1. Trucks - What a waste of money. The book locks up the whole IPad. And here it is a few years later, from my last review. When are you going to care about your product and quit ripping people off. Son loved the pictures. But the audio kept reading to the next page before you turned it. And the highlighter does not keep up with the audio. Very confusing for a kiddo trying to learn words and to read. Please fix problem,then the book would be great. Thank you. Ever since I wrote this review the book has gotten worse. The pages will not even turn. Too bad it could have been a really good book.//still having problems around page . Audio still reading to the next page before turning,and highlighter still not keeping up. // Just tried redoing this book and it still does not work right. You would think they would have fixed it by now. I guess they don't care how good their product is. I would not WASTE your money on this book. It will upset your child.......

1. Great photos and I learned a lot! - Written in first person, you get to experience a trip to China from Logan's point-of-view. There are photos that accompany each page, and the text is really well written. I learned so much about China! Reading this is much better than reading a text book about China.

2. Logan Goes to China - What makes this unique book so interesting is that it is written from the viewpoint of a young boy who was asked by his grandmother: "where do you want to go and what do you want to see?" When he chose China, Janet Dieman went tinto action and spent a year of preparaton. My twelve year old grandson loved the book and found his favorite place - the Terra Cotta Warriors. The pictures and video make the trip come alive and it is fascinating to see the unique experiences they had that most tourists miss. We took a similar trip several years ago and after reading this book, I am ready to return to this fascinating country.

3. Absolutely Amazing... - Describing this publication as a “book” is almost insulting…because it’s so much more. Through the appealing story (as told by an observant and outgoing young American boy), you are taken deeper and deeper into Chinese culture through hundreds of photos that are organized into collections of images that enlarge to full page size with the tap of a finger, plus video sequences that provide sound and motion, plus other interactive options you can open now, or save for later, plus study aids. Your son or daughter (or social studies students if you’re a teacher) will revisit this extraordinary “book" again and again, and share it with friends. I can’t wait to see more titles by this author.

4. Perfect for kids and adults! - Janet Dieman has created a fabulous iBook about a grandmother and her grandson going to China, told from the perspective of a child. Through the magic of Janet's photos and writing, a rich experience awaits those who travel with Granny and Logan. As a former teacher myself, I can see how this would be a valuable and enjoyable tool for teachers to use on the classroom.

5. Great interactive ebook - This book is about a trip a grandmother and a grandchild make to China. What makes it interesting is that it is written from the viewpoint of the junior traveller. It is full of video, imagery, and great interactivity that only enhance the story. Great read, especially for an inquisitive mind wondering about far off places.

6. Loved this book - Absolutely was enthralled by this book as an adult. What a great peek into the culture of China. I felt I was with them on the trip and I learned SO much. The tech add-ons add depth for children AND adults. And there were so many detailed pictures that lower level readers would find it interesting. They need to do more of these!

Logan Goes to China - Perfectly written and beautifully photographed, this book is a must read for people of all ages, but especially for young readers who want to experience life in rural and urban China. Told through the eyes of year old Logan, based on a trip he took with his grandmother to China, the true story takes us inside the lives and history of the Chinese people The excitement of reading this book is enhanced through interactive features such as sound videos and additional photos accessed by a click or a touch. You will never find a book like this one in your local library! As a retired teacher, I can speak to the excitement I felt when I read this book and realized what a wonderful teaching tool it would be. If you like to travel, imagine being able to introduce your child or grandchild to the experience of visiting another country very different from the one they live in by simply reading this book and using the embedded features. The possibilities are endless and at $. for a copy, there is no reason not to buy the book and get an additional copy for a friend or family member. I can hardly wait for the next addition to the Travel With Kids Series to see where Logan and his Grammy will travel next.
