavy. ( quick note, I can’t STAND One More Light. I never said you had to like all of their albums. THAT was where they sold out.)

2. Burn It Down was not their last song - Burn It Down was not their last song with Chester! My stepdad thinks this their latest release. This was before I knew him.I have known my stepdad since I was years old.I even listened to LP before I knew him! Then I forgot Linkin Park was a band. I started remembering that they were a band in February of ! How that happened was my mom was listening to their song called in the end and i asked who sang that song and she said Linkin Park.I think in summer of I told my stepdad about them and he said I know that band! Then I got intrested in music and they were my favorite band in summer of ! My mom and stepdad met at a bar on --

3. Just awful - Love how they tried to recreate hybrid theory and Meteora, but they still failed miserably! And iTunes lied to us by saying “oh they returned to their old roots”! Ha! Best joke I’ve heard all day! Wish I could give this album zero stars! And guess what everyone, I actually enjoy the hunting party! Most of these people just say oh I only like hybrid theory and Meteora, and yes I really enjoy them too but I also like the hunting party! I don’t know why they wouldn’t just do more hard rock stuff like that to begin with! Living things is total garbage! What the heck guys! And I also know this album is like years old but still god! This is just awful, and as I’ve become a Linkin park fan as I’ve grown into a adult, I listened to all of these albums and after hybrid theory, Meteora, and minutes to midnight Linkin park just dropped off and I don’t know where it all went wrong! I actually enjoyed minutes to midnight! But once a thousand suns came around the album was just so awful I had to turn it off! And living things is just as bad! And don’t get me started on one more light! Good god, what a terrible abomination this band had become!

4. Starts off Ok… Then Freefalls. - First three songs are ok. Castle of Glass isn’t my cup of tea but I can see why people might like it. Lies Greed Misery is the worst Linkin Park song in existence. Production is cool but this is the beginning of the lyrical nosedive by Mike Shinoda. Cheesy rapping. Four stars but can easily fall to three.
2021-10-21
5. A streamlined sequel to ATS - First of all, the misleading iTunes review believes that this album is a "return to [Linkin Park's] roots". I highly disagree with this sentiment. Rather, Living Things is a more focused follow-up to A Thousand Suns. Sound is much more consistant here, which could be seen as a positive ofr negative depending on your preferences. Hybrid Theory purists who have been begging for Hybrid Theory ever since MTM will probably like Lies Greed Misery, maybe Victimized, and possibly Lost in The Echo, and dislike the rest of the album. Like how I described ATS in the review I made for it, this album (along with ATS) is for people who can accept change. The serious tone of Hybrid Theory that has been a staple across all of their albums remains here, and wouldn't see a massive change until One More Light. If you're okay with that, get this album. You truly won't regret it.

6. LIT - THIS ALBUM IS ON FLEEK! THIS ALBUM IS SO ILL BRO! THIS ALBUM IS THE BOMB ON MY BIRTHDAY CAKE! LIKE I WISH THIS ALBUM TASTED AS GOOD AS IT SOUNDS BECAUSE IF IT DID I WOULD HAVE LIKINBETES. EVEN IF YOU COULD EAT THIS ALBUM I WOULD HOPE IT WOULD BE LABELED A VEGETABLE SO THAT I DONT HAVE TO EAT BROCCOLI. I COULD SIMPLY EAT LINKIN PARK IT EVEN KINDA SOUNDS LIKE A VEGETABLE. rip mike jenkenson

7. Insert RIP here - I've always considered this to be a phenomenal album, and will still continue to do so, Burn It Down is great. When I heard about Chester I didn't want to believe it. Goes to show that even those we look up to never have everything under control and won't always be around. I'm sorry it lead to this man, wish we could've done something to help...

8. I LOVE this album - I listened to this album over and over and over again one night while I was out of my mind on lsd and nitrous, and the music just got better and better. Grieving the horrific injury of a friend, the songs soothed my pain. Faced with my mistakes in life, the album spoke to me on so many levels and took me on a journey through my troubles and brought me to a place of transformation. Sober now, it will always have a special place in my heart and in my collection. Sounds great in my car too! Thanks LP for making great music. This one really helped me get through.

1. A No-Skip Outstanding Masterpiece - Collide was worth it, Comatose was great, but Awake blows every Skillet album before it straight out of the water. All said, this ties with Dominion for my nd favorite Skillet album, there is literally no bad song here! The worst (but not bad) one would be Should’ve When you Could’ve, but let’s focus on the good. Hero, Monster, and Awake and Alive are timeless masterpieces. Dead Inside might be my favorite bonus track Skillet has. Every other song is great for other reasons. This album is / material from one of the greatest bands that has ever existed.
2023-03-04
2. , I cannot - This is where Skillet went wrong, from being a great band to being a very bad one. Comatose put ‘‘em on the map, and what’d they do, they did what a lot of suddenly successful bands do—they milked out the formula of the winning LP. The earnest lyrics got traded for inanity (Should’ve When You Could’ve? Seriously?) and the music got overloaded with the strings (which worked on Comatose but not anymore), anthem rock and very lame ballads, crammed into the compositions so nothing flowed well (except Monster and maybe Never Surrender) and were just cringy. Sadly, Awake continued the success rather than killed it, and the downward spiral gained momentum; the following travesties were so bad that they came close to comedy. Which is a shame considering the albums they made up to Comatose, especially Alien Youth. Like other reviewers have pointed out, Awake’s success created a false impression of Christian metal with secular audiences; go back and listen to Alien Youth and then try to tell me that this is even remotely metal. Before this Skillet we’re anything but clowns; with Awake on out they morphed into them, and years later it still stings. There are other Christian hard rock/metal albums worth more of your time than Awake, and certainly deserve more recognition than this decliner.
2023-03-03
3. Keep your opinions to yourself, people. - These J E R K S need to stop hating on Skillet. I love them so much and I hate Christian music,-even though I’m Christen myself-and I love them. I also wasn’t a big fan of Rock ‘till I listened to Skillet. Anyways- keep on making great music, Skillet :]
2023-01-09
4. No, MY BUTTT!!, you get a life! - Terrible album, considering all that came before. Ragnarhasknots is totally spot on accurate in his or her assessment of this mediocre record. It is the end of when Skillet wrote actually good music, and only appealling to the wannabe headbangers all too common amongst the metal crowd today (christians and seculars included). Want real heavy metal that's Christ centered, to echo Ragnarhasknots? Try Antestor, Living Sacrifice, Becoming the Archetype, Broken Flesh, Abated Mass of Flesh, Impending Doom, Slechtvalk, Crimson Moonlight, Fit For a King, War of Ages, etc. And if that doesn't interest you or if you're just plain secular, try Primus. Professor Nutbutter's House of Treats alone melts this album to the ground, and so does Laquer Head.
2022-12-29
5. Sorry, my BUTTTTTT.... - But Ragnarhasknots is right. Thanks to Awake many seculars assume Skillet to be the definitive Christian metal band, as they did in the 's with Stryper. Stryper, as we know, are a joke, and sadly, this marked the point where Skilet turned from genuine, hard-edged rock to total joke. Awake regurgitates the streamlined symphonic rock of Comatose and renders it stiff, forced, and very awkward, and the lyrics become corny and downright cringy at times. Jen Ledger made her debut here, and she proves to have no restraint, in a bad way; she comes off highly annoying, in contrast to Korey Cooper, who wasn't the best singer but was earnest and simpler. Plus, too many ballads. The worst part is that this was an even bigger hit than Comatose, so big it created this misconception seculars have, which goes to show people love crap. And until recently they got worse and worse, entering one of the worst declines I've ever seen a band go. If you want to hear some truly heavy Christian metal, might I recommend Demon Hunter, Living Sacrifice, Hope for the Dying, War of Ages, Silent Planet, Fit for a King, Memphis May Fire, Impending Doom, and Bloodline Severed.
2022-10-05
6. The end of Skillet making good music - “Monster” is the absolutely last song that Skillet made that can be considered good at all. The rest of the album is endless filler and “Awake and Alive” gets ruined by the weasely vocals of Jen Ledger, who from this point on gets secondary lead vocals instead of Korey Cooper, which really stinks. This album’s commercial success has mislead seculars into thinking that Stryper and Awake onwards are all that Christian Metal has. In fact, there are countless bands heavier, more extreme and worthwhile. Among them:
P.O.D. Demon Hunter Living Sacrifice Becoming The Archetype
Broken Flesh
Project
Fit For a King
For Today
Haste The Day
Colossus Impending Doom
Disciple
And many many more. So don’t believe the lies this album tells you about Christian Metal, cuz there’s so much more to the genre than this

1. If you're only a fan of later era Aerosmith, then this is for you - This album should really be titled "The Best of Aerosmith: The Geffen Years" as this album only represents albums "Permanent Vacation" and beyond. If you're only a fan of that era, this is the perfect compliation for you. If you're like me and enjoy early Aerosmith as well (Dream On, Sweet Emotion, Big Ten Inch, Walk This Way), I recommend getting a more complete best of like The Essential Aerosmith (which is the same album as their "Oh Yeah!: The Ultimate Aerosmith Hits"). Unfortuately that album isn't sold on Itunes so you'll have to find it elsewhere. Good hits package but there's a better one if you want the complete hits package of Aerosmith.

2. Terrible - This is the garbage they churned out in the s and s. It's like in the s, they were awesome like Zeppelin. And then in the s, they were awesome like Nickelback. Garbage power ballads and shrill and silly rock songs. Dream On, Sweet Emotion, Back in the Saddle...those might as well have been a different band. If you Nickelback and Winger, this is the album for you.

1. Perfect imperfection - One of the best Unplugged sessions ever, if not the one. Layne wasn't well already, which makes this record bittersweet - despite all, AiC and Layne himself delivered a stellar performance full of pure emotions, love and pain...I believe this was Layne's purpose in his short life - to prove us that we need darkness to appreciate the light. This is the art at its finest. AiC proved to all the skeptics that so called grunge can not only survive Unplugged, but also take it to a whole another level of musical brilliance. A must have hands down. There's a reason you don't see one bad review. Thank you AiC and thank you Layne! Rest well

2. A Top GOAT live albums contender easily! - If you grew up as teenager during the 's and experienced the whole new genre at the time that was Grunge/Rock style music, you'll know that Alice In Chains was right in the middle of an already now booming Seattle music sound scene... This MTV Unplugged live recording of one of their last live performances with LB on vocals seemed to just capture that whole period of the pain that many were feeling at the time who too battled with drugs and addiction too, but we as the fans who were really lucky enough to live throgh all this and somehow heard this album know that this one was almost sent down from a higher power of the music gods to us to be forever recorded for prosperity by yet another incredibly talented young artist who left us far too soon.......... RIP - LB.... But listening to the whole thing from start to finish will def bring you back for sure and help it live on long forever indeed every time you hear it..... Arguably in my eyes, one of the BEST $. you'll ever spend on ANY iTunes live album ever....... I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and will alway too... Late!!!

3. This is a Great Album - I've had this album/ cd for a few years, listen to it a lot and it's hard not to listen from beginning to end. I usually don't care for "live" albums, but there are a few exceptions; Dead Can Dance () and Alice in Chains Unplugged. Each song on this album is better than its original album cut. The lyrics are unaltered by the studio, such as the original cd cuts of "Sludge Factory" and "Frogs". The compilation of songs exemplify the best of AIC and Staley; raw, gritty and full of emotions. Being that this is "unplugged", we can hear and feel the pain caused by addiction through Staley's lyrics. If love AIC, "Unplugged" and "Jar of Flies" are a must.
2014-11-10
4. Magnificent - The acoustic versions of some songs are on the whole as good as or better than their plugged-in studio counterparts (especially the ALICE IN CHAINS songs like "Frogs," "Sludge Factory" and "Over Now"). Even though Layne was stoned while this was recorded, he delivers the goods in spades, as do Mike, Sean and Jerry. A must at only six dollars.
2014-05-14
5. Hauntingly Fantastic - As a guy who had the great pleasure of going to high school during the "grunge" music era, this album resonates with me very deeply. I was/am a huge AIC fan and this album is hauntingly beautiful. One of the last shows that the great Layne Staley did and you could tell he was very deep into his losing battle of addiction, but still delivers some phenomenal vocals. If you love AIC, grunge, or just a great album then this is it. To me it's on par with the Nirvana unplugged album without question. Buy it, enjoy it, share it with your kids because it's a beautiful album. RIP Layne Staley you were one of my all time favorite frontmen.
2014-01-06
6. Hypnotic! - Without question , the best vocal, acoustical , and music performances that can be heard. Forget Metallica or any plebes of the sort , this is true talent even with a vocalist suffering from a gripping addiction. Only Nirvana may touch the realm of this group by any comparison; Layne Staley, and those magical vocals will never be duplicated.
2013-05-10
7. AIC Unplugged - The itunes review seen above is written for the album entitled "Alice In Chains" Is there an itunes review for this MTV Unplugged Acoustic album by Alice In Chains? Oh well, who cares. AIC is awesome and the previews sounded great so I'm gonna buy it regardless of what the critics say. But it would be nice if itunes could keep their review articles matched with their respective albums. Thanks itunes!
2013-05-05
8. acoustically marvelous - Layne and Jerry had the most unique pairing of voices and it is most here in songs like "Got Me Wrong" and "Brother", both maginficent. AIC really showed their emotional side in contrast to their more metal and grunge sound. By the way, the review is incorrect in that "Grind" is not in this album, they mean "Sludge Factory." By the way...by the way...

1. Should have been better - If you want their best “hits” or “best of” album get “Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection”, it’s by far superior to all the others but for some reason it’s not on iTunes. If you only want stuff you can get through iTunes this is your best bet but you’ll need to buy a few songs from a few albums to get a good collection.

2. This is terrible - The story so far??? Starting after the legit Hard Rock they once made? This is one of the worst compilations I have ever seen by any band ever. And the albums "High N' Dry" and "On Through the Night" are completely missing from iTunes. Is there some sort of legal battle going on between the band and their balls???
2020-05-09
3. More rehashed ripoffery - This is another money-grab from the former "greatest band of all-time". Nothing to see here but fangirls and zealots with ZERO perspective heaping praise on a B.S. collection of re-ordered "hits" packages from the past with MAYBE two twists thrown in to claim it's somehow original. SIX from 'Hysteria' - yep. THREE from 'Pyromania' - yep. FOUR from 'Adrenalize' (the only departure and mild surprise from the previous umpteen "hits" albums), yep. THREE miscellaneous from a soundtrack, a GREAT B-Side album and ironically, a rip from their FIRST "hits" album. Add in one mediocre and highly self-touted cover of Depeche Mode and you have Def Leppard squeezing more money from their ever-so-devoted fans. I was one until I saw this. My favorite band of the last years now really starting to show their spots. This is pathetic and embarrassing. RRHOF??? Joe always claimed to not care, but now he does. Phony disingenuous you-know-whats who haven't changed their show in years and sapping the unassuming fans. Shame on you defleppard

4. Pointless release !!! - I have every studio & live album but another greatest hits /best of collection ?? Hardly there best stuff is here & not representing every album is a shame. If you are new to the band pick it up but for long time fans this is a slap in the face. I guess Leppard owed one more album to there label & said ok a best of collection will do.

1. Undoubtedly my favorite album. - Listening to this album really takes me back to grade school. I got it shortly after getting my first portable CD player in like th grade & was the nd CD I ever owned, after Aerosmith’s “Greatest Hits”. I grew up listening to ’s/’s rock from my dads stereo. He had such a proud dad moment when he asked what CD I want with my CD player & I said “Aerosmith” and not “Kid Rock, Nelly, NSYNC, Brittany Spears or Eminem”. And that was the last time I ever made my dad proud, years ago.

2. One of the best albums of the - Everyone I knew in high school had this CD (mostly burned copies but that's why it's since gone on to sell million copies in the US alone because everyone that pirated it lost it over the yearsand because of how great it is,turned around & bought it). A perfect way for these guys to explode on to the scene with songs like 'Paper Cut' 'Points Of Authority' 'In The End' & Runaway'. I will never tire of listening to this CD. It holds a special place in my youth and helped me through those years. Now when I listen to it, it's still just as amazing. And with the bonus tracks, 'My December' & 'High Voltage' songs that didn't make the American CD release, it only highlights this album even more.

3. Dear iTunes, why rob a customer - I purchased this album years ago, then realized that High Voltage was the (live) version and not the studio one. years later I still can't purchase the song? at this point I gave up hoping to see a download version of it on my phone. I love this album. stars, but that one song is ruining it for me. When I see the studio version of High voltage this will get the rating it deserves.

1. Different Bands - This is a good album but, Van Halen is Dave! They should've changed their name. I like both era's and singers but they sound nothing alike and have a different feel. With Dave it was Rock with the attitude with Sammy more polished, more pop. Sammy has more range vocally but, the Dave era suited his voice. I wouldn't want to hear Dave sing Sammy's stuff either. Again I liked both but Van Halen is Dave. Van Hagar is Sammy.
2021-06-13
2. Just...wow - First off, I’m mind blown by Sammy. Before Eddie Van Halen’s death all I knew about Van Halen was barely anything of ‘jump’. I never really knew it and listened more to GnR or Def Leppard (that’s another story). Once I heard about his death on exactly October , . I was obviously sad because someone from the ’s died. I decided at that moment that I was going to listen to Van Halen more often. That started last year after EVH’s death in October. I listened more to the Roth side (, Van Halen II, Van Halen I, diver down, and women and children first). I started to side with the Roth side and at that time the only Van Hagar song I heard was ‘top of world’ from the the album ‘for unlawful and carnal knowledge’... I also agreed with Roth fans that he was better than Sammy. I think gradually till about January hey they both aren’t bad. It’s good they have a good relationship with each other (Roth and Hagar). Just like a week or so ago I came upon the album on a Van Halen station on Pandora. When I heard it I had no words to express what I heard. I was bamboozled and starstruck. Never have I heard such music. I now equally like them both for they are just as good as each other. This album is amazing. It brings me nostalgia when I listen to it even though I wasn’t alive till . My favorites are Love Walks In and Why Can’t This Be Love?. My favorite on this album though is Love walks in. I must say that I am proud of myself as a fellow Van Halen fan. From just really not knowing much about jump to liking both Sammy and David and knowing some stuff about them and Alex, Eddie , and Michael, was a journey for me. Contact is all it takes -Nat
Also I sometimes feel that I like Van Hagar more ,and at times I feel like I like Van Roth better
2021-03-25
3. Sad after ’s greatnesses - This album was like a step backwards in my opinion regardless of Sammy Hagar whom I did not like with in Van Halen musically though was progressive and A step forward as Edward was listening to Alan Holdsworth and implementing some of those techniques, that seem to totally disappear with this album as did anything new.
2019-01-02
4. one of Van Halens absolute best - For many years I followed my father ideology that this simply was just not Van Halen, we were Roth purists. But still curiousity led me to this album, as well as the good natured personality I had came across when listening to Sammy Hagar interviews. The guy is just an around good guy who is extremely passionate for music & his fans. So I listened to , and so a anti Hagar suddenly became open to this version of Van Halen. Hagar added this new element to the band that had never been heard before. Suddenly Van Halen had this vocalist that could add this soaring vocals to the element. This first effort by that band really is their best with Sammy. Suddenly for me Van Halen was no longer a roth days vs hagar days thing it really was just all Van Halen through and through.

5. Best Classics! - Well while people listen to that stupid 'st century crap I'm listening to the stuff real mean used to listen to back in the day! Screw fallout boy and all that crap! Hello 's again and forever! I've grown up on this stuff my entire life thanks to my dad! This is where I'm at thanks Van Halen for letting me jam to your amazing songs! I love Summer Nights the most!
2016-05-29
6. Best Van Hagar - It's not so much that Van Hagar was bad (albeit they were way more pop-oriented than the merciless raw power of the David Lee Roth era), as they were not VAN HALEN. I think it truly would have been appropriate to change the name because there is nothing similar between the two eras of the band. is, however, the closest Sammy and Co. come to the "Van Halen sound". As others have mentioned, many of these tracks were written with Roth, or initially with Roth in mind. I mean, who do you think was suppose to scream, "HELLO BABBBB YYYY" to kick off the album? Hagar even attempts some Roth type hoots and hollers along the way. And of course we can all hear diamond Dave singing "Get Up" or "Summer Nights." "Dreams" is a great song, but not a Van Halen song. "Love Walks In" ain't half bad either, but definitely the sort of poppy eighties ballad that drove Roth to strike out on his own. Ironically enough, Roth would put out some of the most blatantly eighties sounding/keyboard-driven music of anybody. But, I digress. Point being this was the closest this band came to sounding like Van Halen. From here on out, they would have been better off changing their name, and more honest to boot.
2015-11-12
7. A new different band - The best way to end the argument before it starts is to say “This is a new band, a great band nonetheless. The original Van Halen’s next album (despite Michael Anthony's absence) is ‘A Different Kind of Truth.’” As for , a great album with no fillers. All the songs are memorable. Eddie’s unusual trebly guitar sound is however inexplicable.
2015-03-08
8. THIS ALBUM ROCKS! - Van Halen was two different bands with Dave and Sammy. Both were great in there own right. Dave rocked but is basic and raw. Sammy is musically better but his style is more bluesy and intricate. If you are a VH fan, this album rips your face of right from the word go. Eddie shows his guitar prowess and Sammy is just a great singer. Period. Great soundtrack for summer driving. It will not dissapoint!

1. Crüe Crüe Crüe - To all those alternotrash lovers, hip hop/(c)rap lovers, and anyone else who doesn’t love real party and rebellious music, y’all just missed the Crüetrain. If MTV hadn’t yanked Home Sweet Home it would still be the number one video. From the beginning Motley Crüe took no prisoners and took on all challengers. Just true gritty, rebellious, and excitement. I still remember hearing the fans yell “Crüe, Crüe, Crüe”.

2. Fantastic. Amazing. Astounding. - This album is a must-have for huge Mötley Crüe fans. The vocals (Vince Neil) are amazing. All the instruments (Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars, Tommy Lee) never cease to amaze me. My favourites are Girls, Girls, Girls, Too Fast for Love, Home Sweet Home, Shout at the Devil, and If I Die Tomorrow. PS: If I Die Tomorrow, I’d listen to this album one last time.

1. Not brown sound - At low volume, listenable, but once you raise volume frequencies kinda hurts your ears.
That whole eliminating frequencies and compressing in order to save data.
Update: On bose mini speaker which has bass boost it sounds amazing but on apple earbuds It does not reproduce the same.
Apple should decide what type of sound output the music is meant for.

2. I’m also a big Van Halen fan :) - My favorites are I’ll wait, Panama, and jump, but the others are just as good. Listening to them reverts me back to try and feel like what it was living in the old times (I’m ). I’m still learning g how to use a cassette player, and the only cassette I have is a French lesson. With the sad passing of Eddie vh, I listen to this with an even bigger smile on my face, hoping he had a good life, as my friends think I’m weird (they listen to ppl like dua lipa, Ariana grande, Billie eilish, and Ava max). I’m not saying they are bad, I’m just saying that I prefer things like vh, kiss, Aerosmith, gnr, and cruë. I prefer David lee Roth as the lead singer of vh better than Sammy Hagar, though they are both good. Peace out

3. Good album ! Not there best, but still, pretty good. - With Panama and Hot for the teacher, definitly some great Van Halen. Even I'll wait and jump, to me , it still classic David Lee Roth. After all, it was ( I guess the name of the album gave it away, lol ).
Can't blame them for Eddy to try and carry them into the 's, and not be dinausors, even they they we're great at doing that.
It may be a bit commericail, but then again, Bands do want to make good, popular albums, well, most of them I think. Van Halen and Diver down, may be my two favorites. P.S., even thought I'm a David Lee Roth guy, I do like alot of Van Hager, pretty good job, considering you have to follow Diamon dave.

4. This is not the REAL Van Halen - I never understood what made this album so popular. This is coming from a band who produced some killer tunes such as mean street, Romeo delight, outta love again, etc.. Their first four records are incredible, but this, it shouldn't be considered quintessential Van Halen. Overrated album.

6. Sound seems to "JUMP" off the speakers!!! - Ok,to be fair, this is my ALL TIME FAVORITE RECORD. I mean that. I recall when I bought the LP at the initial release. Bought the cassette tape soon after for the car. I finally bought a CD player in the early 's and this was the first CD I purchased. Cassette and original vnyl literally wore out. Bought replacement tape, and a used vinyl once I got back into actual records again. I have a copy of the remaster of this, and couldn't notice anything different. This time, years later, they remasterd again and all I can say is WOW!!! Sounds so crisp, so clear, you can almost watch the sound JUMP (pun intended) from the speakers into the air. I don't know what they did differently this time, but there is a HUGE difference this go around. I suppose I've bought this recording nearly times (in all conceivable formats). I don't regret a single purchase, either. If you are a classic VH fan. A fan that laughs at the Hagar era, then you are worthy of this incredible edition of . GET THIS TODAY!!!

1. Best Alice In Chains Album - How could you top Dirt? Well, Jar of Flies. Good artists master their own style of music and great artists can go outside the box and create great music even if it’s not their style. Going from the full on assault of Dirt to the acoustic sounds of Jar of Flies is definitely different, but better. Listening to Alice In Chains is like reading a book. Know the history of the band and you’ll understand the music. I suggest listening to Dirt and then listening to Jar of Flies. I could do without the Whale and Wasp and Swing on This but the rest is just unbelievable music by an already unbelievable band.

2. Life Changing - AIC is literally the meaning of grunge, but with a sound of their own. This album shows both the dark and light side of their style of music to "Rotten Apple" to "Swing on This" and they even dabbled with a slight touch of country with "Don't Follow" while still keeping it grunge. This album in my opinion is their best work. A definite buy for any Alice In Chains freaks or people just getting to know this style of music.

3. Miss Layne Staley.. - One of the most amazing singers I have ever been graced with listening to.. I have been listening since day .. Give or take.. AIC has been nothing but an inspiration, he died way to young. Love the band, been a fan since the early 's before they released Jar Of Flies.. Still a fan to this day, I praise Jerry Cantrel for keeping it going but cannot listen to it without Layne sorry.. Love the band regardless .. Rain When I Die is still my favorite song.. Then Nutshell.. I have cherished many artists but Layne holds a special place in my heart. Drugs or not, this man was amazing. Ozzy, Dio, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Haliford , you name them, this man is up there with these great men..

4. My first exposure to AIC....stills gives me the chills! - To me Alice will always be the quintessential grunge band of the 's. Layne and Jerry's vocals in unison are hunting, and their slow songs are as equally thrilling as their faster heavier ones. This EP in particular contains of my favorite AIC's songs, the aforementioned, the superhit "No Excuses", the trippy "I stay away", and "Nutshell", which everytime I hear it, specially in the Unplugged album, it makes my eyes teary, and makes me think of Layne, and the pain he had to be under during those years. Jerry's guitar playing is amazing, I mean the whole band is so tight and play so well. I love all of Layne era AIC albums, but it always comes down to this ep with me, the first time I heard them, and made me a fan to this day.

5. Alice in Chain's Magnum Opus - This is my favorite album of all time. Here's a review of every song on the album.
. Rotten Apple - An epic and dark opener. /
. Nutshell - A fan favorite, and one of mine too. /
. I Stay Away - This song is the epitome of amazing. /
. No Excuses - The only "hit" off of the album, but that doesn't take away it's awesomeness. /
. Whale & Wasp - A beautiful instrumental with a lot of depth. /
. Don't Follow - Hands down the best song on the album. /
. Swing on This - Surprisingly the weakest song on the album, but is still awesome. /

1. Timeless classic - Of all The Cult albums this is the one. A true masterpiece. Song after song nothing goes to waste here.Every track is a jewel. It’s a rocker. Deep Dark Beautiful and Wild. It’s a mood. It’s a feeling. It’s a moment in time. It’s a revolution. Turn down the lights and fire up some candles. A sonic journey awaits.

2. Songs From My Youth - Formerly the Southern Death Cult, The Cult rebranded their sound from Goth to hard rock with this album and got us into the dance floor at the Kennel Club in Philadelphia. Ian Astbury’s snarling demeanor and love of glam rock straddles The Doors, Led Zeppelin and The NY Dolls, making this record a seminal standout in s alternative.

1. Every song is a hook - You can not just listen once! If you listen to this album all the way through and you are a rock lover or new wave lover and you enjoy complexity in drumming you will well let’s just say be very excited, one of the songs I believe is the weapon the drum part was created on a computer very intricate and peart learned it and it is drumming perfection use headphones and just melt into the music!!!

2. Like others say last of the great albums - This is the last great album from these guys. It doesn’t seem to be mixed as well as their past albums as the audio is weak and the drums and bass don’t hit the same as past albums. While riffs are clear they don’t hit like past albums. Maybe Geddie and his obsession with the synth. Is to blame. We know for sure he killed rushes sound completely with it. Power Windows and Grace Under Pressure had moments but Lee finished them off by forcing the synthesizer and keyboards on their sound. Alex was right to get angry so many garbage albums after this one and so many wasted years of their talent

4. The last of the star Rush albums - One of my favorite Rush albums, in terms of both sound and songs. There are more synthesizers here than on any previous Rush album but there is still plenty of guitar too. I love Geddy’s singing on this, especially on The Weapon, Subdivisions and the more mellow parts of The Analog Kid. My favorite songs are Subdivisions, The Analog Kid and The Weapon. The last album with producer Terry Brown and not uncoincidentally the last album with that original Rush sound. After this album they became a much different but not necessarily better band.

5. Who writes these ITunes reviews? - According to the official ITunes review, “Neal Peart is the only member to curtail his excesses.” BS. Neal Peart doesn’t “curtail” anything on this album, which is one of Rush’s best ever, especially following up their epic Moving Pictures. He hits those crashing cymbals more than ever, in his own delightful and unorthodox way, and Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are right there with him, evolving and changing Rush into something more and more introspective and socially relevant. As usual, the band is ahead of its and everyone else’s time in . Subdivisions speaks truth to any kid, like me, that grew up in the the late s/early s and lived out in the suburbs. The Breakfast Club would capture this angst a few later. New World Man is a song that still stands up in the year . And I challenge anyone to not be moved by Losing It. This is a band at the top of their game and creativity, and people disparaging this timeless piece of art just don't get it.

6. Rush answered the bell!!! - Trying to follow up “possibly” a top ten Rock album of all time in “Moving Pictures”, Rush answered the bell with flying colors with this effort. As easy to listen to from start to finish as any Rush album to date. Once again, Rush delivered. And big!!! Hail to The Kings and Rest In Peace, Professor!

7. A Must Have! - Subdivisions is one of my favoriate songs by RUSH. This track got me through some really hard times as I'm sure it has for many. in , there were not a lot of artists or bands writing songs like this that people could relate to. Subdivisions came at a perfect time in my life and is still on the top of my playlist to this day.

1. What an incredible find - I’m a year old man who has been in the music industry since I started playing the tuba in the minuteman band at year’s old. I have ran sound for a Black Sabbath cover band in the early ’s to running sound for a local Christian band for the last few years. I’m so thankful that a friend of mine dragged me down to see these guys when they came to ALaska. I had never heard of them nor could I name anything else from them. I’m extremely impressed with everything I have ever heard in my life. I have to admit that I have not listened to much of anything but these guys for the last ten years. I can sing most songs with all my strength and soul. I’m getting hard of hearing these long loud noises playing in my head have taken their toll over the years so if they are the last band I ever hear it’s a heart felt Thank you for the reason to hear from the bottom of my heart. 2. Awesomeness - I have been a fan of Godsmack and I’ve seen them live times. I love all their music, they possess great talent and it’s interesting to see them evolve and try new things. I believe Legends Rise is the best yet!!! I look forward to their next album because I know that it too will be Awesome!!!

3. NickleSmack - I’m a fan of Godsmack and grew up listening to them in the ’s early ’s.
To me Faceless was a masterpiece and really showcased what these guys could do, obviously the self titled and Greed were amazing as well, hell even the little acoustic EP they did was better than this. This seems to be the trend with heavier music aside from really dedicated metal bands. The older they get the more the head to the more “Top , this is going to be on every major station and be played side by side with whatever pop/soft rock songs are marginally popular” it’s a shame. Metallica pulled themselves out of the gutter after St. Anger so maybe Godsmack can do the same? Let’s hope so.

4. Under Your Scars - Powerfully poetic. Skillfully artistic.
Beautiful masterpiece.
This is music that speaks.
Musicians transform and change with their art over time. If one does not change, one does not grow. Change can be scary, but change can also be majestic. May we focus on the stars and not on the scars of the journey that takes us from where we were to where we are. ¡Bravo! ¡Bravo!

5. Dont listen to these stupid robot made comments - I believe this is the best album I have ever heard from them. They have moved close to perfection in their music; every song has a meaning and I love each one of them. Reading the comments of star ratings almost gave me cancer and make me feel the same way when Donald Trump became president. These comments are not man made. (Robots)

6. Moderately Different - I had liked Godsmack for a good long while, and like some other bands in today’s harsh world of criticism and cynics, they’ve put together a pretty decent album. They’ve still got edge to their music, though maybe not as heavy as their preceding albums, but again, it’s put together quite nicely when many music artists out there are finding ways to experiment with different styles to add on what they currently have. Creativity is key, even if it is “generic” and maybe not what others expect. I can appreciate this.
2019-05-03
7. Disappointing - Cookie Cutter seems to be a theme here, and it's pretty well earned. Say My Name and Eye of the Storm come close to having some balls, but beyond that....I've got no issue with new directions and bands evolving....so long as they evolve into something that is still distinctly their OWN, for better or worse...I feel like i've heard this album before as some weird amalgamation from Skillet and Nickelback.
2019-03-22
8. Great Album! - I’m a longtime Godsmack fan. Although this new album is departs from the traditionally gritty Godsmack sound, vocally Sully has really knocked it out of the park! Godsmack can be heard and felt throughout the entire album. The new sound is a natural evaluation of an artist committed to growth and breaking boundaries. This will be a tremendously successful album for the band! Good for them and good for us!

1. Van Halen II Delivers California Gold - There are many fine musical moments throughout the classic - David Lee Roth era Van Halen. But if you want to treat yourself to the ultimate sampling of everything that made this band legends...there’s only one album for ya...Van Halen II. It’s all here. Roth’s tongue in cheek word play served up with style on “Bottom’s Up” and “Beautiful Girls”. A hard rock band by definition, but an untouchable enigma in reality, VH II finds the boys breaking through uncharted sonic boundaries with the progressive, hard driving “Light Up the Sky”, and of course the instrumental tour de force “Spanish Fly.” And the famous VH party hearty swagger? Yeah it’s here. And VH gives it good with “Somebody Get Me A Doctor”. And oh yeah, let’s not forget the hard candy of the sweetest order with “Dance The Night Way.” Van Halen was so on top of their creative game at this point, they didn’t even bother to make “You’re No Good” sound like Linda R’s original. It sounds like a brand new classic. The instrumental intro to “Women In Love” is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever created. Eddie Van Halen could do that one minute and next, scorch the earth with the definitive VH II guitar solo which cements “Outta Love” as a stone cold rock masterpiece. California has been home to many great bands. But none rocked the hard stuff better than Van Halen. Pure California Gold. As we continue to mourn the loss of Edward Van Halen, let’s also celebrate...After all, VH is the ultimate soundtrack to any great party so...Pour a tall, cold one and enjoy the greatness that is forever Van Halen II. Rock on...

2. DLR bad voice? Uh no. - I've heard so many so called Rock and Roll fans say that DLR never had a good voice. Oh no? Just listen to this album a couple times. DLR's vocal style fits perfectly with the musical arrangements. He's lost that high pitched scream over the years (too bad) but it was pleasure to the ears while he had it. From MA's booming bass licks to AVH's pounding drums to Eddie's classic guitar work and DLR's powerful vocals, this album is perfect. It's vintage VH from start to finish!

3. A sequel album - Van Halen II picks up exactly where the debut album left off. This album mainly consists of songs that where left over from recordings of the first album that didn't make the cut. Both Van Halen and Van Halen II were written during the band's club days before scoring a record deal. Van Halen II is one of the greatest sophomore efforts to be released by a hard rock band. It contains some great classics. "Dance the Night Away" has a great pop groove that's easy to dance too. "Beautiful Girls" talks of the beach life in Southern California. "D.O.A." and "Somebody Get Me A Doctor" has amazing riffage from the incomparable Eddie Van Halen. The rhythm section of Michael Anthony and Alex Van Halen is just as tight here as the first album. A great continuation of the first album with hooks like no other.

5. CLASSIC!! - I know alot of people love Van Halen the most (it is amazing) however van halen is an extension of the first and dare i say has some of the greatest van halen songs ever written on it incl. D.O.A. , Light Up The Sky, Somebody Get Me A Doctor, and my favorite unknown van halen song outta love again.
DLR and Michael Anthony vocals alone are incredible let alone the Van Halen's pumping out their best work on the record IMO With This remaster it never sounded better for all to enjoy

1. A must-have album! - Easily one of the best rock albums of all time! From top to bottom every song is great. Not just good, GREAT. It took me way to long to recognize just how good these guys were, fronted by one of the best vocalists of any musical era. I challenge you to find a better singer than Chris Cornell.

2. I loved this album when I was young and I still love it now. - This album is when I first heard it years ago and it still holds up to this day. This is without question to me one of the best grunge albums ever released. This album is flawless in my opinion. R.I.P CHRIS CORNELL. hopefully he’s finally found some sort of peace in the afterlife.

1. Read the lyrics - This album grows on you exponentially more if you read the lyrics. Not an album for beginner listeners as the music takes you on a journey that can be dark at times. Clutch has definitely matured in their last couple of albums. This ain’t the Clutch your daddy listened to. I love it.

2. American rock is CLUTCH!!!!!! - There’s no other band that gets me so excited for a new album. I’m like a year old boy on Christmas Eve and just like , CLUTCH delivers. Pure American rock fury!!!! They ain’t joking when they say”they strive for excellence “ if you’re ready to ROCK, CLUTCH will always be ready to ROLL!!!!!!! Much love!!!!!

3. Clutch do it EVERY time - Book of Bad Decisions was a huge album and it’s cool to see the boys come back with a more concise, rock and roll album without so many bells and whistles. And that’s exactly what this is. There’s no in walks barb songs on here but that makes the meat and potatoes feel of the album special. This album is like psychic warfare on a no fat diet. Excellence.
