1. Disappointing - The original Pete the cat was so cool. We loved all the unexpected Animations of Pete , and the funny mud tapping pages, and the jigsaw puzzle at the end. The button story has none of those creative features yet cost the same - which is fairly expensive. This book will not be read over and over like the first one. I am not buying anymore of the Pete the cat series.

1. Is There a Fix? - I downloaded this book when it first came out. It was interactive then — witches and the ghost flew, pumpkins moved and tumbled down the hill. I opened it again after several years and was saddened to find the only interactive thing about it was a narrator who read it as the words were highlighted. I tried removing it and re-downloading it, but that didn’t help at all. Can it be restored to the original version?

2. Fabulous - Five Little Pumpkins - This is by far my two grandsons, ages and favorite interative reading book. This is a fabulous book for young children. We especially like the rhyming format, the colorful pictures and the interative items on each page. My grandsons love to take turns coloring the pumpkins, and making the other items come to life and fly off the pages. The ability to turn on/off the reading, background music and automatic page turning makes this book a must have for every childs and grandparents i-library.

3. Five little pumpkins - I bought this because a review said a year old loved it, but it is really aimed at - year olds. My and year olds are probably going to give it about seconds of attention, which is the amount of time it takes to read it once. And even for - year olds it is way too expensive.

1. The Kids Loved It - I put this on my iPad to give my nephews and nieces something to look at other than angry birds. My three-year-old niece loved the page where she gets to dress Lizzy and my five-year-old nephew loved the sound effects. He went through the entire book touching everything to see what made a noise. He also had fun counting along with the narrator.

2. Absolutely Enchanting - My iPad has a split personality - it lives one life during the day and another off the clock. This charming book is exactly what the little ones love. It's the best of everything - great literature that's age appropriate with super hip interactive effects sure to keep kids interested and attentive.

3. What a clever idea! - I just think the idea of using selected characters and settings from classic literature for a children's counting book is so clever! The illustrations are adorable, and the animations and sounds on each page are really fun. I loved the little "paper doll" at the end. While reading this will probably not make your child a literary genius, I can't help but think a little early exposure to classic literature will at least make you feel cultured.

4. Capital! Capital! - I thoroughtly enjoyed playing in this book! The graphics are so sweet and cute and I kept giggling the whole time I was reading. My favorite parts were the marriage proposals and dressing Lizzy for the ball. As an adult, I also appreciated being able to listen to the whole first chapter of the novel at the end of the book. It's a great counting book for babies and great fun for any Jane Austen fan.

2. Better than I thought it would be - So, at first I thought it was Romeo and Juliet for babies. But when I read it I realized it was just using parts of the Shakespearean play for a counting book. It is very cute and interactive. While I prefer physical books for my little ones, this does very well in those situations where it's not practical to lug around a bag of books. And check out the hidden surprises on each page - really cool! Great job Gibbs Smith!

1. Love the monkeys - My yr old really loves this book. He asked me to "buy it"…… thinking a printed version would be wonderful. I can really appreciate the different monkeys and their personalities.
