1. Best Arc of Scythe book - While I haven’t rated either book one (Scythe) or book three (The Toll), the reason I’m rating Thunderhead is simple... it’s the BEST book in the series. The writing is beautiful, I love the character of Greyson, and I had chills when the book ended, and I still get chills... after reading it for the th time! It’s amazing. If you liked Book One Scythe, READ THUNDERHEAD!!!!

2. Thunderhead - A thrilling sequel to the original Scythe. It introduces more characters and brilliantly follows up others. Citra is a junior scythe under Scythe Curie and Citra continues to learn more about the scythedom and the forces corrupting it. Rowan is on the run from the scythedom, not only for his performance at the last conclave he attended, but for crimes against the scythedom he has committed. You meet Greyson Tolliver, dedicated to the Thunderhead, and learn more about regular people who live in the universe of Scythe.

3. Incredible, I would recomend it to anyone over - One of if not the best book I have ever read. in my opinion, it is better than the first book. it is what I would call a “edge of the seat” book. It truly shows human nature and corruption, things that sometimes go together. by the end of the book i can guarantee you will be reaching for the sequel or searching it online.

4. One of the best - Normally it takes me three days to finish any other book the same length as thunderhead but this took me nearly a week because at the end of every chapter I would have to consider the rules and legitimacies of society before continuing the question proposed by this book really make you think far more than that of the previous book the only thing I could think that is wrong with this installment is the wait for the next one

5. Good read - A nice story that can help one want to be in a world where natural death is no longer an option. One could even suffer life threatening injuries and not have to die. The one sure way to die, gleaning. The above the law Scythe can kill anyone. Once they kill you, death is permanent. Why? Read the book.

6. Absolutely amazing, really makes you think of these interesting concepts - OK, so basically these connections with relating the Thunderhead and Grayson and the tonests with some sort of religious beliefs was OMG THE MOST MIND BLOWING THING EVER. I could go on and on about this book (s) because they were so well curated and put together that everything LEGIT EVERTHING could be a conversation starter or even more, a full on questioning the smallest things in life or the largest things in life. These book really make me think and it amazes me every time. It is honestly one of the most gut wrenching and just plain ol FREAKING AMAZINGLY put together books I have read in probably, at least a few years. I am certainly sharing this video with my friends and doing whatever it takes for them to read the book and to engage in some interesting conversations about it. This was really sloppy when I put it together sorry but anyways I absolutely love this video and definitely checking out some more

7. Fantastic - Shusterman began an incredible series when he wrote Scythe and I was skeptical as to if he could follow. Having read Unwind and it's subsequent series, I should have had no about. Thunderhead not only continues the extensive world-building in the first book, but takes its characters (new and old alike) through intense amounts of change, despair, and even slight hopes about the revolution brewing in the scythedom. The ending was...masterful. I usually am perturbed about cliffhangers but it was so beautifully done, bringing previously disconnected characters together and I could not find any fault with it except for how long I have to wait for the next installment. Shout out to my favorite character, Greyson and the hornet he undergoes in this book alone. It was right up there with Citra and Rowan, who both had the added perk of being in the first book while Greyson was a creation of this novel. The Thunderhead also develops magnificently and all the ethical questions that arise from an omnipresent, benevolent super computer are explored and the Thunderhead is not treated as a mechanism but as a character. Whose evolution I came to appreciate just as much as those of the humans.

1. Terrific Sci Fi - Have love LDP ever since Young Guns. Even in his not to stellar films his acting stand out. I love he supports the veterans and enjoyed his comments when he hosted a weekly military film series. Now writing! I’ve just started his book and am enjoying it very much. His writing style is similar to the classic sci fi writers which tells you how good it is. Hope there will be more books.

1. Great storyline but rushed (slight spoilers) - I absolutely loved the first three books. The Heir was good aswell, and I was excited to see who Edalyn would choose in The Crown. The storyline was amazing, but felt rushed at times. I also admire her character development, but I feel as though it came out of no where.
As for Edalyns choice for a husband, it was out of the blue. Yes, she says she has slight feelings for him in certain parts of the book, but all of the sudden she loves him? It felt forced.
Even with some flaws, this series was great and I will definitely be recommending it to friends.

2. Great story lines but could use some work - To be totally honest, this was not one of my favorite books. Although Kiera Cass is amazing at keeping the story going and keeping you entertained, I’ve found that sometimes I don’t quite understand the main character’s feelings or thoughts for the actions they took. The ending was a little weird because the whole time it was hard to understand the main characters emotions. I won’t give anything away for the sake of those who haven’t read it yet. But I personally think it’d be better if she added a bit more insight into the main characters thoughts and emotions. But, the storyline was really great! And think the ideas are definitely amazing. Overall, not my favorite book.

3. Had so much potential but terrible unsatisfying ending - I loved the heir and I was excited for the crown, but the ship that was meant to be didn’t end up together which was really really stupid. If you’re interested in Eadlyn and Kile from the book before, stop halfway through and go to wattpad for a better ending!! I really wish i could erase this from my memory. It would’ve been star but Kile Woodwork saved it a bit, I guess.

4. I didn’t like the romance - (Spoilers in this) The first three books in the Selection were AMAZING! The last two books the Heir and the Crown I didn’t enjoy as much. Eadlyn’s relationship with Erik didn’t really make sense. I personally thought she should ended up with with Kile. She and Kiel’s relationship had romance in it and they really knew each other while in Eadlyn and Erik’s relationship, they didn’t really have any chemistry. Also, she just went around kissing everyone which I though was really weird. Personally I thought the first three books were amazing. Kiera Cass could have done better for the last two books.

5. Do yourself a favor and stop at The One - The character development in Eadlyn’s story is subpar. She is petulant, overly dramatic, unrelatable, and difficult. Her relationships with others were shallow and surface level, especially with those in selection, even as she got to the Elite, and especially as she made her final selection. The story line was rushed in places, dragged out in others, and lacked significant detail. I kept hoping it would improve, but was severely let down. Especially as the story concluded so abruptly without a well-rounded resolution Honestly wish I could get a refund for both The Heir and The Crown.

6. Why? Spoiler! - First of all, I was bummed that she stopped the story of America in the third book. It's not worth reading the last two. I also thought that maybe this would be a good series to read because in the Acknowledgments she thanks God, but then there is swearing in it and there is same sex attraction! Like what?? Why?? That totally just ruined the while book for me!!!
2020-02-26
7. The Crown - Although the plot could be a little dry at some points, this book will impress fans of the bestselling series. You get to watch Eadlyn turn into a brilliant young woman that we knew she was destined to be. All the thrill and anxiety of The Selection rushes back, and you’ll definitely find yourself gushing over who Eadlyn picks. This book was everything I wanted and even more, so thank you Kiera Cass.

8. In love with it! - I loved “The Heir” and was absolutely delighted when I found out there was a second book. I read it so fast (for a thick book like “the Crown”) I’m gonna have to reread it to make sure I have all the info I need! Who’s your fav selected? Like for Eikko! Comment for others!

9. HAPPY EVER AFTER - Hey!!! Sometime I just want to hug Kiera Cass haha if you know what I mean...
It was very surprising on how she make The Selections from Before and After life Sometime while I was reading The Crown of Eadlyn Story Lines to her emotional and Anxiety plus some happiness as well to it!!! You see Eadlyn reminded me of America Singer How there words in full sentence make well sense but sometime they can be dramatic in there teenager days but that how America was she wasn’t afraid to show her sassy side toward anyone who made a sassy move toward her to have some ridiculous fight in go strength to the hospital wings...Yup you heard that correctly!! lol but for an example Eadlyn Family-Friend Kyle they been friend sense they were little!!! I mean come on..if those two doesn’t want to be in love they don’t have to wanna know why??? Because the people out of the Loyal Palace life from the world they have to worried about there case and what numbers they’re talking or making money...America was a Five as Queen Amberly was a Four from her start of The Selections when Prince Clarkson with so much Anxiety in his eyes or how he was raise by his Parents..Mostly Maxson is a lot different then his Father but he does have some Anxiety thought and some issue on how to control it from time being. But again All of The Selections Series was amazing and well Romantic Feels of Heartbreak Love And Family P.S. great jobs Cass you did amazing jobs at your ages keep it up and never ever give up on being an Author!!! hugs Cass tightly love you all thank you for your time on reading my reviews and my effort it is what it is Good Night and Good Day “Keep reading as always a readers and never ever give up on being one because all you have to is try and make magical happen”

10. It’s possible that I may have put WAY too much thought into this review. - (In my defense, this is more a review of The Hier & The Crown.) I’ll admit it, my heart was not in this book. I only read it out of principle to finish off the series. Book , The Heir, really turned me off. And while the first three made for a good trilogy, it should have ended there. The killer for the final two books was the daughter, Eadlyn. I knew from the beginning of The Heir that I did not like her, but it wasn’t until about half way through The Crown that I figured out why. Tangent
Have you ever wondered why Loki, a villain, is one of the most beloved characters in the MCU? Well, aside from just being a cool character, it helps that he’s always working opposite Thor, who’s probably the most bland, two dimensional character in the MCU. Nothing against Chris Hemsworth, it’s just the nature of who Thor is. Loki has ambition, desire, goals he wants to accomplished whether they be good or bad. Moreover, he has inner conflict, between his desire for power and his love for the family that took him in. Thor just wants to drink and smash things with his hammer, and his only conflict is with whoever happens to be trying to kill him at the time. And therein lies the problem with Eadlyn. Her story is being read through the eyes of a reader who just got done falling in love with America and all her emotional baggage. With their relationship as mother and daughter, and the premise of them both being thrown into a Selection process they didn’t want, it’s hard not to compare the two. Eadlyn is Thor. She has no ambition, no motivation, and no desire to be a part of something, not even a relationship. Her indecisiveness in the midst of key moments is almost frustrating, the only times she makes decisions is when she’s put into situations where she’s forced to, she doesn’t actually WANT to make decisions. It often seems like the story and events are happening around her, and she's just along for the ride. Like the old saying goes, “you can’t help someone who won’t help themselves.” Well, I can’t root for a character to accomplish her goal when she has no goal. This is a complete from America’s character in the first three books. While it’s true that America’s goals, ambitions, and desires kept changing throughout the story, they were still always there. You knew what they were, and you wanted her to succeed. On top of that, like Loki, she also had inner conflict, between Maxon and Aspen, and between wanting to leave the Selection and wanting to support her family. A story without conflict really only has its characters to rely on. And, unfortunately, The Heir and The Crown dropped the ball, and were ultimately an unnecessary continuation to a completed story. For anyone planning on reading The Selection series, I encourage you to stop at The One, and just appreciate it as a trilogy.

11. Love this series - Read the first book in the selection series via Amazon prime unlimited and found that I loved the story! After finishing the first book, immediately searched for all of the books in the series, knowing that I would want to read them all!!! And I was absolutely right!! I could not stop reading!! Loved the story line of America and Amazon! And very much enjoyed learning about their children through The Heir and The Crown!! Now I just need a book that gives the readers more details about what happened in between The One and The Heir.

12. My opinion - Book was even better then book . It was Eadlyn actually trying to give the boys a chance and fall in love. I kinda wanted Kile to be chosen because I fell in love with him but I guess Erik is fine too he grabbed my attention and I fell for him. Great job in improving love the last book of the series cant wait for more to come. XOXO

13. Incredible! - The Crown is an all around amazing book, and is the second in a series. I won't give everything away, but there is one thing about this book that concerns me, and it doesn't have to do with the plot. When I bought the other books in this series on iBook, they were grouped in a series called the Selection. This means that The Selection, The Elite, The One, and The Heir were all in the selection series. However, The Heir is a part of The Crown as a separate series from the other books afore mentioned. But when I bought The Crown, it wasn't part the of the selection series. As in, when I looked at all my books, the first books were grouped together but the Crown was separate. Again, this isn't that big of a deal, but I just thought I would bring attention to it to see if anyone else has this problem. Yes, this is an incredible book, and I was so engrossed in it that I couldn't put it down. Literally. I stayed up for an entire night reading this. But there is just that one thing that bothers me. I'm not sure if it would be better for me to go to the staff of this app, if so please tell me. Thank you!

14. DO NOT READ - Basically everything is ruined in this book. There was no effort given in the end. Eadlyn chooses someone with no connection to her. And the person she should of chosen was banished because she "loved him too much"?? This book leaves too many questions, and not the good kind! DO NOT READ THIS BOOK IF YOU WANT THE SERIES TO BE RUINED!!!

15. AMAZING!!! - I am in love with all of Kiera Cass's books! She is such a great author. I enjoyed all of the unexpected twists and turns that occurred in The Crown. I can't wait until I get to read more of her books! If your looking for a book to read and your into romance...I recommend this book for you! I love you Kiera Cass

16. Something everyday - Maybe it was because I read reviews before hand reading this book and I kind of knew what to expect going in. And I agree with some and disagree with others. Yes it seemed rushed at the end and yes it would've been nice to get more detail on certain topics (Lady Brice, Erik, etc) but to me, i would gladly accept this as the last book in the series. I think people are upset because they want more. They're not ready to let this series as to I wasn't either. I love getting glimpse of America and Maxon's relationship. Even Aspen and Lucy's relationship. I wish Cass gave them kids before she ended the series but I guess that's where our imagination kicks in and we can continues the stories ourselves. This series is good for a light romance read. I don't regret it!

17. I bit of a let down... - I LOVED the other selection series books. I waited a whole year for this book to come out and I was really excited about it. I didn't even mind who Eadlyn ended up with(even though it wasn't who I wanted). I just didn't like what happened to the other characters. It was very disappointing. This is by far my least favorite of the series.
2016-12-31
18. Great! - I loooove this series and this book is awesome! I was worried I wouldn't like The Heir and The Crown because it was a new main character. But it was just as great as the other three! I didn't read the last few chapters of this book because I wanted Eadlyn to end up with another person. But all in all this is a great book/series!
2016-09-10
19. I wish the book never ended... - I finished the book in TWO days and WOW did I not expect the ending. Usually I can predict the outcome, but this one took me by surprise! When my friends recommended that I read the Selection Series I thought I would would probably abandon it pretty quickly... But by the second page... I was reeled into the world of girls, crown and the competition of a lifetime. If you are trying to decide if you want to spend your precious time reading this AMAZING book series... READ IT... You won't regret it!

1. Best book so far I. The series - I love this book so much I can honestly say I’ve never read a book that broke my heart and make it turn into mush in the same book. It’s either one or the other. Also can relate the main character eadlyn in the good ways and the bad. So definitely on my favorite reads of this year
2022-03-24
2. Not good - Honestly, I didn’t read the book all the way though but what I’m going to say is this the main character ruins the series a little. She might have picked up the traits from her mother but America grew up as we know a and had rough times. Her daughter is a princess and is just a brat. I’m sorry but it wasn’t in my opinion even good enough to read though.
2020-06-02
3. Frustrating - I read the America and Maxon books and was excited to see the selection process from a female prospective and from the other side but I couldn’t even finish the book because I hated the main character so much. She had practically no redeeming qualities. She is self centered, arrogant, and a brat. The way the book was written made it seem like the main character had never talked to her parents in any serious capacity, she knew barely anything about their lives or feelings. It’s written almost as if she just met them. Overall, I could get over a poorly written book if the story is encapsulating but it was just boring and lifeless.
2020-04-26
4. Disappointed - The overall idea of the story was excellent. What really upset me with this book was the main character, Eadlyn. Eadlyn is arrogant, prideful, and immature. She neglects the fact that her parents gave we’re just trying to give her a fair shot at life. She is unwilling to put her duties before her happiness. She wants the jewels and luxuries of being a princess, but not the responsibilities. Yes, she probably becomes humble throughout the series but why would I continue to read a book about a character I hate? America, Eadlyn’s mom, was also stubborn and hot headed but she had an amazing moral compass and valued what she had, the people around her, and equality. And tbh, I think the idea of having book about the main characters daughter was going to far. The original books were good, why add to it? Look at the cursed child as an example. That story was about Harry Potter’s son, Albus. That screen play was a huge disaster. I just think, in order to have a like able book, you need a like able character.
2018-12-22
5. Not a big fan of it - Honestly, it was kind of sad how Maxon and America grew up and was getting old and how America got DEATHLY sick and all. So in other words I hated it. It was really depressing. Yea, I was really worrying abt America the whole time in case ur asking lol. So I completely regret reading the last two books... sry Cass :(
2018-12-06
6. My opinion - This book was kinda boring I just hated how Eadlyn kept eliminating boys she didn’t even get to have a chance with I know she wanted to be independent. She could of at least tried, she gave none of the boys a chance, she was very mean to them very rude I should say, and treated them like if they were garbage throw them away. All I’m saying is this book was boring and it kinda made me want to write my own book. Overall good book. XOXO

7. Spoiler Alert!!!!!! - I absolutely loved the first three books! The romance was undeniable and heart wrenching. Although this book started out a little slow and Eadlyn was a little snotty I grew to love all the characters equally. What really ticked me off was the ending! It was rushed and even though I adore the cliffhanger, this one is unbearable. I need to know what happens!! Does America die or not! I am so mad my insides are boiling as I write this! How could even think about killing off everyone's favorite heroine! I think anyone can agree with me that our beloved Kierra Cass has taking her power as an author out on her characters in a revoltingly murderous way! I could never to that to my fans that live in their own fandom where America and Maxon live happily ever after. But that's a load if BS! If America dies, I don't think I can survive to as much as think about happily ever after. I started sobbing in the middle of class for crying out loud!!!!!! Other than that this book is a must read if you are like me and love the series (just wait for the last book to come out and read them both then!)And Eadlyn isn't such a brat the whole time, there is a lot of character development in all her books(this one especially!!)
2016-01-28
8. Beautiful. - I am absolutely in love with the whole series and have been thankful I found late in the game so i could keep reading one after another. The Heir is amazing in its own way and have enjoyed every word. But never in my life have I wanted to throw a book against the wall. I am beyond looking forward to next book and it needs to be ASAP!! Don't keep us hanging.....
2015-12-09
9. It's okay spoiler warning - Overall I loved the first three books. I finished the series in two days. After the "The One" I thought the natural sequence would have been the lives of Maxon and America after the Selection. There was so much information left out. America telling Maxon about her dad being apart of the northern rebels, did the northern rebels help to end the caste systems. Also their early parental days. "The Heir", twenty years later was disappointing. The character Eadlyn was mean, a brat and Maxon nor America is like that. Eadlyn relationship with Marley's daughter is terrible. I could understand it more if Eadlyn was younger than Jose. First the selection process not well organized. They should of had an event planner like Sylvia maybe a male to work on the guys. The plot was good but I felt like it could have been developed more. For example I wished The brother and Camel didn't elope. I love the letter that Ahren Wrote to his sister but which it was issues he discussed in person. Also I don't think her ability to run the country is determined on her being in love but the ability to not be selfish and have a drive to help people be the best they can be, to uplift rather than tear down. Loved Eric, but hated that he's not in the selection. Love Kile and I wish I knew who placed his name in the drawing. I hated the story line of Lucy and not being able to conceive. Also who is Maxon personal assistant that Eadyn is so concerned about? Overall I enjoyed the book, but not as much as the other three. Im hoping she can tie loose ends together in the fifth book.
2015-11-08
10. Disappointing - I really liked The Selection trilogy, and I was really excited for this one, but when I read it, I wasn't drawn to the character as much as America, and I didn't really feel any empathy for her and what she had to deal with. The ending felt like there was really no resolution, and during the entire book the romantic interest felt very vague, even up to the end. Just a hint at which of the characters would end up with her would be great.
2015-08-26
11. The heir - Caution... There are spoilers about the end of the book in this review! I think this book was great. I didn't think Ms. Cass could make another book that was as good as the first three, but she did. I do have some reservations about how it ended though. I was hoping the book would end with Eadlyn finishing her selection and either choosing, .Erik, . One of the completely unexpected selected, . Kile, . Henri, or . No one at all. I also hoped she would have found a way to make the public love her while at the same time while also juggling the selection, Ahren leaving, and her mother having the heart attack. I also hoped I would read how King Maxon settled the public's unrest about the illumination of the castes, and their want to end the monarchy.

12. GREAT SERIES - I read all seven of the novellas/books in this series in less than five days, and I cannot wait for the favorite to come out in October!! I truly hope that Kiera Cass writes either a fifth novel or several more unique povs!! Also, I highly recommend these books to whoever has time to read them!
2015-07-18
13. good - I don't like Eadlyn in most parts of the book (still haven't finished it) because she's just too bratty and annoying but eh the story is good and I like the new characters especially Kile Also I love the way Kiera portrayed adult May! I wish there was more Maxon and America moments but obviously that won't happen cries in corner

14. Perfect sequel to the perfect series - It has America and Maxwell and the parents!!! It's adorable because you can see their relationship as parents and also see (and fall in love with) their daughter. She'll make you crack up at times and makes you squeal with excitement. It's from a different perspective of what your used to. So, instead of seeing what it's like to be a contestant, you can see of what it was like for Prince Maxwell. I adore this book and am dying for the next to come out. The plot twists leaves you on your toes and you can't help but fall in love with this book and everything about it. (Not to mention, you get to see Aunt May! Yes, Aunt!! And you get to see everyone else that you loved in the first series!)

15. Why, Kiera, Why? - I LOVE this series. LOVE!!! I'm turning twelve next month. You can love this series at any age!
But you are torturing us. I am a bookaholic and it read them fast. Ex. Half of a day. Did I mention your my favorite author? Well you are. But why wait a year for the next book? A YEAR! As in days. But overall I love you and your books. Don't disappoint me. Especially with the movie. Tell us more info on that. Please. (P.S. I think the next book should be called The End. Get it?)

16. Yasssss - I got the heir two days after it came out! I think it is a great sequel. I don't really like the cliffhanger ending but I guess we just have to wait till the fith one comes out! I really like the boys and I think this was a great idea. I never liked reading this much until I started reading this series. It's a very good starting series. I'm very glad my aunt recommend this one for me to try! I love it!!!!

17. Vulnerability - Having known Ms. Cass very peripherally many moons ago, this is the first time I am reading a published work by someone I "know". What a gift her imagination has brought us. Kierra has crafted a world to which I escape at the end of a long day. I am unabashedly a mom, woman of the author's age, wife and totally freakin' sucked into The Selection. Yeah - YA Fiction does that. Ms. Cass, hats off to you. You create characters, relationships, and events that are reminiscent of my adolescence. You've invented a space for me to be joyful and escape without making my life seem dull in comparison. You've offered such a sweet balance of fantasy and reality that doesn't have the power to worm its way into my psyche - it doesn't make me wish my life was different, it just allows me to take a break. Thank you for sharing your talent and spirit with us. It makes you vulnerable and we love you for it.

18. THIS IS A WARNING - This is a warning to all those who have read this book yet. Before you excitedly read this book, be warned: if you are expecting America's thoughtful redheaded voice, you will be very, very disappointed. Eadlyn is a complete whiny brat. She is self obsessed and never thinks before she's speaks or acts. She is a jerk to people when they don't read her mind and realize they did something she didn't like. Honestly, I only finished the book because I wanted to know what happens to all the adults. Otherwise, I wish I could have kept the gorgeous cover and gotten my money back. I'll only read the next book if Kiera makes Eadlyn learn her faults and fix them. It tainted the reputation of the selection series. Please Kierra, the next book needs more time on it!
2015-05-31
19. Um.. - For someone who is a huge fan I really expected more out of this book. I came in with high expectations after getting such a great series for the selection. I was really disappointed. Unorganized. I didn't at all like the selected. I don't see her having a future with any of them at all. You really rushed through this book.

1. A Truly Stunning Read! - Brandon just wows me every time I read one of his books. So many unexpected twists and turns in every story I come across. Nothing is ever what it first seems to be, and the world-consuming revelations leave me shocked and amazed. Every system that supposedly breaks our laws of physics-Elantris, Mistborn, Stormlight-has a pattern, a Sense to it that all clicks when you finally find and place that last keystone. I'll be eagerly anticipating Spensa's next escapade into the unknown.

2. The heartbreak I felt… - This book is something alright. Frustrating, addictive, heartbreaking, thrilling, etc I could go on I couldn’t stop reading. I cried and yelled reading this book but I can say that I never felt more Heartbreak for a character that wasn’t important ever! The character development that the girls had, won’t spoil it but one in particular really made me feel for her. Great read, great series so far can’t wait to finish it!
2022-01-02
3. Innocent young romance - I’ve read The Selection, The Elite and The One . These books were ok . The typical love triangle , back and forth . The main character a young emotional teenage girl going thru all feelings of having love interests. The romance definitely fell short but I guess to be expected for a teen novel ?! I got done with the rd novel and didn’t have the interest to move on . I’m glad she ended up with the man I was rooting for , that’s what saved my interest in these books .

4. amazing!! i would sell everything to re-read this series again. i’m not kidding - i. love. it. i have no words to describe the feeling this book gives you. i hated reading until i read the selection series. it pulls you in and i could not stop reading. i love these books so much i can’t even describe it. my standards are set to the top for books and life in general. these books are magical. if you read this series your life with CHANGE

5. Trust me, read this series - I never liked reading books. But when I first opened up the selection I feel in love. I read each book within days. Now I just finished this book so I haven’t finished the series yet but I love it!! This book so far is my favorite! ( spoiler )- I’m really upset this is the End of America and maxon love story. But I get it what else can you write about them. I’m excited to see what the book about their daughter will be like. But after reading this book I did cry a lot! But I totally recommend!

6. Love - I just love the series when I got the first book I actually liked Aspen at first then he broke up with America I was like I hate him. I will for ever be on team Maxon. When Aspen was pursuing America I wanted him to die but I am and he ended up with Lucy and I was like I love him now and him and Lucy are perfect together!!!!

7. What a page turner! - This one is BY FAR THE BEST in the series!! I loved the outcome of it. The books in this series were all page turners and had me completely wrapped up in Maxon’s and America’s relationship! I loved Aspen in the beginning, but I was rooting for Maxon the whole time! Sooo good! I have read books that have more of a mature or rather poetic type of writing, which I prefer, but this series is definitely on my list of favorites. I encourage you to read it!

8. Good Book - I really like the series, my favorite is the first one. The Elite dragged on a little bit but i still really liked it. The One was great but I wish the ending was more satisfying. Everything felt so rushed like SPOILERS America and aspen were discovered and then Maxon hated her and then the rebels attacked and people died and they got married, it was all so FAST! I really wish that Maxon and America had more time together before they got married because it seemed like it was rushed. But overall I love the series, I’ve reread it so many times because it’s so good. Much better than the Matched books. All in all, you should definitely read this series if you like dystopian settings, romance, and a good love triangle. Though there is some “action” in it, this book isn’t really intended to be an action book and romance is really its strong suit so you should focus on that instead. The action plot line wasn’t as fleshed out as other dystopian books I’ve read but the romance was great because it’s a ROMANCE book.

9. I’m in love ! - Thank you Kiera Cass for making this series an experience I will never forget! Of course I had some least favorite parts like the continuous arguments between America and Maxon but in the end it worked out! I love the way the characters have changed throughout the series and I’m just going to say this now but I cried MANY times throughout this book! The hardships and emotions in this book are so realistic !Kiera’s writing is PHENOMENAL and I can’t wait to read the extras! P.s If you don’t like violence then this series is not for you!

10. A fantastic read - This is the third book in the series and I love it. It draws you in from page one and it is has more mature scenes than the Selection or the Elite. So maybe for a little older audiences... I couldn’t put it down and it even made me cry (just a little bit!.) again it’s worth it. I recommended it to some of my friends and most of them loved it! If romance isn’t ya thing than I wouldn’t recommend it but if it is... then READ IT! you will NOT regret it.

11. Awesome book!!! - I love this book and I wish there were more like it.I love how Keira Cass always made the chapters end on cliffhanger making readers yearn for more.Almost every Selection series book I have read, I have stayed up late finishing them and I don’t regret it. Anyways,I really want to say thank you to Keira Cass for making my life feel magical.
2019-10-03
12. AMAZING - I love these books sooooooo much write more. This is not hate mail but America and Maxon didn’t like each other the whole Elite. And I hated how America and Aspen were caught. Also I wanted clarkson to know about August and gorgia. And I want to know why the king hated America I get that she was a throw away but why. Also why did America’s dad die right in the middle of whatever was going on. And why did it have to be her dad couldn’t it have been her mom or butt face Kota.
2019-04-01
13. Good Books - I love this Book like seriously I know it was a big different between Aspen and Maxon like seriously it was really confusing at the second Books which is “The Elite” you see America Singer have a bit a of anger issue in between with her two year relationship with Aspen Leger sense someone Birthday Party in the Basement he gave her a Birthday Card “meet me at midnight up in a tree house” that how it all started with Aspen and America loves story. This is the information of The Selections from the First Books Then later on in her Seventeen Year Old Year her Family is amazing and gifted artist and singer so well being good family that anyone could ever Wishes to have that. But America and Her Mother it seem like those two fight sometime about different things or somethings. Then her Mom asked America if she wanted get her photo taken at a place where she have to wait with mom in line to get it done. That when America met Aspen Mom and His Twin Sister (very awkward for America) so after all of that was taken care of. One Friday night was a Report Show with Maxon And his Family. Speaking about the beginning of a new Selections for the prince. Then later on in the next week after that as well Aspen and America have a good conversation usually and so on about how Aspen Family was broken or poor and needed a Jobs Play helping out his Twin Sister. Then sooner in the week the person who is coming to some girls house with a packed of paperwork to fill and sign in plus read it all. America wasn’t happy she was angry and confuse with her relationship with Aspen and all. Then she met the prince and his Family with all of the Girls there from the beginning she began friending Marlee Tames Who is sweet thoughtful and compassion and good personality as well. The Mean Girl is Celeste Newsome annoying rich teenage person. And also there is Kriss. Thank you for enjoying my details with everyone. Hope I did good

14. Best book serie ever! - The first book I read from the serie was the second one and I fell in love with it. After that I read the first one and then the third. I have never been the type of person who is always reading a book, I actually read so little that when I read this serie, I was surprised at how fast I could read a book I loved. I fell in love with all the characters. This book is so unpredictable and that made me keep reading it nonstop. I would go to sleep at like : a.m. reading to find out what happens every time. The thrill, mystery and romace are my favorite genres and these books have all three. I would % recommend this book to people, special teenage girls such as myself. Never in my life have I read a book that I actually wanted to read isntead of watching Netflix or Youtube. I am so sad I finished the three books and im soooo looking foward to reading the next. I would smile, laugh and even cry a little bit while reading this greatness. I hope the author keeps writting books like these, specially for teenagers because before this I berely read anything at all and now I’m asking for the next book. This is honestly the best books I have ever read and I will surely read the again later on in the future.

15. Great book, But I wish it were a little different.... - Don’t get me wrong, I love this series, but as a was reading through the comments I had to agree with some of them. America gets way too hurt by what people say to her. I for one, would be way more excited by the series if she were a stronger person. She cries almost every time someone says something hurtful. I get that she should show emotion, but she should be a little stronger.
2018-09-03
16. My opinion - Book is just absolutely my favorite out of the series can I just say Maxon and America are meant for each other even in the beginning of the book America wasn’t into him at all, but she got to know him a little bit hang out with him more and just see what kind of person he really was Prince/king or not she sees him as just Maxon and not a one that rules the country. That what I love about this book. Except her “affair” with Aspen she should of just ended it when it got serious with her and Maxon, I know that was her backup, but come on America you can’t be playing with guys at the same time just choose one! Although I loved Aspen too Maxon is just who I love more. XOXO

17. Loved - I have loved this series since the first page! I have read all of the add on stories to the characters and have been so pleased at the wonderful writing. I wish there was more to read just I didn’t have to put the series down after I was done with it. I have read it multiple times as well! Thank you for the amazing books that I was able to find and read!

18. Just A Small Town Girl - I'm not a book critic. I didn't go through years of school. I'm just a teenage girl who is in love with America Singer and Macon Schreave and Aspen Leger and May Singer and Celeste Newsome and Amberly Schreave and so many more characters from this series. I NEVER post reviews or anything related to it, but this is worth the five minutes of typing. I LOVE this series. I have actually read it twice so far, and again, it swept me through so many different emotions. I honestly couldn't tell you how many times I cried and laughed. It's a work of art. A work of beautiful, unbelievably real art. It's the perfect escape from the obstacles of life. As I sat through hours of lectures in my small high school, I pondered different situations and emotions and tones of the book. The Selection series is something I will never get over. Something I will never stop obsessing about. Thank you for blessing the human race with this series and characters and you. Thank you for this beautiful, unbelievably real art.

19. The One - OMG!! Can't I just say what an amazing book this was and the other two books too. I am so happy that I took the time to read Americas story! I loved the thrill I had to read all the suspenseful parts I loved the heartfelt moments!! I seriously felt like I was living in this story, I felt like I was America! I can't wait to read The Heir!!

1. Awesome book!!!!! - This book is sooooo good. I had could have finished it in a day but I had to leave it for this thing. And I swear I couldn't stop waiting till morning to start reading it!!! When I woke up I grabbed my iPad and started reading I just finished and the ending it leaving me in so much suspense!!! I can't wait till the fall of five!! I already preordered!!! When will the next come out!!!
P.S. You should read all of the books!!

2. The Fall of Nine - It's a shame this author decided he needed to be edgy and add profanity to the dialogue. That and the ending is ludicrous. Characters that were once vulnerable are now written as though they are basically indestructible and the Mogs are incompetently stupid. A fun story has gone totally off track.
2012-10-10
3. Wonderfully irritating!:) - I loved this book. spoilers Finally!!!!!
We get to see all the numbers together and epically using their powers together (well Almost all of them.... I was so mad when I found out I had to wait another YEAR to find out who five was). The book had a great storyline, although fast paced and let's face it it could have been a lot longer which would have given more room to improve upon certain areas. There's a lot of fast paced romances that keep happening almost instantly that could be drawn out more and further developed. Anyways, I like how the us government are against the loriens, makes it much more interesting. I was disappointed that the teen Mog mentioned in the last lost files book wasn't in here at all which means the earliest we will ever find out what happens to him is possibly another lost files book in the summer of :/. Overall, I'd give it a . went ahead and gave it five stars tho. Im just extremely irritated this book left me asking more questions then the last one and I have to wait another YEAR before getting any. insert sobbing here

4. BEST. BOOK. EVER. - I have read every single book by Pitticus Lore. They are amazing and I can't wait for the next book in the series. There is the perfect balance of romance and action. It prefect for every reader and I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't read the books! I absolutely love this series more than any other book(: READ THE SERIES!

5. Good Read, but watch the language - I am a school teacher who enjoys young adult fiction- I like to see what my students are into to have a connection with them. The story lines of these books are great! The whole "good vs evil" thing and the way the Govt. is giving into the bad guy out of greed works. I did notice some bad language starting to creep in on this one- more than the others. I would encourage strongly for the author to watch it on that. Books like this can be a very good influence on a young mind- or a bad one. Parents should be prepared to discuss this too.
2012-09-03
6. Sam! - I read this book after waiting for months for it to come out, not knowing what to expect.
It was amazing!
It was well written, and Lore made sure all the characters had a role in events, not just John, Marina, and Six (the narrators)
The only problem I had was: WHERE IS SAM?
I guess it doesn't matter, but the whole book John feels awful about leaving Sam, but then when they get to The government place, he just wants to get Sarah, kill Sekatrus Ra (I have no idea how to spell it) and leave. I know Sam will probably get rescued in the next book, but I'm sad I'll have to wait a year to see if he is ok. Also, I didn't really like how John suddenly developed a full blown legacy out of no where. Lore spent so much time in the first two books emphasizing how much they had to train for legacies to work better.
But other than that, this book is by far one of my favorite books. :)

1. Great story line - I haven’t fully read the second book but I sure can say I love this series so much. I like to read survival books and this one is just perfect. I was struggling to find a good book and came across this in a library and read the first book and started the second and I am loving every bit!
2019-07-05
2. Frustration - The book hunger includes a overmixing quality of frustration, negativity, and unrealism. Almost anything you can possibly wonder of going wrong in a town run by children goes wrong. Mix in some superhero themes and you have quite the story. Michael Grant has quite the habit of introducing a ton of characters in his story. To name a few, Orc, Howard, Orsay, Bug, Brittney, Mikey, Sam, Astrid, Duck, Hunter, Zil, Lisa, Mary, John, Cookie, Jack and about more are characters that are featured in this story. All with their own little backgrounds to cover and remember. Which is fine to an extent but is tiring when superpowers are added and you are in a state of confusion when one starts drilling himself into the ground because you just forgot exactly what a character can do. The story has almost an overwhelming abundance of death and pain. Grant portrays year olds as machine gun wielding maniacs that are capable of wiping out mass groups of people. All while submitting to a supernatural being that grants a certain individual with a piercing whip on his arm. If the children were older, I could understand. But the unrealistic maniacal traits they are given is fantasy fuel. The book is about pages about everything getting worse with a climax of utter doom. The frustration of the characters continuing to be slaughtered and beaten down leads up to a sudden sad ending. But leads us to what is going to happen in the next books. Why four stars though? I actually enjoyed this book. The frustration of the characters is satisfying and exciting. It’s a book where you will not want to stop reading and will say “Just one more chapter.”

3. Perfect!!! - This is seriously the best series I've ever read in my life. You know how in the beginning of books it's really boring and it usually only gets good until the middle? Well I loved it from the start and Even before I started reading it. I am the number one fan of Michael Grant! Michael Grant, if you are reading this, keep on writing books! Continue the series! I want to keep on reading this for ever! Write a book about after the Fayz! From, Daisy

1. The “Sanderson Avalanche” is in full effect. - Brandon Sanderson is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. It’s no secret that I love the Stormlight Archive series, and I often wonder why it took me so long to dive into his epic library (I know why: his books are massive). But Skyward has left me with one desire, other than a sequel: for Sanderson to venture more into science fiction. Seriously, can you imagine if Brandon Sanderson were to write an epic space opera? OF COURSE YOU CAN’T! The potential greatness is too much for the human brain to comprehend. Sorry, I’m getting off topic. Skyward. The setup and progression of the story are perfect. You’re constantly being introduced to something new and interesting. Whether it be a new character, a new part of the world, or a new event, it’s done at such a great pace that you’re not being overwhelmed with information, and it’s easy to keep track of all the who’s, what’s and where’s. And when you are introduced to these new things, he’s not just pulling them out of thin air and saying, “oh hey, by the way, this is a thing.” They’re either alluded to early on and are finally coming into play, or it’s a natural progression of the world and it’s characters. On top of that, it’s progression that you actually see. I know I’m not the only one who doesn’t like Mary Sue characters, and Spin is far from this. From training at the academy, to trying to repair her own ship, and how she relates to her other flight members, you see her character develop as she struggles to achieve her dream. And by the end, she’s almost a completely different person. I will note that by the end of Skyward, there are a few unanswered questions, but at the same time, this is a series. And given Sanderson’s talent and reputation, I have no doubt these questions will be answered in time.

2. Has DRM - I just bought this book really looking forward to “reading" it because I am a huge Sanderson fan. However I don't actually read my books. I convert them into my own version of an audio book so that I can listen to them while at work or doing other activities. This e-book has DRM which prevents this. I have absolutely no doubt that this book will be as fantastic as others he has written. So five stars for that I'm just sad because now this e-book is basically a waste of $ for me.

3. Skyward Review - LOVED IT...Absolutely GREAT read from Brandon Sanderson!!! I could not stop reading. Every time I would quit reading, I would catch myself daydreaming about where the storyline was going to go. Inevitably, this lead to me picking it back up again and continuing to read. I can’t wait until its sequel is published this fall. Skyward gets five stars from me!!!

4. Loved - I love to read, I could read a book a day , or in a few hours. Given if it’s a book I just can’t put down. However, I’m an extremely picky reader. So I spend a lot of time “looking” for books to read. Reading reviews, and genre info. I was skeptical about this book, and at the same time it called to me. I could not put this book down! Normally I need a romance element to a store, for me to properly enjoy it. But this wasn’t the case. The author captivated me within the first few chapters. The underdog storyline was so relatable, and the “Star Wars” kind of detail was incredibly intriguing. Brandon Sanderson weaves an incredible story narrative and shows amazing detail into the stories background. There seems to be some “questionable “ romance, in the sense that Spensa or “Spin” finds romance to not be really a factor in her life. But also that she’s a girl, and theres definitely some potential there for more. She is a strong female lead, who struggles with her independence, and proving to herself and her peers who she really is. Brandon is able to explain in just the right amount of detail a description of piloting . that makes you feel like you would know how to fly if you’d gotten behind the “wheel” of a poco ship! I was excited, angry, scared! He had me laughing , crying, and shaking! I got goosebumps on more than one chapter, and I can not wait for another book! All in all I totally give this novel a - stars . Underdog
Female first person Syfy Sorry if my review was a little scatterbrained... it’s am and I have a newborn!

5. Brandon Sanderson never ceases to amaze - I’ve just picked up this book two days ago and like many of Sanderson’s works I’ve finished it within a few days of starting. The book is incredible as always and it’s filled with wittiness that will make you laugh along with storylines that can make you emotional enough to step away for a moment. It takes you through the wonderful journey Spensa goes through as she tries to become a pilot and it means a lot to me especially as someone who wants to pursue flight in the Air Force in the future. The book is inspiring and wonderful and I’d encourage anyone even remotely interested in either flight, fantasy, Sci-Fi or Brandon Sanderson to pick it up, read it and thoroughly enjoy it.

6. Impressed again! - Excellent read! Had a blast with the characters, and was thoroughly impressed, once again, by Sanderson.
The writing is engaging from the beginning with a wonderful plot and an eclectic assortment of characters who complement each other in wonderful ways.
A read for any who love an exciting fly.

7. What a great book - This book is amazing for many different reasons. One is the authors willingness to be real. What I mean by this is that the author is willing to kill off characters and give the harsh reality of things. Spensa is a artfully developed character with blatant insecurities and unhealthy coping mechanisms. Yet through all the gloom, there’s still hope. Amazing.
2018-12-03
8. Sanderson has done it again! - Man, this is a great read! I could not put this book down. I wish the second book was finished as well. This book sucked me into spin’s world just like Mistborn did. I love Brandon’s magic systems he builds, but this is a refreshing change! Keep them coming Brandon and I will keep reading!

9. Well, it was worth it. - My college grades plummeted due to this book, but it was far better than expected. I expected it to be really good. If you don’t read this, your going to spend your money on some other book which I can promise isn’t as good. Don’t believe me? Try it out. I challenge you- no regrets.
2018-11-13
10. Not again! - I am currently in the middle of every single series of books Sanderson is currently working on and once again he leaves me hoping for the next one. Skyward is a wonderful book which seamlessly puts you into a familiar story with true Sanderson twists. It’s a novel you feel you know but he doesn’t disappoint throwing you curves that put a smile on your face and makes you fall in love with a story about a outcast of a girl, and quirky spaceship and a slug..... need I say more.
2018-11-12
11. Excellent Variation - This story is a well-formed tale that expands upon the author’s already wide range of plot mechanisms and genres. The main character is dynamic and balanced equally with flaws and strengths. I read it all in half a day because I couldn’t put it down. Always I look forward to more works by Brandon, whatever the genre, whatever the plot.
I absolutely recommend this read.

1. Feedback - I read the first book, Variant, and was so happy to find out there was a sequel. Feedback was just as great as Variant with tons of action. I love the adventure all throughout this book. These two books have been a joy to read and left me wanting more. Sadly there was not another book. I don't like to read, but these two books made me want to read, read, read and not put either one of them down. Benson, the main character, was in for way more in this sequel. In the end the entire world is a different place. You'll have to read it to find out how Benson and others struggle for their lives to escape. I'm looking forward to reading more of Robinson Wells' books.

1. Tweeny - I liked the book, but the Halo series is turning to the path of tweeny dramas... with ordinary young adults saving the day and what not. Sure you could argue the Spartans of past books were kids themselves, but they were physically enhanced and battle trained. Even with that advantage, characters still died. This book felt like a typical tweeny drama that you know will end happy. Again, I did like the book, I just hope the Halo series doesn’t continue down this path.

3. SO GOOD!!!!!!!! - This book is amazing and I am so glad I found this series… one of my favorite books yet! It is a very captivating book and I was intrigued just in the first chapter. I have been looking for a great series, and I am so ecstatic I found it. Beautiful romance book and had me routing for Maxon and America the entire time! Loved it and other books are just as amazing as well! Would def recommend… enjoy!!!!!!

4. A fun, fluffy YA dystopian romance that will have you hooked. - I didn’t think I was going to like this book, but I did! The Selection takes place in a futuristic version of the United States, where a royal family rules and the citizens are separated by a harsh caste system. Every time a male heir comes of age, the royal family holds a Selection- a competition in which thirty-five girls from across the country compete for the throne. America Singer has always been cynical about the Selection. But when she’s drafted for the competition, she reluctantly agrees to join. As she fights for the heart of a prince she doesn’t even know, America will discover a whole new world within the palace walls. The plot of The Selection can feel tropey and predictable at times (love triangles and not-like-other-girls are the most common ones here) but I definitely think The Selection is worth reading. I would like to warn, however, that the fourth and fifth books are not as great as the first three. But overall, this series is super addictive and bingeable!

5. So. Good. - I read all books in days and I have no regrets. All the tears and stress were % worth it. I would do anything just to have this experience again for the first time. From the first page you are hooked and cannot stop reading! Perfect mix of romance and dystopia. I loved every second of this story.

6. The Bachelor: Dystopian Edition - While by no means a literary masterpiece, The Selection is a highly entertaining and addicting read. If I were to be critical, I might have a problem with the iffy world building and cliche characters. The only thing that I had a problem with was America Singer, whose name is almost as annoying as she is. Don’t get me wrong, she’s the typical nice MC...but incredibly indecisive in everything. Instead of creating tension, she just comes across as annoying. She’s also hypocritical in the love triangle, and her frequent breakdowns made it hard to empathize when it really mattered (mostly Book ). Overall, it was a really entertaining series that I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a fun read.

7. Beautifully written - It’s been hard to come across great books and with quarantine still here it’s even harder to find something that captures my interest, but this series does just that. The brilliant romance between America, Maxon, and Aspen is one that causes you to feel butterflies in your stomach and your eyes to sweat salty tears. Each chapter leaves you wanting more and when I finished the first one I had to read the rest. The Selection gives you a whirlwind of emotions that can only be satisfied by reading the entire series. If you’re looking for a book or series that will keep you entertained then I highly recommend this one.

8. LOVE - I love this book soooo much, i’ve read it a while ago and still to this day can’t stop reading it. It is one of the truest romance stories i’ve read in a long time. i
hope super badly that there will be movies!! I have told all my friends to read this series!! Maxon hands down is my favorite book character ever!

9. Best Series Ever - This book is sooo good!! Highly recommend! The whole series is amazing and a very quick read if you have time on your hands. The only thing I would change about the series is they are TOO short. I would have liked them to be a little longer but they are perfect otherwise. I have read this series a trillion times and find more things to love about it each time!! I am also sooo excited for the Netflix movie being made on it!! Make sure to read the books first!! teammaxonforever

10. Pretty good series. - So I’ve read the books in this series about America and it was a pretty good story. I do wish the writing was stronger. There are a lot of unanswered questions in the series and I feel like the author could have done more when explaining/describing things. Pretty disappointed the author didn’t continue America’s story with the th and th book. Overall it’s a good read but that’s about it.

11. Really good - The selection was suspenseful and humorous, withered a,axing characters. My favorite characters were probably America, Maxon and (if you can believe it,) Celest. Their personalities were unique and very powerful. America was funny and courageous, but but still had many feelings. Maxon was funny and shy, and probably my favorite character. Celest was sassy, commanding, and was not afraid to hurt someone to get what she wanted. Those types of characters add a lot to the story. I’m definitely rooting for America and Maxon. This was an amazing story.

12. I very good series to read. - The books in this series were all page turners and had me completely wrapped up in Maxon’s and America’s relationship! I loved Aspen in the beginning, but I was rooting for Maxon the whole time! Sooo good! I have read books that have more of a mature or rather poetic type of writing, which I prefer, but this series is definitely on my list of favorites. I encourage you to read it!

13. The Selection - I LOVE THIS BOOK and the series! I couldn’t put it down. It is a well written book and you really do love all the characters (minus a few) I do know it is worth the read. At first I was a little iffy because I didn’t think I would like all that princess stuff, but it is not at all what you think! It’s unpredictable and shocking. It has some violence however with the southern rebels and some injuries and fights, and it has a lot of romance. I love it so much. The whole series is fantastic. Worth the read. Trust. Me.

14. FAVORITE BOOK ALERT - I adore this book! I have read it, digitally and on paper, a total of times, with many more to come. This story of romance and confusion and heartbreak is touching, funny, sweet, and nothing short of amazing. This book holds the highest of recommendations from me. It has truly changed my life. I will never forget this tale, nor will I ever stop loving it. Thank you, Kiera Cass, for making this masterpiece.

15. oddly enjoyable - I was aware while reading this book that if wasn't very good. The dialogue was often corny, and the plot was incredibly predictable. However, I became very attached to the characters, and my inner thirteen-year-old-who-wants-to-be-a-princess was thriving. This is a guilty pleasure book for every girl that has delusions of grandeur

17. So amazing - This. Series. Is. Literally. The. Best! I’ve reread it all five times and still not bored of it. So so romantic and cute, and the plot was so unique and captivating. And the characters are soo fantastic especially America she’s just so great. These books will make you laugh, cry, and pretty much every emotion. Definitely read these books they will be worth it. Kiera Cass is an amazing and talented writer.

18. Cute book - Even though this book was the bachelor and cheesy, it was honestly super cute! I really enjoyed the cuteness and love. I don’t read gushy types of books, but this was an exception. A few action moments but mostly competition, poor girls. But I’ve seen this book since elementary school and I finally read it in college! Definitely a younger reader book, but all over cute.

1. Books, Countless Tears - books, countless tears. Rebel is the best ending to the story of Day, June, Eden, the republic, and this whole universe Ms. Lu gave us and so much more. I’ve learnt about trauma and pulling through it, of crumbling nations and rebuilding them better, of healing, of sorrow, of trust, of sibling love, of romantic love, and of staying in the light during dark times. So thankful i read this

2. So double review - So on my iPad I cannot read champion but I had the paperback version. I only wanted to read it because it said it was restricted on my iPad because of sexual content which while reading I didn’t even get to read because IT WAS NOT THERE and the champion book was soooooo bad I give this a ZERO STARS SAME WITH THE BOOK REBEL the amount of stupidity of both the colonies and the republic is extremely large and the book lost me the whole time I mean Champion was just the amount of hospital visits and making out in allies and bathroom for hours were increasingly get even more stupid the republic was good when June starts to make out and very much start to cheat on day with Anden and make the republic the good guys or something but they were all along that just crap. The only reason I read this book was because the reviews compared it to the hunger games which was only a similarity on location and deep messages but it was just the bachelor and kissing. So every book in this series is bull poo legend prodigy champion and rebel are the worst books I have read in years these book are horrible for the readers about read other books by this author

3. I love it so much!!!! - I feel like this book tied everything up in an amazing way. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because I would like to see a little more of June and Day romance because that’s the whole reason I read the book. It has a good amount of action, and it’s nice to hear from Edens POV. I don’t actually love Eden, and I loved Days part better but oh well. I’m sad that they call Day Daniel now because he will always be Day to me, and I’m sad that he doesn’t get all his memories back. But it was still SO SO GOOD and for some reason I love reading about Day climbing around buildings and being his old rule breaking self. The last chapter was AMAZING and was what I’ve been waiting for the whole time!!!

4. ahhh I can’t wait - --: i can’t wait for this to come out.. hoping for some Tess and Eden edit: -- still can’t wait! the cover is soo pretty and the sample online is amazing. still counting on tess and eden :) edit: -- I just read it and it wasn’t as good as I hoped. June and day didn’t feel like June and day (even with a years difference) and I feel like the entire plot was unnecessary. nothing that happened in the story changed the outcome. there we let no major deaths which would have made the story a lot better. June and days romance was a side plot, and that kind of upset me a little bit, because the main reason I ever read prodigy was because I liked their romance. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t awful, I liked the Eden and pressa factor (but I still would have liked tess and eden, lol), and the romance that was there was pretty good. the ending was amazing. In the end, I give in three starts. :)

5. Can’t wait - All of Marie lu’s other books are absolutely fantastic and I can’t wait for another one. I’m so stoked. Edit: it was crazy good. A book of up and downs and crazy turns like a rollercoaster. I honestly just wished t was longer so I could enjoy moar of the great writing. star book.

6. Please Buy Immediately - So Ive been a huge fan of the Legend series over the years and was a bit disappointed by the ending of Champion and I honestly thought we weren’t going to get another sequel, but oh boy am I telling the truth when I say that this book is perfect, it ties up all loose ends and questions we have about the characters involved in the whole story, but is still as action packed as the previous novels(I would love to see another book come out telling us how everyone lived their days out for the rest of their lives btw). But in short, buy this book it will make your life x better ;)

1. OMG!!! - what a perfect ending to this incredible series!! i love love love the way everything was wrapped up in the end, the way no ends were left loose, the closure it gives!! i had grown such an attachment to this series i was afraid that the ending would leave me feeling empty, but i’m so happy with the way it concluded. amazing book!

2. Satisfying ending to an amazing trilogy - I read the first book on a whim and had to finish the series. I loved the entire journey and all the breadcrumb plots finally all coming together. However it was disappointing to read through the comments here and see people complaining about it being “political” or not needing the “lgbt” portion. Spoilers, lgbt people exist. We read books. If you’re so closed minded and scared of “politics” in books I recommend not reading YA Dystopian novels
2021-01-23
3. Suddenly political - I give this two stars because Neal Shusterman decided to write with a subtle political undertone throughout this third installment. The writing is much the same as the first two books in that it is based of a great premise in a defined world but rather blunt in its storytelling making me feel like the writing was rushed. If this series was a little more etched out and Shusterman took more time to ease the audience in and, of course, cut out all the politics. This would be a fantastic read. Till then, stars.

4. The best way to finish a series - I was so upset when I finished the book that I cried. I didn’t want the book to end. It was so good. Although, I would like to see the story carry on from the ending (you can do SO much with this story and it would be absolutely amazing!) I loved this series so much. Also I am excited for the possible movie that could be coming out (I really hope if Disney is producing it that they don’t destroy like they did A Wrinkle in Time ) but I think it would be easier to make a tv series instead.

5. The ending made me cry. - This book, this series is beautiful. The ending of this book had me happy crying, and I still am. It was so heartfelt, and I really think that everyone should always read a really good book like this. I feel, that even though I wished they kissed at the end, it was quite, the perfect, most glorious, tender ending

6. Phenomenal ending to a phenomenal trilogy! - Neal Shusterman delivers one of the best trilogies in years with the Arc of a Scythe. He makes us question morals, humanity, life, death, and relationships and how we as humans fit in the world. He creates a beautiful world and an incredible, riveting story. The characters are amazing and the story fits together like a puzzle that pleases and baffles the read. / must read

7. The second half is a disaster - The first half of the book was great! Lots of excellent storylines going in interesting ways with lots of cliffhangers. Then it turned into what the heck is going on. Way too much was happening all at once. The ending was so much softer and boring. All of the spunky characters amounted to nothing. The end amounted to so little that it took away from the other two books.
2020-03-25
8. Meh - I love the first two books. Don’t get me wrong. It’s just that I felt like Neal was kind of distracted while writing the end of the book. Like you think that Citra is going to start a revolution, and then she runs away. Like, that’s not really part of her lifestyle. I’m felt like it was cut off. I not sad or anything, just a tad bit disappointed.

9. The perfect bow of an amazing trilogy! - As the title say this is the perfect bow of one of the greatest trilogy’s made. It was a roller coaster of love and hate. This series is a must read for everyone who is able to read at this level. I never wanted it to end and that goes for all of the books in this trilogy. What a perfect ending for a perfect series!
2020-02-13
10. ( SPOILERS) - The whole arc of a scythe series has got to be one of my favorite series. I can’t wait for the movie (btw it’s being produced by Universal). I cried at the end especially when Rowan made the decision to stay alive for years and then turn a corner. I really wanted him to stay in the cold with Citra.. but that didn’t happen. I definitely cried at the end when Citra said “When was that” and Rowan said “Only a moment ago” .On the upside I was glad Rand put Tyger back together and finally got rid of Goddard. I was also pleased with the joke “Only idiots build walls” . Overall it was an emotionally book. I’m still recovering from the pain and saddens me to think that I will never read from Citra or Rowans p.o.v again.

11. Unfocused (no spoilers) - I have enjoyed both of the other books in this series and this book is no different. However, I do not like this book because it is a well written book. It has several major flaws that hold the book back. The biggest problem is the lack of focus of the book. By this point there are so many characters in different locations looking for different goals. Major characters disappeared for major sections of the book. A book like this should have a clear through line with a clear goal. If it weren’t for the page numbers, I wouldn’t have had any idea how close the characters were to achieving their goals. It made it difficult to recall and describe the plot. Another issue is that many of the plot lines failed to amount to anything. Without spoiling, two of the characters goals amounts to no affect to the end of the book. Even the events of previous books seem to have an issue with not sticking between books. Finally, there are the twists. There are many twists in this book, but there often don’t understand where they are coming from. Characters make decisions that are out of character or confusing about the connections to their goals. I liked this book because it was more of the universe but I think it could have been better in terms of structure and plot.

3. Airborn - I absolutely loved this book! Kate and Matt go into a difficult situation on the island with pirates. They manage to survive being thrown into a hydrium tank and being attacked by pirates. I don't know what VOYA is talking about, but this book is for girls and boys! I suggest everyone who can read to read it! :D

4. Fantastic - I had to read this book for school and I was dreading it because if the length but as I read on, I wished there was so much more. It was like cake and I was the fat kid eating it all. (I'm not really fat lol) but this book is excellently written, all out suspenseful, and even romantic. Anyone from - should read it. One of the best books I have ever read and I read many books. Just absolutely fantastic.

1. Would definitely recommend! - I started reading the Gone series in th Grade, when I started reading them I wasn’t sure what exactly to think about it. When I started reading this series the first six were already out and the seventh one was on the way. I fell I love with the series from the first book and read each book. I love and own every book and would recommend it to anyone wanting a good series to read.
2019-11-23
2. Disappointing - I’ve read all nine books and this is the first to honestly disappoint me. The stakes in this sequel trilogy are yes world wide but not as high for our main characters, or they don’t feel like it. It’s not the ending that I really feel like the author come up with driving home and said yea I’ll do that, but the first half is downright slow and boring. The gone series has never been slow and boring. The satisfying character returns almost saved it but Mr. Grant just had to go all Game of Thrones on us.

1. Love I t! - This book is the ultimate combination of all the things I could have dreamed of reading in a book. Everything is perfect! I love all of the characters and the dystopian-ness of it. I love the storyline, and how all the kids were forced to revert to natural instincts to stay alive. I love it. I hope one day it becomes a movie...

2. I LOVE THIS BOOK! - This is easily one of the best books I've ever read! The whole series is amazing. It combines action, adventure, si-fi, and a touch of X-Men for good measure. If you are looking for a good book with plot twists and is the exact definition of a page turner; these books are right for you! The kids don't always use the best language and a lot of things won't be explained in this book, but it's worth it to read the series!

3. Best books ever - I love the Gone novels they are the best books I've ever read I'm on the last book I Cant stop reading the series until I know what happens in the end. I love the gone novels I hope they make a movie out of it but the book will always be better. read the first book and you won't want to stop. The first thing you might think about gone is nah it's too big but trust me it's worth it . Read gone

4. Great read - If you can keep track of more than a handful of characters, and the constant changes in scenes, this book is for you. I have read almost every Distopian novel and series that exists, including hunger games, the uglies, the giver series, the delirium series, the unwind series, the declaration series, the maze runner series, the lux series, and many more. This novel left me turning pages at rapid pace, and had so many twists and turns I couldn't predict what would happen next, or how it would end. From character development, to a deep and twisting plot, this book will not let you down. You fall in love with some characters while loathing others, but that is what a great book does, it makes you feel something. I will be reading the other books in the series, and will update my review as I finish each book. If you are looking for an interesting book with a completely new idea in Distopian literature, I suggest you read this book next. But be warned, you'll get hooked on the series!

5. FAYZfan - Very well thought out and exciting. The idea of everyone disappearing if they were or older is, in my opinion, very original. Michael Grant is an awesome writer who improves the series with each book( even though later books are kind of awkward). I love this series and wish it had a sequel series. I am a huge fan. Loved the book. Thanks.

6. A great start to an amazing series. - I have read all of the books in this series and I can honestly say that Gone is the least enjoyable book out of all of them, and that is NOT a bad thing! I absolutely hate reading and the Gone series are one of the few series that I cannot put down. Simply put, Gone is amazing and the books in the series only get better. If you have not read this book already, then you need to buy it at once and read it!

7. What a waste of time! - This first installment of the part series is pretty good, but once u get to book three and the others these books get really inappropriate! As a teen I found them very offensive! Why do all teen books have to be filled with gore and sexual content?!
Cautions: sexual content, some language, violence galore, and bad role models, also lots of teen alcohol use
2013-07-17
8. Amazing book - I couldn't put it down. It has a riveting plot that keeps you asking question after question... and please, this is the first book in the series; it is a SERIES for a reason. I don't want all my questions to be answered by the end of book . That is what makes you want to read the books... so don't be dissatisfied when all your questions aren't answered.

9. Amazing book - This was one of the best books I have ever read. I started reading this on the car ride on the way to school and read on till the early morning. This book is so good that you will stay up late reading it. The story is written so smoothly that story seems to flow of the page. For those of you who are deciding if they should get it or not, this is a MUST BUY!!!!!!!
2013-05-29
10. Gone - It was a very interesting book one thing that I did like about it was that it was a mystery so if you like mysteries it was a mystery from the beginning. The only bad thing about it was that it did not tell the end of the book so you don't know the end of the book so that is disappointing! But otherwise I would recommend it to anyone high school and up!
2012-10-05
11. Too many flaws - This was a riveting book with many interesting plot twists. The concept is interesting, but the author has obviously not entirely thought this through. Why did the barrier form? Why did the kids disappear on their th birthdays? Why do they have powers? Why are some animals mutating? These were major issues that were never resolved. I was also disappointed in the language that was used. I understand that the author wanted the kids to sound like teenagers, but there were times that the author used this tone when describing what was going on. I felt that this was unnecessary and deteriorated from the quality of the story. Sometimes it even distracted me from what was happening. The last thing that bothered me in this story was the "bullies." it seems unlikely to me that a fifteen year old high school student would be so filled with hate and lust for power that he would kill and manipulate other children. I don't think that the author provided enough motives for his actions. The best explanation that we get is that he wanted to kill Sam before he disappeared (but he was almost positive he wasn't going to disappear anyways, right?). If you want a good action story and don't mind a flawed plot, then this is for you. Otherwise I would find a different book and save a couple of dollars.
2012-05-28
12. BEST BOOKS EVER - I read a lot of books and this is one of my favorites ,it is good for boys and girls. There's suspence, romance, funny parts, it always keeps you on your toes. I often find myself daydreaming about this book .they are long which is good because I read very fast and this took me a while. It is like the hunger games in a way. I sooooooo recommend this book to any age. There is no inappropriate content. I love Sam and Astrid together!!!!
