S-Town is a podcast hosted by Brian Reed from Serial Productions, a New York Times company. The story follows a man named John who despises his Alabama town and decides to do something about it. He asks Brian to investigate the son of a wealthy family who's allegedly been bragging that he got away with murder. But when someone else ends up dead, the search for the truth leads to a nasty feud, a hunt for hidden treasure, and an unearthing of the mysteries of one man's life.

1. True crime - fans make me sick. Murder isn't supposed to make anyone money or be for entertainment. Do any of you listeners ever imagine it happened to you or your families? There are funny episodic serials that talk about all the absurdity of life like the podcast Community News with Pail and Sasha or listen to Dana Carvey tell SNL stories on Fly on the podcast.

2. Life changer - I listened to this show when it first came out. Then I listened to it again. I don’t know why it struck such a chord with me, but it did. I’ve listened to it five or six times, all the way through, by myself. I have also put it on during long road trips with my wife. Another trip I took with my son, as well. I have a sundial and roses tattooed on my arm because of this show. I am probably going to keep a downloaded copy, just in case the RSS feed goes down for some reason. Just such a powerful story and a powerful message.

3. Unlike anything I’ve every experienced - I have listen to this podcast over times now. The storytelling is phenomenal and I get something different from the show each time I listen. To understand and be apart of this story in even such a small way, is such an amazing feeling. And that’s what Brain Reed does; makes you feel like you are right there, discovering and dissecting John’s life. Highly, highly recommend the show. It will forever be a podcast that I can turn on when I’m feeling lonely or just need the company of familiar friends.

4. My comfort podcast - I know that my title is strange if you’re familiar with this podcast, but as someone from the rural south, I relate to John so very much. IYKYK, I suppose. I’ve listened to this podcast probably six times, and I always weep and laugh. This is an amazing story about a fascinating and interesting man and community.

5. Great but you didn’t get justice! - Clearly they killed the guy. Did he have gold? you wonder?? He gilded a quarter right in front of you!! You were amazing (like human sodium pentathol good) at getting people to talk but YOU DID NOT FIGURE OUT WHO KILLED HIM. (????) I call for a new investigation into the murder.

6. Don't waste your time - This podcast was just a train wreck. Brian put resources into researching a story and when nothing came out of it, he decided to make a podcast anyway. . The preview misleads you completely about what kind of story you’re getting yourself into. . Outing someone's sexual orientation (even postmortem) is not acceptable. . Wandering. Brian won't draw a conclusion or provide the context of his thoughts surrounding the events that he's talking about. More narration might have helped the story but as there's not much of a story in the first place I wonder if that would have even helped. . Going into the depths of John B's private life after his death and sharing it without his consent so you can make a living is skeevy in the least and grave robbing in the worst. This crossed the line from reporting to profiteering.

7. Incredible - I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts. This is my favorite podcast ever! I was hesitant to listen to anything from the NYT. Most of their podcasts have a predictable agenda. But it didn’t look like this one did, so I looked it up. I’ve never done that before listening to a podcast, but I did not want to get sucked into a good story (as noted in the reviews) and have to endure the NYT far left nonsense. I was still skeptical, but binged this in one day, so glad I gave it a chance. I’m blown away by the story, and have so much respect for the host and production team. Thank you! No underlying political slant, no digs or subliminal judgments, no use of the story to make a point. This is the story of an eccentric, brilliant man, tortured by his worst enemy: himself. Though he be cranky, he was beloved. Funny, witty, endearing…and impossibly self destructive. He just never learns how to get out of his own way. It’s the story of hidden treasure, a story about time, a story about love and friendship, and a story about the psyche of people from all walks of life interacting at the intersection of a common event. Mostly, it’s the story about the parts of ourselves we leave behind; how our lives effect the lives we cross. And, how they effect us. It’s brilliantly told, masterfully edited, and artfully framed by a song from The Zombies, A Rose For Emily. I was left with questions regarding the money, the fate of people and court cases, his mom, and honestly Woodstock itself and how the town reacted, and hopefully reflected. Maybe there will be an update, but either way I’m sure these answers can be found online. It’s hard to review this podcast without giving spoilers. But the bottom line is, it’s an amazing podcast. I’ve listened to every episode of dozens of podcasts. This is my favorite podcast ever. Absolutely !

8. This podcast is amazing - I love this podcast. I’ve listened to it several times. I find myself thinking of the characters often, john B even more of course. He was an intriguing man who was overqualified for this world. I do wonder if there would have been a podcast if not for his death, sadly. Brian, thank you so much for sharing your time with John B, I will forever be grateful for this podcast as I’ve not only enjoyed it but learned from it as well.

1. Congratulations - Mayra SO freaking happy for you . girl ! I was worried for you and all the emotions you’ve been going through and cause you were laying low I was worried you were getting sad and it all kind of makes sense now you were kind of always snacking I’m saying that in a oh it makes sense now not in a rude way. Only thing that maybe gave it away was the weight gain but not even I thought karina was just getting smaller bc of her bypass thing making you look different.
2023-03-02
2. Karina needs her own podcast - I’m so sorry Mayra is going through whatever life is doing her, but talking about it each episode is getting repetitive of the same topics about your grief. Not only that but mayra cuts off karina a lot or karina spoke about a topic and mayra says the same thing podcast ago..
2023-02-21
3. Loveee!! - Currently dealing with depression and anxiety. Listening to there podcast really helps me get distracted and laugh! It makes me feel like I’m hanging out with my friends! I live in Vegas with just my hubby and I don’t have any family here which makes me feel lonely. Listening to the podcast makes me feel like I’m talking to my sisters. I love this podcast. It also makes you cry a lot lol
2022-12-01
4. Best show ever - I was never in to podcast I had even deleted the app from my phone. But girl!!!!! I think I saw a clip on TikTok or something like that and I fell INLOVE U guys obviously know are on ep I think I have started from day and amazing my time at work goes by so fast I laugh so much amazing show

5. genuine - Genuine. That’s the perfect word to describe you two. Literalmente the only podcasts I listen to are true crime but it gets so depressing I wanted to listen to something different that would help me feel calm and okay and this is it. I’ve listed to episodes alone today during my entire work shift my lunch and now on my drive home. This podcast feels like a nice chisme session that’s so wholesome and sweet. Like Karina I’ve loved you for your slime forever ago, also Mayra I recognized Karina from seeing how you had a twin from your IG stories. Lo lamento mucho por tu angelito en el cielo. Dios lo bendiga hoy y siempre y a tu familia. Karina blessings to you y Mia I appreciate you all giving me something to look forward too it’s so cool to see you both working together. I started from episode currently on episode and I’ll keep going that way in chronological order til I catch up lol

6. The best! - I’ve been a subscriber of both of you for years! I have never left reviews but I absolutely enjoy you both! I listen to you guys every chance I get, while I’m cleaning, washing dishes, or just while doing anything around my house. You make me laugh, I cried with your parents, as a fellow Mexican you are totally relatable! Love you guys
2022-10-16
7. Family Values - I absolutely love your podcast! This episode with your parents had me laughing and crying. The spooky episode gave me chills because some of the things y’all shared, I’ve also experienced but your parents episode had to be my favorite so far! Keep it up chicas, you’re doing amazing!!
2022-10-15
8. Parents Episode - I love all your episodes but the latest one with your parents has to be my favorite one. It felt nice to hear your parent story. Please bring them back again!!!!! 1. Way too much ab how to become an influencer - Why are so many of the episodes ab how to succeed as an influencer? No one actually cares ab that. Stop listening to your millennial team (cough TK cough) this is not what gen z cares about, and to be candid you guys don’t really know how it is now. If you hadn’t started a decade ago, I’m not sure you would’ve made it during this era I miss the old content:/
2022-10-22
2. Stop talking about OG YouTube. - This podcast is good but I’m so tired of talking about OG YouTube! All of the convos somehow go back to being an OG, how seriously Alisha takes YouTube, etc. I understand wanting to talk about things that impact you but I cannot listen to this same topic over and over again. These convos aren’t evolving with your audience. I do not particularly care about OG YouTube or the hard parts of being a creator. I have no desire to become a creator. If you want to have those topics please dedicate an episode to it so those who are interested can listen and those who aren’t know the topic!
2022-10-16
3. uh - It takes a lot for me to say this, as Remi is a woman of color, but after the past couple of episodes, it has become evident that for both Alisha and Remi, it’s impossible to recognize their privilege. Alisha and Remi continuously use AAVE; Remi has continued to go to Hawaii after years of ingenious people of that land have been begging people to stop. Then proceeds to go to the dole plantations, please anyone with Brain, please go look up the history of Dole. They were then comparing their influencing jobs to -. Some teachers can not afford supplies for their classroom, but Remi can afford a $ smoothie daily.
2022-10-12
4. Impending Friendship Breakup - I know Alisha gets a lot of flack, but I’ve been listening for a few years and feel like Remi has become super rude lately. She mocks anything Alisha says or does wrong, constantly holds it over her head, and usually plays devils advocate when Alisha brings up literally anything. It’s like Remi is playing AGAINST Alisha rather than with her. I think Alisha has been doing a brilliant job and I’m loving her thoughts lately and how internal she’s being, but I miss how smooth this friendship used to be on the podcast.
2022-10-10
5. Missed opportunity for relatability. - Alisha, for you to be able to comfort yourself by thinking people were tagging you to hear the opinion shows how out of touch you come off sometimes. Remi, maybe it’s because you’ve never had a job outside of social media, but heads up, it’s beyond common for people who work “regular” jobs to stay awake at night stressing about work. This was a hard topic for you guys to bring up and, unless you could hit it out of the park with your opinions, I think they were better left unsaid. After listening- it’s clear that you guys don’t understand the reason everyone is insulted by the original tik tok.
2022-10-06
6. “Is It Too Late to Reach Out” Really Helped Me - I’ve been diving back into Pretty Basic HARD lately. This most recent episode about reaching out was scarily too accurate to what I’m experiencing in life right now. I value this episode so freaking much like more than I think I’ll ever know. I just wanted to deeply and oh so sincerely say thank you to Remi and Alisha for this episode because it’s helped me more than they’ll ever know

7. Read the room :/ - It pains me to write this because I care for both of these girls, but I’m having such a hard time relating to their privilege and lack of nuance. Of course it’s good to be positive and try to spread joy, but read the room a little and be mindful of the audiences that you are influencing please. Your privilege can be alienating and your view on certain topics can be a limited and unrealistic at times.
2022-08-21
8. Not bad! - Their conversations are pretty fun to listen to! Even so, I don’t think I’ll continue to keep up because there are a lot of ads and sometimes multiple sponsorships in each podcast that interrupt the flow of the conversation. I understand they want to make money off this show but It’d be nice if they could tone it down. Just not for me.

1. Jaci and Chelsea are my long lost best friends - since first listening to this podcast , I have to say I have found no better two women to give me advice, laugh with, entertain, and be influenced by. Thank you for being so genuine, well spoken, and having the most inspiring outlook on life. You have helped shape my own understanding of life and relationships, this is the BEST PODCAST!

2. stars only always - To give these two any less than stars is truly an abomination. The humor, the convos, the relatability is /. I love listening every week and if I ever forget (which is rare) then I’m stoked the next week when I get to listen to two instead of one. It’s not their job to tiptoe around topics that some people might have strong opinions on or sensitivity to. It’s a listener’s personal choice whether to tune in or not, but to give them less than stars based on reasons totally unrelated to Chelsey and Jaci, seems like a personal problem… VVGs get stars from me always
2023-03-01
3. Full of contradictions? - Edit:
I officially stopped listening in January as it was becoming extremely materialistic and not meaningful at all. I even stopped watching vlog uploads which I used to love but drew the line when it was said that “I got my spray tan and now all my problems have gone away..” that was the tipping point. I hope you girls are truly living fulfilled lives deep down and not distracting yourself with the insignificant and superficial aspects of society. —— I don’t understand…you girls encourage young women to be confident and to love themselves but then you guys self-criticize your own looks and aesthetics physically? How are girls supposed to feel confident and beautiful when you are looking to fix everything on your face and what essentially makes you, YOU? I am not shaming Jaci for the plastic surgery but there are so many inconsistencies in your content and what you girls encourage vs what your actions say. Also you are encouraging this new standard of beauty that has been set where girls with waxed/threaded eyebrows, lip fillers, and voluptuous hair etc is what is seen as true beauty. Again, I am not saying these things aren’t ok. We should feel every right as women to be pampered and take care of ourselves…but not be dependent on it to make us happy and feel whole. Please understand that to a certain extent you are directly contributing to an unrealistic and saddening standard of beauty that makes other young women and girls feel extremely insecure.

4. Stopped Listening - I was a listener since day . I think Jaci and Chelsey are great girls and probably people I would be friends with in real life. Around a year ago, I found myself getting bored and stopping episodes halfway through. That continued week after week, and then a couple months ago, I just stopped listening. I still download the episodes in case I run out of content to listen to, but that hasn’t happened yet. I can’t really pinpoint what happened, but it felt like they were just talking about the same thing every week. You can only give tips on how to live your life so many times. I think we all probably know what we SHOULD do to be our best selves. It’s just a matter of whether or not we do it. I’m just tired of hearing about it from two people whose lives are so dramatically different from mine. And I don’t mean that in a bad way. I work in social media for a business, so I understand and appreciate its value.

5. Such a fun listen! - I LOVE What We Said! I’ve been listening from the beginning and recently have been really loving their episodes lately! They are the perfect thing to put on while taking my kids for a walk, doing laundry and while going for a drive! I highly recommend listening! Jaci and Chelsey have great chemistry and make listening enjoyable and fun!
2023-02-25
6. Fun & Entertaining - Whenever I turn on this podcast I feel like I am talking with my friends. I love the different perspectives not only that Chelsea and Jaci give, but also the guests they have on. I always am so entertained when listening and feel like I also get something new out of each episode. Love listening every week and enjoy them both so much! I love how real Jaci and Chelsea are, and it makes me feel like I’m not the only one thinking the things they are thinking! Cannot recommend enough
2023-02-24
7. Let Jacie talk :) - I feel like with these last few weeks I’ve noticed chelsey does not give jacie some time to talk lol. Once chelsey starts, it’s almost like she has to explain every single sentence, meaning, etc into another paragraph and never ends. Love the podcast, but it’s making it feel more like jaci is more distant from the podcast in a way.
2023-02-22
8. Chelsey - I love Chelsey so much. She is the realest most authentic human and I wish I was friends with her in real life because I could use someone like her being a supportive friend. She is not afraid of sharing the struggles of life which can be hard to come by- influencers who are super real. I could listen to her talk about the female experience and so many other things for hours. We love you chels!!!

1. Awesome Rabbi Mordecai Finley episode! - I have been listening to your podcast since you have been putting them out, they all are good; but the Finley podcast was mind blowing. I have listened to him before he’s a wealth of knowledge and wisdom, if you can and he’s willing please try and get him back on… believe me he’s got more knowledge to share.
2023-02-10
2. Yikes - Definitely no Rogan & seems to think pretty highly of himself- seems like every actor has a podcast now and wants to grow an empire but you cannot be so egotistical and expect us little people to listen. This guy wants to turn every conversation with everyone on his cast into a discussion of himself/his experiences. If you just wanna talk about you, don’t bother with guests, they’re just a vehicle and they have to realize it.
2022-12-29
3. More than just entertaining - Podcasts are often entertaining, but this podcast is more than that, it’s important discussions with exceptional people. These ordinary yet exceptional people, sharing their experiences, mistakes, wisdom & commitment to being the best version of themselves, this is so important. It’s the only podcast that I feel truly moves my heart. Jon, what a legacy you’re giving this world. You are gifted in your ability to not only find fascinating people to interview, but your interview style is so niche and rare. Thank you. Please keep these interviews coming.
2022-12-15
4. Stands out from the rest - This is an awesome podcast because Bernthal interviews authentic, real-world people. He's not interviewing boring celebs who live in fantasy worlds. There is, although, room for improvement. - Bernthal needs to introduce who he's interviewing, tell us who they are and how you know them. - Some of the people interviewed are so ghetto I cant understand what theyre saying. Obviously there isnt a way you can fix that besides interviewing coherent people.

5. You guys saved my life - I just want to thank both of you so much. You saved me from killing myself. I hurt my neck and back a while ago and it has caused me to spiral into an emotional turmoil that I feel like there is no escape from. I am drinking a fifth of vodka a day or more, and it’s tough to know the problem and how to fix it, but be unable to. I’m from Detroit and was raised to be tough, and being anything less is unacceptable in my mind. But your show, John, and your story Nick, resonates with me in a way I wish I could explain and express. So, just…thank you. I need to be the man I know I can be for my fiancé and daughter, and your show and your story is helping me realize that. I just feel so guilty. I’m better than this. Thank you for your guidance.

6. Life changer - The first episode I listened to was Shia LeBeouf was absolutely life changing. His realness and transparency along with how he describes things punched me right in the face. I needed to hear someone be that honest. So much of this parallels my life. I’m years old and this is the first time I’ve faced many things after hearing this. If anyone from the podcast sees this tell those involved thank you. This is tearing me up but I can feel healing and growth coming.
2022-11-05
7. Richard Cabral - That was absolutely one of the most influential podcast I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. I connected in so many ways that it’s been on my mind so heavy . Thank you for helping shed light on things that so many of us have endured. It’s gives hope when you see others have made it . The emotions he was feeling radiated through the mic . And struck a cord that I didn’t know was still yearning to be heard . You said so many things I’ve felt been never knew how to articulate. And for that I am truly grateful.

8. Wow - I just listened to the one with Richard Cabral and we couldn’t be farther apart. He grew up in gangs , and prison and I am in the Bible Belt midwest, homeschooled and now a mom and working every day running a restaurant . Living the Suburban life but I am so touched by his story. The part about him saying maxing out in everything in your life I found so inspirational and so profound . And being present and just live your kids . Thank you for bring these stories out to the world.

It’s a question we ask (and get asked) all the time: “How are you?” And normally we just respond with “Fine!” even if we’re totally dying inside, so everyone can go about their day. But it’s not always all that fine, is it? “Terrible, Thanks For Asking” is a show by author Nora McInerny that lets real people get real honest about how they’re really doing. It’s sometimes sad, sometimes funny, and almost always both. Produced by Nora McInerny and Feelings & Co.

1. Should I have kids - Wow this episode is ME! She said everything that I feel and it’s so nice to see there are others who think the EXACT same way I do. I’m and can’t decide if I want kids or if it’s something that society has made me feel like it’s something I have to do. I’m feeling pressure by my age and know that my timeframe is getting smaller and smaller. I love my life as it is now but I know how amazing it is to have a family unit. This episode was by far the one that has impacted me the most. Thank you.
2023-03-02
2. Do you like questions? - If you like questions? You’re gonna LOVE this episode? I know I like questions? Because when you like questions? You always ask them? Even if what you’re saying isn’t a question? Totally not at all? And that’s hard?? This could be an actual transcript of the host talking in every single episode. I cannot believe she talks for a living and can’t hear herself ending every sentence in a question mark. Utterly unbearable. Even if the stories were still good. Which…they aren’t. It’s basically just other people selling their memoirs now.

3. I came because I grieved. I stayed because I am learning more empathy. - I cannot emphasize how much this show has helped me grow as a person. I went through a personal tragedy and found the show by chance. Nora’s sensitive nature, wrapped in her unique sense of humor and personal outlook on life — neither too optimistic nor too cynical, helped me find solace and later, as I found more help, helped me understand other people’s point of view. So grateful for this show.
2023-02-18
4. Voice getting worse - I’ve been listening to TTFA for years. I remember having my adult daughter listen to one particular episode that I thought she would connect with, and her takeaway was that even though the content was compelling, the host’s voice prevented her from wanting to hear more. She said she couldn’t relate to a woman in her ’s talking with a Valley Girl voice. At the time, I defended Nora and her delivery; however, now that mode of delivery has intensified many times over and is just too distracting and comes off as so affected. It’s a shame - such a great concept that has been ruined by a choice of delivery.
2023-02-08
5. Gets worse and worse - This show just gets worse and worse. There are countless lies in every episode. And nearly every person interviewed has put themselves in the position they are in but blame others. More importantly the host is always telling people to “be kind”. She is the least kind person I have ever encountered. I am % certain that she was someone that bullied people in school. So it’s rich that she thinks everyone should be kind except her. The majority of the world is kind. Stop living on the internet and you would know that.

6. Absolutely love this podcast - I do not remember how exactly i discovered this podcast but I’m so thankful that I did. In I had three important people pass away (my sister, my father and my best friend) all in the same year. It shook my world and I haven’t been the same since then. It was hard to put into words the exact feeling I was experiencing, I pretty much have been trying to figure out what was wrong with me since. This year I stumbled upon the TTFA podcast while finding something to listen to on my morning walks (I was taking to help with my mental health). With this podcast i discovered what was going on with me this whole time….. grief, I was grieving. I had never had someone important pass away before and it got piled on when the other two deaths followed so close together, I was pushed over the edge into grief a feeling i wasn’t familiar with and had no name for. Listening to this podcast has helped validate a lot of my feelings and helped me feel like I wasn’t alone and I was not losing my mind. I powered through all the seasons listen to it every chance I got. I finally finished all the episodes and am now caught up and listen to it as they come out. Thank you so much for providing a cathartic outlet. You don’t realize how much of an important role this podcast has played in my healing. I am so grateful

7. My husband Jung himself December , - My therapist recommended your podcast. It has helped me so much…especially the few on suicide. You truly have empathy and really “get” what very few do. As painful as it would be, I’d like to share my story to help others. My husband got severely depressed during Covid and working from home. Alcoholism and depression escalated and despite receiving help, he was not compliant. He hid it fairly well, but I suspected he was drinking behind my back and his mood swings were present. He hung himself while I was home and I found him. We didn’t live near family, so I was alone during interrogations (it was just a formality but horrible). There is a lot to my story. I’m able to work again as a teacher. But I am still healing and want others to know some things to expect.

8. PREMIUM SCAM - STOP BILLING US FOR THIS!! IT'S the third time I've tried to contact you. This is stealing. Taking advantage of people who are already feeling "terrible."
I WAS TRICKED into a monthly bill in order to finish the last mins of ONE mediocre podcast. I immediately requested cancellation. I've tried to login to delete my account but an email LINK IS NEVER SENT for login capability!!

1. Been with Jim's Campfire for almost a decade! - Some of the best paranormal content out there! Love this man and everything he does. Found him through Where Did the Road Go? almost ten years ago when Jim was a recurring guest on the show. There is some awesome campfire books to accompany this wonderful podcast too! Hope he is working on another one!

2. This podcast is my guilty pleasure! - I am the only person I know who is as into the paranormal as I am…and I even come from a family of believers. When I stumbled upon this podcast, I was delighted. Couldn’t get enough so I became a plus club member. I’ve only been listening since July , but I’m already back to mid- in older episodes. I listen anytime I’m driving or home alone and if you see an earbud in my ear, I’m definitely listening to Campfire. If you love the paranormal, you will love everyone's stories!

3. Love this show ! - years listening to Campfire and It is the Best spooky podcast in the world. I tried them all. I just don’t understand why some listeners have bad insulting reviews instead of sharing in polite way opportunities and ideas of improvement. Otherwise, commercials are necessary. So don’t criticize that part because all of us stick our heads onto television and accept all ridiculous pubs with big smile. Let the man feed his family and entertain us.

4. The Best Spooky Show - This is my absolute favorite paranormal podcast! I love people telling their own stories, and Jim always asks the best questions. If you’re looking for a sometimes spooky, sometimes comforting, sometimes out of this world paranormal podcast, look no further, this is the one. Plus there’s so much content, just listen!
2023-01-11
5. Great podcast! - Very professional and pleasant host. Of course this podcast is dependent on the caller telling the story. Not everyone can tell a good coherent story… Not everyone has the gift to spin even the most fascinating encounter or experience into a great story. Some callers hem and haw and we have to suffer through nonsensical ramblings and a lot of “Umm umm”. Not the host’s fault, and most callers are interesting. Love to listen on way to and from work.

6. Can’t Get Enough! - I’ve been a listener for years now, and there’s a reason for that! I do a hour drive very often, and this podcast is always what gets me through. The stories are interesting and usually really creep me out! (Who knew the Hatman was so common??) Plus, Jim has a great voice and personality to host a show like this, he really takes it to a new level. Can’t wait to listen for many more years to come!

7. Great spooky show I never miss an episode of - I love true paranormal stories. If you do too, this is your show. Jimmy knocks it out of the park each week and does a good job with the guests that call in. The only issue, and it’s minor, is the shows seem to be a bit top heavy. Meaning, the better stories are earlier on in the show. I understand why that would be, but near the end it it can get a little…bleh. However, you can’t always bet on that being the case because I’ve heard some bangers late in the episodes. So, it’s always good to keep listening till the end. The Campfire is one of my constants that I listen to year round. I listen while mowing, when working alone, on long or short trips, etc. No reason to not become a fan!
2022-10-24
8. DREAMS ARE NOT PARANORMAL. - Nothing paranormal, just women with rising inflections talking about “scary” dreams. ALMOST EVERY CALL IS A DREAM. They’re always “sensitive” to the paranormal, always have a podcast & Jim eats it up. The remainder are stories of road trips where someone saw a hitchhiker, water hammer misinterpretations and “feelings.”

Be There in Five is a pop culture and millennial zeitgeist-focused podcast by Kate Kennedy (entrepreneur, author, pop culture commentator). Long-form and solo hosted, Be There in Five explores different facets of popular culture in a comedic, thoughtful, and analytical way, covering entertainment, social media, bloggers/influencers, and celebrities, in addition to focusing on the humor found in reexamining the 90s/00s as an adult (from AIM to Zenon). As one listener described it, “come for the...

1. I love Kate - Kate is someone you start to listen to because of her quick wit and keen pop culture and social media observations, but you stay because she digs deep into the things that matter. She digs deep not only into the topics, but herself as well. She’s constantly challenging herself to be open minded and learn from listeners, which is refreshing. From her childless millennial episodes, to the losses we share and now with child millennial, I’ve loved listening and hoping for all the best things to come Kate’s way. She’s given a voice to so many emotions women go through and articulates it so well.

2. Going Downhill - I used to LOVE this podcast. Lately the creator is continuing to make excuses for poor quality / rushed / last minute recordings so she can make her deadlines to advertisers. It feels like she doesn’t actually care about the hours fans spend listening to her every week. She just wants to monetize the loyalty and goodwill at this point. It’s become lengthy personal rambles with little to no substance. I think Kate wants to focus on other projects her life like her book, family and tour. That’s ok, but there’s no need for fans to keep showing up with hours of dedicated time to listen to his podcast. Perhaps it’s time to end the show.

3. WWKKD? - Loved the latest episode, Beth Behavior. Kate’s takes are always thoughtful and often spot on. Came here for the Rachel Hollis Of It All, but stayed for Kate’s perfect mix of light banter and deep thoughts. The episode discussing the evolving standard of good manners in polite society, ended with a truly heartwarming poem imploring us to always give each other the B of the D (benefit of the doubt if you’re not yet a “Beth”) and is a great example of why hers is a must listen in my podcast rotation.

4. Millennial Musings - I really love this pod and Kate’s takes on millennial memories. It’s the best balance of s nostalgia, current pop culture, great interviews (and Taylor Swift). Every Sunday I put in my AirPods, clean my house and feel like I’m listening to a good friend talk to me that I don’t have to talk back to, while snorkeling through all of my favorite niche interests. Five starts, u rock don’t ever change. LYLAS
2023-01-24
5. Long-time listener, first time reviewer! - I’ve been listening to Be There in Five for close to two years now. Kate’s content feels directly targeted to me (fads, MLMs, girl-bossing too close to the sun, American Girl dolls), and I love having her shows on in the background. It’s just like having a casual chat with a friend!
2022-12-07
6. Miss the classics - I say this as a huge fan of the pod (patreon subscriber and I’ve been to a live show), but I really miss the long form solo deep dives, the ties to nostalgia, and the snorkeling episodes. Part of the magic of this podcast is that Kate does so well by herself, so I dont love the sister episodes, the friend episodes, or the interviewing of other people. Would love to see this podcast return to its roots in .

7. Look forward to this podcast every week - Kate is incredibly intelligent, serious, and funny in the best combination. She reminds me of things I forgot about, gives words to feelings I didn’t know how to express, and makes me feel validated in every topic she discusses. She has a rare gift and talent. This podcast is one of my favorite shows of all time and I make sure to tune in each week.

8. Love it! - The first episode I listened to was the deep dive about Rachel Hollis after seeing it recommended on Reddit. After that, I fell in love. I’m currently going back and listening to all the old episodes while also trying to stay in the loop with the new ones. I love the deep dives and Kate sharing her own stories. I love how long it is, I listen at work so it’s perfect for me. I also just joined the Patreon and am so excited to listen to all of those episodes as well!

Comments
1. subjectivity - i’m not one to ever rate and review which is why i’m so ashamed when i see a show, such as this, that is so nuanced and masterfully executed—crossing comedic and dramatic themes as well as all cultural( and biological) boundaries— still for whatever reason (i tend to think it a personal gripe, possible mistaken butt rating, or just plain bad taste) people can rate This Is Love (or Criminal) below five star—nevermind with one or two!?! i’ve been listening to this show from the beginning and all i can say is if you don’t like it then pheobe don’t need ya.
2023-02-18
2. Swept up in the joy - I don’t listen to many podcasts but I have literally been swept up in This Is Love. I sit in the carport for twenty minutes without getting out of my car because I can’t take a break from these stories. They are like finding secret treasures. I am listening backwards starting at episode . You’ve Got Mail, The Rescue, The Visitor, On the Way to Dinner, Among the Oak Trees, and Something Large and Wild are so of the most compelling stories I’ve ever heard. Thank you Phoebe and Lauren for this magical Gift. Frank

3. Great show - I love this show! My one complaint is that sometimes they release a rerun or an episode of their other show without denoting that it is a previously released episode or from another podcast in the title or notes. Sometimes you get minutes into the episode before they mention it, and in the meantime I’m thinking “this sounds so familiar…” Please start denoting replays for those of us who don’t have time for re-listens! If you do, I’ll give you a star back.

4. So much more than I expected - I first heard of Phoebe Judge and Criminal when Karen and Georgia gushed about her on My Favorite Murder and thought “I don’t need another podcast about lawbreakers”. Then, K &G had Phoebe on their show and I was hooked. To quote what countless others have said: I’d listen to her read the phone book. Her thoughtful insights and caring tone make for excellent listening. I loved that Criminal always had a thread of optimism despite the often dark material. Then, joy of joy, This is Love came out and delivers a full dose of Phoebe optimism. Phoebe’s voice is akin to a warm blanket. In This is Love, the material escalates the feeling to a world of warm blankets. As with Criminal, the first hand accounts and interviews are a delight to hear as Phoebe gently teases out the story.

5. Hooked then unhooked - I was hooked—going back to the beginning of the series so I didn’t miss one—until in the episode in Italy with the cat sanctuary in the ancient ruins and Phoebe says “I don’t like cats” to the senior lady who has—along with her now-deceased friend—devoted her time, money and kindness/caring for many years to these cats and the senior lady clearly is shocked and maybe even gutted at hearing Phoebe say this to her while recording for a podcast. Like, what? Speak your truth more gently to the gentle world, Ms Judge. “I have never been able to vibe with cats…” etc. There were so many ways to say it that wouldn’t have gutted that lady and after hearing you say this, I decided you really didn’t have much to teach about what love is.

6. So Inspiring - I love this podcast. Well told stories that are so inspiring! Phoebe asks great questions and always connects with the people she interviews. I highly recommend this podcast! The episode about Brenda Jackson was so wonderful, uplifting and then heart breaking at the end. Her story touched my heart.
2022-12-21
7. Laughing, crying, every time! - I just listened to an episode that had me in tears the entire time. I loved Criminal first and then followed to This is Love. And I’m not sorry about it! I love the way Phoebe interviews and has so much curiosity and empathy for the people she speaks with. The stories they pick are almost always so wonderful and heartwarming. Thank you for sharing these with the world!

8. Wonderful Stories!! - Dear Phoebe,
I am a total podcast junkie and yours is one of my top favorites! Having gone through such a nasty political season your stories are such a joy to listen to. Thank you so much for your lovely voice your wonderful stories and keep up the good work! You’re devoted fan…Valary

Circle Time with Kelsey Kreppel is the quintessential podcast for the digital age, pairing the childlike wonder and conversational openness of preschool with the realism, honesty and — ultimately — wisdom baked into adulthood. Listen to Kelsey and her guests rehash the standout moments of day-to-day life and dive into commentary on the buzziest moments in pop culture while going back to their classroom-structured roots.

1. Love Kelsey but the pod needs some work - Love Kelsey and her vlogs but this pod ain’t it sometimes. It’s more interesting and entertaining when she has guests but there isn’t much direction in conversation. Maybe prepare better questions? Sound more enthused? Also the LA vocal fry can get a little annoying. I can sit through the rambling but when I start to hear the low creaky vibrations through my headphones, I’m switching pods.
2023-02-21
2. the best podcast ever - maybe im biased because ive been obsessed with kelsey for the past years but this podcast is amazing. i look forward to it every week and i’ve listened to every single one. each episode cracks me up, helps me in different ways, and helps me get through chores or long drives- love ya kelsey
2023-02-11
3. Inspiring podcast!! - Kelsey is such a sweetheart! I’m so a younger listener but I like how many of the topics and life advice questions that Kelsey answers can apply to teenagers or prepare them for things they might experience in adult life. She’s great at offering insight and it’s easy to see how much she wants to help her listeners. I especially loved the most recent episode with Tabitha Brown- kelsey did an awesome job coming up with interview questions and tabitha is so inspiring; I especially loved the advice she gave on outgrowing friends. Kelsey is also so naturally funny and kindhearted which really shines through in all her episodes.
Thanks kels!! (PS: I’d love it if your family and/or your fiancé came on the pod as guests! That would be a lot of fun)
2023-01-03
4. Love Kelsey, but this feels forced - I’m a longtime Kelsey stan! I think she’s lovely, I watch all of her vlogs, and even bought her merch! She has such a natural, bright energy. But her solo episodes of Circle Time are tough to get through. She shouldn’t have a pop culture segment because she seems terrified to give her honest opinion on anything, even what she thought of the White Lotus finale. No matter what she’s talking about, it always feels like she’s hesitantly sharing things she doesn’t want to share to fill the time, or holding back opinions because she’s so scared of any clap back. Totally fine if she doesn’t want to share, but if not, then what’s the point?
2022-12-27
5. Best.Podcast.Ever!!!! - this is the first podcast that i’ve been able to listen to without getting bored. kelsey’s episodes are always so interesting and i always want to hear about what she has to say. i’m looking forward to listening to more and i have to say that she’s totally killing it.
2022-12-13
6. Needs more substance - I think Kelsey can be funny at times from what I’ve heard on Cody’s podcast but there’s nothing of substance being talked about during this podcast.. just long episodes of her rambling on about useless stuff. Not quite sure what the point of this show is supposed to be about? Also, the humor is more rooted in current inside jokes with the people in her life and less comedy for an actual audience
2022-12-06
7. Circle time aka talking with my imaginary big sister - Thankful for this podcast it always brightens my day. I look forward to it every week and repeat episodes when I’m down. This is a five star review for the podcast and also maybe a realization I should get more friends. But who needs em when you have circle time with Kelsey kreppel
2022-11-18
8. The best podcast ever - I have never been able to listen to podcast because I think they are boring. But I cannot get enough of circle time. I’m always so sad when it’s over. Kelsey is a natural host and I feel like we’re two friends talking when I listen. I looooooveeeeeee circle time so much!

1. So close to a - I absolutely love this podcast. It’s intriguing and honest. My only wish is that Ben could be a little less judgmental. I can’t pin point it. But sometimes his questions and tone are judgmental. I understand certain guests are involved in unethical behavior, but isn’t that the point of the show? People are discussing shameful parts of their life that they keep secret. For that reason I think they need to be interviewed with a bit more empathy or else no one’s going to be fully honest on the show.
2023-02-10
2. Love is complicated but not impossible - This latest conversation was sort of tough to listen to from a moral standpoint, but I can understand how hard it is to extricate yourself from a spider’s web. I do hope that she realizes in advocating for herself that she shouldn’t have to be this Marine’s personal escort. Did he truly help her or just trap her in a different type of abuse? Great questions from the host as always.
2023-01-26
3. Nice work, Anna! - Anna is unflinchingly honest in her story. That took great bravery, and I applaud her for that. There’s not a lot of women out there (including me) that could or would speak honestly about the feelings of reluctance to follow the societal norms of having children. Thank you for sharing
2022-11-11
4. Please get back to your old format! - This podcast used to be compelling, challenging, interesting.. storytellers talked about their worst lies, biggest mistakes, worst moments…. Some were comical, hilarious moments of poor judgment. What on Earth is happening with the new episodes?! You used your company card to go to lunch with your mom?? Oooooh! Someone call the authorities! A lady’s professor made her a squirrel/rat-whisperer?
Shocking!
Recent guests sound like they’re describing bad acid trips… While on acid… Except, boring, and where nothing happens.
Take time to source good content, then release new episodes.
2022-10-19
5. “They knew” - I had such a hard time finishing this. Kind of insulting that you thought listeners wouldn’t know… I mean for crying out loud the build up was ludicrous and so painfully, just baaaaad. And then i read some of the other reviews & apparently this is a thing? To do this long, painful buildup to “a nothing burger” (to quote another reviewer). LOL Anyone with a brain could easily deduce that those kids were his “other family”. She is clearly her biggest fan, hope she didn’t break her arm patting herself on the back. I couldn’t believe how she was dissing her parents &… I dunno. The concept is good. I guess I will give it another shot, with another episode. I’m just glad she isn’t a regular. I sure would love to hear someone else (a sibling of hers or one of her parents) give their perspective. Feels a bit embellished to me. Hope she got the trophy she thinks she deserves. Ugh. I hate the way she trashed her parents. She detaches with love??? Seriously? That’s love?
2022-10-17
6. Captivating and well done! - I listen to a lot of podcasts, but this is the first time I have ever reviewed one. I absolutely love the premise of the show, and each one I have listened to is so interesting. What I like most though, is that Ben is so kind to each guest; he never judges anything they have been through. His questions are so thoughtful, and I just love the way he speaks to each person on the show. I highly recommend that others listen!
2022-08-27
7. Love HIM - So I listen to lots of Podcasts, but WOW I love this man’s voice, his personality, & his perfect skills to make anything sounds so beautiful! I love him more than the other podcasts I thought I loved like, Crime Junkie, morbid, & others. He is just such a BEAUTIFUL person, always puts a smile on my face & brightens my mood.
2022-07-08
8. Fabulous podcast & host! - One of my top favorite podcasts ever. I am a sucker for story telling, and this really hits. Ben is such a great interviewer - very authentic and genuine, empathetic yet gently pushes when needed. Only complaint - give the people more content! I would love to see a weekly podcast. I save up episodes for a month or two so I can binge, and I get so sad when I run out of content. It’s just such a great show.

5. Best Podcast: Comfy and Safe Vibe - Ava Jules is simply the most radiant and beautiful influencer fricken ever. I stumbled across one of her YouTube videos about years ago and ever since I have felt like her bestie (though we have never met). She truly feels like a big sister and is stellar at making people feel validated and loved. Her podcast has the perfect touch of humor and serious topics; the best for hot girl walks/runs. Literally cannot recommend this enough. Ava deserves a dirty Shirley every night (with extra cherries) for her dedication to her fan base!!

1. OMg - This is so good and creepy also when your listening with headphones in the dark and they have those noises and it be like “ IS THAT THE PODCAST OR MY HOUSE?” It’s always the podcast and in episode nightmare at the inn maybe the ghost was @bused and then she un@lived herself and they didn’t report it for their privacy Ps: I think I might have a sixth sense because I just get bad vibes the sudden and when I did once we actually had to do a hallway closure except I tell my parents these things and they don’t believe me they do t believe in the paranormal do it’s just me and my friends
2023-02-15
2. Mine - This is a good podcast it lets me know I’m not alone in the supernatural. This was a couple weeks ago I have school and it was or something and went outside because I needed my school stuff and went past on the porch there was this shovel that was straight up, then I went to the car and to my horror there was a person in the car tapping frantically at the window but when I went inside to check who was that in the car the person was not there so I went back outside and still saw the person frantically tapping as if the person is trying to escape something. I hope everyone believes this story because it’s true. I want to get a developer response.
2023-02-04
3. Authentic and Scary - It’s hard to find a good scary story podcast! I really love this one, because the stories are true and the people who experience the stories are the ones who tell them. It’s authentic and you can hear in their voices. I sometimes wish that Edwin would ask probing questions, but I also like hearing the uninterrupted account from the person who experienced the event. Thanks!
2022-12-08
4. YES YES YES - I’ve been looking for a show that’s reminiscent of Radio Rental and Spooked and this does NOT disappoint. Some popular shows have a singular host reading (highly questionable) Reddit posts, but these stories are told by the people who experienced them and are beautifully produced. So creepy and engaging. I’m so glad to have found this!
2022-10-21
5. Great podcast - I finished listening to all three of your podcasts and enjoyed the them. Me personally this is my favorite to listen to while I work my night shifts. I wish they were uploaded more because I go through them so fast but it’s ok I enjoy them very much and enjoy hearing other people experiences. Keep up the good work!!

6. One of my favorites! Wish the episodes were longer tho. - I’ve heard all three of your podcasts and love them all! But there too short in my opinion. Especially the scary mystery surprise podcast. I love your genuine friendship and would enjoy to listen to y’all for more that - min. It’s just my opinion but you should make them longer.

7. I have a scary story - I have a scary story my mom had a sister and she had an imaginary friend named Lisa than she got older and she lost interest my Moms house was always kind of creepy so my mom kept feeling kind of watched or scared than once she got as putting laundry it the wash and then she SAW… Lisa after that she never bothered her agen

8. Great Stories & Production - I’m always on the lookout for podcasts with testimonial stories related to the paranormal. So many are filled with an over the top host reading the stories with cartoonish sound effects. This is not that. The stories are told by the witnesses themselves which always give them a better feel. And the occasional sound effects add to the ambiance instead of detracting from it. Really glad to have found this podcast and highly recommend if you’re a fan of paranormal haunting stories.

1. Like your podcast but not Facebook - I like your podcast—you have great stories. I don’t like Facebook and other forms of social media, and am not a member of any of them. I am disappointed that one has to be a member of Facebook to see photos or any other information. I have listened to you a couple of years but gave you a / because of the Facebook.

2. Wonderful! - Hello! I just found this podcast today, and am very happy! Great interviewer who lets the story teller tell their story in their words. Asks great questions, great array of subjects. Thank you! I wish there was an area after each show to send good wishes to the guests. Shana Rogers Moscow, Idaho

3. Episodes could be shorter but love the host - I think the best thing about this podcast is the host. He’s so kind and natural, very different from the typical podcast world where most try too hard to be quirky or insert unnecessary political opinions. It’s a breath of fresh air. While I do think the show could benefit from cutting down a bit on story setup and conclusions, it’s forgive-able because everything is just so dang wholesome. Keep it up dude!

4. Learn to love women - The show of Josh being struck by lightning really touched me. But his sexism of calling women “girls” and not calling men “boys” means he doesn’t get it. I am open to hearing if in this podcast, I misheard him, please let me know in this forum. It is this type of subtly sexism that hurts us all. Josh, I also studied martial arts and have a black belt. In my opinion, you may have a lot to learn about humanity. Please take a step down and learn, it think you would thoroughly enjoy broadening your love.

5. Get ready to cry and then be lifted back up - I love this podcast. This podcast inspires people to be compassionate. You never know what someone else has gone through. I admire these story tellers and feel a sense of connection, we are all in this together and I wish the best for everyone I hear in these stories. For the one about the man who grew up jehova witness I wish he could see them the way I do for one minute (I am catholic and believe they are completely misguided ) I don't want to judge for the sake of judging, practice whatever you want, I just wish I could take their power over him away. And if my sons ever tell me they are gay I know I will love them no matter what and stick by them.

6. Good show- but please fact check - Very entertaining, but constructive criticism- please fact check. In “Alice’s brother went missing” you say “my understanding of methadone is it helps people addicted to methamphetamine.” This is totally untrue. You can almost hear Alice want to correct you but politely decide not to. Methadone is for opioid addiction (which is what Alice was talking about). Methamphetamine is an entirely different drug, with different effects, different abuse potential, a different social narrative… it’s VERY different than an opiate. We’re in an opioid epidemic, so I’m sure listeners would appreciate accurate information related to the opioid epidemic. It would take mere seconds to google methadone to at the very least edit the conversation with Alice after the fact to exclude erroneous info. This may seem like a small detail but listeners like myself are much more inclined to stop listening to this show if it’s made evident that you take zero time to fact check your podcast. :/
Disappointing.

7. Neurodivergent please read - stars bc clearly a lot of folks are getting a lot of positive things here. I’m confused by the titles of episodes with descriptions that vanish the moment I click?? And immediately i am lost in TLDR universe… what’s happening? Where am I? Who are these people and where is continuation of the sentence I was reading Also the host sounds like Microsoft Sam. Which is neither good, nor bad. Just like Microsoft Sam Could be a great podcast for many people, but found myself pacing like I do when I can’t make structure out of something.

8. Love this show! - I thoroughly love this show! One point of feedback for episode . Methadone is a medication to help people using opioids, mostly heroin or fentanyl. The distinction between opiates and methamphetamine is important because of the epidemic of overdoses plaguing us. We lost over , people in to opioid overdose. It’s important for me to note that methadone is a medication, not a replacement, and helps people live functional lives. Some come off of methadone, some stay on for a long time. It saves lives! I hope you continue sharing the stories you do as they offer hope, help people not feel alone, and cultivate compassion. Keep it up!

1. So relatable - I literally love this podcast already. I have learned so much more about Bailey in these two episodes than I have over years watching her videos. I can relate to her on another level. Her energy is so positive yet honest and it brings me a breath of fresh air each week she posts. I with her and this podcast nothing but success for the future!

3. Love it - I usually don’t like to listen to podcasts, I generally think that they are really boring. I was watching YouTube while I was doing laundry and I came across her video and thought I would give it a try. When I say that there is only one episode out and it’s already relatable, I mean it. I love it and will definitely continue to listen.

4. SO EXCITED - Bailey Dedrick is my favorite YouTuber. She’s so realistic and gives great advice. Bailey is VERY relatable and I watch her videos when I’m getting ready for bed or cleaning. She inspired me to take better care of myself, so I made a better self care routine. I love her so much and when I found out she’s making a podcast, I was so excited.

1. stars - truly! - There are just so many podcasts “out there” now, it can be hard to find the right ones that really connect to your heart and mind. This does both, in addition to connecting to the spirit. Such a simple yet clever way of sharing deep and funny insights with all of the daughters out there, and everyone related to them! I have shared a few with my two sons as well, as it is so important for men to listen to these honest perspectives and thereby learn how to truly empathize with the girls and women in their lives. I cannot wait to hear more in Season . And perhaps send one of my letters in, if I find the courage. Namulanta, thank you so much for your essential work!

4. Must-listen for dads - Great range of stories on all aspects/ages of being a parent and being a child … there is so much love and care and reminiscing here. Consider listening with your teenager and/or your spouse. Amazing food for thought. Thanks to the host (and to her mum) for this podcast, and kudos to the BBC for choosing it.

1. Good but too much… - Too much like an audiobook for me. I don’t like audiobooks because I prefer reading, so I find the same voice over and over monotonous. I feel podcasts are wasted with this format, when you could do so much more like interview others, like the “Otherworld” podcast, making it like a documentary. It’s more believable for one thing. This just sounds like stories - nothing scary here.

2. Don’t change a thing!!! - Lover of all things paranormal here. Sir, your tone, delivery, eeriness, seriousness, and even length of each episode is spot on. Do not change a thing. I’m so glad I found this podcast. I mostly listen to true crime podcasts. This is the only paranormal one that I listen to. Thanks for the great content. Best wishes.

3. This is how it should be done! - Forget interviews and call-in guests. A good story deserves a good storyteller and that makes all the difference! This podcast has me looking twice at shadowy corners, and, like a child, making me take running leaps into bed at night (so nothing can grab my ankles before the safety of my duvet)!

4. Love this pod! - Kev’s storytelling is phenomenal, he really gives the writers of listener stories so much life, like the person is really recounting that story to you on air. The haunting background music, his calming voice and wonderful accent set the perfect ambience for listening to such tales whether you believe them to be truthful, like I do, or not.

5. Excellent show!! - So I heard the host on our good friends show Hillbilly Horror Stories, and he gave a great guest interview. Keep up the good work and much success to you!! Todd Cohost / Middle Aged And Creeped Out podcast

1. Made me feel less alone - Sadie, I literally teared up listening to episode (I’m Drunk, Emotional, and Sharing Way to[o] Much). I have been exactly where you were in that moment, but I tell you what I did not handle nearly as well as you did, I promise. This podcast is great, and it is a great companion to go with the videos. Gives them more context. I do wish you would integrate the pod into episodes more tho.

2. review - First off I am definitely not a podcast type of person lol, but when i found out sadie had a podcast on youtube i decided to check it out cause i thought “well i love sadie’s videos so this podcast might even be better so i’ll give it a shot”. Ever since i listened to her first podcast ever i’ve been OBSESSED! I always watch for the notifications that she posted another podcast, so that i can listen to it right away. She is literally my favorite influencer ever. She’s just so real and tells things like it is. best influencer is hands down her. Sadie Crowell will not let u down with her content. She’s one of the funnest and realist people i’ve heard.

6. Real life with Sadie - Sadie is first of all a funny, sarcastic, attractive, confident woman. Her self-confidence is noted immediately throughout her content. She does things that real teenagers do. She’s not some rich snob who makes $k on each of her videos. That’s what’s nice about her. She’ll make the bad decisions alongside the decisions we make. So we can learn and make the same (but better) decisions later. This podcast is great! We really see into her real life and personality. DEFINITELY worth a listen to!!!
2022-06-29
7. Hilarious and Inspiring - I came across her one day while at the gym and I was pleasantly surprised and laughed a lot from all of her stories! She is raw and says if like it is! 1.

1. They’re not good moms. - The problem with this podcast is that they’re not actually good moms. You can’t just get drunk and high when you’re a single parent. If something were to happen to your kid and they needed to be rushed to the hospital, you would be responsible for anything bad that happened due to your own irresponsibility. The negligence promoted on this podcast is deeply concerning to me and I’m not sure why anyone would broadcast their bad parenting so publicly. Please do better for the sake of your children’s’ safety.

2. REAL - I’m all about keepin it real and this show does just that! The authenticity of it all just keeps me coming back for more. I love that I relate to so many thoughts and comments. 4. Top favorite podcast!!! - Erica and Milah are and amazing best friend/ soulmate duo that help the millennial, fun, sexy, pot head moms feel seen! I am not a mother, and I never thought I would be interested in being one; but the wisdom and self expression of Erica & Milah inspires me so much. They are redefining what motherhood can be. From sex positivity, to managing emotions — I have gained so much from this podcast. They are truly doing the lord’s work lol.

6. Not a Mom yet still relate! - I love that the Good Moms Bad Choices podcast is relatable to MOST, not just the Mommies. This is the definition of success, to address different audiences even if tailored to a specific one. Listening to older episodes to catch up with the new and there has been significant improvement over time, it just gets better and better and better. Keep up the amazing work ladies!!!!

7. I love this ! I love you! This podcast is life changing! - Hey guys I’m a year old mom and I just want to thank you so much for this podcast it changed my perspective on motherhood and parenting. Thank you for impowering me as a woman and a mom. Thank you for helping me dive deeper into spirituality. Thank you for taking your time each week to provide knowledge, advice and being vulnerable enough to share your experiences. Thank you for affirming my thoughts and making me feel less alone. Thank you so much. There was one episode with Elisabeth Oveson where you talked about bi-polar disorder in a negative and critical way I encourage you to do more research about the topic to have a better understanding about the mental health disorder. It is not what it is made out to be and media has distorted the true facts about the disorder. Thank you for reading my response ik you have thousands of reviews, dms, and emails but it means a lot that you sit down and read all of them. Y’all are amazing.

The “bad choices” are so false cause as I am on my journey I am gaining new principles that speak to mistakes being essential and actual lessons. Everything is perspective and my mind-shift is leading me to podcasts like this! I am happy to be here! -Rosie Smith

1. Episode - This has to be the dumbest episode ever. You run into a customer at a store you are. Make fun of his clothing , he overhears you making fun of him. He leaves, says n does nothing. And you call the cops cause you feel uneasy. If this is a story you think is worthy. I will skip the rest. The only thing Disturbed about this podcast is that people think it is scary.

2. Decent podcast but was so ableist - I was enjoying this podcast until I got to a story about a blind lady at a college for blind people who claimed a predator got into the building and tried to break in her room. When he couldn’t get in her room, he managed to get in an autistic girl’s room and raped her. She had survivor’s guilt because all the police and her therapist assured her that the girl wouldn’t be able to remember it or be less traumatized because she was autistic. Also couldn’t testify because she was autistic. My kid is autistic, I know a lot of autistic people, and to assume they wouldn’t be just as traumatized by rape as anyone else is disgusting. Also, many autistic people are perfectly capable of advocating for themselves. Please don’t use ableist crap like this in the future.

3. Good stories but my god the voice actors - So I LOVE true horror stories like this, they’re like mini I survived episodes. Super interesting super engaging, the calls ins set it apart from similar podcasts styles but if I have one complaint it’s the VOICE ACTORS!!! Some are soooooooooooo bad! They’ve gotten better as time has gone on, the host himself has even improved his cadence and inflection, but some of the people that read them? It sounds like one of those robot voice overs- so flat, monotone, no emotion, or just sounds really strange. One of them, I think it Tania… Eber something? I do not know if this is her real voice? It can’t be. It’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. I can’t stand it, totally takes me out of the story. Anywho- check it out, maybe fast forward through the weirdly voiced ones, you won’t get used to it, trust me

4. Thrilling - I started listening to podcasts after I got a concussion and couldn't use screens for a while. I listen to alot of different things but this is one of my fave podcasts. Normally I listen stupidly stoned and then I get even more anxious than normal but it makes it even more thrilling. Thanks Chad for doing what you do! I appreciate you!
2022-08-05
5. Not bad - Podcast isn’t bad but wish they would do more interviews like they started with. If you read the subreddit let’s not meet or listen to the let’s not meet podcast these are the same stories recycled. Some of the narrators are good but a lot aren’t. Worth listening to if you like calls.
2022-06-29
6. I listen but why do I listen? - So I mean, I like the genre of this podcast; the true scary stories and all that. There’s just so many podcasts that do it better, with less commercials, and less annoyingly. I definitely listen semi-regularly, but only when I run out of the better podcasts.
Chad doesn’t talk very much, but the talking that he does do is still too much.
Not trying to hate, just like, chill bro with the voice. You’re either trying too hard to sound ominous, or you’re constipated. Either way, most of the show is commercials lol.
2022-06-16
7. Please Keep It Free - Nothing like finding a podcast you enjoy and then binging all the back catalogue for a few days while you work. That’s what I just experienced with the first episodes of “Disturbed”. My favorite episode out of the first is episode , “Creeper in the Woods”. I also really enjoyed the short account of the campsite at the end of episode . Only episodes that didn’t interest me were the fictional, creepy pastas featured on the special Halloween episodes. I only want to listen to the at least allegedly true stories. The completely fictional stuff doesn’t interest me in podcast form. Overall the narrators do a better job than most podcasters in this genre at reading the stories. It’s difficult for me to keep paying attention if the narration is too monotone and dry. Ultimately, I prefer stories spoken by the actual experiencers, such as a “Radio Rental” or “Spooked”. Those two podcasts are some of the best in this genre, but they started placing most of their episodes behind paywalls. This podcast has been a nice alternative to those and am glad I found it. Please continue to keep most of your content free, you’ll build a larger listenership that way.

8. Enjoy this a lot...when I can get it to download - This is one of my favorite real-life horror podcasts, especially with the variety of narrators that have been added. However, am deducting a star because, for the last couple of months, I've had a very hard time getting it to download, even days after a new ep has gone up; just keep getting that exclamation mark and error message. Not sure what's going on between their server and Apple podcasts, but I can only directly play eps on my iPhone, not download them on either phone or iPod.
