Brennan Lee Mulligan, Erika Ishii, Aabria Iyengar, and Lou Wilson hang out together and use games to make up stories. It's pretty good.

1. Transformative - These four have never failed to transform me for the better any time I've seen/heard them tell a story. Only one episode in and I can already feel the stirring of transformation. I know I will be left a different and better person, as will anyone who listens, by the stories these four tell. That's the power of good story, and these guys tell great stories. These are some of my favorite story tellers in the universe and it is amazing to listen to them at the top of their game in a passion project for themselves. The sound design and engineering is amazing. Listen with your good headphones folks, it's more than worth it.

2. Top tier DnD storytelling. - Brennan Lee Mulligan is the epitome of a great dungeon masters, whose stories are full of heart and humor, and he has surrounded himself with some of be best players in the business. Lou Wilson is a full on actor whose dramatic and comic chops are unparalleled in this space. Aabria Iyengar is a amazing DM in her own right and gets to flex her RP muscles on the other side of the screen to captivating success. Erica Ishii’s bewitching talent in the realm of role-playing space is put to good use. This is truly a murderer’s row of DnD actual play. The fact that I have discovered this a month later that I could have is almost enough to make me want to check my Twitter feed more regularly. If this podcast is able to survive the demanding scheduled of these highly sought after content creators, it will be one to rival NADDPOD itself. Can’t wait to hear more of this story.

3. Masterful - I am new to the actual play space. I've been consuming this kind if content for less than a year. That being said, I still wholeheartedly believe Erika, Aabria, Lou, and Brennan are truly, truly masters of the medium. I may be biased because I started learning about TTRPGS from Dimension , which Brennan runs, but I really believe you will not find more impassioned and talented storytellers. Their love for each other, and their stories, and their beautiful characters shines so brightly. And let us not forget the INCREDIBLE sound design. The jaunty theme of the children's adventure, contrasted by the sweeping dramatics of the more intense scenes makes the story all the more all-encompassing. I've cried many times over the course of the children's adventure (patreon babyyyy), and laughed more. Media truly does have the power to impact us, and for me, this is it. I've never been more inspired, or entrenched in a story that's barely even begun. Thrilled to be here for all the stories to come.

4. Masterful storytelling and sound design - When this was announced, I cannot tell you how excited I was for it. Brennan as DM and Lou, Aabria, and Erika as players? I mean, we all knew it was gonna be good. But I was blown away by the first episode, far exceeded by already high expectations. The storytelling, even just in the first two episodes that are public (not to mention the patreon content) is amazing. I’m so attached to these characters and there’s so few episodes. And then the sound design??? There’s just so much effort that goes into everything in the podcast and I’m so excited for more.
2023-03-04
5. A loving work of art - Aabria, Brennan, Erika, and Lou have somehow managed to each wrench a piece of their hearts and send it directly to my headphones. Not only is this a concerning physiological anomaly, it also forced me to shed shining, smiling tears in the middle of my workday at the beauty of the story they’ve created together. And I haven’t even finished the preludes. There’s no price I wouldn’t pay for a sixth star to give them.
2023-03-04
6. THE Benchmark - I love to listen to actual plays. But this? This is high f&$ing art. When I saw this podcast on Aabriya Iyengar’s Twitter, I immediately dropped everything and subbed. If you can afford to be a Patreon member, DO IT. Every second they’ve recorded is a lush wonderland that mainlines dopamine right past your ears into your brain. This is absolute magic. Nothing feels forced or fake, yet they’re all so responsive and intuitive in their RP. This is that elusive alchemy all of us who play TTRPGs want to experience. It’s sincere without being cringey and the production is stellar. Highly recommend.
2023-03-04
7. Stellar Storytelling - The storytelling, the friendship, the heart. The cast is phenomenal, the story is everything to me already, and just so captivating that I immediately cared about these characters. There is just so much love and care in this project already, and I’m so excited to see it continue to grow and flourish.
2023-03-04
8. Truly Amazing - This podcast is beyond fantastic! The sound design, emotion, and storytelling that these four manage to create together in even just the first episode is so magical. I cannot recommend this enough to anyone who wants to be pulled into a whole other world that is truly full of wonder. If you want to support them even more, you should subscribe to their patron for The Children’s Adventure. It adds some emotional context and all of their improv skills in such deep and memorable moments is really something to behold. Seriously cannot recommend this podcast enough.

9. the epic tale of my dreams - a beautiful, tragic, yet hopeful story of three friends who found each other in a summer of magic growth. i’m thrilled to see where this tale unfolds, for better or worse. do yourself a favor and subscribe to their patreon; i relived every vivid, deja vu-like memory of my childhood, even if they weren’t mine, during the children’s adventure. plopped myself down and made art, puzzled, and took chalk to my outdoor patio. it’s transporting and wondrous.
2023-03-04
10. The most approachable improv storytelling! - Even if you’ve held off on listening to D&D/tabletop associated podcasts before, give this one a shot. The story is captivating, hilarious, tragic, and beautiful, and it promises so much more as episodes continue to come out. Definitely give this a shot!

1. Long overdue listen - My boyfriend has been raving about TAZ since I've met him and I was always hesitant to listen. I wasn’t into D&D and it just didn’t seem like my cup of tea. After running out of episodes from my own podcasts, I decided to try TAZ. I have binged every episode/arc over the past two months and it has been WORTH IT. These guys are hilarious and know to keep someone entertained even if they aren’t into role playing games. The stories are well thought out and the characters are amazing. Even if D&D isn’t your thing, TRY THIS. Now one of my favorite podcasts!!!
2023-02-23
2. Not good. At all - Sorry but I tried to get into the voices but these guys can’t keep a string of thought longer than seconds without seguing somewhere else or being interrupted by each other. It reminds me of all the hours wasted back when I’d play P&P RPGs waiting to get to the meat of the game. People who really need to listen to themselves speak, I guess.
2023-02-19
3. Mostly good with some stumbles - The Balance campaign will always be iconic, and Amnesty is absolutely amazing. Graduation was fine, but was an example of a first time DM biting off more than he could chew. Ethersea honestly didn’t really grab me, although the mini-world building campaign they did using the quiet year was spectacular. Unfortunately, the current steeplechase lost me and I stopped listening. I’ll probably come back for the next campaign.
2023-02-03
4. Try Steeplechase - Solid plug for the new storyline, Steeplechase. Justin knocks it out of the park with the voices ( voices by episode ), and the camaraderie is clear to see. Getting to do an awesome RPG with you brothers is one thing, but getting to do it with your dad is a whole different level. Long time listener, long time fan, and if you’re on the fence, I’m here to say just give it a go. What’s the worse that could happen? You laugh a lot?
2023-02-03
5. TAZ IS THE BEST - I was hooked immediately when the show was still on the Balance arc. I binge listened to catch up so I could ball my eyes out at the finale on the parking lot of my work. Since then I’ve loved their family banter and amazing creative work. All arcs from balance, to ether sea have all been outstanding. I can’t wait to see where Steeplechase takes us.
2023-01-26
6. Awesome - It took me a while to listen (coming from MBMBAM) but once I did I was completely hooked. There are so many amazing arcs and the creativity of the stories is just incredible. All the characters are super easy to become attached to and I get so immersed even when I listen at work. Fantastic work as always from the McElroy’s and their amazing crew.
2023-01-18
7. THE THEME IS IMMACULATE - Y’all.. oh my god. I’ve been a listener since way back in the early MBMBAM days and TAZ has been such a joy but the theme for this season??? THE THEME SONG FOR STEEPLE CHASE IS SUCH A BOP. Whoever is creating these theme songs??? Is so incredibly talented and I hope you show them this.
2022-12-24
8. Perfect Entry-Level RP - These boys and their father have fabulous comedic and dramatic chemistry. Their attempts to play more tightened down, serious scenes or campaigns can feel tonally confusing at best, the light-hearted, goof filled majority of the programming is an absolute treasure for anyone turned off by more serious roleplay. Not to mention anyone who is new to D&D gets to learn the basics along with them during Balance! I'd have to say my favorite arcs / campaigns have been early Balance, Amnesty, Hootenanny, and Lords of Crunch. Steeplechase has been absolutely incredible so far! Justin has a distinct understanding of how to keep things dramatically engaging while still allowing for copious amounts of levity. Love these boys (and their progenitor). p.s. please no more guests
2022-12-20
9. Hysterical and heartwarming- born storytellers - I’ve now listened to every episode of the series a few times and look forward each week to the new releases. Every season has been distinct and really good, and I love hearing how each of the wonderful family members brings something incredible to the imaginary table.
2022-12-08
10. Funniest Adventuring Group - I cannot put to words how funny this show is — I’ve been at work listening and get slack messages to stop laughing so much I shake the desks. I’m way behind, only episode , and when Travis stops to take a call and the others do golf announcer voices I had to go home and change my pants. I love this show

1. - I’ve been listening for years and have listened to every season. Sometimes I want to rip my hair out because the themes seem to have no purpose (coughcoughlastseasoncoughcough) and sometimes the stories are poorly written both grammatically and stylistically. However, this season prompted me to write a review— it’s been great so far! I really appreciate the voice acted Poe readings and the stories have been more solid on average. You guys are doing great
2023-02-26
2. Long time listener, first time caller - Love the show! The voice acting is superb! I for one appreciate the commitment to featuring stories dealing with horror from all walks of life. Don’t listen to the anti-woke nonsense in these reviews. The stories are excellent! And I like the middle ad break to give listeners a chance to catch their breath! My favorite tales are supernatural/urban legend type stories, and the best of the best are ones that bring the listener into the conflict. ((I.e. “now that you’ve heard my story it’ll come for you too..” The only thing I’d give in criticism((and it’s a bit more personal preference than anything)) I don’t find the stories of being stuck at sea scary. Lately there are whole chunks of episodes where one if not more stories are about being stuck on a boat/on a ship/in the water etc.. now these stories are written well and acted well but it just doesn’t get my hair standing on end like other stories. Keep on frightening and disturbing!

3. The best horror podcast out there! - Seriously, this is one of, if not the best horror story podcasts out there. I’ve been listening since and while it’s taking me longer than I’d like to get through the entire catalogue ( I listen to too many podcasts at once and I rotate what I listen to), the quality of the show continues to get better and better. I’m fact, my only complaint about the quality is the fact that it’s been so good that it sets the bar a little high for other shows out there. But if anything, I’d say that’s a good problem to have. Even the stories I didn’t like (which hey, with a horror story podcast that tells several different stories, not every one of them will be one I jam with) we’re still told in an amazing way. The only thing I’m not looking forward to with this podcast is catching up to the current episodes and having to wait for new ones to come out. You guys keep up the good work! Also, just going to throw this out there in case the No Sleep folks read this review: Would you guys do a collab with Dead By Daylight? I think it’d be cool playing as one of the voice actors, or even Cummings as well as maybe one of the more prolific monsters from the tales they’ve told.

4. LOVE - I found this podcast over a year ago and absolutely fell in love. Realized I had been listening to the two newest seasons so went all the way back to season and started from there. I listen every single day at work and finish about two episodes a day. I will be sad once I’m caught up and waiting for new episodes and would love to see one of their live shows.
2022-11-04
5. Pretty much the pedestal of all short stories podcasts - Been listening to this podcast for a little over a year. I’ve given many others in the same genre a try and I can’t bring myself to follow those. In short, NoSleep’s worst stories are still very good. The best stories are phenomenal and in a class by themselves.
2022-10-17
6. Best Sound Design and Most Immersive - I’ve listened to all episodes of NoSleep and four different horror podcasts, along with some episodes from several other horror podcasts. What’s easily found is that NoSleep is by far the best at making no mistakes, sound design, and quality of content! These attributes contribute to what I believe to be the best and most immersive horror podcast out there! One thing I wish for? A new episode every . days instead of once a week would be awesome!

7. Great!! - I just started listening, but it’s pretty good so far! I’m impressed!! And I’m seriously considering buying season passes. Actually, I’ve pretty much made my mind up to buy them. {as a side note, normally I ABHOR the advertisements and skip right past them, but the Nature Box advertisement that you guys did is great! I lmbo!! I actually rewound so that I could listen to it. No! My spleen!! } I’ve seen where some reviewers have said that the earliest seasons are the best. I haven’t started season yet, but I actually think that the podcast has gotten better as the years have progressed. I started listening at SE & went backwards {I’m at SE now} and honestly, I think that the more recent seasons that I’ve listened to are better. To each their own, I guess lolol. {ps I Love most of the regular contributors on the podcast, but ....{and I’m sure that they’ve heard this before lol} I Really Love Peter Lewis’s and Nikolle Doolin’s voices! } UPDATE TO OTHER CERTAIN REVIEWERS - - THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOUR RACISM AND HOMOPHOBIA!!!! IF U DON’T LIKE IT, THEN DON’T LISTEN!! THERE IS NO NEED FOR YOU TO LEAVE HATEFUL COMMENTS!! GO. AWAY. UPDATE I just finished the season Valentine’s Bonus Episode. I had to come back to say that that was one of the most beautiful stories that I have ever heard / read. Seriously .... it brought tears to my eyes. Thank you Jesse Clark. Amazing job!! UPDATE I’m up to season now, & the stories in this season (se) just aren’t as good. I’ve read other reviews saying as much, but until I got to this season, I didn’t get it but NOW I do. Several of the stories that they’ve chosen to perform for se are just awful. They are nowhere near the quality of stories that I’ve come to expect & love from the NoSleep Podcast. Some of them end ridiculously, & some just don’t make sense. Like, at all. They’re downright terrible compared to the earlier season’s episodes. I’m very disappointed in them. Season ep — I’m sorry but I have to say this: •••••Danielle Mccrae’s narration & pronunciation is VERY VERY VERY!! hard to listen to!! {& you know EXACTLY WHY!!!!!} I can’t listen to any story that she reads bc i can’t get past her terrible reading.

8. Shockingly awful - Old-time follower from the early days. After season , the quality launches down the drain with such audacity that it is surreal. Waited a long time to post this review, but every time I revisit this show the quality has outdone itself in blandness and horrendous ‘voice acting.’ Stop making this show.
2022-10-10
9. A Chef’s kiss - The only regret I have with listening to this podcast is finding it first. It has set the bar very high and now my brain wants to compare every horror podcast to it. The storytelling is phenomenal. The sound effects and the voice acting is a chef’s kiss. It completely enthralls you within the story. You almost feel like you become part of it. Everyone apart of this podcast has done an incredible job. I’m a fan for life.

10. Promises of bone-chilling content FULFILLED! - The production quality of the NoSleep podcast is literally some of the best around! The acting, the stories, the horror... I just can't! The mood of this podcast is everything that it promises and there's a good reason why it's got such high ratings, a strong fan base, and longevity! Tune in to see why!

1. Amazing! - This is the first dramatic podcast I’ve ever listened to for more than one episode. The story immediately drew me in and I wanted to know more. The acting is brilliant, the voices give such a depth to the story creating an auditory picture. The cast is so strong from the leads of Misha Collins, Alan Tudyk, Hilarie Burton Morgan and Wil Wheaton to the additional voice characters it is award quality acting. As much as I want the answer to the Bridgewater mystery I don't want the series to end.
2023-02-28
2. What the “F”? - Great series, but seriously, are all the f-bombs really necessary? Expletives are fine to season the narrative, but come on, this shouldn’t be the Wolf of Wall Street. You guys are better writers than this. I would love to be able to recommend this series to others, but you’ve given me too many effin reasons to not do that.
2023-02-27
3. Love this show! - I'm always looking for something new to listen to and I sometimes get tired of the traditional podcasts. Bridgewater is a great show to listen to - I just wish there was more of it!!! The characters are great and the actors who play them are fantastic. I've been hunting around trying to find something similar to listen to while waiting for the next episode but haven't yet. I recommend this to everyone!!!
2023-02-27
4. Incredible acting! - I have never listened to a fiction podcast but decided to give it a try because it featured Misha Collins and was created by Aaron Mahnke. I was hooked after the first episode and binged the rest of the series! The acting is amazing and I can see the story being played out in my head. I can’t wait for more!
2023-02-12
5. The Best!! - This will hook you and will not let go! When you’re not listening, you’re thinking about it, and when you’re done binging you’ll go through withdrawal and pine for the rd season!! SO well written!! Wonderfully performed!! If there are Oscars for podcasts, this should be the top nominee!! I love this podcast!!

6. Academic realness - Hey, I am really enjoying Bridgewater. And amazing all the star power that you have in your vocal actors. I have been an academic, and the portrayal of the academic world seems off. Vippen is a PhD student. So he’s doing his dissertation under Dr., not Mr. Bradshaw. He he would be referred to as Bradshaw’s graduate student or advisee, being a TA is a minor role. Vippen would probably refer to Bradshaw as his advisor. Dr. Bradshaw’s boss is not the Dean and the Dean probably wouldn’t call him if he missed a couple classes. his boss is his department chair, the Dean is the department chair’s boss. If Vippen had been working for more than a couple years with Dr. Bradshaw, he would have his own dissertation project that he was interested in, he’s not just a research assistant to Dr. Bradshaw. anyone who has been in that academic world, would know these things, so it’s kind of grating. The police chief would definitely call Jeremy, Dr. Bradshaw. A big element of a young academic’s life is getting tenure. If Dr. Bradshaw is in a tenure track position, his book will figure in either his quest for tenure or the amount of safety that he has since he already has tenure. Anyway, I hope this helps you could literally find any academic that you know would be able to repeat this for you, hope you continue to make many shows.

7. The perfect supernatural podcast - I love listening to supernatural thrillers. What I love about this podcast is the pace. I am able to listen to it while I am on the treadmill. The story is not told a fast pace that requires my full focus, but it isn’t slow and drawn out either. I love the character development and the clear relationships between characters. There is even some humor thrown in here and there. The story is well though out and interesting. I like a podcast that can paint a picture with words. Often I forget I am listening to the podcast as it plays out like a movie in my mind. I have listened to almost all the Grim and Mild podcasts and this by far is my favorite. Misha Collins plays a fantastic professor, I really hope to hear him in other podcasts in the future.
2023-02-06
8. Wanted to Like It… - I really did want to like it, but maybe I’m just picky… I’m sorry but I guess it’s just easy to take shots at religion. I love Misha Collins and they got some amazing voice actors for this, but if you want a story with spooks that respects source materials while also creating something new, listen to The Magnus Archives. It gives you a main character who is skeptical but a story that doesn’t get stale three episodes in.
2023-01-27
9. Brilliant & immersive… - What an amazing podcast! The acting is nuanced & draws you in to the story & the characters emotional journey. The atmosphere is further enhanced by the detailed layering of background sounds that make the real world fade away until you are in the Bridgewater Triangle. This is the best podcast I’ve listened to in ages. Cannot recommend it enough!!!

Comments
1. Not scary at all, and quickly grows repetitive - The show format, while interesting, does not lend itself well to a cohesive story. I listened well into season one and there was no actual plot other than a recurring glow cloud and the host’s crush. At a certain point, it got so boring I couldn’t continue listening. The only good aspect was the comedy. Most of the spook stories were funny rather than scary, which I would have enjoyed if it wasn’t so repetitive.
2023-02-23
2. Wonderfully weird - I finally finished binge listening and have really enjoyed it. It’s very creative, the characters are fun and the narrator has a great voice and way of acting. I love how unapologetically weird it is and how funny it can be at times. It took about a month of listening during work to get through it, I’m not sure what my favorite storyline is but it would probably involve Kevin. He was delightful. I don’t know how long they can keep making episodes but I’ll listen as long as they keep making them. Keep up the great work, guys. I just ordered all the WTN books. I’m looking forward to reading them. Oh, I have a hack for those complaining about the ads and weather. I found this hidden button you can tap that fast forwards through them if you don’t want to listen to that part. I also found another hack for those complaining about it being political. It’s called “getting over yourself, you’re not the main character of the universe; Cecil and Carlos are.” I hope that helps.

3. All time favorite podcast - When I first started listening I referred to this as my “nonsense” show. Turns out it is nonsense, but also it isn’t? The main story line totally creeps in (in a good way!). Love the writing, love the delivery. It’s just good wholesome nonsense and I can’t get enough!

5. Amazing! - This podcast is amazing, though I noticed after I began to listen to it strange events began occurring in my town. I have always been a fan of wheat and wheat by-products, but recently there have been many reports of wheat and wheat by-product attacks. A strange man has been following me, though I am not sure is is a man or human at all. It whispers only one thing. “Thë dîßtæńt príñçê įš ćømīńg fór ÿõû”. Edit- It is here. I am hiding in my closet, praying that it- the thing- does not get me her

6. Amazing content- terrible listening experience - Please just go subscriber or at least have the option. The creativity is still there, Cecil is still amazing the writing is great and I understand everyone needs to get paid. I’d happily pay to get a significant amount of content because now the ad to content ratio in these episodes makes it hardly worth a listen. Once a truly great podcast, so bogged down with ads the it’s hard to get through…

7. Comedy Ahead of Our Times - My -year-old introduced me to this. That alone gives me hope for the younger generation. Comedy is a necessity, and every era gets the comedy it needs. We need this all-American blend of Pythonesque absurdity, screaming eldritch horror, and satire so sharp it hardly hurts at all when it gouges your eyes out. If you're old enough, it will remind you of Firesign Theatre or “Bob” and the Cult of the Sub-Genius.

8. Love it but... - I love this podcast it is so interesting and is fun to listen to when I need a break from everything. But it's honestly disappointing the amount of ads there is only really mins of story telling with ads and "weather". I do understand why they need ads but it gets annoying all forced on you in the beginning. I know the creators have better things to do than look at my review but if you do happen to see this please consider moving half the ads to the end thank you goodbye.

9. ALL HAIL THE GLOW CLOUD - I absolutely love this podcast! It's really funny and (insert fake ghost voice) creeeeeeepy.
;)
I like the fake ads in the middle of the podcast that just turn out to be random well known companies! A I WOULD have put , but SO MANY ADS am I right?!?!? Like minutes of ads total ugggggggggg and they're the same Every. Single. Time.... ITS DRIVING ME CRAZYYYYYY! Ok so. Since I'm done ranting, Great job night vale peeps! ( also I know u guys only put out episodes a month, but I blow through them like or a day...(more episodes greatly appreciated) I'm on episode like something... So yes. Um. Possibly if you could put out maybe or episodes a month instead of I would appreciate that more than u guys know. (scroll down for special report) (Intro music) Last night the glow cloud informed us that they are bringing (drum roll please.....) THEIR FAMILY. Shortly following, glowing holes opened up in the ground and many, MANY new glow clouds came from them. (radio fizz) THIS IS A SPECIAL REPORT. THE GLOW CLOUDS HAVE SURROUNDED THE DOG PARK. DO NOT GO INTO THE DOG PARK. THE SHERIFF'S SECRET POLICE WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE. THE VAGUE YET MENACING GOVERNMENT AGENCY HAS LED THE GLOW CLOUD INTO THE DPG PARK. THE HOODED FIGURES IN THE DOG PARK NOW HAVE THEIR REQUESTED 'VENDING MACHINES.' ...aLl HaIl tHe GlOw ClOuD... (more radio fizz)
So I was like, yes, duh.. And then I left NIGHTVALE. For like a second.. And in that second, I saw everything. EVERYTHING. Yepppp. ... Yes and now... I give you...
THE WEATHER
(MUSIC PLS STAND BY)
goodnight nightvale... goodnight... tune in next for an hour that feels like minutes but takes forever...and ever...and I mean it.

10. Boring - People listening to this have too much time on their hands. Cheesy writing, over drawn presentation. Feels like a high school creative English lit assignment. There are definitely better fictional narrative podcasts. I gave this episodes and I want that time back. Tries to be quirky but the “David Lynch meets NPR” angle makes a watered down brew that I can’t stomach. Pompous and dull, a real disappointment. Maybe was something interesting ten years ago but all petered out.

Ella Sinclair (Alyssa McKay) is a survivor. She's fierce, brave, and jaded. She finds herself a teenage orphan trying to stay afloat and finish high school on her own. Enter The Royals. 1. Absolutely terrible - It’s pretty much just a sleazy story about girls with daddy issues. The one is a year old cam girl at the start which I would think is technically underage smut.
Whether or not it’s a fictional character that’s dipping into some crude territory People get off on anything anymore

1. Soothing Bedtime Stories - So far I’ve very much enjoyed The Wizard of Oz and Winnie the Pooh series. The host’s voice is not only soothing and comforting, but her character voices really make me smile. She brings the characters to life in a way that has inspired me to actually buy the novels she’s adapted for the podcast! While I’m very much entertained, I also haven’t yet been able to complete an episode without falling asleep at some point. I do love the concept of the show, but would appreciate more fairytales or stories that lend themselves to a soothing and vivid dream-like state. I’d love to listen to the Chronicles of Narnia, for example. I’m not sure I’ll listen to every series as some stories don’t strike me as bedtime appropriate. Still, what I’ve listened to so far has been immensely enjoyable, so I’m giving it / stars and hope it will improve upon the type of stories.

2. Looking for ways to relax… You just found it! - I don’t actually use this podcast for falling asleep to. I use it when I’m working. If you love, classical literature, you’re gonna love this podcast! Elizabeth’s voice is very soothing, the relaxation exercises have been so helpful for me, and the music is fantastic. Thanks Elizabeth and team.

3. Hard to Understand - I enjoyed listening to many books Elizabeth has done, and her voice is very soothing. However, I am finding it very difficult to understand her whilst she is reading To the Lighthouse. Her accent is very strong and she does not annunciate clearly. It’s as if she gave up trying to speak clearly that would benefit non-British English speakers. I have tried and tried to listen, but it’s too much of a strain to understand her, so I have given up. It’s too bad because hers was the best podcast to use as a sleep aid.
2023-02-23
4. Too many Premium episodes - Not everyone can afford premium. I used to love your channel. Update: I’m not sure if To the Lighthouse was a good idea. From what I’ve been hearing it’s depressing and the dad is a straight up tyrant. My anxiety disorder kicks in pretty fast with this book you’re reading. It puts me on edge with my insomnia and PTSD as well. Shame. I was looking forward to it.

5. Fantastic - please do all Anne of Green Gables series!! - My favorite podcast to fall asleep to - please do the entire Anne of Green Gables series, they’re my favorite! The jane eyre book was surprisingly creepy and I ended up not finishing listening to all of it, just because I like more wholesome positive vibes for going to sleep - as my dreams get quite imaginative. Thanks for such an amazing podcast!

6. READ ALL OF THIS! - Now if any body who writes reviews reads others, I would just like to say, I agree with everything that Nothing But Ashes said. I love Anne If Green Gables but the part in the wood was kind of creepy. I also LOVED The Wind In The Willows book. New favorite book because of this podcast! This podcast is amazing there is hardly any adds in the beginning of the episode and then Elizabeth gives a breathing exercise! Then she gives a recap and starts the story. It is the best sleep podcast I have ever listened to! I fall asleep in five minutes! I love being able to fall asleep so easily! I love the sound of Elizabeth’s voice it is so amazing my sister doesn’t get scared if it! She gets scared of a quite a few voices on podcasts! You are the only sleep show I can fall asleep to and trust me I have tried a lot of sleep podcasts. I am years old and I don’t take naps, but this would make me fall asleep to a nap if I wanted it to! I have tried a bunch of podcasts but they are all to scary this is the top podcast! I love this more than any other sleep podcast ever!!! Elizabeth’s voice is so calming I think it is the perfect pitch for sleep! I was thrilled when I found out she was my favorite voice from Get Sleepy! Elizabeth was the only voice I could listen to to fall asleep! Elizabeth your voice is magic! I can’t fall asleep with out listening to your podcast now! Now I need to fall asleep…sweet dreams goodnight! (P.S I highly recommend this podcast it is amazing! ) ( P.P.S I have a hard time with sleep podcasts they have to not be to boring or to interesting! This one is just right! I have never finished an episode! That is no lie!! ) (P.P.P.S, to all of you complaining about having to pay for a subscription, the main stories you don’t have to pay for, and they are amazing I might add. So stop complaining about what you don’t have and focus on what you actually can listen to!!!!)Your huge and now sleepy fan,Sophia

7. Anne of Green Gables - I love the Sleepy Bookshelf! I absolutely adore her reading of Anne of Green Gables! She read it better than anyone could. And Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was beautifully done, thank you Elizabeth! One thing I will say…I never listen to books I haven’t already read and know. In the beginning of every new book she reads, she always says she removes any scary parts but keeps all the words, protagonists and antagonists. But I know these books well—she hasn’t removed anything, and there are parts that can be startling when listening to at night. The only one that comes to mind that really startled me (I’m ashamed to say because I’ve read and know the book like the back of my hand) was when Anne went through the Haunted Wood in Anne of Green Gables. Perhaps Elizabeth could live up to her word a little more in that area. But other than that, three cheers for Elizabeth! And I love your accent—I want to do a podcast just like you, but my American voice seems plain in comparison.

8. Where did the ending sibilants go? - I feel like this is a new thing: Elizabeth keeps dropping the last sounds of certain words, most often ‘x’ or ‘s’ sounds but sometimes others. For instance, she tells us to “relah” instead of “relax.” It may sound petty to complain about it, but it takes me right out of the story. What is going on with her enunciation?
2022-12-19
9. Can’t stay awake - I have to get up for work super early so when I wake up @ or am, I get really anxious to get back to sleep. I was really struggling. Then, I tried the Sleepy Bookshelf and I get pulled back to sleep so fast. I think I barely make it through the intro. I’ve now listened to every episode Pride and Prejudice and read the book, listening to Jane Eyre and reading v the book. The point is that listening to Elisabeth’s call quiet voice puts me right to sleep! Feels like a very natural way to get a good night’s sleep. Thank you
2022-12-14
10. The cure to my husband’s snoring - We had tried everything…. Ear plugs, mouthguards, special headphones, kicking him. I’m an anxious sleeper and he snores like a horse. Finally, we needed separate rooms even when we travelled. Enter the Sleepy Bookshelf and Elizabeth’s beautiful, quiet narration. She cleverly skips troubling passages and modulates her voice to a pitch that is magical. I still wear earplugs and an eyemask with headphones. But with Elizabeth providing the perfect, even volume in a calm voice, he can snore, and I sleep through it. I can honestly say this podcast has improved my marriage!
2022-12-02
11. Best Sleep Podcast! - Thanks for a lovely podcast, Elizabeth. I love it so much I subscribed, and sincerely appreciate your wonderfully sleepy reading of my favorite classic stories. If I might make two suggestions: first, it would be great for listeners (or at least subscribers) to be able to choose a version of the stories that has a shorter interval between chapters. I am not infrequently woken up when I hear a voice after an interval of quiet. It seems like it would be pretty easy to create them? I know I’m not the only listener who has trouble with this. Also, just fyi, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Part , is playing Fall of the House of Usher instead. The entry labeled as Fall of the House of Usher is also playing the Poe story, so they’re not just reversed— there appears to be no Part posted for Journey to the Center of the Earth. Thanks again for your excellent work!

1. Wrong Format, Good Story - Just like movies get adapted from books, the producers failed to do that for podcast format. This is an audiobook, leave it at that. If you are moving it to podcast format then you should have hired voice talent to adapt from the audiobook. This is just someone reading a book to you. Disappointing because as a podcast it could have been so cool!
2023-02-24
2. Bookburners - Ok so..Bookburners review..here goes. Bookburners is not an audio drama. I mention this only to inform curious future listeners. My rating has nothing to do with that. I have no problem with audio books which is what this is. I like audiobooks a lot actually. My issue with Bookburners is that the story ends up being so dull. It’s a shame because the story does have potential but the characters in Bookburners are without question one hundred percent DULL!! Flat, lame..just bleh. I space out constantly while listening to Bookburners getting pulled back into the story ever ONCE IN A WHILE when they start doing something interesting. And I’m sorry maybe it’s just me but every single demon they fight feels just like the last one. Yawn. Really though it’s the characters in this story that make it all so boring. It IS great for putting me to sleep tho! I value that.

1. Awesome podcast!! - Accidentally found the show while searching for scary pods. I love love love it!!! Great story teller and I like how he adds all the sounds and creepy music on some of the stories. You’ve got a fan for life brother!! Oh and btw I have an absolute favorite sound and that’s whenever any of the males cry in the stories, I start rolling when one of his male characters start crying not because of any of the awful stuff happening to them but because the crying is just hilarious it’s GREAT!!!Keep ‘em coming!!!!!!!

2. First choice any day! - I love horror but most of these channels produce more comical stories with a vague “horror” theme. But Dr. NoSleep? AMAZING!!! Virtually all of his stories/episodes give me the creeps and leave me begging for more! Thank you Dr NoSleep, you’re easily my top choice for scary stories!

4. Love love love this creepy podcast! - I love listening to podcasts while I do my mundane work or even while working around the house. I found Dr. nosleep while browsing for something new to listen to. Some days murder mysteries don’t cut it. I don’t know what it is about his voice but it just draws you in. I’ve been Hooked ever since! His stories are just the right amount of creepy suspense and horror! I love it!

5. uuuh - A lot of uh very down bad fictions the author reads. There’s one where a dude get kidnapped by a vampire because she wants him to be her husband, another where people commit suicide because they want to see a girl in the sea, one where a dude prostitues himself on the dark web for middle aged sadistic woman, a creepy pasta that has a sex scene for halloween. Why are you choosing these creepypasta to read?

6. The only podcast I listen to - Not only does Dr. No Sleep offer the most wonderful variety of horror stories, but his voice is absolutely perfect for it! Whenever I can’t sleep it, his soothing voice is just perfect and also gives a creepy edge to the stories. I have been binging his episodes for a little over a month now, and have almost finished them which makes me so sad but thankfully he uploads weekly! There’s over episodes, so that tells you how often I listen haha! Going to have to sign up for his patreon to get the extra episodes for sure! Dr. No Sleep, whoever you are, thank you for your talent and being the reason I started listening to podcast. No one else is anywhere close to how talented you are and how incredible your voice and stories are! / recommend!

In the mountains of central Appalachia, blood runs as deep as these hollers and just as dark. 1. More woke junk. - Deeply, DEEPLY disappointed that yet again a good podcast started going woke. The story teller is truly superior. The story is complex, not overly complex but in the way that makes you pay attention. But the woke-ness.... One again the woke claims another scalp of a great pod cast. The villains- ALL white men. As matter of fact there as very few decent white men at all. Any person who is worthy of holding the hero mantle will be a a woman, or person of color. Episode as much as says if bad things happen in the world they happen to women, people of color or anyone who is not hetro. The simple math of that is, white men are the oppressors and everyone else is the oppressed. More woke trash. It really is a shame this podcast had the makings of being one of the best out there.

2. Nostalgic Voices, Dialects, Music, and Storytelling - I have missed this accent. I can hear my grandparents and great-grandparents in it. The narration is exactly how I’d remember stories being told around the table at night. The stories themselves are just like my mother used to tell when I was growing up. They’re eerie, they’re dark, and there’s something alive behind the story. It has a life of its own, like folklore. It seeps into your skin and bones to have a chat with memories you’d forgotten about. This is an excellent podcast that reminds me of my childhood in the country in the best possible way, and I can’t commend it enough.
2023-03-02
3. Incredible storytelling - The lord and character development are top notch. It manages to be horror that is more supernatural than jump-scare-y, which is more my jam. Also, there is complexity and nuance of characters and their situations, which makes them relatable even if their timelines (or powers) aren’t.

4. I am addicted to this excellent storytelling - After finishing The Magnus Archives I despaired of finding another horror podcast as immersive, creative and compelling. Well, I finally found it in Old Gods of Appalachia. This is storytelling at it's absolute finest. I find myself making excuses to go driving in the car or do housework so I slip on three next episode. Download it now!

5. Feels Like Home - Although I was born and raised east of the Appalachia mountains in Virginia by parents not of Appalachia, this show strikes a chord somewhere deep in my bones, resonates in my soul, and feels like coming home. This was my second listen through of Season One and part of Season Two and first listen through of the rest of Season Two and what has been released of Season Three. Season Two wasn’t complete my first listen through and I didn’t listen to all of what had been released of Season Two at the time because I didn’t want it to be over. I am so grateful and happy that I came back and took another listen and am now current. Thank y’all so much for keeping me company and being part of my chosen family.

6. Could’ve Been Good, But… - Virtual Signaling meets the Unbeatable Mary Sues that are the Walker Sisters. Even though these things are imaginably ancient and powerful they’re no match for some mortal women, because WOMYN POWAH! No Walker woman could ever been defeated because they’re so much more intelligent and powerful and wise and wonderful and blah blah blah blah blah. Creepy Pasta nonsense written by people with the writing talent of the average middle school child.

7. Great storytelling, needs volume modulation - I love this podcast. It has great storytelling, creative alt realities, interesting non-linear story lines and it’s creepy without stopping me from sleeping after listening. I love the appropriately spooky music that supports the story. I even supported on Patreon so I really like it. THAT SAID, the volume modulation is horrendous. Especially between the storytelling and musical interludes. I tend to listen in my car and even with speakers surrounding me, I have absolutely crank the volume to hear the story and then hurriedly twist the dial WAY down so I don’t blow an eardrum when the episode begins or ends. It startles my dog awake. This was a problem early on and I kinda thought by season three they’d have some people mention this so they might fix it but NOPE. I really hope this is something that can be fixed for future episodes (and even re-master previous ones??) because it does detract from the listening experience.

8. A story that always leaves wanting more - I have been a fan now for years. I am not going to lie when I first found this pod cast I binged it all in a single day and didn’t sleep till, I heard them all. Cam is amazing story writer and the narrator’s voice is perfect for the that sitting around a camp fire telling tails kind of feeling when he gets started. He makes you feel like you are family and sitting down with him when he is telling you the tails. I, time recommended you give them a listen and get yourself hooked to the tails of the Walker family and the likes, I promise you will not be disappointed.

9. Been looking for something like this! - I fell in love with Appalachian ‘granny magic’ the first time I saw Florence Schauffler as Haggis in ‘Pumpkinhead.’ Since then, I’ve devoured Card’s ‘Seventh Son’ series and am working my way through ‘Outsiders.’ Keep up the great storytelling!
2022-10-09
10. Best fiction podcast out there - I absolutely love Old Gods, since episode one. The actors, the writers, the storylines the characters are all exceptional. The Railroad Man being a particular favorite…so creepy and wonderful. And I never skip through either intro songs or the outro song, which I can not say is true for most other podcasts to which I subscribe. But if y’all do anything bad to Melvin Blevins, this Ozarks girl may pick a fight with Appalachia. Love you, family.

11. Almost there - I love this podcast but the volume fluctuations need to be addressed. The beginning g asking for donations is nice and loud but then when the story starts, I have to turn my volume almost all the way up due to how low it is and Heaven help you if the narrator is speaking low because it’s bout dang near impossible to hear. Love the show. Please address the volume.

1. This might be what you are looking for - An earnest, well curated and acted scary/weird/gonzo story podcast that has outgrown its “creepypasta” into a mature. fiction showcase. A variety of stories styles that are more hit than miss, and rarely pretentious even when occasionally overly ambitious. I still feel grateful I found this show on a cold dark lonely night years ago. It is a good listen by the fire. The host/creator is very likable.

2. Ugh… skipping any Cole Burkhardt narrations now - I tried. I really tried but I just cannot listen to her anymore. I hate missing out on stories especially if it’s really good, but that should tell you what I’m willing to sacrifice to not listen to her voice anymore. Just cannot tolerate it further!
2023-02-09
3. Fun podcast! - Really enjoying the pod, just one suggestion: it would really be helpful to the listener to put some sort of sound effect or music at the end of the story / beginning of the ad break. From our perspective we don’t know when the story ends, and especially in this genre a lot of stories have abrupt or mysterious “….” Type endings and it’s definitely not obvious when it’s over, especially since the ads have such a conversational tone. The first few episodes I listened to I had to go back and try to figure out what happened. Really enjoying listening, thanks for making it! :)
2023-02-09
4. The original narrator is the best one.. - Leave politics out of this. I keep wanting to be a patreon but then a story has an ACAB agenda, or racism and prejudice against white people. Some stories are really good, but some fall short. Also, I don’t care about the alien stuff. I’m here for the ghosts. Please listen to your reviews. You have great potential, I don’t even mind the ads. This “not so hidden” agenda and pandering is tiring.
2022-10-27
5. Creepy L - The Gas Stations tales are by far the best stories I've ever heard! I recommend Creepy to all my friends and send them episodes on a weekly basis. They have a wide selection of different types of horror that will put you on the edge of your seat every time! I have been listening for almost years now and I have not been let down yet! Although this days of horror I wanted to hear a tale from Old Man Henry or the guys at the gas station.
2022-10-26
6. Good show but day is horrible - Overall I enjoy this show but Day ’s story (“My house told me…”) is unnecessarily derogatory towards women. There was nothing in the story to indicate why the character would take such a demeaning tone and it did nothing to drive the plot. I kept listening and thinking that some explanation would develop, but was disappointed that this would go through all levels of review that happens in planning and production and no one would flag it for editing.
2022-10-15
7. By all means listen - The attempt of word combinations and voice overs, the intent behind storytelling is to engulf the listener and what they have done here is superb in measure. It has caught my attention by miles. I absolutely love this podcast, and listen to this whenever the day has me down. And it always brings me up. I even listen to THE DARK SOMNIUM. On my off times. It’s absolutely awesome they do this. Love y’all scary stories.
2022-09-28
8. Good - This podcast is only as good as the creepy pastas they choose. Sometimes they’re really poorly written, sometimes they just have a few instances of poor vocabulary. Narration/reading is pretty good besides the guy whose inflection is so distracting and over the top that it’s hard to pay attention to the story- I usually skip his episodes. I also wish they would quit picking stories that have villainous fat people in them or character descriptions talking about how gross being fat is. It’s , let’s move beyond demonizing an entire group of people for absolutely no reason. Very teenage-sounding writers from some of these stories but that’s how creepy pastas are sometimes. Looking forward to better picks in the future.
2022-09-06
9. Updating my review - Needed to update my review, the latest episode was aMAZEing!!!! Thank you John for all the work you put into the show. And now in SPANISH! I am a fan for life. Definitely one of the very best podcasts out there. Old review: Everything else is amazing. Truly deserving of five stars but the music just KILLS the mood. It’s not terrible, just terribly wrong for the creepy feeling I’m looking for.
2022-09-01
10. One of the best but - The “my name is garbage” had a quick bit of animal cruelty in it which wasn’t grotesque or over the top but I wish they had mentioned it in the trigger warnings. Otherwise, I’ve found them to be one of the best horror podcasts, especially of those that are considerate enough to include episode warnings. Great narrators and episode length - I will continue to listen!

11. -Stars - Tied for my favorite podcast!
The entertainment value is exquisite. I can listen to the Creepy Podcast’s mind-bending stories for hours. The stories are deliciously disturbing and the narration pulls you into new mysterious worlds. The tales are original and not a repeat like you hear on other podcasts. Highly recommended.

Starring Leslie Grace and Soni Bringas, this 10-episode supernatural thriller follows Nancy (BRINGAS), a nebbish computer scientist, who becomes obsessed with her mysterious new neighbor. It doesn’t take long for her to uncover a dark secret: the mystery woman, El (GRACE), is actually a centuries-old vampire. As Nancy becomes her familiar (basically her assistant), bringing the vampire into the social media-driven world of millennial New York City, they are both pulled down a rabbit hole of de...

1. Really enjoying this! - I was up in the air about whether this would be for me. And I’m really enjoying it. What a fresh take on a female vampire and her techie familiar. This would make such a good streaming series. Wonderful acting, writing, and sound design. Even prompted me to try out a QCode Subscription. Great job!
2023-02-28
2. sapphics? - after hearing the trailer on a different podcast I came here hoping for an exciting wlw vampire drama. so far they’re leaning toward a different direction but overall still well written. love the fiction aspect of QCODES podcasts. they’re exactly as advertised; Immersive. the sound scape they build around the story follows the plot well and it’s easy to picture everything in my head as I listen. this drama in particular would definitely appeal to anyone into vampires or true crime but be ready for some gore as the audio captures murder well. looking forward to seeing how the podcast progresses!!
2023-02-27
3. Vampires In The Dark - I love the vampire genre. (Movies, television, books, you name it. ) But this is the first time I’ve been able to close my eyes and listen to a vampire tale play out in the dark. (It’s a different than an audio book—a better experience) The story is amazing. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

1. A gem - I’ll admit the first story I heard over a year ago didn’t catch my attention and had me skip over episodes of this podcast & stick with The Deck & Crime Junkie - also by Ashley flowers. I had caught up on all of my podcasts episodes and just played one of these while cleaning / organizing so that i can keep busy ..needless to say I just kept listening back to back. I was hooked ! I washed dishes, went on a drive, walked my dog and just kept it going! Each story hooked me in differently. I love the descriptiveness, the setting of the mood with background music, tone etc. Love full body chills !!!!!!

2. Praise and Questions LOL - First, I want to say these stories are awesome! They give me FULL BODY CHILLS!!!! Keep up the great work to the production team and the story tellers, and writers and to the creators, just everyone, and the Host! Truly awesome and amazing! Have y’all thought about trying to crossover an episode or collaborate with the some at another network, Bloody Disgusting Network, SCP Archives, these stories could become something even more like a special or something just in general. Apologize for any misspellings or punctuations, not my strong suit hahahahaha. Love the podcast!!!
2023-01-27
3. So Talented - Ashley Flowers is so talented and versatile. The first podcast of hers that I’d ever listened to was Crime Junkie, which probably has the biggest true crime cult following. Then, I came across this show, and I was blown away at how effortlessly she’d transitioned into fiction. She is a natural narrator and has the ability to make anything a binge-worthy listening experience. The story quality is an added bonus! I’m always sad when I’ve run out of episodes of this podcast to listen to.

4. Literally chills! - I love love this podcast, I love Ashley ! She needs to make more! When she tells the stories I get “full body chills” and I’m always looking over my shoulder, and when headphones are on … forget it! I’m pooping my pants at that point! That’s how good this podcast is. Keep it up! I look forward to more! :)

5. Best creepy, ghost stories!! - I live for spooky season. This podcast delivers a kind of creepy that keeps you wanting more. The voice overs and sound effects are the best yet and truly enhance the story. I loved that the latest season included spooky Christmas stories!! Something to tide you over until the next spooky season…
2023-01-12
6. Five Stars - This podcast is amazing. My only complaint is I can’t get enough of it!! I wish I could listen to a new episode every week. The stories have such a fun, dark twist to them. Very enjoyable to listen to, especially with headphones. The stories keep me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what’s going to happen next! The people who are telling the stories really make you believe them. Five stars all around!

7. Good last three seasons, but... in - This year has been a let down, I did send in a story myself, but I still find this season not so scary. I want to feel chills run down my spine when I listen to scary stories. I loved the first three seasons, as they gave me CHILLS, I’m sorry to anyone who is not happy with the negative feedback. But, it is better to tell the truth with feedback and hopefully the stories are a little scarier this year, or next year. I love the hosts and I don’t want to seem like a rude, snooty person. I just was a little let down this year.

8. Christmas version…. - Nope. Couldn’t handle it. It was SO depressing. The first episode that I listened to, was I think, the last in season . It was about a little girl dying. I am a mother, of a year old girl. There should have been some form of “trigger warning” on this. I may be over reacting but this is Christmas time. A time of year that for most is very special, but for some tragic. And because it’s just a delicate time of year, I really just found season (their Christmas episodes) to be extremely heartbreaking. ESPECIALLY when a young child dies. A mothers worst nightmare. But stars to their original Halloween FBC. Big fan. Just, not around Christmas. It’s too… idk, it’s just too much.

9. Ollie and the Outcasts - I’ve fallen dreadfully behind in my podcasts. So I decided just to choose one by the title—Ollie and the Outcasts! Splendid! Ashley’s storytelling never disappoints. And, I marveled at the brilliance of the writer. When the story was over…..of course it was written by David Flowers! Thank you both again for a stunningly sumptuous tale!!!
2022-12-28
10. Child death and sex trafficking ??? - I used to love this podcast but there was something sinister about this last season. I'm all about scary stories but talking about the death of a little girl, a whole family and a child sex trafficking website?? Not for me. Those topics should not be fictionalized for pleasure, it's sad enough it happens in the real world... Do better.
2022-12-23
11. More!!! - Absolutely love the show!!!! And I am definitely digging the special season type episodes. Would like to see this done for other holiday season like thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day, and St. Patrick’s Day. We need more amazing writers out there like these guys! I would love to see these stories adapted into a show on a streaming service someday

1. An Absolute Gem - If you love a well written horror audio series with a cast that not only shines but draws you in like a Stephen King novel and leaves you wanting more at the end of each episode then look no further! Series creator KC Wayland has expanded the storyline of We’re Alive by releasing a fantastic array of side stories over the years that have not only enhanced the overall story but drew many more fans into the fold. The latest storyline,”Descendants” has brought back the extended seasons similar to the original “We’re Alive” story which started back in . I cannot express enough the absolute joy this series has brought me and many of my friends over the years. This series is so well done that one could easily see it playing out as a live action televised series at some point. Better yet as an animated version which might work as well because they could use the original voice actors making it the same gem that the audio series has been. One can only hope! if you’ve seen any of the stories online and still haven’t listened to the series you simply must do so because you are missing out so start from the beginning and get listening you’ll be glad you did!!

2. My Favorite Show - I’ve been listing to this sense and just recently got back into it. I love every aspect of it and think it’s really well put together. I usually listen to scary story type things, but this tops everything I’ve ever found. This is by far my favorite show and any podcast platform. Highly recommend for fans of horror and drama alike.

3. We’re Alive - I can’t believe how much I absolutely love this whole entire series!! I listened to the entire show in a few weeks and now I have to wait until Feb for the next episode!! One day before my birthday actually! lol. I’m a huge fan and have become so in love and attached to the characters in this show. Hands down the best podcast I’ve ever listened to!! I can’t wait for more!! You won’t be disappointed!! Nothing else compares to this show! Much love and support! Tara K.

4. Original was great, the extra series not so much - The original we’re alive was one of the best listens ever. Lock up, and gold rush were fantastic in their own right. But decedents is lacking, feels drawn out and bland. Content just seems spread thin and lengthened to make it seem like a longer story. It doesn’t add suspense, just frustration.
2023-01-24
5. It just keeps getting better! - Each time I see a new episode popping up in my library my heart flutters. I have listened to many audio dramas and this one immerses you in their world while others you’re just an observer. The diversity in cast and sound makes this series the best around. Thank you for entertaining me for years now. I hope they know their work is truly appreciated!

6. Would be better if it stopped fridging it’s female characters - Alright let me preface by saying I love this podcast, The story and setting are phenomenal, and it’s characters feel real and fully actualized. Except when it comes to a lot of its female characters, who are frequently sidelined into being girlfriends or just end up dead for plot related reasons in ways that wouldn’t happen to the male cast. Spoilers past this point: Burt gets to survive falling off a building
Saul gets to survive being shot and potentially turning
And Angel also gets to survive fall of a building, even if that ends up being only temporary. Meanwhile
Anita only exists to be Puck’s girlfriend and Rhonda’s sister. She is killed by falling off a bridge
Lizzie dies in childbirth
Samantha gets chosen instead of Kehlana to die in the Arena.
Hannah, Kehlani’s daughter, literally only exists to give him a sad backstory so when she’s killed off he gets to die a heroic death. The guys get respect in their injuries and deaths. There’s a weight to it. Meanwhile when the ladies die it’s only to further the plot or make one of them men sad. The only time this happens in reverse is when Angel dies and Riley gets to avenge him. Take for instance in Decendents: people enter the games,
Alex, Nic, Vera, Lisa, Dot, and Vincent.
Only person dies. Lisa. Who is the main character, Nic’s, girlfriend. This was such an obvious conclusion to the games that there didn’t feel like much of a stake to the rest of it because they were never gonna kill off any of the men, Dot is the mysterious new potential girlfriend for Alex, and Vera is CJ’s daughter, plus she needs to survive to be Nic’s girlfriend in the future Yes this is a series where anyone can die at any time and the new world isn’t fair to anyone. But it sure does seem to be a lot fairer for some more than others. It just hurts to keep meeting these otherwise amazing ladies only for them to keep dropping like flies so that one of the guys can be sad for a bit.

7. Best podcast to start listening to podcasts - My brother showed me this podcast early December, and I have blown through this since! Finally on Descendants, but wow is this just a roller coaster ride of emotions fantasy, thrilling ideas, everything under the sun you would want in a story. The mystery and suspense in every episode is mind boggling! Trying two piece it all together while you hear everybody else’s pieces in the story was fun when you had those lightbulb moments and put two and two together. listening to something in the later seasons realizing they set it up in the early ones are insanely cool, I love it when people are passionate about their craft and think their story all the way through even before they start it. I’m already all caught up and just waiting for more! The comedy, the worry, The immersion into their world they’ve created is unreal. You have to listen to this! and to the creators if you read this, I am so happy you guys care so much because I absolutely want more! (And more Puck cause he’s my favorite!)

8. This is by far the BEST podcast ever made - I listened to this every night and finished in a month of two and I was soooooo sad at the end when it was over, especially were alive a story of survival the overall backstory the character development and the relationships makes you feel like your a part of the story and that’s something not a lot of podcasts do. I loved it and so sad that we’re alive a story of survival is done with sal and Michael, Lizzie, Bert, etc. Definitely / podcast, best podcast I have EVER listened to.

9. It’s…fine. If you’re a dude. - I love narrative podcasts and sci-fi and dystopian stories, especially. I’m generally pretty patient with shorter episodes or clunky initial scripts. I wanted to enjoy this story. But the gender-normatively focus and male “gaze” of this podcast was too much. It started to feel like those articles “Men writing women badly.” There is a lot of talk about how the women look, which man is attracted to them, and them doing very little but impress men. The men are “manly” and the women to be looked upon and make house. Which is boring enough when there is a screen to watch. This is obviously a story made purely for men and a certain kind of man. episodes in and I had had enough.

10. Amazing - By far the best podcast I have ever come across. Gold rush is my favorite but they are all great!! I’m listening to descendants now and love it. My only beef is how long and inconsistent the wait between episodes is, makes it hard to follow. The episodes also jump around a lot to the different characters so could take - weeks to get closure on a cliff hanger. Also feels like there’s at least a few “filler” episodes so far where nothing really happens.

11. One of the greatest shows I have found - I love audio drama in the last years I have found a lot of good ones but I found this one weeks ago and I just can’t stop listening and the production the action and the store have all been amazing just amazing I have truly been blown away I listen all day at work on my mins drive to work and back home and it is my new favorite

2. Awesome podcast - I looove this podcast it’s awesome I listen to this when ever I get the chance and I’m totally buying that sweatshirt that says owned by Whittier or the I am flash card or both .I love the crazy turn over when they found out what holiday is I’m doing doing spoilers but it’s pretty crazy. I also had like a frickin heart attack when I found out you guys sold six minutes stuff like I literally died! I’m trying to get enough money to buy it. I found this podcast at school when my teacher played it and now I can’t stop listening to it like I listen to it everyday and I could literally be birdie in season I know all of her lines! I love herminie it’s so cool that there’s a robot in the family. Also when Cyrus got to the island when he got kidnapped like in episodes I was like wait when did Cyrus get here? then I had to re-Lisen to them. The cloud is a beautiful thing . AnywaysI love this podcast. My favorite part of the podcast is when Brignligh says a “wise person once said hating yourself for what you aren’t and start focusing on what you are. I are so many things.” Anyways peace, love and, oboes. Ps. Cam is my favorite character of all time I love her. update I got the owned by Whittier sweatshirt and I’m obsessed I wear it at school and no one knows what it is so it’s awesome my still trying to convince my E.L.A teacher to listen to it. But still cam is my all time FAVORITE character I don’t know why but when she gives her her cortex is so nice of her . Love your work! also people complain about the ads I’ve gotten so used to the ads I can say each and every line so I don’t mind the ads. They let me learn what just happened so ya. Also that ad that Jess . does for Cupid and the reaper she says “maybe listen to it with someone special” and it’s like “OH ya I COULd do that” but then I remember I have no one . Ps I listen to this with my sister but she gets too crazy and someone cough cough me gets hurt. Spot the difference Easy: Normal: Kinda hard: Impossible: Love the work Keep it up

6. To Mad Sister - It’s fine if u don’t get the show, but it’s not bad that your sister loves it. And besides, that’s not really a reason to make a bad review. And honestly I don’t really know if anyone is going to do anything about it or care, so writing a mad review may not be the bast idea. Talk About It With Ur Sister And if that doesn’t work Well Your on your own . :)
