1. Read by children. Disappointing purchase. - I wish I would have read a review before purchasing this book. The book itself is fine but it is read by children and not Cookie Monster and other characters that are part of the story. I was really disappointed when I heard the read along. I'll be leaving the sound off for this book.

2. Not read by Cookie Monster - Purchased this book because I thought it would have been narrated in Cookie Monster's voice, but it's not. This is too bad because my son loves Cookie Monster. The book is narrated by a kid, which makes it actually kind of boring... At least with "The Monster At The End Of This Book" it is read with Grover's voice. This was a disappointing purchase.

2. Agree - I agree with the others upset at the outrageous price. What's the reasoning for this. There are a lot of classic children's books I'd love to have on my iPad, but I can't justify buying it for $. when it's only pages and cheaper in physical versions. This goes for tons of other children's books on here. I don't get it. I love these books and would buy them at a reasonable price.

3. Wish someone would make an interactive app of this - My son who has special needs loves this book and he just got an iPad to use for help with school so we are looking for fun apps and games that will help him with social skills and education. I was hoping to find an interactive book but I still wouldn't even pay this much for an app! Who are they kidding?

4. Love The Book but... - I love reading this book to my kids who love the rhythm and rhyme of the story. But, not for this price. I'll continue reading from the book unless the price comes down to or three bucks. Anyhow, after listening to the voice in the sample, I'll give this e-Book stars. The voice is not bad but give me the voice of the lady from the video and you'll get five stars from me.

5. Overpriced! - I LOVE this book! I still remember being in kindergarten and always checking out this book at the library. And the best thing now is that my two little boys love this book as well :) But I'm not going to spend bucks on this. I have bought two hard covers from half price books and have spent dollars on each one. I certainly will purchase this once the price is lower.

6. Overpriced - We have this book in paperback. The kids really like the rhyming with boom boom. I thought that I might get an electronic version to have it with us wherever. But our paperback copy cost $. less than this ebook. A used copy can be had for less than half that. There is no good reason why an electronic version should cost more than paperback. Just say no to greedy publishers.

1. Great Book for the First Week of School - Very creative story! I plan on using this book for the first week of school for my Kindergarten class. I want the students to take care of their supplies and use them correctly. This book will really get them thinking about how they use their crayons and creativity. We can also revisit this book for character point of view and letter writing.

2. Loved it! - I saw the hard book copy at target....started reading it and thought....this is too funny of a concept. I thought my son would love it....but he isn't necessarily ready for the responsibility of taking care of books. Figuring out it was here, was a great treat. I can read it to him and still keep the book intact. The book of course is clever, cute and humorous at times. We loved it!

3. The day the crayons quit - My kids love this story. My st grader came home from school asking for this book because his teacher read it in class. Colorful, creative and funny! The only setback is the text itself. I get the author was going for the look of the crayons writing the letters but it being so sloppy and a mix of cursive and print made it difficult for my son to read it himself. Especially since they aren't even teaching cursive at that young an age. But both my boys love the story.

1. Disappointing - The original Pete the cat was so cool. We loved all the unexpected Animations of Pete , and the funny mud tapping pages, and the jigsaw puzzle at the end. The button story has none of those creative features yet cost the same - which is fairly expensive. This book will not be read over and over like the first one. I am not buying anymore of the Pete the cat series.

1. Amazing but to expensive - This book is very good and I like how the "picture books" work on the iPad. Though I must say it did take me a few try's to figure it out, but once I did it was a very enjoyable experience. The art quality is top notch. Great high resolution images. Then why did I give this book three stars? The price is ridiculous. I would seriously buy of these if they were perhaps dollars but ? They'll be lucky if I buy another book for four months. Well had to give it a try, so although well done, digital versions of physical items should be much cheaper. Lower the price and I won't have enough room on my iPad because I will be buying way to many.

1. Is There a Fix? - I downloaded this book when it first came out. It was interactive then — witches and the ghost flew, pumpkins moved and tumbled down the hill. I opened it again after several years and was saddened to find the only interactive thing about it was a narrator who read it as the words were highlighted. I tried removing it and re-downloading it, but that didn’t help at all. Can it be restored to the original version?

2. Fabulous - Five Little Pumpkins - This is by far my two grandsons, ages and favorite interative reading book. This is a fabulous book for young children. We especially like the rhyming format, the colorful pictures and the interative items on each page. My grandsons love to take turns coloring the pumpkins, and making the other items come to life and fly off the pages. The ability to turn on/off the reading, background music and automatic page turning makes this book a must have for every childs and grandparents i-library.

3. Five little pumpkins - I bought this because a review said a year old loved it, but it is really aimed at - year olds. My and year olds are probably going to give it about seconds of attention, which is the amount of time it takes to read it once. And even for - year olds it is way too expensive.

1. iBooks is too Primitive for this Book - If your child is still developing the fine motor skills to flip pages and tap rather than swipe this book goes off the rails. My daughter was scrolling wildly between the beginning and end of the book using the iBooks bottom pop up menu. She was tapping something but flipping pages by accident. Then trying to swipe back somehow managed to navigate out of the book to a different book I was reading. Many times. Regularly. So you use guided access and that fixes it, right? No. That locks down the APP and the app is iBooks, so there’s no way to keep her from accidentally flipping over to parenting books or whatever else is in your library. Super frustrating for parent. Daughter is years old btw. On the whole I think she loved it, but I had to hover and help her get back to where she meant to be very often. Apple needs to think about this very specific scenario and make it much better if I’m going to spend another $ on a kids’ iBook.

2. IF YOU WANT YOUR IPAD TO CRASH, BUY THIS BOOK! - All it will do is cause your iPad to crash. That's it. Nothing else. All it does is crash and cause your iPad to shut down. It's as if the creators of this interactive book got together and said: "Well boys, what classic Dr.Seuss book can we use to really screw things up?" and one guy said "How about we use that A, B, C book he did? I know a programmer in Bora Bora that will make the iBook interactive for $. and a Klondike bar." They all agreed and created the most crashable iBook ever. Buy the paper version. If you buy this piece of Flash know this: Your kids will never learn their A, B, C's. If they are lucky, they will get probably about as far as F. (If they're lucky. Like, blue moon luck lucky) since they can only go as far as 'F', the other kids who already know their A, B, C's will make fun of your kids because they only can go to 'F' causing them to live the rest of their lives as pariahs in society. Then, research will be done and one of the researchers will be doing a study on social pariahs and upon their findings they'll say: "Unbelievable. Every one of them had parents that bought a really really really crappy "interactive" iBook that was made with some software called 'Windows '. What a shame." So bottom line: Pass or Pariah. It's your call.
