1. Does a Fine Job - This album is phenomenal for the price point. The magic of this album cannot be overstated, as it’s not only in the scores chosen but in the performance as well. There can be arguments over the timing of some of these pieces, but I believe this album gets it right. Could this have better if more musical geniuses were added? Sure, but this one does a fine job.

2. All you need - If you were ever curious as to some of the Classical Music that stuck in your mind from watching Academy Award winking movies...they’re all here. Apocalypse Now, Deer Hunter,Platoon and others. This album contains familiar tune my parents listened to growing up and it brings me memories. Lastly, if you really are not that much into Classical Music but want to know the most famous classical tunes to have at least semi intelligent conversation with someone, they’re all here.

3. Album split in - When I purchased this album it split into albums that separated tracks numbers , , , , , , and . I contacted Apple support and I was told to Redownload the album twice which did not work. I was then directed to an article of how to fix it myself. As a customer this is not something I should have to do. In my opinion the problem should be solved by Apple. I spent an hour with the Apple support session, grew tired of it, and did not want to continue it. I can still listen to the songs but the fact that my album got split in is annoying.

4. Great Start to Your Collection - Audiophiles can be picky over recordings and conductors of classical music. And if you are reading this, you are probably not an audiophile nor are you interested in reading something written by one. But if you like to listen to classical music every once in a while, this sets you up with some of the best known pieces. You can argue about what constitutes the greatest works, but just go out and buy the missing ones that you like. The price is great, the music sounds nice (see note about not being an audiophile) and you do get pieces. In sum, this should be one of the first albums that you buy on iTunes.

5. A Good Start - I recieved this album as a present my freshman year of High School. I was going to a performing arts high school and I wanted to listen to the pieces that my orchestra program was playing. The album did a fantastic job of showing me the surface of what classical music has to offer. Please note that this collection of works is not an exhaustive list. Allof the Symphonies that are on the album are just a snipit from it, or just a movment from the entire work. This is not nessisarily a bad thing, but I would say that if you get this album and find a work you like, do some more digging and get the ENTIRE work, because you may find something will stick with you forever. Note too that this is missing great works of chamber music, solo music, and leaves out many th Century composers, like Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, and Adams, which I think is a shame because I think that some pieces by those composers deserve to be in this Greatest Pieces lineup. Anyhow, great place to start, but by no means an exhaustive list of the fantastic works that may or may not be represented on this list.

1. Missing Tracks? - Just purchased this album. Tracks and did not download! Apple what gives? Amended review: figured out how to download tracks and the round about way. I am not an expert on music quality but my needs are simple so having Beethoven’s complete symphonies on my iPhone is just what I needed. So, this recording is just fine.

2. Magnificent Collection - Many years ago I had the vinyl -/ collection & same conductor, Krips. I've listened to the symphonies on my SOLO Sound System. I'm hearing crisp notes and the full range of exquisite audio separation. It's a great, wonderful collection from iTunes at a most affordable $$ cost. BRAVO June , UPDATE: I'm experiencing "distorted & garbled" playback Symphony F Major starting at : and thereafter. How do I contact iTunes to get a refund? Thanks

3. A grand set of the - These recordings sound superb! I had a few of the original LPs and these recordings sound as good to as the older vinyl records. I previewed the single symphony releases that were Mastered for iTunes and this collection of symphonies sound too close to separate for me. This is a great deal on great music by a superb conductor with a great orchestra! Compare the quality of the recording here to Karajan’s also on iTunes.

4. Excellent for work - This is an excellent vintage 's recording and is a ton of music for the price. Great to get through my workday. I see a lot of reviews talking down about this recording, and if you are an audiophile, professional musician, classical music connoisseur, etc.-- by all means go with a newer, pricier recording. But if you want a complete, good quality recording of Beethoven's symphonies by a very respectable orchestra to listen to on iTunes while you work, at a great price, this is probably the best one currently on the iTunes store.

5. The : stars- performances, price; stars- sound - Neither a novice nor an expert, I simply love Beethoven's symphonies and could not turn down the album at this price-$. a symphony basically. I burned it to several CDs to listen to in my car; the quality of the sound and the performances were not just acceptable, but quite good and excellent, respectively.

6. really really bad audio quality - Its horrible, don’t buy it! I deleted it as soon as i heard all symphonies. You can barely hear a thing! You have to put the volume up so high to hear the Piano sections that all you hear is white noise… Some movements are extremely slow in tempo which makes them really dull and boring, it takes out all the energy the piece is meant to have! For example the first movement of the fifth is just so slow! maybe its jut my opinion on this… anyway, the audio is terrible. Im being nice by giving them stars… this cd doesn't deserve it…. If you want a version with MUCH better audio and musical quality go give a listen to the album on iTunes with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Rene Leibowitz… the album is called “The Symphonies of Beethoven”!! I had to go and buy that album, so basically i wasted dollars on this!

7. Amazing AND great sound! - I really don't know why people have bad audio quality reviews? We have been playing this track on our Bose home theatre and it is just amazing quality! This isn't some cheap sounding list of songs... The highs and lows of the orchestra are just astounding, and for the price you pay -- for the quality/time -- is unreal. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Beethoven or orchestra or is looking for a different genre of music entirely. Very impressed with the package! Just what I was looking for.

8. Everything was great until the beginning of the th, Mvmt. - I have loved Beethoven since I was a young child, particularly the th movement from his th symphony. I practically know the whole thing by heart. That said, i was extremely disappointed at the beginning of this track. Listen to the sample and you will hear it too: there is severe pitch distortion. It is a tell tale sign that these performances were not digitally recorded. In addition, I found the German sub par (I work with many native German speakers) and the tempi waaaay toooooo slooooow. I plan on asking for my $. back from the iTunes Store and investing it a better quality recording of all movements.

1. Excellent recording for bargain prices. - Let’s say you’re developing a playlist and don’t want to dish out lots of money for some excerpts, or want a particular, well sung opera favorite, consider this/these collection(s). Excellent sound and artistry. It may not be the finest recording available, but it’s solidly good, especially for the price.
2019-02-15
2. Sub-par singers and poorly conducted pieces - Don't buy this if you are a serious opera lover. Few of the pieces are worth listening to. It's a waste of money, even at cents per song. The singers are sub-par and the arrangements are less than satisfactory thanks to poor conducting. The recordings lack richness and feeling. Just don't waste your money.
2011-12-20
3. No more Composer Display Problem - Quite a few of the comments cite a problem with iTunes showing the composers who wrote the various pieces. I just bought the album and they are all nicely shown under the "Composer" category; so it would seem whatever problem is now gone. Otherwise a very good collection.
2011-11-07
4. Phenomenal collection! Only cents per song! - I paid the value price of . because I wanted a small set of music that is in this collection -but... WOW - what a deal! SERIOUSLY ONLY CENTS PER SONG! I have found a multitude of old classic favorites - and some that I hadn't known about in this collection; for example, preview " Gymnopedies" and you will certainly want this on your device. It is tender and sweet, charming, relaxing, comforting. I am thoroughlly pleased with this collection and the price sure can't be beat for songs. Even if you're not 'into' classical music, you will most definitely recognize a good - of these pieces from the very first few notes, and when you discover the rest you will enjoy them too. Get it, you won't regret it. I plan to turn a few of these into ringtones and background music for a photo montage.

5. Great overview - but be warned! - I'm new to classical music so this is a great variety for me to start listening to, but be warned, you will not receive composer information with your download. iTunes will display the artist information but it will not show you the composer. I just got off of the phone with Apple thinking it was a technical problem but they told me that the album's record label has set it up this way. I'm not really sure why but all they could tell me was that they couldn't automatically include the composer information with the track downloads. Other than that its a great album.

1. Bargain price to listen to the greatest music of all time... - My hope is that this low price will entice those who do not yet know classical music will be willing to taste it due to to the incredible low price. It is truly ironic to me that the greatest music ever created cost less than a rap album. Studies have shown that Mozart's music makes you smarter or at least enables you think clearer...I've often said to my friends and family that you can't do anything stupid whilst listening to Mozart...I still believe that to be true, and my theory is that is is due to the vibrational nature of the universe and Mozart's music resonates at a very high level. Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto in his book "The Hidden Messages in Water" did research with water and found that water that was exposed to Mozart's music had distinctly beautiful and balanced crystalline structure when observed when frozen. In contrast, water that was exposed to hard rock or rap music had distorted and ugly images when frozen and crystallized. Remember, our bodies are water to a very high content...so what are you listening to? Get this album, or other Mozart's music and see how it will literally change your life for the better.

2. One song has errors, Apple won't allow redownload - I bought this album four years ago and every few months get up the energy to try and get it to work.. Song which is our favorite Mozart song, had an error about / minutes into it where it skips to the next song. My first attempt to fix this was to delete the song and redownload it, but this resulted in a working song that I could never get onto the same album again. So I have had Mozart albums, one with songs, one with one song. It is very frustrating because I just want to hear our favorite song randomly with the rest. I have spent hours trying to get Apple to help me. First it takes so long to find an actual contact at Apple, then they can't resolve the issue and just offer song credits rather then just deleting the album from my account to allow me to rebuy it or re download it. Very frustrating....

3. Great value! - I wanted some classical music to listen to while I sleep and this is great. I recognize some of the pieces, and being that I'm not a big classical fan, I don't notice some of the issues others have complained about. Where else can you get hours of music for less than $? If you're so into Mozart that you're going to notice truncated pieces then you might want to spend a little more money and buy something from an orchestra you already like.
2012-11-25
4. Great Collection - Where else can you get . hours of Mozart for $.? The songs are . GB of data. I saw another user stated it took them hours to download. It took minutes for me on a Comcast MB/sec connection. I enjoy hearing the familiar tunes, but the pieces that are new to me have also been great so far.

1. Not "Hit and Miss" - Arthur Rubinstein was considered the foremost Chopin interpreter of the th century. One can say "I don't like the way he plays these" or "For me it sounds too much like Mozart". But to say [Rubinstein] forgot that he was playing Chopin" is ridiculous. This album is marvelous, a joy, a wonder. Highly recommended.

2. Hit and Miss - This album is great and bad. This is a wonderful collection of Chopin nocturnes. However, it is missing a few notable pieces (like Nocturne in C minor P no. ; which he wrote for his sister). The collection is played by the world-renowned piano player Arthur Rubinstein who is wonderful in every way on the piano. However, he seems to have forgotten while playing Chopin that he was playing Chopin. The blurb about this album states that he plays them to "evoke the restrained tradition of … Mozart and Bach" THAT IS NOT HOW CHOPIN IS PLAYED. Chopin is a romantic era composer and plays his pieces with emotion and rubato to his work, not a steady clear rendition of Bach or Mozart. Because of the misinterpretation, I would have to give it a out of stars because even though the artist plays the music well, the full emotion is not captured.

1. Im Stunned! - I know every remake of "somewhere over the rainbow" ever done and this one makes me tear up every time I hear it. I will buy this album just to hear that one song for the rest of my life. thank you susan for the gift of your talant. Dont ever stop singing you make so much joy for so many.

2. Stunning - I'm so glad that Susan Boyle got her shot at recording! She has a truly angelic voice that stands up to other performers like Elaine Paige, her idol, as well as Sarah Brightman, etc. My only wish is that she would sing more contemporary songs like she did on her first album. Nevertheless, her voice is exquisite on this album.
2013-01-11
3. BRAVO!!!!!! - Beautiful. Susan.....you just keep getting better and better! Highly recommend this album. Update: Just listened to the complete album and I love it. "Music Of The Night" with Michael Crawford.....need I say more? Susan's life story just makes her songs even better. I don't pay attention to her critics, I know what I like and I like her. I have a musical background (over years) and she has a wonderful voice.
2012-11-21
4. Uplifting Experience - I feel strengthened after listening to this album. The music leads you through the ups and downs of life, while giving so much inspiration and encouragement. The last two songs perfectly cap it off, knowing you are not alone and feeling victorious in this journey of life. The selection of songs and their sequence is perfect, making it a complete and uplifting experience. Susan sings beautifully through each track and has amazing duets with Crawford and Osmond. This is her best album to date.

5. Beautiful music! - I've loved Susan Boyle's voice since she came onto the scene and have really enjoyed all of her CD's up to this point, and as much as I loved her last one, Someone to Watch Over Me, I think I like this one even better because of the variety of the tracks. You never get bored because they're all so different. They range from the soft and sweet to the powerful, and I think that it demonstrates more of what she's capable of.
She's continuing to grow as an artist.
The orchestration is beautiful and powerful where it should be, but it doesn't overpower her beautiful vocals. Her producer did a great job.
A lot of these tracks are my all time favorites from musical theater and the duets are incredible. I knew that Michael Crawford's duet would be outstanding and it didn't disappoint, but I was completely surprised at the beauty of the duets with Donny Osmond. He's a fantastic singer.
I can't choose my favorites at this time because I really love all of them. So often there are a few good tracks and the rest are fillers, but every track on this CD is a winner.
Not only will I recommend this to friends, I'll be buying several more copies for Christmas gifts.
Thanks for the beautiful music Susan! Please keep it coming!
2012-11-15
6. Absolutely Beautiful - This is the first of Susan's albums that I've bought. I had to have it for "Memory" and "Out Here On My Own" and an overall stellar collection of songs, but I'm also very pleased to hear that her new producer is pushing her voice to new heights, and showing more colors of her voice. She has never sounded better, and is very much at home with these songs. Donny Osmond sounds great, too. Highly recommended.
2012-11-14
7. Susan's Very Best - This album is truly the BEST of Susan Boyle. Wonderful choices of broadway's best songs. It's made even greater by having two of Susan's heroes performing with her, Michale Crawford and Donny Osmond. For my, this will be a musical Christmas gift to many friends and family. Way to go Susan!!!!! Keep it up dear heart.
2012-11-13
8. BEYOND SPECTACULAR - A Must Have - I mostly listen to pop music, I didn't think I would love songs from the musicals. How wrong was I? I love it, love the way she sings the songs with such emotion. The timbre of her voice is so addictive, warm and sexy. I will buy some more for Christmas gifts. An A album . Good job, Susan.

1. Favorite instrumental artists EVER - You guys are AMAZING being a cello player myself, I admire how quickly you play and switch notes. It is fantastic how you play so loudly! I haven't bought the album yet, but as soon as I can, I will get all of the stuff that I used to just use YouTube for!! Cello was the first instrument I learned how to play, when I was only , and that is when I first got into you. I highly recommend them as a party, hangout, or even study playlist, and they are amazing artists.
2016-11-16
2. Amazing!!! - I stumbled upon Cellos purely by accident and I fell in love immediately. The first song I heard was their cover of 'Human Nature' then 'Smooth Criminal', followed by 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and 'Fields of Gold' these are all songs that I loved in their original for so I equally love them (if not more so) in this uniquely beautiful instrumental form. I even began playing these songs in my PreK class room, especially during nap time. PERFECTION!!!

3. AMAZING!!! Never heard anything so good! - I first heard these guys when they opened for Elton John. He introduced them as one of the most amazing talents he'd ever seen! They came out and started off with typical cello music. THEN, the third or forth song was highway to hell! The whole audience was on their feet! AMAZING!!!
2015-02-09
4. Absolute Wonder! - Cellos - oh man! I first heard them on Pandora and was hooked with just one song. There is so much energy and emotion behind the music that's beyond anything else. Even the re-makes are glorious. The music is soothing and vibrant at the same time. I've always loved the deep sound a cello can give off versus other instruments. It feels so much more intense. I love Cellos!
2014-12-21
5. These Guys are Rockstars - Folks, these two gentlemen rock HARDER than any rock band on the market at this moment. It's not about sound/distortion etc it's about the feeling that transpires, and these boys GOT IT. Do you want to be thrilled? See for yourself. Buy this, borrow it, steal it (only joking). Just get it.
2014-08-26
6. AMAZING!!! - I've loved Luka and Stjepan ever since I first heard them. Their playing and the amount of talent they have is unbelievable, and I can only dream of possibly meeting them one day. Their classical twist on modern-day songs is one to be admired, and I will never stop loving Cellos! NEVER EVER EVER!!!!

7. Awestruck - Just saw these guys tonight with Elton John tonight in Seoul South Korea, they played U's "with or without you", "teen spirit", "highway to hell", it was just a blast to hear their sound. They also played on stage with Elton John and it really added to his already wonderful music. I had to have their music and I love it,

8. Magnificent - Haven't listened to the whole album yet, but I'm already impressed. These guys are able to capture the same energy and passion that the original artists put into their songs. Simply amazing. Plus it doesn't hurt that they did songs by my top favorite bands (being U, Coldplay, and Muse).

2. Amazing!!!! - I’ve been dancing practically my whole life, and the Nutcracker is one of my favorites!! The music here is beautiful. My one complaint is that the rd song won’t let me listen to it!!!!! In the store it shows I’ve purchased it but I can’t listen to it :/ Would be stars if it all worked. Other then that, this is a great soundtrack!

3. What the hell? - I adore the Nutcracker so naturally I bought it here on iTunes, except a bunch of some of the best songs don't work! All from Chocolate to the Dance of the Reed Pipes cut off a few seconds into the song. The rest work but the songs between and including those two are damaged like a scratched CD

1. A very good collection - Some of these collections can be so badly done and badly mastered - this one however, is worth buying. It has an excellent choice of the pearls of classical music’s adagios and arias and sacred music that you would want to hear - It is also a good calming, teaching tool for kids to listen to - these melodies are well loved and very popular. Great compilation!

1. BIG TROUBLE - Gabriel's Oboe This song is incomplete, sadly i didn't read the review before, I think a refund is in order or at least a better version without cost, because iTunes must choose carefully the music in the site. I try to get help from Support, but i don't know what to do. Somebody with the same problem?

2. Love Libertango - Wow, this album is one of the only that I have given five stars to. Very impressive, especially Libertango. It has a very dramatic rhythem, great playing, and a wonderful blend of instruments. If you enjoy tangoes or any dramatic music, this is reccommended. Well done, Yo-Yo Ma, well done.

1. Beautiful. - I remember hearing a young woman practicing Clair de Lune in Dawson City , the gold rush town....before it became so touristy. I have loved it since. I would have appreciated having a listen to arabesque when I learned it. That is a hard piece to play. Each hand in a different time pattern.
So, bravo! Lovely. Listen carefully, these are not easy to play.

2. Sleeping Dogs? - As a lover of music all types I was playing a video game and my wife and I heard this song playing during a scene in the game where you are brutally beating on other enemies with martial arts odd song to play during it but it kinda fits, the song also plays as you drive around Hong Kong in your car I bought this song after I heard it it is just beautiful.im also noticing this song was attached to those god awful Twilight movies sigh but hey it's all good

3. Wow - Oh my goodness. I love Rêverie I feel breathless when I listen to it all of these emotions come onto me and I match different words describing certain parts. I play the piano and I've wanted to always play this. Today I actually found the piece in a classical book I had so I'm going to try to play it! Wish me luck

4. Magnifique.

5. Debussy's Piano Works Beautifully Played and Recorded - It took me a while to figure out exactly why I liked this album so much, but I think it boils down to the delicacy of Thiollier's playing and the superb fidelity of the recording. The sound is warm, rich, and intimate, as if someone were playing in the next room. This is music that's meant to be savored, slowly and frequently. Enjoy.

6. Not As Good As I Had Hoped For - I love classical music and was looking for an album that would be great to listen at night before falling asleep. I bought the album based on the current reviews, hoping to be swept away. But sadly I was disappointed. The album is good, but not great. It's not a smoothing or relaxing as I had hoped for.
2009-01-03
7. Excellent Sound Quality - Some Pieces Too Slow for My Taste - This is unquestionably an excellent compilation of many of Debussy's best works for solo piano. The sound quality is quite good. My only reservation is on the artists's playing of Claire de Lune, La Petite Negre and some others that are, for my taste, played too slowly and with excessive interpretive license. A masterpiece such as Claire de Lune deserves a masterful performance, which is not to be found here. Certainly, many people will find it, and other pieces, played "just so" for them, but as for me, I have found what I wanted elsewhere.

8. Soothing yet intriguing - This C.D is excellent for someone who's looking for some relaxing music to calm them down and engage them at the same time. Honestly, it's one of the best purchases I've made from the i-tunes store so far. I'd reccommend it to anyone, whether they've listened to classical music for years or are just looking for something a little different.

1. Rip off! - Sorry everyone, but this is Nigel Kennedy's original arrangement of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons for violin from . Check out the original and then listen to this. He has the ability, but not the originality. That makes a huge difference in my opinion, especially if he's trying to pass this off as his own interpretation which it is not.

2. Simply Outstanding!! - As a musician and music student I typically studied and played jazz, and listen to an awful lot of heavy metal music, but lately my interests have expanded into classical-style music. And the four seasons, being one of the most famous classical selections, seemed a must-have. So after digging around iTunes for a time, I heard this performance was the best. I am not disappointed at all. A marvelous performance!! My favorite "season" is summer.

3. ???? - I'd have to say that Joshua Bell is pretty good but his style is odd and i don't like it, I've only listened to the previews of this album and others and they've been enough to make me cringe, which i probably why i have never really bought any of his music. Overall he plays beautiful but sometimes he adds a grace note or something and it takes away from the whole thing. One thing though that i do like him playing is Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto. But overall i prefer Hilary Hahn.

4. Listen again! - Why would someone with several well-loved recordings of the Four Seasons, including one by Seiji Ozawa recorded in her college chapel over years ago, want yet another recording? Joshua Bell, of course. Just one stunning example the first movement of the Winter concerto. Couldn't believe it - the almost human-voice quality of the first staccato passages; the absolute crispness of the fast orchestra passages; and the feathery pinpointedness and beautiful modulation of the violin solo. So glad I decided to listen to this great violinist and listen anew to this great Vivaldi piece!

5. Intense, Elegant, Virtuosic Performances - Breathtakingly wonderful performances of Vivaldi's Four Seasons which are outstanding and unrelenting in their intensity, paired with a minute exposition of Tartini's Sonata in G Minor for Violin and Basso Continuo (aka The Devil's Trill Sonata) which is a lovely, elegant, and virtuosic, the last four minutes of which are stunning.

6. Because he's an artist - There may not be, as one reviewer noted, much risk in this recording. It's not like Bell's other Baroque work, he doesn't deviate much from the proscribed "feel" of each season. But I feel that his artistic choice to do so is what really allows this piece to shine; he's not furiously trying to impress the listener with every note. It's as if he's meditating on the season in question WHILE he's playing. The violin is clear and crisp and energetic, and though the pace is less -- dazzling? -- than the Chang recording, the passion is there.

7. Nice! - I'm not an expert or anything, but before I heard this album 'The Four Seasons' had seemed to me almost like the stereotype for dry classical music. This is coming from somebody who loves classical music. So I was completely shocked upon listening to Joshua Bell and co.'s version. Every song in here hums with a truly evocative melody--the tone changes very effectively throughout, and it NEVER gets boring! The pieces for summer and winter were my favorites, but spring was fresh and fun while autumn seemed exactly as it ought to be. Autumn...y... So yeah, I say buy the whole thing! :) Traditional or not, it's totally worth it.

8. Simply Beautiful - I understand why so many in the new generation of classical artists are taking pieces and adding synth, electric guitars, etc, and while I can appreciate the creativity of this, I'm an old-school classical fan. It's nice to find such a high-quality, clear and masterfully played recording, played as it was written centuries ago.

1. Wow that was an intersection choice - The core of what you do is wonderful classical based music. The over engineered "shlock" masquerading as pop songs with vocals are beneath your talents. It's like listening to an excessively loud commercial on TV. If your going to make a kiddie pop album than please do so but call it what it is: don't make those of us who love your work as adults suffer through a trip to the mall with the kids

2. Love Story with Viva La Vida Undertones - Like some others, I fell in love with the Taylor Swift/Coldplay mashup online and was scrambling to find it on iTunes. While the Love Story track on this album is not that particular piece, it definately still shows the same concept. The song does not go full-force from Love Story into Viva La Vida, but instead gives us Taylor Swift with noticible Coldplay undertones. While I was really looking forward to the song I found online, this one is still incredible as is. I say give it a shot, and enjoy it with the rest of this amazing album

3. Woah. Amazing - The first time I heard about this album I thought it was going to be boring. But it's not at all! I play the cello and I get inspired to play songs like this and improve myself! This album is relaxing, fun to sing-along with, and great for concentrating. I love this album and the other albums made. They are phenomenal. I highly suggest this to someone who is interested in orchestral pieces. Great job Piano Guys I hope you get very successful.

4. Love Story/Viva La Vida??? - I LOVE the Piano Guys, you rock hard core. However, I bought the song Love Story, and when it built to the climax where it's supposed to switch to Viva La Vida, it didn't. And even though I knew in my head that it had said 'Love Story' not 'Viva La Vida meets Love Story' when I purchased it, I didn't really think about it. And when I went looking for it on iTunes, I couldn't find it. I hope it goes up soon.

5. Losing steam - Though not as creative or tuneful as earlier efforts, this album is still pretty good. Nelson's movement to the electric cello as his primary instrument is a tragedy (unless you like the synthetic 's sound). It looks cool, but lacks the rich timbre of its natural counterpart. Luckily, John has yet to trade his piano for a keyboard. Speaking of John, I thought he was relegated to accompanist in too many of the tracks of this album. The net affect of an increased emphasis on electric instruments over natural ones is a new age sound. Not what I would have gone for, but I imagine their record label is driving the bus now.

6. I have always loved The Piano Guys - About yrs ago when I first met The Piano Guys, I immediately fall in love with their music especially with the cello guy, Steven Sharp Nelson. So the result, it's my fourth time to buy their finalized album in iTunes with happiness. Thank you for giving me peace and joy while I am listing your music. XOXO

7. Fantastic! Best CD yet! - Love it! Has a lot of my faves! Kung Fu Panda, The Mission/How Great Thou Art, Let It Go...
Hope they stick to this music style of mash-ups & some hymn tunes, and don't start singing too much. Background vocals fine, but solos not so much and sort of feel out of place. I'm not hating...just my thoughts.

8. Always uplifting - If there’s one thing I love about The Piano Guys, it’s that their music is always so uplifting! I’ve been listening to Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson since well before they were officially “The Piano Guys,” and I’ve always enjoyed their music. The fusion they create, the intensity with with they play their respective instruments, and their ability to take a song that we may already know and completely transform it is what really makes me admire them. So far, I’d have to say this album is no different. The songs are expertly crafted, and wonderfully played. There’s a great variety as well. Transitioning from “Because of You” with it’s upbeat tempo and feel to “Pictures at an Exhibition”, which is a complete degree turn to something calmer and smoother (at least at first) is just another reminder of the breadth of talent these guys poses. Whenever I’m feeling down, I know I can always count on TPG to provide some uplifting music and videos. Thanks for the hard work you put into this, guys!!

1. Amazing deal for anyone. - Not only is this album super affordable considering the sheer volume of music you’re getting, but the recordings are very good quality as well. I haven’t yet heard a recording that made me think “why did they include THIS one??”. This album also has really well-known pieces which are representative MANY periods of classical music, from medieval to late romantic, if not later. I can’t recommend this enough. It’s cheaper than most classical albums that are out there, and the quality (and quantity) of this product is something that you just won’t find anywhere else for the same price.

2. I LOVE IT. - I thought by the longest way that this music was the best classical item on the Itunes. It is a good item to play your homework to, and having lots of that I do. The price it is also perfect. Sorry if saying I have been things different, for I am using a translator, and I speak not the language of the Americans.

3. cents a song?! Why would you not go for this?! - The only collection of great classical music I had before this was from a college course, but all of them were split up to show the different movements in classical music. These are all complete songs! Some really well known, you may say overrated, and some composers who are usually overlooked but every bit as wonderful. You won't regret it, I promise!!!

4. A No Brainer - At $. for hours of great performences of a large variety of the greatest music of Western Civilization, I'm hard pressed to think of anything negative to say. Not everything is perfect (eg, the performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons felt a bit lifeless to me) but there's so much here that's so good that I really must recommend this to everybody, everywhere.

5. Good set, great price - This is definitely worth the money. These aren't the definitive recordings according to classical snobs, but they are a good introduction to many of the works. There's an error in the track listings, however. References to the "Masquerade Suite" in tracks to should be "Carnaval for Piano."

6. Generic classical listener..... - I am absolutely not a classical connoisseur....just a run of the mill, once in a while classical music listener. And yes, I bought this CD by the law of averages (how many out of items can be horrible for under $.????)
And yes, I heavy handedly deleted.....I kept .
And yes, of them ended up in my playlist.
The varietly is amazing! It covers many gendre.....some you may like, some maybe not.
Even if you have a "basic" collection.....this CD still delivers.
Overall this CD is definitely worth the money. And it is exactly what the title says: A PERFECT start!

7. Good deal but slightly disappointing - Yes, hours of music for approximately $ is a good bargain. While this collection is large and has some very good pieces in it, I was slightly disappointed with the amount of vocal work in it. Many pieces (or all, possibly) of "Messiah" are in this collection and the majority of them seem to be choral pieces. I was looking for INSTRUMENTAL-only, orchestral music. While there are quite a few instrumental-only pieces on here, there are far too many choral pieces for my taste. Overall, it's a bargain and has a fair selection of music; however, I'm disappointed with all the singing in this collection.

8. How could you not? What a deal! - I don't know if the folks at Naxos are geniuses or just plain dumb for putting out this collection of classical music for bucks providing hours and hours of top notch recordings for pennies a piece. I went searching for one particular work and came up with this offering. Did I need every selection? No, but this is a GREAT collection and range of classical works spanning genres and types of ensembles. Probably could have done without the Rimsky-K and the ENTIRE Messiah, but the Messiah recording features the sublime New College Choir of Oxford and so is definitely worth owing on its own account. Bravo Naxos!!!

1. A mediocre rendition of a great work - I love the messiah, but I found myself yawning when listening to this version. Its banal interpretation and plodding pace rob it of much of the fire, urgency, and joy that I love so much. I would recommend spending a few extra dollar to purchase Christopher Hogwood's version.
2015-12-12
2. First review I have written... - Let me just say I have considered writing reviews before, but I couldn't resist this time when I saw this album was only dollars. I puchased it around a year ago and forgot it was so inexpensive, especially considering the number of times I have listened to it. I have heard many versions of the most notable songs on the album, such as the Overture, Hallelujah, and I know that my redeemer liveth and I have yet to hear a better recording. Truly the best dollars you will ever spend.

3. An underwhelming experience. - I must mention that compared to other Messiah performances, this one leaves a lot to be desired. While the Philharmonic does wonderfully, the vocal part is simply underwhelming. The choral texture is rather muted, and while the soloists are acceptable, the tenor is simply something that should not have happened: His voice and interpretation have "Milquetoast" written all over. Overall an unexciting rendition. Susskind's conducting is old-fashioned, which in itself is not a bad thing as it is quite faithful to the earlier conceptions of Baroque performances, but the vocal instruments under his conduction are simply not up to par to deliver a satisfactory performance.

4. Even if you have other performances - get this one! - Beautiful. One of the best renditions of the Messiah I've had the privilege to hear. I try to catch a performance every year here in NY, and now I can listen to it anytime and feel like I'm in the concert hall. The majesty and passion are all here. Just wonderfully done.
2007-10-07
5. Great Work, not that great recording - Handel's Messiah is one of the best works of music, but the overall produs ction of this record wasnt great. The sound quality stank, and none of the instruments or singers were all that impressive. If you want a copy of Messiah, try Academy of Saint Martins-in-the-fields, or the London Symphony, but at $. for this, you cant beat it.
2007-04-19
6. Times have changed - This is a rather tired version of Handel’s oratorio performed by a fully employed London Philharmonic Orchestra. This is definitely NOT a version for lovers of the early music movement. The recording is peculiar because the balance is such that you may think you are actually sitting inside the harpsichord, the only period instrument to be found here among the welling violins. This recording should be purchased if only to remind us how greatly musical tastes have changed in the past years. A better bet would be to spend the extra cash for Christopher Hogwood’s, pioneering recording with the beautiful Carolyn Watkinson, soprano and a proportioned orchestra with period instruments. Better yet, why not spring for “Hogwood Conducts Handel’s Oratorios” and discover some additional music you may find just as moving and lovely!

7. The London Philharmonic and the best of Handel. - Plan an evening in front of a warm fire. Re-familiarize yourself with the subject matter (possibly read Luke chapter and Isaiah and from any Bible) Then, sit back and enjoy the history, passion and hope of this amazing story. The London Philharmonic performs the very best Hanel's Messiah in my opinion. This is a special value. Worth many times the price. Enjoy.

8. Of course there's a choir, silly! - Not sure what that other person was listening to, but it obviously wasn't this...This is AWESOME, choir and all! I only wish I would have had this a few weeks ago. Our tiny church choir, which I am a member of, is singing a few of the pieces and it would have been nice to have this to practice with. Oh well, I'm going to download it anyway...there are still two more weeks of choral music from this that we have to sing. Not to mention it's a wonderful symphony to listen to this time of year.

1. If you like this stuff, actually get your pastor to use it during Mass! - I was going to write an emotionally loaded rant about how everyone loves to buy gregorian chat CD's to "meditate", but when someone wants to add a little Latin to the Mass, they're denounced as unprogressive, but that's best left for a message board. Having said that, I refer you to the title of my review. As for the CD, can't complain really. It's well executed, but suffers from the same flaw as most Gregorian chant recordings: too much reverb. I studied Latin for three years, and while I can't hold a conversation or read Cicero, I can tell what someone is saying (or singing) more or less. However, it seems like all of these chant albums are recorded in a cathedral or something. I can't say that's a bad place to do it, but I just can't understand them, and I should be able to, given that everyone is singing the same thing (it's monophonic). It's a great album nonetheless, and, like a lot of these sacred music CDs, you can't beat the price for the amount of music you're getting! In conclusion, as mentioned in the title, if you actually find Gregorian chant spiritually nourishing, ask your pastor or music director to get it in during Mass, and show him what Vatican II REALLY said about Latin and Gregorian chant!

2. Not a single jarring note - This is a wonderful CD - always in tune, very soothing and uplifting. The beauty of the simple melodies really shines through. I've found it's perfect for meditation, sleep, or just chilling out. Also, in my opinion, you don't have to be of any particular religion to enjoy this music. It transcends religions and affiliations. Enjoy!

1. Well, dammit! - It’s hard to believe Yo-Yo Maw consented to the shockingly abrupt cut-off at the end of “Gabriel’s Song.” Why would the producer permit this, then proceed to charge money for it on iTunes? A savage muck-up of gorgeous music. I’d give stars for the performance but star for the execution, hence my -star review.

2. Beautiful - Wow. Yo-Yo Ma is brilliant. When I listen to his music it clams me and makes me cry at the same. His music is out of this world. God has blessed us with a truly wonderful gift of Yo-Yo Ma. Thank you God for Yo-Yo Ma. This album is a must for any Yo-Yo Ma fan. Just listening to it makes me cry because it is so gorgeous.

3. Beautiful Score, Horrible Formatting - This album is the epitome of timeless; a combination of the iconic works of cinema/television with compositions by the Italian composer, Ennio Morriccone, accompanied by world-renowned cellist, Yo-Yo Ma. Such a meeting would only result in a love letter to anyone with an ear for film scores. But let the buyer beware. To get to most from the album, please purchase it in full, and please refrain from using shuffle. Most of the works in this album transition to another, akin to a live performance. Such formatting results in awkward cuts, and random skips.

4. Ennio is a Genius! - And what are all you reviewers talking about with the tracks stopping midway, etc?
I've never experienced any of these probs and I purchased the album over a year ago. Whatever.... Wanted to say something positive amidst all this negativity that I'm reading. Ennio's music is awesome. Totally immersive emotionally. Pick a topic any topic and he tells that story beautifully. "Western"? Got it. "Love Story"? Got it.
Need to emphasize the script's words? He's got it, and he does it without words. And he is always able to add to our hearts not just the emotions that our eyes see on the screen but he adds to that emotional impact with the sublime sounds our ears hear as well. He nails it time and time again. His musical gift is extraordinary.
Glad and lucky to have heard his work. This "remix" with Yo-Yo Ma is an exceptional reminder as to what happens and what is capable of happening when two great music masters join forces.

5. Perfection! - What a fantastically beautiful album this is. And as for complaints by other reviewers at to certain tracks abruptly stopping in the middle of their respective cuts. The answer is really quite simple, that is what movie scores do. Remember, these are not symphonic pieces, but music scored to the action of these respective films...
2014-12-08
6. Where did half the music go? - Love this beautiful music. Ma is an incredible talent, the music is gorgeous and haunting. But there are FAR too many tracks cut off in the middle, I feel like I got ripped off, half the music is missing! It would've been a beautiful collection, if it were all there. Shame on you, iTunes!
2013-04-08
7. Gabriel's Oboe - Yo Yo Ma is incredible, however I know for a fact that this track ends abruptly by about seconds minimum. I also tried a similar track of this song in the iTunes selection and it was exactly the same and I was still charged the cost of the single. Just saying, such a beautiful song and then it's like the song didn't finish correctly. Boo!
2013-03-12
8. Sloppy Tracks - Beautiful music wonderfully performed but a real hack job in the end of the tacks. The music abruptly ends. They could at least do a bit of a fade out. Or warn you that the album need to be bought in whole for the sound not to be cur off. Kind of like eating an exquisite piece of chocolate cake and finding a bug in thelast mouthful.

1. Clarification - Personally, I prefer Escala’s style and renditions better than Bond. Also want to correct one other reviewer. Palladio is based on the concerto written by Welsh conductor/ composer Karl Jenkins. Allegretto is the first movement of that piece. Escala does a great job with it. Sephira, also a female violin team do a very good rendition as well. Many songs get covered by multiple artists. I’m more interested in what they do with it. It takes nothing away from each artist. I’m extremely happy the violin is making a comeback and I love the classical crossover genre.
2022-09-02
2. Modern Classical the way it should be - First time I heard of this band was on Pandora. It played "Requiem for a Tower" by Escala, and I became enamored. Doing a little research led me to iTunes, and I read the reviews for Escala. Most people on here compare them to the band Bond, and I can see why. But I think that's an inadequate comparison, due to Bond being more Dance, and Escala being more Classical
Escala should be along the lines of David Garrett, whom I also recommend looking into if you're into Modern Classical.
2013-01-07
3. The Simple Truth Is.... - Escala is the best because it seems that they manage to perfect every song they perform. Unlike BOND who seem to forget the power of their string instruments and allow them to be overpowered by pop instrumentals, Escala has an amazing sense of balance that allows them to have their songs sound modern while still retaining its powerful classical sound. Escala deserves the attention they get because their version of their favorite songs are in truth, the best version of many of their favorite songs. The music they make is nothing short of epic. I could care less if this group of four are merely performing other's songs, what I care about is that they are making these songs better than ever. I doubt I'm alone in my desire to see their second album.

1. Bad quality recording - The price was too good. I had to give it a try. You get what you pay for. I think there is a problem with the recording. On the sudden loud dynamic areas, there is alot of distortion. I first listened to it in my car so I though it was the factory quality car speakers but I then tried it on my higher end headphones and home system and it does the same thing. "Fur Elise" is particularly bad. I tried it with my cheap $ earphones with limited dynamic range and you don't hear the distortion.
2017-10-05
2. Nice collection for entry-level listeners-- but ost Classical works cannot be described as "songs" - Can't iTunes come up with a more accurate and adult way to describe downloadable music? Why not call them "tracks" or some other genre-neutral term? Not all of your subscribers are -year-olds with -word vocabularies and only one adjective -- "awesome."

3. Some of the best - This is truly some of the best music of LvBeethoven. However, it's not entirely the best performances. If you are new to Beethoven, this is a perfect album for you and at the price, it's so worth it. I will say, this is NOT studio quality performances. It's live stage performances so you can hear pages turning, seats shifting, breathing, coughing, etc. in the background from time to time. however, it's still top notch.

4. Beethoven - I LOVE the music! I listen to it constantly and I'm very impressed. The price is amazing and iTunes have really outdone themselves! My only problem is that when I downloaded it to my iPhone, I got copies of the album. I'm not sure how to delete of them and I would appreciate this fixed, however overall I recommend this album to anyone who has the slightest interest in music. It really is phenomenal!

5. Powerful collection of an immortal composer - This is an unbelievable collection of some of Beethovens most iconic pieces, including all nine symphonies. The price is simply unbeatable. 1. Great selections, but you're missing the whole piece and the recordings are mediocre - How do you think they were able to license this much music for so little money? Most of these are subpar recordings from third-rate sources, and you're not getting the whole piece, just a movement from each. This is a great way to get introduced to Mozart, and find the pieces you like the most, but PLEASE support classical music by buying the full versions of the ones you like from high quality recordings. It would be terrible if what little classical music industry is left should die because people will only buy low quality stuff on these cheap compilations.
2009-10-18
2. Wow! the master at work - I have long been a fan of classical music and inparticle Mozart. This album fully captures the essence of an amazing talent. This is not only great for expert listeners but for the novice as well. I fully encourage everyone to relax, close your eyes and think back to those "classical" simpler times. :-)

3. Quality, Quantity and Mozart! Oh MY!! - What a great Value for a Quality Album. Tracks of Mozart for such a small price. The variety of Mozart pieces on one album is amazing. It was nice to hear Mozart's genuis throughout the Operatic tracks; as well as, the Symphonic pieces. I suggest everyone grab this one.

4. The Best of the Best - The recordings are crisp and vibrant and the selections really are his most essential works. I listened to the entire tracks non-stop and it was so enthralling that I lost all track of time and awoke from my trance with a real sense of contentment. It would take a lifetime to travel the world to hear so many of the most renowned orchestras ever, all performing the works of a grand master like Mozart.

5. easy to listen to and good quality to my ears - The Most Essential Mozart Masterpieces are easy to listen to and are good quality to my ears. I recommend this collection if you like to listen to and enjoy this genre of music. There is no question about the beauty in Mozart's music. You can't go wrong with Mozart's wide variety of compositions. I tend to like Mozart anyway and this was an awesome way to indulge in a large collection of his work for my budget.

6. Wonderfully Heart Warming Collection - I was turned on to Mozart by a now deceased friend several years ago. He had five Mozart records and played them from time to time during dinner parties. I didn't know the names of each work but they were so beautiful. I am amazed to have finally found a collection that not only contained every one of those particular works I had fallen in love with, but an astonishing in all! I'll be listening to this album over and over. Especially those tracks that remind me of that wonderful friend I once had and lost.

Amazing - these guys are amazing, I've been playing piano for years and never really got that far because I didn't enjoy it, it seemed like a chore to practice, but these guys have inspired me to love playing the piano, and I'm going to take cello lessons sometime soon hopefully, and also hopefully be a musician for a full time job. you guys should do O Danny boy sometime, it's a great song

Again The Piano Guys Don't Disappoint!!! - Mile High Salute to The Piano Guys, all are awesome tracks, I can't even begin to comment on them but the one that stands out the most to me in my opinion is track ....'Rockelbel's Cannon (Pachelbel Canon in D).....the best track of the album and one if not the best renditon I have ever heard period.....

4. Piano Guys - I absolutely love the piano guys. I was looking at the album and then i decided- What the heck ill just get the deluxe version My only problem is that on a couple of the music videos there is a slight lag The music starts before the video and it is out of sync for the rest of the song It bothers me- especially on waterfall- but it is so awesome i give it five stars anyway because if i could i would give it six I love berlin and rochelbel oh and charlie brown and waterfall and all of me oh and i can't forget me and my cello- heck i just love the whole album I looooooooove music because of them they are AWESOME

5. Great instrumentals - The Piano Guys is a very great symphonic album that combines pop music with classical music, Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson really are amazing on their instruments (Piano and Cello) and create an amazing sound. I highly recommend buying this album, I would even say it is stars not . If your just looking for good songs though I recommend "Waterfall" and "Lord of the Rings".

6. Beyond expectations - I don't remember when it was the last time I have listened to an entire CD times in a row. I think I was a teenager when that happened. That said, the most spectacular album I have listened lately. Flawless. Unique. Berlin is the most elevating and addictive music of this album. I jus L-O-V-E it!
Thanks, Piano Guys for sharing your inspirations and creations with us.

7. impressive - This is possibly the best new album on the whole list. The music is inspiring, true, and tremendously creative. Myself being a classically trained musician, it is wonderful to hear this kind of work being produced. Putting a new edge on it by playing newer music is especially refreshing. Great job Piano Guys, i hope you never stop your imaginiation!

1. Won't be bored - Yeah, I'm huge into R&B/Pop/Rock&Roll. Always respected classical music but it always bored me. But these songs are perfect. Just the right amount of diversity to keep them fresh. And there are parts every song that are just incredibly emotional. If you aren't into classical music, but you love music in general, get this.

2. What you get is what you deserve - I'm not a big classical music fan. My enthusiasm is on Pop/Rock/R&B/Singer Songwriter type of music.
But the songs in this album are all SO popular and you will not be let down by the songs on here. I don't know what type of the music you guys listen usually, but is't that nice to have at least ONE good album of laidback relaxing vibe?

3. Synthesized Voices - you - The playing is exquisite. The clown who decided to put the synthesized voices behind "Moonlight Sonata" and a few of the other songs should be working at a Pizza Hut just about now if there is any justice in the world! The time would have been better spent telling the names of the musicians/groups that performed each piece. It makes it sound like a Vincent Price movie. I was wondering why it was under "New Age" music.

4. Absolutely Beautiful - Who wouldn't give this album five stars? It is a true work of art that deeply touches your heart and soul. Great for relaxation, studying, or just to listen to. I, myself are a big Blues and Alternative fan, but when I heard this album I couldn't believe how much it touched me and I suddenly fell in love with New Age music.

5. amazing :) just wish beethoven wasnt mostly listened to - this is an amazing arrangement. every song is deeply emotional. i wish people would stop listening to the most popular songs like beethovens moonlight (although it is quite beautiful) and listen to songs less well known because if you expand your curiosity farther than what popular sets limits to, you will be amazed and awestruck to find beauty in the unknown. overall, album is romantic and hits me on a heartfelt spiritual level that will guarantee to amaze anybody far more than any of this rap crap out there now. Beautiful...

6. So Much Better Than Expected! - I read a review on another site that said that the sound quality of this recording was poor. Well, I guess I don't know good sound quality because I think this recording is great. I, personally, prefer Thiollier's version of Clare de Lune (from Debussy: Clare de Lune and Other Piano Favorites) to the one here, but that still does not take away from the pure beauty of the album/CD. BTW, this is not my usual genre of music, but I listen to it at least twice daily. It's very calming.

7. Relaxing and wonderful - I love this music, as I do many other types of music. I think those who already knew of songs such as Claire de lun before it was featured it Twilight should be glad that those who have stumbled upon it now are appreciating a type or a new sound if music to them. I saw keep exploring!
2010-01-04
8. Classics - The only songs that I listen to are good songs. But by good, I don't just mean good as in, fine/OK, by good I mean they either a) make you think OR b) make you want to get up and dance This CD does make you think and added another something to that tiny little list up there. If you think that this was a good CD just click yes.

1. This is Christmas - I'm in team NotADancer, but I'm oh so thankful for the tribe TeamDance and for this fantastic album. This is on heavy rotation in my house during the holidays - the Royal Phil is the best, and the memories of all those Nutcracket ballet performances dance in my head. So wonderful!

2. Complete! - What a pleasure to find the complete Nutcracker musical score! I've been disappointed many times over the years purchasing what turned out to be highlights CDs. This is the real, complete score that takes me right back to my childhood, sitting right next to the orchestra pit during live rehearsal while my brother danced and Mom helped backstage. I never participated in the actual performance, but I sure loved to dance to the music at home. Bliss!

3. A Great Addition - I fell in love with the Nutcracker as a little girl. While not a dancer, I still am enthralled with the ballet and am thrilled to see a recording with the ENTIRE ballet score! I’ve got several other recordings that are only highlights of the piece—and this recording blows all of those out of the water! The Royal Phil has done a wonderful job of executing the emotions and excitement of the story of the Nutcracker. Any and all who have loved the story before or are just now getting familiar with it should buy this CD! It’s a great addition to your collection!

4. Brilliance! - I am NOT a dancer! Take that, reviewers! I'm a bit of a layperson when it comes to ballet, but this year I came to the realization that the CD I upload to my computer is the highlights album. I haven't seen it in ages and I forgot many of the songs. I am just re-establishing myself with them. I fell in love with Nutcracker when I was . The ABT movie. But anyway, all of these songs are properly paced, as opposed to the version iTunes is promoting as an essentiel.

1. Aaron Graneto - This is a great album. The Piano Guys gracefully and musically embrace ingenious spins of rock and world music rooted in simple, blissful melodies. The piano, cello, drum and voice make this album a complete relaxation and rock-out album for the whole family. I enjoyed the album at five stars on the first listen!
2013-12-03
2. Fresh Arrangements for Classic Christmas pieces - The Piano Guys do not dissapoint. Time and again, their albums bring fresh and very artistic takes on classic and popular songs. Christmas music is my favorite and I enjoy both the traditional and contemporary. I appreciate their musicality in this album (and the others) and love the fresh new spin. They eat, sleep and breathe music and I love watching how much they ENJOY playing. This is a great deal for both songs and vids.

1. BEAUTIFUL - Anyone can play an instrument but to deliver a message in every single note is nothing but beauty. I can’t explain to you how amazing the sound is because its simply a feeling you get from listening. Not everyone will understand and hear the same sound but if you get the chance to close your eyes and embrace such talent you will appreciate and be thankful for what Kevin has given us. His delivery and passion goes through your ears straight to your heart.

2. Exceptional musicality - I stumbled upon this album, and am so very glad that I did. This artist's musical talent is incredible, and the manner in which he is able to coax such beautiful sounds out of his cello sets him far above many other cellists whose music I have heard. The added bonus of beatboxing, which adds such an exceptional dimension to this already amazing music, is a welcome surprise.
I look forward to hearing more musical offerings from Mr. Olusola, and (selfishly!) hope that he is able to produce them soon!

3. Speechless.. - Hi Kevin! I don't know if you'll see this or not but I just want to thank you. Over the past year I have almost fallen "out of love" with being a cellist because of depression and things I deal with that cause me to lose interest in things not matter how much I love it. But listening to you play and see you preform with pentatonix has re kindled my love and passion for playing cello. I'm sure you've heard this many times before, but you have an amazing gift, and how you are sharing it with the world is amazing. It truly touches so many people in ways that only you can relate to, but will truly never understand. You are truly one of a kind...never change that, good luck!

4. Classical Crossover - Please note this is "Classical Crossover," not Classical music. Kevin uses a Classical instrument and mixes it with the Pop genre. It is nothing short of pure genius, but don't down vote this amazing EP, because you don't understand the difference between Classical and Classical Crossover, as this is properly labeled.

5. Amazing as always - I know most people will come because he is in PTX. But he is so much more than just a great beat boxer. I have seen him play his cello live and it's wonderful. I love this collection he has put out and my year old daughter even ask it to be added to her music she listens to at bedtime.

6. Unique. Cool. Great music. - I could have just listened to this on spotify but I loved it and wanted to support this guy. How often do you see anyone doing something unique and synthesizing diverse talents like beatboxing and playing the cello? Artists that take risks and make great music should be supported. If you saw this guy playin on the subway you'd throw him a couple bucks into his case...So, c'mon, go to the hip and throw the guy bucks. Oh, and you get great music in return. Keep it up KO!

1. Gorgeous. - Zoe Keating has such a unique and interesting voice as a composer, and it's the kind of thing that's really special and beautiful when it's expressed through the cello. I feel like her music cello is such a unique combination that it's a little thing of beauty you're not going to find anywhere else. I takes me wish I could play the cello.

2. Soundtrack to my life - Can't get enough. Zoe Keating is a genius at balancing simplicity and complexity, and her arrangements bring out the depth of sound that makes cello music so stirring. It's refreshing to find someone whose methods are not formulaic and obviously creates from a real love and understanding of her instrument.

3. advice - This album is glorious and a true piece of art. It conveys so many different emotions, so go in to it curious and open minded. Put some headphones on or turn up your speakers over any outside noise. Escape for a little while with it. I highly recommend NOT buying the mp version. Go to her website and order the CD for the same price, or in FLAC for $. That's if you care about experiencing a great album in format that isn't crappy mps. I personally bought the one with the bonus tracks. It'll be the sound track of my life for a few more weeks.

4. A breathtaking journey... - Zoe Keating's work keeps growing and maturing beautifully. She really knows how to touch the core of the soul with her layered/looped cello tracks. Haunting, evocative, and visceral in a good way. I find something new in each piece, every time I listen to them. Getting her albums are a must! Help support a talented servant of the Muses!!!

5. Music for the Soul!! - I can listen to Zoe Keating's music all day long. It is so relaxing and yet jovial. It is more than simply classical music. I would venture to say that Zoe really lets her personality shine through in the very notes and arrangement. I had the benefit of seeing her play in Tahoe California, and while nothing can rival seeing her play in person, her CD's do allow for one to still escape to places only imagined. I wholeheartedly recommend this music to those interested in classical music or more melancholy tones.

6. music for your eyes and soul - we hadn't heard of Zoe til Thursday night, her piece Escape Artist was used in a new dance piece @ Univ Az dance theater, and it was moving, I could't get it out of my mind, nor could my wife; so we bought it, now want more. what a moving artist she is. you'll get hooked too…. promise
2012-04-28
7. Simply Amazing - I first heard the song Escape Artist. I just kept hitting the repeat button, it's practically broken now. I'm a cellist myself, and all my music has at least one string instrument in it. (preferably the cello) I bought the whole album, it's just that good! I tried to play it on my cello, but I think I'll just let Zoe perform it:)
2012-01-31
8. Great New Find! - Ok, she's not so new, but I just discovered her last night. Listening to Into the Trees right now and I've fallen in love!! I've always been a closet cello lover and now I can enjoy a whole orchestra full of them...all played by one awesome young woman. Thanks for the beauty you're bringing to the world, Zoe! As the rent is paid I'm buying your album...

1. Maestro - As the years have passed Bocelli has lost some of the power in his voice, but this release makes it perfectly clear that the gift of emotion in his voice has grown stronger. Each song, regardless of version you listen to, is the work of a vocal craftsman accompanied by great musicians. One of Bocelli’s top records in my opinion.
2019-09-20
2. Andrea Bocelli - The Maestro - I think this is perhaps out of his legacy of work one of the greatest albums of all time. Andrea's voice is like drinking a fine wine, but also he paints each song especially with his duet with his son Matteo leaving an indelible mark on our hearts forever. I never tire of any of Andrea Bocelli aka The Maestro music. But this album with the Ali Di Liberta is absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

3. Absolutely blown away - I knew this album would be incredible, but I was still caught by surprise by just how good it was. I downloaded the album and listened to it straight through which I haven’t done with an album since high school. But when it comes to Andrea Bocelli, every track will be our of this world. I loved that he collaborated with different artists as well as his son( who I had no idea could sing!!) . It just goes to show his brilliance and that he continues to surprise with every new album . So glad I spent money on this

4. Bocelli is back - Man, this guy is by far one of the greatest singers in the world right now. I don’t what anyone says. His song selection is great, his voice has such power and soul in it, and even when you see him do appearances and interviews, he’s such a humble and pleasant man. The collaborations on here are really nice, too. Money well spent.

5. Absolutely brilliant and enchanting... - Words seem inadequate when talking about this album. I saw him sing with his son and was stunned. On this album, (NEW, finally) he collaborates with some unusual choices. These choices serve only to turn up the light on his true brilliance... and I, for one, couldn’t be more thrilled or more thankful.
