This will definitely be the most played album in our home this Christmas holiday season and a favorite for the years ahead. I've been a fan of Aled Jones for many years and so I'm happy to see his new album available on iTunes. (It would also be great to see more of his earlier albums available, too. In truth, I would like to see ALL of his previous recordings made available. Hint. Hint.) There has always been a very special quality to Aled's voice. Throughout the years I have enjoyed and admired the talents of many fantastic musicians and singers, but when it comes to singing sacred music, Aled Jones has always been my favorite singer. 1. I Highly Recommend this Album to Anyone Who Enjoys Excellent Holiday Music that Warms You From the I - Here is an excellent collection of holiday fare from a fantastic chamber choir. Ragnar Bohlin was named Director of the San Francisco Symphony Chorus in . With them he has conducted such pieces as Carmina Burana, Handel's Messiah, Bach's Christmas Oratorio and the B Minor Mass, and he prepares this ensemble for performances under internationally renowned conductors. His outstanding work has been recognized with a Grammy Award for Best Choral Performance for Mahler's Symphony No. with Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony. In Ragnnar Bohlin founded Capella SF. Their album "Light of Gold", engineered by the acclaimed producer David v.R Bowles, is a collection of wonderfully arranged songs for the holidays. I must state upfront that I love holiday music performed by chamber choirs, and this is one of the best albums I've heard in this category. One of my favorite songs on the album is "Silent Night", which has a precise balance of voicing, and a pacing that warms you from inside on a cold winter's night. I highly recommend this album to anyone who enjoys excellent holiday music that will warm you from the inside.
