1. Was this proof read before publication? - Not a bad book. The information is there. But I found myself searching for better photo illustrations on the web because the diagrams in the book were not so helpful. Also, while the reading is at a professional level in some ways, there are some grammatical shortcomings that cause one to have to re-read things to make sense of it only to find that the problem is in the book, not the reader. Here is an example: "The fibrous and connective tissues enveloping the glandular components of the breast and acts as a supporting framework for the entire breast.” This is just one of quite a few places where the sentence structure is incorrect. Another example of poor prood-reading is where it discusses mammography of the wheelchair-bound patient. It states that for such patients, the FB (from below) projection is useful and then refers to Figure -. The problem is that the illustrations are of the opposite of the FB projection — the CC view. Again, there are numerous areas of this text that had me scratching my head until I just chalked it up to poor editing. Room for lots of improvement.
