1. Read it. - Read it. Watching from Pudge’s perspective is such a critical point in the story. It wouldn’t be half as good if written from any other perspective. There is just so much to be said. As a teen girl, I found it meaningful for my generation. All I have to say is read it. (It’s a very easy read too)

2. First of his books that I read - I started this book when I was bored, mind that I don’t read for fun like ever. This book however caught my attention immediately and read in the span of days. Its beautifly written and recommend it immensely. I love all the metaphors and this book inspired me to find my great perhaps.

3. stars - You know those movies or books that are so good you don't want to watch or read another one because you know it will never live up to that movie or book? This is one of those books. I haven't read in a long time, but I got an urge to read and I'm so glad I picked this book! It's Ana amazing book I can't imagine who wouldn't like this book I defiantly recommend / even if you don't like reading. I usually don't do these reviews but this book totally deserves it! The characters are so relatable and you defiantly fall in love with them. Half way through there is a plot twist that made me put down the book but after a few hours I had to go back to it! Can't explain how much I love this book just read it! I promise it's so worth it

4. Best, Most Artfully Written Novel - John Green absolutely outdid himself with this novel. YA Lit has seemed to fall into gimmicky stories in the past several years, but every word of this book was beautiful. As I read I could not believe I was reading a modern YA novel by a fairly young author. It was just beautiful.

5. Pulls you in - I'm not an avid reader. I'll probably pick up a book every few months and hope to finish. But for me, this book had me hooked from the very beginning. It took me about a half day to read yet had me thinking for days later. I don't want to go into full detail about what happens, but just know you won't regret making this purchase. Well worth the money, and highly recommended in my opinion.

1. Loved it. - I legitimately do not know how to put into words how I feel about this book. To say the least I think it is a really important piece and it made me think. I cried hard and I cringed and winced and it made me feel lots of things I didn’t know a book could make me feel. Nic Sheff, I’m rooting for you. I support you and thank you for sharing your story.

2. life lesson learned - To pretend that Nic is your character through out the entire book with everything he had been through truly opens your eyes and your mind about what really goes down when you mess with the hard stuff. Emotional and life changing experience that a person would go through after messing with illegal substances and getting yourself into trouble with life and everyone you have ever loved around you. This book taught me some valuable lessons even though I would never personally do anything like to myself mentally, emotionally and physically but overall, this book truly helped me understood my mother’s addiction that she had went through before ending her life with alcohol poisoning and substance abuse at .

3. Great book - So, I’m a year old black girl from an urban city. I’m Christian. And I can honestly say on the outside me and Nic have NOTHING in common. I live in Ohio he’s across the nation. I tried to commit suicide and ended up in a psych ward for days. I don’t drink often or smoke or do drugs. I was just overwhelmed and hurting. I first read Beautiful Boy by his dad and I couldn’t put it down until I was forced to be discharged. I immediately purchased both books off iTunes when I got my phone back. I LOVE THESE BOOKS. I don’t know what reeled me in but I literally couldn’t put these books down. ESPECIALLY Nic’s version Tweak. It was so interesting to read about how human and normal drug addicts are. We all have the same issues, they just deal with them in a differently harmful way. Anywho I really appreciate this book and if Nic ever reads my review all I want to say is God is real, He loves you, He is covering you, He is allowing you to go through his to reach ppl like me that needed to hear a message about self love and self hate and coping. This is your gift and don’t think for one second it isn’t God given. Secondly, thank you for being SO open. Thank you for not skipping over details. The way you and your father wrote the book and I could piece together certain parts that he were about and parts you wrote about and get questions answered. Man I could go on and on and on.

4. A - One of the most captivating stories I have read in a very long time. Nic effortlessly conveys every emotion, hardship and experience he's been through giving you the feeling that you are right along with him running the streets. An excellent book that I highly recommend for any person; a perfect picture of the dark side of the world we live in without the filter.

5. Oh nic... - I loved this. I have read books on overcoming addiction before and it always hits me hard which is strange because I don't have any addictions but reading this just leaves me with the feeling that anything is possible. Not saying overcoming is possible but that defeat is possible also. Nic painted an amazing picture with his words and I feel privileged for getting to look into his life then his story. He's amazing and such an inspiration to everyone. Drug abusers and those who are sober... Wonderful job Nic, you really are something special and I don't even know you. Thank you for the read- I look forward to the next one.

6. Tweak - This is a such an intense, powerful book. I originally read this book two years ago and recently decided to purchase it again and I am so glad I did. Throughout the whole thing you are actually pulled into Nic's life as a drug addict and shown pain. Actual, deep pain. And honesty. As it starts out, it's hard to understand what exactly is going on or why it is going on. But Nic is able to quickly change that and begins to being you into his life. Nic Sheff is a talent writer and Tweak has easily become my favorite read. I highly suggest this book to anyone who enjoys a solid, honest story told through the eyes of an addict.

7. Excellent! - Brutally honest account of the author's real life descent into the nightmare of addiction. I could have done without a few of the gorier details, but that's not really a complaint as I do feel they were important in conveying the message; that there is absolutely no level to low for an addict to sink to get that next fix. As any morals or self-esteem they ever held evaporate, and even consequences become irrelevant, they will lie, cheat, steal, manipulate, even degrade and prostitute themselves, with zero consideration for anything, or anyone else. The harm they cause is not just to themselves. They devestate and destroy the lives of everyone around them, especially those who love them the most. The author details how he had everything going for him. In his teens, he was already a published author, had appeared in a TV commercial, and accepted at Berkley University with a perfect GPA--and even parents, who not only were financially capable, but also willing to foot the bill for his education too. As an addict, he threw all that away, to live in filth and squalor. Only after overdosing, at death's door, were his parents able to plead/beg/threaten him into signing himself in for rehab. His parents paid for him to attend some of the best treatment centers in the country, and he even completed their programs, only to relapse shortly afterwards, time and time again. The power his addiction held over him was just too strong. This is a good book for anyone who imagines they can use drugs, and stop any time they want. Every single person who has ever become addicted believed that too, until they learned otherwise the hard way. For those dealing with the addiction of a loved one, I strongly recommend first reading this story, as told from his father's perspective, in the companion book, "Beautiful Boy," first as it contains invaluable information to help explain the nature of addiction, and the deadly effects, not only on the addict, but family members as well.

9. Amazing. Couldn't stop reading! - This book is very realistic, heart wrenching, and intriguing. I fell into the world of Nic and his addiction, and couldn't put the book down the entire time. The way he writes, you can tell he struggles to remain sober but still wants to try and still has passion. He is human, and it is nice to see another side to the treacherous path of addiction, recovery, and relapse.
2011-04-06
10. Terrific - I work in the addiction field. This is an honest account of an addicts life. It doesn't much matter the drug(s) of choice, the addiction takes over and the addicts world is only related to drugs. Addiction is a disease of the brain and only when the brain can be healed, can recovery happen. Relapses do occur, but full recovery is possible.
2011-03-11
11. Loves it - Do you guys know any other books that are similar to this, other than Go Ask Alice and Ellen Hopkins series. I think this novel is excellent and properly written autobiography. It's shows the hardships addictions can put an individual through, no matter what there age. I think this novels brilliant, and I can only pray and hope God is with Nic now, guiding him. Nic also has a blog he does not update anymore but it has a series of post, that explain life after the novel. They're quite interesting.

1. pretty good second book - first mistake of mine was that I watched the movies firsts (just because of dylanobrien) but anywaysss the movie and the book are WAYYYYYYYYYY different and I had a hard time trying to understand somethings that were happening because i kept thinking of the movie. It wasn’t because i wasn’t interested in the book because i was % was i’d would always read it when i could it just stresses me so much how ( SPOILER ) how thomas and the other gladers find out that they are “immune” to the virus at the very very beginning of the movie and in the book they don’t even know it yet..now they do gives use a little hint at the end of book that something is up and that the some kids are “immune” but the characters don’t even know just the people reading the book.

2. AWESOME - Ok! I just finished this book in three days! And it’s worth it! The first book series I’ve gotten into! The first book was just like the first movie but this one is SO different, I kinda like it like that because it keeps you guessing. But definitely buy it! It’s such a good book and I give it completely stars!

3. Amazing - Ok at first I hated the book. But that was because I watched all the movies before reading the books, so I hated this book ( the scorch trails) because its nothing like the movie. But the ending tho! Really got me and now I’m hooked!! I totally recommend reading this book and the first one!! Now I’m on my way to read the death cure!!

4. - I would stay up for hours reading this book. I love stuff with action, this book had a lot of action! It ends in a bit of a cliffhanger, and that really annoys me but I can just get the third one. Some parts I was a bit confused but, I think it was on purpose so you will feel the confusion that Thomas is feeling. I love this book! It has some unexpected turns, that makes it so much more interesting. I recommend this book to people who like adventure and sci-fi. And like everyone. It’s very enjoyable! And Newt is the best and I got really mad that I barely read anything about him. Yes he is the best. Just my opinion. You can’t not like Newt. I’m also gonna make anyone I meet read these books. I would love for these characters to be my friends. I’m rambling on now. K bye! Have a nice day!

5. It was boring - I liked this book, but it was kinda boring, for me and not as interesting as the first one. I hated Brenda, and I was disappointed near the end of the book, but it was still a good book for me. If you’ve already read the Maze Runner then you definitely should read this book unless you like Teresa too much.

6. Amazing - This book has to be the absolute best book I've ever read. It's had so many cliffhangers, especially with me going to school I had to stop in the middle places I didn't want to... But I ended up getting through it. It had a lot of suspension and it kept me on the edge of my seat for sure. I couldn't stop talking about it to my friends, teachers, and family. And once I got done with it I was so happy to be able to read "the Death Cure". If you haven't seen the movie yet I suggest you read the book st because the book build up more Tension then movies do. Have fun reading the book! :-)

7. Great book (yet no answers) - The title I gave this review tells it all. Like most books that are part of a series this seems to pave the way to the next book. It has its own story. However, it's a big draw up to the short and abrupt ending. Still yet, I like the maze runner series so far. On to the next one! XxKRAZYxKBRAxX
2015-07-28
8. Better than the first! - Since I wasn't a big fan of the first book I had low expectations for this one, but wow, I couldn't stop reading! Of course it started a little slow, but it got more intense and disturbing and even scary (I read it in the dark at nighttime lol)! And again, the only thing I didn't like about this book is this fake-swearing. I tried to ignore it and it turned out to work. I'm definitely gonna start The Death Cure as soon as possible!
2015-05-26
9. Amazing - I read the first book in this series a while ago, and then I found this book. I definitely recommend the whole series of four books. This book is captivating and James Dashner makes us VERY mad at the end of the book because there is a cliff hanger. All endings aside, this book is a great sci-fi read.

1. Warning this may be a biased review, but it - There may be two reasons I might be a bit biased in my review of this book. The first is obvious, my grandfather wrote it. The second is, he wrote it about me. According to him, he wrote this book as an adverse reaction to my manners at the table. He described on a number of occasions to the press, to my utter horror I might add, a time when he was invited to my mother's house for lunch and witnessed first hand the atrocious table manners of his daughters first born son, who at the time, was years old. I don't actually remember this event happening, being five at the time, but I have had to live with this story most of my life. To say this traumatized me would probably not be fair, but it did affect my life in minor ways. Certainly it never helped having people observe my every movement at the table at every dinner party I have ever attended. They just sat there staring and waiting. Waiting for me to make some horribly disgusting and socially frowned upon move. Perhaps burp during the height of some interesting tale by a senator or governor, or worse, my grandfather..... or maybe even slurp down the dregs of my finger bowl, which was something I became particularly fond of doing! I am in recovery today and thanks to BTMA (bad table manners anonymous) and constant reading of my Grandfathers book, I can honestly say that I have better manners today. It is a one day at a time thing, like so many other programs of recovery, and I have to remember that at any time, I could slip and dive for that fork or spoon dropped under the table, or go back to my beloved finger bowl, but I try to live a civilized life today, I try. I think my grandfather would be proud! All kidding aside, this book is honest, short and to the point. It can be read with ease in a matter of an hour. It's humorous and direct and does not ask the reader to read a small dictionary to learn the basic elements of what good manners are. Rather, it is simple and straightforward. Now we all know there are hundreds of these books on the market and some do well and others do not. This book published in has endured, stood the test of time, while others have come and gone. Why, because it is so accessible. I have often pondered a follow up to this book, which I tentatively call Tiffany's Table Manners for Adults, and who knows maybe I'll write it someday. (One needs the blessing of the great institution and my pull is not what it used to be over there!) But I believe the world, and notably this country has lost, some of the simple things once taught by parents, that being plain ol good manners. Perhaps they are not learning them anymore. Maybe parents have little time in the rush of their daily lives to ensure these basic lessons are incorporated into their little one's lives. I don't know for sure but it shows in the attitude and behaviors of the young people I run into today. Perhaps there will be those that debate this but I think there will be those that will agree too. The book however is worth the money one might spend on it, there are no others that take the simple direct route to instilling what has all been lost in today's world, basic good manners, not only at the table but in every day life. JOHN HOVING P.S.I recently found out that the United States Department of State, specifically the Foreign Services Institute uses this book as a reference in their handbook entitled "Protocol for the Modern Diplomat". I thought this was a real tribute to the content and manner in which this book was written.

1. Great - I was hooked the whole time and it was a great story the end was the best because I thought Nikki was gonna get kicked out of WCD but... WARNING SPOILER ALERT... She doesn't and Mckenzie really was the one who wrote the bill And she sabotages Nikki so she gets to stay. IT WAS A GREAT BOOK OVERALL!!!
2015-01-01
2. Disappointed - The first two book were really good so I was really exited when the author wrote a third book. I thought it would be cool to get the enhanced book edition but the pictures just show up black. Some words are supposed to be on the blank pages so some of it doesn't make sense. I was really disappointed that I wasted ten dollars on this book that I cannot read. I hope that apple can fix this problem so I can get my ten dollars worth!
2011-06-14
3. Un-Enhanced Version - The book itself is great...my daughter is enjoying it. The problem is with the enhanced features...many of them don't show up (the pages is just black). And, the animations that do work are really slow. Finally, the page turning is a hassle (particularly in portrait mode)...swiping the page slides half way to the next page, and then you have to swipe a second time to see the whole next page, and then swipe a third time to go to the following page.

1. Not just for LGBT - This book was great. It was both funny and serious. It was very educational and answers many questions around the LGBT community. Many things that aren't taught by teachers or by parents that could be essential to know are here. It's not just for LGBT people, straight people who want to learn about the community and understand what goes on will find this appealing.

1. “Squee!” One of my favorite Diaries - To readers: This book was really good, and was one of my favorites in the series. Book , Not-So-Happy-Birthday, is also a really good one. This book is good for ages -. To Rachel Renée Russell: I really like your Dork Diaries books—whenever I go to the library I look for them. The art style is fun and inviting, and the stories are funny. I love parts with Brianna. It’d be super cool if she had her own series too. My little brother and I would love it! Oh yeah, by the way, I wrote a fan letter too!

And when Mackzie was in the garbage can outside the school, I was laughing so hard that I feel off my chair XDDDDDDDD!!!!!! By the way, good job for making this book Rachel reńne Russell! Your the best author! I have been reading dork diaries for: -hrs on Saturdays -hrs on Sundays! Your book inspires me! Even my mom likes it. If it weren’t for you, you wouldn’t be popular! But stars for the book! I like it a lot!!!!!! (๑ ᴗ )

4. Graphic novel is funny but light on content, long on drama. - Tween girls rejoice, another chapter in the popular Dork Diaries saga has arrived. It's fluffy, funny, and light on content -- just the type of brain junk food kids love. Author Rachel Renee Russell is slowly maturing Nikki in the series, and in this installment it shows. There's less emphasis on materialism, and Nikki shows more redeeming qualities, such as her creativity and ability to think on her feet. However, the characters are still shallow and underdeveloped. Offering kids Tales from a Not-So-Happy Heartbreaker is like putting spinach in brownies: It gets kids to do something that's good for them by wrapping it up in gooey fun. Kids love these books. They're a step forward for reluctant readers or a sweet treat for advanced readers. Parents will need to monitor and help introduce meatier books to prevent overindulgence in literary desserts.

1. Awesome! - I read this book years ago, when I was . I had read maybe books up until that point. Needless to say, my reading comprehension suffered. When my teacher assigned this book, I remember I couldn't put it down. All I wanted to do what keep on reading (which was common for me). I'm a reading teacher now and think I will use this text in one I my classes sometime soon.

2. The Pigman - I started to read this because it was my homework to read this book. When I saw the cover of this book, I thought this will be a terrible book. Actually, more and more I read, the story became so amazing! This book is so sad in the end, but still as you can see, I love to read books about misfortunate events^^ I really do! I have already read all of the series of The Unfortunate Events which is written by my favorite author Lemony Snicket. I really recommend this wonderful and misfortunate book for you!

1. Not a Kendi fan, but credit where credit is due. - Read this book recently to broaden my knowledge and better understand where people are coming from esp. those promoting CRT. I must admit, Kendi and Jason’s research is well informed and thorough - the books provides quite a bit of perspective. That said both are clearly very articulate and intelligent but found the writing quite a bore at times. I’m also hesitant to agree that Kendi’s assertion of racism existing today in a more sinister / evil form is true. Anyways, definitely worth a read - certainly more tolerable than listening to him talk if you’ve ever heard his lectures.

2. Insightful - When viewed per the title and purpose of the book, Dr. Kendi delivered on point. The research done behind the book and the narrative style is excellent, quotes from the professional reviews described exactly my journey reading the book, and overall time week spent. From my perspective, as I am not American, I gained a lot of insight about the problems in America, especially the religious aspect of it. Coincidentally, while in Amsterdam early last year, I read about their perspective of the May Flower as they celebrated this key event in American history, and the words chosen to describe the group is in clear contrast from American text. As with everything, there is always a different perspective, Dr. Kendi’s choices of tour guides in the book has accomplished that beautifully.

3. Luna, dear lord - Okay, I’m ashamed to be a fan of the same book series ( keeper of the lost cities) as some one who is as racist as you are. No one thinks all white people are racist. It’s just those people like you who are working hard to prove that theory correct. Also “ you have yet to see a white man threatening a black one on the streets”. Hey, the name George Floyd ring a bell? Say his name, because he is one of so many people of color to be victims of police brutality. What about domestic violence from mixed families? Oh yeah, those kinds of things happen too!!! White people have been privileged beyond belief, and there needs to be a change. White officers, believing that they can shoot to kill first, and ask questions later. People believing that just because their kid is white, that means they should have first choice into schools, and jobs. This needs to change. People of color are rising up, and that’s the best thing ever. Oh, and just so you know, I’m white.

4. I love this book - This book of a real life story has inspired me to give help to someone in need. You can see how just one dollar can change a life. Caitlyn changed martins life forever and I think we can say the same about her to. Without that assignment they would have never even met and right now Martin wouldn’t become what he is today. Give this book to a person to help them see the beauty of helping others. Student

5. Must Read - young adults and adults too - As an adult reading this heart-warming story, it makes me realize how a big world-view can change lives everywhere. The love that two pen pal strangers were able to share and extend to their families is eye-opening. There's so much good that can be done through simple contact and understanding. Hooray for Liz Welch for bringing this story forward. Everyone would benefit from reading it and embracing its message.

1. AMAZING - Sadie has such a huge heart for the Lord, and I love that. She pursues Him in all that she does. I haven't even read this whole thing yet, and I'm already loving it. Sadie is so transparent and honest!! There are a few questionable things she says, though that doesn't matter. We're all imperfect human beings, rescued by the perfect One. Thank you Sadie for such a great book!!!

2. Live Fearless - I’m impressed, refreshed, renewed and encouraged! I am grateful for Sadie sharing her experiences and insights so beautifully. It is evident that her life is dedicated to following God’s lead with sincere conviction and without compromise to her values, faith and trust in the Lord. He is clearly the lead in her life. Most importantly I appreciate the maturity and wisdom she has demonstrated in understanding “the Word” and being able to apply it in her life. Thank you for recognizing and sharing your true gift. I will share this book with many others, beginning with my year old Mother. Sincerely,

I haven't read this book but I'm sure it's really good. I am a fan
of Duck Dynasty though.
I just wanted to say that you are fearfully and wonderful made in God's image. So remember you don't have to compare yourself. Because there is no one else like you.
And I think you're beautiful. So does He. God bless whoever reads this review! And this message goes to everyone who reads it also.

1. Star-striking book! - THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! As soon as I started reading this book, I was sucked in. I couldn't even put it down for seconds! It took me one day to buy it and read it, that was just how star struck I was when I started reading. It teaches a way of life and making right decisions in life and how to live life to the fullest and never stop dreaming.

1. I can't wait! - Dark Tide is a great book! It actually inspired me to write a romance novel... I won't say to much. I'm only eleven, but I enjoy writing a lot. Dark Tide has drama, romance, some comedy, action, and POWER. the story was inspirational, as I said before, and I was very sad when I turned the page, and found that I was looking at not another chapter, but the acknowledgements. Very, very sad. Now I have to wait until the fourth book comes out. I can't wait! Ms. Donnelly surprises me with something new in each chapter! I can safely say, that this series is right up at the top of my scale with Harry Potter.

1. Fifty shades of gray for teens? - The book starts off as innocent and cute. You really get invested in the love story between Wren and Charlie. But as I read a few pages in things got... Weird. I mean I don't mind people having sex, but why the super detailed lengthy description? And after they do it, that's all it talks about is sex. I would suggest this to any lover of fifty shades of gray. And this is a warning for anybody who thinks it's a conflicted but cute love story...

1. Interesting - One of my favorites. - I initially read this book because I had to choose a biography for my English Honors class but I am so glad that this was the book I picked up. It tells the facts and descriptions perfectly through a story format. It did a great job on making the writing feel so personal and touching. Sandra’s story is not only heartbreaking and intriguing, but it also leaves you wanting to know more. I was never the type of person to read often but this was a book where I kept opening it every chance I had. This has become one of my favorite books. Her goal to let kids around the world know and hear her story has come true as I am only years old. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!

1. Most amazing book ever!! - I have read this book and just can't look away. It was very real and I love all the drama! From trying to be popular and hide her sisters death from everyone this is an amazing book. There is a character that works with the dead that the character likes. There is also a lot of drama with the popular girls. Her best friend post a video of her arguing right before her sisters death. This was an overall great book and you should read it!!

2. Can't Look Away - In the novel, Can't Look Away by Donna Cooner, Internet famous, Torrey Grey, goes through a many tough times. Having to deal with her sisters death and acceptance at a new school leads her through many ups and downs. She has to make hard decisions about friends and deal with the past. She has to face the fact that she has made some bad choices and can't go back and fix them. As I read the book I was really impressed. I felt as if I was in the book living the emotions. The book takes many turns, and some may even surprise you. Can't Look Away made me not want to look away and to try to find out what happens next. There is never a time that there isn't something interesting going on. When I turned the page for another chapter and saw the Acknowledgments I was almost in tears.

1. The most amazing series of books - The Pigman is the first book that one is pretty good. I would advise you to read it first before you read the second one even though you don't have to but, it shows the journey of the events in the story. The second one the Pigman's Legacy is an even better book it pulls you in the story by the end of the book I was crying, it was so good.
