1. Im Stunned! - I know every remake of "somewhere over the rainbow" ever done and this one makes me tear up every time I hear it. I will buy this album just to hear that one song for the rest of my life. thank you susan for the gift of your talant. Dont ever stop singing you make so much joy for so many.

2. Stunning - I'm so glad that Susan Boyle got her shot at recording! She has a truly angelic voice that stands up to other performers like Elaine Paige, her idol, as well as Sarah Brightman, etc. My only wish is that she would sing more contemporary songs like she did on her first album. Nevertheless, her voice is exquisite on this album.

3. BRAVO!!!!!! - Beautiful. Susan.....you just keep getting better and better! Highly recommend this album. Update: Just listened to the complete album and I love it. "Music Of The Night" with Michael Crawford.....need I say more? Susan's life story just makes her songs even better. I don't pay attention to her critics, I know what I like and I like her. I have a musical background (over years) and she has a wonderful voice.

4. Uplifting Experience - I feel strengthened after listening to this album. The music leads you through the ups and downs of life, while giving so much inspiration and encouragement. The last two songs perfectly cap it off, knowing you are not alone and feeling victorious in this journey of life. The selection of songs and their sequence is perfect, making it a complete and uplifting experience. Susan sings beautifully through each track and has amazing duets with Crawford and Osmond. This is her best album to date.

5. Beautiful music! - I've loved Susan Boyle's voice since she came onto the scene and have really enjoyed all of her CD's up to this point, and as much as I loved her last one, Someone to Watch Over Me, I think I like this one even better because of the variety of the tracks. You never get bored because they're all so different. They range from the soft and sweet to the powerful, and I think that it demonstrates more of what she's capable of.
She's continuing to grow as an artist.
The orchestration is beautiful and powerful where it should be, but it doesn't overpower her beautiful vocals. Her producer did a great job.
A lot of these tracks are my all time favorites from musical theater and the duets are incredible. I knew that Michael Crawford's duet would be outstanding and it didn't disappoint, but I was completely surprised at the beauty of the duets with Donny Osmond. He's a fantastic singer.
I can't choose my favorites at this time because I really love all of them. So often there are a few good tracks and the rest are fillers, but every track on this CD is a winner.
Not only will I recommend this to friends, I'll be buying several more copies for Christmas gifts.
Thanks for the beautiful music Susan! Please keep it coming!

6. Absolutely Beautiful - This is the first of Susan's albums that I've bought. I had to have it for "Memory" and "Out Here On My Own" and an overall stellar collection of songs, but I'm also very pleased to hear that her new producer is pushing her voice to new heights, and showing more colors of her voice. She has never sounded better, and is very much at home with these songs. Donny Osmond sounds great, too. Highly recommended.

7. Susan's Very Best - This album is truly the BEST of Susan Boyle. Wonderful choices of broadway's best songs. It's made even greater by having two of Susan's heroes performing with her, Michale Crawford and Donny Osmond. For my, this will be a musical Christmas gift to many friends and family. Way to go Susan!!!!! Keep it up dear heart.
2012-11-13
8. BEYOND SPECTACULAR - A Must Have - I mostly listen to pop music, I didn't think I would love songs from the musicals. How wrong was I? I love it, love the way she sings the songs with such emotion. The timbre of her voice is so addictive, warm and sexy. I will buy some more for Christmas gifts. An A album . Good job, Susan.
2012-11-13
9. Lacks Passion - If you are going to try take on powerful songs like Music of the Night and Bring Him Home you need to sing from the heart. These songs require feeling and this album lacks that. Almost sounds like Susan is reading as she sings along to sheet music. She is no Sarah Brightman or Colm Wilkinson. Not even close!!!
2012-11-04
10. Standing Ovation - This album is such a lovely showcase of what Susan's incomparable voice can create. I will listen to this one all the time, as I did with her last album, and I thought it very unfair that people gave ratings without even listening to the selections on that one, because I thought Autumn Leaves such a lovely tribute to All Soul's Day, the day it was released - it was a never before heard song, and was completely missed by most who gave reviews on here. Susan's angel voice is a great gift to the world, and I am so privileged to live in the age to which she was given, these songs, and especially the duets, are enthralling. I would like to hear the Japanese song Wings To Fly on her next album, which I will also pre-buy.

1. Favorite instrumental artists EVER - You guys are AMAZING being a cello player myself, I admire how quickly you play and switch notes. It is fantastic how you play so loudly! I haven't bought the album yet, but as soon as I can, I will get all of the stuff that I used to just use YouTube for!! Cello was the first instrument I learned how to play, when I was only , and that is when I first got into you. I highly recommend them as a party, hangout, or even study playlist, and they are amazing artists.

2. Amazing!!! - I stumbled upon Cellos purely by accident and I fell in love immediately. The first song I heard was their cover of 'Human Nature' then 'Smooth Criminal', followed by 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and 'Fields of Gold' these are all songs that I loved in their original for so I equally love them (if not more so) in this uniquely beautiful instrumental form. I even began playing these songs in my PreK class room, especially during nap time. PERFECTION!!!

3. AMAZING!!! Never heard anything so good! - I first heard these guys when they opened for Elton John. He introduced them as one of the most amazing talents he'd ever seen! They came out and started off with typical cello music. THEN, the third or forth song was highway to hell! The whole audience was on their feet! AMAZING!!!

4. Absolute Wonder! - Cellos - oh man! I first heard them on Pandora and was hooked with just one song. There is so much energy and emotion behind the music that's beyond anything else. Even the re-makes are glorious. The music is soothing and vibrant at the same time. I've always loved the deep sound a cello can give off versus other instruments. It feels so much more intense. I love Cellos!

5. These Guys are Rockstars - Folks, these two gentlemen rock HARDER than any rock band on the market at this moment. It's not about sound/distortion etc it's about the feeling that transpires, and these boys GOT IT. Do you want to be thrilled? See for yourself. Buy this, borrow it, steal it (only joking). Just get it.
2014-08-26
6. AMAZING!!! - I've loved Luka and Stjepan ever since I first heard them. Their playing and the amount of talent they have is unbelievable, and I can only dream of possibly meeting them one day. Their classical twist on modern-day songs is one to be admired, and I will never stop loving Cellos! NEVER EVER EVER!!!!

7. Awestruck - Just saw these guys tonight with Elton John tonight in Seoul South Korea, they played U's "with or without you", "teen spirit", "highway to hell", it was just a blast to hear their sound. They also played on stage with Elton John and it really added to his already wonderful music. I had to have their music and I love it,
2012-11-27
8. Magnificent - Haven't listened to the whole album yet, but I'm already impressed. These guys are able to capture the same energy and passion that the original artists put into their songs. Simply amazing. Plus it doesn't hurt that they did songs by my top favorite bands (being U, Coldplay, and Muse).

1. Wow that was an intersection choice - The core of what you do is wonderful classical based music. The over engineered "shlock" masquerading as pop songs with vocals are beneath your talents. It's like listening to an excessively loud commercial on TV. If your going to make a kiddie pop album than please do so but call it what it is: don't make those of us who love your work as adults suffer through a trip to the mall with the kids

2. Love Story with Viva La Vida Undertones - Like some others, I fell in love with the Taylor Swift/Coldplay mashup online and was scrambling to find it on iTunes. While the Love Story track on this album is not that particular piece, it definately still shows the same concept. The song does not go full-force from Love Story into Viva La Vida, but instead gives us Taylor Swift with noticible Coldplay undertones. While I was really looking forward to the song I found online, this one is still incredible as is. I say give it a shot, and enjoy it with the rest of this amazing album

3. Woah. Amazing - The first time I heard about this album I thought it was going to be boring. But it's not at all! I play the cello and I get inspired to play songs like this and improve myself! This album is relaxing, fun to sing-along with, and great for concentrating. I love this album and the other albums made. They are phenomenal. I highly suggest this to someone who is interested in orchestral pieces. Great job Piano Guys I hope you get very successful.

4. Love Story/Viva La Vida??? - I LOVE the Piano Guys, you rock hard core. However, I bought the song Love Story, and when it built to the climax where it's supposed to switch to Viva La Vida, it didn't. And even though I knew in my head that it had said 'Love Story' not 'Viva La Vida meets Love Story' when I purchased it, I didn't really think about it. And when I went looking for it on iTunes, I couldn't find it. I hope it goes up soon.

5. Losing steam - Though not as creative or tuneful as earlier efforts, this album is still pretty good. Nelson's movement to the electric cello as his primary instrument is a tragedy (unless you like the synthetic 's sound). It looks cool, but lacks the rich timbre of its natural counterpart. Luckily, John has yet to trade his piano for a keyboard. Speaking of John, I thought he was relegated to accompanist in too many of the tracks of this album. The net affect of an increased emphasis on electric instruments over natural ones is a new age sound. Not what I would have gone for, but I imagine their record label is driving the bus now.

6. I have always loved The Piano Guys - About yrs ago when I first met The Piano Guys, I immediately fall in love with their music especially with the cello guy, Steven Sharp Nelson. So the result, it's my fourth time to buy their finalized album in iTunes with happiness. Thank you for giving me peace and joy while I am listing your music. XOXO

7. Fantastic! Best CD yet! - Love it! Has a lot of my faves! Kung Fu Panda, The Mission/How Great Thou Art, Let It Go...
Hope they stick to this music style of mash-ups & some hymn tunes, and don't start singing too much. Background vocals fine, but solos not so much and sort of feel out of place. I'm not hating...just my thoughts.

8. Always uplifting - If there’s one thing I love about The Piano Guys, it’s that their music is always so uplifting! I’ve been listening to Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson since well before they were officially “The Piano Guys,” and I’ve always enjoyed their music. The fusion they create, the intensity with with they play their respective instruments, and their ability to take a song that we may already know and completely transform it is what really makes me admire them. So far, I’d have to say this album is no different. The songs are expertly crafted, and wonderfully played. There’s a great variety as well. Transitioning from “Because of You” with it’s upbeat tempo and feel to “Pictures at an Exhibition”, which is a complete degree turn to something calmer and smoother (at least at first) is just another reminder of the breadth of talent these guys poses. Whenever I’m feeling down, I know I can always count on TPG to provide some uplifting music and videos. Thanks for the hard work you put into this, guys!!

9. PIANO GUYS THE BEST - The Piano Guys are the best. This album is going to be fantastic in every way. They are so creative with music. I am definitely looking forward to this album. I especially love the fact that because I have already purchased two or three songs from this album as singles, iTunes is offering the rest of the songs at $. instead of $.. This is absolutely fantastic.

10. Spectacular - The Piano Guys are an extremely talented group of people who put together amazing music. I love and appreciate everything they put out. I promise if you buy their music you will not be disappointed. All of their music is exciting and exhilarating and it's cool to listen to. If you love music, you will love Piano Guys! Thank you so much Piano Guys for everything you do!

1. Amazing - these guys are amazing, I've been playing piano for years and never really got that far because I didn't enjoy it, it seemed like a chore to practice, but these guys have inspired me to love playing the piano, and I'm going to take cello lessons sometime soon hopefully, and also hopefully be a musician for a full time job. you guys should do O Danny boy sometime, it's a great song

2. Again The Piano Guys Don't Disappoint!!! - Mile High Salute to The Piano Guys, all are awesome tracks, I can't even begin to comment on them but the one that stands out the most to me in my opinion is track ....'Rockelbel's Cannon (Pachelbel Canon in D).....the best track of the album and one if not the best renditon I have ever heard period.....

3. out of stars - I love these guys so much I love how you can tell they love what they do I've become a better pianist and ( very soon hopefully) I will become a cellist because of them my all time favorite song is Berlin and I like how it's music with no words because words draw away from the music and you can really feel the emotion when you hear piano guys their flat out awesome buy this album you won't regret it

4. Piano Guys - I absolutely love the piano guys. I was looking at the album and then i decided- What the heck ill just get the deluxe version My only problem is that on a couple of the music videos there is a slight lag The music starts before the video and it is out of sync for the rest of the song It bothers me- especially on waterfall- but it is so awesome i give it five stars anyway because if i could i would give it six I love berlin and rochelbel oh and charlie brown and waterfall and all of me oh and i can't forget me and my cello- heck i just love the whole album I looooooooove music because of them they are AWESOME
2013-06-08
5. Great instrumentals - The Piano Guys is a very great symphonic album that combines pop music with classical music, Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson really are amazing on their instruments (Piano and Cello) and create an amazing sound. I highly recommend buying this album, I would even say it is stars not . If your just looking for good songs though I recommend "Waterfall" and "Lord of the Rings".
2013-05-27
6. Beyond expectations - I don't remember when it was the last time I have listened to an entire CD times in a row. I think I was a teenager when that happened. That said, the most spectacular album I have listened lately. Flawless. Unique. Berlin is the most elevating and addictive music of this album. I jus L-O-V-E it!
Thanks, Piano Guys for sharing your inspirations and creations with us.

7. impressive - This is possibly the best new album on the whole list. The music is inspiring, true, and tremendously creative. Myself being a classically trained musician, it is wonderful to hear this kind of work being produced. Putting a new edge on it by playing newer music is especially refreshing. Great job Piano Guys, i hope you never stop your imaginiation!

8. Get This. - I do not have this album but I do have the regular version and have seen all the piano guys videos. It is diffenently worth getting if you have somthing to watch it on. I will say this the piano guys are the best instramentalists i have ever seen(including Chopin, J. S. Bach, Handel etc...) these guy have inspiered to be a better pianist, and play the cello. So if you are thinking about geting this album (deluxe or not) please do. Also go on you tube and subscribe. You will not regret your disition. GO PIANO GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9. They Never Cease to Amaze! - These men are musical geniuses. They always put a unique, magic touch on every song they write and perform. I didn't even make it past the first song without getting chills! And I'm so excited to see that the videos were included- these guys are moving when they perform and it is extremely powerful. Also there is usually cool scenery ;) Favorites: "Begin Again", "Mission Impossible", "Berlin", "Just The Way You Are", "Nearer My God to Thee", "Me And My Cello (Happy Together)" and pretty much the entire album! Well done, sirs.

1. BEAUTIFUL - Anyone can play an instrument but to deliver a message in every single note is nothing but beauty. I can’t explain to you how amazing the sound is because its simply a feeling you get from listening. Not everyone will understand and hear the same sound but if you get the chance to close your eyes and embrace such talent you will appreciate and be thankful for what Kevin has given us. His delivery and passion goes through your ears straight to your heart.
2015-06-19
2. Exceptional musicality - I stumbled upon this album, and am so very glad that I did. This artist's musical talent is incredible, and the manner in which he is able to coax such beautiful sounds out of his cello sets him far above many other cellists whose music I have heard. The added bonus of beatboxing, which adds such an exceptional dimension to this already amazing music, is a welcome surprise.
I look forward to hearing more musical offerings from Mr. Olusola, and (selfishly!) hope that he is able to produce them soon!
2015-05-24
3. Speechless.. - Hi Kevin! I don't know if you'll see this or not but I just want to thank you. Over the past year I have almost fallen "out of love" with being a cellist because of depression and things I deal with that cause me to lose interest in things not matter how much I love it. But listening to you play and see you preform with pentatonix has re kindled my love and passion for playing cello. I'm sure you've heard this many times before, but you have an amazing gift, and how you are sharing it with the world is amazing. It truly touches so many people in ways that only you can relate to, but will truly never understand. You are truly one of a kind...never change that, good luck!
2015-03-30
4. Classical Crossover - Please note this is "Classical Crossover," not Classical music. Kevin uses a Classical instrument and mixes it with the Pop genre. It is nothing short of pure genius, but don't down vote this amazing EP, because you don't understand the difference between Classical and Classical Crossover, as this is properly labeled.
2015-03-15
5. Amazing as always - I know most people will come because he is in PTX. But he is so much more than just a great beat boxer. I have seen him play his cello live and it's wonderful. I love this collection he has put out and my year old daughter even ask it to be added to her music she listens to at bedtime.
2015-03-13
6. Unique. Cool. Great music. - I could have just listened to this on spotify but I loved it and wanted to support this guy. How often do you see anyone doing something unique and synthesizing diverse talents like beatboxing and playing the cello? Artists that take risks and make great music should be supported. If you saw this guy playin on the subway you'd throw him a couple bucks into his case...So, c'mon, go to the hip and throw the guy bucks. Oh, and you get great music in return. Keep it up KO!

1. Maestro - As the years have passed Bocelli has lost some of the power in his voice, but this release makes it perfectly clear that the gift of emotion in his voice has grown stronger. Each song, regardless of version you listen to, is the work of a vocal craftsman accompanied by great musicians. One of Bocelli’s top records in my opinion.
2019-09-20
2. Andrea Bocelli - The Maestro - I think this is perhaps out of his legacy of work one of the greatest albums of all time. Andrea's voice is like drinking a fine wine, but also he paints each song especially with his duet with his son Matteo leaving an indelible mark on our hearts forever. I never tire of any of Andrea Bocelli aka The Maestro music. But this album with the Ali Di Liberta is absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.
2019-03-24
3. Absolutely blown away - I knew this album would be incredible, but I was still caught by surprise by just how good it was. I downloaded the album and listened to it straight through which I haven’t done with an album since high school. But when it comes to Andrea Bocelli, every track will be our of this world. I loved that he collaborated with different artists as well as his son( who I had no idea could sing!!) . It just goes to show his brilliance and that he continues to surprise with every new album . So glad I spent money on this
2018-11-27
4. Bocelli is back - Man, this guy is by far one of the greatest singers in the world right now. I don’t what anyone says. His song selection is great, his voice has such power and soul in it, and even when you see him do appearances and interviews, he’s such a humble and pleasant man. The collaborations on here are really nice, too. Money well spent.
2018-10-28
5. Absolutely brilliant and enchanting... - Words seem inadequate when talking about this album. I saw him sing with his son and was stunned. On this album, (NEW, finally) he collaborates with some unusual choices. These choices serve only to turn up the light on his true brilliance... and I, for one, couldn’t be more thrilled or more thankful.

1. In Aw- who care who produces them when they bleed talent! - I've been watching their fan videos for years- at least seems like years. What amazes me the most is their classical moments. I imagine Bach, Vivaldi - maybe Satie.... gathering around a dinner date with God and watching these two make music rise to the heavens. Every so often our world gets musical hands sent to inspire the masses- don't miss these two.

2. I dont think I will be buying this entire album but there is song YOU HAVE TO BUY! - The "Bang Bang" cover featuring Sky is literally the BEST BEST BEST cover I have EVER heard of a song before. I have had it on repeat. Literally her voice is so dark in this & just amazing. UGH! But I loved Sky before this came out so that might have something to do with it. Anyways, buy the album if you want, its decent & if you don't want to buy the whole thing then at least get "Bang Bang"

3. Good but could be great. - I love Cellos on general prinicple. I think they have a unique sound and really loved their first album. That being said, this new album was hit or miss for me. I prefer the simpler feel of just the cellos and don't think the vocals or other guests were necessary. In fact I think it detracts from what made Sulic and Hauser so impressive with their initial release. The broad range of sounds they could get with just their own amazing talent.
2013-02-06
4. Cellos Inition - Previewed the album last night and it has something for every music aficianado. Rock, romance, classical, and vocals, each performed with the fire and passion these talented cellists have unleashed for the public to discover. .What I love most about these is their range - this is so evident on the album. The beauty and sensitivity heard on "Benedictus" while the wild, in your face "Highway to Hell", to the dark, mysterious collaboration of "VooDoo People" and the beautiful "El Libro Dell 'Amore" are perfect examples of their artistry and range. I hope these guys stay true to their mission - choosing music which introduces a classical instrument to a new audience. Who knew? Cellists who can rock AND touch my soul. Wow...love these guys.

1. Stunning! - My grandfather looked down on modern music. He used to say "musicians nowadays can't even play instruments, not like they used to" (like before electricity). Stupid old fossil. If I could be half this good at anything I do I would be happy. These guys don't play music, they channel it. They could also both be models if they wanted to but they don't care. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Grandad.

2. Authentic World Renowed Artists - Thankful I got to meet these guys at Plaza Live Concert in Orlando FL - Fall . Amazing talent, good hearted - I say Authentic and World Renowed - because so many people are not and misuse the adjective WORLD RENOWED. Catch them in concert, live. It is amazing. Got the pic and the autographs - too. Our Paint It Black Orchestra is inspired by their work and artistry. Shannon Caine, Beautiful Music USA

3. Fantastic new album - I recently discovered these two brilliant musicians on Pandora Christmas selection. I now own all their albums and am amazed at the beauty of their music. Benedictus is so moving. On the new album, early releases, "I will wait" is made for cello and a favorite. Thunderstruck and Mombasa are fantastic also.

1. Beautiful as always and so moving - Discovered you guys a good sum of years ago and have been such a big fan since the moment I heard you! Your music is inspirational, beautiful and comforting! This album is no different! Was super excited when I heard you worked with Hans Zimmer as well!!! Keeping up the good work! "it's gonna be ok" is one of my favorites! Love it when Al sings!

2. These guys are fantastic! - Love their style, their music is so fresh, crisp and clear. Beautiful rhythms, clean and fun! I close my eyes and see them, just smiling and playing - so effortless, so happy and joyous! Cheerful, happy songs, skilled artists, so much of a good thing! Highly recommended. Thanks guys!

3. Epic! - My four young children and I love this newest Piano Guys offering (because that's what their music always is--a love offering to their fans)! We really enjoy the dramatic, sweeping compositions. I've always enjoyed how their unique combinations of classical, sacred, and popular makes the old new, the new classic, and the sacred accessible. Very uplifting to the human spirit! We love the videos, as well. They are always visually stunning, which stirs the heart. But, I especially appreciate my children being able to watch such talented, devoted musicians clearly loving what they do.

4. A Phenomenon - These guys are amazing. I love music and music inspires me to be the best of me...but these guys take THAT to a whole new level. They are world-class. The name says it all "Uncharted". Their music literally takes you beyond imagination. They are a phenomenon. It doesn't matter where you are in life or what limiting beliefs you may or may not have about yourself, life, the universe and everything...if you listen to these guys play, it is an invitation to infinitely expand...pure bliss. Thank you, Piano Guys!

5. Uncharted is Amazing! - The Piano Guys bring it again! Uncharted is their best work yet. I love Indiana Jones and the Arabian Nights, Okay, Can't Stop the Feeling, can't help but love Fight Song/Amazing Grace. Jungle Book/Sarabande is so much fun. The Piano Guys' music moves me emotionally so powerfully and from one moment of joy and laughter, to serious contemplation and peace. Thank you for your great work and sharing your talents. The Piano Guys' music never disappoints and always brings a good feeling.

6. "That's Dancin' MUsic!!!" - I've listened to The Piano Guys since finding them on YouTube years ago. My yo son is growing up listening to them. He highest praise is when he labels a song as "Dancing Music". The first was I Want You Back, and now Okay. Other than Mister Rogers, Okay is the only song he will request by name. When he hears it playing and is out of the room, he sprints in, shouts "Okay song!" and proceeds to dance with the joy and vigor that only a yo can. Thank you for this wonderful album!

7. Music at its finest! - A beautiful arrangement of strings, piano, and pure passion, this album is the Piano Guys' best compliation yet! Featuring the regenerative "Fight Song/Amazing Grace", the spunky and vivacious "Can't Stop the Feeling" and my new all-time favorite, "Okay". The Piano Guys translate all of our hope, pain, dreams, fear, and love into an elegantly crafted album that serves the warm, cheery fire on the coldest winter's eve. Words don't begin to describe how much my admiration and joy.

2. Uplifting, Beautiful and Pure Joy - Not only is their music absolutely beautiful but the joy one can feel by watching these guys do what they do is awesome. They love what they do and they are uplifting and inspiring others. These guys have beautiful personalities and it comes through in their music and the way they share it with everyone. Their videos are stunning. The scenery makes me feel like I am right there. Great job guys!!!!

3. Not worth your precious ears' time. - Think about it like this: we humans have somewhere (generally) in the range of - years on Earth. Most of us can't listen to all of the recorded Western Canon in that period of time unless you were immensely dedicated from birth. Why waste time that could be spent on Perotin, Obrecht, or Stamitz on this mess?

4. I love Piano Guys and call their work jazz classical!! - There is ro doubt they take songs and put their mark on it. I like to say they jazz up a song in a classical sense using the piano and the cello! Though I gave them stars their are a few songs I did not like but as a whole I like the album plus they do something the others do not and that is the videos. I would as other classical musicians to consider what they do!!!

5. Some of Their Best Work to Date - As a fan of the original work of the Piano Guys (Titanium/Pavane, Bourne/Vivaldi) I am thoroughly impressed with this new album. Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson are both expressive, dynamic, and upbeat performers and the work they do on these songs is really fantastic. Of particular note is their arrangement of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition. They manage to keep the integrity of the piece while modernizing it and making it more up tempo for a really enjoyable listen. Throughout the album they are really original with the way they use sounds and replicate famous songs with just two primary instruments. Let it Go, Batman Evolution, and Cello Ascends are great examples. They do what no cello and piano has done before. Love these guys.

6. Fantastic! - I tend to be very picky with cover artists- especially with classics- but have fallen in love! Their many renditions and medleys of old and new songs of many genres have inspired me as a musician to think outside the box when playing and to not forget the soul within. I look forward to their newest album of great music!

7. Taste and Choices - First and foremost I am not, of course, a hater. iTunes can place their CDs wherever they choose to. There is “music” out there that is incredibly awful and also incredibly beautiful. It’s a matter of taste and choice. To write a review suggesting a reasonable request does not make me a hater, IMHO. Secondly – the placement of this CD is second place on the bullet list. I do not consider The Piano Guys CD recordings good ones. There might be a song or two which might be enjoyable but, again, IMHO, - their music is plain, uninspiring, monotonous, repetitive, lacking subtle complexity and richness in sound (especially on the piano side). I would hear a couple of songs – but to sit down and hear the whole CD in one sitting – for me – it is impossible. Just my opinion-I could be wrong. I rated it stars so the word “hate” would disappear. Enjoy your Piano Guys. That’s all what matters.

8. Great music - The piano guys or cello guys as my kids call them are amazing! The music they provide is wonderful. They are extremely talented musicians and entertainers if you are able yo see them in concert! To the one star reviewer... Don't be a hater because iTunes put the cd in classical crossover who cares what category it's in really?!
2014-09-19
9. Love love love these guys - These guys don't compose or play a bad song. They are inspiring, creative, and truly a joy to watch and listen to. On top of all of that, they are great people with strong faith that they are proud of. We could use more guys like this. Awesome role models for my aspiring piano and cello players at home who love their mashups of classic and contemporary. And if you get the chance to see them live, you will not be disappointed.

10. This is classical music - To the reviewer who said that this isn't classical music... This is classical music. It's Classical Crossover. I agree that the piano sounds plain and similar in all the songs, however, it's kind of relaxing to hear. It also feels like the people is the beat and the cello is the star.

1. Nice Album but some problems - Most of the songs on this album were relaxing and nice to the ear . . . but I was disappointed that the main song, "Someone to Watch Over Me," named for the album, was only a minute . I would have thought that that would have been the premiere song. I had to buy the song, "Someone to Watch Over Me" from another artist.

2. A Different Perspective - Haters will hate but c'mon...Depeche Mode and Judy Collins tunes on the same album? All mixed in with a chill ambient groove and an easy listening vibe? Cool, chill and worth a listen. Susan Boyle will always be the icon for those who dream to sing to the masses. It doesn't matter if you like it or not - she inspires and reminds that the common, good-hearted soul trumps auto-tuned drudgery any day.

3. LOVELY! - I stumbled across her music and decided to finally see what the "big deal" was.....and omg I felt what she sings!! So beautiful and full of FEELING! I bought cd's tonight! Great to listen to after a stressful day her voice is simply ethereal! Make sure you check all her work out each cd has a little something new :) Thanks and God bless you Susan.
2013-01-23
4. Disappointed - Watch Over Me - I love Susan's Music. One of my favorite songs to listen too that reminds me of my sister is "Someone to Watch Over Me." I was expecting the whole song and not just a part of it. That is why I purchased her album. I still love her music but just wanted to hear the album's main song in its entirety. I should have noticed the timeframe. All other songs are wonderful!
2011-12-12
5. Fantastic Voice but Need More Variety! - ...And I don't mean variety in selections. I mean, how can you not have your interest piqued when a vocalist covers such a wide range of music genres as the Riteous Brothers ("Unchained Melody"), Joni Mitchell ("Both Sides Now"), Depeche Mode (awesome!! "Enjoy The Silence"), and a Gershwin Musical ("Someone to Watch Over Me"--yeah, was from a musical before it became a jazz standard)? However, since the release of her breakout album, there seems to be a pattern developing. And yes, patterns develop after the first time, so the first album didn't fall into this pattern, yet...make sense? Anyhooo, first let me clarify that Ms. Boyle has a great voice. Before her Internet breakout performance on You Tube (here in the States) I was introducing her via my email accounts to friends and family everywhere. What a moving performance on "Britain's Got Talent." After seeing her perform with Elaine Paige, (was her dream to do so), veteran Ms. Paige paled in comparison to the wide-eyed newcomer. Susan out-shined her, for sure. But I am disappointed with how her career is evolving. All of her songs are for the most part the same tempo, regardless of the arrangements and genre. It's great when a musician puts their own take on a song, after all, why bother. However, Ms. Boyle needs to show her fans that she's more diverse in her delivery. Perhaps she needs better producers. On all but her first album, every track starts sounding the same...just different lyrics. A successful musician needs to reinvent themselves. Just take a gander at longstanding successful musical acts. Every album will have something unique to offer compared to the others they have released. Having a beautiful and powerful voice will only show listeners that you have a beautiful and powerful voice. Being able to use your voice musically with diversity--a true songstress--and variety proves that you are a musician. Susan, you have proven that your voice is beautiful now show us that you are a true musician.
2011-12-10
6. Someone To Watch Over Me - It is refreshing to hear the perfection in Susan Boyle's voice but her song selections could be much better. None of her recordings offer anything near her rendition of "I Dreamed A Dream". That one song leaves us "up-lifted" and amazed at what we just heard. This album has a few good moments but leaves me hoping for something more powerful.
2011-11-26
7. Needs more tempo changes - Susan's voice is beautiful as always but I would have to agree with Miami Mitch that it's a bit downbeat. Some of my favorite previously recorded songs are here; Mad World, Unchained Melody and Both Sides Now but I would love to have had a few counterpoints inserted. As I listen to the album my mood gets blacker and lower. Maybe the next album will be happier. Perhaps this album is a mark of the times we currently live in with economic crisis and personal struggles.

8. SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME - SUSAN BOYLE HAS TOUCHED ME SO WITH HER BEAUTIFULLY SUNG WORDS WITH THE TRUE EMOTION OF THE WRITER OF THE SONG. I THANK HER FOR CAPTURING HER TV JUDGES , ONE OF WHICH WHICH WAS ALSO SHOWN AT THE SAME TIME SUSAN SANG THE TH WORD AND NOTE........SIMON COWELL'S FACE CHANGED AND SOME HOW I KNEW OR HOPED HE WOULD BRING SUSAN TO US. SIMON - SINCERE THANK YOU FOR SPOTTING THIS GIFT OF VOICE FROM SUSAN BOYLE, BRINGING HER TO ME AND MY LIFE........AND EVEN MORE FUTURE THANK YOUS FOR FUTURE GIFTS, YOU ARE MORE THAN BRILLIANT, YOUNG MAN. (I AM AND ENJOY THE BEST OF THE BEST, AND I LOOK TO SIMON) THIS NEW ALBUM IS LOVELY, AND IS QUITE POSSIBLY WRITTEN FOR ME. THANK YOU ALL ! MARY ANN BAYKOWSKI

9. Beautiful Voice - Susan Boyle's voice continues to amaze. This CD contains very familiar tracts that have been famous by other superstars. This makes it difficult to listen without comparing Susan Boyle's renditions with the original singers. I found some tracts not the equal to the original version, especially "Unchained Melody". That being said, I still enjoyed listening to Susan Boyle and in the end that is the most important.
2011-11-10
10. PERFECTION!! - The world fell in love with Susan Boyle's voice and "Someone To Watch Over Me" delivers just that, her VOICE! The song choices showcase Susan, her vulnerability and her passion for her music and yes, HER VOICE. I can't stop listening to it and on every listen, I am surprised by something new that I hadn't heard before. Stellar cuts include "This Will Be The Year" and "Return." Highly reccommended!

1. From MainlyPiano - I recently reviewed Cellos’ release, "Let There Be Cello," and absolutely flipped. I hungrily went looking for more of this amazing duo’s music and grabbed their previous release, "Score." This collection of favorite movie music is performed by the marvelous cellists from Croatia and backed by the London Symphony (Robin Smith conducting). "Score" is gorgeous and the arrangements are stellar, but after the unbridled excitement of "Let There Be Cello," this one is a bit subdued. (For people who prefer Cellos’ more classical side, I’m sure that’s good news!) The music comes from fourteen movies released as far back as (“Breakfast at Tiffany’s”) up through a medley from "Game of Thrones." Most are classics, but I wasn’t familiar with a few of the tracks. Cellos is Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser. Both artists have played the cello since childhood. Sulic graduated from the acclaimed Royal Academy of Music in London, and Hauser from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, both in . Both have won many top prizes in international music competitions. Cellos rose to fame in when their version of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” took the world by storm. The YouTube video became a massive viral hit leading to a record deal with Portrait/Sony Music Masterworks and an invitation to join Sir Elton John on his worldwide tour. They have appeared on a number of television shows and are currently touring the US in support of "Let There Be Cello," their fifth album with Sony Music Masterworks. "Score" begins with the Medley from "Game of Thrones," the most intense and exhilarating piece on the album. “May It Be” from "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" overflows with poignant emotion and delicate beauty - a favorite! “For the Love of a Princess” from "Braveheart" was a new piece to these ears, and it’s also a beauty with passion and tenderness flowing from every note. While some of the themes are classic (“Love Story,” “Love theme from 'The Godfather'," and especially “My Heart Will Go On” from "Titanic"), my longtime piano teacher’s ears have lost their enchantment with them no matter how well they’re played or arranged. I still love Henry Mancini’s “Moon River” and Vangelis’ theme from "Chariots of Fire," though, and the arrangements on this album are wonderful! I also really like the "Rain Man" theme, “Cavatina” from "The Deer Hunter," and the main theme from "Schindler’s List." If you have a passion for beautiful movie music played with classical elegance, "Score" is a great choice!

2. The Harmonies? - My problem is not with their playing. They both play beautifully, but whomever did the arangements shold be shot. Why would you change the harmonies to many of these pieces. Schindler's list is massacred harmonically as are many others, and the orchestra is so tuned down half the time it sounds like a mistake. Very Odd!

1. Love this album! - LIMITLESS is one of their best albums! Miracles is so uplifting and the variety of tracks on this album is incredible! The Piano Guys have wonderful music across all their albums. I can listen to these again and again and never tire of these songs. Their music is so uplifiting and powerful. Keep them coming!

2. Another Beautiful CD - I absolutely love the music by The Piano Guys and was so excited to hear their news songs. For anyone who is familiar with Jon Schmidt’s earlier music, the tracks “First Dance” and “North Cape” are beautiful updated versions with the cello. I also really like the Greatest Showman tracks and the new BTS tracks “Epiphany” and “DNA”.
2018-11-09
3. Mostly Good - I like most of the songs in this album. TPG outdid themselves with "Rewrite the Stars", "In My Blood/Swan Lake", "Hungarian Rapsady/Something Just Like This", "Limitless", and "Walking the Wire/Largo". I like their "A Million Dreams" a lot, but I think it would have been better with cello and percussion added in. The reason I took a star off this album is DNA. I didn't even listen to it all the way through. It was terrible. I hate rap, and anything remotly close to it. I listen to the piano guys for classical crossover, and DNA certainly doesn't fall into that category. Have I already said it was terrible? The reason I only took one star off is because there are stilll songs in the album I like, and buying the whole album and deleting DNA is still cheaper than buying only the songs I like. On a non-TPG note, I purchased Rewrite the Stars as a single before limitless was released, and used complete my album to purchase limitless. Now the only way for Rewrite the Stars to appear in the same album is to manually change the metadata in iTunes. Please fix this apple so that you can download the album version if you have other songs form the same album.

1. Assess anew - I like the voices in Il Divo. Some I'd like to hear solo. That's the problem. From the title song to Stay [the one by Shakespear's Sister] these have all been sung by equally talented and uniques voices such as Chris Isaak [Wicked Games] or Ewan McGregor [Come What May as counterpoint to Roxanne—devastating!] But these productions here homogenize such gifts into embalmed, overstuffed pretension that changes all the lyrics to Italian like somebody's idea of opera and drags tempo to sound like somebody's idea of classical. Pretensions that forbid elegant accompaniment by or instruments lest the background music become distinguishable.Pretensions that lull listeners into watered down versions of world-changing talent as well as the art simulated, that sell easily because they never challenge, never thrill. This sonic beige is called tasteful because it has no taste, no smell; it just lies there, thinking of England. Test yourself a little by trying an album of popular tenor arias; look up these songs here in their original, unfettered performances, relax to authentically classical works by Chopin, Mozart, or Satie. Have a little fun with Google finding "torch singer" or "cello and marimba" songs that are personal, beautiful, and otherwise hidden here because they don't fit a pre-ordained genre that sells easily, like pop. Listen to the piece for longer than seconds before fast forwarding in search of the familiar Gerber's that 's crammed into your ear by targeted advertising from the minute you first buy Il Divo or Like a page on Facebook. And if you still find nothing as good, come back, and, for Il Divo's sake, demand that each of them be allowed to release a solo album without Clive Davis forcing them into teeny bopper pop dance formulas. Fight the pernicious marketing that drowns you in mindless noise that drove you to Il Divo in the first place. It'll be fun.

2. Kind of 'meh.' - Their voices have always been outstanding, but the arrangements on their records are so tacky usually. Just like Katherine Jenkins--fantastic potential, horrible production. They neutered "Time To Say Goodbye" just like she did, e.g. Zero drama. Zero elation in the way they sang it. For a truly breathtaking "populist" classical experience try Sarah Brightman's "Time To Say Goodbye." It's a -year old record and its still the best in its class. Or Hayley Westenra or one of Andrea Bocelli's earlier records.
2012-03-03
3. Beautiful and Inspiring - I have purchased every album released by Il Divo, and traveled great distances several times to see them in concert. Even though I don't understand most of the words they sing, their music lifts my soul--especially the soaring voice of Carlos. I just wish they would record an entire album in English. -- Judy

4. Amazing - Ok, I'll admit, I perfer hard rock/heavy metal, and rap/hip hop over classical/opera, but these guys are AMAZING! If you're new to this style of music (like myself), I would recomend listening to their songs in English first so you can get an idea of what they sound like. The songs I recomend for someone new to them would be Wicked Game, Mama, and Ti Amore. I really enjoy their music
2011-12-04
5. Beyond the Vocalizations of Il Divo's Divinty!! - Without question, this is Divo's most powerful album of their career. The power of their vocalizations exceed even the deep, depthful chambers of the halls of the Benedictine and Gregorian chants. Although, I was a little taken aback at the first tune of "Don't Cry for me Argentina", however, even as I remember other artists who have sung the classic as Andrew Lloyd Webber made popular on stage, even I have to admit that I would prefer Il Divo's portrait of Webber's musical baby. With a foreign language version of "Come What May", it had a surprising start of harmony and tune, in my opinion. I do like it very much as much as the Mario Frangoulis version had only English lyrics, but there's just always something about a song in either language other than English that I like more better. I just like hearing music in other languages so as to increase one's ability to not only sing in it but to also speak it more better. Sometime's it's better to culture yourself through music of its country's origin. "Time to Say Goodbye", heh, that is one song that I don't think there is not one music artist alive today would screw up or mess up, despite the difference in vocal stylings. That's a song that is right there beside Turandot's "Nessun Dorma". All the while, a great album is just as great as the voice or (voices) behind it. "Wicked Game"- even the title to the album's first song gives a taste of a "haunting" abode to it; it rather delves one's senses into a surreal and ethereal beauty of music's "other side"; using these same words, I say the same for "Senza Parole",
my favorite one on the whole entire album. If you listen more than once to it, you can feel a "fire" in not only its melody but in the deep, bassy beautiful voice of Carlos giving it a taste of something entirley and eternally immortal; I have found that this song will never leave my memory until the day I die; for "Llorando,Crying" is where they stepped inside of a grand cathedral and began the "chanting" of the divine that is the gift which is the golden voice of HIS Divo's. Hearing this song alone can give you a sense of calm and ease.
So, to finish this review, this is not only their most powerful album but most of all, the most dramatic.
It is an album that is completely not of this reality but of a peaceful and calmer one where only you can be surrounded by a glorious change of place and sound.
And to the many fans of Il Divo, take my word for it, I have felt this before and you will love it. And to the great voices that is Il Divo: you have exceeded yourselves well beyond the divine. You should give yourselves a new artist name: The Glorious.

6. '''Is the best album we've ever done'' -Urs Buhler- Il Divo Tenor - Mr. George, they sell records because the are Il Divo... and if you don't like the songs they sing... (as we can see in your comment) pr the songs you love and Il Divo ''ruins'' so why do you listen them... well i know there so many talented artist... but don't say ''truly'' as comparing with Il Divo... plese. And I recommend to you to listen all the Il Divo albums... As Urs said... best albym ever... it is... Il Divo is geting better and better every year... Come on! But this album you won't be regret!! You will be thankful and just knowing the real music!! Il Divo the best!! There is no one good enough to copy Il Divo.... Can't wait to the World Tour! Love From Colombia xx!

7. Excllent Classic Music by four teners - These men are wonderful. They have a very gifted talent, not only to be able to sing, but to hold the notes, and to sing in a different language. If you believe the music that is out in America today is truly music, (given some is good) but the majority is not. These men are truly blessed. Anybody that thinks otherwise should keep their opinon to themselves. It's rare to find teners let alone teners who can sing other languages. If you love classical music Il Divo is for you. For those of that enjoy classical it is truly wonderful and soul filling.

8. out of Winners on this CD! - There have been a couple of Il Divo's CD's that weren't solid winners, but this one is definitely NOT one of those! Every song sounds like voices from the heavenly host...whether bright and brilliant or bold and mighty! Definitely a must-have for any Il Divo fan, or any lover of beautiful music.
2011-11-11
9. Awful - This album is awful! There's no creativity on it, there's nothing new... Only four guys covering/destroying some good songs originally sung by more talented people. You only have to notice that Simon Cowell label is behind this album, so that it's easy to understand that the tracks of Wicked Game are just an excuse to make money from a disaster release. Buy the original versions of these songs, not Il Divo ones. I recommend Shakespeare's Sister 'Stay', Chris Isaak 'Wicked Game' or Moulin Rouge 'Come What May'. A waste of money!
2011-11-11
10. Il Divo Wicked Game - Tremendous - When I listened to Con Te Partiro, it reminded me of the rendition by Jimmie Hopper, and he was at the top of my list. I really liked the composition of the choices they made on this album, it appeals to a larger mass than there more Italian flavor prior albums. Tanto Gratzie

11. Il Divo ruins more songs I love - The subtitle of this album could be "Il Divo ruins more songs I love." They may be talented, but this is the worst kind of "classical" music there is: tasteless, overblown, overproduced, manipulative, commercial. I'll never understand how they sell records while so many truly talented and tasteful artists are struggling to be heard. But hey, if it's your thing I won't stop you from listening. They'll sell tons of copies.

1. ILOVE PIANO GUYS - I absolutely love there music it is like the regular pop songs but in classical form. I really enjoy classical music in general. I play the cello and piano and they use both so I have connections. When my mom showed it to me for the time I only played the piano. I also enjoy watching there videos. My favorite one is when they go to a nursing home and play "a Charlie brown meledy"NONE of the videos are ever the same ( they use same instruments) they always have a new creative theme. This pack is awesome because it includes some of their best songs.

2. The Piano Guys Awesome - This TPG album is just as great as the preceding ones! The classical/pop crossovers and the movie themes are beyond amazing. Favorites include “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Okay”, “Celloopa”, and “Can’t Stop the Feeling”. Don’t hesitate to buy! These guys are refreshing and amazing!

1. Ancora - Undescribable!!!! This is their best album. If you only want to own one Il Divo album, this should be it. This work bursts with everything that the quartet is capable of singing...And of course in this album you will know the singer's voices and understand the influence that each has over the quartet.

2. Appreciative (Grazi Il Divo) - I have arrived late to the Il Divo scene but they are absolutely gorgeous and wonderful. I am a voice graduate myself and I can definately appreicate the work and dedication it takes to master the languages and emotion of the music. It is about time some real music is reintroduced to the world.

3. IL Divo - THE best thing Simon Cowell will ever give this poor beleagured planet! These men are such a rare find, i cant believe it. i am not an opera fan, this isnt opera! this is music for the soul. men may not like it, women would die to be there . including me Great work boys, Simon! please make more DVD/CD combos, you have to see these boys before you "get it".

4. Disturbing!!! - I received this CD as a gift. I wouldn't buy this. The Spaniard & the Frenchman should really persue solo projects as they truly have the best voices of the quartet. I can't stand these arrangements, especially when they all sing together...which is all the time. Too much going on for the senses to appreciate the musicianship. I had to turn down the volume. They don't sing as one; but four voices competing for the spotlight.

2. Their Music Soars - A year ago, I was in the hospital fighting for my life, and it was the music of Il Volo that got me through some of my scariest moments. These young men share their gifts with the world in a way that uplifts and enlightens all who hear them. Dio ti benedica, Ignazio, Piero e Gianluca!

3. Amazing! - The last time I bought an album was years ago. We were forced to do so for one song. Anyway, today I bought the whole album because I think these guys are amazing! Their voices are truly like candy for my days. I think their work with this album is far more than just another album you will buy; simple is art! It doesn't take much to really fall in love with their talent. I wish I could use one word to express how amazing these guys are, but they are without doubts, beyond what words can express. NP

4. I love these guys--they get better and better! - Everything these three young men do is awesome. Their voices are beyond amazing--what God given vocal cords, talent, and hard work can accomplish is so wonderful. I have purchased every album they have recorded and watch them every chance I get. Their voices are like hearing beauty itself. Amazing. I wish them happiness, success, and very long lives so that the rest of us can enjoy their voices.

5. Blown away! - I can't fathom the energy you would feel seeing these guys in person. To see them one day is at the top of my bucket list.
I've been a huge fan since the beginning of their rise.
I stood up in the bed the night I saw them on the PBS "takes flight" special.
phenomenal is understating severely.
can't wait to hear the rest of this tribute album.

6. The Universe is the Limit - A few years ago I tweeted Gianluca Ginoble that "The Universe is the limit" and he added it to his Twitter banner. My opinion has been verified as Il Volo continues to show us the breadth of their talent. This album, Notte Magica - A Tribute to the Three Tenors, will be an essential addition to everyone's Il Volo collection. Having seen the concert from which these songs were recorded, I cannot wait for the album release on September , . Their voices are breathtaking and these young men hold in reverence The Three Tenors. Placido Domingo stated (paraphrasing) that Il Volo, more than any other group that appeared in the years after The Three Tenors, has the potential to approach the high quality and talent of the maestros. This album is truly magical!

1. A Beautiful Masterpiece :) - I love how they play! You can here how passionate they are when they play each song. They are truly gifted musicians. This album is awesome and I’m always excited to hear the next song they record. They always have good taste by picking some slow songs but i really like when they pick the rock songs. So many good songs on this album like the white stripes, whole lotta love, eye of the tiger! Great album

2. From MainlyPiano - Let me preface this review by saying that the cello is my second favorite instrument (after the piano) and that I absolutely love it when artists have no musical boundaries. The latest album from the Croatian duo Cellos, "Let There Be Cello," achieves perfection in both areas. I had seen some of their videos, but this is the first album I’ve heard and I am completely hooked. I spent most of last evening watching Cellos’ YouTube videos and am just blown away by Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser’s mastery of their instruments as well as their fearless combinations of musical styles from classical to hard rock to movie themes and beyond. For example, how often do you find a medley of Beethoven and Led Zeppelin that really works??? This album also features two original compositions, which are also compelling. From driving rhythms to elegant, soulful ballads, these two young artists can do it all and do it all well. If you are new to Cellos’ music, you have to check it out! "Let There Be Cello" begins with “Concept,” one of the original compositions. Dark, intense and edgy, it’s a great opener and makes it obvious that this isn’t your typical classical music album! “Eye of the Tiger” by a cello duo? Oh yes, the rock anthem from some of the "Rocky" movies is in very good hands here with a driving beat and a level of excitement that sends it soaring. Wow! The brief and more experimental “Cadenza” is the second original piece. Their duo’s stirring arrangement of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” is one of the most heartfelt arrangements I’ve heard. I love this song, and the simplicity of this version allows the bittersweet melody to really sing. Perfection! And speaking of that, Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” is also given a gentle treatment that keeps the beautiful melody front and center. “Vivaldi Storm” returns to virtuoso excitement and power. “Whole Lotta Love (Medley)” begins with a section from Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and then one of the cellists veers off into Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love.” Before long, both are rocking out with a beat that makes it impossible to sit still while listening. Beethoven peeks in here and there, but this is really powerhouse rock! “Asturias Meets Carmen” is another fascinating medley that combines the Albinez piano (later, classical guitar) piece with themes from Bizet’s opera. Queen’s “The Show Must Go On” becomes even more of a heartbreaker as a cello duet - gorgeous! From that rock classic, we turn to John Lennon’s “Imagine,” played gently and simply, overflowing with grace and sincerity. The album closes with “Champions Anthem,” the official anthem of the UEFA Champions League - a triumphant ending to a magnificent musical achievement! If you have an appreciation for a wide variety of music and virtuoso performances, "Let There Be Cello" is a must-have, and I give it my highest recommendation!

3. Outright Awesome! - Cellos has done it again. They have created another gem of an album to listen to from beginning to end. Each song is a great ride. They have the ability to take any song and make it electrical via cello! Even songs that I might not otherwise listen to when sung with words become pure fun to listen to. Their live concerts are celebrations of music interpreted through cello, and they capture the same level of joy and intensity on this album.

4. laugh, cry, and dream - Two of the most talented musicians ever! Hysterically funny at times, both have a wonderful sense of humor, disarmingly charming, intelligent, and oh so talented...raw, emotional, and romantic. I wish them continued success and great happiness. Please stay true to who you are; and don't be manipulated or coerced into becoming someone else's idea of what you should be. You two are perfect just the way you are. forever a fan!

1. New Impossiblities Win! - I loved this cd. My marching band is actually basing our show off of Arabian Waltz. It's super hard to play but it's also wonderful to hear a high school band playing symphony music. We also do Vocussion in part of our show. It's really cool. This cd is just awesome! Yo- Yo Ma is amazing! Look for us at Bands of America National Championship! GO TWHS BAND! And New Impossiblities for making our show a winner! Arabian Waltz and Vocussion are my top choices.

2. Sugoi!!!! :D - If you are looking for classical music or pop related music, you should stop looking at this page right now. This is NOT a folk/world/pop album made for an easier listening (and i'm not saying these albums are not good) but an invitation to explore world music -from the silk road route- in it's real form. It's a fantastic alternative to more familiar, mainstream western music, and a way to understand a bit more the form and culture of different mindframes. Most of the tracks in the album are really good, but my favourites are these: Arabian waltz (this is such a cool dancing track!!!) Ambush from ten sides (cause it has a really good classical mood... and the combination of pipa sheng, guitar and cello is so innovative and great) the silent city, (it transmits immediattely the sensation of hugeness and loneliness of something so big as a city... this track i'ts TRULY unique) And finally, galloping horses. the pipa sounds so good and the last surprise of the track is FUNG cool!!!! This album is something special... P.s.- I invite you to hear the podcasts about this album. It will help you to understand a bit more the creation and inspiration behind these pieces. These podcasts are a must have also... Sugoi!!! :D

3. Incredible - This album is simply incredible. I could not stay in my seat or hold in my emotions as i listened to the absolutely genius Ambush from Ten Sides and Vocussion. Two incredible songs to cap off another extraordinary album. The return of Night at the Caravanesrai is welcome as well ) If you remotely enjoy world/classical music, this album is a must buy

4. Average - we expected more - Not bad, but not great. I would say average . We expected much more from this. It is enjoyable, but it came no where close to the expectations that we had based on the Yo-Yo Ma that we have in our collection. Yo-Yo Ma is one of our year old's favorite artists. He did not enjoy this as much as the other works that he listens to continuously.

5. Great Experiment - I have always wanted to hear the results of the Silk Road Project, and this is absolutely fantastic! It would have been great if the album included a digital cover with explanations on the music, unless there is one and I didn't see it. Please get it for us to learn more about each piece! Thanks.

6. Wonderful Music - It's hard to believe this is actually a symphonic orchestra with all the Middle Eastern, middle Asian, and far-east Asian music. I'm so happy that I downloaded this entire album. Not only did I add this to my Symphony playlist, but I also added it to two other play lists: Middle Eastern and Far Eastern (Only the music that is typical of those regions). When I first mentioned "It's hard to believe this is actually a symphonic orchestra" I am referring to the very beginning when I only heard pure Middle Eastern style sounds! LATER; however, the entire orchestra came out in other songs. Some of you will remember Ravi Shankar and the London Symphony Orchestra. This album is with that same idea (blending western instruments with eastern) This is really a special album and a joy to listen.

7. Beyond Excellent - If you like cinematic music, the kind that transports you immediately into a different state of mind, well then, this album will be on your favorites list. Very adventurous with such a great modern twist! I love the mixture of sounds; Yo Yo Ma, strings, guitars, asian percussion, horns, other asian traditional instruments. It is a refreshing landscape of color. Loved it.

8. Uniting the World - Yo Yo Ma and the Silk Road Project have single handitly united the East and the West. Fuising the best of both worlds. They have done more in their collaboration to unite us then what politicians do. Listem to the song, but go to their concerts and you are bound to sit next to someone that comes from the other side of world and you can learn their stories. This is a wonderful album and beautiful project.

9. Fabulous Artist - Ma is one of the premiere instrumental prodigies of our time. This is a wonderful juxtoposition of Eastern influences and the enduring classicism of Chicago's instrumentalists. Ma's mastery of the cello and his ability to emote musically make understanding this music much easier to the Western-trained ear. Overall a very good album.

10. INCREDIBLE!!!! - Yo Yo Ma has, single-handedly changed my entire perception of not only the cello but classical music in general. When my son started learning to play the cello a couple of years ago I was quite surprised. Even though I've always been fond of classical music, I'd thought that I'd be out in left field in terms of my ability to appreciate his chosen instrument because I'd thought that the cello was a rather limited instrument. I had been sadly mistaken. Yo Yo Ma's music has literally transformed my relationship to music through his amazing ability to cross over all cultures barriers that may exist between any of the musical traditions that he has chosen to embrace. Each new work of Yo Yo Ma's is more extraordinary than his last and this new album will surely please both new and long-standing fans alike. He is genius whose talent also allows him to bring a deep spiritual One World message to his sublime music and his work will continue to have an ever-broadening cross cultural appeal. I am grateful that he both exists and that he stands out radiantly through his gift to our troubled world.

11. Off the road silk - I truly enjoy Yo-Yo Ma, he's great. But this iTunes exclusive is not great, just ok. I liked 'Arabian Waltz', 'Night at the Caravanserai', and 'Vocussion' (it's impossible not to like, it has got great energy, and it's funny). Cause it's just one theme (some tracks just sound the same from others), maybe that's why I wasn't blown away. Give it a try, and give your oppinion, maybe it's better than I give it credit for. Good luck!

1. Studio or Live - I have read comments about the Studio vs. Live recording. I will interject one thing here, if I may. I have seen many concerts, I saw Barbra and Il Devo in concert. This is the real thing, for me the audience applause is a stimulus and also brings back the memory of the event, and the power of being there. Take a moment, close your eye and pretend, you just saved yourself a few thousand dollars. Il Devo in person is so powerful, it is unbelievable, so let the applause stimulate the senses.

2. Great Show - These guys are just unbelievable and how they were brought together years ago and have done what they have done is a testament to how talented they are. You have to listen to each singer closely to appreciate their full voices and what they contribute to each song. I'll take applause anyday when there is real talent singing.
2009-12-16
3. Nice Selection of Songs - But . . . - I think many artists think they can get a free pass by releasing a new cd from a live show and still charge . a song. For that amount of money I'm not happy about hearing applause between songs, I find it distracting. If I want to hear applause, I'll go to the show. It's a shame since it seems like a good cd, I'll wait until they go to the studio.

1. Blown away, holy llama cheese - What a talented musical group they are! I also saw their Evanescence songs. AMAZING!!! Is it possible for ANYONE to be so good? I especially liked Emergency, That's What You Get, and CrushCrushCrush (the latter being my favorite). Wow. Wow seems to be the best word I can say to describe this. :)
2011-01-03
2. :) - I'm embarrassed to say this, but I really like Paramore, and I love this, too. I play the violin, so I really like string quartet tributes (unlike SOME close-minded people...). I just wish Paramore hadn't gotten so popular. If they weren't all over the radio, I'd still wear my shirt proudly. But seriously, this is awesome. Love it.

3. Is there anything better?! - I know I sound like the average teen but paramore is my favorite band. I think Vitamin string quartet, hands down, got it perfectly. I'm a violin player so I know how hard it must have been. This album is definitly worth buying :) Even though it might not be the raging guitars everyone is used to, it gives a spin off of music we all love misery business - / needs more...
crushcrushcrush - / definite buy
pressure - / the quartet hit this song perfectly
emergency - / brought it down but gave it major feeling
hallelujah - / best of the entire album!!!!

5. It's okay but.... - NO!!!!!!!! PARAMORE IS BECOMING WAY TO FAMOUS! NOW POSER FANS WILL START LIKING THEM, AND PARAMORE WILL LOSE THEIR REAL FANS, AND THEY WILL CHANGE THEIR MUSIC TO BE ABLE TO KEEP GETTING MORE FAMOUS!!!!!!!!!! NO! ALL BECAUSE OF ALL THE STUPID TWILIGHT GIRLY FANS!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE PARAMORE NEVER CHANGE YOUR SOUND! I LOVE YOUR OLD SOUND! PS: ORCHESTA MIGHT HAVE SOUNDED BETTER!

6. LOVE IT! - I have to admit, I love this album! Paramore's songs are amazing bythemselves but when played by the strings, they sound truly magical. Even the original composition, Fast Fall, is good. The album is just plain awesomeness, but in my opinion they should have done other songs, too, especially Born For This.
2008-12-29
7. For Classical, it rocks, so does Paramore. - I think that for what they did here(converting rock to classical-ish) its really great! Some people think they should have put Hayley in there, but Paramore isn't Paramore without Josh, Jeremy and Zach. Therefore it wouldn't be that good. If like me, you prefer Rock to Classical then buy a few songs, not the whole thing. But its up to you.

8. HALLELUJAH! LOVE this song! - Okay. Guilty! I've heard this before and like this song but didn't pay attention to the song Hallelujah until I heard it done on a routine of So You Think You Can Dance. Okay, now I'm hooked. I only downloaded this song at this point and will listen to the others and decide. But, if anything like Hallelujah - I know this album won't disappoint.

1. Even Better Live! - I heard the master play several of these pieces with the NY Philharmonic last night. Both spectacular and achingly beautiful. He closed the first half with the tango from "Scent of a Woman" and brought the audience to their feet. I was delighted to find this album to buy for my violin playing year-old daughter, who attended her first classical music concert with me last night. Beautiful music beautifully played.

1. Amazing - The Silk Road Ensemble is so unique and amazing. As a very versatile musician who plays instruments from America, Ireland, Egypt, Australia, Africa, and so many other places, this kind of music appeals to me greatly. It's interesting to see so many different musical cultures overlap in such a beautiful way.

1. crying happy - I have waited for many years for this album literally checking frequently..
some of Hauser's classical concerts are astounding...visually and performance wise he is the connoiseur's choice....with exceptional prhasaing anad living passages of the Heart not less, no less. Bravo! More....The Mozart Clarinet and (MY god!) the Mozart Piano concerto nd movement!!!!! (wildly beautiful!!!!!)...only true classical buffs can understand the magic here....Music like this is not academic or for the dying it is for the young and young at heart.....RADIANT!

2. Timeless classics and HAUSER! - I bought this today and I am so happy I did. It has many favorites of mine, but also songs I did not know that I knew, like Racmaninov's nd Piano Concerto, which had to be the inspiration for "All By Myself" (Briget Jones movie, Eric Carmen). Really pleased with this set and Hauser's sound is soothing and peaceful but has depth to play the more somber notes as needed. Love him! Met the Two Cellos at a show and they were the best guys. Just nice, funny, sweet, charming... Lovely work, Hauser!!! BRAVO!

1. Lady Gaga - People who think Lady Gaga music is crap and Vitamin String Quartet takes it to make it better. That is not how it goes. They take the songs that people really respond to Lady Gaga's music. They are redoing the songs that are the most popular now-a-days. So do not think they are taking crappy songs and making them into great work of classical art.

2. GaGa for VSQ - I heart VSQ and Lady Gaga!!! A combination I've been waiting for... Favs on this album are Bad Romance, Telephone, LoveGame, Eh, Eh... Bad Romance with strings is totally whimsical and theatrical like a side show carnival full of thieves and acrobats...headlining Lady GaGa...enjoyable!

3. strings are very boring!!!! - Typically I think strings in large amounts are painful to listen to! Yet the Vitamin String Quartet makes it pretty good! 1. From MainlyPiano - A new album from The Piano Guys is always an event, but "" is a celebration of the ten years the group has been together, looking at where they have been as well as where they are going next. The album is available as a two-disk set (as CDs, for streaming or as a download), and as a “deluxe” three-disk set that includes the two CDs and a DVD. The two CDs include fifteen newly-remastered fan favorites from the past decade and twelve tracks that include brand-new songs and some that have never been released before on CD. Many of the tracks are medleys of two or more pieces, often mixing in bits of classical music. Beethoven’s “Fur Elise” becomes “Fur Elise Jam,” Chopin’s “Raindrop Prelude” is juxtaposed with Selena Gomez’s “Lose You To Love Me,” and Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” is paired with Beethoven’s “Sonata Pathetique” (the nd movement), to name only a few. One of the bonus tracks is “Better Days,” written (mostly) and sung by Al van der Beek that tells of his own struggle with COVID-. The DVD features a collection of some of the amazing videos The Piano Guys have released over the past ten years, some of which are new. To call the album “incredibly varied” only scratches the surface. It showcases the jaw-dropping musicianship of pianist Jon Schmidt and cellist Steven Sharp Nelson and clearly demonstrates why The Piano Guys have become such a musical phenomenon with their videos streamed literally BILLIONS of times. In addition to their best-selling recordings and breath-taking videos, The Piano Guys have played in sold-out concerts all over the world. Their story begins in a piano store in St. George, Utah called The Piano Guys. Paul Anderson, owner of the store and the first of the “Guys,” was looking for an innovative way to market his pianos. He started a YouTube channel and a Facebook page with the idea of engaging potential customers with entertaining music videos that featured the pianos in his store. Pianist Jon Schmidt literally walked into the store and asked if he could practice on one of the store’s pianos for his concert that night. Paul explained his idea to Jon, who already had a successful solo career going, to see if he would be willing to do a video promoting both his music and the store. Cellist Steven Sharp Nelson had performed with Jon quite a few times and came onboard as well. Steven moved into the same neighborhood as Al van der Beek, who had a recording studio in his home. Steve and Al started writing music together and the new group started recording in his studio. Al became the vocalist, producer and songwriter for the group, and Paul is a producer and videographer. It’s a pretty amazing story about an amazing group that continues to grow and expand their musical horizons while expressing the joys and passions of making music together. If you are a longtime fan, you’ll love "", and if you are new to The Piano Guys, this is a great place to start!

2. Phenomenal! - This album is truly a celebration of everything The Piano Guys have accomplished in the last years. The convoluted musical nuance used to intricately blend classical elements with modern hits is truly astounding. Every song has its own mood, bringing about a plethora of feeling and emotion while experiencing each piece of music. The remastering of familiar tunes from previous years brings out the beautiful raw and natural sounds of both the piano and cello. Absolutely phenomenal!
