Extracurricular Adventure - An elusive entertainment extravaganza filled with adrenaline connections that qualify an individual who navigates the Internet before the time, into the time, and after the time that corporations began accelerating their ventures. Safety precautions took from K.Mitnick are put into reversal to figure ins’ and outs’ for layers of data. This story is a must read as I take all of his books are. For more I seek to continue a journey teaching me how to learn from others’ trials and errors of the vast world of social engineering. Thanks for the insight, this memoir was also a disguise of a possible bot turned human but then again that could be a twist into production.

2. Great read! Highly recommend - Great read for even un-computer savvy folks like myself. Being in my 's, I had no idea any of this was going on... The book was fast-paced, well told, and intelligently written. Thanks Kevin and Bill for the time and effort in putting this together. 3. Inspirational! - I have always admired Kevin for his vast curiosity and hunger for knowledge. Reading this book confirms my admiration towards a human being that could have made a fortune during his "exploration and investigation" stage, but held himself true to the values that make him an incredible person: honesty, respect for other people and willfullness to help others. This book holds proof that determination and will can help anyone achieve unimagined goals. Knowledge IS indeed equal to power. My only regret is the fact of just having digital copies of his books, that cannot be signed by him (or can them Kevin?) Thanks Kevin!

4. Good read but no responsibility taken - I found that the book was well written and very interesting. It had a great pace and an almost sympathetic lead character. In the long run I ended up wishing that Kevin would of taken more responsibility for his actions and admitted to the real damage he caused in violating the privacy of so many others so that he could get his thrills.

1. Solid book. But makes very simple grammatical errors - Provides a great overview for common concepts but shouldn’t be used as the only book to study for system design interviews. Also, there are many simple grammatical and spelling errors in the book. Specifically not using definite or indefinite articles properly or at all. “Collusion” vs “collision”. The book would be much less distracting while reading to have an editor fix these very simple (frankly embarrassing) issues.

2. Great resource for preparing system design interviews - This book is one of the best, if not the best, resources I have come across to use when I prepare for the system design round. The content is clear and concisely presented in steps that gradually build on top of each other in a way that allows you to follow along smoothly.

1. Manage Passwords with Password - I requested a sample of the book. I thought the table of contents might help me decide whether to buy. It gave me only six pages of copyrights, notes of rights and liabilities, use of trademarks etc... absolutely no clue as to the usefulness of the book. Then I noticed it is only pages long! If pages were worthless, I'm not sure how worthwhile the next pages will be. I'm not buying it... even for cents.

1. Great Introduction to Mac OS X Server and Servers in General! - As far as showing one a basic overview of Mac OS X Server . goes, this book definitely delivers. It's easy to understand and it is well laid out. Going from not knowing much about servers to this, I was able to learn a lot, but it was still somewhat of a bumpy ride. Similarly, I found that while the concepts taught in this book ARE tested on in the Mac OS X Server Essentials . exam, this book really only does so much to prepare one for that exam...certainly nowhere near as much as the Support Essentials books do for the corresponding Support Essentials exams. I'm not sure how much of that can be blamed on the book rather than on the exams and on the material covered in the book. To be fair, in Support Essentials, you are being shown how things work and why they don't when they don't, whereas in Server Essentials, you are shown a similar wealth of support knowledge, but it's not as straightforward in terms of developing that kind of support skills and it's all mainly from the standpoint of the three main OS X Server administrative apps (Server Admin, Workgroup Manager, and Server Preferences), which can be hard to digest by comparison. To be fair, none of that is really the fault of the authors; it's just a personal preference. Otherwise, the authors have laid out the material here very well and have made Snow Leopard Server relatively easy to dive into. It clearly doesn't provide EVERYTHING there is to know about Snow Leopard Server, but it does build a solid foundation and show you where to go from there if you are actually interested in knowing more. Even with Lion Server being out, I would still recommend this book to someone wanting to be a Mac OS X Server Admin, as even if you were to use Lion Server, this book will give you a well rounded education on how things were before the major changes, which I'd imagine, would make you only that much better at dealing with and understanding what's in Lion Server to begin with. Again, it's not the most entertaining Mac OS X read, but there are certainly dryer IT reads out there and the two authors really do a great job of making the material at hand digestible. At least as good of a job as can be done.
