1. Inspiring podcast - I initially did not like this podcast. That’s because I was assuming it would explain very technical sewing processes. Why I thought a verbal tutorial without demonstrations and photos would be useful, is beyond me. (Don’t worry, I found the Seamwork YouTube channel!)
I kept listening to the podcast because I quickly learned it is about so much more than sewing. It has prompted me to think about the craft in a bigger picture and how it fits in my life. This podcast has broadened my view in so many ways and I find myself eagerly awaiting new episodes. Thank you for an excellent podcast!

2. See appreciative! - Thank you for all the work you do to always present a podcast that is organized, educational & interesting. You put a lot of work into your podcast and it shows! It helps that you both seem so kind, fun & approachable. I’m a quilter and you talk of many things that I can relate to my quilting. But even when you are specifically speaking of garment making I still find what you say interesting. I enjoy listening to your podcast. A sincere thank you from me! And I really enjoy the ice breakers too!

3. Great podcast! Organized, thoughtful and lots to learn - I discovered this podcast in the last two months when I decided to start sewing clothes. I’ve been binging since then. The podcast made me think about how to plan what I’m going to sew so I will actually wear the items I make. They talk about how to sew items that integrate into your wardrobe, when to buy and when to sew etc. They talk about the basics of sewing; tools you need, thread to use, where to buy fabric, and which patterns to choose for your ability. Every podcast has a fun intro question, that also teaches me new things. I also paid to join Seamwork and have been very satisfied with this. It’s really fun to learn a new skill and Seamwork makes it easy.

4. I’m a real nerd - When I first joined Seamwork and found out they had a podcast I thought what kind of total sewing NERD would listen to a sewing podcast? Well three weeks later and I’m making steady progress on the backlog of delightful episodes. I caught the sewing bug and I love having this to listen to when I can’t be at my machine!

5. Listen, learn, and laugh! - Listening to Seamwork Radio is like hanging out with the sewing friends that I wish I had in real life. I always leave with something to think about, it inspires me to continue sewing, and best of all Sarai and Haley make me laugh and I feel happy after each episode! I’m hoping that either in the spring or fall I’ll be a bit less busy and be able to join Seamwork for a round of “design your wardrobe” and create some intentional items for both myself and my little girl. Thank you!

6. Every Episode is a Treat! - I am always looking forward to the next episode from Seamwork Radio!
This incredible podcast continues to enrich my life by teaching, inspiring, and grounding me with a wealth of invaluable information, insights, resources, real-talk, and thought-provoking discussion. Each quality-driven episode is so intentional, pertinent, put-together, and well-curated.
It’s also a great (free) way to gain a sense of what Seamwork is all about, especially if you’ve been thinking about joining the community!
So, what are you waiting for?…Follow along and fall in love with this podcast! :-)

7. Finally an interesting sewing conversation - Sewing can be a lonely crafting hobby. Knitters can take their needles and yarn just about anywhere and talk without noise with others. Scrapbookers grab their plastic boxes and pull late nighters with their scrapping buddies. But sewing? Too many tools and machines. And no sewist wants to chat about sewing if there’s even just one non-sewist in the group…because…”Can you make that for me? Can you hem my pants?” Seamwork Radio fills in the social conversation of sewing for me. I use the site for the more technical aspects, but the podcast dives into so many topics not usually discussed when you’re just trying to figure out a new skill. The only thing is I wish I could be part of the conversation and add my two cents. I kinda do when I’m in the car, but I don’t think they can hear me.

8. Love the show - Always an uplifting, well-organized, to the point podcast with helpful information that is both technical and strategic in nature. Haley and Sarai’s episodes are like having sewing mentors over for lunch. I especially loved the episode on fabric - a lot of great ‘insider’ information. Chefs kiss !

9. Like Therapy, But with a Sewing Machine! - I discovered the podcast once I became a Seamwork member recently. The conversations are thoughtful conversations looking at each sewista’s journey through a lens of a growth mindset, self care and accomplishment. I find that the underlying goal is to encourage new and experienced sewers alike to embrace the challenges as equal to the success because the experience of learning to sew must include both and it’s really taken some of that pressure to accomplish a new skill to perfection for me already. Plus, the more I listen or read people with advanced skills talk about sewing, I learn something that I had no idea I would find invaluable.

10. Sewing with friends! - I’ve been popping on this delightful podcast while sewing lately and it feels like I’m sewing with friends. Although I’ve been sewing since I was (I’m now !), I’ve learned so many good tips and tricks from these talented ladies. They are always coming in clutch with encouragement and motivation to keep on making cool stuff. Also, Seamwork (the site) is legit!
2022-03-29
11. Sew fun and inspiring! - I’ve always had a thing for sewing as my creative outlet but after a hiatus, my passion has been reignited. I find myself relating to most of the guests that the shows has and it’s been really enlightening to say the least. I’d highly recommend this to anyone, especially if they’re in a creative slump.
2022-03-25
12. Getting me up and moving closer to my sewing machine - I love your podcast. You’re helping me be motivated for Design Your Wardrobe. I’m hearing more creatively and enablingly (if that’s even a word) how to design a mood board in terms I seem to be able better to grasp.
Your conversation are so positive and really inspiring. I’d enjoy listening even if I weren’t trying to learn to love to Sew!!
Thanks to your whole crew!

13. Thank you - I love listening to the Seamwork podcast while I’m sewing! I’ve been really into the series about Sewing by Design and how you really break down the skills, steps and most of all, the mindset, that goes into successful sewing. Personally, I classify myself as more of an advanced sewist, but I teach beginning sewing lessons and will certainly use some of your ideas and concepts with my students as there is so much to overcome, learn and keep in mind when you are a beginner. So thank you and I’ll be listening and thinking of your intelligent, fun and warm guidance as I am teaching this wonderful and valuable skill that we love and share! -Stephanie

14. Such great and thoughtful tips! - Thank you, Saraí and Haley, for your thoughtful sewing stance on this podcast. Always something different each time. I am became an unlimited member about a year ago. Though you both are decades younger than me, I find the values, questions and open quality of the podcast to be perfect for me. I have enjoyed your interviews - went back to enjoy the Folkwear Patterns episode because one of my dear friends, Barbara Garvey, is a founder. I had never heard the founders’ story. Also the TIPS are so encouraging. Keep up the good work Nirmala

15. Inspired and enlightened - Seamwork Radio is a magical melange of content that I appreciate and value. I’ve picked up actionable tips and ideas for my own sewing projects but what I really love is the thoughtful discussion of the process and practice of sewing. It’s always a pleasure to see a new episode in my queue. I maintain a Seamwork membership for lots of reasons but ironically it’s the free content (like this podcast) that matters most to me.

16. Positive and inspiring - This is truly my favorite Podcast. I discovered it a few months ago and have listened to every episode. At the risk of sounding a little nerdy, knowing that a new episode is being released, makes hump day that much better! I would listen to this Podcast even if I wasn’t a sewist, because the episodes are just so positive and inspiring!! Thank you for the time you spend creating such quality content, it is very much appreciated : )

17. Amazing - gets to the soul of sewing - I love this podcast! It manages to talk about the practicalities of sewing, while also somehow getting to the real root of why sewing is such an enchanting hobby. Almost talking about it like a spiritual practice? Very well done!
It would be interesting if the hosts considered an episode where they talk about if it ever makes sense to stop a project…If they have already done that please ignore my suggestion!

1. My favorite podcast! - I started following y’all on Instagram and then found the podcast. I am now binge listening and laugh all the time. I love when you reference places in Tulsa and I am putting them on my list to visit when I come into town! I forgive you for being an Arkansas fan though. Geaux Tigers!
2023-02-23
2. A crew to quilt with - I love this show! I spend much of my quilting time at home alone, but now that I’ve found these two, that’s no longer the case. Leslie and Rochelle are good friends and pull a third chair at the table for us to join. I love the show; lots of fun stories along with tips and tricks they’ve learned along their quilt journeys. Subscribed and bingeing episodes to catch up with their recent releases.

3. Can’t stop laughing - I am a new listener and am now completely obsessed with this podcast! I spend at least hrs a day quilting and having these episodes makes me feel like I’m with a group of close friends who share the same passions as me. I am searching out retreats, and considering hoping a quilting guild all of which are wayyyyy outside my comfort zone. Thanks so much for bringing even more joy to my quilt day!

4. Big Fan in Gulf Shores,AL - I found this podcast when I needed something to listen to on the way to work. Who knew there was a quilting podcast! Not just funny quilters but Inappropriate quilters! I’ve enjoyed listened so much I went back to your first podcast in . To my delight you gave a shoutout to Gulf Shores, AL! My hometown where I live. (May , episode)
Leslie, Next time you are down… we can wear our bikinis and quilt on the beach! No one cares what you wear. Rochelle can bring her EPP and we can be scrappy! (Is that inappropriate? )
Happy quilting and Stay Inappropriate.

5. Grateful Wannabe Quilter - I LOVE your podcast for so many reasons!
I started listening to you on my hour drive to and from work to inspire me to get my new sewing room set up so I can sew. Several times you have kept me awake on that drive. So not only did you save that baby bird’s life but mine too. Thank you very much.
Also, the two of you remind me of my favorite Aunt who passed away several years ago. She didn’t quilt/sew but the way you talk, the way you interact with each other, and the kindness you share, even when “inappropriate” is just so much like her. I miss her and listening to the two of you warms my heart. It’s like a little piece of her is still with me.
I don’t have Instagram so don’t know how to follow you but know I’m listening and cheering you on. Karen in Oregon

6. In-appropriate quilters - Love love love listening to both of you! My husband will probably block me from listening to you because I keep buying the things you suggest! Lol! Just kidding, actually he’s very supportive of my addiction to quilting! Can’t wait to listen to more podcasts and buying more quilting supplies!
2022-12-05
7. The Next Generation Comment - As I listened to about teaching the next generation, I thought of my daughter-in-law and grand daughter. They show no interest in quilting because they are SO INVOLVED in sports, school, and surviving raising teens. Thinking back when I was my daughter-in-law’s age, it was all I could do to herd my kids and stay sane while taking them to all their practices, sporting events, school, homework, and my job. So I can understand why she has no interest in a hobby. My grand daughter and I did make a quilt when she was , but now she has no time (or interest) for quilting. Maybe one day I hope!
2022-11-06
8. Quilting Goals - I am so grateful that I stumbled upon this podcast! It is such a treat to listen to this show every week and to get to know Rochelle and Leslie. I feel like we would be great quilting friends and I cannot wait to meet them both in person! I love hearing all about Rochelle’s travels and Leslie’s new projects. The episode with Angela, Angela, Angela was inspiring and eye opening. I never considered that I am such a harsh critic of myself. Thank you both for giving your time to this wonderful podcast!
2022-11-03
9. Love to laugh with you two! - I have to say I find myself laughing out loud at you two! Love the banter! Also want you to know those of us who quilt and have vertigo feel like we’re on a ship all the time! The lines on the cutting mats and rulers are wicked at times! Keep it up ladies! Oh BTW can you make Rochelle a bit louder. When she’s being devious her voice drops and I have to replay to hear her. And we NEED to hear those parts!
2022-10-07
10. Hangin’ out - I really love hangin’ out with these gals (virtually speaking). Although I’ve not met them in person, it’s fun just listening to their banter. I can identify with their perspective, & having moved to a completely new area of the country in the midst of a pandemic, it helps fill the friendship void Thank you
2022-09-04
11. It’s like calling your girlfriends! - I love quilting podcasts, especially those with multiple hosts because it’s conversational and fun. Leslie and Rochelle take this to the next level! They’re always talking about fun and practical things, making me giggle and want to book a retreat with them. I’d never heard of a flamicken, but I for sure want to be one! Stay inappropriate, ladies!
2022-07-31
12. Best Quilting Podcast - OMGosh Ladies, these are the best. Love the segment on Dieting and the restaurant. Reminded me so much of my group of friends and I’m the one that could drop a few but I like eating out and order appropriately! I listened to the current one and the Chocolate Cake one this morning on my walk! Please keep these coming as I love them and am going to share with my quilting buddy.
2022-06-15
13. Great ideas and fun conversation for quilters! - This podcast is a fun listen and they share some great products and ideas. The only thing that would make this better is some show notes that include links and mentions. I usually listen while I’m diving so I can’t Google various products. Thanks ladies! Stay inappropriate!

VeryPink Knits, the companion podcast to the VeryPink Knits YouTube channel, focused on answering your knitting questions. With Staci Perry and Casey Bernard.
Release date: 2023-03-09
Comments
1. Off track - I think this podcast used to be better, when they didn’t banter so much. Staci is very knowledgeable and articulate when it comes to answering the questions and she does it thoroughly, but their outside chitchat is not enjoyable. Also, if they are not advertising Turtle Purl, what would you call it? “Sponsoring”. I hope they get back to business, then I will not ff over the first half.
2022-06-16
2. More Knitting Talk - I really enjoy the podcast for the most part. Both ladies are really knowledgeable about knitting. It’s unique in the format of answering knitting questions, which I love. My only complaint, and the reason for only three stars, is there’s a lot of non-knitting talk some episodes. With a podcast this short, spending - minutes talking about TV shows, weather, dogs or children means only one or two knitting questions get answered. Then it loses its appeal for me. I’ve learned so much from Staci’s channel and this podcast, just wish there was more knitting talk!
2021-10-26
3. Hmm - I like this podcast, though some aspects are a little frustrating. As of this review they call it “ad-free,” but always mention their sponsor yarn dyer, which is a little odd, no? They keep the episodes short because they like short podcasts, but much of the content is unrelated chatter—which, if you have a burning knitting question you are hoping they will answer, I imagine is pretty agonizing. Definitely not the place to submit questions you actually need answered!
2021-08-12
4. I want to like it more than I actually do…. - When they stay on topic , you can really learn a lot about this wonderful craft. Unfortunately, a good bit of time is spend on personal jibber jabber, reading gushing emails and hitting the listeners up to support their “ad free” podcast. Then there’s an ad for a particular yarn company. Then you hear about their peloton bikes and peloton friends. Rather hard to reconcile either with requests to become a “patron.” Stick to the well delivered and insightful knitting advice , please!
2021-06-29
5. Love this podcast - I recently stumbled into this podcast when Stacy mentioned in Instagram that they are resuming this. For some reason it starts only from episode or so here and I have gone back all the way to listen from there. Bonus benefit now that I can listen to these amazing ladies chat about knitting I have been going for longgg walks everyday!! They give me a reason to look forward to my walks and get some exercise done!
2021-03-03
6. So glad you’re back - I’ve watched every episode since you started and was a bit disappointed when you decided to take a break. Then I started looking for replacement podcasts and didn’t realize what a gem your podcast is. I now appreciate your down to business approach to answering questions AND at the same time your personal conversations with Casey leaves me wanting more. Perfect amount of sharing knowledge combined with the human side of life.
Soooo glad you’re back. Annie from San Diego.

7. Not enough content - I thought I would try this podcast due to so many great reviews. Over half the time was spent on worthless irrevalent crap. I couldn't cae less what concert they went to last weekend! If it was just a couple of minutes it would be fine. Less than half the podcast was spent on knitting information. My time will be spent listening to other podcasts.
2019-10-22
8. Love it! - Great, fun, short episodes. Staci is so knowledgeable and still very good at explaining things for all levels. Their friendship is charming and I do enjoy their off-topic chats and detours. Good mix of interviews and Q&A. One small gripe: when Casey reads the questions, she stumbles on her words every single time. She sounds like she’s never seen the question before and it makes her seem unprepared although I doubt she really is. A small issue but it’s distracting and easy to fix.
2019-04-18
9. Learning made fun! - Very Pink Knits is always chock full of helpful tips thanks to the Q & A format. Staci and Casey are very compatible co-hosts. They have different approaches to knitting with Staci being very monogamous while Casey enjoys having multiple projects going at a time. Quite frequently Casey shares interviews with people directly or indirectly affiliated with the fiber world. The content is always educational and enjoyable.
2019-04-07
10. More time for Q&A - I’m listening to a podcast as I write this review. It took minutes to get to questions. This Q&A portion is informative and useful but the Podcast spends more time on general chat. I like the interviews. If anything is cut to make this a better podcast I suggest cutting the discussions on food and Tetris. (The podcast I’m listening to didn’t have any interviews but with chat and ads I only got to hear one question.)
2019-02-11
11. My Guru - Staci’s videos were my primary instruction for learning to knit. The way she teaches helps you understand your knitting to more effectively use tips picked up here and there. With the podcast, I find Staci and Casey pleasant to listen to and learn about concepts, products and general knitting ideas from their podcast. They are humorous too. Once in a while they chatter too long, but it’s nice that they’re real people, not robots, so it’s all good. This is one of only a hand full of podcasts I subscribe to and listen to regularly.
2018-12-20
12. Informative and charming - I love this podcast-I learn something new every episode about technique and how knitting relates to the world at large, be it mathematics or global warming (and everything in between). The hosts banter is funny and thoughtful. I have never even bothered to review a podcast before, but I just had to bc of all the enjoyment this one has given me. Definitely worth a listen...careful though, you might end up binging on them like I did!
2018-12-05
13. Awesome and Inspiring - I love this podcast! It has ruined me for most other knit podcasts as I love the interaction between Staci and Casey and the answering of questions. I've learned so much just listening. My only regret is the length of the podcast. I discovered this podcast around release of episode , so I was able to catch up during walks with my dog, which tend to be about minutes to an hour, so I was listening to episodes per walk. BUT, keep up the great podcast girls!
2018-10-19
14. I look forward to this every week - I really like listening to Staci and Casey. It's like meeting up with my girlfriends once a week. My favorite thing is listening to the knitting questions, answers and digressions. It's a fun journey, and I've learned a ton. The problem is that with the ads and the banter and the field trips, Staci and Casey sometimes only answer two questions in some shows. If I had to make recommendations for improvements, I'd say cut down the recorded field trip interviews to - minutes. Some of them run for minutes or more, which is way too long. Trust me. I’m a producer. It can be done. And I don't know how much sponsors are paying to run -second ads before the podcast, but it's a turnoff. I fast-forward through them.
2018-10-02
15. Fun podcast - I found Staci’s videos almost years ago and learned to knit from them. It’s great to listen to this podcast because it does answer questions that you might have but don’t have anyone to ask. Staci and Casey are so fun to listen to. My husband even enjoys listening. I hope they keep on making videos and podcasts to help us younger knitters (I don’t mean my age either cause I’m older than her)
2018-05-11
16. Comprehensive and fun - I look forward to this podcast every week. It is without a doubt the best knitting podcast I’ve found to date. The interviews are always educational and exciting. Kasey and Stacey are so knowledgeable and have a wonderful chemistry. I feel like I have my knitting best friends hiding my speakers.
2018-04-11
17. Great knitting but social topics inappropriate - Love the podcast generally but the occasional weaving in of topics that really shouldn’t be discuss in mixed company (people who have different beliefs than topics being promoted) undermines Staci’s work and makes me want to tune out. This happens on occasion but enough to have caused me to post. Otherwise, as I said it’s a nice podcast to get information on many common knitting questions and Staci does a nice job explaining. There’s a time and place for discussing gender fluidity for example but a knitting podcast is an inappropriate place in my opinion. That’s not why I’m here.

1. New listener! - I’m a new subscriber to your podcast and I’m enjoying it. I decided to start at the very beginning () to get a good understanding of your show and how you all first began. It is awesome to see how two friends can make a great show with a common craft. I’m a knitter as well and I’m excited to listen to your podcast!

2. Enthusiasm and joy of knitting and crochet - This is my favorite knitting podcast. I am a fairly new podcast listener, only jumping on the bandwagon when I started knitting last year. Now, I listen to quite a few knitting podcasts along with other genres. What I love about Sharlene and Gayle is they have such enthusiasm for knitting. I alternate between listening to new episodes and going back to catch up on the years I missed and that enthusiasm has never waned, even through the rough patches in their lives. I love that they speak with kindness and they obviously like and support each other. They seem happy to be podcasting every week and that energy comes through. They are also knitters with a capital "K" and I learn something from each episode. Thank you, Yarniacs, for being bright voices in podcast-land!
2022-01-22
3. Absolutely fantastic podcast! - If you are a knitter this podcast is a must! I started listening to it during the pandemic, and since I have not missed one episode! Gigi and Jazmine are super knowledgeable on the topic at hand, and it is always so much fun to listen to both of them and to Genevieve as well. She is so mature, and it is so sweet to hear her talk about her knitting and all the other crafts she gets her hands on.
2021-10-27
4. Best Knitting Podcast - Really, this is the best knitting podcast I’ve found. It’s exactly at the level I want—knowledgeable talk about new patterns and knitting tips. Just like listening to expert knitters at a local yarn store knitting night! The presenters are friendly and fun to listen to and the knowledge presented is clear and useful.
2021-08-09
5. My favorite podcast! - I discovered this wonderful duo during the pandemic and have since decided to go back and listen to every single episode from the start! Gayle and Sharlene are so warm, funny, knowledgeable… though I do not know them personally, I feel like they are my friends! They have also introduced me to the exciting world of Ravelry and to too many new patterns and designers to list. I hope they never stop podcasting together!
2021-06-09
6. What a joy - A wonderfully chatty knitting podcast between two longtime friends. Gayle and Sharlene are so warm and funny. I’ve learned a lot from their podcast and it’s a regular source of inspiration. Their show notes are brief but comprehensive and it’s really nice to be able to look at the patterns they’re talking about while listening along.
2020-10-24
7. I loved this podcast but now.... - They always made me laugh and I do learn something every episode but it seems starting sometime last year they go way off topic, which is knitting. The little comments about family, work or friends is one thing, but I’m very aware of what is going on in the world right now. In the hour it takes me to drive to work, which is when I listen to them, the last thing I want to hear about is social issues, I hear enough about it on the news. I feel this all started with Ravelry and now these issues have seeped into my podcast. I find myself turning the podcast off immediately and never listening to the rest of it.
2020-07-31
8. Real life - I love listening to you two as you live your lives and knit on. We are all experiencing this world differently and I love hearing about yours... the good, the bad and the ugly! It is a fun way to learn how others live. Before listening to you I never would have considered a fingering weight sweater, because it would not be warm enough. But now I am noticing lots of time when a light layer would be perfect. Thank you for all the fun, the pattern stalking, and the coping mechanisms. Thanks for handling the hard topics gracefully.
2020-05-20
9. Love it great podcast - As someone that is new to knitting with only months of experience I love that they are so enthusiastic and the segments and content is great. So many episodes to choose from and they are all so uplifting to listen to. It can go into the detail of the patterns they knit more but other than that it’s spot on
2020-02-17
10. So good!!! - I could listen to this podcast for days! It’s like having a fun and friendly knitting group available any time you want company. The focus here is on yarn, patterns made and stalked, knitting goals, and loving your stash. Upbeat, relaxed, and slightly enabling—I couldn’t ask for more!
2020-01-02
11. Love this podcast! - The Yarniacs Podcast has become one of my favorite knitting podcasts. Gayle and Sharlene have such a great combination of friendly discussion, experience and wisdom to offer knitters. I enjoy hearing about ups and downs of their knitting. I don’t belong to a local knit group, but their podcast is like sitting in a virtual one. I also really appreciate that I can listen in front of my kids without having to worry about adult language or content.
2019-04-12
12. For the obsessed knitter - SO happy to have found this podcast! I like it so much I went back and started listening from the inaugural episode. The show notes are excellent. I usually listen to podcasts while commuting but I listen to Gayle and Sharlene (and yes, you too will think of them as your knitting buddies!) while knitting, so I can immediately go to the show notes and click on things that sound interesting. Warning: listening will make you want to knit EVEN MORE. Good job, Yarniacs!
2018-05-27
13. Great show but bird is a problem. - I really really love this show. And I love listening on my drive to work but the bird making noises in the background has always been irritating to me. I could put up with it when it was just the occasional bell or cage noise but I had to completely stop listening to this most recent episode because the screeching was so startling I was worried I’d swerve and get into a accident. Why have the bird? You guys are so entertaining and endearing, but I really wish I could enjoy it more.
2018-05-19
14. Don't Miss This One - I have been listening to this fun and informative podcast for a couple years. Gayle and Sharlene are a fabulous combination. Different in many ways, and so sympatico. They go well beyond the listing of "what I finished, what I am making, what I want to make and what I bought". They talk about WIPs and FOs with content that adds a dimension of learning. They talk about the yarn, the design and the pattern in a way that allows the listener to better understand whether the project might be a good fit. I always hear something that increases my own "toolbox" of knowledge. In their "what are you wearing" segment, they give really helpful info about the longer term wearabity of the garment and the yarn. This is so helpful in understanding how the yarn will behave over time. This helps me consider whether or not I might want to use it and, if so, in what type of a project. I love their "what are you stalking" segment. They talk about patterns they are interested in and, more important, why that pattern interests them. They mention yarn they have stashed that might be appropriate for the project. They overlap and diverge in their pattern interests, offering a breadth of possibilities. Their love for all things knitting is evident and contagious. I highly recommend folks give them a listen. Their Ravelry group is very active and fun too. Check it out. Shelley aka knitting-travels

15. Hooked! - The Yarniacs feel like friends I have know for years, even though I have only been listening for a few months. Gayle and Sharlene make me laugh, but also inspire me to just enjoy the process of knitting with no regrets. I am listening to older podcasts because I can't wait for the new ones to come out, and the wonderful thing is that the older podcasts are still relevant since I can find the patterns they talk about and learn from their experiences. I am hooked!

16. Really engaging! - I just started knitting and have kind of thrown myself down the rabbit hole, including downloading a million different knitting podcasts. So far, Sharlene and Gayle’s is the best. They’re so enthusiastic and interested in knitting that it really comes through. And they can describe their projects so well that I can almost picture them, which is vital for a audio-only podcast. The recording quality is good and they are very active, both in uploading podcasts and on their associated Revelry group. Good work, gals!

1. Amazing content!!!! - I’m so glad I came across this podcast just two weeks ago. I recently picked up my needles after a long hiatus and was looking for some inspiration. I got that and a whole lot more from this podcast!!! I binged all available episodes in two weeks and I’ve learned so much. I love how the women of this podcast are so real and funny and encouraging!!! I love Pardon My Stash!

2. So good!!! - I didn’t know that knitting podcasts were a thing. It didn’t even occur to me that I could listen to a podcast about my favorite thing while doing my favorite thing. Then, my husband, also a fiber artist, told me about Pardon My Stash. I was hooked from the start. Ladies, thank you for the laughs, encouragement, and companionship. You inspired me to move out of my comfort zone and try new skills, buy new yarns, and even do the thing I was most afraid of in my knitting journey-socks with dpns!

3. Absolute new favorite! - Ok, so I have several knitting podcasts I listen to an LOVE! This, upon listening to the first episode, joined that list of favorites! They are real, have infectious laughs, and make you want to pull up a chair and join in! Nothing too heavy so far, which I like. The world is bonkers enough without it also having to seep into our hobbies.
2022-05-23
4. My Favorite Knitting Podcast - I binge listened to all episodes of the show over the last couple weeks and LOVE it!! I’m
both happy and sad to be caught up. I learned to knit from my grandma as a kid, but didn’t do it for long. Then years ago, I picked it back up. I have learned so much from this podcast that I never knew of understood. I’ve gathered more patterns in my Ravelry favs, discovered my dream travel company, been inspired to learn new things, and so much more. I can’t wait for future episodes!!
2022-05-21
5. All the thumbs up!!! - I ran out of episodes of knitting podcasts I’m already subscribed to, so I did a search & found this one. I loved it immediately! These four friends are funny, engaging, encouraging and they provide some truly helpful content. I also went total fan-girl when I heard that Tina is @finarinaknitwear on Instagram because I’ve been following, laughing and commenting on her reels for a few weeks already!! Keep it up, y’all! I love it!!

1. Inspirational and real - Art for all is an exceptional name for this podcast by Danny Gregory. He shares what it means to him to be an artist and gives encouragement for those of us who yearn to be an artist too.I love how honest Danny was in this episode about all the times he started on his creative journey only to talk himself out of it. He explains how it just keeps bubbling back to the surface and he just could not not create things. If you need some encouragement you need to listen to art for all!
2021-03-15
2. How I got lost...how I got found” - How easily we all forget what it felt like to be a small child doing artistic things all day. Before school, life was play, all art—imagining, coloring, pretending. And then school(s) happens, and we all lose our way. We find people we’re drawn to, but we don’t know why. This podcast, this episode especially, validates what we know to be true: we are meant to be creative. We find more people and experiment with what they do. It snowballs, and before we know it we have some work to call our own. Thanks again, Danny, for sharing your stories.

3. Noteworthy...from the heart. - Note Worthy. Mental notes or physically written down, something here is going to have you crying out that this is a confirming word. As a growing artist, I have spent my share of time with textbooks and intellectual teachers. Ok I do need to learn technique. But, I can’t put into words why I even want to be a creative. Or how I know I’m called to it. Danny does the deep thinking for you or to be more exact, WITH you. “That’s me!” you’ll be saying. Because he gets it. In real time, he gets it. Humorous. Thoughtful. Real. Give a listen!

4. Fun to Art with a Friend - This has become my favorite podcast. It is just fun to create art while listening to Danny. He makes it seems like my art making is a legitimate activity, and it’s ok to make not great art. It’s ok to be in the learning phase. I’ve improved while listening to these podcasts, because I’m making more art, and being braver about just doing it. Exploring and playing is the focus, not a beautiful painting or sketch. (But I’m a little bit proud of a few of them, lol!)

5. Always something to think about - I think there are several factors that keep me coming back to listen to Art for All: . Incredible production value. The crumpling noises that broke up the chapters in the episode about paper really caught my ear and I’ve noticed that it only got better after that. . Thought-provoking consideration of topics relevant to everyone with a creative habit. I’ve been thinking about using labels and whether I can call myself an artist for weeks now, as well as wondering what it would take to make me a more generous artist (hence this review of someone else’s work ;) ). . Each episode is Full Danny: encouraging but a little demanding, i.e. do it for you but you deserve your best so do it with passion, inquisitiveness, and drive. I think this is the most important aspect for me. There are plenty of cheerleaders, and plenty of people who want to share technical skills, but this podcast will encourage you to go out and learn and practice something your own way.
2018-10-16
6. Not for me - There’s a new trend that’s big on YouTube called ASMR. I’m not sure if that’s what Danny is trying to do, but it sure sounds like it. To be fair, he is trying to be uplifting. I just wish he’d talk normally, stop trying to be dramatic, and last but not least, stop making smacking sounds with his mouth and swallowing hard while podcasting.
2018-08-26
7. Me a T - I have all these wonderful ideas to make; but first - I have to declutter my home. DONE I have to donate things. DONE I have to strip the carpet out of my studio. DONE
Now I get to redesign and paint my studio. I thought my new iPad Pro and pencil would get me on track. NO. But, I do have lots of pieces to put together to make art. Thank you for your honesty in your creative process. I’m not alone. Best good wishes Becky

8. Art for You — Yes, You! - I am a big fan of Danny Gregory and Sketchbook Skool. I was very happy when this podcast was announced, because I love listening to Danny while working. His gentle reassurance that creative endeavors are not the realm of the select gifted few, but something ANY of us can do, has kept me going through a lot of self doubt. When my inner critic becomes too loud, Danny and crew are there to give me the lift I need. Highly recommended to anybody wondering if now is the time to return to (x) creative pursuit. The answer is yes, yes it IS time. And Danny, Koosje, and the SBS community can help you really believe that.

9. Just makes me smile - I’ve taken several courses at Sketchbook Skool. Each one has been such an inspiration....full of tips and ideas. I listened to this podcast as I was working on filling a new pallet. I just smiled....I was encouraged and excited about starting back to my Urban Sketching. Thanks Danny!

1. Nikyle Begay Rainbow Fiber Co-op - Wonderful podcast, I have been out to Big Mountain many times. In , a documentary by the name of Broken Rainbow was filmed winning a Grammy. This is an excellent film about the history of Hopi Partition Lands and the Navajo people who would affected by Federal Government policies.

2. One of the best fiber related podcasts - Anne Merrow is highly skilled at interviewing her guests. I appreciate the unique lines of questioning and how she lets them talk without interjecting her own thoughts or experiences. I’ve learned about artists who’ve been around for decades running popular shops, teaching classes, writing books. Always a treat to listen and learn. Thank you for a great podcast.
2021-07-12
3. Great interviews and nice variety - Thanks to Anne Merrow and Long Thread Media for this wonderful podcast. I’m a weaver, but I also enjoy the podcasts about other fiber pursuits. Even though I’m not a spinner, I particularly enjoyed the recent interview with Susan Druding - what an interesting life! Living in Boulder, I also loved the interview with Judy Steinkoenig and Maggie Casey, owners of the former (and beloved) Shuttles, Spindles,
2021-06-07
4. Great interviews but more introductions please - I have enjoyed many of the interviews in these podcasts. I wish there was a little more of an introduction/background information about the interviewees. I am a long time knitter and new-ish spinner, but the world of weaving mostly unknown to me. Since Longthread specializes in several different fiber arts, I would love just a little bit more information about the people/some brief explanation of the terminology used for those of us who aren't necessarily deeply familiar with every fiber art.

5. Interesting Every Time - High Quality Production - If you love fiber art, this is a wonderful and informative podcast. The production is high-quality and the topics are always very interesting. And in this time of isolation, hearing the voices of these incredible people who do what they do… Well… It means so much. Thank you to Long Thread Media. I look very forward to listening to everything available!!
2021-04-26
6. Informative and entertaining - I found this podcast when I started subscribing to Piece Work magazine, and it’s become a favorite. A range of topics covers everything I’m curious in: how to run a yarn store, spinning tips, embroidery—if it’s fiber related, it’s here. I like the diversity of voices here, and how each conversation is unique. I’ve learned a lot about the cultural history of some fiber arts, as well as what draws people to learn how to spin/knit/weave/etc. It’s a well paced conversation as well, with good interviewers and excellent editing. I find it very relaxing to listen to while I knit.

1. Such a treasure! - Oh wow, that is what I have to say first. I just listened to several episodes in a row, because after starting one, I just couldn’t stop. What Maude is doing is just such a gift and a treasure to us all, and maybe even more to us quilters and makers. In all my years (and I have plenty!), I did know that sewing and quilting was and is therapeutic to me, but until listening to amazing stories Maude and her guests were telling, I not only realized the power of it more deeply, I also realized so much more clearly what it meant to me. This is specifically even more true after listening to the episode about Maude and her mom, as I have somewhat similar albeit likely less traumatic experiences from my childhood. Like I said - this podcast is such a gift and a treasure and I can’t wait to hear more stories that will touch me and make me think even more deeply about this craft that we all love and live. BRAVO Maude!

2. Thread is therapy! - An open, honest, vulnerable and inspiring podcast. Maude has opened a door to a safe space for quilters and sewers who have found thread as a form of therapy. I myself know this, and hearing the stories of quilters from the community share their stories is connecting. I’ve found myself not only connecting but also feeling inspired and motivated. Subscribed and listening!

1. Great podcast!! - This podcast is awsome in so many ways. The guest selection and subjects discussed are very engaging and cover lots of different quilting topics. Susasn shares lots of great information and has great questions specific to her guests. I really enjoy listening to this podcast on my way to work.

2. Juices Flowing! - I recently learned that I have cancer and although I am assured that the Lord is with me through the upcoming treatments I am still not sleeping well. I just happened to find Susan the other day-first her podcasts and then on YouTube. She has awakened my quilting juices once again. So much so that it’s : am & I want to get out of bed and load a quilt onto my long arm! Thank you beyond words Susan.
2022-02-13
3. I love this podcast! - I took an online class from Susan, and that led me to her podcast. She has such a comfortable and comforting style, and the information shared is so helpful. I love listening while I am piecing. I am so grateful to have discovered both Stitched by Susan Academy and Measure Twice, Cut Once! Thank you to Susan and Dave!
2021-12-16
4. Easy listen and informative! - I thoroughly enjoy listening to Susan, not only to learn more about quilters in our community, but also because she has such a lovely voice! She is so easy to listen to and highlights the journey of fellow quilters sprinkled with little tips along the way. Loved hearing more from Victoria of Midlife Quilter today!
2021-09-06
5. Just a biased review - As her husband, I get to work on this podcast every episode. Watching Susan try something new and daring like a weekly podcast has been as impressive as her quilting is. If you ever wandered what you are capable of, follow this lady. She has completely re-invented herself and has made a worldwide community while doing it. I am a lucky guy.
2021-09-06
6. I know this lady! - Susan has done so much work over the last few years quilting, teaching and sharing her passion for quilting with others. I am so glad to be along for the ride and this podcast is just her way of being able to give the world a glimpse into her life and the lives of those who share her passion for all things crafty.

1. Excellent, fun and informative - What a delight! This podcast has been such a gold mine, and I’ve been enjoying working through their many high quality episodes as I sew. It combines interesting guests with high quality sewing knowledge and an easy, conversational flow that makes it perfect for an evening listen. I love learning about Black history and present day contributions to the world of fiber arts.

2. Excellent pod cast - If you are someone who loves sewing and love a discussion about sewing - IMMEDIATELY listen and subscribe to this pod cast. There is a little bit of everything here from sewing history, sewing industry professionals to talks with easily relatable people of all walks of life. Love this podcast!

3. An interesting podcast about sewing - This podcast is designed for Black folks who sew, and it’s very interesting for anyone. The author has a way of building community with guests, in addition to thinking about sewing, it’s also about the value and beauty of the black sewing community now and in the past.

4. STEM.ORG Educator - This show is very important! It helps in so many ways. It helps to connect with concept of community and building resilience. In addition it is humorous. In the times that we live in we need a podcast like this. And it is so obvious that Lisa has done her research and she is very widely read. I love how she engages her guests and shares laughter and shares how to continue to do the things that you love. I have found my community and I have let all my fb groups know about this show and I am sure that they will connect with Lisa and all of her wonderful guests!

5. - The African Lookbook. Excellent, excellent exposé of that wax fabric from Europe and China. This is the very reason I stopped purchasing adinkra/waxed fabric years ago. , Jen Hewitt: Her story resonates with me (school experience, quilt guilds, knitting guild). Thanks for showcasing her, her books, products and services. I will look for her and keep her as a resource for services in the future. “We” black creators have always been here. The internet equalized everything. Traditional paths to be successful have been obliterated as we go direct to our clients/audience as opposed to going through previous “industry” gatekeepers and “dominant culture gatekeepers. Congrats to the -year celebration of the podcast. I appreciate it showcases information from textile makers and creators by black women. We have always been here and still here. My brief story is I seriously began my sewing journey at my mom’s knee and sewing machine at years old. I had been watching her and my aunties sew apparel for years and wanted to know this practice. I took one class in th and th grade and to this day, continue to learn. When I wanted to learn quilting, I was disappointed in the local quilt guilds since I wasn’t represented until I found “my tribe” with African American Quilters of Los Angeles, the first African American guild west of the Mississippi River. I loved the community and every city I’ve lived in since, I’ve looked for a group such as this and came up empty. Also, I’ve still to attend the National African American Convention and that’s on my bucket list since I will never attend the Houston quilt show again. Keep up the good work. H. Shelby

6. Informative in so many ways. - This podcast is thorough in exploring sewing topics and social issues. It’s a mix of sewing and activism. It’s a great place to learn about different sewing techniques & sewing styles and get different perspectives on our current social/political situations as well. It’s positive, energetic and a great listen.
2021-06-29
7. Great! - I heard your interview on Katie Couric and thought how wonderful you are. I love your passion to sew and can relate to your drive for the craft! During the pandemic I needed to see and started making masks with all the leftover fabric I had. Then went on to make quilts. I would love to sew for a cause. Social justice is important to me but don’t know how to combine it. Any suggestions?
Keep up the great podcast!
2021-05-03
8. Great podcast! - Learning new and useful things about sewing! I mostly quilt but lots of the topics are helpful. The episode about custom fabric design sent me straight to my sewing room to look at my fabric stash and she is right - any fabric with mermaids etc is very white. Something I, of course, never noticed before (I’m white). Thanks for broadening my horizons and for the helpful information about sewing techniques.
2021-04-25
9. Social justice and sewing! - This is my new favorite podcast! Lisa tells important stories and weaves together art, community, practical skills, and social justice. I learn about sewing and hear voices from across the country and the world. Loved, loved the recent episode about Wax Print, and inspired me to find an online screening to watch with my daughter. Thank you!!
2021-04-09
10. Identity Through Craft - I so enjoy this podcast- not because it is easy, mindless background chatter to craft to, but because it is the opposite of that! Lisa pokes at the vacuum bubble that surrounds craft, to let in truth behind the traditions. It’s easy to say “keep your politics out of my craft”- but that is a blind statement. What the mainstream sewing industry promotes and makes available to the community (or DOESN’T promote or make available) is always embedded in cultural and political decision making. I learn so much each episode by listening to Lisa and her guests’ perspectives.
2021-03-15
11. An amazing Posdcast - Lisa is such an amazing host. I have been listening to this podcast for about a year now and I have learned so much. She has amazing guests who have inspired me that as a quilter, I may not have known about before following only quilters. Now, because of her podcast, I have discovered more sewists who are so talented and smart.
2021-03-07
12. Great sewing/fiber podcast! - I look forward to listening to each new release. The host does a great job of interviewing guests and contributes without dominating the conversation. The diversity of guests and topics related to all things fiber and sewing has given me fresh perspectives and that I wasn’t finding on other podcasts.
2021-02-28
13. So glad I found this podcast! - I’m very happy to have discovered this pod cast. I will subscribe and listen while I sew (or knit) I especially loved learning about the Friction Colors pens. I’d used the Friction roller ball pens, but the felt tipped Colors are great for both marking fabric and paper (when I trace patterns). Love this podcast
2021-02-13
14. Content Galore and Inspiration to Boot - Am personally tired of listening to sewing podcasts where the women are just chatting about their personal lives. This podcast is just chaulk full of content. It’s not just for black sewers but for all people who believe sewing should be inclusive and the world should be a more fair place (from dry cleaning prices onward). Keep up the good work- we love you!

1. You’d think there wouldn’t be much to talk about… - If I were to create and publish my own podcast about scrapbooking, a very visual medium, I feel like I would run out of things to say in about ten minutes. And yet I am CONTINUALLY floored by the thoughtful, useful, inclusive, non-judgey, motivating content to be found here.
This podcast is a hidden gem. Jennifer, please do not ever, ever, ever stop publishing it.

2. This resonates so much with me and how my brain works! - This podcast session is just so great! It hits home with things I have contemplated myself and how I wanted to start my scrapbooking journey all those years ago as well as how I want to create now. I am definitely a product person for inspiration when it comes to kits and new names of brands that I am discovering. I used to start with just colored paper and photos. Now I see so many more collections from designers that I can’t wait to try! Please keep posting all of them so I can seek them out to try new things! Thank you for all that you are doing for this craft! Salina B.

4. A podcast about scrapbooking? Yes, please! - I can't believe I'm just now finding this podcast. Sooo very happy to have a good quality podcast to listen to (that's free!). I have only listened to a few episodes so far and I am loving it. Thank you Jennifer Wilson for this! Time to catch up and binge listen to the other episodes!

5. Love this podcast! Scrapbooking LIVES!! - I love Jennifer Wilson’s “Scrapbook Your Way” podcast as she is still in the business of scrapbooking, and welcomes all topics on the subject! She’s had some interesting guests, too. I find myself scrambling for the show notes to look up articles, books, etc referenced. Recently with the BH NSD drama and the general ups and downs of the industry, I’ve been nervous about the longevity of my beloved hobby. Jennifer is helping ease that worry.

6. Fantastic collaboration - I normally don’t leave reviews for anything but I just wanted to let you know that I really have been enjoying each podcast. 1. Sew Much Fun!! - Absolutely LOVE this podcast! As a brand new sewist, Elle and Hazel are so inspirational!! Their show combines helpful tips with playful banter and is an easy listen on a short commute or while completing a mindless project. Coupled with their instagram posts, you can visualize all the patterns and fabrics they’re discussing, and their resounding support for other sewists adds a sense of community. Tip{sy} top marks!
2022-09-15
2. Great fun! - I recently stumbled on this podcast and I’m always looking for a new sewing podcast to listen to on my commute. Elle and Hazel are vibrant, funny and inspirational as they’ve only been sewing garments for a short time. I’m a quilter who has made only a few garments but I’m working on getting my courage up to do more and this show helps. Although I’m far older than them, and unlikely to sew some of the short dresses and skirts they like, I love their enthusiasm and casual banter and do get some great recommendations from the show as well. And maybe I’m going to learn some new slang to share with my teenager.

3. Sewing chats with a drink? Yes please! - I subscribe to quite a few podcasts—some true crime, some political analysis, a couple of local ones, and more sewing podcasts than I’m willing to admit. I’m trying to remember how exactly I found Hazel and Elle—it was likely the magic of algorithms, but no matter. This podcast was a great find, and an even more fun listen. I’ve learned about pattern companies that I didn’t know existed, fiction that incorporates sewing into the storyline, and enjoyed listening to the easy camaraderie that these two share. It really is like sitting down with a friend and a drink and having the kind of fun conversation that makes you forget about the pressures or daily life for a little while. I might chime in to the conversation once in a while. :) Definitely get this podcast in your ears.

1. Always new and current information - I’ve been listening for awhile and always look forward to a new episode. There’s something for most; tea suggestions, other podcast suggestions, books, quilting info, television programs, cross-stitching, knitting and do much more. Thanks for taking the time to continue these fun podcasts. (PS, loved your trip review too).

2. Variety of Topics, which I LOVE too! - I’ve been listening to Kristin’s podcast for - years and have went back to listen to all of the past ones as well. It’s become one of my favorites as I quickly discovered Kristin’s “likes” seem to be my “likes”… quilting, cross-stitch, flowers, light mystery and historical fiction books, cook books, movies and tv series. I find myself checking for a new episode often during the weeks between. However, I know I wouldn’t enjoy them as much if she didn’t have the time to actually do, read, and watch between episodes. It’s one of the few podcasts I listen to that has a single person doing all the talking. She has a private FaceBook page which I also enjoy and find that she even takes the time to interact with the few posts I’ve made there. She actually picked up a cookbook I recommended on the page and gave her review of the cookbook on the most recent episode . Her tone and delivery is so comfy and inviting. Seems like such a delightful person; one that would be wonderful to call “friend.” If you enjoy the topics I mentioned, you’ll also love this podcast too. Enjoy! (And thank you, Kristin, for all the time and thought you put into each episode.) God Bless.

3. SHEs Wonderful - I don’t know how I stumbled across this podcast since I’m not a quilter. Nonetheless, I look forward to each new episode and am working through the past podcasts. Like others, I feel like Kristen is sitting with me and having a conversation. She is well spoken and speaks with a down-to-earth, casual style.
She leads a very interesting life with her family and friends and shares it with us … quilting and other crafty interests, books, and television. On top of all that, she’s a Jeffrey Archer fan. I can only hope she podcasts more often. Truly a wonderful podcast.

4. So enjoyable and highly anticipated - I found Simple, Handmade, Everyday several years ago while looking for quilt-related podcasts. Little did I know how much impact it would have on my life! The Quilts, The book recommendations, the shows to watch! So many good things come out of Kristen. I feel like we are virtual friends. Do I find myself talking to the podcast? Yes, yes I do. It’s truly like sitting at a cafe with a friend.

5. Wonderful listen for quilters or creative people! - Kristen has a wonderful way of inviting you into her life with her quilting exploits, her life as a busy mom and wife and modern woman, and her reading and viewing adventures. She is practical and funny and all too human, like all of us. Thank you for sharing your life!

6. Best podcast ever!!!! - Kristen !!! I found you about months ago and what a find you are!! I absolutely love listening to you. I especially love that you talk about so many different things. I’m a tea lover so it’s wonderful hearing about the tea you drink. You’ve inspired me to get back to knitting. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. Here’s sending you a great big hug All my best, from Teresa in Florida

7. A New Favorite Podcast - Kristin has a great voice for podcasting, which is important for my podcast choices. She also has an interesting line-up of topics: quilting, knitting, fabrics, books, TV shows & movies, etc. I like and plan to use her phrase "home blessings" for what I used to call "chores." This is one podcast I have subscribed to, gone back to listen to episodes I've missed, and will continue to listen to. (And, there are only - other podcasts I do the same.)

8. One of my favorite podcasts - I always look forward to this podcasts. I enjoy all aspects of the podcast, especially the book reviews, quilting, and home organization sections. I’m also keeping a list of the shows she recommends. I even get a kick out of listening to the things I won’t be doing: manicures etc. Thank you for the interesting time I get to spend with you! It’s great entertainment while I’m cleaning the kitchen or quilting.

9. Love this podcast - I have been a loyal listener for over a year, and have sincerely enjoyed listening to Kristen talk about her latest tea discovery, quilting segments & her book and television suggestions. I am now totally hooked on the Louise Penny, Inspector Gamache series and have read several. I apologize for not reviewing this sooner, but I had a difficult time trying to figure out how to leave a review. Thank you, Kristen.

10. Love this Podcast! - I just found the Simply Handmade Everyday Podcast and I love it!!!
I live an hour from town in the country(in southern Oregon), so I really enjoy listening a bit longer podcast. I enjoy everything you talk about! We could so be kindred spirits, as Anne of Green Gables would say! Don’t change a thing. Paula Duey

11. Love it! - I don’t love podcasts I guess it’s because I feel like there’s enough talking everywhere and when I have time for audio I don’t always want to hear people’s voices. This podcast Kristen was amazing! I can’t wait to listen to your backlist of the other podcasts! That is walks this summer! My goal for summer is to spend more time on myself as well-and listening to you was like tea with a friend!! Thank you!!

12. One Of My New Favorite Podcasts - I only recently started listening to Kristin’s podcast, but it has quickly become one of my favorites. She and I have very similar interests and personalities, so it is like listening to an old friend. If you are into quilting, knitting, and reading, then come and nerd out on this podcast!

13. Lovely voice and interesting topics. - I am a new listener but love listening to all her topics and she has enlighten and expanded my horizons on several topics. Love the homemaking ideas and organization. The quilting ideas and book reviews are very inspirational. This podcast is like sitting down with your best friend and having an afternoon chat. I listen to her when I sit down to cross stitch.

14. One of My Favorites! - I love your podcast! I listen while I am sewing and it’s like visiting with a good friend. Kristen has tips for quilting, knitting and home care. She reviews shows and books she’s reading and watching as well. Her show notes are a great resource for all of the content she discusses. Every Monday I can’t wait to see if she has a new one. I know it’s going to be a good week when I get to listen to her podcast. Thanks Kristen!

15. Cheerful - I love listening to Kristin’s podcast as she creates a little escape into her world of teas, books, TV shows, and quilting. It’s nice to hear a voice that you begin to feel you ‘know,’ and look forward to hear her next updates. I love hearing about her book and TV reviews and suggestions, and have been pleasantly surprised when I enjoy the same, though not always, but when is anything ever %? And to top it off, her quilting knowledge is also a big plus!

16. Very Inspirational - I just finished listening to your most recent Podcast. Listening to your inspiring stories, book choices, current projects, etc is very inspiring to me. I look forward to tuning in whenever you have a new episode. It’s kind of like sitting down with a friend (except I can’t respond haha) But I can tell you would be the perfect friend to sit down with in person with teacups in hand and have a nice long visit. So thank you

17. A great getaway - I thoroughly enjoy listening to this podcast. I work in a hospital laboratory which is extremely stressful and tiring at the current time. It is such a nice getaway to be able to sit and stitch and listen to Kristin talk. It helps to relieve my stress and think about something else. So thank you very much for doing this and know that you are doing something to help out the rest of us during this pandemic!

18. Thanks for being REAL! - Love listening this podcast. It’s like we’re chatting on my back patio with a cup of tea talking about real life (but not the hard stuff!). She has numerous interests from quilting and crochet to gardening, reading and staying healthy and talks about the ways she balances those. She makes it OK to not finish a book of you don’t like it, change plans at the last minute to accommodate family or friends and try new things!

1. Thumbs up podcast - This podcast is truly uplifting and positive. The guests have been informative and inspirational and the topics seem to be well thought out. I listen at night in bed as I’m winding down from my day and it’s like being read a bedtime story that I know will have a happy ending. Thank you Susan for keeping the love of quilting alive.

2. Awesome Podcast! - This podcast is now one of my favorites! Susan is so clear in her descriptions about things being discussed that I can envision the technique! The people she interviews are varied and very interesting! I can tell Susan puts a lot of time into these. I’m in love and excited to binge listen to them all! Thank you ever so much for a great Podcast!

3. Love the podcast - I just discovered your new podcast, Susan, and am working my way backward through them all. You are a wonderful host and interviewer. The show is calming and energizing. I don’t feel like I am listening to an infomercial. Especially loved your interview with Karen Schoepflin Hagen. What an amazing woman! Thank you!

1. Fun listen, but annoying dog - This podcast has lots of knitting information, interviews, and personal anecdotes. It's an enjoyable listen while knitting, just be sure to have pen and paper nearby to make a note of all the useful resources that Kelley mentions. Some of the "Meet the Employee" pieces drag on because not everyone is dynamic enough to hold listener interest, but it's easy enough to forward over those. The worst part of the podcast is the ear piercing dog yap at the end of the early podcasts.
2013-11-11
2. Fantastic! - This is actually the first knitting podcast I've ever listened to and is still my favorite. I've only been knitting for a couple of months but I find the information, especially the book reviews, very informative. I decided to start from the beginning and have not been disappointed. I also agree with one of the other reviewers about Kelly and her soothing voice. I have a hard time listening at work because then I'm itching to start knitting something. I'm still in the "square" phase of my knitting (dishcloths, scarves, throws) but when she starts talking about socks...I can't wait to get to the that phase of my knitting! Thank you so much for a great podcast (and a great webstore). Looking forward to future episodes.
2013-02-05
3. Surprise! - I initially avoided this podcast as I thought it would be a dry "how to". What a pleasant surprise! Every gentle, soothing episode reminds me why I've fallen in love with knitting and fiber in general. Kelley is a terrific host and the staff stories are tremendous. Top of my listening queue!

4. Such a great knitting podcast - I really love this podcast. Kelly and her team from Knit Picks always give great information, I love hearing about all the new things that are coming out although it does make it hard for me to wait for the catalog to arrive in the mail. I have learned a lot listening to Kelly, not just about knitting, but also about weaving, and spinning. Thanks for all the great episodes, book reviews, interviews, and just general chatting about all things knitting, and fiber related. I have enjoyed many a laugh listening to the podcasts. Thanks for all you bring to my fiber world!!
2012-02-15
5. frustrated listener - I normally enjoy the Knit Picks podcast but I have to say I was extremely frustrated listening to Stephanie interview people at TNNA.
When the person she was interviewing was answering questions, Stephanie interrupted with her own comments and when she wasn't interrupting she interspersed "yea" and "uh hmm", which wouldn't be bad but she did this when the other person was STILL TALKING! So rude and you could not hear the comments/answers of the other person.
She certainly needs to learn some interviewing skills.
2012-02-05
6. I Knit Picks! - Kelley does an excellent job with her podcast. Some reviewers have complained about her tone, but I think she's just trying to enunciate well and speak clearly. She loves knitting and loves spreading the word about how fun it can be. As a newer knitter, I find it inspiring and look forward to learning techniques (entrelac, intarsia, etc). Give this one a listen! She shines when she reviews books.
2011-12-04
7. Packed full of info for designers and knitters alike! - I've been listening to the KnitPicks podcast since I started knitting. Kelly and gang tals about their knitting, the business of knitting, and the process of designing knitware and yarn. I've learned so much from this podcast, from the history of knitting to how new yarns and colors are selected. Also, if you are a designer (or aspires to be one), I think you'll learn a lot from this podcast. I absolutely recommends this to everyone!

8. star knitting podcast - I just found this! It is super! I love Kelly's voice. She is very relaxing. This podcast is almost always on topic (unlike another knitting podcast), interesting, and informative. I was a bit worried that it would be an infomercial- it was not that way at all. Keep up the great work and thank you!
2011-05-04
9. Why does she talk like she is talking to children? - I really like this podcast, however, I cannot listen to the very first part where she talks like she is talking to a child. She says a word. word. word. word. word. The sentence does not just flow. I have noticed when she is talking with someone else, she talks just fine. So annoying!!
2011-04-18
10. Congratulations on the Spinning! - I am so thrilled that Knit Picks decided to market SPINNING !!!
To be a great knitter -- you have to know your fibers and it is above the rest that you are educating more men & women about the art of it all. Good Luck Knit Picks! I am ordering a batt soon.
The blend of the old (spinning) and the modern (online selling) can be great for the experienced and especially the beginner. Smooth and unique, yes!

11. knit Picks is my PICK!! - Best craft cast I have heard. This is the most informative knitting podcast I have heard. I listen to others, and this is the best. They detail topics that are relevant to knitting today. I do wish sometimes they had video casts for some of the techniques, maybe that’s coming soon. Thank you Knit Picks staff you do an awesome job both in the podcast and the website with the tips. I have told all of my knitting circle about the website and podcast. I appreciate how Kelly addresses every level of knitter, wven with her, as some have commented, her breaking tone, she still beats most others. Some of the tips are refreshers for the advances, and new information for beginners. All in all very good job!
2010-12-16
12. Great Podcast!! - I've been listening to Knit Picks Podcast for years. It gets better and better. I always learn something about knitting or fiber-related things. In addition to Kelly, there are top notch interviews with both popular authors and knitting world people but also conversations with her highly knowledgeable staff (which I very much enjoy). I can't recommend it enough.
2010-12-13
13. Very passionate podcast - The passion for knitting and yarn literally oozes from this podcast. I absolutely love it! It is perfectly balanced with tips, techniqes, interviews, reviews, historical tidbits, products and personal knitting adventures. I listen to several knitting podcasts but this one is my favorite, hands down. Keep up the great job, Knit Picks!
2010-05-14
14. Very informative without being pushy - You would think that since this is a podcast being produced by a company that sells knitting supplies that they would really puch their products. Kelley doesn't do that! They are mentioned, but other brand names are mentioned, too. I love this! It seems like more of a knitting podcast than a selling pitch - and that's what kelley does. It's an informative podcast about everything to do with knitting, whether it's fiber, books, notions, or other supplies or techniques, patterns, designs, or tips on how to save money! Loved that specific 'cast especially! And the story about Ms Eiderdown's sticking. PLEASE, please, PLEASE keep the podcast coming! Love them!
2010-02-07
15. Informative and fun - This is one of the first podcasts I ever found and I'll always listen to it and keep the most helpful and fun episodes. Kelley (and sometimes staff) offer extremely good information on a superb variety of topics related to yarn and knitting. There are book reviews and interviews and it's really a good resource. The only issue I have is the outright crochet distaste (one episode declared adamantly that 'crochet is not for garments') that comes from the host and the company. Crocheters just have to look past that and go for it if they want to use their yarns. That said, I think the information and variety still grant this one a star rating. Check it out!
2010-01-19
16. Well thought out and delivered - Kelley really enjoys what she does and it shows with each and every podcast. She looks forward to and gets excited about interviewing authors, is concise in her descriptives, and she really cares about knitting, yarn, spinning, dying and her fellow knitters. Beside that she loves to read other-than knitting books and drops great reading hints too.
2009-10-05
17. Just a little tedious - I've listened to Knit Picks for a while now, and lately I find that I'm a little bored with the podcast. There is a little too much chatter about technique. If you don't have the book or piece of knitting being discussed right in front of you, you're left out of the discussion. I still listen on occasion, but this podcast just isn't my favorite right now.
2009-05-12
18. Useful products - Kelley, I really enjoyed the show where you reviewed some of the products that knitters need and use and how Knit Picks made them more affordable. I am now using the hand held ball winder and today, I pulled out the blocking pads for some purse handles. It's so great to only have to use pieces in a row to block the small pieces instead of needing a whole huge board to complete the task. I'm really happy to hear Xena, saying good-bye at the end.

1. My Fave - Honestly did not think I would ever get off True Crime podcasts…until you two! Seriously my favorite and I’m more than a little nervous about where I go from here. It’s obvious that you put a lot of time and thought into each episode and I’m learning so much (even tho I’ve been knitting most of my life). Thank you. It’s a joy to listen. I’m slowly going through each episode and then going to the show notes to look up every thing you mention. So many beautiful patterns, yarns, wonderful designers to explore! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you will return (even if it’s not weekly) and at the same time understanding how much goes into one of your shows. Whatever happens, thank you for sharing your knowledge, grace and helpful hints. Best of everything to you both!!!

2. Where did you go? - I just discovered this podcast, and after binge listening through the holidays, I’ve listened to the last episode, and loved every minute of it. I went to the website and to Patreon to support the podcast, but it seems to have been wiped off the face of the earth. Am I missing something, or is it gone forever?

3. Favorite podcast, even when running - Where has this podcast been? I found this about a month ago and it has made my day, year, pandemic(?). Thank you ladies for this wonderful podcast. You keep me company when I’m out on long runs and when I’m sitting at home knitting (or doing other activities).
2022-08-14
4. So much fun! - I’m a relatively new knitter and have not found an in person group so I was looking for podcasts to listen to while I knit; I’m so glad I found this one! Karen and Jessica, you two are great. I’ve learned so much and you’re just so much fun to listen to. I’m almost caught up and look forward to participating in a KAL! I’m sad I’m on the other coat but have always wanted to go to New England and will have to stop by!

5. Sunshine on a cloudy day - You two are wonderful to listen to! I’m so glad I found you. You’re funny, you have pleasant voices (not true of all podcasters),and the trifecta-you give helpful information. I wish I lived closer to your shop, I would enjoy a knit/crochet chat with you! Keep up the good work. Laura in Kentucky

6. Please keep laughing! - Listening to this podcast is like catching up with friends. I genuinely look forward to each new episode. It’s equal parts approachable and informative, and it’s clear that Karen and Jessica love what they do. I also appreciate everything they do to make their podcast an accessible, inclusive space. I’m so sincerely appreciative of these two!
2022-06-18
7. Please stop laughing so much - I’ve been on a search and this is a star podcast with the best knitting information out there! Bless you ladies for putting together such a thoughtful and informative program. I learn something new with each episode…
HOWEVER… one of the ladies laughs constantly. The laugh is sweet and cheerful but sometimes at inappropriate times and I need to skip back just to listen again to hear what was being said. Sometimes the laugh is thrown in where no laugh was needed or just not even a funny spot. It’s the same loud laugh chant over and over… it has become annoying and distracting.
I will try and get over my issue. I recognize that it’s a me problem. But perhaps some thought could be given to how it sounds to the rest of us? I really want to love this podcast!

8. Funny and interesting! - I love this pair so much. They’re both funny, but one of them is funny in particular without trying, which I really like (not mentioning which so the other won’t feel bad). Their topics are always interesting, and whenever they talk about their shop, it never seems like an advertisement. Rarely is a knitting podcast not just advertising! Oh, that’s another good thing about this podcast: no advertisements! Love it. Please keep making more
2022-05-24
9. Favorite Knitting Podcast!!! - I just finished binge listening to all the past episodes and couldn’t get enough! I am both excited and sad to be caught up. I’ve learned so much that I never understood or knew and it’s been so great! I’ve gathered many more Ravelry favs, found a dream travel trip/company, learned about fiber fests, been inspired and encouraged, and so much more. I can’t wait for more episodes!!
2022-05-21
10. Best podcast - Jessica and Karen are so fun to listen to. I really enjoy that they feature a different knitting topic every episode and even though
I’ve been knitting for a long time, I still learn something new . I also really enjoy hearing about the projects they are working on .
Looking forward to visiting their store sometime!

11. Very useful information, clear topics, and not too much giggles - I don’t usually make comments on podcast channels but I found this knitting podcast very easy to listen to with full of useful tips and information. Jessica and Karen do a great job focusing their discussion on the topic of the day and not making their podcast sound like a babbling time for their life stories. Their voices are soft and professional. I am usually annoyed with other knitting podcasts where the podcasters giggle excessively or scream laugh after someone says something.
2022-03-23
12. Love! - Love love love this podcast. Clear topic for the week, awesome format (on the needles and the “letter”). I have learned so much and appreciate the thoughtful way Karen and Jessica inspire care to others, kindness to yourself, and taking a risk to just try something out. I am now obsessed with the podcast and they have a new online customer for their shop. Now that I’ve gone through EVERY back episode I am going to have to be patient and wait for Tuesdays. I may even try a KAL…

13. Favorite knitting podcast. - Im getting back into knitting after decades away. The podcasters do a fabulous job of somehow making the show useful and informative for all different skill levels. I’ve brushed up my knowledge base and learned many new skills and tips. Just finished a hat that I’d promised to my husband years ago! I love knitting again. Thank you Jessica and Karen!
2022-02-06
14. Insightful and relaxing - This is my go to “on my way to work” podcast. I am a baby knitter, teaching myself to knit via YouTube. Karen and Jessica are a wealth of information for me! Their lighthearted, but informative, chats make me brave enough to pick up my needles to try to create something chaotically beautiful.
2022-01-28
15. My New Favorite Knitting Podcast - I just started listening to the MakeGood Podcast. These ladies are really fun and engaging. The podcast covers some really interesting topics including knitting techniques and vocabulary, festivals, choosing materials. I find it both educational and entertaining. I’m listening through the past episodes while I wait for the new one to come out each week. Definitely worth “tuning in”!
2022-01-10
16. Learning AND Laughing - I’m a beginner knitter at age . You ladies have made knitting completely accessible and much less scary while providing laughs along the way! My intimidation has turned to curiosity and addiction to FPT (fibers, patterns & tools) is much more focused. Some friends and i are starting a knitting night gathering after the holidays IN PERSON (yay!!). Thank you for being there for us all and keep up the awesome work!
