1. SKIP IT - “I’ve been proven right” the host said in reference to being anti-vax. That same vaccine that saved so many lives and allowed the world to reopen. There are many reality podcasts out there where the host is either not anti-vax or savvy enough to hide it AND is also good at interviewing. The lack of structure and consistent interrupting alone makes this podcast a tough and frustrating listen. The ignorant (and unnecessary) vaccine statements sealed the deal.

2. Not Normally A Podcast Gal BUT…. - Everytime Jamie comes out with a new episode I’m hooked. She has the best guests on always. The openness and rawness of this podcast is what keeps me coming back. Jamie discusses current events and topics as well as speaks about things she is passionate about. /. Love. Must listen!

3. Jamie Lynne rocks !!! - Jamie knocks it out of the Park with this podcast! Jamie Lynne is not only beautiful , but is also a kind and amazing person. So excited to be on your podcast journey ! Please everyone subscribe! You will be so happy you did. Love the podcasts you and Scheana do together also. And Thank you for being so open about your struggles with ADHD. You’re gonna help so many people out. Thank you !

4. Loved the beauty episode! - I love all the episodes but I saw on your stories that it was difficult for you to put out The Business of Beauty. I love how you are so aware of the state of the economy, gave tips to save money, were open with prices and said most self care should come from within. You balanced it all beautifully. You made me laugh a few times because I have those same thoughts about certain trends! Let's be real, I get treatments, massages and more and it makes me feel good! As women, we should not be made to feel superfical or narcissistic for wanting to look and feel our best. It was a good reminder to take care of ME,and that's not selfish! You made me realize how taking care of my skin has led to more confidence which carried over to my well being. Thank you for always speaking my mind and making me LOL in my car! I love you! You provided a lot of great info and I'm looking forward to part .

5. Obsessed with Jamie all Over - Sending Jamie love from Miami. I love hearing about her life and I relate so much. It's like we are going through the same thoughts together but she somehow verbalizes it for me. It really feels like therapy but way more enjoyable. After every episode I know more about myself or the world and that is priceless. She does it in such an effortless way by just being herself. So many other podcasters are vapid, boring, too worried about their image to be vulnerable, or out of touch. I appreciate the real connection she has to us and I love her song choices! Keep it up! I am obsessed

6. You saved me! - This is the only podcast I listen to every single week. It doesn't matter if you are solo or have a guest because it's always engaging and I feel like I'm catching up with a friend. You're so kind, thoughtful, insightful, real and down to earth. You always bring something to the table, and you ask the best questions. Your interview skills are so natural and this is your calling! I look forward to every topic becasue you are one step ahead of everyone else. When I listen to the others, I can see the difference and I usually turn them off after a few minutes because now I know what a talented podcaster sounds like. Thank you for all the effort you put into this and for making me feel like I have a friend who gets me :)

7. Best Podcast In The World! - I've stopped listening to most other podcasts because they become stale but this is everything a podcast should be. Jamie takes us on a journey to finding happiness, achieving more, learning about ourselves, understanding others, and exploring the meaning of life and love. She doesn't pretend to be perfect or have it all figured out. She shares her mistakes, her lows, her lessons, and she is super relatable. I love the way she thinks and views the world. Her perspective has opened my eyes on so many things. It's hard to find a podcast that is entertaining, informative, a perfect balance of heavy and light to keep my interest, comforting, and inspiring but she does it all! Congrats on your People's Choice Award nominations-well deserved!

8. Thank you Jamie! - Somehow every episode is exactly what I need at the time I listen. I'm so happy to have found you. It is clear you are a talented podcaster because you can do unbeliveable solo episodes (which most can't and it's a true test of talent) but you also perform engaging interviews that feel like natural conversation. Thank you for creating this space. I feel seen, heard and cared for. You are my hero!

9. You’re the best, Jamie! - I appreciate Jaime’s honesty and vulnerability in this podcast. I originally became a fan of Jamie when she was on the Scheananigans podcast and have quickly realized how much I relate to her life and experiences. I love how Jamie always strives to focus on the positive and self-improvement while tackling important issues.

10. ILYSM! - This is my newest obsession! It is so peaceful and comforting. It seriously has been my therapy. I find myself nodding along in agreement and I love the way you explain and view things. It gives me a broader perspective on life, ,love, happiness and the meaning of success. I also appreciate how down to earth and authentic you are. I feel like we could actually be friends! I look forward to Mondays now. Please don't ever stop!

11. Empowering Podcast - I listed to the podcast on my way to work and I’m always excited on Monday mornings to be able to listen to a new episode. Your topics and stories are very inspirational and empowering for women. I have been unhappy in my job for the last couple years and you inspired me to apply for new jobs and now I have a interview on Friday with a new company. Thank you !!!

12. Great person great podcast great morning commute! - I have been listening to Jamie since she was on Scheananigans, and I was so excited to hear she was going to be hosting her own podcast! Jamie has such a good soul, you can tell she truly cares for the world and for other people/animals, she is a genuine person. It’s so good to hear positivity on my morning commute! I love the wide variety of topics she discusses, and the awareness she brings to many issues. I have to admit I also love the supernatural (for lack of a better word!) experiences she has, I find it very fascinating! Jamie is a go-getter and a hard worker, which comes through in the podcast. Five stars!!
2022-04-05
13. Talented, empowering, comforting - Your supportive and kind hearted nature leaves me with a feeling of comfort. Like hanging out with my best friend. Thank you for making my Monday commutes to work actually enjoyable. I think you are absolutely incredible, Jamie! I can’t wait to see what you do next

Comments
1. Interesting but lecturing at the same time. - Very interesting but had to take a couple of stars off for the usual left wing BBC lecturing about white privilege and if the woman was a working class white woman then evil capitalism. Shame because we are not ignorant silly little people that need to be educated yet again on that and parts of the series were quite interesting, just not those predictable bits.
2023-02-08
2. Feminist Revision - I mean feminist revision in a very positive way. In the first episode ‘Florence Bravo’, cross examination focuses on the accused’s ‘sexual promiscuity’. The legal expert notes that there are laws, in the United Kingdom, preventing this line of questioning. Horrifically, no such law exists in the United States. Abuse and rape victims are often revictimized in in this way during cross examination. I look forward to future episodes.

3. Educational, entertaining, engaging! - No surprises-this podcast is just as informative and addictive as everything else Lucy Worsley touches. I’m only upset there aren’t more because I flew through all episodes. She included a diverse set of expert guests to weigh in on each and provides unique details and considerations for each lady killer and the time she lived. If you are interested in criminology and/or mental health, this is for you! Maybe add an Australian episode?

4. Victorian History True Crime THE BEST PODCAST - Brilliant podcast. Characters are brought to life and we get not only the fascination Of the crime itself but also the history of women, their classes and their lack of freedom and the choices that they simply have to make for whatever their reason. Lucy and guests are top notch as well.

S-Town is a podcast hosted by Brian Reed from Serial Productions, a New York Times company. The story follows a man named John who despises his Alabama town and decides to do something about it. He asks Brian to investigate the son of a wealthy family who's allegedly been bragging that he got away with murder. But when someone else ends up dead, the search for the truth leads to a nasty feud, a hunt for hidden treasure, and an unearthing of the mysteries of one man's life.

1. Fascinating, and you truly must listen to the end - I will start by saying I am a diehard podcast fan, a Southerner, and a neurologist. John’s story, his struggles with life in the rural South, as well as his brilliant and eclectic nature, would have made for an interesting story. The twist at the end was one admittedly I had already suspected, and I am so glad it came up. I don’t want to spoil it for those who have not listened and plan to, but as someone with a background in this topic, I absolutely agree with the suspicion that this contributed to John’s early demise.

2. True crime - fans make me sick. Murder isn't supposed to make anyone money or be for entertainment. Do any of you listeners ever imagine it happened to you or your families? There are funny episodic serials that talk about all the absurdity of life like the podcast Community News with Pail and Sasha or listen to Dana Carvey tell SNL stories on Fly on the podcast.
2023-02-08
3. Life changer - I listened to this show when it first came out. Then I listened to it again. I don’t know why it struck such a chord with me, but it did. I’ve listened to it five or six times, all the way through, by myself. I have also put it on during long road trips with my wife. Another trip I took with my son, as well. I have a sundial and roses tattooed on my arm because of this show. I am probably going to keep a downloaded copy, just in case the RSS feed goes down for some reason. Just such a powerful story and a powerful message.

4. Unlike anything I’ve every experienced - I have listen to this podcast over times now. The storytelling is phenomenal and I get something different from the show each time I listen. To understand and be apart of this story in even such a small way, is such an amazing feeling. And that’s what Brain Reed does; makes you feel like you are right there, discovering and dissecting John’s life. Highly, highly recommend the show. It will forever be a podcast that I can turn on when I’m feeling lonely or just need the company of familiar friends.

5. My comfort podcast - I know that my title is strange if you’re familiar with this podcast, but as someone from the rural south, I relate to John so very much. IYKYK, I suppose. I’ve listened to this podcast probably six times, and I always weep and laugh. This is an amazing story about a fascinating and interesting man and community.

6. Great but you didn’t get justice! - Clearly they killed the guy. Did he have gold? you wonder?? He gilded a quarter right in front of you!! You were amazing (like human sodium pentathol good) at getting people to talk but YOU DID NOT FIGURE OUT WHO KILLED HIM. (????) I call for a new investigation into the murder.
2022-12-27
7. Don't waste your time - This podcast was just a train wreck. Brian put resources into researching a story and when nothing came out of it, he decided to make a podcast anyway. . The preview misleads you completely about what kind of story you’re getting yourself into. . Outing someone's sexual orientation (even postmortem) is not acceptable. . Wandering. Brian won't draw a conclusion or provide the context of his thoughts surrounding the events that he's talking about. More narration might have helped the story but as there's not much of a story in the first place I wonder if that would have even helped. . Going into the depths of John B's private life after his death and sharing it without his consent so you can make a living is skeevy in the least and grave robbing in the worst. This crossed the line from reporting to profiteering.

8. Incredible - I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts. This is my favorite podcast ever! I was hesitant to listen to anything from the NYT. Most of their podcasts have a predictable agenda. But it didn’t look like this one did, so I looked it up. I’ve never done that before listening to a podcast, but I did not want to get sucked into a good story (as noted in the reviews) and have to endure the NYT far left nonsense. I was still skeptical, but binged this in one day, so glad I gave it a chance. I’m blown away by the story, and have so much respect for the host and production team. Thank you! No underlying political slant, no digs or subliminal judgments, no use of the story to make a point. This is the story of an eccentric, brilliant man, tortured by his worst enemy: himself. Though he be cranky, he was beloved. Funny, witty, endearing…and impossibly self destructive. He just never learns how to get out of his own way. It’s the story of hidden treasure, a story about time, a story about love and friendship, and a story about the psyche of people from all walks of life interacting at the intersection of a common event. Mostly, it’s the story about the parts of ourselves we leave behind; how our lives effect the lives we cross. And, how they effect us. It’s brilliantly told, masterfully edited, and artfully framed by a song from The Zombies, A Rose For Emily. I was left with questions regarding the money, the fate of people and court cases, his mom, and honestly Woodstock itself and how the town reacted, and hopefully reflected. Maybe there will be an update, but either way I’m sure these answers can be found online. It’s hard to review this podcast without giving spoilers. But the bottom line is, it’s an amazing podcast. I’ve listened to every episode of dozens of podcasts. This is my favorite podcast ever. Absolutely !

9. This podcast is amazing - I love this podcast. I’ve listened to it several times. I find myself thinking of the characters often, john B even more of course. He was an intriguing man who was overqualified for this world. I do wonder if there would have been a podcast if not for his death, sadly. Brian, thank you so much for sharing your time with John B, I will forever be grateful for this podcast as I’ve not only enjoyed it but learned from it as well.

10. Heartbreaking story seasoned with tears and sprinkled with laughter - Thank you for bringing a brilliant, funny, troubled self professed redneck from Alabama and allowing him to touch my heart and mind half way across this “blue orb”. I was laughing minutes into the podcast and realized that tears were streaming down my face…it was a foretelling of what was in store for the remaining episodes. This story helped me confront my prejudices and have oddly enough renewed my hope in humanity. John’s life was not in vain.

11. So Much More Than Expected - Incredibly well told by Brian, produced, and edited to make what quickly becomes what some may see as “a story about nothing” turn into a collection of insights and eye-opening revelations into real life issues. This podcast grew roots in so many directions and pulled at my emotions. Well done!

12. Third listen - This was the second or third podcast I ever heard. It set the bar for excellence in this modality. It’s the combination of Brian’s narrating, the extraordinary character John and, the brilliant audio editing. I would listen to this team do anything. But, I’ll miss John. He was one in a billion. It inspired me to join the podcasting world myself (Significant Mother). I decided to listen again and it doesn’t disappoint. I’m sure I’ll listen again.

13. I was all in from first episode - Such great storytelling. One episode I went from cackling so hard to seconds later feeling like my heart dropped to the bottom of my stomach and holding back tears but crying just enough to blur my vision. I had to pull over and gather myself. I kept thinking … okay I’m going to lose interest now. Instead I finished it in a hour period.
2022-09-27
14. Where is the plot? - Nothing ever happened. No resolution. We don’t know if Tyler went to jail. What happened to the house he was building? Did Ma move to Florida. Half way through the first episode I said nope! And cut it off. Waited a few hours and went back. Over the course of a few days I kept waiting around for the gossip or for at least some progress or movement in the story. Then in the end they made John out to be a suicidal lunatic. If you want to listen to the whisper lips tell a story with no point. Other than the fact that it’s a very dark story about mental health and doing absolutely nothing about it when the signs hit you in the face. Then Brian is the guy for you.

It’s a question we ask (and get asked) all the time: “How are you?” And normally we just respond with “Fine!” even if we’re totally dying inside, so everyone can go about their day. But it’s not always all that fine, is it? “Terrible, Thanks For Asking” is a show by author Nora McInerny that lets real people get real honest about how they’re really doing. It’s sometimes sad, sometimes funny, and almost always both. Produced by Nora McInerny and Feelings & Co.

1. Should I have kids - Wow this episode is ME! She said everything that I feel and it’s so nice to see there are others who think the EXACT same way I do. I’m and can’t decide if I want kids or if it’s something that society has made me feel like it’s something I have to do. I’m feeling pressure by my age and know that my timeframe is getting smaller and smaller. I love my life as it is now but I know how amazing it is to have a family unit. This episode was by far the one that has impacted me the most. Thank you.

2. Do you like questions? - If you like questions? You’re gonna LOVE this episode? I know I like questions? Because when you like questions? You always ask them? Even if what you’re saying isn’t a question? Totally not at all? And that’s hard?? This could be an actual transcript of the host talking in every single episode. I cannot believe she talks for a living and can’t hear herself ending every sentence in a question mark. Utterly unbearable. Even if the stories were still good. Which…they aren’t. It’s basically just other people selling their memoirs now.

3. I came because I grieved. I stayed because I am learning more empathy. - I cannot emphasize how much this show has helped me grow as a person. I went through a personal tragedy and found the show by chance. Nora’s sensitive nature, wrapped in her unique sense of humor and personal outlook on life — neither too optimistic nor too cynical, helped me find solace and later, as I found more help, helped me understand other people’s point of view. So grateful for this show.

4. Voice getting worse - I’ve been listening to TTFA for years. I remember having my adult daughter listen to one particular episode that I thought she would connect with, and her takeaway was that even though the content was compelling, the host’s voice prevented her from wanting to hear more. She said she couldn’t relate to a woman in her ’s talking with a Valley Girl voice. At the time, I defended Nora and her delivery; however, now that mode of delivery has intensified many times over and is just too distracting and comes off as so affected. It’s a shame - such a great concept that has been ruined by a choice of delivery.
2023-02-08
5. Gets worse and worse - This show just gets worse and worse. There are countless lies in every episode. And nearly every person interviewed has put themselves in the position they are in but blame others. More importantly the host is always telling people to “be kind”. She is the least kind person I have ever encountered. I am % certain that she was someone that bullied people in school. So it’s rich that she thinks everyone should be kind except her. The majority of the world is kind. Stop living on the internet and you would know that.

6. Absolutely love this podcast - I do not remember how exactly i discovered this podcast but I’m so thankful that I did. In I had three important people pass away (my sister, my father and my best friend) all in the same year. It shook my world and I haven’t been the same since then. It was hard to put into words the exact feeling I was experiencing, I pretty much have been trying to figure out what was wrong with me since. This year I stumbled upon the TTFA podcast while finding something to listen to on my morning walks (I was taking to help with my mental health). With this podcast i discovered what was going on with me this whole time….. grief, I was grieving. I had never had someone important pass away before and it got piled on when the other two deaths followed so close together, I was pushed over the edge into grief a feeling i wasn’t familiar with and had no name for. Listening to this podcast has helped validate a lot of my feelings and helped me feel like I wasn’t alone and I was not losing my mind. I powered through all the seasons listen to it every chance I got. I finally finished all the episodes and am now caught up and listen to it as they come out. Thank you so much for providing a cathartic outlet. You don’t realize how much of an important role this podcast has played in my healing. I am so grateful

7. My husband Jung himself December , - My therapist recommended your podcast. It has helped me so much…especially the few on suicide. You truly have empathy and really “get” what very few do. As painful as it would be, I’d like to share my story to help others. My husband got severely depressed during Covid and working from home. Alcoholism and depression escalated and despite receiving help, he was not compliant. He hid it fairly well, but I suspected he was drinking behind my back and his mood swings were present. He hung himself while I was home and I found him. We didn’t live near family, so I was alone during interrogations (it was just a formality but horrible). There is a lot to my story. I’m able to work again as a teacher. But I am still healing and want others to know some things to expect.

8. PREMIUM SCAM - STOP BILLING US FOR THIS!! IT'S the third time I've tried to contact you. This is stealing. Taking advantage of people who are already feeling "terrible."
I WAS TRICKED into a monthly bill in order to finish the last mins of ONE mediocre podcast. I immediately requested cancellation. I've tried to login to delete my account but an email LINK IS NEVER SENT for login capability!!

9. Episode with Michael Allio - Hi Nora and team. My husband is a widower. He lost his first wife, Amy, to breast cancer in . Their children were and at the time. My husband and I met in and married in . I have two children with my ex husband. I have found your entire podcast, Nora, extremely enlightening and it has helped me realize that we are all doing our best. I have been begging my husband to listen. He finally listened to your episode with Michael Allio today and WOW. He laughed, he cried, he ALSO SLEPT ACROSS THE BED! He related to all of it. We had some interesting discussions afterwards as well. It is not easy being the second wife, I’ll tell you that much. He has never made me feel less than or less loved. I never felt like Amy was his “soulmate” and I therefore am not. It is so true that he can miss her and still love her AND ALSO be completely in love with me. Anyway, I could go on and on. Thank you for all the insight you have given us and for making us feel like this crazy family we put together is still a family who loves and is happy. AND ALSO a family who struggles bc of loss in so many ways

10. Thank you - I’m so glad I found your podcast. I am a widow. I lost my late husband in to lung cancer. I was left behind with three children. At the point in time of his passing my children were ,,. It was such a difficult journey to find a new normal for our family. My son probably took it the hardest. I recently remarried to a wonderful man who understands and let’s me cry and experience grief with me. He is so amazing! When we were dating it felt so awkward to me. I felt people judged me because of dating. At some point in time I started not caring about what other people thought. I’m so glad I’ve found your podcast to which I can relate and understand that I’m not alone in my feelings. Thank you for what you do.

11. Aaaaaaaaand we’re back! - I drifted away from TTFA a while back, for no big or terrible reason, but recently heard it referred to on another podcast and had to check back in. So glad you’re here, Nora, on your own now, putting out singularly heartfelt and heart-healing episodes in your inimitable way during this fraught time, when they are so needed. And now I’m going back to listen to what I’ve missed. Love you.

12. Facts are wrong, I’m an endocrinologist - There is a lot of misinformation in this podcast which is concerning. The medication that you talk about to treat diabetes and lose weight DOES NOT cause thyroid cancer. It is not recommended in patients with a rare genetic mutation associated with medullary thyroid cancer because they can also have pancreatic tumors that could be exacerbated by these medications. The main reason why we use these medications is not only because the weight loss associated with them can revert diabetes but because they have been shown to protect patients from having a heart attack or a stroke!!! There is a LOT of evidence that obesity is associated with different forms of tumors and cancer. Please do not share incorrect information that make it harder for us to treat patients

13. I love this show! - I am so happy for your Taylor Swift move! Sounds like something great for you. You wondered about the kind of job that allows one to listen to podcasts while working. I have done this at two jobs. One entailed a lot of menial, physical tasks and keeping my busy brain occupied helped me to keep moving. Currently, I work as personal support for two young women who have autism. While they are doing their thing and don’t need my immediate attention, again my busy brain appreciates your input :))

14. Therapy in a Pod - Amazing, empathetic, and funny! Love listening to similar or wildly different perspectives and stories. Listening gets me so outside of myself and allows me to witness pain, sadness and grief from many viewpoints. On days when I’m sad, this pod provides a sense of community and feels like a friend. P.S. LOVE that Nora is out on her own! Get it, girl!!!

1. subjectivity - i’m not one to ever rate and review which is why i’m so ashamed when i see a show, such as this, that is so nuanced and masterfully executed—crossing comedic and dramatic themes as well as all cultural( and biological) boundaries— still for whatever reason (i tend to think it a personal gripe, possible mistaken butt rating, or just plain bad taste) people can rate This Is Love (or Criminal) below five star—nevermind with one or two!?! i’ve been listening to this show from the beginning and all i can say is if you don’t like it then pheobe don’t need ya.

2. Swept up in the joy - I don’t listen to many podcasts but I have literally been swept up in This Is Love. I sit in the carport for twenty minutes without getting out of my car because I can’t take a break from these stories. They are like finding secret treasures. I am listening backwards starting at episode . You’ve Got Mail, The Rescue, The Visitor, On the Way to Dinner, Among the Oak Trees, and Something Large and Wild are so of the most compelling stories I’ve ever heard. Thank you Phoebe and Lauren for this magical Gift. Frank

3. Great show - I love this show! My one complaint is that sometimes they release a rerun or an episode of their other show without denoting that it is a previously released episode or from another podcast in the title or notes. Sometimes you get minutes into the episode before they mention it, and in the meantime I’m thinking “this sounds so familiar…” Please start denoting replays for those of us who don’t have time for re-listens! If you do, I’ll give you a star back.

4. So much more than I expected - I first heard of Phoebe Judge and Criminal when Karen and Georgia gushed about her on My Favorite Murder and thought “I don’t need another podcast about lawbreakers”. Then, K &G had Phoebe on their show and I was hooked. To quote what countless others have said: I’d listen to her read the phone book. Her thoughtful insights and caring tone make for excellent listening. I loved that Criminal always had a thread of optimism despite the often dark material. Then, joy of joy, This is Love came out and delivers a full dose of Phoebe optimism. Phoebe’s voice is akin to a warm blanket. In This is Love, the material escalates the feeling to a world of warm blankets. As with Criminal, the first hand accounts and interviews are a delight to hear as Phoebe gently teases out the story.

5. Hooked then unhooked - I was hooked—going back to the beginning of the series so I didn’t miss one—until in the episode in Italy with the cat sanctuary in the ancient ruins and Phoebe says “I don’t like cats” to the senior lady who has—along with her now-deceased friend—devoted her time, money and kindness/caring for many years to these cats and the senior lady clearly is shocked and maybe even gutted at hearing Phoebe say this to her while recording for a podcast. Like, what? Speak your truth more gently to the gentle world, Ms Judge. “I have never been able to vibe with cats…” etc. There were so many ways to say it that wouldn’t have gutted that lady and after hearing you say this, I decided you really didn’t have much to teach about what love is.

6. So Inspiring - I love this podcast. Well told stories that are so inspiring! Phoebe asks great questions and always connects with the people she interviews. I highly recommend this podcast! The episode about Brenda Jackson was so wonderful, uplifting and then heart breaking at the end. Her story touched my heart.

7. Laughing, crying, every time! - I just listened to an episode that had me in tears the entire time. I loved Criminal first and then followed to This is Love. And I’m not sorry about it! I love the way Phoebe interviews and has so much curiosity and empathy for the people she speaks with. The stories they pick are almost always so wonderful and heartwarming. Thank you for sharing these with the world!

8. Wonderful Stories!! - Dear Phoebe,
I am a total podcast junkie and yours is one of my top favorites! Having gone through such a nasty political season your stories are such a joy to listen to. Thank you so much for your lovely voice your wonderful stories and keep up the good work! You’re devoted fan…Valary

9. Interesting human stories, well reported! - Phoebe Judge is a podcasting queen. She can do no wrong! I love listening to her stories on This Is Love (and on her other podcast, Criminal!) because she asks the best questions in interviews, and really digs down to the heart of the matter. She tackles the human aspect of a myriad of situations. Very well produced work. I’m a dedicated follower and am SO HAPPY to hear that the podcast will now be coming out with new episodes twice a month!

First-hand true stories - a plane crash, a mass shooting, a bear attack, a train derailing, and more. The guest tells us exactly what happened, and answers the question, What Was That Like?

1. Dog attack. - I think a question that went unanswered was, what happened to the owners and the dogs? Did she sue the owners , was the owner under obligation to pay for medical expenses? Did the owner take responsibility for the attack? Were the owners suitably remorseful? What about the dogs? Were they euthanized? So many unanswered questions.

2. Like your podcast but not Facebook - I like your podcast—you have great stories. I don’t like Facebook and other forms of social media, and am not a member of any of them. I am disappointed that one has to be a member of Facebook to see photos or any other information. I have listened to you a couple of years but gave you a / because of the Facebook.

3. Wonderful! - Hello! I just found this podcast today, and am very happy! Great interviewer who lets the story teller tell their story in their words. Asks great questions, great array of subjects. Thank you! I wish there was an area after each show to send good wishes to the guests. Shana Rogers Moscow, Idaho

4. Episodes could be shorter but love the host - I think the best thing about this podcast is the host. He’s so kind and natural, very different from the typical podcast world where most try too hard to be quirky or insert unnecessary political opinions. It’s a breath of fresh air. While I do think the show could benefit from cutting down a bit on story setup and conclusions, it’s forgive-able because everything is just so dang wholesome. Keep it up dude!

5. Learn to love women - The show of Josh being struck by lightning really touched me. But his sexism of calling women “girls” and not calling men “boys” means he doesn’t get it. I am open to hearing if in this podcast, I misheard him, please let me know in this forum. It is this type of subtly sexism that hurts us all. Josh, I also studied martial arts and have a black belt. In my opinion, you may have a lot to learn about humanity. Please take a step down and learn, it think you would thoroughly enjoy broadening your love.

6. Get ready to cry and then be lifted back up - I love this podcast. This podcast inspires people to be compassionate. You never know what someone else has gone through. I admire these story tellers and feel a sense of connection, we are all in this together and I wish the best for everyone I hear in these stories. For the one about the man who grew up jehova witness I wish he could see them the way I do for one minute (I am catholic and believe they are completely misguided ) I don't want to judge for the sake of judging, practice whatever you want, I just wish I could take their power over him away. And if my sons ever tell me they are gay I know I will love them no matter what and stick by them.

7. Good show- but please fact check - Very entertaining, but constructive criticism- please fact check. In “Alice’s brother went missing” you say “my understanding of methadone is it helps people addicted to methamphetamine.” This is totally untrue. You can almost hear Alice want to correct you but politely decide not to. Methadone is for opioid addiction (which is what Alice was talking about). Methamphetamine is an entirely different drug, with different effects, different abuse potential, a different social narrative… it’s VERY different than an opiate. We’re in an opioid epidemic, so I’m sure listeners would appreciate accurate information related to the opioid epidemic. It would take mere seconds to google methadone to at the very least edit the conversation with Alice after the fact to exclude erroneous info. This may seem like a small detail but listeners like myself are much more inclined to stop listening to this show if it’s made evident that you take zero time to fact check your podcast. :/
Disappointing.

8. Neurodivergent please read - stars bc clearly a lot of folks are getting a lot of positive things here. I’m confused by the titles of episodes with descriptions that vanish the moment I click?? And immediately i am lost in TLDR universe… what’s happening? Where am I? Who are these people and where is continuation of the sentence I was reading Also the host sounds like Microsoft Sam. Which is neither good, nor bad. Just like Microsoft Sam Could be a great podcast for many people, but found myself pacing like I do when I can’t make structure out of something.
2022-12-03
9. Love this show! - I thoroughly love this show! One point of feedback for episode . Methadone is a medication to help people using opioids, mostly heroin or fentanyl. The distinction between opiates and methamphetamine is important because of the epidemic of overdoses plaguing us. We lost over , people in to opioid overdose. It’s important for me to note that methadone is a medication, not a replacement, and helps people live functional lives. Some come off of methadone, some stay on for a long time. It saves lives! I hope you continue sharing the stories you do as they offer hope, help people not feel alone, and cultivate compassion. Keep it up!

10. Like the show - I like the show so I gave it five stars. I just wanted to say Garrett seems so insanely ungrateful. “Why did the cop have to shoot the guy???” “I heard he shot a dog once….”
Excuse me??? You’re having these negative thoughts about the man who SAVED YOUR LIFE. prime example of what’s wrong with the world right now.
2022-11-29
11. Interesting but… - I like that the stories and format are different
than so many other podcasts. However, I agree with some of the other reviews. These stories can be really tedious when the guests ramble on so much. Some episode can probably be minutes max instead of an hour . As with some previous comments, certain guests are just impossible to like. They put themselves in their predicaments-two people smuggling drugs, one person traveled during the covid lockdown and was trapped.
2022-11-22
12. Ella the elephant girl…. Cringe - This entire story was a stretch. She spoke about the actual “attack” in less than words, making it clear that the title description of “being trampled” is clearly over the top. She walked away (literally) with road rash on her leg. I am an avid listener weekly and I love the stories, but this episode/story was pretty lame….to be honest.
2022-11-18
13. I never miss an episode - I await each new episode and listen right away. The latest one with calls would be great if it weren’t for crappy static. Not your fault. I don’t know why they can’t make calls clearer after all these years. I wish I could listen all the way through but gives me a headache. I’ll be back at next episode though! Keep up the good work!

14. Dan peeps people for prison - I love this podcast! The host has a great voice that’s engaging and asks just the right questions for the guests on his show! Dan’s story was exactly what people need to hear…he faced his consequences for his crime, and did his time! Dan turned his life around learning from his mistakes and telling people the real life story and what he experienced in prison and how to tap into those resource’s and be a better person coming out of prison - than going in. He took responsibility for his actions, and turned a negative experience into a positive one, that can help st time offenders get through a prison sentence, and how to use your resources, and knowing what actions you can take to help reduce your sentence -with help and from someone who experienced it first hand. I Love hearing peoples personal stories of life changing experiences-Great Podcast!!

1. Best episode yet- Vinnie Vargas - I have followed VRV for a few years now— there is an empathy for vets deep in me after being a military spouse & meeting a lot of —at the time— current soldiers, vets while living in the military community. People need to hear his experience & how he succeeds with the trauma & does the work to try to heal from it. I thank him for sharing such a personal part of himself & you for giving him the platform to share & your interview style is perfect, Jon. The military has made strides to try to take care of these men & women who give/gave all but they still have a long way to go. People like you & Vinnie who talk about these types of tough subjects not to mention the suicide rate & YES!! focus on the vets who make it every day no matter how hard it was. As a society, we need to provide better medical & mental health care to the people who go into these arenas to ensure our way of life continues. Please, both of you—keep making these stories available & getting them heard. Love & support.

2. Want to love - Love Jon & was excited to listen to this podcast. It feels like you’re a fly on the wall listening to a conversation. However, there’s a downside to that. Most of the time there’s no explanation about who they are referring to so without being an insider, you have to do some digging to figure it out. Now it feels like I’m more of an eavesdropper than someone being welcomed into the conversation. There’s simply no context for the majority of the conversations, which makes me lose interest. Hope that changes in the future, I’d love to come back.

3. Awesome Rabbi Mordecai Finley episode! - I have been listening to your podcast since you have been putting them out, they all are good; but the Finley podcast was mind blowing. I have listened to him before he’s a wealth of knowledge and wisdom, if you can and he’s willing please try and get him back on… believe me he’s got more knowledge to share.

4. Yikes - Definitely no Rogan & seems to think pretty highly of himself- seems like every actor has a podcast now and wants to grow an empire but you cannot be so egotistical and expect us little people to listen. This guy wants to turn every conversation with everyone on his cast into a discussion of himself/his experiences. If you just wanna talk about you, don’t bother with guests, they’re just a vehicle and they have to realize it.

5. More than just entertaining - Podcasts are often entertaining, but this podcast is more than that, it’s important discussions with exceptional people. These ordinary yet exceptional people, sharing their experiences, mistakes, wisdom & commitment to being the best version of themselves, this is so important. It’s the only podcast that I feel truly moves my heart. Jon, what a legacy you’re giving this world. You are gifted in your ability to not only find fascinating people to interview, but your interview style is so niche and rare. Thank you. Please keep these interviews coming.
2022-12-15
6. Stands out from the rest - This is an awesome podcast because Bernthal interviews authentic, real-world people. He's not interviewing boring celebs who live in fantasy worlds. There is, although, room for improvement. - Bernthal needs to introduce who he's interviewing, tell us who they are and how you know them. - Some of the people interviewed are so ghetto I cant understand what theyre saying. Obviously there isnt a way you can fix that besides interviewing coherent people.

7. You guys saved my life - I just want to thank both of you so much. You saved me from killing myself. I hurt my neck and back a while ago and it has caused me to spiral into an emotional turmoil that I feel like there is no escape from. I am drinking a fifth of vodka a day or more, and it’s tough to know the problem and how to fix it, but be unable to. I’m from Detroit and was raised to be tough, and being anything less is unacceptable in my mind. But your show, John, and your story Nick, resonates with me in a way I wish I could explain and express. So, just…thank you. I need to be the man I know I can be for my fiancé and daughter, and your show and your story is helping me realize that. I just feel so guilty. I’m better than this. Thank you for your guidance.

8. Life changer - The first episode I listened to was Shia LeBeouf was absolutely life changing. His realness and transparency along with how he describes things punched me right in the face. I needed to hear someone be that honest. So much of this parallels my life. I’m years old and this is the first time I’ve faced many things after hearing this. If anyone from the podcast sees this tell those involved thank you. This is tearing me up but I can feel healing and growth coming.
2022-11-05
9. Richard Cabral - That was absolutely one of the most influential podcast I’ve had the pleasure of listening to. I connected in so many ways that it’s been on my mind so heavy . Thank you for helping shed light on things that so many of us have endured. It’s gives hope when you see others have made it . The emotions he was feeling radiated through the mic . And struck a cord that I didn’t know was still yearning to be heard . You said so many things I’ve felt been never knew how to articulate. And for that I am truly grateful.
2022-11-03
10. Wow - I just listened to the one with Richard Cabral and we couldn’t be farther apart. He grew up in gangs , and prison and I am in the Bible Belt midwest, homeschooled and now a mom and working every day running a restaurant . Living the Suburban life but I am so touched by his story. The part about him saying maxing out in everything in your life I found so inspirational and so profound . And being present and just live your kids . Thank you for bring these stories out to the world.
2022-10-27
11. Rare souls - Just want to thank you for bringing this podcast and your views of life you among many others are real ones as I can relate to the gifts and curse of the thought process for others to do the right thing, regardless, and carry that integrity throughout our lives so that one can never put a price on.
2022-10-14
12. Helping rehabilitate psycho accused of domestic abuse - Shame on you Jon. Helping to give a voice to an abusing wacko is despicable. This podcast is an affront to all victims of domestic abuse. You truly have to be a horrible person to host a podcast like that. Disgusting vile filth. Apple take this garbage off your service, it’s toxic and shouldn’t be allowed to exist here.
2022-09-16
13. Shia - The Shia talk was amazing. He is a prime example of growth, change and forgiveness. I’ve never even met the guy but I am proud of him for his ability to see who he is and what he’s done, and be so honest, open and humble. I truly hope he finds that peace within himself that he deserves. Thank you for sharing.
2022-09-02
14. This show changed my opinions - I’ve been a fan of Jon since I hated him on TWD. Too many shows today are toxic in their their vitriol of current events and the human condition. The Shia episode was powerful ad I was someone who hit rock bottom in life and was seconds away from suicide. Kyle’s take on Colin Kapernaeck changed the way I see the situation. Its so cool to see you the positivity bringing people together. Well done!

Comments
1. Corny but well intended - Jim isn’t my favorite host out there. He’s pretty hokey and doesn’t really add to the storytelling or discussions. Some of the ghost tales are interesting while plenty more are uninteresting and poorly told. I have listed to this post for a year but with every episode I wonder why I’m still subscribed. It’s not terrible it’s just that there is better out there and I’m over Jim’s corny dad delivery.

2. Great general interest ghost show! - I think this is great for anyone wanting to learn more about the paranormal but who is also weary of creepypastas and paranormal professionals with a fixed narrative or agenda. Just random people with truly random paranormal stories, all set in a cozy and curious atmosphere that’s both entertaining and respectful. They’re not all bangers, but in a way that’s also what makes them believable. (There are also definitely bangers here and there)
2023-03-19
3. Been with Jim's Campfire for almost a decade! - Some of the best paranormal content out there! Love this man and everything he does. Found him through Where Did the Road Go? almost ten years ago when Jim was a recurring guest on the show. There is some awesome campfire books to accompany this wonderful podcast too! Hope he is working on another one!
2023-03-03
4. This podcast is my guilty pleasure! - I am the only person I know who is as into the paranormal as I am…and I even come from a family of believers. When I stumbled upon this podcast, I was delighted. Couldn’t get enough so I became a plus club member. I’ve only been listening since July , but I’m already back to mid- in older episodes. I listen anytime I’m driving or home alone and if you see an earbud in my ear, I’m definitely listening to Campfire. If you love the paranormal, you will love everyone's stories!
2023-02-01
5. Love this show ! - years listening to Campfire and It is the Best spooky podcast in the world. I tried them all. I just don’t understand why some listeners have bad insulting reviews instead of sharing in polite way opportunities and ideas of improvement. Otherwise, commercials are necessary. So don’t criticize that part because all of us stick our heads onto television and accept all ridiculous pubs with big smile. Let the man feed his family and entertain us.
2023-01-29
6. The Best Spooky Show - This is my absolute favorite paranormal podcast! I love people telling their own stories, and Jim always asks the best questions. If you’re looking for a sometimes spooky, sometimes comforting, sometimes out of this world paranormal podcast, look no further, this is the one. Plus there’s so much content, just listen!
2023-01-11
7. Great podcast! - Very professional and pleasant host. Of course this podcast is dependent on the caller telling the story. Not everyone can tell a good coherent story… Not everyone has the gift to spin even the most fascinating encounter or experience into a great story. Some callers hem and haw and we have to suffer through nonsensical ramblings and a lot of “Umm umm”. Not the host’s fault, and most callers are interesting. Love to listen on way to and from work.
2023-01-05
8. Can’t Get Enough! - I’ve been a listener for years now, and there’s a reason for that! I do a hour drive very often, and this podcast is always what gets me through. The stories are interesting and usually really creep me out! (Who knew the Hatman was so common??) Plus, Jim has a great voice and personality to host a show like this, he really takes it to a new level. Can’t wait to listen for many more years to come!
2022-12-13
9. Great spooky show I never miss an episode of - I love true paranormal stories. If you do too, this is your show. Jimmy knocks it out of the park each week and does a good job with the guests that call in. The only issue, and it’s minor, is the shows seem to be a bit top heavy. Meaning, the better stories are earlier on in the show. I understand why that would be, but near the end it it can get a little…bleh. However, you can’t always bet on that being the case because I’ve heard some bangers late in the episodes. So, it’s always good to keep listening till the end. The Campfire is one of my constants that I listen to year round. I listen while mowing, when working alone, on long or short trips, etc. No reason to not become a fan!
2022-10-24
10. DREAMS ARE NOT PARANORMAL. - Nothing paranormal, just women with rising inflections talking about “scary” dreams. ALMOST EVERY CALL IS A DREAM. They’re always “sensitive” to the paranormal, always have a podcast & Jim eats it up. The remainder are stories of road trips where someone saw a hitchhiker, water hammer misinterpretations and “feelings.”
2022-10-23
11. Consistency, Class, & Character Fuels the Fire - As your typical ‘guy’ who thrives on routines governed by the policy that says “don’t fix it if it’s not broken,” when I find a food, product, service, tool brand, coffee shop, or medium of entertainment that i enjoy, I tend stick to it. My podcast loyalty is no different, so when I found Mr. Harold’s spooky studio and his flagship Campfire show, I said to myself, “where has this show been all my life?!!” Mr. Harold brings the same kind hearted nonjudgemental spirit (no pun intended) to each suspenseful and out of this world episode each week in a format suitable for the ten-year-old little brother all the way up to the -year-old millennial yuppy couple whose primary enjoyment outside of work is binging on true crime and hunting for new cinematic exploits of the occult as part of their never ending pursuit of the ultimate anxiety inducing deadbolt double-checker demon flick …. before the reality of Monday morning sets in… Of all the “true first-hand account” paranormal podcasts, Jim brings the best blend of quality and quantity with absolutely no shortage of either; in doing so, Mr. Harold sets the bar even higher with each episode and what seems like zero intention of slowing down. Make sure to download the “spooky studio” app!
2022-10-20
12. Always interesting stories - Long time listener; I like the new cold open I’ve been listening for a few years and really enjoy the unusual & always interesting stories told by the folks who experienced them I’ve tried lots of podcasts but always come back to Jim Harold’s campfire; he has such a nice way of handling his callers and getting the best details and emotional impact of their experiences
2022-10-10
13. quantity over quality - The guests have good stories but they’re rushed through, and the host only asks boring basic questions (if any at all) Jim is surprisingly bad at interviewing for having done this so long. His responses are basically “nyeah (yeah), ohhh.. ahhhh.. scary indeed.. bye.” A bot could do his job and you’d never notice the difference. Other than declaring how long each guest has listened to the show he has no interest in them. He seems to put all of his nasally lispy voice effort into reading weird commercials and pretending like he’s really into the product (so phoney). There’s a lot of good paranormal podcasts out there.. this one is VERY basic. It’s good to listen to when you catch up on all the good ones that are out there. one star .. two on occasion.
2022-09-16
14. Great podcast! - A lot of people complain that stories are fake but I feel that you don’t know what real is you didn’t or have a experience. People come on to tell their min stories to share their true to them stories and experiences. I’m not an actor I’m a person that has had an experience! I have been on the show and Jim is very nice and professional. I hope more people find him if your feeling spooky and is curious of the unknown :)

1. So close to a - I absolutely love this podcast. It’s intriguing and honest. My only wish is that Ben could be a little less judgmental. I can’t pin point it. But sometimes his questions and tone are judgmental. I understand certain guests are involved in unethical behavior, but isn’t that the point of the show? People are discussing shameful parts of their life that they keep secret. For that reason I think they need to be interviewed with a bit more empathy or else no one’s going to be fully honest on the show.

2. Love is complicated but not impossible - This latest conversation was sort of tough to listen to from a moral standpoint, but I can understand how hard it is to extricate yourself from a spider’s web. I do hope that she realizes in advocating for herself that she shouldn’t have to be this Marine’s personal escort. Did he truly help her or just trap her in a different type of abuse? Great questions from the host as always.
2023-01-26
3. Nice work, Anna! - Anna is unflinchingly honest in her story. That took great bravery, and I applaud her for that. There’s not a lot of women out there (including me) that could or would speak honestly about the feelings of reluctance to follow the societal norms of having children. Thank you for sharing
2022-11-11
4. Please get back to your old format! - This podcast used to be compelling, challenging, interesting.. storytellers talked about their worst lies, biggest mistakes, worst moments…. Some were comical, hilarious moments of poor judgment. What on Earth is happening with the new episodes?! You used your company card to go to lunch with your mom?? Oooooh! Someone call the authorities! A lady’s professor made her a squirrel/rat-whisperer?
Shocking!
Recent guests sound like they’re describing bad acid trips… While on acid… Except, boring, and where nothing happens.
Take time to source good content, then release new episodes.

5. “They knew” - I had such a hard time finishing this. Kind of insulting that you thought listeners wouldn’t know… I mean for crying out loud the build up was ludicrous and so painfully, just baaaaad. And then i read some of the other reviews & apparently this is a thing? To do this long, painful buildup to “a nothing burger” (to quote another reviewer). LOL Anyone with a brain could easily deduce that those kids were his “other family”. She is clearly her biggest fan, hope she didn’t break her arm patting herself on the back. I couldn’t believe how she was dissing her parents &… I dunno. The concept is good. I guess I will give it another shot, with another episode. I’m just glad she isn’t a regular. I sure would love to hear someone else (a sibling of hers or one of her parents) give their perspective. Feels a bit embellished to me. Hope she got the trophy she thinks she deserves. Ugh. I hate the way she trashed her parents. She detaches with love??? Seriously? That’s love?

6. Captivating and well done! - I listen to a lot of podcasts, but this is the first time I have ever reviewed one. I absolutely love the premise of the show, and each one I have listened to is so interesting. What I like most though, is that Ben is so kind to each guest; he never judges anything they have been through. His questions are so thoughtful, and I just love the way he speaks to each person on the show. I highly recommend that others listen!
2022-08-27
7. Love HIM - So I listen to lots of Podcasts, but WOW I love this man’s voice, his personality, & his perfect skills to make anything sounds so beautiful! I love him more than the other podcasts I thought I loved like, Crime Junkie, morbid, & others. He is just such a BEAUTIFUL person, always puts a smile on my face & brightens my mood.
2022-07-08
8. Fabulous podcast & host! - One of my top favorite podcasts ever. I am a sucker for story telling, and this really hits. Ben is such a great interviewer - very authentic and genuine, empathetic yet gently pushes when needed. Only complaint - give the people more content! I would love to see a weekly podcast. I save up episodes for a month or two so I can binge, and I get so sad when I run out of content. It’s just such a great show.
2022-06-23
9. The grave in the basement. - Listening to the last episode “The grave in the basement “…had to stop to listen to this stupidity…”he was going to kill me in the basement…went to stay with my friend for couple day and came back to him for couple more days…” I guess with drugs there is no common sense…
2022-05-21
10. Sugar rush - This podcast is wonderful! I haven’t stopped thinking about this episode since I listened to it, over a month ago! All the episodes are excellent but I’ve never wanted to hug someone so much before in my life! Eralyns story was so raw, and beautiful and my heart aches for her all the time. I’m so glad she had a safe place to tell her story. Your work is so important, it’s a form of therapy and it’s beautiful and I love it!

1. Best Pod!!! & got me into other podcasts! - Truly my FAVORITE pod out there! Listening makes me feel like I’m literally hanging with my besties talking about silly random things. Listen to one episode and you’ll be hooked!!! :) The What We Said pod got me into podcasts, and now I listen to more. Found great other pods from the guests on this show.

2. Absolutely loved your “exposing ourselves” episode - At the very end of this episode you ladies depicted perfectly how I feel. Wanting to be a “girls girl” and how that can be misinterpreted. You totally hit the nail on the head. LOVED This episode and feel like you guys are putting a lot of thought into your episodes!

3. Y’all make me happy - Jaci and Chelsea… I am in a weird phase of life right now. I recently lost my best friends(pretty much my only friends” because they got in a big fight. My parents and sister are spending the year in Mexico, they all work remotely, so I couldn’t join them. So I’ve definitely been feeling lonely. I’ve listened To the podcast since it started, and I’m pretty sure I’ve listened to every single episode twice now. In the car, at the gym, my daily walks and even at work. It makes me feel like I have some sort of community, which is so vital to me right now, so thank you times a bajillion. Xoxo I wanna share some of my fav moments from the pod: . When Jaci smelled her belly button king . The last mins of Chelsea’s gender reveal episode, I relisten to that specific part any time I’m feeling reallly down, it slays, you both just spat facts lol Anyways I love you guys, you’re helping me through a hard period of my life and I’m beyond grateful.

4. Tiger Queens - As a fellow GHS Tiger (‘), I found this podcast by accident and have been listening for a few years now. I also live in Southern California, with family still in Gilbert. I loved my experience in both the school and the town and enjoy hearing your perspectives. Your insights on life, what your learning, and reflections are wonderful. I wish I had this as a resource in my ’s and ’s. I wouldn’t have felt so alone in these everyday common struggles. Keep up the good work!

5. love them, but out of touch! - I’ve been listening to this podcast for a while and I truly believe that the girls don’t mean any wrongdoing, but lately I’ve been noticing that the things they say are very out of touch with the reality of many people. The girls live a very privileged life with lots of flexibility and prosperity which isn’t a bad thing, but they need to recognize this! Things like trying out new workout classes, finding time to go to the gym, eating clean, going on daily walks, etc., are things much of the country simply don’t have access or ability to do. Things in life become a lot simpler with money and it’s important for the girls to recognize this on the podcast!

6. - i love the podcast, the best thing to listen too. i couldn’t even tell you girls how many times I started dying of laughter bc of how funny it is - and then i have my AirPods in so people be looking at me like im crazy and you know what i am but this podcast keeps me sane, i love the confessions episodes those get out of hand every time you all never let us down also if you could do any episode pop culture
2023-03-16
7. Self improvement episodes… - Like many others have said, the “advice” and self improvement episodes are getting SO repetitive. I find myself almost confused when listening because it’s like they’re talking in circles about nothing. Walks, a self care routine, changing up your wardrobe, and elevating your daily tasks and routines is apparently the answer for everything. I actually agree with that, those are great tips for most things in life. But we’re sick of hearing it over and over and over!!!
2023-03-16
8. One L after another - Honestly, I tried to look past the privileged, white girl, Mormon mentality for soo long but honestly it’s been one disappointing episode after another. They are full of ‘conspiracies’ until it’s about celebrities that they worship then they ‘can’t be sure’. It’s not just that example but ’s of others. I can already hear them say “if you don’t like us then don’t listen” - well, here’s to hoping you grow like you said you would and this is a warning to any potential new listeners!!
2023-03-16
9. Hard to enjoy anymore - Podcast topics have been become very repetitive. Coming up with a different way to title the subject at hand doesn’t change that the meat of the episodes are generally the same. Low energy from Jaci and how many times can Chelsey say “ya know?” in one episode. Just not very good anymore and hard to listen to.
2023-03-14
10. Getting tired of it - I’m an OG listener and used to LOVE this podcast. I used to listen to every episode because listening to it felt like hanging out with friends, but the pod has gone very downhill. I see a lot of complaints about the ads, but I can handle the ads, I’m all about getting that bag. What I can’t stand is the repetitive topics and life updates that take up half the episode. I’ve shifted to only listening to the story episodes and I’m not sure I can take it much longer. I’m so sorry, but I don’t want to listen to minutes of Jaci talking about how she thinks Uber has gone downhill. Vapid is definitely a good description.

11. Love this pod & the girls! - I have been a listener for a solid years now, I absolutely love What We Said & look forward to listening weekly! The online show y’all did back in the fall of got me through a TDY (temporary duty) my husband had with the Army! The story episodes are my! fav! Love you guys thank you for the joy you bring!!!
2023-03-09
12. Definitely entertaining, for sure… - Very entertaining and an easy listen while cooking and multitasking. BUT… I chose the “are you smarter than a th grader” episode as my first, and I just gotta say this episode has me seriously worried for human kind… I really never knew people could be this dumb!
2023-03-09
13. Jaci has turned into a mean girl :( - I’ve always loved this podcast, but I feel like Jaci has changed over the last year and has turned into a mean girl. I used to think she was so relatable and fun, but now she seems disconnected from reality and really disingenuous. I feel like she’s even rude to Chelsey at times. I saw them live, and it made it seem even more like Jaci is insincere. :( I still love listening to and following Chelsey because it seems like she has stayed authentic and kind-hearted. Maybe it’s just me that feels like this, but I did stop listening because of it. :/
2023-03-08
14. New listener - Started listening last summer after they collaborated with Pretty Basic and I’ve been binge listening since then. Just caught up. I would love to listen to an episode with Beth and James. Beth is hysterical anytime she’s been on the pod and so I bet their dynamic would be entertaining. Congrats to them on the precious baby girl, too!

1. Love Kelly and Rick! - Wow such a great podcast and I love how real and honest Rick and Kelly are. They make me laugh every podcast and I enjoy listening to their recaps and stories. Kelly how are you not on RHOOC anymore, you made that show and the ratings were the best when you were on it. Plus you were my favorite housewife!! So glad you and Rick do these podcasts Can you please start sharing you recipes! layer bean dip? or come out with a cookbook with you and Rick
2022-12-03
2. Kelly is getting really really old - Kelly is really getting too old for some of her opinions of ‘older women’. Newsflash, YOU’RE AN OLDER WOMAN KELLY. I love her and the drama on RHOC but this is just toooooo much of Kelly’s dumb opinions. Oh, and she has a drinking problem. This was my first time listening and I am NOT subscribing.
2022-11-29
3. Love you both !!! - Love the pod and love the recaps !!! Can you please recap RHOP ? I think Rick would be so entertained by the ladies. Keep up the great work! Kelly , please don’t say Heather’s children have issues. I don’t think that’s true or nice. I was upset by that comment on last weeks podcast. Please stop saying everyone is “Woke” . Just because you don’t like something someone says , it doesn’t mean they’re woke. Just a suggestion.
2022-11-26
4. Almost awesome - I think these two are hilarious. I love how Rick giggles when Kelly says something funny. I love when Kelly imitates a HW. I love when she spills behind the scenes tea. I also love when their friend Sandra sits in. That being said… please, please, please, steer away from the politics. It stops being fun when political views come into play. Please, this is a country divided. Be a part of the solution.

1. Talk about dating at a young age!! - Love this podcast it’s honestly so nice just to hear real people talking about real bleep I think it would be really cool for them to talk about young love I had my first girlfriend (right after I came out as queer) at and I was so In love and I want to know when do you think it a good time to start dating my relationship was never taken seriously and was called just puppy love it’s weird to talk about yo having full blown relationships you and I want to know there take also love the TMI episodes

2. I need to listen every single day. - From watching back to school videos entering middle and high school to now in a self discovery era in my s, your voices are everything I’ve needed to get me through this journey called life. I get my laughter, my big sis advice, my guidance and inspiration from Pretty Basic. The last two eps I’ve listened to hit me deep inside almost crying hearing your “I’ve made it” stories gives me hope I’ll make it one day too. Thank you ladies for being the figures every girl needs to look up to. I love you two so much.
2023-03-08
3. Way too much ab how to become an influencer - Why are so many of the episodes ab how to succeed as an influencer? No one actually cares ab that. Stop listening to your millennial team (cough TK cough) this is not what gen z cares about, and to be candid you guys don’t really know how it is now. If you hadn’t started a decade ago, I’m not sure you would’ve made it during this era I miss the old content:/
2022-10-22
4. Stop talking about OG YouTube. - This podcast is good but I’m so tired of talking about OG YouTube! All of the convos somehow go back to being an OG, how seriously Alisha takes YouTube, etc. I understand wanting to talk about things that impact you but I cannot listen to this same topic over and over again. These convos aren’t evolving with your audience. I do not particularly care about OG YouTube or the hard parts of being a creator. I have no desire to become a creator. If you want to have those topics please dedicate an episode to it so those who are interested can listen and those who aren’t know the topic!
2022-10-16
5. uh - It takes a lot for me to say this, as Remi is a woman of color, but after the past couple of episodes, it has become evident that for both Alisha and Remi, it’s impossible to recognize their privilege. Alisha and Remi continuously use AAVE; Remi has continued to go to Hawaii after years of ingenious people of that land have been begging people to stop. Then proceeds to go to the dole plantations, please anyone with Brain, please go look up the history of Dole. They were then comparing their influencing jobs to -. Some teachers can not afford supplies for their classroom, but Remi can afford a $ smoothie daily.
2022-10-12
6. Impending Friendship Breakup - I know Alisha gets a lot of flack, but I’ve been listening for a few years and feel like Remi has become super rude lately. She mocks anything Alisha says or does wrong, constantly holds it over her head, and usually plays devils advocate when Alisha brings up literally anything. It’s like Remi is playing AGAINST Alisha rather than with her. I think Alisha has been doing a brilliant job and I’m loving her thoughts lately and how internal she’s being, but I miss how smooth this friendship used to be on the podcast.
2022-10-10
7. Missed opportunity for relatability. - Alisha, for you to be able to comfort yourself by thinking people were tagging you to hear the opinion shows how out of touch you come off sometimes. Remi, maybe it’s because you’ve never had a job outside of social media, but heads up, it’s beyond common for people who work “regular” jobs to stay awake at night stressing about work. This was a hard topic for you guys to bring up and, unless you could hit it out of the park with your opinions, I think they were better left unsaid. After listening- it’s clear that you guys don’t understand the reason everyone is insulted by the original tik tok.
2022-10-06
8. “Is It Too Late to Reach Out” Really Helped Me - I’ve been diving back into Pretty Basic HARD lately. This most recent episode about reaching out was scarily too accurate to what I’m experiencing in life right now. I value this episode so freaking much like more than I think I’ll ever know. I just wanted to deeply and oh so sincerely say thank you to Remi and Alisha for this episode because it’s helped me more than they’ll ever know
2022-09-09
9. Read the room :/ - It pains me to write this because I care for both of these girls, but I’m having such a hard time relating to their privilege and lack of nuance. Of course it’s good to be positive and try to spread joy, but read the room a little and be mindful of the audiences that you are influencing please. Your privilege can be alienating and your view on certain topics can be a limited and unrealistic at times.
2022-08-21
10. Not bad! - Their conversations are pretty fun to listen to! Even so, I don’t think I’ll continue to keep up because there are a lot of ads and sometimes multiple sponsorships in each podcast that interrupt the flow of the conversation. I understand they want to make money off this show but It’d be nice if they could tone it down. Just not for me.
2022-08-08
11. Friendship - I’m new to your podcast and I’m loving it. I was so happy to hear you two using the We’re Not Really Strangers card game. Months ago I bought a game like this geared to increase intimacy in relationships and I swear it should be named How to Destroy Your Relationship in Five Minutes. Every card was so negative. After looking at the first cards I put it down. Nothing good would have come from asking or answering any of those horrible questions. I’m going to order the friendship card set for my husband and I to use.
2022-08-01
12. Not a fan - These two are sooooo out of touch of reality & act like teenage spoiled brats. All y’all’s personality is, is capitalism & How to make profit. Everything Alisha talks about is money, making money or turning depression into content? How disgusting & really shows what kind of ppl they are. Big ick
2022-07-21
13. Don’t make depression an aesthetic - Alisha please don’t make depression an aesthetic. It’s great to talk about it but be serious. You’re doing it more for content (content baby content). Making content of you crying and making fun that you’re missing serotonin isn’t funny. It’s getting annoying how you use depression for content. At least be serious about it.
2022-07-06
14. MY FAV PODCAST EVER!!!! - I’ve been a fan of Remi & Alisha since and seeing them grow and mature over the years is amazing. I feel that you girlys are my big sisters, i appreciate your girlys advice and being open and raw on the podcast! thank you for being your authentic selves and just be absolutely crackheads on the pod lol

2. Good but too much… - Too much like an audiobook for me. I don’t like audiobooks because I prefer reading, so I find the same voice over and over monotonous. I feel podcasts are wasted with this format, when you could do so much more like interview others, like the “Otherworld” podcast, making it like a documentary. It’s more believable for one thing. This just sounds like stories - nothing scary here.
2023-02-22
3. Don’t change a thing!!! - Lover of all things paranormal here. Sir, your tone, delivery, eeriness, seriousness, and even length of each episode is spot on. Do not change a thing. I’m so glad I found this podcast. I mostly listen to true crime podcasts. This is the only paranormal one that I listen to. Thanks for the great content. Best wishes.
2022-09-22
4. This is how it should be done! - Forget interviews and call-in guests. A good story deserves a good storyteller and that makes all the difference! This podcast has me looking twice at shadowy corners, and, like a child, making me take running leaps into bed at night (so nothing can grab my ankles before the safety of my duvet)!
2022-08-10
5. Love this pod! - Kev’s storytelling is phenomenal, he really gives the writers of listener stories so much life, like the person is really recounting that story to you on air. The haunting background music, his calming voice and wonderful accent set the perfect ambience for listening to such tales whether you believe them to be truthful, like I do, or not.
2022-07-05
6. Excellent show!! - So I heard the host on our good friends show Hillbilly Horror Stories, and he gave a great guest interview. So I thought I better check out his podcasts (will check the other one out soon) and this one is so good. Well produced, great narration and always creepy stories. Keep up the good work and much success to you!! Todd Cohost / Middle Aged And Creeped Out podcast

1. OMg - This is so good and creepy also when your listening with headphones in the dark and they have those noises and it be like “ IS THAT THE PODCAST OR MY HOUSE?” It’s always the podcast and in episode nightmare at the inn maybe the ghost was @bused and then she un@lived herself and they didn’t report it for their privacy Ps: I think I might have a sixth sense because I just get bad vibes the sudden and when I did once we actually had to do a hallway closure except I tell my parents these things and they don’t believe me they do t believe in the paranormal do it’s just me and my friends
2023-02-15
2. Mine - This is a good podcast it lets me know I’m not alone in the supernatural. This was a couple weeks ago I have school and it was or something and went outside because I needed my school stuff and went past on the porch there was this shovel that was straight up, then I went to the car and to my horror there was a person in the car tapping frantically at the window but when I went inside to check who was that in the car the person was not there so I went back outside and still saw the person frantically tapping as if the person is trying to escape something. I hope everyone believes this story because it’s true. I want to get a developer response.
2023-02-04
3. Authentic and Scary - It’s hard to find a good scary story podcast! I really love this one, because the stories are true and the people who experience the stories are the ones who tell them. It’s authentic and you can hear in their voices. I sometimes wish that Edwin would ask probing questions, but I also like hearing the uninterrupted account from the person who experienced the event. Thanks!
2022-12-08
4. YES YES YES - I’ve been looking for a show that’s reminiscent of Radio Rental and Spooked and this does NOT disappoint. Some popular shows have a singular host reading (highly questionable) Reddit posts, but these stories are told by the people who experienced them and are beautifully produced. So creepy and engaging. I’m so glad to have found this!
2022-10-21
5. Great podcast - I finished listening to all three of your podcasts and enjoyed the them. Me personally this is my favorite to listen to while I work my night shifts. I wish they were uploaded more because I go through them so fast but it’s ok I enjoy them very much and enjoy hearing other people experiences. Keep up the good work!!
2022-10-21
6. One of my favorites! Wish the episodes were longer tho. - I’ve heard all three of your podcasts and love them all! But there too short in my opinion. Especially the scary mystery surprise podcast. I love your genuine friendship and would enjoy to listen to y’all for more that - min. It’s just my opinion but you should make them longer.
2022-10-18
7. I have a scary story - I have a scary story my mom had a sister and she had an imaginary friend named Lisa than she got older and she lost interest my Moms house was always kind of creepy so my mom kept feeling kind of watched or scared than once she got as putting laundry it the wash and then she SAW… Lisa after that she never bothered her agen
2022-10-06
8. Great Stories & Production - I’m always on the lookout for podcasts with testimonial stories related to the paranormal. So many are filled with an over the top host reading the stories with cartoonish sound effects. This is not that. The stories are told by the witnesses themselves which always give them a better feel. And the occasional sound effects add to the ambiance instead of detracting from it. Really glad to have found this podcast and highly recommend if you’re a fan of paranormal haunting stories.
2022-09-29
9. Very spooky - I love Edwin’s podcasts and this one I have binged for several days in a row! I don’t get scared very easily, but a few of these had me to the point I had to pause for a while before I could continue. Listening with headphones really gives the full scary effect! I definitely can’t wait until more episodes come out! I will re-listen to all of them until they do.

1. Made me feel less alone - Sadie, I literally teared up listening to episode (I’m Drunk, Emotional, and Sharing Way to[o] Much). I have been exactly where you were in that moment, but I tell you what I did not handle nearly as well as you did, I promise. This podcast is great, and it is a great companion to go with the videos. Gives them more context. I do wish you would integrate the pod into episodes more tho.

2. review - First off I am definitely not a podcast type of person lol, but when i found out sadie had a podcast on youtube i decided to check it out cause i thought “well i love sadie’s videos so this podcast might even be better so i’ll give it a shot”. Ever since i listened to her first podcast ever i’ve been OBSESSED! I always watch for the notifications that she posted another podcast, so that i can listen to it right away. She is literally my favorite influencer ever. She’s just so real and tells things like it is. best influencer is hands down her. Sadie Crowell will not let u down with her content. She’s one of the funnest and realist people i’ve heard.

Torchering myself with extroverted outgoing mean popular girls making me feel like I’m social - Well if you like mean valley girls talking about social events being the most popular girls On the planet and never would care about you then this podcast is for you, but I myself don’t identify with their mean girl vibeez but I’m just torchering myself with their podcast to give me the illusion im cool and popular and hot girl

6. Real life with Sadie - Sadie is first of all a funny, sarcastic, attractive, confident woman. Her self-confidence is noted immediately throughout her content. She does things that real teenagers do. She’s not some rich snob who makes $k on each of her videos. That’s what’s nice about her. She’ll make the bad decisions alongside the decisions we make. So we can learn and make the same (but better) decisions later. This podcast is great! We really see into her real life and personality. DEFINITELY worth a listen to!!!
2022-06-29
7. Hilarious and Inspiring - I came across her one day while at the gym and I was pleasantly surprised and laughed a lot from all of her stories! She is raw and says if like it is! She even inspired me to start a podcast with my brother! Because if her we started the twInsanity podcast. I hope she will listen to it! But Great job!! I enjoy your podcast and hope you post soon !
