1. Greatest historian of all time - Carlin has the unique gift of re-telling the stories of our past in a way that makes them vivid and relatable. The human drama brought to life in his works is exponentially more intense than any documentary or audiobook I’ve ever encountered. For example, the series on WW brought me to actual tears. How many audiobooks have that kind of impact? Charge more for your work Carlin—you’re the best that’s ever lived at this.

2. Please Charge More - Dan, In we vote with our dollar. And I want to vote for more content from you, more frequently. Please don’t hesitate to consider charging and charging more for your content (whatever you need to do to keep producing comfortably) Thank you for existing. You have a once-in-generation gift.

3. Dan Carlin is my favorite human being - Dude, you rock. As for the “Thor’s Extra” first few minutes... please go with your gut on what you want to do and let everything just flow out. Anyone who says your stuff is “too long” is someone who isn’t realizing that you’re making epic volumes of periods of history that will be studied and listened to for hundreds or thousands of years. You are THE historian. I know you’re modest and say that you’re just a fan of history, but that’s partially what makes you the best. You don’t put your own political spin on it or have some agenda or nefarious bias. Consider your work a form of art (besides your incredible gift to contextualize and be unbelievably entertaining about subjects that typical historians can’t transmit so entertainingly to mass amounts of “normal” people) but that you probably won’t get the full credit you deserve until very late in your life or (so sadly) after you’re gone. You are giving an incredible gift to mankind and like I said, you are my favorite person alive. Please do things the way YOU think they should be done. Don’t let less enlightened people influence your gift to countless future generations and please know that so many of us are appreciative and are eagerly waiting for the next masterpiece you allow us to enjoy. I tell everyone about you and hope you get all the recognition you deserve. If we were a better species, you and anyone half as good as you would be the household names, not these mind numbing celebrities that contribute nothing worthwhile to advance our species. I love you man. Keep up the phenomenal work.

1. Hardcore History will change you! - I’m very fortunate to have all of Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History podcasts, and there is nothing like them. Each podcast is well researched and presented in a way that is second to none. If you ever thought you might be interested in history if only it wasn’t so dry and boring, here is your answer! Don’t limit yourself to just one; get them all!!! I’ve listened to every one twice and am halfway through a third time. Each CD is packed with so much information, it’s easy to enjoy many times over.

2. Another outstanding body of work - I really enjoyed this series! Carlin's narrativ style blends a foundation of cold hard facts with fascinating humanistic details of the individuals involved and how their personalities influenced their reaction to the events in which they found themsleves. I came away from this series with a "Coctail Party" level of understanding of this fascinating aspect of a war people think they know about. Mazel Tov Dan! well done!

3. A Must for History Fans - I have owned this series for a little over a month now and have listened to it at least a dozen times. Not only is it extremely enlightening and entertaining, it has kindled a strong desire to learn more about the most important theatre of WWII. The show notes on the Hardcore History webbie has the full bibliography for the shows.

4. Ghosts of the Ostfront - Description: Part One covering the conflict between the Germans and the Soviet Union in the Second World War. 5. The horrors of the eastern front brought to life - This is a fantastic telling of the horrific eastern front of World War . I had never realized the scope and evil from both sides of this conflict prior to listening to this. This podcast is the primary reason I was interested enough in history to study it in college. Download these episodes if you haven't hear them, this is a great place to start.

6. Most amazing series on WW ever (I don't say it lightly) - This series "Ghosts of the Ostfront" - is beyond incredible. You'll learn so much (eg. out of ever German soldiers who died in WW died on the Eastern Front) and have such an incredibly viceral experience listening to it that as soon as your psyche and stomach can handle it, you'll go back for more. Dan brings this incredible story to life and really puts you there better than anything else I've experienced. Enjoy!

1. Absolutely riveting - Dan Carlin does it again. Once again, he gives a command performance in this series about the "Eastern Front" of World War II — the one we seldom hear about between Germany and the Soviet Union. This part in the series is every bit as amazing, awe-inspiring and terrifying as the rest. Originally produced as a series of podcasts, this collection of suspenseful, supremely well-documented and thought-provoking lectures becomes a special kind of audiobook — one without a paper equivalent. Carlin has not only found the ideal medium for making history come alive. As a master storyteller, he has birthed a treasure trove of true stories about humanity's most loathsome mistakes and it's greatest triumphs. The perfect medium not just for learning about, but also for thoroughly enjoying, the subject of history. Be sure to listen to all of the "episodes" in the "Ghosts of the Ostfront" series in order, for the best experience.

1. Superb - Whether you're fascinated by the Mongols or you haven't yet had the opportunity to become fascinated by the Mongols, you'll love this series; I fell into the latter category when I downloaded it, but Dan quickly drew me into the former. This series opened a new avenue of interest for me, and that's something you can't easily put a price on.

2. UNBELIEVABLY GOOD - This was not the first Dan Carlin episode I've listened to and it certainly won't be the last. It's hard for me to explain just how interesting this show is, but for what it's worth I have over a dozen podcasts that I regularly listen to and this is the only one that's so good I would feel bad if I didn't say something positive about it. History and ancient storytelling combined in way like you've never heard, I promise you. Seriously, shut up and listen. Your brain will thank you later.

3. History comes alive - Got completely hooked on Hard Core History. I've been listening to different history podcast for about a year now and though most are good Dan takes it to another level. His ability to paint a mind picture is unsurpassed. His narration is riveting. Bring the blood and gore associated with important historical events to life without being gratuitous. If you're looking for educational entertainment while driving in traffic this is it.

4. Got me hooked on Hardcore History, tells both sides - Applies relativity in an intelligent, non agenda driven way. Really helps you understand the situation. Luckily i got this while it was still free on the podcast but its worth the $ or bucks imo. Lots of newer stuff of his is free on the podcast btw.

1. Great - Look, I agree it sounds different. But if you ever listened to song off of iTunes and then hear it live the song will be performed differently. It's the same with Nightvale. This episode was litterally meant to be twice as long, twice as ridiculous, and twice of everything that makes Nightvale great. So quite honesty I think it was great!!
2014-04-05
2. Excellent! - I do agree that Mr. Baldwin could have used a more effective mic, but that does not at all detract from the enjoyment of the show!! The voices and acting was phenomenal, as usual. Definitely one of my favorites so far! (Not that I don't love all of the Night Vale episodes!) Fantastic job, Mr. Fink, Mr. Cranor, and all else who had a hand in the production!! I hope to be listening to Night Vale for a long time to come! (Not that time exists, though... of course it doesn't.)
2014-03-16
3. Uh, guys... - Please give Cecil Baldwin some amplification. Cecil Baldwin trying to project to hit the back of a venue does not sound like Cecil Gershwin behind his mic in a studio. It was a bit jarring, and WTNV relies on Cecil being more low-key and "radiolike". Rest of the regular cast, especially Mara Wilson, great job, solid performance. It may take me awhile to get used to Carlos, if he gets added to the regulars, but that's not the actor's fault. Writing seemed slightly off-stride, kinda missing the zing and electricity of earlier NV, maybe that's just the price of doing it live. All in all, worth the time and the money, it just doesn't stand out above some really great podcast work where NV has thrived. Good effort mostly, folks.

1. Hiram didn’t do it. - I’ve been listening to night vale since the th episode, i think, and I’ve anticipated every episode since. When I listened to episode , I actually started crying. When I hear the sound of sweet Cecil’s voice saying good night, I feel whole. Vote for Hiram McDaniels, because he is literally a headed dragon.

1. Favorite episodes from the world's finest podcaster - Dan Carlin is an amazing storyteller, and succeeds overwhelmingly at conveying the greatest stories of our past. These stories are so incomprehensibly fantastic, that is difficult to imagine that they actually happened, to people just like you and me, and yet they did. And yet somehow some people manage to make them boring to many people. Not so with Carlin. With a "quality over quantity" approach, he delivers massive shows--often many hours in length, and leaves you glued to every second of them. Finally someone who knows how to do history justice. And he does it show, after show, after show. Also check out his other podcast, "common sense." Every. single. show. I have heard thus far of his is worthy of stars. This series, and the series "Blueprint for Armageddon" I consider to be his best to date. Especially the epic, hour long final part (which I listened to all of, mesmerised, in one sitting). I knew of Julius Caesar's significance to history, of course, but I was never aware of what a fascinating man he really was. Politically a liberal, almost populist figure, and yet an absolute dictator of what was nominally supposed to be a Republic. The victor in a long, merciless, battle for control of the entire civilized world, and yet known for being "a good guy." I could go on, but I won't do it justice--why don't you take a listen for yourself?

2. Not to be missed - Carlin is the master of info-tainment. His work is consistently superb and is alway well sourced. When people ask why i sought a degree in History, i recomend that they listen to Carlin and if they still don't understand, i know there is nothing i can tell them that will make them "get it". I have listened to everything he has ever released and would instantly purchase anything he releases even if it were titled "Dan Carlin's meditations on toenail growth." done and DONE!

3. Cato, Cato, Cato... - If you are a human you must hear this. So many parts of human culture are steeped in the echoes from the Roman Republic. This series spans decades with clarity and genius. See all the connections. Learn the history of words like 'triumph' and 'crass' and 'brutal'. You will be more relevant and smarter after listening.

2. An hour and a half to introduce two men - This is, in most ways a wasted episode. This entire period introduces one and a half men: Marius with a nod to Sulla. Additionally, it mentions how the emergencies which allowed Marius to 'fix' the Republic also set itself up for the permanent rule of the later dictators. Here is the flaw in Dan's style for most of these podcasts: he will read you a quote IN ENGLISH of some historian...and then he will take twice that time to reexplain THE EXACT SAME THING THE QUOTE JUST SAID. Dan thinks you are stupid. So these podcasts, while quite good, and more detailed than 'The History of Rome', are overly fluffy. It is just his style but it grates at times. And I really don't need the oratorical flourishes in the quotes, but okay.

1. Keep holstered until ready to fire! - While traveling via airplane, I thought I would sneak in a nap. I put on my headphones & set my music to shuffle and dozed off, totally forgetting that Jocko’s Psychological Warfare was embedded in my music...when suddenly, the first track, Get up and get after it came on! It was like a grenade in my head! My eyes flew open and my legs catapulted me straight up!! I was ready to get after it...although the flight attendants did not approve. I was remanded to my seat, having to stifle my “get after it” drive. Do not listen if you are not fully prepared to get after it!!

2. Ice Bath for a Fever of Weakness - Stay in the struggle, stay in the fight. Your body and mind crave difficulty. One of my biggest issues is convincing myself if I don’t have everything set to go and I can do it without failure I won’t do it. This album slaps that idea out of my head and gets me into the fight. Stop finding reasons to not do it, just get after it.

3. Get up get after it - I have purchased only one track thus far. It was the first one on the whole thing last night at about . I set my alarm to it and went to bed. I kid you not when my alarm went off at : the track didn’t even finish ‘ seconds’ and I was out of bed on my way to early jits class less I anger Jocko. I recommend it to anyone that can’t get out of bed in the morning.

4. Great album WITH tracks! great for the occasional prank - This album with tracks (Jocko tracks) will keep you on the PATH...it’s also afforded me a few good laughs when having the occasion overnight female guest, I will set to alarm to Wake Up and Move Forward, the reaction to them hearing Jockos voice and being woken up at : is priceless. Warning: some people might think there is an intruder in the room

5. YES. YES YES YES. - There is a reason this album has a perfect rating- put it on in the morning when you are feeling lazy and TRY to not get up and get after it. Don't really, if you're lazy like me, you'll find a way. However, try something different. Listen to the podcast. Let the aggression of action flow through your veins, make the decision, and MOVE. Thanks, Jocko. You motivate me.

6. Support the podcast! - Purchased to support the podcast, which has been an awesome addition to my work week. Consider this album a how-to for self talk. Sure, the words sound great coming from Jocko's cool, level, gravely voice, but you won't fully benefit from this without internalizing it and speaking it to yourself all day, every single day. Even if you aren't into working out or martial arts, this album teaches you how to speak to yourself in such a way that you can overcome your own doubts, and achieve the goals you seek.

7. Portable Self-Discipline Coach! - This album changed my life! It's like having a portable self-discipline coach! I listen to this album every morning! As a result... - I don't hit the snooze button;
- I'm more focused and productive; - I eat right and have lost almost () pounds in a month; and, - I'm exercising more, amongst many other things. Thank you, Jocko!

8. Get After It - Are you in a trench right now, getting shelled by bombs bigger than a Volkswagen? Are you downrange, fighting our nation's enemies, while your wife gives birth at home? Have you lost your leg in battle and are getting discharged at and the military is all you've known? Are you the CEO of a struggling company and aren't sure how you're gonna pay your employees next Friday? No? Well, then what are you waiting for? Quit feeling sorry for yourself. Get up. Get after it.
2017-03-05
9. The perfect tool to introduce your kids to Jocko! - My year old daughter now asks for this on the way to school. Perfect and safe way to get your little troopers introduced to the truth! I've been teaching that sugar is poison.. But when she heard Jocko say it...it stuck! DONT Believe the sugarcoated lies!!! MM out.
2017-02-14
10. Snooze no more! - Not gonna lie I originally just came here to purchase and support the podcast. My wife and I have been habitual snoozers for the last years and many a workout has suffered because of it. I thought it was pretty unrealistic to think an alarm (albeit motivational) could change that. It's been days and we haven't hit the snooze button once. We actually started competing to see who can get dressed for our workout quickest and all while Jocko encourages us to get STRONGER, FASTER & BETTER. A huge thank you to both Jocko and Echo, you guys friggin rock! Keep encouraging us to get after it and I will commit to paying it forward.

1. Such An Interesting Story! - Nuts to think that there's so much intriguing drama about the Punic Wars that I've never heard about! What's typically a footnote in a documentary or synopsized in intro history textbooks Dan greatly expounds upon to show how all the domino pieces lined up together to create really a global (for that time) "known" series of world wars. After listening to his incredible Blueprint for Armageddon saga on World War I, I think the connections he makes between the First World War and the first Punic War really are poignantly similar. An excellent entryway if you're new to Hardcore History, pick it up and I promise you won't regret.it. You'll be hooked until the end of part three!

2. Punic Nightmares is really fantastic! - I had never been a history fanatic but Dan Carlin tells the story in such a way that you can't help getting drawn in. He is like having your favorite uncle tell you stories of your heroic Grandfather's exploits. After listening any of Dan's podcasts, I feel as though I have actually been to whatever time and place he is discussing.

3. Worth every penny! - I have a long Dailey commute ( like most S.Californian's ) and have come to know and appreciate audio books. Dan Carlins Hardcore History podcasts/episodes are among the best. Each episode is highly entertaining and ultimately relevant to many current events. If you're looking for some mind expanding fun,try a few of these and you'll be hooked..

4. Incredible story that you'll marvel you haven't heard before - This is an amazing series on an awesome topic, The superpower battle of the ancient world. You get Dan's awesome perspective along with tonnes of great history as well as incredible figures like Hannibal Barca and Scipio Africanis. 1. Great Closure to a Truly Great Series - This little bookend of a show neatly ties up Dan's truly excellent Khan series, and offers a more conclusive end to it in my opinion than episode IV. There's more detailing how the influence of Mongol military tactics have never really left since their inception by the nomadic step peoples, and sharp analysis of the current state of Mongol historiography. In addition is some brilliant commentary tying up the little tangents he drew in parts I, II, III, & IV to contemporary society. Really insightful and definitely worth getting if you want the cherry on top of your Wrath of the Khans experience! Great work Dan, seriously.

1. I'm a Carlinian - Dan Carlin is as insightful as the history tales he relates are riveting. Yes we've all been taught, or at least have heard of, the destruction of Carthage and the fearsome Hannibal, but Carlin gives more than names (though granted in this selection names are limited) dates, and treaties — you can feel the battle and smell the fear. This epic, gut-wrenching story is the perfect introduction to the Dan Carlin style. It is cunning, adventurous, and unabashedly in your face; in a word: it's hardcore.

1. It’s good but..... - I bought this episode some time ago, but now for some reason it won’t play on Apple Music. It just says “cancelled” when I try to play it. I can’t re-download it either. Anyways I can’t seem to find a solution to this problem, I subscribed to Apple Music recently but that also didn’t help. To some it up I’m have a technical problem. But other then that it was great last time I heard it.

3. Everything Dan puts out is awesome - I'll admit I'm a fan of history, but Dan's storytelling abilities are just compelling - I think he could get anyone interested in the topics he covers. There's not a lot of guys who could put out like hours of content on the fall of the Roman Empire and leave you wishing for more. I got hooked on Dan's free history podcast and have been buying up his older episodes ever sense. Most of his stuff I'll listen to again a year or two later - it's that good. His stuff is never boring ever.

1. Outstanding! - Dan Carlin has a knack for making historical figures jump from the pages of dusty history books and come to life with human stories. Apache Tears sheds light on one of the most controversial people in US history, Geronimo and his tribe, who were described by a general who spent his career fighting them as "the tigers of the human species!"

2. AMAZING! - I loved this album! I really enjoy listening to Dan and the way he tells these stories about history. In Apache Tears I had learned so much information, just like the podcasts. I would recomend this to anyone who loves history, Native American culture, and just likes to learn. BIG thanks to Dan. Also check out Dan when he is a guest on Joe Rogan's podcast.

1. Restless Being - Kelly, I want to say thank you for helping people like me find ourselves back. My true healing is beginning and I am looking forward to a total reprogrammed mind that brings positive impact into the universe. I share my love for you and all the people who believe in your life-changing work.

2. AWESOME - I can't really put into words how wonderful this meditation guide is. I listened to it twice the first day. It lifts you to a level that truly makes you feel so good. I'm buying the attracting wealth one, but this one is for everyone and everything. I just need to get my cat to stop trying to participate! Buy this! It's awesome.

3. Truly Awwwwwwesome!!!!!!!!!! - I started listening to it about a month ago and though I had the first one I knew if kelly had anything to do with it, it was going to be good, if not at least better than the first one. I just never expected it to change my life the way it has. I have a few physical disabilities, but this program has helped me look past that. I am more assertive, I say what I think, which before was very hard for me. All in all A Supreme Confidence Builder beyond compare!

4. Skeptical? dont be - heres how i know this has worked through my personal experience with this. i hadn't listened tot his in a while and i remembered i had it and started playing it again as i fell asleep, i was in a fairly stressful time and the droning sounds from the music really opened my heart and released a lot of tension. i woke up more refreshed and at ease than i had in a while. I'm glad i remembered it and use it more often. it will help too, although if your experiencing miraculous cures or something, check your intentions, and focus, i believe the miraculous could happen!
I also received a lot more messages in dreams around problems or questions i had and asked for a dream to give me guidance. this music and the cd helped me to clear the emotional smog and get to sleep and dream clearly and the messages have come through better.

5. Like her first album better - I bought her secret universal meditation the first time she put it out and thought I'd try this second version, but it doesn't do it for me... I don't like that she speaks in the second.. You will.. You are.. Instead if I am, i have... I get hung up on this and cannot sleep when I listen to it! Lol. It's beautiful nonetheless and I've had profound experiences with the first cd..it just really depends on how you like your affirmations.

6. i thought this was truly amazing.......... - What an awesome gift this was to myself. Somewhat new to the metaphysical world, and this was the first "type" of these meditative/subconscious albums I had ever puchased and it was exactly what I needed. What a great manifestation! Like many other reviews read, Kelly has a great soothing and calming voice. It was a litte "weird" at first just cause i had never indulged in something like this, but I quickly got addicted to it. I have owned this particular one for bout months now and I still regularly listen to it. I have bought a few other of hers now. Good stuff, definitely worth the money in my opinion.

7. OMG! - This is one of my favorites! I love the introduction how she explains how this works on the mind. It is so positive and relaxing. It really reaffirms my brain to think positive and relax. I feel content after listening to her and the music after. My body and mind feels so relaxed. Dang, I want her autograph! No, but seriously this is awesome!

8. Fabulous......Fabulous and oh yeah....Fabulous... - This is a Must have. It not only works consciencously but if you fall asleep it works better! Between this and the Edwene Gaines audio books I got from I tunes, I am on the right road. If Posperity is what you are seeking Edwene Gaines, Catherine Ponder, and this one from Kelly Howell are Must Haves!

9. Relaxing and grounding - Let me begin by saying that I am a Kelly Howell fan. This was a pleasant surprise after her first Secret Meditation that was released a few years ago. While the first one never resonated with me this one is a hit. The audible portion of this meditation is in the second person and for me it was easier to follow than the first one which was in first person. By saying the affirmations in the second person it became easier for me to believe. I listened to this every night for six weeks and found that I became even more grounded as a person and much better able to cope with stress. I highly recommend this CD!

1. Living the Solution - I purchased this because it is hard for me to sit down and read. I am so glad I did not listen to the comments about the "movie guy" narrator. It is a little adjustment when listening for the first time. The purpose of the book is to carry the message and it does! I realized after my second time listening to it that I wasn't even focused any more on the voice.. just the message. I heard so much more than ever!! Highly recommended! Well worth it!! Just give it a chance... IDENTIFY.. DON'T COMPARE AND ENJOY!!

2. Glad on MP - But reading has mistakes - I was glad to find the big book on iTunes. I read the reviews of people who didn't like the reader's voice. I was okay with that. I thought, however, I didn't like that he mis-spoke many of the words in the book. Many important parts of the book. It was obvious he wasn't a friend of Bill W and was just announcing the words, not feeling the content. For example, he said, "Rarely have we seen someone FALL who has thoroughly followed our path." It's FAIL...not FALL... There are number of examples like that. I found it distracting. Wish someone who knew the program would have read it. But, as I said, nice to have a chance to hear the book in the car or while out and about.

3. traditions and our name missunderstood. - The WSO does sell the big book on tape, and on CD, as this is also COPYWRITED I am assuming it is them as well. Funds from this go to help make more literature, we could only hope that we could get all of our books on tape. To do so would cost the WSO money, money that either comes from donations or from "sales" like this. Please dont think that AA is profiting from sales, as it is not. Back in the 's there was a surplus from sales, so they cut the cost of the literature. As to those saying our name is ... do some homework (like read Dr Bob and the good old timers) we get our name from the book, and the first two names bill choose were all ready taken. AA is AA to remind us of the stigma that we carry, not so much today as we did in . Lives used to be destroyed by us saying so and so is here (still is in some rare cases, as I know a major surgon in my local AA.) The name isnt lets all hide. If you found this you looked. it wasnt promoted. As for the speaker on these tapes, its about as dry as reading it. If you think you can do better join a book study and read to your hearts content. The WSO made this not for our lazyness, but for those who could not read. And I bet that those who needed it really didnt care about tone, but the fact that they too could get the book in thier head. If you REALLY want to make a difference in the voice attend distict/area meetings, call the WSO, or make your own copy (and as a plus you get to read the whole thing too) As to the cost, go look up what the CD version costs at your local intergroup. last i checked it was still USD. ODAT

4. Traditions Need Not Apply - One more example of someone profiting from AA. Shameless. The GSO already makes available these audio books to those with needs. The local Service Committees will do the same. Crap like this will continue to be published as long as there is an idiot to buy it. Please quit buying this stuff and let’s keep AA AA, and not BB.

5. Quality recording - pleasant to listen to - definately a bargain - I purchased this with some reservations about the quality of the recording and the reader's voice and style. Once I had listened to it I was happy I had purchased it. The reader's tone of voice, inflections, etc are animated just enough. Anything more might become tedious with repeated listening; anything less would be too monotone and boring. There are no snap, crackles, or pops, and the man's voice is loud, clear, and pleasant to listen to. I am perfectly happy with this product and consider it money very well spent. A linguist who has sponsored men with difficulty reading told me encouraging his sponsees to listen to the audio while reading from the text helps them with improving their reading skills while also digesting the information in the book. He uses this method himself while learning new languages.

6. A life saver - The complain about the narrator is senseless. It reveals the core of the alcoholic's problem: Self-centeredness. This book is a life saver and it is very clearly read as any educational audio-book is. BUY IT! For you, for a friend... just buy it. A TIP: Get a $ iTunes gift card AND GIVE IT TO A YOUNG ALCOHOLIC IN NEED.
2009-02-01
7. What are you bringing to the party? - The program of AA is about what we can give. Finding what we can identify with has absolutely zero to do with a "narrators" voice. The first pages of the "Big Book" is our basic text, whether read in Spanish,English,Dutch,French etc... it is not of any difference. The message is in the print, god bless those of us that have found it and even more those that need to find it. If you are blind and this is the only method that you can hear the message,i'd call that a miracle!
2008-11-23
8. It's the message not the messenger ! - Some of you people are missing the point ! The one's who are complaining about the reader should realize that it is the message being delivered not the messenger delivering it . ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS has saved my life for continuous years . I would buy the book even if it was read by Donald Duck !
2008-10-16
9. Grateful Alcoholic - I'm from Cali. It's kind of a cool thing to have this on audiobook but personal the narrators voice is a kind of annoying in my humble opinion. I suggest getting the free A.A. speaker podcast that's really awesome. It's kinda like a meeting on-the-go. Thanks for letting me share [inside joke].
2008-09-06
10. Nothing wrong with this version - I think the people that are complaining about the narrator are alcoholics that are looking for one more reason not to listen to the message....or go to a meeting.... Listen to the message.....this is one of the greatest spiritual messages ever delivered...no matter who reads it.
2008-06-25
11. if i could give in stars i would!!! - i cant believe i almost listened to some of the negative comments and almost didnt get this, this is the big book-anyone that needs to read the big book would appreciate this, new in sobriety im having trouble reading and i thought this would be good and it is better then good-its the big book in its original writing, cant get any better then that!! for anyone that doesnt like the guys voice, im a fan of books on tapes and im pretty sure hes done some danielle steele reading, it helps people in recovery and that is what matters, not pronunciations!!!
2008-05-12
12. Who cares what the guy sounds like? - I can't say it really surprises me too much that people would focus on piddly crap like the narrator's voice or whether or not he's alcoholic...if you're a real alcoholic like me there are always an endless number of "reasons" not to hear a message I don't want to hear. As for me, I'm gratefull this resource is available! Keep comin' back!!

13. The Big Book - I've been sober for a little over years now! My personal experience with the AA step program has been nothing short of a miracle by the God of my understanding. The suggestions in this book, if followed, will change your life like it did me. I drank from age to age . That is over half of my life. I hope if who ever is considering this book they buy it today! It is never too late. I

14. A good substitute if you are unable to read at the time - This edition is great for listening at work or in the car when you are not able to actually ready the book. Get it any way you can! Not sure why people are hung up on the voice. It is the message that counts and if someone is not able to read their book at the time, this is the next best thing.
2008-03-26
15. Great help for those that have reading problems - One of the things I run into frequently is when helping people understand the AA program we read the Book. Nearly half of the people I have worked with have difficulty reading. This recording allows those people to study at home - reading along. Its a win-win for them. They learn from the Big Book and also improve their reading. The comments about the narrator are true. He can be a bit annoying but the benefits outway this. Recommended for anyone who studies this text book.
2008-01-20
16. Principles above Personalities .... - Personally, I listened to the samples of each chapter and honestly don't understand what the issue is with some of the poor reviews. Like someone else said, I am very grateful that someone took the time to record this so that I can listen to it at times that I could not otherwise just sit and read. This is and will continue to be a blessing to me. Seems like I heard somewhere in a meeting to listen to the principles, not the personalities -- perhaps those who wrote negative reviews might consider that.
2008-01-10
17. Somewhat annoying - I am glad I downloaded this, although I can agree somewhat with the other comments on the style of reading. It sounds like a trained voice-over person, and he has a cadence that sounds like he should be reporting sports on the TV news. However, considering that this is one of the most central texts of my life, I appreciate having it on my Ipod and for easy transport. Maybe I'll even hear something differently than I have in the past from many readings. ODAT.
2007-12-13
18. Excellent Companion - I use this as a companion to my hard copy of The Big Book, th Edition. I enjoy being able to listen while I follow along in the book. It's almost like my own private AA meeting in my bedroom. Granted without the amazing fellowship and advice. :) I highly recommend it if you're a person who enjoys when others read allowed.
2007-12-10
19. This is not for entertainment... - I can't believe these reviews complain about the audiobook narrators voice. Every chapter has a second preview you can listen to before you buy. Being intoxicated while purchasing this audiobook is not recommended, as must be the case of some of these reviewers. The voice is consistent with many educational audiobooks, and it is not narrated by the Movie Phone guy. This book isn't to entertain. It's to get the message of the book through your ears and into your head. If the mans voice is keeping you from getting the help you need, then please feel free to buy the physical book and attend more AA meetings.
2007-11-05
20. Please Read This Before Buying! - This is terrible- it's like the guy from Movie Phone narrating the big book- complete with pronounciation mistakes. Nothing like listening to tales of tragedy and spritual awakening done as a west coast hollywood dramedy trailer voiceover. (or is that giving it too much credit?) I'm so sorry I paid for this (which is strange anyway, since the big book is usually free). Better editions probably exist for free on the internet. Find them before making this mistake!

1. Bad listening experience, NOT Conference Approved. - The editing is not very good. Intros and outros are choppy, and there are many times where a section is repeated after a few minutes. This recording is also NOT AA Conference Approved, and should NOT bear the name of the fellowship on it's cover art.

1. Excellent historical story of ancient things - I like to find stories that are from ancient times and this one is excellent. Dan weaves an vast amount of research and knowledge into an entertaining and mentally engaging piece of history. This is one, if you are a fan of history like me, you will listen to more than once - guaranteed.

2. Great episode - This is one of the first Hardcore History episodes I've ever heard and needless to say it had me hooked from then on. The episode focuses on, well, the downfall of Ninevah and the destruction of the Assyrian empire at the hands of those who had been oppressed by that empire.
Dan sprinkles in great anecdotes about the Assyrian leaders, culture and how they set the template for future dominating empires to come.A wonderful introduction to the Assyrians and to Hardcore History.

1. Decades disappear - I enjoyed the disc set immensely for a few months after I downloaded it from iTunes, then, gradually, a decade at a time has started to disappear. So far, one in the Joyful and one in the Glorious. The only comment from iTunes is there’s an “error,” then nothing. There’s no way to purchase a decade replacement and have it inserted in the right place.

2. Very nice - but TOO FAST! - I pray the Rosary a couple of times a day and I wanted a recording so that I could pray the Rosary with 'others', whenever I wanted. The music and mediations on the Mysteries are truly glorious - but I find myself difficult to keep up with the fast pace of the prayers! I wish that I could just slow it down a bit! Otherwise, just perfect.
2013-04-29
3. The Complete Rosary -Disc Set - I have been using this for about a week. The female reader seems to be in a race, and an unsteady one at that, racing through the Hail Mary's at varying speeds. Hard to keep up with her. Makes it hard to think about what you should be thinking about when you are racing to keep up.
2010-05-25
4. Mrs Tammy Morabito - The beautiful music only adds to this rosary. It helps me to reflect/meditate more deeply on the mysteries. This is my favorite rosary app. And I have several, including an audio one. It is correct that the rd decade of the Glorious Mystery only has Hail Marys...just add one when you pray it...
2009-09-30
5. Hail Mary Missing - At first I thought it was me, but I didn't believe it that there was an error in making the CD. When I was saying the Rosary, on Disc , Track (The Glorious Mysteries - rd Decade - The Descent of the Holy Spirit), there are only Hail Mary's said, instead on . I have played this track three times to make sure that I am was not mistaken. Other than of this one error, the CD is great.

6. Awesome Rosary CD!! The best I've ever heard!!! - This cd of the Rosary is the best I have ever heard. The music in the background and singing is incredible. 1. My First HH - the one that caused my intense addiction. - I recommend this one to anyone who loves What-Ifs, English/British history, and an entertaining look at history from someone who is a fan like myself. Dan, as far as I can remember, professes himself to be a fan of history and not a historian, but his research and weaving of the tales of history are immediately infectious and enjoyable. Please give this one a try and I believe you will be immediately hooked as was I.

1. Celebrate - Every year on Martin Luther King day I listen to his speeches. It is a great way for me to celebrate a very important holiday. It is rare that I agree with people who complain about paying for content. However a comment about this being content that you find in a library and not some Dave Mathews EP was well said.
2012-01-15
2. Ti: - ...the worker is worthy of his wages - I understand the thought that these speeches should be free but I greatly appreciate the fact that iTunes has made them so readily available for such an inexpensive price. Thanks to iTunes, even though I am overseas, I can download and enjoy these speeches instantly. My children will now have ready access to them as well. I have never seen an anthology of Martin Luther King Jr.'s speeches in any record store or library and even if it were available free of charge, there is a cost involved. At a minimum, it would cost me the time and fuel for the search and acquisition. What if I couldn't pick it up and asked the store or library to mail it to me? They would have to charge me for shipping and handling. Where can you find someone that provides an instant shipping service? If you could find such a service, don't you think it would be worth paying them? Well, in iTunes you have found such a service and they are only charging $.. What a steal of a deal for Dr. King's power and wisdom all in one package given to you instantly!!! If you really think it should be free, then why not produce it yourself and make it freely available for the rest of the world to enjoy? Oh, that would cost you a lot of money wouldn't it? $. to purchase it through iTunes is an absolute bargain. The bottom line is that iTunes has done a great service in making these speeches available to the world and they deserve to be rewarded for that service. Thank you iTunes, keep up the great work!

3. ITUNES IDEA - hello itunes, since so many of your customers feel this service should be free and of course you guys want to make money...perhaps what you could do is match % of each sale and donate it to the new martin luther king building in atlanta. most people would be happy to contribute in any way and they would have timeless speeches that may in fact be invalueable relics of their heritage. Just an ITUNES IDEA.

4. Apple is becoming the Evil Empire - Apple is now a money hungry beast that must be feed at all times, just like Microsoft. I understand it's a buisness but selling material that should be in the public domain is wrong. Especially as this country has elected its first black president. This is the time to listen and learn from history, but Apple (much in the way that it makes overpriced products and relies on a closed market system to make a profit) like the street vendors selling ironed on Obama shirts has decided it's time to make money. Greed...
2009-02-04
5. Yes, charging for this. - Understand that a significant portion of the profits on sales go to the Martin Luther King Jr. Estate. It has been embroiled in family disputes recently but a significant part of the money in the past has gone to charities. And there are costs to reproduce and distribute. These speeches are a valuable part of history and should be listening for everyone but as the inauguration speech today should tell us all, there are no free lunches and we need to learn to pay our fair share.
2009-01-20
6. Get off Apple's case for charging for it! - If you want something free or temporary, go to the library. If you want something forever, be willing to pay for it, and Dr. King's speeches in his own voice are worth every penny. I'll bet that the record company did not provide it free to Apple. Also, the Martin Luther King Foundation keeps pretty tight control over both printed and recorded publications of his work, and they don't give much away for free. I have not bought this album yet, but my rating is based on its exclusion of "I have a Dream."
2008-08-11
7. Utterly ridiculous - It is utterly ridiculous that this content is not free! Was there a charge for admission when Martin Luther King Jr. gave his great "I have a dream" speech? I would assume not, but I wasn't even slightly alive at the time. Records of the speech (along with other speeches) might have been sold back then but that was a different time. Content this important to our history and humanity is priceless! It must be made available to all!!!

8. long live the dream - we will never again have a man like mr king. we need more heros of which we have none, nobody for young children young or old to look up to. mlk saved us from ourselves. we are a nation or world of destructive people. god save the memory of one of the last great men on the planet, from a white ,biker yr old that is looking still

9. YOU WRONG MICH YOU WRONG - THIS MAN IS SOMEONE TO IDOLIZE, ONE MAN THAT MADE A DIFFERANCE WITHOUT THE USE OF VIOLENCE. YOU WHITEI DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HIM IF YOU GO ACT LIKE THAT. MICH HE LOVED WHITE PEOPLE AND IF HE DIDN'T THAN I WOULD STILL BE WRITING BECAUSE YOU KNOW HOWTHE WHITES HAVE BEEN TREATING HIM LATELY, YOU DON'T BECAUSE YOU WHITE YOU DON'T UNDERSTANT WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM. A LOSS N THEIR FAMILY WAS DAILY BECAUSE OF THE WHITES AND YOU KNOW THE WORST PART, THEY'RE ATILL PEOPLE LIKE THAT JUST LIKE YOU MICH.. JUST LIKE YOU...
2008-02-18
10. Invaluable - Martin Luther King Jr. is one of a handful of visionary indiviuals who have had a profound impact on all of our lives. Profound in the sense that through the force of his will he helped change the direction of American society. His ideas and beliefs helped guide the most powerful social movement in American history. These ideas and beliefs are captured in these speeches which, thankfully, will live on in digital format. Rightfully, we will never forget him. Only an ignorant society would choose to ignore the lessons of the past. We must never forget that race is not a real concept and has never been supported either morally or scientifically (read the "The Journey of Man"). Race is one of those unfortunate human conventions developed out of convenience to support economic inequality, nothing more and nothing less. P.S.: this would have been perfect if this collection included the "I Have a Dream" speech (no, it's not the same as "The American Dream" speech). However, you can find "I Have a Dream" for free on the Internet.

11. Must not be Forgotten - I just bought the whole album and I have to say, this was a very good deal. This will keep me going even through my most hardest times. Mr. King Jr was a great man and people should look to him as an example. We are going through hard times right now in our world, no one can deny it, however, we must be like this guy and have high hopes about us, our world, our future. But to do so, we must change, right now.

1. Hilarious - I first heard part of her rafting story on satellite radio but did not know who she was. One day I heard her familiar voice on the radio again and caught her name. Since then I've shared her humor with countless others of all walks of life, and each of them roll with laughter. She is definitely worth listening to when you want a laugh because Jeanne always delivers.

2. Made my family sit down and laugh along - I got this for myself I was playing it at my desk. My husband and teenage daughter both came in and listened with me. We had plenty of chuckles and many full on belly laughs. You can listen to it a month later and it will make you laugh all over again. I had previously gotten Southern Style and I listen to it when I need a pick me up... often with this economy. Thanks Jeanne. Now put your videos on itunes!

3. Absolutely Hilarious - This CD is wonderfully funny. Jeanne Roberston has such a comedic take on life. All of the tracks on this album had me rolling on the floor. I especially enjoyed the four tracks where Jeanne discusses the eight day rafting trip. I thorougly enjoyed this album and can't wait for more releases. Definately recommended!!!

1. I wish there were a visual - I would love to see her facial expressions as she was delivering this. I wanted to take off half a star but that is not possible anymore. However, this is definitely worth more than four stars. I've heard this on a record album (i.e. no gaps between tracks) which had some serious humor moments that seem to be missing from here.

1. About to listen - Haven't listened yet, but I'm excited as usual when about to listen to a new [to me] history cast from Dan Carlin. Joe Rogan turned me onto Dan and I've listened to the Death Throes start to finish about times and scattered parts of it more than that. I just finished it again today while installing insulation above my freezing kid's rooms. I thought it would be interesting to see how I feel about "Shield of the West" before and after hearing it. TIme to blow some leaves and listen to history. star rating until I actually hear it. :-)

2. another great one - Talking about the Greco-Persian wars is a great topic for hardcore history and I really enjoyed it. I was a little suprised that as far as Dan gets in loooking past the Mythology he still views Thermopylae as a Greek victory which it isnt, the big Greek victory is the naval battle of Salamis . Also I would have liked a mention of how the Persians interfered with later Greek politics. Those are more viewpoint disagreements than anything else though. Great insight and new information about the war.

1. William Shatner stand aside - I bought this podcast based on Sam Harris' amazingly positive review of Dan's work and am sorely disappointed. Anything interesting and relevant Carlin has to say is grossly overshadowed by his staccato, carnival barker delivery. The sound effects added make the production feel more like a cheesy morning radio show than a richly produced historical document. I can't recommend this at all.

2. Explores the ripples of WWI - This episode shows how groundbreaking the First World War was and shows how omnipresent the shadow of the war still hangs. This is Dan Carlin showing how interesting year old history can be and how far we've come. Dan goes back to a time before people asked 'why should I die for country (or King and Queen or Kaiser or Czar or...)?'

1. A wonderful refreshment - In the midst of a busy life, the Rosary can be overlooked with many excuses available. Discoverying Gretchen's "The Rosary", I found that in a simple, but powerful way, with no extra prayers, no singing... but with her wonderful music in the background, my heart over five decades could be raised to great heights. And then I could return to my creative work refreshed, and many times thoughts and ideas behond me were inspired! Thank you Gretchen! Thank you Mary!

2. It's excellent! - This album is phenomenal. I commute for an hour and a half each way in NYC, and this helps me pray on the train. I'm also able to use it during my workday -- right at my desk. Basically, you have no excuse to go a day without the rosary - this facilitates a seamless contemplative life. You can pray anywhere! I absolutely love it and highly recommend!

3. A peaceful prayer - I highly recommend this recitation of the rosary. The spoken word is soothing and the background music is tranquil. I own a few other rosary versions and this has to be my favorite. One of the things I appreciate is that it is not distracting in its form or music. It is uplifting and thought provoking as I ponder each mystery and meditation associated with the mystery.

4. Straight forward, no frills - If you're looking for a straight forward, no frills, yet prayerful Rosary, you have it here. There is light background music, but nothing that gets in the way of the words. The prayers follow a traditional lead/follow format. A male voice (which changes for each set of mysteries) leads and the female voice follows. Each set of mysteries starts announcing the set and the Apostle's Creed. Each mysteries starts with announcing the mystery and the Fruit of the mystery and then continues with Our Father, Hail Mary’s, The Glory Be, The Fatima Prayer and concludes with Come Holy Spirit, Come. The th mystery always concludes with the Hail Holy Queen and O God, Whose Only-begotten Son... I outline the prayers simply because one was unfamiliar to me. I hope you find it as calming and prayerful as I have. Enjoy and God Bless!

5. A true blessing - This recitation is the rosary is complete, concise and reverent. It is a wonderful aid to both those who know the rosary and those who are still learning it. Once you arrange it, (Mine is arranged Mon & & Sat-Joyful Mysteries, Tue & Fri-Sorrowful Mysteries, Wed & Sun-Glorious Mysteries, Thu-Luminous Mysteries), it is very easy to follow. It puts you in a soothing and peaceful state of mind. Perfect.

6. The Rosary by Gretchen Harris - I am a recent convert to Catholitism. Of all the wonderful devotions available, the Rosary makes praying the Gospel lovely. This artist, in combination with nice background music and a patient and kind voice of a male accompanying artist, makes for a prayer I do every morning. Please reward this artist with this masterpiece with your $ investment in yourself.

1. Essential - Easily the best and most engrossing of Dan's early podcasts. Steppe Stories describes in great detail the cultures and peoples that emerged from that "womb of nations." From the Scythians to the mighty Mongols, Dan touches on the most important tribes that came from the steppes. Highly entertaining and informative and one podcast I can easily re-listen to over and over again. If you enjoyed Dan's epic series on the Wrath of the Khans you'll enjoy this as he discusses their forebearers.

1. Take the title seriously! - I want to preface this by saying I like how Dan Carlin delves into history. I absolutely loved Death Throes of the Republic. Logical Insanity...grand. Thor's Angels and the Wrath of the Khans...great. Want to know what they all have in common? They are LOOONGGG! Because our Man Dan...he has a flaw. He is in love with the sound of his own voice. He narrates and dances around the subject and fills in all these little details which really don't move the narrative along. This is the worst example of this. Please take a look at the run time: around minutes. He spent TWENTY NINE of those minutes (yes, I checked) dancing around, kvetching, and whining about how it is impossible to actually make a fair podcast about the Cold War (you know...the reason you paid him the two dollars in the first place) Instead I getting exposition about political delicacy, historical theory etc. (I believe I heard him say THREE TIMES that some of these people are still alive. Whatsamatta? Your editor broke Dan?) So when he does a three hour podcast on the Theocracy of Mainz, or can stay on point with his minute episode on , he rocks. This episode? If you like the sound of his voice and a lot of hedging, buy it. Otherwise, he spends minutes in that and blaming Stalin. Not worth two bucks.

1. Warning if others out there are a little daft like myself - I was having a problem with duplicates syncing onto my iPad (new to Apple, should have stuck with what I knew!). So, I decided to delete duplicates in iTunes on my Windows computer. Well, since some of the tracks on this are the same name, same time...you guessed it, I now have pieces parts of the whole recitation. At this point, I'll probably just delete all since it's messed up. I'm not going to repurchase (ouch!), but, perhaps, this will save another newbie from ruining a good thing.
I really enjoyed it up until my goof - very relaxing and well-paced (I have a tough time when the rosary is said fast).

2. Father Benedict J's grocery - This work is a wonderful meditation guide with beautiful language and inspiring music. However I am only allowing it to stars because it has not been updated since the Pope John Paul two added the luminous mysteries in . I found a great shortcoming. I do not feel that this was made clear at the time of purchase. Although that may have been obvious to a sighted person

3. A work of divinity, deep, touching, and intimate meditations. - Fr. Benedict J. Groeschel and Catholic singer-songwriter Simonetta have composed a masterpiece. This rosary meditation is like none other I've ever experienced. Fr. Groeschel's voice is so surreal and Simonetta's interludes are timeless. This is a work of divinity, with deep, touching, and intimate meditations. I highly recommend this!

4. meditative - I cannot say it any better than others here have said. I have a variety of audio rosaries ad this by far the most inviting and beautiful. I addition to Fathers voice, Simonetta's singing and the instrumental in the background create an environment for us to place ourselves into the mysteries. Thank you. I highly recommend praying this rosary. I have been inspired to spend more time praying it.

5. This Album is Fantastic - Suggestion: break the album up into seven playlists in your iTunes application. Then each week, update the first track with the daily episode from the Pray as You Go podcast. Then add an episode of the Saint of the Day podcast at the end. Do that once a week and you have about an hour of contemplation and prayer each day using your iPod.

6. LOVELY! - This recording is so beautiful that when I lost the first set in a move, I missed it and had to order another set. I think Father Groeschel could read the phone book and it would be edifying. Of course I'm exaggerating, but there's just something about that gravelly voice and New York accent that is magnetic. I love the meditations, too - they bring things to mind that you may not have ever considered before. I have a lot of Father Groeschel's writings and he's tremendously gifted with the ability to put complicated concepts into words and analogies that are easy to understand. Simonetta has a lovely voice and both of them recite the prayers thoughtfully - at a good pace for meditation on the mysteries.

7. Profound presentation - Fr. Groeschel & Simonetta's recitation of the Rosary draws me deeper into the various mysteries than through quiet meditation and recitation on my own. Fr. Groeschel's meditations on the mysteries are powerful and thought-provoking. Simonetta's simple melody of "I Can't Do It Alone" sparks a new level of being drawn closer to God through His Mother, Mary.

8. Wonderful Rosary Meditation - Fr. Groeschel & Simonettta have produced a wonderful work. This meditation upon Jesus' life, death, and resurrection enables me to more easily place myself mentally into these events than I'm able to do so on many occasions by myself as I pray. I regularly use this work to pray the Rosary while I'm in a quiet place or even when I'm putting in a few miles on a running path around a nearby lake. I highly recommend this item.

1. Best when purchased with his book - These tracks are an accompaniment to Kabat-Zinn’s book "Wherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness Meditation In Everyday Life” which is available in book and ebook editions. The audio tracks are great and he has the tone of voice that I found very motivating and relaxing. What you’ll appreciate when you follow his simple and practical meditation insights is that there are both sitting and lying down versions. This is a small investment for something that really can help you cope with the exigencies and stresses of modern life.

1. Poorly read - The narrator is obviously not a member of AA. He mispronounces words and mis-reads sentences. There are also missing words. The other version available on iTunes is also poorly read. We need the Big Book and the Twelve and Twelve in audio! Someone with AA experience and a decent voice needs to record them.

2. Not the one to get - The speaker doesn't do a good job of speaking. He makes several mistakes as he reads and it's distracting. The album is incorrectly labeled as far as "songs" are concerned. There isnt a track labeled "The Family Afterward" instead it is labeled "To The Wives" twice. The audiobook is better read and properly labeled.

1. Not For Me? - I have taken voice lessons before and this cd does not work well for me. There needs to be more vocal technique instruction in the beginning than just a second example like some have. And there needs to be a que as to when to start like Ms. Branz has in the example. That's what you would expect right? I mean the scales start right in the middle of when I'm starting to take a full breath. I think Ms. Branz is a good vocal instructor, but I would prefer to see her in person. Please answer YES to let me know if this review helps anyone or if you have bought this album and understand what I am saying about this cd. Thanks :)

2. Excellent - I am a singer/actor and I have taken vocal lessons for most of my life. This is the first CD I have bought commercially that deals with warm-ups outside of my taking vocal lessons. I have to tell you, I bought it simply because it would go on my ipod and I could take it to auditions. It's like having a warm-up coach at your fingertips. The exercises are structured in the same order that is done in vocal lessons and they are complete and straightfoward. However, like Christina says in her introduction, it shouldn't be used for someone who has never sang before. For that, she suggests going to a vocal coach. It's good that she says that simply because there are a lot of programs out there that promise for you to become the next American Idol and so forth, which is not at all plausible simply from a CD or computer program. This CD is complete and extremely helpful for the singer on the move.

3. Better than most of this type - Brava to the creator of this album for making it clear that such programs/albums are NOT a replacement for real voice lessons with a human being. This could be a worthwhile suppliment to an intermidiate voice student who knows a thing or two about vocal health and his or her own strengths and limits.

4. Warm-Ups and Exercises - This is a Wonderful tool, its straight forward and to the point good for male and female singers. Eliminates the need for a piano to warm up and is great to use as a tool if you do not have a keyboard or don't know how to play the keyboard, I am an R&B singer and I recommend it to anyone who needs to warm up or practice but for whaever reason does not have a keyboard and or accompanist to play for them. YeaH YayeE

5. Straightforward piano scales and intervals - This is a great tool for a singer who wants some structured warm-up practice but doesn't have access to a piano or keyboard skills. I use it to warm up in the car on the way to gigs and rehearsals. There is no instruction on vocal technique, so I wouldn't recommend it for an inexperienced singer.
