2. The talent, the range, just amazing - I’m buying this album on vinyl because I love it so much. Bang Bang and all the classics complied and sang by a person like Lady Gaga, who is beyond talented, warms my heart. I’m so glad to have heard and see her do Lounge Jazz. So rich, so soulful. Thank you for this beautiful rendition of classics.

1. a beautiful album - yesterday I was listening to this wonderful cd with my mother whom has late stages Alzheimer's. and unable to communicate. Her love of music and dancing is something she responds to very well. My heart was breaking when she started to cry. I know she's in there somewhere and can comprehend the music. Even though she is totally dependent on me it warms my heart to know that something still makes her happy!

2. Big Fan of This Album - What a great combination. Two of the sexist voices in jazz vocals on one album. Great date music and superb selections for dinner party playlists. The only thing keeping it from stars is the semi-predicatble arrangements but Tony's and K.D'.s voices more than make up for it. Go for it.

3. What a Wonderful World - What a wonderful album. These are great songs performed very well. k.d. Lang and Tony Bennett's vocals are fundamentally sound, yet so expressive. The duo's approach is nothing fancy but is elegant in it's simplicity. What better tribute could there be to Louis Armstrong. There isn't much cutting edge about this collection of tunes, but there is no need to be. It has beautiful melodies, lush lyrics, two really fine vocalists, who were inspired by one of the the musical masters of the Twentieth Century. This is a very worthwhile record.

1. Regression Analysis - So much talent, but inexplciably she's not getting better, she's getting worse. This is a totally unnecessary and unwarranted live recording that fails to capture anything like her best performance. And it's great to mine the American Songbook for mateiral, but by God if you're gonna bring out chestnuts, have something original to say. Who produced this mess anyway? She's also doing the little girl fluttery voice that sounds like an undisciplined child banging on a piano, instead of an artist in control of an exquisite instrument. This is quite a fall off form Woman Child, with precious little to suggest a turnaround. NOT recommended.

2. The one jazz singer to break through - These are feast and famine times in the music business. The producers, copyright police, and the privileged elite among the hip hoppers i.e. Taylor Swfit, Bruno Mars,etc.) are good for millions while artists like Roberta Gambarini are subjected to "playing for the door"--even after her singular take on "Sunny Side of the Street." Salvant is an undeniable major talent with Ella and Sarah potential. But she would do well to trust the art of the Great american Songbook. Her take on "You're My Thrill" is close enough to Peggy Lee's (on the album "Black Coffee") to make me search out that warm version. Other tunes by Salvant send me to the standard by which which all subsequent versions must be measured. Sinatra and Nelson Riddle met the new technology of the LP with "concept albums" that tell a story of such compelling emotional truth and disarming honesty that the American pop song was transformed into high art. The challenge for every subsequent artist is to "serve the song" with the same integrity and respect. The performer who uses the song to serve his own talent may receive temporary plaudits but fall short of honoring the art.

1. Decent. - I don’t even care if I couldn’t understand some of the songs. Sitti’s voice is soothing. Filipinos are lucky to have a great artist like her. If she joined American Idol (if she could) she would have gone to the top or something. Love how I could understand what she's saying in english unlike other singers, she doesn't have that Filipino/English accent.

2. that may be true, but.. - sure her voice is kinda irritating (to some)..that may be because "they" haven't listened to the whole song..if you'd try it (listening to one of her songs, entirely), you may find it very soothing..although, i DO agree that majority of her songs selected for this album are somewhat "unwanted" by most listeners..but that doesn't change my opinion that SHE HAS A GREAT VOICE..maybe if she chose popular songs, it may even go timeless!!

3. The titles don't match the songs! - The order of songs is not conducive to the titles as they are listed...bummer! That said, I like Sitti's CD. I caught her live show in the Philippines - I must say however, that the Spanish and Portuguese languages aren't her forte. Very obvious in the way she pronounces the words in the songs. I think this deficiency lends to her not delivering the song as robustly as it should be. She tends to sound twangy when she can’t pronounce the words correctly. I still like Sitti however. If the world could accept half-talents twits like Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson, then the Philippines is certainly entitled to embrace one of their own – Sitti is, after all, not completely without talent.

2. Tremendous - I’m a huge fan of Sting and The Police. Normally, any jazz reinterpretations are pretty uninteresting and don’t even come close to the creativity represented by the originals. This album, however, is such a fresh outlook on my favorite songs that it is transcendence. I don’t know of anyone other than TSB who could take these songs, own it completely, and still retain the magic of the original tracks. You can listen to these songs casually or, like any other great jazz album, it can demand your full attention. Either way, it’s an incredible project. I hope that they do more albums like this.

1. Nearly Complete - Frank’s V-Discs were recorded for our troops fighting in WWII. There is a complete set out there, of three (not two, not twelve) V-Discs. The two discs here represent % of his V-Disc recordings. They are notable because in there was a recording ban from the musicians’ union, but these were an exception made to help keep our troops’ morale up. Frank has a -disc set of complete Columbia recordings, but none of these V-Disc recordings are on it. Hope this helps clear things up for people trying to figure this out, it is confusing.

2. Sounds Great! But Don't Think It's Complete - The review here talks about a collection of twelve discs, comprising Sinatra's career with Columbia records. Yet, only two discs containing tracks are represented here. Granted, the price is right, but if it is incomplete, ITunes should inform it's buyers.

Highly recommend her new album "Romance" there are albums on iTunes music store now. I can felt the passion and love from her songs. She defiantly put lots efforts on it. cause there are Mandarin songs in this album. It's not easy for her to singing in Mandarin. but she did it. maybe some of you can't understand Mandarin. just try to feel the melody, lyrics, beats etc. and image the pic in your mind.
