1. Insightful read - I had never really thought about the asset and liability classes. Raised by a single mother who was a hard worker but missed out on several amazing deals in her life like a $k house that is now worth $ million. I was brought up in that world but my wife and I are trying to break free of being salary-only. Next step is to look into our cash flow and get it flowing into companies that can utilize the full value pretax.

2. Valuable lessons yet repetitive - Title says it all. There’s plenty about this book that’s worth the read. It makes you think critically about your relationship with money, and it’s a must read for any amateur entrepreneur. However, the book reaches a point where the author repeats himself without offering any further insight or conclusions. Toward the end it felt like he was looking to meet a word count.

3. Essential for a successful financial future. - This book changed the lives of both me and my father. The language is kept simple, for those worried about the confusing nature of financial literacy. I could not be more grateful for the lessons that I’ve learned in this book and, as a -year old black male, I cannot wait to apply all of these steps in my life. Looking forward to reading more of Kiyosaki’s work.

4. Mindset focused - I read this book to learn how to create passive income and create wealth. The author spent most of the time stressing the importance of “money making money” or “making money work for you”, but teaching you very little on how to do so, besides stating a few examples on how he was able to find real estate properties, but again, teaching you nothing about how to invest in real estate. I learned only a few key important lessons, but not much. The book doesn’t teach any strategies or formulas or anything that’s actionable. It’s mostly focused on mindset, which if I didn’t have, I wasn’t going to find this book in the first place. Towards the end it tells you to develop your financial intelligence by ways such as reading books, I find that to be a little ironic.

1. Accessible, wise, useful! - I’ve been teaching a financial workshop and one of my students asked for a companion book. This lines up nicely with my own syllabus, with its strong emphasis on the time value of money. Sabatier has done an excellent job of presenting sound financial principles without falling into the trap of recommending debt avoidance and shaming people for, say, buying a cup of coffee. Highly recommended!

2. Not what I expected - Unfortunately, when I started reading this book I thought it would give me some tools to invest, and duplicate my money. The book merely focus on savings and retirement. Also, pages is way to long for what I am getting. I stated loosing interest when I was on page . There is a section from the author that will ask you for feedback or input about ways I apply for saving money. Right after I sent an e-mail, I have been getting lots of e-mails from random websites. I don’t know how that happened. The book merely shows you what your future will be years if you start saving in your k. Too many tables and formulas. I really lost interest ...

3. Everything you need to know about Financial Freedom - Love, love, loved this book. This is one of the few Financial books I have read this year and by far my favorite. It explains so much. I didn’t think I could learn anything new with so many books out, but this books talks about so much more and explains in details so that you can better understand the topics. Would definitely read again and recommend to everyone.

4. Life changing!! - I first found out about the book through the Financial Independence podcast. This book has been exactly what I’ve been looking for. It’s only been a couple weeks since buying it, but I’ve been learning so much. I consider it a MUST READ for anyone who wants to take control of their life.

5. Well done Grant - Financial Freedom is a must read for millennials and anyone who is getting a grasp on reframing how they think of money. The numbers make sense and an actionable plan is provided in a well presented framework by Grant. His story is not miraculous, but his insight and perspective on money and life is eye opening and powerful.

1. Misleading Title - This book has too many anecdotal side stories that have nothing to do with money (many are about doctors/medicine-which is understandable because his father was a doctor). But when you set out to write a book about something, it should be entirely focused on the subject. Also, he throws in a bunch of pieces of articles written by others about American history. It’s pretty much useless content. I found myself skimming over a lot of it. However, he does have some interesting stories and good advice about investing.

2. Such an easy read - I was looking for a financial guidance book when I stumbled upon this gem. I am a business major who studies finance quite a bit. The author takes complicated topics to understand and the importance behind them in your life and explains it in such an easy to comprehend story style. Every principle learned in this book is taught through stories and personal testimonies of some of the most successful financial role models in the world. I found myself unable to put the book down because I was so excited to hear how the author would explain the next topic. The author makes the next chapter so enticing like a tv show where you just can’t wait for the next episode to come out so you can watch it. So many people ask the questions, “why why why?” About everything. This books explains the why to every single topic so there is no question left over. Amazing book. Highly recommend you take the time to read it, you won’t regret it!

4. Financial Health Tips - The Psychology of Money offers common insights on how to manage and conceptualize money. There is value here, as it positively altered my perspective on personal monetary policies. To be concise: this is a light, ease read but worthwhile nonetheless. Think of it as a collection of pithy financial health tips. If you’re looking for theory or algorithms, this is not that book.

5. Title fits what he talks about. - This book was very good and informative, but for me there were too many stories and I understand that you’re trying to make us see a point of view that we may not have had before that story, but I would still like to be able to take away more key pointers, something in this book that I feel was not there. This book is definitely overhyped.

6. Simply wonderful! - What a fantastic read! The postscript is reason enough to want to buy and read this book. I have yet to find a more perfect synopsis of America’s economic history and the resultant actions of us as American consumers, in a concise yet thorough examination. This book also bucks the trend of the proverbial, “Everyone should do this with their money” ideal. It brings up excellent points to consider but that ultimately, those money decisions need to make sense for you and your family. Highly recommended!

7. Human nature in the lens of money - This is one of the better books I’ve read the last few years. It’s mainly the idea of understanding the foolish ways we think that interrupt our chances of saving money. It’s really a great book. Each chapter is too the point and impactful. I recommend it to everyone

8. Sanity In Pages - Speaking of narratives we want to be true so we tell ourselves a story to make it true - a point of psychology this book makes - reading this book, especially bc of it's title, helps me feel I earned an extra credential as a person managing his own money. For me, it didn’t yield goosebump ah-ha insights that changed my paradigm of how I feel about money, but it did reveal key issues to make me feel wiser. Am I wiser? Doesn’t matter as long as I feel it. Nice job Morgan. I recommend it. Especially for young investors.

9. BUY NOW !!!!! - Common sense goes a long way when writing a Financial book . The sense of feeling when you get to relate to most of what you can understand when reading. At a time where things don’t matter at the rate of people dying of covid . It’s a blessing to have a book that tells you what’s the most important reason to live long and make money . Point blank a breath of fresh air in reading . Buy it and you won’t regret it .

1. Click bait with no info on how to do anything. - Basically the author tells you to buy good assets not bad ones, those who work for money are basically pathetic and real estate is the only asset that’s worth anything. He says a lot of common sense stuff that you do get taught in school. Honestly, he makes money off of real estate and writing a book that is more or less click bait because it tells you nothing about how to do any of the things he says you need to do. Hard pass if you want legit actionable advice.

2. I’m still on my learning journey, this was step one - There was stuff I agreed with and stuff I didn’t agree with. I’m still trying to understand this money game so I guess reading this book was the first step, even though I couldn’t grasp all of it. I would say people should still read this book to at least understand the foundation of money and the root of most, if not all our issues with finance.

3. Opens the mind - This book really opened my mind look at money in a different way than I have ever been taught. It also showed where I made mistakes in my past by not taking action and saying I don’t have the money. I will have my two daughters read this so maybe they won’t make the same mistakes I made. I’m not one that likes to read but the way this is written grabs you and doesn’t let go. Thanks for writing the book and the lessons learned. Time to take action.

4. I HATE READING... but I couldn’t put this book down... - This is my first review of a book EVER in my life. I come from from a family who loves reading, I myself always hated it. I try too, but get bored and never open the book again. I bought this book and let me tell you that this is the first book ever in my life that I loved! I couldn’t put this book down. I am currently still reading it but as I go though my days and hear people talking about money this book and it’s teaching always come to my mind and everything in the book is true. I see the connections. I recommend this to everyone!

1. Formatting issues even in summary - This book is closed to be unreadable. Well for serious readers. All reading methods use the summary to get a mental model of the whole book by reading chapter and sections. But in this book, they are all empty. Instead of reporting the actual real title in the book, it shows “chapter , chapter , chapter , …” So literaly no way to know how the book is organized or how to quickly find a subject in the book. I am amazed that “professionnals industry” can screw up so simple things as a summary. It’s just like nobody read a book or nobody care.

2. eVersion Legibility & Missing Data - This review is not on the book itself which is an investment classic. Rather it is about the e-version I purchased from iTunes. This is a type of book that I read where I highlight, make margin notes, and study the explanatory tables, charts, and diagrams. I also make use of the index looking for one thing or another in the book. The tables in this version are barely legible, in some cases not really legible. Trying to study a table that reinforces a statement in the book is sometimes guesswork. The index is useless as it does not contain any page numbers. Topics, names, etc. are there but no page numbers. Fortunately I also have an older print copy, so I can find some of what I’m searching for. So I have a work around. But I have to agree with an another reviewer that I would not have bought the e-version if I would have known about the legibility and index issues.

1. Very repetitive - This could have easily been shortened to / of the current volume. The author repeats himself a lot. A lot of the principles are essentially identical. I was expecting more focus on investing and the principles around that. After all, the guy is a famous big shot hedge fund manager. That was barely touched on. The book started well with personal stories but it slowly disintegrated into just what seems to be a barely organized dump from his diary. I assume the author just got tired after writing page . Overall, not a read I would recommend. It feels like a waste of my time but I’m almost at the end and I want to get it in my library of finished books.

2. Great Read - Took me a while, but well worth the time to finish it. It is both reflective and instinctive. You will almost have to internalise the idea meritocracy concept and radical truth wisdom behind it. You cannot just read the book, you have to feel it, live it to realise how powerful it’s meaning. Thank you Ray.

3. Principles - I would recommend this book to anybody who is willing to look within themselves wanting to improve. Principles changed how I viewed leadership and taught me about meritocracy. The thing I love most is principles is that it challenges the way I view my own leadership and accountability. Great great book.

4. Incredible dissection of an Idea Meritocracy - As someone new to management, learning to develop a style tailored toward efficiently while managing vision and purpose, this book has been an incredible addition to my mind’s expansion of meritocratic leadership. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to reflect on their current life and work principles and the values that guide our on going journey to success. For a life full of meaningful work, meaningful relationships, and the radical truth and transparency necessary to achieve it, I present you this book.

1. A TRUE MIRACLE DIET - Miracle diets always start with “I lost an unheard of amount of weight within a week.“ This great book by Tiffany Alliche, aka “The Budgetnista,” is like that but with your DEBT. Pre publication of Get Good With Money, I took advantage of Tiffany’s program, Live Richer Academy; and, within less than one month of following this budget program, I literally lost $ in debt, and gained $ in an emergency savings. Tiffany’s book, which is a compilation of her LRA program, is detailed and yet easy to understand for those who have had trouble creating and maintaining a budget and money goals. More importantly, the advice and lessons provided here will stay in the back of your mind, when, like myself, you may find yourself out impulse or stress shopping. I had followed Dave Ramsey for years, but was never able to get the results I had with Tiffany’s information. This is one small investment that will pay off immensely.

1. The Best Book On Gaining Financial Independence - This book opened my eyes in a myriad of ways. For starters, the idea that your money is your life energy, now forces me to look at what I spend my money on as a direct exchange for my time; mind blowing. It also gave me new perspective on work life balance, and truly asking myself what would I do in my life if I didn’t have to work? I highly recommend this book for anyone who wants to escape the matrix of hour work weeks, and experience true freedom.

2. Eh. First three chapters were best. - Great insights. Very long winded and fluffy. The age of the book is evident in the writer’s style. Nonetheless, full of useful tips. Five stars if the sections irrelevant to money were cut out. Life advice is appreciated but the frequent tangents make the author seem unfocused.

3. Brilliant, simply brilliant - This book does more for you than budgeting or scrimping. It can transform your relationship with money, so spending less is more enjoyable, not a hardship; but only if you are willing to do the work. The exercises in the book walk you through all you need to do. After working through this book, I went from credit card debt and k loans to spending less than I make, and consistently saving more and best of all doing it without deprivation, or suffering.

1. Solid - The book is mainly focused on trading psychology. Don’t pick this up if you are looking for strategies or TA guides. Over all enjoyed this book. It’s a relatively quick read. The author primarily used analogies and stories to get his point across. At times it’s rather repetitive but the author has some solid points that he wants to hammer into our brain. I would recommend this book for any trader at any experience level. I’ve learned quite a bit about the human mind through this book (even outside of the markets). I now have a better understanding of the complex emotions that I’ve experienced while reading and how many (if not most) of these beliefs/responses are self deprecating. The author focuses primarily on developing consistency and explains how holding that as a goal can perpetuate a trader into all in which they desire. I will be applying several of these concepts to my own trading and recommend this book to fellow traders.

2. Really? What an absolute joke! - Here, I’ll go ahead and tell you how this book reads…. Trading mindset, is all about the trading mindset, it’s because you need to be in the trading mindset. If not in the trading mindset then there is no trading mindset which is imperative to the aforementioned trading mindset. You are the trading mindset, we are the trading mindset, we should all be the trading mindset. Insert conclusion. What an embarrassing book to be the author of.

3. PROVIDES SPECIFIC REMEDIES - CONSISTENCY. CONSISTENCY. CONSISTENCY. If you have the trading problems addressed in this book, then the book will be useful. I took off one star because the writer uses that turgid, preposition-ridden language common to his field. Reviewers who complain about repetitiveness have a point, but if you are motivated to improve your trading and have wondered why you are not making progress quickly enough, undermine your gains with disastrous losses, and cannot be CONSISTENT, then the language and repetitiveness are a small price to pay. The last two chapters helped me the most, but the concepts would have gone over my head had I not read the preceding chapters. The Attitude Survey and detailed Exercise at the end of the book were helpful.

4. Great even for beginners! - As a professional poker player looking to transition into trading, Douglas does a great job of covering the most important facet of both industries, that being the mental side, in which most of your money is won or lost. I have never even made a trade before but I believe reading this book before hand is definitely setting me on the correct path early on to look objectively at my process as I go along and improve. Will definitely be a keeper on my bookshelf.

5. Trading in the zone - I am new to trading I have only studied to understand the market so far. I feel very fortunate to have had the priviledge of buying and reading this book. The awareness given in this book has helped me to think like a casino owner rather than a casino player, I'm using this illustration symbolically. Thank you Mr Douglas, Joe Cardenas

6. Universal success - Trading in the Zone walks the reader through the steps not only of trading successfully but of enjoying the fulfillment of a healthy successful life. Even if securities trading is not your main focus, the main theme of this book will promote several aha moments that relate to other aspects of life. The lack of one star is due to the writers tendency to linger on one example when the point was made in the first paragraph. If you can look beyond some of the literary flaws in his style into the meat of the subject you will discover several diamonds in this rough.

1. Everyone needs this book!!! - Full disclosure I was provided an advance digital copy of the book, but my review and thoughts are my own having just finished my first read-through. I also purchased a hard copy for my desk. I have watched, read, and listened to my fair share of financial advice/help books/tv shows/podcasts, and this book is quite refreshing and takes on more than just the bottom line of making more and spending less. That is the quintessential cookie-cutter advice from the likes of some well-known financial gurus. When I say refreshing...here is what I mean...the book is written as if you were having a conversation with a ride-or-die friend that understands there is more to you than your not having a plan for retirement and long-term saving. Tori talk to us from where ever we stand in life and she confronts the societal pressures that we feel to get everything right financially. She doesn't just tell you to do this or that, but rather she makes you question what you really want out of the money you earn. It is an easy read with tons of lessons not just from Tori, but from others colleagues in the financial realm which I thought was wonderful that she didn't behave as if she created the wheel and that only her plan for me would work. Often financial coaches or gurus create programs and plan to market to consumers. These plans are marketed as though what they are teaching is a brand-spanking new concept and they just invented it. When in actuality many of the strategies have been around for decades. They are being revamped and modified for the times we currently live in. I appreciate Tori's candidness. She doesn't take credit for all the nuggets of wisdom that she brings to us in this book. I appreciate her sharing the spotlight in her book with others to bring us new insights. Of course, if you are a woman in need of money management advice this book is a must-have for you, but this book is for anyone, not just women regardless of the title. I can see guys loving the feel of the book just as much as I did. It was the candor and the rapport that is present throughout each chapter. Whether you have no clue about financial planning and management or you are well versed in the matter again I think there is more to take away from this book than just Tori's advice on money and spending it is about life and also about the narratives and unwritten rules that we all unconsciously and some consciously play by in our society. I can't wait to get my physical copy, so I can mark off my passages. This book probably won't end up on my bookshelf because it will be sitting on my desk with my notebook as I work through this journey to financial freedom!

1. Too Many Commercials - I purchased from Apple Books and with the layout, it felt like I spent every few pages reading testimonials; like being inundated with ads/commercials during a TV show - it affected the flow. I would rate higher if the testimonials were grouped together in an appendix or removed completely (with a link to read them online).

2. Amazing Book - For those of you seeking self help books on finances, this is that and more. Dave Ramsey takes a spiritual turn on money and makes it all make cents. Haha. Money pun. Anyways this not only helped my now year old mind understand the green guys on the bills more and what they can do for me but also let me back to God, who I’d given up hope on for a little while. Thanks for all the help Dave /

3. Financial Freedom! - This book is incredible. I tore through it and was inspired to change my financial situation the second I finished. As someone with an MBA, I felt it should be much more complicated to win financially. It's not! This book walks you through the "Babysteps" and gives you a clear roadmap to get rid of debt, utilize your most important wealth building tool (your income), and start building wealth. This book also goes over insurance and other topics that are essential to getting and keeping your financial world intact. I started listening to the podcast, read this book, started using the Everydollar budgeting app when that was released, and now it is a way of life. You will find, if you are married, this will draw you closer to your spouse as you team up to envision, then work toward your goals. If you are looking for a way to turn around, simplify, or even fine tune your personal situation. Buy this book!

4. Great financial book minus the religious stuff - I love mathematics, science, finance, psychology... Let's just say overall knowledge. This is a must read for financial geeks and those generally interested. Its source of greatness stems from a simple formula- turn a problematic whole, into smaller more manageable parts. Genius in its simplicity. The must-have psychological additive is hope, derived from two well known sources; ) triumphant real life stories, and ) religion. The book could have hit higher on the scale had religion been kept out of it. I found it curious that dave's advice oscillated from "use your common sense when taking financial advice from 'x'" and "listen and trust God." To me, it was as if he was saying to use common sense after you educate yourself in finance but divorce yourself of scientific knowledge and common sense when applying religion. Too inconsistent for me and almost hypocritical. He uses religion as a measuring stick when applying humanitarian uses to wealth. The humanitarian appeal sufficed my dear Dave. The financial advice for those of us not well versed in macro and micro economics was spot on. Anyone interested in paying down debt must arm themselves with his simple message. Anyone interested in my financial biometrics... years old, debt free, $, in k, % pretax into retirement, rent not own home, currently working on my emergency fund. Good luck everyone!! ;-)

6. Great Book - This book was just amazing, opened my mind up so many things and just not only about money. This book covers so many different aspects that make so much sense just by reading it one time, it's definately not a get rich scheme but its definately a get rich scheme if your patient and smart with the money you make NOW! I am buying another of Dave's book because this one was purely incredible. Gave this book to my brother-in-law for christmas and he read it in days and already has his budget set in for the new year.

1. A classic, from my favorite money geek - I am reading this book for the third time. The first was back in the nineties. I have read about eight books overall on investing but I keep coming back to this one. And I buy it again every time. And while many examples in this book are outdated, it still captures the essence of honest, straightforward, and indepth investment advice which can be profitable too. I think the biggest lesson I have extracted from this book is, do your own homework and believe in your abilities.
It took me over ten years to realize that not only is he right but his advice is invaluable. You have to do your own fundamental analysis to thrive in the market. And why do I do it, well to get back some of the tax I pay and to fight inflation.
Mutual funds are nothing more than glorified savings accounts that occasionally lose money. Money market funds became a zero sum game years ago and recently opened the door to turning negative. Municipal bonds are boring and options/futures/commodities are not for amateurs. Short selling requires margin accounts which are too not suitable for amateurs. Day trading and technical analysis are often shortcuts to bankruptcy court.
Having said that, take his advice on your own risk. Over the years I have followed his advice on numerous occasions. And while I did well overall, the instructions did not pan out every single time. This is not to say that the advice was wrong, it was just applied to the wrong company.
One time I bought a stock applying his formula at $ and sold it at $ making the downpayment for a mid size house in the high flying western Washington market. To a smaller extent that happened on - other occasions. Other times I lost small sums of money mostly because I missed parts of the story due to exuberance.
Again having said all that, I missed few valuable opportunities when I did not follow his advice. I was one of the first people to realize the value of amazon growing in my backyard and yet I never bought a share. Back in my boss told me you can use a credit card on amazon but not on most other places on the internet. That was my key to realize that amazon not only sells books and computers but is also the world's safe deposit box for information that other companies valued most. But I did not develop the story, and the years went by. Even as far as , I could still have bought amazon for $ a share and I did not. Look at it now trading in the $ a share range. I just reminisce. I am not regretful or bitter because by not buying I did not lose anything after all.
Note: I have read his next two books, and they are not worth a dime. They are only commercial artifacts meant to capitalize on his name and reputation, probably by a publishing house greedy manager.

1. Good quick read - This is a very basic book about Buffett's strategy of examining financial statements. If you do not have any background in finance or accounting this is an excellent book for you. If you have some experience in those fields it will be basic. It is a good review of what to look for in different financial statements. Only took a few hours to read.

Robert seems to understand that he can make a lot of money spinning things a thousand different ways and selling them to you, you E wanting to become B/I!

1. Interesting, but... - Dave Ramsey is my idol on financial issues, being on baby step myself - but that's another book. There were very interesting, very "Dave" stories throughout the book, but I found it to be a tough read. I guess if I owned a business, it could solve a few problems and would be very interesting - maybe life changing. One thing I learned is that I probably wouldn't want to work for Dave. I can see that the book has potential. It illuminates one of my favorite radio rock stars a little better, but all I can give is a three. If you own a business, maybe you'd give it a or even a .

2. Must Read - I just finished this book. I have owned my own business years and wished i read it years ago. My education continues with this book, a must read for anyone that has employees.
I don't read many books twice, but this is one that i will read many times and enjoy the common sense it brings. Thanks to Dave Ramsey.

3. Nuts and Bolts Inspirational Manual for Business Owners - This is my first experience with Dave Ramsey and I am thoroughly impressed. He literally takes you through every step of starting and running a business successfully, with a combination of practicality, humor and a sprinkling of spirituality. As a (very) small business owner, it is a relief to have things spelled out in a non-thoretical way. As he says, this is the playbook for his business, laid out.
(I was so impressed I had to check out his actual business, and downloaded his other book, The Total Money Makeover. Another winner.)
Dave is a Christian and he admits up front the he runs his business and finances based on biblical teachings, but he only alludes this very occasionally. Solid, inspirational, practical business audiobook. And formatted by chapter, hallelujah! Why aren't all audiobooks formatted like this?

1. McGraw-Hill professional's MediaCenter - There seems to be some confusion. The th Edition contains Investor Written Contemporary that a Student may find useful. In order to fit the Contemporary McGraw-Hill removed some Chapters from the Book itself. The Books Appendix and missing Chapters are available for PDF download at the McGraw-Hill Professional’s MediaCenter Online. Bonds were the focus of these Chapters. The print version comes with a CD that contains the Appendix and Chapters. I have previously read the () Edition. I find the written contemporary adds something. Although, I admit having to download more PDF files for the complete Book lacks convenience. Apple does have the ( ) Edition available for readers who wish to skip the contemporary and just read the Book as is.

1. Useless - Cannot believe I spent time and money on this book. This book is completely useless. It starts out by telling you not to use technical analysis and more specifically indicators like RSI, MACD, etc but then it goes on explaining how to profit from simple candlestick patterns like double tops and support and resistance levels, shooting starts, etc. no single mention of fundamental analysis. Probably the most useless FX book I’ve ever read. Apple, I want my money back. This book should not be offered by your book store.

1. Success - As with many traders starting out on their journey, seeking to master this industry called active trading, I went to the local bookstore with the mindset to treat it like studying for classes in college. Since the first book, which was not from the Pristine library, I was not gaining confidence, certainty, and authority in my trading approach. Many people treat the market like discovering some secret or hidden treasure. I am a logical, mathematical minded person and a trading system has to make since with the environment it is being applied to. Questions should come with answers and answers should have explanations. After purchasing material from different people I came across Oliver Velez and The Pristine trading system. The other trading systems are collecting dust. I have purchased Swing trading, Power (Guerrilla, Micro, & Core) trading, this book, and others. I am still studying daily, or as needed, with a schedule and routine but with market respect and confidence. I highly recommend this book and other materials from the Pristine Trading organization.
