1. Refreshing and real! - Finally! Cynical and real and real women doing such a fun podcast, based in Oklahoma. Honestly, in a time of such heightened sensitivities, it’s refreshing to hear what they’ve had it with and often I find myself laughing out loud with recognition. Life is too serious - this brings me such joy. Thank you to you both as well as the surrounding, and highly entertaining people you have on the show.

2. I quit therapy bc of this podcast - I’ve had a toxic relationship with my mother for a couple decades now, so ever since I was a kid I was left to imagine what it would be like to have “normal” mom. Not sure what exactly that looks like but if I could choose, it would without a shadow of a doubt be Pumps.

3. So relatable - I have listened to all your podcast and I follow you on Instagram! You both are hilarious! I started watching your show years ago and was so excited to stumble upon your podcast. I laugh so much I often pee my pants listening to the two of you talk about everything that everyone else is thinking but to scared to say. Thank you for making my week more enjoyable!

4. Love them! - I was a huge Sweet Home Oklahoma fan and I am so glad they have a podcast. I am obsessed with listening. They are hilarious and I love the guests. I look like an idiot walking around laughing, but they are just so funny…and I can totally relate to all the things they’ve had it with. Do yourself a favor and listen!

5. Love this podcast!!! - I recently discovered this podcast and am binge-listening. I already sad that once I catch up there will only be - a week.
You ladies are hysterical! I love the discussions; the topics; the “guest speakers”; it’s all just LOL funny.
“I’ve had it” with all other boring podcasts!!!

6. Like being with your girls - Thank you ladies! Discovered you from a tik tok link sent to me by a friend. I die, every time there is some new thing that I possibly didn’t even know I’d had it with. F the haters, I’ve had with people who think they’re obligated to listen. If it’s not for you, move on!

This is the show that goes on in my head, when the cameras stop rolling. I get to ask the questions that I really want to know and talk to friends and experts about the topics I really want to discuss. It's unfiltered, often unhinged...it's Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa.

1. Thoroughly enjoyed! - I have been a Kelly fan since her All My Children days… I love her energy and her openness. I really appreciated hearing that most couples can benefit from marriage counseling. I appreciated both Kelly and Mark’s willingness to share helpful personal Information. For as perfect as they can look (and boy are they a good looking couple!) they are real people with real life challenges. Congrats on the premier episode. Best of luck to you on this new chapter!

2. Mark and marriage - I really enjoyed this. You two were real. You sounded like a typical happily married couple that has their problems. I understand the hanging up on the phone. I do that too. I fear conflict and when my husband starts raising his voice and not allowing me to talk I just hang up. In my family growing up my mother and her side of the family cuts you out of their life. There’s never a simple disagreement. So Mark be grateful she’s just hanging up on you. Lol. Depending on who your guest will be will determine when I tune in.
2023-03-23
3. Love hearing Kelly and Mark talk about marriage - I recently read Kelly’s book (listened to the audiobook) and both the book and this episode were really insightful about marriage. They are both very open, honest and genuine as they speak about the ups and downs of their relationship. I’m inspired by them both.

4. My Very First Podcast!! - This was the first podcast that I’ve listened to and just decided to try it after hearing about it on Kelly and Ryan. As / of a couple married for almost years and who tries to follow Bible counsel on marriage, I actually feel like I left with a positive takeaway from the guest, Dr. Linda Carter, about saying something appreciative about your mate each night before bed. I think that it’s something that we know we should do, but the specifics in that suggestion was helpful. I also really appreciated listening to Mark and Kelly’s conversation as empty nesters. It came across very sincerely. I have Kelly’s book and visited the show in , but Kelly was at her daughter’s graduation. This podcast has me looking forward to Mark as Kelly’s new cohost, where it will be like listening to your podcasts on a daily basis. But, although I’m from Chicago, I would love to be in the audience for your first show together. And, after writing this positive review, I think I should be invited to make up for Kelly not showing up in !

5. Fantastic! Bravo! - Kelly and Mark,
Thank you for spending time with an honest and interesting conversation. I felt a personal connection within the subject that you were discussing. I was silently thinking in my head…”yes! … exactly!… so true.” And followed by a few Ah Ha moments! Loved it! Can’t wait for next week!
2023-03-22
6. The best of Kelly Ripa - I will be honest I never really watched Kelly Ripa on her daytime talk show. However, I recently listened to her book and loved it. When I saw she had a new podcast, I knew I had to listen to the first episode. This is a side of Kelly you can’t see on a talk show on a major network. She is funny, quick witted, and naughty!
I’m very excited to listen to future episodes.

7. More Kelly? Yes Please! - Yay; finally get to hear your “NSFM” thoughts, and it’s great! Always telling my husband, “I wish I were ‘real’ friends with Kelly!” (NOT in a crazed-fan-type of way, I swear…[cue maniacal laughter]). Seriously though, really enjoyed this pilot episode and look forward to hearing more. One recommendation: maybe add links to your guests in the show notes/episode info, so listeners can find out more about Dr. Linda Carter and future guests...ya know, their services or available books, links, clips, yada yada etc. (and no your therapist did NOT put me up to this haha!) Anyhoo, thanks for your sharing your insights - as well as some laughs - and for always keeping it so real and grounded. You rock!

8. Outstanding! - I have been married for yrs. to my HS boyfriend. We were together for yrs. before we got married as we were & respectively. So yrs. together & this one podcast was so insightful that it will never leave my thoughts. Marriage takes a backbone, not a wishbone. Your work together is inspiring. Thank you so much.

1. Why does Podcasts allow ignorant trolls? - Dear Michele, your new podcast, as ALL your contributions to a better America, should not be allowed to be tarnished by racist, ignorant, hillbilly-comment trolls. Which is not to say there is not room for intelligent, thoughtful critical commentary. BUT then, calling out the (severely) less thoughtful-as of Marchth: T_Owens ( IQ); woodchuck (rodent moniker appropriate)); Elbob; (another IQ tell)l coopersweets (truly ignorant); Ashly (please do take up those kid scissors); Isaac.aka Fatdog (you do Tampa proud);Brovolde (that steak knife to the skull you suggest for yourself might indeed improve your cognitive skills); swapnuts (nothing more need be said ). Michele, you and we will always go high even when the Deplorables are looking up the bottom of their cesspools. Moderators, please make these and their worthless first cousins go away.
2023-03-24
2. Respect - I haven’t even listened to the entire podcast yet, but some of the inane remarks clearly illustrate that there are so many closed minded, mean spirited, and ignorant people out there. If your not a fan, why tune in? No one cares how you feel about this incredible women, wife, mom and First Lady. Way to go Michelle Obama
2023-03-23
3. Powerful Woman-My ONLY First Lady - So many people hate her for no reason she is the most loving person that you would ever know. She stood with integrity next to her husband all the years that he was an office. Her children were wonderful never in the headlines. So many people are hating and writing mean things already, but that just lets you know that you have a light that is so bright no one can dim. God has blessed you and has touched your family. With that no one else can touch you no matter what let them hate. Haters, keep hating, she’s gonna keep on smiling and keep on winning. She will ALWAYS be my ONLY and forever first lady.

4. Viewing or listening - Can you afford to come on a free podcast for us who cannot pay a podcast fee. I am years old and I love you and your family. Don’t let this world divide you family. I am sorry but your family is mentoring many young and younger children. Tell your daughters THANKS also!!!
Pastor Carolyn White Thanks To You And The President

5. Inspiring and Uplifting - Both episodes I’ve listened to were incredibly heartwarming. Michelle has so much class and grace in spite of all the vile hatred thrown at her for no reason. She inspires me to want to rise above. It’s very hard not to want to attack each and every hateful person in this review section with the same vitriol they project onto her. But that does nothing but double the amount of negativity there already is in the world. I can’t wait to read The Light We Carry. I appreciate you, Michelle, for being so candid and vulnerable with us. It helps to know that even someone who has achieved as much as you have is still human and understands the difficulty of just being a human in this world. You inspire me to be better. Thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do.

6. Forever Flotus - Strongly admire this lady. She speaks volumes eloquently! Such wisdom, integrity, morals so lacking in the division we find ourselves in! Allowing false narratives without speaking out allows them to grow and fester in our society. Why be complicit? Faux News lied to so many that half of America missed out on the truth! Bless her footsteps always! She envelopes a rich soul that I love. God bless the Obamas for all their steadfastness to honest decency!

7. Thank you for being the light in the darkness! - Thank you for being the light in the darkness! This is such a beautiful and inspiring podcast. As a True Crime Podcast Host, I need to listen to other podcasts that are full of light and HOPE when I’m not in production. This podcast is produced so beautifully, and Mrs. Obama shines as the Host!

8. The Light - Just what I needed!!! I am the eldest of children who has always struggled with being a ’first’- no room for error because I was ‘setting the example’ for the others. Your words are so helpful; patience, respect, take the position seriously- you are right; it’s hard! Thank you for your excellence; we need to hear your light! I feel better because of what you shared today.
I was feeling blue about my life choices and the fact that my sisters are not close with me. . . You put it into perspective by saying that it’s ok to follow a different path. Am sharing you with everyone! Can’t wait for the next episode- we NEED to hear voices we can trust and respect!

1. Love these guys and love these topics - I love to take a deep dive into obscure topics; podcasts seem to be the best format for that and these hosts are perfect for the topics. Listening to their soothing, almost muppet-like voices along with their gentle dad-joke-ish banter never ceases to elevate my mood. While my husband will never understand my fascination with, for example, the history of silly string, I find it to be the perfect antidote to the stresses of the world.

2. LOVE but so many commercials - I love SYSK. I have been listening since . It’s been my go to during car rides and before I go to bed at night. The only downside is the commercials. Some commercials are fine. I’ve even found some other good podcasts from the commercials on SYSK. But lately, they have had - minutes of commercials multiple times during one of their episodes. It’s getting harder and harder to choose SYSK over my other podcasts because of it. I would gladly pay a subscription fee in order to listen commercial free. GLADLY! I already pay to listen commercial free for some of my other podcasts. I hope that SYSK might consider this as an option for their listeners in the future.

3. Stuff you should know, very good - I have listened to stuff you should know about every night for about a year, and I could not have been doing better. I know all these cool and interesting facts. Stuff you should know is like a lullaby for me, I listen to it, hear a few facts and cool stuff, then BAM!! I am off to sleep! Love this show
2023-03-15
4. Listen to this pod almost every night - No offense to the hosts.. But i love listening to this podcast to go to sleep! It gives me something to focus on when my mine is racing and I also get to learn a little before drifting away.. i do listen to some errors multiple times until i get through them so it’s not that it’s boring. I find the hosts’ voicing pretty calming too.. dint write reviews much but wanted to show support

5. Friendly, Supportive, and Informative - I've been listening to Chuck and Josh since . Other podcasts have come and gone in my feed but SYSK has been a constant for me for over a decade. They've been familiar voices on foreign trips where I don't know the language, they've filled the silence of cooking dinner and doing chores when I lived alone, and now that I commute less they are the only podcast that I still make time for. Josh and Chuck approach each topic with kindness and open minds. They have a great chemistry with each other and enthusiasm for learning that is contagious. They are the best!
2023-03-12
6. My favorite pod - I listen non-stop while commuting and driving around my county in Kansas for my medical work. I always find something amusing, interesting and thought-provoking in every episode, even when the topic initially made me cringe or shrug. Thanks for always keeping me awake and entertained
2023-03-09
7. Pros and Cons - The main content of the show is interesting and the hosts are likable. Some topics are well communicated, others make it clear that more research would have helped. I’d like to listen more frequently, or play the show at night when going to bed, but the ads make that impossible. They are too frequent, too long, and too loud. That’s because I guess at some point the show was bought out by a corporate conglomerate, so don’t expect that aspect to improve.
2023-03-06
8. Fantastic! - Respectful, informative, and fun!! I love sysk!! Update: I want to come back every couple of years and update my review. I love chuck and josh. I listen to them almost every day. Have listened to episodes over and over as I clean the house or run errands. They were the first podcast I ever listened to years and years ago. They feel like friends. We don’t have the same beliefs, or agree on everything I’m sure. If I feel like an episode/subject might be too different from my views I just skip that one. Even so, I know they will be absolutely respectful of others views. I will forever be their fan and I hope they podcast forever.

The Witch Trials of J.K. Rowling is an audio documentary that examines some of the most contentious conflicts of our time through the life and career of the world’s most successful author. In conversation with host Megan Phelps-Roper, J.K. Rowling speaks with unprecedented candor and depth about the controversies surrounding her—from book bans to debates on gender and sex. The series also examines the forces propelling this moment in history, through interviews with Rowling’s supporters an...

1. Historically Vibes - I enjoy how this podcast takes apart history and the media age. This hot take on the internet through the early st century really shows how conflicts spiraled out of control and into mainstream media. When I speak to others about JK, most don’t have much to say. We all seem to be silenced by what she said and how she said it. It’s nice to hear her side and the side of trans folk. I am very interested to hear what she has to say when episode comes out.
2023-03-23
2. Barometer of Balance - Reading some previous reviews criticising producer Megan Phelps-Roper as being pro-Christian and sympathetic to transphobic views after transparently revealing her growing up in the Westboro Baptist Church, then leaving and changing her life and world view because of thoughtful caring people who had open respectful CONVERSATIONS with her is not credible.
It also does not take into account the fact that Andy Mills and Matthew Bill co-produced this podcast and would have to hold similar views which I find hard to believe.
I would encourage other listeners/ reviewers to visit The Free Press web page. Click and read the ABOUT link.
This was a thoughtful, compelling and balanced story (can’t wait for episode ). I know this to be true with me because every time I heard extreme views from either side of this socially and politically charged topic I felt VERY uncomfortable.
I hope a large majority of listeners had/have the same feelings.
2023-03-23
3. One star reviews make you look foolish - The one star reviews are a joke. So JK can’t have her own opinion if it does not agree with yours. That seems pretty narrow minded to me. She isn’t asking for repression or rule changes and doesn’t care what an adult chooses to do. If we have laws that kids can’t drink alcohol until they are or drive until we shouldn’t have rules on a child making a lifetime choice? No one cares what adults do but kids are a different story. The sad thing is that this makes me a bad person. This is all driven by social media algorithms.

4. Keep listening. Stay open. - Please keep listening to the rest of the episodes. I almost quit listening because I was disturbed by how sympathetic it seemed to be towards Rowling. The th episode was beautifully done and so so so important. So much tension held and so much compassion shown. Megan is doing an excellent job, asking the hard questions with appreciation for the cost. If I hadn’t left my Christian upbringing and community, I wouldn’t have learned the importance and struggle with asking and searching “what if I’m wrong.” Thank you to all the trans people who are giving so generously to help us understand - to know better and do better.
2023-03-23
5. listening to every episode - the low reviews seem to miss the point, which is that multiple narratives can and should coexist. "the truth" is confusing and stems from individuals' personal histories and socialization. this podcast teases forth the many truths and perspectives in this jk rowling situation. to me this method seems like the only way we can all gain empathy and tolerance for each other despite differences
2023-03-23
6. Misattributing Critical Theory concepts from university - First of all I have been enjoying this podcast a lot However, in episode , the idea is put forth that many ideas such as “identifying”, “privilege”, calling things “problematic” These are NOT ideas created by people on Tumblr. Those ideas were created in the Critical fields in the university system. Things like Critical Gender Studies, Critical White Studies, etc.

7. Thanks to all, especially Noah - I love this podcast for trying hard to see beyond the all-too-human tendency to dig in our heels and declare “if you’re not for me you’re against me.” In each episode, Megan Phelps-Roper has covered a different, important piece of this fascinating story. Episode was the best yet, even though it didn’t feature JK Rowling at all. I loved both Natalie and Noah telling their personal stories so brilliantly, and what I learned from Noah in particular went beyond all my expectations and preconceptions. The first five episodes were crucial in laying the groundwork for the sixth, and I look forward very much to hearing Rowling’s responses in the seventh, final episode. Noah said he hopes it will eventually become clear that JK Rowling means well. That is what I hope will happen too, because I believe it is surely true.

8. Stunning and Brave - Fair, balanced, in-depth and evenhanded this podcast delves into the history of controversies surrounding the Harry Potter franchise and its author dating back to the early s - from being accused of spreading Satanism by the Evangelical Right to being accused of spreading transphobia by the Modern Left. Standing up to the bullies seeking to use the trappings of progressivism to legitimize misogyny, violence, and the erasure of women’s safety, JK Rowling offers a raw, rare and honest conversation with The Free Press that discusses her history as an abuse survivor, her spirit as a fighter, and her recent ordeals of being targeted for harassment by an online mob. The podcast offers a meditation on the nature of identity, internet hate, and the clash of cultures while simultaneously bringing in-depth reporting about the recent swell of debate regarding the Harry Potter franchise. Stellar job on both accounts.

I’m Glennon Doyle, author of Untamed, the book that was released at the very start of the pandemic and became a lifeline for millions. I watched in awe from my home while this simple phrase from Untamed – WE CAN DO HARD THINGS – the mantra that saved my life twenty years ago, became a worldwide rally cry. Life is freaking hard. We are all doing hard things every day – we love and lose; we forge and end friendships; battle addiction, illness, and loneliness; care for children and parents;...

1. This podcast always makes me smile and feel less alone - Whether you guys are talking about hard things or easy things, this podcast makes me smile and feel less alone in a time when we are all still so uncomfortably isolated. I look forward to my “me” time (whenever I can squeeze it in as a mom of two young kids) even if it means it takes me hours to finish a minute episode. Sometimes, I feel like a rd sibling, separated at birth from Glennon and sister — I find myself saying “yes! Exactly!” out loud as I listen along. I, too, am unable to be “light” and breezy. I don’t know how to have fun. My wife is the opposite, and she reminds me of Abby sometimes. The three of you provide a wonderful balance and it’s a privilege to be invited into your conversations. You guys get it. And it makes all the difference. Thank you for doing this. We need it. I need it.

2. I love it!! - I just recently discovered this podcast and I cannot stop listening! It is like a balm to my soul. Support, love, and kindness radiate each episode and I find so much soooo relatable. I often get goosebumps and tears in my eyes while listening. And everyone on here is so authentic and inspires that in their guests. Thank you for putting this wonderful podcast out into the world. We really need it. I truly cherish it.
2023-03-23
3. The BEST podcast for real talk and ways to improve yourself - I am OBSESSED with anything Glennon. I feel we are the same person in some ways. It’s comforting to listen and I notice I’m saying ‘yup, yup, and yup to that. And oh yeah! Me too!’ Abby and Sister are amazing and their internal insight is something I strive for on the daily. Love y’all!

4. Life Changing - This podcast is my go to for all life things. Work, relationship, culture. All three of these women bring such wonderful perspectives and thoughtful analysis of our current state of being. I listen every week and am so intellectually stimulated and motivated to make changes. If I could rate “We Ca Do Hard Things” a million stars I would.

5. An open invitation to be better humans one podcast at a time - This podcast is so important to the world and the individual. It can raise the vibration of the human state if we take the opportunity. Selfishly, I learn so much - parenting, privilege, respect, kindness - and the many faces it takes. As a yr old white mom I’m probably the strike zone demographic but seriously- the topics are all so helpful and things I am so curious about but could not curate a space to explore on my own. I want this kind of righteous curiosity for everyone. Love this pod!
2023-03-23
6. So grateful - Since words won’t adequatley express how much I love this podcast, my actions will show you how much I do. There are a few episodes I have listened to more times than I can count (the episode with Dr Becky and the episode featuring Abby where she talks about ending her unrequited love). I’ve sent several episodes to my therapist and several to my friends…and my friends send them to me too! Some of these discussions have led to crucial “aha” moments for me. I am very grateful for this podcast. Thank you. Keep doing the good work!
2023-03-23
7. All of it - Wisdom, laughing, tears, tips, fears, wins and losses- Glennon, Abby, and Amanda take you through it all and each episode is a gift. The guests they bring on are all basically icons, and teach me something every time. I have laughed out loud in my car (the embarrassing stories episodes- are you kidding) on my way home from hard days working as a nurse, cried picking up my house listening to stories about strength and resilience, and caught myself opening my notes app in a fury to jot down quotes by them in stories that felt relatable to my own experiences that I needed to hear. Very grateful and an absolute worthwhile listen.
2023-03-23
8. Amazing! - I listened to the Untamed audiobook and realized I needed more Glennon!! Then once I found this podcast I was so excited! These three ladies have so much wisdom and are so real. I love listening before work it always gets me so excited to work on myself and be a better me. Thank you all for making this podcast a thing. I love listening!

*** Named a best podcast of 2021 by Time, Vulture, Esquire and The Atlantic. *** Each Tuesday and Friday, Ezra Klein invites you into a conversation on something that matters. How do we address climate change if the political system fails to act? Has the logic of markets infiltrated too many aspects of our lives? What is the future of the Republican Party? What do psychedelics teach us about consciousness? What does sci-fi understand about our present that we miss? Can our food system be just to...

1. In the minds of spiders - AI is the current topic of interest. And it strikes me as a mirage, the last wisps of a mist disappearing with the morning sun. According to James Hansen, we may hit .C of warming as soon as next year. This fact will revolutionize our future more than AI or any innovation we come up with. And the longer we ignore this fact the less power we will have to affect it. Yet we continue to be primarily fascinated with our own concerns and projects, like AI. Meanwhile the undermining of our civilization by global warming continues. Soon it will be too late to avoid irreversible processes, and we will wonder what we were so fascinated by? AI? Really? Was it just a distraction? Maybe the smarter species are the spiders. Maybe sentience is a mirage.

2. If I’m stranded on an island with just one podcast… - Ezra Klein’s capability of parse out a broad range of topics in their depth with each interviewee, while keeping the conversation fluid and concise, is nothing short of extraordinary. It’s truly a demonstration of incredible research, curiosity and empathy on his and his team’s part. The occasional yet phenomenal episodes with the speculative/sci-fi creators always make me tick. After Ted Chiang and N.K, Jemisin, Adrian Tchaikovsky finally made his appearance. What a treat! Now I’m just praying for the debut of Murakami Haruki :)
2023-02-24
3. Pain and systemic inequalities - The interviewee and Klein’s uncritical enthusiasm are deeply problematic. What about those of us who are overlooked or stereotyped by healthcare professionals? Black women are perceived to experience less pain; obese people are a stereotype of symptoms that are their own fault; poor people are unworthy of healthcare, etc. Not until the very end of the interview does the interviewee clarify that stress (well, more importantly, it seems she means the patient’s poor choices) is not the only source of pain. It’s so repugnantly irresponsible to ignore health provider bias and systemic inequities.
2023-02-21
4. Great! - I’ve always appreciated Ezra’s thoughtful takes on a variety of topics. He often ends up asking the very questions that I naturally ask while listening to the interview subject while I’m in my car. I actually prefer the non-purely political episodes (Rick Rubin, housing in blue states, Dan Savage) which makes sense since the NK Jemisin episode from the Vox days was what truly sold me on the show initially. Those are the episodes that feel like they open up my mind and make me more curious about the world.

5. The argument against the $ Billion Attention Industry - Great show on the flaw in the attention economy. Thank you. My advice - Consumers and business owners alike, get off the big-tech digital grid. Not only is automated marketing less effective, but it widens the wealth gap by giving power to wall street backed big-tech firms and away from community. Stop spending on email marketing programs, google ads, instead send personal individual messages one person at a time (even if you only reach a fraction of your mailing list). It is still more effective. For more tips on unplugging from the big-tech grid check IG realworldmarketingrocks or SpreadLoveFm.com Trev

6. I worked for the government. Please don’t call us bureaucrats. - I am a proud civil servant serving my country and community. It’s derogatory and destructive to call us bureaucrats. Using this language makes a bigger gap between the American people and their government. We need to strengthen that relationship not weaken it and use language that results in civil servants being threatened.
2023-02-07
7. Smart but smug - Klein is brilliant and interesting, but the lazy (and quite self-satisfied) “progressive” bias of the Times rears its ugly head in nearly every episode. Bring on some intelligent guests who actually disagree with you, or at least some who gesture towards more interesting (and less america-centric) ways of thinking on the left.
2023-02-02
8. Very cerebral - Really intelligent argument and analysis. But it starts feeling a little gratuitous. Instead of dissecting the Republican Party and giving them even more attention I wish the American intellectual liberal would work on developing new ideas about economics or government and policy. The topics here tend to be simultaneously impressive and boring and also useless. I feel like we could do better.

1. This show lost its magic. - This show has become just another political podcast. It used to be so good. There is so much politically driven divisiveness going on in this country and this used to be a bit of levity. I used to listen to this to hear interesting, heartwarming stories about all sorts of people in this beautiful, diverse and fascinating country but I have to go to the archives to hear these stories now. It's lost it's magic.

2. Ghost Industrial Complex - Yet ANOTHER egregious reality of white supremacy playing out in this case in Savannah GA. it is always heart stopping and devastating to hear these episodes and how Black folks have to expose these stories of the perpetuating myth it’s ok to murder rape and abuse black people. it’s difficult to listen to and heart wrenching and a call to action again and again - thee as no you yo thr reporter and his team for letting us know about this devastating situation

3. Le sigh - I adore this show in the way that I adore when you can undress and change clothes in front of a human, whilst still continuing a conversation without any confusion of puritanical woes, given or received by either party, just a certainty that you are so very comfortable and safe while you both add to each others life through conversation and then that’s it that’s all…just existing and sharing stories and information. I hope this explains how very beautiful you all are as stories tellers, you are the tribal form of the elders in our modern world.

4. Is Mom the new bad word? - Why Ira did the recent episode come with a warning before the show that it referenced Mothers and women? Are we suddenly bad? Shame on you for following that nonsense. And what’s wrong with saying pregnant women instead of pregnant people. So sad a once beloved podcast has become unlistenable. We get it trans people exist. But so do women.

5. An American treasure - It was maybe years ago that I heard my first episode, while on a long road trip and searching the car radio for something to listen to. Been eagerly listening ever since and working my through the archives for what I missed.
In retrospect, TAL could be considered the OG template for modern podcasting. Thank you to Ira, all the producers and staff responsible for this weekly gift.

6. Disappointing Anti-Life Propaganda - TAL has gone down hill so much over the last few years. Doctors are fully aware that an ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion, and state law similarly recognize it. If a doctor doesn’t know the difference, I do not want them medically treating me. Abortion does not save lives, it always ends innocent human lives.

7. Otis is Resurrected - The inclusion of a story about the brother who repeats the violent conduct of an impaired boy who regularly tortures his pet armadillo by drowning it to unconsciousness was repellent. Was it supposed to be art? It reminded me that it is the rare case that women undertake or write about violence done to helpess creatures oh, just for the heck of it. Ira Glass afterward underscored that the story was a work of fiction and no animals were harmed. But who dreams up stuff like that and decides it'd make for good reading? Or publishes it as entertainment and gives you a heads up sort of post hoc? It was disgusting and there should've been a heads up that animal cruelty was involved in the segment. Nice job, TAL. I won't be reading any Brady Udall anytime soon.

8. Tell the kids to quiet down - This is what I wind up doing. Ira has a voice that keeps you listening. The stories are laced together so they are cohesive, intelligent and ultimately captivating. Even as I write this review the kids are in my face asking what I’m doing and why. See, I listened to all the episodes so now there’s no escape.

Admissible examines how a key building block of our justice system – evidence itself – is often flawed, disputed, or even manipulated. Hosted by reporter Tessa Kramer, the first season of Admissible investigates the story of 13 men who were exonerated thanks to the discovery of shreds of evidence saved by a forensic scientist named Mary Jane Burton. Burton was hailed as a hero for saving the evidence, but the story behind “the Mary Jane files” is far more complicated and darker than it a...

1. Don’t keep browsing—LISTEN NOW! - This podcast is well made and well researched. I binged every episode in a day because not only was I highly entertained, I was also learning things about forensics that I had never considered before. This story is wild and I’m haunted by the very real possibility that there are many more wrongly incarcerated people because of faulty and/fudged forensic science lab results. Don’t keep browsing, hit play on episode one and let it rip—you’ll be glad you did…and then you’ll lie awake all night considering the possibilities.

2. Lets the witnesses speak for themselves - I really appreciate that the people with firsthand experience of the events have ample air time and don’t feel sound-byted into a forced narrative. The mystery unfolds more organically while maintaining a coherent and compelling arc. Great job, and looking forward to Episode !

This podcast is like the News is for current events but for the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. I report, review and analyze each episode with my good friend Todd in a 45-minute breakdown. It helps us get the most out of Joe's world-class show. This is for any Rogan fan..

1. Titles - I want to be excited to listen to these episodes but I have no idea who the people are mentioned on the title. Many podcasts rely on interviews with “special” people to carry the show- that’s fine but maybe the titles of the episodes should mention the topics covered instead of who is being interviewed

2. I TRIED so hard to like this show - I’d heard such great things…he’s so funny, makes such good points, so respectable etc. so I forced myself to listen to this show every morning on my commute to work for over a year. It’s miserable. Raising your voice and tone when you say something doesn’t make it funny or a good point. You make money off of fear-forward, uneducated, people in a bubble. They’re incredible people who know and love their neighbor, so you’re sick for taking advantage of them.
2023-03-11
3. The poor widdle snowflakes whine - I certainly love to hear the many guests Rogan has on his show, even when I don’t agree with them. But what I love more is seeing the far left cultists cry “RRREEEEE!!!! Shut down Joe Rogan cause it hurts my fragile feelz!!!!”….and yet Joe (and J.K. Rowling!) still come out on top!
2023-02-25
4. Meh - I used to listen but hearing about alex Jones thinking you and he are besties, well I just can’t. He’s a freaking lunatic. Almost every word out of his mouth is false. You are the company you keep. You can question things and try to learn us new things…but if you’re going to push INSANE conspiracy theories or untrue medical info that could help save our planet I’m no longer down. Peace Sell out.

5. Tried to listen to, but…….. - Boy, when you’re this red pilled and your entire universe revolves around politics and conspiracy theories, your life is pretty much over. Can you try having just one conversation without far right conspiracies, what a concept. But the funniest of all is when people have a terrible podcast and can only blame their lack of talent or intelligence on yet another conspiracy theory, that everyone’s out to get them. Rubbish attracts rubbish so listen at your own risk.

6. Love this guy - Conducts one of the best interviews you’ll ever watch. So intuitive, asks the tough questions, challenges views when he doesn’t agree, but always in a way that’s disarming and respectful with the ability to have his mind completely blown and sometimes changed so to his uncanny ability to just be real, man.

7. JRER confuses the paid shills, those with low I.Q. and libtards…. - Lol, you can tell those that gave star haven’t even listened to this podcast. I guess they just want the Hungarian’s bucks for writing negative reviews against those not falling in line with the DNC. This podcast is hosted by podcasters who discusses the latest Joe Rogan news, and are not connected to Joe Rogan in any way. Not a hard concept to grasp if you’re more mentally aware than say, Joa Xiden. You can bet the same names would pop up saying the same star crap if there were podcasts called “ The Elon Musk Experience REVIEW” or “The Ron DeSantis Experience REVIEW”hosted by different podcasters that discuss what those guys were up to. Key word here is “Review” Hters got to hate, but if you have at a functioning brain and an open mind, listen to the show, you might like it, or at least know what it’s about.

8. The truth hurts - I enjoy and watch all your videos inspire me at the same time in light in my thoughts. How people really are in life in the industry or whatever. At least we have someone who is willing to approach the situation and address the situation not like others they want to hide it and let them be known because why the truth hurts. That you have people sleepless that night. No one wanna know the truth.

1. Another great empire has fallen - The original heavy hitters from the old days with Robert and Jad were some of the all time best podcast episodes I’ve ever listened to. Though it’s taken a long time for me to recognize and accept, this show has really fallen off course. Not only has the content gotten worse, I often have a hard time seeing how it at all resembles the original premise of the show. Now just sensationalized sociopolitical commentary packed with adds and reruns. Unfortunately I’m unfollowing
2023-03-18
2. Unsubscribing after almost years - This show has lost its spark. The conversation about airplane seats was probably the dumbest conversation I’ve ever heard on a podcast. It was worse that those easy listening radio talk shows where the hosts just babel about on about nonsense. Please challenge your listeners intellectually or bring back Jad and Robert so they can do it for you? It’s nice to have a little more host diversity but it’s honestly unlistenable.
2023-03-16
3. It’s time to close up shop - New episodes are lackluster especially when compared to all the rewinds they do every second release. It’s time to stop ruining the glorious history of the podcast. Let the team spin out a new one, something that fits their ideas and aspirations better. Radio lab is history. Don’t damage its image further.
2023-03-14
4. Sorry, Radiolab - I started listening to RL in . For years, this was one of only two podcasts I listened to regularly. I’m saddened by its recent decline. First Robert left, then Jad; and since then, I’ve not found the new episodes fun or compelling. Where is the joy?? Before, this show felt like a journey of beautiful, playful curiosity through the amazing world around us yet at an adult level of intellect, with scientific research backing it all up. Now… both the intellect and the joy have dimmed, but the hype and sensationalism have been turned up. This show is getting… shallow? Is that the word? Goodbye Radiolab. I’m unfollowing.

5. I miss Jad - This used to be one of the most phenomenal podcasts I had in my library. It was smart, entertaining, riveting. I looked forward to every episode. As reporters, I adored lulu and Latif. I was excited when it was announced that they were taking over as hosts. However, it’s really disappointing to find out that their “hosting” only consists of putting up a paywall and then just reposting old episodes over and over and over again. It almost feels like it would have been better to just cancel the show instead of watching them ignore it and be a shell of what it used to be.
2023-03-10
6. Radiolab used to be my favorite podcast. - Did management change about two years ago? Something is different. It’s like I feel an invisible hand from above is ruining the show. It seems to be trying too hard to be entertaining. It features click bait titles and misleading descriptions. There is actually too much production, and not enough substance.
2023-03-03
7. What’s Going On here? - Soren, Becca Rachel, Matt, Ariane and many more I’ve failed to mention are all still there. Everyone knows, or should know, it’s the producers that do the heavy lifting on a show. The hosts don’t seem to have much input.
A shame because Latif produced some excellent stories. Lulu certainly has cred for her previous stuff, maybe it’s do to with motherhood but it would be nice if she addressed the audience like adults. All the replayed episodes stand in stark contrast to the weak half hour long new stuff. Who needs hosts? Just let Soren take over and I suspect the quality and quantity of new shows would return.
2023-02-28
8. Amazing show, but it’s all reruns now - This used to be my favorite show, with captivating stories, high quality editing, and reporters who ask the right questions. However, I am no longer excited to see a new episode pop up in my feed - it is almost always a rerun of an episode that aired years ago. As much as I love the episodes and as much as I respect the reporters and hosts, I don’t want to hear reruns anymore. I would love to hear new stories come from Radiolab, or at least an honest explanation of why they’ve chosen to release so many reruns for the past few months. If truly new episodes start popping up in my feed again, I would view this as a or star show.

1. Loud Ads. McCain was milquetoast. - The McCain season is really bland, absent of emotion. Here’s a guy that spent five and a half YEARS in a Korean prison camp — , DAYS — and the time literally flies by full of rational thinking, bravery, and principles. Come on. I don’t buy it. The disconnect is flabbergasting. Submarine Rescue Episode , what is that banging noise in the background? It’s maddening. Is it drumming? WWT? And the special effects of squeaky walking in the snow for Season , Himalayan Spy Mission is really awful, I can barely listen to those sections, my shoulders go right up into my ears. It’s like fingernails down a blackboard.

2. Eye opening - I enjoyed this podcast very much and it is an eye opening. So sad to hear about those who lost their lives. I can’t imagine the horror. I have watched most of the documentaries available, and it amazes me every time, the strength and willpower each of the climbers had to endure Mother Nature. The will to survive. Thank you for the podcast, and I look forward to more interesting stories in the near future.
2023-02-15
3. Eish - If there wasn’t so much filler, they could easily put these stories into a single episode and make them far more engaging and interesting. Imagine a friend calls you up to tell you a story. Then a quarter of the way through, they say I’ll call you next week to tell you some more of the story. And over the course of - weeks you get the entire thing. See how stupid that sounds? This seems to be the way of things across the board for Wondery shows, and it’s off putting. We are far past the “to be continued” days. Get with the times.

4. One of the Last Unexplored Rivers in the Amazon BY NON-INDIGENOUS PEOPLES - The whole premise of season stinks of white supremacy! First sentence if show description: In , former President Theodore Roosevelt embarked on a perilous expedition to map one of the last unexplored rivers in the Amazon. You clearly state that the river is unexplored. There are indigenous peoples who have lived there for thousands of years. Just because some white, rich, and powerful man decides it’s time to map this river, he and his team are suddenly the FIRST HUMANS to explore it for the first time. Yuck.

5. I used to like this podcast - I used to love this podcast. Now they want you to have to pay for everything. We are a family who has to be extremely strict about our finances. I used to really enjoy listening to these as I did laundry or dishes. We even liked to listen to them if we were driving long distance for some reason. So annoying.

6. I love this so much! - I normally only listen to true crime pods but I decided to try something new and give this one a shot. I’m so glad I did!! It’s amazing! The concept of this podcast is just super original and the hosts have great storytelling voices. Nothing worse than a podcast host with terrible inflection (cough.. Voices For Justice.. cough) lol. thanks you guys this is amazing! Plz put out more and get rid of the subscription service lol

7. Amazing podcast - I love this podcast! I have listened to all seasons. I’ve asked my husband to start listening to help distract him from the works of the gym. I find episode so captivating even my least favorite task become possible. This podcast actually changed me. I am now a little more grateful “to be alive”.

8. By subscription only - UPDATE: I love this podcast, but will no longer be listening now that they’ve changed it to subscription-only. It’s a shame they decided not to continue offering the pod for free. Original Review:
The true stories of resilience on this podcast are simply incredible, and the hosts recount them in an engaging, empathetic way that makes you feel like you’re right there in the action. If you have any interest in adventure or are an adventurer yourself, check out this pod, highly recommend!

1. So Much Better - I listened to this podcast at the beginning and it was rough, but it was her first time doing something like this. I recently came back to it and wow, Scheana has got it down. She grew considerably since the beginning and it drives me crazy that haters come and rate her podcast one star without even listening. I don’t understand why people dislike Scheana - she’s always had a good heart. And she’s beautiful. I guess people are just jealous.
2023-03-24
2. No just no - Scheana I feel like you contributed to Rachel’s behavior and pumped her up. Alll the signs were there girl you had to know something was off. Also you teased this podcast with lala and Kristen and gave us NOTHINGGGGGGG such a waste. I know you guys are limited on what to talk about but LALAs podcast on the whole Scandavol was way better. You should have just not talked about it and tricked us like we would get an episode about it.

3. How many best friends do you have? - To say I’m disappointed doesn’t even describe how I feel about your actions. You are the epitome of a friend I never want to have. Keep defending Schwartz- and deflecting from your husband never paying child support. You don’t think about anyones feelings but your own. You wanted to get married at someone’s engagement party. What is wrong with you??
2023-03-03
4. Take “unintentionally messy” and put it on some merch - I started listening to this podcast a couple years ago after hearing Scheana as a guest on a different podcast. Soon enough, I was binging Vanderpump Rules and following the cast members on ig. I love the different interview episodes and have found the podcast more interesting than VPR since it shows a different side of some of the cast members than what has been portrayed on the show. Definitely worth the listen.
2023-02-25
5. You aren’t very self aware - I’ve never really understood why the girls hated you thaaat much until this season. Even if Katie said she would welcome them hooking up- you don’t go pushing your friends recently divorced ex husband onto a girl in your circle. You were relentless with it. It seems very malicious. And if it was “bECauSe ToM is mY frIeNd” that’s still weird when he just went through a divorce and tells you he isn’t ready. . It’s WEIRD! It was mal intent on Kati, if you don’t think it was you need to look at yourself.
2023-02-24
6. No backbone - Please stop referring to Lala as one of your “best friends” it’s so sad. We all watched her make fun of you for years. Yes people change but Lala is clearly clinging to Scheana because she wants better odds for TV airtime. Notice how Lala doesn’t stick to Stassi anymore. Anyone who knows scheana, knows that she cycles through “best friends” faster than her cats can fill a litter box.

7. “balanced blonde” - Is there something wrong with that person???? Her voice is sooooooooo annoying it makes me never want to listen again in fear she might be on (and this is my favorite podcast!!!). Like why’s she talk like she’s living in fear with every word she says???? Omg. Terrible. Scheana what are you thinking having someone like that on? I’m sure the episode was great but BLECH I couldn’t hang. Other than that this pod is pure perfection and I love you!

8. BEST PODCAST EVERY WEEK - Scheana…. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy your podcast. You and Brock are truly amazing. You are a great podcaster and I love how open and honest you are on here. You opening up about postpartum ocd is huge and you are starting a much needed dialogue. I look up to you, you are such a light! Keep doing you girl!

1. On bad bosses episode - I’m lucky that the company I work for, introduced parallel path for experts. I have PHD and almost y of experience. I do not have direct reports but work closely with many teams. No interest in people management at all. I enjoy science and application. More companies should consider it. BTW, there are principles, Peter’s and Dilbert’s. I see the latter one gaining dominance.

2. Democrats and making America great again (???) - I have been listening to the show for years. This episode ticked me off. Trump wanted to increase production in US, and did some good things while constantly fighting with the opposition (D). This opposition is now making America Great Again. By spending trillions $ of our money to fight inflation. ??? I’m an independent voter (fiscally conservative, but strong liberal side on some other things). Some guests and topics are strongly biased towards Democrats. Why don’t you invite some Republicans to talk about their achievements and agenda? There are good and competent people with R in front of their names.

3. Nuclear Power Episode - I was just catching up on an older episode () on the pros and cons of nuclear power. Personally, I’m of the view that it’s the only real, near term answer to the world’s energy needs for, basically, all the reasons stated in your podcast. However, as a retired navy man myself, I was very surprised you never cited the navy’s plus years of using nuclear power on aircraft carriers and submarines with essentially zero mishaps. I believe that shows it certainly can be done safely, even in the most demanding environments. At any rate, I am a fan of Freakonomics and look forward to future episodes.

4. Nothing new except hawking their network - I used to listen pretty faithfully but stopped a year ago because they kept putting out updates on old shows(you had to relisten to the entire thing to get the updates) and hawking new podcasts on their network that they ‘were sure’ the listeners would like. I don’t mind when that is done once a year but it seems like they do it every other show. And the new shows are not that interesting. This podcast is simply now a waste of time.

5. Quality falling rapidly with new host - The once remarkable show is turning to profit and marketing. Their upbeat take on Girl Scouts cookies really showed their cards. From clean up reforms to sponsored speakers this was drivel corporate white washing. While others are producing clear analysis on the same subject.

6. This pod is usually great but what was the Samin Nosrat interview? - I hope you to took her immediately to a psychologist, but please don’t make the rest of us suffer through another person’s therapy session! The fact you felt compelled to make this a special episode really makes me question your decision making process?
2023-01-16
7. Entertaining but not useful - The episodes are catchy and moves quickly, almost like a sitcom tv show. Maybe it’s not my cup of tea. The stars are for the production value. If the producers are interested in making a show that educates and focuses on critical thinking I suggest the host follow the discussion threads deeper and highlight the crucial points of evidence rather than facts that trigger emotional responses from the listener. I know. Your goal is to get followers

8. This show gets better and better - I really enjoy this podcast. Stephen gives a funny and wise explanation of many interesting topics. I especially enjoyed the three-part series on Adam Smith. I hope that kind of multi-episode, in-depth coverage can be done on similar historical figures and topics in the future.

1. i’m just here cause matt and abby told me to leave a star review - honestly though, this show really does deserve stars. it’s so casual, pretty educational if i’m being honest, and matt and abby are hilarious. i’ve been following them for a few years now and it’s so cool to see the growth they’ve had in their own relationship and now as being parents too. shoutout to matt here, i’m only and not even close to getting married let alone having kids, but you’ve honestly been a huge role model as far as what a husband and now dad should be like for their wife/children. as a child of divorce, i can’t say i’ve really seen what that looks like unfortunately. i can say with one hundred percent certainty that when i’m married and a dad one day, i’ll be modeling quite a bit after you. love you guys

2. Want to be a wedding guest?! - This podcast is honestly unmatched. It’s super casual and funny, and each episode is intentional and has a purpose, rather than talking about random things. I look forward to every Wednesday! I would also love hear any marriage advice! I’m and get married in JULY, so it is very easy to relate to you both. I’d love to send y’all an invite if you have a mailing address. It’ll be a good one!! The insta is @lauryn.ogrady

4. The best! - I’m usually a “silent follower”, but I couldn’t pass up thanking you guys. I turn this on every Wednesday on my drive too and from work, but I saved the latest episode for today because I knew y’all’s conversations would help quell my nerves for the interviews I had, it worked! Listening to y’all feels like listening to best friends. You guys are so loving, positive, and genuine towards each other and others it inspires me to become a better partner and person. Thank y’all so much for sharing your lives with us. “Later dudes!”

5. Love it! - I have followed y’all for a while and I’m really enjoying the podcast! I have to say I loved your episodes with Sarah and Derik and the one with Devin and Hunter. I follow them as well and it was so fun to hear you interact with them and I seriously wanted to be right there with you. You all seem so genuine and fun to be around and I love also watching you with your sweet babies. @lauraedominick

6. So relatable - My hubby and I have been married for about years and while we didn’t get married as young as y’all it’s still refreshing listening to y’all talk about similar struggles and highs of marriage in a positive light. I truly believe that you have to marry your best friend to make it work and that’s how I feel about my hubby and I and that’s how y’all make it sound too. Kudos and congratulations on your baby !

7. Silent supporter that wants to change that! - I was listening to your episode today and realised when you were talking about being a silent supporter that I have been in that category for way too long BUT that I wanted to change that! I just wanted to shout you both out for being so candid and REAL with us! Thank you for making my long drives to work more bearable and for creating a balance with your realness between spreading joy and real emotions. I LOVE this podcast and can’t wait to see all the features and many more episodes. Thank you for turning me into a vocal supporter LOL! All the best, Elizabeth xo

ENCOURAGING - Matt and Abby’s podcast is so encouraging, being in a relationship and wanting to get married young. there is such a stigma and negativity around it and how it won’t end well but they give me such hope and joy thinking what is to come! thank you guys for all that you do, sharing the good and bad. keep doing you!

1. I just love her! - I loved her show on TV and now I love this podcast. She is funny, deep and you can feel all the love just listening to her with others. She is so special to me and my own healing. Edit- I do think thought that her advertisements need to be more monitored. She is all about self healing and growth , so to hear all the sudden an ad for gambling on the computer really threw me off and really not good for her target audience. Something to be mindful of. Otherwise I just love her and her podcast!!!

2. Love the R Spot - Hi Iyanla!!! I really do love listening to your podcast! It has helped me throughout my life and I also enjoyed watching your show fix my life! The R Spot podcast came for me right on time! I wanted to be done with life again, but I came across this podcast and was soooo very excited! I hope to call in one day and hopefully you'll be able to guide me on certain things. I enjoy hearing the other women and men stories. It lets me know I'm not the only one going through certain situations. I do thank you for coming back to help us with our struggles. Love you Iyanla and I can't wait to call in and speak to you one day on the phone!

4. On a journey - I just started this channel today at work. I struggle getting up to come here everyday without having a miserable day. Recently, I decided to make the choice to work on myself in many aspect and one is my mood/energy. I’m looking forward to listening to old and new episodes and choosing to work on my joy (while at work)!

5. Accountability at its finest - I truly love this podcast!!! I love that Ms. Iyanla hold everyone accountable and brings out things in people and not always focusing on the situation. I’m learning that a lot of things in life revolve and evolve around self and we never hold ourselves accountable but Ms. Iyanla will. She make me think about myself often and what am I doing or not doing and alot of times it’s ME!

6. First time I saw your face - I first met Ms. Vanzant many year ago I mean decades at the African American on Tour. I purchased her original book - Acts of Faith and she signed it - A delay is not a denial - I’ve carried this throughout my life. She is brilliant and the salt of the earth. I pray she starts doing more public speaking and women's conferences. I love you to the moon and back. Queen

7. Just love the R-Spot! - While none of the issues are mine, per se, I can totally relate to each and every one. Ms. Iyanla’ s loving yet firm advice makes us all look within to search ourselves towards growth and healing. She prods us all to do the work! Just love this show. Looking forward to the next session!

8. What a treat! - I came upon this podcast when I searched for something new this morning. Imagine my surprise! First, I was so excited to see that it’s a Shondaland production! Everything Shonda Rhimes does is excellent. But then I saw Iyanla’s name and I was over the moon. I’ve loved Iyanla for many many years. This podcast did not disappoint. It’s exactly what I both needed and wanted. I encourage everyone to give it a try. Thank you for the blessing

1. Love this! - The idea behind this podcast is quirky and the hosts are perfect in their roles. I LOVED this and quickly listened to several episodes one after another. The Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus episode was hilarious. There is a book that was popular in the early s called The Surrendered Wife and I would love to hear their take on that dumpster fire too.
2023-03-20
2. Good Concept, One Annoying Thing - As a non-fiction book lover, I love the concept of the show! However, if you don’t have something to add to the conversation, please refrain from saying filler words like “Right” or “Yeah”. The Outliers episode is impossible to listen to. I lost count of how many times each host was saying “Right” at one point. At the very least, edit them out. I like the show.
2023-03-17
3. Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus - I remember my dad getting this book after him and my mom split. Listening to this I am now realizing that all of my relationship advice I have ever gotten from the male perspective has been from exact quotes from this. Also let me add, when I had the “pre marriage counseling” with the pastor that married me to my abusive ex based a lot of these same exact theories and advice. So in short, this podcast is great and surprisingly healing in a way I didn’t expect. I have been sharing every episode I have listened to so far
2023-03-15
4. The Premise isn’t About Debate - I think most of the negative reviews are failing to understand that the premise of the podcast is to pick apart the poor research/methodology/foundational understandings behind these mega-hit books. It is possible to critique the How and Why of an idea/movement/moment without having to present an alternative to it that is ironclad. People are reviewing as though this is a debate podcast: two hosts versus an idea in the zeitgeist, and they both present their side. That’s not really it. It’s about how these books should never have taken hold like gospel truth to begin with, because they were typically based on partial to complete falsehoods…and often, the authors knew it. It’s kind of indicative of the current discourse climate that people feel like the hosts need to “prove their side,” when their “side” is typically that the books used faulty reasoning and poor logic. Irrationality is not basis for true argument, and does not, in fact, deserve a fair hearing. It is inherently unfair by virtue of its illogic - it creates its own rules. If someone says they’ve proven something via an experiment and gained some amazing knowledge, but I can easily show how their experiment was flawed, broke half the rules of scientific research, and couldn’t hold up to peer review…it’s not then on ME to prove some other answer. Its on the person claiming the knowledge to fix their methodology, perform it correctly, and get their results. These hosts don’t have to pretend that these books based on fabricated realities have as much weight as any other argument, because if your “side” makes stuff up…there’s nothing to defend. You’ve already lost.
2023-03-15
5. Lame… - Look, I basically can’t stand bestsellers and think most of them are a lot of meaningless fluff. But the way these guys try to take down these books is also just fluff, barely researched (and when it is researched, it’s as cherry-picked as the research of the authors) and just an unthinking blab-fest of all the twitter-appropriate progressively enlightened (to avoid using a loaded word) responses you would imagine. And they come across as so self-satisfied while offering their totally predictable takes. Trite, uninteresting, and often completely anachronistic critiques. I can’t bring myself to re-listen to gather examples, just wanted to say my piece on this since it’s gotten buzz.
2023-03-10
6. Went downhill fast - I enjoyed the first few episodes but agree with other commenters that these two need to stay in their lanes and stop reaching. There’s So much bias it’s hard to listen to at times. I really enjoy Hobbes other podcast Maintenance phase because it’s educational as well as entertaining. This one just feels like a lot of trash talking.
2023-03-10
7. Soooo entertaining soooo true - These two nail it. And I am not a fan of duo podcast teams but the energy, vibe, the no messing around-getting to it flow, hilarious but important critiques, and analyses of books’ themes is truly so fun to learn about, particularly their adverse effects/debunking/problematic messages. / highly recommend
2023-03-09
8. Thank you! - There’s a special place in my heart for the Outliers episode. The Airport Book of Airport Books. It’s been a hard task trying to explain the difference between correlation and causation whenever those baseless “facts” pop up in casual conversation. The wry humor keeps me laughing and though they lean into snark after a bit, I don’t particularly mind. These books have been peddled to the public, some for decades, as groundbreaking insightful texts. The hosts discuss the larger cultural contexts that made the books so attractive in the first place, so you need not take personal offense for not recognizing their flaws. To the strange transphobes — lol. You’re not a moderate and you’re also blindingly self-centered if you need to be “won over” when the topic is basic rights and liberties.

1. Lucky to find you! And blessed! - Not much of a TV watcher. Came across you, Hoda, by a Divine connection. I love to listen to certain podcast, mostly woowoo ones, at night when I go to bed. I am always plugged into a source to do this and have for years. Was listening to another incredible person and I didn’t set my timer and so it will play random podcasts. And Spirit chose you and I am again blessed. Thank you. So far have just listened to three but I will catch up. You are incredible. Your voice soothing and happy. Namaste.

2. One of the best in the business - I had no idea what a great interviewer she was. I rarely saw her before. I was am Oprah-raised die hard. And I think Hoda is better at this than Oprah! Yes. I said it! She asks profound & meaningful questions that impress even the most interviewed celebrities. Excellent podcast!
2023-03-17
3. So much more… - FYI…I’ve been a Hoda fan for for awhile. Her honesty and protected vulnerability is refreshingly intellectual. This episode with Rosie Perez was awesome. My first time listening to this podcast. While I know it takes work….AND A TEAM….looking forward to even more. Thanks Hoda….for being….Hoda

4. There’s something about Hoda - There is something special about Hoda; her voice, friendly approach and being relatable to her audience. I love how soothing this podcast is when I take my daily walk. She has intriguing questions and amazing guests that share practical lessons that as a listener I can relate with! I loved Naomi Judd’s and Jenna’s interview. I felt as I was in that room with Hoda listening in to these amazing ladies share with us about their lives. Hoda is remarkable, down to earth and inspiring! Highly recommend her podcast

5. Inspirational - This is my first time listening to Hoda’s podcast and wow! I decided to try it after hearing about it on her Instagram post. It was the first thing I listened to before getting out of bed in the morning. I highly recommend it. No matter who you are or what stage you are in your life there is something that will help you when you listen to this! I am looking forward to the next one.

6. This is all of that . . . - I’m new to podcasts, just never paid attention to it before. But I knew if I was going to do this I wanted positivity, to be taken to a good place by good people and be left in a better place than before, not a continuation of blaring loud news of everything negative going on in the world. With Hoda and the people she speaks with THIS IS ALL OF THAT . . .!
2023-02-22
7. Inspiring, uplifting and real - I have always loved Hoda but this podcast increases its tenfold. She is brilliant in the way she leads the conversations and offers this safe space for people to reveal their core, share their stories and ultimately help the listeners to grow and evolve. I have been shouting her praises to anyone that will listen. Thank you Hoda. You are a true gift.

8. The Good and the Bad - On the plus side, this is not "Today with Hoda and Jenna" which means there's no constant shouting, interrupting, contradicting, belittling, etc. On the minus side, Hoda and I share an annoying habit; we both unnecessarily put people on pedestals. I don't know why we do this, but % of the time, those people are not at all worthy of it. This is most pronounced when Hoda interviews people like Maria Shriver and Karen Swensen, but she does it to a degree with most (if not all) of her guests. I stopped doing this and I wish she would, too. I would also like her to stop interjecting "yeah" and "uh huh" throughout every interview. With a few small changes, this podcast could earn far more than two stars in my book.

1. Great Show, Listened to the Early Stuff, Lest, Now Back - Initially listened to the show when it came out and enjoyed it during the early episodes. I thought the guests were great but something about it was lacking. To be honest, Shawn was disconnected. I slowly left the show. A few months to a year went by. My work buddy who has a similar background and common interest recommended the show. I told him I used to listened but fell off after awhile. Then I picked it back up about a month ago after a friend recommended it again to me (mid ish episode). And wow! So so different. I’ve heard that Shawn has had some life altering experiences in that time I guess. But man, this show is completely different. Still great guests. But Shawn seems so much more calm and in touch during the episodes. For me, it went from a guy interviewing a cool person but being removed during the episode, to a great host who extracts the questions the listeners are wondering. Don’t know what you did sir (I think it was psychedelic but don’t want to speak out of turn.) but what a show. The show is fluid, fun, hard questioning, moving at a great clip, and just an overall gem. I recommend it to everyone now, didn’t recommend before unless they had a connection to the guest. Anyways, be proud sir, you are making a high quality product as a high quality interviewer. Harder said than done

2. A Must Listen - Everyone should listen to this podcast and schools should require it. No matter what your political views are, Shawn gives us the opportunity to understand and appreciate the sacrifice of so many who have dedicated their lives for not only our freedom in the US but to those who have truly experienced the real evil and unjust around the world. Genuine heroes and patriots tell their stories and I feel honored to be raised in the same country that instills these kind of values. Support our tTroops and Veterans people.

3. Deep Dives into Redemption - I’ve burned my way through every episode in a fairly short period of time. The guests are remarkable, Ryan is a great host. Listening has been both heart-racing, heartbreaking and, ultimately, redemptive. As a former straight leg and after a career in service as an LEO, my eyes have been opened to the weights I carry, and the paths to healing that many who serve take..
Thanks for an amazing podcast. Looking forward to many many more.

4. One of the Best podcasts - I ran across this podcast and was blown away. Shawn has the rare ability to interview without making himself the focus. If you are looking for a courageous vulnerable real podcast that really gives you topics to think about.
The one I listened to today completely opened my eyes.

5. One of the best - I am new to the podcast, but it is quickly becoming my favorite show. As a historian, I really value the fact that Shawn finds guests who are primary sources to tell the stories that aren’t being told anywhere else. The questions that he asks the guests are deep, and thought provoking, and they are unbiased. It is a breath of fresh air, and extremely informative.

6. Best Podcast - Shawn is interviewing the most elite of our fighting forces. He’s able to give a life synopsis for each individual interviewee. The stories are intriguing to say the least. He has branched out a tad in that he’s interviewing a couple of non-fighting forces e.g. Dr. Greer . I love Shawn’s cool, calm, and collected interview process. Keep up the OUTSTANDING work. A fan, Sarge

7. Truth - With so much mis information and propaganda in the world today, it appears that the Truth is likely to offend. These guest, these Operators, bring it to the surface. Never crossing the line of secrecy, but this is where you will find first hand accounts of individuals you may never hear or speak elsewhere. It’s a Brotherhood. It’s a way of life. It’s Real, it’s Truth!

8. All my respect to this guy and his guest - I’ve coped with ptsd and all that comes with it years. Impossible for me to express my gratitude to These guys who openly tell their stories. Beyond words. Y’all know what I’m saying. Just not feeling so alone and having someone say exactly what you’re going thru. You help as many brothers today as you ever did in the field. Peace to you. Thank you

My name is Nick Viall and I host The Viall Files, a podcast that one anonymous reviewer called “surprisingly insightful and substantive.” The Viall Files explores all things dating and love - from post-breakup healing to salacious texts - in our three (and sometimes four) weekly episodes. Ask Nick - Every Monday, listeners navigating a challenging yet relatable interpersonal circumstance--from a 2 year situationship to a blowout fight with their mom to a friendship feud to reigniting int...

1. FAKE FEMINIST - Nick, you gave Gabi a hard time saying that it was a double standard that she ‘lured Zack into having sex,’ and then went on to say “imagine if it was the Bachelorette and a guy said we’ll see about that. Imagine how that lands.” IT SHOULD BE A DOUBLE STANDARD YOU IDIOT – men are stronger, larger, and more aggressive than women, with in women being sxually assaulted in their lifetime. If a man says “we’ll see about that” it’s much more dangerous/predatory than if a women says it. It’s ok that certain double standards exist because there’s different dynamic at play here. With all your comments about women and the way you dismiss your female cohosts/producers it’s clear that you are a misogynist. You pretend to be a feminist and we can all see right through it.

2. Recap with Nikki - So funny, I laughed out loud numerous times! Howie mandell- I lol a couple times - so funny!!!!! I look forward to Ask Nick every Monday. His life experiences makes him the perfect person for the callers! I appreciate his bold bachelor recaps - different perspective. I love this podcast!
2023-03-22
3. Berating guests - When someone doesn’t agree with Nick he goes into long tangents trying to prove how he’s right. I’m all about disagreeing but his tone seems really aggressive and rude and that no one else can possibly be right. He makes them seem like an idiot for even thinking something different than him. You don’t have to be so belittling to your guests and cohosts.
2023-03-21
4. What in the actual….. - Update /: When Nick was giving advice to the caller who wanted to ask out her coworker’s client from the salon….. Nick prompted a text. Aly and Amanda disagreed, and he just shut them down awkwardly that his advice “was the best and only way to text” this guy. He used to modify his advice based on their input. Now he basically was like “no they’re wrong don’t listen to them.” WHY have them on the show if they aren’t allowed to contribute? GAH I used to love this podcast so much and that’s why I keep updating my reviews in hopes Nick gets back on track for what it sounds like ALL of his listeners used to enjoy! I’m like super confused why I’m listening to a recap episode for the Bachelor and I’m almost halfway thru and it’s only been about Vanderpump? There were TWO Bachelor episodes this week, and between Hometowns and the WTA, there should have been more than enough discussion about ONE show to fill an episode. Respect the fans that don’t watch both and are coming to you for a BACHELOR recap, especially this close to the end of the season. Also respect the fans enough to read the reviews here because you are blatantly ignoring them at this point.

5. Another Subscription? - I enjoy listening to this podcast, and the bantering can be entertaining. I’m not a fan of how we now have to pay to hear some of the episodes. I hardly want to pay for the streaming services that I have, and they several shows and movies and you want your fans to pay half of that to listen to one show thats talk about advice and recaps? Obviously your passion isn’t is in it anymore, just greed.

6. “As someone who’s been in that world” - Hey guys, did you know Nick was on the show? I had no idea! Thank god he’s here to remind us times an episode. If I hear “as someone who’s been in that world” one more time as a defense for his misogynistic arguments, I’m unsubscribing. What a smug, arrogant know-it-all. Nick has had multiple guests give their opinion on the Kat situation and each time he digs in and has to have the last word. It’s OK to have differing opinions. It’s not OK to invalidate someone else’s.
2023-03-19
7. Ask Nick is the best - I tune into Ask Nick every week, easily one of my favorite podcasts to listen to. I really like Nick’s point of view when it comes to relationships and dating. He’s real and helps people not to over complicate situations, while also reminding them of their worth and validating how they feel. I love it!
2023-03-18
8. Hypocritical Narcissist: The Podcast - First off, all Nick ever does on this podcast is lie and grandstand— point blank. He literally has a Patreon where he rewatched every episode of his season and interviewed all the women on it just to make a quick buck. Literally no other lead has rehashed their season as much as Nick. Then he has the audacity to criticize other leads for continuing to talk about their season a few months after it ends. The definition of hypocrisy. Second off, having a string of failed relationships doesn’t make you a relationship expert. More the opposite. The fact that people actually take relationship advice from this middle-aged man and his child bride is sad. And finally, I take solace in the fact that Nick has no relevancy outside of the bachelor and that that fact torments his every waking moment. His podcasting career ends the moment the show does and he knows it.

1. Landon and Tornado - Have to say your last podcast I was bored and about to stop listening, it was repetitive. But loved this episode! Nothing against Jordan, love ya man! But I laughed and enjoyed learning about your sweet family. Would love y’all do to do an episode on Jordan’s fam. Totally like the child leash. It was great for my daughter that needed independence like your Stella. Love y’all

2. Breath of Fresh Air and truth! - Dani and Jordan should be applauded! I just listened to your first episode, and I have to say I was a little skeptical, however very pleasantly surprised. What a great breath of fresh air, integrity, and truth that you were able to present in your first episode.
For a couple that has only been married for a short time with two young children you show who the real Dani and Jordan are instead of what social media wants people to make people believe! I think the De influencer is truly need it, especially for young couples like you that could be struggling trying to keep up with the Jones in social media. I can’t wait to listen to the next episode, and many more to come. Thanks for being so real.

3. Enjoyable, fun, entertaining - I really enjoyed listening, and I have to say I’m surprised. I feel like I have attention issues, and it’s hard for me to stay with one thing for more than a few minutes, but I enjoyed listening to y’all all the way through! It felt like a fun conversation with friends. It was nice to hear more from both of you instead of just the little snippets we get on IG. I appreciate the honesty and “realness”. I can’t wait for the next episode. Didn’t care for episode , I’d give it stars but there doesn’t seem to be a way to do that. It just felt like siblings roasting each other and arguing, which is kind of how it always looks when Dani and Landon get together. Just not a good vibe, and little interest.

4. Complement Sandwich - To preface, I've only listened to the first episode. I thought it was great content! Love hearing more in depth about influencers and this is a great platform to do to on. One thing that bothered me was the sound was SO quiet! I usually listen in my car at about a volume - for a podcast, this one I had to listen at to hear clearly. And you can imagine when my next podcast started playing how loud it was!! Other than that, keep it up, I will keep listening!
2023-03-20
5. Love it! - I listen to mostly nature and photography podcasts, but was in between episodes so I decided to give your podcast a listen. I’ve gotta say, I’m really enjoying it! My husband didn’t even mind listening to it with me while we were in the car. He said he enjoys the business aspect of it. I just enjoy it all. On a side note (since it was mentioned in topic on your second episode), I’ve really enjoyed hearing more of Jordan. Although he does have some presence on your Instagram account, I feel like we get to hear more of him on the podcast and he has a lot of good things to say and interesting perspectives. Anyways, I love you and I love your podcast. I’ll be adding it to my podcast rotation.
2023-03-20
6. At first was not into it but gave a second chance - After the second episode, there was more substance. Jordan’s input is great. Glad you were honest about your views on TikTok. But - you were NOT “cancelled.” Misusing a lot of buzzwords. But I guess I’m here for the next few eps! There was nothing of substance. Ok you like to do instagram stories. There was no insight into anything or how you run your influencing lifestyle/business. smart people who are just coming off dumb.
2023-03-19
7. Great Addition for Dani Austin fans - I have been following Dani for years. It’s safe to say, she’s my favorite influencer! I love how genuine Dani & Jordan are and it’s so fun to hear this side of them. Podcasts just feel like we are sitting down, chatting and getting to know each other better. They just have a more inviting feeling to them. The content is great and it’s just what Dani Fan’s need in their life!
2023-03-18
8. An enjoyable listen - I follow Dani on Instagram and enjoy her content. I may not relate to everything she shares but because I am not her, I do t expect her to be a mirror of me. I honestly wasn’t sure how I would like the podcast but find myself really enjoying it. I like the laid back nature of the show. I also like how the entire episode is not Dani and Jordan only talking. I like the Q&A and even the news report at the end. I feel the podcast helps me get to know Dani and Jordan better. I appreciate their honesty without feeling like they are pushing their views onto others. Way to go guys! Keep up the good work.
