1. The Man Who Invented Romance - Frank Sinatra: teach your children the name and have them grow up with his music playing in your home. The velvety baritone, the shy and sly romancer, the cool cat who defined the term. He wore suits, he drank brown liquor and smoked cigarettes, he loved women, he was also a man’s man. He was the definition of the American Male when the United States caught the world’s imagination and made our culture large. He wept, he triumphed, he won trophies and he loved broads. He made his mark.

1. Well-Recorded - I use HD- Headphones, and if you are familiar with them, they are very picky when it comes to a well recorded song.. All of these in this album are extremely well recorded with great quality. Alot of great hits in this album, he places a marvelous signature on all of these tracks, you won't be dissapointed(Also the alternate take on Nice 'n' Easy is interesting!).

1. One of the top voices of all time!! - I am "only in my 's" and I would put Andy right up there with Frank Sinatra!
He had the smoothest voice I ever heard! I can remember watching his variety show in the 's and just thinking what a great voice!! I have heard so many of his songs the past couple of days, and I decided I just had to get his "greatest" hits!
I hope you are singing with tha angles Andy because that is where you belong!! Rest In Peace!!

2. Andy....one of the greatest and so under-rated.... - Hearing the voice of Andy Williams will always take me out of any "so-so" mood and put me in a great mood. His style is so relaxing and so unique. There is just something so very special about anything that he sings. Andy's voice and his arrangements turn average songs into classics. Andy is a true legend. Joe in NH.

1. As usual an even higher standard! - Congratulations on this one! Loved the work and the richness of your voices. I keep being surprised, and I have been a fan of yours... so was my Uncle Ray( in the UK). Thank you for reminding me all over again, that a true standard song.... is anything but that, when it’s being sung by you, Barbra.

2. Partners - I am a huge Streisand fan but as usual what the majority of the public really likes I found "ok". But! there are a few gems that I really thought were quite good. "It Had To Be You" I thought was quite good. "I Still Can See Your Face" was haunting. "How Deep Is The Ocean" was so sad I wanted to go and hug my mother. I really like the intro To "What Kind Of Fool" and last was "Love Me Tender" which also had a terrific intro and I thought sentimental for the King.

3. Exquisite! - Once in a blue moon, along comes a MASTERPIECE!
In an age of homogenized music, Partners reminds us what it feels like to be moved by beautifully, thoughtfully, crafted music. It’s a pleasure to hear music that pulls you in and asks you to really experience it. This collection is intimate and inspiring.

4. Awesome Barbra! - What a great album! I love the remake of classic songs as duets and I especially loved my introduction to this album. Babs appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and THEY did a duet. Jimmy has a pretty good singing voice and Barbra was a really good sport as Jimmy sang the songs in place of Elvis and Blake. I’m looking forward to her next “Partners”album. What GREAT music!

5. good falling asleep music - I like Barbra with the orchestra and sweeping lyrics and high notes. This almost sounds like MUZAC elevator arrangments. I don't understand why multi millionare artists with multi decade careers feel like they have to keep pushing out average records. She had admitted, she doesn't even really like to sing all that much, and it kinda shows on this record. She probably has this ridiculous fear of going broke or something. Can't see any sparkle in this at all.

6. Partners in Harmony - One of my favorite Streisand albums in the Duet Genre Barbara Streisand Created because she has a Once in an Eternity Voice and she knows talent and whether it is Partners or Duets her voice is magical and the pairings bring back so many memories of times Past and Good Times. Thank You Barbara and thank you for the kind letter you sent to my mom many years ago. Barbara give us more of the early voice any recordings not published yet or whatever you want. I have every CD and I want more.

7. Savor the evolution of this great singers career! - I’ve been hoping Barbra, one of my all time favorite singers, would record a new album —and much to my delight here it is! It’s hard to record old hits in a new way but I have to say adding ‘Partners’ was a brilliant idea. It’s not simply a new recording of Barbra's old stuff—adding Partners makes it a whole new song! Now I can enjoy Barbra (and friends) 'then and now’ and savor the evolution of this great singers career. Thank you Barbra, thank you Columbia!

8. Worth listening to - Most of the songs are enjoyable. I did not like the arrangement on The Way We Were. It's almost unrecognizable. I also didn't like Somewhere for the same reason. I missed Barry Gibb on What Kind of Fool. I think Barbra can still out sing pretty much anyone. Her voice and her partners on the CD are great. But many songs are very different than the originals. It takes some getting used to.

9. Fabulous! - I was looking forward to the duet album of Tony Bennet with Lady GaGa...but was disappointed with it because GaGa can't do duets... if you listen to the interview that Barbra does with Katie Kouric, she says that "women want to do their own thing", and that's why she prefers to work with men... too true!

10. The Way We Used To Be & Can’t Be Again - First, iTunes needs to change it’s “star” system. It’s the same one that Amazon has in which you click stars and it says, “It’s OK.” That is NOT my opinion about this album. I chose stars because I honestly do not believe this album is as good as it could have been. It’s hard to know what exactly went wrong, but only the second half of Barbra’s new album works, starting with “The Way We Were.” That was the first cut I could tolerate. I am a pianist and a musical director. I listened to it with one my of singer friends, a woman with a glorious voice who is in high demand. We are both Barbra fans. We could hardly wait to sit down and listen. And then it started. We actually laughed out loud. I thought, “Barbra, darling, really? This is what you wanted to do? You wanted to ‘reinterpret’ and ‘cover’ your own songs… the ones that you sang definitive versions of?” I simply could not listen to her butcher “People” — Stevie Wonder, yes, he is still a wonder, and he applied his magic to it, but I do not think it made it better and I do not think Barbra made it better. I am not interested in “Barbra-lite” — and despite the fact that, at , she often sounds fantastic, she is also often scratchy, sometimes not exactly on the note, sometimes a little heavy-handed in her approach, so she sounds like she’s about to go Ethel Merman on the song , and in one moment we could not believe, it sounded like her voice cracked. I’m sorry, as fantastic as she is, I believe she could have easily chose an album of new songs to wow her faithful fans. She did not need to “revisit” masterpieces… masterpieces that she was responsible for creating. Barbra, honey, did you ever hear the phrase, “You can’t go home again”? This album is a clear example that she has not. I honestly don’t know what she was thinking. “I Can Still See Your Face” (with Andrea Bocelli) was the first song on the album where we both said, “Wow. That was good.” She really got us on that one and I was back to being a fan. And her duet with her son is perfect. But when she sings “New York State of Mind” with Billy Joel (who sounds so much better than she does), and at the end of the song, he first suggests going out for pizza, and then going out for Chinese, and she says “Even bet-tah…” — the way she says the word “better” — making sure we hear each “t” separately — I wanted to slap her. It sounded forced, fake, overdone… it was awful. We decided that “Evergreen” with Babyface sounded like something people would have done at a cabaret club… meaning sung by people who were not famous, and probably on amateur night. It was very “background music-ish”. It bored me to tears. And so, the album is a mixed bag at best. And I wish, I wish, I wish, that someone could tell Barbra to cut her hair (she looks like some Bohemian grandmother) and to please, please wear SOMETHING other than black and white. She looks like she just stepped off the set of “THE ADDAMS FAMILY “ and thought “Why should I change my costume? Worked for the ADDAMS FAMILY, it will work for my album cover, as well!” Last, Barbra’’s voice is often mixed slightly (or blatantly) HIGHER than her male counterpart. She also has an annoying habit of singing over anyone else, with cutesy “hums.” She did shut up for the first part of “How Deep Is The Ocean” — thank God, as this enabled to hear the beauty of Jason Gould’s singing voice. I love Barbra, I just think that many cuts on this album were questionable. Otherwise, I hope she continues to live in good health and consult someone who will tell her “the truth” she really needs to hear before embarking on a new project.

11. Barbra at her best - Barbra hasn't sound so good since the early 's, it seems that being in the company of "A" list artists makes her work harder in achieving perfection, and it is welcomed in this album. Some of the Ad lib in some songs may appear forced, but the album as a whole is cohesive and entertaining. We can thank Babyface and Walter Afanasief for producing a great album.

12. No!! - years ago .... Totally B.S.! - - years ago, the line would have been great. She was good singer. Today, her vocals pale in comparison to the other singers. She chose great singers, but again her vocals are so weak that she speaks her songs. She does not sing her songs. When she is singing, it does not resonate well. Why did she not come out - years ago. Why now? Anyone over years old, their vocal chords (i.e. muscles are weaker). I forget her age, but she is definitely older than (if I had to guess over ). Looks great, but vocal abilities are not so good. I love Barbara's old songs. Not this album. Sorry B.S.

13. A lady with chops - While she may be a total Diva, she has picked her most iconic songs and reimagined them completely and beautifully with some of this century's vocal giants. Just wish she had been willing to include some female partners as well. Alicia Keys, Sarah Brightman....could have been even better. Nothing wrong with gilding the lily.

14. Would rather shove ice pics into my ears! - I must first say that I'm a little bias. I HATE Barbara Streisand with a passion! I figured I'd give this a listen to see why it is all of her albums go to ... I don't get it. I'm sorry, I tried. I think many of these songs would have been great, without her vocals. I especially liked the John Mayer track, but had to turn it off in order to tune out Streisand's voice. I would rather shove ice pics into my ears than have to listen to another Streisand tune!

15. Streisand again shows why she matters - I have listened to her voice since I was in my early teens. Even when I listen to her music repeatedly I sense it differently from time to time. I do not know of any other singer with the depth, range of styles, and intelligence - her age or other - that can command a song the way she does. She is so phenomenally a talent, and I am so glad that I am alive and able to see her in concert(s), listen to her music, read about her politics, watch her movies. This album is really good! On some songs, I am in thrall of her voice again and again. Very few singers nowadays have even a smidgen of her talent. I hope she lives a longer and healthy life...and records more!

16. Partners - This musica rendition represents the best of a group of artists who have been very successful in their careears. For our delight Barbra once again struck the right cords because she is the best of the best; however, her partners compliment the effort and represent these group exemplary because they are among the best the music business. The rendition with Michael Buble is greatbut also Billy Joel and Barbra in"New Your State of Mind" Long live all of them and keep producing the magnificent music you all are doing. Thank you

1. Perry Como's Greatest Hits - I've always known Perry Como as having a calming and soothing voice that lessens day-to-day stresses especially in our current economic times. His best songs on this and other albums are of these types, although, he is still good on those with up beats. My favorite by far is "And I Love You So" and chose it for our wedding dance. My parents have loved his music and I can now understand why.

1. Most Requested Songs - I downloaded songs from this album, this time. However, I have owned this entire album thru the era of rpm long play records, then owned it in -track, then owned it in cassette, then on CD, and now on my iphone. Andy Williams has such a beautiful voice, and he sings so effortlessly. He reminds me of Perry Como in that. To be able to sing high notes, or low notes, and never a grimace like other singers, or any indication that this is something out of the ordinary for his voice. I like the song, 'Sweet Memories' best on the album because it sounds so much like a eulogy to someone he loved so much. I think this song, plus the Righteous Brothers version of 'Unchained Melody' are perhaps the most beautiful songs of all time. So much emotion in both songs.

2. Fabulous! - I think Andy Williams is one of the best singers that have ever graced the airwaves. It is too bad that radio is now filled with lyrics of hate and killing, and with "singers" who cannot sing. Andy has a voice that ranks right up with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Tony Bennett and Mel Torme. When I was a child I used to watch the Andy Williams show on TV. Andy is a great singer but he also is a funny comedian. It was on Andy Williams's show that the Osmond Brothers were discovered. Anyway, Andy still performs in Branson Missouri, even though he is in his 's. He sounds GREAT! If you like great singing, then this is the album for you. HAPPY LISTENING!!!

1. Andy Williams - Biggest Hits - Andy Williams is timeless. His smooth and soaring voice can take the listener on a musical voyage that few other artists are capable of. Aside from his iconic Moon River, my favorites are (Where Do I Begin) Love Story and The Second Time Around (not on this collection). He has many many more than "greats" but this is an excellent collection. Andy Williams is an American treasure.

1. Tony Bennett Live - Doesn’t Get Much Better - This recording is a definitive example of what GREAT saloon style singing is all about. At nearly years old, Bennett belts out jazz-hued classic after classic. Fly Me to the Moon is met with thunderous applause as Bennett serves up the great American songbook with style and class. There’s not a bad selection in this live performance. Listen and sip on life.

1. The best ever - This is a great starter for someone new to Dean. Might be the best hits package available. No disrespect to Sinatra or Elvis or Michael...but there will never be another performer like Dean Martin. He did it all and he was the best. I love his music, his movies and his tv shows. 1. It doesn't get much better than Barry Manilow LIVE! - I know I had this album (in vinyl) way back when. But after seeing Barry this past summer in the heartland of America, I was reminded how much fun it is to listen to Barry LIVE. I just had to get this collection again for my iPOD. Something about Barry Manilow songs puts me in a good mood and makes me want to listen and listen.

1. Bennett Sings the Sinatra Songbook - Wow! - The last living swing era and saloon singer legend pays tribute to Sinatra, and he doesn’t disappoint! There’s not a bad song on the recording. Highlights include, I Thought About You and One for My Baby. Bennett was Sinatra’s favorite singer, and this recording makes it easy to see why. Wonderfully accompanied by the Ralph Sharon Trio, Bennett delivers like few others can. Phrasing, articulation, style and class - it’s all there.

1. / - it’s such a. weird and obscure show that you can pretty much only see on norwegian cruise ships. i saw it on the encore days ago, and they had “ ways to leave your lover” instead of teenage dream, but honestly both were good. it’s a strange, corny, and wonderful show, and i wholeheartedly recommend it to any theater, drama, or music interested people.

1. Love It! - In my early ’s I decided to watch Bette Davis movies but I didn’t know she made a cd. Her music is quite interesting, she is acting through the music. Is amazing how the drama of the songs matches her acting. Perhaps it reminds us what could have been when we didn’t have TV sets and people listen to the radio in which actors played roles and was accompanied with background music. The producer did a good job marrying Bette Davis voice with the music. If you love Bette Davis this is must to have.

2. Meh - It's Bette Davis in a modern era recording studio in stereo, so yes it's a bit of a treasure in that regard. And yes, the orchestra harkens back to Warner Bros.' golden age. But her range is about / an octave and pretty much all of the selections are griping about getting old. It's not even so bad it's funny. Nor is it insipid enough to be worshipped as camp. It's just not entertaining IMHO. Still bought it. Would DEFINITELY buy an original LP at a Good Will. A beat up LP copy would definitely have some camp value. But to just sit and listen in pristine master tape quality to an aging actress complain about getting old and knowing what the future had in store for her- how awful she looked at the end of her life, the lung cancer, the hip replacement, her seemingly ungrateful daughter- It just doesn't put me in a happy place the way records like "Way Out West", "Sentimental Eartha" or "The Ethel Merman Disco Album" do.

3. WHERE WAS THIS MASTERPIECE HIDING? I HEART MISS BETTE - I heard one of her songs today on internet radio and quickly came to iTunes here is the masterpiece. i had to buy it immediately. Yes she is not the best singer or the best voice but her interpretation of the songs is so Bette that you can feel her in your living room she sang these songs with out a care in the world. no matter what critics said she still did it her way and its a great collection of songs for a bette davis fan .i knew i struck gold when i saw "written a letter to Daddy " on the song list. what a gem. Bette will live on forever in these songs. she did this album because she was bette davis

4. Love Her!!!!!!!!!!!! - Anyone with ears that listens knows that Bette was not a singer. Hell even Bette herself knew that. But back in the studio era of Hollywood and a few years after, everyone got into the act. Like Mae West who recorded a Rock N Roll Album with songs such as Great Balls of Fire and Twist and Shout. Yes, admittedly Bette couldn't have carried a musical like Debbie Reynolds or Marilyn Monroe. But that wasn't the goal here. This was just pure entertainment for entertainment sake that was all in good fun. People can't take this too seriously otherwise you will be disappointed. But those who get it will truly enjoy it!!! Now itunes needs to find Bette's recording of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane and make it available.

5. What a Hoot! - I LOVE Bette Davis and it's soooo interesting to listen to her approach music in that "Rex Harrison style" of talk-singing. Although not the best vocalist (she's no Barbra) it IS interesting and fun to listen to her tackle some songs. She "acts" them, and you can feel that when listening to these tracks. If you are a Bette Davis fan, this is a MUST!

6. Bette Davis...WE DO LOVE YOU! - Okay, so Bette Davis isnt exactly a Mairah Carey or Celine Dion, but when you listen to her its like listening to a movie. She acts in her voice. Her voice is unique and original. It's a shame how people judge singers solely by thier vocal range. Bette Davis' voice is a classic treasure and is the definition of the 's & 's film. Worth it if your a Bette Davis fan!

1. A portrait of the artist - Sinatra fans come in three categories: those that love the Reprise years, those that favor the Capitol era and a few (like me) love the Columbia years. Why? This collection tells the whole story of how Tommy Dorsey’s “boy singer” cut loose and became a superstar. Along the way you hear, through the various songs, how he perfected his craft and was not afraid to try new genres: novelty tunes, Broadway and even Gospel music. And we witness the downfall in which Columbia boss Mitch Miller gave him material that was popular at the time, but not Sinatra’s style (Sinatra and Dagmar sing “Mama Will Bark”). Finally “Why Try to Change Me Now,” the prophetic tune released before Columbia dropped him. It would take more bad movies and bad times before his Academy Award-winning role in “From Here to Eternity”and a record deal with Capitol Records before Sinatra was back on top and better than ever. If you're a serious Sinatra fan this collection is worth every penny.

1. Sweet! Bubbly! Cheerful! Fun! - I don't know how, but a lot of the songs on this album sound like they were written a long time ago and dusted off and then covered by The Flat Five. I've read a handful of reviews, but I have yet to see one that says that "This is Your Night" is a total homage to late s Brasil . It's an awesome tune and although it sounds like it could be from the Age of Aquarius, it's absolutely contemporary. If you like upbeat pop that emphasizes harmony, this album is for you. There is nothing new else like this album. Nothing.

2. Wow! - Wow! Wow! Wow! This is my vote for album of the year. Lush vocal harmonies that put you in the mind of the Mills Bros., the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and dare I say it, the Fifth Dimension. There I dared say it. It's been a good long while since I have listened to an album that has radiated so much love and hope. And damnit, this is just a fun album! Does any one remember fun? Go get you some Flat Five. You will be glad you did.

2. Ann-Margret has huge talents, neither of which is singing, but... - This is one of the HOTTEST disco albums of all-time! So what if Ann-Margret can NOT sing? Who cares? This is one HOT album! I remember dancing to "Love Rush" at a leather bar in -something, and thought at the time that I was hallucinating because . Why were people dancing in a leather bar?; and . Why was a DJ playing "Love Rush" in a club in the first place? Anyway, Ann-Margret is the BEST! She's so hot, she doesn't have to sing!
