1. IT’s like listening to a GREAT MOVIE ! - What a FABULOUS Cast! As a bonafide Podcast Junkie, I can say that the first Episodes were AMAZING ! These Fiction Podcasts are my fave. It’s like listening to a GREAT Movie. Use Headphones if you can. Extra Fun to listen to as I live in “The Bridgewater Triangle”!!!! I’m looking forward to the next few Friday’s for the rest. UDATE: LOVED Jeremy & Ann ! GREAT CHARACTERS. Once AGAIN, Aaron has another hit podcast & Misha Collins was fabulous.

2. Worth Your Time - Horror fans know the struggle- the genre is a hit or miss in any format, but especially radio, where a tight script and good editing are all a story has to deliver scares and the desired spooky ambience. But this show delivers every time, with eerie suspense, delicious drama and plenty of laughs. Don’t miss out. It’s well written and it’s twists pack a punch, but above all else Bridgewater is so much fun to listen to. It deserves an outpouring of love from the internet horror community. Merch, please!

3. Misha Collins is so good in this! - This is the first fictional audio play type podcast I’ve ever listened to so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But I was impressed! Misha’s voice and talent is a perfect addition to an already intriguing story. The addition of Alan Tudyk and Tricia Helfer in season has been a fun listen as well!

4. Amazing! - This is the first dramatic podcast I’ve ever listened to for more than one episode. The story immediately drew me in and I wanted to know more. The acting is brilliant, the voices give such a depth to the story creating an auditory picture. The cast is so strong from the leads of Misha Collins, Alan Tudyk, Hilarie Burton Morgan and Wil Wheaton to the additional voice characters it is award quality acting. As much as I want the answer to the Bridgewater mystery I don't want the series to end.

5. What the “F”? - Great series, but seriously, are all the f-bombs really necessary? Expletives are fine to season the narrative, but come on, this shouldn’t be the Wolf of Wall Street. You guys are better writers than this. I would love to be able to recommend this series to others, but you’ve given me too many effin reasons to not do that.
2023-02-27
6. Love this show! - I'm always looking for something new to listen to and I sometimes get tired of the traditional podcasts. Bridgewater is a great show to listen to - I just wish there was more of it!!! The characters are great and the actors who play them are fantastic. I've been hunting around trying to find something similar to listen to while waiting for the next episode but haven't yet. I recommend this to everyone!!!
2023-02-27
7. Incredible acting! - I have never listened to a fiction podcast but decided to give it a try because it featured Misha Collins and was created by Aaron Mahnke. I was hooked after the first episode and binged the rest of the series! The acting is amazing and I can see the story being played out in my head. I can’t wait for more!
2023-02-12
8. The Best!! - This will hook you and will not let go! When you’re not listening, you’re thinking about it, and when you’re done binging you’ll go through withdrawal and pine for the rd season!! SO well written!! Wonderfully performed!! If there are Oscars for podcasts, this should be the top nominee!! I love this podcast!!

1. Constant Yelling - I have finished the first episodes of season , and to be honest, I don’t know if I can keep going. I always try to give a podcast a chance, unless it’s absolutely horrible, but this one is bordering on it. The cast seems like they need to have constant conflict and fighting with each other in order to move the plot along. Some of the dialog seems childish and the story development so far, seems weak. Example: a cell phone missing so there’s an assumption among the lead characters that ) the cell isn’t important so let it go ) the cell got taken by a dove, yes a dove ) the cell was taken by a ghost. This causes a lot of yelling between the characters and it just goes on and on for an unnecessary amount of time.

2. Very solid - Another podcast that thinks all its listeners are from LA so they talk about pronouns and being non binary way too much, but glad I stuck it out cuz it’s getting good! Lily’s character can be quite annoying, Altho I think that’s the point. Also so so so odd to talk about working on occupied land. Maybe the most bizarre stuff I’ve ever heard on a podcast. Update-of course Abby is now trans instead of non-binary

3. Love this podcast but… - I absolutely love this podcast. I feel like I’m a part of this little family every time I listen and I’m stoked for season . I’m gonna be completely honest though Abby as a character has zero redeeming qualities and I find that I roll my eyes every time they speak. They are rude to everyone and truly are such a bummer to the story. I really think there needs to be some sort of revision on how they respond and their dialogue with others. At this point they aren’t adding anything to the story for me and are almost ruining some parts of the story. Everything else is just perfect. The story is riveting and has my attention the entire time. Always. Keep up the good work!

4. My favorite podcast - I’ve listened to quite a few podcasts- drama, sci-fi, fantasy, etc. This is my favorite. The characters are lovable, the acting is head and shoulders above most, and THERE ABSOLUTELY IS A MYSTERY. And a good one! There is a one character w/ they/them pronouns, and one or two gay couples in this whole town? I don’t think that qualifies as “woke” lol. It is a slow burn, but if you like ghost stories, powerful female leads, supernatural elements and/ or mysteries… you’ll like it. By ep things pick up!

5. Exactly what i have been looking for - This podcast is great! It is a great story that keeps me involved. It is produced well. The characters are developed well and have good depth. This is what I have been looking for in a modern fictional podcast. It is reminiscent of classic radio shows but is modern enough to make it interesting. Everyone doing this is doing a great job!!
2023-02-11
6. Super cool! - I’ve been listening to this podcast since season two came out and have followed it ever since! I love the way suspense has been building through out each season and just know the ending will be jaw dropping. The characters are awesome with complex backgrounds and personalities. It’s very easy to love, hate, and relate to any of them! I have never listened to or read a story like this before. It takes a unique approach to the gothic genre. Definitely worth the listen!

7. Cute but, drowning in virtue signaling - I wanted to love this plot, but the political/ideological insertions are a bit overdone. If you can ignore that, some endearing characters and very well paced. Great audio production. However really, the Abbie character is dreadful. Made it to season , not sure I will finish.
2022-09-30
8. A quirky good time - When I first started listening I was skeptical but needed a new scripted, fiction pod and this one really grew on me. A lot of the fiction shows have mediocre to bad actors but not Unwell. Truly solid acting, a unique premise, folksy, funny, and at times a touch spooky. Now, for me, the writing went a little off the rails in season three and some episodes were disjointed but it tightened back up for season four. I’m a fan.

1. Disappointing - Interesting premise and a promising world ruined by how dull and flat the characters are, particularly Sal (who is the introductory character and audience surrogate of newcomer having everything explained to them). Anything that’s engaging is so despite them, but eventually it just becomes unbearably tedious.
2023-03-23
2. All over the map in record time. - In about minutes I am done. People I don’t know, have no relatioship to explode into unexplained action and I don’t care. It’s not a drama, but is read by one person. Sort of like being blasted with random people and actions. Introduce people. Who they are what they do and think. In minutes I have met as many people and have the front door blown in and wake up in the hospital.
2023-03-22
3. One-voice narration? - I’m minutes in, and am already disappointed. The voice actor is fine, but that noun should be plural. It’s disappointing that Realm didn’t get multiple actors for multiple characters, as they do for other podcasts; otherwise this is an audiobook. Also, it’s heavily influenced/almost like the graphic novel, “Black Magick” by Greg Rucka and Nicola Scott.
2023-03-20
4. Eyes rolling - Can’t handle how they finish every single sentence with he said, she said, sal said, menchu said, apple said banana said. Ugh. If your going to change your voice for each character, you really don’t need to end every word sentence with “said”. I had to stop at the end of the third episode.
2023-03-14
5. Wrong Format, Good Story - Just like movies get adapted from books, the producers failed to do that for podcast format. This is an audiobook, leave it at that. If you are moving it to podcast format then you should have hired voice talent to adapt from the audiobook. This is just someone reading a book to you. Disappointing because as a podcast it could have been so cool!
2023-02-24
6. Bookburners - Ok so..Bookburners review..here goes. Bookburners is not an audio drama. I mention this only to inform curious future listeners. My rating has nothing to do with that. I have no problem with audio books which is what this is. I like audiobooks a lot actually. My issue with Bookburners is that the story ends up being so dull. It’s a shame because the story does have potential but the characters in Bookburners are without question one hundred percent DULL!! Flat, lame..just bleh. I space out constantly while listening to Bookburners getting pulled back into the story ever ONCE IN A WHILE when they start doing something interesting. And I’m sorry maybe it’s just me but every single demon they fight feels just like the last one. Yawn. Really though it’s the characters in this story that make it all so boring. It IS great for putting me to sleep tho! I value that.

1. Okay - An okay but slightly confusing plot. It kept me interested enough to listen to the end. The performances were adequate and not distracting. I also appreciated the quality of the production value. However, I found the majority of the main characters to be generally unlikeable. The students and the twin sister were overall selfish, disrespectful, naïve, and recklessly foolish, to the point that, in the end, (spoiler alert) I did not care that none of them made it out of the pyramid. I liked that the twin brother made it out, as he was the only one who was the least bit kind or with any kind sense. Overall I felt a little let down, as there weren’t any characters I felt compelled to root for. Most were typical irreverent, arrogant college students.
2023-03-17
2. Black Egyptians - I really like this story the actors were really good and the production was solid. I just find it fascinating that everyone that tells the stories of the Egyptians are like Arabic or Middle Eastern when the Egyptian’s were“black“ even though they did not view themselves as black they were what we were called today “Black people.” Folks forget that Egypt is in Africa, the people you see there now are migrants, who eventually moved overtime.

3. Sure gnore the red flags - To story writers: Over curious, naive nerd, inebriated idiot, clueless bimbo, a tag along, and a scaredy ca no one listens to. Every point for creativity. Did she just say, “I’m sure the light will work better once we are inside the pitch black tomb.” Hey and maybe water gets easier to breath the deeper you dive. What, will the couple split off to make-out and then the others split-up to search for their obviously dead body parts because you know, then they’ll get some great pictures of the killer. Or will they dare each other to offer their blood to summon a murderous ancient ghoul to see if it’s real or not. Predictable, predictable. Can we not rely on outright stupid characters who are then surprised when something bad happens to them so plot twist are possible. I hope this gets better because I like it’s premise. It’s just we live in a culture that has a term called red flags meaning: clues and signs of something being wrong with a situation; back out while your ahead. So for me this doesn’t entice my suspension of disbelief, the way they make so many of the lamest excuses to get themselves arrested in a conservative county.

1. Good, Not Great - The stories are mostly decent and sometimes have good twists, and the narration is serviceable without being hokey or cheesy. However, much like with the actual Creepypasta repository of written stories, the quality of the writing often leaves much to be desired. It’s painfully obvious that the stories featured both on Creepypasta and on this podcast are typically first drafts posted by amateur authors who never bothered to go back and tighten things up or let an editor look them over. Which is fine, I get that this is a free podcast and I’m not expecting Stephen King levels of quality, but it can be distracting when all I wanna do is kick back and become immersed in some spooky atmosphere. Still, if you enjoy Creepypasta, I’m sure you’ll also enjoy this podcast. Just set your expectations accordingly.

2. Love the podcast, be weary of other podcast recommendations - Podcast is great, but I’ve tuned i t a couple podcast he has recommended.. and one recommendation almost made me want to stop listening to this podcast.. He recommended a “true crime” podcast called heads of Sierra Blanca.. he even stated it was true crime… but it was all entirely fiction.. and I’m not a fan of being lied to, and the fact he promoted it as true crime really irked me.. Won’t be following any more of his recommendations afterwards that

3. I can’t stop listening! - I literally listen to this podcast daily, at work… in the car, at home, in bed as I’m falling asleep. The variety of stories and voice actors is absolutely phenomenal. Not to mention there are HUNDREDS OF STORIES!! I have binged all my other favorites like Dr. No Sleep and Something Scary, but when I started on Creepy almost a year ago and like I said I listen daily… I’m still not even close to being finished! This gives me something to look forward to and relax to. Thank you to everyone at Creepy for making such an awesome show, stay golden!

4. My Favorite Podcast - I listen to this while I work, clean, draw, fall asleep, etc. I cannot emphasize how much I love this podcast enough! I do want to recommend the story Homicidal Liu by Vampire on Deviant Art, it’s a really good story and I think I’d be really cool hearing you guys read it. Once again tho, best podcast ever:)

5. This might be what you are looking for - An earnest, well curated and acted scary/weird/gonzo story podcast that has outgrown its “creepypasta” into a mature. fiction showcase. A variety of stories styles that are more hit than miss, and rarely pretentious even when occasionally overly ambitious. I still feel grateful I found this show on a cold dark lonely night years ago. It is a good listen by the fire. The host/creator is very likable.
2023-02-09
6. Ugh… skipping any Cole Burkhardt narrations now - I tried. I really tried but I just cannot listen to her anymore. I hate missing out on stories especially if it’s really good, but that should tell you what I’m willing to sacrifice to not listen to her voice anymore. Just cannot tolerate it further!
2023-02-09
7. Fun podcast! - Really enjoying the pod, just one suggestion: it would really be helpful to the listener to put some sort of sound effect or music at the end of the story / beginning of the ad break. From our perspective we don’t know when the story ends, and especially in this genre a lot of stories have abrupt or mysterious “….” Type endings and it’s definitely not obvious when it’s over, especially since the ads have such a conversational tone. The first few episodes I listened to I had to go back and try to figure out what happened. Really enjoying listening, thanks for making it! :)
2023-02-09
8. The original narrator is the best one.. - Leave politics out of this. I keep wanting to be a patreon but then a story has an ACAB agenda, or racism and prejudice against white people. Some stories are really good, but some fall short. Also, I don’t care about the alien stuff. I’m here for the ghosts. Please listen to your reviews. You have great potential, I don’t even mind the ads. This “not so hidden” agenda and pandering is tiring.

1. Not perfect. - So, I didn’t know what to do, give it the star I wanted to give and have it never seen. Or give it and have issues never addressed. Never mind all that, regardless of how I feel about this hollow story or how annoying the character Nick is. My biggest gripe is the inconsistency of the release dates. The last episode said we’d be getting a new episode “next week”. The release schedule is always a mess.
2023-03-20
2. More diverse voice actors please. - I like the show so far, only on season but I just realized that Saul is supposed to be African American. Now I can barely listen to this white voice actor try to sound stereotypically black. I’m sure that you can find black voice actors. Tanya too, can tell they’re white actors trying to sound black. Tanya’s accent is good but Saul is just cringy.

3. An Absolute Gem - If you love a well written horror audio series with a cast that not only shines but draws you in like a Stephen King novel and leaves you wanting more at the end of each episode then look no further! Series creator KC Wayland has expanded the storyline of We’re Alive by releasing a fantastic array of side stories over the years that have not only enhanced the overall story but drew many more fans into the fold. The latest storyline,”Descendants” has brought back the extended seasons similar to the original “We’re Alive” story which started back in . I cannot express enough the absolute joy this series has brought me and many of my friends over the years. This series is so well done that one could easily see it playing out as a live action televised series at some point. Better yet as an animated version which might work as well because they could use the original voice actors making it the same gem that the audio series has been. One can only hope! if you’ve seen any of the stories online and still haven’t listened to the series you simply must do so because you are missing out so start from the beginning and get listening you’ll be glad you did!!

4. My Favorite Show - I’ve been listing to this sense and just recently got back into it. I love every aspect of it and think it’s really well put together. I usually listen to scary story type things, but this tops everything I’ve ever found. This is by far my favorite show and any podcast platform. Highly recommend for fans of horror and drama alike.

5. We’re Alive - I can’t believe how much I absolutely love this whole entire series!! I listened to the entire show in a few weeks and now I have to wait until Feb for the next episode!! One day before my birthday actually! lol. I’m a huge fan and have become so in love and attached to the characters in this show. Hands down the best podcast I’ve ever listened to!! I can’t wait for more!! You won’t be disappointed!! Nothing else compares to this show! Much love and support! Tara K.

6. Original was great, the extra series not so much - The original we’re alive was one of the best listens ever. Lock up, and gold rush were fantastic in their own right. But decedents is lacking, feels drawn out and bland. Content just seems spread thin and lengthened to make it seem like a longer story. It doesn’t add suspense, just frustration.
2023-01-24
7. It just keeps getting better! - Each time I see a new episode popping up in my library my heart flutters. I have listened to many audio dramas and this one immerses you in their world while others you’re just an observer. The diversity in cast and sound makes this series the best around. Thank you for entertaining me for years now. I hope they know their work is truly appreciated!
2023-01-24
8. Would be better if it stopped fridging it’s female characters - Alright let me preface by saying I love this podcast, The story and setting are phenomenal, and it’s characters feel real and fully actualized. Except when it comes to a lot of its female characters, who are frequently sidelined into being girlfriends or just end up dead for plot related reasons in ways that wouldn’t happen to the male cast. Spoilers past this point: Burt gets to survive falling off a building
Saul gets to survive being shot and potentially turning
And Angel also gets to survive fall of a building, even if that ends up being only temporary. Meanwhile
Anita only exists to be Puck’s girlfriend and Rhonda’s sister. She is killed by falling off a bridge
Lizzie dies in childbirth
Samantha gets chosen instead of Kehlana to die in the Arena.
Hannah, Kehlani’s daughter, literally only exists to give him a sad backstory so when she’s killed off he gets to die a heroic death. The guys get respect in their injuries and deaths. There’s a weight to it. Meanwhile when the ladies die it’s only to further the plot or make one of them men sad. The only time this happens in reverse is when Angel dies and Riley gets to avenge him. Take for instance in Decendents: people enter the games,
Alex, Nic, Vera, Lisa, Dot, and Vincent.
Only person dies. Lisa. Who is the main character, Nic’s, girlfriend. This was such an obvious conclusion to the games that there didn’t feel like much of a stake to the rest of it because they were never gonna kill off any of the men, Dot is the mysterious new potential girlfriend for Alex, and Vera is CJ’s daughter, plus she needs to survive to be Nic’s girlfriend in the future Yes this is a series where anyone can die at any time and the new world isn’t fair to anyone. But it sure does seem to be a lot fairer for some more than others. It just hurts to keep meeting these otherwise amazing ladies only for them to keep dropping like flies so that one of the guys can be sad for a bit.

1. What a find! - I love my podcasts and hearing stories read - when I just want to listen to a good read (and I don’t have the book on hand). This was a great find! I’m so excited to hear the repertoire of books read by Phoebe. Update /: What a story “The Woman in White” is when I listened to it on this podcast! It was such a treasure to listen to from beginning to end the way Phoebe reads it. I found myself doing a lot of playbacks. Seriously, what a book and what a reader! Update /: I just listened to Jane Eyre and fell in love with that story because of Phoebe’s reading. I don’t recall liking it when I read it in hs or college. Miss you Phoebe!!

2. Love this, but … - Phoebe, your voice is wonderful and you read beautifully, but you might want to check on how some foreign words are pronounced. Monsieur is pronounced ‘mehs-siur’, not ‘mone-siur’. Victoir is pronounced ‘Vic-twa ’ not ‘Vic-tor’. It was really distracting. I follow your other podcasts and notice this in other places as well. When in doubt, check it out. Otherwise, good research. Great podcasts.

3. Just what I needed during these trying times! - I came to these from your podcast Criminal and immediately realized I needed these. They were such a respite from all the true crime I was listening to. Halfway through the first book I realized Oh! I’m finally “reading” a book from the list of Books you should read before you die (or some such name). Then the second book which was also on the list! OK I admit I read many of these as a child but didn’t remember them correctly. Others I’m enjoying revisiting and some! I never read. I love your voice and rhythm. If you weren’t intentionally reading books from this list it’s so great that you’re getting through them. I understand you will be taking a break which already makes me miss you even though I have more books!

4. Phoebe is an American Treasure - Oh Phoebe, I don’t know what I will do without you. You reading to me at night has been the one consistent and calming joy, for two years now. You have turned many of us into children who now require a bedtime story. I thank you for your dedication and for sharing your gift. My hope is you find your way back to us.
2022-07-15
5. Exquisite: I’m addicted for lessening my Anxiety - For many reasons, my attention to Phoebe’s voice: cadence, pronunciation, diction, and emotional undertones, makes me relaxed. Sometimes I listen to chapters twice. So far Dracula and Jane Eyre are my favorites. I do fall asleep, for which I am eternally grateful.
2022-07-10
6. Thank you! (How kind!) - Thank you, Phoebe! I’d gotten behind so I only just today heard your message that you’re leaving off reading for a while. So I’m updating my original review from the very first day of the Mysterious Affair at Styles. Though it was your first audiobook, you read it courageously I must say. And you improved greatly over time. And I loved that Agatha Christie book, one I hadn’t read, so much, that I went out in search of as many Agatha Christie audiobooks as I could find! My very favorite was The Moonstone, which sent me out in search of more Wilkie Collins, an author I hadn’t heard of before. I’ll miss you, and I hope you find another book you can’t resist reading to us sooner rather than later!
Oh, Phoebe, how very kind of you! Just the thing for me to listen to as I look out at my own bird feeder.
2022-07-08
7. Mooning Over The Moonstone - I had no idea that The Moonstone was so hilarious! Phoebe’s smooth, lovely narration allows the book’s many unsuspected charms to shine through. Sending many thanks for treating us to Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and now Wilkie Collins. I can’t wait to hear what she reads next, although I don’t want this long lovely book to end. Almost post-pandemic update: Thank you for so kindly and thoughtfully bringing light and literature a span of time so many of us found a challenge to adjust to, and for introducing me to some great books I had’’t read yet.
2022-06-11
8. Thank you - I’m going to miss listening to you read! This has been my very favorite podcast from the moment you started it. Thank you for continuing as long as you did and for reading books I might have missed. Best of luck in all your endeavors. I’ll continue to follow you and hope you find another book you want to read to us. Thanks again.

1. Missing pieces - I made it to Chapter and had to stop. Throughout the season so far, it feels like there needed to have been a season before this to explain what the writers are taking for granted that the audience will infer or intuit. Certain characters are unnecessarily obstinate (the doctor, for example) just to create tension. A previous season could have laid the groundwork for why. It’s a good premise, just needs some polish.
2023-03-23
2. Good story, trope-y characters - I’m interested in what’s going on, but honestly the character dialogue and personalities just feel really stiff. It’s diverse, but awkward. Like I’m glad there’s a bilingual doctor, but they may want to take more cues from the actress in this case since sometimes the writing sounds like a Spanish class video. But I’m interested in the history they tease and I like the direction of the story. What’s the story of Abigail? How bad is this curse going to get? What are going to be the consequences of the actions of the ignorant?
2023-02-09
3. Absolute Masterpiece - Like conductors of a symphony, Tonia Ransom and Jen Zink deliver masterstrokes that vibrate with dark and frightening intensity. "AFFLICTED" is utterly gripping, unapologetically brutal and nightmarishly powerful in every conceivable way. It is a show that feels like nothing else out there today. Every episode is filled with the haunting grandeur of Lovecraftian-like cosmic horror and madness, from a certain book bound in human flesh, to its Southern folklore setting. It is that rare type of show that feels like thousands of hours were invested into each and every single minute recorded, in order to make the world feel tangible and alive, to make these characters and moments feel just the same. A show that is so brilliantly crafted that we, the audience, can't help but feel like we're there, a part of it all. From the writing, sound design, diverse cast and crew, along with the supurb acting, "AFFLICTED" is a masterpiece of horror and storytelling.

4. Bravo! - Finally a podcast that isn’t cowtowing to Realm. An independent podcast, let’s help these folks stay independent. BRAVO BRAVO, finally a well done, fantastically superbly written podcast, well done an excellent well written and great voice acting, you’ve outdone yourselfs! Well worth the kickstarter investment, to . Keep them independent, and . Out of the reach of Realm. I’ve lost $$$$ supporting loser podcasts that have promised podcasts, and disappeared, but definitely feel differently about this winner!!!!!!!

'Creepypastas' are the urban legends of the internet. A new age of horror told through digital word of mouth.

1. Woah, this is cool. - When I first started listening to podcasts, I was looking for fanfics. But then I stumbled on the world of Creepypasta and I got HOOKED. And why did I get hooked? Because of Mr. Creepstey McPasta.
Your reading of “if you see a woman drinking rainwater, Run” literally made me latch onto your creepypasta readings. I hope you make moreeee!
2022-12-02
2. Great stories, Great Narration, Questionable Person - If you can get over what he allegedly did (Look it up) the stories and narration are solid and i highly enjoy them, having said that, it did take me a while to decide i felt comfortable listening to the stories after hearing what he is accused of; and i still cringe sometimes when I put it on, But honestly if you can separate the person from the art; this is going to be some of your highest quality narration you will find. The content also comes out pretty often although i feel he’s probably burnt out and done posting for a while

3. Not as engaging as Dr. No sleep - I think I’ve finally figured out why I don’t care for this podcast. It has no engaging extras like Dr. No sleep does. Dr. No sleep puta the extra work into music and sound effects in each episode and it really engages the listener. The barebones talking in Mr. creepypasta is monotonous and doesn’t grab your attention.
2022-09-18
4. Tired of the same tone for everything - This show was one of my top ( is Mr.Creepypasta). After binging other scary podcasts and coming back to this one, I started noticing that all stories on this show are read in the exact same tone. Even if something ‘intense’ is happening, it isn’t described intensely. It’s always the same calm, relaxed, “put you to sleep” voice. The stories have potential but reading everything the same way makes them much less effective. If this pod gets some emotion and more diverse voicing, I’ll gladly come back to this.

5. Amazing - Truly fantastic they make you see things that weren’t their before in a strange way and the stories almost seem pull you to them making you want to listen over and over until you fall into a deep sleep or cuddle up in fear from your minds hallucinations, your podcast is truly an interesting one, you don’t find many that give you this feeling of calm fear, the world is a strange place that continues to get stranger and though the stories may not be true their still possible in every way as well as it doesn’t mean that creepier things haven’t happened, keep up the amazing work and continue to spread fear into the world

6. Wow - My brother started me on this podcast two years ago and I didn’t believe how good he said it was. I see now I was so most definitely wrong. This is a one in a million podcast. I’ve listened to, like, thirty different creepy pasta podcasts and can’t find one that even comes close in comparison to this one. I feel like this is a life line. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have this podcast. I have notifications on and look forward to every episode. Will rate % all the time and will always recommend.

7. Something Special - Hope you are well, Sir Jeff. Haven’t seen many uploads from you recently.
Creeps McPasta was the narrator of the very first creepypasta I ever listened to: “Pen Pals” That was probably or years ago. I have found many other narrators since then, but there is something special about Creeps McPasta. His hypnotic voice draws me in and connects with my emotions. I often find myself completely immersed while listening, and hours pass before I know it. Not only does he do high quality narrations, he is one of the most prolific content providers. Most days, he has at least one new story to listen to. Thank goodness! He is, without a doubt, one of the best narrators there is. You won’t regret giving him a listen. A lot of time and work goes into these productions, so please give him your support! I can only imagine the effort involved with creating so much content and getting it uploaded to YouTube and podcasts and everywhere else. Take the time to give him a rating or comment so he has some feedback. I think he and others who do this sort of work are very under appreciated.

8. GREAT YOUTUBE TO PODCAST CHANNEL - I started listening when I was in middle & High-school. I dropped off of listening to creepy pastas for about years after High-school, and once I got my newest job where I work alone I started up listening again my nostalgia kicked in when I heard this man’s voice, I’ve tried many other creepy readers and I can genuinely say after years of listening, this man has the best voice, clarity, captivation of any creepy reader. I just wish he would upload longer episodes, and more often! I can’t get enough, soon enough.

1. Season review - Listened to The Dark Tome before when it was its own separate podcast. It has been a while so I started a replay. The character of Mr Gussy is so very hard to listen to. It’s the accent and I tend to zone out and not pay attention to him so I can get through the episodes. Cassie is a much better character and the short stories are amazing.
2023-01-23
2. Good Story Turns PC - Story has been great so far and the local lore is interesting. The background and character development is pretty good too. Wish I could leave a higher review with how good the story is, but I can’t in good conscience. My thoughts were confirmed on episode when it is announced that KT is not a woman or a man - apparently… I’ll leave it at that. Also, the adds for Realm during season promote a new SJW podcast. The Becka bully is pretty superficial in development.
2023-01-11
3. Definitely worth listening to. - This is for season I wasn’t gonna write a review, but this is a v well done fiction podcast. The actors are great so idk why anyone would complain about that, and the ad’s (it’s free duh) and the weirdo complaining about it being “woke” and “anti-white” haha lololollll W(in)T(actual)F??? I didn’t pick up on either of those two things at all ever, but ok. I agree w the person who said they should “wake up and get a life” Anyway generally a well written well done podcast such as this has a ton more good reviews so I felt like I needed to throw my opinion out there. I read reviews before I commit the time to commit and there are some god awful ones out there w hundred of glowing reviews. So if you are one of the picky listeners out there who really enjoy full cast, well produced, podcasts w GREAT actors who have character depth and an intriguing story. This one is well worth listening to (better than the first season imo which I tried to finish several times but couldn’t stand those actors)
2022-12-20
4. Well done - I’ve listened to more fiction podcasts than I can count, but have never written a review. I feel this one deserves it. The writing is excellent, the characters are varied and engaging, and the sound editing is excellent. No podcast is perfect nor meant for everyone, but I found this to be interesting and a fun break from reality.
2022-12-16
5. Fun, but characters are kinda dumb - I really wish Realm would write characters that could figure things out that the audience thought were obvious episodes ago. How has it not sunk in that there’s parallel universe stuff happening, and they don’t need to keep gasping in disbelief about having different memories from each other? It seems like they will never stop this cheap trope and move on with the actual story.
2022-11-23
6. It’s A Podcast. If You Don’t Enjoy It Plenty Of Others - Obviously the same person keeps writing negative reviews and trolling this podcast by using the now politically charged word “woke”. If you don’t like it move on. People can decide for themselves if they like it without someone writing constantly about it being too woke. Maybe you need to wake up and get a life.
2022-10-16
7. Quit with the woke crap! Done with these abortion lies. - Tell a story without pushing the abortion crap. Can’t believe people aren’t intelligent enough to research the REAL truth. Anyone that wants an abortion can still get it, but I guess they really want to be able to kill babies at even - months, including after the birth. Isn’t that murder?
2022-07-17
8. Awesome - I listened to this podcast in a day. It had me hooked the whole way through. After reading some of the reviews left by the fragile white male snowflakes out there I knew I had to check it out. Having a female of color in a podcast makes them lose what’s left of their tiny minds. Do yourself a favor and listen to something u like anything out there.

This is the best of the best!!

1. WHERE IS JASON?? - IMO, ever since Jason left, the stories are not nearly as scary…I remember first finding this and literally being too scared to sleep or having nightmares…& now I can barely make it through most. The narrator isn’t bad, good voice, etc but the content has really gone down hill. Also, I don’t understand how they can just never really explain if Jason Hill, the original narrator and creator, is ever actually returning? If this is to continue, I think we should get answers and please up the horror level again.
2023-03-01
2. Are you there, Jason? It’s me, DJ - I started listening to this podcast fairly recently, right when Erik began to sub for Jason at times. Nothing against the current host but where has Jason gone? I have now begun to listen to the podcast from the very beginning and that’s offering some satisfaction…

3. Good enough for the girls I go with… - Just discovered this podcast and instantly binged all night. I especially liked the parter It Came From The Pines! Good stuff. There’s some really harsh reviews by some folks here that I consider totally unfair. Come on folks, it’s free with advertising! How you can possibly complain so much is just plain baffling. Only a stooge bucket would do that. Good scary stories and the narrator is a skilled professional. Thank you for your hard work! .

4. Good Morning Sodemites?? - This is one of your sponsees ? Are you actually trying to alienate % of your audience? Seriously, if this Advertisement keeps playing I’ll assume that you would prefer I (we) don’t listen…. PS it’s just wrong to encourage a seriously mentally Ill person to embrace their delusions. It’s just plain cruel. The Darkness Scratched at the door and you invited it in….. :(

5. I've rewritten this three times and I keep hitting the wrong button!! Horror within itself - Briefly, again- Mr. Hill you're an extremely talented author your writing is deep. A little to deep and real for me right now. Horror is a state I go to when I want to be intrigued by a dark idea. One I can use my own imagination and add or subtract my own plot lines. Horror stories or films in some cases are my most intense coping skill. This story, JP and his pain, anguish -and desperation is just too real for me. Me. Hill, my empathy goes out you. We as authors put some piece of ourselves in every story; even if we don't realize it. I hope the feeling of this character are not yours or anyone you know. For most the subject matter is fantasy, is fictional horror. Others though, not necessarily the aspect of drugs, instead the inescapable feeling of depression becomes a real reality. In short, the story was well written and emotional when intended. Eric Peabody you did a great job too. I feel this should be on a more serious and emotionally based podcast. Definitely Not one of fictional horror. Just my thoughts. Thank you for sharing your talent.

6. I also miss Jason, but.. - First of all, I miss Jason Hill SO BAD!!!! I feel like I’ve lost a loved one since he’s handed the torch to Peabody. That being said …PEABODY: Pick better stories !!!! I know you are up against a crap load of fans complaining about your voice and wanting Jasón back . You two obviously are different people, I think that if you choose better scarier stories you’ll carve out a name for yourself
2022-12-06
7. I miss Jason… - It’s Horror Hill not Horror peabody! Erics voice is too annoying to narrate horror stories. He should look into teenage girl stories. Jason has the perfect deep, ominous tone to narrate Horror Stories. Plus Jason does different accents better. I listen to all the old stories with Jason when I can’t sleep only reason I have not deleted this podcast. When the narrators voice is horrible and annoying the whole story goes out the window.

8. Great horror fiction podcast - I’ll start by saying this is a great podcast! The stories are so good and the production values are overall top notch. Where I think this podcast falls short is ) the unnecessarily long segment at the beginning before the stories start and ) the jarring jump to ads that always play at a much higher volume/intensity than the stories. I would suggest a shorter introduction segment, then getting right into the stories. Maybe provide some kind of audio signifier before cutting to ads and, if possible, mix the audio so that the ads flow better, play at a less jarring intensity, etc. On a final “nitpicky” note: the narrator mispronounces words in every episode. Obviously, people from different geographic regions pronounce words differently, but that is not what I’m talking about. It is a tiny complaint, yes, but I feel that these mispronunciations take away from the professionalism.

But the crew soon discovers that there's more to the...

1. Too much jumping around - No character development. I listened to the first episode and part of the second. Everything in short blurbs then off to some other character and scene. I couldn’t get invested in the story as I didn’t really get what the story was. I am also not a fan of a lot noise in podcasts. Fine if you are at home but not when driving. Seems like a cross between audiobooks and old radio stories. A good plan. I gave up listening. I was annoyed by all the jumping around. Build the story then add.

2. Terrible - WELL QCODE WHERES SEASON TWO, OH WANT MORE MONEY TO PRODUCE NOTHING , AGAIN, TIC TOK TIC TOK!!!! This company takes your money then leaves you high and dry, never completing maNy many podcasts, just look at their list of unfinished and abandoned podcasts stories, unfinished, and you paid for nothing but broken podcast stories!
2023-02-28
3. Poorly structured drama that relies on progressive allure - I’m all for diversity, LGBTQ inclusivity, etc., but this podcast goes overboard with it in the sense that it comes off as trying too hard to include these elements in the story’s plot. I couldn’t ever get into the story because of this, not because I’m bothered by it, but because I wanted to listen to a mystery thriller… not a poorly structured drama that relies entirely on its progressive allure. The dialogue is also absolutely dizzying. I recommend listening to ‘The White Vault’, ‘The Left Right Game’, and ‘The Imperfection’ - shows that beautifully highlight inclusivity - instead of misusing it as a crutch in lieu of originality and good storytelling.
2023-01-23
4. Engaging drama with some flat points - Listened all the way to the end of season ! A bit of a triple mystery to keep one guessing. Some twists, turns and reversals as well. Leaves off on another unexplained plot point which makes me want to tune in for season . However I am not sure the series really needs another season, as it was essentially a tale of resolving one man’s grief rather than the hunt (of something mysterious), and season seems set up to be about more hunts (of more things mysterious). So I don’t know if there’s enough story for season , but season has mostly complete story arcs on its own. I do wonder if the resolution of season is that satisfying, thinking on it. I am not sure if the lessons learned were deep enough. Perhaps a bit of the resolution was sacrificed to keep a second season open. But only time will tell when season comes out. I agree with others the main character, Michela Soto, did become grating after a while. She went through tests of character, but not really to any breaking point. However the story acted like she went through development. Her tone of voice stayed pretty much the same throughout, undercutting any sense of significant change. There was moments when I probably should’ve felt connection to her, and yet I was unmoved. Anyway beyond the main character, there was some dynamic character moments that was emotionally stirring. Overall I think I can summarize “Last Known Position” as plot rich but a bit main character and main philosophy poor. If you want something akin to a page turner, this is it. If you like subplots and some engaging secondary characters, this is it.
2023-01-08
5. Men writing women characters - This main character is a great example of men writing a woman. She is completely insufferable, negative, and has main character syndrome. The writers make everyone around her bend to her negativity & wants when she really has no say on the ship. She is a resistant, know it all. Highly recommend Q get a handle on this because it’s truly painful to listen to. The overall story and plot is sooo interesting- just wish I didn’t have to torture myself through it.
2022-11-16
6. Good Podcasts Many Problems - This podcast was good from start to almost finish. The ads were annoying but I just skipped them what really takes this down from a star review is due to my experience with MANY podcasts. They always lead up from this simple problem to a huge world changing problem at the end, and then never deliver on that ending! Why lead up to a nd season of something if you’re never going to make it? Just don’t do it, actually make a satisfying ending to the story. Three stars cause writers can’t figure out how to close their stories out After reading other reviews my conclusion is they made the ending a paywall so less reviews would be bad lol
2022-10-22
7. Very good. - Setting aside the truly awful and disruptive approach to advertising that QCODE has adopted, this is a good show. Very well acted. Excellent sound production. Story is above average though not quite at the five-star level in my opinion. Definitely a worthwhile listen if you love scripted audio as much as I do. I’d say this one lands at the better end of the spectrum. Unfortunately, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to listen to QCODE shows because of the platform’s alienating ad implementation. I’m % fine with ads to the extent they are needed to support the production. I want the best content producers to succeed. Intro ads? Fine. Outro ads? Fine. A single interruption for ads in the middle of a -minute segment? Also fine. But there should never be more than ONE break per min of content. And certainly not more than minutes of ads per any one break. Anything else just totally disrupts the storyline and ruins any enjoyment the listener might be getting out the show. It’s enough of a turnoff for me that I have actually begun unsubscribing from the most ad-heavy productions altogether. (iHeart radio, I’m looking at you.) There are many equally high quality content creators out there that have figured out how to pull in sponsorship income and other funding without alienating their subscribers. Investors? Higher rates for fewer ad spots? You clearly have options. Please do some research and come up with a better plan.
2022-08-28
8. Started great - I love this show right up until the final two episodes where I wasn’t sure what was going on. When did that other guy die? What happened to the pirates? Did the feed skip an episode? Did I sneeze and miss something? When did they plan the big final shabang when there seemed to be only two people left and somehow they were steering the big ship on hairpin turns? And what the heck was that at the end?

1. Ads are far too long - I like the scary stories. They’re creative and the voice actors do a pretty good job. My complaint is the amount of ads and how they completely ruin the flow of the story. I get wanting to get paid, but at least put the ads at the beginning and end. It really messes up the flow having so many looong ads throughout a good story. I also think you need more female voice actors.
2023-01-02
2. Great podcast - This has become my favorite podcast, they have a variety of voice actors and not a lot of informal skits between stories. Most are decent stories and I rarely fast forward. The narrator is straight to the point, sometimes narrators go on and on, this one doesn’t it’s appreciated when the right amount of intro is offered and then the story begins. Love it, only downfall, Is Creepyface. His regular speaking voice is great, but he tries to speak in a lower voice than what is natural and I have to skip the episode. It sounds awful, like he needs to clear his throat. It’s even worse, I turned up the podcast because he’s speaking so low, you can’t hear him. Stop it. It’s gotten worse.

3. Pool house in weinwick - things no man has ever said;
“I’m sure he felt my tears falling gently on his hair” and the other one was something about “I can’t tell you how much I miss you Bob”…uh…..no, never. (Get grandpa to proof it for you)
pS a “ Stogie”is a cigar never a cigarette (even a lucky strike red) Great story though, way better than some. I think SAMUEL Is a good author, I’d love to hear what else she has written.
2022-10-02
4. This is the best podcast for scary tales - I love this podcast I clean houses and I play this all day when at work, honestly I love horror and I listen all year round but something about it being October makes it even more fun to listen. Thanks so much for continuing to put episodes out. There aren’t too many commercials and they have a lot of different voice actors who are all awesome and their stories range from murders to paranormal to just plain sci-fi there’s a lot of diversity on the type of scary stories. Give it a try you’ll love it.
2022-10-02
5. Obnoxious amount of ads and sponsors - The first five minutes is almost continual ads and sponsors. And again mid way through. Out of minutes it feels like of them is ads or sponsored stuff like best fiends or something else. If the stories were a little better it would be tolerable, but they’re hit and miss. Some are great; most aren’t. Voice acting is good though. Host sounds like the DJ from the movie Pontypool (which is a compliment).
2022-09-28
6. Embarrassing Amount of Ads - The stories are alright, but the unholy number of ads is ridiculous. In general, skip the first & a half minutes, & then there’s a mid roll ad every story, then a minute break between stories, & then the last - minutes is ads again. It’s ridiculous. Honestly the ones on the ends aren’t bad but it’s so stupid hearing ‘Angie’s List in Now Angie’ literally in the middle of a story. Get it together. An embarrassing amount of ads
2022-08-07
7. Listen to this Podcast during daily Driving - I listen to this podcast every time I hop into my car and do my daily errands, I absolutely enjoy all the stories. The narrators and everyone are so good with the readings, it can become so intense that when I get home I just sit on my car to keep listening.
2022-07-02
8. commercials that cut off the stories?!?!? - I understand that you need commercials to help find your project but the fact that you are inserting them during a story where you cut off the voice actor to insert the commercial is absolutely ridiculous. The only reason I started listening to this podcast is because I finished the NoSleep podcast and I wanted something else to listen to between episode releases. I don’t mind the commercials if you have finished airing a story and putting a commercial between the stories but the fact that you cut off a story to advertise about something that I’m never going to even be interested in is absolutely ridiculous and annoying. Other than that I think the host has the perfect voice for this type of podcast and the stories are pretty well produced. But it seems as though you need to have more than one voice actor per story where is the NoSleep podcast you’ll probably have an average of four or five voice actors for all the different characters in a story even if the character only has one or two lines. Four out of five stars just because of the annoying commercial breaks.

1. This is what I lived for!! THANK YOU!!! - From the first line or the first episode I knew this was a one of a kind, mega high quality production. I was totally transfixed. I have never used that word about anything. I feel like I really know these characters. It’s as all encompassing as any amazing book. I’d say even better. - I just listened to the last episode no spoilers I can’t tell you how moved I am by this extraordinary body of work. The tears streaming down my face feel wonderfully complex. I won’t soon forget this experience. Thank you all for this masterpiece. - Aubrey

2. Can see this as a SERIES!! - WHAT A GREAT STORY! I absolutely did NOT see the last episode coming. I liked the Back and Forth in time when Sam was speaking to Lea. It’s a very intricate story and you had to pay attention to not miss any cues. It really wrapped up all the loose ends. UPDATE: I was surprised & excited to hear there was going to be a S!! I went back and listened to Season again before starting S to get all of my characters straight. A Audio Drama. Rebecca Klingel is such a great Writer. I ABSOLUTELY can see this as a Series. MIKE FLANAGAN & Rebecca Klingel NEED to get together again TO MAKE THIS A SERIES! I could picture this in my head the whole time that I was listening …of course Cole Sprouse must be Sam Walker. PLEASE NETFLIX!

3. Incredible story! - I read this story on the NoSleep subreddit years and years ago now, and it was one of my all time favorites so you can imagine my excitement when I stubbled upon this podcast! I was NOT disappointed at all! It captured the original story so well and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Highly recommend this listen.

4. Good Story, good production - Pretty good story and cool production, especially the first season. Second season I started getting fed up with how Sam kept trying to undermine Kimber’s agency. It seemed like an opportunity to tell a story about agency and power, the myth of permission, and so on. But, alas, an opportunity not taken.

5. Starts well and goes downhill - The first season was great up until it’s conclusion, which, for me, was too ridiculous for the kind of suspension of disbelief that is necessary to enjoy fiction. The second season leans further into the same direction and gets worse. The other issue with season is the main character acts like an idiot — and I get it, he’s supposed to be temperamental. So I just quit on season before it even ends.

6. OK, but issues - Compelling and exciting, I'm always willing to susoend disbelief. But as it continued, I realized that we have the most irrational, incompetent, unlikeable and idiotic protagonists of all time. On top of that, as I've said about other podcasts, there comes a time where listening to characters argue incessantly with one another ceases being a fun listening experience. Very slight spoiler- Also like another podcast I've listened to, what we thought was some kind of supernatural monster just turned out to be what I'm calling a new trope: Just People Doing Horrible Things In Broad Daylight And Inexplicably Getting Away With It For Years. Which I realize is Man's Inhumanity to Man, but good grief, make it believeable. I'm not going to pan it with one star, it's not the worst so make your own decision.

7. Mind blowing - I have no clue where to start with this one. This podcast deserves more than stars. I was on the edge of my seat every time. Guys the ending left me so speechless. I didn't even know I was holding onto my breath. I had to keep pausing because I couldn't believe what I was hearing or imagining. My hat goes off to everyone involved in Borrasca. The whole cast was so good. I could picture everything as if I was there. I like to listen to podcasts in my car so you can imagine how my Face expressions looked as people drove past me. Applause. ps... encore, please (nd seasoned please come fast)

8. Rebecca Klingel is a master storyteller - I had to look up more work by Klingel after hearing her story “Whitefall” on the NoSleep Podcast. Learning that she also wrote for Haunting of Hill House was an awesome surprise; it’s one of my favorite pieces of horror media ever. Borrasca was the first QCODE production I ever listened to, and remains my favorite. The acting and sound design are top notch, which really makes you feel immersed in the story. Both seasons & are equally amazing, and Klingel excels at pacing and building mystery/suspense. Oftentimes with other podcast stories, the ending feels rushed or unsatisfying, but Borrasca was perfect to me. Well worth the listen! I hope Klingel works with QCODE again because it’s truly a match made in heaven.

1. Great work - The voice is scary in the first season episode one at the beginning I don’t know if it does that in all of them yet I just started. I like the guy’s voice the one that tells the stories. It’s scary though the first one. But I mean who need sleep. I’m just kidding I need sleep everyone does or they will die. There is cussing to but I don’t care I like this so far though. I LOVE IT ITS GREAT MORE PLEASE DO MORE!!!!!!! I really what he says in the beginning “who needs sleep anyway hahahahahahah” I love this podcast support and subscribe and follow and everything this guy! Also there is only ads for me in between stories. And his voice is perfect you rock!

2. Always amazing - This is my go to for amazing content!! I’ve listen to every Episode and never get tired of this channel! Edit : still love every episode thanks to Otis and the all the amazing artists for the amazing content. EDIT : still an amazing series! I love relistening to all the episodes I’ve already listen to

3. Definitely worth it for horror fans - I’m not the biggest horror fan, casual/average fan. I’ve really enjoyed this podcast over the years. I’m about in the th season having listened to the majority of the previous seasons. Breaking it down I’d say % of the stories are fantastic, % are good, and the other % weren’t for me. A quality show with a top tier narrator. I’d say Mr. Jirrey’s performance alone gets a full five stars! He does a fantastic job!

4. Corpse Child can eat a large member - I cannot stand Corpse Child. I wish this podcast would not feature his writing at all. He goes for shock value and his stories are only depressing. His prose is awful and you can tell the twist coming from a mile away. Deadly kids and children going nuts along with being murderers has become all too cliche because of weak minded writers like Corpse Child. I have hear other stories of the completely over rated Corpse Child. If Corpse Child ever reads this, I want to tell you that you are awful in every since of the word. I can’t get the hour I just listened to your garbage. Your only trick is that kids either die or kill in your stories. Wow…that’s the best you have?!? You are sad and weaker than a shock jock by far. If I could leave negative on Corpse Child, I would in a heart beat. Well, Corpse Child simply wants to make people upset. What’s next CC, a six year old going into a hospital newborn nursery with a Mac- with grenades strapped all over their body while their parents watch and beg them to stop and come home?!? Your writing is weak at best. Moreover, it’s not in the least entertaining CC. You should retire now. Since listening to your story was free, I can’t sAy you were priced fairly. You should be paying others to read the trash you spew on here.

5. Too many ads and the narrator’s voice is too happy for what it’s reading… - I listen to a very popular scary story podcast called dr.no sleep on here, and that guy has the most soothing voice ever, perfect for scary story telling. Whoever narrates this Otis Jiry podcast is way too chirpy and kills the scary vibe, and the amount of ads are atrocious. Not worth a sub.
2022-09-30
6. Decent stories… poor narrator - I listen to many podcasts, horror is my favorite genre. I have been listening to this particular podcast for about a year, however, only when I have nothing else new to listen to. The stories are interesting but Jiry’s narration leaves much to be desired. He has a good voice but he struggles with pronunciation of many basic English words. I find myself spending moments trying to figure out what word he was attempting to say, all immersion lost. It’s almost as if he is just reading the script, sounding out unknown words as he goes. The podcast would be better with more effort from Jiry or another narrator.
2022-07-21
7. My absolute favorite! - I work night shift at Walmart, so as you can imagine time moves slow. I listen to this podcast every night. I even listen to it in the shower. Sometimes I don’t want the stories to end. I am picky about voices when it comes to podcasts, but I’m telling you now this is the one. The stories that are told are also some of the best! Anyway if you’re a horror/scary story fan, LISTEN TO IT! I promise you won’t regret it.
2022-06-03
8. Packed with Ads Now - Used to be a great show to fall asleep to. Now I can’t relax because I have to fast forward through ads every minutes. After a minute introduction and ads, the story goes for minutes, then another minutes of ads. Absolutely ridiculous. Really trying to push those ad-free patreon subs apparently.

1. Golden Age of Radio at it’s best! - I stumbled upon Adam’s podcast by mistake this past year and realized how few of YTJD episodes I had actually heard. I started listening to the broadcasts from and finally caught up to present day. Listening to these episodes from a bygone era reminds me of stories my grandmother used to share and makes me appreciate them all the more. Adam’s commentary took me a little while to get used to, but now I absolutely love the knowledge he has and shares. The audio quality isn’t always perfect, but each and every preserved episode is a treasure from the past.

2. Adam Graham- The Man - This guy has kept me entertained for years with the radio shows that he has brought back to life. I'm years old and used to listen to these shows weekly with my grandfather from his own personal collection. Since his passing I have had this huge hole in my life, these have really been a solace to me over the past few years. I can also appreciate the amount of work that must have gone into recording over and converting these tapes. God bless and thank you so much Adam, these would have been all but lost to the world without you.

3. Great content but - YTJD is one of my favorite shows. Adam ruins it by talking so much. I have had to stop subscribing to all of his channels due to his continual minute monologues before each show..... I just want to hear the show Adam. I appreciate how much work you do for the preservation of the shows but I am sorry. I can't listen to you anymore.

4. The BEST radio detective show! - YTJD has become my favorite show, and I always enjoy Adam’s commentary. The serialized shows are the best, but I enjoy the others as well. One problem I have it that only the latest episodes are shown in my iTunes feed. Anybody know how to get the earlier shows through iTunes? Thanks!

5. Takes getting used to - I grew up on a military base in Germany between -. It doesn't seem that long ago, but it was. The only tv was in german and it signed on at pm with just two channels. I learned to speak German watching a dubbed star trek and the avengers. Oh that Emma Peel and her effect on a young man's raging hormones. Anyway...my alternative was AFN, the armed forces radio network. It wasn't old time radio to me, it was what I regularly listened to. It's like I grew up in my fathers generation. My favorite show was Johnny Dollar. I was years old and was transfixed by the stories and style of Baily. Currently, I work as a voice over artist and attribute my style to what I learned listening to the great actors of yesterday. In terms of the host's performance it took some getting used to, but what he lacks in style is more than made up in his knowledge and enthusiasm. He's great and if he got a slightly better microphone and used a wind screen, that would make for a better presentation. Just a suggestion, and please take it for what it is, just a bit of advice from a fan. Thanks.

6. THIS IS THE BEST! - I know Adam likes to hear about younger listeners, I'm and listen to this daily. I've been a fan of the early hardboiled crime noir detective writers like Hammett and chandler for a while now but since I started college I haven't had any time to read extra books unrelated to school. This way I still fit in my fix of crime noir while doing dishes. But I'm almost caught up! Not looking forward to having to wait for new episodes. I only listen to the Bob Bailey ones so I might have to check out the other ones. Also speaking of crime noir, they steal from Hammett and Chandler (as well as film noir movies) in these all the time. The first bob bailey was almost the same story as Chandler's "farewell, my lovely" and episode takes steals chapter of Hammett's "red harvest". Everything from the rich and powerful bed-ridden old man, to the physical description of the assistant, the threat to throw the detective out, the assistant knowing he's not strong enough to do so. Everything. Also, I'm a composer studying film scoring and the music is fantastic! It's so great. The main theme is very dramatic and there's lots of other great cues throughout like the dreamy chromatic clarinet theme (example of this in epsd. at :). Keep it up Adam! Such high quality entertainment. I hope it never ends.

1. Dear God - I’m not by any means knocking the the time and effort that was put into this, but OMG it’s a hard listen. Like very hard. It’s so dry and Anna’s recordings are bland. They are a few that were genuinely creepy like I looked over my shoulder once or twice but they are few and far between. I’m really trying to stay interested, there were a few times I had to skip ahead because her recordings were just pointless to the main plot seems like. Overall this could’ve been done better. Idk if I’ll make it to season ….
2023-03-24
2. Pretty good podcast - A bit rough off the start with great potential. Got better on into the first season. (Spoiler) I most stopped listening when I thought Sam was dead. Thankfully he wasn’t and glad I continued listening. Nearing the end of season , looking forward to see where this crew ends up with the search for Anna.
2023-01-18
3. Not Realm's Best - I'm an avid Realm listener. I listen or have listened to most of their podcasts. I think Realm is a great channel and normally love their stories. This script was poorly written and the actors don't seem experienced enough to work properly through it. There's an acting tic people do where they exhale a lot. These actors are doing that. I don't understand why because they probably have the lines right in front of them. I'm sorry but the main actors are so bad it's like sitting in a college acting class. (Which I've been an instructor for multiple times). Like I've done screen recordings and sent them to some close acting friends so they could hear how bad it is. Im episodes in and I don't think the plot is enticing or intriguing enough for me to keep putting up with the voice actors.
2023-01-08
4. Don’t waste your time - Between the godawful voice acting in this show and the embarrassing forced & performative activism in Unwell, Realm would be completely off of my list if not for the amazing podcast that is Dark Heights. Seriously, I cannot believe the company that made those two abominations of shows made that one. Do yourself a favor, do not listen to The Sheridan Tapes or Unwell and go straight to Dark Heights.
2022-12-22
5. I want to like this but - The missing author’s voice is so fake and unbelievable. It sounds like she’s just reading a script, not like she’s actually a Stephen king level famous author. She seems uninterested in what she’s even saying and she sighs her way through each script. She doesn’t sound like someone thinking and recording stream-of-consciousness journal entry. Her parts are not that great to listen to. Honestly, I end up tuning her out and then having to re-listen multiple times just to be able to follow the plot. I hope that it doesn’t drag the rest of the storytelling down, but getting through her parts are definitely a chore. The main detective is a bit flat as well, but is consistent enough that he sounds pretty true to the character he’s portraying and not like someone who is just bored and reading a script. Being bored/annoyed/exasperated is part of his character.
2022-09-22
6. Seasons and Many Months In - The tale of Ann Sheridan grabbed my attention from the first listen and it kept it up through Series . Series though is losing me. It seems the authors are have moved on to a new narrative that’s too vague and only mildly connected to what came before. I’m sorry because it started out really good.
2022-08-21
7. Mind the ads - I rather enjoyed the first episode I listened to, it was a great story and kept me engaged the entire time. I went on to follow your podcast and began to listen to your first episode. The first ad was about the overturning of Roe v. Wade, and how abortions are inaccessible. This is false. States in the US have the right to set limits on abortions, up to forty weeks in some cases. In others, after the birth of a child. I was only looking for spooky stories, not political adverts nor agendas. Roe v. Wade was about the right to privacy between a woman and her doctor, just privacy, not aborting a life. There are other examples of US Supreme Court case laws that have superseded Roe v. Wade for over a decade now. Its not what is being portrayed. I came to your podcast for my own bit of escapism from reality, I didn’t want to hear political agendas or calls to action. As I mentioned, I did enjoy the first episode I heard and certainly do not mind ads. You put in effort to produce good content and should be paid for your time! However, I cannot listen to further episodes as I do not want to support what I view as murder. I’m a layman when it comes to podcasting, but a topic like abortion seems like a polarizing issue that would divide your audience, in your current category. Perhaps you could find advertising for contraception instead, unless you choose to support abstinence which is also polarizing to an audience. I left this as a three-star review and chose to engage by writing this, I would rather listen to more episodes and give it five stars, but I just can’t and don’t want to hear political talking points in my morning leisure time. I wish you well!

8. Story is fine, but the voice acting is… not great - The writing is decent enough to warrant the extra star, but hoo boy… I’ve heard better acting in a high school play. I know it’s not easy - especially when it’s essentially a min monologue each episode, but even then… not great. Going to try a couple more episodes to see if it gets into a groove, but on episode and not super impressed so far.

1. Riveting - I couldn't stop listening and just had to binge season . I'm not a huge fan of horror and violence but there was a lot of craziness going on to keep my interest. It was sometimes hard to remember who a character was that appeared in earlier episodes and then suddenly is back in the story. Not everything connected well and there were a lot of loose ends. I love Gabriel's voice - I could listen to him all day!
2023-01-21
2. Wanted to like - I really want to like this podcast - the story seems like it’s going somewhere, but the format is odd. It’s more like an audiobook with three readers than a radio play. Why have one voice parody another voice when there’s an established speaker for that character? Why does year old Tess sound closer to ? I love Gabriel’s voice, but an entire episode about one character is just not doing it for me. I wish this was written as a script and not a book - I’d love to get more into the story, but I just can’t.
2023-01-16
3. Started my second listen…u should too - episodes in to my second listen and I can’t believe how much more I actually appreciate and love this show on the second pass. So many details make sense on second listen. Been a year since my first pass. Absolutely amazing. I look forward to a third listen and probably a fourth. Great work and thank you for creating something that gets me feeling so good. Thank you!

4. Middle ground - Ok, the reviews for this show are all over place and one of them is just a star review of the recent Supreme Court decision which has absolutely nothing to do with this show. I thought I would chime in. I really like the show and it has great voice actors, but it’s really hard to keep track of all of the different characters since they’re voiced by narrator at the time. Some of the accents even change based on which narrator is interacting with them. This isn’t so bad, but there are some technical issues with the episodes themselves. Every once in a while the show will suddenly rewind back to an earlier point and then sometimes catch up and sometimes just kind of skip to where it left off. It even did it at the end of SE and it completely skipped the end information of the each episode.
2023-01-04
5. Tropey characters, engrossing plot - I really like the premise of magical beings battling across time. But the characters, ugh!! Helpless white women with superpowers, the nice lesbians die, gay/non-binary men never even kiss, let alone find love, and then there is the literally a magical negro. Oh, if I could skip to the end.
2022-12-09
6. Enveloping - What a ride this story took me on! From the start of episode one I felt as if this cast of characters had adopted me into their friend group. The telling of this story through various methods of recollection from each character makes you feel as if you’re the only confidant they have. It envelopes you into their world! So get ready to enjoy a story of so many twists and turns your heart may just jump right out!
2022-06-05
7. Loved it - I was hooked. Perfect voice acting & good plot. I have a few questions like who’s the guy in the mask?? I listened to this podcast in about days(while I cook dinner) however I couldn’t get through the last minutes of the final episode. I just got bored. I think it was the back and forth. I’m gonna try it again.
2022-05-16
8. Loved everything but the last episode - I really enjoyed almost all of this podcast. The last episode felt slow and seemed to try to answer questions I never had. After spending so much time with Gabriel, the last episode feels pointless. Who was Gabriel writing to? What was the Circle up to? What is Charlie all about? Is Kevin ever going to kiss France? None of that gets answered and instead we have the weakest episode. It was deeply anticlimactic and then had an interesting ending that the writer didn’t work enough to ground in this reality. I would have went there with what happened in the end with a few more gold coins, but this felt random. Also, Lena is an idiot. That I was fine with.

1. A quality that is insurmountable - I have been a fan of Be. Busta for quite some time now, I came over from YouTube and was always astonished by what he put out there. I had listened to a few of his videos at first, but what really hooked me in was the story of the left/right game. Not only has he been able to match that caliber of story telling with his soothing/chilling voice, he has been able to surpass that bar and I feel he truly sets the standard for narration. I listen to quite a few narrators but I always come back for more from Be. I have even revisited plenty of narrations he has done, because that’s how stellar his work is! This platform truly enhances and elevates my story listening experience, so grateful he has another outlet to show off his work!

2. Great podcast, Terribly loud commercials - This is a really good podcast but the sound levels between the podcast and the commercials is jarring. I literally have to go back and forth several times changing the volume levels up and down when commercials come on. I like to listen to the podcasts when I’m sleeping but when I’m almost asleep and a commercial comes on, it’s like waking up in the Vietnam war.
2023-01-09
3. I don’t care, I love it! - I’ve been listening to this on my way to high school which was years ago. I still to this day enjoy it even with all the “blaring commercials” I really don’t care. It’s soothing and intriguing and gets me in a good mood when I’m doing chores around the house.
2022-12-18
4. So many Ads!! - I love the show itself but the amount of ads is extremely annoying and disruptive, Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between the show and ads because the ads are about scary story podcasts. Besides the ads I really like the show and the host I do think there should be a title to every story before it starts. Signing out, PNT@GN .O
2022-10-22
5. Interesting, Very Interesting!! - I liked the stories a lot!! But the commercials were just blaring loud. Please turn them down to the same level as the rest of your podcast. That’s how all good podcasts treat the volume of their ads. I have never heard ads on any shows as loud as yours - they ruin the high quality of your featured material which is great!!
2022-10-22
6. Enjoyable - If your looking for something creepy, listen in; no not scary. A lot of the first - years worth of stories are pretty good. The narrator has a great voice. Con: there are many stories (-%) have to do with people doing something illegal, getting in a bad situation and saying a assumption along the lines of “That other person had very bad intentions”. When these stories come along, I would like to hear the creepy story from the other end… “This drugged out guy passes all my ‘no trespassing’ signs. Sees me at a distance and points a gun at me. Then goes into my wood shack and locks me out for days.” SMH

7. The perfect horror podcast! - I’m so glad I found this podcast, it is wildly superior to other horror story podcasts. He has a good voice and reads the story at a steady pace and with inflections, not just monotoning the whole story. I’m addicted to this one. Also, story selections are solid. Give it a listen!
2022-08-27
8. Great stories, loud ads - I love listening to this creepy podcast and the narrators voice is soothing, but the ads are so loud!!! Update- There are so many people complaining about the volume of the ads and nothing has been done to fix it. You are going to lose your listeners if you don’t fix it. PLEASE FIX THE VOLUME OF THE ADS! Update- I can’t do it anymore. Unfortunately I’m going to have to unsubscribe until the blaring commercials are fixed
Months of complaints from tons of people about the volume of the ads and they still aren’t fixed. You’ve lost a lot of listeners due to this.
