1. Lifesaver! - As a result of a painful bowel movement after a bout of constipation, we had been seriously struggling with our yr old son REFUSING to poop. As a parent, it has been the most difficult struggle to see our son in pain, know the solution, and have him scream and yell while he tried to avoid giving in. I didn’t realize that something that should be just a normal human function could be such an ordeal. After months of struggling, doctor visits and laxatives, he was still going - days between bowel movements. When he finally realized he could no longer hold it, it would take hours to convince him to just TRY to poop. I was emotionally defeated. We could hardly even go to dinner without him screaming that his stomach hurt. I was constantly looking online for ideas and solutions and I tried everything from blowing bubbles, holding his hand, making him earn screen time by sitting on the potty. Nothing worked. He seemed traumatized and we couldn’t even pin point an instance that caused it. Finally I stumbled across this book that let me know I was not alone and that this could get very serious if I didn’t try harder and move quickly. After reading the whole book, and armed with my new knowledge, I used a modified version of one of the charts and it worked on the very first night. I almost cried I was so relieved. He had gone so long without intending to poop (it normally came out against his will) that he had forgotten how to push. The chart helped me keep him calm and teach him how to be in control. It’s only been a few days but he’s gone twice now with no crying and no anxiety. I truly could not be more grateful and he is so proud of himself. If you are a parent struggling with toddler constipation or withholding, read this book!

2. Awesome Book!!! - This is an "Amazing" book! I love the way Dr. Lee explains the importance of our daily choices and the impact they have on our heart. My hope is that every parent gets this book for their kids and it elicits better choices by not only their children but the parents as well. I bought two additional books to keep in my reception room at my clinic! I love educating patients to make better choices and accept responsibility for their health. 3. Fantastic, Fun, Heart-Healthy Message - Most adults are aware that heart disease is the killer in the US. Every seconds someone dies of a heart attack or stroke. Many of these cases are completely preventable. Bravo Dr. Lee for helping prevent premature death by starting with children! This book is entertaining and interactive--kids will love learning about their precious heart and ways to protect it. I'll even be using the book with my adult patients!

4. Kids read it over and over again! - I have kids ages , , & and they all found it interesting and funny. They have read it multiple times as the like the story, graphics & sounds. As a parent, it is important for kids to understand they need to make the right choices. This book cleverly shows that kids need to think about what they eat and how much exercise they get. 5. My kids loved the book! - What a terrific book! We loved reading it!! Finally, a book my kids (ages and ) could relate to and gain appreciation for their very special heart! They were both engaged in the fun interactive pages. The visuals, music, and choice of words really make a strong point to make the best choices to be their best. The book was a great learning tool for my kids to know what they do, impacts them short and long term. They learned they can make a difference.
