1. Great show - hilarious - but... - It's a great show. The greatest car talk show every produced. I started listening decades ago when it was on the radio every Saturday morning (pre internet and pre podcast days). Nevertheless, it's great to see it alive in airing past shows here. However, one thing - can't you keep the espisode up longer? You remove them after about a week of putting them up. Sometimes I can't get to them and next thing you know, they are gone. Be like other shows - just leave them all available.

2. How it all began - When I was about or years old, me and my dad were in our garage with the speaker on playing this podcast, and I always remember parts when he would laugh his but off. I remember asking him what we were exactly listening too and he said it was called “Car Talk”. Finally when I get a iPhone I had quickly downloaded this podcast, and now… in my time of being I still, till this very day, listen to this every night. Thank you Click and Clack. Rest In Peace, Tom

3. Absolutely Infectious Good Humor! - Carburetors and distributors my be things of the automotive past, but the way Tom and Ray talk about them is timeless. These are smart guys often asked about things beyond their knowledge to which they bravely plow ahead. While contemporary automotive advice is less frequent, common sense, good humor and kindness are ever present. I’ve loved these broadcasts since the first time I heard them.

4. Love those guys - Amazing that these now old shows still stand up despite advice about now very old cars. That sure shows that the charm was how the guys gave advice, not what the advice was. That said: why truncate the shows? As so many other reviewers have said, the full episodes would be far better. Everyone finds their own particular charming nugget in each show, so every part edited out is removing someone’s nugget. Bring it ALL back.
2022-09-22
5. Patriarchytalk - This show is VIOLENCE against the LGBTQIA community! The cishet boomer hosts always presume the gender of their callers and never once ask for their callers preferred pronouns! Its disgusting and brings so much trauma to trans and nonbinary listeners alike. It should come with a trigger warning! Every caller with a higher-pitched voice is presumed to be a woman, and the hosts always ask about "her" husband. When its a lower-voiced caller, they presume they are a man and ask about "his" wife. NPR should be ashamed at airing a show that promotes such outdated and harmful gender stereotypes.

6. Grab a Tissue - I’ve fallen in love with your show. Not because you are a good resource for car information, or because I can continue to waste an hour a week with you. Not even because I think your humor is the best ever. Belly laughing and beer spraying out of my nose happen so frequently, the beer doesn’t burn anymore.
I needed to to get a personal phone. So being a true car talk patron, keeping it cheap, I asked my brother if he had an old cell phone, he has two kids and our mom was with him before she passed in Sept of . So he sent me one on my Mom’s old ones. When I finally cracked the password and got some help from apple to personalize the device to me, I went straight to the pod cast icon and had all my favorites downloaded in. While I waited, I noticed that my Mom was a subscriber and the episodes of car talk had been piling up since her passing. She was in healthcare not automobiles at all. This women, after divorcing my dad, broke down crying uncontrollably because with her master’s degree in biology and life sciences thought that she should be able to change wiper blades on her Eclipse, but it was an epic fail. I thought, there is no earthly reason why she would subscribe to your show.
I didn’t cancel the subscription, remember, I’m cheap, and you guys are free. I just let them continue to pile. About a month ago, I caved in and hit the play arrow. It only took five minutes before I was overcome in a wave of emotions. In that five minutes, I figured it out, and when I looked around to see if anyone noticed I was crying, I could feel the presence of my mother. I’ve listened to every back episode since Sept of , and I am all caught up looking forward to each episode.
Thank you for helping me to keep my mother close to my heart.
Now I need a tissue. Thanks gentlemen, signed, loyal listener, john from San Juan Cap, CA

7. Taking down old episodes?!?! - I was in the middle of listening to a show and it disappeared. After some poking around I realized it wasn’t an issue with my phone but rather that there are only four episodes accessible at any given time!!! Why?!?!?! Don’t you guys understand that anyone listening to Car Talk now is a devotee who wants to be able to scroll through to past favorites any nostalgic day of the week?!?!?! I’m crushed!

8. Can I just buy the original episodes? - My daughter and I love Car Talk. What we don’t like is the fact that all the episodes have disappeared from YouTube and the podcast app. Also we want the full length episodes. Obviously the person who is managing this channel doesn’t understand what the listeners want. Look through the comments. I only read one comments saying that the person liked the shorter format. One person. Every other comment is calling for the episodes to be full length and for the powers that be stop deleting the episodes. This leads me to the question, how or can I just purchase all the episodes so I can just own the media? Thanks

Comments
1. Disappointing drop in quality - What has happened to this show? Tuned in to the latest episode, which can be roughly summarized as “Matt Farrah tells drivers concerned about EV range that he knows their needs better than they do, and then rants at his co-host about the semantics of a question he asked.” Used to like these guys, but lately it just seems like a venue for Farrah to engage in egotistical diatribes.
2023-03-12
2. Don’t Ask Questions - Was listening to the pod today and was shocked to see how rude you were about the guy asking would you rather buy a z or zr. You blew it way out of proportion, you should of just skipped the question or just answered, not wined about how it wasn’t the correct format for you to answer. Zach was right in this situation, hopefully you treat you fans a little better because without them you’d be no-one.
2023-03-07
3. Elon Musk (We get it already) - Even though Musk lives rent-free in Farah’s head he’s a progressive man of the people who’s super-relatable because who doesn’t own Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Porsches?
I guess acknowledging your privilege and and saying the “right “ thing is enough without having to actually make a difference. Also, maybe Zach could have an original opinion for once instead of agreeing and just adding to whatever Matt says, he’s annoying at this point. I do like their coverage on cars though
2022-11-23
4. Always A Great Listen - I don’t think I have ever listened to an episode of The Smoking Tire podcast and walked away feeling like it wasn’t worth my time. No matter what genre of guest appears on the show Matt always strikes good and interesting conversation. Zach does a really good job producing and keeping the podcast feeling put together, as well as being a great part of the conversation. Even if you aren’t into cars I recommend giving this podcast a listen, especially when there is a guest on. I think half the reason this podcast is such a good listen is Matt’s backbone, I never hear him spewing b.s. or swaying his opinion from what he actually believes, definitely makes me confident in what I hear on the show. All in all a great and entertaining listen worth your time.
2022-10-13
5. Best podcast for car people who want more - This has to be hands down one of the best podcasts for car enthusiasts who want more than just car talk. I always take something useful from each podcast and I listen every single Tuesday and Thursday like clockwork. I along with many others appreciate the work you guys put into this and the wide variety of guests you’re able to get on the show. Thank you guys for all the content!

6. Great, if it sticks to cars. - Listen to this podcast if you want;
. A grown man who likes cats.
. A guy who ordered a pink Porsche.
. A year old who has a Ferrari and Lamborghini and is a “progressive” (It’s time to grow up, Matt)
. A guy who is into Seiko watches.
. A guy who talks non stop about progressive, social justice politics. Givin the above. This is not guy who’s opinion anybody should value.
2022-08-23
7. Too much political talk - I used to listen to this show as the episodes came out and really enjoyed it. But lately it’s just gotten more and more political complaining. I come here to hear about cars and funny stories, not about how much he hates whatever side he’s not on. I know my opinion isn’t going to change a thing at all but I hope these car podcasts will get back to what we all come here for which is car reviews and stories about them. Shows like everyday driver and tfl stick to what they know which is what makes them such great shows.
2022-06-29
8. Good show needs to stay on topic - I really like the show. I just found the podcast and I really like it, but I wish Matt would stay on topic and I get onto stupid controversial topics like politics or Twitter lol. Just talk about cars. If you don’t like Tesla trash the company but when he starts talking about controversial topics that have nothing to do with cars it turns me off from the Show. When he talks about cars I’m very intrigued and love it. When he starts talking about politics or controversial subjects I turn it off.

1. My only ‘must listen’ podcast - Kelly and Lizz light up my school pickup ride every week. They make me laugh so hard and I learn so much - about cars, new recipes, the list goes one - and they make me feel like I am not crazy. Love hearing Kelly’s drive way dumps and Lizz’s reel talks. I can tell they are just amazingly wonderful people who have fun recording. Keep it up, girls!
2023-03-22
2. They’re cute and not annoying! - Truly it’s not easy to find a podcast when voices can be so easily annoying. These girls nailed it. They’re working hard — so much so that I’m like, “sisters, take a week off, we will be okay listening to a re-run, mmmk?”. I’m not a car person but the industry news makes me edgy with my husband and he’s impressed with the auto knowledge I bring to the table. Except for when I told him to invest in Rivian because my podcast friends told me to. Bad move but totally forgiven and made up for with other great content. Solid listen for midwesterner females -. Can’t speak for other regions or ages. But that’s a huge group of podcast listeners so that’s a huge compliment. Worth a subscribe click!

3. Road Trip Car Pool Happy Mommas - Shout out to Kelly and Liz for having the best entertainment for two mommas and their . kiddos on a road trip during spring break! The hour trip went by so much faster with you two starting great conversation. Thankful for The Car Pool! — Houston mommas, Sarah Blaire :)
2023-03-16
4. Torn - I like their personalities and content, however, I had to stop listening because of the amount of times they say like. It’s so distracting and annoying. Using like every other word is a bad problem with a lot of young women. It’s not a good way to communicate when you’re hosting a podcast.
2023-03-16
5. Obsessed with these girlies! - Kelly & Lizz have quickly become the besties I didn’t know I needed! I listen to the podcast whenever I’m doing mundane chores and need some company. Love the sister dynamics of the podcast and when y’all are feisty at each other (let’s be honest usually it’s Kelly, Lizz is a Saint lol) it really makes me feel like y’all are family because that is so me and my younger sis! Love listening to the podcast keep doing your thing!
2023-03-14
6. Love my car dates with these sistahs! - I started following the car mom and fell in love with her genuine sweetness, creative spunk and drive to improve others lives by sharing her knowledge. Lizz brings the perfect balance.she is authentic and candid. I was so excited when Kelly and Lizz started their podcast. This is my only appropriate podcast I can listen to WITH my kids in the car!!! So grateful to no swearing and family friendly content. (I love my paranormal and true crime ; but they have to stay to earphone only). The test drive saves me from trying things I don’t need to (I’m a marketers dream and love me a seasonal flavor) and introduce me to new faves. Ditch the drive thru saves me regularly. Great speaks to my soul. These women are true gems in every way. I can’t wait to see how they develop and grow their content as their littles grow.
2023-03-14
7. Great Listen! - Love this podcast and how relatable Kelly & Lizz are. I’m from the Midwest originally and listening to them makes me feel like I’m back home with friends or sisters. I love all the segments except for the great s they seem to just go on for so long sometimes and don’t always keep my attention but overall love that the girls try to keep the content fresh and fun! I’m not a mom, so sometimes it’s hard to feel like the show is really directed at me and it’s difficult to explain/recommend to friends that aren’t mothers. I’m willing to bet there are more listeners that aren’t mothers though and I love the women focused, millennial perspective so I tune in regularly and look forward to the two episodes each week. Props to Kelly for breastfeeding and recording at the same time, you are awesome!
2023-03-14
8. I love these fellow Midwestern girlies! - A wholesome, yet entertaining podcast that I can listen to with my toddler in the car (if she’ll let me). I am a true crime fan at heart, but I felt weird listening to those in the car with my toddler, even if she was asleep. Like I just don’t know if true crime is something I want her listening to until she’s like . Ya know? Also, they don’t swear, which is cool because I’m really trying to not swear in front of my kid too. I always learn something new, like Gen-Z phrases, or some kind of hack that might make life a little easier.

1. Could be better! - First off want to just say thank you for a high quality podcast and providing free content. I really like this show but think that it feels like a more relaxed up to speed, which is great but I think it needs to go a little more in detail. I agree with others that the amount of ads is quite a bit high; by extending the episodes with - mins more of in depth content I think will help flesh out the ads and make the episodes more enjoyable.
2023-02-02
2. Meh - % of this show is ads… also James is so annoying like kick him off the show. Joe and Nolan like want to inform us which is good.
James just keeps repeating a joke over and over again. What’s about all of the sex jokes?? Apart from the flaws about this show that you will immediately find it’s okay some podcasts are much better. If James gets his act together I will enjoy this podcast more. Thanks for reading.
2023-01-24
3. James. Brother. - I enjoy Donut Media on YouTube, have for years. I also listen to podcasts daily while at work. This is the third time I had to stop listening to an episode. James is funny on video, but he needs to understand these long “comical skits” don’t transfer well in audio, especially when I am trying to listen to Nolan tell a story. Thanks for all you guys do!
2023-01-17
4. I love this show !! - Great educational show on cars. Would you guys ever do a episode on the i series . Form Bmw since they have now killed it and has its own cult like following. I always hear companies do out out but they put out on this one. I hope to hear something on it. Keep it up in a great show .
2022-11-22
5. Racing sponsors - You guys obviously didn’t research very well on sponsors in Motorsports. You need to do a little more research into this. Most of your other podcasts are really well done. But this one you only touched the surface, try again and you’d be surprised as to the amount of sponsors in Motorsports. Your podcast is mostly right but it’s not Kenny Robers who won the World Championship it was his son Kenny Roberts Jr. Please correct your error.
2022-10-10
6. This is why I wake up every day - This show is the only solace I find in life. As long as Nolan keeps messing up facts so other listeners can jump him, I’ll keep listening. I’m kidding, it’s a great show and I highly recommend it. I now have Nolan, James, and Joe tattooed on my back like the Pip Boys.
2022-09-06
7. Freaking love these guys and ALL their shows!! - Such a laid back and funny show enlightening the listener with awesome car and car related history! I listen to this show while I’m on the road for work and there is never a full moment! I can’t always watch the YouTube shows so I’m grateful for this podcast! Keep on keepin on guys! Fire it up! Mopower and be nice!
2022-08-29
8. One of the most diverse Car Podcasts out there - Big donut head and love this podcast as well! The hosts work well together and cover a wide variety of topics Only thing preventing it from getting stars is there are way too many advertisements. A lot of midroll ads really mess with of the flow of the show. But, as the episodes are free, it’s not the worst case scenario. Overall love the show and remember to KEEP IT JUICED!

Cars, Coffee and Comedy hosted by comedian and automotive enthusiast Spike Feresten and featuring Jerry Seinfeld, lawyer Paul Zuckerman, MotorTrend's Jonny Lieberman, and The Smoking Tire's Matt Farah with guests from the automotive industry, notable comedians and celebrities. Comments
1. Great show for the most part - One of my favorite podcasts and regular listens. As a fellow lawyer I enjoy hearing Zuckerman talk and say the things I’m thinking. That being said, Spike has gotta learn to shut up for a second and let the other guys finish their thoughts! For Christsakes man, let them finish before you jump in!
2023-01-11
2. Great Podcast for Several Reasons - I love this podcast because I feel like I’m in California with the guys talking about awesome watches and cars while mixing in some innocent, comical candor. The hosts and guests and great to listen to, down to earth, and relatable. Every time I listen to an episode mentioning the GT RS, I regret not getting on an allocation list last year when I first heard about the car, which I can’t stop thinking about now! If there is any chance I could drive Spike and Paul’s allocation when they take delivery, I would be forever grateful! Keep up the great work guys.
2022-11-14
3. More advertisements than a late night tv show - Geez at the advertisements! It seems that I’m listening to more advertising than content. I understand that a podcast must be financially viable, but instead of interrupting the conversation every - minutes to announce something I'm not interested in, please consider having all of the ads at once.
2022-09-15
4. It’s not my fault I just bought a Porsche - Spike’s Car radio has been the greatest inspiration in my recent purchase of a beauty of a C. Midnight blue/ sand beige leather.
My car enthusiast son , and I went to the Saratoga Springs Auto Museum in April and just missed the Porsche exhibit, but got the catalog of some of Steven Harris’ Porsche collection . Stunningly photographed and exquisitely beautiful sculpted art pieces!
I’ve had the obsession ever since to have a Porsche.
After speaking to my son about Harris’ collection, he recommended I listen to your Podcast.
Since then, I’ve listened to the last shows and you and the guys have been a constant source of inspiration to make the leap and enter The World of Porsche.
Thank you for being there and sharing your Porsche stories and improving the quality of my life!
Gratefully yours Angelo Castello

5. Late Night meets Cars & Coffee - Spike Feresten brings his impeccable experience as a brilliant comedy writer for some of the best TV ever into a podcast that is as passionate as it is sincere and intelligent about cars and the car world. Utilizing the forever entertaining late night talk show format, he takes it further, by bending it to make you feel like you’re sitting with them smoking cigars and chatting. You feel so good when your done with a show, like hanging with the smartest and most fun friends a person can have, talking shop. It’s not good. It’s not great. It’s brilliant. Johnny Lieberman is brilliant. Paul Zuckerman is simply perfect and brilliant. Jerry Seinfeld is a genius. And yet, for all that collective brain power, they make you feel completely welcome. Smart. Funny. Cars and cigars for everyone.
2022-05-20
6. How lucky are we to get this to free! - I’ve been a fan of this show for years and never gave a review. So here goes. My wife and I love Car Matchmaker. We downloaded episodes on ITunes and would watch them when we traveled. What is so great about anything Spike hosts is the enjoyment he has while doing it. Having someone like Zuckerman, who is one of the most naturally funny people I’ve heard, and the others to let them go and play the straight man is so fun to listen to.
The clever part is Jerry’s role. For once he is not the straight man or the funny man, but now the wise man. GFY
2022-03-17
7. Non-Journalist Spike - I have followed this podcast for a while now. But I am getting tired of Spike using his excuse “I’m not a car journalist - I just love cars” to babble nonsense on the podcasts. I guess he thinks this is entertaining? Sorry it’s not to me! I’ll listen to experts & journalists who do the work to know what they’re talking about. Good bye & good luck Spike.
2022-02-28
8. Use to love it. What happened. - Love the cars don’t get me wrong, but spike is the rudest most dismissive person I’ve ever heard on a podcast. Struggles to grasp his own hypocrisy when telling others not to interrupt him, while talking over everyone at the same time. Can’t imagine how he has any friends not to mention a wife and family.

The hosts of "Everyday Driver", Paul and Todd, get behind the microphone to answer questions and help viewers find the right car for their needs. Disagreement and debate are bound to happen. Along the way they discuss what goes on behind the scenes of their review films and other topics throughout the car industry.
Release date: 2023-03-22
Comments
1. The Gold Standard for Approachable Car Content - Everyday Driver has always been my go to podcast for car content. Paul and Todd are outstanding hosts and make the listener feel like they are part of the conversation. If you are looking for a new car or are just an automotive enthusiast, this is the show for you. Just be warned, side effects may include obsesive car shopping and budget restructuring.
2023-03-11
2. Great podcast if you like cars (trucks, vans, etc) - If you are someone who enjoys thinking about, talking about, or just good ol’ fashioned talking about cars, you’ll enjoy this. Do the guys have their favorite brands (Lotus, Porsche etc) sure, but they can also appreciate when your life would likely be better with something different. I also like the unique recommendations they’ll give. They’ll discuss the practicalities of a particular vehicle. Which is important, but will also talk through the fun factor…or lack thereof if needed.
2023-02-18
3. Highlights of the week and they’re clean - I listen to every episode the day they come out during my commute and it’s the highlight of the week. The addition of the episode during the week of the audio only version of YouTube video is great. It’s also clean, so listening to it with the kids in the car isn’t an issue.
2023-01-21
4. Thanks Gentlemen - Enjoy the podcast immensely. Got my dad hooked on the show and he bought an affordable six speed low mileage NC Miata during the pandemic after listening and watching religiously. My folks have enjoyed the little car, revisiting great roads that were “different” in their year old Buick and Nissan truck. Hurray for driving fun!!
2022-11-20
5. Love the everything about y’all from YouTube to Amazon prime to the podcast - I’m local where y’all are at! I love listening to ppl in my local area! And you all share the same love for all cars that I do. I listen to multiple random episodes a day. I watch all your channels follow all your guys trips. I wouldn’t survive work if wasn’t for this podcast! One day I plan joining y’all on one your guys yearly trips!! Keep it up!!!
2022-11-13
6. Episode - Another reminder as to why I started following your channel. Just a couple of guys that love cars. I recommend the podcast to anyone that might be considering a new purchase or anyone with any kind of sign of interest in cars. I appreciate the redefining of what it means to be an auto enthusiast and knocking down any barriers that might prohibit someone from enjoying what they’re driving. I love the willingness to approach delicate subjects with an open mind. And I appreciate the realistic car-buying advice that any enthusiast can relate to.
2022-10-05
7. Best car Podcast hands down - I have been a faithful listener since I discovered the Podcast a few years back. Truly enjoy how genuine “the guys” Todd and Paul are. I become instantly drawn into there conversations / debates and am always left wanting to hear more at the end of each podcast. I also love both of their YouTube channels and hope to join them on future car adventures. Cheers to the guys and the whole team!!
2022-09-28
8. Your Car Friends - Paul and Todd do an awesome job. It really is like listening to friends discuss how real cars can get the job done while being fun. This is by far my favorite podcast. Car shows usually either drone on about unattainable cars or bore you to tears about the latest appliance. This is real world advice for enthusiasts who want to have fun in the real world while still going to work, getting the kids to school, and making Home Depot runs. Todd and Paul have the conversations real life enthusiasts have. Which car should I buy? What fun car stuff can I do?

1. Best Podcast in my Collection - Dork-o-Motive Podcast is literally the best, most informative, most fun podcast I’ve ever listened to, and I’ve listened to a lot. Brian gives us the history on things we otherwise would have never known anything about, and he does it with a passion you won’t find anywhere else. I like several podcasts, but I LOVE Dork-o-Motive.
2022-11-27
2. One of the best podcasts - Great stories about transportation history. Hoping there will be another episode on mixing aviation with the car. Maybe before the jet car. Like cars in the early ’s with Merlins. The heavy equipment episodes are great too. Thanks Brian for all the hard work you have done!
2020-05-19
3. Amazing - If you’re a gear head or a petrolhead or a fan of engines and horsepower you need to give this a listen. Brian Lohnes is an announcer for NHRA too fuel and a fantastic story teller. He has unearthed the rare and fantastical side of Autorama and all things engine here for you and me. Cannot recommend this podcast enough.
2020-05-07
4. Stars! - Stars. I’ve been a follower of Brian’s Instagram for some time now and always take the time to look for and read all of his post to get my fill of knowledge on racing and other cool pieces of history usually involving some sort of mechanical engineering. This is awesome that he put the time into making his vast knowledge a podcast. Also heard about this from the truck show podcast. Yeah buddy!

Comments
1. Needs a producer - Very knowledgeable group super committed to the cause but his podcast should be half the length. Podcast desperately needs a few elements - a producer to build a rundown and keep the group concise and on track and a host that is better suited to introduce segments and keep the show moving.
2023-02-16
2. Disappointing comment about bees! - This Podcast is great and all writers/participants are very knowledgeable. Lots of excellent information. I listen to it every week. However, one of you guys made a very disappointing and ignorant comment about bees. We all know how hard these little guys work and how much we humans benefit from it. Please reconsider and I’ll gladly give it star rating.
2022-08-30
3. Great info. Not real truck guys though. - I like the information shared and will keep listening. I wished that they had a real truck guy to explain the new truck EVs coming to market. For someone who’s owned and drive large trucks my entire life it’s hard to hear some of the reviews and comments. Would like it to move along a little faster and be a bit more organized. I wish information moved along faster. It’s painful at times to listen to them fumble around of what to say. More organization in the topics and info shared between them all would be nice.

4. Usually great, June rd not the best example…. - Typically this podcast is great, I love Martin, Tom and Kyle, and Dom is great if he can be the host… but if everyone is gone, plan to bring in guests or something. The June rd show was a tough listen, it put Martin in a terrible position to have to carry the show, then they brought in a couple of people from the comments section to try to help.

5. Solid EV podcast - Dom needs a different role - Absolutely love this podcast and mostly look forward to each week’s episode and bonus shows. But my god sometimes Dom is impossible to listen to. Kyle and Tom are always on their A-game but Dom never feels prepared or well informed. It’s so painful to hear, much like other reviews have documented, but Kyle and Tom more than make up for it and often have to course correct.
2022-04-01
6. Great resource - Great podcast with lots of up to date info and news on the EV industry. Every episode I listen to I find myself learning something new or understanding something a little better. I appreciate these guys aren't brand fanboys but present their own thoughts based on facts and their expertise.
2022-03-20
7. Fun show that needs a new host. - I listen pretty much every week and Kyle, Tom and Martin are all informed and personable. The host, Domenick, is uninformed and has the personality of a shovel. Make Martin the host and just replace Dominic with whoever you can find off the street. Hosting abilities aside, Domenick and everyone else seem like nice guys.
2021-11-15
8. Good but... - Informative, hands-on advice and knowledge. I feel like I can take this info and use it for buying and operation of my EV. Some observations about presentation:
Martin doesn’t get the chance to speak enough. Domenick is difficult to understand particularly with his halting-burst of words delivery. Makes the podcast VERY difficult to listen to. Seems knowledgeable but definitely needs refinement or replacement w someone who has a smoother style—particularly as a moderator. Maybe have Martin and Domenick switch roles?

A twice weekly automotive podcast hosted by Adam Carolla, Bill Goldberg and Matt "The Motorator" D'Andria. It's the only show of its kind that explores all aspects of the automotive space from the performance aftermarket, to new car buying and the future of the automotive industry. The guys answer your questions, offer advice and feature guests from the automotive industry and celebrity car enthusiasts.

1. Title doesn’t matter - A lot of ads, and the title says Acura Integra but there were mins of taking about a transmission. Then when they get to the title. Adam poo poos the car without driving it says the last thing he liked was a crx from the s. Is this pod just him thinking he’s better than his listeners.??
2022-10-09
2. Matt n Adam n Bill - Matt is a Mustang guy so he offsets Adam being so overwhelmingly biased against American car brands that it’s painfully obvious Adam knows very little about. I wish Matt would stick up for American brands more. I’ve come to realize that unless it has something to do with old Nissans/Datsun s or the occasional Porsche then Adams not as much of a car guys as he likes to think he is. The episodes with Goldberg are becoming just a long advertisement for Dodge and him bragging about his many Mopars. Avid listeners know the real star of this show is Matt. On Goldberg/Dodge weeks he tries to balance Bills obnoxious Dodge obsession with other makes. Having Alistair Weaver on is always good because it gives Matt someone to talk to about something besides those old, overweight, terrible handling Dodges. When Adam is cohost Adam does most of the talking. Maybe sometimes he shouldn’t. Matt does a good job of covering for Adam when he says things any car guy knows is wrong. I also enjoy Matt’s other podcast Shift and Steer. Brad Fanshaw and Aaron Hagar along with Matt cover a wide range of automotive topics.
2021-11-05
3. Skip the Goldberg episodes - I really like the show but I now skip the episodes with Goldberg because it just feels like a min Dodge love fest (I know Dodge is a sponsor but we’re not all Mopar only guys). Matt tries to steer it back but doesn’t always work. Stick to the Adam and Matt shows as they keep the show well rounded and any show that has Alistair Weaver is a must listen. Great insights from Mr Weaver.
2021-05-11
4. Matt needs to go away - Adam is interesting to listen to. Matt is a what real car people call a faker , repeating over and over the same info he heard or read on multiple podcasts is very annoying. Listening to him try and set up a “ shop “ is very amusing. It’s a playhouse , not a shop. A shop is where qualified people actually work on vehicles, not a storage facility for vehicles that are shuffled around shop to shop for upgrades . All talk , no action. Get a real car guy for a sidekick and this pod would be awesome.
2021-03-01
5. Wednesdays Goldberg zzzz Fridays for millionaires - Goldberg is the worst host. It’s like a hr Dodge ad. Friday with Adam and Matt really took a dive. We don’t need another car show for millionaires only. Don’t care about the new Bugatti or a weekly update on a $ million Porsche or whatever. I thought this was a car show about fixing, upgrading and driving semi normal cars. That is min per show if we are lucky.
2021-02-27
6. This could be better. - I used to listen to every minute of this pod, now I fast forward through a lot of it. I don't listen to the Wednesday show if it is just Matt D'Andria and Goldberg. Goldberg on the phone with just basic info doesn't interest me. If Alistair Weaver is on, the pod is a Star show. He is great at this with interesting information. When it is Adam and Matt, it is mostly a radio show with commercials that has cars as the background subject. I still listen every week though.
2020-08-22
7. Enjoyable Overall, But Way Too Much Advertising - The show is pretty good and a regular in my podcast rotation… but first let me tell you a little about Geico. And then a little later about Tommy John … and don’t forget Dodge… really the sponsor plugs without transition are annoying and frankly jarring at times. For example, one of the hosts will seem to queue up a point about the car or subject at hand but it will be a random timed plug for one of their sponsors. Hearkens back to when some radio programs would have hosts seamlessly present a news topic and then plug an advertiser offering. Real negative. In addition to all this, there are standard advertisements not read by hosts. A lot of ads! That out of the way, the car content and dialogue especially when delivered by Carolla is very good and engaging. Matt’s taste in vehicles and motorsports align well with mine; and (unsurprisingly) he’s a fantastic and entertaining storyteller and observer of people. The rest of the crew (D’Andria and Goldberg) are fine enough, though tastes in vehicles diverge from mine (muscle cars are great, but personally have no interest at all in any truck projects like the long-running Ford Lightning effort…really don’t get it). Alistair Weaver from Edmunds is insightful whenever on, with very relevant and engaging discussion.
2020-04-24
8. shows - Amazing podcast but please separate the shows. I don’t mind mopar but I am not a fan of the dodge heavy shows. Goldberg doesn’t have time for anything not dodge which limits the back and forth about cars he don’t like or is brand competition. Matt is the JB Weld that holds the show together. Adams observations of people are hilarious. Still both amazing shows. But please separate.

Part of the Hagerty Podcast Network, the Carmudgeon Show is a comedic, information-filled conversation with Jason Cammisa and Derek Tam-Scott, two car enthusiasts who are curmudgeonly beyond their years. Proving you don’t have to be old to be grumpy, they spend each episode talking about what’s wrong with various parts of the automotive universe. Despite their best efforts to keep it negative, they usually wind up laughing, happy, and extolling their love for cars. Which just makes them angr...

1. Excellent Podcast for Car Enthusiasts - The dynamic duo do not fail to provide insight into automotive history and the aspects of vehicle design which form an informed basis for taste car collecting and driving. I grew up around old cars and have always owned cars I considered fun. These two have provided the vocabulary and technical intuition to describe the things I like about cars.
2022-11-14
2. Best car podcast - Love this show. I learn something every time I listen to you guys. I really like hearing about industry insights and regulations. As enthusiasts we sometimes scratch our heads why cars do the things they do and don’t realize that regulations are behind those quirks. I would love more of those topics. It helps me see the cars in a different light. Keep up the good work! Please don’t ever censor yourself in anyway. It’s what makes the show great.
2022-10-03
3. Best Automotive Podcast! - I absolutely adore the Carmudgeon show with Jason and Derek! I’ve known and loved Jason’s work for a long time and have also come to enjoy and appreciate Derek’s expert opinion on this show. Their knowledge of the automotive landscape is unmatched and the conversations on this podcast are fascinating, often philosophical, and don’t often focus on the same old topics or reviews as other podcasts. I would highly recommend this show to any car enthusiast.

1. Uncharacteristically knowledgeable - You guys know so much about vehicles, I spend a few minutes after every show just letting things sink in. I work on not only my vehicles, but friends and family. I have never been officially trained in any of it. You guys help my mind set and make DYI car repair so much easier. Thank you for all you do. I hope you guys keep doing this for a LONG time to come.
2022-05-10
2. Great show, but.. - It’s a great show, but I don’t know about America’s favorite car talk show. The information is great and the show is easy to listen to but the hosts don’t have the same character and ability to play off each other like Tom and Ray. With that being said, I still listen every week. Keep up the great work guys.
2021-05-27
3. Irksome sometimes - I listen to every podcast episode. I like the show. Having said that, sometimes, I get upset at what seems to me to be Shannon’s lack of formal education. I just listened to and episode where a caller had an Aveo, that would crank, but not start. Shannon told him to check the fuel pressure. Shannon said that you can get a fuel pressure tester for very little money or that some places will “ borrow you one.” I just could not believe that he just said “borrow you one”. It’s LOAN you one!
For someone so successful, to speak in such an ignorant, uneducated manner is appalling to me. P. S. No one on the show can properly pronounce the word catalytic, in catalytic converter.

4. A must listen podcast - Really enjoy the common sense approach to vehicle repair. I am a retired Semi Tractor and Medium Duty mechanic that had my own shop for years. Some of their answers to these category of vehicles is vague and not best but they seldom get any heavy duty questions. It is permissible and valued to just tell the caller that is not in their wheelhouse of experience and tooling and diagnostic equipment. I don’t know squat about light duty pickups and cars but enjoy their knowledge about them no matter brand or vintage. Sometimes Chris is annoying. Russ and Shannon are good wholesome people.

5. Very educational and entertaining - I listen to Under the Hood podcast episodes through iTunes. Mostly when I'm software testing away at my day job. Really enjoy the content and the answers to the questions. I'm a hobbiest mechanic so hearing the problems that come up and trying to answer it myself before the guys do is always fun. Usually we're along the same lines. It's awesome that they share their experiences and stories with us.

6. Best Podcast - When riding from South Dakota to Michigan in the back of a Subaru Brat, I grip the handles and binge listen to Under The Hood. As my body goes numb, I am convinced that I am in the studio, wait even better, in the garage with Russ, Shannon and Chris. It isn't clear what Chris is doing, but he is there. Russ is guiding my every move, as we diagnose, discuss, and finally repair my off-brown Ford Ranchero... the one I really want for sale up in Brookings. Shannon is analyzing a new business model to focus Nordstrom's exclusively on Brats, Bajas, Rancheros, El Caminos and, why not, Trans AMs. Is this a review? Yes! Please download every episode of Under The Hood... listen or re-listen to every episode without a break, other than brief pauses for water, bread, snowmobiling on ice, and perhaps a family vacation in Alaska, then write your own -star review, smile, and think without speaking, "I get it"... notice how your head gently and positiely nods.

7. Used to be better - I've listened to the show for years and always enjoyed it. Then, starting a year or so ago, it turned into a talking match between the hosts. Its hard to hear and hard to enjoy when all three of you insist on talking at the same time. Sadly, most of the time the 'overtalk' adds nothing to the actual car problem. Deleted it from my list of podcasts.
2018-11-19
8. One of the Best Podcasts ever! - This is a wonderful show full of great knowledge as well as a dose of fun. It is family friendly and very well thought out. Russ and Shannon bring a wide variety of knowledge from many different areas of the Auto industry. Try it once and you will be a Hoodie for life! Don’t forget to like them on Facebook they even answer questions there as well. Russ went out of his way to help me with an ABS question Thank you guys!

1. Love the new Addicts podcast! - Gents, you’ve hit a home run with the new format and topics. The easy banter between you is exactly as when my friends and I share a beverage after a day of wrenching on our race cars in the shop: friendly, slightly controversial, often pointless and totally important at the same time. Keep it up!

2. Scratches a serious itch - Who knows how small the Center section is in the Venn diagram showing overlap of automotive enthusiasts, intellectuals, and lovers of witty and well crafted repartée. If you’re that odd individual in that overlap, or even if just two of those three criteria apply to you, rush, don’t amble, to this podcast. It scratches a serious itch in these pandemic times, but I bet you I will be still listening to it once the vaccine is out and we can carry on with life as normal. From thoughtful and provocative dialogue on subjects like electrification, the limits of usability and supercars, two interviews with true giants in the field, this podcast showcases the presenters wide wide range. It’s a delight. Update now that Collecting Addicts is in full swing: What sort of person looks forward to listening on Sunday mornings (which is when I get through the podcast each week, before, after and occasionally just a little bit during church) to five middle-aged men go on about travel sweets for many minutes at a time? Me sort of person it turns out. Harris says “m’learned colleagues” as a joke but in fact that’s exactly what they are: learned in petrol-head topics, learned in language and raconteurage, and learned in being real men, full human beings open to all sorts of experience and emotion. For this Yank, it’s like flying from today’s America to Ireland from the east coast: a quick easy trip to a place inhabited by sane adults.

3. Awful Name, Brilliant Listen - If you’re a fan of automotive astuteness, friendly F facts, tearjerking tastes of times gone by — this one is for you. Brilliant assemblage of absolute professionals from across the industry sharing ideas, opinions, and stories with each other. Like sitting around the table at the pub with your best mates talking cars. Now to fix the name, because “Collecting Addicts” ain’t great….

4. Just excellent - One of my favorite podcasts automotive or otherwise. Chris has such a talent for finding the most interesting stories. His interview style clearly puts his guests at ease and allows them to talk so openly and personally. Chris is such a genuine person and such a skillful journalist. Very glad to find he is doing podcasts again after taking a break.

5. Quality is embarrassing - Christ , Chris as a broadcaster and one that deals with digital media you would think your recording equipment and quality is up to par. It’s abysmal! Every time I agonizingly listen to your podcast I have to blast the volume to barely have it at a reasonable level. Sounds like I’m listening to a call on speaker. For the love of god please address this issue and or your equipment.

6. Dream Podcast - For me this is a dream come true!!! I’m an American and I have been Following Chris since he started on YouTube. Maybe it’s my British roots but I have always been a fanatic for British automotive culture. Listening to Chris geek out with some many automotive hero’s of mine has been amazing!!!

7. The best podcast for high quality car conversation.. - Whether it’s a wonderful hours with Nicky Grist, memories and perspectives with Martin Brundle or a fascinating introduction to Richard Tuthill, this is always great output. Chris and Edward make an entertaining, expert team. Fantastic also to be able to put a voice to many of the motoring writers i grew up with. Thanks. One to look forward to.
2020-04-29
8. Insightful and Honest - Chris has always been a very forthright character, whether on YouTube while drifing a car, Drive on NBCSN with Spinelli and Farah, on the Smoking Tire podcast, or in this format, with old mates having a sit down and recalling old stories of the industries they've been in. I'm very pleased that the podcast doesn't cross over much with the site it's related to, and that the episodes are frequent enough to keep me checking back.

1. Terrible EV reviews - These people have no knowledge of EVs and the metrics, technology, and numbers that matter in making a purchasing decision. Listen to Inside EVs Weekly Podcast for people who actually know what they’re talking about. Either the hosts of Talking Cars/CR have been paid off by ICE interests or more likely they haven’t put any effort to learn about how EVs work and how to review and analyze them. Absolutely terrible.
2022-10-02
2. Very valuable, no ads, supported by donatations - This podcast is incredibly informative. About a huge number of car-related things, like the buying process in a supply-chain disaster or how these much-ballyhooed driver assistance features actually work in testing. (You know, the feature people are lulled into assuming will drive their cars for them, which then runs them into firetrucks?) The variety of presenters is really nice. I like the regular guys but it’s really nice to hear from the lady engineers.
2022-07-03
3. Need better audio equipment. - Long time listener since the beginning. But the show production quality has suffered in the pandemic as recording has gone to their houses. The sound quality among the hosts are inconsistent which is distracting. Why can’t they all upgrade by getting the best quality microphones using their own CR database?
2021-12-29
4. You’re not a doctor. - I’ll keep listening just to see if Emily is ever able to speak without including “so” or “um”, or without giggling mid-sentence when nothing is funny. Her manner of speaking is very sing-songy, but most younger females seem to talk this way. The whole group is very nanny-state in their views also. Cover everyone in bubble wrap, lower the speed limits, and don’t innovate any controls because it’s too hard to learn new things.
2021-09-21
5. An OK Podcast - The podcast is ok I especially like Gabe and Jennifer but there is one guy I think Mike who has a love affair with Toyota and can’t give an unbiased review. Every Toyota is the best even if everyone else is saying the particular model stinks. Hard to take... I think every car manufacturer has hits and misses so when no matter what it is great I tune out. I still love the Best of Cartalk makes me laugh every week.
2021-01-01
6. Fantastic! - I have been listening to this podcast for about a year now, and I absolutely love it. I like how it keeps me up to date on the cars for consumers, not just the fancy and outrageous cars that never make it out of the auto show. I don’t really mind the tone of the hosts voices, and I don’t judge them for it because they can’t control it. It is basically a show by car nerds, for car nerds, about nerdy car stuff. If your looking for a podcast that talks about family and sports car a like, in detail and depth, and talks about the pros and cons of each vehicle, look no further!

7. Helped me learn so much! - About months ago I started looking for a car to get my parents. I didn't know anything about cars so I wanted to do research to make sure I got them the best thing for them. This podcast (and consumer reports online) helped me learn so much so quickly! I also really appreciate the different personalities on the show and the rotating hosts. Thank you CR for providing such a wonderful service!

8. Such an Awesome Podcast! - Absolutely LOVE Talking Cars. Makes understanding the ongoing abyss of technical innovative automobile evolution so much easier to understand. As a female, I can feel confident in buying cars, tires, etc. Thank you all for the hard work you put into your show. Always look forward to each episode.

1. Great Podcasting for Motorcyclists - Love to listen every week to this and the RAW show they do. I think Jim is a closet psychologist and really asks some probing questions of his guests. He really gets into the motivations, fears, joys etc of the guests not just the facts and experiences. Jim’s very knowledgable on almost all things motorcycle and travel. I love to jump on my bike and put on the latest episode.

2. Thank you - Hello Jim I found your podcast a few months ago. And I love it I listen to every episode now. And I wanted to say thank you for the rider skills segment especially. I am pretty new to the adv riding and I use the tips from your podcast every time I go out riding. So thank you again Jim and I look forward to more shows.

3. IMS Foot pegs - Jim I ordered a new set of ims pegs for a ktm super adv the representatives at ims ask if i would take some pictures of my existing factory pegs for comparison to help with R and D and they would discount the new ones …nice!! So after sending several pictures the ADV’s were selected during the back and forth emails I was asked how I heard about them well of course I said ARR the best podcast on adventure riding there is!!! And to my surprise when i got my invoice on the pegs there was another % off for being a ARR listener….Sweet!! Thank you love the show. Tim Covington North Carolina

4. Simply The Best! - Jim & Elizabeth have put together simply the best Adventure Rider show imaginable. I appreciate the variety of topics, episodes, and guests. The show is deeply informative with its Rider Skills episodes as well a entertaining and riveting with the stories and interviews of travels from all over the globe. The technical quality is fantastic and consistent. It’s by far one of the best produced and widely informative I have found yet. Keep up the terrific work!

5. Fantastic motorcycle podcast - I absolutely love listening to Jim's podcast when I'm driving in the car or working on my bikes. He provides excellent information on products and riding techniques mixed with some awesome real life stories. Thanks to Jim and the crew that puts this on - I'm always looking forward to the next episode.

6. Adventure Motorcycle Industry Leader in Podcasts - I find the Adventure Rider Radio and Adventure Rider Radio RAW podcasts the most entertaining, useful, professional, and the shows that I most look forward to listening to each week/month. Jim also has a great manner about the way that he interviews his guests. Outstanding job, thank you for your selfless service to the motorcycle and travel communities and please keep them coming!

7. Must listen if you like motorcycles and travel - Great show with an excellent combination of episodes that cover topics covering stories from the road, industry experts, rider skills and more. The show is fresh and interesting every week and really makes you just want to get out on the road (or trail) and explore

8. Inspiring guests - The only thing I don’t like about this show is that it makes it even tougher to go to work on Monday instead of hitting the road. Jim is a patient interviewer who ask terrific questions...really fun to listen to him open up stories his guests sometimes didn’t even know were there.

2. Best podcast PERIOD for petrol heads - If you’re an automotive enthusiast and want to learn from educated people at the top of their field, THIS is the podcast for you. Despite covering very advanced topics as well as the basics, they always take the time to slow down and explain things so that even beginners like me can understand them. I deeply cherish this podcast and big props to everyone who puts it on. Cheers

3. Podcast for Car People - There are few automotive centric podcasts and some have a hard time really catering for the guys looking to learn something or getting any value out of them, not HPA! this show interviews people with vast and prestigious backgrounds in automotive and motorsport, every episode i have listened to i had learned something that i can apply to my own build and work mindset. The episodes go into how and why builders/tuners/drivers do what they do and what they have learned along the way, they are also names you know or have heard of so definitely the wealth of information is something you wouldn’t want to miss regardless of your place in the car world

4. Hands down the best automotive podcast. - As a performance car enthusiast, I’ve been subscribed to High Performance Academy’s YouTube channel for years. It’s not only been incredibly entertaining, but also highly educational. When they released their podcast, I had the same experience: I loved it immediately. Their content gets right down into the nitty gritty technical details, and they don’t assume listeners have an advanced base knowledge, so they explain everything in a very easy to understand way. Top notch quality, presenters, format…etc. If you love learning what goes into making cars work and go fast, you’ll love this podcast.

5. What I’ve been looking for! - I’ve been looking for a really technical Motorsport podcast! It’s awesome and I love it!

1. Love the Truck Show Podcast - Hi Lightning and Holman, I really enjoy the podcast, with all your quirky jingles and of course the gal with her PARAMEETERS. I like your insights and I hope you guys have much success going out into the scary world on your own. Hey Lightning have you heard … I gave you guys a five star review. Again, wishing you much success on your new endeavors. Matt Lee Neosho, Missouri PS. I am so jealous of Holman’s . I have a Gladiator and wish they would produce a version, or even a xE. But I love my truck, even with the minivan engine!!!

2. Favorite podcast - Lightning and Holman, all I can say is thank you. Been listening since episode or roughy. Just got a new work iPhone, and had to leave another stars, right back at ya review. I wish you both so much luck on the new beginning. Talk about exciting! I understand the challenges of a small business, and I think you two will kill it this round with your experience and sage wisdom that comes with age, at least some age. A searchable catalog of products and brands that have been on the show in the past would be super helpful. Bring back the Bilstein and the Toyo guy! I could listen to them get in the weeds all day long. Gale is a national treasure. He’s another one that I can listen to all day long. I’ll put Holman and Lightning in that category too. I have one thought around the “Tow-a-sode” I kind of doubt you’re going to get a representative from a manufacture of whatever to speak on the subject. Strictly from a liability standpoint. But, why not get a hand full of people with tons of experience with the subject. Like maybe a SMITH system safety trainer. Or some truck drivers that done lots of it. I’ve towed everything from farm wagons hauling hay, cattle trailers, to cargo haulers, to gooseneck flat beds, to dual trailer milk trucks on in a previous job. I still hold an unrestricted CDL with all endorsements except hazmat and passenger bus. It would be some work for you guys to figure out who would be good enough to put on the podcast, but I think that would be may be the most educational way to go. Get four or five individuals with a wide range of experience from large to small. Most of the basics and concepts are the same. It all revolves around being safe and starting and finishing the day with the shiny side up. How everything is loaded, road conditions, and knowing your equipment are the biggest keys to success in towing. Good luck to you both! I’m excited to experience the next season of what truck famous can bring!

3. Please Advise - I hope this message gets to someone who can help or advise me. The Last year and / has been the hardest time of my life. Maybe it’s a test but maybe it’s just my luck. I have been watching you guys since the diesel brothers days. I know that you guys know your stuff! Dave I’m in a huge bind. I don’t know if I’m crossing the line to ask for advice or help. During Covid I lost my business and my home and while laying in a hospital bed for months with a broken neck and back, my wife of years served me with divorce papers. I lost everything! I was a volunteer police chaplain and I pulled a guy out of a hole and broke my neck and back. My department didn’t back me because I deployed myself. This has Changed my life forever.
I was a gang outreach pastor for the last years. While in the hospital, I lost my home, and business, and then all my things were put in storage and stolen, and I couldn’t pay the storage, so I lost over $, in tools and contracting equipment, That I had for my business. I am in an RV and can’t afford the payment on it and may loose it too but I am trying my best, because I lost my ability to work. I just started walking again but with some difficulty. I am on full disability now at $. a month and, thank God, I have a friend who is allowing me to park my RV in her back yard because I can’t even afford a place to park it in California, I have a f . diesel and I owe money on it too, and it may be repossessed if I can’t change something soon. But I have , miles on it and am having fuel pump problems. The dealer has my truck and I can’t afford to replace the whole fuel system. I don’t know what to do. I am asking you for your advice because I trust you as a person of integrity and the knowledge. Please whoever gets this message please pass it on to Dave. I don’t know what else to do except give up. I have been through almost dying from obesity, and getting that problem taken care of. Then liver cancer and months of radiation, then a motorcycle accident and back surgery, then being paralyzed and loosing everything including my wife and business and home. It’s Christmas and I can’t afford to let my kids gifts, and now my truck is broke down and I don’t trust these dealers. I brought it to them several times before my warranty was expired and they just kept putting me off. You probably get ’s of requests for help, and I understand if you don’t have time to respond or advise or help me. I’ve included some pictures so that you don’t think I’m lying about my life experience. The dealership is quoting me like ,. And I don’t have $ to my name. Please advise or help or pray for me image.jpeg

4. Funny, Fun and Informative!!! - Gotta love this refreshing new take on getting the latest word in the world of trucks! Lightning and Holman are great and they’re bringing “live” interviews that you’re not going to get anywhere else! What surprises await in the next episodes?? I guess we’ll just have to wait - to hear! In the mean time, I enjoyed the first episode twice once on a plane flight, the second, in the garage with my brother-in-law while installing a new light bar behind the front fascia of his Tacoma. What better time to listen to - The Truck -Show!!

5. Awesome Podcast!!!! - Hey Holman and Lightening!!!! I only say it that way to get on Lightenings nerves. Thanks for all the great content. Long time listener first time reviewer. In N Out & the Lord’s chicken are . Maybe it’s the California pompous. Anyhow, keep mountering those parameters and doing the Lord’s work! -Jake

8. New truck market? - Solid show guys, thanks for being goombas but not goons. I’ve been waffling on a Jeep Galdatior since they first came out. Have a cummins for heavy hauling n big truck stuff, but conflicted on if the price will ever come back down or if the market will open back up again without folks paying over sticker price. Do either of you guys have any . on if a guy should hold off for another year or if this is just the new normal for new cars. Thank you much!

1. Trucks trucks trucks!! - Love the podcast and YouTube channel, I appreciate all your insight and input on all models, plus the fact you focus on value and utility. I do have a question, about half way through the podcast it stops and restarts at about the minute mark and repeats a segment you already covered??
2022-12-18
2. Driver autonomy - Still think these systems are going to cause more problems than they are worth. Longevity is an issue for one thing, having to be adjusted over the short term, then in inclement weather, including too much sun shine, they don’t work anyway. I have been using these systems in big trucks for awhile now, and let me tell you, I can’t imagine too many people like them or even use them. Always hitting buttons to disable, or altering buttons to shut systems off. I would love lane keep assist during fog or snow, it gets immediately disabled during either of these events None of these systems are worth, to me ,their benefits and I can only imagine keeping these systems long term.

3. Some of my favorite guys! - I enjoy TFL content across the board. I tend to find podcasts I enjoy and then stick to them like superglue and my enthusiasm towards TFL is an example of this. The guys all have something to share and they are honest, transparent and thorough journalists. I look forward to the varied content that accompanies me through the week. Keep it up, guys!

4. Always interesting and informative... - Very enjoyable conversational style.
Just listened to the first part of their podcast on where some car manufacturers are going wrong. I couldn’t agree more - particularly with their opinions on brands like Cadillac (that they should bring back nameplates rather than stupid unintelligible number text combinations). A consistently good listen.

5. Great podcast for people that actually USE a truck - I have been following TFL on YouTube for a few years and this is a great way to listen to their reviews while I’m driving. My favorite casters are Andre and Tommy. Most comments from casters share pragmatic insights. Why does Roman seem so unhappy???

6. Love the YouTube channel but the podcast may even be better - I gotta start by saying that the YouTube channel has always been great and TFL does a wonderful job of showcasing different tricks and educating us on their features. The collective knowledge of the hosts is incredible and they’ve taught me a bunch and answered a lot of my questions about certain things. That’s what they do best and I think that the podcast is an even better format for doing so. In visual mediums, they don’t have the luxury of being able to opine on topics for very long. In a podcast, they can take a bit more time to explore concepts further. I think that this is a great opportunity for TFL to take deep dives on subjects and so far they have been knocking it out of the park. I’m looking forward to more in the future.

7. When I can’t watch I listen - I’ve been a huge fan of the show for the last years all the channels they have are great to watch especially when your searching for a certain vehicle because - they have reviewed it.
And now I can listen on my way to work while I sit in traffic, this is amazing! My favorite YouTube channel is now available to listen at my convenience, finally some good news in all this craziness. Keep up the good work guys.

8. Finally! - Thanks guys for doing this podcast, I have a long commute every day and was always saying I wish you guys had a podcast. Was wondering if you guys could do an episode on like what your first trucks were and maybe what got you so into cars and trucks growing up. Maybe discuss some of your favorite years of particular trucks? Just some ideas but again this is awesome guys!
2020-03-27
9. / - I was just looking for pod casts the other day on here and out of nowhere you guys drop your first episode and it was awesome, and the nd just as good. Love learning more about trucks, towing, and such. Great YouTube channel, great podcast. Best thing to listen to while riding down the road in my F-!

Longtime Car and Driver editor Eddie Alterman thinks all cars are great, even the awful ones. But some cars, he says, transcend their "car-ness” and have a story to tell. On Car Show!, Alterman tells those stories. Stories of the vital cars — the ones that have changed how we drive and live, whose significance lies outside the scope of horsepower or miles per gallon. Because some cars are more than just a pile of metal, glass, and rubber. Some cars are rolling anthropology. Launches May 18, ...

Comments
1. Pretentious - For starters putting a podcast behind a paywall goes against the idea of a podcasts but that’s a larger philosophical debate. The host’s opinions are just kinda pretentious and uninteresting. He has a voice for the written word. Even when he’s excited about something his tone doesn’t really change. I find myself wandering off mentally where as other podcast are able to keep my attention.
2022-11-29
2. Helpful info - I am not a car person yet I still want to make smart purchases. This is educational with a point of view which helps sort through all the features and mechanics of today’s car offerings. I enjoyed the family car episode. Next up should be “what is the best car for your new teenage driver”!
2022-08-05
3. New favorite car podcast - It’s all about the story and Eddie does an exceptional job. He provides just the right amount of historical context and personal anecdotes to keep the topics interesting. My year old car indifferent mother was enthralled by the moon rover and minivan episodes. My favorite was the M pod. Thank you for the content.
2022-07-19
4. Disappointed - Well researched and well produced. Unfortunately the show cratered during the Corvair episode when it veered wildly into a libertarian ditch. “It’s not the car! It’s the driver!”
Right. Because had not Ralph Nader insisted on safer cars, the general public today would all be ready for LeMans. I had fears during the “nothing more American than a Jeep!” Episode, and they came true. Still, I have hope for this show. If the author can stick to “what cars mean” and not “what cars mean to me.”
2022-06-17
5. A Car Show for Everyone! - You do not need to be a car fanatic to love this show. Eddie has a an easygoing conversational style. It’s like listening to a friend wax poetic about America’s love affair with cars, how the automobile impacts who we are, and just really entertaining informative - and funny - stories. I can’t wait for more!
2022-06-17
6. I expect better from Pushkin - The Corvair episode was injected into the feed for another Pushkin show. The episode was so bad that I am taking a moment to search for the show and review it. The supposition is that car safety makes people drive worse. True, there is a well known principle that sometimes making things feel safer makes people act more reckless, but it does not always pan out that simply. Instead of putting together an interesting and informative show exploring whether or not car accidents per vehicle mile driven show whether or not car safety has made people more reckless, the host just bemoaned that you cannot buy unsafe cars like you used to and that the ABSOLUTE NUMBER of car accidents remains similar to when the Corvair was around. I expect much better than this from Pushkin.
2022-06-12
7. How this podcast failed me. - The Corvair episode was hot garbage. To acknowledge the truth of deaths per , nearly being cut in half by safety measures that the host seems to despise and then disregard that truth out of hand because the number of deaths is the same from the ’s then and go on to blame bad drivers (lack of training) is insane. Do you have a loved one who died in a car accident. Maybe they would still be alive if they were not stupid and had any skill as a driver. Come on. Gross.
2022-06-11
8. Boomer mentality - Just listened to the Corvair episode and it sounded like the ramblings of an hard headed old man. All Eddie did was moan and groan about how airbags and other modern safety features are unnecessary and blames safety standards on GMs downward spiral. You could at least elaborate on ways to improve driver education or acknowledge that in the US having a car is a necessity rather than just complain about how it’s bad that we encourage manufacturers to build safe cars.
2022-06-08
9. Repetitious Bloviating - Listened to the Jeep episode and that’s where I’ll stop. Eddie mentions “the $, price tag” a half dozen times as if that’s the going price for all wranglers. Too much jibber jabber about the and not enough about the lower-priced models which constitute the vast majority of wranglers on the road. Save your time and ears and move on to another podcast.

A weekly podcast tracking the transition from fossil fuel transportation to electric and the surrounding clean ecosystems. Hosted by Electrek’s Frederic Lambert and Seth Weintraub.
Release date: 2023-03-24
Comments
1. Very comprehensive - always timely. - Fred: “We are LIVE. Seth, how are you doing this week?” Seth: “I’m good”. Seth is always good. Not great, not bad, just good. … and that’s a good thing because the show is consistently interesting, full of timely information, and always a worthwhile listen. I enjoy the reviews on the test rides. I am a Tesla owner and yes, the show is Tesla forward but that’s the industry right now. No complaints from me, keep up the great work! BTW, if you listen for nothing else, then enjoy Fred’s attempt at pronouncing (butchering) names and cities. Always a good time.
2023-02-26
2. Solid EV info and analysis - I have been enjoying the show over the past several weeks and look forward to it each Friday. I appreciate the mix of technical info and discussion of the overall EV situation. I agree with the other commentor regarding politics… It’s part of the situation, has an immense impact on our transition to electric vehicles and must be taken into account and discussed.
2023-01-29
3. Love this show. - Great show, i look for it every Friday. I prefer shows with two hosts that can have a little banter. Regarding politics…. Uh electric car adoption is heavily influenced by it so… I mean if you just want a car review podcast, there are other shows for that. This show though talks about everything happing in the EV world.
2023-01-20
4. Disappointment after many years of listening - Disappointed in how these two hosts focus episode after episode on Elon. Every episode is about Elon and not electric vehicles and other products. The opinions of Elon has affected the hosts ability to run a productive and exciting show. This used to be a great podcast for many years but now there are so many better podcasts on EVs.
2023-01-02
5. Disappointing overtly bias journalism. - I used to really like Electrek, but the baseless hit piece on Fisker, one of the few makers doing the morally responsible thing and incporporating as much recycled materials as possible. Since I’ve been rethinking a lot of other articles I read from this source as well, and it all drips of bias. Electrek has a lot of foreign partners, and it seems they have allegiances to them that affect their “reporting”. If I wanted disingenuous stories meant to dishearten people, I’d listen to NewsMax…
2022-07-11
6. Needs better editing - I feel the podcast would benefit from better production values, such as editing out fillers and long pauses. In addition to that, consider hiring a voice coach. A good podcast to emulate is Ride The Lightning: The Unofficial Tesla Podcast. The host comes across as enthusiastic, but he is in control of his voice tone and cadence. I prefer a more subdued tone of voice, so I can listen at x. As of May , I can’t recommend this podcast to anyone, but I hope it continues to improve.
2022-05-31
7. Hit or miss - Some of the shows are really fun and enjoyable. When there is a new product for them to talk about you can feel the excitement but, when there isn’t anything for them to talk about they are grasping at straws. The episode I’m currently listening to has been minutes of the Elon sexual misconduct allegations. Sure I see a point in maybe mentioning it but, talking about it for minutes when this podcast is suppose to be able EV’s is a bit ridiculous. Please try to stick to the topic of the channel and not the personal lives CEOs of electric companies
2022-05-22
8. Like the news but too many petty comments - I want to like this show. I enjoy the news and opinions they have but both hosts constantly make snide remarks (usually against Tesla). Makes me feel they have a chip on their shoulders so I end up discounting what they say. If that’s how they want to run the show that’s fine. It’s not for me. Not sure why they don’t start their own EV company since they seem to always have the right answers.
2022-02-13
9. Good Enough - Audio quality is trash ripped from their YouTube livestream. Mostly just Fred and Seth skimming articles written in the past week. Fred seems to be out of touch with anything non-Tesla. Fred and Seth have to frequently disclose that they’re investors of individual shares of various companies - most reputable publications generally bar journalists from even doing this.

Comments
1. Classics? - The push of the classics channel ruined this for me, don’t they have their own channel? Also, Romins constant complaints whenever something happens that he doesn’t like should now be the law of the land so he’s not inconvenienced again is terribly small minded and holier than thou. Everyone else is great!
2023-03-16
2. Ugh - Pretentious, holier than thou , sanctimonious, whiners,, who allow their own political leanings to shine through, are all ways I would describe these “journalists.”. I don’t know many journalists who constantly have to remind their audience they are a journalist as you do. If you mean, journalists who provide their own opinion, and then name call people they don’t like, then yeah, I guess you are so called journalists.
2023-03-12
3. Why is it all about Classic Cars now??? - This podcast was way better before they completely switched to tfl classics podcast… I’m not here for classic cars. I’m sad to say I will no longer be listening to this podcast. TFL trucks has stayed true to their roots. Don’t get me wrong, I love Andre & Nathan! Tommy, Nathan & Andre have a great back and forth & overall vibe. whenever it’s Tommy and Roman though , I stop listening & delete the episode immediately. They’re pointless arguing are so cringe worthy & annoying I just delete the episode. & now that TFL car podcast is exclusively about classics, looks like I won’t be listening to what used to be one of my favorite podcasts. If you like nerdy classic car & egg talk, you’ll LOVE this podcast. It’s just not for me.
2023-03-07
4. Ads drive me insane - Overall a very entertaining show with awesome content. One massive problem, recently they’ve added Ads mid episode. Usually I have no problem with this as they need to make money somehow. However these ads are so abrasive, they are much louder than the regular episode volume which makes them always hurt my ears and startle me. They also have nothing to do with the content of the podcast? Lastly they interrupt the episodes multiple times randomly, there is no “ad break” or warning, just mid sentence interruptions. Very off putting and just make me dread listening as I am just waiting for the next random ear blast multiple times per episode. Please redo/remove these random ads as they have ruined the recent listening experience.
2022-11-10
5. Not sure what’s going on - I love the podcast but the editing is making it almost unlistenable. Large segments are repeating, ads are dropping in the middle of sentences only to be followed by a totally different segment and one of the episodes even ended by playing the last minutes of a complete different episdoe that aired a week later. A once in a while edit mistake is fine…but these are happening multiple times per episode. I have no idea what’s going on but I beg you guys to get a better editor.
2022-10-31
6. The negative, know it’s all ‘tude, :( - This is the first episode I’ve ever listened to and, holy smokes, one guy seems positive, interesting, enthusiastic and, the other guy is possibly the most negative person I’ve ever heard on a podcast. His know it all attitude is unfortunate. There’s so much to learn in the world and for a listener, a ton of negativity just makes me turn it off. For instance, of course celebrity on cars can be worth more money but in this guy’s opinion is absolute and small minded. DeLoreans are the first classic car people always buy? I’d say this is quite debatable. If you were perky and fun and cutting, great. Someone needs an attitude adjustment. Be grateful for what you have.
2022-09-04
7. Presentation Could Be Improved - I love the TFL trucks podcast, but this one is kind of hit or miss. Lots of good information, but the Tommy and Roman bickering really takes away from the show. Often the bickering and rants don’t even have anything to do with the topic at hand and they completely derail the show. Lately it has gotten so bad I frequently unplug from the show about halfway through. Again, the TFL trucks podcast is great, but this one could use a presentation change.
2022-08-22
8. stars but - I got into TFL during Covid and appreciated specifically Andre and Roman making the best of what they could on the new podcast. I still think Roman and Tommy are fantastic. I really enjoy how Nathan moves effortlessly from Trucks with Andre to Cars with Tommy. The only downside is I think Roman has lost his way. I don’t know if he is playing a “grumpy old man” character because he’s trying to reach a specific age group or prepper demographic but at this point I can’t even make it through episodes where he is featured. Tommy seems to do his best to keep him on the rails but you can see that it’s mostly hopeless. The strange thing is, when Roman does the video reviews or features with the other guys he is a totally different person. I give the TFL station stars for everything they do except for the TFL Talk’s with Roman. If the same Roman who does the videos started showing up for the podcast then it would be stars across the board.
2022-07-12
9. TFL CAR DEBATE. Good info if you self filter - I enjoy most of the program. I wish they would get to the points a little sooner. Tommy’s opposition and conflicting comments can be a struggle to listen to. It’s annoying when it sounds like a son and Dad bickering rather than a constructive back and forth. If your going to talk about “best car or Truck for …” then give some real input. Not an argument that doesn’t make sense. The arguments are getting worse and less real information is being shared. Guys…make a plan before you start the podcast.
