1. Beautiful - A beautifully written, captivating tale of love, war and fate. It is rare when a book’s writing is equally as beautiful as the story told. The descriptions of the characters and places are nothing short of exquisite. The emotional and motivational depth of each character is well developed, even down to the cruelest of characters. Reading this book made me feel like I was walking amongst the beautiful beings of Greek myth.

2. Purple Prose - The book is a marvel. The storyline is unique, fresh, and interesting. Each character has depth, and each arc of the story holds importance. You fall in love with Achilles and Patroclus’s love. A tale as old as time, and somehow, more refreshing than ever. If you can get past the purple prose (verbose descriptions) and mildly amateur writing, it’s worth your time. It tries to be whimsical and poetic, and at times you can tell it’s a bit forceful, but the storyline shouldn’t keep you from minding too much.

3. . out of - Beautifully written. There is no doubt about Madeline Miller’s skills as a writer. I actually think from a technical standpoint, she’s one of the most gifted writers we currently have. She has just such a way with words and even as someone fairly well-versed in Greek mythology who knows how this all ends, I was hooked as if this was a cast of characters I’d never heard of before. I read Circe first and I found it to be much, much more relatable due to my own personal history and experiences but this book was just as spectacular. I love that this was all told from the point of view of Patroclus. He’s compelling and it’s lovely to see his own story fleshed out. His love for Achilles is touching but I think Achilles eventually becomes so unlikeable that it’s hard to see what Patroclus still sees in him and why he still so readily would give up everything for him. And Achilles himself is seen as complex here! Which is fine! Complex is good and I’m glad that he wasn’t always the attentive, loving, nurturing boy that Patroclus fell for and believed in. I think the story of Achilles here (and eventually Pyrrhus although he’s a much more extreme example) is a fascinating look at masculinity. Achilles is beautiful and sensitive and kind. He loves music and pretty things and nature. We see this throughout. But it isn’t until he starts demanding the treatment he believes he deserves and stamping out all that’s beautiful and tender about him that he could be seen as great and powerful by the world around him. He believes he’s entitled to greatness and he reaches a point where he really buys into his own hype and doesn’t care who he’s harmed as long as he gets what he believes he deserves as this pinnacle of masculinity, the best of the best. He can only become a hero by embracing cruelty and he’d rather be a hero and be remembered by everyone than remembered only by his love, Patroclus: the only person who ever really knew him at all. I’ll be thinking about this book for awhile. It’s hard not to. It’s so rich and textured. I’m giving this a . instead a , only because I started to grow a bit numb from reading cruelty after cruelty and atrocity after atrocity but I can absolutely recognize that that has nothing to do with Miller’s skill as a writer, and has everything to do with my own personal preferences.

4. My new obsession - I haven’t read a good romance book in years and then I found “song of Achilles”. I have been searching for a book that makes me feel even remotely to how this book left me. It’s a romance that goes past base desires and is almost poetic in the way that the author tells their story. There were a few scenes that felt unnecessary, but that is my only complaint. This was the book that reignited my love of reading and I highly suggest it.

5. captivating, beautiful retelling - Madeline Miller delivers a divine, heart-wrenching telling of the famous Greek myth. I was skeptical coming in, seeing how popular and hyped up the book has become, but this novel pulls you in from the beginning and does not let go. The story of Patroclus and Achilles is told in a whole new light and takes readers on a beautiful, unforgettable journey. I finished this book only yesterday and already wish I could experience it again for the first time. Miller’s artistic storytelling is nothing short of perfection, and although we know the tragic ending we can’t help but come along for the ride.

6. Life Changing - I wish I could read this book for the first time all over again. I still get emotional over this now nearly a year later. I don’t know how to explain it, but this book makes me feel like I found something I never knew I was missing and I wish I could have it back. I just don’t think I can reread this considering the how it feels. So like please let me live through you and read it for me.

7. Very interesting! - I don’t think you have to be super knowledgeable about Greek mythology to enjoy this story. It’s a reimagining, so I’m not entirely sure how much is stretched and altered (this is not an area of expertise for me) but it still read well and I enjoyed it! I loved reading of the influence the gods had over the characters and how they were brought to life. It may seem a little boring in some parts if you aren’t super into learning origin stories (we follow Patroclus and Achilles from a young age leading up to the war) but i think it was an interesting tale of life, love, and loss.

8. Must Read - One of the best book I have ever read, I’m not much a reader. But I decided to give this book a shot since it was raved so much. The moment I read the first pages I was hook! This book is rollercoaster of emotions and truly have a soft spot in my heart! I can’t express the amount of tears I have shed when reading this book the writing is so beautiful and the storyline is amazing! I would give anything to read this book again!!

9. Well - That’s one way to take an epic story and boil it down to one romance. I expected more and got less. If we’re going to modernize ancient texts, maybe not make them so lovey dovey. I didn’t cry. It was a fluff piece. Disappointing, I wanted more Iliad and less one big romance. If you’re into romances then this is the book for you. Also this book borders soft core porn at times. If you’re wondering what’s missing from this, it’s depth. Strips a classic of all its deep meaning and leaves you with another plot for a mediocre HBO drama.

1. The nail in the coffin… - Again, Harley does an amazing job, I always considered myself monogamous, but as I became enlightened by Jess and the boy’s relationship, I can no longer look at open relationships the same, it’s not about what you own or whose yours, it’s about the love and devotion that exists, seeing the person you love also fall in love, not being jealous, just simply having a bond unbreakable and unreachable to the outside world. I feel in love with Jess, this book after her full metamorphosis, the lake scene, the way she told every boy she loved them, was raw, she loved every single one of their own way, she loved Manson, he strong protector, his gentleness towards her and the first person she feel in love with, Vincent, she loved him for his total undivided devotion, I’ll never recover from his murals, and also the prom scene from Losers Part I, Jason, the young man whose first thought was to protect her and love her, their love for the gym, fast cars and sensual sex, Jason was the one character I held dear to me, Lucas, the tormented soul, changed for her, his sanity was withering at times while around her, yet he couldn’t get her out of his head or heart. The emotional scene of her and him expressing feelings did not hold me back from the happy tears of relief, after losing everything, just like Manson, he only had his boys, Jess would be the final person that would cement his healing, the trauma expressed in this book, could be triggering, but what’s a story of love without anger, disparity, and relief, Harley, I can’t thank you enough for your amazing work, I am speechless.

2. Kidnap but make it sexy - This book will make you realize you have kinks you didn't even know you had!
All sexiness aside, this story is so much more than just steamy sex scenes in almost every chapter. It is about love and continuing to grow as a person. I love reading about this family's dynamics and how I feel like I am part of it.
I do not want to choose favorites, but my favorite is Jason

3. Best Series Ever! - Absolutely love love love! I’ve been waiting so impatiently for part to come out and it didn’t disappoint! I wish I could give this stars! Characters are amazing and so in depth, plot was phenomenal, ending was perfect(especially ending scene)! Amazing read and quite possibly my favorite series to date.

1. I will never recover… - The journey from Dare to Losers Part , was something I was unexpectedly not ready to comprehend. The character development of Jess was enlightening, the metamorphosis of her character as well as realizing her sexuality and taking pride in it was emotional and captivating. Manson, one of the greatest male protagonist I’ve ever read in a book, continued to take my breath away, his exploration from a tough, strong and resilient man, to a vulnerable and emotional human being was an emotional rollercoaster for me. Vincent, whose character was extremely likeable from the beginning, made me feel safe, as though someone who would give anyone the world, and more, a man whose confidence relied within himself, but from also taking care of those he loved most, his love language for cooking and words affirmation I couldn’t get over, not to mention, his long hair and tattoos make me want to step into the book. Jason, a sweet blue haired boy with intense eyes, a geek within a heart of gold, and colorful personality reminded me of people from my past, beautiful people both inside and out, he showed a passionate devotion to Jess, even though she had hurt him, he never allowed her to think of herself unworthy of love, Jason Roth, I wish I could marry you and your perfect soul palate of colors. Lucas, my dark and demented krytonite, I’ve always had a thing for the so called damaged boys, and Lucas ignited my liking in an unforgettable way, intense, intimidating, yet the bane to my existence, his sweet side for Jess and his boys, his mean attitude to anyone that disrespects him or anyone he loves, and his body full of dark tattoos has his camouflage to the world, I never imagined falling for a character. I will never recover from this book…

2. Amazing follow up to the Dare! - I really loved this book. If you enjoyed the novella, The Dare, then you will enjoy this follow up to it. It retains the same vibes and level of spice of it but Losers dives deeper into the characters. Normally when reading a book where characters have multiple love interests I have trouble liking them all or at least not playing favorites. I assumed going into this that Manson would be my favorite but after reading this, I really loved everyone of them each in their own way. Even though all of the boys have a lot of similarities due to interests, they are very unique from each other and have their own struggles, something that can get lost with this many characters. Jessica was also amazing. I just adore them all. I can’t lie, I’m bitter they are all fake because I would happily be with them all. I really like the little moments in this book. Losers is very heavily smut oriented but there were just quite a few sweet parts, domestic moments, and just adorable interactions between the characters that it balanced it all out. I enjoyed how much they loved each other. The polyamorous aspect of this seemed well done. They guys weren’t together for the sake of the smut but because it made sense for the story and their characters. I appreciated that aspect a lot and it was good bisexual representation. Another part I enjoyed was the character development. Even though Jessica can be terrible, I got where she was coming from with her logic and so it made it easier to love her even before she became better. I am curious to see where she goes in the second half. I definitely need a little more depth from everyone but it’s hard to fairly judge that without part but it is heading in a direction that will allow for more complexity of the characters. There is a lot of potential for a lot more in part that I can’t wait to see. They all have their own struggles and mental blocks they need to get past. I like that they aren’t expecting anyone in this relationship to be perfect. They are all messy and need to work on things but are learning that they can lean on each other when needed in a very healthy way. Overall, I’d recommend this one for anyone who enjoys very spicy books. It does not hold back and the content warnings on the first page should tell you what you are in for (hint: it’s a wild ride). But I enjoyed the balance of it with interesting characters. It is more character driven than plot driven but that works for me. I think the characters will continue to stick with me for a long time. I hate that I’m a fast reader because my brain is having a hard time leaving this word and I need more. I’m so thankful it isn’t a long wait for Losers part because I need more Jessica, Manson, Lucas, Vincent and Jason in my life.

3. Warm, Fuzzy, Sexy, Daring - I am in awe of her writing style, the way she details everything, the emotion she captures with every single character. I feel so close to them all and I just feel so many things I can’t even put into words. This series is AMAZING and I can’t wait for more. It feels so right while I’m reading this book. Like I’m not just trying to get through it, and I’m not feeling put off by any aspect. It’s so real and unconforming (not a word but you get it). I already loved her work and now this tops it all for me. Can’t wait to read more- TAKE ALL MY MONEY!!

4. Mind blowing - This book blew my mind. I read the Dare and it was a short book but full of so much I couldn’t wait to learn more about the guys. Manson, Lucas, Jason and Vincent. This book blew everything out of the water my emotions are all over the place still. Back stories came out of the guys and some broke my heart one made me happy. Each story had my feelings all over the place. Jess own back story was something not everything we perceive is as it seems.
I can’t wait for part because I know what I want to happen and I hope it does. Bravo to this amazing author who created a world and characters that are so human but it also makes you think more about how we treat people and where people come from and what is lurking behind your neighbors door too. The steamy scenes are hot hot hot!!!

5. Fascinating and exciting read! - Hands down one of my most anticipated reads for and let’s just say Harley Laroux didn’t disappoint!!! This book was everything I hoped it would be I love this group of losers I’m obsessed with them their story is sexy exciting and so freaking hot but it’s so much more we get insight into each character and what their feeling and thinking my heart aches for these broken boys and Jess well it takes a special woman to handle these bad broken boys and I think she’s absolutely perfect for them I absolutely loved her character and even her character growth from the Dare was amazing to see and witness I will be anxiously waiting for part and I can’t recommend this book enough! Check your trigger warnings because this book won’t be for everyone but I personally loved it!

6. Emotional and Exhilarating…Best Read of - I am here to say this book is my top read. Harley Laroux was able to capture the essence of The Dare that we all loved and spin this story into even further depths. The intense insight we are given into each character with an extreme focus on each of our clown boys really changes everything you assumed about them. My dark heart, beautiful, broken boys. There's not one I could possibly choose over the other, but I can tell you who I identify the most with. Lucas Bent. If you go into this story just looking for smut and kink, you're missing the bigger picture. There are all those things but the pain and longing felt is visceral. I'm excited to see where Losers Part takes us.

1. Moving - I can’t put into words how much I enjoyed this series. There are very few authors that move me like Sierra Simone. She has a way of writing that makes me feel every moment of the characters in her books and then left to want more. This book did not disappoint. I very rarely write reviews but with this author I want to express that if you read her books you will never be the same. She is what every author should strive to be.

1. Second half slump - The first half of this book is probably the best I’ve read in a while. I laughed very hard, many times. Very solid, very well thought out. Aaaaand….. Then we get to the “I cling to you like a leech and all I think about is you and have sex with you times a day” It ENTIRELY loses it’s humor during the second half and becomes this somewhat annoying sex obsessed fifty shades of grey equivalent. This keeps happening with books about gay men and honestly I’m getting exhausted by it.

2. If only, if only, this happened in - Overall, a great read. The end came kind of abruptly. Don’t know if that’s because she intends for sequel, but wish the relationship story had more of a resolve that coincided with the main storyline end. Having said that, I couldn’t put it down, and was actually sure I messed something up when it said the story was over.

3. Holy Crap is all I have to say but while this book may be holy its the opposite of crap - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH emotional pain. I am a slow reader. Like year old white girl with learning disability slow (i actually have a learning disability that makes me a slow reader, this wasnt a jab at disabilities ppl dont @me) , but holy moly i finished this book in a day. Alex and Henry have my whole heart and if they asked me for anything i would give it to them in a heartbeat. I adore these two and I am devastated I cant keep reading about them. I would read a whole book about them just living their lives, thats how much i love them. If you are unsure about this book or arent sure you would like it let me reassure you, you will love this book and these two cinnamon roll boys.

4. Red, white, and royal blue - LOVED the story line. The writing style was a little confusing at times. You’d be reading about one thing and then it seemed to jump to a completely different time in the story so suddenly. I fell in love with the main characters though. I wish Casey would write a sequel. I wanna know what happens with Henry and Alex in the future

5. This book goes the distance - This book could have stopped at being a good book with representation and hope, but it took it the extra mile at every opportunity to create rich, complex characters—this includes the supporting characters as well as the main characters—and speak directly to your heart. November and the years since have been painful, but reading this healed a little bit of that negativity and also succeeded in making politics cool and hopeful again. I love these characters so much and this story so much and I recommend it to everyone. Side effects include rejecting apathy and finding the motivation to change the world :-)

6. Comfort Rom Com! Loved it - This book was wonderful. I love how it didn’t really start slow and even though I knew a little of what was going to happen I was so hooked from the beginning. I loved all the twists and plot points and the characters. Now for the real fun. I loooovvvveee Alex and Henry. They’re one of the cutest book couples of all time I think. I think everyone wants to feel a love like theirs at some point. They’re just so wholesome and in love, it’s wonderful. I knew this was a great book when at about / through I got super angry for them and just wanted them to have everything work out. When I feel real emotions like that I know the book is going on my favorites list. All in all such a great book and definitely gonna be a comfort read for me!

7. Starstruck from the beginning - Beautiful, honest, captivating. This book was filled with so many genuine emotions that my heart almost exploded. It was written for the youth and I appreciate that so much. It’s such a personal telling of love and strife. So refreshing. Intensely gratifying. I loved every minute of it!

8. Best Book Ever - The way the story was written gave you the sense that you had to read more. I was kinda sad when I finished the book and wished there was more. The relationships in the story was fundamentally great. I loved the way that the story was written, the style of writing was the best and Alex and Henry’s relationship was to die for. Their confidence is unmatched and their love for each other is something out of this world

9. Love it, wish I could read it again for the first time. - One of the best books I’ve ever read, I love the enemies to lovers trope and how this books manages to catch real life situations like involving politics, racism, and homophobia. I was skeptical at first to read it but once I started I could not stop, I finished the book in less than days and it would’ve been less had I not decided I wanted a hard copy of the book rather than reading it online. This book is prefect for whoever likes reading enemies to lovers, romance, real life issues, family sticking together, and royals.
2021-05-31
10. Amazing, a must read - I read this book during a time in my life where I didn’t feel like myself. Getting to experience the stories of these two, while being able to share in a laugh or two was something that truly helped me come to terms with myself. This is a book I would recommend anyone to read, and be able to experience a coming-of-self story, that I feel does a wonderful job of sharing stories from LGBT individuals, as well as not only being a story about the token white characters our community has grown to accept.
2021-05-30
11. Great message... not so good delivery - This book did a great job showing corruption in politics, especially against minority groups. It also gives an insight to lgbtqia identity crises and the pressures by society to conform to traditional norms. The plot itself in this novel is unrealistic and dry. I found myself skipping parts of the text because it was boring and didn’t contribute to the plot. I believed that the game surrounding children of the White House were exaggerated, making it hard for the plot to be believeable.

12. Highly Recommended!! - Made me wish this was the world we lived in! There is a perfect balance of self discovery, love - familial and romantic, politics, and twists. It was very easy to get lost into the lives of Henry and Alex and root for them as they battle between their obligations, their selves, as well as each other. Highly recommended!!

13. Wow. - This book is incredible. I’ve had my solid favorite books for years since i was a teen, and after reading this it has made it to my top . The way the author goes about with the descriptions of everything from the White House to Buckingham palace i was in awe. Incredible writing with such detail. The progression of this love story is so adorable and felt so real. The emotion was heart wrenching and i felt like i was in love. I cried so many happy tears and lots of sad tears. Mexican American culture and Austin, Texas. I’m born and raised in Austin and I’m so impressed. stars hands down, if you haven’t read thus yet, i highly suggest you do so. I promise % you will not be disappointed.

14. A Must-Read - This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. It’s the book I re-read when I’m having a stressful week or just need a laugh. The relationship between Alex and Henry makes my heart melt in the best way, and both of them are wonderful characters. Even the side characters had their own personalities; no one was cookie-cutter-made. I couldn’t put this book down; it was one of those late-night / early-morning reads where I didn’t finish until am and barely noticed the time passing. I can’t wait to see what Casey McQuiston writes next!

15. Love Conquers - Witty and Brilliant. There were moments that didn’t seem to attract to me, and I had to push through reading; however, I did sense a love and care in this story (between the lines ofc). There was genuine dialogue among the characters from the beginning to end that had them reach compelling growths. Also, I’m not big fan on “enemies to lovers”; however, I’m happy to see the development that the boys had. Love is hard as politics, I assume, huh? But, love truly conquers all. :)

1. A hat trick perfect book - I gotta say. The new guy. Out of this world phenomenal. I mean. Soooooo good. I had to rush to the author group on FB to brag about it. This was so well written. Plot so deep. But still had a light side in it. I was enthralled. PS: the heat. I can’t even. It is going on my best of ever and shelves for sure. Well done, Sarina. Well done. It’s Hockey romance MM done right. I simply loved Gavin. And aches for his losses. And I felt so much for Hudson. Wow. His roller coaster was so hard too. The support and the love for Jordyn was awesome as well. She’s a spitfire of a year old. I. Loved. It.

2. M/M to perfection!! - Sarina Bowen is one of the few authors I read who in my opinion does M/M right. She makes you fall in love completely with both Ms while also enjoying every aspect of their story. Hudson & Gavin are two such characters. They both reeled me in from the get-go. Hudson with his charm and inability to come out because of his career and Gavin being a widower who is now a single dad to his daughter Jordyn trying to navigate his new reality. I love them and their story so much. The heat they generate is molten lava hot and they are both so sexy in their own ways. I love how they navigate their relationship while also making sure to be true to themselves. Fantastic writing, great characters and an awesome storyline make this a must read. I loved it!!
2023-02-28
3. Loved Hudson and Gavin - Once again Sarina Bowen knocks it out of the park or maybe arena with this new MM hockey book. Since I don’t usually read blurbs I was really interested to see how this story all got started and I was giddy with excitement about the almost one night stand. The chemistry between Hudson and Gavin is off charts from the moment they meet. Even with the Chemistry Gavin treats Hudson exactly like the other guys on the team and doesn’t make it awkward. And Hudson struggles with trying to accept Gavin knows his secret which makes things interesting at work. But despite all that I loved watching them go from kind of wary neighbors to completely committed to each other. Then add in Gavin being a single dad and them both interacting with Jordyn will just make you swoon.

1. Great read - I loved dahlia green, doesn’t care and I was super excited for this one. It was a great book but to me, Astrid in this book is different from the first book and it also seems that their relationship is rushed or forced but overall i liked it but definitely not a love but if your into wlw books you might like it

2. Ashley Herring Blake does it again - I knew Delilah Green Doesn’t Care would be spectacular after the first chapter. Astrid Parker Doesn’t Fail is just as phenomenal after the first page. I love the bond between Astrid and her tribe is thoroughly throughout the book. Along with how Astrid really connects with Jordan. The ups and downs kept me on my seat the entire book. Ten out of ten. Cannot wait to read about Iris!

1. Loved it! - Such a great read! I think my favorite thing about these books is that regardless of what they go through, they just come out stronger every time. I love that the author doesn’t try and ruin their relationship by creating drama or scandal. It’s such a pure love and it just makes you hope for something as amazing as that in your own life.

2. Amazing series! - This is the best book i've read all year! It’s even better than DLU and that’s saying a lot. It had the perfect balance of family interaction and romance. The character/relationship development between Moffy and Farrow, the families, the body guards, just everyone was perfection. I can’t stop smiling!! I could go on and on about this amazing book. I can't wait until Alphas Like Us!!

3. This is EVERYTHING! - Krista and Becca continue to amaze me with their writing. I'm not sure how many times I reread the ending, the love that Maximoff and Farrow have for each other literally warms me. This entire family, the core , the kids, and the bodyguards will always and forever be my all time favorite group of characters. No matter what, nothing beats being Addicted.
2017-11-06
4. Great romance - This book picks up where the st in the series left off. It gets deeper into a family it’s complicated relationships (jealousy, insecurities, anger, sadness) while still focusing on the main two men, Maximoff and Farrow. Their relationship dynamic shines and other characters in the book are active, but not prominent. It’s a good balance of the main story and everyone’s backstory. If you like romance, and you like growing attached to characters over several books, then the addicted series and this series are perfect for you to read. I can’t wait for book .
2017-11-02
5. Amazing - Just like every book they write, this was an amazing read. I adore the relationship between Moffy and Farrow. Their love is palpable throughout every page. Being able to get a deeper look into the lives and personalities of other siblings was such a treat! This series and the Addicted series are books I consistently return to. If you have not read them do yourself a favor and submersed yourself into the world of these amazing families.
2017-11-02
6. So much love! - I’ve got to say - I liked this A LOT more than Damaged Like Us! It gave readers a lot of opportunities to get to know the other kids and it warms my heart so much, especially with the core six appearing from time to time. I got to understand Moffy’s character more, and also Charlie’s. I love how complex these characters are and I can’t wait for Alphas Like Us - especially for more Kitsulli moments This is easily one of my favorite KBR books Highly recommend (but read Addicted first!!!!)!

First complete book! - This is honestly the first book I ever read start to finish and I fell in love instantly and finished it in three days I love the dynamic and the descriptive writing of the author she put you in the story with the characters an gave a good understanding of their personalities! I could relate to the love of Avery and Britton

2. Just as good as the first one - I loved all about this book! The characters were great and well portrait, and the story was well written. I like that it wasn't clear from the beginning who Britten is going to end up with. It showed the fear of coming out, the impact of losing a sister and daughter, and the angst and PTSD of being in the foster system very well. I couldn't stop reading and can't wait for the next book by Kristen Zimmer.

1. Amazing - Wonderfully written! I saw another comment mention turning this into a movie. I’d totally watch it. The story line was well written and the characters beautifully developed. I can’t wait to read you’re next book (hopefully there’s a next book ). Either way the book was great. You did a wonderful job.

2. It’s cute - This was the first lsb!an literature I’ve read and it’s like a gateway drug spiraling my hearts longing to read sweet love stories. The writing style was a little weird for my preference as some of the passages were hard to comprehend reading with the wording but other than that it’s a cute book. I look forward to finding more from this author that’s hopefully matured in storytelling. / recommend for first time lsb!an lit readers.

3. Sincerely, A Fan! - Kristen Zimmer!! Lady... This story literally had me feeling all the emotions. I’m on board with the “Make This Book A Movie” train. I love the context, the content, the concept and I love that there is a happy ending. I’ve seen and read too many lesbian stories that end in heartbreak or the girl didn’t get the girl but the guy got the girl—unhappy girl. So, thank you so much for allowing these two to genuinely love and live. Can’t wait to see what you have in store next.

4. Brings Back Memories - This book is so cute. Showing the struggle of coming out, liking someone and being in a relationship; it’s everything. It reminds me of my first few months meeting my soon to be girlfriend. All the nervousness around her. “Oh god. What if I tell her I like her but she hates me!!! We’ll never be friends” trying to find the courage to move on, but realizing I really just want to be with her. This is an awesome book. Seriously, take sometime and read it! You won’t regret it!

5. I AM SO IN LOVE!! - I've been searching for a lesbian book that would absolutely make my heart melt, and I found it! I loved "The Gravity Between Us", it sent me on a rollercoaster of emotions! Never have I ever read a book so beautifully written! Thank you Kristen Zimmer for writing a book that the LGBTQ community can relate to. This perfectly describes what it feels like to 'come out'! I hope to see more like this in the future!

1. Saccharine - This was a saccharine sweet romance about two professional women that find love while working in the world of real estate. The plot follows the typical path of two seemingly different personalities working through their own struggles to find a happily ever after. The book is heavy on the romance, and light on struggle. Although there was lots of potential, for me it comes together a little too easy and falls flat.

1. Bugger fun! - It took me a couple of pages to get the lingo down but loved it! It's a good story with great characters, reading about other countries and why we do choose to live where we do. Not because we were born there but because of the niche we have made and decided to stay. Like in the story, here is a young woman who moved away from everyone and everything; away from circumstances that were stifling in her old work place. She embraced her new place with enthusiasm, made new friends and found love. We shouldn't let gender be a deciding factor or let it dictate to us what's the norm. There isn't one. Love is love. Enjoyed the author's humor and besides love, laughter does wonders too. It's like healing hands only it heals from inside out.

1. A different story - This is actually a / stars. I love Kate Meader, I think her novels are sexy, exciting to read, and have always loved her characters. The reason I couldn’t give more than / stars is because I wasn’t able to relate about the romance between Dante and Cade. I can understand the love between them, I just couldn’t feel the thrill I normally have when I read her books.
Dante Moretti is lucky to have such a great job as the GM for the Chicago Rebels. He’s overcome the ridicule and gossip from his family, but at the same time, the acceptance from colleagues. He’s the first GM in hockey to come out as a gay man. Now if he could only stop thinking about one of his players, Cade Burnett, now that he’s found out he is also gay.
Cade has been a closet gay all his life. When you are a player in a hockey team, no one expects you to be a gay man. Cade wants to tell Dante, and hopefully date him. As their relationship gets hotter off the ice, will they be able to risk their careers by coming out.

2. A hot addition to the series - Undone By You is the third full-length book in the Chicago Rebels series (there is prequel novella). You can read it as standalone but I do recommend reading the previous books since they kickass but the hockey lines up with the books. Undone By You starts off around the same time the second book started. It’s fun to see what was going on with these guys while Isobel and her man were starting their own relationship. Ok, anyway... Dante was shocked to see one of his players in the exclusive gay club in downtown Chicago. Especially the one he had been avoiding since he became the New GM for the Chicago Rebels. He was attracted to Cade, the Texan cowboy who was also known as Alamo. He already had a target on his back being the first openly gay NHL GM, he didn’t need people talking about him checking out his players. He couldn’t go there. But, it looks like Cade had other plans for them. He might have been shocked to see Cade in the club but he was at heart attack level when the man came on to him. Cade was good at hiding. He didn’t do relationships. He did one time hook-ups. He was twenty-three and not ready to come out as the first gay NHL player. So he hid. Only, he couldn’t hide anymore from Dante. He knew he was cute. He knew that from the posters hanging on his teenage self’s wall but seeing him in person? F- hot. In a suit? Nope. He couldn’t stay away, if he tried. He wanted him. Badly. He knew the risks. He only wanted one weekend with the man. Except...after one taste, he wanted more. Much more. Dante and Cade’s relationship is complicated. Mainly because they couldn’t have a real one. It could only be about making each other feel good. That and talking about the coming out process. If that was what Cade wanted to do at some point during his career. They can have their hot nights but had to be cooled down when on the ice and in the office. Will they find a way to be together? Do they even want that? It’s not just about their sexual desires, it’s about their careers. Overall...it’s a wonderful addition to the series! One I was waiting for. I just knew these two would get their own book and it was everything I was expecting and more. I have only read this series by Kate so I am not sure if this is her first M/M or not but either way...her writing in this genre was awesome! I loved the characters. Their story. The season. The love. Quotes: Cade looked over his shoulder, a cheeky grin teasing his lips. “Get a good look, boss?” “Shut up.” “Leave the orgasm, take the cannoli?” “Innocence left the building a long time ago, borchia.”

3. Brings the Heat! - This is my first M/M and I must admit that I wasn’t sure about reading this one, but I love Kate Meader’s style, and she once again pulled me in and just made this so entertaining, sexy, and oh so sweet. Another one of her stories that left me with a smile on my face and my heart happy. I enjoyed Cade and Dante so much. I loved their flirting and the build of heat they had as they get to know each other, in a totally romantic way. I like how they were so cautious, but open with each other. Cade was so sweet and hot for Dante and had been for such a long time that he just doesn’t give up and is relentless with his pursuit of the reserved General Manager. There is some emotionally charged moments that are handled so well in this book that it made this so easy to enjoy and love every moment in this book. I also enjoy getting an update on all their friends and the tie-ins from previous books. Love this series! Can’t wait for more of those sexy, hot and sweet Chicago Rebels. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4. Stars! - I love all the boundaries that are being smashed in the Chicago Rebels series by Kate Meader. We have three sisters that inherited a failing hockey league. Their father daring them in his death to beat the odds of making the team a success with impossible restrictions. Something even he, a former pro hockey player couldn't do. All sisters are proving to the masses that women can be just as good in a male dominated sport. Add in players on the team that come from diversified backgrounds who each bring a strength to the team that Harper recognized in them. Then Kate brings us Undone By You. An m/m story of Dante, the first GM in hockey who's come out and Cade, one of the best defensive men who isn't ready to let the world know. Their relationship seems so impossible. Cade's pretending to date Violet. Dante is Cades boss. I wasn't sure how the author was going to turn it all around in a novella no less, but she did it. For being on the lower page count, it never felt rushed. Every obstacle was addressed and conquered. We get to see Dante and Cade fall in love and be free to just be. I loved it! 1. All time favorite authors - This book was perfect! I love Maximoff and Farrow sooo much. Nothing I could say would do this book, this series, justice. Everyone should definitely check out Krista & Becca’s live chat on YouTube where they go in-depth about the book and series. So many parallels between this series and even the Addicted series, which made me love the book even more. I honestly could’ve finished this in days but I never wanted it to end. So amazing. Now I can’t wait for Jane and Thatchers story in Tangled Like Us!

2. BEST IN THE SERIES YET!!! - Stars!!! I don't even know where to begin with this review!! This book was hands down the best book in the series so far! We get to see a side of Maximoff and Farrow that I've been waiting so long to see!! In the last two books, most of Moffy and Farrow's interactions were playful and sarcastic banter and sometimes it made their soul-mate love hard to believe. But in this book we see the couple become more vulnerable and open with each other. They have such sweet, tender, and intimate moments that the last two books did not give us. The Krista & Becca that we know and love are back! This is what was missing from their love story! As much as I loved the other books, I craved to see romantic moments between these two guys! Their relationship was starting to feel more like a FWB situation instead of a deep romantic love. This book firmly changed those feelings. I am a true believer in Maximoff and Farrow's love!!! I had so manyfeeeeeeeellllllsssssss!!!!!!! They talked about their future together, their fears, hopes, dreams, all that mushy gushy stuff that couples talk about! My heart was so full! They were so freaking cute it made me want to cry! "His forest-greens stay on me, screaming love me. Love me." Krista & Becca are truly the Queens of Characters!!! I NEED a book for EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Moffy's family plays such an important part in his life and these characters are an integral part of the series. I will admit (please don't hate me) Moffy and Farrow were not my most favorite of KB couples until Alphas Like Us. The side characters are what really made this series so special to me. But Moffy and Farrow really stole my heart in this book! And the SHIPS!!!!! Cobaretti (Jane Cobalt and Thatcher Moretti) are already a confirmed couple and we'll be getting their book, Tangled Like Us soon ;) Kitsulli (Sullivan Meadows and Akara Kitsuwon) have also been confirmed to be cannon and hopefully we'll be seeing their book this year too!!! (No Kitsulli book has been confirmed yet)
I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for Oscar & Jackand Kinney & Holly!! We didn't get to see much of Holly but she was introduced in a flower sundress and HOW CUTE WOULD IT BE TO SEE GOTHIC KINNEY WITH A SOFT FLOWER LOVING GIRL?!?!?!?
AND LUNA!!!!!! MY LITTLE ALIEN BABY!!! I NEED HER STORY! I NEED TO BE IN HER HEAD!!! I could go on and on and on with these characters! When I tell you I need a book for all of them: I MEAN IT!!! This book left me feeling so incredibly satisfied and happy and emotional BUT NOW I WILL BE IMPATIENTLY WAITING FOR JANE AND THATCHER'S BOOK!!! I need that book NOW!!! KRISTA AND BECCA: I LOVE YOU BUT YOU NEED TO HURRY UP ;)

1. Best of the Bet - This is book of the series "Stick Back". Any of the books can be read alone or read as a series.
This book, "Star of the Game" was my favorite.
The romance that Felix (aka Tenor) & Emery had toward each other was so powerful. In a way that everyone hopes & dreams of having for themself, gay, straight or any where in the LGBTQ community. Some of us, including myself are lucky to have or had it. And once you have had it, nothing else even comes close.
Felix & Emery had "IT", & even during the worst of worst always protected themselves & it first.
Isn't that exactly what romance cost? Everything & more but would do it again
AT ANY COST.. Don't forget to read "Felix & Emery's makes a music video". It's a great addition to their romance.. Trace Dial

1. unforgettable love story - This was a phenomenal read! I cannot say enough about the perfection of the story- Malachi and Isaac are an unforgettable epic love. The author is absolutely flawless in her delivery of a forbidden love between a youth pastor, Malachi, and the son of a pastor, Isaac. She makes you feel everything from the angst, the internal turmoil, the uncontrollable attraction, the overwhelming emotional restraint, and a powerful radiant love that forces you to see its beauty despite all the murkiness surrounding it. Malachi has a scarred past, and he truly believes only his devotion to his faith can save him from the unrest and emptiness wedged deep inside him. Isaac is a budding young man, tormented by many of the similar demons that haunted Malachi when he was Isaac's age. As much as Malachi wants to help Isaac find his way back to faith, Malachi finds himself once again tormented by his 'sins', and this time he doesn't believe he has the strength to overcome them. Isaac immediately identifies Malachi's internal struggles and is determined not to fall prey to another man dictating what is right and wrong in his life. This book is definitely one of those you cannot put down. Once it grabs hold of you, you will not find peace until you see it through to the last word. Your soul will yearn for the soothing healing balm Lynn Burke's words offer. This story will stay with you forever.

1. Fire and Ice - This was such a great book! Kate Meader has created such rich and wonderful worlds with her two series, “Hot in Chicago” and “Rookie Rebels.” And this book brings those two worlds together in the best way. Hudson and Jude were a great pair and I loved how they both had their strengths and weaknesses — and how they supported one another. I really liked watching as the two of them fell for one another. It was so obvious that there was a special connection between them and the way they became closer and shared more of themselves with one another felt so real and natural. It was in turns sweet, funny, romantic, sexy and reaffirming. It was, in short, a beautiful love story and I highly recommend it.

2. Could not put it down - What happens when you merge the hockey players from one series with the firefighters from another? Down in Flames is born, and what a sexy, sweet, adorable child it is. Cute as a button Hudson meets experiences and sexy Jude through a hook-up app, determined to punch that v-card of his while staying anonymous...and still in the closet. Their connection goes way beyond the physical, but something happens to spook Hudson, so they don't reconnect until more than a year later. Jude has spent that time getting his act together and joining the Chicago FD, while Hudson gets traded to the Rebels after finally letting his rainbow flag unfurl. Neither has forgotten the other, but while Jude isn't looking for a relationship, but Hudson is. Instead, Jude will introduce Hudson to the gay scene in town and give him the confidence to find who and what he needs. But as we all know, those plans never quite work out the way the main characters think they will, and feelings are caught. Oh, so many feelings. But what was just as fantastic to read about was Jude and Hudson as men outside of their connection. To watch Hudson gain confidence and Jude to find his way back to friends he's hurt is every bit as satisfying as watching them fall in love. There's a lot of cameos in this book, which I adored, but new readers don't need to feel intimidated. They only add to the richness of the story, as well as thrill long-time Kate Meader fans. I promise, you'll be itching to binge those earlier books as we all wait for the next one in the series to be released. I just wish I could give this book more than stars!

3. Five Alarm Blaze! - Passionately explosive and soulfully seductive. Hudson and Jude’s story will have you spellbound from the beginning to the end. This is Kate Meader’s first M/M contemporary romance and although I would normally not read this genre. Since I am a big fan of Kate Meader I had to read this. I loved this story. It was perfect, so tastefully done so full of heat, heart, humor, and emotions. Every single page was filled with yummy perfection. Oh my! So good! I swooned hard for these characters! Hudson Grey is at the start of his hockey career. He has been hiding his sexuality his whole life. So when he decides that he needed to finally lose his virginity to a stranger, he picks a town where he thinks nobody would know who he was. Uses an alias and checks into a upscale hotel and swipes right on a tattoo hottie. Jude Torres has had a rough life since his mother died. Him and his father have never connected and his life had been one wrong move after another. It was supposed to be just a random hookup, with a guy with the cut, washboard abs but as soon as he opened the door he recognized him. Hudson Grey the hottest prospect in pro-hockey and secretly in the closet. He needed someone to punch his v-card and Jude was happy to help. Then he ghosted Jude when he found out he knew who he was. A year later Jude is a candidate firefighter and has gotten his life back on track. No longer into newbies he has learned his lesson. Hudson Grey has been traded to Jude’s hometown team, the Chicago Rebels and he’s out, proud, and ready to date. Even going so far as to ask Jude to introduce him to the local gay scene. But Jude’s knows with his past, he was the worst one to be showing the shy and sexy hockey player around. But Jude cant deny, the memories of him being Hudson’s first is an absolute obsession. But he has to draw the line, because potentially introducing this guy to the delights of another man’s body was firmly not on his list of priorities. But Hudson has a thing or two he would like to teach Jude for a change if only he didn’t play so hard to get! Kate Meader does an excellent job of taking an often misunderstood lifestyle and presenting it in a romantic and exciting manner. Her descriptions were so vivid and tastefully done. Hot and sexy, her words steam off the the pages. Causing those little zips of excitement, with heart racing, blood pumping, as well as a wide grin on your face great read. Received an early copy and this is my honest review.

4. Love Hudson and Jude! - This is a great crossover between the Rookie Rebel series and the Hot in Chicago Rookie series. Hudson Grey is a rookie hockey player, who happens to be closeted at the beginning of the book. He decides he want to finally go all the way, and ends up hooking up with Jude Torres. Hudson ends up ghosting him, but a year later, they become reacquainted. Jude has a lot of issues. He used to be a partier, and had made a mess of his life. He is turning his life around, and is a rookie firefighter. But his past haunts him, and he doesn’t think he is good enough for Hudson. I loved Hudson! He is so nervous and shy in the beginning of the book, and he grows so much. This is a really enjoyable M/M romance, and I cannot wait for the next book in both series. I received an arc of this book from the author for my honest review.

1. So hot, so touching, so good! - According to Goodreads, Game Changer is Rachel Reid's first published book and I found it really hard to believe. I thought this book was fantastic. I don't often give stars to the first book I read by a new-to-me author but this story hit me in all of the right places. I've read quite a few coming out stories involving professional athletes and this one stands up with the best of them for me. I felt so bad for in-the-closet pro hockey player, Scott, who meets Kip at the smoothie shop where he works. Scott's game had been in a big slump but after getting a smoothie from Kip things turn around. Afraid to jinx himself he goes back to get more smoothies. It doesn't hurt that Kip is really hot and flirts a bit with Scott. Kip is super attracted to Scott but he's sure there is no way that Scott is gay, let alone interested in him. When it turns out that he's wrong he can't believe how lucky he is to have the attention of such a hot hockey superstar. The only thing that bothers him is that Scott isn't out and isn't eager to come out anytime soon. This book hit me in all the feels. Kip and Scot are so hot together and it made me sad when it looked like things were going all wrong between them. It's a romance and carries Carina Press's Romance Promise so I knew there would at least be an HEA but that doesn't mean there weren't several nail-biting tense moments in the story. My one regret is that it took me so long to finally get around reading this book. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I don't often purchase copies of books that I receive as ARCs but I had to grab a copy of this one. A review copy was provided by the publisher via NetGalley but this did not influence my opinion or rating of the book. Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions dot com
