1. Still Amazing a Second Time - I’ve read this book two times now. The first time was about a year ago. And the second: just now. For the most part I remembered what occurred throughout this book. I remembered: the plot twists and characters, etc. So this time I was able to really dive deeper and observe the clues with a mindset of already knowing what was going to happen. . . . If that makes any sense. Also I really like the short chapters. Though the first chapter was good it was the second and third (and every single one after) that got me hooked and kept me hooked. From the beginning it was fast-paced and something was always happening. There was always a new clue to be unturned. Tobias Taterswell Hawthorne is one complicated man, that is all I will say. Now I have to talk about the characters. Avery is such a strong lead and I LOVE how smart she is. She can easily keep up with the boys and she often finds the answers before they do. She stays true to herself even when the whole Hawthorne family is pitted against her. Grayson and Jameson: very well written. They were similar, but different. And the backstory with Emily just added the perfect touch to this story. The emotions were so raw and real. You could see how much the boys struggled throughout this book even though they tried not to show it. I haven’t read the next two books, but I hope to Tobias Hawthorne that they have a good ending. AND THE LOVE TRIANGLE! I don’t know who I want her to end up with. I want her to be with both, but if you’ve read it we both know the boys wouldn’t let that happen again. Xander is my favorite character. He is so intelligent and smart, but he always seems to get overlooked. With Nash being uninterested in their grandfathers riddles and Grayson and Jameson always teaming up, he was left alone. So that is why he always spent so much time eating scones with his grandfather. The ending was not what I expected with Xander. It was a shock even though I’ve already read this book because I forgot that happened . . . Alsoooo I just want to say that the clues and plot twists are exquisite. They will keep you on the edge of your seat til am. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM. This review was a bit all over the place, but let me just say: If you are unsure whether to read this book or not let me tell you: READ IT. You may not love mystery or YA, but I personally believe this is a book everyone should read. Please read it, even if you don’t deem it five stars like I have you will not regret it.

2. Very addicting. Couldn’t put down. - Such a good story. It’s been a long time since I was deeply enthralled into a book. This was such a fun story to read and I cannot wait to start the nd story in the series. My only critique, which means nothing because I mean nothing, is the chapters are unnecessarily short; they could have been longer with less number of chapters. Also, Avery is first described as a self assured independent young woman and then throughout the entire story she was constantly doubting herself and the CONSTANT italicized thoughts to herself were a little distracting. Again, what do I know? I’m not the author. Great series, still.

3. Loved This Book!! - I loved this book, the main character was relatable and smart and her story was compelling. I loved the characters and the descriptiveness and feel of the book. How she became one of the richest people in the world and it’s such an amazing ending. Less creepy, but more witty and cause characters to decipher things more than an eery or scary feel. I absolutely recommend!!

4. Best Book!!! - This is the best book I’ve ever read. The inheritance games had you at the end of your seat the whole book. I love how Jameson told Grayson the whole truth on what happened. I couldn’t believe the ending of the book. I can’t wait to read the second book. I definitely suggest this book to anyone who has never read this genre!!!

5. JLB’s Best Trilogy - I have read every book she’s written, and I have to say that this is absolutely amazing—with that said, this series is so far my favorite trilogy and favorite book. I read it just about a week after it was released and was instantly hooked. Can’t wait for Final Gambit! Definitely a good read, I couldn’t stop turning the pages. I believe I read it all in about - hours?
TL;DR: A great book for the YA crowd out there and, of course, mystery fans! Best book ever.

6. I cant believe it - Honestly I’m not a person for mystery but I couldn’t help but read until am. Each twist and turn kept me on the edge of my seat. I fell in love with these characters. I wasn’t expecting much because this is the second book but wow was I mistaken. I love this series and am dying to read the next!

7. Amazing!!! - I love this book! I wrote a poem!! Nash is a playa, he’ll make you wanna say ya! Xander is dangerously smart, he’ll show you the Rube Goldberg art! Jameson is wild, he’d prefer spicy any day over mild! Grayson has power, from what? We down know! He’ll teach you a lesson, friend or foe!

8. Thrilling, but sometimes missing - Overall, it was a great read. Short chapters. Well designed characters. The twists and turns were always coming. The puzzle fit together well in the end. Still a couple threads left, but I think those were left for the sequel. What was missing was the actual love connections. This isn’t a romance novel, but romance was written in. However, it felt forced and kind of unnecessary at times. The story would have worked without it. I am excited and ready to read the sequel. I definitely recommend the book to anyone wanting a quick and easy mystery novel.

9. Best book EVER - This book really just hit all my favorites in a book. Witty characters, great mystery with lots of questions to be answered, and an ending that leaves me wanting more. I have never had a book that gets all my wants done so perfectly. I haven’t been the same since it ended. Im reading more of Jennifer Lynn Barnes books to hold me down while I wait for the second book to come out on Tuesday.

10. Couldn’t put it down - I started his book on a whim last night before bed around pm. I stayed up until finally at am I told myself I needed to go to bed because momlife ,but I absolutely didn’t want to stop reading. As soon as I woke up this morning I started reading and I am proud to say I finished this book within hours and I cannot wait for book two. It’s so well written and really keeps you guessing the whole way through. Everything wraps up nicely, and I definitely used my highlight feature on Apple Books to help me try and solve the mystery. I’ve never read a “mystery” book before and I absolutely loved this one. I’m hoping to find more great books from this author!

11. Amazing - This book is the most well thought and put together story I have ever read. It is worth the money and the feeling of solving the puzzle at the end and everything making sense is just mind blowing. How the author came up with all of this is beyond me but I am stunned. As much as you try to understand and solve things they always take such a turn and your back to square one! Love it!!!

12. Wow... - Honestly, I bought this expecting it to be just a decent book that held my attention for a day or two. Well it DID only hold my attention for a day or two...because that’s how fast I read it. I needed the answers to this thrilling mystery, and the plot elements in this book are numerous! Fingers crossed we get a sequel!

1. Five stars - This book was so intricately plotted that it had me on my seat literally reading every chapter waiting to see what would happen next it’s an action packed book something new happens in every chapter pippa is a great detective and there’s always something new to find. The story follows pippa in third person and I normally don’t read third person books but this one was fantastic the way the narrator tells the life of pippa and the way she is and the other characters in the book. Overall the writing style was /. The plot is so so good. Roughly it’s about the senior pippa fitz amobi doing her capstone project on the disappearance of Andie bell and her alleged murdered and boyfriend sal singh but pippa doesn’t believe this. When she goes hunting for answers though it seems that someone in town doesn’t want her snooping and digging up answers. It’s thrilling and very entertaining to read highly recommend!!

2. Talk about a page turner - This story had me guessing until the very end but also convinced I knew who it was the whole time. It did an amazing job tying together all of the characters and also providing so much evidence for each one that you think it’s them all at one point or another. The relationship that bloomed between Ravi and Pippa truly made the story special. Her helping him and him helping her. Loved this read and can’t wait for the next in the series!

3. Beautifully written - This book got me out of an insane book slump. I was never bored when reading this book. The author us great. So great. She knows exactly how to keep a reader hooked. When I finished the book I THREW it and just sobbed. It was so perfectly done. I will never forget this book, and am looking forward to the sequel!

4. First of a great series - This book let me on the edge of my seat. Just like the rest. I read all three in days. If only there were more books just like this. Reading a book with a different type of writing style like this is something I’d been dreaming of. Having the narrator and then pips point of view is probably my favorite part

1. Team Jameson or team Grayson? - That’s right. Who’s team r u on? I swear
To god if you say Jameson I will get mad. I am team Grayson all the way. I have been from the start and will be forever. He’s a much better match for Avery and at first Jameson was just using her. He might have kinda stopped but that justifies nothing in my opinion. Please let it be Grayson!!! (Oh yeah this book was absolutely amazing as well. I recommend it for everyone)

2. Amazing! - This book is amazing! I cannot wait to read the Final Gambit!! This book is so, so, soooo good! I’m like , in love with the Hawthorne Boys lol. They’re so cute and sweet! I wrote a poem: Nash is a playa, he’ll make you wanna say ya! Xander is dangerously smart, he’ll show you the Ruth Goldberg art! Jameson is wild, he’d prefer spicy any day over mild! Grayson has power, from what? We don’t know! He’ll teach you a lesson, friend or foe! I The Hawthorne Legacy!!!

3. Hawthorne Legacy - This author has absolutely been my favorite for years. I waited not so patiently to read this newest book and loved it so much. It has everything I love in a book and JLB has such a way of writing that just grabs my attention. Please don’t pass up this authors books. Each and every series is amazing.

1. Okay so…. - I thought it was great! How it all unfolded and wrapped up, loved it! I will always want Avery with Grayson but I get it. He wasn’t fully over what happened with Emily cause he did love her so much and was so raked with guilt. But it makes me wonder if he was able to be okay when they first me would he and Avery have a chance? Or was she always meant to be with Jameson. Jameson was cool and he is good for Avery. I just fell for Grayson first that’s all lol. Now for the mystery itself, I wish I was as smart as these people. I love riddles and puzzles but not as much as Avery and Jameson. I feel that’s another reason why they were good for each other because they both always wanted answers all the time and would never stop even when they found the answers. Okay that’s enough of my rant. I don’t have any other notes. Read it, don’t read it, I don’t really care Happy Reading! :)

1. Great follow up from first! - This sequel was a great follow up. I think it was a little boring in the middle and was starting to get predictable but it truly took a turn at the end. Once Pip was getting a better grip on who took Charlie it turned back into a page turner. I think tying in the Character of Child Brunswick was so smart and kept things exciting. Never saw the ending coming!

2. Good girl, Bad Blasd - Dont care for main character at all. She’s a poor role model for young adult women. Very self centered, does as she thinks best for her purposes, disregards everyone else. First book times better. Prob wont buy next book. Note:I preread these books for my early teen niece. Wouldn’t recommend this book to her because of some of the behavior in the book

3. Great- beyond words! - This book is SUCH an amazing book! It has a little bit of everything- one of the main things I loved about it! The events came very smoothly (respect lol) and wasn’t too unrealistic! This story had great planning and plots, and definitely my favorite series. I feel like A good girls guide to murder (st book in this series) was a bit better, but this book is still great.

4. AGGGTM or GGBB I can’t decide!!! - These books are both so great! I’m not sure which I like better! It’s impossible to decide. They are the best mystery books ever written. This book was wow just wow, everything connected in an unpredictable way. How did Holly come up with it. Wow. Just wow. The characters are amazing and so is the plot. Absolutely. Amazing.

5. Best book I have ever read - This book was absolutely amazing it had so many different twists, turns, and emotions. By the end of the book I was sobbing. At the start all I thought was wow this could be no where as good as the first book but then I really got into the book and it was more than times better than the first on. I have never read a book batter than this one, I HIGHLY Recommend this twisted, sad, and emotional book.

6. Holly Jackson is the truth!!! - There’s just something about Hojay’s (she calls herself that lol) writing that just lures you in and captivates you every time. After reading AGGGTM I was thinking to myself there’s no way there’s enough story to make this interesting for a full length novel. Surely the story would get boring and crash and burn at some point. Boy was I wrong! Not only was the story on the edge of your seat suspenseful, the way she unfolded it to its climax was just simply dazzling. Well thought, even better executed. Holly Jackson is proving herself to be a master at her craft. Can’t wait for third one. Already preordered! Bravo Hojay! Bravo!

1. Just don’t - The over arching plot concepts were engaging…once I figured out what they were. The writing of Pip’s internal
thought process was overwrought and often, literally, hard to follow. I skipped over so many paragraphs (ok, pages) of this book. It literally pained me to finish this. I honestly could not follow some of the narrative here because it was too forcibly trying to convey trauma through hallucinations.

2. Incredible series final book! - As an avid fan and genuine admirer of Miss Holly’s spectacularly unique style of plot design, character development and complex storytelling in her own thrilling and mysterious ways that will convincingly lead you to reaching the end, finally discovering who had done it, why they’d done so and there’s just simply no room for any other alternate plot and YET, she will expertly smash that conclusion into millions of little of pieces when she reveals the true plot, narratively explaining the hows the whys and who is her culprit in which she’s been calculatingly introducing with their complexities, personal traits and quirks that somehow don’t fit into the story’s original plot you’d believed was absolutely the correct, ONLY one particularly compelling evidence for that belief yet just as quick the turn towards the culprit that has now hands down the most awesome!! Some artists are clearly meant to be creating, honing their craft and sharing their talents and gifts with the world. They give us inspiration, impressively motivate our own talents and are wholly responsible for the birth of new generations of high caliber talent such as themselves

3. very disappointed - The other books in this series were very good. But this book unbelievably bad. I almost could not finish it. It made people with mental illness look bad, people with ptsd look bad, police look bad and stupid. This book almost seemed like it was written by an incredibly stupid different person than the first .

4. Pure and utter Genius - Utter genius. I could not put this book down. I’m so sad it’s over, I felt like Pip and Ravi became a part of me. I just want to keep reading about them and their lives forever. Holly Jackson, you are a genius. By far my favorite book series I have read since I was a kid reading Lemony Snicket.

5. As Good as dead - This book may have been one of the best books I have ever read but I do wish that it hadn’t pretty much ended with a cliff hanger but everything else was amazing including the super cute title and the effort and details put into every page of this book Absolutely amazing I highly recommend this book

1. I love this book! - This is such a great book for young adults! It had me hooked from the start; the characters were described in great detail! So many unexpected plot twists and turns; you’ll be guessing until the very very end! This book got me back into reading, and had me on the edge of my seat!

2. GREAT READ - This book is incredible, from start to finish. It was a little hard at first to keep up with who was narrating, but as soon as I got to know the characters, it was easy to follow from there. I loved the story, the twists, the turns. It kept my attention and managed to surprise me many times. It’s definitely a book I would highly recommend!

3. this book got me back into reading - I love One Of Us Is Lying it was so good I loved it I’m now reading one of us is next I hope I like that one too this book just hooked me in and I loved it it took me months to finish but that’s because I was getting back into reading so this was a star read for me

4. IN. LOVE. - I have been wanting to read this for some time now. I had a it in my ‘want to read’ section but got so distracted with life that I completely forgot I had it on there. Then I saw that it was turned into a show on Peacock and that reminded me of it! As soon as I started on the first page and it introduced Bronwyn I knew she was going to be my favorite! I was instantly hooked onto her character and Nate’s. Just their demeanor and personality drew me in. I grew to love Addy and Cooper as well but I immediately connected with ‘Brate’. Yup that’s my ship name for them This book was completely amazing! I was up until :am finishing it because I could not go to sleep if I didn’t find out about start twists that were happening! out of for me!

5. IM A FAN!! The ending was quite shocking though.... - The language got on my nerves a bit but.... it was GREAT! This review might have some big SPOILER ALERTS! If you haven’t read this book, turn away! Did you turn away? I hope so... Anyways, Did Simon have to be stupid? I mean c’mon! Killing yourself is just plain old stupid suicide! And the “thing” with jake and addy, like what?! Anyways it was a great book!

6. It’s…okay. - I got this book when it was first released and was ecstatic to start reading it since I’m a huge fan of TBC and horror…so when seeing the two together I had to read it, right? Well, it starts out pretty strong but sooner or later you realize that this book and it’s plot is utterly predictable. The end sort’ve just leaves you like “that’s it?”. The storyline is dull and it feel pointless to get used to these characters because ( SPOILERS ) they had nothing to do with the murder and all the theories you had for why they could’ve done it just goes straight out the window. Currently at a debate to read the second book.

7. Pretty great. For the most part, I recommend - The storyline was nice, and I absolutely love the character development! I think for somebody who hasn’t read many mystery novels, it’s pretty good. - I know the characters were planned to be this way, but they were a bit stereotypical, especially Bronwyn and Nate. I do love both of their personalities, which made up for it. Bronwyn narrated a bit too much of the book, and I didn’t enjoy her perspective as much as I enjoyed Nate’s and Addy’s. On the other hand, I don’t think any of the other characters would’ve been able to narrate the information the same as how Bronwyn did. I just think Cooper and Addy should’ve narrated a bit too. Along with this, Nate’s character was a bit too negative even though it was a trait of his. I wish he went a bit more in depth to how he felt rather than telling us what was wrong and why he disliked something. Nate’s character was really nice otherwise, and same with the rest. Each character was fun to read about! The other side characters had a really good introduction, which made them like able and also felt to be a part of the book. They somehow all played a big role within a character or two. The plot twist was alright, though when it mentioned that Simon was depressed, I immediately knew who who was charged of committing the crime. When the side character became involved was unexpected though, which is a good thing! Readers love a good plot twist. I especially loved Addy’s character development. Every character acted human, and you can see that with all their mistakes and accomplishments throughout the book. - If you’re looking for a book with action, plot, mystery, and romance, I recommend this novel.

8. Good but unfulfilling - The book in itself was very entertaining, but the plot twist was somewhat predictable and the ending felt lazy and rushed, as if the author just wanted to get it over with. This book is great for those who are new to the suspense genre, but if you read a lot of thrillers, don't bother with this book.

9. wow - I’m not good at writing reviews, but I thought I’d try for this book.
I’m not gonna give you the whole plot, but long story short, this book is AMAZING. Not only is a mystery about what happened to Simon, but you also really get to know the main characters, and by the end I felt as if I was best friends with them. Amazing plot twist at the end, the suit hit really keeps you u going with how it happened, right until the very end. Downloading the sequel right now!

10. Possibly the Best Book I’ve Ever Read - I’m just going to say this honestly- I’ve read this book over ten times now. It’s one of the best books I’ve ever read, and I have a lot of books I’ve loved. Bronwyn, Nate, Addy, and Cooper are all so well written, and you can really see the effort the author put into the book. The twists and turns are all very interesting, and the ending was very satisfying. Even minor characters feel really well done, and I love them all. This was such a cool concept for a book, and as a person who loves murder mysteries, I had a lot of fun reading this. I can’t describe the amount of love I have for this book. Seriously-pick up a copy of this book. You won’t regret it.

11. One of us is lying - Great book! We started a virtual book club and chose I book that was short and with a twist. I also enjoy books who have a catching title and this checked off all of our boxes as a starter book. The book has a feel of the breakfast club with a twist! Nice read for all of the family to enjoy it took me back to my teenage years and things have definitely changed since then lol

12. Riveting! - I am completely blown away by this book! I went in ready for suspense. I was looking for a chance the channel my inner detective, and to try to figure out the mystery before it revealed itself at the end, which I almost failed at! I was completely clueless on who done it, until literally RIGHT before it was revealed!! I was stumped and my suspicions were all over the place and absolutely nowhere all at once. These characters draw you in, and they make you like them so much that you couldn’t possibly imagine them being guilty, yet leave you completely disappointed when you think they might be the big baddy of the story. I won’t reveal a single spoiler for this story, because this book deserves to be experienced. This book has darkness, suspense, mystery, and a touch of romance and heartbreak. Basically—
It. Has. It. All.
Read this book, only, if you want to be completely taken away, and swept up into a world where trust is challenged and suspense proves to be your favorite obstacle!!

13. Honestly not that great - Karen M. McManus’s writing is not that good tbh. In mystery books, or in any books, there’s usually a plot twist or something huge or shocking happens at the end. The ending wasn’t exactly something nobody would’ve ever expected, you know? And the way she wrote it didn’t really even make it like this huge plot twist, she kinda brought it on slowly by having it brought up as an idea that they considered and then confirmed. But even the way it was confirmed wasn’t shocking, it was kinda casual. Honestly, it was a good story, definitely gripping, but she definitely needs to work in her writing.

14. One of Us is Lying - At first, this book from reviews seemed to be more for older readers if you have strict parents. maybe , but I (a year old) read it and I can confidently say it was amazing! There was barely any sexual content other than implied hooking up gossip and a few kisses. The drug aspect of the book did play a big part but it showed how using drugs can affect those around you and helps anyone struggling realizing what they need to consider. The violence was very little. There were a few murderous jokes that might seem cruel or dark to some readers, but didn’t personally scare me. I have anxiety, so sometimes reading mystery books can be hard for me, but believe me when I tell you this book had the perfect balance of thriller, life lessons, humor and romance! I loved it so much and it’s probably one of my favorite books. Definitely recommend to readers !

15. Amazing Book! - I just bought the book this morning and could not put it down until I finished it. There were so many twists and turns in the story; I love how throughout the investigation there were still things happening in each of the characters lives that made you want to know more. I was rooting for Bronwyn and Nate throughout the entire book.

1. Slow start but definitely worth the end result. - This book was a slow start for me but because we are introduced to new characters, it is crucial for those slow introductory chapters. After a few chapters, it starts drawing you in and then really hooks you in. This author really knows how to write and keeps us hooked and wanting more.

2. Enjoyable - Alright, imma be honest here. I didn’t quite fall in love with this one like I did with the first book. I didn’t really feel attached to any of the characters and it didn’t really have the same charm and appeal. I like how it touched on what happened with the relationships of the characters from the first book. It’s a well written book and I enjoyed it a lot but I probably wouldn’t read it again.

3. I absolutely love this book - I absolutely love this book as well as the first one. I love all the drama, and it’s not like regular drama there is just something about this book thats is AMAZING. Also they way the author uses her words and describes the character it’s like a movie. My family said that the book have been really good because I HATE reading but I finished the book and not only that I like it! No not liked it LOVED it!

4. Good not great - It wasn’t as good as the first book. I liked the main characters in One Of Us Is Lying and I also thought it was funnier and more of a murder mystery type of thing. I could barely understand what was going on in this book. We barely hear anything about Addy or Cooper and very few things about Nate and Bronwyn. I’m a little disappointed.

5. Good but still not quite - The book was really awesome, u just might be my favorite murder mystery author, although the book was awesome, i hate the ending- or lack of, in this case- it feels like the story is unfinished, and there is no other book to finish the series. I was hoping for a good ending, and that was really disappointing , the first book was absolutely awesome, but this one, i’m not so sure, i wish i knew it was going to be like that, cuz i wouldn’t have read it what i liked ab the book though, was that there was amazing romance settings, and i was really hoping for more

6. Better than the first one - One of us is next is way better than one of us is lying by a long shot. I found one of us is lying to be predictable and a very underdeveloped plot but the characters were very enjoyable and I could identify with Bronwyn, so that is the only reason I picked up the second book. When I saw that the sequel did not have the same characters than I was disappointed, but still decided to pick up the book. Boy, I am glad that I did. I wizzed through the book and loved the twists and turns of the book. I loved the character Maeve (Bronwyn’s sister), and found her to be a hero and a great character. The point is if you have read the first book and did not enjoy it than you still still pick up this one.

7. Unexpected and Suspenseful - I love this series a lot and I really hope there could be a third book. I finish the sequel in days because I just could not stop thinking about the story and this book. It is so suspenseful and keeps you so interested. This author is truly my favorite murder mystery author ever, her writing style and imagination to how the story spreads out and is depicted is incredible. The twists in this book made my jaw drop and never in a million years would I ever have guessed what happened in the end. Plus, I am a romance fanatic and this book a quite some romance scenes that made me fangirl and squeal as it has quite the humor. A book for a good laugh that keeps you on the edge of your feet. Bravo!

8. Pretty good - I loved this concept, and I was really excited to see what happened next with the characters from book one. This story takes place months later, and it circles around The sister of of the characters from the first book. It does mention the characters from book one, but only in passing. Enough to satisfy your curiosity, and that’s it. Here’s what I loved:
I loved the characters. They were just as great as the ones that came before them.
I loved the plot. What says suspense like forcing a bunch of teenagers to play truth or dare, where dare was the only way to save themselves from social suicide. I loved the romantic elements. If you like that moment when two characters realize they liked each other, or when two people finally get out of their way to “give it a try”, then you get that times two.
I liked the emotion. There’s betrayal, and grief, sadness, and anger. Revenge is plotted, and people struggle to get past, or escape situations that seem impossible. This book is absolutely mysterious and suspenseful.
What I didn’t like:
I didn’t like that the main characters where treated as an after thought. I wanted a little more, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. As I said before, curiosity was fed.
I didn’t like how a huge twist happens at the end, as the story was wrapping up. It doesn’t exactly come to a close. It just stops. I feel like this book was just never finished. THERE IS NO ENDING!! If it were a cliffhanger I could accept that, but I don’t know if it is. The book doesn’t have a conclusion, and it frustrates the hell out of me.
Overall—
I liked it enough, but not enough to love it. I feel like the ending, or lack there of, kind of ruined it for me. This disappoints me, because I was really enjoying it, until that point. If there ends up being another book, or a bonus epilogue, I would consider revisiting my point, but as of know, and as is, this book was good, until it was just okay. I slightly regret not stopping at the first book, even though most of this book really was pretty great.

9. Not as good as the first but still good - I was a little disappointed that the main charactors from the last book weren’t in this very much, Cooper is basically just mentioned and had only a couple lines. The mystery is fine but nowhere as interesting as the first book. Finally, the ending seems abrupt and even though they act like everything will be fine it didn’t really feel like that’s how it would be

10. LOVED IT!!!! - This book was really good! I’ve read one of us is lying last year and when a friend told me to read can keep a secret, this book popped up and I was so excited to read it because I LOVED one of us is lying! This book took a little longer to get suspenseful, but once it did it was GREAT! Read more than half the book in one night! Downloaded the book Saturday morning and finished it by Monday morning! Karen is an amazing author and I look forward to reading can keep a secret (downloading now )

1. i’m an emotional wreck - Kerri has never once failed to amaze me. As soon as i read the opening chapter of stalking jack the ripper i wholly fell in love with her style and strength as a writer. This book, once again, was enticing and captivating. The point of view of Thomas fit with his personality and traits as a character. It gave us a deeper understanding to the battle he was personally struggling with and an insight to how is mind works. Absolutely brilliant.

1. WOW - This was incredible and impossible to put down. I read it in less than a day all while balancing a hundred things to do. This book was amazing! I love Michael. I love Cassie and the fact that she’s not a cliche character like in all the other books I read. Overall this book was amazing and the twist at the end has me speechless. I’ve read a lot of hyped murder mystery books and I was disappointed when the ending didn’t blow my mind. This one % delivered.

1. Such and amazing story! - I chose to read this book for a book review assignment, and I am so glad I did. The characters and community in this book feel so real. It’s such a great example of so many of the struggles Native communities still face today that go unseen. I loved getting to know these characters and I felt the crushing moments all the moser because of it. Such an amazing book, and a story I cannot wait to share with my friends!

2. Incredible - Stellar! This book made me feel so much. So thankful for the mix of English and the indigenous language. Beautifully written, wonderfully reflective, layered beyond belief, and full of stories and truths that we need to explore more regarding how indigenous women are considered, valued, & treated.

3. Strong YA Debut! - Firekeeper’s Daughter not only has a beautiful cover, it has a rich depiction of a northern Michigan tribal community and the struggles it faces. The story centers around a bi-racial Native American women who finds herself assisting the FBI with a string of drug-related deaths in her Ojibwe reservation. This fictional tale is rich in culture, history and the language of the tribe living in Sault St. Marie on the border of the United States and Canada. What unravels is a mystery shaped in grief, drugs, sexual assault, racism and a host of other corruptions. The Firekeeper’s Daughter is an intense, complex book spoken in an authentic voice. I found the twists this book took engrossing. But I also found the adult themes incredibly heavy for a YA book.

1. Great quick read - This book was very gripping. From the beginning we are thrust into a mysterious circumstance and just constantly want to know what is going to happen next. The end had so much potential but I think it fell flat in how it came together. But overall, I’d say this is a solid book. I enjoyed so many parts and all the interactions of the characters.

1. A must-read series! - I just finished reading the Mara Dyer trilogy, and needless to say, this is one of those books that you can read again and again. When I first picked this up, I really didn't know what I was getting myself into. It's a good mix between thriller, romance, and mystery. I hope to see more from this author soon. Just a heads up; this is not a PG book if you know what I mean . They do talk about sex. This is one of the best I've read so far. If you liked this book I HIGHLY suggest the Lux Series by Jennifer Armentrout, the Thrist series by Christopher Pike, or the Vampire Diaries Series.

2. Perfect - The perfect ending to the perfect trilogy with the perfect characters written by the perfect author. Mara is perfectly terrifying, Noah is perfectly perfect, Jamie is perfectly hilarious, Daniel is perfectly brilliant. The full circle the books created both blew my mind and took my breath away. How beautiful it was to read the last line of the final book, only to realize it is the beginning of the first book. Once again, perfect. As I read the final page of the epilogue, I felt a part of myself die, and a week later I'm still completely in mourning. Mara and Noah and their whole world have been the subject of my most obsessive thoughts for so long, I'm not quite sure what to do with myself anymore. I've reread my favorite parts of the trilogy every day and each time find some new detail that takes my breath away. This masterpiece was born from the mind of the brilliant Michelle Hodkin. There are no words that can accurately describe my feelings toward Michelle. I want to be her, I want to meet her, I want to learn everything she knows, and sometimes I want to scream in her face to give Mara a freaking break. Michelle has single handedly broken my heart only to sew it back together then break it again, over and over and over. She's created a world I'm dying to understand, yet crave the mystery of. I would follow her writing to the end of the Earth, no matter where it led me. A writer this brilliant deserves so much more recognition and praise than she's getting. There is nothing about the Mara Dyer trilogy that is not perfect, except for the fact that it's over.

3. Amazing - The whole series is genius! Thank you Michelle for the great read, complex characters, and haunting thoughts. While I certainly could not predict the end of the book, it seemed a little weak. Too many ends were tied and I think I actually hate Mara now (reasons undisclosed for the sake of the novel). At some points, the book was a little too obvious in pointing out observations that readers could have picked out and relied on later; in that sense, the book was not as satisfying as it could have been. The suspense in the other Mara Dyer books was much greater. All in all though, it was a succinct ending with the typical happy feels most readers look forward to. You will not regret reading this! / for the series; truly original.

1. Good book! Spoilers ahead!!! - I love that it’s in different peoples perspectives. I wish there was more detail how they got out besides her waking up in the hospital, I wish roses story ended without seeming cut short, and she repeats herself CONSTANTLY about her boyfriend and it got boring. Overall though I think it was a very thrilling story

2. GREAT BOOK - I LOVES THIS BOOK!! I ALMKST WANTED TO JUST SKIP TO THE ENDING I WAS ON EDGE READING IT !!! It was sooooo goood & I NEVER got bored! It was straight to the point! Literally you have the point of view from the kidnapped, the kidnappers & the family’s of the kidnapped. It’s a great read! I pulled an all-nighter with this one

3. Amazing book but... - Amazing book I loved the story and just everything except for the ending... I really hated how she ended it it kind of ruined it for me! But I get it she wanted to make it surprising and that makes sense but I really didn’t like it... not the best of her books but definitely a good one! If you like her books I recommend the cabin which is my favorite or you will be mine or awake or the twin or any of them!! I’ve read all her books and they’re all great!

4. Pretty good - It was overall great, finished it in less than a week and I usually hate reading so this really was a good book. However, the ending was a bit abrupt. I'd love if there was a sequel to this story, it felt like it left the plot on a little cliffhanger. We'll never know what happened to Clover, if the girls were ever okay again, etc. Still a good read & would recommend.

5. Absolutely amazing - I have read the lost by Natasha Preston and love the storyline but was disappointed with the ending. My little sister had read this in when it came out and she told me it was great. I was a little nervous and skeptical because I was anticipating another cliffhanger ending but this book really delivered. The entire book was suspenseful the entire way through, to the point where you did not want to put it down. The ending was perfect even though I could not help but wish death upon Clover. Either way if you like high thriller and wishful thinking endings you’ll love this book. Highly recommended!!!!

6. I cried but no closure - I couldn’t put the book down, it was twist after twist. I was kinda expecting the kidnapper’s profile to be like one off of criminal minds, and was disappointed it wasn’t, but still like how the story would subtly reveal his backstory and motives.
No spoilers, but the ending made me cry. However, I feel like there wasn’t enough closure for the main characters I read the last sentence thinking “That’s it?”
it just ends on a “no need for recovery, they’re all good even though they all have major trauma from this whole experience” I still like the book, it was just the ending I didn’t like
2019-06-18
7. In love with this Authors Narration. - Gripping!!! I’ve come to love Preston’s books! I own the Silence series, The Cellar, Awake and the Cabin. I’ve yet to read Awake and the Cabin but read the other in a week and a half. I’m a huge fan and plan on reading and adding all her books to my paperback collection.

1. Amazing - Usually I don't write book reviews, but this book was so good, I had to. It's a nail biting adventure where everything seems to go wrong for Scarlett. I finished it the day I bought it, not stopping to use the bathroom, or get a drink of water. This book made m the world seem like the world was so much less important than this book.
2018-12-01
2. Okay... - I loved the characters...however the novel had a ton of grammatical errors & she was a bit confusing throughout the book in terms of the age of the characters. For example, on page of the book Scarlett states that she's ...and then later on they refer to her as ! Also she claims she couldn't remember after the age of years old and years passed by...wouldn't that make her years old!?? Ugh she needs to re-read her novel & fix the mistakes....especially if she's charging readers bucks!

1. Stereotypical - stars for rest of series but this book was a disappointment with its stereotypical references (i.e. Fairy tale wedding, princess and the wedding dress makes the marriage) and dangerous and juvenile behavior (ill pretend date you to make him/her jealous). You started off with an independent smart role model for young woman and reduced her character to a scraping, servile, “playing games with men so he will love me” immature girl typical of the s. Oh. And she saves the world. Really could have elevated her character to a much higher level.

2. I can’t right now - The ending of the Phoenix has been keeping me up all night and it’s nearly am. Lorenzo’s confession at the end gutted me and leaves me wanting know which of the many theories I have may be right. Cause dang it if Huntley can’t have even one good thing in her life. But I digress, I have to say I absolutely love these books and the twists and turns they take- but boy oh boy am I struggling with waiting for the next book.

3. Queen of Cliffhangers! - In true Jillian fashion she has dropped huge bombs on us and we have to wait for the next installment. If you get angry at cliffhangers then I'd wait this series out because Jillian knows how to leave her readers hanging. It's a bit difficult to write reviews for these books because there is so much going on with not only the missions but with the personal lives of the characters. I never want to give anything away and that would be inevitable if I wrote more than a few lines. These are fun books and I love how Jillian dives into the world of money and prestige and digs up secrets no one wants revealed. There is a lot still to figure out with this series and you know I'm here until the end.

4. This series is a must read!! - Jillian- how could you do this to us!! Hurry up with the next one! The ending to Phoenix will leave you wanting more. As someone who doesn’t review very often, I felt that everyone needs to know that this series is a must read. Each book is just as good as the first. It’s not a series that moves on to a new couple/situation with each book but keeps the story flowing though out them all. I love it!! Jillian is a great author in not only this series but her other books as well.

5. Wow WOW wow - Oh my, no words to describe this one..... I can only say the way the Author has wrote this is by far the most gripping an epic journey. I never want this to end. I have cried I have felt the love an joy, the suspense an discovery has gripped my soul. I dream of seeing it in film or in a series it’s that good.

6. “What did I just read?!” Stars - JESUS, Jillian Dodd! You just gave me a heart attack! This series. I cant even begin to explain how awesome this series is and how different it is from anything I have read! Jillian has made her own world, that is so much like this world and SO thought out and crazy! The things she has come up with, the riddles, the puzzles, the clues, the outcomes, I just cant put it into words!! This book pulled together so many questions, but left SO MANY more that need to be answered. I dont event know where to begin... AND THAT ENDING! SHUT.UP! I cant even begin to describe the emotions and feelings I had when the book ended. There was not one cliffhanger y'all... there was TWO! Two cliffhangers, I cant even! If you havent read this series yet, you need to pick it up! The series wraps up with the last book coming out later this year! Jillian Dodd you are pure genius and I love diving into your worlds you build!

7. The Phoenix - The Phoenix book in the suspenseful thrilling Spy Girl series. The story starts off answering so many questions you have had. It’s full of so many shocking things it will leave you with your mouth hanging open. The characters are so realistic you feel as if you are apart of the story. You are constantly trying to figure out what’s going to happen next. The story is so good you won’t want to put it down till you’re finished and then you are asking for more. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

8. On the edge - The Phoenix has to be the most intense book to date that I’ve been reading. With everything on the line and time line trust is important. I feel for Huntley and Lorenzo both have the weight of having to stop the unknown. I was impressed as always with the amount of research put into this book. You feel for all of these characters with the secrets and world on their shoulders. Just amazing

1. A thrilling ride!! - Holly is undoubtedly my favorite author I’ve discovered this year. I’d first come across her The Good Girl’s Guide To Murder series and I read the books back to back, all of them in one sitting and had nearly a full hour binge on the series and the books. Her clever and incredibly complex, dynamic and endearing protagonist Pip from the series, along with each and every character she implements into her writing have such genuine and authentic qualities, reactions, emotions and interactions with others that they very easily and often quickly become embedded in your heart. Long after I’d finished those first books, I had wondered about Pip, her family, her friends and like all inspiring characters/humans, I’d wished she’d somehow return to me in the same way as she’d become enmeshed into my thoughts and while her life and story were fictional, there was still a very strong connection between herself and my heart. This is a quality that only those of the highest caliber of creative authors can achieve. It’s even rarer that they’re able to achieve these same results with an entirely different protagonist, plot, story and narrative. Yet, somehow, the ever talented and widely intelligent and exceptionally creative writer, Holly can and HAS done this in her latest book, FIVE SURVIVE. Her compelling, thrilling and edge of your seat with anticipation tone in all of her mysterious, dangerous and cleverly crafted stories that are best at leading the reader to the conclusion, dropping hints, subtly mentioning connections that can only be described as the answer to the “who done it” questions that arise from the very outset. What sets this author far and away from other thriller, mystery genre writers is her extraordinary ability to twist, entirely change the whole plot to the opposite, unthinkable direction that has incredibly also left a trail, subtle answers yet until she’s brought you to the conclusion you’re unable to see them hidden there in plain sight beside the other hints and leads that misled you to believe, with conviction that it was another character entirely. This ability alone is beyond brilliant, it’s done differently and quite simply more expertly with each new story, plot and complex characters she imagines, beautifully crafts in has written jewels of books and thankfully shared them with her readers. I for one, may be her biggest and most impressed fan she’s got. Keep writing, Miss Holly. Reading has always been my happy place, my preferred way to spend the day and most pleasurable time spent. Reading YOUR books has amplified my ferocious love for books and the craft of writing, the passion for vocabulary, the placement of each word and wordsmiths unique influences on my own life and collective years of written paragraphs, pages of my own style that is lent an essential dose of creativity and imagination. It is through brilliant and innovative ideas that stories can become the inspirational aspects of so many bibliophiles and linguists such as myself.

1. Worth It! - I’d ordered this book, not knowing whether I’d like it or not. At first, I thought it would be about some 'basic’ girl who just has to deal with a mystery. But no. I’d read One of us Is Lying about three months ago, and I loved it. But I loved this more! The plot twist was unpredictable, but fit in well! The only thing I found unnecessary was Ellery’s and Ezra’s half sibling(s). It did go with Sadies personality quite well though. The friendships and romances didn’t feel rushed at all and weren’t a distraction from the plot. I loved each and every character and once I got to the near end, I couldn’t stop reading! This is by far one of the most awesome books I’ve read! (Spoiler down below) - Update: I also really appreciate that the author put in some sort of teaching, mainly for Ellery. She was too determined and thought she could solve a mystery as big as that, rather than the policemen. So, when she realized that she could trust the cops to do their job at the end, it let her know she could count on them and that she also didn’t have to worry as much about future problems.

2. Disappointing - I was really disappointed in the way this book ended. I absolutely love One of Us is Lying and there were plot holes and loose ends that weren’t tied up; in fact I specifically remember when the police were talking to Malcolm at the end, the author left details out because the police couldn’t disclose information? Idk, I just really expected something more.

3. Great book - I loved this book, it was so suspenseful and had me completely hooked. I also loved how there was a little bit of romance but it didn’t overtake the whole story. The reason I gave it a four was because I think the author could’ve done a better job with a more consistent plot buildup. It kind of felt like there were a couple climaxes rather than a very bold singular one. Overall though, great book! I couldn’t put it down:)

4. Perfect - This book is the best book I have ever read, and that’s saying a lot. This book has pages and I finished the entire book in days The ending was amazing. I’m not lying when I say this but when I finished the book I wanted to cry because I didn’t want it to be over, but I was also excited to check out more books by the author. Because this was the first book I have read by this author. But this book is freaking amazing and PERFECT I recommend this book with all my heart and if you do get it I dare you to not finish it in a day. out of from me and I know you will say the same!!

2. Killer - This book was so addicting to read and it kept you wanting to read more. Not every chapter was super exciting but you get through that. The end of the book is where you will read the last pages all at once because you want to figure everything out. Love the book and can't wait to read the next one.

3. Best Book Of The Series Yet!! - This book is definitely a must of the series but its a cliffhanger for the next one!! Once u have read the first, you can't stop!! 1. Finished in one day - I normally don’t go for these type of books, but I enjoyed Cale’s writing in “If This Gets Out” so I took a chance and I am glad I did! I couldn’t bring myself to stop reading it because I wanted to know the answer to who was the killer. I enjoyed the twists and turns so much in this book. I did not see the main twist coming, and it was clear completely believable. The ending was perfect for this book. I’m already looking forward to his next book.

1. Rat Life - This book is really good. Since this book takes place in my home town, I can recognize all of the land marks. With this book, the old rule of "don't judge a book by its title" really applies. I am in seventh grade and my English teacher assigned this book as our next reading assignment. I thought oh great another really boring book. I have read some really boring books in my life and the last one we had was a dread. I didn't even finish it it was so boring. Rat Life came to me as a real surprise since my English teacher is known for handing out boring books. This book is something that actually seemed real. This is about a boy a little older than me and he actually seems like any other kid. It's sometimes it is hard to find a book that you can really relate to, but Rat Life seems so real. This boy seems so realistic in his feelings and thoughts that you might almost think this was a biography on him or something. Rat on the other hand is what I like to call a hard character. Meaning that it is hard to get to know him really well. To find out about his past and his real name for instance. Todd at first does not like Rat, but after Todd starts working with him, they become what some call friends. But this is no normal friendship. This friendship is different, even thought all friendships are unique, is one is odd.Rat never really let's Todd inside of him, meaning telling him about his feelings and thoughts. But everyone eventually breaks and starts gushing out information about themselves to anyone who would listen. Rat does and finally let's Todd know how it felt to be in I defiantly recommend this book to teens and young adults! Rat Life is is now on my Top List!!!

1. Fantastic - I love these characters and the world Stroud created. I found them through the Netflix tv series, which I also love. It’s been a long time since I stayed up all night reading but I could not put the books down. I’m now rereading them all to pick up details that I missed. I would love to see how the characters evolve. Mr. Stroud, please continue the series.

1. Grab your Tissues! - Definitely a Tear dropper!! It states its targeted for young people but its a really good read for an older crowd in my opinion. Its a pretty dark and tragic story. Yes its based off middle/high school children, but it does have some strong languages and scenes that may not be specifically for a child of middle school age group. This takes nothing from the Author Tiffany this book was wonderfully written. There wasn’t a dull moment look the built up of events and flash backs & forth.

2. Thank you - I knew based upon reading the title that she had been murdered. I appreciate that the entire book is a message to little black girls that someone is looking for you always. Someone cares. It does get confusing keeping up with the past and present, but the tenses usually clear that up along with other clues. The descriptions and poetry in between were also appreciated. I felt that this book wasn’t necessarily for amusement, but to pass along a message and it did that very well.

3. Good book! - I loved this book. I also read the other comments before I started reading and thought I wouldn’t like it that much but it’s a very good book. At some point in the story it does get confusing about what’s the past and the present but if you really pay attention to the word choices you can keep up. I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone who like mysteries.

4. Writing wasn’t perfect but it was a good book - It is a good book that has a good story, however I felt the writing could’ve been better. The before and before the before and the after it was all just too much and was very confusing at times. It does start off rather slow, but I am glad that I finished it because I really did enjoy the story. I will definitely read another book from this author,

5. Ehhh.. - This book was definitely a suspense/mystery story, but in my opinion, it wasn’t written well at all. It was so predictable and it was dumbed-down A LOT and there really wasn’t a buildup in plot, I kinda felt like it just kept dragging on and on. Plus, the switching in time was super confusing to me and definitely could’ve been clearer. Definitely a powerful story but it absolutely could’ve been written better. Wouldn’t really recommend if you want a well-written book.

6. eh - the best part of a book like this is that you have no idea what could have happened, but for THIS book, it’s like you knew the entire time. it was very slow. however, i really do like the issues it spoke upon - being a missing black child, and no one really noticing is exactly what happens in the world today. definitely needs to be talked about more.

7. Best book I have ever read!!! - I loved it. The story was amazing especially with that punch in the gut twist at the end. I have no complaint with this book at all. The story was absolutely amazing and I couldn’t put the book down. Little backstory, it took me a week to get my hands on the book and it took me weeks to actually start reading the book. I ended up using all of my free time to read the book and it was % worth it. All I wish is that there can either be a sequel or have this book made into a movie.

8. WORTH IT!! - I'm not going to lie. The beginning was slow...or rather steady was a better word. Though, I loved the protagonist from the beginning the jumping back and forth and "forther" was confusing for me. I found myself questioning a lot about this book but once it got to the place where all was revealed IT. WAS. WORTH. IT!! This book is a journey well-worth taking! I'm definitely going to look into some of her other works! Also, she's an HBCU head so we HAVE TO STAN!

9. I was hooked from the very beginning! - I cannot begin to explain how amazing this book is! It captivates you and draws you in from the very beginning! I was glued to the book, eagerly anticipating what would happen next! I think this might be my favorite book to date. I hate that things like this really go on and are some people’s reality. But I’m also glad that she’s bringing awareness to real life issues! I got attached to all of the characters and I truly hate that I’m done reading it. Thanks for this awesome story and allowing us to get a glimpse of what some would like to push to the side in an attempt to act like it doesn’t happen. Job well done.

10. We matter - I absolutely love this book. Personally, I never had a love for reading; however, I’m glad I gave this book a try. So eager to go into details yet not wanting to spoil it for those who base their decisions off one’s reviews, all I have to say is read it with a clear mind and the book will take you on one wild story. Filled with messages crafted and molded into some of our childhoods memories… man I truly enjoyed this book, much thanks to the author amazing work!

11. A true page turner. MUST READ - Years of college and assignment after assignment paper after paper has really drained my love of reading, but man am I glad I found ‘Monday’s Not Coming’, because it has reignited that love I have for reading. When I tell you haven’t read a book cover to cover in years you’ll have to believe every me, but this I couldn’t put it down and finished in a little over a day! I’m so sad to have come to the end of this book and yet so happy. It’s a truly amazing story and worthy of a spot in your collection. Once you get to the end of the sample you won’t be able to put it down until you reach the end of the book. This is the first of Tiffany Jackson’s work I have read but I am excited to see what this amazing writer will put out next! Thanks Tiffany for such an amazing book and reigniting my love of reading with such a passion.

1. Best Book Ever - This book is amazing. It has so many twists and turns and you never know what will happen next. The characters are so special in this book and at the end everything all comes together. I very much hope Harlan Coben will come out with a third book and since I personally know him, I'll try to convince him.

2. Fantastic read - I love the Myron Bolitar books, but there is something so enjoyable about the Mickey series that, if I had to choose, I'd read the young adult stories. Maybe it's the reduced violence, or maybe it's my own aging appreciation for youth. This book wasn't written for my demographic (older than dirt), but that doesn't matter.
Seconds Away is a great read. My only regret is that I read it too fast.

1. GREAT read! - I am most certainly no young adult, I've read hundreds of books, including most of Harlan Coben's. This, I can easily say, is one of my all time favorites. The only thing wrong with it is that it ended far too soon. I have so many questions, and not from the usual holes in the plot. I want to know more about supporting characters. I want to know their stories. I guess that's for future stories and one can only hope for whole books about them I wanted Myron to be more involved, but then, this was Mickey's story. Not just for young adults, but by all means, suitable.

2. Love it - Read this on a whim last fall, was thrilled to discover the Myron and Win duo. I read the entire series in the last year and then did a re-read of Shelter. I would love to see more of Myron and Win but can see that the torch has been passed to Mickey, Spoon and Ema. So looking forward to the next release.

3. Great story and set up, but way too short - For pages I was hooked, then it just ended, you could have delivered so much more for the money, I felt a little cheated and it's my th Harlan Coben read this summer.
There could have easily been another to more pages of this story easy. I remain hopeful for the next one.

4. Great read! - I know this book is intended for a young adult audience, but I thoroughly enjoyed it...and I am just about as far from a "young adult" as you can get. A gripping tale that doesn't leave many places to run to the fridge or get a full night's sleep - couldn't put it down. Looking forward to the obvious next episode. Was waiting for Win to come and save the day, but Micky develops his own resources. Ema was a delight, I am casting the movie in my head....it would be a big hit I think.

1. Amazing!!!!!!! - These are the most amazing books I have ever read! I just finished the first book and can't wait to start the second. They are entertaining and fun to read and I'm not even a big reader. Actually I hate reading but I love reading these books! It keeps me on the edge of my seat. When I fairy started reading it I couldn't put it down. It was so mysterious and I had so many questions that I wanted answers to so I had to continue reading. I still have many question like, who is A and who killed Ali? If you haven't read this series yet then you need to, like ASAP!

3. Amazing book - Absolutely amazing book. The whole series keeps you on your toes. This is one of those books that you read till two in the morning, and when you do you will check over you shoulder more than once. You think someones hiding under you bed, in your closet, behind your door, you feel scared. It's unbelievably well written. When you read the whole series, and then go and read it again, you try and put the clues together and you can't. I have no idea how Shepard wrote this. Maybe she just learned what happened with the audience, maybe she had no plan, maybe it just all falls together in the end. I couldn't find anything wrong with this book. Shepard included every little detail in her fictitious characters ever-so corrupt lives. Amazing. Stunning. Flawless. Pretty Little Liars is undeniably the most mysterious series ever. I can't wait to see what else this author will make. It's sure to be brilliant.

4. Good series - I think this series is excellent. The story is well crafted. There is enough drama and intrigue to keep you wanting to read without a break. However, it is certainly a story parents should be careful of letting their daughters read. It glamorizes dangerous behaviors. Despite that, you will certainly be entertained.

1. Phenomenal, My New Favorite Book. - This was my first time really engaging in a thriller and my goodness was it worth it. This fast paced thriller keeps you enticed until the very last page. I read this in one day because it was so good that I couldn’t bare to put it down. With a smidge of stalking/yandere love; it was so very good. / would recommend and it is my current favorite book. If you’re thinking about purchasing this book; do it. I guarantee you won’t regret it.

1. Oh. My. Goodness! - Let me just start by saying that my plan today was to clean my house- not read an ENTIRE book! I read some of the other reviews and let’s just say I don’t think the people that have the and star ratings even read the book! Huntley is back in full BA force from beginning to end of this book. The twists and turns have you thinking you may know what going to happen only to realize you’re completely wrong. I love getting to know more about some of the other characters in this book- especially Peter. And the twist at the end- WOW!!! My jaw literally dropped! I’m going to be impatiently waiting for the next book!

2. Keeps getting better! - Amazing!!! What more can I say?! Well let me start of with Huntley! I just love her kickass attitude and perseverance! This book throws more twist and turns at her. I love Lorenzo!! He says and does some things that make my heart melt! I just hope he doesn’t break my heart I mean Huntley’s heart The Dauntless picks up right where the Valiant left off. Talk about that cliffhanger that you finally get to read. Things keep getting thrown at Huntley about her past and her missions and this just keeps getting more intriguing! This series just keeps on getting better and better. Jillian never ceases to amaze me because just when I think she can’t make the story better she does! Now I’m just patiently waiting for the next book!

3. I couldn’t put it down... - The details of the this series is amazing!!!! You really feel like you see what Huntley sees and feels along with getting caught up in solving the mission. This is definitely a series for someone that loves investigating, puzzle solving and mysteries. After reading The Valiant, I reread all the books and started a list of the all the characters we meet and how they are connected. I feel like Huntley, trying to pull all the pieces together, figure out who the players are and what’s going to happen. It’s definitely going to be hard waiting for The Phoenix!

4. Holy MOLY!! - And just like that....we’ve been completely thrown again. Wow. Wow. Wow. I don’t really know if I can even say anything. This installment of the series is not only crazy intense, it’s a page turner. It’s full of emotions, but also suspense. I’m blown away. But then again, I’m always quite blown away by the stories JD writes. She is brilliant. The Dauntless KILLED it. IMO this is the BEST book of the series, yet. I didn't know what to expect with this series, but I am so in love with it. Huntley is such a BA, and the lengths she goes to get to the bottom of everything makes me love her so so much. She is fighter, but she is also a lover. Her growth from The Prince to The Dauntless, is HUGE. With each book her tenacity grows more and more. She does not give up, even when she gets knocked down (and we know that happens A LOT). If you’ve been waiting on pins and needles for this release, you should know it will keep you on your toes. It’s a brilliant masterpiece. Each page leaves you wanting more. It leaves you constantly guessing and then second guessing yourself. I love the twists and turns, but I also feel like Author Jillian Dodd leaves us little Easter Eggs too. Which means you need to go through each of these books with a fine toothed comb, to catch all of the little surprises she leaves us. Gosh, I love this series so much.

5. Must Read! - Wow!! I don’t even know where to start. The story is so captivating and once you start reading you will not be able to put it down. I literally read during my lunch break instead of eating. This book has the right balance between romance and action. Just when you think you have it figure out! Boom!! Curveball! I can’t wait to find out what happens next! I have to say I absolutely love the storyline between Huntley and Lorenzo!

6. Amazing - I seriously wish there was a way I could get my hands on the next book. I love this series so much. I finished this book in less than hours, and am thoroughly impressed yet again. Jillian Dodd is an incredible author, and I would highly recommend all of her pieces. When you are done reading this serious read The Keatyn Chronicles if you haven’t already.

7. Holy Cow - What an Ending - I’ve been a big fan of this series and this book left me breathless and wanting - no need- more. I’m trying to find words to describe this book without spoiling anything. Huntley is on a new mission and it’s not a typical one. I’ll just leave it at that. This latest installment will definitely not disappoint!

8. Trust No One! - Eeeekkk so excited to finally read this book! Jillian has created the best spy series. I felt like I was there with Huntley trying to figure out what’s going to happen and looking for clues. Trying to figure out who to trust is mind boggling so I’m just going with no one! The ending of this book was so awesome and I was so excited and happy! I can’t wait to see how it all ends and to finally figure out who’s in charge!

9. The Dauntless - This is book in The Spy Girl series. Must be read in order to fully enjoy the story. This story picks up where book ends which will have you in tears but as days go by you see that things happen for a reason and she needed this time for discovery and to work things out. Along the way she grows as a person and you learn more of the mystery of her past. Jillian takes you on another suspenseful ride and leaves you guessing along the way to a shocking surprise ending. I so can’t wait for the next book.

10. MIND BLOWN!!! - Jillian did extensive research to make this series undeniably real. Huntley a girl who is smart as whip, fast as a horse and as stylish as any celebrity with good taste. We see more of certain characters personalities come through and some who we knew but now love as they’ve grown. Said “trust no one,” but what does a girl do when it just gets to much and is running out of time She learns to play like the men. The characters from the beginning start to come more to life and friendships are evolving, but how much longer can she keep up the act with her new friends? It’s amazing to be able to slip into something extraordinarily written. sooo many of the theories I’ve been thinking this entire series has come to light! Another cliffhanger duh, but SO worth it.
