Tom Cruise as the role of Captain Mitchell(Maverick) is awesome and the fact that he came back to portray Mav at an older age so many years after the original is amazing!!! 3. Not a pop music fan - I’m a metal guy. I love this movie. It’s one of the best action movies ever made. I always thought Lady Gaga was talented but nothing really connected with me. But Hold my Hand is absolutely beautiful. The music is soaring and inspirational. Lady Gaga’s talent is on full display here. Her voice is amazing and powerful. I lost my sister this year, I know this song is not about that, but it inspires me. I’m so glad it was there for me.

4. perfect, just perfect - i’ve seen a lot of people complain about the one republic song in here, and all of i have to say is that they needed a fun upbeat song for the fun, upbeat beach scene, and that song is perfect for it. i love all the sampling of the original soundtrack at the start of the movie. i would be lying if i said i didn’t get chills at the beginning. as for the gaga song, it was pretty good honestly, but it really worked for all of the scenic shots at the end. it made me feel nostalgic, sad, and happy at the same time, which i think was the goal of the song itself. after all, the point of the soundtrack is to back up the movie. it’s not the focus at all except in the beginning. all in all, a great soundtrack for a fantastic movie.

5. Top Gun Ain’t worried about it - It’s crazy to see these people really write negative reviews about this finely constructed soundtrack piece for an ultimate amazing movie. If you actually pay attention to the context to the movie and the song that was played to set the mood and vibe of the scene, one would actually realize that this is an awesome album. The best part of the album is OneRepublic hands down with the whole group playing football by the beach. All those who didn’t put a good review are obviously not music majors who know how much hard work it takes putting these types of things together. Go Top Gun!

6. Lady Gaga and.... - I loved the movie, but as a whole, this soundtrack has too much instrumental music. I do love that they included "Danger Zone" and it would have been sorely missed. I just wish they had a few other songs that were playing in the background to make this a complete album. I recommend buying the original Top Gun soundtrack and adding "Lady Gaga" as a bonus track. P.S. I love the Gaga song, but the first seconds are just odd. They don't fit with this "Anthem." You can go to song, info, options, and edit the first few seconds out to make it more natural, if you'd like. Enjoy.

7. Weird - It is strange like another reviewer wrote that the album is split into two albums once downloaded? One album has the songs on it from Lady Gaga, One republic etc and the other album has all the orchestra songs on it! Why? Update we despite being two albums as a download there is a way to play it as one album. Just have to change the album setting. 4. Great for those who loved Film ! - In the same way that I enjoyed the film; I’ve also enjoyed the original album. The songs in this album remind me of the film every time I listen to it. I don’t find that the percussion/background sounds shadow the lyrics to any of the songs. Keep in mind the central theme to the story is the circus, this explains the choice to raise the percussion levels. The songs together tell the story of the film (all are great) but my favorite songs are: Come Alive, The Greatest Show, The Other Side and Never Enough.

4. The first song tricks you - I had heard the first and the last song a billion times and expected an amazing British pop-Rock soundtrack... oh it’s only nine songs? Oh okay... oh uhh the rest just sounds like British hip hop. Tack on some cringy wordage, and self censoring, and you get a very weird, discordant, and adolescent sound for a less than exciting minutes. 6. Miss me with this. Stay off bway please. - This show started out as a good concept but ended up being really mediocre. However this doesn’t ever seem to matter to a large group of theater fans (ie fake theater fans) because it features a strong contemporary pop edge that doesn’t really belong on broadway, and it’s really popular on the internet. This show is easily comparable to be more chill, which is similarly a bad show that made it to bway because of a large, widespread fan base that couldn’t see the show due to geography and caused it to tank at the box office. I know they announced a broadway run and I’m annoyed. Let’s try and support more true art like the great comet.

The Soundtrack is Sublime - It’s difficult to describe the great feelings I get every time a song from Peter Quill’s mixed tape is played, but the one that starts the movie has special meaning to me. It was /; I had just smoked some “Acapulco Gold,” put on my headphones and placed a CC album on the turntable. I felt like I was floating outside of my body, but when “I’m Not in Love“ came on it was overwhelming. The stereo mix of sounds bouncing back and forth from left to right over and over again, combined with the impact of wearing my headphones, was so powerful that I could swear I was able to “see” the music. This never happened to me before or since, but at that moment I fell in love with that song. I recognized it the second it started playing at the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy (). Maybe “big boys don’t cry,” but tears came to my eyes.

I grew up watching the original Sing, and nothing made me happier than to see the sequel to one of my favorite childhood movies. 3. Even though it's cheesy... - 's/'s/'s hits is not fit for a space opera... Space opera is supposed to have a modern theme like Star Trek and Star Wars... 1. Slime Tutorial FTW - About six months ago, I was surfing on YouTube when a “slime tutorial” popped up on my feed, but the thumbnail obviously wasn’t about the title. 3. Incredible Musicians and Genius Songwriting - Absolutely amazing musical. I’ve been following Anaïs Mitchell’s music since she came out with the original Hadestown album, and to see it progress from an Original Cast to a Broadway performance has been absolutely amazing, and each time its only gotten better. 4. Awesome! Gapless playback problem though - Honestly, amazing album. When the whole thing was finally released it was like finally getting it, you know? BUT, between "Epic II" and "Chant" there is an unsightly (unsoundly?) gap when the songs should just flow into each other. This is not Apple's problem, it happens on the Spotify version too. Compare it to the segue of "Come Home With Me" into "Wedding Song" - seamless as it should be. Buy it anyway though. ;)

I had to actually cancel my preorder and re-obtain it but that seemed to work for me. But please for the love of pete stop giving the album one star for an issue on Apple’s end. 2. A Spectacular Recording for a Spectacular Show! - The movie “Moulin Rouge!” is a strange and beautiful classic filled with great performances and an amazing jukebox score. 3. Waited to opine till I saw the show - I downloaded the Broadway cast album as soon as it became available... and was really disappointed. It felt like being at a party where the DJ had attention deficit disorder and kept skipping through songs before they could develop. But I thought maybe when I see the show all this relentless mania will make sense. It did not. The cast is incredibly talented across the board, but these pop song mashups make it almost impossible for the actors to develop their characters. Some songs provoked a laugh from the audience in a moment that was supposed to be serious. The show is a spectacle and many people love it, so I’m only offering my own reaction here. YMMV. I saw the movie just once, many years ago. Liked it. I give this album stars because the performers are hugely talented. Other than that, blah.

Outstanding. - When the movie version came out, I was moderately impressed, but now that this story has had a chance to breathe over the span of a couple decades, the mash-ups are much more poignant and dare I say powerful. While Nicole Kidman was serviceable as Satine, Karen Olivio is a powerhouse and Aaron Tveit continues to turn everything he touches to pure gold. To those who are worried that Lady Marmalade isn’t part of the show, listen to cut and relax. I’m glad they axed that ridiculous version of Like a Virgin and put something much better in its stead. I can’t wait to see it.

3. They all download... - you just have to look in the right place. I too thought I only received of the songs. That was when I had my Music library being sorted by "Artist". The problem is that the four songs in question are identified by artists other than the Blues Brothers (i.e. Aretha Franklin, Cab Calloway, etc.). Sort your Music library by "Album", and you'll see all the songs. At least that was the situation I had.

5. The First Musical To Make Me Cry In A Long Time - Just... wow. I avoided this for a while because Beetlejuice is one of my favorite movies and was a bit turned off to a song called “Dead Mom” for personal reasons, but having heard it, I wish I listened to this a lot sooner. 1. Majestic in every way. - One of the greatest soundtracks for a film. I’ve had it for years, and I’m never letting go. This soundtrack showcases what’s so epic and beautiful about The Lion King, and why most films pale in comparison. In terms of Han’s Zimmer’s score, which is somewhat represented on this album with the tracks “This Land”, “...To Die For”, and “King of Pride Rock”, the music is completely breathtaking and intensely euphoric. For me, the score for this film can only be bested by John Williams’ score for Star Wars, which is literally perfect. As for the musical tracks on this album, the music and lyrics by Sirs Elton John and Tim Rice in songs like “Circle of Life” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” are just as majestic as the score, while some tracks like “Hakuna Matata” and “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” are more upbeat and loose than the more serious tone of the others. Then there’s “Be Prepared”, which kind of sticks out like a sore thumb on the album with its dark tone and maniacal themes, but still manages to find a place amongst the other tracks. The rest of the songs on the album are covers of “Circle of Life”, “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King”, and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” by Sir Elton John. The best out of all three of these is the last one by far, and is my personal favorite song on the album. Overall, this album is just amazing in every way, and I’d encourage every fan of the film to check it out.

3. Fantastic! - I love this album! It reminds me of when I was a boy and when I watched the movie when it first came out! Also, back before I had a phone and even an iPod, I listened to this album on my mp player. This album and I go way back! But I also really looked back to this soundtrack when I had recently been thinking about the song “My Heart Would Know” by Hank Williams. I was asking a few girls to Prom not long ago, but all I got dishonesty and abandonment. They lacked loyalty and honesty. They made false excuses, and it really made me upset. I immediately thought of the lyrics “My lips could tell a lie, but my heart would know.” I love that old tune, along with the other classics chosen for the film and Randy Newman’s genius scores. 3. One the best soundtracks ever - I've wanted to replace my tape for years and I just stumbled across this tonight. The music perfectly fit one of the first "hot vampire" movies with both the moody, broody tracks and the required uplifting 's sax track. Plus I have all the awesome memories of blasting the soundtrack in my best friend's Cabriolet with the back seats removed to fit the enormous speakers of the time.. Fabulous knowing I'm old enough now to once again blast the soundtrack in my car as the current versions of my best friend and I point and laugh while I wave back knowing I'm having the much better time. Thank you iTunes for my own little time warp.

5. Awesome Soundtrack - This soundtrack has never gotten old for me. I usually use it when I'm writing and have my headphones on, so I'm not distracted with other stuff going on around me. I saw this movie when it first came out and bought the VHS tape (yes, kiddies, VHS) when it first came out. This was before tapes got cheap, so I paid bucks for the thing (the old days when the world was young and dinosaurs walked the earth). Decided I had to get the soundtrack again. I've missed it bunches. There's not a song on it that I don't like. :) Enjoy!

8. Gotta Love It - You can't help but love the music. It's like closing your eyes and opening them again in the 's. I could listen to it any time. This version of People Are Strange is even better than the original, and Cry Little Sister is just haunting, the kind of music that stays in your head long after you hear it. 1. Only The Original - I love these original songs. The newer live action versions butcher these songs. There’s no feeling and definitely no magic in the way they are sung and performed. Jonathan Freeman is great as Jafar the villain who hides behind a fake smile, and it can even be felt in his voice. These voices had a sense of romance and comedic timing when needed. The end titles version of A Whole New World is beautifully done and none can compare.

1. Freaking Phenomenal. Hands down my favorite album. - Just woke up to the sound of “One Family.” The motifs and expression of this music, the sheer range of intensity and emotion is beyond anything words alone can express. Tears are in my eyes even now, simply having listened more intently to the song. Layer on Layer, Phil Collins and Mark Mancina’s work does not disappoint, every ounce of motivation and emotional strength expressed exactly as much as it needs to be. “One Family” in particular is a haunting tune of forgotten lives, strength of love, and rediscovery of what it means to be part of a family unit. It is rare to find such craftsmanship in any art nowadays, and I am refreshed by these pieces of music from what I consider to be a golden experimental age of Disney films.

2. Jaw dropping and Mythical - This soundtrack deserves all of the hype around it! Not only are the songs lyrically beautiful but the composition is a breath of fresh air in the musical genre. My mom also loved it when I showed her and she’s the greatest critic I’ve ever known. Me and my peers have already agreed that if we are ever given the opportunity to see this production live we would leap onto it. For now I’m just excited for more tracks to be released! Literally better than Xmas - In less than hours Epic took the spot in All Albums on ITunes on Christmas Day— and there’s a reason it was so much higher than most Christmas albums at their peaks and every other album below it. This musical is going to be absolutely insane. The writing, vocals, mixing and instrumentals, album art, community, it’s all unbelievably incredible. The release had the benefit of an already existing fan base from snippets posted on TikTok and the musical’s Discord, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the release of these first songs led to even greater success on the charts with the coming sagas, now that more and more people are finding Epic. Jay, Teagan, Luke, Armando, and Steven’s vocals are incredible, the mixing and instrumentals are amazing, and the lyrics and writing are nothing short of epic. This is only the beginning and I am so excited to hear the rest of the musical and see what everyone working on Epic has in store. Full speed ahead everyone :)

4. Exciting! - This album consists of the first five songs in the “EPIC: The Musical” concept album. At this time, the rest of the songs have not been released. The music is very well written as well as performed and succeeds in building the excitement for future releases. A story is being told as this is a concept album for a potential live performance and so another thing that this album succeeds in, in my opinion, is giving listeners an idea of what you could expect to see if it were performed on stage. For example, when the artists are singing the lyrics, you can understand their expressions and build an idea in your mind as to how this would play out and how the stage actors would be interacting with each other in a live performance. I would recommend listening to this and I look forward to what comes next in this musical.

5. One of the best creations based on Greek mythology in a long time - I’ve been keeping an eye on this since it was first teased on TikTok and to say I enjoyed listening to this was an understatement. The songs are good, the instruments and symbolism is amazing, and the accuracy and clear understanding of the source material is perfection. This is one of the best things and I would recommend it to anyone who has an appreciation for musicals, mythology, or good content in general. I can’t wait for the next pieces of the musical. This is amazing. Great work!

6. % worth the listen - I have waited so long for this to come out, and it has beyond surpassed my expectations. I've relistened to it more times today than I would care to put a number to, and it has definitely left me excited for the rest of the sagas. 1. Finally, the score with all the extra tracks! - Back in when the score to "Tron: Legacy" was released, it was missing a number of tracks. Those extra tracks were spread out among many different retailers, but finally a full version with all of those tracks is available as one complete package. This is a terrific soundtrack. Glad this was compiled together. Definitely recommended especially if you like Daft Punk.

2. Get there alive and he will find you - Any list of the under appreciated achievements in the Disney canon must include TRON. That includes the original, the Legacy and the Uprising. This complete album reiteration and expansion on the original Daft Punk soundtrack release is well worth the investment in the franchise. Sea of Simulation adds a sense of joy and fantasy to the score collection that favors the gloriously brooding and intense selections. The minimalism of Reflections, both the beginning and end of the piece, remind me of the clean and inspiring visual aesthetic of Legacy that had me sold with its numerous black and white sets and Cora (Olivia Wilde) contemplating on the couch. There is nothing in this album that is mediocre or unmoving.

1. Masterpiece - While I didn’t watch the movie (I tend not to nowadays, so I can’t say on Ms. Aguilera’s acting skills), I had to buy this masterpiece of an album. It definitely had a ‘Back to Basics’ feel-which, of course was a FAVORITE of mine by her. Such brought a touch of nostalgia on first listen. Her vocals, of course, are on par, expressive and flawless with the perfect amount of boldness, confidence, and passion (a combination that practically spells Christina Aguilera, in my opinion). There is not a doubt in my mind that I would recommend this album for others to purchase and hear (and undoubtedly enjoy). So, no....there are no regrets in buying Burlesque, at least on the music side of it. 2. My First and Favorite Musical - I started using it as background music for drawing and immediately noticed how well the music was written and how amazing the musical was. I related to this musical on a deep emotional level and it’s helped me out of some rough mental breakdowns, as someone who suffers from anxiety and suicidal thoughts, this musical is really my comfort musical. 6. Left Me Speechless - If you haven’t seen Dear Evan Hansen, watch it now. Then come back and buy the soundtrack. The music is phenomenal. I’ve seen the show two times now and by the time Words Fail comes, I’m sobbing my eyes out. Everything about DEH just changes a person. It’s such a sad, heavy topic but is still full of heart and funny. The soundtrack, however, won’t make sense unless you watch the musical or read the script first. Most of the music won’t make sense unless you watch/read the musical. But yes, totally buy it if you are into musicals or just really want some good music to listen to. It’s really good, I’m telling you.

7. Don’t read another sentence. - I think that Laura Dreyfus has dazzled us once again. This song is the reason I tried DEH (Dear Evan Hansen) for the first time.
