1. Required listening - EconTalk would probably be on the Mt. Rushmore of podcasts if one were to exist. My only request would be to include a summary of books, websites, etc. that are discussed during the episode in the show notes. When the host or a guest mentions a great book, I’d love to be able to check it out but am often not able to note it while listening.

2. I can’t put into words how much I love these interviews! - So I’ll try. Interviews and discussions on fascinating topics and aspects of the broader econ world (which pretty much covers everything). Fascinating & learning about our economy, the world, broader and interconnecting themes and impacts

3. Don’t know how I’ve missed this one - I don’t know how I’ve missed this podcast for so long as it has a bunch of guests I like and have listened to elsewhere. I’m not very familiar with Russ, but I like him and have a good sense of his worldview since I’ve been bingeing. The very best part of this podcast is it actually starts within seconds. Overly produced, filler content (not ads) in podcasting needs to die; the kind that tends to be self absorbed, irrelevant information that has nothing to do with the content.

4. Intellectually stimulating - As a life long biology learner, I am newcomer to economics and it’s jargon. I greatly enjoy the new approach to viewing the world and how economics can maximize utility. The first podcast in was a great intro in how to think like an economist. Looking forward to listening to all episodes (eventually) and how the new knowledge will stimulate new ideas and understanding.

5. My Favorite Podcast - Russ is an unabashed free marketeer but is always fair and polite to his wide variety of guests. He covers a wide range of interesting topics in addition to pure economics, but he brings a more nuanced approach to the “economic way of thinking” to so many topics. He often has topics that don’t look interesting to me at first, but I always listen to them as they are often end up as some of my favorite episodes.

6. Episode… ? With John List - John’s voice is best at about :, just after Russ asks a question or makes a statement. Before that, and almost exclusively, John’s voice is very difficult to listen to. I recommend voice coaching. (I am not in that business.) A secondary suggestion: John, focus on speaking in a lower register while using vocal variation while speaking. This is a type of thing that people who know is well are too “caring” and too polite to suggest, but it will improve: .) your desirability as a speaker
.) your persuasiveness
.) the general joy with which others engage with you, regardless of whether you are paying them to so engage Good luck, and may you find increasing success and happiness

7. New perspectives - This podcast has brought new perspectives on topics that have shaped my thinking permanently. One unexpected example was the podcast where he discussed Kenny G with documentarian Penny Lane. What actually made the podcast fascinating was way they approached the question “What is beautiful?” It made me re-think my scorn for art forms that I find boring or mundane in a way that I hadn’t before. I still don’t like a Kenny G, but I don’t let it annoy me. His interview on healthcare with Keith Smith was also epic.

8. Ep - We’ll see how this one ages. I wonder how much Russ would have paid for that booster as he was frantically googling? He should ask Tyler next time he’s on what an alpha booster should cost in an omicron world, on the margin of course, in a world with $ ivermectin? Maybe a deep dive on the skyrocketing cost of $ ivermectin. Maybe EconTalk, in the future.
Pretty sad to see what covid has done to Russ. Five years from now, Will Russ be selling vaccines or will he be talking about his concerns with this time like ? He’ll have time to decide.

1. Good show but stick to economics - There are moments of wishful economic theory here. Justin shows he is well left of center and mixing it in confuses the material. We see oil prices and know it’s months of halted new oil and pipelines that have hurt this country. As an economist you know an month halt to oil signed on Inauguration Day constricted supply and brought higher prices when we took off our masks and came out of lockdown. Talk about that, it’s real and tangible and there are numbers-think like an economist and show them. Your college kids have no hope if they can’t understand stimulus and restrictions to supply created all our current problems.

2. Great content, cringe worthy acting - I really like the content but I cringe each time Betsy talks. It sounds like she reading off a script and addressing an elementary school class. It's SO close to being good but I literally brace my self for each time she speaks. It would be nice if the moderator pushed back on the concepts and ideas, instead they just sound like scripted questions to bring out the scripted answers. Ironically there are so many great sounding, well produced podcasts with poor content. here we have great content wrapped in a barely listenable presentation.
2022-02-14
3. I beg to differ - I love your show but aggregate supply and aggregate demand show you said that College will show to employers that they can stick with something and will be more productive. I disagree, I am a Service Coordinator for people with Developmental Disabilities and the employees coming out of College are a mix bag, some are great but many are lazy and have no organizational skills and the people without a College degree are dedicated and organized and do a better job. I think that we should stop encouraging all people to go to College and make it sound like you are less for not going when maybe you could work your way up ( Trader Joe’s, Costco) or train to be a construction worker, plumber or electrician or go in the tech field, who make a good salary. There are a lot of people that have College debt but end up in a job that doesn’t require a College degree. I think that by requiring a College degree you are limiting a lot of good people who could do the job even better.

4. Great but also ads are loud and often - I am an economist, this is an awesome podcast, it’s a great content, and a great reminder for what I learned at school and helpful tool while planning my biz. But the ads are annoying. They first one is times louder then the rest of podcast so it startles me every time. Then the hosts add even more ads in a show that’s less than minutes long. Would have rated it higher but the ads make it borderline unlistenable.
2021-08-22
5. Volume issues, but love the content - I think the content and presentation are amazing for this show. I love the length of the episodes and how much thought went into their flow. Everything is explained well and with easy-to-understand examples. I just wish that Betsey Stevenson wouldn’t get louder as she’s making a point. I’m already sensitive to noise in general, and noise variation in a podcast is actually a big consideration for me when I decide whether or not to listen. If there’s a little more modulation in future shows, I’ll definitely keep listening.
2021-01-08
6. Disappointment - These are very highly regarded economists but this podcast is just a flop. Dull and basic, it’s almost as if they are reciting an old econ textbook for children. The moderator Nes doesn’t add much value to the conversation. If you want engaged, insightful, nuanced dialogue on econ and society, listen to the Freakononics podcast.
2020-12-13
7. Educational AND Fun - This is an amazing and educational podcast that taught me a lot during quarantine. The acting wasn’t the best, but keep in mind they are economist not actors. The Script was VERY well written, and the episodes have been consistent. If you are looking for something to do I would recommend this podcast.
2020-11-29
8. Democrat Playbook on Economics - I had high hopes for this podcast. But it so basic, and the hosts are so robotic as they read the script, that I can’t rate it highly. Also, the hosts are very obviously spouting Democratic Party dogma. The episode on international trade mentioned nothing about unfair trade tactics by China and how that should play into US trade policy. The episode about climate change mentioned nothing about the huge strides the US has made, particularly regarding expansion of natural gas use, and nothing about how India and China are expanding use of coal. Hide the facts and tow the Dem party line.

2. So amazing - It is life changing when you can finally understand something you’ve been “learning” for months but really haven’t gotten it to click. The way you explain things is so helpful and I appreciate the speed you speak at and the words you reiterate. I listen to this podcast everyday on the way to nursing school and I’ve learned so much. I love how you preach that it isn’t about memorizing, we have to GET the material! I always try to summarize what you teach after the podcast ends, out loud to my self in the car, lol. Thank you!

1. Incredible podcast - I’m an M and even though the podcasts are targeted towards studying for Step -, I’ve found that the vast majority of the content on this podcast has been helpful towards better understanding and integrating Step content as well. This is also the only podcast I’m aware of that is both free and comprehensive for the content covered on NBME exams. And as much as I love Dr. Ryan, Dirty Medicine, etc. Divine’s voice is much more mellow and nice to listen to. The life lessons are nice too. / podcast. I get that some people don’t like the self promotion at the beginning at the end of the show, but the guy has got to make a living. He is not a charity! If you don’t want to listen to it, it’s very easy to skip the first minute or two of the show and then click “played” once you get to the last few minutes and move on to the next one.

2. So useful for STEP studying! - Love listening to Divine as I do chores, drive, or go to the gym. He’s got a great way of explaining information and making connections between systems and disease processes. His vignette style of explanation is super useful for STEP questions, and I also really appreciate his life lessons. Definitely worth the time to listen. Thank you, Divine!
2022-04-19
3. Thank you for filling in the gaps! - This podcast is gold! Divine does a great job connecting concepts and filling in knowledge gaps. Also, I find that he covers a lot of material in a short amount of time; which is great considering that I listen to this podcast when I generally wouldn’t be studying while driving in the car or working out. Thank you for what you are doing to enhance the education of medical students/trainees!

4. Too much Self-Advertising - Overall, the content is quite helpful and is useful. The problem is that every episode has .- minutes of self-advertising at the beginning and - minutes at the end. This is reallllly annoying to listen to every time. My recommendation, Divine - do a quick - second blurb EITHER at the end or beginning of your podcast - give us your website, put it in the show notes, or something else. But the constant “this is my course, lots of people get good scores, sign up here, here’s another testimonial” in each episode is a bit too much.

5. Just listen - We all agree. Studying medicine is both rewarding but yet extremely tiresome and stressful. The stress of doing well on board exams to continue our careers makes it no easier. But whether you’re driving in your car, walking to the subway or working out you can still get great quality knowledge by listening to this guy. He may seem dense at first but once you give him a chance you’ll fall in love. He breaks down pathologies like you’ve never understood before and gives you great tips for tackling NBME styled questions and as an even bonus just great life tips. Great to listen to for the average medical student.

6. Amazing podcast, amazing man - I have listened to many step podcasts and this one is by far my favorite. Divine really explains WHY things are the way they are, emphasizing the physiology and pathology so it’s easy to remember the “high yield”. The guy also transmits compassion and seems to really care about us becoming good doctors and about us doing well on these exams and believing in ourselves. Thank you for being you Divine. You are doing God’s work by serving others and sharing love and kindness.

7. The High-Yield Hero - Divine is an incredibly intelligent individual who breaks high yield facts into bite-sized podcasts for studying on the go. Some of my clinical sites are over an hour from my house, and with Divine’s podcast series, I’m able to turn that time into valuable study time. Also, the google spreadsheet on his website makes it easy to pick out podcasts that are most relevant to my rotation. Divine is awesome. I’ve had the pleasure to learn from some of the same teachers as Divine, who unanimously agree that Divine is both kind, and an incredibly motivated doctor. Thanks again for this free and incredibly high yield study tool. Humbly,
A very, very grateful MS

2. Churchill’s History of the English Speaking People - After listening to your dialogs, I bought the books and it a pretty fascinating read. Once you get used to Churchill’s writing style in the fist or pages it then becomes a “page turner”, Thank you for putting the narrative on a pod cast. By the way, you guys are wrong about used books being readily available. Maybe in New York and maybe at Hillsdale College but not in Hawaii. Thank God for Amazon otherwise I wouldn’t be able to find it. Aloha You could have done better by putting Andrew Roberts as a partner to Larry Arn rather the Hugh Hewitt. Or someone like that . Hewitt is acting as a cheerleader rather then a historian. However it’s still a good podcast. Keep up the good work.

3. Why is there only podcasts showing and you can’t go further back anymore. That stinks! - Why all of sudden only podcasts are available??? For those who are working on binging listening as Hugh always recommends we can't anymore. Please fix this on your end and not limit to last on podcasts and pod bean!!!!!

4. Listening in PA - Thank you to Hugh and Dr. Arnn for this fabulous weekly comprehensive stroll through history. My husband, our ten year old and I look forward to each episode! Hearing these discussions and learning about Hillsdale has been a game changer for my family. We are very much looking forward to the young readers edition of Land of Hope. We’ve learned so much from the first edition and we know our daughter will gain as much as we have from the version for younger readers.

5. Very insightful…when the guests are allowed to finish their thoughts - Wonderful series about evergreen subjects pertaining to American history, politics, and philosophy, as well as various aspects of world history (ancient Greece, Rome, Judeo-Christian tradition, Winston Churchill, etc). Would be an even better series if Hugh Hewitt didn’t interrupt Dr. Arnn and the other guests as frequently as he does.
2021-07-18
6. Best Podcast about Western Civilization - I have been listening to this podcast on other platforms for years. It is the best podcast on Wester Civilization that I have ever listened to. Dr. Arn and the staff of Hillsdale are engaging and interesting. Hugh Hewitt asks tons of really interesting questions.
2021-05-07
7. Dr. Arnn gets five stars. The podcast, not quite as much. - Dr. Larry Arnn is some thing of a national treasure, and is naturally worthy of a five star rating. But Hewitt won’t shut up, won’t stop interrupting, sounds like he’s playing with a Bic lighter half the time, the music is atrocious, and the podcast always drops months late.
2021-02-16
8. Great, but. . . - It is a very good podcast with excellent content and insightful commentary with a good dose of humor relating to political literary and historical issues past and present. My biggest frustration is that the podcast is often delayed. The program might be aired one week but will not be posted to that server for downloading until - weeks later.

1. Wonderful! More please! - Lately, my young children (age and age ) have been asking questions regarding women and women or men and men being husbands and wives together. At school, a friend told them that a woman can marry another woman and a man could marry another man. Before this, we have had those small conversations at home and defined marriage as a gift from God designed for one man and one woman. I want to be seen as the “expert” on this topic, and my children to continue to talk with me and my husband and bring us these wonderings. How would you address this specific topic? Would you do an episode on these issues? Thank you!
2022-03-11
2. Game Changer! - The Birds and Bees curriculum has been one of the most helpful tools we’ve experienced as parents. Thanks to Megan and Mary Flo’s practical and adaptable content, we feel equipped and even excited to have conversations with our kiddos about these topics. The podcast is an extension of this content and and an opportunity to hear other voices speak into these topics. Highly recommend!
2021-03-17
3. Excited! - Love this duo! I have heard Megan speak several times and always come away with new tidbits of wisdom. So excited for the two of them to go in depth on topics that we all need guidance on. These are tough topics; thank you Megan and Mary Flo for providing the tools and words to get me through!

4. Helpful, Empowering Resource for Parents - After following The Birds & The Bees for several years, I am thankful for their pursuit of new ways to connect to parents through this podcast. Their curriculum has shaped our engagement with our children, especially in regards to their sexual education, reminding us of the power of our relationship with our children and influence in their young lives. Very much looking forward to hearing from their guests, and hearing from Megan and Mary Flo on a more regular basis. Thank you, B&B! You are a gift to this generation of parents.

5. Insightful and wise place for parenting advice - These women have sound, helpful tips in guiding parents through talking to their kids about sex and related topics. 1. TED talks education - I decided to go with the style of TED talks for a few reasons. The first being it's very familiar and easy to use. Second, in most podcasts you don't see the people talking, you usually just listen to them while on TED talks you get to see the people talking and see and feel the emotions and expressions during their talks. There are a few things that I found to be very memorable. Such as when one of the speakers said to raise our kids to give them the tools to solve the problems we want to solve. Meaning the problems we see in our society we raise our kids to fight those problems. The speaker goes on to talk about how parents who don't want to talk about hard things to talk about often make the kid figure out those things on their own which can be very dangerous especially if the kid is using the wrong things to learn from. Another speaker came out and talked about how she used to love dirtbikes but they were illegal to own at her age in her town so she got really big into science and in class she blew her eyebrows off, glued someone to a chair, and even made stink bombs in class. And the teacher just chopped her up for being the “ bad kid” when they were overlooking the talents she had. AT the same time the only thing I didn't like is a lot of the speaker's rambling off and telling stories that have nothing to do with the overall point they're getting at. Overall I would give this podcast a stars out of because it brought up some very good stories that a lot of people can relate to and also talked about things everyone and society can work on to improve.

2. Podcast Review - While doing research on adolescent behavior I started looking into various podcasts on education. The one thing that caught my attention in “TED Talks Education,” was the episode [Why students should have mental health days.] I then started to take a deeper dive and found many episodes pertaining to mental health and motivation which are both of great interest to me. While I have found many inspiring TED Talk episodes in the past, I couldn’t help but notice that some of the episodes in this podcast were either irrelevant to education or had a speaker who bragged about making a change without saying how. However, don’t let my opinion on those few episodes keep you from enjoying the many that are both inspiring and follow the education theme of the podcast. My two personal favorites were [Creative ways to get kids to thrive in school] and the one I mentioned earlier about student mental health. Both had a focus on mental health and how schools could work to improve it by allowing days off for it and working with students with behavioral challenges rather than disregarding them. They also had an emphasis on teaching students how to identify what their feelings are, how to manage them, and how to advocate for themselves. Another episode I found inspiring was [How teachers can help students navigate trauma.] From this episode I received what I believe is the most important lesson I will ever learn as a student teacher: don’t assume you already know the ending to your students story. I find this to be an incredibly inspiring message about not stereotyping our students which is the reason why I rate this podcast five stars, and will continue to use it personally, as well as suggest it to others in the field.

3. Ted is for everyone - I’m going on and I love Ted Talks. I seem to find so much from them and I spread that knowledge around school. A lot of people at my school find it useful and some don’t by it doesn’t bother me as long as I’m spreading good knowledge. It might be now or later, but sometime in life the kids in my school will look back and realize that they need that knowledge. And that knowledge will turn them into the people that are going to be smart, responsible, mature people. I don’t die it because I want more people to come to me for advice or any other reason like that. I do it so that maybe, just maybe they will take that advice , share it, and make it into something wonderful. I don’t ever look and say that I’m not going to do it because of what people will think of me because no matter what I will continue spreading this knowledge that I’ve gained for the rest of my life. If anyone reads this comment go out and use what you learn/learned from Ted Talks and make a difference.

I’m looking forward to working my way through the rest of your shows.

3. Love, but just a few pointers… - I’m an EMT-B that has been working on an ALS rig for years. While I love listening to the podcast and love hearing the stories, it does get frustrating when they get off track and go on tangents for a long time. I also noticed that Chris can sometimes be really condescending and sometimes biased towards the crew that experienced the call when he already knows the ending. They also seem to be biased with things that not everyone has available. For example, my area, we do NOT have RSI, they bring up RSI and DSI a lot as the treatment, which shouldn’t be the only treatment option, as it’s not available for everyone. It seems like they aren’t very appreciative to basic partners either. The way they talk about basics is that they’re the driver and that one cannot be a good provider unless they are a paramedic. Otherwise, I love the podcast.

4. Educational and entertaining - I am currently a Paramedic intern and this podcast has been super helpful. They teach you about different paramedics and their pit falls, that way you can avoid those mistakes in the future. Any time I am headed to my internship I listen to them on the way there to help get the right mindset before I get there.

5. Great information - This is a great emergency medical podcast. I listen to it every other week when it comes out. I’ve shared it with my fellow EMT advanced EMT and paramedic friends on the job, I believe there’s a lot to learn from the podcast. The hosts are awesome. They take seriousness and comedy and mix it well to a point that it still gets the point across and you learn. What are you been on the job for years or a year you can learn something from almost every podcast and the fact that you can get into a continuing education credits is a plus.

6. what a Bonanza - Wanted to wait until I have listened to every single one of these episodes, but even with “just” having about of them under my belt I admit that I am addicted. I am an EMT Basic/ambulance driver in a very rural district for years. Training around here is not based enough on case studies, which to me are the most instructive. Since listening I feel more comfortable and assertive in my skills. There is so much learning/relearning in these episodes, plus the added value of seeing things from an ALS perspective versus BLS. Thank you, Spenser and Chris, for always having a generous attitude towards those of us with lesser medical knowledge.
In addition to all the FREE presentation/transfer of knowledge, you guys have made me smile every single day with your humor and laughter and great voices!

7. Favorite FOAMed podcast - After discovering EMS / through the “Standard of Care” crossover episode (Lawsagna), I’ve finally listened to every episode. There’s a lot of great material out there in the podcast universe, but I find case studies like this to be the most helpful. Dialogue makes it more engaging. Chris and Spencer make it fun and entertaining. I look forward to watching the RSI videos soon. I do have one question: With so much discussion about transporting “Code ” or “Code ,” I’ve never heard of transporting “Code .” Is there a Code ? If not, please make something up. Thanks, Alex, th Year Nurse

8. Awesome! - Chris and the Other Dude rock! I enjoy listening to them so case review, but in a positive manner. They don’t berate providers for mistakes, but provide insight how things might be done better. And they dig into the medicine and science beyond the analysis. It’s a great listen and I learn something I can do better from each episode. Cannot recommend it enough!

1. I love R and R - There is something for all learners in this podcast. Most of cases are problems that I will never see in my lifetime but they are really good about going through their thought train in order to come up with the final diagnosis. They have helped me organize my thinking which has made me a better instructor to my students.
2022-04-11
2. How “amazed” are you really? - The host spends an inordinate amount of time saying how “in awe” he is that the guest clinician is able to interpret results/construct a DDx. It’s extremely awkward and off-putting. Plus, they inject way too much lefty hype into their show themes. I came to gain clinical knowledge, not to hear a polisci lecture. MedEd is populated by self-important narcissists, and this show just proves that.
2020-09-09
3. Good content, very scripted - This podcast is great with regards to content, schema and getting a lot of information across very efficiently. However after listening to many of their episodes the thing that makes it hard to listen to at times is how apparently scripted it sounds. Having it scripted is certainly one of the reasons it’s so efficient and delivers the important points. However, there a plenty of podcasts that are scripted but the conversation does not sound like they are reading off the script or making the conversation fake. But the content is great overall and the time is well spent. May be tough for some listeners who will become annoyed at how strongly scripted it sounds at time.

4. Great concept with marginal execution - The asides are generally too lengthy, the teaching points are occasionally pedantic with little clinical applicability (more “roundsmanship”-focused), and the idea of applying flow chart-like schemas to everything is too broadly applied. The off topic dialogue desperately needs to be cut in postproduction as well. The strength is the format of the podcast; aliquotted information with intermittent discussion is a very engaging use of cases. I unsubscribed after the hypoglycemia episode due to above issues though.

5. Wonderful educational content & a request - Been listening for a while now on my commutes to the hospital during my busy intern year. I couldn’t recommend this podcast more. I do have one request though. Is it possible for you guys to figure out why, when the screen locks on apple devices while the episode is playing, the mini-player does not come up that allows us to quickly stop/play, backtrack & fast forward? I often like to go back if I miss something or pause to process a thought or a lesson so it would make it so much easier if that function were to work. Thank you.

6. My favorite podcast - I LOVE this podcast - I am a rd year medical student and every day I look forward to my drive home from the hospital because I get to listen to a CPS episode! Love the discussions, diagnostic schema, and analysis of every part of these interesting cases. Please keep making great episodes!

7. Great by itself, a force when paired with others - Great stuff. Listen to this along with The Curbsiders and Core IM and your understanding of common and critical issues in IM will be taken to heights you haven't been to before. Add on a few of the amazing EM podcasts out there (and probably Behind the Knife), and become the medical rockstar that you've always wanted. To get your dose of humanity in order to keep what you do in perspective, listen to The Nocturnists. When you're in the mood to let your mind relax and listen to a story, put on Bedside Rounds and Legends of Surgery. That should help you fill up much of the silent time you experience throughout your week/month. Try it, you'll be amazed at yourself.

8. Good stuff - As a medical student I enjoy learning from your experience on how to approach these different cases as I’m trying to build my own clinical reasoning. If I had one point of criticism it would be that sometimes I feel like I’m listening to a robot reading a script. Curbsiders are easy to listen to because the discussion is very conversational and if they are reading from a script it doesn’t feel that way at all. Overall I think this is good stuff and will continue to listen. Strong work!

1. Best pance review podcast out there! - Just started studying for my PANRE. Information in this podcast is short, concise and easy to understand. Scott does a great job at presenting all the key learning points. Really appreciate you putting this podcast together! Only recommendation would be to add notes/time stamps to make it easy to return to a portion of your podcast to specifically review. I understand if this is too much work though. Great job and thanks again Scott!

2. Helpful for FNP candidate. - Thank you thank you thank you. I just passed my AANP exam. There is nothing like this in the FNP world. I listened to every episode as part of my review and used some of the pearls I learned on my brain dump sheet. It came in handy, especially the heart murmurs. I will continue to listen.

3. Life-Saving Podcast - This is the best tool I have in my toolbox as I study for EOR exams and the OSCEs of clinical year. You are truly incredible for taking time to produce such great content. All of my cohort swear by your podcast. You make it all make sense in a way that doesn’t make it feel like the firehouse of information. Thank you so much!

4. Time well-spent - Really wish I knew about this podcast during didactic year. I take PANCE in a couple of months, and while I have been studying the blueprint on my own, I tend to forget stuff, so coming here is such a good refresher. I listen to this in the car, or during a workout, time does not feel wasted. You make it very concise and easy to remember. Thank you for this!

5. I owe this podcast my LIFE - I’m in my second semester of PA school and have used as many episodes as I can to supplement my lectures, and you’ve explained several topics much clearer than anyone else has! Thank you for all of the time and effort you put into this podcast - MSU’s PA class ‘ thanks you!!

6. LOVE THIS PODCAST, wish episodes posted more frequently - I am a PA student in my didactic year and I love listening to this podcast on my drive to and from school!! I’m a commuter so I spend a lot of time on the road. These episodes have honestly saved me on so many questions on my exams. The only thing I wish is that he would post episodes a little more frequently. That’s the only reason I’m giving this four stars. Each episode is timed well and goes over the perfect amount of content. He also asks five quick questions at the end which I think is really great to test my knowledge. I will definitely continue to listen to these episodes into my rotations and in preparation for the PANCE!

7. CTP Review - I am a Family Nurse Practitioner student and I use these podcasts to review material. They have been very useful! The podcasts review the most relevant material on each topic. I listen to these while running and traveling in the car. These have really helped me succeed in NP school and I know they will help me when I start studying for my boards!
2022-08-18
8. My favorite podcast - This is the best podcast if you’re in PA school! I listen to it in what little time I have for exercise and getting outside and it is the best review! I love the question episodes for before the test and listened to it before I took the packrat. Haven’t taken the pance yet but I’m sure I’ll listen to it for that too! Everything is explained wonderfuly and the mneumonics are so helpful.

1. Inspiring and Energizing! - Regardless of where you are on your teaching journey - Angela is a must-listen voice along the way. Whether you’re looking for actionable advice to break through a current plateau, or just need a reminder that you can do this and it’ll be worth it on the other side - she’ll help you get there. Highly recommend listening and subscribing!

2. Retiring but staying with Angela - I am retiring this year from public school but am continuing to work with teachers by facilitating workshops and serving as a PD specialist for a large ed tech company. I still find Angela’s podcasts so relevant and helpful for anyone in the education field and plan to continue listening and following! Such trending and needed topics! Thanks, Angela! I discovered you years ago and am grateful for your work!
2023-02-19
3. A must-listen for new teacher, veterans, and a sustainable career! - I’ve been a major fan of Angela Watson for at least years now. When I was in my th year of teaching, I became an alumni of the hour teacher work week. I return to Angela’s systems and resources time and time again, but I listen for her blend of pragmatic solutions and candor (I LOVE when she speaks from the heart, the authenticity resonates!). We’ve listened to her podcasts for Dept staff PD, and I use the the “it won’t be easy, it’ll be worth it” mantra with my AP Spanish students. Her and her team’s podcast helped me maintain my sanity through distance teaching, and while our school transitioned to a block schedule. The content always evolves and reflects what her community asks for more of, and offers new ideas and voices in education worth listening to. Angela and her contributors acknowledge the challenges of public education, offer strategies, and eschew toxic positivity, with areas of inclusion of all teachers in all contexts. This podcast and its balance of support for teacher-guilt or burnout, mindfulness/mindset tools with optimism and advocacy is a must. Thank you for all you make available!!

4. So thankful for this podcast - As a teacher at a great school in a struggling district, in one of the lowest performing states in the country, I often worry about my access to the most current research and ideas in education. This podcast keeps me grounded in my belief that a teacher is the most important person in the room. A stressed kindergartner teacher is not as emotionally available to their classroom full of little learners. This podcast gives me the tools I need to stay grounded, take care of myself as a teacher, and therefore be the best teacher I can be every day. Thank you for normalizing the idea that teacher mental health is so important not just for teachers, but mostly for our students’ emotional well being and academic success.

5. Wow! - Awesome! It is a great podcast for teachers struggling to do it all. I’m starting my th year of teaching and still growing as an educator. Whenever colleagues approach me about mindset, classroom management concerns, instructional techniques…I share this podcast (and Angela’s books and website). Highly recommend!!

6. Best Teaching Podcast - I love that this podcast is never focused on complaining about our profession. Angela Watson offers insights for educators in a gentle manner. Her guests are all so well-informed and have relevant advice to share as well. My only complaint is that I only get one episode a week!
My first year of teaching, I listened to an episode almost every morning on my way into school. I’m so thankful for this podcast; it’s episodes have had a tremendous positive impact on my life, my peace of mind, and my teaching practices. Thank you Angela!

7. Practical and encouraging - I found this podcast last school year when I was looking for encouragement. It has impacted me in such a positive way that I have signed up for the hour program this summer. Angela has excellent advice and I love how she is supporting teachers with real problems and solutions. I can literally relate to so many of the episodes. Angela, thank you so much for pouring your heart into this work! YOU are making a difference, and I truly appreciate your efforts!

8. Great Way to Focus on Your Why - The last few years have been so hard in education but when I am especially frustrated I can always count on this podcast to bring me right back to center. As a hour member I have gained so much all while cleaning my house, exercising or working in my classroom. Thank you for being that REAL voice for what is going on and having a vision to aspire to!

1. Science of Reading in bite size nuggets! - Thanks Anna for putting together these easily digestible lessons on improving reading instruction using the best science of reading. As a veteran teacher, like you, who has spent years using leveled guided reading and wondered what I was missing, your podcast gives me hope that we can do better for our students. While the shift in teaching philosophy is huge, you do a fantastic job of taking one small component at a time and discussing it explicitly. I listen Monday morning on my way to work, and while I am always wishing there was MORE… I find that the nugget you drop is food for thought all week long as I work to improve my approach and inspire other teachers to do the same. I’ve listened to other podcasts on the same topic, and while equally inspirational, they fail to give the next steps to apply in the classroom, as you do. You take the science directly to the lesson, and I appreciate how easy you make that for me to do as well.
2022-03-23
2. Great explanation of the science of reading! - I listened to a previous free webinar that Anna did with another teacher about how to teach reading using the science of reading approach. I love that she taught “the other way” before and acknowledges the good parts of it. The main articles and posts that I see tearing down the science of reading seem to think that this replaces the entire language arts curriculum! It is a method of teaching children to read. I had already found, now that I’m working with young children (I was a th grade teacher in the classroom, but I now tutor K- plus all ages through high school with learning disabilities), that teaching the letter sounds was the first thing I had to do. I was looking for the best way to teach phonics, and this is it! Of course, their total ELA also consists of real literature, vocabulary, writing (my true specialty), handwriting (another specialty), and more. But many children don’t just “pick it up.” Especially the population I work with, which includes not only kids with disabilities, but kids whose parents speak English as a second language. Direct instruction in phonics, step-by-step instructions for writing, and intentional vocabulary instruction are important for helping these kids stay on track. So, am I a “traditional teacher?” Oh, my goodness no. My students do projects, write about their own topics, and study things they are interested in. But they can do this because they have this strong foundation. If you are not convinced about the science of reading, please learn more about how it can fit in with the rest of your curriculum. This is a great way - listen to the podcast in your car! Excellent resource.

3. Love the practical advice!! - In the world of "The Measured Mom" I am what one might refer to as a "Believa"! I keep a folder in my class of articles and mini lessons I've read by Anna Geiger that have to do with anything from reading do's and don'ts to activities for sight words. I visit my notes and folders often to help get the juices flowing for new ideas or to help me figure out my next steps for a struggling student. As usual, the material covered in your podcast about writing for Kindergarteners was to the point and logical. Thank you for sharing your understanding and talents with the rest of us!

4. Shared reading made easy—a refreshing podcast - She makes shared reading not only understandable but makes it fun for me and my students! Before listening to this podcast I was’t really making shared reading a priority with my student, I didn’t see the point of shared reading and now it’s become a fun part of our day. I can’t wait to listen to the other episodes to help me become a better teacher!
2020-02-24
5. Great Podcast! - I am a frequent user – and an avid fan – of The Measured Mom worksheets. This podcast provides a short, focused dose of Professional Development. As a teacher of English Learners, many of these concepts about writing will apply to my students, even if they’re in higher grades. The ideas in the podcast are laid out clearly and are very do-able. Thanks, Anna, for another high-quality resource!
2020-02-22
6. Specific, concise, helpful! - I enjoyed listening to Anna Geiger's, of The Measured Mom, new podcasts. I'm a veteran teacher, but found her information to be fresh, specific and helpful with an encouraging tone. I had forgotten how important "shared reading" is to a balanced literacy approach, and she offered reasons why and simple implementation strategies. Thanks!
2020-02-22
7. Love this podcast - I never realized how many separate skills are involved in teaching children to read, write and learn math. Anna breaks down this information into bite-sized chunks and focuses on one manageable piece in each short podcast. Her podcast and her website, The Measured Mom, complement each other so well. The website has more info and lots of free printables to help make my teaching more focused and effective.i learn something new from each episode.

1. So much value here - Thank you Dr Jeffries, and all of your co-presenters, for such a valuable resource! Our homeschooling family is in your debt. I was finally moved to write a review while listening to your renditions of classic TV themes from the s-s—ah-mazing Thanks for keeping it smart, real and entertaining. Love what you’ve created here!

2. Supportive & Essential - A deep heartfelt thanks to all who make this podcast possible. As a new teacher, I am anxious about my ability to give my students the learning experiences they deserve. This podcast is encouraging and masterfully created. Its structure and content are the kind of engaging and critical lessons I aspire to teach. I feel connected to the American education community when I listen to scholars from around the nation discuss how they teach our hard history in their classrooms. Dhanyawada!

3. Simply Amazing - This is truly one of the greatest resources for a social science teacher. Not only are the podcasts incredibly well researched and interesting to listen to but the resources and the instructional ideas are priceless. Listening to this podcast has a really informed and bolstered my instruction.
2020-12-18
4. Essential - This podcast should be required for every educator—especially K- teachers—in America. Beyond that, this is essential listening for every American. We cannot move forward and make a better America without understanding how this country was built and how we continue to benefit from slavery today. This podcast is brilliantly constructed and deeply informative—it’s compelling and I’m grateful to all who brought it into being.

5. A must listen for anyone who wants to dig deeper! - While I am not an educator not a student at the moment, I thoroughly enjoy this podcast and what it offers in helping understand history in a different light. It doesn’t hold back on presenting information that is oftentimes intentionally omitted or watered down in society and institutions at large. At the same time, it does its job in emboldening educators to teach even “the hard history” in a way their students can learn, relate and understand. For this, it works for any and all. Highly recommended.

6. A must-listen for Educators - This is a must-listen for anyone who teaches American History, but also anyone who wants to do better, in terms of understanding our past and reshaping the future. I will be sharing with my colleagues and social media groups and I hope they really choose to give it a go!

7. It’s Given Me Purpose - A while ago I realized I wanted to be a teacher. Shortly after that, I realized I wanted to be a History Professor. As I’ll be going to college soon, I set out to do research on history. After running into this one and realizing the different methods educators put on “hard history” is truly amazing! If your interested in methods on teaching or just knowing more about African America history, look no further!
2019-05-20
8. Extremely enlightening - To be a mixed man with black and white races, I face a biased opinion on how to teach young people about the TRUTH to slavery. The conversation the Professor had with his daughter burned my chest... the silence after her response to learning of slavery broke my heart. Hands down every episode was very educational.

1. A lifesaver for NP students - I’m doing my clinical rotations for NP school now and Liz has been an amazing resource. I walk while listening to the podcast and it helps me absorb the information differently from when I read my textbook. But I didn’t fully appreciate the value of the information provided until I got to clinicals. During the didactic portion of my program, the “real world” information was still a bit abstract because I wasn’t interacting with real patients. About halfway through my very first clinical day, I bought Liz’s binder! I leave it open on my computer along with UpToDate and my other clinical resources. I print out the templates for the exam type so I’m sure I’m getting all the information needed. But I think the greatest thing about Liz is just the fact that she is so darn nice! Healthcare is stressful and the clear concise and compassionate way she presents the information has helped me to stay calm and connect with patients in a meaningful way. I find myself using her communication techniques all the time and she’s helped me see things from new perspectives. I always learn something new that I immediately get to apply in practice. She helps make sense of the million things you learn in your program!

2. Great for NP students! - I have been watching Liz’s YouTube videos and been an email subscriber for a little over a year. She provides such amazing advice for NP students and New NPs! Can’t thank her enough for the quality of her content and the positivity she brings to this space! So excited about these podcasts and the opportunity to listen to Liz on my commutes!

3. Great info for new (and old) NPs alike - I’ve been practicing as an NP in a speciality for over years but absolutely love Liz and this podcast! I listen on my way to work and find that it refreshes my memory on all sorts of important topics! Very appreciative of all the time and effort she puts into educating new (and old) NPs alike!
2021-08-07
4. Podcast Perfect! - I’ve followed Liz on Instagram for the last months of my NP program and now as I transition into FNP world. Was beyond excited for the announcement of podcasts! The information she provides is invaluable, especially to new NPs and even students. She is such a great resource and her podcasts are perfect, especially to listen in the car or getting your steps in on a lunch break. You will not regret listening to or subscribing to her podcast!
2021-08-06
5. Grateful for this!! - Beyond excited that Liz is starting this podcast! When I started my NP student journey I searched for NP focused podcasts to listen to on my way to class and clinical to no avail. This is going to be a game changer. One podcast in and I’m hooked! I had to subscribe because I don’t want to miss an episode.

6. You’re Awesome - Thank you for investing in my future. I enjoy you enthusiasm and the information detail is phenomenal. Because of you I am able to feel more confident in my daily practice. I purchased your cheat sheets and have not looked back. We need more in the world willing to motivate novice nurse practitioners. Keep up the good work.

7. A MUST HAVE reference for new NPs - Real world Np came into my life right after I passed my AANP boards- I swear it was a gift from above. Liz makes reviews of a variety of need to know NP topics SO EASY to review and understand. After falling in love with her videos, I quickly jumped at the other resources she offered including the NP binder and the lab interpretation course- and everything is worth EVERY penny! Having this podcast to listen to in the go is an amazing resource for all of us baby NPs!
Thank you Real world NP!

8. Incredibly helpful resource for new NPs and clinical students - I am an FNP student currently completing my clinical hours, and I am so, so grateful that a friend referred me to Real World NP. It's exactly what I've been looking for to help me review material in a practical way that is honed specifically to the learning needs of clinical students and new NPs as we jump into practice. I love how the material is specific to NP scope- it is pared down enough to really stick in the brain while still incorporating the needed complexity. The encouraging, reassuring spirit that Liz always brings is also so needed and probably does as much to support my practice as the actual content. I am excited she has released podcasts now in addition to the YouTube videos- I'll be listening whenever I walk my dog!

1. One of the BEST autism podcasts out there - As a parent this podcast of our year old nonspeaking autistic son has been instrumental for us! Even early Episodes like , transforming the parent perspective resonated so strongly with us. And then episodes from autistic perspectives we make sure to listen to. Idos episode and his book changed our lives. I have been listening to this podcast for a year and don’t miss any of the new episodes, and continue to listen to older ones too. Compared to other podcasts out there this is leagues ahead in the neurodiversity movement and is a breath of fresh air regarding the ways to embrace autistics. Keep the eps coming!
2023-03-20
2. Obsessed is an understatement. - I am a K- Extensive Support Needs teacher of autistics. We’ve changed our language with students, our strategies with students, and stopped doing everything that never felt “quite right,” and it started with this podcast. You do truly incredible work. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I will listen every day forever!
2023-03-15
3. Love you even if you dislike me! - I’m a BCBA and love the episodes I’ve heard so far. The social curriculum especially was so great in helping me shape how to support my clients to be their best selves. It’s clear you don’t like ABA, which just adds to the divisive narrative out there, but we like learning how to promote autistic joy so keep sharing!
2023-03-02
4. Misguided and uninformed - The Anti- behavioral slander in this podcast is an extremely dangerous to effective treatment to the autistic community. Yes ABA has a lot of room for growth but to completely dismiss it and to preach that OT will solve all behavioral issues is not appropriate. When ABA, Speech, and OT work harmoniously together, beautiful results occur. We can all learn from each other and still work a common goal. It would be really nice to see a BCBA on the podcast whose values align with what is being talked about on this platform. There are BCBA’s who agree with you!

5. Incredible resource!! - Thank you so much Meg and LPT team for creating this podcast and making it available FOR FREE - what an incredible gift to the world. I especially appreciate how Meg always brings the conversation with guests back to “but what can we do today??” I’m an SLP in a public elementary school, and I recommend this podcast to any educator, parent, or human.

6. So helpful for a piano teacher - I’m a piano teacher, not an OT, but I work with a lot of autistic students. This information is life changing! I’m learning so much about how to work with my students based on their STRENGTHS. I’ve observed OTs in schools targeting strictly fine motor skills or sensory integration, so I’ve always compartmentalized those things in my mind too. Now I see that they’re part of a much bigger picture and that we should teach based on strengths rather than make goals based on deficits.

7. Writing Strengths Based Goals - Definitely made me want to go through all my clients’ goals and revamp them! By the way, this information is extremely helpful for not just our neurodivergent clients but ALL my clients! Loved the part about calling out handwriting goals. Now we just need to bring everyone on board. Many thanks.

8. Amazing and necessary! - I have listened to three episodes so far and each one creates BIG feelings, as they said in the first episode. On each episode I feel a multitude of emotions: sometimes validated in what I have been doing in my practice, very often feeling like I have been working in a vacuum and why did I not know this??, guilt that I should be doing better/should have know better, and blown away by the different perspectives...thank you so much Meg Proctor for creating this podcast to share your and your guests’ experience with us so we can better support those we work with. This is a must podcast for all OTs working with autistic people.

1. 감사핲니다! - I’ve been learning Korean because I am a half, and it’s been really wonderful to listen to this. My favorite episodes were the ones that taught me more casual conversations, because most other websites try to teach words that are hard to understand, and they aren’t used very often. I recommend talk to ma in Korean podcast, YouTube, and everything else. Thank you ! 하트!!

2. Do yourself a favor... - Written out only % of the core lessons at pages in. Tons of examples to review at your own speed after simple and thorough explanations. This should every student’s starting curriculum. If you’re brand new, study the alphabet first (with a taste of Batchim) and pick this up! Good to go.

3. MY PODCAST EVER - Okay so I’m a beginner to learning Korean but omg I love this podcast so much. They explain everything so well and they repeat it a few times so you can really understand how everything is pronounced. They also seem to really be enjoying what they do which is really refreshing because sometimes people do podcasts and they sound really bored but I always enjoy listening to their podcasts. Also if y’all don’t have the TTMIK workbook I highly suggest you get one because you can use it while listening to the lessons and it’s so helpful!! Thank you TTMIK!!

4. Great for Language Lessons, Culture Discussions, and More - Hands down, this podcast is one of the best. The folks at Talk to Me in Korean produce incredible content ranging from their free online lessons to textbooks and podcasts to videos. I listen to these to help reinforce Korean pronunciation as a beginner student.

5. Learning Korean From Start to Finish! - This is the best way to learn Korean online. Nothing comes close the Talk to Me in Korean. Their podcasts, videos, and website are super helpful and they are always answering questions. They always use the most popular and natural sounding words and phrases so you sound more fluent. It really helps that they give a nice explanation and clear pronunciation. They also have lessons for all levels of Korean. You can find things for beginners, intermediate, or even lessons on popular slang or idioms! My favorite thing about TTMIK and why I think it is one of the best Korean language learning programs online (free or not) is that it takes things slow. Many people complain about the slow pace but it actually is smart because it gives time for the brain to fully understand, comprehend, and remember details. If it's faster you won't remember as well later on. I love TTMIK and I plan on buying their books very soon. You guys are awesome!

6. Problems with this podcast - The first podcasts of Level I was able to download were terrific.... however.... ..... I'm subscribed to the TTMIK podcast through itunes and the first lessons in Level downloaded fine. However, no more Level podcasts download until Level Lesson and . In addition, there are no Levels , , , , , or podcasts available through itunes. I can't seem to get any help from the people at the website.... would love to get this issue resolved as I'd like to continue listening on my ipod.

7. Great short lessons - I love the format of the lessons, they are short and simple and yet still provide insight into the everyday use and meaning of words and phrases. However, there is some problem with my iphone and ipad podcast software that causes all the level - lessons to disappear before i have played them, and the only way i can get them back is by deleting the podcast and then resubscribing. Weird.

8. Among the Best - Talk to Me in Korean lessons are concise, accessible, and fun thanks to this knowledgeable team of ever-encouraging and enthusiastic instructors. I've learned an incredible amount in such a short time, and I am so grateful for all their efforts at TTMIK. Check out the website as well for links to more language learning resources. Thank you, TTMIK!

1. My favorite homeschooling podcast! - I love setting aside time for the IEW podcast. It is always so inspirational. I’ve been homeschooling my children since , and I still enjoy all of the educational tips and encouragement found here. It’s not just about IEW’s curriculum products; there is so much about learning, teaching, reading, writing, speaking, and education that is so beneficial to teachers and parents alike.

2. Enjoying podcast - When I’m asked what my favorite podcasts are, I definitely included this one. I have learned so much from listening and can’t wait for my children to be old enough to teach them to write using IEW materials. But I love listening because I learn so much more than just about writing. Thank you for this podcast.

3. IEW never disappoints. - I have been listening to this podcast for many years. I look forward to it every week and it never disappoints. Their content has influenced me as a person, as a homeschool parent and as a writer. Now my own children are learning how to organize their thoughts and communicate them effectively through their writing programs. I love this podcast and you will love it too.
2021-08-21
4. Excellent writing advice - I started using IEW after my three kids were doing the online learning in the spring of . Even though they attended school online in I wanted to work with them on writing so I purchased the Ancient History based writing workbooks and invested in the streaming videos to teach myself. Along with that I listened weekly to this podcast to become a better writing teacher. Over the past year all three of my kids have become much better writers and I could have never taught them without the wisdom provided in this podcast and the source texts provided in the workbooks. I am also having my kids use IEW’s Fix It grammar to compliment the writing workbook. Trust the process and listen to this podcast if you want to understand the thinking behind it.

5. Valuable wisdom!!! - Mr. Andrew Pudewa has so much wisdom to offer, not only in academics but also in teaching, even parenting! Julie and Andrew make a great team. She always knows how to bring the best insight out of him! Their secret ingredients are their passion and firm believes toward this method of teaching. Despite the fact that our two kids go to a five-days-a-week charter school, I find that all of Andrew’s wisdom, and the IEW writing and grammar curriculums, very applicable and useful to our family in educating our children, and myself! Thank you, Andrew, for being so generous in sharing many of your valuable conference talks for free on your websites. Listening to both this podcast and your on-line talks greatly helps me to better internalize the insights and to apply them in teaching my family!

6. On your side - IEW is the greatest! Many years ago, I briefly tried to homeschool my learning-disabled son after every other form of schooling didn't work for him. How I wish I would have known about IEW, its positive message and plethora of parental supports back then! The Arts of Language Podcast is just one of the many ways IEW is there for parents, teachers, and students. From the time your toddler is old enough to memorize "Ooey Gooey" until the day they graduate from high school, IEW is on your side. Thanks Julie and Andrew!

7. Julie and Andrew are the BEST! - I've been sitting here trying to think of a clever title to catch your eye and the only thing I could think of was "Julie and Andrew are the Best" because that is what I think every time I listen to them. I'm an old homeschooling mom - old as in literally not as in I've been homeschooling forever - who beats her head against the wall frequently because she doesn't know why she's doing this. Then I listen to Andrew and I know why. Yes - he's the "writing guy" and his products are head and shoulders above the rest. But he's also a big picture guy. Every podcast truly is a lesson in "The Arts of Language". And I would emphasize Arts. You also will learn more about educating children and how to educate children as individuals than you can possibly imagine. If you're not using their products and are interested in them you will be quickly won over. If you're a user and are just curious about the podcast, you will soon think you're a genius for using his products. I usually will "save" up a couple of episodes and then binge listen - when I'm done I'm usually disappointed because I want more! And thankfully there will be. Julie - you are a delight to listen to. Thank you for making a delightful product to listen to and learn from.

8. Wonderfully informative - Whether or not you use IEW's programs, this is a podcast well worth listening to. Mr. Pudewa is a very eloquent and informative speaker, and there is much to be gained from each and every episode. I love the term the Arts of Language. This program has made me much more conscientious of the arts of language as taught in our home, and our approach to it. I found the podcast first, and then bought the program as I was so impressed with the free podcast content. I was not disappointed. Well worth the time to listen. Five stars.

I envy you, for being such a man doing such a great job to bring us a unique type of pure happiness, "happiness of knowing"-knowing who we are, where we are, and where we are going to-let alone totally changing people's points of views and even lives positively. I look up on you and I take that as my own motivation so that I also create some good stuff for others in turn. Great man. Please keep doing this.

2. Golden Nugget - It took me a while to come around to trusting Dean. I do find him authentic, sincere and knowledgeable after learning of his journey. I was in the midst of writing a book on the topic of successfully talking in front of others when on my drive how I listened to his podcast. In this podcast he gave me a golden nugget that spoke directly to the subject matter of my book. I always keep my eye out for such golden nuggets from whatever setting I find myself. The golden nugget was, (“What’s next?” not “Why this?”) There are other ways to say it when referring to the point of a talk, but this captures in words the ultimate reason for the talk. What more do I need to know so I can change and or improve my actions for the better for myself and those around me. Thank you Dean!

Great for entrepreneurs and for anyone searching for personal growth. I relate to some of Dean’s life journeys and I’m truly blessed I started listening to this podcast. 5. Great word on procrastination - Dean does a great job breaking down how so many of our hesitations and procrastinations are tied to our fear. I love the concept of thinking through what it would be like to be in the same place years from now and using that fear as a catalyst to drive forward. Thank you for taking the time to share with us, I always find your thought valuable! They have a positive impact on many, keep it up. -Chris

6. Making the difficult authentically simple - Dean’s authentic simplicity and underdog life experience weaves an ‘I Can DO’ mindset & heart-set excitement about what is possible. 7. Inspiration Bomb - He’s just the right pop of energy .. not annoying or fake like some inpsirational speakers. It feels like you’re listening to an old buddy or a brother who’s excited to tell SHARE his success with you so you can get there. No selling of anything just wants the best for people

8. Real Talk - I’m new to Dean, but have been inhaling these episodes like oxygen! As someone in the audio world, it drove me crazy at first that everything sounds like he recorded straight to his phone (and probably did!) Like...this guy doesn’t have the money to have some kind of decent setup??? But then it hit me. He does his podcasts like he writes his books. Completely spontaneous and only when truly inspired. And you know what? It may not ‘sound’ (audio-wise) professional, but I love the off the cuff advice more than the highly produced- and possibly scripted- stuff I hear from other folks in the industry. There’s nothing wrong with that, but this is the real deal. Keep it up, Dean! Loving every one.

2. So many great books! - I started listening a few months ago. I’m listening front the beginning, and I’ve bought so many books!! I’m not sure when I’ll have time to get them all read, but I will be well prepared for my return to school! I also LOVE how honest everyone is about teaching. It makes me feel better to know the others that push through struggles and that it’s really your th year when you start to get “good” this perfectionist needed to hear that! Lol

3. So Annoying - So annoying that the innuendo is that Trump’s administration engendered some kind of bullying culture in schools. Stop blaming the reflection in the mirror. Bullying is an age old issue which has more to do with the mental health of the ‘bully’ and the ‘victim’ than any administration. ‘Poor kids are just as smart as white kids’. How about tearing that that heinous comment apart?

4. So much to learn! - As a pre service teacher, it is so exciting to listen to episodes full of advice, wise knowledge, experience, new mindsets, tips/tricks, and more. It is also incredibly exciting to hear conversations validating potentially controversial opinions about how I wish to run my future classroom. Keep doing what you’re doing! Always offering multiple perspectives, viewpoints, and resources has made a world of a difference in my confidence and education outside of formal academics!

5. Love this podcast! - As a first year teacher, I’ve learned so much about current teaching issues, ideas, and strategies by listening to this podcast. My favorite aspect of this podcast is that Jacob actively listens to his guests rather than engaging in arguments over disagreements. It creates an open-minded environment that I crave in this day and age.

6. First time listener and I really like it! - I listened to the parts of the CRT discussion. Part with Givens was pretty okay. Part with Robinson was extremely difficult to listen to. Everything was based on his feelings and little research, if any. I appreciate the host’s ability to question both parties in a challenging yet non-offensive way. I will be listening again.

7. Listening to Learn - I am a Pandemic-retired teacher from
GA and just recently returned to teaching in SC (home), and I needed to dig in to education for a refresher. I found this lovely podcast. I have been listening all summer. Not only is the intro music motivating, the podcaster voice is pleasing to the ear. His content so far has been spot on and relevant to me as a teacher specifically in terms of literacy and lately because he uses civil discourse to acknowledge the challenging environment in which we teach and LEARN. Thank you for your insight and your modeling of what makes education powerful.

8. Revived! - Every time I listen to this podcast I get excited about teaching. Most of the time, I’m mowing while I listen, and I can’t imagine what the neighbors think because I’m nodding in agreement or with my mouth open thinking about how I’m going to use these ideas in my classroom! I’d love to hear about more ideas for the elementary classroom! Thank you for your hard work!

1. Great content, excellent teacher! - Found this podcast about six months ago. I’ve just started some of my accounting courses and this has been extremely helpful! I’ve already recommended it to several classmates. I’ve listened to all the episodes multiple times and learn more with each review! If you’re interested in learning accounting, this podcast is % worth your time! Thanks Jimmy

2. Amazing Breakdown of Fundamentals - This was extremely easy to follow! I love how the first few episodes are strictly fundamentals that are explained more in-depth later once the concept is grasped by the listener. I did have a question after episode two or three. I sent an email and was responded to promptly! I have since recommended this podcast to four of my other classmates. I hope he comes out with intermediate and advance accounting podcasts as my degree continues!! /

3. Great Accounting refresher app - I listened to this app several years after having taken accounting classes. This is a great app to help refresh your accounting memory. Jimmy does a great job of explaining the fundamentals. Even after having taken several accounting courses in the past, I was still very interested in listening to Jimmy’s podcast of accounting. I even played each episode more than once.

4. Good supplemental accounting Info - I have been transitioning to accounting and have taken classes for about years. Wanted to quickly go through this podcast to supplement my knowledge. Overall a good podcast. Even being interested in accounting I found myself tuning out some, but worthwhile to keep practicing, learning and re-reviewing accounting topics.

5. Excellent Introduction to Fundamentals - I recently switched careers to accounting. I am also halfway through my journey of a masters in accounting. This podcast is a good refresher of financial accounting necessary for entry level accountants. The host does an excellent job describing the key fundamentals that influence the practical application of accounting work. Five stars!

6. Straightforward and very helpful - I have an advanced degree in tax law but no formal training in basic accounting. This is helping me build a foundation to fill this gap in my knowledge. I wish I could slow down the playback to % bc he talks a little fast for me. He explains things very carefully, and I appreciate this podcast.

7. Worth the listen IF you’re struggling like myself in Accounting - So far I like the approach on the introduction and the explanation of accounting with the debts and credits, but what I would like to hear more would be adjusting entries, I find myself struggling with examples and understanding the point behind it and why it is the way it is. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this podcast.

8. Great! - I knew nothing about accounting when I started listening to this. I like the order in which topics are presented, and I like how careful he is to detail each step of the processes he’s explaining (ex- reiterating debit vs credit and how they affect different types of accounts when he references those types of accounts).
