1. Great Information from Many Perspectives and Disciplines - Thank you for your work to bring some many different voices to this podcast! I love what I am learning from you and I appreciate the sensitivity you have for learners who are varied in skill and experience. Please consider child first language in the future. A child is a child first and primarily. Secondary is his or her special learning needs. “A child with a learning disability” rather than “an LD child”. Twenty years in education and my year old daughter brought this to my attention from her training at university. Thank you again for the impact you are making for the next generation of teachers and students! Well done!

2. Amazing Podcast! - Love the guests and how much research is done to let us teachers know what should be done in our classrooms (science of reading practices) instead of what is being mandated to be done (workshop models). Wish we now could get more time for science and social studies content to be given just as much press! Unfortunately these subjects are being pushed off because of time for reading and math focus. Maybe more with thematic units and interdisciplinary units. Thanks for podcasting!!

3. S-E: seeing through the eyes of a HS student with Dyslexia - How amazing is this episode!?! Wow! I work with students with a variety of abilities and challenges and would love to hear from more adults/teens to help us see through their eyes on how their disability directly affects them in a variety of areas, as well as how they’ve learned to find and build upon their strengths. This is a truly inspiring episode. Thank you for sharing!

4. Every episode has helped me grow as an educator! - Each episode had been x more helpful than any staff meeting or PD I’ve attended. The episodes leave me wanting more and thankful for the links so that I can continue to learn about the various topics that are discussed. I only wish my admin and colleagues would listen as well so that our school could grow together and understand the research.

5. Used to be good! - The first seasons were great. This last season is hard to listen to. The host always seems to be doing something else when the guest is talking and has a lag of response followed by a disinterested sounding “mmmm” or inserts a random “uh-huh” and “yeah” to try to cover for not actually paying attention. Also, there’s so much computer noise and clicking that needs to be dealt with. It’s very distracting and unprofessional. I wish the podcast was still as strong as it was in the beginning. I used to recommend people to listen to this podcast, but now I tell them only the first two seasons because it’s embarrassing to recommend something so poorly recorded and mediated now.

6. SOR start here - I am a first year first grade teacher. Graduated UC Irvine in with my MAT and started teaching bilingual learners during a pandemic all on Zoom. Summer before this, I started getting into SOR. This podcast is professional development. I’m obsessed! PD on the go, no-nonsense and diverse perspectives. This podcast is better than most books and workshops on the topic.

7. Flatulence of academics - Self absorbed academics inflated with debased coin of valuable content.
A podcast of specialized experts in reading which is amateurishly produced. So much money wasted on their research yet where is the yield? Don’t waste time. At least a reference is given to search elsewhere. Sad for their captives—the university students—$$$.

8. Pendulum in the right direction - In listening to the podcast I’ve heard repeatedly “teachers may be skeptical about change”. I think it’s quite the opposite. Teachers have known about the problems with the way in which we have taught decoding and comprehension for a long time. However our hands are tied with our curriculum. We are rated on our ability to implement the curriculum regardless of our personal beliefs. One of the biggest knowledge gaps I’ve experienced is having every student read different texts of their choice and then expecting students to all have the same academic outcome. Teachers did not invent the word facilitator of education. Textbook companies that have profited off of our students’ suffering have. Children need teachers who carve explicit academic pathways that engage students and drive their thirst for knowledge. To do this well we need vetted vertically aligned curriculum At least textbooks created equity.

9. SLP - Great podcast. As an SLP, I wish you would consider including an episode with and SLP like Jan Wasowicz or Pamela Snow. I think many teachers do not know that they already have professionals in their buildings that have completed coursework in phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, discource, etc. We can be a great resource for teachers.

10. Disappointed with the Willingham interview - I agree the titles should be listed by topic not author. So far I only listened to the Willingham interview and was disappointed. I hope I misheard him as saying balance literacy seems to have valid points and that conclusions drawn from research often have little implications for the classroom? I hope I misunderstood and no other teacher listening heard that message. I would love an interview with author Dr. Melissa Farrall about assessment issues related to literacy and language. I love her books and have heard her speak many times. Dr. Ken Pugh, Dr. Louisa Moats, and Dr. Guinevere Eden would also be great guests! Thank you for creating a podcast on this important topic!

11. Love it! Only one little detail missing... - This is an amazing podcast and a great resource for any educator that seeks to grow and strengthen their knowledge about literacy and reading. Every time I listen I gain a better understanding of my role as a teacher and the importance of teaching with the science of reading at the forefront. The only small detail I wish was improved (perhaps a bit silly) is how the episodes are labeled/titled. I wish they were titled by topic so they’d be easier to search through. I have an interest to listen to all of them at some point but if I was seeking a specific episode as a resource to share with colleagues or to remember for future reference- that small detail makes it extremely difficult to access. Just a thought from a very interested teacher

12. Thanks - I loved this podcast. Thank you for having a guest who addressed the challenge of teaching students who are in upper elementary, middle and high school who were never taught to read. Would like to know more about how to maintain strong teaching of these Tier students while still addressing their gaps.

Have you felt it? Something is rippling through humanity at this moment. It's a stirring... a longing... a remembering. A sense that we are more capable than we’ve been led to believe. We want to feel alive, not sedated.. but we've lost our way. We've traded a life intertwined with nature for asphalt and artificial lights. We've swapped natural movement for a sedentary existence. We've given up food from the earth in favor of food from the factory. We've sacrificed our traditional skillsets fo...

1. Love the topics - I love the range of topics covered on this show. She does a great job being thorough and is a good interviewer meaning she asks good questions. The sound quality is pretty good too. On some of the other homesteading podcasts I like to listen to, sound quality can be a short coming. One thing I would like to say is one of the guests on a December episode, the guy from Homestead rescue, didn’t have a clue what a hardiness zone was. I was floored by this. How can he help people with their homestead if he doesn’t know what they should and shouldn’t be cultivating, which is based on their zones? Once I heard that, I dismissed his ability to give advice and my phony radar went off. Has he never looked at a seed or plant magazine in his life? Odd. But that aside her guests are generally well vetted and they usually offer a helpful perspective. Thank you for making your podcast.

2. Real Title: I got rich from doterra multi-level marketing - I enjoyed the first few episodes of season , then it gets into straight episodes of when things really started to turn around for them. Multi-level marketing. Of course she likes to call it “network marketing”. Please, be honest about how you got where you are, what it’s really called, and all the people that get hurt lower down in MLM ponzi schemes. Yes, “it worked for me”, but look at what these schemes really do to people and society. I lost all respect and can’t listen anymore.

3. Homesteading as real life - I have so enjoyed the many podcasts from Jill. I feel inspired at the end of each episode because Jill uses the episode to educate me about how to live, what I would call, a more real life. I use the word real rather than simple because it is anything but. I feel like she has built for her family a foundation from which they can jump from but always remain weathered. She doesn’t say I have to have the same foundation, but she shows me how to create my own. In someways I think that is the definition of homesteading. Thank you for your time and I look forward listening for a long time to come.

4. Thank you, Jill - I love and appreciate Jill’s honesty, candor, and genuine presentation style. Jill shares her world and the reality of journeying through life on the farm as well as just growing as a person. I tell my daughter all the time that I feel so certain that if our lives intersected in real life we’d be good friends. . Thanks, Jill, for being a resource and advocate for REAL living.

5. Loved “free range kids” - Loved this episode! We ran totally wild - there was a creek & a river & our parents made sure we could swim & turned us loose to explore - we got into a few hairy situations but we handled it together & all grew up to be responsible, successful adults…and most importantly our sibling relationships are awesome despite us all growing up to do really different things (nurse, master teacher, cattle hauler & accountant). I see siblings that don’t get along & I can’t even wrap my mind around it & I think part of our tight relationship is from the bond we had being on our own a lot as kids! Thank you for this podcast!

6. Falseness and greed make for a sickening display - At first it was good, she had some tips for bread making and gardening that helped me tweak things, but eventually turns out the whole podcast is basically a doterra ad, all she cares about is starting business’ and selling stuff. I like to follow podcasts that follow the value for value system so I don’t have to listen to the constant selling- like Canary Cry Newstalk, now that’s a stellar podcast that isn’t pretending to be something they’re not. Some of the people she interviews are interesting, but you barely hear about her family, farm or homesteading it’s all about the normal citified version of business success. I was raised by a covert narcissistic mother with delusions of grandeur and a penchant to neglect her children for the sake of her own success and glory. Certainly not something I’d like to relive through a podcast that’s supposed to be about homesteading but is really not in the end… In my opinion homesteading is about family, provision, self sufficiency and sustainability. Not ice cream shops and MLM scum bag companies and “modern women” chasing their false gods. This woman has lost her way and the podcast is just pathetic once you get past the first season or two her personality and priorities change, or maybe she just shows her true colors. Don’t waste your time. PS the reviewer that said and work has got to be the stupidest person on earth, actual unbiased science has very much proven otherwise and if you comply you’re literally beyond brain dead. It’s time to wake up people. This is not the legitimate homesteader you were looking for, she’s just another false MLM-slinging city slicker personality who’s only focus is the almighty dollar. She should have aspired to be a lawyer or something by the way she acts, her true goals seem to be strictly monetary, she shows no true passion for farming and is on less acreage than most hobby farmers. What a huge disappointment and failure this podcast turned out to be.

7. Educational and fun - Jill’s podcast is one of my favorites to listen to. She is so knowledgeable and the episodes contain wonderful, useful information. At the same time, Jill is entertaining, hilarious, and someone you really want to be friends with. I’m often laughing out loud - and learning such great info! Jill, thank you for all the work you put into making this a great podcast.
2022-02-24
8. Easy to listen to - I stumbled upon this podcast from a suggestion in a small farm and sustainability social media group. I am a HUGE fan! Though I live in the middle of farm culture I don’t have many friends that grow and create. This podcast has given me an outlet to “nerd out” on, start my wheels spinning faster, and given me courage to do more hard but good things. Thank you Jill for letting us be a part of your life, and hearing about your experiences of growing your homestead and community!
2022-02-21
9. A True Inspiration - Jill brings so much to the table, both literally and figuratively! She really has done it all, and I’m so thankful to learn from her experience and wisdom as our family begins our homestead journey. She gives practical insight and advice on so many different valuable topics for beginner and experienced homesteaders alike, as well as those of us that are done confirming to systems that don’t work for us. It’s so encouraging that she has trail blazed this path and can now walk alongside us as we move towards self-sufficiency, resiliency, and investing in the work that’s worth doing on a homestead and more. Thank you Jill for all you do, God bless you and this community you’ve built.

10. Straw man arguments and talking about books she hasn’t read - I think it can be useful to hear perspectives from people with different beliefs, especially on topics they may have deeper knowledge of than you. But this podcaster admitted she had never read Betty Friedan’s book, but proceeded to talk about it anyway as if she had. She then set up her argument against a false idea of what Friedan was actually saying, a total straw man fallacy. I really hated that. It’s totally fine if you disagree with a book or an author, but you should not talk about something you know nothing about and have not read. I’m not here to listen to someone who does not know what they are talking about.
2022-02-07
11. Too much erroneous talking! - I’ve tried to listen a few times to this podcast, but the erroneous tangents are just too much. Also the poor sound quality is off-putting. I love homesteading, real food and most of the topics on this show, but I’m going to search for a more concise, better sound quality podcast with a podcaster that stays on topic.

12. Audio - Love listening to this podcast while I’m working. I just wish the audio was consistent. Some days it’s great, but a lot of the times my headphones are maxed out as I can just hear it or barely hear it at all. :/ (ambient noise isn’t an issue for me) Edit: just tried to listen to your newest in the new format you’re trying (season episode ). And it really saddened me as I couldn’t understand what you were saying at all beside the intro. I really hope you re-upload it with better audio.
2022-01-25
13. Wow - Thank you for being real in a time where so much fake exists from feelings and emotions to governments. It’s absolutely refreshing to hear how genuine you are and how you aren’t scared to speak truth, educate others on so many subjects to create independence while building community, and basically giving advice on how to break from the status quo. I have followed you for the last two years on YouTube and am so thankful to have found your podcasts! I won’t lie, you’ve encouraged me, pushed me past my comfort zone, and, honestly, changed my life! Thank you

14. Informative- Sound quietly can vary - I enjoy this podcast. She’s very inflorescence and has a passion for educating and incoming others. My only negative comment is, there are some points in the podcast on which I can’t hear what she’s saying. I don’t know if it’s the microphone, echo, or mumbling. I only make this note so she can be aware and possibly make changes. Superb postcard otherwise!
2022-01-19
15. Enjoy the content, episode order on Apple podcasts annoying - I enjoy the content, however, the slight annoyance of having to scroll down through the whole season to get to the latest episode is cumbersome enough to keep me from listening consistently. I have a rotation of podcasts, the ones I find myself listening to the most have the latest episode as the first and top selection when entering the show page. There are more show hours available than hours in the day, so ease of access and checking in on new episodes becomes a deciding factor.

2. This show can help you reach your decluttering goal - I’ve been listening to multiple podcasts on Minimalism, and decided to settle on this one as part of my regular rotation. Deanna’s voice is calm and soothing and her information is very practical and useful. Her shows are not inundated with commercials and self-promotions. Highly recommend!

3. Very helpful show - I know this show is directed at moms, but as a college student this show has really helped me learn how I want to run my life as an adult. I feel lucky to have found it when I did and it has helped me build the skills to start adulthood in a happy, simple and productive way. Thanks!

4. A favorite! - I discovered this podcast a while back and listened to every episode. Deanna gives lots of great tips, has interesting guests and seems like such a sweet and kind person, there to offer support and cheer, not judgment! My house has some clutter, not loads, but I enjoy listening to the podcast especially while I’m cleaning. I find it very motivating. And the Wannabe Minimalist Facebook group is great, too! I hope there will be another challenge again soon because I found it to be so much fun and I got so much accomplished!

5. So helpful! - I just discovered wannabe minimalist yesterday and i am hooked. I can’t stop listening. Such a great vibe and i love the insights. I promptly joined the Facebook group and i can’t wait to keep learning and growing

6. Motivating! - My husband and I (and our five kids) all have ADHD and really struggle with clutter and overwhelm. We have been married for years and have way too much stuff. Recently I have been trying really hard to minimize the amount of stuff in our home. I just found your podcast yesterday and binged a bunch of episodes while filling bags to donate and one of trash. Thank you for the motivating pep talks! I especially loved the episodes about how to de-clutter a closet and how to organize your clothing and what to keep and what not to and also the episode about paper clutter.

7. Self diagnosed hoarder - I lost everything to a house fire when I was a fresh man in high school. When I became an adult and had adult money, I blew through every pay check buying clothes and “ things” . It’s been years on that path and it’s time for a change. You are helping me out by not getting stressed and not feeling like I’m a disappointment. Thank you

8. Fate. - The only reason that comes to mind when I think about why I began listening to this podcast would be “fate”. It truly came into my life when I needed it most. I am a mom of six children, my husband works long hours and I also have just started up my own business from home. I am always walking around with an infant on my back, toddler on my hip, preschooler tugging at my shirt, two elementary school girls arguing and a teenager trying to tell me how I can be a better mom. I was run down. I love this podcast. I listen to it in my kitchen while I get chores done, my car while I chauffeur kids to activities and in the shower at night when I need to unwind and wash the sweat off! I love that we share the same views and values, I love all of the wonderful tips she’s given - I just cannot get enough!
2022-08-09
9. Great podcast - This is one of my favorite podcasts. When I first discovered it, I binged most of the episodes. She has a great perspective on life, trying to be more minimal but allowing for life to get in the way. I listen to this one while I drive for work and clean the house. She has a comforting voice.
2022-07-16
10. A Minimalist With A FULL Heart - Deanna Yates is a gem! Her heart is to bring hope to moms who are wanting to pare down do they can “parent up” their children with their presence. Through her down-to-earth & uplifting manner, she makes her guests feel so at home which makes for great conversations that get to the essence of life as a mom. Moms will find encouragement and help by listening in & applying the gems here.
2022-07-16
11. Listen to this while decluttering! - I listen to many different podcasts and this is one of my favorites because it has helped me in my life and home. This host is not preachy at all and sounds more like a supportive friend who just happens to have a lot of wisdom on the topic of decluttering! I can tell that she’s “been there” and understands the struggles I’ve had with decluttering but her suggestions have really helped to motivate and inspire me. I respect that she’s a parent too and I enjoyed the episodes pertaining to parenting, decluttering kids’ stuff, and involving our kids in household chores. I enjoy listening to this podcast with my headphones on while I take care of household chores and decluttering tasks. It passes the time and helps me take care of the tasks with ease.
2022-07-06
12. Super practical and a great motivator! - I had already started my minimalist/decluttering journey when I found this podcast but it helped me take it a step further in such easy, bite-sized steps. I also just started Deanna’s Avalanche Decluttering Challenge and can’t wait to see the results in a month!
2022-05-13
13. Copying a more popular show. - I’m not saying this is a bad show, but compared to another show that it is clearly copying (like exact phrases that are kinda iconic are used) makes the show in bad taste. I would like this show if it was not using exact phrases, especially in the opening and farewell message, as the other show.
2022-03-22
14. Great to refer to - Love how personal she gets, appreciate the authenticity, really helps those of us with trust issues I’m moving in a little over a week from FL to CO with our three kids, two dogs, and caravan two vehicles. We’re moving into most likely a larger house, but decluttering is always a must. Looking forward to all the continuous help! Thank you so much D!
2022-03-06
15. Good practical advice - I am working to declutter my home and came across this podcast. I appreciate the practical advice she gives and stories she shares. I just listened to the holiday episode. It inspired me to be more intentional with my holiday decor using natural items and things with solid colors that can be used for multiple holidays.

9. Such a refreshing message - I enjoy informative homeschooling podcasts that give me ideas to implement in my home, and this is certainly one of those, but what I absolutely love about Leah is that she also gives me freedom and encouragement to put my own spin on things. I find it rare in the Charlotte Mason world to find an experienced voice willing to help while also acknowledging that “mother knows best.” Thank you for this gift!

12. Love love LOVE this podcast! - I found Modern Miss Mason only a few short weeks ago and I’ve been spending nap times since then catching up on all the episodes. There’s so much food for thought here, and Leah is a warm, intelligent, and well spoken host. Listening to these discussions is dusting off the cobwebs from my brain after many months of quarantine. And I especially look forward to the poetry at the end!

14. Peace - I listen to other talks and other podcasts and other people and I come away anxious and fretful and stressed about getting it all done and fitting it all in and using the right terminology when I speak to my children and so many other things, so I come here for peace, for encouragement, for freedom to just BE, and you never fail to deliver! Thank you that.
2020-08-09
15. Great for seasoned inspiration to just starting out! - I am so enjoying Leah’s gentle mentoring in the Charlotte Mason philosophy! Her slogan is Freedom and Fun, and she definitely exudes that! I am feeling both newly inspired and excited to hear new concepts. I love the breaks of poetry and prose!

1. I love this podcast - The opening music is calming and puts you in the right frame of mind for listening to interesting advice. The advice is always fresh and thought-provoking and comes from people who seem nice, and interesting. Zak, the host, is so likable—he just seems openminded, curious and fun. Because each episode is only a few or several minutes, I can always make time for it. Anytime I get an email announcing a new episode, I want to listen immediately. Can’t recommend it enough.

2. Like enjoying a special piece of chocolate - I’ve been listening to this podcast since the very beginning. When a new one comes up in my cue, I feel like someone has brought me a surprise treat! Just about every episode is delightful and thought provoking, and short enough to fit into any little gap in your day. But sometimes they’re EXTRA special, like the // episode at On Air Fest. It’s a good bit longer than most, but just PACKED with great snippets of advice on creativity. One of the best yet, Zak!

3. Favorite Way to start the day! - I love this podcast so much. Each episode is only a few minutes long and I look forward to listening in the morning. Tons of different advice, so any given episode could range from small topics to majorly important themes as we go through our lives. Zak is a wonderful interviewer and host.

4. Listen everyday - I actual listen to this podcast everyday... I’m not very good at being consistent but this podcast helps me to be better at it. It could be because each episode is so short but each episode does have good advices being given by others.. I totally love listening ...
Oh my gosh
I was surprised on Saturday to see an available episode.. now you say it’s was an accident.. kinda funny though!! Christmas Episode:
Loved ur letter to the year ..gave me a chuckle.

5. Such a delight - It took listening to a few to really get into this podcast but then I fell in love with it. There are so so many gems that genuinely have improved my life. I find myself sending episodes to friends and family all the time because it makes me think of them and it offers me a sweet moment of connection.

6. Perfectly Bite Sized Daily Reflection - Love this podcast! Such a great variety of really thought provoking pieces that make you reflect, balanced by sillier just for fun bits, and some just practical good advice. I listen to - episodes when I wake up each day or at night when I’m getting ready for bed, and it’s just the perfect bite-sized way to add a bit of thoughtfulness to your day.

7. Great advice served up daily - Short (- minute) episodes each weekday, filled with fun, quirky, serious advice on nearly any topic you can think of. I like to save them up then listen to a week's worth at once - but you can easily listen to one a day in the morning, at lunch or whenever you want. The perfect pandemic podcast, for sure. Highly recommend. (Full disclaimer - the creator is my wife's cousin's husband - but writing that out I don't even think they're technically related so it's all good.)

8. Highlight of my day - I always look forward to listening to the new days episode of this podcast. It is a little gem in my morning where I know I can just take time to just listen (it can be challenging to find time for other podcasts while I’m not doing something else) and just enjoy and absorb the moments of wisdom, undistracted. I also love going back and re-listening to this past episodes and better integrate what I’ve learned. Thank you!

1. Disappointed in Episode on Interracial Dating &Too Accepting of White USA Paradigm - The interviewer and guests on the episode on interracial dating didn’t display an understanding of how people of African descent built the world, including the wealth of the entire Western Hemisphere and Europe, according to renowned experts like Prof Howard French (Columbia), Prof Marlene Daut (Yale) & the late Profs Michel Trouillot (Univ of Chicago) and Cheikh Anta Diop (Université de Dakar). I mention this macro issue about the importance of people of African descent around the world because it was heartbreaking to hear how these women during this episode centered the fiction of Whiteness by only defining themselves in relation to White people. What I would tell the women on this show is free yourself from the White gaze, educate yourself on how Africa and its diasporas/descendants built the world and focus on how you exist in a world built by your people.

2. Came Here for One Episode and Stayed for Hours - As I am a Girl Boner Radio listener (host August McLaughlin), I wanted to hear the interview with August and her co-author, Jamila Dawson regarding the recent book, With Pleasure: Managing Trauma Triggers for More Vibrant Sex and Relationship. The episode on sexual consent with McLaughlin and Dawson was probably the best interview I have heard regarding the book, With Pleasure. I went on to listen to previous How To! episodes for the next four hours. I’m very selective with my podcast playlist, and this podcast is now among my regulars. Amanda Ripley can take the most tangled issue and separate the threads making for an informative yet entertaining episode every time. Hooray for How To!

3. Disappointed with the Dog Episodes - Regarding the episode about what happens when a dog and a family don’t work out - I found it irresponsible to share the story of behavioral euthanasia without the caveat that the first step should always be investigating whether another home would allow the dog to thrive. Maybe the guest did this research and made the decision to euthanize her dog with the help of experts, but this was not clear from the conversation. I also found it irresponsible to air the expert’s out of context comments about how there is a shortage of dogs in this country. Yes, many urban areas do bring in animals from other parts of the country, but this is precisely because there is the OPPOSITE of a shortage of dogs in lots of areas. It’s journalistically unethical to have someone WHO BREEDS DOGS saying that that the “adopt don’t shop” mentality is harmful. Of course people need to be careful when they adopt a dog to ensure there is a good match, but much of the two dog episodes (particularly the second one) were conspicuously missing crucial (and potentially life-saving) information.

4. Overwhelming ads, underwhelming content - This is a good concept for a podcast! I burn through podcasts like crazy at work so I’m always happy to find a cool new one. Unfortunately, after listening to about episodes I think I’m done. I appreciate the work that goes into each in terms of finding people to interview for the show, but other than that there doesn’t seem to be a lot of research or depth in the subjects. It kind of feels like each could be condensed into a couple minutes of content but instead a simple and surface level subject is stretched thin for a half hour. For example, the episode on giving up a troublesome dog amounted to “it’s not shameful to give up your dog if it is overwhelming your entire life”. They didn’t go any deeper than that. Not to mention almost a third of the episode is ads :( I think this is hilighted in the way the ads are structured, especially at the beginning. It’s something like min of ads, mins introduction, then minutes of ads. I understand the need to profit for the work out in, but this is over the top and overwhelming. This podcast has a great foundation and it’s cool to hear from experts. At the same time I feel it needs more work to be worthwhile.
2021-12-28
5. Some very bad advice! - Never give up your K employer match! It’s like earning % interest. Other than that, most of the advice is too general to be useful, and appears to feature guests who are trying to sell their own books or podcasts. It is reasonably entertaining, but not a real how to about anything.
2021-12-28
6. Relevant and timely topics with good advice - I’ve listened to several of the recent shows and Amanda has been tackling interesting topics that I find quite relevant. Her rapport with the guests is like sitting down for coffee with a friend to exchange good advice. I especially liked the show about coaching youth sports!
2021-11-23
7. Productive and Hopeful - What I love about this show is how Amanda helps me see a problem from multiple perspectives. Each podcast has awesome interviews uncovering multiple moving parts and providing a menu of solutions. The best part is the bright light she brings into the picture. After I listen I feel like I have new tools and more confidence!
2021-11-19
8. Comment about new host - Listening to the latest episodes I notice more superfluous chitchat between the host and guests than before with Charles & his guests & his use of time. I find this irritating in that with all this ‘extra’ chatter, the objective of the podcast is not moved forward or at least not staying on track. Sometimes it just feels like they are conversing casually without regard to an audience, and when that happens they lose me & I’m apt to stop listening.
2021-10-12
9. The ads drive me up the wall - I do love this show and find it so insightful and helpful. stars for content. But please, if I have to hear one more bush’s baked beans add about the “barbecue-niverse” I am going to lose it. Pretty please, consider going with less main-stream (corporate) adds and switch to some that actually offer interesting products. Thanks!!
2021-08-27
10. Miss Charles - / update - another episode with Google search top depth, so unoriginal, nothing worth hearing. Sad. The show has gotten tame and predictable since Charles left as host, David isn’t making the show creative enough, the guests have gotten lame and the advice is predictable. Need to get better...

11. I Like this podcast - (Podcast EP Request) I am and enjoy making beats with my iPod-touch. I am pretty good at it and am only getting better. But I want to make music based off of video games like Call Of Duty, Five Nights at Freddys, And just big games like these.
I don’t want to be in the EP, but I need help of figuring out how to write a lyrics good enough for the type of beats I make. Oh by the way I need help rhyming, and help learning rhyme schemes. Of course I could look this up on YouTube, but I think it’ll give you more listeners. Just a question and a suggestion. Thank you if you read this far. (Review)
I think that this podcast has a lot of insight on the topics they talk about. If u you oh need help with anything reach out to the podcasts crew and they’ll likely help you.

12. Recommendation: how to not cry when someone is yelling at you - You guys should do a episode on: how to not cry when someone is yelling at you.

13. Weight loss fantasies - The fact that this show seems to regularly mention weight loss makes it lose all credibility. Supposedly, this show is supposed to have some basis in research, but look at the research on weight loss. No long term intervention has ever been found. % of people who lose weight gain it all back in yrs and /rds are heavier, and this is not due to non-compliance, but biological compensatory processes that have protected us for thousands of years. Dieting is a $B/yr industry built on repeat customers, so I understand pretending permanent weight loss is possible is good for ratings, but it’s an irresponsible and easily verifiable lie that does real harm to people. Do better in .

15. I. LOVE. THIS. PODCAST. - I’ve been subscribed to “How To! With Charles Duhigg” for a long while, but only recently started listening to it. My gosh, Charles is amazing and every topic is fascinating. His guests are top-notch and Charles has an easy-yet-direct way of asking perfect questions to help listeners understand each subject. Charles and his podcast are awesome! Love, love, love!

16. Give credit where credit is due - At the end you brushed aside the republican congressman leading the effort to stop algal blooms from occurring downstream from lake okeechobee. Congressman Brian Mast has been fighting to stop the poisoning of downstream waters and the reason Mike has been successful in getting his message out to the masses. I wonder if it were a democrat spearheading this effort if they would’ve been recognized. Your podcasts have a subtle political undertone that often support the left. Thanks

1. Great Travel Tips! - I love this show because Julia features all different types of travel guests. Often times travel influencers only showcase big luxurious travels, and I love the different topics covered on this show. You will learn so much about travel hacking from this that you can practically and easily apply!

2. Such a wealth of information! - I am so thankful to listen to a female perspective with something to learn from every episode. Julia has such a warm, calm and informative tone that is so lovely to listen to. The last thing I want to hear some loud excitable man bark orders, and man-splain, what I should/shouldn’t be be doing with my credit cards. Julia’s genuine curiosity and thoughtful, relevant questions for her guests show her commitment to learning along with her listeners. So much to learn from the benefits of how accumulating points with credit cards and various was of doing this can benefit so many regardless of income or tax bracket.

3. Helpful and relevant content - I’ve been following Geobreeze for little over a year now and have just made it through about every episode. This is easily one of my top for points and miles content. What I appreciate is that that each episode remains true to P&M and doesn’t deviate to non-relevant info. I also find this to be more authentic as many guests are sharing their own experiences and journeys (vs solely industry experts) of how they got there, what they use points for, what works/what doesn’t, etc. not everyone’s points journey are the ideal path. I’ve picked up and successfully used several tips from Julia and other guests and this show has encouraged me to ramp up my own points game. I’ll likely take the next step in doing a consult and consider joining the Patreon.

4. Wanderlust and purposeful travel - Yes, you will learn A LOT about how to travel well. Think ridiculously affordable flights in business class and stays at fancy hotels! Julia is a great explainer of how credit cards and points work to make your global wanderlust life possible. But it's actually more than that. She and her guests keep it very real, down to earth. It's not only the Instagram glam of travel. Her interviews bring out people's stories and inspire your genuine LOVE of travel. For me, I'm on a several year journey to take my mom around the world, making up for lost time. That's why I've listened to every single one of Julia's podcasts and am eager for the next one!

5. Addicting! - Julia’s podcast is easy to listen to and has strategies for novice and advanced travel hackers alike! This is due to the diverse speakers she has on the show. The episodes all have a similar flow and predictability to them, but because of the broad range of guests they are each unique and peak my interest. I have found myself listening to episode after episode! This podcast is almost as addicting as travel hacking itself! What I love most is that the show highlights how the points and miles community is always growing and learning alongside one another- everyone’s successes are celebrated!

6. Popped my travel cherry ;)) - Julia was the first travel hacker I found and she remains my go-to teacher for how to travel the way I want. Each podcast episode is full of resources, insights, perspectives, and travels around the world. Hearing how different travel experts had their beginnings and learned from their own early mistakes is a valuable crash course for those newer to travel hacking. Have a listen and let travel take you away!

I’m so happy to have found Julia with Geobreeze Travel and this podcast! I’ve learned so much about earning and using points, and insider tips that I haven’t heard anywhere else. Her guests always have so much valuable information to share. Thanks for all the work you put into this podcast, Julia!

9. Opened up a world of travel - This podcast has changed how we travel! It’s the first time I’ve heard of using points and miles to travel and literally started my current points obsession. I love how Julia invites people with a variety of experience to the show and highlights people of color and women!

10. Mama of learning how to travel for free with family - I LOVE to travel and used to travel around a lot more when younger. But since becoming a mom of , traveling as a family has gotten a lot more expensive (esp these recent years!) so I finally dig into learning about travel hacking and found geobreeze. I’m still in the beginning of the journey but have found a lot of great travel hacks and inspirations here. Excited to finally being able to travel again and hopefully for free!

11. Highly recommend for newer miles enthusiasts - I’ve been listening to Julia’s podcast for months and love it. I got involved in the points and miles life last year. There are lots of resources and websites to visit but I have latched onto Geobreeze! The episodes are very accessible and interesting. She has a good mix of guests on talking about hotel points, general credit card hacking, and airline miles. Her podcast and other content also don’t feel sponsored/corporate like many other travel hacking creators. I recommend following her on Instagram too, I’ve taken advantage of a few promotions she’s mentioned that worked!
2022-10-11
12. Inspirational travel podcasts - I am always so inspired by Julia’s podcast. I first heard about it when she was a guest on the all the hacks podcast when she was a guest. I love the way she interviews her guest and really digs deep into the mistakes they made and even supports so many other travel hacking creators. I feel like I’m constantly learning so much and it’s such a great value all for free.

13. A weekly must-listen! - This is one of the podcasts I listen to every week when it drops. Julia gets real about points and miles, and I’ve learned about a lot of strategies that you don’t hear about on other podcasts. I also like hearing the pros and cons of some of the strategies and mistakes that people have made, rather than just the “highlights reel.” Julia also tries to get into specifics with her guests, so you can learn how to go to some of the destinations they’re talking about. Overall, this podcast is entertaining and informative, while keeping it real. Highly recommend!

14. Inspiring and relatable - Julia’s Instagram is the first travel hacking account I’ve ever followed and while I enjoy seeing her travel adventures there, I’m glad she also has this podcast because of the variety of guests and topics. I never thought there could be many different perspectives when it comes to travel hacking. As someone with a career in nonprofits, I was surprised to hear someone like me talking about how to earn points for travel. Highly recommend!

15. Feels like a library of audible knowledge! - I got laid off from my software engineering job back in September. Travel hacking is not a topic I thought I’d get into at this time but when I realized I had so much time to research..I realized all the ways I plan plan trips without hardly spending any additional money beyond the basic necessities! Finding the Geobreeze podcast felt like the last ingredient to a perfect storm: lots of time and interest to dive deep into research/strategizing, a hoarded pile of points that accumulated during the pandemic, and now a source of streamlined knowledge to not suffer from analysis paralysis. Really glad I came across this wealth of information. There’s so many intriguing topics, many not even directly related to travel hacking but share a similar spirit of creativity with finances. I myself started house hacking with my partner last year. Very cool to come across podcasts where I can listen to people whose hustle I resonate with!

16. Great podcast for all levels of points and miles! - I love Julia’s podcast! She is very direct and asks guests the questions I would want to know. Great information if you’re a newbie to points and miles, or if you’re a veteran that has seen the world. I was able to get my husband behind travel hacking thanks to this podcast - and we’re never looking back!

1. One of the best shows … period - James is a genius and he is the best interviewer … what I like best about him is he asks tough questions and plays devils advocate many times … he challenges guests … also I love his vulnerability and how he shares the dark moments of entrepreneurial life … this is a must-listen-to show …

2. Extremely disappointed to hear Tony Robbins guest - Tony Robbins is a cult like “leader” with a documented and embarrassing history of discrimination, misinformation and selling snake oil health remedies. He spreads misinformation about Covid and vaccines. It’s EMBARRASSING you would invite him on your show. You’re probably getting a cut of whatever crap he’s selling now. Shame on you James for having this man on, you’ve lost the trust of your listeners for good.
2022-02-22
3. Chemistry - The “Millionaire” series is informative, fun, and entertaining as intended. But, Jen, Jay, and James have a real chemistry that could translate to any podcast format. It’s like being in a diner and sitting next to this table of three people who couldn’t be more different, but seem like old friends. I want to pull up a chair. Please keep it going.

4. JFC stop interrupting your guests - I wanted to like this but couldn’t even finish the interview with Mary Karr. She’s one of my favorite writers, and so it would have been nice to actually hear her speak. I don’t care if it’s an East Coast thing or what, it’s so rude to constantly interrupt people like that. I cannot listen to it.

5. Please stop the part part splitting of episodes - This new thing of splitting your episodes into parts adds no value, it makes it much more annoying - especially while driving. What value is It to me??? Answer - NONE! If you are going to change things please make it better, not more annoying, difficult or just plain stupid! You are making the line L O N G E R with this stupid part part cut. Just stop doing it. Thank you Jon

6. Refreshing depth and vulnerability - I've been a fan of James' for years, and was honored to be featured in an edition of The Altucher Report on how to create meaningful connections. James' transparency about his own rise and fall…and rise and fall…and rise again… is so refreshing - and he brings the same openness and transparency to his interviews. Every episode is a beautiful reminder that no successful person got to where they are without struggle and failure - and if they can make life what they want to, so can you.
2021-09-04
7. My Favorite Podcast - This is by far my favorite podcast. The amount of work/research James does to prepare for each episode is so evident in the questions he asks his guests. And you can tell the guests are impressed as well. James listens to what the guests are saying, but more importantly- he listens to what isn’t being said. Each episode is packed with so much value. Cannot recommend enough. Craig S.

8. An Informed Perspective - I’ve been listening to James on my drive to and from work and keep coming back for his insightful commentary and connections to authorities in each field he discusses. He helps expand my thinking and I’ve learned a lot about business in the process - I’m actually using some of his ideas in a business I’m launching. Definitely worth the listen, can’t wait to see what he does next!
2021-03-31
9. My Favorite podcast - I have tried to listen to other podcasts but I always come back to this one. I’ve learned so much and continue to learn. I’ve read books I might not ever have thought to look at because of this podcast. James has great guest and asks great questions, questions I would want to ask his guests. And it’s funny too!! Keep doing what you do!
2021-03-25
10. A New Low - I can deal with some profanity in the course of a podcast. But the recent comment James made during his Investing podcast was horrible. It was the most sexist and vile derogatory comment I’ve ever heard on a podcast and directed at, of all people, HIS WIFE!! I stopped in the middle of my run and turned it off. I’m removing James from my library.

11. Love the Podcast! Can’t stand Stephen Gundry - Hey! Love your podcast, thanks for all you do!!! Listening to the Stephen Gundry episode now and, gotta say, I hate this guy! Enough with the personification please! Just talk to me like an adult and give me the science. I don’t know, all I hear is noise when I listen to him. It seems like he just wants to sell a book or two while guys like Andrew Huberman give it to ya straight! Anyway, sorry for the rant on Gundry. Take care and thanks again for all the interviews and content. Love it! (Even if I don’t always care for the interviewee )
2021-03-16
12. Femme Fan! - I’m a huge fan! I’ve probably listened to almost every episode. I find this podcast enlightening, inspiring, comforting, expansive and deliberate. I find James and most of his guests to be honest, reasonable, free thinking, curious and ingenious. There is one one reason I didn’t give full stars. I do however think he may be missing the opportunity to bring more women into his show and ‘tribe’. He could help more women connect to the messages he is sharing by amplifying more female voices. Women maneuver through this world differently and more uniquely than men do in almost every way. The inspiring insight that James’ guests share may also be valuable coming from a female empowered voice. Some females to consider are Soleil Moon Frye, Bethany Frankel, Alyssa Milano, Issa Rae, Sophia Amoruso, Margaret Atwood, Deborah Levy, Fran Lebowitz, Dolly Alderton, Kate Atkinson, Naomi Alderman, Betty White, Ali Wong, Tina Fey, Leslie Jones, Elaine Welteroth, Laura Wasser, Cheryl Strayed, Ina Garten and Ava DuVernay. The list of empowering females extends from here and I encourage James to engage in conversations with some of these women to expand his audience and tribe. I will always be listening and I hope to hear some of these voices amplified. Thank you James for always inspiring my day.

13. QUALITY PRODUCTION - I love this podcast!! So very informative yet funny and entertaining. I appreciate how James is egoless yet points out his frailties and shortcomings on the road to “success”. I recently started reading “Skip The Line” and have been educated and entertained. Keep up the Great Work James!! Subscribe, if you haven’t subscribed.

14. Informative - This has sneakily become one of my favorites. Great guests but the solo shows and side hustle shows are great too. Extremely useful content that can be applied immediately. He’s great at breaking down bigger topics. Financially, James has an interesting view ...he’s been to the top and to the bottom and back...he’s not afraid to let you learn from his mistakes...and it’s neat to see things from his perspective.

15. Brilliant - Optimistic, upbeat. When will James be orange-pilled? Chess
Mindset
Business
Creativity
Invest in yourself
Comedy
And on and on James Altucher’s podcast is helpful. I how he keeps on investigating cutting edge innovations and interviews Michael Saylor or Max Keiser or Dr. John Demartini.

16. One of My Top Five - I have about ten Podcasts that I listen to on a daily basis. James is always in my top five and I never end one of his podcast without hours of follow up critical thinking on my part. I would like James to find some experts in the Alternative Energy sector. I am planning on launching a startup in this sector and if I talk to local ‘experts’ some say solar, some wind, some hydrogen fuel cells. All claim to be experts and all think their solution is the answer. But just what is the way forward. Personally, I think we are headed toward a Hydrogen energy world. However, I don’t want to learn about the Automotive sector but instead about how we will power our homes and businesses. Perhaps James can steer me in the right direction.

3. Needed to hear this - I just listened to all five of the Minutes to a Better Homeschool and after a very frustrating day with my two homeschoolers, it was exactly what I needed to hear. I’m a little over the fake Pinterest type homeschooling messages. Thank you for some realistic, down to earth help. This was concrete suggestions I can implement, starting tomorrow.

It’s been the perfect way to spend some recharge/alone time at night while I reset our house for the next day. I LOVE hearing from all of these women and how different everyone is. And I just know that growing in confidence, which you speak/write about so well, is what’s going to help me finally jump into the homeschool pool. Thank you again!

5. Amazing - Just what I was looking for - I just found this podcast and I have been listening to every episode old and new. I have three boys (almost , almost , and months). My husband and I began the discussion of "should we homeschool?" earlier this year. Since that time I have been searching for groups, books, and advice. We do not have support from my family at this point, and it is encouraging to find support here. This podcast has it all. I love hearing from smart, seasoned homeschool moms. I feel like I have the opportunity to meet my role models - it is awesome to hear the voices of those who have written the books and blogs that I have explored. Thank you!

6. New host, same great content - I was a little concerned when Pam announced she was bringing in a guest host, but the new season is just as great! I really enjoyed the most recent interview with the Dad from Germany on entrepreneurship. Spurred some wonderful conversation for me and my husband. Thank you!!

7. Great info & great fun to listen to! - As a HS parent there is sooo much great info on Pam's podcasts that makes u grateful she takes the time to do them while HSing her ! But the great thing is that she makes u laugh or gives u that extra bit of encouragement u need while having these wonderful conversations with so many different types of HS parents. It just seems like she was born to do it!

8. Joyful, Helpful and Inspirational - I have wanted to write a review for quite some time and I am finally submitting it,
This is one of my most favorite podcasts that I listen to. I absolutely love Pam and her interview questions, her sense of humor and the way she dialogues with her guests. I am so pleased when a new podcast is available.....I immediately tune in. Thank you for all the encouragement that each episode brings to my homeschool, mama's heart.

9. Great Resource for Homeschoolers! - I love all of these podcasts - snapshots, solutions and YMB. We started YMB just this year after hearing about it on Pam's podcast and it has been life changing for our homeschool days. I love all of the great resources Pam offers and the wonderful guest speakers. The only thing I could do without are the quizzes each guest is given. They are the same for every guest, don't add anything to the interviews and create a bit of a robotic, monotonous feel that takes away from the unique quality of each interview. Drop these interview quizzes or change them up and these podcasts would be near perfect. I highly recommend them for any homeschool mom - new or experienced. Thanks Pam for the tremendous effort. You bless all of us each and every day!!

10. Very valuable Podcast ! - I highly believe in this Podcast. Thank you for having a Podcast that supports and enlightens Homeschooling families. I greatly appreciate the mulitple choice questions Pam asks her guests. They are so engaging and really stir up great content! Great golden nuggets from Charlotte's interview: " have kids read as soon as possible, try not to conquer the world in a day, kids get so much from the simplicity of living with you, the power of reading the standard/classic books to your children--they can become better writers." Thank you for your examples of how significant Homeschooling is . InterviewvaletCF

11. Encouraging - As a mama who was only thinking about homeschooling her month old, this podcast has only reinforced I’m on the right path. I love how Pam is able to keep episodes short but packed full of information. She covers a wide variety of topics and brings up ideas I never considered. If you’re already homeschooling, only thinking about it, or going to start, this podcast will add fuel to your fire.

12. Convinced me to homeschool! - Oh Pam, you have changed our lives more than you will ever know! I stumbled upon your podcast sometime last year & it convinced the that we really could take on homeschooling! This podcast helped me see that there was no right or wrong way, just our way, whatever way that may be for our family. You & your guests have opened my eyes so much & I thank you for all of your hard work!!!
2016-09-02
13. Excellent interviews - Pam has such a way of putting her guests at ease, meanwhile asking the perfect next question to keep the discussion moving -- the question you didn't yet know you had, but to which you can't wait to hear the answer. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to hear how a variety of inspiring moms "do" homeschool.
2016-07-22
14. Learning from ALL - I love learning how other home educators run their school. Sometimes I pick up a new way of doing things, other times I am confirmed in my own methods, but I am always encouraged to keep on growing in this homeschool adventure that we are on. I love Pam style of interviewing! This show is always worthy of my time!
2016-06-14
15. I like some things, dislike others - Pam seems very sweet and I like the idea of the podcast. I personally would rather hear a traditional interview format, not the trite questions she uses for each guest. She has some amazing people on the podcast and there are many other things I'd like to hear about - not "what you would bring on a desert island" etc.
2016-05-25
16. Such a fantastic resource! - I am grateful I stumbled upon this gem of a podcast. I was feeling so lost in which direction I wanted to go with our HSing and this just helped me immensely. So far I haven't heard an interview I didn't like or get anything out of. Also I love the bonuses Pam give out. Again thank you for taking the time to have this available, I know the season is over for now and can't wait for next season!

1. Martial Law, really? - I have been a prepper all of my adult life. My learning had nothing to do with politics. I wanted to provide for my family. I am also a University graduate. Part of my thesis was involved in how politics sensationalises small pieces of trouble into blown up trouble even when it was just an attention ruse. When I was small and polio was striking this Country I remember my grandmother walking me to the elementary school for a polio vaccine. The vaccine was in a sugar cube! I am still not convinced that method was the most scientific approach to deliver such a thing but I never got polio. She cared enough to want to protect me. Most every American has a vaccination history we all presented to attend school. I could be baffled why the Covid vaccine has become politicised if I hadn’t seen this kind of nonsense in our history before. I have been vaccinated & boosted yet I still got Covid but not as bad as it could have been. My police officer daughter, the same. Yet we lost a family member to Covid because they didn’t believe in the vaccination. My neighbours, both lost a sibling. Same reason. I am an American and while my fellow Americans who naysay the vaccination say it is about rights, what about the infringement of you exposing your disease on me or anyone else, what about my rights? It is about doing what you can for your community. It is hardly a political question. You comply with community by having a drivers license, having your childhood vaccinations , by not stealing and a bizillion other social contracts. Admit it, you are get getting attention like the slimy politicians who told us for instance our children were super predators in . That scare by the way caused draconian laws against our youth. When I heard this podcast these thought ran thru my mind. Yes you have st Amendment rights but what about your social responsibility as a citizen. I see no merit whatsoever in this particular podcast.

2. New FAVORITE podcast!! - I just came across this podcast a couple weeks ago and have been listening. I absolutely love the format and the discussion on topics related to preparedness. But I also like is that you’re not moving too slowly or too quickly your pacing is for me perfect. Please keep up the good work and I will be sharing your podcast with my like-minded friends.
2021-09-15
3. Waste of time! - Don’t waste your time listening to this. It is nothing more than a regurgitation of the lame stream media. I thought this would be informative about what the lasting issues would be helping us learn to navigate our new reality but this is nothing more than whining and anti-Trump rhetoric. No matter what he did these people would be complaining. So disappointed.

4. Right on the money! - Listened to them for years. Admittedly, I can’t listen on a regular schedule, but everything they’ve ever talked about has lead up to this moment. And because I’ve prepped, I’m not worried about going shopping, running out of supplies or ammo. People think preppers are a fringe society, but that fringe society is sorry pretry right. Just bug in!!!

5. Perfect. - Great info on. Going off grid, prepping, bugging out and survival. Not sure why some people are judging their foreign policy knowledge since that’s not anything to do with it ? Keep it up guys ! And girl ! P.s. more tin foil hat ! Government admits there’s UAP’s. They have a ton more secrets. Gotta be prepared for anything and all things !

6. Just great!!! - This podcast is informative, entertaining, and funny. I listened to the most recent one about two weeks ago and couldn’t stop. Bought a lifetime membership so I could go back and start at the beginning. So much information, it has changed the way I prep and live. It’s all combined into one now. Thank you so much Dale and Lisa.
2019-04-25
7. Disorganized - Maybe write a script of the topic and stick with it. Like the content though most of it I learned in Boy Scouts, but a refresher is good. Content presented in a poor manner with no organization and entirely to much chatter and jumping around and off stated topics before getting to anything useful. This was the case with all episodes I tolerated.
2019-02-23
8. Knowledgeable hosts, but too way too much banter - The hosts clearly know a lot of preparedness and are generally well respected “preppies.” So, it’s unfortunate they’re not able to better convey their knowledge. I would estimate about half of the podcast is empty conversation between the hosts (who I believe are a married couple). They tend to run down irrelevant tangents and talk shop without sticking to the topic at hand. I fee like I need to listen to this podcast on .x just in the interest of not wasting my time.

9. Would you know how to handle life without today’s conveniences? - Dale and Lisa give you plenty to think about in their podcasts. A weekly show that makes you think, “What would I do if.....?”. If you are concerned with all of the horrible things you see in the news, then listen to this podcast and start preparing. Great information gathered by Dale and Lisa and broken down to help a wide demographic of people. (Urban, Rural, Beginner, or Experienced preparedness) Thank you guys for your dedication to help inform those of us that have know idea where to start.

10. Star Podcast - If you are looking for a podcast that gives you step by step prepper info to survive a hoard of zombies or an alien invasion, this podcast isn’t for you. Very down to earth and practical information. A lot of great interviews with experts and survivors of real world scenarios that tell it like it is. If you are looking to start preparing for the uncertain future or just basic preparation for a common event such as your car breaking down or a power outage, this podcast is what you need!
2018-05-24
11. Like the podcast, but it’s missing heart - I listened to a couple episodes and found the podcast something I’d listen to more, but I had to take off a couple stars because it’s missing (for me) the compassionate element. For example, I wouldn’t want to be your neighbor after hearing that you’d lie to me so that I’d give you provisions while you preserve yours. That’s fked up! But I guess it’s good to know how some people think. Just hope they aren’t around me! My area was challenged with SHTF for a couple weeks and it resulted in people helping each other and working together. Grateful for my neighbors

12. Too emotional and Political - The best informational podcasts appeal to all people because the hosts don't make assumptions about their audience, rather they make an effort to relay facts, site resources, and speak on relevant topics to the subject in which they are covering. This podcasts gets too caught up in personal feelings and sentiments. By all means these two should be able to have a podcast and jabber on about politics and things that won't matter in a survival situation...but the name of this podcast is deceptive. Don't waste your time if you care about real survival info.
2017-08-29
13. Perpetuating Prepper Stereotypes - The Goodwins erroneously assume that their audience will be comprised of extreme right wingers in the same generation. There's some information here, but for me it's marred by the ubiquitous blanket statements made, and strongly voiced personal opinions not pertaining to the topic. It would greatly improve their credibility to use facts and specific examples rather than vague and inflammatory "they" statements (i.e. "They don't want you to know," "They will come take your stuff"). I am most disappointed that such a highly-ranked podcast would use fallacies rhetoric to emphasize its message.
2017-07-31
14. Unsubscribing... gave it a shot but disappointed. - I gave this podcast a legitimate shot even after I was disappointed by the first few shows I listened to. But even after six or seven hours of my life gone listening to these two people talk mindlessly I am absolutely no more prepared than before. There is very little in-depth knowledge. They ramble, talk nonsense, and (even though I want to appreciate their lightheartedness on a heavy topic) they're not the least bit funny. If you're looking for a real expert in survival look into some James Wesley Rawles interviews or others like him. You'll learn more in minutes from a real survivalist than in hours from these people.

15. Enjoy the banter - This is the only "prepping" podcast to which I listen and I am not really a "pepper", just a wannabe homesteader. I really enjoy the husband-wife team, the way the two play off each other. I don't know how legit their advice is but it seems pretty accurate. I would prefer more specifics though. Things such as: this is what I have in my truck all the time and these are the reasons why, or this is what to look for when searching for a bug out property and this is our choice of the most important three reasons, etc.

1. Wish I’d found you sooner! - Dawn, Cass and Dana I call the three amigos that changed my life. My only regret is that I did not find them sooner. What can you do, only move forward from today, and don’t dwell on the past. I look forward to each week’s podcasts, and get so much done and more to ponder after each one. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

2. So glad I found this podcast! - I have been an avid fan of Dawn for a couple years on YouTube and wanted to get more inspiration. I was driving today and was bummed I couldn’t watch her Videos on YouTube, but then realized she may have a podcast! Sure enough, and I am so glad I found it. 3. Episode : Things (Most) People Need to Declutter Successfully - Review only one episode
I love this Dawn Madsen, The Minimal Mom podcast episode. Madsen and her sister Diana Kokku discussed their experience helping clients declutter. I appreciated how sensitive they were to their clients belongings. Madsen and Kokku explained the importance of asking for help. Asking questions that will help declutter items. Also, seeing some permanent-stay items in different locations. I enjoyed this delightful and informative episode.

4. Love love love!! - I love this! I happened upon Dawn earlier this year on YouTube and she is a God send. I can’t even tell enough how I feel like God put her in my path so I could understand his desires for me! I also love that it doesn’t matter who you are, minimalism helps your mental health. I love that they have a podcast! It is helpful to have while I’m doing things around the house! I do wish they were a little longer, but just because I love listening to them so much!!! I love hearing the experiences of minimalism and how to apply them spiritually and practically. / would recommend.

5. Favorite Podcast - I followed Dawn and Diana over here from YouTube and love the addition of the podcast! I like listening while cooking or cleaning around the house, so having a podcast vs a video is actually a welcome change because it gives me freedom to multi task while listening. Love the encouragement of their chats!

6. Genuinely positive - Diana and Dawn, I’m sure, make their mother proud and I’m sure she modeled cheerfulness. You are both so uplifting and positive in everything it makes this grandma want to listen and learn. And you both have excellent communication. The information shared is easy and helpful. And Dawn, I’m a folder. I admire you for proudly not folding. You encourage stepping into efficiency but still maintaining your individuality. Love your YT and this podcast.

7. Great podcast - This podcast is a great addition to the Minimal Mom YouTube channel. I love hearing Dawn’s ideas. I think I would like it better without the short introduction and ending that are narrated by another woman; she talks like she is recording an infomercial. I would like to suggest that we hear only Dawn or Diana give an intro.
2021-08-18
8. LOVE IT!! - LOVE your YouTube channel and love the podcast already. I just like listening to you talk lol. I loved your videos with Diana were really great as well and I’m glad I can still hear you guys together on here. You are always so very helpful, thoughtful and super fun and entertaining. You have been such a blessing. Especially with your collab with Dana and Cas. Keep doing what you’re doing and may God continue to bless your whole family!!!

10. So excited! - I’ve been faithfully watching your YouTube videos. They have helped me during a transition in my life and career. Having three kids and a full life meant downsizing somewhere and your channel was God-sent! It gave me somewhere to put my energy while I couldn’t work and was helping my home function better for my family. Now that I’m back to work the podcast is ideal! Thank you for your Amazing and insightful and helpful work that you do!!
2021-08-08
11. So happy! - I am so excited that Dawn started this podcast. I am a busy mom, so a lot of times when I turn on her YouTube channel, I end up listening more than watching. This is a great addition to her amazing content! I love how down to Earth she is, her simple and practical ways of staying organized, and her faith.
2021-08-08
12. I’m so excited! - As an avid podcast listener and a long time follower of you I am so excited for this channel. Dawn you are such an inspiration for me and your videos have helped me simplify my life so much and that process has made me a better mother to my kids. Our lives would be very different if it wasn’t for you and your motivation to help me understand the joy of living with less.
2021-08-06
13. I love listening to the Minimal Mom! - I’m so excited about this podcast. I’ve been watching Dawn’s YouTube videos for about a year now. She has such great tips on decluttering and more and I have thoroughly enjoyed when she is accompanied by her sister Diana. They share really practical advise and biblical wisdom. It’s great!
2021-08-02
14. I Can Do All Things... - ...now that I can listen only! I’m so excited for this podcast! Congratulations to you on your continued success! Great things He has done. I’m going to approach your addition of podcast as, “Whew! I’m so blessed to be able to focus on the content now and no longer be so distracted by their beauty!” I can also more easily pop in my AirPods and get things done around the house or at work without making sure I’m not missing something visually. Yay!
2021-08-01
15. Life changing woman right here! - Dawn is probably my all time favorite YouTuber! She knows how to motivate and challenge people to get their home under control! Love how she takes tasks that can be super daunting and then puts them into easy to tackle steps. Super excited to listen to Dawn and Diana on this podcast sharing minimalism and the word of God! Keep up the good work Dawn!
2021-08-01
16. The Minimal Mom has changed how I view my home! - Dawn’s videos are the first that really connected with me and helped me to understand how and why I wanted a more minimal home. I relate to so much of what she shares about how having less stuff helps her feel more present as a mom and focused on what really matters to her. I can’t wait to hear more through this podcast. Love the first episode!

1. Best all around podcasts about retirement - I stumbled onto this wonderful presentation that mixes lifestyle planning and issues with financial issues, wellness issues, and the full gamut of retirement topics that could interest a future or current retiree. So much to learn, consider and explore! I especially like the recap of a few standout items the guest mentioned at the conclusion of each program. I’ve sent the link to a friend who may be on the retirement track in a couple of years. Great insights from the host and the guests.

2. Tutto Interesante - Just listened to Peter Guzzardi, nine emeralds from Wizard of Oz.; It was so enjoyable and interesting. The host always makes the program as interesting as the guest.
I really appreciate this retirement podcast. I’m semi retired attempting to live my best life each day. Thanks for what you do.

3. Must listen for soon to be retirees - Joe is a very likeable, laid back host who recognizes what his listeners want to hear. He is a voracious reader which enables him to seek out interesting guests to interview and learn from on the show. This is my favorite podcast which explores the non-financial aspects of retirement.
2022-09-23
4. Really insightful - Very much enjoying this. None of the typical trappings of Podcasts (no hard sell, hosts don’t feel they have to be funny, no crazy soundtracks and noises). Just straight forward questions and good info. Great guests with amazing bios. I love that the hosts wrap up the show with their takeaways and put all good info in the show notes. Well done!
2022-01-04
5. A podcast for retirees looking to continue to grow - I’m enjoying this podcast. Read about it in the WSJ. It doesn’t talk down to you, is honest, not a hard sell, and focuses on topics that transcend financial - very important because emotional and mental well being are just as important. Retirees have a lot to offer society and this podcast shines a spotlight on those possibilities. Well done.
2021-12-20
6. Hoping other episodes are better - sorry, but the one on ‘The anti-retirement movement’ was very shallow, unhelpful and cliché-ridden. it was essentially a parody of what super -successful people discover when they stop working (spoiler alert!): Family, Travel, and Making desserts out of your field of lemon trees. The words “budget “, finances “, and “cost “are never mentioned. after a nod to serving on some boards of charitable organizations, they get to what their retirement is really about: making oneself your first priority and ‘ investing in yourself “.
I wish this couple well, but their plan is not one that I desire in the least. The softball questions from the unskeptical interviewer facilitated these impressions.
2021-11-03
7. Recommend to many friends and clients - I stumbled upon this podcast after hearing Joe Casey on a webinar. I find his style of conversation, questions, guests and content all fabulous. As a personal financial advisor, I can help clients with the money side of retirement but TRWP addresses the social, emotional and encore side of this transition. The guests are among the best I’ve heard on any podcast.
2021-05-27
8. If you only listen to one retirement podcast, make this it - If you’re eager to get wise about retirement, you’ve come to the right place. Not only are cohosts Joe Casey and Denis Wuestman knowledgeable guides/coaches, they are excellent interviewers who put their guests center stage and give them ample time to share their wisdom. Guests include authors, speakers and other thought leaders who are shaping the way we live and work in our s and beyond. You’ll not only get practical advice and actionable tips, you’ll enjoy real-life stories from individuals who are making the most of their lives. I’ve listened to every episode and am much better prepared for retirement as a result. I bet you will be, too!
