1. underrated!! - everyone says that like Cinderella and sleeping beauty are the best but then there’s cars! my cousin always said that that movie was for boys but I disagreee! the soundtrack is my fav part!! cmon! the songs in this movie are absolutely gritty and alternative and less poppy! best songs in Disney! ok not really but one of the best! ka chow!

3. Fantastic! - I love this album! It reminds me of when I was a boy and when I watched the movie when it first came out! Also, back before I had a phone and even an iPod, I listened to this album on my mp player. This album and I go way back! But I also really looked back to this soundtrack when I had recently been thinking about the song “My Heart Would Know” by Hank Williams. I was asking a few girls to Prom not long ago, but all I got dishonesty and abandonment. They lacked loyalty and honesty. They made false excuses, and it really made me upset. I immediately thought of the lyrics “My lips could tell a lie, but my heart would know.” I love that old tune, along with the other classics chosen for the film and Randy Newman’s genius scores. I’ve always loved this soundtrack and the film for it and I always will, and this is worth the money! This album is flawless!!!

1. Utterly Superb! - These modern covers were a wonderful addition to this amazing series! While I won’t reveal the number of times I’ve watched it, I’m pleased to see the soundtrack is available for purchase. Listening to it allows me to relive the series again and again ... Anxiously awaiting Season ...

1. Took away content - Why did i pay money fo rthis album just for them to take away the music from the original soundtrack. I got it just for that and a couple other songs. Thats just horrible, at least take it down and put up a new version, allowing those who already had this to keep it. Absolutely horrible and shameless.

2. NOT the motion picture soundtrack - These are the SONGS from the movie, but these are NOT the movie versions. Buyer beware. These are the songs covered by other artists. For example Oogie Boogie’s Song is performed by a vocalist who has no bass in his voice. This version doesn’t have the thick, rich, baritone voice of the movie version, so all the menacing punch is gone and it sounds like a year old kid trying to be scary. The other songs are similar. The album is good enough for a kid’s Halloween party (as long as the kid isn’t a die hard fan of the movie), but that’s about it. I’m disappointed.

3. Not from the movie - I bought this soundtrack expecting it to be the same from the movie but they are re-recorded. Some very obvious ones are Oogie Boogie’s Song and Poor Jack, which can even be heard from the previews. Very disappointed. When they say ORIGINAL score, I expect the same version from the movie.

4. Where Halloween music fails, this soundtrack succeeds - There is one thing that Halloween music fails in. It fails to relate to it's audience and it's only played for hours a year at most. This soundtrack relates to its audience on a personal level whilst also combining different types of music that can range from a sad woeful somber to an exited cheerful tune. the lyrics can relate to people on a personal level. Almost everybody has had an identity crisis. A feeling of not being needed for anything other than what you are meant to do. The soundtrack compliments the movie by adding what the movie cannot. It adds a new meaning to the story that can't be seen. It adds to the mood of the story. And the best part is that no song is the same. The songs range as much as Jack's singing voice, they go from cheery to woeful, from shakespearian to adventurous. It is the best dollars I have ever spent and I would certainly buy it again and again if I could.

1. I used to like this - I say that the oldest girl/boy that would intentionally watch this would probably be - years old I used to like this show when I was ten but now I’m thirteen I did watch the new one with my sister and it was still kinda good but I’m sad that Cameron Boyce died rip Cameron he was in a lot of movies and tv including jessi descendants and my favorite the movie grown ups it was weird seeing him as a bad cussing kid than a smart mouth in Jessie

2. The movie is really good and... - I don’t know why but my favorite song on this album isn’t even a song sang by the characters in the movie. Although she becomes a character in the movie. I LOVE Night is Young by China Anne McClain
(I have a feeling a spelled something wrong there)
The other songs are fine to but I love Night is Young!

1. Simply Tears My Heart Out - Never mind the detractors. I Love, Love, Love this soundtrack! The main theme that reappears throughout the piece just tears my heart out. With that said, is anyone else getting a “Freedom Fighters” vibe by Two Steps from Hell? It came out years before this and I wonder if it was an inspiration.

2. Touchdown - Haunting and driving electronic grit that resonates with emotion. The music fits the futuristic isolation and really adds to the experience. The final track has a life of its own and could not be more soulful in the delivery. It doesn't get any better without the name Hans Zimmer on it. And even then...

3. One of my all time sound tracks. - I love this soundtrack and find myself listening to it constantly. It is perfect for this movie and the movie was so great also. I listen to this a lot in the background when I am working. So great, it does make me think about the sound tracks for batman, inception and a video game Mass Effect from Bioware.

4. Delicious - Immediately after the movie, I knew I must own this - the music sticks with you that well. Reminds me heavily of the Inception soundtrack, with whiffs of Tron Legacy thrown in and Batman peppered on top. Slow burning with building tempos that just keep going that finally release into a "bwwwaahhhh" driven rage. Oblivion (ft. Susanne Sundfr) sums it all up and is the icing on the cake.

5. Track Fearful! - This song appears at the climax of the film and does it draws your attention to one scene in particular. If you seen the movie then it is a spectacular effects shot with the climax part of the song. Beauty and power from this one track alone sets the emotional value of this entire soundtrack. The movie was good, but what came with the movie that was even better; the soundtrack. Again, the entire soundtrack is fantastic, but 'Fearful' is unbelievably good. Enjoy listening.

6. Definitley M and DEFINITELY a movie score - Great work by M, some songs sound just like him, and some songs are movie scores with his influence. If you have listened to every single M album you can appreciate this. If it is your first M experience... DO NOT judge based off of this. Check out You and the Night soundtrack also completely M. Way more his style. This is great nonetheless. Epic to say the least!!!

7. Subtle Ambience - Oblivion's soundtrack caught my attention. I wanted to turn the volume up a bit because it's so low-key during the movie. It sounds a bit like Tron: Legacy meets Mass Effect, which is probably why it felt familiar, but comfortable. Honestly, the film and the music caught me off guard-- I wasn't expecting to enjoy them like I did.

8. please win the oscar for best soundtrack - It has always been my firm believe that music is % of what makes a movie great! And this sound track does it on so many levels; The editing, story telling, the climax of all scenes…this music took me to another world and yet it was home. Epic yet down to earth, heart pumping and yet still, spacious and yet warm. Wow, if you enjoy listening to ambient music when running, driving, or just for inspiration, this sound track is for you!!! Buy it!!!

9. As unique as the movie itself! - Jump in a hammock and just listen to the haunting synth and masterfully created harmonies. I never really knew who M was until I watched this movie, loved the score, downloaded it, and listen to it when I come home from hours at work and unwind. This score takes you on its own journey, blew me away!

10. M is simply brilliant! - funny how things workout sometimes; listening to good music that no one knows about and years later they ask "hey have you heard of M?" I'm a M fan for years and this album moved them to a different level! Awesome soundtrack for those who like to let their mind escape the radio!

11. The music is what makes the movie sing - I can't say love, love, love it enough! This is phenomenal. Every song is a joy to listen to, and that's saying something with the deluxe version of songs. The movie plays back in your mind as you listen to the music. It has reminders of Hunger Games in some tracks. This is up there with the Harry Potter scores. One note. the deluxe version will not fit on one cd.

12. I'm personally attached to this soundtrack... - I just want to thank Mr. Gonzalez and M for creating such a beautiful score to an already amazing movie. It's easy to say that film scores make you feel something very deep, as if you were the main character like Jack Harper riding a futuristic bike in a wasteland with the track "Tech " or saving what's left of the world with "Fearful Odds". It's another thing to be able to apply a film score to our lives, and that's exactly what Oblivion does for me. I drive my car with it, I think about my life and the relationships I've had throughout with it, but most importantly, it makes me think about the future.

13. Stunning beautiful - I am so moved by this soundtrack, it leaves me speechless. I was a fan of M ever since i heard 'Midnight City'. I've always been very impressed with M's music and the second i heard that they composed this soundtrack, i knew it will not dissapoint. I only expect great things from M and they just exceeded my expectations. This is an incredible soundtrack and i could not be more happy about it! I cannot wait to hear more from M!!

14. Great! - A great album to listen to. There are many qualities of Hans Zimmer in here along with the influence of Tron Legacy. Joseph Trapanese is the big shine in this album though and he nails is a lot. My favorite songs are Earth , Wake Up, and Star Waves. These songs rock. Plus how can you beat an hour and minute soundtrack for $? A great album for people who love listening to soundtrack music.

1. One of my favorites - This soundtrack is one of my favorite Tarantino soundtracks. I think the movie is unfairly criticized for not being a “normal” Tarantino movie. Everyone’s tastes are different but this soundtrack and movie check all the right boxes for me. And for everyone giving star because you want Smith’s “Baby It’s You” and it’s only available here if you buy the whole album….look up the band and the album A Band Called Smith and but it that way. It’s not that hard to look for things

2. They replaced a mix of one of the songs! - I bought this from iTunes last year, great movie, great music, I enjoyed it a lot. I randomly decide to listen to it a year later and find that they have REPLACED a mix of one of the best songs, Down In Mexico by The Coasters. A year ago it had the actual correct mix from the movie. Now, for some reason it has a completely different, stripped down, nearly acoustic version. It is nowhere near as good as the original. I don’t understand why they replaced the version from the movie. I PAID for the version from the movie, it was correct when I bought it! The fact that iTunes replaced it with a lesser version of the song AFTER I paid for it is despicable! Good riddance iTunes, at this point I’m glad you’re gonna die.

3. Could you please stop with the whole album thing? - I want the individual songs, I don't want the whole album. Remember 's? Remember cassette tape singles? Why would I want to buy an entire album when I only want ONE SONG?? That is one reason I applauded iTunes when they first came out. Now more and more I am seeing that you are forcing the customers to buy entire albums to get one song or you fake the customer out and mislead them into thinking it's the original recording when it's not. Please start getting more singles and original recordings on iTunes please.

4. Why buy the soundtrack/album for ONE song? - I don't know these songs--all I want is "Baby it's You" by Smith. So why do I have to get ALL of these songs I don't want? Does anyone know of an alternate place to buy single releases that are NOT on soundtracks? I'm running into this "soundtrack" rip-off a lot--try buying anything from Dirty Dancing!

5. AWESOME MUSIC, BUT!!!! - Why in the hizzznellll do I have to buy the entire album for $, when there are like skits on there.....who really wants to listen to people talk....like if i wanted to hear the dialogue in the movie...I WOULD JUST WATCH THE MOVIE....dur dur dur I want to listen to the kickass soundtrack and the specific songs I wanna hear...NOT the actors. NO OFFENSE cause I loved this movie, but c'mon Itunes quit being nazi's and just let us buy the individual songs we would like to purchase don't strong arm us into buying the whole thing!!! sheeeesh rant over. otherwise, this album is DIVINE.

6. The way it is - Yes, it is a raw deal with soundtracks, and this one is no exception, The reason they make you buy the whole disk is that they have to get licensing from the artist, pay them royalties and stroke egoes. So itunes as well as others are forced to just sell the disk as a package under the original contract. That said, this a fun soundtrack and alike others have said you can look up most of the artist and buy the individualy.

7. Down in Mexico not the same as movie - Freaking LOVED this movie! Was more than a little ticked off, though, that the "Down in Mexico" is not the same as the movie. Warning, there are TWO Death Proof soundtracks. Make sure you buy the right one. To get the "Down in Mexico" song that Butterfly does the the dance to, you have to buy Death Proof soundtrack, not Grindhouse: Death Proof soundtrack. So, not this one, but the other soundrack. Ticked me off that I bought the album and then had to spend another cents to get the CORRECT version of the song. Otherwise, GREAT SOUNDTRACK!

8. Smith's lead singer was Dusty Springfields breathless counterpoint . . - This song makes this work worth the price . .it is one of those tunes in that was seemingly playing everywhere and offered the same breathless Dusty Springfield-esque punch that Tarratino seems to find as erotic as I do [ hear his use of DS's 'Son of a Preacher Man' in Pulp F, which beats hell of Aretha's original . .which is saying a ton.]. . .hot song . . .hot woman . . .hazily great memories . . . glint . . .CMon

9. Beware ! Not movie version ! - I don't need to sing the praises of that release , however , beware , the version of " Down in Mexico " by the Coasters is not the version that is featured in the movie ( or the cd version of this soundtrack for that matter ) but and older ( and slower ) recording ... Other than that , what can I say , QT did it again ...

10. Buy the entire ablum - rediculous - Having to buy the entire ablum for a single cut is certainly a throw back. I've bee searching for "Baby It's You" by Smith for years on iTunes. I have the original / album and it's the best version I've ever heard. I may even consider the buying the entire ablum, but I'm concerned about the "Explicit" label -- could that be a movie voice over the song??? Anyway, guess I'll keep waiting and see if their album shows up at some point.

11. A Jukebox to the Past - I just loved this album from the start to finish. I originally bought it JUST for Hold Tight by the incredible Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mich & Tich. But as I let my car's shuffle pick tracks, I learned to LOVE pretty much every song. This is a CD you'll love when you're driving, it's just awesome music. You'll be just like me with this album. I just enjoy every song, by some artists I'd never heard of before. My personal favorites are Jeepster, Hold Tight, Down In Mexico and the very odd but very good Chick Habit. Absolutely awesome!

12. Awesome Soundtrack Album! Even So You Gotta Explain Something to Me. - This has to be one of my favorite soundtacks ever to be released. Leave it to Quentin to assemble the most rockin' songs ever to grace an album. I have to admit a lot of the stuff on this cd, I am now hearing for the first time, but once again leave it to Quentin to find the certain songs to fit a movie like a glove. Now one thing I HAVE TO ask you guys is what is the deal regarding the song "Down In Mexico" by the Coasters? There are TWO versions of the Grindhouse "Death Proof" album here on iTunes, one being "explicit" and the other one I guess "clean" but since they both appear on the iTunes store side by side, for comparison's sake it is relatively easy to double check on what I am going to tell you so you can see for yourselves. For BOTH versions the song "Down In Mexico" is song number , but on the "explicit" version the running time is listed at : and on the clean version the time is :. On, the "explicit", the version of "Down In Mexico" by the Coasters is TOTALLY different than the one contained in the "clean" album. How is that possible and WHY? Why would you put two different versions of the same song from a soundtrack to a movie on two different albums? This song on the unrated album is a much more jazzier and rockin' version than the same song contained in this album. It is louder, and I'd say more quicker by just a tad. The one on the "explicit" version I would describe in my opinion being a more "toned down" one compared to the "Down In Mexico" off of the unrated album. Once again why this would possibly be so is a mystery to me. Never mind that there shouldn't even be two different versions, because in what way is this album "explicit?" The two are identical to each other, except for the miscues with the songs it seems. If anyone here is knowledgable or has behind the scenes info as to why this has occured I sure would love it if you explained it to me....or rather all of us here. I know I'd appreciate it, hopefully the rest of you would too. Later.

13. Just plain awesome....See the movie listen to the music - This is a perfect blend of music that with every track you will remember where in the movie it was playing. These tracks are not your run of the mill mainstream type songs. It's just how QT likes it....if you're a fan of the movie this is a must have!!!!!
2007-10-12
14. SOUNDTRACK GOD - It should go without saying but QT is the Soundtrack GOD. His taste in music and how it relates to film is a gift from the Gods. I would have to say that he is unmatched (well... Michael Mann is also a master at this) by anyone. QT's soundtracks are like mix tapes. He makes the perfect mixes for us to listen to over and over. I love the Dogs and Pulp soundtracks but Jackie Brown is my all time favorite. I play that one over and over. Now I play DEATH PROOF. I was lucky enough to see it here in Austin the way it was intended to be seen. QT is a master. He loves movies. He loves to watch them and he loves to make them. As my friend Harry Knowles might say... " QT is the movie guy for movie geeks...and we love him.". Thanks QT. Another master stroke of film and music.

15. This soundtrack and the movie are crazy sick!!! - I think dharishatuck or what ever their name is on the top of this comment list has got to get a life. You may be able to get these tracks somewhere else...but how else are you going to get the killer dialogue extras and then be able to support the man himself!! Get a life and I recommend this soundtrack to everyone that is a fan. Quentin knows how to pick the music!!

16. Grindhouse - This movie, and Planet Terror, were the most amazing flicks I've seen in a really long time. I'm really glad to see that the soundtracks are just as amazing. If you haven't seen the movies yet, you're seriously missing out, so get yourself to a theater immediately and see them. Best hours ever.

17. A wonderful soundtrack - This is one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a long time. Most of the songs are unknown to popular culture, but we can thank Tarantino for sharing them with us. Hold Tight! is an amazing forgetten gem and April March's Chick Habit is an incredible single. Also, I have to say that the "Album Only" is a wise choice. You're better off buying the whole album...it REALLY works better as an album. The songs range from 'good' to 'great' but as a collection? It's nearly perfect, the way the songs flow with one another and have a common feel. Also, this is a great road album. Seriously, I love speeding down the highway to "The Last Race" or cruising to that great rhythm of "Down in Mexico". It's good to listen to around the house, but when you crank it on the car stereo is where it works really well. Best tracks: "Hold Tight!" "Chick Habit" "Down in Mexico" "Jeepster" "The Last Race" One more thing: I seriously suggest buying the April March album "Paris in April," which features "Chick Habit" and about or more amazing songs, then a few recordings of some of the same songs in French. That's another great thing about the Death Proof sndtrk, it's all this great stuff and for most people, it's all new.

18. Great Music, But This IS NOT Explicit - The Music is absolutly wonderful and, in my opinoin, very rare. but the only thing that bothers me is that they are giving the impression that it is all explicit. they put in SONGS that were explicit, AND THEY RATE THE WHOLE ALBUM EXPLICIT?? I think they are ulltimatly blinding your sense of the album, purley to make more money. (THE ONLY EXPLICIT SONGS ARE TRACKS & !)

1. AWESOME - This album is a definite must have, not just for die-hard Prince fans, but rather for anyone who loves and appreciates GREAT music. Unfortunately, today the record companies give us more NOISE than great music. God Bless you ALWAYS, Prince Rogers Nelson. Thank you for sharing all of this BEAUTIFUL music with us.

2. It Is What It Is - This is the greatest soundtrack in movie history period, with Purple Rain a very close second. How many artist can boast about that? Prince was cooking at this time and his creative juices were flowing at a fever pitch as he recovered from Under The Cherry Moon…lol,he is however one of the single greatest musicians in musical history.Peace

3. Prince and Batman- The Perfect Pair - I absolutely love this album!!! I danced to there song Batdance. It was so cool to make dance moves to all of the speeds and styles in that song! I also love watching the Batman movie and watching the parts the song comes up in. Or find the lines from the real characters in the movie! Overall, this album is awesome!

4. Less Burton than Prince, but I like it - If you get into this album because of the Batman character, you might be disappointed - or you might find its postmodern quirkiness a fitting complement to Tim Burton's style. Either way, you should know that BATMAN can be hit-or-miss. "The Arms of Orion" and "Scandalous" sound more appropriate for an 's prom than a comic-book movie, while "Lemon Crush" and "Batdance" are just silly. But "The Future" is a dark urban poem that makes funk cool again, and "Electric Chair" is a great Joker theme that - just like the villain himself - will make you feel deliciously dirty, and believe that "crimes of passion" will really "set us free!" The album is worth it for those two tracks alone.

5. As amazing as Prince is, this is my favorite Prince CD! - Everyone knows Prince is a musical genius, which is both awesome and a huge albatross. I'm one of those fans that has everything he's ever done and it always surprises people when I tell them that this is my favorite CD. I can't explain it but it just keeps confirming for me that it is his most concise and precise example of perfect music. I think the fact that he was given a very narrow mission and he knocked it out in just a few days may have helped. There is no filler to be found and every song is amazing. I know famous musicians that laugh when asked if they could create this in a few days. And I agree.

6. Best album ever - I haven't thought about this album in a while, until today when I heard another batman song on the radio. I still have the cassette and remember listening to it everywhere I went with my family. Absolute favorite was batdance, but there wasn't a single one I didn't listen to at least a million and one times. My parents would threaten to take this album away if I wouldn't turn it down. It's gonna be one of those albums I never take off my iPod.

7. Ohhh, the memories...Classic - I can remember listening to this on my Walkman tape player, along w/ my "Ghostbusters " soundtrack as a little kid. Pure classic and brings back a lot of memories for me. "Arms of Orion" is much like a lot of song cheesey love songs that came out from about '-'. It's cheese-tasticly good. "Partyman" is great! One of my favorites on this album. I always picture the scene of the Joker and his gang distroying priceless pieces of art work. "Trust" is another great one on here which also brings up memories of the Batman movie. "Scandalous" is much like many of Prince's other sexually charged songs but if you're a fan of his then this will appeal to you. "Future" takes a little getting used to but eventually it kind of grows on you. "Electric Chair" is pretty good and very catchy. "Lemon Crush" is ok...kinda catchy but in that annoying sort of way. "Batdance" is another oddly enough cool song on this album which takes actual audio recording of scenes from the movie. I've never listened to "Vicki Waiting" all the way through; I usually would fast forward through that one.
And,that is the jest of the album. I would only purchase the songs that invoke the most memories.

8. Ready for the Crush - This album takes me back to th grade growing up in Germany as a military brat. Every day after getting home from school this would be the first CD I would throw on and listen to while doing chores/homework. Of course all progress came to a hault once 'Partyman' and 'Batdance' came on so I could bust a move. 'Lemon Crush' would have to be my favorite song on the the album though if you asked me today. The lyrics are EXTREMELY simple, almost junior high-ish, but the way Prince delivers them, and with the bass guitar you know that 'Lemon Crush' is SERIOUS business. Every song on this soundtrack is a banger.
2010-02-18
9. An outstanding album - There's isn't a dog on this album. On the contrary, it includes some of his very best music. "Batdance" is a virtuoso dance tune, but its complexity rewards careful listening. "Partyman" has a groove that still holds up. And among the many hundreds of songs he has released, "Vicki Waiting" stands among the top ; it's utterly, purely Prince. Even the song that many critics dismissed, "The Arms of Orion" is really pretty. "Scandalous," of course, is right up there with his other power seduction songs. And toss-offs like "Lemon Crush" friggin' ROCK. By the way, all the b-sides on this album's singles were great, too. And the "Batdance" video totally holds up. God, I miss the days when Prince could release work of this level seemingly without even trying. But I think the last really good album he released was EMANCIPATION. Everything after that was just the work of a spent genius.

10. anyone notice... - that the main melody from Scandalous (that is, main "accompanying figure" (it starts the song and continues) ( not a vocal line at all) is conSPICuously similar to the The Batman Theme (from the other soundtrack) by Danny Elfman? anyone notice? (in a "melodic-shape kinda way (its a Five-Note figure) anyone?

11. Batdance, Trust, Partyman are all awsome! - i bought these songs and and im a huge batman fan but not a prince fan. still, these songs are a riot and are kinda hysterical to listen to, but its just too cool and fits the joker character perfectly, hard not to dance or bob your head when listening to these songs, great songs from Batman! HUBBA HUBBA HUBBA, MONEY MONEY MONEY, WHO DO YA TRUST??

12. This is decent Prince - If you don't think of it as a "Batman" album with Prince playing "Gemini" and all the silliness that went with it back in the day....you'll find a good Prince album. I just listened to this again after a long stretch of it collecting dust and it's got a lot of good funk in it. I prefer the rockin', shreddin' Prince stuff...and you get a bit of that here too.
2008-04-24
13. Why Explicit? - I'm not sure why the songs on this album are tagged "Explicit." There's no swearing on it. The lyric at the beginning of "Batdance" is "Get the FUNK up." Listen more closely, iTunes. Anyway, I like most of these, especially the ones featured prominently in the movie. "Vicki Waiting" is good too, and "The Arms of Orion" has Sheena Easton. Get this and don't be turned off by the erroneous parental advisory.

14. I beg to differ - The album review accompanying this title is lame. There IS a classic on this record, a classic baby-makin' song if ever there were one, "Scandalous." Moreover, this is classic Prince, in line with his many other seductive songs like "International Lover," "When Doves Cry," and "Insatiable" just to name a few. There's some customary Prince funk on this album too. Do not, by any means, brush off "Batman."

1. Simply amazing music - I'm a year old veteran from Iraq & Afghanistan. The only reason I want you to know that is because like others before me i have found new appreciation for the simple things in life and while I was out there music was my only constant companion. Please take time to listen to this soundtrack and open your heart and soul so they can listen to the texture of the chords, the color of the tones and the passion of the vocals. If you allow it, this music will fill your heart. I can begin to tell you how deep some of these songs have carve their way into my heart. From the instrumentals to the fast tempo and ballads I have found the uncomplicated, raw and meaningful chord progressions and lyrics put in words some of the feelings I haven't been able to describe. I hope you listen and find a piece of you in this album. I did and therefore I want to say thanks and keep the music coming. Thank you Armand "Doc" Rios

2. One of those films and soundtracks that stayed with you - I saw this film at a grief group and thought it was going to be another cheesy, unrealistic portrayal of dealing with death. While the film doesn't go that deeply into the pain of losing someone, the characters and especially the music stayed with me for long after seeing the film. This soundtrack is excellent and a must for those who have seen this good little film.

3. My child - I watch this movie as often as I can. I was pregnant when my boyfriend first introduced me to it! I listened to the soundtrack on repeat while i was pregnant. During my delivery and still to put my son to sleep or mellow out to. It is simply brilliant! I lice it. Deserves more then five stars!!!

4. AMAZING Sountrack - This movie and this sound track are both equally amazing! I love every single track on this album. Even the song with Selena Gomez is great, because we all know she isn't the best vocalist, her voice is pleasant in the song she features in. Everyone should buy this album, it's truly amazing!

5. Amazing and unexpected!!! - Amazing tracks!!! The movie was great, saw it three times in one day. I searched for the tracks as soon as I finished watching the film. Purchased the songs from rudderless and billy crudup, don't care for the others. Selena Gomez is horrible, but still didn't ruin the movie for me. If you haven't seen the movie yet, check out asap.

6. Very nice - Well recorded, spare, quality songs with no fancy studio effects. Well written melodies and even better lyrics. I am and rarely listen to pop music anymore. This is not PPP; it is far too good for that. What a nice surprise that Billy Crudup sounds so good. I bought this as the end credits to the movie were still rolling.
2014-10-26
7. OFFICIALLY ADDICTED - I am officially addicted to this soundtrack. Fantastic songs that stick with you, you'll find yourself humming hours later. After you've seen the movie, you will not be able to listen to the last song "Sing Along" without thinking of Sam & the emotions that come to you the last part of the film. New Ben Kweller & Ryan Deen fan, too, because of this! Thank you for making such beautiful music.
2014-10-21
8. Rudderless - I just screened this movie - and I must say, the music, like the movie, is INCREDIBLE, but once those credits come - the music takes on another meaning and tone entirely. Billy Crudup is one of the most underrated actors working today and his performance and these songs (and lyrics) will leave you heartbroken to say the least!

9. Selena's potential - Selena's voice sounds amazing in this and she actually sings a song people can relate to. I'm a big fan of hers. I hope she does more songs like this in the future because all these dancey electro poppy songs she does is getting old and I can't relate to them. Like love will remember is an amazing song and that's what people want these days! If she would have released that as her first single off her stars dance album it could have been number one for weeks!

10. Great Album! - This album is full of songs that touch your soul:) just a great way to get lost in this whole other world while listening to these songs!
I was lucky and got to watch the movie during the Catalina Island film festival which was great! The movie was so well directed and shot! Glad to see that there are still some great people filming and making these kinds of movies and music!

1. Best I've bought in a long time!! - I'm bordering on obsessed with this soundtrack. There is so much great music that goes unheard and this is a solid album full of of it. There is not a single song that I don't really, really like or flat out love and that doesn't happen often. I've already bought the music of several artists on this soundtrack. People always ask me where I find my music collection which is definitely off the beaten path. Lately it's been soundtracks such as this; in fact I would say you can't do better than this. That being said, I LOVE this film; a relationship film that is just real without being a chick flick. I never thought too much about the premise of this film but I think to a degree we've all been thru it and it says a lot about long term couple-hood. It's a little sad, pretty happy and just real. This is one of my have films in awhile.

1. Fantastic! - I love the music! The singers all really talented. I was a little disappointed, because in the preview's they made it seem like Drew Seeley would be more present in the movie, but he didn't come in until atleast after half of the movie. Except for that, the movie was good and so is the soundtrack! :)

2. Song Problem - I bought the song me too (main mix) -:- thinking it was the whole song, but it's only the part they show in the movie! So then I had buy me too (stripped):- just to get about half of the whole song. In addition, in the beginning and end of both song there's about seconds of silence. Not cool! Hopefully the cast will put together the whole song, and not just two random sections!

1. Must Listen & See... & Listen Some More... - We just saw Song One on a flight home from Hawaii. The plane had the usual melencholy mood. As we all were leaving the beaches & heading back to springtime on the maniland. Single One struck the perfect chord & it's chorus never ended... What a beautiful movie. & the melodies are so sweet & easy on the ears. I don;t think there was a dry eye as the final credits rolled with gentle turbulance & a fasten your seatbelt sign illuminated above. I'll now have to pick up the soundtrack & relive our flight over & over again. Mahalo

2. Amazing! - Love, love, loved this movie!!! It was so good, and so cute and touching and the soundtrack just went so well with the whole movie and each scene. I was crying most of the movie tbh, but it was such a lovely story, didn't like the ending as much because it just cut off, but it was a happy ending and now I'm buying the music because I can't get his voice out of my head!!

1. Good movie, bad soundtrack - I absolutley love the movie, it's witty, funny yet keeps it's story on track as well as has one of my favorite twists ever. This movie will go down as one of my favorites but there's only on problem about it… I hate the soundtrack. There's probably or good songs on it. There is another "soundtrack" that's a lot better and it's just the amazing backplays which includes dead reconing by Clint Mansell!
2010-02-07
2. What gives? - I give this album five stars, but take that five stars with a warning. All the songs on this album are great and just listening to them helps you remember "that scene in the movie where..." or "the part where..." etc. However, the one song that everyone seems to love is the one in the very last scene done by the incredible Clint Mansell called "Dead Reckoning". I've had the tune from it just playing in my head over the past few days. However, this one song, the one I was looking foward to most in my purchase of the album was not on it. Like I said before, all the other songs are great so you should still buy the album. However, if you're looking for that one song, you're out of luck (even though it's the one song that everyone is talking about....)

3. awesome movie awesome soundtrack - the movie had so many different characters, and the same goes for the soundtrack. you have the gza and common, and then you have motorhead and trivium. but does anyone know the name of the song at the end of the movie with ryan reynolds, i dont think its on here except for a slow version i think (i forgot how it went!!).

1. Terrible: album-only purchase - What a terrible waste. This album clearly has several popular tracks. The album's existence on iTunes is crippled by forcing customers to purchase the entire album, rather than individual tracks. I realize this is the music publisher's decision, and this is not the decision of Apple or iTunes Store.
2013-07-30
2. oh my gosh - u know what? iTunes seriously has to stop charging us the whole album! i mean we only like Lazy Pirate day so we dont deserve to have to buy other songs that we dont even like, in order to get it. It's so unfair! and then iTunes is gonna realize that they keep on getting less and less sales because we want song, not . and they should really read their reveiws because if they did than MAYBE, if they were SMART, they would split this up into individual songs and not do that Album Only crap.
2009-04-05
3. this is CRAZY!!!!!!! - The album's great and all but seriously the only song people preety much want is "Lazy Pirate Day" so just for that song i haved to get the whole albulm and pay $ THATS STUPID!!!!!!! I really wanted that song i been singing it all day and i WANT IT!!!!!!!So itunes get a grip all we want is "lazy Pirate Day"
2008-10-15
4. In Case You Didn't Know - Almost always you can download all the songs from a regular album individually, except for maybe a bonus track or two, but usually they target Soundtracks with the (and I know everyone is talking about it) "Album Only" on all the songs or a selected half. I don't get it. I mean, don't get me wrong, I bought the whole album and thought it was worth it, but, I can speak for everyone else because I have felt like this on other soundtracks, but, you go see a movie, like the songs and want to get them, and the best way is from the soundtrack. Some songs that are in movies that are actual songs, not a score, that can only be found ON a soundtrack. And it's very frustrating when the song you want is "album only" and you have to download the whole album to get that one song, or a couple songs. They also a lot of the time, when they select certain songs on a soundtrack to be "Album Only" they choose the most popular ones on the soundtrack so you HAVE to spend $. to get that one song. You know, what if I don't want to spend that much money? iTunes is already making enough money that they don't need to do that. I read in a Rolling Stone magazine that iTunes is the third biggest music selling store, behind Bestbuy, and Walmart in first. They're even offering free songs. And even with THAT they're still making enough money. AND, most albums are $., which is half the normal price of an actual CD in a normal store. Everybody likes that and they're making way more money than Apple expected, so the least you could do is leave all albums on iTunes to have every song sold seperatly. If you agree click Yes, and contact Apple about it. This needs to stop. Good album though!

5. Y us?! Y? - OMG-plez! Spare us! I saw this movie and i thought it wus really good! itunes has made this soundtrack into a laughingstock! Seriously! u already get enough money as it is from knocking off teens by making us buy the whole album, but y us? all i want is lazy pirate day and in my opinion that song ROX! ENOUGH OF THE ALBUM ONLY STUFF! WE ARE SICK OF IT!

6. Album Buy's - Apple is great with the ipods and the iphone but if you wanted to purchase a song and they have the album, then you have to buy the entire album. I MEAN, COME ON APPLE, IF YOU WANT TO HAVE PEOPLE BUY THE CERTAIN SONGS THAT THEY WANT FROM AN ALBUM, THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY LIKE . FOR A ALBUM, FOR JUST ONE SONG THAT YOU WANT. CHANGE IT NOW APPLE!!!

1. Lemonade Mouth - My favorite songs are Determinate, More Than a Band, Breakthrough, and Livin' on High Ride. These songs are extremely catchy which makes you wanna sing along. And it also wants to make you dance. This movie was extremely inspiring and made you want to stand up for who you are. I loved Lemonade Mouth and I absolutely love lemonade too!!!

2. One of the best movies ever & etc - This movie brings great messages and inspirations to a lot of people and I hope people know this movie is a gift to the world it’s not just a plain movie it’s a special movie (I used to drink lemonade everyday and watch the movie over & over again but I still do!) whoever said it’s a rip off of lady Gaga’s Born This Way it really isn’t look at the release of this album and lady Gaga’s (meaning That the song Breakthrough which kinda sounds like Born this way by lady Gaga existed before Lady Gaga’s hit and no hate though)

3. lemonade mouth..more like the best thing ever - lemonade mouth..where do i even start? the movie is a cinematic masterpiece, good character development, an excellent storyline, and an amazing soundtrack. this movie taught me the values of teamwork, determination, and to NEVER give up on my dreams. as i musician myself, this movie inspired me to turn the world into MY dance floor. despite being a year old man when i first saw the movie, i fell in love with it and watch it religiously. i even drink only lemonade for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. i can sing the lyrics to determinate in the sleep. i love the keyboard bloke, and when i first saw the film, i really saw my own insecurities in the character. when i saw him overcome those obstacles however, it changed me. because of this movie, i have a wife and seven kids. without this movie, i wouldn’t have gained the self confidence i have now. i am now a strong, successful individual. thanks to lemonade mouth. i also love hayley kiyoko and i respect she stands for. your faithful and loyal fan, joshua simoski

1. FUN FUN FUN!!! - This show is so much fun, Ive seen it twice already, and plan to see it again. The music is extremely memorable, and every cast member truly shines in their role. See it before it closes, and barring not including every "Out on a Limerick" this is a superb cast recording, one worth owning for sure!!!

2. Stephanie J. Block, Chita Rivera, and Will Chase... Nothing Could Go Wrong!!! - Absolutely fantastic! Chita is hilarious even on the soundtrack not to mention a great singer and broadway legend! Stephanie plays Drood great while taking from Betty Buckly's performance she always adds something unique that is all her. When I heard Will Chase was in the show it was basically the cherry on top! He was great on Smash as well as Drood! Definitely a cast recording worth adding to any theatre patron's collection!!

1. Only two worthwhile tracks… - I have not seen this film but I heard just a few seconds from the track The Alien and liked it so much that i wanted to purchase it. Unfortunately that track cannot be purchased unless the entire soundtrack is. I figured it would be fine, that the rest of the score must be at least good so bought it. I think that was a mistake. I was pretty disappointed. The main reason I do not enjoy this film score is because it’s essentially a synth score, which I LOVE. But multiple songs have a random acoustic guitar sequence (sounding the same on each track) wedged in and it simply does not flow. As soon as that guitar starts up, I am wrenched out of the atmosphere and mood the music had set up. It’s jarring and just does not work for me. Maybe if the guitar had somehow been incorporated into the rest of the music in a way that flowed or transitioned better, I would feel differently. Aside from the awful guitar bit, all of the tracks just kind of sound the same with the exception of Annihilation and The Alien. So in the end there are only two noteworthy tracks and you are forced to purchase the entire album to get one of them. Maybe if I had seen the movie I would like the score more, I’m not sure. Clearly many people love this score but I guess it is not for me.

2. What??? - I haven’t seen the movie but I hope the sound (track) is at least good to support the respective scenes. This soundtrack is more like the stuff you get when you download one of the many relaxation apps, only that these sounds would make you anxious or nervous! It is almost impossible to distinguish between the different tracks. It’s like one big sound mush was cut in smaller pieces. Even if you like the movie, I could never listen to these sounds just for the fun of it, because it has no substance. If somebody would have told me that an AI was behind this after being told to make sounds that go well with dark, brooding, confusing, senseless and superficial....I would have agreed that these sounds where spot on!! I’m so glad that I didn’t pay for that album!!

3. WOW. - After seeing this film in theaters I can't stop listening to this score. Honestly, while the song "The Alien" was playing during the film, I found myself in tears just from the shear impact of the music. It is both beautiful and terrifying. Choatic, organic, sensual, dark, airy, heavy, brooding, blooming, growing, withering... and all of this at once. It truly sounds like it is from another world. I can say with confidence that this is my favorite score in film history.(a bold statement I know, but I have never felt so affected by the music in a film.)

1. Nice Extra - Besides the fact that this is an amazing CD, it might help to be aware of an extra little bonus. The version of "The Sun Whose Rays Are All Ablaze" featured in the movie was actually edited for time. The one on the CD is a full, unedited version and is quite lovely. It was originally featured in The Micado and is performed very well by Nora Zehetner.
2007-06-07
2. Nathan Johnson by way of Isham and Shire - Johnson infuses this score with Mark Isham's "Romeo Is Bleeding," David Shire's "Farewell My Lovely," and even some sombre Schifrin, yet also brings something totally his own to it that fairly drenches the movie in noir sound. A fine dark score to a tale that Dashiel Hammett might have written.
2006-09-02
3. The right music for the right time - If you could put an old Bogart film and turn it in to a newer movie, this would be it. For every song on the soundtrack, it fits in perfectly with the movie. I don't think a better soundtrack could have been written. Outstanding in all aspects. Nathan Johnson is nothing short of amazing in his adaptations of songs for fitting situations in the film.

4. What else to compliment a Great film? - After leaving Brick I asked my friends what they though of the soundtrack. They replied "What soundtrack?" Now usually this would spell death to a film score, but as soon as I started humming Emily's theme they all began to go "oh Yeah! It did have a soundtrack!" This is what is so amazing about both Brick and its soundtrack, they incorporate so well together that you begin to get caught up with the story. As I listen to this soundtrack images from the film pour through my mind. This soundtrack is worth every cent.
2006-05-24
5. Noir-tastic - This album is an incredible find. All the songs on it contribute to the movie so well, and set the ambience of Brick. So much of the movie is based on still shots and music in the background, and this can only be achieved with great music. Rest assured, the music is perfect for the role. This soundtrack is certainly not for everyone, and probably isn't even for a lot of people, but if you saw Brick you know what I'm saying when I state that I could put this on and feel like a total hard-nosed detective, even though my high school lacks the intrigue of that in the film. Truly a fantastic score that should not be missed by fans of the film. Plus, it's a major bargain at $.. Pick it up today, and get the whole thing.
2006-05-11
6. Beauty By Way of Kitchen Utensils - This is Nathan Johnson's first score. Yes, his first score. He has done nothing else, and what a debut it is. Now what you must understand is that this score is like no other. It is very different from the mainstream fare that we've become accustomed to. There is no piece orchestra. There is Nathan, a group of musicians (Cinematic Underground), his apartment and a beat up Powerbook. Oh yes, can't forget the ONE microphone. However he does this, I don't know. But he pulls it off perfectly. The score opens up with "Emily's Theme" which pretty much sums up how original the rest of the score is. It's a fantastic track that starts out with a few chords from a guitar, and what I can only guess is what's called a wine-o-phone. It basically sounds like glass bottles being clanged together to deliver a melodic tune. If you're open, it can amaze you. The score climaxes with "War", which starts out subly with a haunting theme played with a few trumpets. The track dies down, but by the end it swells with amazing precussion, trumpets, and whatever else they felt like throwing in there. It's not messy at all though, it seems everything is played for a purpose. Every instrument and quasi-instrument is used to the best of its ability. Whether it be a violin or a Wine-o-phone, they're all used beautifully. There are three songs on the soundtrack and also a spoken word poem. Two of the songs seem to be originally from the s-s, I'm not sure. And the other song is by The Velvet Underground. The poem is performed by Nora Zehetner, who plays Laura in the film. She performs this poem nicely. I'll conclude with saying that this soundtrack is not for everyone. As Soundtrack.net said, it's not Lord of the Rings or Titanic. It's a score that was done by a small group of people in a small space with a small amount of equipment. But if you can consider this, and consider the obviously talent that's involved, then you certainly WON'T be disappointed.

7. Great Soundtrack to a Great Movie - I saw a preview of this film several weeks ago. The story was great and the music fits so well with the movie. The music as a whole is understated which is a good thing. It is not telling you how to feel, but rather an aid to help move the story along. Emily's Theme is simply het has a haunting feel to it. For those who like the film you really should buy or at least check out the soundtrack.

1. A great movie with a great soundtrack! - After seeing the movie, I really wanted the soundtrack. The music was very upbeat yet, it was actually quite calming. There are some pretty fun tracks by Salsa Celtica. I also love how Sufjan Stevens's music was used in most of the movie. I love everything about the movie and the soundtrack... BUY BOTH!
2009-04-04
2. Love the movie...Love the music - The movie was amazing which I do recomend to those of you who want a feel-good film and a few laughs. But the soundtrack is just as good. It feels like english country side music that you could listen to while on a drive...just like in the movie! I do wish the first song (The Tallest Man, the Brodest Shoulders) was for sale because that is my favorite song. Also the main theme of the film. All in all, this is the best soundtrack I have EVER heard!!!

3. Grint? - When I saw that Rupert Grint was in this I thought it was going to be cheesy and lame but I really LOVED IT! It was cute and funny and well put together. It spoke to me personally in a lot of different ways. When I told all my friends about it they thought I fell off my nut and broke my cracker. The music is good too, I would definitely recommend it.

4. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! - this movie was definetely one to rave about! i simply L-O-V-E-D it! and the sound track is just as good! my fav is Lido and The Tallest Man, the Broadest Shoulder, whenever i hear them it makes me laugh and smile cuz i think of the movie! it's just so friggin cute!!! ^__^ if i could give it more than stars i definetely would!

5. are you kidding? - it was nice to watch grint in somehting besides harry potter, but im not going try to act like it was a great movie. it was predictable and actually really lame. i thought it was going to be something like harold and maude, but instead nothing happens. at least he told off his stupid mother at the end. itd been more exciting if she'd died though. the soundtrack however, is actually pretty good. i think theres some sufjan stevens missing here... since it felt like they played one of his songs almost every other minute! they could have at least matched these songs up with the events on screen, but whatever.

6. Why?! because I love the movie and LOVE the albumn!!!! - I really loved the movie Driving Lessons in general but the music was better. the diversity of it and cleverness of working it in to the movies themes. it has some great meditation songs and even better fast moving songs that made my sister, friends and relitives buy the albumn. the only problem is the albumn only on itunes which is a ripoff because then you have to go everywhere in itunes to try and find the same song!!! I hate it and think its such a stupid idea!!!but all in all i love the songs and am going to buy the movie soon.
2007-11-04
7. BEST. MOVIE. EVER!!! - Seriously, Driving Lessons is my absolute FAVORITE movie! The soundtrack is just as amazing!! The songs are so relaxing and I just want to listen to them over and over again! I love love love "All the Trees of the Field Will Clap Their Hands" and "Jesusland." Buy this soundtrack: you won't be disappointed!!

8. Wonderfull! - this movie is amazing and the music goes along wonderfull with it. Ben's Theme is beautiful and kind of sounds like him, shy, but well thought out. i love In The Garden. It has a wonderfull melody and beat. I also love Pink Moon. There is something about the guys voice that i love. I would recomend seeing the movie and enjoying its wonderfull-ness, and then listen to the music, and seeing how well it compliments the movie. Buy the whole album if you can. You will love it.

9. This Movie Is Amazing! - I had heard about this movie from when i googled rupert for my Studly Man Collage (collage of really hawt guys i have on my wall). So I had this dvd shipped over from the UK cause they dont sell it where i live (which stinks) and i bought it without ever even seeing it but its insane! i love it! Julie walters is like the funniest actress alive so that brings some emotion into it.Rupert Grint is of course goregous as usual but he really branched out from the Harry Potter movies. its got emotion in it like i would never have believed rupert could pull off but he deffinately did!

10. Great movie and great music - Okay, I will say that I wasn't expecting this movie to be this good. And I really wasn't expecting the music to be this good! I'm not really into the kind of music in this, all instrumental, but this album may have changed my mind. I know not all the songs are like that, but the ones that are are really good! So are the rest! Ahh, and I also loved the main talent in this movie! It was amazing!!!

11. wow pretty much the most amazing thing i've ever heard - I absolutely loved the movie. I'm a huge fan of indie films, but this is definetly on my top . The music is perfect. It's so eclectic and eccentric, sort of like the movie. I reccomend this movie and soundtrack to anyone. You will not be dissapointed!

12. wonderful - As a Rupert Grint AND Sufjan Stevens fan, I am bias when it comes to this movie and soundtrack. I fell in love immediately as it opened with The Tallest Man, the Broadest Shoulders by Sufjan Stevens. I felt that the movie had it's indie characteristics but didn't teeter over to weird. The soundtrack follows suit. Just as the movie had it's different Christian themes, the soundtrack pulls songs with varying Christian messages without going overboard. This CD is very worth it and explores praising God in an artistic and meaningful manner showing that it is very possible to praise God without being a Praise Band.

13. DRIVING LESSONS (take them!!) - This is such a good movie! thats because Rupert Grint is in it, he is a wonderous actor and he is totally hella tight! lol! if you haven't seen this movie yet you totally should! I found out about it through, wat else, the harry potter films (if you havent seen them, rupert grint is absolutely amazing in them too!) who could argue wit' a song called "jesusland"? honestly! i love it loooovvvveee it loooooovvvvvvveeeee it. (and rg is not bad either!)

14. Best Movie EVER AND Best Music TOO! - Seriously, this is such a great soundtrack! When I saw the movie, I was out of my seat dancing. No, seriously, I was. There wasn't anyone else in the theater, BUT that doesnt make it a great movie! Everyone should see this movie and then see it again. I wish I could, but I just have to wait for it to come on DVD...RUPERT GRINT IS SO WONDERFUL! HE'S THE BEST(and hottest) BRITISH ACTOR EVER! GOD, I LOVE THAT MAN!

1. Shame on Lakeshore Records - Shame that Lakeshore Records make us buy the whole album. I would not even think about buying anything but Ms. Kristin Chenoweth's track! (By the way, the "iTunes People" have nothing to do with bad spelling of the singer's name. It is the Lakeshore Records people who did this to her. But I am sure they do not know how to use Google.)
2008-11-23
2. Grr! - I'm sure the cd is great, but I really just want O' Holy Nigh by Kristin Chenoweth. I wish I understood why this is "Album Only" but I think it's riduculous to have to by the whole cd for just one song that I desperately want. I thought that was the point of itunes...so you didn't have to buy the whole cd? Oh and if you like O' Holy Night Kristin Chenoweth put out a new cd called A Lovely Way To Spend Christmas, I DID by that whole album and every song on their is amazing!!!!
2008-11-08
3. iTunes DIE!!!!! - Hey iTunes, do you know it's Krist-IN, not Kristen??!! Um, hello! Idiots!! They can spell all the rappers names right, but God forbid they actually spend the time to spell the people who can actually sing's names right!! Jerks!! Anyway, I am NOT buying the whole album just to ghet one good song. No, thank you. There's other sites I can get it from. ;-) iTunes- KRISTIN CHENOWETH. KRISTIN CHENOWETH!!! NO "E"!!!! Obviously, the iTunes people do no know good music when they see it. Idiots. Gilgamesh you, iTunes! PS I LIKE PC'S BETTER!! THEY CAN SPELL KRISTIN'S NAME RIGHT!! AND ALL MY FRIENDS LIKE PC'S BETTER, TOO!!! IN FACT, OUR WHOLE SCHOOL HATES MAC'S!! WE THINK THEY ARE THE WORST COMPUTERS EVER!! SO HAH!!!
2007-12-28
4. Please! - I love this movie. It was pretty hilarious. But I don't want the whole album... I just want Kristin Chenoweth's song! I swear I almost cried when I heard it becuase I was waiting for her to sing throughout the whole movie and when she finally did, it was just amazing! I know someone from iTunes probably won't read this, but the whole album shouldn't be album only. Just sayin'.

5. Deck the Halls (Motion Picture Soundtrack) - Here's the major problem: my GB iPod has almost , songs on it, and a WHOLE BUNCH of them are CHRISTMAS SONGS. So I ALREADY HAVE a bunch of these songs, and listening to the second clips reminds me of why I DON'T Have the others- EXCEPT for O Holy Night by Kristen (sic) Chenoweth. I DON'T WANT TO BUY THE WHOLE ALBUM TO GET ONE SONG! It would be different if the other songs were such old stand-by types that everybody who loves Xmas didn't already have them, BUT . . . . .

1. The definitive Zerg experince - A masterfull blend of overly bombastic heart pumping tracks and hauntingly beautifull ones. This is StarCraft music at its best and fits the creepy Zerg race perfectly. I recomend this to anyone that loves the Zerg, StarCraft, and/or great classical music.
For the swarm!!

2. End Cinematic Song????!!!!! - Listened to the entire soundtrack it was awesome! The only bad part was the end cinematic song was left out!!! The song durning the end cinematic was one best in the game. For it not to be on the soundtrack is crazy! Blizzard, PLEASE add the song to iTunes! I am pretty sure I am not the only one who would love to have the song in their music library!

1. HAIL! - so a devil, a scorpion, and a doll walk into a bar, no, heaven... Emilie Autumn, Marc Sentar, Paul Sorvino, Tech Nne, Terrance Zdunich, Adam Pascal, The Hoff... what more could you want?! The soundtrack is phenomenal, Terrance and Saar did an absolutely stunning job, and if you're not in love, you're wrong. ALLELUIA!

2. Listen Back To Your Own Beautiful Domestication! - Alleluia! This is the fantastic sequal to the entrancing Devil's Carnival (Episode One). And it truly is a Heavenly experience for those who have been waiting heavily with antici............pation! This album is truly a delight to the ears, with it's nods back to the Hollywood Golden Era, and it's swings back to it's devilish predecessor's carnie feel. Jimmy Urine and his wife have to be the highlight of this album with their song "Little Dictation Machines" along with Tech's "Hitting on All Sevens" and T.Z.'s "After the Fall". I can not wait till this little carnival swings around to my neck of the woods in Texas so I can shake hands with the two men this show would be nothing without. Darren and Terrance, I'll see you in Austin!

3. It’s Heavenly! - Terrance and Saar have really outdone themselves, the instruments they used in recording really sell the Hollywood Golden Age theme they were going for with Heaven, without straying too far from the first movie. It complements the first firm without contrasting it. Shovel and Bone picks up where Grace For Sale left off, the Ark song sounds like something from Lawrence Welk, and Hoof and Lap sounds like something from Cabaret. The soundtrack really helps take TDC to the next level.

1. To Love!! - Amazing cd, exquisite...deep, touching songs every single one of them. It's lovely too to hear Morgan Freeman's dialog, one of the best actors and voices. Also, the one from Greg Keener, he is amazing, I've liked him since his days on Soup Talk!!! A movie to watch, love is always great, is just that at times it could stink, be unfair, or too late or too early...or too wrong... but I believe that is always great....enjoy the feast, Feast of Love!

1. One Of My Favorites - This movie was amazing. It inspired me to be proud of who I am. The sound track will give you confidence too. I cant see why people gave it a one star rating. They must hold a grudge against plus sized people. Just check the movie and sound track out. I can promise you its far from disapointing.

1. Gorgeous. Ageless. A beautiful piece of art. - This score is one of the most beautiful I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. The soft melodies, the seemless transistions from one song to the next. I love the ebb and flow of each, connected but unique in their own way. Beautiful soundtrack to paint, read, dance, and share in good company to.

2. Pure music gold! - This in my opinion is amongst the top film scores of the year! You can hear Adaline's melancholic emotion throughout this gorgeous piece of music magic. I tried to decide on my favorite track but honestly the whole score is way worth the $. price! A beautifully melancholic piece of film score that is worthy of an Oscar!

3. In a word “Magical” - Rob Simonsen is best known for his work on teen love stories like Days Of Summer, The Spectacular Now and The Way Way Back - but Age of Adaline is category all by itself. Lush, beautiful, romantic, nostalgic and never cheesy. In a single word, the music can be described as “magical”. Equal parts The Notebook and Twin Peaks the score perfectly blends elements of both magic and mystery in a charming tapestry of an ageless classic. The end title song “Start Again” completes the album for one of the most satisfying listens you’ll experience in a long time.

1. Simple, Elegant, and Emotional - The solo piano version of The Hours, played by Michael Riesman, is every bit as good as the original soundtrack. Due to the simpler arrangement (done by Riesman and Glass' famed protoge Nico Muhly, by the way), a certain elegance and profundity are simultaneously established. It is often said that the best music sounds good on whatever instrument on which it's played; this is certainly true for the soundtrack to The Hours. The original orchestral soundtrack to The Hours has already won a number of awards, and yet this version continues to haunt me with its beauty. If you're looking for a wildly experimental Philip Glass, this is not the place to look. The Hours is a culmination of a life's work in film music for Glass (although we can hope he still has many more ahead of him), and it is justly his most cohesive.
2008-08-31
2. Michael Riesman Did Not Write This Music - This score was written by Philip Glass. Riesman is only playing a piano version. And this is not the original film soundtrack recording which is much better. The original music is more haunting and fuller because it's a full orchestra. This is a cheap imitation.
2008-05-17
3. Better Than The Other... - I just heard the score for this film in two different versions, or am I hearing two different scores for two different films............ I don't know, can someone fill me in, because I really liked this one. The piano works, and the juxtaposition at certain key points actually blow the other score out of comparison. Much better. Buy this one.

4. Beautiful Music for an Amazing Movie - This is by far Michael Riesman's best work (also "The Illusionist" and "Notes on a Scandel"). The music fits perfectly with the movie and the lives of the women. I listen to this soundtrack all the time, when I go to sleep or when I'm reading a book or anytime. Very much worth it.

1. Yeah...I’m sold. - I just found the movie recently because of the screen writer Álex Garland and I am so excited that it was going the way I hoped -the two characters’ are smart and willing to cross a line but the villain is evil enough that she is able to make them almost seem dumb- even until the end. I do understand that the characters may not be well developed but you still can understand their purpose. The thread that made me feel comfort is the theme that evil and violence only causes fear from people (i. e. Domhnall Gleeson’s character, the minor thugs) and no one can/should such things. I’m still floored by the violence and tone/look of the film and Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby were amazing and Lena Headey was nearly as much a bch in this as Eva Green was in

1. Don't let the ratings fool you... - ...the unhappiness about some songs not being available on their own has nothing to do with the quality of this compilation. I enjoyed the movie mostly because of this soundtrack. On a lesser scale, it does for this film what the soundtrack did for Garden State. It stands on it's own and contains music by artists not previously in my collection. I suggest adding it to your own.

2. ho hum - Still a few good tunes on this album, however I agree it stinks to be forced to buy the whole album. That's why I satrted shopping I tunes in the first place...I hate paying for music I done't like. The only tunes on it that I like are: Oh, what a night Kids in America The things we do for love
2007-05-31
3. Make "Kids in America" available! - I'm only adding my voice to all of the other reviews of this soundtrack. Kim Wilde's "Kids in America" is one of the greatest songs of the s, and it is downright shameful to have to purchase an entire album just to get that one song. I don't plan on wasting space on my iPod with songs by Frankie Vallie and cc, just so I can hear Kim. The Johnny Cash song is probably fairly good, but this is just pathetic. "Kids in America" would be a huge seller if people could buy it, just from all of the people of my generation who would kill or die to have it.
2006-09-06
4. The whole album? Ridiculous - Ridiculous to expect me to pay $. and buy a lame album I have no interest in. Kids in America is the only song I want. Every other song is for sale independently, why not this one? I set up an account, now let me buy a single song for $.. Are you that hard up to move this album? I am dissatisfied as a customer and obviously not alone. Wake up iTunes, and lsiten to your customers.
2006-08-22
5. This is disappointing - As a very active iTunes costumer, I find this horribly frustrating. It seems that nearly everyone who has left a comment solely wanted "Kids in America," from Kim Wilde, but instead are being told that if they want one song, they must buy a whole album! People are not going to purchase an album they are not familliar with, not want. The way I see it is that you can either make ninety-nine cents from one song, or you can not make any money at all.
2006-06-30
6. I sit here alone and I wonder why . . . - . . . I can't buy Kim Wilde's single without dropping a Hamilton? If only there were another way: Like I might even want it recovered ethically. By the way, the situation is the same on Rhapsody and Yahoo Music Unlimited. It might have something to do with the label.
2006-06-21
7. kids in america - Has anyone ever noticed how many Epoxies songs remind you of Kids in America? Well, I got in the mood to hear the original version, and this is the first time I've encountered an "album only" itunes situation. I could understand if it was a Kim Wilde album that you had to buy in order to get the song, but if that song isn't the sole driver of people buying this soundtrack... if anyone actually does... I just don't know.
2006-06-02
8. This isn't what iTunes should be about - It doesn't matter if you like one song or the entire album. We should have the freedom as PAYING CUSTOMERS to choose which songs we like and want to buy, and which ones we don't. I mean, that's why I search through iTunes anyways, to get the songs I want without having to shill out the extra money for songs I don't. This is bad business. For shame.
2006-05-01
9. No 'Kids' - A pain, but not a scam... - I agree that making 'Kids in America' available only on the complete album sounds like the typical scam run by bands who can only manage hit, and need to pad an album with worthless filler just to make more money, but in this case it must be a U.S. licensing issue. If you look on the U.K. iTunes store, you'll find the song available for purchase as a single song -- if you have a U.K. iTunes account and U.K. credit card that is!
2006-03-11
10. Disgusted - I am prepared to Boycott iTunes altogether unless someone can explain to me why Jane Birkin's music is only available on this Movie Soundtrack. Is it a licensing issue? What about Jane Birkin's music sales? Doesn't she have a right to have her songs available individually. I'd bet her music would sell, gaining her royalties. How can she be cheated like this? Is she still alive? What gives? I'm not buying this album just to hear Jane Birkin's and Serge Gainsbourg's historic debut available only on this album. Is this Quentin Tarrantino's commercial trap? I feel insulted, cheated and ready to leave iTunes altogether.

11. i am so mad - ok i've been trying to find a decent jane birkin song if i want it i have to buy this stinkin album. i hate HATE!!!!! album only cd's this is so stupid wasnt itunes made to sell songs for cents not album only. i am so very mad. and i agree how the hell is kids in america only being sold in album only. i am really hating itunes now they have nothin in hear. its a piece of crap!
