1. Superb Vocals - When you gather with friends for Christmas, do you play the same boring songs that you heard for the last fifty years? Do you enjoy it? Me, neither. So, get the PTX Christmas album and boredom will not be an issue. It starts with a really lovely rendition of “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” that quickly goes off the rails into a Christmas/gospel /swing version. The second cut brings you back gently with the Pentatonix treatment of the enigmatic “White Winter Hymnal.” This is the cut that got me started on Pentatonix and has caused me to binge on more and more of their stuff. After you glut yourself on WWH (I recommend two dozen plays to get you warmed up) then, and only then, look up a video of their performance. The choreography of their clapping, snapping, slapping routine is really cool. But you will be distracted from the electric vocals if you first focus on their complicated hand action. Cut is a very nice, but very conventional, rendition of Sleigh Ride. But never fear, it’s followed by a calypso version of Winter Wonderland! is the title cut: That’s Christmas to Me. It will probably inspire a sentimental tear or two. The vocals are superb, giving the baritone singer the spotlight for a while. Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy has no words as well as no instruments (hey, it’s a cappella, remember?) Think it’s goofy? Give it a chance. It won the group a Grammy. The last of eleven cuts is a magnificent rendition of Disneys Frozen theme. Now, darn it, I have to get the Frozen DVD so I can watch that again! Through all this musical wonderfulness, keep reminding yourself: there are no instruments. Just voices, microphones, and immense talent. Hooray for PTX!

2. Pentatonix Amazes Again!! - I have been a fan since day ! This album is amazing though!! Mary did you know is so beautiful, the arrangement and deliver is amazing. I'm always amazed at these four, their style, their voices, delivery, and how fresh they keep it. We have seen them in concert X- never disappointed! Great job Pentatonix! (Tac,WA)

3. Amazing, so so good! - This is incredible, and every member of this group is so talented! Mary Did You Know is FANTASTIC, and That's Christmas to Me made me want to cry, it was so sweet, nostalgic, and emotional. While Let It Go may be overplayed and not a typical Christmas song, the rendition in this is completely original and just so incredible, and Mitch, you're fabulous. You're my queen! As for almost every negative comment, this is a pop group, of course a lot of the songs will be pop. You should have expected that, and maybe you should listen to the previews of the songs before you buy them. Just a hint. Again, Pentatonix, you're all fabulous, and each of you just keep doing you. Your new album is amazing, as usual.

1. Good Christmas Album but... - Should of left Jingle Bells to Barry Manilow and White Christmas to The Drifters since both of these songs that Michael sings sound like bad remake versions of the artists above. Make your own version instead of trying to sound just like someone else. Santa Baby is just bad. Leave that one to Eartha Kitt or Madonna. I'll give him credit on Cold December Night

2. I love Michale Bublé - All I want for Christmas is the best song by him it’s not like Miriah is bad it’s just his is more better it’s just more Christmasy Miriah is just more upbeat and take the Christmas out of it don’t worry there both my favorite by them but I prefer Michale Bublé he’s a great singer and he’s very good looking Marry early Christmas

3. AMAZING - It’s the middle of July and this classic never gets old! It’s so amazing!!!! The rhythm beats out Christmas and I’m a Christmas fanatic lol! But bublé never fails to put a smile on my face! And he brings back so much joyful memories of the season whenever it’s giving gifts or volunteering at a soup kitchen. they really know how to make you smile and be happy! So speak for yourself grinches this album is amazing!!!

4. The prettiest sight to see is dat da family will be waiting for u! - It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, Hanukkah, kwanza . Christmas Family . Christmas fwends . Christmas Snow, cold
. Christmas Presents . Christmas Happy , joy . Kids playing and having fun more then ever!
. Christmas trees . Christmas decorations . Santa pics . Gingerbread houses . Milk and cookies . Snowflakes , snowball fights . Christmas carols . Christmas pjs

5. Michael Buble Christmas - This album takes Christmas to the best level! Michael has an amazing voice and it seems like he is the perfect bit of Christmas in every song he sings. My favorite song in this album is feliz navidad. It is a catchy song and the woman he sings it with is an amazing singer too which makes the whole song just awesome!

1. Okay, But Not Great Compared To Prior Albums - Maybe my expectations are too high after their first two Christmas albums, but I’m a little disappointed. Good stuff, but nothing great. Beautiful version of “Hallelujah” but there’s nothing about the words and message of that song that says “Christmas."

1. They RUIN these songs - Sure, the cast has lots of talent, but read some of the critical reviews before buying this album. As a professional DJ for many years, I would never consider playing this music for a party... too many annoying and unnecessary distractions (added for what reason, I can't imagine). One minute and ten seconds into "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch", for example, they add a spoken word segment that really ruins an otherwise very good musical production with K.D. Lang ( I LOVE K.D. Lang ). I'm really disappointed in this album... with no disrespect to the Glee Cast, who I think are very good, someone needs to rein in the overproduction and added junk. What were they thinking ?

2. Great Holiday Album, at least check out if skeptical - I must agree with user Sp, this is a must holiday album of the holidays. They have a beautiful duet between Kirk and Blain of "Baby its Cold outside: that was absolutely amazing. When I heard I was shocked, I thought they may butcher it or ruin the song in some way but the whole album they paired the right vocals at the right time for each track and duet and they blended beautifully and belonged together and sounded right. There rendition of “The Most Wonderful Day of The Year”, it was well done and everyone was on the same page as far as music. This is by far one of my favorite songs of the album next to “Baby its Cold Outside”. I’m soundtrack buyer, but by far this has been there best album they have put out yet and the one of their best holiday albums by far. I myself even bought songs off it, do plan to go back later and but the rest, its rare to find a very good sound track especially a holiday one from a show. I do recommend at least a listen.

3. Wow, I am appalled. Glee is amazing. - I am appalled. People come on here to write a one star review, and the entire thing says "Glee suxx" and that's it. What on earth?! Has anyone taken the time to really see the talents of Darren Criss? Whoever called them "Cooperate Puppets" should look up Starkid. I am appalled.

4. Quinn's solo - I love Glee and loved this album except I really disliked how they took out Quinn's solos in The Most Wonderful Day of The Year :( I love her voice and was super psyched when I saw her sing the Christmas episode but when I listened to the song it wasn't her on the CD it was Kurt. Kurt is great but I like Dianna's voice much better and she never sings! This was a little disappointing

1. A perfect Christmas album! - This album is great. There’s a perfect combination of uptempo songs to get you in the Christmas spirit such as Underneath the Tree and Run Run Rudolph, and then there’s her take on classics like Blue Christmas and Silent Night. She has an amazing voice, perfect for Christmas. This album is always in my holiday rotation.

2. Wow just wow - This album is so amazing. It’s a Xmas album but honestly I could listen to these jams all year long. So good Kelly your just an amazing singer and you really know how to bring it. This is a today kind of Xmas album for sure. We all listen to the oldies and yes I have those too but this is just fun and new.

3. One of the best - This is my favorite album by Kelly. Her covers are unique, but don't lose the spirit of the original. And they are a mix of many genres, so it's not all one long run. The original tracks are all superb. The production is pretty good. It has some minor flaws(she's kinda loud on the duet), but the rest is so amazing. Definitely one of the best Christmas albums ever. It's my personal favorite.

4. Voice like a cup of cocoa - For those who are saying it's too modern or comparing to Mariah- you're on crack! So many Christmas albums out there, and this is at the top! Kelly's voice makes me feel like I'm sitting with a comfy blanket with a cup of cocoa in hand. Beautiful. Great songs. This is my first review. I felt compelled to review!

5. A new Christmas feeling everytime with this album - I was so proud of Kelly Clarkson. She did A-M-A-Z-I-N-G in this album! I was really delighted that she sang with children when performing her songs! Really love the feeling from this album. Wrapped In Red shall be on top every Christmas! My favorite song is obviously Underneath the Tree! Love the meaningful lyrics! Amazing album!

1. love the harmony, amazing voices BUT - WHY IS LET IT GO ON A CHRISTMAS ALBUM?!?!? OH MY WORD. THIS IS ABOUT JESUS NOT GAYS!!!!!! Like what even?!?! Let It Go is blatantly gay, something the Bible condemns and I can give you book(s) chapter(s) and verse(s) to prove it, so why on earth is it mingled with Christmas music??

2. You guys ROCK - The first song I heard of yours was on YouTube, it was Little Drummer Boy and I was immediately hooked. You kids are just OUTSTANDING, your sounds and vocals all mesh together so well. Keep up the excellent work, this album is another excellent piece of work from you all. Thanks, Merry Chirstmas and Happy New Year.

1. Fantastic music - Good King Joy is personally my favorite song from TSO! I end up singing it to myself whenever I’m working on something. A bunch of the other songs on this album and a couple other albums just don’t really compare to it for some reason. This song just has a very special charm. TSO’s music is still amazing overall!
2021-11-08
2. BUY THIS!!! - I first heard TSO on Christmas night . I was given a copied CD of "Christmas Eve and Other Stories" by a friend that new my taste in music. My wife and I were on our way home when I popped in the disc and from the very beginning of "An Angel Came Down" to the last full song "An Angel Returned" I have been hooked. The last few acoustical tunes are just filler but every tune before those are great. I was so hooked I made sure to go see them in concert Christmas and have not missed a TSO Christmas Show or "Beehtovens Last Night" tour since. The music and lyrics are so inspiring and also Christian. If I did not know better I would think they were a Christian group because of their lyrics. But that was put to rest when I talked to the drummer Jeff Plate and he laughed when I asked him if he is a Christian and he responded "I don't think so." That blew that theory out of the water. But when you listen to these songs, listen to the stories. If you have a soul you will cry, smile, laugh and just be uplifted. "Good King Joy" is the story concerning the three wise men and the journey to see the new born King...GREAT LYRICS and the music is too. That is just one of many. "Old City Bar" will bring tears to your eyes and then "This Christmas Day" will leave you filled with joy.
I could go on about TSO, and this is only one of the trilogy. Get all of them, you will not be sorry. "Christmas Eve and Other Stories" is by far the greatest Christmas contemplation ever put out...trust me on this. And to the downers that trash this and the other two of the trilogy; you have no soul and you know nothing about music or the meaning of Christmas. Rest In Peace Paul O'Neill, you have inspired so many during your short time on this planet...your end came way too soon.

3. The best band there is...period. - I have seen these guys live times (sometimes twice a year). They are phenomenal. This really gets my Christmas spirit going! Thier other albums are great as well, and they even have that aren't Christmas themed. To anyone who enjoys music, rather you like rock, rap, country, or classical, you will love this album, and this band. I guarantee it :)

4. Christmas time - The best music ever. It's like rock but your talking about Jesus at the same time . I love the Music love love love love love love it.

5. Amazing - The first concert i ever went to was a TSO concert and i loved it.So good at what they do.My favorite song is First Snow.I'm going to your concert soon at consol energy center.I posted things about TSO on Facebook and bought every song!I am a th grade drummer and i play along with them on my iPod .I'm striving for pro drummer.Keep up the great music. And never quit!

6. Vocals ruin near perfection - This album is full of great and innovative Christmas music. This is true only of the instrumentals. Some of the songs are near classic. The vocals, however, are terrible. For instance, on Good King Joy, the song is awe inspiring until the vocal section. Total loss of majesty. The tone changes completely and it is such a let down until it ends with the instrumental section again. This is a theme repeated on all TSO albums. Perfection ruined by shoddy attempts at rock vocals that have no place in Christmas music.
2013-01-04
7. The Worst Version of the Best Song Ever - Full of rushed timing, blasé phrasing, and a simply uninspired spirit of musicality. This is like taking the Mona Lisa and slapping her across the face. Worst $. I've ever spent, and I love TSO. They not only missed the mark on this one, they nuked it as they flew past.
2012-12-26
8. Beautiful in a crazy sort of way - I saw these guys in concert last year for my b-day. They ROCK!!! They were on this elevated thingy at one point. Where I was sitting, I was so close! (Two of them, btw) they waved to me!!!! :)
The guy was kinda cute, actually. He had a nice smile. ;) (don't tell anyone I said that!)

9. Christmas Eve & Other Stories - I purchased this Trans-Siberian Orchestra CD and all the songs transfered extept Christmas Eve/Sarajevo. Song on the album. I purchased the Album to get that particular song. The song is in there and states that I purchased it, but it is in a cloud and won't allow me to download it. There was nothing showing on the album that this particular recording had to have a special authorization requiting me to pay and additional $. authorization fee. What a rip off.
2012-11-23
10. Close minded - Ok, so obviously some people are very close minded when it comes to music. Criticizing this art because it is not traditional classical music or to one person's individual liking is rediculious. This album is phenomenal in my opinion but I will not criticize anyone for choosing to give I a bad review. I highly recommend this album and every TSO album for that matter.
2012-10-21
11. Are You Serious? - This is typical. Let's make already great songs sound like garbage by jacking it to an amp. I have heard of Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and they mostly attract those whom never truly listen to classical music or have never played classical music in an orchestra. I really did wanted to give them a try, because in the past my orchestra teacher used to make fun of this group to his class. After listening to all the tracks of this CD and their others, I can finally say that they are terrible.
2012-04-29
12. Amazing - TSO will never get old! The review above is exactly right; the music blows you away. Whether you're listening in the car or seeing them live on stage, the emotional experience is unlike any other. They do an amazing of putting their own rock/classical twist to traditional Christmas tunes. Love, x! Biggest fan:)

1. Love it - This cone out when I was two and a half and I still love it. I’m vibing to it as we speak. Pentatonix is the best acapella group I know of (sorry if I spelt that wrong) p.s. if you’re reading this right now (you don’t have to be a pentatonix member) but still, if you’re reading this right now and you’re going through a crisis in your life just remember that you are loved by at least , people in this world. All hope isn’t lost, we just have to believe in ourselves. Also, remember that if somebody is being rude to you at any moment just shrug it off and forget it, violence is never the answer but peace is. Anyways back to this album, I just love it, keep up the great work pentatonix

2. Gorgeous music - This is utterly beautiful music. Exceptional voices, harmony, and musical arrangements. I first heard this group on a local Christian radio station, and am grateful for Siri’s help in informing me of the group’s name and album. Once you hear their gorgeous music, you are hooked. I recommend them highly!

3. Wow - Best band ever! I listen to Little Drummer Boy every single chance I get! I recommend that you listen to Little Drummer Boy! I'm so happy that I'm in choir! If I hadn't been in choir, I probably would have never found out about Pentatonix! I also recommend something else: go on bing and watch their videos. They'll take your breath away!

4. Love the Traditional Carols!! Beautiful!!! - I would despised Christmas songs. They were overplayed, boring, and never gave praise for the reason for the season. I love the arrangements of the traditional Christmas songs!!! Love!!! This is literally my first Christmas album purchase for the years I've been on the earth. PTX... Such amazing... Thank you for giving the world this gift.
2014-12-09
5. Beautiful arrangements and harmonies - Anyone who's ever sung Christmas songs knows that the beauty of most the classic songs is the wonderful harmonies and the sweet simple message of the songs. PTX has captured that fold with their captivating acappella album. A must buy for every Christmas play list.

2. This is so good - This makes me feel thinking about all getting for Christmas is you!!! You are beautiful. I hope you know that, if you don’t than I- . You’re beautiful. BABY ALL I WANT FIR CHRISTMAS US YOUUUUUUUUUU ( ok imma stop dis so cringe ) And also this song is so good please keep making more. It’s so good.

3. Unsure - Not unsure about the rating, but there are some mixed comments on this that I somewhat agree on. I’m not saying these songs are bad, they’re absolutely amazing, but it’s more of a “ooh look at my voice” than a “Christmas song album” oh well. It looks like I’ve gotten off track here. Aside from that, beautiful voice and would recommend. Listen to it every Christmas!

1. Talented duo but depressing - This is the most depressing collection of holiday tunes I've ever heard. Seriously made me consider drowning myself in a pool of eggnog about halfway through the album. They are talented musicians but this is not cheery or uplifting holiday music at all. Maybe I'm missing the point.
2016-12-09
2. Really like their spin... - I must start by saying I'm not in love with the whole album, a few songs didn't go with my past feel of the song...but that being said five of the song on here are wonderful and are on my all time Christmas list of music, right beside Frank Sinatra's Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Bing Crosby's White Christmas, and other classics like these...
2014-12-03
3. Not What You Want - First song, Christmas Waltz, is fantastic. Stripped-down acoustic with Zooey's charming vocal. However, after that, I have trouble finding the spirit. From the cover, you'd hope for fun, pop-tinged retro-loving Christmas tunes. I love Xmas music, and I love She and Him--but I do not love this album. It should have been called 'Blue Christmas'--it just has a sad feeling to it. I buy Xmas cds and I listen to them every year. I have not listed to this cd since I bought it in .
2014-11-23
4. How Christmas music should be played - She & Him brings back the relaxation of Christmas vacation. They bring back the idea of chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Just the thing to take your mind off of the stress of buying presents and really rewinds you to what Christmas is all about; chillaxing with those you hold most dear.
2014-10-29
5. A Very Pleasurable & Warm Christmas - Let me start by saying I absolutely adore Zooey Deschanel. New Girl is one of my favorite shows. This album is PERFECTION. Every single song is wonderfully executed. Being the ukulele player that I am i love how Zooey tied it in. My favorites are - Christmas Day, Christmas Wish, Sleigh Ride, Silver Bells, Blue Christmas (the only version of the song I'm really crazy about), and Little St. Nick. I cannot wait to listen to this on iTunes AND vinyl.
2014-03-03
6. Intimate holiday collection - If you are looking for a saccharine overproduced collection with sappy arrangements, look elsewhere. This is an intimate collection of really nice heartfelt songs. It is warm and charming. It is perfect with a unique style. I would suggest this as a great addition to anyone’s collection of holiday music. It fills a niche all its own with character and style.
2013-12-13
7. Talented performer calm but wanting in too stark a spotlight - I like the concept, and I adore Zooey Deschanel—who has an innate sense of timing as an actress and a lovely voice suited to this style of singing—yet the arrangements and mix throw too much of the spotlight on her vocal, nakedly up front in the mix. She needed a producer who would advise her on some minor but vital alterations to her phrasing and/or go in with her for some postproduction nips and tucks. Every time you think she's purposely clipping her delivery, she opens up and with no effort at all holds a note rather prettily, yet becomes too long to be comically understated yet not long enough to finish the musical phrase. And so it comes off as something she walked in and did in a matter of a day or two (or after work on odd evenings), which some truly gifted singers at the top of their craft can pull off, but here, I focus on what Deschanel is clearly capable of and what the sparse and slow style of arrangement and recording demand yet what she's just not quite delivering. Those little wanting moments here and there in between lines she delivers quite well turn a quirky and would-be languid approach into a series of distractions rather than the successful execution of a stylistic choice, leaving you with something you won't be eager to listen to year after year, which is after all what Christmas albums are about. Turning it down to serve as lilting background to a holiday fete (or in keeping with the style and its execution, hipster tryst, or heroin overdose) would make the instrumentals virtually disappear. To be fair, the sparseness of the arrangement demands that the vocalist rein in normal instincts to go anywhere near the fullness of their instrument throughout most of these songs. Yet these are melodies and lyrics with a natural ebb and flow of emotion any singer or actress, even one with Deschanel's penchant for understatement, would and should see as guiding them to flow toward and inhabit just a bit more here and there, even as obviously the conceit is to stand outside of them and only gesture toward them, never actually pressing her face against the glass much less stepping inside them fully. When reinterpreting classic songs everybody has heard a thousand times and most people have a preference if not a prejudice for how the song "is supposed to go," if you want to supplant or hold their own beside those versions for anyone you need either an uncanny knack for it, or the time and focus to craft a more perfect rendering of your vision than we're presented with here. Bottom line: These sound like the outtakes or rehearsals for the record this seems to want to be, which ultimately is a record of Christmas carols for people oversaturated or alienated by both traditional and modern takes on Christmas carols.
2012-12-24
8. A Very Nostalgic Christmas - I love this album, even if it made me feel like I was celebrating it alone in my apartment with my cat and snoopy tree. My only complaint is that M. Ward only sang in two songs, very disappointing. I would have loved to hear him sing Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree. Great album, but it could have been much better.
2012-12-05
9. Save Zooey!! - First let me say i really wanted to live this album. Unfortunately, it seems Zooey & Him fell into a deep cavern. Being on a rather tight schedule, they were forced to record this before the rescue workers could reach them. Seriously though, I'm fine with the melancholy style, but why on Earth add so much terrible reverb and make it so muddy-sounding, and why overdo the autotune so much when Zooey sounds so good on her own?
2012-12-05
10. Not Very Merry - He's a great guitar player and she's got a great jazzy voice…instead, what we get is a monotonous Christmas album that sounds like it was recorded in a studio apartment. There was so much potential for this record but rather than an upbeat holiday album, we get a depressing version of the songs we grew up with. It may appease a hipster crowd, but if your looking for something to put you in a jolly mood, stay away from the She & Him Christmas album.
2012-12-04
11. Oh No She Didn't - Zooey, I must confess, you have one likable little personality. Your singing voice, however, is anything but. I'm sad to say that as an employee of Bath & Bodyworks I'm forced to hear these flat, personality-less tracks over and over again. I realize that most of America is growing tired of auto tune, but I'm sorry, it was invented for a reason and SHE should use it.
2012-12-01
12. UGH! - How is it possible to do a dreary version of "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree"?? But leave it to the dreariest sounding band/act on Earth do come up with one. Zooey Deschanel is a one trick pony vocally. Everything sound exactly like the next song and the next song and the next song. Buy one song and you'll have everything you need from this album.
2012-12-01
13. Geez, how about a little energy! - I'm a fan of Zooey, as an actress and a singer, but this sounded like they rushed her into the studio after a long day. This was described as a "laid-back celebration" but that's even too festive of a description. She sounds best when she's really putting some heart into her voice.
2012-11-26
14. Second Best Christmas Album of the Year! - Behind Buble's, this is the second best christmas album of the year and one of the top complete christmas albums of all time. Many christmas ablums have a few hits that fit well into the standards that you'd either want to hear each christmas or at least be ok with hearing every year, but this album's songs are all of that caliber. This genre is perfect for Zooey's voice. Her voice is perfect with the right context and when used appropriately. Her voice is not good with all types of music, but this is her ideal genre. He, on the other hand, is lack lustre and forgettable. It's how i felt about his vocals on their earlier efforts as well. Another thing that makes this such a great album is their excellent song choice. I especially liked how they reversed the parts on Baby, It's Cold Outside. It gave the song a quirky twist that felt unique.
2012-01-23
15. Weak - My wife bought this album for the holidays. Because like most girls out there between the ages of -, she enjoys Zooey. And granted the girl knows how to hold a note when she sings. That being said it doesn't make her a singer. There were lots of spots where she is flat or just kind of all over like she's searching for the right key during the song. I honestly feel like if it wasn't for her "celebrity" (which at times can be as flat as her singing) she would never get the chance to record. Most of the high reviews are from fan girls who wouldn't give an honest opinion regardless. Even after the wife gave this album a hard listen she didn't really care for it either. The song that destroyed it for me was "Little St. Nick", even thinking about it now it's like they don't realize you can record a song more than once before you put it on an album to sell nationwide. I didn't make it through the whole song, it was that bad. I feel sorry for the Beach Boys. Please do yourself a favor and pass this album up.

1. The Glee Project Kids - I might be in the minority but I like the Glee Project kids and am glad they have songs on this album. Lindsay and Alex were great on Do You Hear what I hear and we could hear Samuel doing a great job on Santa Claus is coming to town. Of course Damian is now a cast member and his Blue Christmas is...beautiful. I'll probably be listening to that in the middle of July.
2011-12-27
2. Jenna Ushkowitz, or...? - I like all the songs (mainly because all the other Christmas carols now are annoying autotuned crap, and these people can sing), but I can't tell if "Do You Hear What I Hear" is Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) at the beginnig or someone else. This is what happens when people don't get any solos. Rawr.

3. Do you know it - I actually really like the song "Do they know it's christmas?" Not cause it's really good or anything, just the meaning behind it in the episode. It was super cute when they were with all those homeless children and the song went well with the moment. Still, I wouldn't recomend buying it on its own. The song itself isn't that great. & Oh My God, that new kid, Rory (i think), is amazing on Blue Christmas!!!!!!! I never watched The Glee Project, but I see why he won. His voice is great!
2011-12-24
4. Did anyone else hear it? - I don't know if I'm hallucinating or If I'm wrong but in "river" I pretty sure Rachel is very flat on one of the notes. I'm not sure if I'm wrong or what but listen to it and tell me if you hear it too! Other than that I love glee! I like some of these song but not all of them.
2011-12-23
5. Once again glee killed it. :D - This album is AMAZING. Glee puts a modern twist on Christmas classics and makes it more appealing to the younger generation! This is a must buy, not just for glee fans but for anyone wanting a good Christmas album.
If you go to "app trailers" app and enter code word "kaylamir" you can get points which can almost buy you an iTunes giftcard to get this album for dollar. :)

6. Awkward Xmas episode, but good vocals - Who's the singer on the track for "Do You Hear What I Hear"? The episode was a little bit overboard on the cheesy side, but I still like a good deal of the singing. "My Favorite Things" was somewhat of an odd choice in the episode, but I guess it fit in with the gift-giving idea. I happen to like Finn (Cory) and Puck's (Mark) vocals on "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" better than Bruce Springsteen's. And I think Rory (Damian McGinty) did a great job with "Blue Christmas", too!
2011-12-14
7. Do You Hear What I Hear? - Glee Project kids rocking it is what I hear. @Cole Draft and @cb Do You Hear What I Hear is sung by Glee Project kids Lindsay Pearce(she played Harmony on Glee) and Alex Newell(he hasn't been on the show yet). I knew they would be awesome. And Damian(Rory) was amazing in Blue Christmas too. As far as I'm concerned, get Blue Christmas, Do You Hear What I Hear, and Santa Baby and you will have all the truly exceptional songs on this album. The others are good but just good.

1. Worth the entire album for "Baby it's Cold Outside". - I wasn't sure why I had to get the entire album for "baby it's cold", but I'm glad I did. Martina has given us the ultimate Christmas album. Fantastic voice, with a timeless collection of recordings, like her incredible version of "O Holy Night". And she and Dean Martin now have THE DEFINITIVE version of "Baby it's Cold Outside", I love it! A classic album for years to come.
2012-12-23
2. Martina's White Christmas - pretty but..... - There are a couple things I really like about this album. First song selection. Some of my favorites, and I especially like that Martina isn't afraid to mix the secular (The Chrismas Song, Silver Bells etc) with the Sacred. Let's face it, Martina has the most pure, techmicaly perfect voice in Country music, if not all of Pop music. She is an awesome singer. However, here's where the album fall short for me. She doesn't take a lot of risks on this album. In fact it's so syruppy sweet it starts to sound like a Double Mint gum or State Farm jingle after a while. And the fact that this album was recorded years ago, it's starting to sound a little dated, both in the arrangements and recording techniques. But not in a good or "classic" way, just in a dated kind of way. I'd love to hear her do an updated Christmas album. HIghlights on the album are: "Have Yourself" and "I'll Be Home". Lowlights are "Hark! The Hearald" with it's Renaissance Fair/Medivial Times arrangement, it's just plain out of place and hokey on this album. My advice is to cherry pick the songs and combine this in a play list with other great Christmas Songs.

3. Wonderful Traditional/pop album!!! - This album is great! All the songs are wonderfully entertaining - Martina delivers Christmas in a beautifully traditional way. Got this album last year; it's my fav so far. I'm not into country, but when I first listened to these songs, I became a Martina fan! Get this album, you won't regret it!
2010-12-23
4. Martina is THE BEST female vocalist in country music EVER - No one can sing songs like she can. Christmas songs move me the most when they're sung by her. O Holy Night moved me so much that I tried to sing it in our school's winter concert, but another way-less-than-perfect girl got it instead. Yes, it made me upset, but I definitely learned from it: not everyone can sing this song. Only the best (Martina for example) can make it move a person like she does. Martina McBride, you are blessed beyond belief. Sing your heart out forever and ever, and I will listen forever and ever!
2010-12-11
5. great album but.... grrrrr itunes - I had bought the Martina first White Christmas album. When I joined itunes, I added the songs not on the first album except it will not let me get the dean martin duet unless I buy the whole album. well I did buy all the other songs when I bought it first in the stores, and I paid another . to d/l the songs not on my studio version.( itunes person If you check my library you will see I uploaded the album and d/l the rest of the somgs) But without spending . for that one song and letting them duplicate the songs I have. I do not get that song. My only hope is if they put it on another various artist or free d/l next christmas, it is just frustrating. the album it self is great though she has an incredible voice.
2010-01-03
6. Timeless Christmas Collection - This is a timeless collection of Christmas favorites, beautifully sung by Martina with her amazing voice. Although Martina typically sings country music, these songs are not sung in a "country" manner. Instead, she sings each of these songs in a classic way (probably like she grew up hearing and singing them). I believe this is an album that will stand the test of time -- it will sound as good in years as it does today. If you are looking for a Christmas album that you will play again and again, buy this one!

1. Their best album. - TSO's debut album, Christmas Eve and Other Stories, is probably their most accessible and a good first purchase if you've never heard of this band outside of their remake of Carol of the Bells (actually titled Christmas Eve/Sarajevo /), but devout TSO fans like me will tell you that The Lost Christmas Eve right here is their best Christmas album. I was fortunate enough to see them live for the first time last year, and all I can say is WOW. I'm so glad that this band will continue to tour live even after the death of mastermind/guitarist Paul O'Neill. RIP.
2017-11-05
2. Fantastic! - Bought this album last year before seeing them perform it in concert. Different twist to the Christmas season than your typical Christmas carols. It's a great album with awesome sounds but the music cannot be done justice without seeing the live show. The concert experience will blow you away and you'll have a lot more respect and appreciation for the musicians and the talent they have. But more fun to be familiar with the music before you go. Looking forward to what they come out with next!

3. Christmas Cannon Rock - Downloaded song not realizing it was mis-labeled on the on-line station I listen to. Very disappointed in recording...this is not my "style" of Music (especially Christmas) and found the Trans-Siberian Orchestra "sound" very irritating...like fingernails on a chalkboard. Guess free-style acoustic guitar is just not my thing.
2012-12-20
4. Absolutely Amazing!!! - I just got to see them live and words cannot describe how amazing they are. If you are tired of hearing the same Christmas songs over and over again, then please check TSO out. They take famaliar songs and rock them up. Faith Noel for example. Another thing is they make up their own songs too. So its not all "the same stuff."
2012-12-04
5. Music that is purely musical - Ironic title, I know. Anyway, do you know how sometimes "o holy night" and "jingle bells" get kind of boring after a while? I find that even though my family still plays these classics, I get to get a break from them when we listen to TSO. These musicians are talented and creative, and give your favorite classics (o holy night, jingle bells, and many more) a rock vibe. While than may sound uninteresting and wrong, they do it in a way that accents what the classics really mean while interesting some of the younger, teenage crowd. They're fun, fresh, and a break from our (well respected) classics. Overall, give them a try. And you may, like me and many other people, still be listening to the instrumentals (using them as lullabies or comic relief) in June.

6. Go Tso! - I have listened to Tso for about years less or more. They make these songs come alive and even though I have never seen a concert of theirs this cd is the best Christmas music in the world I have ever listened to! My cousin was the who got me into their songs and I don't regret it! Even though I have not brought any other of their music I would love to exactly get into their music! I love them and if you have only listened to their other songs don't forget these ones!

7. Awesome - This so stupid awful! ... Juss kidding this of the best they hav made! My favorite songs on this album is wizards in winter and Christmas canon rock :) I LLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEE
TSO they all I listen on my iPod and I have a lot other tso songs tso sooo awesome that I have alot other artists song that I barely listen :)
2010-06-29
8. Excellent Album - This is a great CD. It is recorded well. There is no or very little noise on loud high notes. Bass is well defined. Vocals have presence. Seeing TSO's live performance is drop-jaw amazing. I saw them during their tour - nearly hours non-stop music. They played some songs on this CD. Christmas Canon Rock is memorable because I could feel the keyboard low notes. This effect is difficult to obtain with the CD, but it's possible if you use a big amp with big drivers. Even so, the CD is enjoyable to listen to and it tells a warm-fuzzy Christmas story. This CD has a high goose-bump factor - especially if you've seen TSO live.
2010-01-19
9. This band is truly jaw dropping - Notice how only one person actually disliked TSO on this review board while dozens went on and on about how spectacular this band is. I saw them play a couple weeks ago and it was by far the highlight of my christmas season. TSO belts it out with Siberian Sleighride and Christmas Jam. Please check this band out. They deserve so much more credibility.

10. Stunning! - I saw these guys live for the first time a year ago and I had to buy an album. I bought this one because of it's popularity with the other customers, and let me tell you, that was by far the best choice cd I've ever bought! They just amaze me with their harmonics the lights the drama....I love it all!!! So much fun to listen to. My favorites are Christmas Dreams, Siberian Sleigh Ride and What Child is this for the amazing shift in song at the very end. If you want a brief escape from the cheery Christmas songs, pick up this album. Back to a reason is probably the darkest song on there and completely un-christmas sounding but it's so good!!!!!
2009-11-28
11. Awesome! - I love the music that these guys make! I do know people who don't like them because they do covers a lot, but I can't get enough of the style. Not good for people who like straight classical, as voiced by earlier referenced and first reviewer Kyle, but somehow good for people who like straight rock and modern Christmas carols. By the way, I am in sync with the people who mentioned Webber. I thought it was Webber when I first heard it.

1. You cannot play this album only once - It doesn't have to be Christmas to play this album, but Christmas is definitely what you get when you do. The first track, "And Winter Came", is achingly beautiful, it sets the stage for the rest of the album which is there to help you recover. Imagine a painful transition in your life, the transcendent relief that follows, the sadness of knowing you've turned a page you'll never see again, then add a : timestamp and this is track . I'm years late in writing this review, but it's something I had to do.

2. Absolutely beautiful. - The good Lord blessed us with giving Enya to us. Her songs are so peaceful and joyful. She's a tireless performer. I have seen her live four times once in Ireland. Even though I don't speak or understand Gallic she has a way of making that beautiful voice penetrate to your very soul. A true gift from our Lord God Bless you Enya.
2015-05-03
3. Can't believe I didn't discover this until now - After listening to "And Winter Came" I found I haven't enjoyed Enya's music this much since "Watermark" and "Shepherd Moons". It has a great mix of upbeat and more soulful sound. Even though this is a Christmas album, it doesn't come across that way. Only two songs are traditional; the others are very unique and appropriate for the season. This has become an instant favorite for me.

4. Dale Norrington - Really lousy sound with a relatively new iMac and or year old Creature Speakers …. Bass and mid range are distorted and very difficult to listen to … I wish I had not purchased this album … I have been listening to other recently purchased music on the same system without such distortions … I wonder whether it is simply a bad digital reproduction … if that is possible …

5. new to me - I wasn't aware of this album until iTunes had it on sale recently.
What a delightful find. Not just about Christmas, but the winter season.
I particularly like the upbeat White is in the Winter Night. One Toy Soldier also had me smiling.
Enya's voice is beautiful as always. Oiche Chiuin is a lovely conclusion to the album.
2011-12-05
6. Enya releases yet another fabulous album! - Enya has released another fabulous album. While I would say this passes for a non Holiday album it does capture the spirit of the cold winter months. The album itself is not cold but mostly mixed with upbeat and mellow Enya greatness. I don't think there is something that Enya has released that I do not like and this album is no different!
2010-09-05
7. Wonderful - And Winter Came isn't a holiday album to me, and obviously it wasn't to Enya either. Her wonderful approach to bringing the full spectrum of the winter season is brilliantly done here, from the first strains of the title track, to the last breath of her stirring stacked vocals on "Oìe Chùin", Enya paints a picture of the beauty of not just Christmas, but als of the winter season.
2010-02-12
8. Melodies with a Perfect Winter Theme - This CD is absolutely wonderful in every single way for the holidays, wintertime, and any time you're in a wintery mood C: Winter being my most favorite season of all, listening to And Winter Came is perfect for me. And I grew up with Enya, so its even more perfect I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us!
2009-11-29
9. As Always, She Rocks! - Enya does it every time with each successive new album produced. Very ethereal, very deep. I use her music for meditation, leaving me relaxed that no other alternative means can accomplish. Her music takes me to the rocky crags of the cliffs off the Irish coast, then to the heather-filled knolls. Truly not to be missed.
2009-04-08
10. It's Enya, that's about it. - Enya creates wonderful, soothing music...always. Though it is beautiful, it's ALWAYS the same exact album. I wish she would experiment a little more with her music. She is a unique artist and I believe she has potential to create something even more unique than the same thing for the past years.
2009-02-03
11. Another Quirky Hit for Enya. - I grew up on Enya. At three years old my most often spoken words were "Track !" (Orinoco Flow). There are so few real smash hits these days with recycled christmas songs by every singer alive in winter, but "And Winter Came" is a stand out. She brings her soothing touch to the tracks and yet here and there you're hit with a quirky Enya twist. "My! My! Time Flies" and "One Toy Soldier" are creative, fun, and a little bit out there. Enjoy!
2009-01-12
12. Enya's Holiday Gift - Enya has done it again by giving us an album full of winter themed songs. Some people are saying that she needs to change her style, but I disagree. This is what she does best, and it comes forth in "And Winter Came." Just try not to get in a happy singing mood after listening to "White Is In the Winter Night." It's virtually impossible. "Journey of the Angels" and "The Spirit of Christmas Past" are also two standout songs on the album. Overall, a fantastic entry to the Enya collection. One not to be missed and listened to all year long (not just the winter months).
2008-12-28
13. Enya did it again....The best holiday music this season! - She has hit a home run with this one. Even though it's holiday music you can definitely hear some new sounds like Trains and Winter Rains, Dreams Are More Precious and My My Time Flies(a new way to hear her music...she uses an electric guitar!!!). I smile anytime I hear her music and this holiday season I've been grinning non stop. Best x-mas present I've had this year!!
2008-12-23
14. Silent Irish Night - Selfishly, I have enjoyed her Christmas EP (only released in Europe) since - Oiche Chiuin should've been shared with the USA long, long ago. I downloaded it into my iTunes from CD, but now everyone can enjoy Enya's Silent Night for themselves. It's about time! Purchase this song while you still have a chance!
2008-12-22
15. THE MOST AMAZING AND CAPTIVATING ALBUM OF THE SEASON - How beautiful is it to know that there is still some musical talent in the world. I have to give my regards to her, and her engineers. I have to say though, I would appriciate a little less II V I please. Keep it in the minor key so we have have more bII. But, other than that great job!!!!

1. Absolutely Love this Album - I absolutely love this album, this rendition of How Great Thou Art is one if not the best version of the song I have ever heard. This rendition of How Great Thou Art literally gives me chills. Pentatonix is such a great group. Each member of the group brings a different and unique voice. I highly recommend them

2. Best Christmas album EVER!!! - ,,,, STARS Pentatonix has SLAYED again! I have never been so star-struck by any album, ever! They are INCREDIBLE and this may be their best album yet. Allow me to introduce the members of PTX; Kevin , Scott , Kiristin , and Mitch . Kevin's beat-boxing is so smooth and clean, plus his range is astonishing . Scott's voice can only be described as incredible. Kiristin's voice is amazingly beautiful. Mitch's voice will make you cry it's so beautiful. I highly recommend this to everyone. If you like Pentatonix or like Christmas, this is the perfect Christmas album. Even if you hate Pentatonix (I'm not sure if that is even possible) or don't know who they are (again, not sure if that's possible) or don't celebrate Christmas you should still buy this album! It will be the best purchase you will ever make on iTunes (except for the bible).
I LOVE PENTATONIX

1. Christmas Angel - Just pulled this album out to listen to while putting up the Christmas tree and it brought me right back to Christmas right after my now year old was born. It was an emotional time for many reasons but when I would put this album on and lay my newborn baby on my chest, the rest of the world would melt away. Her voice, that of an angel, would serenade us while I laid there listening to his every breath. Thank you Sarah for a timeless classic.
2016-11-29
2. Sigh. It's perfect. - Possibly my favorite Christmas album ever. Sarah's interpretations of old favorites are extraordinary, but her original songs are the best part. In "Winter Song" and "Song for a Winter's Night," she manages to combine wonder and beauty with sorrow and longing. It's an exquisite marriage.
2014-01-06
3. Gorgeous! Thank you Sarah McLachlan. - I grew up with the same Christmas songs played over and over by my mother to the point where I can't stand some of them anymore. This album is such a refreshing change! Thank you, thank you Sarah McLachlan, for making Christmas songs that are so wonderful to hear. What makes this album really wonderful is McLachlan's gorgeous voice combined with unique and beautiful instrumental compositions. She has also chosen some little played Christmas songs that are nonetheless great.
2013-12-07
4. Peaceful, but too somber - This is a very peaceful collection. That was the most salient word that I was left with after my first listen through. An image of a quiet and snowy field outside a winter's window is conjured.
On the downside, it is that peacefulness that makes it a drag on the yule tide feeling. It's teeters more on the depressed side than the peaceful at times. It's not lively enough and seems more for someone to drink alone to during the holidays rather than gear up for the season.
Song by song, it's a mixed bag. Some songs are great. She sings beautifully throughout. Her version of Silent Night might be one of the best versions ever. On the other hand, her song The First Noel/Mary Mary is probably the very worst christmas song I've ever heard. It sounds like she tried to make a Christmas song for The Lion King. Terrible and anything but Christmasy.
After a while though, as is always the case for me with her, you just get too much of her voice. One can O.D. on her voice after about songs in a row.
2013-03-07
5. No wonder suicide rates increase at Christmas time... - I never knew you could be depressed by Christmas music. But McLachlan did it! She made the most depressing and downtrodden Christmas album EVER! Horrible music! I wonder how anyone can actually appreciate life while listening to these whiny, half-drunk versions of such great songs! YOU RUINED CHRISTMAS SARAH!!
2011-11-30
6. Fantastic - This is one of a select FEW entire albums I can listen to through the Christmas and winter seasons. It does not get tiresome; the songs are mellow and thoughtful. Very nice also for background music at a dinner party or for opening gifts. I could listen to "River" all year long. The whole album has maintained "favorite" status for several years now! A definite good buy!
2010-11-24
7. Too Moody - The whole tone of this album is, well, sad. It's Christmas, for Heaven's sake. I want to hear songs that put me in the Christmas mood. These songs are almost depressing. It reminds me of all the reasons I might dread the holidays, and I don't need any help with that. Save the moody melencholy tone for the rest of the year.
2010-11-20
8. WHO DOES ITUNES HAVE REVIEWING THIS RECORDING?????? - I am truly shocked by the itunes review of Sarah McLachian's WIntersong Album. What ARE they smoking? She is so freakin' musical ... her renditions of songs heretofore heard millions of times the same monontonous way are so brilliant and innovative in their musical integrity and balance .. As Bing's versions of certain Christmas Songs have survived the test of time and remain classics unable to replicated ... so will it be for Wintersong. A truly masterful Album.
2009-12-16
9. my most favourite Christmas album evar!!!!!!!! - omg it's just gorgeously haunting!! it takes you away from all the christmas bustle and makes everything disappear and you're just left with winter and the music! it's so magical! Mary Mary/the first Noel gives me goosebumps as I shiver at it's haunting melodies. it's my lost favourite track on the cd. Sarah has such a gift! this is the most priceless album ever!
2009-12-08
10. Beauty is more burnished every year - I am so glad I bought this record...it's on heavy rotation in my house during the holiday season. I never cease telling people about how wonderful it is. It is a bit "darker" than other Christmas records, but as you grow older, hopefully you realize that the holidays are not just about stuffing your face and unwrapping presents, but also reflection, which is squarely where this music puts me. This is impeccable, and a classic just five years on from its release.
2009-11-08
11. A Year-Round purchase. - While this album has a great number of wonderfull christmas songs on it, the album can be listened to year round due to its haunting composition. At the moment, it qualifies for my favorite album of all time. The most striking thing about this music is how it can appeal to people far out of its "target range". Sure, teenage pop might sound poor to your ears, but it sells well in its target range. This album, however, reaches out to everyone, no matter their personality. I am about as far away from the target range as possible, (an athiest who enjoys techno music) yet I am shocked each time I hear River or any other song on the album.
2009-09-18
12. Heartbreakingly Beautiful Album - This is a must-have Christmas Album. I can't fully describe the feeling of this whole recording but I recommend listening to it for the first time alone at night in front of the fireplace and the lighted Christmas tree. I can't imagine anyone not being touched by Sarah's heartfelt, God-given beautiful voice that she lends to these new & classic tunes. Even the Christmas Hymns sound as if it's the first time you've ever heard them when she does "her thing" with them.
2008-12-22
13. I got chills listening to this - and it's warm outside! - Simply amazing. Sarah never fails to deliver. I only own one of her albums, but after sampling these songs, I think I'll add this one to my collection. Nothing is over done and nothing is hidden through massive amounts of studio editing like some artists. This is just beautiful. Yeah, I'm getting this. It's a must-have.
2008-12-19
14. I wouldn't bother to write a review unless it was amazing! - There is an awesome collection of songs on this CD that are so lyrical and touching. Sarahs vocals are, of course, amazing! The words to the songs aren't just shallow sentimental clap-trap. "River" is my favorite. This CD will definitely become part of your Christmas faves collection.
2008-12-01
15. Integrity! - Integrity means "fullness of parts." I so appreciate a Christmas album which truly celebrates the reason for this particular season... Christ. The original word means Christ's Mass. Many of the songs that were deemed as "dark" I would say are contemplative and tender. They bring sweet tears to my eyes and rest to my soul. I also like the human "memory songs" like I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS becauuse they touch on our shared cultural experience as well. It is one of my favorite Christmas albums of all time and should go down as a classic with longevity. Merry Christmas!

1. Smooth and Silky Holiday Treats - Broadway and the kids have had their treats for years, but now it's time for a new adult audience. Enjoy the holiday songs of yesteryear for what they are, wonderful classics, but for quality of voice, performance and recording, Idina (and Michael) blow them away. These recordings are stunning, and I believe that they will stand the test of time in consideration of "classic" status. Do yourself a favor and put this album in your library.
2017-12-12
2. Not my favorite - It's interesting... I consider Idina Menzel to be one of the great voices of our time and was expecting perhaps too much from her Christmas CD. Purchased this CD last year and found it to be lacking. Can't quite put my finger on it, but there is something just 'off' with this one. And I'm a Christmas music junkie. Start listening at Thanksgiving and don't quit till Christmas. Almost every time one of her tracks pops up in my Itunes shuffle and end up advancing to the next song.
2015-12-14
3. Changed lyrics - I fell in love with the Baby It's Cold Outside music video with Michael Buble. I loved everything about it, including the lyric changes. So I bought it. While listening in the car, I quickly realized that they had done two versions of the song and that the cute, innocent lyrics were only for the music video. That was the only reason I had bought it. There are enough covers of the song, so it was nice to hear something different. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed.

4. DONT LISTEN TO THE FREAKING HATERS!!!!!! - Why did you apologise for having let it go everywhere?!!!!!! DONT LISTEN TO THE FREAKING HATERS!!!!!!! THEY HAVE NO LIFE ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!! PLAY LET IT GO AS MUCH AS YOU WANT!!!!!! FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE LET IT GO!!!!!!! I means what are the haters gonna go when frozen comes out?!!!!! MORONS!!!!!!!!!

5. Silent Night review - Hi. Haven't purchased the whole album, only Silent Night. I agree with another reviewer that the humility is missing from this song. Idina is LOUD and grating on this song, and her arrangement moves this song from short and sweet to overlong and repetitious. It just seemed to me that her song glorifies HER not the Savior.
2014-12-09
6. Put's Me in the Holiday Spirit! - Watching Idina's online virtual Yule Log and listening to her sing her heart out. I love the twists and how she personalizes each song. Saw her at the NYTW in Rent. I remember her walking down the street-noone knew who she was; she would start singing and heads would turn in NYC. Been hooked on her voice and singing ever since. Wonderful holiday tunes!

7. Too much. - I am a big fan of Idina Menzel. However, this album is over the top, and not in a good way. It sounds like she is over-singing. I had hoped for some nice background Christmas music. This is too brassy and grating. I would have liked for her to hold back a bit, show more control. I also found the laughing and side talking during a few of the songs to be annoying.
2014-12-03
8. Never ever ever ever! - The first time I watched Frozen I thought it was a child singing the song! I had no idea what movie I was going to see as I was at a friends house last Christmas and hadn't even heard of this movie. Then I can't remember what awards show it was I realized she was an adult, and that no matter what she sings she sounds like a child! There is no natural ease to her voice! She stifles her own sound and it grates on my last nerve. If she would just learn the mechanics of performing maybe it wouldn't be so bad. Open your mouth woman and quite stretching your e's sideways! You one look awful and two it sounds horrific! Granted this is simply my personal opinion. Music is wonderful in the fact that to each ear the beauty in the songs are different.

1. What is wrong with you?! - This is great! Harry is just amazing!! I just do not understand the idiocies of the iTunes customer population to even give this one star less than !! Kate's song is so cute and Harry's Connick-fying of each classic song makes me enjoy Christmas music like it's . Thank you Harry.

2. Disappointed - I bought Harry Connick's last Christmas Album and it is one of my favorites. This time around he is banking on the assumption of his previous listeners that this would be good, which is why I bought it. Sadly I want my money back! That's not gonna happen of course, but I can warn you. He tries so hard making each song "his own" that he ruins the songs. And the originals he has written are more annoying than anything. The timing is horrible in so much of the album. It would have been loads better if he would have just sang it normal. No such luck. Sorry Harry, but I want a refund.

3. Good album - I'm a big Harry Connick Jr fan. I really like most of the tracks. However, there is one track, Winter Wonderland, where his daughter does a psuedo duet with him. I hate to say this but she sounds like Darla from Our Gang. She doesn't sound bad but I keep picturing Darla when I hear her voice.

4. An Unexpected Disappointment - I have really enjoyed Harry Connick Jr.'s previous Christmas albums (as well as some of his other work), so I was shocked when I listened through this the first time and found myself wanting to turn it off. Mostly, it sounds like his contract called for another Christmas CD and he didn't really get around to putting anything together until the last minute. Unlike "Harry for the Holidays" (which was stellar), most of Connick Jr.'s newly-penned tunes don't flow or appeal to the ears. The melodies and the lyrics feel forced, making the music difficult to listen to. If you really want to spend some money on this, there are only four tracks to purchase: , , , and . They're very good tracks with the band in full swing. But don't waste your money on the whole disc. You'll just be disappointed.

5. Not a good addition to your classic "Christmas Music" collection - I love Harry Connic, Jr. but I don't love this album. This album adds too much interpretation to the classic Christmas songs I love. Unfortunately the artitstry gets in the way of my ability to to sit back and enjoy the songs. I find myself saying over and over, "Harry, what have you done to this Christmas music." I think his first Christmas albus is great but recommend you pass on this one.

6. Great Christmas Album! - I'm a big fan of the traditional versions of Christmas songs, so it's hard to please me with re-dos. However, Harry Connick, Jr. outdid himself with the album. The classics are true to form, but with a pleasant jazzy twist. His original Christmas songs are fantastic too! I had started listening to the album by skipping to the songs I was familiar with - now I play the album the whole way through. I like this album the best out of all of Harry's Christmas albums, but I know that's personal taste. I don't think many will be disappointed. Although this album is new, it boasts classic Christmas music that will make you feel nostalgic and feel like Connick's versions have been around forever! Enjoy!

7. Brilliant - I love how it is a mix of both instrumental and songs. I have always loved his voice but now he has other songs teamed up with his daughter and other performers for a strong combination that makes you feel good and bestows christmas cheer! His version of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies and Auld Lang Syne is pure genius! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!

8. Harry Connick does it again! - Harry Connick has given us the gift of another great Christmas CD!! I am partial to Harry Connick because we are both from New Orleans but he could be from Mars and I would still LOVE this CD as much as I love his other Christmas CD's. This album gives us the added treat of a duet with his daughter who is quite a little singer. This is an album that I would advise anyone to get to complete their Christmas collection!

9. A have to have happy holiday by Harry.... - When everyone and their cousin's uncle seems to be making a holiday CD, Harry Connick, Jr. does it best with style and polish. The jazz, the vocals, the family and friends singing, the old faves and some new songs make for a cozy spark in your holiday cheer. There is something on his compilation for older to younger. I think Scrooge would even tap a toe to some of the zip holiday beats... Love it!

10. Harry makes Christmas Merry!! - I love this album. Turn on the fireplace, get a huge mug of hot coca and settle in for a treat. Harry brings back those memories from Christmas' of your youth. Play this while opening presents on Christmas morning to create memories for the next generation. I know what will be playing as the children run down the stairs to see if Santa has come at my house this year.
2008-11-26
11. Harry Connick Jr. Comes Through Again - My wife and I watched PS I love you and both said, "I love Harry Connick Jr.'s voice." Then we both wondered if he had a recent Christmas album. And what do you know? He just released one and it is GREAT. We love the mix of new and old and fresh and different. There's enough for us old timers to remember Christmas while still keeping it contemporary. If you purchase this album, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Harry!!
2008-11-12
12. All I Can Say Is WOW! Kim Burrell and Harry! - What do you get when you mix one of today's finest Musicians and one of Gospel's most consummate singers? AMAZING! Let there be Peace on Earth, OMG! When I heard the snippet I had to buy this one. Thanks Harry for exposing to the world this wonderful and amazingly blessed gift that is Kim Burrell! Harry does it time and time again and this cd falls right in line with all the other hits! You won't stop playing this around Christmas!
2008-11-07
13. Not as excellent as previous two Christmas albums, but still worth the purchase - As always, I'm annoyed by the negative reviews from people who obviously didn't buy and listen to the entire album, but only listened to the second samples and have made a snap judgement based on that alone. This is a good Christmas album and a good Harry album. I haven't enjoyed What a Night as much as the previous two albums, but this is still the best Christmas album I've purchased since Harry for the Holidays. The three gems of the album are "Santariffic, We Three Kings, and his duet with his daughter on "Winter Wonderland."
2008-11-07
14. Cheery, Bright and an Instant Classic - For the past years Christmas feels classic again, like it did when I was a kid, and it does all over again. His last Christmas album was in heavy rotation, and now we have a new Gift! This is quite "new" sounding but the style and the classic jazzy, big band sound with Harry's crooning makes it sound authentic and warms you right up. Harry is the new Bing, but not so new that it lacks reference. This is simply what Christmas should sound like today, and it delivers, just like Santa!
2008-11-05
15. Tastefully done - The great thing about Connick's Christmas albums is the fact that the arrangements are not the same old retreads that one hears from other contemporary holiday recordings. Just as with his previous releases, Connick once again provides wonderful, unique interpretations of the traditional holiday fare. However, it's the new originals that ultimately get better with time. The best of this years holiday offerings.

1. One of my most played Christmas albums - Ok, I'm not a big fan of classical music myself, but I do have to admit, Josh has a pretty good voice! The songs I most like from this album are Little Drummer Boy, I'll Be Home For Christmas, Angels We Have Heard On High, What Child Is This, and The First Noël with Faith Hill. So pretty much, I have downloaded the whole album, which I barley do. Keep it up Josh!

2. Josh Groban's Christmas Album is Brilliant! Beautiful! Fantastic.... - I love Josh Groban's voice. No one in my family does, but me. I will always be a fan. I am and I don't care how old I am on being a Grobanite. This album is amazing and I will be listening to it all month long! Thank you Josh for making my season holidays a bit brighter, even though my whole family dislikes it.

1. The Heartache Can Wait - For me, this song combines all the mixed emotions that can sometimes come with the holiday season when the days are short, dark and cold, but filled with music and sparkling lights. While there's always the hope of a magical, spiritual, and joyous winter and Christmas, all adults know that some years things just don't work out that way. The Heartache Can Wait captures the feeling of the holiday season and a little winter sadness at the same time, which makes it a special and honest song in my book.

2. Moments of absolute brilliance - This compilation is an interesting blend of the ok all the way up to the truly perfect. There are no truly bad songs on here. Most of the tunes are just pleasant background holiday fare. There are few individual voices on here. But when there is a track with a stand out voice, the result is a new standard christmas song. Winter Song and Mistletoe are arrestingly perfect and almost as amazing as Bing's White Christmas or Nat's Christmas song. Heartache Can Wait is just one tier below that. Truly a great song. Catherine Feeny's version of Christmas Song is one of the better covers of the song i've heard. Most don't do the song justice, but this one does. There are a few weak songs like Meiko's song. Just isnt Christmasy. Overall, though, one of the best compilation Christmas albums of all time.
2013-01-20
3. Winter Songs - I thought this album was nice. I wish they included Regina Spektor's "December" on the album. Then the album would have been amazing. Fiona Apple's song was playful and fun. I thought Katy Perry's version of White Christmas was interesting. I thought her voice sounded so much better than in her other songs. She brought out a nice rasp and sexuality in her voice but I don't think its appropriate for this song. I don't really like it but I don't think its that bad either. I think she should sing like that in more of her songs.
2012-11-23
4. Winter Song - Winter Song by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson is excellent. That was the only song I got. I searched for Sara Bareilles and saw the song so I bought it but of course it wouldnt let me comment for some reason on the song so i had to comment on the album but GET WINTER SONG!!!! I love both singers and this song is great!:)
2012-03-30
5. Frosty by Fiona - An enchanting and lilting rendition of a song whose rehash will surely become an all time holiday favorite. Fiona sounds like she is in your room and her accompanist hammers along in perfect accord with the voice. The story is brought alive in the song and has that vitality that Gene Kelley's "Singin' in the Rain" presents to you. You might find that yourself whistling in unison with all the quirky intonation Fiona gives it and remembering it for hours afterwards. Stars, buy it!

6. Disappointed - I purchased Winter Songs based on the list of singers and the iTunes review. I should have previewed the songs instead. I really don't like any of them. The arrangements and stylization of the songs range from being sarcastically condescending to downright depressing, neither of which I want from a Christmas album. There's no warmth or holiday cheer or spiritual depth to this album at all. I would not recommend it.
2011-12-03
7. Winter is not the same as Christmas... - Hearing people say that these songs are not prepare emotionaly for the holidays is making me hate stupid people even more. Sure, the holidays are a joyous time of year, BUT winter, as all of its architypes suggest, is a sad, cold, dark, depressing time of year. These songs have winter written all throughout the lyrics.
2011-06-27
8. Hotel Cafe - I love it! Brandi Carlile's is my favorite, along with 'Winter Song,' 'All my bells are ringing,' 'Sleigh Ride,' and 'Mistletoe.' People are making such a big fuss over Katy Perry being on this album, but she's not that bad! It's a soft and sweet album, with a few tracks to upbeat the Christmas season. out of stars!
2010-12-16
9. Some Good, Some Bad... the usual, right? - So... Christmas albums are already a sort of kitschy area of music. It's something that well-established bands do when they feel comfortable enough, but not comfortable enough to write new music. It's also something beloved of child artists (as puppets of corporate sponsors who believe this will promote a cute, innocent image). This is neither of the two -- a collection of various artists performing both traditional and contemporary winter (Let's be PC here, we can't say "Christmas") melodies. The low points are, as everyone before me has pointed out, Katy Perry's floptastic "White Christmas." Some, like "All My Bells are Ringing," "Mistletoe," and "Silver Bells" seem washed out and overproduced... The high points are the beautifully stark "Winter Song," the amazing "Auld Lang Syne" (although I may just be a huge fan of the song), and my personal favorite, the all-over winner "Maybe Next Year" by Meiko.
2010-10-29
10. Rawr - I don't want to buy the whole album...but in order to get KT Tunstall's Sleigh Ride (which is driving me nuts because it is so amazing and catchy) I have to buy the album....and I don't want to pay to listen to Katy Perry groan "White Christmas" for three minutes. The other songs sound mediocre to good, but I'm still debating whether or not to just get it. Alice Smith's Silver Bells sounds a little painful for me too :(
2010-10-14
11. hm. - i would've given this five stars if they hadn't included katy perry's take on white christmas. it was awful im sorry to say. the highlight of the entire album would have to be winter song or all my bells are ringing. but mistletoe, the heartache can wait, and maybe next year are done amazingly as well. i listen to winter song year round and it brings tears to my eyes each time. i wish i could give this album five stars. however this is the best holiday album out there, i suggest you buy it whether its just for the holidays or all year. you can listen to this album all the time, no matter the time of year (: .

12. great, but katy perry is not at her best here - sad thing that she didn't do so well on 'white christmas'. it's a soulful sort of song, but it was never meant to be forceful and she seems to really be forcing it. shame.i can see her doing a song like 'last christmas' or 'what child is this?'--something with a bit more gusto that's suited to her style. this was just the wrong choice for her.
anyways, other than that, no complaints. 'sleigh ride' by KT tunstall is loads of fun, and 'winter song' is really lovely. 'silent night' is absolutely arresting. if you buy nothing else, please buy that one song. 'winter song' and 'silent night' are my two favorites, but most everything is lovely.
merry christmas/happy holidays/happy winter solstice/peace on earth to you, thanks for reading my review :)

13. The Hotel Cafe Presents Winter Songs - I listened to the preview of some of the songs but in the end I think I bought for Colbie Caillat's song. I really enjoy her song, "Mistletoe" but the rest of the songs I could do without- I was a bit bummed with it actually. That is my two cents worth :) Cheers- and happy holidays.

1. A song lost in time. - I remember this [the Peace on Earth duet with David Bowie] as being one of the last things Bing sang and I have always treasured it. Now that Ziggy has gone on as well this brings a layered dimension to me. Ive always enjoyed the crooners of old, and their music almost inseparable to the holidays. David Bowie was my younger years almost as much as Bing, Cole, Sinatra and Armstrong were my childhood. I would have enjoyed this album without Peace on Earth but with it added in I’ll happily buy the album. I can only hope those two are up there singing it up, and having that Peace they wished for us here on Earth.

2. Stealing my music - Hey iTunes class act baby class act. So for those of you who don't know, I bought peace on earth way back when it was for sale individually. However folks they realized they would make more cash if they made it album only! So they took my song away and say "yo jack you want this song you gotta pay for the whole album! Sorry man that's the way it works!" I strongly advise not buying this guys they are gonna take it back and make you buy it again when there's more cash to be made.

1. Refreshing upbeat Holiday Album - I’ve been a CeeLo fan since his Goodie Mob days. I loved him then and his Holiday Album is off the chain! It’s worth it! The Mr. Grinch is illustrative musical and fun. I also love his Run Rudolph Run rendition. Oh, All I need is Love is positive and reassuring for those who struggle during the Holiday season.

2. CLG is the bomb - With all the crazy outfits and hair that he wears on The Voice, it's easy to forget what an AMAZING vocal talent CeeLo is. This album reminded me why I fell in love with this incredible artist in the first place. His version of "This Christmas" rivals the Donny Hathaway original!! This is a CLASSIC album and I'm so glad he did it!

3. Cee Lo's best cd by far - I didn't know anything about Mr.Cee Lo Green until I started watching the voice and after watching him on the show my family and myself became fans. We were excited to see that he made a Xmas cd and have fallen in love with it. If you want a great cd to add to your Xmas collection I would advise buying the whole cd. It's great to get you motivated to cook your course meal for the holidays and the family gets to enjoy and dance around the tree. Thank you Cee Lo for the wonderful memories my family and myself will have of great music over the holidays.

1. A Surprising Christmas Classic - I would never think that an N Sync Christmas album would be any good, but it's surprisingly one of my favorites I play on heavy rotation year after year. They are effervescent, the original tunes are a nice change of pace, and I like that all five guys are featured. Give it a shot--you may be pleasantly surprised.
2014-11-29
2. EVERYTHING - This is one of the greatest Christmas albums of all time. I don't understand how it isn't more popular! It's difficult to make new Christmas songs, but "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" and "Kiss Me at Midnight" are so refreshing. Also, not to be skipped is their riveting rendition of "O Holy Night." It's like a little angel with a bleach blonde-tipped fro and his friends are sitting on your shoulder singing into your ear. NSYNC for the win, y'all It's September and "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" just came on my shuffle, but I didn't even skip it BECAUSE IT'S THAT GOOD.
2014-09-06
3. Best Modern Christmas Album - I love the old school Christmas songs (Burl Ives, anyone) and of course good ol' Charlie Brown. But the best modern Christmas CD, hands down, is this one. I may play it year round (though you won't hear me say that in person) and my four year old constantly asks for the song by "those boys." Come on back, 'Nsync!
2013-08-23
4. Good voices, no real yule tide feeling - These guys have great voices. They just package it in crap and empty pop noise. On most songs, you just don't feel any emotion. Most are just flat and empty pop pre-packaged functions of profitibility. Many songs seem phoned in. Their vocals are actually good, though, when they drop all the shallow pretense. For instance, Oh Holy Night is pretty good as it's just their vocals. There's some semblance of a soul there. Aside from three songs, i don't want most of this music to affect my holidays.

1. - It’s okay but I know she can do better. I’m not the kind of year old to send bad reviews but on this it’s not so good. Mimic Vampire starlight that was pretty mean you know. Okay… I’ll say that about a song you hate and I’ll say I hate you. How would you feel. I myself would not like it. So think how your making others feel. Besides have you heard the statement…. Treat others how you wanted to be treated. It’s very true

2. Hallelujah - Hallelujah may be the single greatest Christmas song of this century. I heard this masterpiece at a small holiday gathering and was immediately compelled to look it up. Since then, whenever possible, I’ve been listening on repeat. It’s such a beautiful, powerful song. I imagine this is what Heaven sounds like. Carrie Underwood and John Legend are the perfect pairing - they’ve got pipes! I can’t fathom how some of the other reviewers are calling this album “boring” - do you hear what I hear?

3. My gift - Carries first Christmas album is a masterpiece.. that will be played for years to come and just just at Christmas Carrie brings new life into these songs and makes them her own . Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee / Wow I never really like old Hymns but this song is Beautiful this song Can be played all year long . O Come All Ye Faithful / Probably one of the most traditional songs on this Album Not one that I would play All year but Carries Vocals Soar !!! . Let there be Peace / the song if this song is so relevant for this year and is one that can be listened too all year also Carrie co wrote this so If you like Love Wins you will love this song . Little Drummer Boy / this is not one of my favorite Christmas Songs but Carrie Sells this and Adding her precious son Isaiah is a Plus.. . Sweet Baby Jesus / another stellar song written by Carrie that is deemed to be a classic !!!! The true meaning of Christmas that I will be listening too all year . Hallelujah / one of the best tracks on the album Carrie and John are fantastic this is a new classic that will played all year and for Years to come !!! A Number for sure . 4. Hmm ... Christmas Albums Are Tough - I look forward to putting on my favorite Christmas albums and songs every year. Most of the greats have recorded a Christmas album sooner or later, and it is always exciting when they do. Only a couple have succeeded in creating albums I want to hear over and over, year after year. Mariah Carey reigns supreme. Celine Dion also nailed it. Of course, Whitney waited until she was a crackhead and couldn’t sing anymore, but at least we have The Preacher’s Wife. Christmas music needs to be inspiring and FUN for me. Carrie’s album is way to serious. It’s almost depressing, and very Jesus-centric, but not in a fun way. I’m sure lots of deeply religious people will love it. The tracks are underproduced. I kept waiting for the album to end because it was so boring! Every song sounds the same. However, The Little Drummer Boy (a duet with her son) and the John Legend duet are both great. She does end up using a choir at one point, but it’s with the worst song on the album called, Let There Be Peace, which is a terribly written clunky piece of cliche junk. Christmases will come and go. Sadly, this is probably the last time I will hear this album. She DOES finally open her voice up on O Holy Night, but it’s too serious sounding for me. I’d rather hear Mariah’s version. At least when it finishes, I don’t feel like slitting my wrists.

5. This is a gift to the world - Most powerful voice there is. What isn’t to love about this album? All the haters are DEAD WRONG. Vocal perfection on all the songs-like THAT NOTE IN O HOLY NIGHT!!! Wowza! such a beautiful take on the classic Christmas songs, and added some absolutely BEAUTIFUL new ones to the catalog. Will be on wayyyyy past the holiday season in my house.

6. Love It - I Love this album! Carrie has included some of my favorite songs on this album and they are beautifully done! I love Mary Did You Know . I also love the way she did Little Drummer Boy, and Oh Holy Night has always been one of my favorites. Carrie’s voice brings so much depth to these songs. I have been a fan of Carrie since before she won American Idol and I will continue to be her fan!

7. Beautiful!!! - I saw her interview with Jimmy Fallon and had to purchase this music. It is amazing! I love hearing her son sing with her. A true song of Christmas and love. The song with John Legend is excellent also. Everyone of these songs are amazing. I wish her show wasn’t on HBO Max so we could all enjoy it. The music is a blessing and is really needed this season.
