1. An Impossible Book - I can’t imagine what it took to write this. Not only because of how complex and chaotic the political and cultural climate has become but because of the seemingly impossible task of making the points it does in such an even handed and clear manner. I will be recommending this to everyone.

2. Enlightening, Entertaining - Whether you agree with Urban’s hypotheses here or not, this book will give you something to think about, to discuss with others, and to use to better appreciate and empathize with others’ viewpoints. His unique writing style seen in his blogs — blending deep research with accessible prose — is present here. And, of course, the illustrations and humor add much value to the reading experience.

3. This is probably a must read. - things about this book and about Tim:
) if you read the entire huge series - the story of us, you would still want to read this which is quite different. ) In general I think Tim Urban is a great read and I liked a good deal of his waitbutwhy posts. Some are really eye-opening. ) it feels quite 'short' compared with the wait but why pieces - it's clear there is editing, editing and more editing, it feels like sentences in the blog are encapsulated into in this book, which is fantastic as more ideas gets through in less time, but I would pay to read the pre-edited million pages or so :) Who is this book for?
- anyone using social media
- anyone who interacts with others
- anyone that takes interest in current events, news, politics, voters
- politicians - everyone

4. A Breath of Fresh Air - Tim Urban provides a much-needed framework for talking about the world we inhabit. While some may take issue with how much he focuses on low-rung thinking in social justice movements, I found it to be a pretty natural balance—enough has been said by others about the same phenomenon on the right that we really didn’t need it all spelled out for us again. I plan to recommend this book to anyone who’s open-minded enough to appreciate it. Thanks Tim!

5. A Trip Down the Ladder - Urban starts this piece with a fascinating framework for understanding current political discourse, analyzing the national conversation from a refreshing vertical lens that situates high-minded, rational thinking in opposition to low-minded, reactionary impulsivity, rather than the tired horizontal lens of left- and right-wing politics. While Urban expertly highlights the benefits of collaborative high-minded conversation and the pitfalls of groupthink echo chambers, his early explanations of common cognitive biases is almost too effective, providing all the necessary tools to interpret his eventual descent into what he, himself, would call, “lower-rung thinking.” While he claims to be simply concerned with the “hypercharged tribalism” that has grown to dominate the discourse as both sides of the political spectrum duke it out in “Political Disney World,” he devotes a pointedly oversized portion of the latter half of the book to his grievances with only one of the “golems,” leaving the other “golem,” and the conflicts between them, relatively unaddressed. Having read the book in its entirety, I can empathize with his position, but I wish the piece had continued the trend of the original blog series (which I also read in its entirety) of analyzing the interplay of these two “golems” rather than belaboring the point of how a single side engages in problematic behavior. While Urban has the courtesy to name the “straw man” he battles throughout most of this latter half, it would have been nice to see him either “steel man” the ideology with which he has such grievances or focus more on resisting the allure of the “Political Disney World” into which these “golems” have plunged us than exposing the “Trojan Horse” of the one without applying a similarly meticulous analysis to the other. As it stands, the totality of the piece reads as rather lopsided, like it should have either been half the length or twice as long.

1. Platitudes For the Person Who Can’t Think For Themselves - This book is so bad that sliding nude down a splintery bannister would be is more rewarding experience. “Freedom” only applies to heteronormative, white Caucasian “christian” men in DiSantis’s disgusting worldview. This book should be burned. Hopefully by a drag Queen.

2. Ron copied abbott TWICE months later - . Ron DeSantis promoted vaccines. Greg never did. . Greg abbott never lockdown Texas during COVID and also ended COVID benefits such as unemployment momths before desantis and other red states. . Greg abbott sent migrants to sanctuary cities months before Ron. I give this book a Star because Ronald followed greg. Greg didn’t choose to promote himself this way. A way that would have been true if the story was told by abbot. But don’t worry. I’m sure trump knows this. He’ll mention this during the debate

1. A good easy read - Galloway does an excellent job summarizing the negative changes in the American economy. He also does a great job offering solutions that need to be talked about. (The graphics are excellent). I, like Galloway, believe that if we talk, propose solutions, and act on them, change for the better will happen.

1. Engrossing - MC paints a perfect picture of DJT exactly as anyone who grew up in the tri-state area of NYC, greedy, cold and ghoulish in how he lives and reigns. MC is also stark in portraying himself and the things he did for DJT and is brutally honest and also extremely apologetic throughout. He gives you a look into the darkness of Trump world that only he could show. It was scary all around and frighteningly informative.

2. Loved it!! - Loved it! more insightful & truthful about the REAL Donald Trump than ANYTHING else you’ll read. Trump has been in the media a long time & there’s far too many videos of his words & actions over the years, for this level of personal detail for it NOT to be true. I can’t wait for the next one Mike!! Keep speaking your TRUTH! Our country’s future depends on it.

3. Great reading! - Michael Cohen’s book is very credible, interesting and well written. He candidly describes many terrible things that he did and how he did many of them on behalf of Trump. I appreciate him writing it and confirming what I already knew,: what a horrible person Trump is and how he is even worse than what I thought he was.

4. Disloyal - Excellent book. Surprisingly well written. I must admit I did not expect it to be- I guess because of all the negative things trump has said about Cohen. I think he writes thoughtfully and honestly. Too detailed to think it could all be made up. I believe him because having lived in NYC I had heard so many people tell their terrible stories about trump ripping people off who worked for him. People who lost their businesses because of him. I highly recommend this book if you want to hear the real truth about trump.

5. Revealing! - Although Mr. Cohen does have some credibility issues, he fully admits this in the book and acknowledges and apologizes for his previous transgressions. I have no problem believing most of what he writes about our President as I’ve heard it corroborated by several other sources. A revealing look into the world of our incompetent, ignorant, and corrupt President.

6. A different kind of Historian - [R]emember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save him from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
— James : What a brutally realistic portrait of a st century ogre you have painted Michael. I have a hard time digesting so much BS you have willingly submitted yourself to in all those years! Please write more, I will keep buying all your yarns, as long as you are honest and repentant. Bless you.

7. EXCELLENT READ! - This book is a must read. The best book I’ve read on Trump so far. Could not put it down. However I’ve known that Trump was garbage way back around when I first saw him on TV. I just immediately knew he was a cheap, lying conman, crook, misogynist, selfish pig. An ego maniac with an inferiority complex. I knew he raped and groped women and possibly underage girls. I don’t know how I knew all of this but it came to me that first time I saw him and heard his BS.

8. DISLOYAL. - Don’t waste your money. Not a trump tell all. he let trump abuse him. And still did his vulgar, cheating lying and stealing Trump threw him under the bus. Otherwise. He’d still be doing it
Cohen was a fool. And as much as I thought I’d feel sorry for him. I don’t
He did trumps dirty work and told lies until the days trump stopped paying his attorney. He was a crook too. He deserved more jail time. Thesepeople are crazy. Money and power. He didn’t even take up for his yr old daughter when trump hit on her and said nasty things. That’s not much of a man. That’s a coward.

9. Michael Cohen a great family man - I read this as information and entertainment. As I was reading, I realized Michael Cohen paid the ultimate price for power which becomes seductive for so many smart people. I applaud his willingness to share; I am sad for him, his wife, children, parents, and in-laws for all they have endured. I wanted to not believe this but it represents dealing with a a truly narcissistic personality who has no loyalty to anyone but himself. Very sad…God Bless You and family Michael Cohen!

10. The Hand of the King - I didn’t know what to expect but I hadn’t expected what I just read. This is at once a mesmerizing first hand account of the bizarre, morally bankrupt person that is Trump and a deep dive into the pernicious effects of greed and hubris. The book flows from moment to moment, replete with references to back up claims that, at times, border on the fanciful. Anyone interested in how the Trump administration came to be, and more important, sustains itself, should read this book. As one of those precious and rare sources of information, a first hand narrative, Cohen’s book will surely become a primary reference for students and Scholars of this period of US history.

11. Unbiased, honest opinion. - I don’t usually write reviews however I was compelled to share my unbiased, honest opinion regarding this book. As a college student, I am very focused on my future and how politics play out is a serious piece of that pie. This book was telling as it adds, with some skepticism, a grain of sand to the others which shape the eroding confidence in our current administration. It reminds me of how a steady drop of water can erode a large rock. We can ignore the drops after a quick glance however each day, over time, the rock will no longer be intact. That’s the way I feel about this book, it’s core theology is deception. Sure its a opportunity to grab some cash, but a good lie has to be mixed with the basis of truth. That’s why I gave it stars. Not because it’s thrown together, but because there, among the well stacked house of cards is the foundation which is the truth. What truth? You decide for yourself as I did. abracadabra

12. Cults Are Fascinating... and Dangerous - This is a credible and detailed of how a secular cult can and does form. From The Branch Davidians to Heaven’s Gate, the lure and entrapment of cult leaders is both fascinating and dangerous. Like those who leave Scientology, It’s good Cohen has his chance to speak after coming out on the other side so we can learn from it.
2020-09-09
13. Not ghostwritten, another nail - You can tell he wrote it. The prose isn’t brilliant, but it’s not bad either— I’d expect as much from someone used to legal language writing his first memoir under immense pressure. Another book in the stack of damning testimonials, as if looking around wasn’t enough. If it’s ghostwritten, it’s called untrue. If it’s genuinely written by the author, it’s called poorly executed. If it’s too damning, it must be fake. If it’s in neutral language, it’s a psy-op. If it’s someone whose name we know, they’re looking for money. If it’s someone we haven’t heard of, they’re looking for fame. Google cognitive dissonance, thought reform, and the politically correct term “high control group.” How many people will have to be thrown under the bus for the supporters to realize he would do the same to them in a heartbeat? Let’s find out!
2020-09-09
14. Disloyal - I began reading the book the day I received it and I can’t get enough of it. I know Michael is telling the truth from personal experience. I just hope the public opens their eyes as to who we have as President. He is a racist and out for himself. Doesn’t care about the little people just cares about his own pocket. People open your eyes. more years of this and we will all be doomed.
2020-09-09
15. Is Cohen still in fact, loyal to “The Boss”? - This book was extremely underwhelming with few helpful insights on how to stop Trump. The book is full of non-apology, apologies. I hope Cohen will be active in the media and offer more than this book that reads like an extended issue of the National Enquirer does. I can’t help but wonder if this is by design and highly intentional. When someone loves someone as much as Cohen said he loved Trump that doesn’t just disappear one day. Did he in fact take that bullet for Trump? Is he in fact, still loyal to Trump? I felt like the fixer was trying to fix throughout the whole book. He will need to do a lot more than this book if he wants to atone for anything remotely close to his role in the decent of our country he claims to love.
2020-09-08
16. Laughable - You can tell this book was rushed and poorly written. Seems like purely opinion by a scorned employee to me. How can we take anything in this book seriously when there is no proof and it is coming from someone trying to get rich? My opinion is don’t waste the money, wish I could get mine back!

1. Great Book - I have read every book ever written by Horowitz, and this is right up there with the rest. He has an amazing insight into what’s really happening in this country, and it makes for some fascinating study. This man is a former radical, and his point of view goes a long was to explaining what the left is really up to. My hope is that we as a society will heed his words before it’s too late. I recommend this book to anyone looking for the truth. Vote Republican in , and God bless.

1. years later it’s actually happening - The reviews after its publication in can be valid because at that time only a portion of what was printed had happened . Many readers saw his authoring as robust conjecture or conspiracy. Now years and a pandemic later the book reads as a newspaper detailing several critical considerations of where America is headed. As a social scientist and researcher I have discovered the importance of reviewing differing perspectives of issues. This text was enlightening and manifested serious thoughts. Ten years ago I would have agreed with the critics, today I agree with the author.

2. Good book … Good food for thought. Build on it. - Good book. To anyone awake and using even the % grey matter scientifically accredited to us, there is undeniably a conspiracy within our life's iSpiral of events. The conspiracy has offspring, this is what we catch. Take what you can find, add salt and sweat, observation and research and track them. Authors like JM give you a course crash course to build on and we are better for combined we are a more knowledgeable and dangerous to the NWO's elite, and more likely to break free. Don't believe there are elephantine corporatocratic conspiracies afoot, that synchronicity is a more apropos word than coincidence? Think there is a big difference between fiction and non-fiction ... This is a good book ... some sound principle points to follow and build on.

1. Fear mongering at its finest - “Gender disphoria didn’t exhaust a couple generations ago” right, and in your time being openly queer was a crime so yeah people hid it. Love that your stance is “ I’m uncomfortable with people being themselves so it must be wrong. Quit speaking for those who didn’t ask you to

2. Wow - To think that the author legitimately wrote this, had it proofread, and still decided to publish this trash and tripe is not surprising in the least. How about, instead of attacking our community and our youth, engaging in positive thinking and understanding of the issues at hand and don’t set out to enflame anything just to make a quick buck?

3. DO NOT READ - This is a biased, transphobic book that basically tells parents that your kid is a girl and they are in a "craze" if they come out as trans and it will pass. The author tries to sound supportive but she is just making parents think its okay to be transphobic. Why don't they just talk to a therapist with the kids instead of relying on this transphobic, biased, stupid book?? /

4. Anyone saying this book is transphobic has obviously not read it - A fair assessment of the culture, parents, woke mob, and the need for us to question and support as parents, not just affirm. Lots of interviews with parents and transitioned people, it is exceptionally interesting. The woke culture doesn’t like questions though.

5. Transphobic and Insulting - This book is infantilizes trans men as confused teenage girls, but offers no real incite into the world of raising a trans masculine child. Apparently teenage trans men are just homophobic attention seekers, despite the common thread in all of the accounts being unsupportive, ill-informed, and/or dismissive parents. To any parents hoping this book will offer help in how to navigate your child’s newfound identity, I implore you to look elsewhere.

6. Excellent - Coming across gender critical perspectives and now reading this book has changed the way I see nearly everything going on in the Anglosphere, socioculturally speaking. I highly recommend reading this book, especially if you are like I was and had never really thought critically about the messages being promoted by this gender ideologue movement.

7. Searching for truth - This book takes courage and self confidence to read. It offers a different perspective. I believe the author and the study it is based on does not harbor any ill intent toward anyone. Instead, I believe there is strong desire to attempt understand. There is so much emotion and noise surrounding this subject matter and takes courage to venture into the fray. In the current social/political environment, it is common place for anyone who offers a perspective that differs from the passionate vocal groups run the risk of being burned to the ground. I give credit to the author for daring to step in and offer this perspective. Although the text can be a bit heavy handed in places, but my intuition tells me there are also truths with in the text. Don’t listen to the hype surrounding this book... purchase or borrow it and decide for yourself. Don’t close off differing perspectives based on someone else’s strong opinion. Be brave, trust your own intellect, be ever curious, and continue to search for truth.

8. Puts into words everything we’ve been experiencing - You know that feeling as a parent; that intuitively you know something isn’t quite right. But the mainstream media, social media, and the “experts” don’t have a word for it. Or insist you’re an -ist or a -phobe for questioning things. This book eloquently puts into words every single thing we knew in our guts was wrong and out of place, but I wasn’t finding discussed elsewhere. If you truly care about your daughter, you may find this helpful to read so that you can start to understand the underpinning issues contributing to this phenomenon.

9. Hate this!! - This book is so transphobic! I’m a transgender male and me and my husband read this book, going into it with a positive attitude thinking this was gonna be tips for a parent with a transgender child, but NO! It’s transphobic and rude!! I felt so attacked reading this it was giving me major dysphoria! I hate this book! Wish I could give it stars!!

10. well written and well thought out - This book far from being transphobic supports the trans community. What it does do is raise vital issue of underage girls permanently changing their bodies for the rest of their life’s best on mental issues that can be through. To be clear this is absolutely not about conversion therapy (which is completely misguided and wrong) but simple straightforward psychoanalysis for depression. Many rape victims want to make themselves asexual because of their assault. This is tragic. That because of their assault they want to permanently scar their bodies. It’s sad that now you can only be pro-trans by being anti-women. Again this book sets out all these issues very cogently and succinctly .

11. A must tead - I heard about this book on a radio station I listen to. What was being discussed was very interesting to me. I immediately got home and purchased it. I couldn’t stop reading. This book holds so much wonderful information for parents and teens. This book has prepared me to have some meaningful and important conversations with my children about the dangers of social media, the danger of peer pressure, and how to talk to them in a positive, and direct way. So many times I gasped in disbelief and disgust for the way our health system is getting away with destroying innocent kids without any remorse nor consequences. This book has opened my eyes, and my knowledge, and I will refer to it from time to time. Thank you Abigail Shriner for having the guts and bravery to put something like this together.

12. Not Transphobic - As a mental health clinician who works with trans and non binary youth, I want to sing the praises of this book. It is describing a phenomenon I have seen time and time again in many of my clients. If you are looking for a book to better understand trans issues and stories, this is not the book for you. This book isn’t really about trans folks, but rather the mental health of teenage girls. I have seen the exact paradigm the author describes played out in school, summer camp, and more clinical settings. It would be a mistake to assume this book invalidates trans folk’s existence. It does not. Nor should one draw sweeping conclusions about the trans community from this book, yet there is something going on that has very little to do with legitimate gender dysphoria. Americans are suckers for anything cloaked in the language of civil rights, yet we must acknowledge, the level of controversy around this book surely indicates the author is onto something. Again, this book is not about trans people. It is about mentally unhealthy teenage girls hijacking the trans narrative as a means of coping with patriarchal standards. There are very few things harder to be than a teenage girl (trans teenagers more so), and the availability of hormonal and transitional services for this population needs to be re-examined by professionals with a queer lens. Surely we can recognize the nuance of discussing this without invalidating or erasing the needs and stories of the LGBTQIA community. This is in fact another part of the story. A part that deserves to be discussed. End rant.

1. Thought provoking - This appears to be a timeless work having impact far greater than just the field of economics. The author delves into human social behavior in a way I’ve not seen before, laying a strong case for rethinking how our government should be organized - and how good intentions can lead to undesirable results. The author also gives great perspective on the Germany that emerged from WW and the conditions that allowed Hitler’s national socialism to take hold.

2. Prophetic, but not Constructive - Hayek's work makes a passionate and reasonable case concerning the consequences of planned economies. Drawing on his extensive personal and academic knowledge of affairs in Germany leading up to WWII, he proves beyond a reasonable doubt that National Socialism is first and foremost a form of Socialism. He goes on to show, that despite the good intentions of many on the Left, the consequences of such planning can lead only to totalitarianism. But while staunchly defending the 'old liberals' of the nineteenth century--those who adhere to participatory democracy and market economics--he proposes very little in regards to mitigating the very real risks inherent in capitalism, such as poverty, dehumanization, and the variability of markets. For what Hayek does say, though, it is well worth the read by those of any political or economic stripe.

1. New information - Reading this now and the new reports coming from the Durham report puts much of the information in the “questionable” mode. Trump certainly has his faults but he was unmercifully persecuted by the media. Now we know the facts and he was falsely accused of much. Woodward should make a comment concerning same.

2. Another great book! - Bob Woodward continues to expose the biggest con-man and subversion on the American people that has ever been perpetuated. The legacy of this pathological lying affliction on the country will be just that. One star reviews are magats who can’t likely read and are at this very moment googling every word I am writing. Trump doesn’t care about you or anyone but himself. He’d sell his mother down the river for a buck.

3. I love all the one-star ratings - If there is an author and journalist I would trust to provide us with accurate reporting using anonymous sources for deep background, it’s Bob Woodward. Thank you for your years of reporting and being a check on right-wing, authoritarian government. The one-star ratings from the Right are some of the best promos for this book.

4. The same stuff the left always says... - Funny how the left will read this book and hold on to every word. Read “Profiles in Corruption” and “Secret Empire” as well. Is it any wonder that the left only talks about the same issues.... they have personal financial involvement (family or self) in all their interests. Making claims about Russia, China and and not showing tax’s.... it’s the ‘cheaters mentality’ bringing up the things they did and/or are doing but put the blame on the President, classic move but you are all not intelligent enough lol

5. Amazing, and highly factual. - I love coming back to this book every few years just to read the reviews of angry MAGAts. It’s genuinely makes me smile, seeing these braindead sheep cry about a book reporting on everything the idiot in office, has done. Anyways, keep writing books that make them mad, it’s very enjoyable. Sincerely, An educated person :)

6. Ignore the Star reviews - After reading this it’s very clear to me that all these star reviews claiming “not factual” are just die hard Trump supporters that know nothing about Bob Woodward, and believe all , of Trumps lies despite them being obvious or debunked lies. I read this book after reading WaPo’s fact check team’s book on the Trump administration as well. The books tend to back each other up in major key areas. Bob Woodward is not a biased writer, he wrote some embarrassing books for almost all Presidents of our time since Nixon. It is a must-read if you care about this country at all.

7. Wow... - An inside look in the Trump White House that is completely free of bias. Woodward is very sure to use quotes around the phrases he obtained from “on the record” content, and then somehow manages a way to finish a phrase even if it might have been from an anonymous source. It’s truly a smart way of showing what real people think about the president and the situation going on in the White House, while Woodward covers his own skin so we won’t be accused of libel.

8. Well researched and written - Further confirmation of why the trump administration is the rolling dumpster fire that it is. Whether the Donald was a successful real estate developer is debatable but it surely didn’t prepare him to be a successful president. He lacks the character, temperament, and intelligence for the office. For sure we have problems and blame enough to go around, the Donald is not the savior, It will take decades to clean up his mess. When the economy sputters he will deny and deflect responsibility but eventually even his loyal supporters will understand they’ve been duped by this con man, serial liar, and narcissist. Trump will be recorded as the most inept president in our history and the the jerk that he is.

9. D. McNamara - Sometimes reporters investigate, gather facts, and tell a story. Woodward opts to just let a handful of sources blather out their hero stories, without much analysis. So John Dowd wanted a vehicle to poor-mouth Mueller and make his case that Trump has done nothing wrong - but just is amply a serial liar. There is no other voices to assess Dowd’s coarse legal analysis. Woodward just recites it, including every Trump gush about what a great lawyer Dowd is. Even the example Dowd gives of the former Galleon hedge Fund manager who was a poor witness goes by without acknowledgement that Raj was a sleazy inside trader and a Dowd failed spectacularly at trial. The Dowd chapters are but a plant by a Dowd to brag and serve his client while demeaning Mueller - who won’t leak to defend himself. Trump must have approved of Dowd sharing the leaked conversations between he and Trumo, lest Dowd would be facing serious ethical consequences. Woodward got used, and so did I buying this recitation of Trump insiders who found a willing transcriber of their self-serving soliloquies.

10. Steadfast - An outstanding, balanced look at the maelstrom on Pennsylvania Ave. There is not a single judgement passed in these passages- just page after page that feels like a run away train that’s leaking oil badly with no one at the wheel. Your dedication to the craft should be applauded. Thank you for your steadfast approach that allows its reader to fairly analyze the individual players pov... never judges, only listens. Bravo. -Chris Miller

11. Review of Woodward’s Fear - I came away from this book with real concern about the U.S. under Trump. He is by any means a real and present danger to our country. Yet to blame him for our nation’s multiple ills is to miss our own foolishness in ignoring the slow and steady decline in our values, civility and mutual respect. Don’t ask who the barbarians are, for we are them.

12. Must read - Whether you are for or against trump u will find this a fascinating book. I am not a trump fan but in some ways the book made me see some good in the man. I think he honestly believes what he is doing is right and that others are out to get him. On the other hand, it is clear that many, even most that deal with him, think of him as a pathological liar, thinks he knows what is best, and unwilling to listen to others. The South Korean trade agreement, his interest in breaking it, highlights his many weaknesses. Lastly, the book leaves the reader with wondering whether the Mueller investigation is legitimate.

1. Maybe he could have but he certainly didn’t - These folks knocked it out of the park again! Reviewing and its aftermath in a way that lends a stark context to the events, the authors provide chilling details that demonstrate how deranged and dysfunctional the end of Trump’s presidency became. Just wow…

2. It’s Nothing But Truthful and Factual - Once I started reading this book, I read nothing but the truth and facts about TFG’s awful last year of being President, and I am so glad that I bought the ebook version after seeing a hardback version of this at my college bookstore. I recommend reading this book! Nothing but truth and facts!

3. Just finished… AWESOME! - We listened to this book during our road trip across America, and it did not disappoint. Every single page is comprised of the most thorough sourcing of insiders I’ve ever seen (heard). Every single page comes from those closest to , the ones he endorsed and endorses. Every single page comes from those in the highest levels of our government, and even Trump himself. Every single page… Filled with endless, objective and unimpeachable truths about the person we elected to lead our nation, not destroy it. This book is not just modern non-fiction. It’s history in the context of us.

4. Insight can be painful and freeing - It gave me more insight into the last four years in the US, in a tangential but connected way to “Too Much And Never Enough.” Didn’t make me the least bit sympathetic to either Trump or Cohen, but it made me understand why things were the way they were, how Trump utterly ruins almost everything he touches. I’ll notice more — as I think we all will — if another tries to take his place.

5. The truth set us free - No horror movie can match the telling of the last year of President Chaos. The most powerful country on earth was in the hands of a wannabe dictator and the whole endeavor could have ended in tragedy. Thanks to these authors, we have a clear understanding of how close we were to the abyss and how a few principled officials kept us all safe in the end.

6. Huh? - I’d like to see the cition for the title of this book. I have never heard him say that. Nor has his actions ever portrayed that kind of thinking. He ALWAYS spoke of the American people helping him with his America First agenda. So if the title is a lie, I can only guess what the meat of this book is all about.

7. Superb! - I enjoyed reading this account of Donald Trump’s time n office. This factual description of what really occurred between and frightened me greatly. I am truly concerned for the future of democracy in the United States because of what this disturbed individual has unleashed in the country that I love.

1. American History - This is just another example of why our schools need to be teaching the truth about all of our history, not just the rosy pictures that don’t fit the truth! Our shared history, both past and present is full of stories that are painful to hear, but need to be told anyway! The more we understand the past, the least likely we will be to repeat it. America’s true greatness comes from correcting wrongs. And the sooner we acknowledge the wrongs, the quicker we can become the nation we SHOULD be!

1. Disillusionment and antiquity - The author is having an identity crisis that blames education, liberals, and those with other perspectives rather than a true look at differing ideals and critical thought. What was good and nostalgic for him and his perspective is definitely not what was ideal for many others and rather weigh his experiences with other communities, it must be a political agenda. Simple mindedness cloaked in intellectualism at its best.

2. Pete Hegseth probably leaned hard on his co-writer - If you’ve ever listened to Pete Hegseth speak on air at Fox News, you get a clear sense that he is an average thinker. He is certainly not a serious writer. Writing is how one truly learns to think — to wrestle with ideas — and sometimes come to realize what you believe might be wrong. The book is an elegy for a the past of a white boy who probably decorated his bike to ride in the Fourth of July Parade. To him, Progressives are an enemy. To Progressives, Pete Hegseth is not an enemy at all, just a man trapped in a nostalgic America that frankly didn’t do a great job of telling real truth about our nation’s darker side. Even with that occasional darkness, America is still a model responsible for freeing more humans and motivating nations to pursue honest Democracy. Progressives love America too. We just accept, she isn’t perfect

1. Greater than what I thought. - It is as astonishingly bewildering as it is politically incorrect and thought through. Once one starts perusing it and imbibing all the in-depth info, it’s almost I posible to stop turning its pages Over. Moreover, it unmask the nefarious machinations of the left-leaning politicians and the socialist party in a way that leaves the reader with a nuanced view of the leftist propaganda. As an immigrant religious person, I recommend it to those concerned with godly society where equality, justice, and the inalienable rights such as our intrinsic Godgiven dignity can be enshrined and protected.

2. stars - stars...true to their own rating. One leftist said he was arrested for campaign finance. I just wonder if that person even knew the extent of the measly donation that should’ve been at most a measly warning, a slap on the wrist or a wag of a finger. But in the era of Obama...because Dinesh wrote damming books and articles about the chosen one, well Dinesh must do time for his measly donation and the hard left Southern District AG, a friend of Obama’s would make it happen. This book is concise. It’s a bitter pill for the lefty which swallowing truth is a gag reflex for them. Sorry lefties. But not sorry. The truth of history, of socialism is un-erasable. History does repeat itself and with terrible consequence.

3. Very good book - A great book that exposes the Left for their true intentions. Well written and concise, as to not drag out longer than it has to. (Notice all of the one star reviews don’t give any reasons why they disliked it. Likely Leftists that never read it trying to drag its rating down because it exposes their evil world view.)

4. Couldn’t get passed the Preface - There was so much misinformation and underdeveloped thought in the preface that I could not continue. Please note, in this author was convicted for illegal campaign finance and is now the person conspiracy theorists want to listen to regarding protection from corrupt government officials/systems? Doesn’t add up. NEXT.

5. A call to sanity, a perspective on where we have gone - I have always enjoyed D’Souza, but this book was really helpful in gaining a historical perspective on how America has skewed from its roots. I especially enjoyed the defense of capitalism and a perspective on Trump, as a businessman, and as a leader.
