1. Decent Story, Good Acting, TERRIBLE Digitization - This was originally a story record, one which my husband absolutely adored as a kid and almost literally played the grooves out of. For a more casual Spidey fan like myself, it’s still a fun story. The plot is simple, and one well familiar to Spider-Man fans: super villain (in this case the Kingpin, played to perfection by the late Thayer David) kidnaps Aunt May and threatens to kill her unless Peter Parker kills Spider-Man. Adventure and angst ensue, with a healthy infusion of early s flavored rock songs. Now the downside, which ruined the experience for my husband and didn’t do a whole lot for me either — the digital transfer is dreadful. There are pops and crackles throughout, as if whoever handled the digitization simply dropped the needle on the turntable and walked away. There is no cleanup of any kind, and no track breakdowns (other than “Side One” and “Side Two”). And I honestly don’t believe (as some reviewers do) that this adds to the nostalgia value of the story — no, it just feels sloppy. This story really did deserve the few minutes it would have taken to do a decent digitization, especially considering the full album download price we are paying. Bitterly disappointing.

2. Great--But for Fans Only - My parents got me this album when I was years old, and I loved it. Listening to it now (GASP!!) years later, I still love it. For a record based on a comic book, it can be intense. That being said, if you are not a Spidey fan, you probably won't get into it. Also, it sounds like the album was recorded directly from the vinyl record. Personally, this adds to the nostalgia, so I don't mind, but others may feel differently. So, while I give it stars, for non-fans, I'd knock it down to . Unless you are really into Spider-man or had this album as a kid, I can't recommend it. Otherwise, it's great!!

3. This record was one of my favorite things growing up! - A wonderfully voice-acted story sprinkled with dated and unintentionally hilarious rock music. I only wish the full album artwork was available - the original album had a gatefold cover with the story inside and an awesome Romita Sr. back cover!

4. This Is Awesome - If you love the Seventies and you love Spider-Man then this is for you. Great vocal work and the music is in that made-to-order bubblegum pop sound of, say, or so. Plus Dr Strange sends the Kingpin to hell at the end. You buy this and you will be singing "It's Such A Groove To Be Free" till then end of your days. Yes you have to buy the whole thing (it isn't really only two tracks since both sides contain a lot of music and drama) instead of on a track-by-track basis, but brother it's worth it!

5. Truly a classic - My family had this on track and I remember listening to it often. It is classic SpiderMan and is a true reflection of its time. Originally released in , this is a true trip down Spidey memory lane. It's worth the cost. The songs are priceless. A "Rockomic"? How can you pass this up?

6. An Amazing (pardon the pun) Reflection of the Time - I actually own the original album, complete with original poster and artwork. Released in , this was a serious experiment by Marvel, and it's creator, Stan Lee, and was originally released on Buddah Records. I was a kid at the time, and had no idea what I was picking up at the Thrifty store LP bargain bin - but now I am certainly glad I did! John Romita Sr. did all the interior and exterior artwork, along with a poster of the front cover. Ron Dante (of the Archies) sang the songs, and Rene Auberjonois is the voice of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. It's a blast! But understand - it's a blast from the 's! At times the songs are unintentionally hilarious - "It's such a groove to be free" and "Moves like a spider, grooves like a man" are lyrics that could ONLY be written in the 's with a straight face - it really IS great fun!

1. Caillou's Movie Original Soundtrack - My Grandaughter and I Very, Very disapointed that the song she like the best song in the movie ending credits was not included!! "Everyday" by Marilou on the Originaql Soundtrack released in but only had been available on iTunes Canada even though the movie had be showing here in the U.S. on PBS and Sprout! I would have gave it Stars if it wasn't for this.

1. AMAZING - I am just finding this amazing cd after it came up on my Facebook feed. I work with kids everyday and this is such a fun cd that features amazing songs with sweet (but important!!) messages!
I HIGHLY recommend to anyone that has a kid, works with kids, or is occasionally around kids long enough to where they might think “Huh, some music for the kid would be swell!”
I would give million stars if I could!

1. Yes! - Mark is the epitome of the classical wind band euphoniumist. He has the pedigree as well as the dedication to be the ideal example to all aspiring wind band euphonium players. This is an absolute must-have for any musician looking for a great example of tone, pitch, rhythm, time, style, and proper phrasing.
