1. Disappointed - There are some interesting points but I found nothing new or groundbreaking in this book. The author relies too heavily on epidemiology studies which are meant to develop theories not as proof or evidence. People surveyed in these studies routinely misrepresent or misremember their dietary habits. The author does point to several clinical trials and research studies where biomarkers where measured in response to an single food or molecules but far too few in my opinion.

1. Doesn’t live in the real world - This is the most absurd book I have seen. The idea of people being able to live in the real world with this type of food plan is just plain absurd. I would rather be a big unhealthy (glucose level at ) then implement this ridiculously restrictive plan into my life. Nothing about this plan or even this detox is feasible for normal working people who live in the real world!

1. Gets to the heart of IF - I’ve been practicing what I thought was IF for a couple of years. At first it was great and I lost pounds quickly. I then hit a plateau and was stuck. No matter what I tried nothing. Reading Fast, Feast, Repeat not only reintroduced the basics of IF but in a real way in a language I understood. As IF, becomes more popular, there are all kinds of claims that just don’t work. Gin relates her experience and research to dispel the myths and focus on what works. Love the book and I’m already seeing some results and more importantly feeling better. Thank you!

2. A Must Read for the IFer - This book is chocked full of information that is easy to understand because Gin is a great storyteller. But I also love that she gives you her sources in case you want to learn about the science behind it. After reading this book o felt so prepared to start IF, and it was easier than I thought. Burn the diet books and read this book!

1. Wish I could give no stars - This book makes me angry every time I see the title. My sister was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and put all her faith in this book. She went on a completely plant based vegan diet thinking it would stop her cancer from reoccurring after her first chemo. What actually happened was that she got so thin, lost so much weight that she could not do chemo when the cancer came back. She was so deficient in nutrition they wanted to give her nutrition counseling. She progressed into not being able to eat at all and diet of starvation. In our family the irony of “How not to Die” is to not do what she did. I strongly recommend you stay far away from this book.

2. Infomative and entertaining - This is a book that is jam packed with important information on how to nurture your body by eating the healthiest foods and getting more exercise than most people get. The authors write in such a way that the information is clear and at times humorous. I plan to read it again to make sure I didn't forget anything.

3. Changed My Life! - This book was the biggest health paradigm shift of my life. it is so compelling that I couldn’t help but start making positive changes in the way I ate from the moment I read the first chapter. My blood pressures is reduced and my energy is increased. I feel like I have my life back in a way I actually never had it before. So grateful.

4. How Not To Die - Must read for those whose are researching a Whole Foods Plant Based diet. Dr. Greger gives all the available science, to-date, and allows one to make their own conclusions. I especially like the second section where Dr. Greger provides insight as to what he eats. I would also recommend the audio version (only found currently on Audible) of this book as a suppliment. There is so much information that I have to re-read (an re-listen) to absorb it all.

5. How not to die - Totally enjoyed the straight forward truth and clinically supported trials results. Looking forward to applying whole food plant based diet to my life, nice to have a simple way to have helpful information to further where I am currently at eating wise. I am looking forward to aging healthily and enjoying good quality of life as I age currently years old and very healthy.

Best guide to eating healthy ever! - I am a physician and deal day in and day out with patients that battle obesity and diabetes with little improvement despite repeated visits in the office with re-educating them about weight loss methods (decrease calories and exercise more). My default reason for their failure has been to blame the patient for obviously ‘not following directions’. Now I know why they continue to fail. The Obesity Code completely changed my thinking about weight loss. I too have struggled with the ‘calories in less than calories out’ and likewise would eventually fail. Taking Dr. Fung’s advice, I have finally lost the weight and kept it off (and my fatty liver resolved as well!)
The medical field needs to completely re-educate itself about the hormonal cause of obesity so we can better treat our patients.

2. Reader of Obesity Code - Just finished reading Obesity Code and even tho I am a RN for many years, I found the information researched by Dr Fung extremely beneficial to me for my weight management. He does an amazing job explaining our body and why we gain weight over time despite strong efforts to maintain. I highly recommend anyone who has suffered with managing their weight to purchase as a whole new understanding will unfold.

3. Very informative - This truth about obesity is finally coming to light! Thank you Dr. Fund for your research and for sharing this information. For once in my life I feel like I'm not abnormal. I just have a sensitivity to insulin that was being worsened by doing everything the so-called experts told me to. But no more! I'm now on a LHCF diet and I'm the healthiest I've ever been!

1. changed my life - I have been following the suggestions in this book for weeks. I lost lb to my ideal weight which i haven’t achieved since being on a very unhealthy diet in college. I have much more energy and wake up feeling energized instead of sluggish and exhausted. The evidence based science appeals to my background as a health professional, and the explanations are made clear for everyone. The plan is practical and it works. My arthritic knees don’t hurt anymore, even after long walks. I don’t remember ever feeling this good. I would recommend this material to everyone interested in being healthier and feeling better, not just those of us with blood glucose management concerns.

2. Terrific Book! - This was my first ebook - I am the library type, frugal - and I am so glad I read it! I work in the nutritional field and have followed a plant based diet for years and now I have a medical professional on my side! So many people told me my diet wasn't good, yet it is very similar to Dr. B's! I hope to follow the ideas and especially like the motivation the book gave me to exercise my brain! 1. A concept that deserves more research - My doctor recommended I try this approach to eating. Although I've dropped -/ lbs in three weeks while eating % more calories than I should (No exercise yet), it is not a weight loss diet. It is a diet approach that avoids those foods which might stress your immune system over time. The food recommendations are tailored to your specific ABO blood type. The author does an excellent job of explaining the scientific validity and history of the concept. It is not a new concept. Other doctors--including the author's father--have explored the concept earlier. It has it's critics--but very few--and none of those have offered evidence to refute the thinking; they have criticized the lack of formal studies that prove the concept. As for my experience, it's been only a few weeks that I've adopted the recommendations but already the chronic bloating I suffered from has stopped. I'm anxious to see if I reap other health benefits by year's end. I recommend you visit the author's website and especially the site's discussion boards for a preview of the concept.

Dr. Cate Shanahan is a pioneer in the world of nutrition, and she goes about nutrition the right way by looking at the effects food has on our genes at the cell level. 1. Body Love - Loved learning how NOT to eat - times per day and still be healthy. As someone who has hypothyroid and reactive hypoglycemia this book is life saving & changing! Blood sugar balance is no joke and can literally send your body into a complete frenzy. 2. Great book - I switched my eating habits but when I first read this book I wasn’t mentally prepared too change my eating habits until dieting just wasn’t working now that I don’t eat meat and only eat vegetables and some fish at times I have lost weight my skin look better and I feel better and mentally I just feel like I have control of my life and that’s a wonderful feeling itself.

3. AWESOME BOOK! MUST READ! - I have been doing the meal a Day lifestyle for months now. About weeks after starting my meal a day I began reading this book and taking notes.
