1. The true side of hockey - To truly understand the game of hockey you need to experience all aspects of the game it's self. If their we're no owners there would be no arenas, if there were no referees there would be no stability of the game, and if there were no players there would never be on greatest sports on earth that we all love! Kerry Fraser is considered and rightfully so the greatest referee the NHL has had in its many early. The way he called the game and the way he gain respect of his fellow referees and players he would work beside. You always read about some of the best players of their respected sports and their accounts about their experience playing the kids game but rarely do you ever read a book accounting the different events through a referees career. Fraser hit the nail on the head with this book. Especially being a fan of the game my whole life it was interesting to hear the different perspective of how the game was seen through what sometimes you believe to be your worst enemy and sometimes your best friend at the games a referee! Growing up I was able to see Kerry Fraser referee s bunch of games at the meadowlands and the prudential center and I can speak for all the fans and tell you that we miss you . If you truly love the game of hockey and want to hear a different perspective on the game then this is the perfect book to read! And to Mr. Fraser if you ever read this review of your book I just want to personally thank you for all that you have done for the game that I love with all of my heart! 2. Great insight of the NHL - This book is full of personal stories that give wonderful insight to the game of hockey. It is not just about the stories with famous NHL players; it is also about the professional development of a top class referee. Kerry clearly loves the game and wants it to be the best experience for all involved. He managed the games with great poise and respect. His officiating style was second to none.

1. Great book for any hockey fan! - As a sister of a hockey player, I've spent most of my youth at hockey tournaments or practice. Thus, I fell in love with the sport! I truly appreciate hockey and all parties involved in the sport. This book is a very easy and quick read. It can definitely be finished at the rink during a tournament.

1. Greg is the best. - I enjoy Greg's writing on Yahoo. I love his podcast with Jeff Marek. This book is no different from his other works. It's like a mix between a coaching book and hockey for dummies. It covers everything hockey, but does so in a fun way. Timely jokes and references keeps the reading light, while at the same time the stories and information keep the reader interested. If you enjoy hockey, no matter novice or seasoned fanatic, you should check out this book.

1. Wow! Great read for old and young - This was a great read! I raced as a Jr. and now that my kids are learning to ski, I wanted to get caught up on ski racing. This book was fun to read, the author really brought out the excitement of racing. So much so, I signed up to race masters. And yes I raced my first slalom in yrs the other day. Best part, my kids loved seeing there dad in the gates. Amazing how a book can get you pumped up and excited. Thanks.

2. A Great for Any Hockey Fan - This is a great read. It chronicles an incredible hockey career but also helps unpack what made Scotty so incredible. There's arguably no hockey personality more interwoven into the fabric of hockey in the past years than Scotty Bowman. He was around the greatest players, coached some of the greatest teams and is the greatest coach of all time.

2. Best Hockey Book Available - This is probably the most generally informative hockey book available that all hockey fans should read. Normally informative would infer a lack of entertainment to the average person, but this book is also a very enjoyable read. An example would be a textbook. That is a very informative book that isn't written in an entertaining or enthralling manner. Stat Shot is the best of both worlds. It is a very compelling read while also being able to teach new things to someone like myself who has their own analytics website and is already very knowledgeable on the subject matter.
