2. I’ve Listened To Episodes Of The $ MBA Show - I first started listening to the $ MBA Show around when the th episode was released. I’m probably not your typical listener of this podcast. I don’t own a business. I just needed something to listen to for my daily commute that was different in subject and tone from the other podcasts I was listening to at the time. Eight years and two thousand plus episodes later, I’m still listening to the $ MBA. I enjoy Omar’s positive, upbeat, and encouraging lessons and attitude. He gives real, interesting, informative, and useful advice. Many of these lessons have specific examples that come from Omar’s own experience as an entrepreneur. I’ve learned a lot about entrepreneurship without actually being one. Even without owning a business, I find it worthwhile to listen to this podcast. And If I do start a business someday, I’m much more ready after being a regular listener. After all these episodes, I’m still not tired of the $ MBA Show. There’s almost always something I find interesting in each one. Some podcasts that I used to listen to are no longer being made, but the $ MBA Show is still going strong and still feels as fresh as ever. Thanks to Omar and his team for making such a great podcast. One more thing — I also really enjoy the show’s theme music, even after hearing it thousands of times.

Omar mentioned that two people can be right in their truths and there are multiple ways to reach the same destination, in sales and in business. Your beliefs around business and success will ultimately determine the outcome of it! This such an amazing podcast and I highly suggest it to anyone!

1. An honest assessment - I’ve always been someone that I feel struggled with communication. I mumble, get stumped easily, let my emotions dictate my choice of words. Improving my ability to communicate has always been a focus of mine. Maybe I need to start listening from the beginning but I really don’t know what the hype is about. I’ve tried really hard to actually extract some value from this podcast but it’s difficult. The host Matt is pretty good, he enunciates very well but to the point he sounds like a robot. For some reason he doesn’t use contractions and sounds like he’s reading off of notes. However the topics are good and his questions are good. Since these guys are master communicators, they’re very good at giving answers that sound good but don’t hold weight. These conversations are very academic and in theory seem to be very useful but the episode ends and I find I haven’t gained any practical benefit. Take for example season episode . Matt asks Allison Wood Brooks to give tips to make small taco more smoothly. A very good question. Dr. Brooks talks about why small talk is important buy subsequently provide zero tips. This example is emblematic of the entire podcast. The guests are very successful academics, and it seems like they only communicate with people of similar socioeconomic backgrounds. Maybe it’s not meant to be more, but when the episode ends and I arrive to work I find myself not having learned anything I could use myself.

2. Surprise! - It’s not often you stumble upon a great podcast that you weren’t searching for, and then leaning into it HARD. There’s more learnings in here than most leadership podcasts out there, and it really helps energize conversation around the advantages of effective leadership communication. Keep it up!

3. One of the best! - I came across this podcast by chance, but it’s now in my regular rotation. The host is fantastic, and the guests have incredible insight into communication with ties into other management & life concepts. I’d recommend this podcast though not just to those in business, but anyone who wants to strengthen their verbal communication skills. I’ve enjoyed and benefited from every episode!

4. Entertaining, insightful, and actionable! - This podcast is so insightful and I’ve enjoyed every episode I’ve listened to so far! Matt is a very skilled interviewer - he does such a great job of sharing his own wisdom and I love how he leads meaningful conversations with other communication experts who bring so much experience and actionable insight to the table. Highly recommend checking this show out - there’s an episode that will benefit everyone, and you’ll always leave having learned something new!

5. Insightful and Actionable - This was a podcast that I’d work into my playlist now and then, and came to realize just how much I anticipated hearing these discussions when new episodes were posted. Lately I’ve been going back to listen to past episodes. Great interviewer and thoughtful guests. I take new ways of approaching my call communications from EVERY episode!

6. Helpful. Keep Producing - This podcast has been very helpful for me who has public speaking fear. Listening to the style of how Matt and his guests talk in addition to the helpful communication tips they provide have been an inspiration for me to get better. Thank you to the team that creates this podcast!

7. The best Podcast on communication - I wish I can listen to more and of this Podcast, i don’t know how many times I listened to all Episodes. As a Trilingual speaker, I tend to doubt myself when I speak in front of great communicators and Well spoken English speakers etc.. I wish I had a professor or a mentor to help me have better confidence when I speak. Please share more and more Podcasts on Speaking smart... I need it to advance in my career.

1. Amazing podcast - I LOVE this podcast! I often find that my podcast feed is filled with male voices, stories and perspective, and it’s so refreshing to have women each episode talk about business! I learn something new every time. I often send friends and colleagues this podcast, and want to send them quotes from the episode to get them hooked. I wish you all provided a transcript so it was easy to quote and search in the episode to give better recommendations to friends!
2022-02-23
2. Unsure of the focus - The show is marketed as interviews of women leaders. The episodes that meet that description are compelling. The questions and advice are worth a listen. Lately, there seem to be more interviews of actors, journalists, models, and athletes than there are business leaders. These celebrities interviews are fine, but there are a million other shows that interview celebrities. Perhaps the hosts need to interview these celebrities to draw attention to the show, but I’d much rather listen to an interview with a woman I’ve never heard of who has actually led a team. She doesn’t have to be a CEO either. There are many women VPs, women on boards, etc. that could share a wealth of ideas.
2022-01-22
3. Such a wealth of knowledge! - As a long-time fan, I cannot say enough good things about theSkimm and to ish in particular! Carly and Danielle do such a great job of sharing their wisdom and I love how they lead meaningful conversations with other amazing women who bring so much experience to the table. Highly recommend checking this show out - you won’t be disappointed!
2021-09-21
4. Hosts could be more self aware - The way the hosts talk to women guests of color is alarming. On the Dean James guest episode, the host’s tone and assertion was a bit rude and was also noticeably different with white guests. The host’s question: what would you say to POCs navigating the process due to the ‘environment’ was also odd. POCs have the same experience of alienation at top companies as they will at top institutions. The lumping of class and color during that segment was also clunky and lazy. Nice podcast episode topics but poor execution

5. Doses of inspiration & empowerment! - I am L O V I N G this Skimm series of interviews from an exceptionally-curated community of powerful women leaders. Each episode narrates like an intimate, fireside chat with a strong female/mentor-like figure. The founders, Carly and Danielle, are skilled at asking the poignant & pointed questions that draw listeners deeper into each story. This series has inspired me in crafting my own story/personal ‘Why’, and contains anecdotes and doses of wisdom that leave me feeling inspired & empowered every time.

6. Don’t waste your time - These girls are just annoying and bad at this. They are also so out of touch, and terrible listeners and questioners. It is so frustrating to continuously see people who may have a successful company think it can translate into everything they do working well. Not podcasting. Not for these girls. Save your time and skip it.
2021-02-01
7. Keeps getting better - I’ve listened to this podcast from the very beginning, and it has instilled an entrepreneurial spirit in me. I’ve learned so much from listening to every single episode. Carly and Danielle are astute interviewers, and I’ve constantly been impressed with how tightly the episodes are edited. I agree with some previous reviews that there was a period of time in the middle when it felt like all of the interviews were with privileged young white women and there wasn’t much diversity in the stories/voices. However, it seems Carly and Danielle have taken those criticisms to heart and have really expanded the types of women and stories and careers they represent through the show. Thank you! And keep up the good work!

8. Has started to get a little redundant and/or uninspired… - I’ve been a long time listener of Skimm’d from The Couch after falling in love with listening to the show’s insightful and interesting guests. Unfortunately, the show has gotten a little boring within the last year, almost as though they’ve run out of interesting people to interview. Recent guests just haven’t had the spark necessary to really captivate my interest. With that being said, there are some great past interviews that I’ve listened to more than once! It’s , so I’m willing to give the show the benefit of the doubt and attribute this to being a temporary lull; hopefully, that proves to be true. In sum, start with the older episodes for optimal listening and go from there.
2020-10-07
9. Editing issues/ sound issues - I like the show but it’s distracting how poorly it’s produced. I find this with a lot of skimm podcasts. Some indie podcasts I listen to sound much better! Not sure what’s going on. (I know they may be remote right now but so are most of my podcasts I’m listening to!)
2020-09-17
10. Empowering! - I have listened to every single one of these podcasts. I never, ever, write reviews. The podcast with Abby Wambach is absolutely the best conversation I have heard in a long time. Abby is inspiring, real and holy moly, she is a bada$$, not just on the field! Great job Ladies! I can’t wait to see who you will have on the show next.

11. Skimm'd dives deeper than most. - They say they're skimming, and maybe they are, and I'm just catching up with them. I'm mildly autistic, and people in general are more of a mystery to me. I've tried that much harder to learn, but I"m sure I'm behind in learning. Still I'm impressed that these two young, white girl hosts have had so many older guests, and women of color, on their show, and let all these guests really talk about themselves, that in the year or so I've been listening while I clean at work, with my phone on my hip, not seeing their splash page photo, I forget they're white. With my non-hyper, daydreaming attention deficit, I don't recall names well, and I can't think of theirs, but that's another point in their favor. They make their episodes about their guests. They show the tip of the iceberg of women in business, and we get to listen to experiences that can guide our own efforts. Again, with my ADD, I can only recall daily and weekly routines well, but I've always been left with an impression that more neurotypical listeners could get a lot out of this show. Please give them a listen or three. I think you'll be glad you did.
2020-06-20
12. Almost Great - I love the hosts and the women that are being interviewed. However I wish there was more diversity in women being interviewed. This podcast could be the example of an inclusive space for all women. But right now it is just a space where white women give other white women high fives and advice.
2020-05-17
13. Not particularly compelling - Listening to someone’s story of success launched by inheriting a billion dollar conglomerate simply isn’t my definition of an interesting podcast episode. I have no issue whatsoever with inherited wealth and % applaud someone’s accomplishments in continuing the legacy. However, it doesn’t play out well for listeners looking to enrich their lives, IMHO. It’s a pity because there are so many possible stories out there to explore of fierce determination, a go-getter mindset, or overcoming adversity with a positive outlook. I hope the host focuses on keeping up the good work from many prior episodes!
2020-04-29
14. Entertaining but a lot of privilege - I was a staunch supporter of this podcast and I think what the founders have done is truly revolutionary. Go young women! What I find frustrating is that almost all interviewees are either from privileged backgrounds and/or when to the top schools. I'd love to see more women who have had humble beginnings and went to non competitive colleges.
2020-04-26
15. In general I like this podcast.... - But as other reviewers have mentioned, the hosts interrupt and interject their thoughts too much. Danielle and Carly try to hard to seem like they are seasoned business women instead of accepting and embracing where they’re at in their careers. Carly and Danielle, you are incredible women who have accomplished so much already but you still have a lot to learn from your guests. Learn to listen better and this will make your podcast and careers better.
2020-02-29
16. A must-listen for women in leadership - This is a great listen for anyone, especially females, who are interested in learning from other women’s professional experiences. A great opportunity to avoid making mistakes that other women have made along their career journey. Inspirational and motivational, this podcast will help develop you into the best boss or entrepreneur you can be. The perfect tool for hustlers and over-thinkers.
2019-12-07
17. Love this podcast! - I love everything about this podcast - the incredible female entrepreneurs, the Skimm founders (love their hosting style) and everything in between. It’s inspiring, informative and witty. I have never EVER left a review for a podcast before so that in itself says a lot! Highly recommend it.

Have you ever wondered how your friend bought that vacation home or why that colleague of yours makes everyone meticulously split the tab down to the last Diet Coke? Other People’s Pockets is a show about other people’s money. We ask people from all walks of life to get radically transparent about their personal finances in order to learn more about who we are and what makes us tick (and perhaps we level the playing field a little bit along the way?).

1. Mixed messages, poor use of language in an otherwise interesting show - . The use of "like" times per thought makes those speaking sound and seem so much less intelligent than they probably are. I don't get why these podcasters don't clean up their speech to avoid sounding "like" uneducated teenagers. . Please stop embarrassing yourself with the "capitalism BAD" schtick. You and your guests epitomize the benefits of it-and what is your suggested alternative? You willing to make a lot less, or even shut down, in a different type of economy? Doubtful.
That said:
Episode I'm writing this post-listen wasn't informative, as in "how to get there,"but it was I very inspiring, and interesting. Considering my age, and that I have two daughters near age of the guest, I admired even just that she had succeeded so young, to this point. Interviewers questions were concise and very clear. Not too many little asides about herself, to try to relate or clarify (which rarely works, for people who aren't at a Malcolm Gladwell level)or taking the speaker's answers into too many other lanes--excellent.
My only "eh" is with the podcaster's "whaaa whaaa" factor. Blame men, blame society, lash out at the very thing you are earning from (capitalism), but don't stand firm or clear at all about your experiences and how you rose above those. The whining about capitalism is laughable here, as referenced above. This woman speaks to those who are successful--and who she, as far as seems reasonable--has a job obtaining info from to help her listeners become successful...
She bemoans capitalism...yet what is her plan for the alternative? Her guest talks about making millions, how much goes to taxes, how people need to stand up for what they're worth, while considering taxes and other expenses, then later essentially says capitalism bad. It's such a mixed message, with no intelligent or concise back-up. Debating another listen, bc this guest was very interesting, and others are sure to be, also -but bc of the podcaster herself, it'll be a tough call

2. Disappointing - So.. when do we start talking about money? The podcast is advertised as letting you in on the secrets of the wealthy- getting tips and very specific information about how to navigate the financial world and manage money better. But it’s mostly the guests rambling about job experiences and being able doing what they love and make money. But none of it is actually helpful or tangible. In the first episode, it was so frustrating to hear the host ask specific questions about the guest's income, only for the guest to give a very vague answer. Obviously, the host is not setting clear expectation with the guests about the goal of the podcast- to create transparency about finances. Or maybe the host is not good at drawing information from the guests. Either way this podcast is a disappointment and a waste of time.
2023-03-22
3. This podcast is fire - This is the type of podcast that will have you sitting in your car after you parked just listening to the story. I listen to a lot of podcasts and this one is high quality! Great guests and Maya Lau digs right in to sticky questions with each guest. This show is now something I look forward to each week as episodes drop.
2023-03-12
4. Get inspired to ask your burning questions - The reason I love listening to this podcast is that Maya doesn’t flinch while asking probing questions most of us would never ask. That’s what makes these conversations about money so illuminating and insightful. Each pushes far past the squeamishness you’d normally have in a conversation about money into a very interesting place.
2023-03-04
5. Interesting, witty & educational! - I’ve listened to the first eps and love the variety of guests thus far. Maya asks compelling questions and has conversations with her guests that are real, relatable and inspiring! Money and finances can be so daunting - this podcast is super refreshing and has me motivated to be more aware and proactive with my own money and earning ability!
2023-03-01
6. Out of touch with the average person - I want to like the show, but the first two episodes are very disappointing! The description talks about “how your neighbor affords his boat” and then the first two episodes are a dominatrix and a spoiled journalist who has never made less than $k/year. REALLY??
First episode is clickbait: find a person with a financial domination fetish, and they just send you money. Reality is that this woman is a dominatrix, works super hard, and has found a super small slice of people with that financial fetish. The other episode is a very well paid journalist complaining about his childhood in “poverty of choice” and how he would rather make $, a year working for himself. No kidding. A lot of us make less than that and don’t have all the options he did. I don’t know what I expect from Pushkin anyway.
2023-02-28
7. Too soon to tell - The first two episodes were okay but didn’t wow my the way I was hoping. The show seems to be promoting a rugged individualism rooted in capitalism, where making money for yourself out ways everything else. The second episode attempts a more nuanced approach but Adam Davidson seems so out of touch with anyone who isn’t a wealthy east-coaster that it doesn’t quite get there. I hope this show will get more radical and complex as it goes on.

From the creator of How I Built This, host Guy Raz invites you to listen in as he talks to leadership experts and the visionary leaders of some of the world's biggest brands. Along the way, you'll hear accounts of crisis, failure, turnaround, and triumph, as the leaders reveal their secrets on their way to the top. These are stories that didn't make it into their company bios, and valuable lessons for anyone trying to make it in business.

1. Oh love it - I love the podcast “How I Built This” so this podcast is a clear yes for me! I’ll be listening to all of them probably in the next few months but the few I’ve listened to so far are great. I don’t understand the comments on the music. I actually enjoy the music. It builds suspense and makes me more interested in the story while I’m doing chores around the house. These episodes are really encouraging. Love listening to leaders and their stories. Really encouraging. Thanks Guy & team!!!!
2023-01-26
2. Music is an aggravating distraction. . - I’d give this a (I like it more than Guy’s HIBT) but I sometimes can’t get through an episode because of the distracting background noise (“music”). It is discordant and doesn’t fit the narrative. PLEASE drop the music. Not everything needs a soundtrack.
2022-09-21
3. Content Fine. Guy Raz is nauseating - How can somebody who stumbles over their words so much and stutters so much have a podcast? Mind blowing. His interviewing skills are horrible. He starts and stops his words constantly. When talking to somebody he is interviewing, he will act as if he doesn't know a fact about their story and ask it like a question when in fact he obviously has done his research and knows. He's very hard to listen to.

4. GUY RAZ IS A HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING - GUY RAZ WREAKS OF COASTAL ELITISM. HE CONSTANTLY TALKS DOWN TO EVERYONE AND LECTURES EVERYONE ABOUT HIS RADICAL DEMOCRAT COMMUNIST VIEWS OF THE WORLD. EATING MEAT WILL GET YOU IN TROUBLE, HAVING ANY CONFLICTING THOUGHTS THAT DON'T ALIGN WITH HIS RADICAL IGNORANT VIEWS OF THE WORLD WILL EFFECTIVELY LEAD TO YOU BEING SHAMED, LECTURED, AND CANCELLED. 5. Guy! I love you so much... why are you communicating with this monster? - Dave has proven he hates poor people, and minorities. His methods aren’t terrible but his business is deplorable and I am personally in the process of reporting him to his local real estate board for anti trust violations. Coming from someone who was an agent his disgusting and awful approach hadn’t changed since .... hey Dave. Put your disco suit back on. I hope you go bankrupt.

1. This guy gives me THE JUICE - You heard it here folks. Great advice, great personality, great passion. He really takes pride in his work, which is helping others find out what they are best at, and how to get there. Really, more income more impact; more money more meaning! He also is just compassionate, helpful, and entertaining. Really inspires me to perform at my job personally (also I always love the dad jokes and how his kids always call him “cringy” and he just leans into it).

2. Incredibly Helpful - Ken’s podcast repeatedly reads me my mail! Ken has been invaluable in helping me get into my dream career. Starting in , Ken helped me with his book, The Proximity Principle. With his wisdom & guidance, I finally got clarity, and I am now getting qualified. I’ve also been able to have the clarity & courage to quit a hated day job where I felt stuck. Thank you so much Ken!

3. Very helpful to us! - Love this show. The online assessment was eye opening to some of the ways God created me to be enthusiastic, that I hadn’t considered that could help direct my career and open my mind to other possible jobs. Thanks for all you share! Praying you are blessed and continue to help others!

4. The Old Gazelle of Career Advice - Hear me out: I’m not saying he’s old but I am saying he’s like an older, wiser gazelle who has outwitted every lion coming his way. The guy doesn’t have a degree and he ACTIVELY goes against the grain to encourage other people to stop chasing pieces of paper because they DO NOT guarantee success. I have a degree and I see nothing wrong with getting degrees if you NEED them. But, I still appreciate the sage advice on how to find a career that fires me up, challenges me, and helps me take care of my family and my future.

5. Life Changing - Ken is top notch, period! I listen daily and Ken is so inspirational and motivating. His talks alway make in impact on my day to day. Live fully and a life you love is always great to hear. He has changed my life for the better and I enjoy his head knowledge. Always gives a a good laugh. Favorite Ramsey personalities. Go Ken! Your killing it.
2023-01-31
6. Umm… - Ken is observably the weakest “personality” of the bunch from the ramsey show and it’s showcased on full display when on his own. Where’s the advice and why should I trust it? Ken has no concrete credentials supporting him being an expert… on anything career wise. He’s never done any HR work or coaching of high powered CEOs, been an actual CEO or lead a company in any way. His resume and previous work experience before Ramsey has been kept secretive for this very reason. He’s a heavy conservative that gives basic “feeling in my gut” type of career answers such as… you should get a job you love with people you like making tons of money. Also, he’s a rude Ramsey show cohost interjecting with repeating or contradicting advice. He’s a puzzling move for the Ramsey team for sure as he’s observably bad at his job.

7. Awesome - I’ve listened to a few podcasts by Ken, and I believe that what he’s saying speaks to me personally. His podcasts allowed me to see a major personal fault that has been hurting me my whole life! I’m working on it. God blessed him. Bless God for Ken sharing the wisdom with us. Every episode is filled so full of information and encouragement. It sticks with you and carries you on to better things. Thank you, Ken, for making your podcasts free.

8. Worth Your Time - I’ve been listening to Ken for about two years now. I have also read “ From Paycheck to Purpose”, and purchased the “Get Clear Assessment” for myself and others. If you’re looking for a daily motivator and guide to encourage you to find the job you was meant to do, please give Ken an opportunity to help.

9. The most Motivating podcast about the work place! - I’ve been listening to Ken show for about a year now and his show is so motivating in so many different ways. Listening to the show every day gives me motivation on being a better employee at my job. If you were feeling doubtful about your job or about the work place that you’re at this is the podcast to listen to help you! Thank you ken for making a great show!

10. One of the best shows for young men. - I’m a year old young man trying to find purpose, passion and career clear direction and this is one of my favorite podcast when I first started listening to it it soon became my most listened to podcasts, and I couldn’t wait for it to come out each day. His advice is clear convicting and funny at the same time definitely my favorite show. Keep up the great work!!

11. Answers to prayers - I’m serious! - I had to write a review after having multiple instances with my prayers being answered. Whether it was someone who was in the exact same situation or mindset. Maybe it’s a segment or a “rant”. But they are all jewels. This last one posted about what is holding me back (a prayer I have been waiting on an answer for for a while now) - and I not only received confirmation that I’m doing what I need to be doing right now, but also that my dream isn’t as impossible as I thought it would be. I really appreciate what the team is doing and all of the variety in content. In particular, I enjoy the leadership development segments and the focus on human connection.

12. Mr. Coleman’s advice works !! - I started listening to his podcast this summer . When I started searching for internships, I kept his teachings in mind and applied the “why” statement in interviews. Also, I asked the interviewers a lot of questions because Ken says the interview is much for me and is it for them. Luckily, on the very last interview I had, I got hired for an internship position with more pay and bonus than the previous one I had. I start next year May and I’m looking forward to doing what I do best, to generate outcomes that matters!

13. Only Listen if You Want the Juice!!! - Ken Coleman has become by far my favorite podcast. He is easy to listen to, and I absolutely adore his sense of humor! He makes so much sense and I can’t wait to buy his book, The Proximity Principle. I am almost finished with his book From Paycheck to Purpose. I will continue to follow him and whatever he produces because I know it’s quality content. I consistently share episodes from his podcast on various social media and career platforms simply because I find incredible value in the content. I know it can help so many people if they listen and read.
2022-12-14
14. Spot on - Ken Coleman is spot on. It doesn’t always apply to those of us in health care. I would like to have more discussion in these areas. Also possibly those in education as well. It’s geared more for office , tech , small businesses etc. Realize that tons of people don’t work in the corporate America nor -. However quite a bit of what he talks about will apply to all.
2022-10-04
15. Yikes - I appreciate Ken’s goal with this podcast. But as a hard moderate, I cringe every time he goes on a rant. He loves to blame young people, the left, and “socialists” for everything under the sun. This is just Fox News with some occasional career advice thrown in. Stick to your strengths, Ken. Political complaining isn’t yours.

16. Gets you back to your childhood dreams - I have been listening to Ken Coleman for two years. My first year I wrote a review and gave him five stars. But now I’m listening to the shows and I have to turn it off. Although Ken can give good advice I’m finding that he’s always talking. I really think his magic shines when he’s addressing the callers and trying to tap into their life purpose. But lately it’s just way way way too much of Ken talking. I do like him to talk but not the entire show. Please go back to your earlier episodes and get tune .

17. Good show, but - I like the concept but it’s a show. I didn’t realize I’d be spammed on a private email that was no doubt sold for profit the day after I signed up- you may say you didn’t but you certainly did! Some advice can not be taken literally such as a stroke patient who lost his job with flying, it’s the same with driving professionally, you can not do that. He likes to see places, meeting new people and places. Louisville Ky? Why not working with the riverboats? Just my suggestion.

1. Thanks/Gracias - Brown Ambition was my first financial podcast, I’m so grateful I found it. Mandi and Tiffany have helped change my perspective on using money as a tool to build wealth and give me peace of mind. I love the guest speakers and I’m especially loving audience members who come on the show with their very real financial questions. This is a POC-friendly podcast you can’t miss.

2. Thank you! - Thank you, both for having this podcast. Both of you have great tips. Mandi and Tiffany, thank you for helping me see outside the box. I thought I know much of finances and negotiating but obviously I was doing something wrong. I’m still learning and getting my things on track. So far Mandi, your negotiating skills helped. I was able to get at least a k boost on my salary :). Tiffany, love your energy, WOW I just love it! We need that cheerleader when working with our debt. Thank you for going above the basics of finance many of us do not think of our estate. Growing up I was taught if you don’t have it ask a sister (credit card) wow did this thinking put me in a hole. Which you are helping me get out of. You two woman are an amazing combo. Thank you a million

3. I LISTEN EVERY WEEK - - Don't love the new format. Are we doing Q&A both episodes a week? - Still wait anxiously on Wednesday for the new episodes! Love that you’re leveling up and getting the love in the new agency! Except, one piece that I miss is the support for businesses that are local / BIPOC! Please don’t promote Goldman Sachs... they have done so much harm to communities of color worldwide... - This is hands down the most money empowering podcast for women of color. Discovered them three years ago and I don’t miss an episode. Love Mandi and Tiffany!

4. Waste of Our Most Valuable Asset - I was looking to learn about finances, but I wasted minutes of my life. Wish I could get it back, but Father Time doesn’t grant refunds. Instead I learned about the personal lives of two people. They talked about their Thanksgiving time off and are now talking about eyelashes. Nothing against the hosts as human beings, but the content was far from financial. There was about minutes where they discussed their observations about the economy, but there wasn’t any deeper insight than what each of us would also observe about the economy. The financial equivalent of talking about the weather…yep, looks like it’s about to rain.

5. Fun, Sound, Transparent - I always have a good time listening to Tiffany and Mandi! A perfect pair of fun, energetic, and supportive friends giving their sound opinions on finances. I have cried, I have “yaaaaas,” I have shared what I learned/heard with others! I turn the volume all the way up just in case others are ear hustling. “We’re back, we’re black…. We’re brown Ambition!”

6. Mandy’s Negotiation Scripts are Overpriced Fluff, Buyer Beware. - I love this podcast and love supporting women in business. However, Mandy’s scripts are a rip off. I learned about her negotiation scripts in one of the episodes and thought to check it out because who doesn’t wanna know how to negotiate their salary? For $, all I got was pages of FLUFF. And I’m not talking about fully typed out pages of information. Thirteen pages of bullet points laced with large fonts and graphics. For context… a best selling book costs about $-$. And that’s to ish pages of information. For $ I expected more bang for my buck. Ripping off people who are trying to find their financial footing is a disservice to the very people you claim you’re trying to help. Because I was ripped off, I’m sharing the main bullet points here, so screenshot before they get my comment deleted. . In a salary negotiation, don’t name a number first. Say you’re excited to learn about the role etc. Research the salary range as well. . Ask for a raise when you get a competing job offer. Leverage. . When asking for a raise, demonstrate how you brought value to the team. Don’t talk abt inflation/ rent hikes. . When asked for previous compensation, say you don’t feel comfortable giving them a number. It is illegal in some states for employers to ask this, know your rights. . Ask for a sign-on bonus / or equity. Read the terms carefully. . If you have a competing offer, use that as leverage. . You can also negotiate relocation expenses . If given a verbal offer, ask them to email you the offer and give you x amount of days to look over it. . If you initially lowballed yourself, you can still renegotiate and say you’ve learned more about the role and what it entails so you want to be compensated accordingly. . If you want the job, but have a higher competing offer, you can see if they’ll match the competing offer. “I’m thrilled to work with your firm. The only thing holding me back is that a competing offer values me at $_____. “ That’s it really.

7. The First Financial Education HUBU (well, expert us) - As a first gen, Nigerian American woman, I saw my parents’ very different struggle with to provide impacted by their own citizenship status, race, colorism, class, gender, and age impacted. The education provided by expert newsies just isn’t written for us % of the time (though it’s getting better). Over this past year, I’ve learned so much and have made financial, career, and wellness plans that work for me—not someone else’s box for me. I’ve completed my emergency fund, got my retirement on track, and am rethinking my career and location. Thank you for giving me the tools to pursue financial wellness in healthy work environments.

8. Fantastic podcast— I learn something new on every show! - So I just discovered this podcast days (July , ) and have binged I don’t know how many episodes— wait, , , …. OK, I just counted, ! episodes. I’m in the middle of listening to the May th episode— the Other Side of Entrepreneurship— and I just had to stop. and. write. Mind you this is not something I do as far as doing shout outs through podcast reviews. And in fact, since this is my first time doing a review, I had to go on Google and type ‘how to leave a review on a podcast’— they gave me easy steps. Guuurrrlll!, I am a new and devoted fan of Brown Ambition and all that you’re doing!

9. Authentic Goodness - I listen to both episodes each week. I love that Mandi and Tiff talk about what is happening in the world socially let us know how it impacts them and women of color. They are smart and real. I am inspired and learn so much. Keep going and sharing, Brown Ambition - you are making a difference!

10. the best friends I needed! - Tiffany and Mandi are the best friends or older/younger sisters I always wanted. They provided so many advice that has given me a better perspective on financial empowerment, career, and so much more. I am so grateful for sharing great resources and especially for first generation career Latina women like myself. I feel like I have more tools and information to make better decisions that will have long lasting impact o my life and family!

11. Thanks for all you do!! - Mandi and Tiffany are amazing! I recently found the podcast, and it’s so empowering to hear the advice and stories of other Black women around my age killing it. I leave their episodes feeling informed, hopeful, and inspired. They make financial independence seem attainable and exciting. Signed, Manifestation Wealth Babe (MWB)

12. This show is SO GOOD - As a year old working mom, this show makes finances understandable as it is delivered in perfectly seasoned bite sized pieces. Brown Ambition provides the most amazing perspective on the things that we aren’t taught growing up. I finish each episode empowered and fascinated at the idea of breaking generational curses. THANK YOU for such quality content.

13. Love listening to Brown Ambition! - I have learned so much from listening to this podcast, and I continue to grow in my financial understanding through listening to this podcast, reading Tiffany’s book and checking out the other resources that their guests discuss or share. So immensely grateful to have learned about these amazing ladies a few years ago and to follow them still today.

14. Made with YOU in Mind - The Brown Ambition Podcast is made for everybody. It’s the podcast made for your ambition. Mandi and Tiffany are the financial experts who create content with you in mind. Are you a woman? Are you a man? Are you a human being who has a desire to get out of debt, learn to save money, learn to earn money, be your own boss, learn how to save for the future, and/or to learn how to learn to invest in a language that is simple to understand and explained in a way that makes living debt-free seem possible? Then, this is where you need to be. Mandi and Tiffany have been there. They were not born wealthy. They have made mistakes with money. They’ve been unemployed before and they’ve been cheated by unscrupulous people. They know the shame you’ve felt about being in too much debt or losing your home to foreclosure or needing to declare bankruptcy. This is a no-judgement zone. It’s all about getting the skills and the knowledge to “get good with money”. Here, you learn to accept where you are right now with your money and learn how to get where you want to be. I am a new listener now, six years after they began this podcast to help women like me who didn’t lack the ambition, only the knowledge to learn to create wealth. I am , single with no children, and a homeowner with two graduate degrees, but I’ve no significant savings and have too little salary to increase my savings or to put away more in my retirement account. I used to be anxious about money because I realized that I needed more income to be ready for the retirement that I dream of and deserve. I have a new lease on life because of what I’m learning listening to Mandi and Tiffany daily. Although I’m still paying my student loan debt, the lessons that I’ve learned in the weeks that I have been listening to the Brown Ambition Podcast have led me to make some positive changes in my life. I recommend it to all of the people out there that felt the other financial experts out there don’t understand you as a person who earns a fraction of what men with the same experience, skills, and education earn; but especially to people like me who have been ashamed to admit that all of their education and their professional income has not been enough to prepare you properly for the future. In the past weeks, I’ve learned to invest in myself in the way that will allow me to live well now and feel better about my future. Mandi and Tiffany like to say that they’re not gurus; they’re your girlfriends, but they’re wrong. They are better than friends because they can actually give you the honest truth about where you’ve gone wrong with money to offer you some educated advice about finding the solution to your money problems. It’s not like getting dieting tips, where some one is telling you what you already know. This is about learning what rich people know about money that no one ever told you because they didn’t want you to know or that they didn’t know themselves.

15. Love the advice! - I’m a recovering, former listener to another financial podcast from he-who-should-not-be-named with the initials DR, and listening to these ladies is a breath of fresh air. No more guilt, no more shame, just owning my past financial mistakes and moving on to build a better and more informed legacy. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Keep the episodes coming!
2021-12-18
16. Dance - Have you ever eaten great food, so great that you do a little wiggly, happy dance in your seat? Yes? Me, too! People around me think I am just hungry, which might also be true; however, great food just makes me happy. And, somehow, I have a similar - almost visceral - reaction when a new BA podcast episode pops up in my notifications. SN: There haven’t been any new episodes for a few weeks (I’m sure one of my girls is practicing self care - ), but I’ve even gotten excited - AGAIN - about the throwback episodes. I keep finding new gems! Love these ladies like I know them! You will, too.
2021-12-15
17. Best Money Podcast for Brown Women! - I can’t say enough good things about this podcast. Tiffany and Mandi talk about money, relationships, retiring EARLY and how to do it, as well as the stress of maintaining an ambitious career along with every other duty we have as women. I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, and most importantly I’ve grown financially listening to this podcast. Thank you both so so much for your time and effort into Brown Ambition. You help so many people!

Every week on Started from the Bottom, host Justin Richmond interviews successful people who grew up on the outside – people of color, people who weren’t part of the old boys’ network, people who grew up in a world where almost nobody went to college. How did they do it? How did they beat the odds while also beating away the feeling of being an imposter?

1. So so good! - Great interviews, Justin Richmond is such a good interviewer, keeps the story going with the guest while still letting them talk it through instead of jumping in, relatable without making it about himself. Love the behind the scenes of how the guests felt about events in their lives we all know from the outside. Really great listening.
2023-03-14
2. Paradigm Shift - From the host to the guests the show changes the way you think about success. The host Justin Richmond shares his personal story in the first episode and it’s just as compelling as his guests. His perspective really helps him connect with his guests and you can tell they are engaged and more willing to share with him than they would be with others. I can’t wait for more episodes to drop!

1. Just not a good person - I have this weird quirk where I have to at least respect the person I listen to, or at least his/her knowledge on subjects when it comes to self improvement, business, etc. I do not respect GC in any area except branding. He has been able to claim he’s an expert on so many things, when in reality, it’s the opposite. Take a look at the sales podcast with Jordan Belfort. Belfort asked Cardone simple sales questions and Cardone couldn’t answer and resorted to wanting to fight. It was the most pathetic display I’ve almost ever witnessed.
2022-09-03
2. Excellent Motivation - I have listened to Grant before since I am not a spring chicken at age of . Recently went through some serious health problems concerning high blood pressure that I created by ignoring my health. I was dismissed from my job because I just couldn’t run with the - year olds anymore. After months of feeling sorry for myself, I am self-rehabbing and going to re-create my life at a much more rewarding career than I was in before. Looking forward to coaching from Grant to exceed expectations. It isn’t over till I decide it’s over!

3. Love Uncle G! Podcasts too long! - Man, I love listening to Uncle G! X changed everything for me and I’ve recommended it to dozens of colleagues. I know GC reads this, so take it as you will…cut your podcasts down to mins. As it stands now, they are just too long. Love you man, thanks for making us all X sellers!

4. Amazing Podcast! - I got in to real estate when the pandemic started I am now close to owning a million dollars in real estate. I love listing to Grant and the advice he gives, it helps me navigate when looking at deals. I also love his background and how he flipped his life around with working hard and investing.

5. Finally, an authentic power couple to be inspired by - Your views on politics, marriage, spirituality, lifestyle, raising kids, and of course business - are refreshing. Grant and Elena are a much-needed voice in a space where often people don't have the guts to say their truth in fear it won't be the "popular" opinion. My son (who is training to be an accountant with the plan to invest in real estate) turned me on to this podcast and ever since I've been binge-listening. Even my husband is hooked now! We have been working harder than anyone we know for insane years on a year dream. Now we can ignore the people who tell us we work too much or that we "really need to take a date night" and stay focused on our goals. And Elena - thank you so much for setting a good example for other women on what a strong, business-minded woman looks like. Love you guys!
2021-04-03
6. Great energy - Grants content is awesome. While I’m driving apt to apt GC is streaming all day in the car. Closing, follow up, passive income, you name it he is covering it. Jared and Grant put the information out in a fresh look and puts the facts first. (Januaryst) Where is this show now.. nothing since October?
2020-12-15
7. Game Theory Simplified - A prescription for those truly interested in a establishing a growth mindset. The best articulated applications to money, relationships, work, discipline and self reflection. Disrupt your truths and invest in going from good to great. Loving this while Grant still has the interest to offer up so much exposure into his brain for free, to the subscriber.

1. Example of persistence and perseverance - Great guests and the repititious of overarching successful actions is powerful. The host is an incredible example and probably the most apt lesson to be learned is in emulating his persistence and perseverance. When I started my business this podcast was a very helpful tool to build it and still remains at the top of the list.
2023-03-18
2. Changed my life! - JLD bring the fire! Each episode is packed with years of experience and solutions to real problems from his expert guests. The value-bombs stack up with each new daily dose of knowledge. The best way to start my day is tuning in. What really did it for me is listening to the many stories of those who took the risk to quit their corporate career and pursue their dream. This podcast inspired and encouraged me, but more than that, it showed me that I can be an entrepreneur. It’s given me the tools and resources to build my own corporation, hire my team, launch my website and change my life for the better. Thank you JLD!

3. So much more admiration - I just listened to your Military Real Estate Investing episode and I had no idea you are a veteran. First, thank you for your service. Second, thanks for taking about our military with so many followers, it doesn’t get enough credit. I’m in marketing, my dad is a Marine Vietnam veteran, earning the Bronze Star. I’ve seen it all, and heard it all. Thank you for all that you do with this podcast.

4. A must-listen - If you’re starting a business or want to, this podcast is Value Bomb City! Have been listening for years and it’s definitely helped me with my business more than once. I even had a direct question to JLD about something he said on the show and he personally emailed me back. Great podcast and guests all the way around.

5. Podcast (ad) - Today is the day I unfollow. Podcast was on “weight loss” and it was basically an ad for what I assume is one of his buddies. At the end of a waste of minutes and no actual information, it was, go to buddies website for to buy services from him. Always thought he was full of himself anyway. Done.
2023-01-04
6. Horrified - I have been a LONG time fan of the show, but today’s episode was horrific. The fatphobia was rampant. Body diversity is real. Body size is NOT an indicator of health or even of heathy behavior. I am a thin person and have been far unhealthier than people in larger bodies. I had to go to the hospital to gain weight. Do some research on Health At Every Size. This episode was offensive, inaccurate, and cruel.
2022-11-29
7. big tv commercial - Every “guest” is just selling their “change-your-life” get rich scheme. I say “guest” because who knows by what means they’re getting on the show. $$$? Every once n a while you’ll hear a morsel of relevant knowledge, but the bulk of it is advertising for their own consulting/seminar biz.
2022-11-25
8. Definitely Amazing! - James has built Entrepreneurs On Fire into a powerful business, which has enabled him to build a team of over employees who are also owners in the company. He is one of only a handful of entrepreneurs who have had seven-figure growth in revenue annually for eight years straight.
2022-10-10
9. The number one tool in an entrepreneur’s arsenal - Even if you are not starting a podcast, JLD and Kate continue to be my go-to for starting another business. They help you navigate not only starting, but what to do to grow, exit and overcome obstacles by interviewing other entrepreneurs. Even when a subject seems to be directed at other industries, you can always glean important information to use personally. JLD has become a hero to me.
2022-09-25
10. A boost of bravery for the day - Being an entrepreneur is scary, and very few people in the world truly understand how scary it is. There is no safety net - and that can be isolating when I talk to my friends who work for other people/other companies. Every day EOFire gives me a shot of encouragement from JLD and his guests. The overarching message of every episode is , “you can do it!” No matter what “it” is, I can do it.
2022-09-24
11. Great Content - I get so much insight from the minds that JLD have on the podcast. The level of transparency with struggles and successes is refreshing. Another thing that I love about EOFire is that I have been introduced to people that I would not have known otherwise. Thanks for bringing great content and wishing you continued success.
2022-09-24
12. eoFire is - eoFire was one of the first podcast I fell in love with. JLD always has great guests and each episode is packed with value bombs. I had the privilege of being a guest in the show and JLD is a phenomenal host that asks great questions to get ad much value from ever conversation for fire nation.

13. Must listen for Entrepreneurs - If you are an Entrepreneur or someone looking to be inspired then you MUST Listen to Entrepreneur on Fire. John Lee Dumas interviews the most successful people this world has to offer and gives great advice in each and every podcast. Each show gives you content that you can use in your own life to become more successful. John is the Man!!!
2022-08-07
14. Best Entrepreneur Podcast by far! - The podcast covers every single aspect of an Entrepreneur' life: business, health, productivity, wealth, relationships and much more... The episodes are so well-thought-of and so incredibly insightful that you need to listen to them few times to make sure you catch all the gold. But even more important to me was to observe how much John cares, and how committed he is to help Entrepreneurs make it in this challenging, ever more competitive market place. I experienced first-hand how much time and effort John puts into selecting the right people and the right information for the podcast. I met many well-known Thought Leaders in the past. But John stood out to me on so many different levels: his very caring heart, his intelligence, his commitment to create the best content for his audience and how much he cares about everyone in his community. Here is to JLD , an incredible Thought Leader that truly stands out!
2022-08-07
15. One of the best podcasts out there! - I found out about EOF when I heard JLD on another podcast. He was so full of positivity and motivation that it led me to his podcast. I commute a lot living in Los Angeles and I can count on a great episode whether I choose an old one or one from the current day. His topics and guests cover everything that can help in all aspects of life. From financial freedom, health and wellness, mindfulness, entrepreneurial topics, you name it, you’ll always learn something from here. Whether I need motivation, or I’m feeling down and need some inspiration, this is my go-to podcast. I’m so glad I found this!
2022-08-05
16. These people run in packs - First, I can’t take anyone seriously that refers to themselves in the rd person as JLD. Second, they just rotate appearances on each other’s shows and try to ride coattails and name drop Tony Robbins and Tim Ferriss every chance they get. 17. Exchange with Dave Foster - Wow! Thanks John for taking the time to interview Dave Foster about the exchange for real estate investors. It was packed with valuable information and I know first hand that Dave Foster and his team are incredible people to work with. Anyone involved in real estate investment should take the time to listen, so you can also save %-% of your profit. Thank you Dave Foster!!

18. The Investor - What a great episode! Really nice to understand that the IRS actually wants people to use the exchange option… Sometimes I'm made to feel like it's a loophole I'm taking advantage of. I really appreciate the specific advice and look forward to checking out their instructional videos!

1. Bryan is an amazing sales instructor - Bryan is an absolute expert when it comes to anything sales. I hit a plateau in sales, and couldn’t break through my own sales ceiling. Kind of like some other people that wrote amazing reviews for Bryan, I found The Brutal Truth by accident. From listening to his expertise and implementing the lessons he has taught, I have already had progress and landed more really good BB clients within the last week. The Brutal Truth is an amazing podcast and everyone who is in sales should be listening to Bryan and his guests.

2. Please add guest information to your episode descriptions - Hi, I just found your podcast and am so far loving it! However, it would be extremely helpful if you would actually put information about the episode itself, guests, etc. rather than just a general pitch for your products in the episode description so your listeners don’t have to dig through the episodes or relisten skipping around the entire thing to try to find the name and information for the guest. Thank you.

4. Very real - knowledgeable- professional - I can’t say enough- but he is a velvety sledgehammer- Learn to sell like this gentleman- He can teach how to sell- without the appearance or feelings of being “ sold “ There are very few “ sales coaches “ that catches my interest these days, but this guy is the real- deal.

5. Thank you Brian! Much needed - Brian gets it. He gives you so much valuable and actionable information in this pod. As I travel I listen and get refocused for the day. It is refreshing to hear his thoughts on BB sales and how he conveys his understanding/frustration with how this is typically practiced. If you give it a listen it will be well worth your investment.

6. Next Level Sales Talk - You can tell by the questions Brian asks and the thought process he has that he has played the game at the highest level. You can’t fake BB success too long before people realize your just another pretender like many other podcasts out there. This podcast is full of useable insight that can actually move the needle for you in your pursuits of becoming a success BB rep.

7. Perfect time to subscribe to this new podcast! - I’m very excited to start my new journey into copywriting with Nicki at the beginning of this... her new podcast! It feels real and relevant to listen and learn her instructions at the time the podcast is actually being created (and not by going through old stale archives.) I don’t feel ‘late to the game’ or like I’m trying to catch up with everyone else.

8. School is in session! - As Brian references, sales is a lot like tennis. It takes a long time to be good at it. I have been in software sales for years and thought I was decent at it. However, I have learned so much from Brian in such a short amount of time. He shares easy to adopt tricks of the trade that provides immediate return on investment. I teaches you in a very systematic way how to get the meeting and go from being unknown to prospects, to being known! The podcast only scratches the surface, when it comes to gaining insight from his expertise. If you want the full experience and go from average to elite in sales, you MUST go through his month course. It’s easy to digest and able to be done outside of your work life. It is a small investment to take the next step in your sales career but the return outweighs the upfront cost significantly. Thank you Brian.

9. Real talk- Humor- Effective Approach - Brian has a unique way of educating through humor, direct communication, and highlighting the topics we as sales people often forget or those like me who Are you g and without a mentor. Sales can’t be taught in my opinion but the skills one innately has still need growth, polishing, and ensure a strong foundation in which these attributes may thrive.

10. Excellent podcast to think like a prospect! - This show and the guests Brian brings to the table is outstanding. I am also taking his class, which is well worth the investment in time and money. Brian is an excellent teacher and having come from the customer side previously, his approach to really think like a prospect makes sense. You will get more meetings and therefore more revenue!

11. The Boom that Lasts! - Thank You Brian! Excellent info, your diversity covers so many industries, and brings in the top of the line experts to help us grow our business! Listen, then listen again! There’s no way you can grab all this value in one pass. As promised in my email, I went straight to provide a review of the great service you pride to the Sales Industry. Thank You!

12. Great podcast!! - Deeply enjoy listening to this. One recommendation for improvement. Maybe I am missing it, but describe the author and what they are selling. I’ve wanted to buy before and it can take some time to figure where to go to buy the books your guests are selling. You will be hearing from me soon. I want to take your class.

13. Very Meh. material. - This person hasn’t been a BB capacity since . Every episode starts and ends with - minutes of self promotion for his company or “his experience”. Worst part is he masquerades his show as something he doesn’t have to do but he does to help sales reps...meanwhile it’s really not drive people to his business (not bad just be honest about your intentions/funnel). Although everyone can reap value from having a coach help or spot you (nd/rd pair of eyes) remember he’s far removed from true BB complex sales/challenges reps face...his info comes from his clients/blogs/guests. The only value are some of his guests, and at times he guides the conversation towards something he wants to subjectively speak about. Some of his guests are very Meh, out of episodes only or so bring next level value. There’s way better podcasts like insides sales, saastr, and/or Scott Ingram’s show; even johnbarrows stuff is better than this..that’s another guy who exists primarily to sell his own service, which is where he gets his experience from (it’s like one of those public speakers who got famous for public speaking). Finally unsubscribed from this...found myself deleting most shows and being annoyed by his minute plugs

14. Always Be Learning - Brian does a fantastic job on this podcast as well as his others of teaching and helping salespeople learn and grow. Whether it’s motivation or insight, I’m always a better professional after finishing each podcast. With all the options out there, Brian’s mindset and content should be at the top of every list.

1. Love this guy! - Listening to Darren’s daily wisdom has definitely become one of the highlights of my day. What a treasure chest of great ideas! Unfortunately, the hour rule sometimes puts me in a crisis. When I get super-busy and postpone listening beyond hours, I “double down” on my resolve to stay up to date :) Thanks Darren! No matter what happens during my day, these short videos always make me smile and leave me thinking about what you said.

2. Greatness - Bebettereveryday is the mantra of this community. I’m honored to have Darren Hardy as one of my mentors. I learned so much with his teachings! More than motivation is a guide to start the great compound effect in your life and business for the good! The stories are so inspiring! I’m grateful to find this in my life! Thank you for your service and for sharing with us your greatness!

3. Consider - I would encourage this podcast host to consider how he can share daily advice without patronizing or belittling other beliefs systems that he doesn’t agree with. Once you belittle someone’s belief system, it’s hard to hear anything that is being said no matter what the value. You don’t have to bring others down to bring your yourself up.

4. out of a ! - There are so many gurus on Leadership and personal development. None of them come close to the refined and distilled, no fluff practical application of each Darren Daily, and it’s free! I have invested in every course of Darren’s. I can say the value has FAR exceed my investment. You will get a minimum of x for the investment if you do the work! Thank you, Darren, for doing the work to bring us the most relevant ideas and practical ideas that are applicable today. Darren delivers excellence!

5. A Podcast from a Mentor from C-Suite to line workers! - Many leadership/success podcasts are targeting senior leaders. The content usually doesn’t apply to workers or lower management. Darren on Demand is different. Sure you will hear Darren speak of meeting with the most successful people across various industries. However, the principles discussed in these can be applied to every level of organizations. Do you want to be better today? Subscribe and let Darren mentor you to become better. If you want to cause lasting changes subscribe to the Darren Daily emails. My routine is watching Darren Daily in the morning with my coffee and journal then listening to Darren on Demand at lunch. Where I went wrong before was by listening to over podcasts daily from different creators. This did not help me learn but had different ideas and sometimes competing ideas all in the same day. This did not help with focus but led to a blurry vision of what to do. Be intentional about selecting a small handful of voices to speak into your life. Then grow deeper into what you are learning. I am in the Navy and am not a senior leader. In fact the saying goes, “Enlisted make recommendations, Officers make decisions.” Listen to that for too long and you forget you are responsible for yourself and the key decision maker for what you focus on and how you respond to a changing world around you. This podcast and the Darren Daily have helped me to get better everyday. Insane Productivity and Ludicrous Leadership took it to a whole different level! Thank you DH team for serving leaders at different levels of their organizations!

6. Constructive criticism from your fan - Darren, as an entrepreneur, I love all your teachings, except your stereotypes about Russia. I let it go when I first heard you give one as an example, but you’ve done it multiple times now, so thought I’d let you know, it’s not professional of you to give examples that aren’t true. By trash talking about Russia, you are confirming that you are being led by the propaganda you are teaching in this episode that we shouldn’t be surrounded and led by.
I’m only letting you know because from one of your episodes, you said to let you know of your mistakes. Thanks for considering

Anyone who adopts even /th of the wisdom imparted by you will have a better life and be a better person. If you love the DD, I highly recommend that you go deep on reading the books and investing in the programs like Insane Productivity and Jumpstart when they are offered. “Better every day” is the kind of life that I aspire to live. It’s a great gift to yourself and the people around you.

12. I never imagine this - I love listening Darren’s Podcast because he shares some great ideas that can help you become better every day. But, there are two episodes that I listen Darren shoots on someone, I never imagine that Darren Hardy will compete with someone by shooting like this. Even though people dance and walk on fire people live it and they have results. If it’s not your style, I don’t see why you have to criticize someone who has already a huge success with over millions of millions people around the world.
I love your contents and love your book.

Subscribe to “Darren Daily”... listen to his personal recommendations which are cultivated through decades of his mentoring others in the personal development space, especially the respect he pays the late Jim Rohn. I don’t write reviews, however this is my way of taking a moment w hope that this review may result in another person taking the action necessary to move forward and in turn, also impact others as well.

15. amazing!! - Darren always has some lesson for us to learn and to apply to our life. I love it when he gives processes! The only reason I gave him stars instead of is because they are putting the most recent episodes in Darren daily. I feel it would be more helpful if they went back to when Darren first started Darren daily because we obviously were not able to see episodes before we found out about Darren. Thank you a-Team and Darren for all that you do!!

1. Long-Time Listener - I’ve been listening since the beginning, and it just keeps getting better. I love hearing all of the inspiring stories as I contemplate what I may do in the future. It’s one of the few things I enjoy looking forward to for myself as I run around raising little humans. Thanks for the refuge, Hillary!

2. Vocal Fryyy - These women sound so much like the Mean Girls cast, not to mention occasionally ridiculous, “oh I know, SO inspiring!”. Really? These days with everything going on, WHO CARES? Also, any fashion references they make are said so fast how does anyone get them unless they’re all listed online somewhere? Podcast for the % and kids still on their parents insurance plan/phone bill

3. Softball questions - Interviews with a lot of softball questions, especially with people whose companies may not have a great reputation from their employees. If you’re going to talk about design and retail, talk about the problems in the industry, and what leadership is doing to retain and develop their teams instead of just fawning over the C-suite people. Ask some harder questions - it will lead to better conversations. Otherwise it’s just fluff.

4. Please Create Separate Podcast for WWW - Love the Second Life show but would be way better if you would create a separate podcast for the WhoWhatWear episodes. Some people are not going to be into the WWW episodes as much as the second life ones, and it makes checking the updates a bit disappointing.

5. Fly by Jing - Thank you Hillary for sharing your talk with Jing. I had the pleasure of meeting Jing last month at a conference and I loved learning more of her story and what a true warrior she is. Sending all the good vibes to you and Jing for building others up and bringing a higher level of compassion for women entrepreneurs.

6. Wonderful in every way - I will make this review short & sweet but Hillary is the best podcast host I’ve ever listened to and I am an avid podcast follower/subscriber. She has genuine (!) enthusiasm, interest, curiosity, and thorough research for each of her guests that span a plethora of backgrounds, industries, credentials, ages, and life experience. She doesn’t pepper in ads that disrupt the conversation and as a skilled interviewer, as any good host would, she has a list of questions tee’d up but also goes with the flow of the conversation and it’s two-way listening that many other podcasts don’t have – a marvelous rarity. Similar to the heavyweights like Oprah and Diane Sawyer, she doesn’t machine gun question guests. She adds her perspective and probes further on behalf of her listeners’ intel and entertainment. This podcast is divine in every way and I regularly pop by its homepage to give it its deserving five stars.

7. Listen and learn (even though it’ll feel like you are just being entertained) - When a friend recommended this podcast because he said it reminded him of my evolution, I was curious to check it out. I was a bit skeptical when I saw that many of the guests seemed to be half my age, but I gave it a try and got sucked in. Each episode is full of inspiring stories from people who have started brands I’ve heard of but aren’t extremely well-known. I feel motivated to keep going on my own endeavor. I’m learning as I listen, but it feels like I’m eavesdropping on a conversation between my big sister and her best friend. So fun!

8. The “always” podcast for me - I listen to a lot of podcasts, randomly, when I can etc etc. I ALWAYS listen to this podcast. I admire Hillary as a person, yes. But I also think she is an incredible host. She has a great voice both literally and figuratively. She gives space but also encourages these women. I’m confused by the other reviews that are annoyed by her praise…clearly missing the point of this podcast. From here, I have found more and more people I’m inspired by. I honestly didn’t realize I wanted to be an entrepreneur myself until I realized how much this podcast—and those that I’d been inspired by—meant to me. Second life is

9. So insightful and inspirational - I feel like I’ve lived many lives and am in a transitional phase as I embrace growth. I’m in my late s and I can feel the shedding and the yearning for new. I am familiar with change and transition and am no longer afraid but excited to see how I evolve and what comes next. This podcast is truly right on time and is just what I need in this physical and emotional time. So grateful to have come across this! Thank you Hilary!

10. The Absolute Best! - My favorite podcast, often will relisten and find myself hearing new pieces of wisdom and knowledge from these amazing voices. Hillary has a gift for interviewing in a truly authentic and original voice. I love cooking and listening or a long drive to enjoy and think about these stories and how they can support my own growth as an entrepreneur. Thank you Second Life and Hillary!
2021-05-13
11. Recent Changes to Show Uninspring - This use to be my FAV podcast, and while I still listen, it’s starting to lose its luster. I use to love the stories of these entrepreneurial women and how they built THEIR businesses, now it seems like it’s just Hillary going over someone’s resume in their careers at random companies. It’s honestly getting boring and uninspiring.
2021-04-13
12. Great & inspiring for female entrepreneurs! - Such inspiring and real stories, enhanced by thoughtful questions by Hillary - very helpful life / career lessons & wisdom, especially foe those of us at the beginning of an entrepreneurial journey. The podcast name says it all - a very key theme in the multifaceted life of women with many lives to live!
2021-03-05
13. Love it! - I’m in transition mode into my second life and when I heard about this podcast I binged it . Still binging it- so empowering to hear other women’s stories, you relate you learn and most of all feel that much more confident in your dream and business! Thank you so much for doing this podcast

14. Just What I Needed - Second life came at the exact right moment. During the pandemic, I decided to look into going back to school. With the quarantine, and the busyness of everyone’s life around me, it felt lonely. The show was recommended to me, and I instantly felt “at home”, surrounded by women who had taken the same steps I am. Hillary is a fantastic host, has the most calming voice and asks the right right questions. It feels like an honest, constructive conversation between girlfriends. It has helped on days where my confidence about my decision is lower, and lifted my spirits about this period of transition. I’m at so thankful for it!

15. Too many famous names... Not as interesting anymore - I used to LOVE this podcast. But it seems like all of the recent guests are famous actors, athletes, wives of athletes, etc...who have now decided to try something else. I’m not saying they’re not admirable, or that they aren’t working hard... but it’s easier to start over when you already have a platform. I need inspiration from people, like me, who are leaving a career, maybe raised their kids, left a marriage and decided to launch something new. I’ll keep checking back to see if you interview those kinds of guests again. Thanks!
2021-01-05
16. Don’t enjoy anymore - I used to love hearing about the challenges of being a woman at work and hearing how they’ve overcome them. This show is not that anymore. Now it’s basically free promo for brands. You’re better off listening to a show like armchair expert when there’s a female guest or the skimm from couch show about successful women.
2020-12-08
17. Mostly a Vehicle for Promotion - I initially really loved this podcast because it seemed like all of the guests had proven track records of hard work and success in their field. As a young women I really wanted to hear how these guests achieved their success and started their new venture; what were some low points before they hit success, and what they learned through the good and the bad. However after the first season it seems like the podcast has morphed into a vehicle for any big name to promote their new business, regardless of their track records. All of the guests have a product/service to promote (very few of them are successful women starting out on a second career that isn't a new business), and it feels like many of the questions/whole episodes don't really touch on issues that impact women at work and deter our success. I see this as a huge shame because young women need more stories of how successful women made it through the struggles to become revered, and then have the guts to start a new venture. I'm not really sure hearing how a celebrity, with huge amount of influence and capital, started a business, really achieves a goal of empowering women who don't have huge amounts of influence and captital.
2020-11-26
18. Interview with Aurora James - This episode was WEAK. Aurora is an amazing, inspiring and intelligent guest and Hilary’s lackluster responses to her were reallllly telling. It seems like she did not want to get into the nitty gritty of the racial discrimination in the fashion industry. This podcast has gotten way too comfortable with asking the same questions over and over. I would really appreciate if Hilary switched it up and asked different questions catered to each specific guest.
