1. Even better - I thought this prequel was even better than the first books. It took us into the heart and soul of the future leader when he was still a malleable teen and young man. It showed us how, despite his wrong-headed prejudices and egotism, to sympathize with him, and care about him. And it ultimately showed us how his heart, teetering between right and wrong, was turned forever to the evil path he was destined to take.

2. Lagged on/ no character growth - A lot of details was not necessary, and even for a villain to be the main character he should of had at least some character depth/growth into why he becomes a tyrant but no he’s a tyrant through and through which what made the story fall flat to me, but if you don’t mind a character growth kudos to you. The story was pretty decent.
Overall the way he view the world never changed which was a big reason the story didn’t live up to its potential. Hopefully the movie fix the problem.
Enjoy.

3. Awesome book, stars, not five. - I really love this book I was super happy/sad when Snow killed Lucy Gray and loved all of the connections to the hunger game (The song The Hanging Tree, the lake and the concert houses, Lucy Gray talked about katniss roots, etc) over all this was favorite book in the series, started reading the first one fourth grade (-) and finished the series this year! Highly recommend Maze Runner if you liked this series!

4. Must Read! (Ivywhisker of AU TC) - This is a great book that, even though I haven’t read the hunger games since last year, drew me right back in. I’ve read it times since I got it and I rarely reread books, I just speed on to the next one since I LOVE TO READ. vy or Ivywhisker of AU ThunderClan Rainfall the RainWing SkyWing
Kirana the Froster (KOTLC)
Dessa, daughter of Medusa and Jafar (descendants)
Ke’dara the Twi’lek (Star Wars)
Hamiri, the female tribute from District (shame on me I’ve forgotten what the others specialize in)

5. i love this but soooo expensive - ok lemme just say in advance that the hunger games is my favorite book series of all time and i have all of them hardcover and downloaded and ive watched all the movies several times now........imma speak my mind WHY THE FUDGE IS THIS BOOK TEN DOLLARS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE FIRST ONE THE FIRST ONE IS EIGHT BUCKS AND THIS IS EIGHTEEN THAT IS MESSED UP ok thx

6. Decent - I enjoyed the book personally. Although it’s not as popular as the other books. It has a good story and makes you feel emotion for the characters. Although it did get lagging at times it was honestly a good book. I’m not giving it stars because it didn’t go in detail as much as I wanted it to

7. MORE MORE MORE - This might be my favorite book by Suzanne Collins to date!! I really caught myself rooting for Snow and wanting him to triumph even though I know what he becomes. I hope that she writes another prequel in his perspective!! I really fell in love with Snow in this book, and the twist at the end was so unexpected, even though I would have expected it before reading, if that makes sense?

8. Snow is Out of Character - Snow’s character is not what I expected. He is too compassionate, empathetic, and full of love until the end of the book and it switches all of a sudden. We see too much of the anti-hero these days having our sympathies for the life and plight of the villain. Collins does a good job of taking away any warm and fuzzy feelings for Snow in the end in my opinion, but leads us on that Snow is something he is not. The book may have also tried too hard to connect too much to the Hunger Games Trilogy. I feel that’s unnecessary. It should have been more natural connections or leave it where it is. It reminded me of the old fashioned movies from the ’s and ’s when the climax would happen right before the movie ends. That was how quick Snow’s character changed. I do love that there is more of Panem, more Hunger Games to read and experience and I hope there is more in the future. I’m a fan either way. Love the world that Collins has created for us to be part of.

9. Amazing! - this is my favorite book in the hunger games. i love how you go from hating Snow to wanting him to succeed. i love how much detail Suzanne put into this book. made my heart race. i could never put it down… i went from loving Lucy Gray to hating her. this book is amazing and i definitely recommend! (thought i do recommend reading the first books so you understand the main concept, then move on to this book. either way, this is a great book and i’d love
to see more people read it!

10. Deadly Choices - There are hard to describe nuances that make the Hunger Games series more engaging for audiences beyond the intended age range. Maybe it’s the coming of age story that grates so violently against the bitter reality of life that we all know. These passages often trigger reflections of when our own romantic ideals of the world went up in smoke. Or maybe it’s the myriad of questions about the order of things that that the series prompts. Like how does the world whittle down to a contracted state like that of Panem and it’s Districts? Are we good natured at the core, and then pushed over the line by circumstance? Or rather, is who we really are just revealed by the pressure of our environment? Collins has done a great job recreating those same debates and introspections in this prequel. Though at times predictable and slow, it does pull you in and the characters are given proper development and mystery. I only wish that the pre-war Panem was covered more in the prequel than just Snow’s backstory.

11. Overall, very well written - I won't lie, I did have some problems with the book. I thought it was a little bit too long and could have been shortened by leaving out some extra details. These problems were minor, however. The book itself was very well written and left me stunned by the end. I didn't even figure out the title until after I finished reading. Lucy Gray was the songbird, Coriolanus the snake, and this was a ballad about them. Their story. The whole time, Suzanne Collins leaned between making Coriolanus a decent person and making him seem like he actually cares about Lucy Gray, and showing his more selfish, ruthless, and manipulative side, (despite that fact that we already know is in President Snow.) I felt for Snow, even knowing what he would do in the future. In addition, the book explained many things about Snow as well as Katniss and her father, and showed how the Hunger Games evolved from the th to th Hunger Games, which I, as a Hunger Games fan, felt was interesting to read about. These are my thoughts on the book.

12. Great addition to the Hunger Games series - Great read that incorporates so much history of the original books that leave you pleasantly surprised. It makes you almost want to root for Snow at some points before you remember just who your dealing with. I’m so happy this books exists and honestly would love if she decided to indulge further into this perspective, even to go as far as to bring His point of view on Katniss during those games. I was worried about this was not going to live up to the other books, but it definitely does.

1. Really interesting - This is a really nice book, I read the entire series. It is kid of dark with all the murderous kids chasing each other, but it does have a little bit of humor. SPOILER ALERT!PLEASE BACK OFF IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO READ SPOILERS! my favorite part about shooting the apple is when katniss says “thank you for your consideration” and even better, haymitch’s reaction. I like the scenes with caesar flickerman however you say his name. And the way Katniss talks in public compared to Peeta. It took me a long time to fully accept all these characters like rue and stuff were going to die. I miss them, I wish they could still be in the series.

2. BEST SERIES EVER - I love this book series so much and it’s mind-blowingly awesome. I’m only and this was a great read. I feel like the character I relate to most was Rue. I cried so much [SPOILER ALERT] when she died. Happy and sad tears. That moment was so moving and it was truly incredible and heartwarming. I really recommend the series. I’m on book (Mockingjay) currently. This series is amazing and I’ve been staying up till like am reading because it’s actually too good. Set a timer so you don’t end up pulling an all-nighter because of a book. Tbh the hunger games sounds kinda fun if the tributes respawned like Roblox people. Wouldn’t you agree? Anyway YOU HAVE TO READ IT!!! I like book the best because it’s always the first book is the best. There are some parts that COULD seem disturbing, but not anything to worry about. No swear words or anything so it’s pretty good for like tweens and young adults. It’s a great book for middle schoolers and beyond, but you can still read it in elementary. Some things I would love to see though would be: . I really want to see Katniss dump Peeta because I just don’t feel that their love is right. . I want a small book alongside this series from Peeta’s perspective. {end of list}. I really love all the tension and suspense that builds up while reading and I love all the characterization that happens in this story. One of my favorite parts of the story [SPOILER ALERT] is when Katniss pulls out the berries and they try to commit a double suicide. Of course that went well with the capitol! This book makes you appreciate what you have and why you should be grateful for it. I really recommend this book it is the best book I’ve ever read. Thank you for reading this (very long) review! I hope you enjoy the book! “May the odds be ever in your favor…” Well they were sure in mine! -Leez PS: WHYYY DID YOU HAVE TO SPOIL A DETH, CATSRULEFOREVER

3. If you wanna be wowed, read this. - I’m sure most people have heard of this book, and have seen reviews about it. This was the second series that I ever read while getting into reading, and it definitely helped to make my hobby grow! This book is perfect for all reading statuses. Whether you have been reading for years, and you’re an adult, or you are just getting into it, I think that you will enjoy it! The plot is so unique and riveting. The characters are so interesting to get to know. There is some romance, but nothing inappropriate, or not kid friendly! I read this while I was in middle school, and I’m in high school currently. Even now, I can still remember the plot, and how some of the lines made me feel! It has some great messages as well. Overall, I would suggest this book to honestly anyone, so I would highly suggest that YOU read it!

4. Top tier YA novel - The Hunger Games series and it’s reception by the public has always been an excellent example of dystopian storytelling and reception. It has high re-readability and in my opinion has excellent flow. I found Katniss very easy to relate to, and President Snow is a fantastic villain.

5. Wow - I only read the sample and I was hooked! Unfortunately, my mother probably won’t let me get the book because I am and the genre is young adult. Still, this book seems great and I wish the sample was longer. I am currently a huge fan of Wings of Fire by Tui. T Sutherland and just by reading the sample I can tell I will be a fan of this one too. Also I saw in a review [SPOILER ALERT] That Rue dies. Why do people put spoilers without a warning? As soon as I met Rue in the books I think “Thats the girl who dies.” This is why I hate spoilers it ruins the experience I wanted to be surprised if a character dies instead im going to be yawning because I already knew it would happen. People who spoil, I hope you have a bad day :) I probably shouldn’t be this upset but COME ON have common sense maybe instead of carelessly spoiling a major scene in the book you could have at least hinted at it or said something like “My favorite character died.” At least then I wouldn’t have known who. I always get spoiled for shows, movies, and books I hate it MOST when it’s books since I read so much. Like please think before you speak or in this instance type.

6. best dystopian book ever written - this book and book series have been such an incredible help for me. ever since i started reading i’ve always had a difficult time finding enjoyable books to read. this book and series and are a definite must read for avid readers and even to people who rarely touch books.

7. Incredible Read! - Having watched the movie, I wish I read the book first. The book and the movie are equally as good, but I feel there are things in each that should’ve been included in the other. I love reading the book because I could picture everything as if it were happening in front of me. The descriptions were amazing on their own, but the empathy I have for Katniss and Peeta? Outstanding. A job well done. I wish I could read this from his perspective. For anyone who hasn’t watched or read either, this is a MUST read. Will definitely have you appreciating your current circumstances.

10. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes AMOGUS - I read when I was and was soooo attached to it. Now years later I still can’t get my head out of it! I recommend you read Suzanne Collins’s other books such as A Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes. It really gives the inside scoop of what’s going on in President Snow’s head at the time of Katniss. Would recommend.

11. Amazing - Well overall I thought this was gonna be the worst book ever. But when I first opened it to chapter I couldn’t put it down it was amazing!!! Suzanne Collins did a great job on this book I can’t wait to see if there’s more (possibly not but I hope!!) books to come!! Overall DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! This is amazing just gonna say and recommend to young readers round the globe who like thrillers and action packed books

12. Amazing - I loved it! I read this book with some friends in a book club and we all loved it so much. I love the suspense and I couldn’t stop reading. There is some gore and sad/death scenes (only a couple). And I myself do not like those kind of scenes and so I just skipped those parts. Books are really great! Definitely recommend this book for ages !

1. BEST SERIES EVER - I literally love this book trilogy so much. The first two books are tied for my favorite in the series. The last one is much darker than the first two, but still a good book. The love triangle is so freakin awesome. I love it. After I finished the series, I made sure to watch all of the movies and I’m definitely going to reread the trilogy. Also, if you’re team Gale…I HATE YOU. Gale is literally so annoying and pushes things if ya know what I mean. Anyways, I would recommend this book to people over the age of because it talks about different types of abuse, though it doesn’t talk about it much in detail. Especially the last one, which talks about sx slaves and other things like that. So definitely on that. The last book is slow paced and the longest in the series, but, like I said, it’s a good book overall. Many strict parents say “oh it’s kids killing kids” but it’s only the first book. Plus, that’s what makes it exciting. There’s rarely bad words and no cuss words, except in the movies. It’s a great trilogy and after I finished reading it, I wanted to cry because of how beautiful and tragic the ending is. It’s not scary except for one part in the third book. I listened to the first book on an audiobook and loved it, so I would read either way if wished. So, overall, READ THE DANG SERIES. That’s all I need to say. Thanks for reading my review, I appreciate it love!

2. BEST BOOK EVER. - These books had me in an obsession. I read these ages and and OH MY GOSH THESE ARE THE BEST BOOKS READ IT NOW! These are my favorite books and made me get into archery (obviously) and Katniss and her feelings and the way they are written is so well executed that they made me want to write books of my own.

3. SPOILERS AHEAD! Read at your own risk! - I miss Cinna he was for some reason my favorite character The books were amazing. Truly works of art. If you like this, then I reccomend:
The Unwanteds series by Lisa McMann
The Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan
ALL THE OTHER BOOKS BY RICK RIORDAN TOO BC RICK RIORDAN
The Lotus War series by Jay Kristoff
The Dark Heavens series by Kylie Chan
The Wings Of Fire series by Tui T. Sutherland
The Warrior Cats series by the pen name Erin Hunter
Idk some of those aren’t related to this book at all they’re just my favorite series right now (and probably ever) it’s just my personal opinion I am not telling you to read any of these books! Ivywhisker of alternate universe ThunderClan (a warrior cats thing, if you like warriors check it out in the broken code series!)

4. Hunger Games Trilogy Review - Thank You for this beautifully done series. The Hunger Games is a story about life’s troubles, love, death, and anger. When I started to read I could not turn back. My head was spinning in every chapter like a tornado. So many secrets and mysteries to be told. Thank you Suzanne Collins for your magnificent series. (Btw, I’m reading the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes! It’s great!)

5. Really great book - I read this and when I stopped after a few hours (or days I can’t remember which because I was so engrossed in the story) I found my mouth open in shock at the brilliant plot twists and while i was reading I chewed on the inside of my cheek because I was feeling scared that my favorite character was about to die but thankfully he didn’t so I’m all good now Suzanne Collins is a genius and if I lost my copy of the hunger games and the only replacement was a million dollar copy I would buy it (that’s how much I love this series) amazing book just read it and you’ll find out!
2020-06-24
6. Good series - This series is a very good. Some parts of the books I will admit I skimmed just because to me it felt a little slow. The concept was thought out and the plot twists not expected. Overall a good read if you want to consider a society where children must survive and depending on how/where you were born molds your life and how strong you truly are..
2017-02-26
7. Eh - I think it has a good concept, it just, I don't know. I'm not one that likes action or violence and the Hunger Games has a lot of it. It might just be because I like mystery more (Harry Potter) and that will have some violence but it's not like give me your food or I'll kill you kind of thing. If you are into the kind of adventure-action kind of book I would recommend it.
2016-03-08
8. Ehh... - The Hunger Games trilogy is my favorite book series EVER!!! If you are wanting to buy this, I'd recommend it! I rated it and not just because of Mockingjay. That book was bitter sweet! (SPOILERS) First of all, Katniss was not herself. Plus, Peeta was... well... Not his usual self either! I don't really approve of way Finnick died. Or Cinna. I have to say, (no offense Suzanne Collins, don't worry, you're still my favorite author), that Suzanne could of done better. But there were plenty of good parts in the book! (Plus, writing a book is hard, believe me. You should try it yourself some time!) GO PEETA AND KATNISS!
2015-12-02
9. A little disappointing - I was disappointed in this series, it reads slightly higher than a children's novel almost at a preteen level. The ending could have been more developed, it seemed as though the author added more to the story than necessary and did not fully develop Katniss' character toward the end.
2014-10-02
10. Buy them individually! - I love the books, and would recommend them to anyone without reservation. But this trilogy here downloads as one book. And on my iPhone, it was missing a lot of pages, despite deleting it and re downloading. Typically these missing pages were located before a new section began. Additionally, the book is interspersed with blank pages and awkward cut offs that are not in the original.
2014-08-01
11. You know what I hate??? - When someone has a prejudice of hunger games just because that heard from a friend of a friend of a friend that happened to not be strong enough to stand the tiny violence that its only about kids killing kids. That is not it!!!!!!!! Plus, they are sooooo stubborn, they won't accept that SOME PEOPLE might actually LIKE it! It is, in fact, about a society where the Capitol is bloodthirsty and people make tons of sacrifices to regain their freedom. They fought for freedom, showed resistants. Is it just me, or does that seem like a revolution, not a gladiator's match. If you like Divergent, you'll like this. If you can't stand violence, it's not the book's fault.

1. Amazing! - This book was outstandingly brilliant. Everything from the clock, to the wire to the whole arena, I loved it all. The only thing I would say is that is is a bit slow in the beginning, but once the book picks up, it’s awesome. Thank you Suzanna Collins for writing this book and please make another one and maybe even from Peeta’s point of veiw.
2022-01-10
2. Meh - This book was fine. If you liked the first, you’ll probably like this one. My only thing with this is that it’s a little predictable. Why did you send Katniss and Peeta back in the arena? We already saw what it was like in the first to be in the arena, and it would have been really amazing to see what it’s like from a mentor’a perspective. I also feel like there is a forced romance between Katniss and Peeta. There was a lot more chemistry with her and Gale, so why are you making something that isn’t necessary? Spoiler alert I did feel like the destruction of district was a good move, though. I also was glad that we were able to meet other victors. Overall, it was an ok book.

3. Favorite in the series - Definitely fave in the series teamPeeta! I love him so much, him and Katniss are so cute. The arena is amped up so much this time, I mean the clock thing? Genius. Some people have said its a bit slow to start but I don’t think it is, maybe that’s just me, I love all books pretty much. That just goes to show this book is special. Love it so much. Definitely read this!

4. Catching Fire - Susan Collins. - Well, I read the first one in one night and loved it, I already had bought the full set because I knew it was a very popular series and never actually read it. I had high expectations for this sequel and it really didn’t meet those expectations. I found Catching Fire to be very slow, I don’t really like the slow build up, to where the first book jumped right into the Hunger Games. I think the book got more and more better as things sped up, as the end neared I was a bit relieved to have the book over with. I probably would reread the first again but this book really isn’t it for me. I just wanted to get the series over with which was kinda sad since a lot of people liked this series. I think the Hunger Games is overhyped.
2020-09-01
5. In love!!! - This is my favorite book in the series and there is nothing better! As of right now I am so obsessed, it is all I think about all day every day. I even got my friend obsessed! So many of my favorite characters are introduced in this book and I love them so so much! (Especially Finnick) I will always love these books and I will always be a Peeta Stan! There is nothing else to it.
2020-06-02
6. I’m obsessed - Wow wow wow I was literally crying when I heard that SPOILER ALERT! Katniss is going back in to the arena!! It took me one night to read it and than I read it again! I totally recommend it to anyone!! If you didn’t read it yet then this is what I have to tell you: READ IT!!!!! You are totally missing out if you dont!!!
2020-06-01
7. Reallly Gooood - I thought this book was really good and it is, but I would like to say that I don’t like how gale is left out. Personally, I like Gale more than peeta, I don’t know why I just do. And, really? Seriously? You took away Sinnas life!!!! I loved sinna. He is AWESOME. I could not read the whole rest of the day when sinna died.
2019-08-12
8. Amazing - This book was so well planned and thought out! I Believe that this is the one book I think is hood if you watch the movie first, because, you can know what scene you are in and then say to yourself ( ex: oh! It’s the fog scene! I better read! ) and it was a real page turner. This would have to be my favorite book ever written!
2019-08-07
9. Excellent Sequel! - It’s an amazing book that is just as good if not better than the first. You meet so many amazing new characters including Finnick who is a personal favorite of mine. While the first book is absolutely amazing this one brings the series to a whole new level. It’s a must read and if you haven’t read the first one go check it out!
2019-07-14
10. Best one out of the series - This one is my favorite one so far. The relationship between Katniss and Peeta feels so real. The first and third book were AMAZING but this one is smack dab in the middle of how the revolution started. were the hunger games were still going but the revolution is happening and growing. one more thing for the author. could you like write a book in peetas perspective or like there children or something? sorry just three books dosnt seem enough for this series
2019-06-03
11. My opinion - Can I just tell you book is my favorite book out of the whole trilogy series! Gale come on buddy now you make your move why now when Katniss was all “over” Peeta if you really loved Katniss why didn’t you volunteer for Peeta huh? I just hated how they had to re-live their nightmares again, I fell deeply in love with Peeta I could imagine the beach scene and pearl. She definitely knew she loved Peeta it wasn’t no acting she did love him Katniss didn’t want to lose Peeta she was gonna die for him tears. Katniss pulls off her stunt in the arena and ends up in district ! Love the book love love love it!! Great book XOXO
2018-07-03
12. Catching fire - Catching fire was a well written and truly amazing tale about how viewed as star-crossed lovers were taken advantage of in the showing of th annual hunger games by being forced to go back in the arena, will there amazing love story last till the end? That’s anticipation you will have until the climax of the story. My next and most widely thought about topic was of coarse point of view. As you can see the story is told by katniss Everdeen, so in a way it is bias because we only see what she sees what she feels and what she thinks so we believe what she says and nobody else, this I thought was truly crucial to the story. Thankyou for your time
, Emma B.

1. BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES!!! - Warning: Spoilers Okay, so I’ve been reading the reviews about how everyone is so mad at the author for killing off Finnick and Prim and getting rid of Gale, but I LOVE THIS BOOK!! I know the whole part in the capitol is kinda sad and stuff, I mean, Finnick is my favorite character and now he’s dead(I will infinitely be grieving for him), but I think it was the perfect way to resolve the series.

2. Such a good book series (Spoilers included) - I loved all three books. It did take me a little bit to get into the third, but once I did I loved it. I definitely recommend. SPOILER ALERT I personally loved when Katniss killed Coin and wanted to kill herself. It put her in a dark mental place, a place where she managed to get out of. It shows how strong she is and how she’s still capable of loving. Also, I personally think Prim had to die. I loved Prim so much, but I believe it added so much more to the book then without it. I still love you Prim.
2022-06-05
3. Great - Ok so i love this book but SPOILER ALERT i don’t like how prim dies i mean ik that all the best books have deaths in them but still!!! She did all that for prim only for her to basically be frickin MURDERED by frickin gale i mean that’s the kind ending that make me really actually love these books so yeah definitely read these books but just a btw the first is the best by far but i these books so frickin much
2022-05-14
4. Atrocious Ending - I hate the ending. It may be strange, but Gale is my absolute favorite character. The way Katniss just rejects him and leaves him left me in tears. Terrible way to end their friendship that has been going on for five years. Also what just ends up happening is Katniss and Peeta go back to District and stay there forever. I’m so angry with Collins for such a disappointing ending. The rest of the series was fantastic but now I’m seriously having tears every time I think of Gale. And I NEVER tear up when reading books or watching movies. Hunger Games and Catching Fire is great, but not Mockingjay.

5. Pretty good - I love the Hunger Games series. SO MUCH. I just didn’t click with this one though. When Peeta is taken, it feels so wrong with out the Boy With the Bread. He is such a highlighted character in the other two books, it’s strange and heartbreaking without him. Still beautifully written and well done, just not my favorite book in the series. Love the others though!!

6. Extremely Disappointed - I was hoping for an exciting, action-packed finale to the series. But this was the exact opposite. The book barely had any action and was very anticlimactic. A lot of things that happen are not real clear because of the writing style, and it feels like most of the deaths were a last minute thought. Many times, suspense was built only to lead to nothing exciting, and many things didn’t contribute to the story and just seemed to be in there as a time filler. And there was so much build up, and then Katniss wasn’t even there to see the end of the war! And she barely contributed to the end of the war too! And what happened to Snow at the end? And so many characters were left behind... it was upsetting just how horrible this book was when the previous two were really good. If you have already read the first two books and you want to know what the result of everything is, then read it. Otherwise, don’t bother. But know that it does get obnoxiously long considering that it is so empty of real plot and action.

7. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover - I’ve heard people say that Mockingjay is the boring book of the series, so that led me to believe that I was going to hate this book and be bored about it, which I read it as. Then when I reread it, I saw that this was actually a well crafted book and I enjoyed it, even through the tough parts. So the lesson is you may think that you might not enjoy this book, but it is actually really good. So.........READ IT and enjoy! Warning....this book will break your heart.

9. Omg I absolutely love the hunger hames - I’ve finished this book literally last night and I was on the verge of crying because the ending is so emotional!!! SPOILER ALERT: Why did finnick and prim have to dieee???? I love the hanging tree song too. It’s just kind of sad at the end tho because like Katniss is like weeping with buttercup and her mom about prim but when peeta comes it gets better. I can’t seem to get the hunger games out of my head it’s like what if it was real?? It was not the best in the series but definitely still very good!

10. DO NOT READ!! - (SPOILER ALERT)
i read the hunger games trilogy and let me tell you, the last is the worst. everyone who katniss had no problems or arguments with died(finnick, cinna, prim, etc.)! her mom and gale survive but she NEVER RECONCILES WITH THEM. she just barely talks to gale at then end then done. never sees him again. i am extremely mad at the author. and not because she killed ppl off. veronica roth killed off the main charachter in divergent but i still love the book and would read it again. but in this book she pretty much just isolates herself with peeta in district and suffers for the rest of her life from her crippling ptsd. LIKE WHAT KIND OF ENDING IS THAT. i would not recommend this book to anyone

11. Okay - This book was a little too depressing for me, and although a lot of people really like the hunger games, I guess it’s just not for me. I guess different people just like different types of books, and we can all appreciate each other as book readers, while we still disagree on which books are better and worse. I still congratulate the author on a successful book series, even if I don’t agree with all of the decisions in the book (PRIMS DEATH!!!) Although I prefer happy endings, I understand that sad endings bring forth a more realistic story of pain and heartache.

12. Hunger Games have caught my heart - Ever since my friend Kate started reading the book, I wanted to give it a try. It ‘‘twas until months later that I started. Once I started, I could not stop. Katniss volunteering for her sister. The star crossed lovers act. Her amazing ability to hunt. Once I finished the book, I immediately got the second book. No questions asked. I felt like the story was even better than the first! After captivating hours of reading, I finished and went to Mockingjay. I felt that there was a lot to take in with this book. (In a great way!) I felt so captivated I spent my whole time turning my focus to Katniss, Peeta, and Gale. I adored the epic love triangle. And I knew Suzanne would definitely satisfy me with the ending. And she did! I wish this series could go on and on. I would rate this stars!

1. Disappointing - I was hopeful that Shatter Me’s potential would be fulfilled in Unravel Me, alas...
) Plot: Really repetitive. Juliette kept valuable secrets from Omega Point to create pointless drama that did nothing for the plot.
) Characters: Juliette became insufferable, Adam became utterly dislikable, and Warner was a mess. Kenji is the MVP.
) Romance: Juliette and Adam’s feud was pretty dumb, but her relationship with Warner was worse. Warner suddenly does a because he “loves” Juliette after stalking her and invading her privacy. All his despicable actions that made him a somewhat compelling villain were brushed aside by blaming it all on his evil father, and because he has dimples when he smiles. If there’s one reason to continue, I’d be doing it for Kenji. If you’re a sucker for romance, this might be the book for you, but if you’re looking for meaningful relationships and compelling plot, turn back now.

2. It’s okay. - I’m not sure how to really rate or review this book. The first one got better as the book went on and I bought this one hoping it would be better as well but I feel like she just backtracked on her writing abilities. Part of me feels like it’s a great book with a good plot and the other part feels as if it’s horribly rushed. % of the book is just her explaining the simplest things in the most complicated and confusing way possible. It’s definitely not an easy read.

3. I wish I would've have loved this book. - Review originally posted on Reading Books Like a Boss I wish I would've have loved this book. But honestly, it left much to be desired. I found much of the plot and character lacked development and a cohesive continuation from the first book. The romance between Juliette and Warner felt forced, and the method by which the author manufactured Juliette's attraction to Warner (by severely weakening Adam's character in the process) was lazy. The first half of this book was so incredibly slow. The author made me detest Adam and Juliette as characters. I kept waiting for things to turn around, but really the only good thing about the first half was Kenji. The latter part of this book was marginally more gripping for me due to Warner's presence (he was someone to distract me from Adam and Juliette). What was so great about Shatter Me was the interesting premise and three distinct interesting characters. Warner was a great villain with many facets and an alluring mystery surrounding him. Adam was wholeheartedly good and strong character both in emotional and physical strength. Despite being psychologically tested and isolated for nearly a year, Juliette was resilient and defiant. However, in Unravel Me there was absolutely no character growth for Adam or Juliette. Honestly, they were weak, whiney, and, irritating. These three characters were absolutely ruined in this book and that made me so sad! Love triangles themselves do not bother me in the least. I don't hate on them for their existence. But like I said earlier, to me the author did nothing to build Warner as a love interest. She just made him this mysterious man and then made the reader strongly dislike Adam. By ruining Adam's character, it was all too convenient for Warner to pop in and steal Juliette's heart. My favorite thing about Unravel Me was Kenji. Not only he the most consistent character in the series so far, he's also the glue that holds everyone together. He's Adam's best friend, he's like a brother to James, and he has an unwavering faith in Juliette's power. He brought so much to the story—humor, stability, and a cohesiveness. I am worried about his mortality in book three, however. It seems like the good die young in books. Please don't kill Kenji. I will self-combust with grief and despair (dramatic? probably). I may read book three, but I'm a little scared to just because of my opinion of this book. I fear that the focus will be too much on the Juliette's choice of guy rather than the impending war. stars

4. A lot to say - SPOILER ALERT Personally I love this series, but this is my least favorite out of all the books. The beginning is quite boring and uneventful. With the exception of a few small details and plot points it's very uninteresting. Once you get to know Omega Point and its goals things pick up. I've never been a fan of Adam, in this book he takes being an unlikable character to a whole new level. He refuses to believe that he has a power and that it wasn't fate that he was immune to Juliette's touch. Once he finally accepts it, he won't train with Juliette. Off the top of my head I can think of at least huge dramatic freak outs Adam has. After the first they got quite predictable and unimportant. Most of the time the plot was put on hold so he could shed some man tears. Kenji although becomes a important character. At the end of the first book when Kenji is thrown into the mix and brings them to Omega Point I thought he was a random character thrown in to get the plot moving. In the second book he becomes more important and more of a main character. He helps Juliette with her newfound power, is helpful with his invisibility, and is comic relief in this dramatic story. James on the other hand was more of an afterthought in this book. He had very few scenes. When he did have scenes they where not important. Juliette is to emotional in this book for my liking. Everything's an event. Nothing can simply be done without her making it a big deal. Once Warner is put back into the mix she is less emotional. I enjoyed parts when she was talking to Warner in his room at Omega Point. It's interesting to see her opinion on her once enemy. She starts to become friends with him. It's quite a long process but interesting. But she keeps going between believing him to thinking he is lying to her. It is hard for her to grasp the fact that he isn't actually a bad guy, that he has reasons for all of the things he did. It is often frustrating when she begins to get close to him then let's her fear take over again. Speaking of Warner, it is so nice to have a look at his point of view. Getting to know the once horrible characters back story is very entertaining. Especially when it comes to his father. Learning that he isn't who he was for no reason was good information. He grew on me. The whole book was somewhat boring. I enjoyed it but definitely not as much as the first or last. When it came to parts with Adam I often wanted to stop reading because of the way he acted. I also am not sure about Juliette's descriptions. I was often confused on what she was trying to express. An odd metaphor was often used, where if she had just expressed the emotion the audience would have probably felt it more. A lot of things in this book where left unsaid. Off the top of my head I can think of any exact examples but questions whee often left unanswered. All in all I loved this book because it really sets the scene for what happens in Ignite Me. Tahereh Mafi I applaud you.

5. Incredible - Excellent book that I would recomend to anyone. The writing style is amazing and the author is constantly breaking off into prose... I adore this series. Quick read for me since it was YA, but I couldn't put it down. Some passages honestly brought me to tears. Engaging and well written. Fabulous book.

6. !!! - Goodness, um how do I start... Um THIS BOOK WAS REALLY GOOD!!! It is probally one of the most well written books in the entire series. The detail and the many turning points is what made it so good, I finished this book in one day because it was so good. While it is a long book it will be a breeze if you read regularly. I read this book in one sitting and it was just mind blowing I loved it

7. Amazing! - This sequel to the book shatter me is the most breath-taking book I've ever read. All the emotion, the unexpected events, and the exquisite characters baffle me. I want to reads these books all over again. I read this to my boyfriend who isn't a reader at all and he never wanted me to stop reading to him. Mafi is an amazing writer and I hope that there are more books written by her in the future!

8. Exceptional Author & Book - The story was addicting, the text intoxicating, it was more then brilliant it was something worthy of greatness. At laughter was exasperated within me, at times angry, and experience that was different yet something I have expected from many different. The first was the hook, this book is the line that reeled me in. I expect to read more of her work in the future, and come back for more!

9. Absolutely... Brilliant - This series is amazing! The first book was breath-taking. Normally the second books aren't as good as the first... But this is not the case. The second book still left me with plenty of surprising and 'Ah' moments. The way she describes the scenes makes you visualize them perfectly! Can't wait for the next!

10. Unravel Me - I loved this book! It was intense and tender, raw yet riveting. You saw new sides to all the characters. Most were the opposite of what they were in "Shatter Me". The growth of the characters was a testament of Tahereh Mafi and her ability to keep you plugged in, and salivating for more. I can't wait to see what happens in the third book of the trilogy. This is a great climax for the three books. All I can say is Julliette's evolution will be epic! Congratulations Tahereh! I am ready for what is next!
2013-02-28
11. Annoying - Juliette's character by herself is extremely annoying. I read Shatter Me and it seemed she just dwelled on how miserable she was and never rose the occasion. She just had her boyfriend care for her and do everything, it was rare she stood up for herself. I was dissapointed, the story had such a great concept. I would not read this book.
2013-02-16
12. What Happened? - I absolutely loved Shatter Me, and Destroy Me was great as well! I was really excited about this book, and the first fourteen chapters that were posted online were great! But, once I bought the book and started really reading it, I was extremely disappointed. I'm hoping that the third book is better, because, I'm sorry to say it, but Unravel Me was a big disappointment. :(

13. I absolutely can't wait for the third book. - At first I'd like to mention, I'm not really a fan of how the book is basically set at Omega Point. I absolutely love Aaron and honestly I want Juliette to chose him :) the second half of this book was like constant electricity and I was finding myself unable to contain some of my excitement. It was absolutely amazing. It's just a little slow at the beginning. I hope Warner is in the next book more often!!!!

1. Started off string but then meh - The book started off pretty strong. I really liked the MC initially. But then it felt too predictable, the world didn’t feel complete enough. The male characters eventually got on my nerves and fell flat. Warner at least shone though as interesting and somewhat complex. I would have liked to have seen more development with the MC. At times it just felt like she was just reduced to some lovestruck stubborn girl.
2023-01-15
2. Creative storytelling and deep characters - I am obsessed with how the author writes from Juliette’s view! As we read, we get to go along with the MC as she unlearns programming and as she grows, and I love that :) A great start to the series, I just can’t make myself read past THIS book because of the changes in Warner and Adam’s personalities in the second book. I don’t understand why the author would change her mind on the main love interest after the first book, but it is what it is. /

3. I started it, liked it at first, then put a pause on it and eventually DNF. - I hate DNF’ing books. I started reading this a few months ago but then put it on pause, and I was never able to pick it up again. I found Juliette to be a compelling character at first but as I read on, I started to lose interest in reading about her. The romance between Adam and Juliette is pure instalove and there is no depth to their relationship. Warner was interesting, but he wasn’t enough to keep me invested in this book. The writing style is also very strange- I understand that it’s supposed to reflect Juliette’s trauma, but it felt unnecessary and it was hard to read. Overall, I really did not like Shatter Me, and I have no interest in coming back to it. The hype is not worth it at all.

4. My first book I ditched - I didn’t like it I’m not really a fan of fast paste romance but it felt like I shouldn’t be reading it which is ironic cause at it felt like I shouldn’t have been reading it. Warner,Adam, and Juliet were plain characters and it’s not to mention that We Don’t Even See Juliet’s powers until like chapter or something idk I ditched it at chapter

5. AMAZING!! - This has got to be the best book I’ve ever read and that says a lot because I hate reading so much that I’d rather live with rats. But this book, I just couldn’t put it down not once. I started reading it for school but I read it in only week and I read it for hours straight once. This book is amazing I highly recommend, I’m even thinking about reading the rest of the books.

6. Already amazing - I’ve just started this book, and it’s already amazing. The numbers, the strikethroughs, the repetition; it all shows Juliette’s declining mental state. While the world’s a tad basic (dying world, evil government, a bunch of opressed people), it’s still a really interesting book.

7. Interesting writing style - This book is very interesting and I couldn’t put it down. It is a little repetitive but it wasn’t too bothersome. I really enjoyed the character development and the growth of romance and mystery between Warner, Adam and Juliette. It has cool aspects that relate to present day issues and that was really engaging. I would recommend this book.

8. So this is absolutely astronomically amazing! - For a quick review: It has a powerful female chars tar, romance, twists, and throughout the series see some beautiful character developments. Also you just have to love Kenji because I have probably never laughed so much at or with a character than I have in this whole series. Also totally kickbutt characters and just sooo good. Read it. Now. Thanks!!! Other review: For a while I have been looking for an amazing book. Basically I’ve been in a reading slump or block, but this book just poof made it vanish. I read the first few pages and omg I want to rant about this because it was so good!!! So many things happen and I honestly feel that the second book and third book are the best because they just are, but this book is really good too. Im trying not to spoil anything, but the way this book is written and oh. My. Gosh. The chat entrar development in this book is just astonishing. I should have sued that’s the title for this review as well. Oof. Anyway read it. It’s amazing. One of my ultra favorite series ever. So go. Stop reading this review. Have fun. Embarrass your feels and vibes during this book. Also one part had me really sad in this book. When Juliette said “I would remember, because it was my birthday.” Ughhh seriously author why you got to make me sad like that. Anyway have a good day!!!!! Read this book. Totally loved it!!!!! :)

9. Mediocre - I loved the idea and the plot but I don’t think it was well executed and I just didn’t click with Juliette. I don’t like how weak she was and how dependent she was on Adam and how quickly they fell in love. Yes, given her history she has the right to be fragile but I would’ve liked it more is she was stronger and more independent. She’s kind of annoying and whiny. I loved Kenji though, he made it better :)

10. Good plot, horribly written, very rushed. - This book is a really good read, it has an amazing and unique story line, but I found myself feeling as if I was reading a book written by a child with ocd. I know it’s supposed to be written as the main girls POV but I personally think it’s horribly written. It also seemed very rushed, the main characters are just in love within a few hours of seeing each other.

11. Love love love - I love this book it was such an easy read yet so thrilling and exciting. You’d think that it is very predictable but it is far from it. The second I started I couldn’t put it down I went through the whole series in like hours. I am obsessed with this book and would highly recommend

1. Another perspective - This book gave us a whole new perspective on Warner. I realize that he’s not who I thought he was and I respect that, he might even be my new favorite character. I recommend this book if you want to know why warner did such horrible things to Juliette (which he has reasons for). I hope you like the book just as much as I did!

2. Wow - The amount of books I've read is an insane amount that I couldn't possibly fathom, (yes, I've read that many) and the ones that have stood out to me in the fiction genre as the best are the Harry Potter series, the mortal instruments, and the shatter me novels. These above all are written the most beautifully, and I have enjoyed these books so much that I've read them more than once, which I never do. All I'm saying is if you want to have no social life and be hauled up in your room for days at a time, then read all of these books. You won't regret it.

3. Good novella! - Review originally posted on Reading Books Like a Boss Holy cannoli! Finally, I got inside Warner's head. Like I said in my Shatter Me review, I find Warner to be a more interesting character. In Destroy Me, Tahereh Mafi introduces you to a different Warner. Well, not different, per se but we are definitely seeing him from another perspective: his. In Shatter Me, we saw Juliette's perception of him, all of opinions are tainted by her own limited knowledge of his true intentions. What she saw in him is not who he really is. Say what?? I just about came out of my seat when Mafi starts to provide small backstories into some of the terrible things Warner had done in Shatter Me. In reality, Warner is just has screwed up as Juliette. Through the journal she left behind, chronicling her time in the insane asylum, Warner begins to see how similarly situated he and Juliette are. You learn that his feelings for her didn't begin when she walked through his door, but began way before. I enjoyed Warner's novella because Mafi took a character who was seemingly cold, hard, and ruthless and cracked him open, revealing a young man full of vulnerabilities and insecurities. A man who has to put on a mask of strength in order to remain in power. A man who is scared of his father and who is just trying to survive in the world since The Reestablishment took it over. The status of his and Juliette's relationship is nonexistent at this point. But I sense some major tension on the horizon. Warner is prepared to fight for her and I don't think he's going to back down easily. I'm hoping we get some great relationship development between Warner and Juliette in the next one since we didn't really get that in Shatter Me.

4. Loved it - I never liked Warner in the first book very much- just a few select times. After reading this book it really opened my eyes. Defiantly like him way more now. I seriously doubted I would ever like him. After reading the comments I thought, yea right. I'll never like him. But I actually really do now.
2015-04-26
5. Amazing - Boy, was this an eye opener! I've loved Warner from the beginning, but some of his actions in Shatter Me were very questionable. This novella revealed so much about Warner, if you thought he was evil it will DEFINITELY change your mind. It gives you a glimpse into life with Warner's awful father and it makes you sympathize for Warner. I found myself crying at some parts of this book. Read it, you won't be sorry!
2013-12-16
6. Buy it!!!! - This was really eye opening to me because in Shatter Me I truly hated Warner's guts for all of the thing he had said to Juliette but reading this book showed me a much softer and weaker side of the ruthless solider. I can actually say that I like Warner as a character and possibly as a future love intrest for juliette :) I definitely recommend this to anyone who read Shatter Me.

1. Beautiful Ending! - After having read the other books in less than a week, I was so excited to read the final book. The writing was brilliant, as usual, and it was an amazing ending to an amazing series. SPOILER below One thing that I wish was different was the we saw the wedding and the dress, rather than just hearing about how Kenji destroyed the dress. I also wish we could’ve seen more of what happened after they left the burning building, such as what happened with the other supreme commanders, how the people reacted to Ella/Juliette, how they managed to take over the Reestablishment, etc. But I loved this book so much!!!!!!!
2020-12-28
2. Conflicted - Honestly, the ending was disappointing. Like other readers, I was dying for the wedding scene and the epilogue was very vague. Why include the part of the dress getting destroyed if we’re not even going to get to read about her wearing it. I also thought the book was very repetitive. She gets captured, she escapes. She loses her memory, she gains it back. All these events had already happened in the other books. Another event that bugged me was Juliette’s relationship with Emmaline. Why introduce Juliette’s long lost sister and then only include her at the end of the book WHERE SHE DIES! The whole conclusion just felt rushed. I had so many questions that I would have loved to have answered, but overall the thing that kept me reading this book was Juliette’s relationship with Warner and Kenji. Their relationships are what everyone would dream of having. All and all, I was disappointed with how it was written but LOVED the characters. Would definitely read the rest of the books again, but I’m not feeling this one.

3. Props. - I’ve held this series very near to my heart for the past years. It has been an absolute overwhelming rollercoaster of emotion and I’ve enjoyed every moment. I do agree that this final book had a few holes( we would have DIED to be a part of the wedding scene). I applaud Tahereh for the courage to continue to not only pursue this phenomenon, but to share this with so many. I can’t imagine holding the fate of such strong and rounded characters in my hands. Hats off to you Ma’am.
2020-04-22
4. The Ending - So first of it wasn’t like anything expected. I imagined it would be waaaay more emotional than it was. Like when Warner found Juliette with her memory gone, I certainly was hoping for a sad and difficult attempt to regain her memory from Warner’s point of view. Or at least something I could cry with. There were so many holes and unexplained matters like what happened to the rest of supreme commanders or their kids. What happened to kenji and Nazeera. Or the thing about kenji destroying Ella’s dress if it was important why didn’t the book explained more if it wasn’t why bother bring it up at all?!
What happened to the reestablishment? Did earth came back to the way it was? What is Juliette’s position right now? Is she the leader of the new government their building or is she back to being a commoner?
And what happened to the wedding scene I’m sure all of were waiting for it desperately? An entire awesome series shouldn’t end with a laugh and a dog!!! It should end with a romantic wedding kiss

5. disappointed:( - Before I get into my disappointments with this book, let's start with the few good things that occurred in Imagine Me. I loved: The WRITING (Tahereh Mafi always outdoes herself) Warner & Kenji's relationship Kenji's lighthearted jokes in the midst of everything going on The constant teasing exchanged between Winston/Brendan/Kenji Adam turning himself & James into the Restablishment (it was the one moment in the book that got me super riled up) Now I shall begin writing the many aspects of the book I disliked. To begin, what was that plot? It's almost like Tahereh wrote Imagine Me using an extremely vague outline from an earlier book in the series. I was preparing myself for an emotional & intricate plot, however it was very similar to Ignite Me. All their plans in Imagine Me worked out flawlessly, & if they didn't, the characters found an easy loophole (e.g. When Kenji, Warner, & Nazeera were sneaking out of the plane.)Usually before I read/finish a book, I imagine the perfect ending, with all the characters I want still alive, & everything ending perfectly. When I thought of Imagine Me even before reading, I hoped this would be the outcome. I find that the best last books in series' usually don't end the way we hope them to. Also, why did Warner only have like three povs? Tahereh usually writes a lot about the characters emotions in her books, & clearly Warner was going through a lot. It would have been amazing to get some insight on how Warner was feeling about everything. Adam GAVE his powers to the Restablishment, and you mean to tell me they didn't play a single role in the plot? Excuse me....WHAT? His powers were to STEAL other people's ABILITIES. I'd imagine Anderson would want to manifest those abilities in himself. I understand Max wasn't nearly as skilled as Evie was then it came to working with abilities, but Anderson having that power would have called for a much more interesting plot. The Restablishment would have an advantage for sure! When Nazeera, Kenji, & Warner made it to Oceania, it was FAR too easy for them to find Juliette & leave. We don't even know if Anderson died! The Epilogue's events occurred only two weeks after the infiltration, so who knows? Anderson could very much still be around. I don't particularly enjoy how Tahereh went about writing Emmaline in this book. After Emmaline went into Juliette's mind, everything fell apart more or less for a substantial amount of time in the book, resulting in less content about Juliette. After all Juliette went through with Emmaline literally living in her mind, EMMALINE didn't even end up dying there. I do think Emmaline dying was necessary for the plot, but I feel almost sad that there wasn't much of a resolution with her & Juliette, which I guess was to be expected. Also, I felt a major sense of deja vu when Juliette found Emmaline's tank. The book left some major plot holes & lacked many explanations for certain things. After Juliette woke up from unconsciousness, she eyed a drawer for a tremendously long time, feeling almost attracted to it in some way. When she was about to open it, Max completely stopped her. We NEVER found out what was in the box, which honestly has been bothering me a considerable amount of time. We didn't even get much insight on what became of the earth! I think there was a slight reference to the atmosphere in the epilogue, but it was quite minimal considering a major part of the book revolved around that issue. Also, what became of the government? I'm honestly disappointed that so many vital parts of the story weren't given a proper conclusion. A lot of the characters personalities felt off to me. The only person that has felt consistent throughout the entire series has been Kenji for me. Clearly, he's had some ups & downs, but overall his character development was realistically good. Throughout the series up until now, I've really liked Warner. I thought after the last book he was beginning to work better together with everyone else, & care about other people rather than Juliette. This book bothered me; he resorted RIGHT back to his original self. I understand he went through a lot, but I think by that point Warner should have felt at the very least a bit more connected to Kenji. Don't get me started on Juliette. I understand that she was low-key possessed by her sister and brainwashed, but I would've liked to see Juliette and Warner work together to destroy the Restablishment. I felt like that was more of the ending it deserved. Okay, finally let's talk about the Epilogue. I did not like it. I didn't feel a rush of satisfaction as I read it. It felt more like a very abrupt piece of the Epilogue, almost like Tahereh had a deadline for the book the next day. We finally got a Warner pov. Yay. I honestly don't think his pov was written as well as it could have been in full honesty. There should have been some sappy lines like "Finally. After everything. After the world's greed of pulling us apart drifted away to dust, I'm watching her. Walking down the aisle." Basically something along the lines of that but written x better. The Epilogue left MUCH to be desired. We didn't even see Kenji & Nazeera together! We didn't get the wedding scene! AGH. After finishing the novel, I hadn't shed a single tear, which is NOT normal for me. Overall, I would only recommend reading Shatter Me to someone eager for a somewhat roughly executed resolution of the series. I personally would stop reading the novel after Ignite Me & be done. I loved the other books in the series, this one was just not it. I'm sorry Tahereh. You are literally so talented, this book personally just wasn't my fave.

6. The. Perfect. Ending. - I’ve been invested in this series since it first came out when I was about . I’m now almost . The story has stayed near and dear to my heart the whole way through. I’m so grateful to have been able to follow along with Juliette’s (Ella’s) story. I’ve become so attached to the characters, especially Juliette, that it was hard to say goodbye. But this ending was truly so perfect and satisfying. Thank you, Tahereh, for creating such an incredible, whirlwind of emotions storyline that I will cherish- and reread millions of times- forever.

7. I love it! - It was amazing, just like the rest of the series. It felt a bit like a repeat of the book before it however. She loses her memory, her friends have to save her, she struggles throughout the book to regain her memory and in the very end she is successful. I hope that the next one has a new storyline!

8. A GREAT ending to a FABULOUS series!! - Loved, loved, loved this series!!!! And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Warner!!! Such a great ending to a fantastic series!! I loved being in Juliette/Ella’s head, and I ALWAYS love being in Kenji’s head...he is sooo funny! Kenji and Warner arguments had me laughing out loud!!! I just wish there were more chapters in Warner’s head. The action was really exciting and suspenseful in this one. And the ROMANCE... Oh. My. God. THE ROMANCE!!!!!!!! I love Warner & Juliette. They will always be one of my favorite book couples and Warner my favorite book boyfriend!!!!!

9. didn’t really feel like juliette - this wasn’t really juliettes story, it was more of kenjis. I love kenji, but I want to hear some stuff from juliette, too. it got a little repetitive also, and it felt like the same events in the other books, where she gets captured but escapes. it’s a happy ending, but wait. another crisis. that’s happened in the series at least three times, and it happened again in imagine me. there weren’t that many warnette scenes, either, which is the reason most people even like this series. the stars present are for the two warnette scenes and kenji and nazeera.

10. Favorite book series ever! - I was so excited to read this book. I have been eating for almost a year to read it. The book was great and the ending was perfect and so sweet. I am just sad the series came to an end. I would have loved for the series to keep going, but I guess all good things must eventually come to an end.

1. Conflicting Feelings...Again - What I Liked:
- Lots of plot twists & intense ending
- Kenji and his OWN ROMANCE - Juliette’s independence & friendship What I Did Not Like:
- Literally no one did anything about Juliette’s inexperience?! Warner had been groomed for this his whole life but did nothing to help her so the plot just dragged
- Warner’s back story was SO overdone I can’t take him or Anderson seriously
- Her feud with Warner was bizarre and looked a lot like MISCOMMUNICATION and I feel it was unnecessary for Juliette’s wonderful development.
In conclusion, really plot twisty kind of like a soap opera...

2. Best book EVER - I can’t tell you how in LOVE I am with this series. It’s taken over my life lol. I read, Restore Me, in a day. What am I supposed to do with my life now? Live? lol. Totally obsessed with Aaron. He’s my babbyyyyyyyy. Kenji is everything. And Juliette is a QWEEN. Truly, an amazing book. I can’t get enough.

1. I’m obsessed - I love this book! I’ve read all of them within days. I’ve been hooked ever since and I’m a fast reading so I drank then up like water!!! I might by the physical books just to display them on my shelves. And of course eventually, Re read.. I LOVE Warner, ever since he was first introduced and we kind of thought he was a bad guy, I secretly loved him.. LOL I have a think for crazy obsessed guys, or just bad guys in general, but he turned out to be such a sweetheart and he is amazing. I hate that Adam wasn’t portrayed the best, I feel like his character had much more...potential I guess. Overall still amazing! Probably my favorite so far.

2. Pleasantly Surprised - ) Characters: Juliette’s arc was well done and she progressed into a likable MC. I haven’t totally accepted Warner’s character, but he’s growing on me because the romance was really great (if you ignore the disaster that was Unravel Me). If you did like him in Unravel Me, prepare to fall in love. I hated how Mafi handled Adam just to make Warner look good, though. Extremely disappointing.
) Plot & World: Remained generic and bland. The ending was predictable, rushed, and unreasonable: what makes her think she’s qualified to do that??? Juliette’s abilities were also annoying because she ends up having several super convenient abilities that don’t make sense combined.
) Writing: Wayyy more tolerable, and refreshingly self aware. - Overall, the best book in the series (. stars). Recommend as a fluffy sexy read, but not as a serious dystopian.

3. Good and quite depressing all around but... - The ending wasn't really satisfying it felt rushed or kind of lazy. For instance your telling me that it was that easy or simple to kill Anderson and end the Reestablishment. I felt like there need to be more actual fighting rather than some quick and clever ending. I'm not trying to be rude but this would have better if the series as a whole lasted longer.

4. Loved this book series so much! - The beginning hooked me immediately and after that I ran through the series, and read all of them in a week! The characters where so interesting and the character development with Juliet was twisty but also ended on a great note. It's amazing how strong she becomes at the end, and the romance in the book between Warner and her left me on the edge of my seat wondering when they would finally get together.

5. How do I breathe?! - I can't. It was so amazing! I couldn't put it down! I read the whole series in days!! I cannot wait until the new tv show for it! When does it premier??? I love Aaron Warner Anderson. I can't stop thinking about this book! I'm so sad it ended. I wish there was a cherry on top like in Harry Potter how they show him in the future. I'm getting absolutely everyone to read this series. So we'll put together! Gah!!!! I have so many questions. Hopefully the new tv show answers them. :)

6. CONTAINS SPOILERS!!! - CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!!!!!! May I just say... WOW!!! I loved Shatter Me. Then Unravel Me, and now I absolutely LOVE IGNITE ME!!! She chose AARON!!! I am the happiest person in the world. I loved Adam at first but oh well, because Julliette's with AARON!!! The story was amazing, and I'm so glad Julliette became the leader and got to take down Anderson and ended up with Aaron because I love him sooo much, I can't even explain it. She was such a strong character, and the ending was just perfect. I love this book, it is my all time favorite, and there is nothing anyone can do to change my mind.

7. Ignited my summer! - I loved this book so much! It was amazing and had me on the edge of my seat until at one point I actually fell off my seat! It was such an amazing final installment into this series that made me want to read the whole thing over again. I also really enjoyed the conclusion that didn’t leave me guessing at the story.

8. - I love this series. I was intrigued by Warner and I was steady learning his secrets in unravel me and in the beginning of this book it lost me because all of his secrets were revealed. And also I need more reasons for her to love Warner. It was just all of the sudden. And I was so disappointed with the ending. She built up the training well but then the warfare was only thirty pages . Still it's weird. In books you want her to pick the villain she doesn't. And that's what makes you want to read it. And here I was given what I wanted and I was overall disappointed. I don't know why because I wanted her to pick him and then she did. And I was like oh ok . I know I sound crazy but trust me

9. A awesome finish - It was a epic finale!!! Juliet finally became the strong brave person!!! Warner has changed into a better person, and Adam showed his true colors!!! The love triangle totally flipped!! I was totally team Warner!! I didn't like the climax and the ending though. They left the ending almost totally up to you. For a epic war book, the climax and main action scene was too easy and short. The book was overall great!! It was funny, poetic, romantic, action-packed, and shocking!!!!! I enjoyed this series a ton!! It taught me a lot about life. The author is a impressive poetic writer!! The descriptions were almost real!! A MUST READ!!!

11. Amazing but I'm so mad there's not an epilogue! - This series was of course phenomenal. I absolutely loved this book- I do however wish there was more of a sex scene rather than just an kinda sorta implication... Ya I know it's YA so what should I expect... But still I felt it left questions rather than certainty. I also wish there was more closure with Adam and Juliette, I do not like open wounds... And their last one on one convo left me unsettled. And Adam deserves a happily ever after too. And of course I wanted to read about a victory with the overall conflict between the rebels and the reestablishment rather than just Juliette vs Anderson... I do not like loose ends and there were multiple. But despite these shortcomings, as I originally stated, it was phenomenal. Superb.

12. Can't Wait Anymore - This is flat out cruel. The writing in these novels is something different and amazing and clever and each character is important. They each, in a way, connect with someone who may be reading the novel and I thin that is what makes this so amazing. spoilers for other popular novels below IF TEHEREH DARES TO PULL A DOBBY, PRIM, OR TRIS I'LL DIE.

1. SOOO GOOD - I’ve been waiting to write my review of these books until closer to the end and now that I have only one book left I’m just not ready for it to be over!! Why is Kenji SO funny. I love his character. I look forward to their banter and OMG Aaron is dreamy and steamy and I can’t get enough of him. I wish more people loved the way Ella and Aaron do. I wish I was loved the way he loves her. It’s all consuming and I am IN LOVE with your creative brain. Keep writing

2. Possible spoilers included - This book was much better than the last one less confusing at the same time I revel in nazeera and kenji’s relationship these kids are finally growing up and I swear if I don’t get more of kenji and nazeera I might implode I live them most of the confusion has settled we know what’s going on and all that’s left is what’s to come

3. Ahhh! - Every book just gets better! I thought the first book was good but then I realized how immature self pitting and babyish Juliette was, and Adam too. I’m so glad Ella and Warner are together because they are SO much better than Juliette and Adam ever could have been. Also the books just keep confusing me with all this new information but I still like them. Idk. AMAZING book! Quick read, I read this in a day, I started the series a week ago and my average time per book is like hours. It’s just so good u can’t put it down. Highly suggested for -th graders

4. Best book in the series! - The first book was amazing, every book in the series has out done the last. This book is by far the best, there are so many challenges that readers wouldn’t have even been able to think of. I normally think books are predictable, but not this one, every chapter surprised me.

5. I’m in love with this series - I want to start off by thanking the author ...this series has helped me discover who I am as a person I hope that this is not the last book to the series...this book took me in an emotional roller coster this book defines what real love is ..and I am forever great full I read this, if every person would read this today are world would be a much happier and safer place I strongly advise you reading this book

6. One of the best series i have ever read! - I do not even know where to start! Reading this series was definitely a delight! I thought since it was YA that it was going to be cheesy and not very well written. I have to say that I am blown away! Tahereh Mafi definitely sucked me in with this series! I read all the books as well as the novellas in under weeks! I couldn’t put them down! I loved the twist of the unexpected love story forming in the earlier books! I love how she was so intuned and on the nose with the emotions and feelings of all the characters and not just Juliette (Ella). She had every character and their different lives and she captured them beautifully. I felt what they felt! at times i got aggravated, excited, sad and you could feel that the love and all the emotions were captured! I loved that she was able to make the “love scenes” appropriate and tasteful.. leaving room for your imagination take hold without giving you all the details. This story line was amazing! The twist of the apocalyptic feeling and the impending doom of the reestablishment! Then throw in the aspect of super powers! Well done! I am utterly blown away by her writing skills! I often find it hard to get into most books from outside my normal authors, but this is one I definitely recommend all the time i was reading to everyone! Very well edited! Only a few mistakes i saw with that! But it was very well put together and written very well! Definitely glad that i found it at goodwill! I would definitely read this! Old or young it is just a well written series and it will stay with me.

7. AMAZING - This is by far the best and most well written book series Tahere Mafi is a true artist with an amazing passion, I felt a connection with Juliette right away these books helped me figure out who I am they helped me find pieces I’ve been missing from my life. (Don’t tell the Harry Potter fandom this but this is the BEST book series I have EVER read and I have read all the timeless classics.

1. My favorite YA dystopian series - Seriously awesome stories. Even enjoyed the forth book extras (tho not as much). If your into hunger games, the reds queen, divergent, etc series then you’ll really enjoy this one. They’ve freaking sold the rights to this book to install into movie format like years ago but we still have no movies yet! Arg.

2. love this book! - Realllly good book! So I had just finished the divergent series and I was convinced that I would never find a book I loved more, but then someone suggested this to me and I definitely found a new favorite. Tally is such a cool character to explore. Love the plot! Also not going to spoil but the ending is sooo awesome! I totally recommend!

3. Mehhhhh... this book needs some character development - Ok so I will give u this, the plot and storyline was great!! Very creative!! But I think that Tally just changes her mind about a million times throughout the series. Like, do u love David or Zane!?!? Who’s it gonna be!?! So yea that was really annoying. And all the characters didn’t have very relatable personalities. SPOILER Like, for example, David is “ in love” with Shay and then Tally shows up and just like that, he’s head over heels for her. Like WHAT?? All I could think abt is poor Shay. But yea that’s the only thing I didn’t like abt this series but otherwise I’ll give it a thumbs up.

4. One of my favorite books!!! - I love Uglies for many reasons and one of my favorite reasons is the plot. Tally lives in a world that when you turn sixteen you are to be sent off to under go surgery to become pretty and leave everything else behind. Tally waits impatiently for the day when she can finally become pretty and live with all her older friends who had the surgery before her. MOST OF THE SERIES IS AMAZING!!! I love the first three books but then the fourth one, Extras was kind of disappointing since there are different main characters. There is a fifth book but I have not started to read it yet. OVERALL I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!

5. Literally Garbage - Worst book ever I got little more the a few pages into and found it is one of the worst books ever written! I wanted to shoot the main character or my self just so I wouldn't have to read it. The head of the middle school pick out all the books and I knew just a few of the them to know all copies of them should be burnt or deleted. The person who picked them out is a kinda nice person, but she has AWFUL taste in books! I recommend if u can avoid this book as possible as u can. If I could I would tell the person who picked out the book list how much people dislike the books she picked out. My friend got stuck with a book where different people are repeating a story that happened in a chapter for FIVE of them! I hate this book and the others so bad, can someone put me out of my misery and shot me now like the would do with a sick animal. I wouldn't have even given this book one star if it didn't make me!
2015-07-06
6. Perfect for those who love page-turners - This series is amazing!! Especially as you start getting into the series. It's one of those that you cannot live without seeing what happens next! Definitely recommended. Into something sorta similar but with more action? Try Divergent. How about something a little more romantic? Try the Selection. Love love LOVE all of these if you are a big reader you'll love the style and everything about this book and the three others that follow.
2015-06-10
7. Good read for a th Grader - I want to be nice about this, but honestly it's really hard. This was a really bad book and basically a waste of my money. I had to read it for an essay to compare it against Fahrenheit (great writing, Ray Bradbury was awesome) and I couldn't even finish the book. I had to read summaries of the ending. The writing is bland, the characters are not very believable and fairly obnoxious since sometimes they act out of character. It's overall just disappointing. If you are maybe in th grade I can imagine this being a good book to read. But YA is middle school and Highschool. The moral behind the story is good enough. Being pretty is being original, yourself. Because originality is beauty and the differences between us make us pretty in our own way. Besides that this book is awful.

8. The banner on the cover is annoying - I love the book but, I just wish they would take off the "Scott Westerfield Afterworlds" banner on the cover because I did buy the book and I would at least want a beautiful looking cover. After all, let's be honest, that is one of the first reasons why people chose certain books and that is their cover.
2014-05-15
9. Horrible - One of the worst books I have ever read. I have read a lot of great dystopian novels, so I had a lot of hope for this book. Found it in my teacher's class (and my teacher has great taste) so I began reading, but this author had horrible dialogue and I just didn't connect with the story or characters the way I did with other trilogies (The Hunger Games, Divergent, Delirium, etc). I have nothing against the author, but I suggest making a more interesting story that your readers will enjoy reading. It really wasn't terrible, but I have definitely read better. But if someone out there is reading this right now and thinking that this is a bad book, don't let my review stop you from reading this book. We all have different tastes.
2014-03-23
10. Uglies - Uglies is an interesting story, unlike anything I've ever read before. The plot is a bit confusing at first but, as you go through the novel, suspicious actions occur and you become absorbed immediately. It does take a little while to begin enjoying the story and to get past utter confusion but, overall a very intriguing book.

1. Good - It isn’t really anything to say you love, but plot wise, it is very enjoyable to read. The change of POVS, was not annoying as it normally is in other books. The only thing I didn’t like is how the main characters could get a speck of information, and they could make a entire theory that was correct. Smart or not, that just doesn’t happen. Other than that, I would definitely recommend.

2. Satisfied - Ok for people who have seen my review for the book before I changed it I finished the trilogy and the books are bull. So for for readers who are debating to read the book don’t. You can look at my other reviews for prodigy and rebel for more info this isn’t soliciting and they are on this very app. I couldn’t make a review on Champion because it was restricted on my iPad so a friend let me borrow the book. Just believe me don’t read this terrible experience of the amazing world of books and embarrassing quality of writing and story.

3. Really?..... really? - It was an OK book as far as the story goes. I’m sure it doesn’t matter to most people, but annoyed me no end. Why put the number of pages out there making people think they are getting a good size book only to discover that more than pages are nothing but filler pages, acknowledgements, and stretched out table of content pages. Just annoying!!!

4. Love this book!!! - If you are a fan of Maze Runner, Hunger Games and/or Divergent you will love this book and series! This story will keep you on edge and have you wanting to flip pages wanting more. The storyline is beautifully written with great inner monologue giving you an insight in the characters’ mind. Lots of twists that will have you shocked! Highly recommend! /

5. Truly Inspirational - Marie Lu uses the epic power of a self-created future, a tragically realistic and logical present and the horrifying mistakes of the past to show us the meaning of fighting for what you love even if it costs you everything. Dystopia, sci-fi, romance, realistic fiction, it doesn’t matter what genre you think you like, this book kept me on my toes until the last page. Start reading and I promise you won’t stop until you’re getting ready to get the next book.
2019-03-02
6. Good, Not Great - I liked it, the characters were charming and relatable, the world had some very unique qualities, and the plot was nice.
I felt the world was a bit to much of a cardboard cutout ruthless government. The romance also felt pressed, like it hadn’t had time to develop. I also thought a few more things should have been clarified earlier on in the book. The reasoning behind some of the government’s actions seemed forced and unrealistic. Overall, I’d say there are better books out there. I don’t feel compelled to read the sequel and I preferred Warcross. It’s good, but not great.
2019-01-11
7. Awesome! - I was looking for a book to read, and I had liked Marie Lu’s writing style in the past, so I picked this book. I was absorbed into it the moment I opened the front cover. It is suspenseful, action-packed, and romantic, all combined into one book! Look forward to reading Prodigy and Champion!!

8. Best book ever!!! - This was the best book I have ever read !
I got the book in my library, a friend helped me find it. I am so thankful! This book made me cry. If you play a movie in your mind it is so sad. Any chance i get I would read (at night ). I am glad I got to read it! I’m really looking forward to reading the book Prodigy!!!
I hope it’s great!!!!!
(PS: I may spend , , dollars for these two books!!

9. This book is awesome - I loved this book so much that I read it in less than a day and I have read it about times after that and it still is not boring. Furthermore I recommend this book to readers of all ages because the plot keeps you occupied with nonstop action, and at least for me it made me look at life in a completely different perspective.

10. well done, story driven - Legend is the first of a trilogy. Set in a future where parts of the US have become The Republic, and others 'The Colonies' (and they are at war, plus the Republic is also facing a rebellion in its own borders), weather is extreme and society has become more structured, the haves and the have-nots more obvious. June Iparis is a prodigy - the only individual in the Republic to score perfectly on their trial which is used to determine what level education you receive and what jobs you are suited for. She is also an orphan. Early-on, she narrates her rebellious streak, her relationship with her beloved brother, and how wonderful and powerful and good the Republic is. Then, there is Day. He narrates his life as one of the society's less fortunate. He's from a poor slum where life is hard, resources scarce, and plague a constant threat. He's supposed to be dead, failed his trial, and now, he's wanted for criminal activity - he likes to disrupt the Republic by bombing things, steal supplies, etc although he's never killed anyone. When Day risks everything to save a family member, June hunts him - for personal reasons. As is typical of dystopian novels, she comes to learn that not everything she was taught is the truth. But, her conflict with Day is personal. Both narrators are well-drawn, voices distinct enough. The action is tight and the novel moves along quickly, without extraneous plots of giant chunks of exposition explaining the history of the world. In fact, few details are known on the how or why, or even a complete picture of the current state of the world of Day and June. The focus is on the characters and the action. The theme and the connection to issues of today are clear, but not overdone - no long speeches or chapters of rumination on the meaning of it all. No big surprises or twists, but it also didn't feel contrived or unoriginal. And while the changing relationship between the two narratives is expected, it isn't overly angst-filled or focused on more than the plot or theme. Legend is one of the better YA fantasy novels.
